Ford has great salespeople. When they are trying to sell you they are the best cars on the market. But as soon as something goes wrong nothing is covered by the warranty. They had an excuse for everything.

Im having Ford Fiesta 2014 sE. DUE TO RECALL IN CLUTCH I HAVE SET AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY CLUTCH REPLACEMENT FOR TODAY, May 24, 2016 at Edmonton, AB at 91 STREET. But they have not received clutch from USA and asked me to go back for 3rd time. In past the service guys have done the same thing, they called me to service station and then asked me to go back. Do they do communication in between? Or at least notify your customer before they arrived. I have changed my working shift because of them for 3rd time and what I got at the end: nothing. Poor service. Very Upset with the customer service they are offering.

Purchased a 2011 Ford Fiesta SE. After the purchase, I had problems with the transmission. Further research turned up that Ford is well aware of this problem and extended a warranty for 7 years or 100,000 miles to replace the transmission. I purchased the car just AFTER the 7 year mark. Ford has been unwilling to repair this well known problem. How as a company, when you know you have put out a faulty product do you not stand behind it and repair it? This is in excess of $3,000 to repair myself. Additionally, Ford customer service and consumer affairs were rude and not at all helpful. When I called them they told me since it was beyond the 7 years they would not help. I asked for a supervisor and they told me no, that the supervisor was just going to tell me the same thing anyways. I then filed a complaint with the BBB. When Ford called to respond to that, they called from a blocked number and left a quick message, basically saying that they did extend the warranty and its basically my fault I didnt repair it in that time (even though I didnt have the car at that time). They were very rude and left no way for me to call them back to actually speak to them. Horrible car and horrible company! STAY AWAY FROM FORD!!!

I was driving my Ford Escort. When I turned onto Speedway road, a vehicle hit me and sent me spinning onto the side of the road, down the berm and stopping after hitting my head two times. My seat belt didnt lock and the airbags didnt deploy. This left me with a fractured neck (hangman neck fracture). The driver side window was broken and the back windshield was blown out. I ended up being transported by two ambulances to the University Hospital. After getting a brace on my neck, I was transported for the third time to a rehabilitation hospital. I was in the hospital for 15 days. I am still in the brace after 10 weeks and under the care of a neurologist and will be evaluated again next week.

I bought a brand new Mustang GT in the summer of 18. I traded a pristine 14 JKU and a 2003 Corvette in on this car. 2 vehicles I loved very much. The Jeep was still like brand new with almost no miles. Anyway, I bought this Mustang and drove this thing very cautiously hoping a gentle break in would ensure long drivetrain longevity. This car has never even done a burnout. Well, the engine started making a rattling noise like a diesel Around 500 miles. The interior had a random rattle and the transmission would often grind going in to 3rd and 4th as well as being resistant to pull out of 3rd gear. This car zat for a total of 32 days in the few months I owned it. Ford put a new short block in it at 2,000. Basically the car was no longer brand new as the front end was completely disassembled. I asked Ford for an msrp swap and they said no. I asked them to reimburse me the amount of monthly payments in proportion to how long the car zat and they said no because they dont have confidence Ill stay with the brand. I traded 2 fantastic vehicles for this pile of garbage and Ford had no interest in satisfying their customer. I buy a new car every few years and had Ford treated me well they would have had another guaranteed sale from me as I bought my wife a new car in Dec 19. We were going to buy an Explorer. Unfortunately Ill NEVER buy another Ford and I urge you to research the engine/ transmission failures in basically every Ford model in production. Im making it a life mission to share my experience with the general public in hopes that I can prevent them from having the same horrific experience I did. Have a nice day.

First off if I could take away the star I was required to give I would. I own a 2001 Ford Excursion, have wanted one for some time, after purchasing the truck I was completely satisfied with it. But a very short time later I experienced my first spark plug that blew out. Luckily (why I dont know) it didnt take the threads the first time out. Well tonight I have now experienced my total of my third plug blowing out. Money for me does not come easy, and I can assure you the money I spend on a truck will not line the pockets of Ford Motor Company in the future. I know my claim alone is not enough to make a difference, after all its FORD MOTOR COMPANY, one of the if not the largest motor vehicle company in the world. They have all kinds of money. Well they have received the very last dollar from my pocket on anything of their products.Sure they have some nice looking cars/trucks. But that alone is not enough. I have other cars here with half a million miles on them, yes literally half a million miles and not once, not one time ever have they ever blown a plug out of the motor. And for a company the size of Ford to sit and do nothing, well thats just unacceptable to me. I am 100% interested in anyones class action lawsuit that they may put together, and I’ll make sure I spread the word in any forum, car boats or the like about the ongoing problem with FORD MOTOR COMPANY. We live in the age of internet, to have a problem like this and do nothing, well its a time bomb. Sure the company will carry on and probably never hear or see my issues but I can assure you that there are thousands of people that will. Thank you and I apologize to any other ford owners experiencing the same as I have. It just plain sucks. I can be reached **. Thank you for your time.

Before I retired we purchased a new 2014 Ford Edge. At 32,000 miles and 3 years old we had paint bubbling on the passenger side rear door where the door skin is crimped around the door shell. I took it to our local Ford dealership and it was scheduled in the body shop for a repair. Once completed it looked great. However, being a mechanic and building and painting street rods, I feared the corrosion would return. I voiced my concerns and was told the repair was guaranteed. At 39,000 miles and less than a year I returned to the dealership with more corrosion than ever. The dealership took photos and submitted them to Ford who denied any warranty. I contacted Ford and was told it had to have rust holes to be covered. Im so picky with my vehicles. I was furious. This was the first new Ford product I have purchased only because my wife wanted it. I am a 60 year old long time GM man. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER NEW FORD PRODUCT!!!

I purchased a 2015 Ford F-150 Truck this year which the airbag light appear
I purchased a 2015 Ford F-150 Truck this year which the airbag light appeared on the driver’s side of the vehicle. So I took the truck in to Bell Ford for warranty work on September 1, 2015 to fix this problem. The service department determined that they needed to replace the wiring harness inside the truck which involved stripping the entire interior of the vehicle. This meant everything had to come out down to the metal inside dash, seats, console, headliner, carpet, door panels; everything was torn out of my $63,000.00 brand new Ford F150 Platinum Truck!During this process I made calls to the assistant service manager, Mike **, to check on the progress and also to voice my concerns regarding the extent of this repair to my new truck. I was worried about the reassembly because of the drastic solution to this problem. I wanted to ensure that the service techs would efficiently put my truck back together so there were no rattles or other problems created because of this extensive repair. I related to Mike ** that my main concerns were that after the warranty was up that it might have some issues with rattles or malfunctions on anything in the future. Mike ** said if he owned this truck he would be concerned too however he assured me that he had his lead tech working on my truck. Also he stated that his guy was the only one working on my truck because only one guy should tear it apart and put it back together for continuity. On September 17, 2015, I stopped by in person to check on the progress of this repair and discovered that the lead tech was not the one doing the repair it was a young lady that was inside my truck reinstalling all of the parts that were scattered around my truck. I asked Mike ** if this young lady was his lead tech and he replied no however his lead tech was overseeing her work which to me is not what I had originally been told. There was no lead tech or any other tech involved at this time and the young lady inside whose name is Whitney verified that she is the only one that had been working on my truck.I received a call on September 18, 2015 informing me that the truck was ready to be picked up. I discovered after inspecting what I could see that there were many problems with the truck. There were visibly cracked and broken parts reinstalled instead of replaced. I ended up with a punch list of 13 items that were evident to the naked eye therefore who knows what is wrong with what cannot be seen. I took the truck back to the service department that day however they told me to keep it until they received the new parts they had to order that had been ruined during the reassembly process.I delivered the truck back to Bell Ford on September 30, 2015 and during the time between the 18th and the 30th of September I had more issues that surfaced in the dash area that could not have been originally detected until driving the truck for a while. Therefore I determined that this was going to be an ongoing problem and that I was not going to keep this vehicle. So I traded it in because of the distrust and the lying and would never feel confident with this truck in the future.I had a meeting with Lee **, General Manager, and Mike **, Service Manager on October 9, 2015 in which I requested reimbursement for the amount of money I was out for the accessories for the new truck which were items that I had purchased for the F150 truck originally. I gave Lee an itemized list which amounted to $2,063.86. Lee explained that he was leaving for Hawaii the next day (October 10, 2015) and could I give him a couple of weeks to work on a resolution. Lee and Mike apologized for their assistant service manager, Mike ** lying to me about the service repair and that they did not do right by me and were sorry for everything. After Lees return from Hawaii I met with Lee and Mike ** on October 22, 2015 where Lee apologized again profusely for the mistakes and lying regarding this repair. There was some discussion again about the issues and Lee said he was not going to give me $2,063.86 to go away. I got up to leave and said, Okay then I am done and then Lee said, Arent you going to negotiate? And I said, Okay I want $1,999.99, and Lee replied, I will give you $1,000. I said, No I am done and left. In summary Bell Ford admitted to bad service and their employee lying however they are not willing to make it right to my satisfaction. If all the repairs would have been done correctly I would have kept the truck and not been out any money.

