Less than impressed with this company and severely aggravated and disgusted. The Kia experience in general has really gone downhill in the past 10 years, but after my last purchase, it will be my last and I wish I could go back in time. From sales to service to Kias consumer affairs, everyone dropped the ball and rate a huge FAIL.Kia Consumer Affairs used to be a last line of sanity and a place to go where you could get help; now theyre just people who act like they are doing something, but ultimately just ignore you and never follow up or follow through. As others have said, watch the numbers closely in Finance because they will try to add things without asking. My last experience turned me so sour Ill probably get rid of this brand new 2021 car that is riddled with computer bugs and subpar paint before its even six months old. The car will start falling apart after the first year anyway. Terrible company with a terrible internal culture in how they deal with customers and they are turning out cheap vehicles.

I think Kia has a problem with their rear end 2008 Kia Sorento. My car makes a lot of noise when driving, I had the rear end fluid change. Keep in mind that the Power Train Warranty is for 100,000 miles. I just have 43,000 miles on my vehicle. They said because I can not find the proof of having it changed, its my fault and I would have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. I read online that a lot of customers have the same problems with Kia Motors.

I bought a slightly used 2011 Kia in 2011. It was in amazing condition and I spent the next 7 years taking immaculate care of it -- never missing an oil change and keeping up with the regular maintenance. Last week, while driving, out of nowhere my car seizes and then starts making a very loud rapping noise. Engine is kaput. I had it towed to my mechanic (my cousin so he doesnt give me any bull -- he even does a diagnostic in front of me and shows me exactly what is wrong with the car and why). He says one of the pistons broke, causing tons of metal flecks in the oil (which I had recently changed). The piston had also hit one of my spark plugs, chipping off a tiny piece of it. He said the issue is the exact same as all of the thousands of Kias being recalled, and that this is a bad engine and its the manufacturer at fault for it, not me. Especially since I had taken such good care of it -- no sludge in the oil, no nothing.Call Kia customer care & open a case -- they say I have to have a Kia dealership diagnose it for them to help me. So I tow it to a dealership and they charge me $120+ just for the diagnostic. I try to give them the diagnostic from my mechanic and tell them about the broken engine and the spark plug and the piston, and they wont listen to me. I go home and wait thru the weekend. They call me Monday morning to say my car doesnt have a broken engine, but that the tiny piece of spark plug is causing the issue and they need another $350 to try to remove it and it may cost up to $1100. I tell them to wait and call my cousin to ask if that sounds right. He said, no, thats outrageous, and he calls them and makes them put the mechanic on the phone. Mechanic is a complete ** -- didnt even run a diagnostic, just looked at the spark and figured that was the problem. Cousin asked if he ran a compression test-- of course he didnt! Then the mechanic tried to say it would take 3 hours for a diagnostic then, and cousin said, how long does a compression test take? Guy says, I dont know, Id have to look it up to which my cousin replied, Its certainly less than 2 hours. You can send me an itemized list of what youre doing.I ended up making my cousin the one the dealership had to go thru. And, GEE WIZ! Turns out when they actually DID THE COMPRESSION TEST, the problem with the car is exactly what my cousin said was wrong! And do you think Kia stands by its 100,000 mile/10 Year Warranty??! Of course not! Because Im the 2nd owner. And does it say on the ads or the website that it doesnt apply to 2nd owners? Not unless you find your manual and look it up -- Intentionally deceptive and misleading. And REGARDLESS, this is THEIR FAULTY ENGINE. Customer care wont do a fricking thing and expects me to pay thousands of dollars for a new engine, even though they KNOW its their responsibility and theyve already had to recall all their other engines (but for some reason not the Rio...) My cousin even called Customer Care and said my engine is affected by the recall, theyre just trying to save face. I have years and years worth of oil change and maintenance receipts as proof that the fault is theirs, and they wont do a freaking thing to correct their mistakes.I have never been so disgusted. The incompetence of the dealership, the arrogance of Customer Care, the mistreatment of their customers, the lemons they wont take responsibility for... I WILL NEVER BUY A KIA AGAIN. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the inevitable headache and HUGE repair bills-- STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM KIA CARS AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN.I now have to junk my car after I had JUST replaced the breaks and done a bunch of other maintenance to it. I hope the company goes bankrupt and burns to the ground. They are the most corrupt lousy liars I have ever come across. Just do a quick freaking search online and you will find hundreds and hundreds of stories just like mine. It is unbelievable that an 8 yr old car with 98,000 miles on it would die with no warning and Kia just shrugs its shoulders. This is unacceptable. If anyone files a class action lawsuit please let me know -- they need to be taken down.

At 12,300km my 2014 model Kia soul encounter a problem with the gearbox. I booked in the vehicle at the Kia Tokai Multi Franchise 021 7132413 on the 13th of August. It has now been 3 months and is still waiting for my vehicle due to parts or whatever story they telling me. I feel that I have as a customer been treated very Unprofessional and that a vehicle with such low mileage should have been replaced. I spoke to Kia South Africa customer care but was of absolute no help. Please, if theres anyone of a authority reading this message, please help.

I have only had my car for about 4 year and a couple months. I keep up with maintenance and everything. Recently, my car has been shaking, stalling and the wheel drifts to the right. It has got to the point where I do not even wanna drive this car. I brought my car to Kia and they quoted me $150 for something that needs to be replaced and told me that my tires are causing the wheel to act like it does. I still have a warranty for the car and they did not fix or replace anything. There are more problems to this car that I am not aware of. I was looking to keep this car for another two years, but looks like now I am going to have to trade it in. I a bit disappointed with Kia, I did not think I would run into so many problems so soon in the game.

I really like this car but would not buy another one because all their deal
I really like this car but would not buy another one because all their dealers in Stafford, Stoke and Crewe and Kia UK themselves are absolutely hopeless and their 7 year warranty is a big joke and worthless. I have got white corrosion on 3 of my alloy wheels. They refused my claim but said that they would replace 1 of them as a gesture of goodwill as long as I do not write to websites like this one. I have refused. What is the use of replacing just 1 wheel. Who is going to pay for the other 2 wheels? Not me.

I purchased my 2013 in February 2013. As of today, my car has died/stalled out on me when I am driving it!!! I am beyond frustrated. Ive taken it to the dealer 2 times now and all they can tell me is that they cant replicate the problem and there are no computer updates/recalls. This is a HUGE safety concern, especially when I am driving and have my children in the car. The car dies when I am going 10-15 miles an hour. I dont know what else I can do.

Bought my Kia Sorento in 2012. It is a 2011 only had 29,000 miles when purchased. After having the vehicle for 1 week I noticed the car was very shaky on the highway. I took it back to the dealer (not Kia dealer) it was purchased from and they said a tire is bald and they would not replace. One month later I was driving home and my windshield cracked all the way up the entire window. Took it to be replaced thinking maybe a rock hit it and they brought me into the bay to show me that the windshield had been cracked from the inside because a heating element blew. Kia would not do anything to help. I have had to replace numerous parts and have many things fixed that shouldve not had to be fixed so early on in a vehicle (ex) oil pan cracked, starter stopped working, struts and wheel bearings needed replacement very early on. Since the car was purchased Ive replaced my tires 4 times, had 4 alignments and the car still shakes... Recently the radio stopped working all the time and chooses when it wants to turn on. I wrote a review on twitter and Kia consumer reached out saying they would like to help. They called me got all info VIN, mileage etc. Told me to bring to a Kia dealership to have it looked at. I brought my car at the designated time they gave me. They ended up giving me a rental for the weekend so they can look at it only for monday to come and Kia consumer care calls me to tell me there is nothing they can do because of the mileage. Are you kidding me? They knew the mileage before having me waste my time to go have it looked at. Now they are also telling me the ball joints need to be replaced which is why it shakes. Thats funny. Ive had this car 4 years and youre telling me not one mechanic has figured that out... Kia consumer care DOES NOT CARE. Kia is the absolute worst company ever. I would never recommend buying a Kia unless youre looking to dump all of your money into fixing the car constantly.

I bought a 2012 Kia Soul. I bought a new car because I live up north where the winters are cold. So I wanted a new car with a good heater. I dont have that in the Kia Soul. The temp gauge in the car drops and I get cool to lukewarm air. I have taken it to my dealership and they had it almost 2 weeks and nothing. They keep telling me it is normal. I have had several cars and none of them had them temp gauge drop and get warm air or cool. I was told that Kia put in a larger radiator than is needed for this size car and they wont do anything about it. If this is as hot as the Kia Soul gets, then Kia should not be selling it up north where the winters are long and cold. As anyone else had this issue.

My Picanto 2011 horn or Klaxon, was working properly, but when I came down the mountains to arrive at sea level, it stopped for a while and it worked again by itself. I took my car to the Kia maintenance room at Beirut, Lebanon, but they wouldnt know the reason. They just answered, “we dont know, its working now.” Take note, I bought the car from Kia Lebanon with 0km.The interiors are crunching, especially the front glass. Is it normal? Take note that Lebanon does not have high temperature, we are not Sahara that the car should melt. The wheel stands are easily damaged and I repair them by kicking them, are they plastic?

I am still waiting for the Kia branch in Johannesburg, Meadowdale to let me know whether reverse light switch of my Kia Picanto will be replaced as its torn and beyond economical repair. Rochelle, the service advisor, promised me she will keep me updated within the next 3-4 days. My car went in last week, Thursday, for handbrake and starter repair. I phoned today after a whole week waiting to hear from Kia Meadowdale. And apparently, Rochelle is still waiting to hear about the warranty on the switch. Why is something so small taking so long to get feedback on?

