They have the most up to date cars on the market. They don't have any junk and they can only sell the best since they do ask for a lot of money as a down payment. They let you upgrade your car just as long as you have the money to do it. You can customize your car too for your style. I like the way it makes me feel. You can fit all that you need to fit. The Land Rover offers exciting features and also has tons of room. It has plenty of leg room for a passenger, and the seats in the back can be adjusted for large items and if need be can easily seat 6-8 people in the back. Plus has great handling and gets up to speed rather quickly. Standard features includes the basics like a/c cruise control, all power, GPS, dvd player. Just read all of these reviews. I recently acquired a Land Rover Discovery custom built off of the assembly line. 1200 miles and we experienced a horrific gas leak in the engine. My wife filled up the car and shortly thereafter the entire car was full of gas fumes. LR dispatched a tow truck. The tow company requested that we call the Fire Department before they would touch it. Then they were unable to get it into neutral or drive. Wanted us to sign a waiver releasing them of any issues while transferring the truck. We would not. So hours later they left. We are waiting on another tow truck now. After reading these reviews I am very concerned that I just threw $70,000 down a hole. The vehicle smells terribly of GAS fumes and it does not run. We do not want this car back under any circumstances. Might lead to litigation if we do not get a replacement. I had a 2006 Range Rover Sport HSE. I loved it! At about 90,000 km, I started getting intermittent "reduced engine efficiency" warnings that began to result in low speed stalls. Check engine light occasionally would come on as well. I had my mechanic replace several sensors. Then I took it to the Land Rover dealer (in the next city) who diagnosed a mass airflow sensor as the culprit. This was changed but it kept reoccurring. More diagnostics (and the money associated with that) and resetting of the codes: same mafs but nothing was wrong with the sensor! Land Rover was unhelpful and quite frankly, disinterested. I guess the repeated cost resetting charges were making everyone happy (except me). So, I bought a 2013 Ford Explorer, a great vehicle at a half the cost, same great cargo space, better ride (!) and a more accessible dealer network. It's a great truck.I'm very disappointed in Land Rover. I currently have a Mercedes E-class which I've had for almost 10 years without any significant issues, as well as a summer-only 5-year old Porsche that has cost me only oil changes. I don't mind spending money on vehicles, but I won't be loyal to a brand that can't fix their own vehicles properly. Good riddance, Landie, forever.Vince of Stoney Creek, ON

Our Range Rover Sport 2015 with 47,000kms under 3 years old goes into limp mode and JLR service says it needs a new engine. Although still under warranty they refuse to replace the engine, firstly they say we put the wrong oil in it...this is tested and proven incorrect. Next they say warranty is refused because you cannot supply the entire service history (we purchased vehicle from an auction). We finally track down the original owner and provide the entire service history which is in the perimeters of warranty terms. Still JLR press on for statutory declarations and proof of genuine parts.This goes on for 8 months while JLR try their hardest to squirm their way out of honouring the Warranty. After 8 long months without our vehicle and being treated with distain by JLR Customer Support we finally got a new engine which we were always entitled to. In summary nice comfortable car to drive but will Never buy another Range Rover or product from JLR...Pick up your game JLR, build vehicles that last and have a really good look at your customer service practices.Vanessa of Other, Other

They started talking about new brakes before I picked up my 2016 Range Rover HSE w TD6 from the first service at 16,000 miles. For RR brakes are a large expense and as you'd imagine they don't recommend changing the pads alone but, rather, pads and rotors always. Sure. The RR is a heavy vehicle. Others such as Ford and others design heavy commercial trucks with reliable braking systems that do not require this type of maintenance.For me, I consider the mention of brake replacement when current brakes measure plenty of life left to be nothing short of the dealer set-up priming you for a big expense down the road. Same thing happened on my previous Sport. Then I carried to a reliable repair shop who replaced rotors and pads for $880 compared to the then-$2200 quoted by RR dealer. So in the end owner sat is heavily influenced by the dealer and their ethics and response to issues. Read other reviews. The vehicles are solid, beautiful, functional and smart. On 23 July 2014 I purchased a 2011 Range Rover HSE with 35,043 miles on it for $63,289.00 from Land Rover Seattle. At that time I also purchased a warranty from National Warranty Corp., for $5000. To date I’ve put less than 35k miles on the vehicle. So basically I've spent over $1800 per mile driven. The vehicle has completely stalled out (complete loss of power) on 6 different occasions. On three of those 6 occasions I’ve been put in life-threatening positions. On this last occasion, while entering the freeway at 60 miles per hour the vehicle stalled out. Two times before that I stalled out while crossing a major intersection blocking 8 lanes and the police had to direct traffic and call in 2 other officers to push me out of the way.My vehicle has been in the shop for approximately 100+ days in the last 5 years. I’ve