I had a 2011 Ford Edge. Vehicle had high miles and I expect things to go wrong over time but this is just STUPID ENGINEERING!!! When the water pump goes on 3.5L engine it leaked coolant into the oil because it is built into the engine. No warning, and water in the oil basically destroyed the engine unless you are fortunate enough to catch it by fluke. If you are proactive and replace the water pump you are looking at 15 hours of shop labor plus parts and but there is no recommendations to do this in any manual. My motor is ruined and I will never buy a Ford again. WHAT A HORRIBLE DESIGN! There are several Ford engines with this design. This is a motor that is designed to fail. Dump your vehicles before this happens to you.

But when they turned me over to customer service lead Amelia **, I tried to call her for 2 weeks to find out what they were going to do. Never did hear back from her. Finally one of the other flunkies called me back and was so rude and short that I could not even talk to her. Now just found out my case is closed without ever hearing from anyone. I volunteered to take any of their families for a drive in my piece of crap car, but no one accepted the offer. Wonder why. Cannot wait to pay this pathetic vehicle down enough to trade it in. Have thought to write reviews before, then decided not for fear of upsetting local dealership who keeps my lesser half on an even keel. The thing is, I just spent the full first day of my vacation trying to make sure my Ford was not going to screw me over on this trip. And this is the 4th or 5th time that the Ford has played a major role on a vacation--as saboteur each time. Have never had a vehicle that actively impacted vacations before. Its like the Ford knows! All I can relate it to, is going on vacation with a passive-aggressive person that you are obligated to take along. Not pleasant.2016 New Ford: Dealership dragged butts getting customizations done, and even though gave weeks of lead time, was left taking loaner vehicle (without all the camping customizations) on the big trip I was excited that Ford was going to make amazing. 2016 First Camping Trip w/ *My* Ford: Had 3,000 miles on it. Camped in middle of nowhere with no cell coverage and no people. Ford blew its engine. Yes. It really did. A passing car relayed my info to the Platinum Plan Roadside Assistance for me (remember, I am left stranded in the forest). Fords roadside assistance apparently told them I was too remote for them to send a tow. So they abandoned me. Left me in forest to die. Totally Benghazid me. But these *strangers* did not. They called around and found a local tow guy who would go out there and get me and my new paper-weight: the Ford. The guy towed me to local dealership some 60 miles away. The Ford dealership could not be bothered on a weekend to get me a rental car, and was located outside of town. Me and dogs had to walk several miles into town and back out when Home Dealership from 200 miles away sent trailer to pick up the Ford. It turns out that each local dealer apparently has own way of handling warranty work and this other dealership did not consider me their problem since I did not buy it there, nor did they have any idea what this Platinum Plan amounted to.2017 Flat Tire In Middle of Nowhere: Could not figure out the surprisingly complicated tire delivery system that had to be assembled and unlocked and operated. So tried calling Ford Roadside Assistance. They had no idea either. Nor could they send a tow truck because it turns out Platinum Plan only good for $100 tow. No worries! I eventually figured it out, just thought could make a quick call and get a minute of help to seed things up but spent an hour getting zero help instead. Made it home tired from expedition, and in dark, also having spent 2 extra hours in the dark getting tire changed.2017 Flat Tire Near Home. Ok, this time I knew how to get tire down. But could not get flat wheel off truck! Had to call tow truck because wheel corrosion welded onto axle courtesy of Ford dissimilar metals causing electrolysis and corrosion. Sure, everyone uses aluminum wheels. Yet Ford is only one that wheel simply would not come off for me. I tried kicking it and almost broke foot. Tried prying it and damaged wheel. By the way, Ford Platinum Plan Roadside Assistance insisted I was over 60 miles away from my home or some such and so refused to tow me there (too far). However, the person was unable to make sense of where I was and could not even find me on map--so no idea how she knew the distance. At any rate, having lived here for 20 years, I assured her I was only 10 miles from house but she refused or could not override what the system that did not know where I was at was telling her for the distance. I called the roadside assistance that came with my car insurance and they sent a tow truck... to change the tire. The tow guy had to get under truck that was up on jack and pound on wheel with 5lb hammer. He suggested I carry 5lb hammer, block of wood, and some extra jack stands to make truck somewhat safer for crawling under it and pounding.2018 Flat Tire. Tried loosening lugs but lug wrench would not fit them?!? Had it been swapped at dealership? So made calls around neighborhood (over a few miles, I live in the country) and found one with a star wrench. Went and got it. Jacked up truck and wheel would not come off again. Tried pounding on it but had not invested in 5lb hammer yet. Presumed kicking it would not work. Did not bother with Fords POS Platinum Plan Roadside Assistance. Called the roadside assistance I got separately through my car insurance. They sent a tow truck. To change the tire. That guy was big and he gave the wheel a hard kick and it came loose. I am an AARP member and suspect I would have broken my foot. At any rate, got wheel swapped out. Next day I spent entire first day of my vacation on the Ford. It was a 70 mile round trip to take it to dealership to get patched. They could not he bothered and so it would take several hours for them to do it. I made a day of it and did some exploring to another town and left some lovely painted memorial rocks at a spot that was special to my departed ex. Rather than preparing for trip. Then I went to house, got the star and returned it to neighbor. Then rested a couple hours and went back to town to get patched spare. I took the truck. Here is where it gets extra interesting.I had them rotate all the tires so if I need to change a flat they will be temporarily broken loose. IF YOU HAVE A FORD TRUCK, do this before any expedition. Regarding the lug wrench, that turns out to be another issue with Ford materials and engineering (like with the dissimilar metals and no coating/treatment to prevent corrosion welds). The lug nuts *swell*. Thats right. Ford makes their lug nuts out of some high-tech passive-aggressive living metal that can sense a vacation and swell by a couple millimeters, rendering it impossible to remove them with the factory lug wrench!?! Who knew??? I did not. No, you cannot hammer wrench onto lug. I tried that. These things *really swell*. You have to get a 22mm wrench to fit on the 21mm lugs. You have to go buy a new wrench. IF YOU ARE A FORD TRUCK OWNER buy a new lug wrench after a year or so, or it may simply be impossible to change a tire on your expedition and you could die in the wilderness from a flat tire. So both the corrosion weld and the swollen nuts issues are known by Ford. In googling, there have even been lawsuits! Yet, here we still are.To wrap up this review, will say that back in the day, IBM had a list of priorities go meet when rolling out a new product whether it was a storage medium or a mainframe. Number 1 priority? Do the customer no harm. Customer safety was #1 priority. They did not want you to even cut your finger on a sharp edge. But Ford seems to think it is no big deal if you--surprise!--cant change your tire ‘cause their magical nuts swelled. Well they have not traveled with me.Back in the day I drove all through Mexico and Central America. I was careful in choosing my rigs for the expedition: Nissan pickup (with *3* spare tires--I went through *all* of them), BMW motorcycle. They both served me well, had zero problems other than tires. One flat was in the dangerous Peten region of Guatemala. The military had been hunting down and killing armed highwaymen in the area right when I was passing through. I got a flat!!! On the Nissan, it took 5 minutes to swap that ** out and be on my way. Thank you God I did not take a Ford Truck. IF YOU ARE A FORD TRUCK OWNER do not take it on any expedition where your life could be at risk from a breakdown. My experience is that they (based, admittedly, on only one ownership experience) simply are not reliable and trustworthy enough for that use. Use them as you would a Mini Cooper, for fun jaunts around town--except you can haul/tow stuff with the Ford! Not for an expedition, where lives are on the line and there is no safety net. Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, *Honduras*--even parts of Mexico? The magic lug nuts surprise would have almost surely cost me my life. Still might.Look, Im older now. Have had spinal surgeries and such. Really do not need to be under a truck raised up on a jack, pounding on wheel w/ 5lb hammer. Just might end up pinned under truck. So... if that happens and I am found dead in middle of nowhere under my hateful passive-aggressive Ford? Please someone sue the crap out of Ford for me, in my memory.