2014 KIA CADENZA. I have been a Kia owner for the past 10 yrs. I previously owned the AMANTI that I loved very very much, until the very end when I decided to trade in for a new Cadenza. But I seem to have a internal noise problem with the cadenza. I noticed the clicking noise about 200 mile. I took it to the dealer, however they said could not find a problem. I returned again after 300 miles, still with the problem. The sales manager advised me to wait until after 500 miles to open a case with Kia. I returned the auto after 900 miles, they looked into it. On Nov 13th 2014 they wrote the following on the work order PIT STOP P5282 SIDE CENTER OF SUNROOF, NOISE COMING FROM LOOSE SCREWS HOLDING SUNROOF CURTAIN IN PLACE: 85310R00 3.2 HEADLINER BAR, 81651 - 3R500... FAILED PART, RE-SECURED AND PREFORMED PIT STOP FOR RATTLE. Well after month later the problem return, I wrote an email complaining to dealer that noise appears to have return. On 01/06/15 I took the car back to the dealership for the same noise. The dealership found no problem and wrote the following: TEST DROVE CAR WITH TECHNICIAN FOR 7 MILES OVER VARIOUS ROAD SURFACES AND OVER BUMPS COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM, NO PROBLEM FOUND. Problem still exist. The dealership indicated that they drove the car for over 7 miles and found no problem, however I had noted the mileage on the car and found that the car had only been driven under a mile. I filed a complaint sales manager at the dealership, which the service manager admitted that they did not drive the car only around the block. I preceded to file a compliant with Kia customer service and meet with the District Manger. It took about 2 weeks to confirm the meeting at the dealership. I finally met with DM who drove with me and agree there was a problem. It took over 2 more weeks to schedule a repair date. On 3/25/15, Once again I returned the car to the dealership and they found a problem. Stating the following: C/S noise coming from roof of vehicle near the roof. Please check and advise. Effective part # 81630R500. Found edge of sunroof plate bolts were over torqued causing rail to sit improperly in track adjusted to Kia specs and road tested with technician and Kia DSPN, adjusted sunroof plates, no noise present at this time.Once again the noise has come back and even worst, metal bouncing inside of sunroof. I stop by the dealership on 4/14 and talked to the service manger, which rode with me and agreed there was a noise. He preceded to advise me that he would contact the DM of Kia and call me when arrangement made. On 4/16/15 the service manager called stating still waiting on DM call back. On April 22, he contacted me stating which day early next week was good. On April 24th contact SM and advised him that on April 28th at 10 am would be fine to meet with the SM and DM. To my surprise, the DM was not present. I advised the SM to contact me when the DM would show up so that I was involved in the loop. However, that did not occur. On 4/29 the service manger advised me by phone that no problem was found. I have requested once again to meet with the DM and take the service manager and District Kia manager on a ride, so they understand the noise factor. I have requested to meet the DM through the Kia customer service and Service manger at the dealer, once again review the problem and take test drive with me present. Still waiting for a response as of 5/1/15. I am extremely unhappy with the noise of this cadenza, most passenger hear the noise. Now the dealer is sending messages that I need to return the loaner car, because KIA is not going to pay for the use of the loaner. So now they are threatening me with billing my credit car for a dealer loaner. I have not heard from KIa regarding this matter as of yet. Frankly I am beginning to dislike the fact that I purchased this cadenza, though I was extremely happy with my KIA AMANTI. CASE # **. One of the solutions has been to have the sunroof completely changed according to other kia cadenza owners who have experienced the same situation.

My passenger side air bag light went on and I was told that I would need a new bottom part of a seat which would cost me $1.542.00. I feel that this is a safety issue that KIA motors should cover. I bought this brand new 2008 KIA Spectra. I call KIA Motors about this and the man that I talked to was not a helpful person at all and said it would take two days to see if they could help. Well, they called me within a few hours and stated they would not help me out. 3 yrs old and the car has this kind of issue.

I like the Kia Sorento because it is very good on gas and is easy to drive. It has a lot of space in to sit four people comfortably. It is a great car to go on vacation in too. I would make it have a large backup camera installed in it. And also the gas tank door would work all the time. Also a have handle on the front near the windshield for older people to be able to use it to get in and out with. The car has a noise in the motor but the dealership says they cannot find anything wrong. My mechanic says there is something wrong with the timing chain. All in all it is a good riding car.

Bought brand new 2017 Sportage in April 2017. Sept 25 my wife parked it at 6:45 am at work. At 2 pm the car decided to burst into flames totaling the vehicle. Video shows no one messed with it. Has to be an electrical malfunction that started fire. Anyone else have any issues with this type of vehicle?

Ok, Ive been having issues with my low beam headlights. I cant even tell when they are on and having highbeams is the only why I can drive safely, until other drivers blind me with theirs because they are upset about it. Originally I thought maybe they just need cleaned... till I did research this is a major issue with many people and Kia needs to take responsibility. The chrome is getting burnt by the lights and it no longer is reflective enough to work effectively. I dont know how they have not recalled with all the complaints I have viewed online. This is a safety hazard and needs to be addressed. Other than that I think it is a fantastic car.

Bought a used Kia Sorento 2014 from the dealership back on January 2016. Sometime in December 2016 started having problems with the doors not locking. Did not have chance to bring it to the dealer to check until February. Apparently, something is wrong with one of the Fuse and they need to replace the entire Junction box. I thought this would be a manufacturing problem and it will be covered by Kia. Unfortunately, it is not and the cost would be $875.00. Warranty is over 1 year so it will not be covered. On top of that, the dealer charged me an additional $120 because I also mentioned to check the rear view camera because it stopped working.A word of advice, Kia will charge you an extra diagnostic fee for every problem you want them to check. Tell me if this is not a rip off. Unable to do the repairs because the cost is too high so my doors do not lock and my rear camera is not working. I would never purchase another Kia and would not recommend it to anyone.

I bought a brand new Kia Soul. I was driving on the turnpike when I hear a noise coming from the right front of the car. I thought the right braked locked up but did not feel it driving. Turns out the inside part of the wheel well came loose and with the wind touched the front right tire causing the noise and bending it where it could not be bent back. I made an appointment to take the car into Rick Case Kia service. They asked me to later come into the shop area my car was up on a lift. They accused me of hitting something to cause this to happen. I said I have 1000 miles on the car. I am the only driver. I did not hit anything. Other than the scratch make of the tire on the part that bent back there is no evidence no sign of anything hitting the area.I stated that its been raining a lot and I have as everyone else driven at highway speeds through standing water. I think maybe the force of the water may have loosened the clamps causing this. They still claim I hit something so as to not cover it. I called Kia Customer Service and its been a few days with no callback. I opened a case. If they do not cover this I no longer want the car. I have been reading all these accounts of horrible customer service. I purchased extra coverage where even oil changes are paid for. This accusation does not sit well with me. If this is how it is with Kia I wish I had known previously they have a maybe fake award for the past two years with a major company. Dont know if its legitimate now. If its not covered I do not want to drive my car. Only had it over 30 days. Hope anyone looking to buy a Kia dont. Rick Case doubles the factory warranty from 10 years to 20 but then they blame the customer for the claim to disqualify the claim. Very underhanded and wrong. I fell for their tv commercials.

My air bag light came on while driving so I took it to the dealer. I was informed the sensor was bad on the track on the passenger side and had to be replaced. None of my airbags works due to this problem. It is going to cost me over $600 to fix this because my extended warranty does not cover it and I am 5,000 miles over 60,000 miles or it would have been covered. Are they serious? My extended warranty they sold me is not even with Kia. Something is seriously wrong and I think Kia should be checked on this air bag issue also.

The week after I bought my Kia, the Kia dealership in my neighborhood changed to a Lexus. You would have thought the sales team would have told me when selling me my car. I thought I was getting a dealer near my place for easy repairs. So when I broke down with a flat tire, I called roadside. Im on a lease so covered. But they said I had to have my car towed to two cities away unless I wanted to pay for it and apply for reimbursement. They said Id just have to wait for my reimbursement. That reimbursement was denied after two months of waiting. According to Kia, I should have had my car towed and repaired over an hour away rather than the block from my house at the Discount Tire center I took it to.Trying to get them to respond is also a system set up to make the customer just give up: youre not allowed to talk directly to the department making the decision. Each call is to another department that has to advocate for you. That department is always backed up with calls. So to get 300 dollars back from an allegedly covered roadside service need, it has taken three months and it was denied because they closed the Kia dealership in my city.

I bought a used 2010 Kia Soul on August 16, 2012; with 60,000-mile warranty. I thought I would be covered for equipment-related vehicle breakdowns. Two days later, on August 18, 2012, which was a Saturday, the car would not start. It was in the afternoon outside a store in the rain. After calling the local Kia dealership, it was expeditiously towed to that dealership. I rented a car and went about my business, hoping that everything would be covered under the excellent warranty. It turned out to be the battery. It was replaced for this dealer, but as a maintenance issue, I had to pay for it. During this process, I was told that the Arizona heat is hard on batteries. This being the case, I believe that Kia policies be changed, and customer not be sent out with an unwarranted battery. To me, it reflects badly on Tempe Kia and Kia as a whole. Another issue is covered in another complaint.

The next morning I called Kia Roadside assistance again and advised the new associate of what happened and they set a tow up and guess what, I was advised of the same scenario and again nobody came after lie upon lie upon lie. I have been a 3 car Kia customer for almost 10 years. I was Kias BIGGEST fan, telling EVERYONE how great a company this is. Ive converted 5 people into purchase of a Kia. Which is why I’d like to tell you why I am no longer a Kia customer and now a Nissan owner. And will tell EVERYONE I know to do the same. In the last 10 months I have had more than a dozen service visits. Starting in August 2020 my engine was losing oil. After first visit, my SA Edwin agreed this is a problem, do the oil consumption test and we’ll be on our way for a repair. Test Done, with a Sorry. We have to do the test again but we replaced the ignition coil. (2nd Coil since I’ve owned car) And again we test. With more Sorry. It didnt burn enough oil, or You have to come in EXACTLY at 1,000 miles. (This is NOT true; math can be converted at any mileage over the 1,000.) Even when I told them it starts burning at the 2,000 mark after oil change.Over and over again, I miss work to sit in the dealership, or WALK home, as the dealership insisted on these appointments but wouldnt give me a loaner (I have full coverage insurance). Finally in March 2021 they decide they will clean the combustion chamber. Need to leave car: they make me RENT a car saying it will be paid for with my warranty. ADDITIONAL days needed as more problems occurred while in for repair. (Oil switch). Keep the rental they told me, it’s covered. Return the rental and the dealership won’t PAY THE RENTAL.I have now missed over 30 hours of work, repeated oil change costs for the process, Rental Fees, Inspection fees that were never reimbursed. All in avoidance of a repair that was clearly needed to my engine. Go back into a new dealership Kia Schaumburg on 6/1/21 for scheduled oil change, and the Tech tells me there is NO OIL ON THE DIPSTICK. AGAIN. 10 months later and I still have the same problem. I hope the $100,000 lifetime of customer income I was generating (I buy a car every 3 years) was worth losing over this. I understand mechanical failure. I was an AUTO SERVICE ADVISOR for 10 years. Its how you handle it. And Kia Failed. (Case # ** for FEELING UNSAFE IN MY KIA, NO ONE CALLED ME BACK.)

