Product Reviews:

Dealer service is extremely poor. Terrible customer service, communication and turn times. Corporate is arrogant, like they are doing you a favor. Purchased new at dealer and serviced at dealer. Multiple expensive repairs. Never purchasing another.

Range Rover Evoque - Car lost power on the highway going uphill. The dealership said I had a blown turbo charger and the car had 57k miles on it so it was not under warranty. $4k later & two weeks in the shop I have the car back and am nervous to drive it. I've also had both front headlights blow out during a nasty snow storm & dealership had no idea why. Good thing that happened under warranty or else I would have had to pay. The car is dangerous and there should be a suit against Land Rover.

It's an absolutely excellent vehicle. These vehicles have something for everyone. It's sophisticated and classy for any city trips and has power and reliability for off road or inclement weather. It's a good looking vehicle that's built rugged but loaded with style. Part of the long standing tradition that makes this vehicle what it is. Dozens of upgrades are also available including different paint schemes and interior choices and different entertainment options. Passenger room is adequate plenty of seating available 4 up to 6 adults. Room is comfortable and plenty of interior upgrades that make long trips tolerable.

Water leaks from a manufacturing defect related bad seam in the roof and poor seal in the side panel C pillar caused corrosion of the AV electrical components in the rear hatch area, resulting in multiple failures of the bluetooth phone module, amplifier, navigation unit. Technical Service bulletins issued identifying the problem as water ingress, but dealer failed to fix the leaks or to let customer know about the TSBs. Rover service rep lied about the cause. Extensive litigation ongoing over statute of limitations when repair or replace warranty is breached. Lesson: sue Rover often and early.

The headrests in the 2015 Range Rover are not designed properly. They are tilted to push your head in a forward position, and cannot be tilted backwards enough to be level with the seat. They are extremely uncomfortable and causing neck aches, for both driver and front passenger. Land Rover was contacted but said there was nothing that could be done. I did not have that problem with my previous two Range Rovers. I do not have this issue with any of my other cars.

My car's headlights is broken and I was trying to get an appointment to get fix. I was told that they're busy and a service supervisor will call. I waited all weekend but never got a call from them. I called again but told me that the earliest appt they can give me is July 3 which is about 3 weeks. I explained it to them that I need it so badly because this is my only way to get to work but Jenny said that she can't do anything earlier than July 3. For just a headlight, I need to wait 3 weeks!!! My car is a lease and I don't want anyone to just fix it and will end up messed up. And besides, when they we're doing the sales talk to convince me to get a car from them, the sales rep advise me that for any problem it's better to bring it to them, that they have the best service. Freaking BIG LIE!!! Land Rover has the WORST SERVICE EVER. I use to have a BMW and this is the BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER to switch to Land Rover. I pay my lease on time and I don't deserve this kind of service. My safety is compromised and because of all this disappointments and frustration I ended up having the headache and triggered my hypertension. THIS IS REALLY NOT FAIR!!! So whoever reads this review, you better think million times before you get a car from Land Rover!

The electrical system and suspension bags goes off while driving. This includes all electrical indicators (low coolant, HDC fault, cruise control, parking brake, fog lamp, check engine, seat belts, oil pressure, battery, air bags deploy, high beam indicator, and emergency flasher, suspension bags inflate and deflate). Brought it to Land Rover January 2014 and service advisor said everything was fine. Took it back on February 2014 with the same problem and when he turned on the ignition, the problems above occurred. We have been in contact almost on a weekly basis for an update. To date, they still have the car. He thinks it might be the instrumental panel on the dash board but is only 70% sure. To replace that, it would cost us $1,400.00. If the problem continues, then bring it back for another diagnostic evaluation. It is unfair for us to pay for something that they are not certain will fix the problem and will not be refunded if the same problem occur but said if it does, then to bring it back for another diagnostic evaluation. At our expense? Is this fair? Is this a defective item on the 2006 LR3?

Love this brand. There is such variety from cars, trucks, to SUV. They have every available upgrade you could also want and are happy to help you add and figure out what it is you want exactly. This is my favorite part - adding the things I knew my family would need. I love that you can add what you want to the car without a hassle like heated seats or a Bluetooth stereo. The built in tv in the headrest for my kids is perfect. Love how sleek and clean the look of this brand is. There's always enough room for the kids as well as the groceries. There's also plenty of room for the drivers and passengers instead of being cramped. And they have amazing customer service that is always happy to help when there's a problem or question.