This is a letter from one of your first-time customers. In the grand scale I mean very little to your company as far as your bottom line. I am one of the millions that pay you every month and understand that with a corporate company like yourselves I don’t really have any pull in the service relationship we have. However, I believe it is therapeutic to encapsulate this experience I have had with you, and also to caution others who may want to purchase a FORD vehicle in the future. I don’t believe in getting something for nothing. I do believe in fair and honest treatment and that’s where you have failed Ford.I leased my FORD Eco Sport 2018 in January 2018. Unfortunately, I was in an accident in late February 2018. Nothing huge just a fender bender but as I write this, it is September 13th, 2018 and I still don’t have my car back from the shop. You see you sold a vehicle that had no parts ready for it because they are made in India. (I’m not really sure if the location is to blame but that’s just what I have been told.) You take no responsibility for that, and believe that while it is unfortunate it is also not something you have any plan of action for or will do anything about. I have called, emailed, Facebooked, tweeted, and hoped for someone to help me and yet still there is nothing you “can” or will do. I have now not had a car for months while still paying my lease agreement. You wouldn’t even lend me a rental, so I had to pay for my own. $778.00 and one month later and I have just decided to be carless. I am 30 years old and I have a family. I have a 90-year-old grandfather I take to the doctors and shop for so Ive had to rely on friends and neighbours to go everywhere. I must Uber to and from work every day because I must make sure I can pay my ford credit bill this month for a car I haven’t seen in a half a year. I have spoken to two dealerships and they tell me stories about all their customers who are waiting on parts for the Eco Sport with no answers or timelines. How discouraging is this? My first new car and all I feel after this whole experience is abandoned and forgotten buy a company who made about 7.6 billion dollars last year off the very people they won’t help.I have called your customer service line; whose sole purpose is to never actually help anyone but rather read the same four lines of script sent down from some corporate manual to ensure that: A. Ford never has to help anyone. B. To make sure that the customer is so defeated and frustrated by the end of the call you won’t want to call back. On that front Ford I say that you have succeeded. As I have been doing some digging to see who else I could call I have seen thousands of terrible reviews about everything this letter is about and clearly no one cares. There should be a support group for every customer you have let down because honestly its outright abusive at this point. My family has always owned FORDS. Generation after generation it is the only car we buy, and after this whole experience I don’t see myself being a FORD customer in the future. Even though I feel very defeated by this whole situation I am still hoping that someone will read this and have a little heart to understand that I am only looking for what is fair, for a paying customer and what is right for a customer who has valued FORD their entire life.

Last night, I spent the night at my boyfriends. I was awakened to the sound of an alarm and people screaming. I looked out the window and his Ford 1995 F150 was blazing. There were flames and black smoke and the smell of rubber. He was working and so, after calling the fire department, I called him. The truck had been sitting in the parking lot for three days and this night was the coldest night of the week and it was raining. I was thinking that someone set the truck on fire but, after reading the information on this site, I am shocked and amazed. My mom bought this truck from a dealership about ten years ago and it was well maintained. Apparently, that means nothing and filing any paperwork with Ford would be useless. This really sucks. We will never buy another Ford ever!

After my Ford Expedition caught fire in the parking lots while sitting overnight, I took it to the dealership under a recall I found out about when I called them. They have had my car 3 days and they just called to tell me they did the 2 recalls but nothing is working that was damaged by the fire (brake lights, turn signals, hazard lights) and that would be my responsibility!

I purchased a truck at the Ford dealership in Baton Rouge a 2012. And this vehicle along with newer models dont come with fuel caps. I have contacted the parts department about getting a fuel plug because someone could easily put something in the tank and ruin the engine. He rudely said, Well I think the person who put the stuff in the fuel tank is responsible not Ford. Well I think if you buy a 20,000 dollar or more vehicle from Ford you should at least be able to get a gas cap. I wont be buying another vehicle like this and I will let the thousand of people I work with know how Ford is too cheap to put a fuel cap on its trucks and they want everybody who buys a truck to buy their own cap. Something needs to be done about this. I will not purchase a fuel cap from Ford. It should have came with the truck. If something happens to my truck I will get an attorney and take this up the manufacturer. This is asinine. You spend thousands of your hard earned money with this people and they cant give you a gas cap. I bet Chevy has gas caps on their trucks. Somebody needs to send me a fuel cap for this truck. I am pissed these trucks have no fuel cap or Ford does not provide one. I will make sure I tell everyone I see about this. Hopefully Ford will start putting on caps when they lose enough sales. This sucks.

I was going about 15 miles per hour after taking off from a stoplight. The truck started bucking and I could hear a popping sound from the engine. I pulled over and opened the hood and noticed the COP vibrating loose. I drove it 3 miles to the dealer. I opened the hood again and the COP was completely broken off. This was the second time this happened. Ford will not pay or own up to it because they have since fixed the issue in newer vehicles. They are waiting for these to be phased out so they can save money by turning their back on the customers. I am a US soldier and its sad that I defend such spineless cowards!

While driving down a 4-lane Expressway, my 2011 Ford Edge accelerator pedal stopped responding. The car did not lose all power, the accelerator just went dead. The car was idling very roughly, but when I pressed on the accelerator pedal nothing happened. There was no shoulder on the road so I had to stop in the middle of the road! I am SO lucky that no one rear-ended me before I was able to maneuver off the road. I turned off the car and waited a minute or two and turned the car back on. The accelerator was working so I headed home. The car went limp two more times before I arrived home a couple of miles down the road. The next day my husband followed me to the dealership with his emergency flashers on. My Edge went limp twice on the way to the dealership. The mechanic was familiar with the problem and diagnosed a bad Throttle Body. It was replaced for about $650.00 and the car runs fine now. This problem is common and needs to be addressed before someone is killed! I thank my lucky stars that this didnt happen on a busy interstate.

This is the second Ford Edge that we have owned and we really like the vehicle. It gets fairly good gas mileage for its size and is very comfortable and nice looking. We had both vehicles well past the warranty and found it to be very stable. No major repairs and only typical maintenance. We love the GPS and the two moon roofs. The area in the back will hold large items and is easy to push a button and lower the back seats to make even more room. The body style is very sharp and I love the heated seats. But the first Edge had a problem with the rear view window and I felt like I couldnt see as well as I should be able to. But the next one we bought had a little condensed mirror attached to the rear view mirror that enables me to see a wider area. We are very pleased.

The Ford warranty expired 1 month ago. Ford has declined to stand behind their products and will not pay any of the repair. I have contacted Ford Customer Care and they just tell me its out of warranty. They made a case #, denied the case, and didnt even tell me. Their customer service is extremely poor. When I call, I fight through several automated prompts, usually get transferred a couple of times and battle a communication barrier with the reps. This will be the last Ford we purchase!

I bought a Fiesta at N1 City Ford in March 2016. I was happy with the vehicle up until December, when the aircon system of my car stopped working. It basically just started blowing off hot air instead of cold. I took it to the Ford in Claremont but was told that I have to come back in Jan 2017 because their workshop had closed of the December break. In Jan 2017 I then took it Ford Tygervalley which was the closest Dealership to where I lived. Basically, they couldnt help me either. They told me that they had to regas the aircon, (which they did). Strange how a brand new car less than a year would need this done, but anyway, I took the vehicle, but about a few weeks later, I noticed that the problem, was actually not fixed at all. I then decided to take it to N1 City Ford, since thats where I bought the vehicle. The first time I was there, they basically told me that there was no problem with the aircon, and this was diagnosed by simply idling the car and then turning the aircon on. I came back to them a few days later and then the car was booked in to be checked. I was told that the aircon controller has to be replaced, which would cost the warranty about R13 000. This was then DONE, I was given back the vehicle and told that all is sorted. After just a few days, I went back with the same problem. All that was done again on this day was to idle the car and turn the aircon on. I was told it works and made to feel the air coming out which was cold. I told the service consultant that the aircon is cold only when the car is idling and not when its on the road. I then went back to them AGAIN WITH THE SAME PROBLEM, and this time, I insisted that they take the car for a drive, and feel it for themselves. It was taken, driven around the block AND FINALLY AFTER MORE THAN 4 MONTHS, they admitted that the aircon does not work. Had to book the car in YET ANOTHER TIME. By this time, the date was 25 April 2017. Until today, the problem is not fixed, and I have a car sitting at the dealership, yet I am paying installments every single month without fail. The service has been anything but great for me. They insist I take the car back, up until the ordered parts are available. I have refused this, simply because the car is not fixed, and this is not what I contracted with Ford for. They dont want give me a car in the interim, AND I AM INCONVENIENCED.I am extremely disappointed with Ford, and their lack of customer satisfaction. It has been OVER 4 months, and I have had to suffer through the whole of summer, and drive a car with no aircon. I have been more than patient with them, but still the problem is not solved. I dont have a car, yet I am paying for one, and I AM NOT SATISFIED AT ALL.

