Jaguar is the luxury vehicle brand of Jaguar Land Rover, a British multinational car manufacturer with its headquarters in Whitley, Coventry, England.

As the only Brit in a segment ruled by Germans, the Jaguar XJ has a lot on its shoulders—a weight it bears remarkably well. A new generation of XJ is in the works and Jaguar has confirmed that it will be an all-electric luxury sedan, debuting sometime before the end of 2019. (We review the racy XJR575 separately.)

Product Reviews:

Not just the worst car company I’ve dealt with, the worst company period. The warranty on my F-type is 50,000 miles or 60 months. The engine failed after 19,300 miles and 33 months of ownership. I am the original owner. Even though I had taken it to the same Jaguar dealer I purchased it from for the scheduled maintenance both times it was necessary, Jaguar denied my warranty claim citing lack of maintenance. They claimed people who buy F-types typically drive short distances so I should have changed the oil more frequently than the manual requires. I have a 20 mile one way commute so I don’t drive it short distances. Even the dealer couldn’t believe Jaguar’s refusal to replace the engine. In addition to $35,000 for a new engine they wanted me to pay another $7,000 if I wanted them to dismantle the engine to determine what part had failed. That money would be non refundable.I found a great mechanic who installed a used engine to get the car running again. I then hired an attorney and took legal action against Jaguar/Land Rover for breach of warranty. It took 9 months but I won the case and Jaguar was ordered to reimburse me for the engine replacement. They had 30 days to pay. After 70 days they still had not paid or answered emails. Only when my attorney threatened to take them to court and seek additional damages did they finally pay up. If you don’t want to receive this type of treatment after you’ve paid $75,000 for a car, then stay away from Jaguar/Land Rover.

Very disappointed with JLR customer services. It is clear that the customer is not a priority and issues all issues with your car are your fault not Jaguars. I have an F Pace that is two years old and have an hole in the carpet caused by a design defect. Plus now the chrome is pealing on the centre control consol. Both not covered under warranty as Jaguar are perfect and do not make mistakes and have no quality issues... Customer Services make you unwanted and Inchcape in Derby West Meadows are a shambles. Customer care goes straight out of the window. For sure I would never buy another vehicle from JLR and never endorse them. Then they tell me there is no escalation above the customer services gods and retraining in values needs to be readdressed.

I have a 2007 S-type diesel. It has always been serviced at the local dealer. At 120,000 km, it has run a big end bearing. The local agent quoted me 20,000 to replace the engine. The car is not worth this. A request to Jaguar France to make a contribution to this was turned down flat. This makes my S-type the most expensive car I ever bought because it effectively has no resale value. Thank you, Jaguar. You won't be seeing me anytime soon in a Jaguar showroom. My next car will be a Mercedes or a BMW.

I purchased a new Jaguar XJL from this dealership. I put $1,000.00 down payment and was told I could pick up the vehicle the following week. After four weeks of non delivery they claimed Bankruptcy. They keep telling me the bank would release the vehicles within a week. They never returned my deposit. I have reported the issue to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles and the BBB.

Jaguar Paint....and other problems: It's possible you may get to go to Arbitration and I will recommend if the Arbitrator ask you what you want... say a new car. If he doesn't grant you a new car then you can only go down from there. Kinda like asking 8000 when you only want 5000, you can't go up from 4000 to 5000 but you can go down. So if they ask you say what you want and maybe a little more. Too many folks get to this stage and only want it fixed... Well no matter how well it's FIXED it is never the same, at least to you. It's not like a new car and the value has been Knocked in the head!! I hope this helps you and anyone else that reads this... I do know Toyota is VERY good with their Arbitrators and usually Grant what the Arbitrator suggest... They don't have much choice and the arbitrators are usually pulling for the customer... esp if they really do have a complaint and the arbitrator understands/sees their complaint. Good luck...

My 2005 Jaguar S-type stalled mid-road. The dealer said that the fuel pump went out on January 2011 and it cost me more than $2,000. Since then, the car stalled and died while driving once in June, another in August and now in October. The dealer replaced the fourth fuel pump, returned the car and told me that everything is okay now. I am not confident that it is safe to drive, as the car dies mid-road and along the highway.