been very patient, but this last close call has pushed me over the edge. I’ve been so traumatized that I no longer am able to drive the vehicle. I contacted their corporate office and the dealership. The sales manager told me, over the phone they would give me $18,000 toward a trade-in + another $2000. When I got to the dealership today they told me they would give me 10K. for my car. It was my dream to own a Range Rover, but clearly it is only for the very wealthy, as I can't afford to drop 63k on a vehicle that I put 35K miles on and the value is now 10k. I put low miles on my cars. I have a 2011 Land Rover Range Rover HSE and the coolant hose broke while driving on a highway, I pulled over immediately when warning light came on but it was too late. The coolant went into my engine, it was overheated, the gasket blown, and 2 cylinders were toast and the engine is warped. The cost of a new engine exceeds the value of the SUV. With 38k miles and routine services done, it's unacceptable a $89,000 vehicle would be made so flimsy that the coolant hose would fail. And there are no safeguards against the engine frying. Only if the coolant was leaking instead of a hose bursting. The mechanics are stunned looking at the hose and wondering why Land Rover wouldn't help me out, especially with low miles on the vehicle. From what I'm told, do not own a Land Rover that is out of warranty. My dealership is Land Rover of Monmouth. They didn't even offer any break on repair and when I asked for quote on new left over 2016 vehicle they gave me about a 2% discount. A joke with 60+ 2016 range Rovers (including sport model) available when 2017 models are being released by end of year. A different dealership I've never done business with gave me upfront a better deal before I even started negotiating. Land Rover of Princeton. If I decide to get a new one, I will make sure it's not in my possession when it's out of warranty and definitely will buy from Princeton dealership. When I first received my 2018 Range Rover HSE it was a great car for the first month but it's been a year and now I absolutely hate it, here are some reasons why. The infotainment system is the worst that I have ever worked with. The screens in the car will all go black in the middle of driving, even on the highway. It is impossible to connect a brand new iPhone X to the BRAND NEW Range Rover, I have tried relentlessly to connect my phone to the car through Bluetooth. The Bluetooth in the car is always failing. The glitching and lag from the infotainment screens make you want to take a baseball bat to the screen. If you have made it this far in my review now I'd like to tell you that my family have had 6 previous Land Rover vehicles and I have a heart felt love for the brand. But, if Range Rover won't fix their infotainment problem, I will never buy another one and suggest that no one should either.Finally you may be thinking to yourself,"Did you do anything to resolve the issues?" Yes, I have gone to my local Range Rover dealership more than 2 times and they have given my car updates. These updates HAVE NOT WORKED. I still face all the same issues I had faced about 11 moths ago. My favorite part in this experience is the lack of reality that my local Range Rover dealership has. They have told me repeatedly that if I experience any problems with my car them I should,"pull over and shut off the car for 5 to 10 minutes." So I guess every time there is malfunction with the infotainment system (which is about every day) then while driving to what ever destination I am traveling to that day, I should just pull over and take, "5 to 10 minutes," to restart my car. I purchased a 2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible in February 2017. If I knew then, what I know now, I would HAVE NEVER purchased the Range Rover Evoque Convertible. Here are the very few good things: Smooth Ride, SUV Convertible. Here is a list of the bad things with this car: Car not starting and stalling out: About 2 months ago this car started stopping mid drive. It does not happen every day, but when it does it is very scary.GPS and Radio Do not Work all of the time: About a month ago the GPS and Stereo screen blanks out at start up of the car. Happens about 3 times a week, not every time. Meridian Stereo is Awful: The speakers that they use in this car are very poor quality. I keep the bass and subwoofer at -1 and only turn it up 1/2 way and the 2 back speakers have blown out completely. So bad I only listen to talk radio now (when the radio turns on and the screen is not frozen).Poor service at all dealers - There are 2 Range Rover/Land Rover dealers in my area. Both of which only have appointments 2 to 3 weeks out. Even after speaking with the service managers they do not have any appointments or loaners for me to use to diagnose and fix these issues for at least 2 to 3 weeks. I suspect that Range Rovers have so many issues that they just do not have the staff to support the demand.Other observations - Car inside uses very cheap plastic in the console and areas in the dashboard, for $55,000 car the interior should be top quality. SUV Convertible: This car is so rare that many people talk to you about it (mostly curiosity and many bad things, like why do you need this car, etc.) I learned to ignore all of this unwanted attention.That said, now I am paying a hefty monthly car payment for this 2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible that has major issues and no resolution in sight. My advice is DO NOT buy a Range Rover and certainly do not buy the Evoque Range Rover convertible if you want a reliable, luxury and convertible that people will bother you about every day.Nick of Lexington, MA