We drove a very short way to our local tractor supply company to pick up feed. I was in the store for about 15 minutes. When I got to the register someone said, Theres a truck on fire in the parking lot! The fire had just started. It was up in flames and burnt to a crisp in less than ten minutes. Flames shot 20 feet up in the air and it melted the pavement under the truck. We would have been dead if it had happened twenty minutes sooner. The fire department made it in good time, but the truck was already totaled. Everything in the cab was ruined, including all three childrens car seats. Thankful I have comprehensive insurance. Its a total loss. I have no truck. >:-o Up until this point, this truck ran like a top and was very reliable.

I bought it new from a Ford dealership and they were amazing and answered all of our questions. My daughter fell in love with the car at the dealership and I felt she would be safe driving it. I also purchased a bumper to bumper warranty and I have never had to use it even once. I really love the car. However, it doesnt have much power to get up and go. The only thing that could make it better is if it had a built in GPS and if the price was cheaper.

I own a Transit full-size van T350 built 5/2015 used for business. After 38000 miles the left rear axle seal failed and was replaced 11/30/16. One day later the hole axle seized after just 50 miles. After the warranty repair. It took to January 10/2017 to rebuild the rear axle (no parts available!!!) and to get the van back from the Dealer (Ford of Clermont, FL). Since then the van is creating a loud howling noise between 50 and 60 mph and a loud deep vibration noise over 70 mph. Four more attempts to repair/adjust. Did not fix the issue. Since 12/1/2016 the van spent over 100 days in the workshop trying to fix the rear axle under warranty without success. Since 4 weeks my dealer tries to get in touch with a Ford engineer to assess the issue. Without success. In the meantime the right axle seal failed and spilled all the oil on the road. In addition to the incompetence of the dealership Ford Customer Service is at no service for a customer who has a more complex issue than an oil change. I called Ford customer service several times but all they do is to get you in touch with the dealers management. Ford Customer Service is only set up to make you feel good and to mediate between dealer and customer. I feel that my only option now is to sue the dealer and Ford to get this faulty rear axle replaced.

As a daily driver, it takes a bite out of your wallet for gas money, but that more than pays for itself in the compliments you will receive while filling up at the pump. The bench front seats remove the barrier between you and your passengers and make you feel even closer, while the expansive windshield and minimalist doorframes make it feel like youre driving in a moving clear glass box. Ford Fusion 2011 - In July 2015, I experienced a problem with the throttle body on my car when I was en route the train station to catch Amtrak to New York. The car failed a mile from the train station due the throttle body issue and I was forced to jump on a bus to make my train. The car was serviced and repaired by Koons Ford. In January 2016, I began to hear a whining noise when I drove the car in cold weather. I looked up online that there was a service bulletin regarding this problem. I took the car to Lindsay Ford on January 14th. By January 18th, Lindsay still had not pulled the car into shop on January 18th so I decided to retrieve the car and take it back to Koons. I took the care back to Lindsay since they were close to public transportation. I had negative experience at the dealer when I first purchased the car and should have known not to go back. Koons by far is a much better dealer for service. The car was taken to Koons on February 12th. Koons after checking the bulletin determined that it was not applicable to my car. The bulletin, 11-2-14, build date was only up Aug. 13, 2010 and my car was built Aug 31, 2010. After diagnosis, the tech concluded that the noise was due to the transfer case. The cost of repair is estimated at $2235.19. I was further advised that repair would be covered under warranty but that my warranty expired January 5th, 2016.I wrote Ford to see if Ford would extend goodwill coverage for this repair given my service history with Ford and the low mileage, 42K, on the car. This request would have been submitted sooner if it were not for the debacle with Lindsay. My plan with the Fusion is to give it to daughter when she goes to college this fall and buy a new hybrid Ford. Ford denied my claim. As a result, I sold my stock and bought GM and I will never buy a Ford. Bad customer service cost them a shareholder and customer.

Just like everyone else here, I had a front spring (passengers side) on my 2002 Ford Taurus break and puncture my tire at a cost of $434, plus $103 for the tire. Being a former Ford dealership parts department manager, I know that there was a Field Service Action (recall) that did not involve the company actually calling the vehicles in to have the springs replaced, but provided extended warranty coverage for vehicles that experienced problems. I personally sold over 300 pairs of springs during the last year I worked. My vehicle no longer had coverage, like many of yours, apparently because either the vehicle was too old or had too many miles. Id give zero stars if that was possible. Back story: never owned US made car. Drove just about every brand of Japanese car out there since 83, with no major complaints. I decided perhaps it was time to give a US company a try and my research suggested Ford the best of them. I got a new Explorer. Explorer seemed like a solid vehicle until at 20k miles it started to suffer some mysterious electrical problem, the worst of which manifests itself by hitting the gas pedal and nothing happens. The revs are there, its just nada between transmission and the engine. It can last a few seconds to a few minutes and when it does finally engage, the car leaps forward similar to what happens when you drop the clutch hard on a manual car.Other things are rear view cam coming on when going forward, cruise control shutting off for no reason etc. Worst, and potentially dangerous is the dead motor thing. Left me dead in the water in an intersection the other day. Brought it to Ford service three times now. First two times, being (apparently) an electrical issue, and an intermittent one at that, of course they couldnt reproduce the problem or fix it. Third time was the charm as I walked the tech out and it did it for him in person, so he confirmed it and said he thought it was electrical vs. a transmission issue. Once they got it in the shop, you guessed it, they could not reproduce it, and no fix.Now Im getting pissed. Many phone calls, etc. later to Ford corporate, them generally doing jack** to help me, etc., they then ask me to bring it in for a 4th time! I said I would, if they would at least tell me what they would happen after #4 visit and no fix: replace the car, let me out of the lease, etc. if after #4 if was not fixed. Their response was we will evaluate that afterward in a good faith review I responded, So if after #4 and nothing is fixed, we go onto #5? They ignored the Q. Seemed pretty reasonable request to me...Hence a total non answer and yet, I should bring it in for #4 with zero commitment from them, so at that point I declined knowing it was a waste of time and all they are doing is trying to wear me down and give up. I have 7 months left on the lease. So, it appears Im stuck with Ford until the lease run out (which is me paying for a defective car), pay the lease off and walk, which is me throwing $ in the toilet on a defective car. And Ford was supposed to be the most reliable of US brands. No wonder we continue to lose market share to the Japanese, etc.

