Hyundai Motor Company, often abbreviated to Hyundai Motors and commonly known as Hyundai, is a South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Hyundai Motor Company was founded in 1967.

The Hyundai Sonata is a formidable mid-size-sedan contender. Well built, spacious, and reasonably fuel efficient, it has all the hallmarks that consumers in this class want. The brand even offers hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants for more eco-conscious shoppers. Still, the Sonata lacks the finesse that makes competitors such as the Honda Accord and the Mazda 6 so enjoyable to drive. On top of this, the Sonata’s styling is staid, and its most powerful engine, a 245-hp turbocharged four-cylinder, falls flat in comparison with the V-6 engines of its competitors.

Product Reviews:

I bought my Hyundai Sonata in May 2011 and was happy, until on 15,000 mile service. My tires were rotated and I started to hear a noise. I went to the Hyundai service and told them about the noise. They called me about an hour after I left my car saying that the noise coming from the tires and the reason is lack of rotation. When I asked why lack of rotation will cause this problem, service manager told me that the way suspension set in my Sonata caused chopping of the rear wheels if they are not rotated each 5,000-7,500 miles. So Dear Hyundai! I did drive many other car brands and never was too strict about rotating the tires in time. It never made this type of terrible damage to the tires. I started to check online and realized that I'm not alone! Digging a bit more, I understand now that one of the vectors for the rear wheels suspension alignment is static. This is the source of the issue!I contacted Hyundai customer affairs and asked to make exception and replace my 2 noisy tires now so I can drive my new car without this terrible noise. I said that I will not continue to complain about the strict rotation requirement and will do it as they advised in the service from now on. However, I also said that such exception tires handling should be communicated when they do the service or even when they sell the car. When I did my first, 7,500 miles service at Hyundai dealership, they did not offer me the rotation nor advised that I should do it and why it is important.Hyundai customer service answer was that I should not wait for service or Hyundai to tell me that I need to do a rotation but ask the service to make the rotation. Thank you for this advice! I'm now on the list of unhappy Hyundai customers and probably will never go for another Hyundai nor let any of my friends to make the same mistake!

If you plan to lease a Hyundai, read the contract!!! I wanted to pay off the vehicle early, to purchase something other than a Hyundai and was told by the leasing company it would be an additional $400.00 to return the car in early, or on time. You would think, being that my husband works for the dealership, he would have been told this... so angry!!!

See attached photos! Out of the last 5 years I have owned my Hyundai I have had 4 door handles break and latches on inside to visor mirror & center console break within the first year of owning the vehicle. And I don't have children and never use these doors! It seems these are very cheaply made causing a huge inconvenience! 2 door handles repaired in the past 3 years and now 2 more are broke the same way this last year that have not been repaired. This has become very pricey and unnecessary to have to maintain to have working door handles. I have owned many cars in my life and never had this problem! Why aren't these considered recalls??? I feel I should not have to continue to pay for the replacements of the handles and latches! I would like Hyundai to be responsible to repairing these items as they are currently not in working condition! Sincerely, Frustrated Hyundai owner.

Bought a brand new car 2014 Forte. Humble Hyundai will not fix or replace it. What is the use of having a new car when you can't drive it due to a knot on the back tire? I travel every other weekend to take care of a family member. I can't do that with this tire. They do not want to even help, they say we got to pay for it out of our pocket. I think that is wrong, I gave them a nice Kia with nothing wrong, they gave me a tire with a knot on it. If your car is new with warranty, don't you think they would replace but no.So whoever reads this please do not go to Hyundai dealer in Humble TX that is in Houston off of 1960. I went to a different one, they got bought out so the car I was going to buy Humble Hyundai bought them so they're not going to be even better. Kia in Baytown was lot better when I bought our Kia Soul. We just outgrow it. I need to get a tire so I can go help a grandma. I'm like a caretaker. When the kids need a break with them not helping, it's hard to get someone else. We only have these Kia Forte, his truck is down right so we got 2014 car that can't drive due to a Nexen tire. Thanks.

We have had this 2005 Hyundai Tiburon car for 5 years now. It has been running great until now. It hit 101,000 miles and the gears or transmission is slipping. We shouldn't be having transmission problems with those miles on it. We went to get the transmission serviced and they said it was going to be 7 1/2 hrs of service to do that and it would be just as much to replace the transmission. It should not have this problem so soon.