I owned a 2016 Sorento. On May 12, 2019 it inexplicably caught fire. It was towed to the dealership where it was purchased and the service department immediately took responsibility after inspection and since it was still under warranty they were about to begin repairs. Later that day, I was called by the Kia corporation in California (I live in Texas) and asked to give my oil change records. I normally dont keep my records and only had a few, but 2 of the last 3 had been at the dealership and the dealership had just done my Texas inspection 3 weeks prior to this. About 4 days later, Kia called and said that they would not cover the cost of repairs because I didnt have enough recorded oil changes. Our insurance couldnt pay because it was also determined by them to be a mechanical defect that was Kias fault. It was not anywhere in my warranty handbook (or any of their handbooks) that I was supposed to keep my records. I asked the lady (Ashley) about that and she said that it was implied. My father in law is a mechanic and sometimes changes our oil and his too. I wasnt sure why that oil changes would even matter if a vehicle caught fire. I am 51 years old and I have paid off and traded in multiple vehicles including 3 Kias. I owed over $9,000 on this Kia which I had to roll into my next car because the repairs were going to be $11,000. (New engine-minimal body damage).I have been blessed that this did not cripple us financially; but if we were younger and still struggling, it could have destroyed us. One of the reasons that I had purchased the Kias was because of the 10 year warranty. I feel that Kia was looking for any way to get out of their responsibility to pay. Kias own service department had already taken responsibility. It is most disheartening that some segments of society have turned to this. Needless to say I will never purchase another Kia again and if you do, be cautious on the warranty. They are not a trustworthy company at the corporate level. Since our incident, I read in consumer reports of over 290,000 other Kias spontaneously catching fire. I will continue my disagreement by bringing a lawyer into it.

After about a year, started having a problem with my back seat latch not letting loose. Was told that they couldnt fix it because they didnt have their main mechanic there. Told me to let me know if any more problems. Kept having the issue, so was told they would fix it when I brought it in for my oil change. Got at my appt 20 min early and there service advisors didnt help us for over 20 min. Had a few more minor issues to look at too. Was told wait time would be 2 hrs. Sat for over 3 1/2 hrs and my vehicle wasnt fixed because they now had to order parts. Tried to tell me on part was covered under warranty. Had less than 13,00 miles and had purchased extended warranty. Caused a scene in the waiting room where other customers were, so he said they would cover it. Called corporate to file a complaint and they were worthless. Gave contacted them 3 x and no results. They contacted dealership because I wanted my survey. Was told by corporate that they didnt have my email address, but yet it was on my service invoice. Service manager said that he doesnt have anything to do with, but yet corporate says they do. Nothing like covering each others **. WILL NOT EVER BUY ANOTHER KIA. THINKING OF TELL THEM THEY CAN KEEP THEIR PIECE OF ** CAR AND THEIR SERVICE AND TAKE THE LOSS.

Think twice before get a Kia. “Did you have a gun pointed to your head when you signed the lease?” This is what the General Manager a Kia Internationals in Orland told me after some argument about the whole process with this dealer and how dishonest was the process. I agreed with sales people about buying a car advertised by a price. All good until go to finance and they say, I can’t give you that deal unless you do a lease which was never the agreement. I did sign the lease with certain “assumptions” that they said yes so I would buy the car after 3 months lease and later find out that it was not like that at all. Trying to resolve the situation somehow he tells me something like that above and “I am not just gonna sit here hearing you complaining”.Guess no matter how reason you are, a place that treats you like that doesn’t deserve to get your business. As soon they make the deal they don’t give you proper customer service including Kia Usa that I tried to address and they say they can’t do anything because they are not the owners of the dealer. Never had a Kia before and will be last time after this horrible experience.Joao **

They gave me power of attorney to someone elses car!!! Im financing two vehicles. I got married & changed my last name. Dmv wont do a name change because I dont have the vehicle titles. Which is obvious. AAA & DMV both said financing company needs to do it. Kia refuses to do so. They sent me limited power of attorney for both cars for me to take to DMV to do by myself. Aside that DMV cant accept it. It actually turns out they sent me a power of attorney for someone elses car? Wth!!On top of that they tell me I need to wait another 10-14 business days to wait for it to be corrected. Plus I need to call back Monday, because its Friday evening & the department who issues this forms is closed. I have to call a 5th time to request a new & corrected power of attorney with my correct vehicle information. Plus send a written request for them to send the title to DMV. Which takes 10-14 days for the request. Horrible service & customer service. Worst finance company ever! Who sends out a power attorney to a strangers car. Scary that such information would be released like nothing and take no responsibility for such mistake. Violation of privacy and confidential information.

First off, I was a college student and wanting a new car with a warranty so then I wouldnt have to worry about having to pay extra for cars that I recently had that kept breaking down and I had to empty my pockets to keep running. I knew that I couldnt afford to get a loan for a better car and I looked in KIA and heard nothing but decent reviews about them. But from that start I got conned, I spent $14,000 for a new KIA with already 216 miles of test driving done on it and it was a manual with no bells and whistles, not even an air conditioner. But me being conned was my fault. I should have brought someone experienced in buying a new car with me, but fault still falls on them for taking advantage of me and not having ethics on their side of business. My next complaint is that I have automatic lights that I can just keep the switch on and the light automatically turns off. But when the cold weather of the winter time hits me, my light somehow miraculously turns back on and kills my battery. I called in and told them about my issue just 3 months after me purchasing my brand new car and they said that there was nothing to do about it. I wrote in several complaints over and over to the company and still nothing happened. Now, Im stuck with a battery that has gone completely bad from all the times that I have had to push start or get jump starts from. I will never buy another KIA as long as I live.

I am a little perplexed with your judgement call Kia... I own a 2014 Kia Sorento that’s as apart of your engine recall. The car “passed” the tests ran on it to determine if a new engine was needed, only to have the engine completely cease going 50mph on a major highway in Virginia. I received a call today about an open recall on a fuel pump issue potentially causing fire. While I was aware of this situation due to the national news the issue has received I was not prepared for the supposed resolution to this issue... I was told that I needed to bring the vehicle in for inspection to determine “if they” thought the fuel pump needed to be replaced...So, let me get this straight you want me to yet again trust people that told me my engine was completely fine when it wasn’t to now tell me I don’t need a new fuel pump but potentially catch fire??? Something is seriously wrong with this situation! The fact that you are willing to put peoples safety at jeopardy is disheartening... I have zero trust that if I am told the fuel pump doesn’t need to be replaced that I am safe. You need a better resolution and you need one fast...

In August of 2012, it will be 2 years that I have owned my 2011 KIA Sorento. I bought the vehicle brand new. 3 weeks ago (at 30K miles), my 4 tires had steel threads poking out and the tires were very thin. The Sorento was also pulling to the right, very bad. I contacted the dealership, telling them that their manufacturers tires were bad and demanded they replace them and fix my alignment. Kia told me that it could have done 12 months prior, but that I am out of luck now and have to pay over $200 to get it fixed right. So, I went to another big time vehicle mechanic. They did my alignment and they also mentioned that the camber bolts needed to be replaced/fixed, but that would have to be something KIA needs to do. This place did do my alignment, after I forked over a thousand dollars for 4 brand new tires at Discount Tire Co. So, Kia Corporate Service told me to bring the vehicle in for a checkup after I told them what the other mechanic told me. After Kia was done, they hit me with a charge for another alignment! I explained to the guy that we had told him from the beginning that we had an alignment done and that we did not authorize this. Then, Kia told me that the camber bolts were installed backwards and the mechanic had to fix that too. I told the guy, How could that be? The other mechanic never even touched the bolts. After I was forced to pay in order to be able to drive it off, the Sorento went back to pulling off to the right again. So, back I went to the dealership today. I took this Kia service guy for a test drive in my Sorento. This guy said that driving down our bad city roads just makes it seems like our vehicle is pulling off to the right. That there are a lot of bumps in our city roads. The service guy said they will take another look at our Sorento, even though as he said, There is nothing wrong with it. Kia also refuses to give me my money back for the other alignment that was done, which the vehicle did not need. While there, I met another customer who had just gone through the same, exact thing we are now going through. She has hired an attorney and gave me the name of her attorney.

My current wife and I purchased a 2011 Kia Optima. We only purchased the car in my wifes name because we were just dating at the time. We would become engaged about 7 months later. We get married, we moved to Texas, I go to the DMV to get the tags changed over. We take great care of our cars. We reach 98K miles. We finally have a true problem with our car. The engine is gone. We need to replace the engine. Kia tells me that we dont have a valid warranty on the car because weve sold the car. I explain to them that we havent sold the car we just moved to a different state. And I registered the car under my name but the title still has my wife on it. Granted when the lady told me that we didnt have a warranty on the car, was very upset and cursed a bit over the phone. After a week of fighting over the phone with Kia and the dealership they decide to honor the warranty. The follow up with the Kia and the dealership has to be some of the worst customer service Ive ever seen in my life. No one called to let me know they received documents from when I sent them. No one called to give me status of on the car. I will NEVER buy another Kia in my life. This is the worst company to ever buy a car from. We bought our Kia used, (we werent told it was used at the time we bought it, we noticed it was used after we had bought it and got in it - as we didnt test drive this particular one). In any event, the warranty covered the electrical parts up to 12,000. At about 11,000 miles, I was driving down the highway and was told that break lights werent working. We had head light issues and just thought it was a the bulbs, but both break lights went out, then pulled into the parking deck and notice no running light and no head lights except for brakes. We had to get towed back to the dealership and they replaced all the bulbs saying they were burned out. By the time the lights went out again, it was out of warranty. Every month or so, a bulb will go out - a head light, a break light. Then we noticed when you hit the back of the break light, the lights will flicker on and off, so the bulbs werent actually burned out. Then we began to notice the electrical seats were burned out. And then the lights where the manual transmission gear stick was burned out. Then the license plate lights. And now, for the first time a new electrical issue surfaced in the electric side mirrors, they will no longer work. We noticed many burn marks within the electrical components. We are certain KIA was aware of the electrical issue when we brought the car in under its warranty period, but they refused to address and simply replaced the bulbs and said sometimes things like this happen. We have been stopped by police for headlights being out, brake lights not working and license plate light out. While I love my KIA Sorento and mechanically it has been a reliable vehicle, the electrical issues have been dismal, costly, and unsafe.

Bought our first brand new 2011 Kia Sorrento because we wanted a warranty to cover any problems. In October, we noticed the paint was starting to bubble and chip off all over the top of the car and the hood. We took it to the service dept. At the dealership where we purchased it (dont ever do business with Keffer Kia in Mooresville, NC) and they told us it wont be covered under our bumper to bumper five-year warranty because we must have either driven through something or parked it under a tree. Are you friggin kidding me?We now have a lawyer. Im saddened by the fact that there is no honor or loyalty anymore when you purchase something today. I am also offended that they have the nerve to actually accuse a customer of something so ridiculous just to get out of fixing something that is clearly a defect. Anyway, just in case someone else is having the same problem, no, you are not going crazy and should complain about as well because I believe in the power of the pen and the power of all people united. If enough people come forward with these problems, the companies will have no choice but to start taking responsibilities for their merchandise.

I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento from Drivetime in October 2018. In less than a year my cars engine seized up in August 2019, due to a recall dating back to 2014. My car was towed to kia and stayed there for a month, in that time I was not offered a rental car but had to pay out of pocket for one, A bill that exceeded $1,000 not to mention I had to continue to pay the car note on a car I didnt have. The claim took two months to process and yet here we are in January 2020 and I still dont have the money in which I provider full documentation for. The customer service line is the worst, they seem to have little to NO KNOWLEDGE on whats going on. Its ridiculous. I wouldnt recommend this company to ANYBODY!!!