2015 Fusion Energi Titanium - During the entire sales process, I had sales staff and service staff would lie to make sure the sale went through. After I bought the vehicle, I found damage on several parts of the vehicle and they stated they would take care of it. I came back to have the vehicle fixed before they put on a sealant coat on exterior and interior that I paid extra for at time of sale. I came back after the service person James called me and told me it was perfect with all damage gone. I needed to call the auto shop to have status updates on my vehicle. ** would give answers with no basis in fact and every communication he would change the times/days when the vehicle would be ready. The vehicle will be going back in four weeks to have the sealant replied post vehicle paint curing. I have had nothing but problems with the Future Ford Roseville dealership. The problem is I am 500 miles away from the dealership and I cannot show up in person. Every time I try to contact people, I have the I will call you back or have that person call you and I have waited more than four business days on multiple occasions for a response. I traded in a vehicle and they took and additional four days to get in touch with VW Credit to find out the pay off amount. I have waited now seven days for financing to talk with me at the dealership. I have left voicemails daily on work phones and personal cell phones with still no response. I need help!!!!They offered me $100 to call the damage fine with a gouge going through all layers of paint. They even told me they would take care of me if I put in perfect scores on the surveys. I am offended at the $100 to go away and asking me to falsify records to make the dealership look good in Fords eyes. Then having the gall to say they will take care of me if I lie as they have constantly lied to me. I need someone from Ford Corporate to investigate my allegations to find the truth of the matter. They are willing to refuse to contact me when I need help and are more than willing to constantly, lie to me. I even asked to return the car in the first 200 miles/48 hours and I would wait for another car to come in that was not damaged. I just want a new car and want to enjoy my new car. At the beginning of June I was lucky enough to notice that one of my doors was not closing before I left my parking spot. I had the car towed in to a Ford service center and was expecting it to have it fixed within a couple of days. I mean it is just a door latch (which they made out of PLASTIC by the way). After a few days of waiting I find out that they want to hold onto the car until at least September, for some reason they dont have this simple part anywhere in stock. Thats at least 3 MONTHS without a car that I am paying monthly and they are offering some rental car reimbursement for a small compact car which is only about $30 a day and I think the cheapest rental car is $35, nowhere near the value of the car I am leasing from them. If it was only for a week or two then I would have no problem with that. I have called them numerous times in order to work something out, maybe get the same value car rental compared to the one I am leasing, but they dont want to do anything. The customer means NOTHING to this company. You are absolutely 0 to them. As long as they are getting money from you they dont care how you are being inconvenienced.I had the pleasure of speaking to the regional manager of Ford in NY and she was utterly useless. The first time she called she couldnt even locate the car after I gave her the VIN and the dealership where the car is located. The second time she called she basically told me she cant do anything using her resources, another word I heard thrown around while on the phone with them. Its like they work on favors. She made it sound like I should feel privileged that they are even offering me a rental in the first place. She told me that the dealer can use their resources, again this word, and try to get the part faster or something. They are basically making me call everyone for them instead of them solving the issue. Its not my job do that, its theirs. Its the reason why they get paid. In my opinion this person gets paid for no reason and her job should be given to someone else that can actually help the customer. So to review: stuck 3 months without a car I am paying for, Ford is offering a partial reimbursement for a rental, Ford regional manager is useless (she does anything but manage). I will never in my life consider buying/leasing a Ford product again (including Lincoln).

It now has a message on the dashboard and says Power Steering Assist Fault and Advance Service Track. I researched and Ford has a recall on the same make, model and year but Ford says that my VIN number is not on the recall even my car is doing the same, exact thing and the power steering has failed. They are trying to charge me the diagnostic fee and refuse to fix my car even though there is a recall on this make, model and year. I need someones assistance! This is a danger to me and my family while driving. I do not have the funds to fix the vehicle. The part alone is $1,200 plus the labor. Ford Motor Company should be ashamed of themselves. Many other individuals have gotten in accidents because of this problem. They have totaled their vehicles and gotten hurt. Why cant Ford do the right thing and fix my vehicle? I am using all resources to announce this problem. I am so outraged and disappointed in Ford Motor Company. I am putting it out there to everyone not to ever buy a Ford and how they do not care about the lives and families who own their vehicle, and all of the recalls that they have on many different Ford vehicles. How can you have a recall on a vehicle and say that my VIN is not under the recall when it has the same, exact problem?? It is disgusting that this company can get away with this!!

I love the Ford Edge Sport. It runs so smooth and quiet, feels like it has power and is very well designed for room and comfort. I feel, for the money, we got what most would want in a car, and even more. We have had it now for 3 years and never a problem with it so far.

Friday, May 1, 2015 approximately 4:30 am - I woke up to someone pounding on my front door yelling, your truck is on fire! Sure enough, there it was engulfed in flames. The fire department arrived about 4:45 am and put it out. I parked it the previous night around 9:30 pm. Truck: 2001 Ford Lariat, crew cab. Thanks.

In July 2014 I received a letter of a Recall on my vehicle regarding the Torque Sensor and Steering Column going out. I took it in to the Dealership where they did whatever they were suppose to do (I assume), though it only took them approx. 5 to 10 mins. At that time I was not having any issues with my vehicle. Speed up now to March 2016, I started having issues with my steering wheel vibrating and moving back and forth and my vehicle making odd noises. I took it in to the same dealership to be checked, they did a diagnostic test and told me my Torque Sensor/steering column were going out. I had them do the repairs. That evening after I okayd the repairs I found the Recall Letter which was in regards to the issue I was having now with my vehicle. I told Steve in the Service Dept and he called Ford Motors to see if my vehicle was covered for the Parts and Labor as the Recall letter stated, he was told No. I also called Ford Motors and was told No that the Recall had expired. In the Recall letter it states that Alternatively, the dealer may need to replace the torque sensor or the steering column. This service will be performed free of charge (parts and labor). I find Ford Motors to be very dishonest and they dont care about their customers safety. They obviously knew of the faulty parts in my vehicle, hence the Recall Letter I received. I did take it in to the dealership when I received that notice. Again at the time of the Recall my vehicle was fine, a little over a year and a half later I end up with the exact issue of that Recall. I feel Ford Motors Company should cover these charges and reimburse me. I have also emailed Ford Motors and received the same response No that the Recall has expired, and after the first 12,000 the warranty is no good. They should cover these parts.

I got my car serviced at a dealership and soon after all the engine oil leaked out. The check engine oil light came on. I called the dealership and they said I have Fords roadside assistance so Im covered. However you are only covered up to $100. The catch is Ford will hire a third party vendor to tow or work on your car, in my case, a tow truck. Even though the car had to be towed just $25 miles, the vendor asked for $250+ and Ford obliged. So I was on the hook for $150. Needless to say the entire process is super tedious and infuriating. Most of the service reps behave as if they are doing you a favor by just talking you. Don’t fall for this “service”.

I received a safety recall notice 11S25/NHTSA Recall 12V-006 indicating problems with the splines in the torque converter and instructions to contact dealer for repair if vehicle loses forward and reverse power before Ford has parts to fix the problem. The letter stated that parts are not currently available and are anticipated to be available in the 2nd Quarter of 2012 and replacement of the torque converter will be free of charge (parts and labor). On 5/4/12, I lost acceleration on my 2005 Freestar (VIN **) and I towed it 30 miles back home. After contacting service manager, **, at Valley Ford Lincoln dealership, I towed my van there for repairs on 5/7/12. The service manager called after inspection to tell me that my transmission break down had nothing to do with the recall part. He quoted me $1,500 to break it down to determine the needed repair and further cost to repair it. I then had it towed to Century Transmission (421 E St, Lemoore, CA 93245; 559-925-8853) where it was repaired for the cost of $2,091. The owner, Raul, informed me that the torque converter had worn splines and was indeed the needed repair. The receipt and part were taken back to service manager, who consulted his technician, **. Upon inspecting the part, technician stated that the part was shot and that the repair cost was not bad and that they would have charged at least that much. The service manager said he would use my receipt to see if I could get some if any of my money back. When the owner, Jack Keller, was contacted, he indicated that I would not get reimbursed for the repair because I should have had it towed back to Ford for repair even though I was told it was not the covered part. In addition to not trusting Ford to be honest at that point, it would have been my 4th tow and I would still have owed Century for labor. I have the original receipt and the removed torque converter in my possession for needed inspection and proof that the splines are worn and the torque converter is bad. I would like to be reimbursed for the cost of repair to my transmission ($2,091).

I am very disappointed with the quality of the Ford edge car. I bought this car in Dec 2012 and it had 3 years free service and warranty. During the past 2.5 years the car has refused to start twice at crucial times and had to be sent to the workshop. I was told that the battery was faulty and it was replaced 2 times. On 1 occasion the car cooling hose burst in the middle of peak hour traffic on Sheikh Zayed road. I had to call a tow truck and sent to workshop. I got the car additional 2 years 20k km free servicing by paying over AED 3000 however as soon as the 60k km warranty was over the car started to miss engine beats and stopped in mid traffic many times. Again at the workshop I was billed for AED 1320 for labour and replacement of spark plugs and catalytic cleaning. Now the workshop has informed me that the battery needs to be replaced again 3rd time and I will have to pay for this. Any other competitors car would not have given me so much problem seeing that till date it is driven locally in Dubai only 68k km and is 2.5 years old. Very poor quality not expected from FORD.

I manage and run F-450 & F-550 trucks in extremely harsh environments. I can tell you for absolute certainty that if you maintain these trucks according and utilize the V10 gas engines you will get a very long life put of this piece of equipment. The number of fools that feel they need a diesel truck is shocking. I have extensive fleet Management experience and can assure you that for most of you buying a diesel is not a good idea. The modern emissions standards put on diesel engines ensures poor reliably and efficiency in comparison to the gas engines. For you sensible folks that want a durable and reliable machine, the V10 engine is all that you can ask for, just remember these are work trucks not mini vans.