This is the last car I plan to ever have cuz gots all the options, loaded it - has it all. I have 20 year warranty, free car washes, and it's the last car I'm going to ever need - it will last forever. Car is fast too, nobody keeping up with it, they can keep dreaming because nothing comes close. This car rides so good and the gas mileage is crazy man, I never have to fill the tank on it. I fill up the tank and I can drive for 3 weeks and it's still got a half tank left on it. I'm never having any problems with this car and so glad I didn't buy a Honda. Hyundai is the way to go and the best car in the world.

2021 iconic does not support Apple phones even though they have Apple iplay icon in car. USB port does not work either. Although there is one in the car. Salespeople do not know this. Salesperson said my iPhone would work in the car. It does not. I sent an email to customer service. The form letter they sent back said they put what they feel the customer wants in the car. Really? Do you believe the customer doesn’t want to be able to use iPhones (really). And I mean any generation iPhone. I cannot use my phone GPS with Apple iplay or even my phone. Why would anyone not want to be able to use their iphone functions in a 2021 new car. No help or assistance from dealer or Hyundai. Will never buy a Hyundai again. They do not stand by their cars or even offer any type of resolution. Beware.

I had a 2006 Azera that I drove for 147k Miles. It was a near perfect ownership experience. So I purchased a 2011 Genesis 3.8. It's been very disappointing to say the least. What made it disappointing is Hyundai's degrading their warranty so that not a single malfunction has been covered by their warranty. I now had 51k miles on the Genesis. This is what had not been covered by their warranty. Navigation does not boot up ~30% of the time, moisture inside rear tail light, wind noise from passenger rear door from day 1, windshield wipers have no intermittent, phone bluetooth cuts out. Wheels peeling clear coat from day one. Dead front strut. So I would recommend avoiding Hyundai. I feel like a chump from driving one. Plus, the ride is rough and too much road noise for this class of car. Avoid!

I've been a Hyundai owner for two years. I had no issue with my Tucson except they charge you so terribly much for service appointments. Then I started reading reviews and my eyes opened. I even had them install a remote starter which was an epic joke. Useless.... Don't get a remote through Hyundai...ever!!! That said...my brother in law has a new Elantra which has been in shop for over a month! Mechanics say needs new engine.... Hyundai says keep running tests. So wtf Hyundai!!?? He needs for work and is still battling with this! So I start looking and quickly got out of my Hyundai and upgraded...and I will NEVER give another cent to Hyundai or recommend to anyone!!! Horrible customer service and if you don't see that...you are being fooled as they don't give a ** about the consumer!!

I purchased my first Hyundai two years ago! After hearing nothing but glowing reviews about the company and the cars dependability. Sadly I can't say I have seen any of that! After 12+ trips to your dealerships for service issues this purchase has left me with nothing but regret. I have taken my vehicle to two separate dealerships in Nashville in hopes of receiving better service. I have time and time again been left disappointed. The car dies while driving down the road and all anyone can tell me is that it must be bad gas or I'm letting it get too low before refilling. They have even given me lesson on how to pump gas which is an insult to my intelligence. My touch screen dash went out only to get replaced with a dash that was even more broken than the one I drove in with. I was left to drive around with a none functioning dashboard till yet another could be ordered. Recently after taking it to an outside mechanic even more issues were brought to my attention that in all the times your dealers have had the car were never even mentioned to me! The recall work on my rear brakes (which I was never even informed had been recalled!) wasn't holding up my rear brakes were still malfunctioning and causing wear to my front brakes. In addition to the fact that my car's rotational tires were on backwards! It saddens me to think a company so well noted for its customer service in the twelve times it had my car never took the time to even look at my car long enough to notice such simple things as tires and brakes! This level of neglect has made me feel unsafe to drive a car from a company who can take my safety and the safety of others on the road so carelessly for granted. I initially purchased the car for 16,995 before taxes and now less than two years later they are telling me the value of my car is a mere 8,995. Seeing as how no one has stepped up and taken accountability for these issues it seems my only choice is to go online and post reviews. I just don't understand how this level of service has become acceptable? What happened to your morals and value?