I rate Petes Car Smart and KIA a negative star. If zero star means bad, then negative stars for both of them. But if you are asking 5 stars or more is bad, then lets say 6 stars. I dont get answers from the service manager besides their nothing wrong with your car. Yes, we can see it used oil but there is nothing wrong with it. The only time they talked to me was when I was there because once I left, they never returned my call or even tried to explain anything to me. So I would say KIA and Petes are a joke or KIA should get sue for false ads which they say they have the best warranty. I could say the same if I never had to warrant anything. My 2007 KIA Sportage that I got brand new had around 46000 miles when I started to notice it using oil. Its using half a quart every 3000 miles under normal driving conditions. I shouldnt have to change it until 7000 miles. So if it using half a quart every 3000 miles, one could say it will use 1 quart every 7000 miles. Petes and/or Kia did an oil test to see if it uses oil, but they will or have not want to do it at 7000 miles. Last time I went in there to get it checked at the 3000, they topped it off and said they would call me. But I have not gotten a call from them. I told them I wish they had not top it off because I wanted to bring it back at 7000 miles and see how much oil it had use. HQ is a joke also, I have played phone tag with a lady in Atlanta and her reason for not calling me is because of my cell number (which is a KY number) and they thought I was in her time zone. I left message for her to call me at 8, her time, which would be 7AM my time so I could talk with her. For weeks, no reply. They would call during my work day. After weeks of leaving messages and trying to get that same person, I got a direct number for her. But after talking to her, she too is telling me theres nothing wrong with my SUV. Its normal for a car to use oil (yes, if it had lots of miles and never got regular oil changes). She did tell me that KIA would be more than happy to service my SUV, but I would have to pay for it. If they did find something, they would be more than happy to cover it under the warranty. Like they are going to tell me the truth. I have told my boss and all my friends not to buy any KIA vehicles at all. I have told all my friends not to purchase any KIA or cars from Petes Car Smart in Amarillo, TX and now I wish someone had done the same for me. If anyone has had the same problems with their KIA, I would like to know about and what you have done. I dont care what car you had as long as it is a KIA.

With my new purchased 2016 Kia Sorento, the body lines do not match up where the drivers door meets!! The bottom half of the rear edge of the left front door sticks out and I couldnt get it fixed at your Lockwood Kia service. On 3 attempts even Kia Canada is involved... This is a big deal to me on a brand new $30k car.At the end despite their bumper to bumper warranty I am told that couple of inches is acceptable and there is nothing to do to correct it. How you can trust such a company if they are telling you it is acceptable to have problems on a brand new car. Is there anything acceptable on the brakes or engine? Stay away from Kia. They are a big scam.

I own a Kia and had a vehicle financed through Kia Motors Finance. I had always had various problems with their website or making payments. When I went to work for their finance company I realized why. They are INCOMPETENT!!! Payments are often credited to the wrong accounts, lost, do not go through due to website issues, agent input errors, or computer malfunctions. Then customers are called and harassed about late payments and have to pay late charges and payment fees.As agents we are told to never let the company look bad or accept blame. I quit in disgust. I was tired of customers being treated so poorly. Accounts would clearly show that customers had made all their payments yet we would be calling them as past due and then managers would tell us there was a glitch in the system and just shrug their shoulders like oops! Yet when customers would say they had made payments that were not reflected we were told there was no way the system could be wrong. Huh?Customers should also know that agents wrote down and walked out with social security numbers, account numbers, dates of birth, ANYTHING. And these are fed up people making minimum wage. This is a high pressure environment where workers are treated poorly. I could just see someone taking this information to spite the company. Honestly, I think this is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen.

OK, so I bought a used 2006 Sorento in 2008 with 30,000 miles. It seemed nice, but I did not have it for a week. Then, the headlight and taillight were out. The dealer fixed it and said it was under warranty, to go to Kia. I went to a Kia dealer, they told me it had a recall and needed new wiring harness for both front and back. They ordered them. When I went back for the scheduled appointment, they had not ordered it and the next time I went back, the dealer had closed! I went to a nearby town. Kia ordered the front and corrected the headlight. But the rear, they claimed they knew nothing about. I had to return because the headlight again burned out and they told me to use Kia bulbs, so I did at $53.00 per replacement? Come on, now theres no way I am replacing them. I went back about the rear and had a small crack in the taillight. They told me that was the problem. However, the problem existed before the crack in the taillight. I was out on that as well and I have to wonder where that crack came from. I had the car serviced a few weeks ago and had 7 taillights replaced as all were out. I bet you, I have put in $100 since I have had this car. The lighter in the car quit working, they replaced that. Of course, it lasted for two weeks. The phone charger does not work either, but did in the beginning. It no longer does. Now time for inspection and the service engine light came on. They said I need two oxygen sensors and a new converter. This car has 75,000 miles on it. What is it made of and do I have a reason to complain? If you buy a used Kia, you only get 65,000 miles on warranty, not the 100,000. I dont even dart on the door of their service department after a $53.00 light bulb that burnt out the same as the one from a local parts house. Very disappointed in this car and I wont go that route again unless something changes, until everything fell apart on it. I would have bought a new one this year.

I own a 2014 Kia Sorento, and I love all the staff at the dealership where I have my car serviced however I will never purchase another Kia again. My car has just over 100K miles so I am out of my warranty. On 4/7/20 my left wheel speed sensor failed costing me $657.35. Then, (16) sixteen days later on 4/23/20 my fuel tank sensor failed, costing me $463.61. Then, on 5/6/20 my right wheel speed sensor failed cost me $513.32. In less than 30 days I spent almost $1700 on repairs. These sensors should not have failed like this. I have owned numerous cars and I have NEVER had any of these issues. Kia has a long history with these same wheel speed sensors failing specifically in the Sorentos and Sedona models. After many recalls on earlier models, now they only fail after the car reaches 100k.Kia advises me today that there is absolutely nothing they can do to help offset the cost of their failing parts. I was advised by the young lad on the phone that parts don’t last forever and cars need to repaired at times and that’s just how it is. Kia is a total disappointment and should be ashamed in how they treat their customers. Kia has been priding itself on how they have helped out during the pandemic, however their faulty parts put their employees, customers and me at risk on 3 separate occasions.

This complaint is specific to Kia Motors Egypt. The vehicle, a 2010 model Cerato, rolled over 4 times and the airbags failed to deploy. The real tire on the passenger side burst, causing the above to occur. Kias website states the following: Ceratos standard safety protection includes dual front and side airbags, plus full length side curtain airbags to enhance the safety of driver and passenger side occupants in the event of a side impact or rollover. A Kia employee, whose name I shall not reveal, stated the following in a response: Kindly be informed that referring to your accident description and the photos you sent, the car rolled over without front impact. The front airbag system doesnt work in rollover accidents as you mentioned. The front airbag system was designed to work in the frontal accidents depending on the front impact circumstances. Kindly refer to the owners manual for non-working cases of front airbag system.

The 2011 Kia Forte ran great for 50K miles. Then, I guess I hit a rock - thats what the dealer told me - that apparently damaged the transmission fluid line underneath the car. They fixed it and told me the transmission was fine. So 1,250 miles later, the tranny locks up in 4th gear. Now, Kia is telling me that I should call my insurance company to take care of this. I told them, “No way. You guys told me it was fine. Now, you want to backtrack and blame the so-called accident.” Now, they’re saying if their metal in the bottom of the filter, then its on me. Now a few weeks ago my battery died on me. I had to purchase a new battery from the dealership. My Bluetooth is not working they told me that the Bluetooth was covered, so they thought it may be the speaker because I could hear the other person but they could not hear me talking to them. They put a new speaker in but the other person still could not hear me. The dealership informed me that I need a new radio because the Bluetooth was a part of the radio and that it is not covered under the warranty. I am pissed. I have 44,000 miles on it.

I returned to home and get back the next day because I had a higher AC voice than normal - after checking they told that this a normal for AC. After two day what I been in travel with my family at 2:00 AM on CAIRO-ALEX desert road the car stopped (this fun no?). The gear box does not work anymore and found an oil diffuse from the front. I have no choices instead of carrying the car and my kids on the truck...and I introduced a complaint today for the customer protection system in Egypt. Kia Stinger GT-2 is competing well with sport type BMW and Audi vehicles for about 2/3 of the price. It is high performance throughout- high horsepower dual turbos, higher torque, five driving modes that alter engine and suspension parameters, 8-speed transmission, AWD with a 60/40 split favoring the rear wheels, deluxe Merlot leather interior, all available safety features, and a Harman Kardon 650 watt 15 speaker stereo to boot. However, road tests reveal 0-60 mph in 4 seconds or less and its speed limited to 188 mph contrary to the manufacturers numbers. Also, its three grand to replace the monitor, etc. and labor rates at dealerships are usually $120/hour or higher. Nevertheless, I love driving it and am learning the features rather quickly as they are quite intuitive and the manuals quite helpful. I opted for the extended bumper to bumper 10 year/100,000 mile warranty because of the heavy reliance on complex computer and electronic technology.

I told him, No Eric said 60months @320 its a deal. We bought the KIA. Well, in financing it ended up 72 months at 328? My husband said not to make a scene so I said well when I come pick up the tags I will talk to the manager Eric and Josslyn. That happens yesterday 10-29-11.The financing guy said you should have told me .I informed him I did more than once he kept telling me that wasnt going to happen. So yesterday, he goes the paper work has been file so what do you want me to do. I informed him I wasnt happy the manager and sales person gives you a price and when you get back to his office whatever the manager say doesnt mean anything I dont feel that is right .This isnt the first vehicle we have gotten. He was wrong charging us one more yr I know we could have said no to the car but my husband said go ahead but if he has done it once how many other times has he done it to other customer. He had no excuse but it cant be done yet the manager gave us a discount because it was a 2011 and the finance guy didnt and wouldnt sale it to us at what the manager and sales person quoted us.

I bought a used 2009 Kia Spectra last year around the end of the year. They convinced me to add on Gap insurance and a shock censored alarm. Ive had to bring the car in several times because the alarm doesnt work. My power steering started making noises about 4 months ago. I took it to the dealership because their Warranty is supposed to cover it. They tell me Your power steering fluid is dirty and the filter needs to be replaced/changed. Its going to cost $220 dollars. I was told all the fluid had already been replaced when I initially bought the car. So they are telling me that not even a year after buying the car that somehow the power steering fluid became dirty and the warranty doesnt cover it. This is total **. I will never buy a Kia ever again. They are liars and every time I try to call their service department, they transfer me repeatedly and hang up. Never again. Haddad Kia Bakersfield, CA sucks and I recommend to never buy a car from this dealership ever!!The warranty is a joke. I refused to pay the $220 dollars and had to pay $120 just to get my car back from them. This is ridiculous! Im out over a thousand dollars already on what Ive paid on the car and when I get my tax return this year, I will be trading this stupid piece of junk in for a Honda.