I bought a 2015 Mustang EcoBoost Premium Convertible from a Ford dealership
I bought a 2015 Mustang EcoBoost Premium Convertible from a Ford dealership. I was very happy with my purchase initially. A year later, 1 week before my warranty ended, I got A/C and seat heating/cooling issues. I took my vehicle to a Ford service and they were super helpful in the beginning. They told me all my issues were covered under the certified pre-owned warranty and they even gave me a rental for $2/day because I had premium vehicle benefits. They also said there was a nail in one of my tires and they would patch that up for $35 and the rest would be a $100 deductible. They put me on a Lyft for free and I got my rental from Enterprise. I only paid for insurance. It was too good to be true! The day my vehicle was supposed to be ready I got a call from the service center. They told me they fixed the A/C but the seat heating/cooling would be $750!!! When I asked why, they told me there was something syrupy in the electrical system under the car and a soda can probably exploded inside the vehicle! I swear to God thats what the guy said. Of course, this is completely BS. I mean I would have to clean the entire interior of the vehicle if something like that happened. There were no stains anywhere inside my vehicle and this guy had the audacity to suggest that a soda can EXPLODED in my vehicle and it magically only got in the electrical system under the seat. Needless to say, I was really pissed at this petty attempt to charge me an extra $750 and I contacted Ford customer service to deliver my complaint. They basically replied me with an automated message saying how they understand my frustration but they fully support the dealerships decision. Long story short, I am not saying never buy from Ford but just be aware that in their core they are a company that puts making money over their customer service and they will milk every penny out of you if they can. There are better car companies out there folks. I know that I will never ever buy a Ford again but if you do choose to risk your money you have been warned and its on you now.

Recently my car was smelling like gas, so we pulled it out of the garage for a day not sure if that was actually the problem. Again after leaving it in the garage over night the smell was very strong of gasoline. We took it to a shop right up the street thinking that maybe it was a gas filter issue but once they lifted the car up it was clear that there was a gas leak at seam or the half full level as described by the automotive technician. We were referred to the Ford dealer. We called the dealer who informed us that there was a recall on the gas tank for this vehicle and to bring the car in. I paid over 80 dollars to have the car towed to Avis Ford in Southfield, Mi. from Belleville, Mi. Only to be told that there was a mistake and that the 2009 Edge was not included in the recall. After doing further research I have found that many Ford models from 2007-2014 have had gas tank leak issues. Manufacturer related not customer related damage to the tank. It frightens me to think that something as important as the gas tank should EVER leak because of manufacturer NEGLIGENCE and then when addressed with the dealer, the same dealer that my family has purchased 6 cars from that I would be told it wasnt covered. So when does the recall actually go into effect on a car/part? Does it take us dying or being seriously injured to create a recall on something as serious as a gas tank? I travel with an infant in my backseat 5 days per week and cannot imagine a gas related fire in my car with a baby in a 5 point restraint car seat and being able to get them out safely in an event such as that. I have always purchased my vehicles based on safety ratings first, but I guess the Ford built Edge is a hoax for customers like me.Prior to todays car problems, I had my car into Avis Ford several times for transmissions problems. Gear slippage within the first year of ownership and continuously over the years. They could never find anything wrong with it. The problem got so bad that I took the car to Precision Tune on 8 mile where the Master Mechanic said my transmission was bad, the fluid inside was black and take it to the dealer and I would need a new transmission. I went to the dealer and my car was still under warranty. I showed them the Info from the shop I had just came from. They kept the car a few days, said it was just a leak. They repaired the so called leak and said I did not need a new transmission.Few months pass and I return to the dealer with the same issues and I am no longer under the warranty. Im then given an estimate of $4600.00 worth of transmission related work. I feel like Ive been sold a $ 40,000.00 LEMON and only have 60,000 miles on it. Sadly I will never buy another vehicle from Avis Ford nor suggest anyone I know to either. I have decided to notify the BBB, the NTSB and whatever agencies govern these issues.

The automobile is a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria Police Intercepter with a 4.6 liter engine with aluminum heads. While traveling down a very long hill at 60 mph, I heard an explosion and then a much louder engine noise. Upon investigation, found a spark plug sitting on top the engine and coil broken completely from the mounting screw. I began a massive rabbit trail into the cause of the failure and the various repair methods. It appears this is a universal failure due to a faulty engineering design that resulted in only a few aluminum threads holding in a steel spark plug. The aluminum is over stressed and fractures from the enormous repetitive shock on the scant threads that hold back all the pressure cycles. I believe that the cover up goes all the way back to the first year or two. The dealership mechanics must be ordered to claim they have never heard of this problem, because all the non-dealer mechanics all know about it. Hundreds, if not thousands of victims to this dangerous design flaw are suddenly stranded or left in life threatening situations such as an engine on fire, stuck in the winter or desert heat. The factory requires a head replacement. There are cheap tap and helo type springs to make a temporary repair, but a kit such as Calvan 38900 or an ATD 5400 Triton kit for $250 can possibly make a semi permanent repair, if you have air tools, cylinder blow out and inspection tools, and know how to lower the cylinder and close the valves before the procedure. So I got a chase tap, it cleaned the threads but the spark plugs still will not go into the engine head. Since this is an enormous problem for consumer and for Ford, a compromise should be for the Ford Manufacturing Company to at least pay for the job to remove all the plugs, install the ATD 5401s in each cylinder professionally, after first blowing all the shavings out of the cylinder after the drilling and tapping the new oversize threads. I personally am older and in disability and am in a bad situation. Do I invest in the tools and kit ($800 or so) or do I just look for a Toyota or other quality car to replace the Ford junk? In any case, Ford Motor Company should recall all the aluminum blocks with this serious defect. They had full knowledge and could have recalled within a couple of years, but instead chose to cover it up. Now we the people are supposed to foot the bill? Replace my heads with ones that cant blow out spark plugs or replace the engine with steel heads.

My husband purchased a brand new 2014 Super Duty 250 diesel in July of 2014. He works his truck here in Alberta, Canada. He arrived at work on Jan. 7, 2015. He backed into a parking spot. He left his truck running beside the building like he does every morning. He went in the building, started coffee and then started his paper work. About 15 mins. later his boss walks in, they talk about work. About another 15 minutes later, my husband then ask his boss if he hears a horn. It was a continuous horn. As he is standing to look, another employee walks in and told my husband his truck is burning down. He runs outside to see his truck on fire and windows exploding out of the truck! The fire fighter on scene deemed no foul play. My children rode in this vehicle! This all happened with in a matter of a half hour! He was also in to Ford a few weeks earlier about his engine smelling hot and a strange ticking. Unfortunately, there was NO work order wrote up!

I have been a Ford Customer for over 30 years and I will NEVER buy another Ford. Ford refuses to cover the corrosion that is spreading on the hood of my 2014 Explorer. Now the paint is starting to chip off as well. Ford is well aware of this issue with several Ford models and will NOT do anything about it. (The local Ford Body Shop Manager told me so.) The issue is due to inadequate prep work before painting the vehicle. I have been going back and forth with Ford for over 6 months. I even sent a letter to the Ford Board of Directors. Ford simply does NOT care. FORD DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES!At first Ford tried to say that the warranty is 3/36000 miles, but later admitted that the warranty is actually 5 years/unlimited miles. Then they stated: Corrosion Warranty covers body sheet metal panels against corrosion due to a defect in factory supplied materials or workmanship. Corrosion coverage only applies if the corrosion causes perforation (holes) in body sheet metal panels. Corrosion Warranty coverage begins at the warranty start date and lasts for five years, regardless of miles drive. This is a defect in factory workmanship!

