Land Rover Range Rover Evoque maintenance service

Land Rover is a British brand of predominantly four-wheel drive, off-road capable vehicles, owned by multinational car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover, since 2008 a subsidiary of India's Tata Motors. JLR currently builds Land Rovers in Brazil, China, India, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom.

The 2022 Range Rover Evoque has a style stranglehold on its subcompact luxury SUV competitors, but its charms fall victim to practical downfalls such as its puny cargo area and snug rear-seat space. While the interior is well tailored and nicely outfitted, several dimensionally smaller rivals offer roomier cabins with similar equipment. Two available turbocharged engines are available and all-wheel drive is standard, but the Evoque's handling is less agile than SUVs such as the BMW X1, the Mercedes-Benz GLB-class, and the Volvo XC40. However, those crossovers can feel a bit more like pumped up hatchbacks than SUVs, and the Land Rover's off-roading heritage trickles down to the Evoque in the form of a tall riding position and a substantial feeling that makes it undeniably an SUV.

I have a 2010 RR Sport HSE and I have been having an issue with the battery needing a jump start from time to time, and I assume it was from all the corrosion around it... However I needed a boost and after it took a good 5 minutes to get started, after we removed the cables, the inside lights cut off, the truck ran for 1 minute and died again... I also noticed it has a leak and the coolant is leaking out... Can anyone shed light on why the battery is not keeping a charge even after the corrosion was removed and then the head led lights were flashing on and off... Has anyone ever encountered an issue like this and what could it be?

Blown engine at 85,000 miles. Several local shops said that car was running rough because of a blown turbo. 4K to fix, car still running rough. Take in to Range Rover and they say engine blown would be over 10k repair. No lights ever indicated it was the engine and I provided all oil change service records. They say that $10,900 is a discounted engine and at this time that is all they will do. There needs to be a recall on 2013-2015 Evoques. Engine issues are common. I will never buy a Range Rover again. I used to own three and now none. Whichever one you own, they do not stand by their products. I told them I was going to park the undrivable worthless car outside a common area with a sign and they sent me the phone number to the BBB. Save yourself and if you own one, get rid of it before it’s too late. I now drive a Toyota Land Cruiser and it’s like a dream. 122,000 miles and counting. No issues at all while the 2013 Range Rover Evoque rots in the driveway.

My Land Rover LSE current has 28,500 miles on it--mostly city miles (it is four years old). I have been forced to replace front and back brakes ($2300) and tires ($1200), all of which were not covered by warranty. I recently had to replace the stablizer (which fills the air in the suspension system) for $1200, also not covered by warranty. Needless to say, Land Rover should have taken care of all these issues since my car has so few miles!

The variety of cars I browsed was overwhelming. There was so much to choose from, and they each were very affordable and tailored to my needs. I had a hard time choosing which to get. The Land Rover that I ended up buying was a very beautiful car. It was sleek, shiny and not too big but was well equipped in the passenger capacity. It could easily fit six grown adults very comfortably and it was guaranteed a safe choice. Also, It's features were all wonderful. It included a gps, radio and state of the art car alarm. It had features implemented so that I was able to add some of my electronic devices which include my iPod and satellite radio.

It is a very unique vehicle. Runs smooth and has great electronics inside as well. Very keen to high speed and great performance. It has blue and black covering on it, has rugged tires, dim lights and great gauges. It has very sturdy, safety tested body as well. It has a great design of smooth texture interior, and has silk on the roof top and dim windows. I added hydraulics and blue lights to make it look cool and added cherry color to the top of the hood to give it my own unique design. It holds up to 6 people comfortable with ample leg room and great arm stretch, and it has a place to put ear plugs so passengers can listen to music. I would tell my friends and family about this vehicle because it gives off a great look and nice ride.

2009 Range Rover Sport HSE. Handling is not great. For the amount paid the suspension could be much tighter. The SUV electronics does not fare well in temperatures under 20 degrees f*. The engine runs great and feels extremely safe. Overall this suv is really about the looks over the functions. Lots of things have gone wrong and thankfully we have a 140k warranty which has been used A LOT!

Many different types that will suit everyone's needs. Very versatile. Customizable which is great perfect fits for everyone. I love how it looks like a nice classic car, without being too overly ostentatious. Suitable for everyday life. You can basically build your own car which I find the most satisfying. I find that this is the most comfortable car I have gotten since it's built just for me. This vehicle is very spacious, but not overly big. Holds all my family very well and we even have space left to spare. The trunk is of a decent size as well which I love. Best car I have ever owned.

Received new Range Rover HSE Diesel on December 26th, 2019. Took it to dealership in February with only 4,000 miles because brakes began to vibrate and "thump." Four months later and after speaking to five different people, I've now been referred to a Regional Manager. I have been consistently told that there are no rotors and brake pads in stock. What? How could this be when they continue to produce new vehicles. The brakes now vibrate so violently that I don't feel safe, but JLR says it's not a problem. Additionally, while my RR Diesel was extremely quiet when I purchased it, it began to sound like your typical tractor-trailer about the same time the brakes went bad. The dealer told me there was an additive for diesel engines as this was a known problem for vehicles operating in higher altitudes. I live at 7,000', so I accepted this answer. However, they apparently don't have the additive because this issue is still awaiting resolution as well. My wife also drives a RR HSE, but I'd have to say we are done with JLR.

Months ago we purchased a new Evoque and drove out to Death Valley for the Thanksgiving vacation. Running on the dirt road was very enjoyable till we had a flat tire. Well, flat tire should not be a problem at all since this is a new car and there is spare tire. The real problem happened when we noticed that the wheel has the special lock key bolt, and the car does NOT equipped with the tool to take off that special bolt! And there is no cell phone signal and we could not make a help call! The following time in that day was quite long. We were not able to change the spare tire, had to stay in the desert, waited from morning to afternoon till a car passed by. The gentlemen helped to carry me miles away where we could eventually make the call to road service. The truck finally came in after it was getting complete dark. We were carried to Las Vegas which has the Land Rover dealer. The next day was Thanksgiving so no one work. We had to wait one extra day before the flat tire can be fixed. We finally came back home safely. But the small mistake and the missed tool has given so much trouble and made the vacation such an unpleasant experience. And a complaint sent to the dealer, received no response at all till today...

After spending time deciding on an upgraded SUV, I was compelled to the Land Rover Discovery Sport. I felt that the brand name would mean quality and high technology. I was very very wrong. The 2019 model still does not even support Apple Car Play - this feature has been available in much lesser quality vehicles for many years. The website leads you to believe that 2017 models onwards were equipped.... this is incorrect. After leaving the dealership, I learned that my vehicle was having a technology issue as the incontrol element would not work and I could not start my vehicle remotely. After 1.5 months, after bouncing me around from person to person - they finally updated tele-metrics. I was told this would update the system and Car Play would be uploaded. They even asked me the brand of my phone for the update. They sent me home with the phone still not connected and said to call customer service. Which after again being bounced around - 2 weeks later they have told me 3 times that car play update needs to be completed and 4 times that my car is not eligible. I am blown away at the lack of support, lack of knowledge of their own product, lack of follow up and incredibly outdated technology for a $48,000 2019 car. I would suggest avoiding Land Rover as they are clearly a mess. The vehicle itself is incredibly sluggish and very basic in terms of finished and quality. I regret my decision to leave the big 3 in search of quality and new technology as Land Rover is clearly behind the times. Let’s face it - if Land Rover employees don’t even know what the brand offers and websites are misleading, clearly the vehicle quality matches.