In 2010, I brought a new Kia Forte koup. I love my car. I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM OUT OF THAT CAR. But I broke my back and could not do the low cars getting in and out of them. So I went to Kia and traded on 11-2-13 for a 2014 Kia Sorento. Well, things went down hill. 1st week, had to go back and they had to do a 4 wheel alignment. Then the door handle fell apart. Went back, had that put on, then it fell apart again. The back doors had a gap in them were you could put half your hand in them. Well, after going back every Saturday for 6 weeks, GM had me come in to change car out. But every 2014 Sorento on the lot had same problems. Then I traded for a 2013 Kia Soul. Up till now, no problem till yesterday. When am going down road and a piece of my car comes off and almost hit 2 other cars. So I have had to send this morning at the dealer again. Just wanted to vent in regards to the poor quality of my Rio. I bought it used from my local KIA dealership in February, 2012, and financed on a three year contract. On June 18, 2013, I was driving it in town and it just died on me with no warning. A policeman happened to be going by, and he helped me guide it to the side of the road and stayed with me to direct traffic until a tow truck could arrive. This was a dangerous situation and I am grateful that the policeman was there. I had my car towed to a mechanic my family has used locally for 30 years. The tow truck driver and policeman guessed that it was either a started problem or an alternator; I was shocked when the mechanic called me to report that my engine was gone and I would need to purchase a new one. Specifically, on the mechanics report, it stated that the car has suffered a catastrophic engine failure...cylinder has dropped a valve and there is damage to another cylinder. There was no possible way I could afford to buy a new engine, but a used one was located, which would have cost me $2700 for parts and installation. Being I still owed payments on the car until February, 2015, I knew I could not pay for the car plus the engine replacement. The mechanic volunteered that he hated to see me invest the money into replacing the engine because the car was just not worth it. He recommended I sell it for scrap, perhaps getting $400-$500. Unfortunately, being I was still owing payments on the car, the option of selling it was not an option. At this time, my KIA Rio had 97,000 miles on it. My next step was to contact my local KIA dealership and explain what had happened. I thought it was incredible that the engine had completely failed ~ I had kept up on oil changes and normal maintenance, even paying KIAs service department to replace a disintegrated gear shift four months after purchasing the car! Not once had I been notified that the engine had issues. The dealership did not address the engine dying problem, but rather tried to talk me into trading in the dead car and buying a new(er) one. This would have meant I would have had to add the remaining balance due on my dead car into the amount of my payments on a new(er) car, something I could not possibly afford. KIA did offer to replace my engine with a used one for $2200, $500 less than my mechanic quoted, but by this time I had spoken with friends in the car repair business who agreed that my Rio was not worth fixing. By searching online, I was shocked to read about the same problem other Rio owners had posted. Is this a KIA manufacturing problem? My family have owned many cars, various makes and models, running into high mileage, and have never had an engine completely fail like this. I cannot help but think this is a poorly made car and I do not understand why a recall was never initiated once it became obvious that many customers were losing engines. It makes me sick when I realize I am still responsible for payments on a car sitting dead in my garage. I honestly feel the engine failed through no fault of mine and I am furious that KIA is allowed to continue ignoring such a major concern of Rio owners.

Multiple Issues on 2004 Sedona - Lets see where to begin. I bought it new for $15k. Well equipped with lots of stuff standard. I suppose this lures most people in along with the 100k warranty. Within the first 1,000 miles, the starter went out. Infamous brake issues started around 12k. We have replaced the rotors on it three times and getting ready to do the 4th set this week. The vehicle currently has 100,600 miles. The AC capacitor went out at 59k, just under the 60k bumper to bumper expiring, so we got that repaired for nothing. The starter went out again around 70k and that cost $300.00. Wheel bearing have been replaced. A compressor went out around 80k and that cost $400.00. The climate control distribution doors dont open, so air barely blows into the compartment. Rear climate control hasnt worked for years. The coolant lines that run back to the rear unit literally rusted through and the mechanic had to plug the lines and route it so rear climate control isnt even possible. The rear brakes didnt seem to be working, so I took it to a mechanic who pulled the drums and said the shoes hardly looked worn and that the entire rear system had probably been hung up/frozen for years. He tried to free them up and thought he did, but I still dont think they are engaging. Thermostat has been replaced 2 or 3 times and I believe the water pump once. Its very heavy and gets terrible gas mileage, 18-20 miles/gal. I will say, knock on wood, that so far, the drive train has been solid. We have taken it on several long distance trips and have been very fortunate to have not had any problems on the road other than wondering if the brakes would fail at any moment, sweating in the backseats and hoping it wouldnt overheat. Other than that, it has been great!

Disappointed customer. I thought I was making a smart choice when I bought my used 2011 Kia Sorrento (Liberty Ford) boy was I wrong. The reason for the purchase I needed a reliable car as I drive 500 miles a week from home to work and with Kia having a 10 year 100k mile warranty and the car only having 70k miles on was to me at the time a no brainer. I had the car a little over a year and the engine went. I did purchase the extended warranty from Liberty but because it was a Kia they could not work on it and sent it to Bedford Kia for inspection. After numerous phone calls and even an in-person visit, they had my car for 52 days before it was fixed and returned to me. They put in a new/used engine that had at the time 65k miles on it so I thought once again I was in good shape, well I was wrong again. This engine lasted 11 months and 22k miles and because I was over the miles, I was told in not so many words - sucks to be you right now, you will have to foot this bill. I also want to note this engine quit on me as I was slowing down for an accident that was on the freeway. I was going about 60mph at the time, tapped the brakes to slow down and the engine quit. I had to limp the car from the high speed lane to the berm with no power, it was a very dangerous situation at the time. I am just trying to understand as a customer that had 2 bad engines where the accountability as a manufacturer is? I do understand warranties but all I was looking for was someone to say we understand and give me some kind of help. I wasn’t looking for Kia to pay the entire bill but 2 engine failures engines that only made it to around 80k that were not my fault some help would have been nice. All toll right now I have around $6.200 invested back in a car I only paid $7,400 for. As a single father of 6 working 2 jobs this was a bill I did not need. With all this being said I would like to thank my mechanic at Done-Rite Auto who treated me as a person first and a customer second by cutting his price on labor and parts and had the car fixed in 3 days as opposed to the 52 it took Kia to fix it.

This is my third lease. I had a Jetta and a Prius. Both companies had excellent customer service. They both put the customer first. Made everything clear. My payment are always on time. Never had a single issue till I decided to lease with Kia. Advice - DO NOT LEASE WITH KIA. First: Pay your lease via the phone. Although they will charge you 7 dollars to make an over the phone payment. Which is ridiculous, this is the only to make sure your payment actually goes through. Their website is horrible, and the turnaround is 7 days. Second: Getting a live customer service person on the phone: It is a challenge to be able to talk to a live person. Once you get a customer service rep they either do not speak English and do not care to help you with any issue you may have. I will never lease again from Kia. I am not a happy customer. Third: Their website is out of date. Do not make any payments on their website.

My wife and I always bought Honda or Toyota vehicles but this time we decided to step out and give Kia a try. We spent time reviewing Kia Souls online and with people we knew owned them. And then we took the plunge and bought two. From the very first week we had problems. My wife could not get hers to start. We took it in three times and the manager over Kia side said You have to apply the break in Kias to start the vehicle. But I showed him in mine that it started just fine without applying the brake. Both Souls did not run right. They ran ragged and slow. It seemed to me that the direct fuel injected motor was not sync with the transmission. Our headlights would come on for no reason. My tire light would kick on but no tires were low and it would go off. The dash lights would dim in and out for no reason. The rain would leak in from poor sealant around windows. My brakes would lock with massive pressure for no reason. Each time we would go to dealer that would claim it was normal or could not duplicate the problem. After one month we were done! We traded them both in on two Toyotas. We had to go to 72 months to cover the loss on both Kias. Listen to me please!!! Listen!!! Look!!! Hear me!!! Kias are still junk! Do not buy one! The warranty is a sham to suck you in and make you into a sucker!!! This company should be forced out of business! They spend money on trying to improve their image but not on true research and quality!!! They make the outside and inside of their vehicles very appealing but the engine and components and electronics are still very bad!!! Please listen!!! Dont do it!!! I know you are reading this right now because you are diligent! Listen to me buyer! Dont buy a Kia!!!

Bought new Kia Soul 2014. Very hard to see out of when I am changing lanes. The wide right rear panel block view. I have had starting problems since October 2015. I never go anywhere without my jumper cables. In November 2015 I had to leave the car at dealership for 3 days so they could try to figure out the problem. They decided I needed a new battery. I am still having starting problems. I brought the car in last month they said there is no problem. Yesterday had to have it jumped 3 times. Im disgusted.

I purchased at 2012 Kia Rio with 96k Miles on it. I had a certified Mechanic Run the Codes on it. Nothing was coming up however this car still has engine issues. I search the internet and no one can explain why it sounds like a hammer and anvil going down the road. One foreign guy pointed out aluminum shavings in the oil pan and explained he measured the pistons to be too short and causing undue wear and tear. I even have a check engine light that goes on and off before I can check the reason why. As it turns out even back within 5 years from 2012 new buyers could not get this issue resolved with Kia Offical dealers. Im stuck with this car. Will the engine blow? Will it damage other components? It is impossible to know. The car is old enough people are owed a solution.

So I bought a car back in 2014. I was happy, after years of looking for wheels, I got some! It was a 2012 Kia Rio for 12000. I didnt want a car but the salesmen said that I could get a car and in 6 months come back and get a truck I wanted at a lower payment. So in 6 months I came to find out it doesnt work like that. So Im stuck paying 371 for a car I didnt want. Well 2 years down the road, I hit hard times. I lost my house and it was just mayhem. I tried talking to them and they said they would give me an extension after paying 2 months for a 2 month extension. So I borrowed the money and called back when they told me to. All I got was a robot who would hang up if I ever asked for a person. This would go on for a couple of months of doing the same thing. Then they gave me a consultant who wanted to help. Heres another two months I again borrowed for the last time I could. He said call back in a week. Call him he said.I did with the number he gave me when he told me to call. When I talked to him he acted like he didnt know me and directed me to someone else. There was nothing to do. 5 months in and they told me that I either needed to give them 2 months for an extension or they will take it. I said I cant pay. They said its registered as a stolen vehicle. I told them where to get it they said my address doesnt exist. I told them I brought it to my job. They said they were going to get it with the police. Still sitting there for 2 weeks now. Do not trust Kia. They will take your money and never help you. Be very warned.