My 2015 Ford Taurus Limited has left me stranded 4 times since I purchased
My 2015 Ford Taurus Limited has left me stranded 4 times since I purchased the vehicle. The problem seems to be with the fuel pump module, which has now been replaced 3 times in less than 3 months. The reason I am complaining is because of Ford customer service. I reached out to them on 9/26/2016 at 10:33 AM, and I was told that a regional customer service manager would contact me in 1 day. It is currently 11:13 AM on 9/28, and I havent heard from anyone. First of all, I have been without a vehicle for 4 of the last 6 days which affects my job, family, income, and personal responsibilities. There seems to be no sense of urgency for Ford and its customer service department to help me. I currently own 3 Ford vehicles, but I feel as that means nothing to them, and they could care less that I am a loyal customer. I feel that Ford needs to step up and take some responsibility and do right to me by compensating me for the missed income and expenses that have occurred due to this faulty vehicle. I have rented cars because of being stranded, and last week spent the night in a parking garage in downtown Chicago in my car with my family due to the failed vehicle. This is not right Ford! I shouldnt be the person that is paying for a troubled car that has only 26K miles. Sure the warranty is still in effect, but what do I do when stranded places? I doubt this will go anywhere but maybe someone from Ford reads this and steps up.

I purchased a 2011 Ford Edge Certified pre-owned with 26000 miles. This vehicle has been in for major repairs within the last two years. Vehicle has AWD. The power transfer unit failed at approximately 60000 miles. The backup camera does not work at all. Just a blank black screen. Several valves went bad. The car was at a Ford dealer for 12 days. The backup camera no longer works. Its just a black screen. The only thing to be done with is replace it at the tune of $866.00. I did not have the camera replaced due to the substantial cost. The latest problem is the catalytic converters. They went bad at 75000 miles. The service engine soon comes on and flashes and then goes off. Called dealer and took it in. This was in January 2017.I was told both catalytic converters have to be replaced. The dealership told me they would have both converters by mid-February 2017. I called them at the end of the February and now they do not know when they will be getting the catalytic converters in. Really??? Note that I am still driving the vehicle and have not been offered a rental car as of yet. I was told not to take the vehicle on long trips because of the converters being bad. How long am I going to have to wait to have this fixed??? This will be the last thing that gets fixed on this car because if one more thing happens to it I will be getting rid of it. I am very disappointed in Ford and I have had several. Time to look at the foreign SUVs.

My 2013 Ford Fiesta hatchback titanium required a tow in year 3 with no other issues other than the battery dying and the radio console freezing up a few times which I was able to fix myself. It is an American made car that was extremely well priced with attractive features such as moonroof, leather seats, heated seats, rear camera, GPS system, enhanced audio sound system that a lot of the foreign cars offer at their base price models. It came in a manual which was important to me and hard to find. Some of the car pieces are made of plastic though where it should not be. The hood latch and several metal pieces under the hood have seized which I find absurd since I take great care of my vehicle. The whole vehicle is dependent upon a computer system that can be quite finicky at times especially when wet or cold outside.

February 5, 2014, I was sent to Ford in Olive Branch Mississippi to check out the 2014 Ford Fiesta. I was on the road the next day (the car was delivered from about 40 miles away in TN). Sunday on March 2nd I was pulling into the driveway and the engine malfunctioned and vibrated continually until the engine was shut off. I cranked it up and it was fine afterwards - I assumed it was a simple computer issue. March 4, 2014 - MY BIRTHDAY. I pick my daughter up from school and break down at a four way stop on the way home. ENGINE MALFUNCTION. Shut off engine immediately. Major vibration! Roadside assistance was attentive, but couldnt get to me until 6pm. By this time Ford could not tell me if I was able to get a rental car or anything until my car made it to the shop. All I wanted was an answer and a plan on getting my daughter to school the next day. I get a rental the next day, but not until about 10:30am and this is after calling all morning and being avoided. I was called to pick up my vehicle on Thursday afternoon and told that a code was ran showing problem with the throttle and the problem was WEATHER INDUCED. They reset the computer and gave me the car back. I knew this would be an issue. An hour after driving the car, it malfunctioned again, and once again would not accelerate or move more than a few inches. I was picked up and given a rental. I was not contacted throughout the weekend. I called Monday morning with no answer so I decided to go get some things out of my car. They told me they were just about to call me to let me know my car was ready and that they had replaced the entire throttle body. I was not happy about keeping a brand new car that already had a serious problem, but needed to catch up on all the errands. Today - Tuesday, March 11 I find myself BROKE DOWN AGAIN. I now have no rental, no car, and a booked vacation in 3 days. Happy spring break to me. I will never purchase a Ford again. Not to mention the miles put onto my car from the shop driving it as well as the gas that was not replaced.

11/02/15 My family and I had just came from a store at around 6pm, truck showed no signs of misuse or damage for I have had this truck for more than 10 years with no serious problems. We parked our truck at our apartment complex again with no signs of anything that could have triggered a fire. At 11:30 pm our neighbors had notified us that our truck was on fire. The fire department arrived about 20 minutes into the fire leaving the truck completely nonexistent. The fire department told us the fire had started in the engine. Ive never heard of some kind of recall in these models of trucks, Ford company should be responsible for all these damages.

Ive had 2 vehicles now that have had this problem, 2014 Escape & my new 2015 Explorer. With both vehicles the leather gets a dark color on the seat backs not the seats themselves. Ive been told numerous times Ford warranty wont cover it because they dont classify this as a defect. They tell me its a fabric transfer. How can it be a fabric transfer when I wear white most of the time because I live in Florida? So today I get a reply from Pauline in the Ford customer service department stating Ford will not do anything to fix this problem. I know Im not the only Ford owner with this problem. So Ive invested $200 on specially made seat covers for the explorer because of the airbags. Needless to say this is my last investment in a Ford product. Im just plain tired of arguing with a brick wall. The dealership had one of their people put shoe polish on as a temporary fix. REALLY!?! Id like to hear if any other Ford owners have had this same problem. Feel free to email me: **. I know Im not crazy, that this is a problem Ford just doesnt want to fix. Everything else is great with the vehicle, performance & handling are everything I expected. Its a great vehicle except for this stone color leather interior.

Well lets start off by saying you go to the dealer and you are interested in buying a new truck that you can plow with. So you get a price of $67,988 and youre like Damn thats a lot of cash. Then you make sure it has all the options that are needed for your likings. Loaded out, Lariat plow package and all the goodies. So you break the bank and go thru with the purchase and get it home. Get the new Boss plow set up all done and go out for the first plow of the season in November and you get a clicking relay in the dash. Well come to find out after plowing for a little bit it seems to get worse. Then all of a sudden your radio and heater goes off for a few seconds. Then it does it again five more time. Then the whole dash and electrical system goes down for approx. 2 minutes. So the following day I start calling Ford and dont get anywhere other than take it to the dealer. So I do that and they tell me there is nothing wrong. So this has been going on since Nov 25th. Well Ive had it at the dealer 5 times and then I find out that Ford is producing truck that states you have a plow prep package on them and you cant plow with them without getting a power spiking issue which causes the BCM to shut all the required electronics to shut down. So my bitch is how can Ford knowingly sell a truck as a plow truck and have all these problems. And after contacting Ford customer relations Im not any farther than I was in November. Ford has known about this problem since the 2014 model and still will not take any responsibility for fixing these problems. My advice is to check out the options on the vehicle and make sure there isnt and hidden notices where something cant be used properly. This a safety recall if I have ever seen one.

I have owned my share of Ford cars and trucks since 1979. I used to believe they were the best and the quality was off the chart. However of lately, my past two 2017 Ford’s were not the Fords I have had in the past. The quality has gone from 10 to about a 7 at best. I have recently owned and still drive my 2017 Taurus and recently parted with my 2017 F250 Diesel pickup. The truck wasn’t as bad as the Taurus but there were minor things. The truck had starting issues, and the quality of products used was not up to par in my opinion. Mechanically it seemed to hold its own, I didn’t like how the computer limited its capabilities to be the truck it could actually be. As for the Taurus, it is a good mechanical sound driving vehicle as I expect from a Ford. However the body panels don’t line up, misaligned doors to 1/4 panels, the hood and trunk don’t fit correctly. I got a really good deal on it and didn’t take it to heart too much. But now after year 3.5 I am starting to notice rust sitting in the gutter of the trunk lid, that is unacceptable. There are a lot of people who drive Fords today or in the past because of my tenacity about them. However now not so much so. I recently bought my wife a Chrysler 300 Sedan, it is a nice well built car, I become more and more impressed with it over my beloved Fords. I have owned probably over 50 vehicles in my life time, mostly Ford’s and a few GMs. Dodge hasn’t been a player since the early 70’s. Now they are back on the map! I am impressed and GM has made their way back as well. Ford needs to tighten up again. I was looking forward to possibly buying The new Bronco, however, I am really looking at the Rams and Dodges right now... If we continue to have good fortune with the Chrysler it will motivate me to move away from the Ford line. Trust me I live and breathe Ford’s, my RV is The F53 RV Chassis with the V10, I love it! My late 90 and early 2000 Ford’s were much better, quality, craftsmanship and sheer engineering ingenuity. Just thought I would share. I have had at least one (1) Ford all my 45 years of driving. Not bad, but times have changed and so has Ford unfortunately. Breaks my heart. I hope they turn it around before it is too late, especially after dropping their automobiles. I plan on making a purchase in the next year, hoping to be my final purchase in my life time.