I purchased Jaguar S-type for Galpin Jaguar in Van Nice CA a year ago. The car had only 38.676 and now it has now 56,000. I purchased an extended power train warranty for 12,000 miles or 1 year. Two weeks after warranty was over, the throttle body failed, transmission cooling lines started leaking and I was told breaks need to be replaced. I had the car towed to the dealership. Galpin wants to charge me over $3,000 for repairs, and used car manager refused to take any responsibility for any of the above happened, claiming that it's not unusual and things can happen. This was a $40,000 car with 56,000 miles and it's falling apart! I contacted Jaguar customer service. They’re not taking responsibility for their brand product whatsoever! Meanwhile, Galpin offered me 15% discount on the repair and Jaguar supported. I refused to accept the offer and demanded that Jaguar will accept responsibility for the quality of their product. They promised me that local rep will call me today, but he never did. Please help.

Never buy a Jaguar! It is a piece of junk! I will only list the problems I have had. I have already spent enough time and money on this piece of metal. I l0ost all of its internal lights at night on a three hour trip (including odometer and gas gauge). The next morning, they magically work again. I lost air conditioning and other internal electric. When I took it to the shop, they could not fix it. The mechanic said, "Get rid of it; it has too many gremlins running in it." The car only had 40,000 miles on it. Both front door handles have broken off; water would drain down the door panel, and kill the solenoid to open the door. I get in through the back door. I removed the interior panel on the driver door because I could not get out from inside the car.Now I physically have to operate the solenoid. The sunroof is screwed up. The trunk does not lock; anyone can walk and open it. The doors lock and unlock when it rains, or if they feel like it. The kids from our softball team call it "the car that won’t let you out". The battery on the key died, and the only way to get in was to use a slim jim. I have carried the slim jim for almost a year now. I’ve had to use it about eight times--very embarrassing. The transmission is getting ready to go out. I fear taking my 3-year old son in it because it may break down at anytime. The brakes are horrible; I cannot tell you how many times I’ve replaced them. One speaker in the back works; none of the others work anymore. At this moment, it sits in my mother’s garage, two hours away because it won’t stay running. I cannot even get it home to work on it. It has less than 100,000 miles, but most problems started before 40,000 miles. I would literally give it away, if my conscience would not kill me.

2007 Jaguar XK A/C condensation drain blocked: When A/C is used, water pours onto floorboard, on passenger side, from under the glovebox. I usually take my car to Firestone for service because Jaguar Service is prohibitively expensive. Just as John found out, the only way to get compensation for the problem was to have the car serviced at a Jag dealership. The $250.00 coupon can't even be used to cover a portion of this repair. It's for future repairs. I have to wonder if there is anyone else out there who has received more than a $250.00 coupon?

Jan 25, 2017 I purchased my 1st Jaguar. I had reservation only because what others had said and the reviews I had read. More things not positive from other owners. But I've watched the line-up for the last four years and I was very impressed. Once the F-Pace came out I was really sold because I wanted to get off the ground from my 2015 E400 Benz.Well it would have to happen to me. The first day I take my car home the bluetooth is not functioning correctly. But Jaguar came to my home and tried a couple of things that didn't work but left me with another car and said all should be fixed by Monday. But I was still ok because I just didn't want to think this is what I have to look forward to for the next 6 years. By the next Monday with no fix in sight I spoke with the sales Manager at Bluff City and he said "Greg, this is not suppose to happen and I give you my word. Give us a couple more days and Jaguar and this Dealership will make it right." By Wednesday morning my F-Pace was ready and not only that Jaguar Service Manager Mr. ** have been in contact with me about the vehicle and Corporate has called and provided inconvenience gift for my time spent. Which they didn't have to. I just wanted to be able to show off my New Jag like I did with my 1st Benz.So what am I saying, some things are really unforeseen, had we known it would have happened to us we would have gone in a different direction. This vehicle offers so much more than what I received with Mercedes as far as service plan, stolen vehicle protection for free. No one was trying to sale me any other products once I purchased the F-Pace. I'm still waiting to get my refund off my Benz since it was paid for early and I purchased the extended warranty, Tire and wheel, prepaid maintenance and MBrace. Almost 6K on top of the car. But I did love my Benz. Just wanted to try the new Jag Cars. Bluff City Jaguar see Derrick and Virgil and if you need service see Mr. **! I give them 100 in taking care of Jaguar/Land Rover family members.