I purchased a brand new 2019 KIA Sportage two days ago. Its the first time I drove it today. It popped up a warning message (with yellow light) after one mile of driving, saying Low Tire Pressure. I called the road service to check it up. Based on the User Manual, the tire pressure should be around 35 in cold weather. But for my car, three tires were around 30 and one was 27. I am just wondering: Do they really check up everything and make sure it meets all the criteria before they deliver it to the customers??? Well, this is just the first day. The service guy inflated the tires. I will keep an eye on it in the following days to see whether its the problem that they didnt inflate it enough before delivering or the tires are really bad and they deflate gradually. Anyway, my first day of driving a brand new car, was ruined.

BUYER BEWARE!! This is intended to strongly express a ZERO rating of Corporate Kia, as they refuse to stand by their products and are hurting their dealerships in the process. We have recently become part of a VERY large group of Kia vehicle owners with known defective engines and Corporate Kia refuses to rectify the issue of their poor quality!! We own a Forte with ~79K miles on it that is well kept. When the engine just recently began a loud knocking sound and a timely engine recall notification came to us, we brought it to Kia. After charging us $135 for a diagnostics fee and having our vehicle for literally two weeks (stating that Corporate Kia had been hacked and their systems were in disarray), only to ultimately tell us the engine recall issue DID NOT apply and it would cost us $8,250 for them to put in a USED engine!! Yes, $8,250!! They also stated that our vehicle had been serviced by Kia all along, but that the engine was junk?!? There are many Kia models already in lawsuit settlements for this defective engine issue that surfaces later on, but it is not on the Forte yet. Do a simple Google search and you will discover this. If youre thinking of purchasing, please do your research first, as there are many other car manufacturers out there who do not have this devastating design defect that leaves the owners with big $$$ expenses and no recourse. How Corporate Kia can ignore their consumers and poor quality like this is highly unethical and is why I am posting this!

I just paid off my Kia Rio 2005 in April. About two months ago, the engine exploded so I had it rebuilt. Then the water pump malfunctioned so I had that repaired. After that, it needed a new thermostat, then a piece of the radiator popped off. And most recently, the water pump needed replacement again. It is also making horrific noises sometimes when I use the brakes. So far, I have put about $3000 into repairing this vehicle. I depend on it to get to work. The transportation service in Jacksonville is terrible and I need a car. Also about two years ago, the a/c stopped working and about a year ago the switch for the headlights stopped working properly causing my brights to come on at times. And a couple of months ago, the door to the drivers side will not open unless I roll down the window put the key in the door and open it. I work full time but due to the economy our hours are cut. I am going into debt trying to repair this vehicle.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Got this car for my daughte
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Got this car for my daughter who’s paid this note since 2015- car almost paid off only owes $2900. Contacted them in December 2020 for a two month extension being my daughter lost her job due to COVID. January told by Kia rep that everything was good to go- no payment due till February. Today she’s notified her payment is over 30 days past due. When my daughter called Kia the reps said there was a glitch and refused to put a supervisor on. So I called and I was told the extension didn’t go through because the system tapped out (whatever that means)! Meanwhile not one person corrected this so called tapped out error on their part or contacted either one of us to let us know anything new needs done! This doesn’t make any sense what’s so ever! So then they said the $675 that’s now past due needs paid so my daughter paid it- I requested a supervisor or manager and then was told they don’t have one In the building! Again- WHAT! I have never heard of such insanity!I tried to see how to file a corporate complaint but of course that’s no use because when I tried to ask I’m told to log onto KIA- I log onto KIA and now the account is locked! So now all though my account going past 30 days isn’t anyone’s fault but Kia’s they will probably have the audacity to send this to my credit bureaus against me when it’s clearly their own error! Just awful! I will NEVER get another Kia vehicle again in my life and neither will my daughter- damn sure won’t ever Finance anything through them again! None of them know what they are doing and I suppose it’s because as stated by the rep no supervisor or manager is ever present in the building!

I had a (brand new) Kia Soul (2016). It shoot back out of the driveway without me. It nearly kills me if I had not jumped back in it, it would of. Anyway QBE would not send it back to Kia. They fixed it. Long story but it was written off in the end but I found out that that car that was never fixed. Was sold at an Auction for 10,000 as when it shot back out of driveway it had only done 11,000 Km so it looks good but the car is a killer. It will do the same to someone else. I told Kia but they did nothing. It will kill someone. This car was in park with the handbrake on!! Think car makers are as bad as car dealers. Just crap!! Kia knows this car yet has done nothing to help!

I have a 2015 Kia K 900. It was 8 months since I purchased from Kia Escondido, I had about 5k miles on it when I was hit on the driver side at the rear quarter panel/back passenger door. I was pushed into a center divide and my entire front Qtr Panel and front end was demolished. NOT 1 AIRBAG DEPLOYED!! I called Kia and their engineers went out to study/test/read the circuit board to get all logistics at time of impact. They went to investigate the car more than once (car was at the auto body shop) and Kia would not release the car to been inspected by my Mercury Insurance to assess damage. The car sat at Tag Collision center for 51 days before they let Mercury assess the damage. The car was totaled out by Mercury and the engineers from Kia said that the airbags did not deploy because there were not enough factors involved for them to deploy. I personally was more concerned that considering where and how I was hit that if I had passengers in the back seat that there would have been skulls hitting the door window (place of impact). I figured that Kia would want to know in case they needed to do a recall on the K 900s to protect lives in future accidents. Kia did not allow me to see the report or tell me exactly what factors were involved to as why the airbags did not deploy. But the whole thing raised a red flag when they kept telling Mercury that the car was not ready to be inspected??? Im just a puzzled and concerned consumer who received no answers but instead a big storage bill from Tag Collision, no thanks to Kias control of when Mercury Insurance could do their job in a timely manner. Kia offered to sell me another K 900 but I just cant considering I would not feel safe or maybe be as lucky to escape injury if I were to get into another accident where if the airbags did not deploy and was extremely hurt instead of protected. This is for Kia to take notice and for there to be a record that Kia not only knew of this airbag situation but that there was an investigation done and a report on file (just in case there are future issues with consumers regarding this topic).

Kia Optima Hybrid Started on Its Own due to faulty push start. - Kia has an uncanny way of stating the same corporate line that the vehicle operates as designed when you tell them there is something wrong with the car. All one has to do is You Tube a woman who had a child in her Kia truck that took control of her and raced the car on a highway at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. This happened for over 30 miles and they settled with her only because it was on the police cam.In my case, my Kia literally started on its own and rolled down a hill into the woods. When I called Kia to tell them what had happened, they said the same line to me as they did to that woman with the truck. When I told Kia that the same situation was shown on You Tube where a lady had a Hybrid that she recorded to start on its own. Yet Kia is holding firm that the car does not want do that. The bottom line is Kia is a terrible car company. Of all of these complaints on here, we need real satisfaction. I think we should post everyday that Kia should not be the car company you want to deal with. I would like to hear from many of you. Perhaps in numbers, they will listen to us. Lets join up and be the David against Goliath. We will prevail. Please respond and lets get going. Thank you.

The Car is Kia cerato 2011 with identification number of KNAFW411BB5369214. The purchase date was15-7-2011 and the number of kilometers is 9000. The car has been received on 15-7-2011 from the main branch (Abu rRwash, Cairo /Alex. Desert road) and after one month from using the car, it was noted when two persons ride on the back seat that a crack sound in the suspension system is heard. I went to Kias agent Elgendy 3S Elmahalla Elkobra branch to solve this problem and accordingly, after the maintenance, the sound disappeared. After five days only from the maintenance, the sound comes back again. As of now, I went six times to Kias agents and every time sound disappears and comes back after 4-5 days from maintenance. I have sent more than one complaint to the Egyptian International Trading & Agencies Co. and until now the problem is not yet solved. Upon this, I have advised all of my friends and relatives not to buy any Kia cars as bad after sales services increase customer dissatisfaction and negatively affect Kias sales and reputation. Finally, I need my problem to be solved; otherwise my car needs to be replaced. Thanks and kind regards.

We bought a new 2016 Sorento on Thursday August 26th of this year. We then went on vacation on Sunday August 30th to Pigeon Forge TN. On Monday the 31st a pin of some kind fell out of the brake pedal. We had to have it towed 33 miles to Louisville. My wife had to ride in the wrecker to get the loaner. They did not have the part to fix it so they put a temporary part in. We then had to wait in the motel for them to deliver our car back. After getting home we took the car to our dealer and they did not have the part. We now have to wait for the part and once it is in carry our car back for repair. Thats 60 miles round trip. Two days of our vacation was wasted on this and now we have to drive a total of 120 miles to have it repaired much less our time.

My lease expired a few weeks ago. I owed money for the mileage. I tried to pay it online and it told me it would not allow me to pay my mileage through my online account. Which seems very odd to me but I called the number was on hold a longtime continually listening to the same message telling me to go online which was very annoying. I get a lady on the phone whos reading me verbatim all these things acting like Im a year overdue when in fact Im not late at all on this payment. Shes telling me shes trying to collect a debt. Im trying to nicely to interrupt her and tell her I know thats why Im calling to pay my bill. She proceeded to tell me how rude I was being and that Im not letting her finish. There was nothing to finish, I was not past due so she needed to stop treating me like I have poor credit. I tried to pay the mileage with my credit card which they said they cannot accept a credit card payment. Which to me money is money it should not matter. They are not willing to work with you. They are not willing to be friendly. I have never been a day late on a 3.5 year lease. I would stay away from Kia Finance at all costs. If I would have known what I know now I would have gone through my own bank. Do not buy a Kia.

Performance and customer service from dealership: I was never given a chanc
Performance and customer service from dealership: I was never given a chance to drive my New 2012 Kia Rio by the salesperson. Being a woman, I felt they took advantage of me. No test drive, who does that. It was a cash sale. Yes, thats right. I shelled out a cool $ 19,924.05 and now, I am getting treated like crap by the local dealership. I was not told there was not a spare in the trunk. So all this time I m driving around thinking it was a spare not a box and a small compressor that doesnt work. It took me having a flat on a cold snowy day with my baby in my car. They refused to send a courtesy shuttle for me and kept giving me the run around. I then called for roadside service which showed up 1 hour later. I could change the tire and the hole was too big to fix with the so-called repair kit, what a joke. That is just one issue. Second complaint, the gas mileage is not what the sticker price claimed. I spent too much on gas with that car. And third complaint is the car drives lousy and rough, it doesnt even drive like a new car, no smoothness, and I feel and hear every bump in the road. It has a pull and drives real slow and doesnt take a hill at all. The car has no power at all. What liars to get a sale. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Poor service and no care for the customer now that they have got my hard earned money. Do I take a loss and trade or just sell the car out right and go to another dealership? I knew I should have gone to Ford. I guess you live and learn you people are real jerks. Now, they have my car that was towed to them. They have no tires on hand and had to order one at my expense, $100.00 to be exact. And, they refused to give me loaner car until this issue could be resolved, but I raised so much beef with them they finally obliged me and gave me a used Sonata to drive. That is the least you could have done. Do I sue or wait and see what Kia is going to do about my car. Twice they tell me nothing is wrong with the car, I drive it daily and I know that there is. I even had my son fly in from Virginia to drive it. I figured maybe it was operator error. Wrong, it is that cheap made car which should have been recalled in my book. The overall performance is shabby to say the least and has no high quality performance and for a 2012, it drives like it is 6 years old or more.