The fact that they are endangering me and fiancée’s life by letting me drives a car that is seriously defective. Causes me to question the intentions of the companies risk management practices and their exposure in the event of an accident. I have made several telephone complaints throughout the years and have taken the vehicle in for various repairs but more importantly it is the engine/turbocharger issue that endangers my fiancée’s life when the vehicle is not operating properly. It will not accelerate and I will have to turn off the engine and restart the car. This is very unsafe and has been in the shop for over 44 days over a 24 months period. This was a brand new Range Rover Evoque -2013.As stated in the Motor Vehicle Warranty and Lemon Law we notified Land Rover of our intentions to have them buy back the car. Case Number #**. We began the request for a repurchase from Land Rover for the purchase or buyback for our 2013 Range Rover Evoque under the California Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. They feel that they be didn’t have enough attempts that make the value of safety of car worthy of this act. They did offer a goodwill gesture of $1500 however by offering the money; they are acknowledging that there are numerous issues with this 2013 Range Rover Evoque. After being in the shop numerous times for Turbo Charger/Engine issues, we again took it in for service again in February 12, 2015, we didn't get it back until February 20th, 2015 and it will still need to go back to the shop. Mile 29924 (7 Days). The check engine light is on again, and it’s lacking power, and is red lining at 6000 RPM before it shifts gears. Joe went on test drive with the technician and the service writer to show them what he means. The technicians stated to Joe with the service writer in the car that something wasn't right with the turbocharger and that the engine was working too hard which is why it was causing it to shift at such a high RPM, however the Land Rover agent, is trying to say it’s something else. In reviewing the most recent paperwork, I don’t see why it would take 7 days to fix a bulb, which is how the latest service repair reads, nothing about Joe going on the test drive, and showing the red lining of the RPMs before it shift. They stated in the service contract that it was the thermostat regulator is not performing, they needed to do an update. There is no documentation that was witnessed by the Service Writer and the Technician that Joe went on the test drive and showed them it was red lining in the report or the notes. Which leads me to questions how truthful and forthcoming they have been with writing all the other service reports in Land Rovers favor. In Summation - THE "LEMON LAW" AND WHAT IS A REASONABLE NUMBER OF REPAIR ATTEMPTSAccording The Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (beginning with Civil Code section 1790) we qualify for the lemon law and protection for a newly leased vehicle, when a dealer is unable to meet the terms express written warranty after a reasonable number of repair attempts, the manufacture is required to promptly replace the vehicle or return the purchase price of the lessee or buyer.SECTION (B-1) This is an UNSAFE vehicle and in the event I cannot accelerate through traffic or end up in an accident because of the poor quality of the engine and number of attempts to replace the turbo engine/charger is now going on its third repair. And it is currently back in for service repair again (February 12, 2015 5 days and counting) with the check engine light on. According to the mechanic that did a ride along with Joe **, it’s back in the shop because the engines is working overtime, and redline shifts at 6000 RPM, again making it unsafe to drive. The dealership since then knowingly put me back into a car that had numerous Turbocharger and engine problems and therefore doesn’t consider my life and safety to be a concern for them with this many engine attempts to fix a bad Engine/Turbocharger issue. If I get into an accident because of the lack of power/engine/turbocharger, and get T-boned by on-coming traffic and end up in the hospital, only then they would consider purchasing back the car? Or by then I could be dead, so then I guess they would win because they wouldn't have to buy back the car and just have a lawsuit on their hands for wrongful death.SECTION (B -2) within the first 18,000 miles or 18 months these problems are still happening and the same problem like engine/turbocharger issues where I cannot accelerate to move out of oncoming traffic can cause death or serious bodily injury, and has been subject to repair two or more times by the manufacturer! Are they waiting for me to get in a horrible accident and then I would qualify for the LIFE THREATENING incident?SECTION (B-3) The vehicle is out of service because of the number of repairs and problems this 2013 Range Rover Evoque is having and although the manufacturer has made a number of attempts, the car is still very problematic. This vehicle has a cumulative total of more than 30 days since the delivery of the vehicle; it is actually now going on 44 days and counting. Despite repeated attempts at repair by Land Rover Service, the 2013 Range Rover Evoque still remains defective and therefore there has been a failure and refusal to conform the product to its express warranty under the law.In closing, and just a personal question to whoever is reading this…in looking over the services records, would you let your 16 year old son or daughter drive this vehicle? Would you be comfortable buying this car from me knowing the service/repair history I have attached. Can you honestly say you would feel comfortable driving this car yourself?

I purchased my Discovery Sport 5 years ago and the moment payments were complete and warranty was up the timing chain broke, damaged the valves and failed the engine entirely. This incident happened a few days ago on the highway (clearly safety issues here!) and I was lucky enough that I could pull over and stay in one piece. Vehicle was towed and dealership first told me in order to replace the valves and fix everything it costs 10,000 $. They then called again and said they don't even feel comfortable with that because it can fail again so the entire engine needs to be rebuild therefore cost will come to 20,000$!!Now to be clear, I have serviced this car year every year (64000 miles currently aka well below 100k miles) since purchase and have completed all the recommended replacements and services with the dealership asked me to do since 2015. In fact the question now is why at each service visit multiple parts had to be replaced (costing anywhere from 500-4000) and now at 5 year mark the entire engine fails!!! Do your research. I looked this up and there is a lawsuit in 2018, same incident right after the 5 mark warranty. The customer's car shut down when the customer was driving (in NJ).Company should be paying 100% for this repair or simply buy this junk back from me and give me a new car. I am in a back and forth situation with the dealership. I called the company and they opened the claim for me but the person on the phone had the audacity to ask me "well I am not sure what you want us to do here". They also haven't bothered following up. No one made any comment about the safety either!! As of now it is clear to me the company does not back their own products and they failed to inform the customers about the issue or recalling it when they knew very well timing chain has ongoing issues. More importantly safety is not their concerns at all!!! This matter will be escalated on my part! Don't buy their product!!! Choose wisely and do your research. I will be happy to spread the word on every social media platform so customers are aware and know their safety is at risk!