I bought a Cadenza 2011 (brand new) from Saudi Arabia, Dammam branch. Vehicle VIN no: **. The car makes very strong sound when I just run the engine on. It is strong enough to shake the car. Anyway, the car was checked by the KIA agency in Dammam more than 8 times, due to the regular checking every 5,000 km and other checking for the particular defect as well. They promised me after every check that theyll fix the damage, but actually it is not fixed yet. I ask you, as you are the main center to deal with and stop them giving bad picture about KIA product by manipulating with their customers. I need the car to be fixed, if it is fixable or changed with a new one if it is manufacturers defect, as soon as I will not be forced to complain at the costumer production affairs or complaining on the daily newspaper. My family bought a brand new Kia Sorento from this dealership 7 months ago and it almost took their lives on the highway when the car suddenly stalled and stopped. We had our car towed to the dealership and they told us that the alternator was the problem and that our mechanic had spilt oil into it and it wasnt a warrantable item. We choose to not to believe them and had the car towed out and the alternator inspected and we found out that it was a failed part that they dont make any more for Kias. We sent the alternator to them after they told us to, to show them that they were putting peoples lives in danger and that they should have warrantied it and paid for it but instead they call us and tell us no. Instead of taking care of us they keep spinning this around trying to take advantage of us just so they do not have to pay. Keep your family safe and dont bother buying a car from here. Were not gonna give up. Were gonna make sure to fight this cause this is a crime.

I have the KIA K900 year 2015. I have a recurring event my car tries to EAT
I have the KIA K900 year 2015. I have a recurring event my car tries to EAT me. Really I mean just that. To understand this let me let you know that this car is totally computer controlled. Everything is controlled by the onboard computer. There is no manual levers to work with. E Brake is computer controlled, shifting, starting, running, lighting, air conditioning and also the steering is drive by wire. So with that information here is how my car tries to eat me. I get into the car and put on my seat belt and step on the brake pedal and press the start button and my seat moves very fast all the way forward so much that I cannot move anything. Real, leg under the dash pressed hard into the dash well and the seat with not stop until it get where it wants to go then it stops moving. Now this is the terrorizing part. I cannot move the seat anywhere. It will not move back or anything at all. Now this is scary to me because I am thinking, Hey I am pressed hard against the steering wheel airbag if it goes off I am a dead man. I am a man with a disability and trying to get out of this was impossible. I had the police and fire to come help me and the fireman were able to twist me out of the car like a corkscrew. After this happen I had it towed to KIA Place I got it from and they worked on it and could not find anything wrong so to maybe fix this they did a complete computer reinstall of my car. Well this car eating me thing happened four more time and then the scariest thing happen. My car while I was drive down the road next to Safeway ate me. I could not move my feet to step on the brake and the right foot was on the gas pedal which I move sideways to prevent me from pressing on the gas. But the worst was I could not control the car because I was pressed so hard against the steering wheel I could not turn it but very little. Visions of hitting anything and having the airbag go off was scary. Of course this end ok, the fire department and police are the greatest and best people around. I was pulled from the vehicle again and the car when to KIA car company again. The company was really mad about this because my car tried to eat the service manager also. But KIA in the sky said not to repair it because they could not replicate the error. Now this top of the Line KIA Motors vehicle The all great K900 sit on the side of the road. I will never drive it again and the car company that I got it from understands but cannot help me and still to date KIA Motor in the sky will not make good on this car. Microsoft who programmed the car computer system says it is a defective BIO somethinga majiggy they are EPOMS thingies. But KIA Motors in the sky will not authorize a replacement of the computer thingy... I will never own another KIA Motors car at all.

I own a 2016 Kia Soul with only 650 miles on it, purchased 10-15-15. I purchased it with 8 miles on it but after 3 weeks of ownership, I HATE IT! Kia sucks and they should be bought and sold off to the lowest bidder. From day one after I put $5000 down on this piece of ** it has been acting weird and I cant return it without losing my Fn cash down payment. These are the problems I experienced so far... It gets poor gas mileage - not as advertised. Only gets 21 city and 25 hwy in a 1.6 liter 130 horse power 4 cylinder moped engine. It shifts funny. It takes off when you press the gas kind of shaky/jerky and rough. The braking in it is awful and jerks at the end of a stop. The road noise and engine noise is annoying and LOUD. The idling at a stop sign or traffic light is much the same as a Harley motorcycle - shaky as hell. The dome lights cuts off when they want to and finally the pick up/take off is slower than a riding lawn mower and just as sketchy. My biggest problem is I was told 1 week after I purchased the car, all new cars will come with backup camera which only the exclaim and plus had and when I went over to look at the new 2016s they all had tinted windows, backup cameras and touch screen display...1 fn week after I got mine and the dealers knew this before they sold me this piece of ** with no tint, camera or touch screen for the same price I would have paid for the additions. Im stuck with this ** and I cant do a thing. There should be a law against selling people lemons and wasting their time having to get a brand damned new car fixed. Worst company ever! I will never buy a Kia again!! Car was losing oil so I took it to the dealership twice. The second time the determination was that it needed a new engine because there was sludge in the engine. Kias corporate office refused to cover this repair because I couldnt produce enough receipts (they have 5 and wanted 7). The last offer was for them to cover half of the expenses for engine replacement, about $3500 for my half. We declined the offer and are seeking legal counsel. This has to be the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced. There has been a lot of finger-pointing and no one wants to take any responsibility. After reviewing other peoples complaints I noticed that that seems to be a common denominator in all of the complaints, that Kia refuses to stand behind their product and guarantee their warranty. What a horrible experience and a terrible company. I think its about time for a class-action lawsuit. It certainly seems like there are a lot of other people affected like this.

I made a complaint to an employee and he tells me it will be approved for a new engine and he will call me back by the end of the day to let me know when the loaner car is ready for me. 4 days later I get a call saying they have a rental car ready for me to pick up when Im ready. I go in to find out I have to pay $200 deposit out of my pockets. I dont understand how my car engine blows out because of the recall and now I have to pay $200 for a rental car? Kia should provide me with a loaner car or pay that themselves.

Kia took an extra payment after a payoff was done. I called to have them refund the extra balance. First agent told me that it would be sent to the correct address. It did not. Forward a month later, called again to ask where it was. They sent to wrong address. Had the agent request a stop payment and send to correct address. Told me she did. Forward a month. Asked where the check was and the agent told me they never processed. Had the call escalated to two Incompetent Managers one which was named Julie. Julie started the conversation trying to act tough to get me off the phone. Told me to wait another half a month to get my money back. Funny thing is if I didnt make payments on the car guess who would be calling me for money. Im doing the exact same thing to get my money back. Julie then proceeded to get snarky and ended the conversation by hanging up on me. What a tool.

Two weeks ago we purchased a new 2014 Kia Soul +. And less than 48 hrs/200 miles later, a loud clunk noise occurred at 45 mph, causing the vehicle to jump, and thereafter was stuck in 4th gear. The dealer replaced a computer module that controls the transmission. Had to drive a loaner for 5 days then got repaired Kia back... Within 24 hrs/60 miles, the same clunk, again stuck in 4th gear. The service dept guy told me there was nothing for them to look at unless the check engine light was on.. so I continued on to work, driving 45 mph on 4-lane highway for 35 miles :( . The check engine light did eventually come on. Back to the service dept, where they said they needed to reset the system with the new module. After another 2 days of driving a loaner, picked up the (repaired) Soul within 36 hrs/70 miles, another clunk and stuck in 4th gear. I should mention that the clunk feels like the equivalent of driving over a speed bump at 45 mph.. it jars the entire vehicle and causes me to have a startle response.. I believe there MUST be damage occurring. My Soul+ is again back at the dealer, for what the service guy said would likely be several days.. He also said he had no idea why it was malfunctioning. I believe the dealer should replace the car.. It was NOT sound when I bought it.. I dont trust driving it not knowing when it might malfunction again. If I happened to be in heavy traffic when it happens again, I could very well have an accident due to the startling nature of the event. I am paying for a brand new vehicle purchased 13 days ago, that I have driven for less than 5 days AND in Illinois. This vehicle is nearly covered by the Lemon Law.. just one more failed repair attempt and were there :(

My husband and I bought a 2009 Kia Sorento in December 09, three days befor
My husband and I bought a 2009 Kia Sorento in December 09, three days before he was deployed to Iraq. We were told that we had a bumper to bumper warranty, and that everything would be covered. Within a month, I took the car back to the dealership to be told that nothing was wrong. On 3 other occasions, I was told the same thing. In July 2011, with under 50,000 miles, my car started to sound like an airplane taking off. I took the car back to Kia. And they told me I needed a rear differential. It would cost about 1400.00 to replace. They explained to me that the rear axle and back wheels could lock up. I asked about the warranty. And they said I needed to show them my oil change receipts. What does an oil change have to do with a rear differential? I spoke with the district manager who is very unprofessional and rude! She said that Kia will not honor the warranty and fix my car! Even the service manager was shocked! Kia prides themselves on their warranty, and now I see why. Because they dont honor it! Now we are stuck paying 19,000 for an SUV that is broke.

Brand new 2017 Kia Sorento top of the line. MSRP 51k I leased this junk, thank god too! I woke up today ready for work and when I went to start this junk, it wouldnt start. I had to call Kia roadside asst. Here is the number 800 333 4542. They came and towed it to the nearest dealership. Im now waiting at home missing work, waiting for the dealership to call me. Do not buy or lease a Kia. I would be better off with a bicycle.

I thought I found my dream car, but ended up having it for just 3 weeks. Two and a half weeks after purchasing, my battery went dead so I had it jumped and my boss checked the oil since the hood was open. He was totally shocked as there was absolutely no oil reading on the stick at all. We went and got a quart of oil and told me to immediately take it to the dealer. The dealer gave me a loaner car for the day so they could make sure there was no damage and said it was fine, topped it off with oil and said there was a loose wire on the battery. Three days later my husband drove the car to the store and called me and said he now knows where the oil is going... Its burning it. He said he saw a stream of smoke as he drove down the road. My first response was, this cant be... I am so in love with this car!! (Crazy I know!)I called the dealership and my husband took it straight there and they said a Kia dealer needs to look at it. Well, long story short and tons of phone calls to the Dealer and Kia Consumer Affairs, there was major sludge in the engine and the engine needed a replacement. According to Carfax, per Kia, there is no indication there was any maintenance to the car which resulted in the sludge. Ive never even heard the word sludge in regards to a car until this and now that Ive researched it... its an ongoing problem. Even though the car is still under the 60,000 mile warranty, Kia is not taking any responsibility and claims the dealer should have checked the car thoroughly before selling it to me. Kia also denied the warranty with this same problem on this car in July 2016 so the original owner traded it in for another victim to purchase and deal with this problem, which ultimately was me. Kia denies the warranty because of no proof of proper maintenance, but yet doesnt protect the next buyer with the sludge problem for this to happen again to an innocent buyer that was in search of a car. They claimed they didnt report things like that to Carfax. I stated, well maybe the owner did his own oil changes like my husband does and maybe it could be a defective problem. Of course there was no reason for them to listen to my plea or opinion. There was no reason for me to know there was any kind of problem. We checked the car out and everything looked great under the hood that we could see as well as the running of the car for the 3 weeks I had it. I just want to make it clear to the next buyer... Just because youre buying a car with a warranty it could have the word if behind it, so please be careful. Check the car fax, obviously its their certifiable proof of the maintenance of the vehicle, (its not just for wrecks anymore), read any lawsuits that are out there and for the lenders, be careful of what youre financing. If a car fax determines the maintenance of a car and a warranty that is not being honored because of it, you could be holding a title of a car that is not even on the road and end up in your parking lot broken down. Meanwhile, the consumers credit that they have worked on for years go to shambles. Personally, I believe over greed and deceit. Ive been without a car for 10 days now and unsure where all of this is going. Loved my car and so did my clients that I drove around. Its a shame how this was handled. I just hope I protect the next person on what to look at before purchasing what they believe has a warranty and is protected.

DO NOT PURCHASE A KIA - Kia Motors America IS AWFUL! I bought a car from Peak Kia in Colorado Springs, CO in July 2018 right after my husband returned from his deployment. It has since been in the shop since Jan 14, 2019. They have never fixed the initial issue of it not starting properly and have found various other items wrong with the car. I contacted Kia Corporate about a buyback (not lemon law) in February 2019 and they said they would process it and to send the paperwork. I did this in March 2019. Kia Corporate has escalated my case to upper management and the representative has called me two times since the case was assigned to him. He will not return phone calls or emails. The communication is not there and nothing is being done.Peak Kia has stated many times they do not know what is wrong with it; corporate refuses to do anything. I have been driving a small car since January when my vehicle is an SUV. We are still paying monthly payments on a car we havent driven since January. I have all items documented but both Peak Kia and Kia Corporate do not appear to care. I am sick of this and something needs to be done. Being called two times in 5 months by my case manager from corporate is absolutely ridiculous. If the vehicle cannot be fixed in 5 months, it clearly cant be fixed. It needs to be bought back or they need to take it back for what I paid and supply me with a new vehicle, as well as all monthly payments, insurance and inconvenience fees. Kia Motors America is the worst company- buyers beware!

My wife and I purchased this 2011 Kia Soul PLUS Pre-Owned from a dealership
My wife and I purchased this 2011 Kia Soul PLUS Pre-Owned from a dealership in San Juan Capistrano (Ocean Kia) in July of 2013 and we did not get any additional Warranty except for the 60-day warranty that this car came with. Yesterday, 9/08/2014, my wife was sitting in her car in a parking lot for no more than 20 Minutes, parked, parking brake ON, AC on as well. The vehicle then started to Shake like something in the engine was happening. My wife then turned off the vehicle and tried turning the vehicle back on... Nothing happened. The car had power still and the ignition was making the clicking sound of trying to start but to no avail. My wife let the car rest for about 4 hours before trying to start the car again and this time it started, so she started driving. She made it onto the freeway and started driving home THEN the car lost power to the engine and the steering became difficult and she was able to coast to the emergency lane and called me HYSTERICAL and said her car had shut down! The car would not start for another 5 minutes, turned back on, and she was able to exit the freeway to a Park and Ride type of parking lot... While pulling into the Park and Ride THE CAR STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP THIS TIME AND SHUT OFF AGAIN AND WOULD NOT GET OUT OF PARK AFTER IT DIED. My wife hadnt even made it to a parking spot yet.THE CAR DIDNT TURN BACK ON AGAIN AND EVERYTHING, ALL POWER TURNED OFF. STEERING WHEEL STILL LOCKED. I told her about using the Shift lock release and, while the car was still off, putting the car into drive and then back to park and try to start it again and it did. She was able to get the car into a safer spot and left it there. I read about that trick in a forum... But no reason for why or how, haha. We are out of our warranty BUT THIS ISNT A WEAR AND TEAR ISSUE and We dont know what to do. We have regular maintenance done and we take care of the car and I know that These Souls, even the 2014, have had similar issues. It sucks because these are fun cars to drive BUT apparently have issues.

We experienced our 2nd flat tire, seemingly on the same tire, but not sure. When we took the car in, with this flat tire, we were told they were unable to patch and patch and a new tire would be needed. Trouble is, all four tires were new and we had never changed any. The only tire ever attended to prior, was another flat tire we were told was also not repairable. So with 4 new tires, how could we have a patch? Apparently we were not sold a new tire the last time, and instead, replaced by a patched tire. Now they say they dont remember so it is our word against theirs. We are not happy about this.

My daughter was driving a 2005 Kia Sorento on the freeway when you got off
My daughter was driving a 2005 Kia Sorento on the freeway when you got off an exit and just when she did she lost power steering, brake light and oil light went on. Luckily she had just got off the freeway or it could have been a very bad outcome. I am trying to find anyone who may have had a problem with this during the 2017 year (but missed the class action suit). I called Kia consumer line and they were nice at first. As soon the a case manager got my case, she completely back peddled and told me not only do I have to tow it, I have to pay for the diagnostics as well and probably to fix it too since its passed the warranty.I cant find a recall on the crank shaft pulley but I heard there was a voluntary recall. If anyone received a letter from Kia about the crank shaft bolt or anything similar for their Kia Sorento please let me know. I need something to hold them accountable. Just like many other forums Ive seen, they are washing their hands off it. Also willing to start a lawsuit with others as well.

2011 Optima - We purchased this vehicle brand new 20 months ago at Big Red
2011 Optima - We purchased this vehicle brand new 20 months ago at Big Red in Norman. No problems until approx. Jan/Feb, the engine started making bad noises. I took it to Big Red service dept. They treated us like we were idiots and they didnt hear anything. I took it back as it progressively got worse, only to be told they didnt know what the noise was but they could not fix it and sent us away. We traveled to Bob Howard Kia in Edmond, OK and wasted two weekends only to be sent away and told we never changed the oil! Its ridiculously disrespectful to us to assume we didnt take care of this brand new vehicle! We each have brand new cars and trucks in this family and each one of us care 100% for each vehicle. On time oil changes, all maintenance, etc! Finally, service manager, Todd **, said, Prove you did oil changes! Bring receipts! We spent a full week collecting as many receipts as humanly possibly! I drove back to Kia Edmond to show to service manager, Todd **, only to be told after another wasted day of waiting and given the runaround, at last he said, Oh but they didnt use Kia filters. Sorry, now I cannot help you! Nowhere does any document you sign buying a brand new car does it indicate you have to use a Kia filter only! This service manager was making things up as he went along to us! Very upset. Now, the car cannot even be driven! We need help ASAP or comments on what to do now? I contacted every single Oklahoma State Organization I could think of and Kia Edmond online several times and still not one phone call or email. Sad, sad, sad to drive a 10-year warranty vehicle along with extended warranty only to be turned down or totally ignored at every turn.

First off - I bought this car not knowing that a set of 4 tires would cost
First off - I bought this car not knowing that a set of 4 tires would cost me $900 or that a set of brakes would be nearly that much. The paint came off of the shifter knob almost immediately, the finish came off both the front and back emblems shortly after, and the rims scratch so easily all you have to do is THINK about a curb. That being said I DID love my car for a long time and it was very babied. Oil changed every 3k to 3.5k, but at the last oil change something happened. I have no idea what, but ever since then it has leaked oil. I took it back to the oil place twice. Both times they said it was the gasket, put a new gasket on, washed the oil off the underside of my car, and sent me on my way. STILL leaked.I then made an appointment at the Kia dealer. Well not just any mechanic can look at it, I had to have a master mechanic look at it. This involved me dropping it off on a Saturday, picking up a loaner, and then picking it back up on Monday after work. Well after $170 for the diagnostics that HAD to be done to determine the problem I was told that the oil place had not tightened the plug properly. They tightened the plug, topped off the oil, washed the underside and sent me on my way. One week later I leave for work to get a call that there is a big puddle of oil right where my car had been parked!!! So I message the dealership online saying that I can not call them - long distance calls are a no-no at work. I ask them to please have the service department call me ASAP as my car was just in but is still leaking OIL! 4 hours later NO CALL, I message again. 2 more hours later NO CALL.I am seriously at the end of my rope with all of this and here is the bit that just puts the icing on the cake... while it was in for the oil leak I decided to have tires put on (I opted to do two now for $400 instead of the whole enchilada at once). WELL I picked up my car and went on to run errands. After one stop I was walking up to my car and noticed that there was a strange and very new crinkle underneath the drivers door on the frame area. I thought how strange and decided to look at the other side... same thing!! So the only thing I can figure is that at some point during that POINTLESS service appointment they drove my car onto the lift incorrectly causing compression-like dents under my driver and front passenger doors!!! Oh and my backup camera conveniently fritzed out right around 70,000 miles - I cant remember what the exact mileage is that the stereo/navigation is no longer covered by warranty, but I do know that mine no longer is and it is $500 for a new one!! I am beyond disappointed with Kia - the car, the dealership, the customer service, all of it!!!! Boooo!

We purchased a 2008 Kia Rio for our son to use before he graduated high school. In the 3 1/2 years since it has, it barely had 30k miles on it. Our son reported while driving it 2 weeks ago, that it jolted and he thought he had a blowout, but upon checking it, the tires were good. However, the right front wheel was free to float forward and backward in the wheel well. The Kia technician was quick to advise us that the person we had who welded the control arm did a poor job and it broke. He was immediately advised that the car was purchased new and other than oil changes, it has never been mechanically worked on. The service manager said they would submit it for warranty approval. Two days later, it was denied and we were informed that the operator hit something and broke the control arm. What happened to the expert opinion stating a bad welding job to breakage caused by damage? This isnt my first time around the block and I know when smoke is being blown up my shorts. The denial came from a supposed Kia rep. The Albuquerque Kia ran me around for a week to even get this information from them and would not follow up on information leaving me to them. One of their people even had the ignorance to even say aw boo! What was that supposed to mean? But they have my car and I understand what a mechanics lean is.