The 90 Ford Thunderbird is a good running and dependable vehicle. Also, smooth, perfect and easy driving. Very comfortable and good gas mileage, too. Nice interior and awesome car. However, I dislike the seats leaning back and power steering, how the brakes work, the radio in it, the color of the interior, the cars weird looking color, the tires, the old radio cassette player and dashboard, the vehicles slowness, how the seats set and how I have to pull seat up to drive the vehicle.

2017 Escape SE, purchased brand new. We are not hard on our cars! Maintain them as required, had a 2010 Escape hybrid that we had for 11 years and loved it. Thats what prompted us to buy another. Any way 30,000 miles engine light comes on then goes out. Starts to idle rough. The next day when I started the car the engine light comes back on and stays on. Call Ford dealer, they said drive it in. I do, they tell me new engine is required. Lucky still under warranty. They said its okay to drive while they get the new engine, since we are in Hawaii everything takes a long time to get things anyway. So they tell me at least a month, but I am figuring on at least 2 months. Time will tell if the engine blows before I get the new one. FRUSTRATING!

In 2012, we had 3 coils replaced. Later that year, one of those coils had to be replaced again, this time at Fords expense. In 2015, we started having the same problems. Took the car to Courtesy Ford in Sanford, Florida. This is where we purchased the car. They told us there was an extended warranty but it was expired. So we had all the remaining coils replaced. Now, a month or so later, we are having the same problems. What I want to know is...why did Ford issue a temporary extended warranty yet continue to put the same defective coils in the cars? Ive checked online and see others are having the same problems. Can someone tell me why Ford is NOT fixing the problem? We are loyal Ford owners but this is pushing us away from Ford. I do not expect a reply to this. I think Ford no longer cares about these issues unless someone is killed due to their faulty equipment and parts.

Back in about 2007 I purchased a used Ford 150 truck from a friend. The friend had the truck for two years and did not need it anymore, so I purchased it. One day my son and a friend were on a country road when I received a cell phone call that fire was coming out from under the hood. They called 911 and fire trucks were dispensed. The truck actually had a melted engine and totaled from the engine to the middle of the back of the bed. Three weeks later I got a recall notice. I only had liability so I ask my friend who I purchased it from if he had, and he said no. Ford had me send pictures to them. Their response was it was burnt so bad that determination could not be made. Once again today I get notified of the recall.

I bought a new truck in November 2013 F-150 Platinum from Joe Myers Ford and Lincoln in Northwest Freeway Houston TX. Since 24000 mile I have my engine light coming on and I have taken my truck to the same dealership for fix. I have been experiencing the same situation since then and it is not fix yet. Two weeks ago I took the car for the same reason and they said they fixed it. When I took the truck I felt the same roughness and took the truck yesterday to be checked, they had all they the truck and told me everything is OK. This morning my engine light is on again. My car now has now 34400 miles and they say we do not know the problem but everything we do is a maintenance job and you have to pay for it. I bought a Ford after a long time, and I do not know what I need to do. For sure I will not consider buying another ford. I am not really sure if the Ford company really do a good job of fixing my truck.

Ford says that MyKey is a safety feature and added security. When enabled, your keys are limited by speed and music volume. However, if you somehow get both keys set as MyKey, there is nothing undo feature that the customer can do, except take the car to the dealership, and pay between $150 and $300 dollars to have this reset. I called Ford consumer complaints and asked them to pay for this, since their faulty system caused the problem, and was told no, and there was no one else to talk to at Ford to get this done. It is way too easy to do this by mistake, and then you are locked out of your enjoyment and use of the car you purchased. Basically, a Ford customer is not worth $150 to keep them happy. I will never buy from Ford again.

About a month ago I purchased a vehicle at five Star Ford in Georgia at five star Ford, after I bought the vehicle I brought it home to New York where I live. About three weeks later I was detailing the vehicle and noticed that the passenger side front fender had little circles. About 10 of them that look like there was touch up paint over them. After I noticed them I immediately called my local Ford dealership and ask them to take a look at the truck. Once I took the truck to them and they looked at the truck and they told me that this truck had some kind of damage done to it and that they try to touch it up at either the dealership or the Ford factory plant. So I immediately contacted the dealership in Georgia where I purchased this vehicle. They told me oh go get a second opinion so which at that point I took it to another Ford dealership and they said the same thing. So The other Ford dealership told me that there was over $1300 in damage to fix it.So I called The dealer back where I bought it and they informed me to call ford itself, so I explained the matter to ford. They gave me a case number and Ive been going back-and-forth with the Ford representative and they wanted to give me money towards it to fix, so I explained to the representative at ford that that is bull crap. I purchased a brand new truck and expected a new truck not something that had damage. I have a total of three fords through them right now. I am a loyal customer and they are gonna tell me they will give me some money towards it when they sold me a truck like that that was supposedly brand new. not even to cover it under warranty. This is like a bad dream, a 54000 dollar truck I bought brand new and they dont wanna cover it. So to everyone that reads this DO not buy a Ford. They are the worst company to their customers after the purchase especially how loyal I been to them. I own 170000 in fords right now Im still paying on and have had 15 previous fords and Im only 30 years old. They have lost me as a customer for life! I hope this helps further ford buyers in their next purchase to see how bad their customer service is.

My car is currently disabled from driving due to a severe transmission clutch shudder. I have been told many different things in regards to my vehicle by your customer service team. I also found that they had very limited empathy to the fact that my car was so significantly impacted by a clear manufactory issue that I almost got into a significant accident and was fearful for my life while driving it recently. My car first experienced the shudder after a year of driving it. It was attempted to be fixed in February 2017 for the exact issue. The problem subsided for awhile, and then gradually came back. The first dealership that tried to fix the issue was All American Ford in Old Bridge, NJ. The people here were competent and were helpful, because they were reimbursed by Ford for their service. The shudder returned of course. I went to a Ford dealership in Lakewood, NJ. Called Larsen Ford to see if they could look at the continuing issue. The service advisor Dave ** who I met with didn’t greet me. Another employee said hello and acknowledged me. Told me to sit in front of Dave. I sat in front of Dave, who didn’t even look at me while he was on his computer. After, I guess looking into my VIN number finally addressed I was sitting there in front of him. Discussed with me that I had no available warranty on my car in regards to the transmission clutch shudder issue, and then stated that it might not be transmission clutch shudder issue without even looking at my car. I felt he didn’t even discuss or look at my car because he knew it wasn’t going to be reimbursed by Ford. He also made me feel like I lacked intelligence, probably because I am a woman and acted like I knew nothing in regards to the car’s issue when in fact it’s hard not to know since Ford is currently being sued for the issue. I quickly left there. In between finding another dealership to help fix the problem, my car was completely affected by the transmission clutch shudder issue. It was terrifying driving it while this Accord, and a giant truck almost plowed into me, because the car jerked forward and back with acceleration and also when braking. It was brought to All American Ford in Point Pleasant, NJ where it is currently sitting because Ford does not want to take responsibility for their poor design manufacturing issue by placing a clutch system that burns off. My car is not currently being worked on, because Ford states that only certain cars can receive the extended warranty under the Customer Satisfaction Program 14M01 - Supplement #6.The customer “satisfaction” program has not satisfied this customer. In trying to reach out to your customer care representatives was even worse than dealing with the dealerships. I spoke to multiple representatives who had a difficult time understanding my English pronunciation and each told me different things: 3/15/19 - Jane told me that when requesting to speak with a supervisor it was pointless, because they will tell me the same thing. She was also unable to tell me exactly why my car was not covered under the warranty hence why I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She did note to request a supervisor to contact me in a business day.3/18/19 - I did not receive a phone call from a supervisor, so I called back again. I spoke with a John who told me that a supervisor placed a call however he couldn’t tell me when or what number so that I could make sure to answer. No supervisor of course was available. I asked to make a FM360 claim, he said only a supervisor could do that. Requested a supervisor to call me back. In addition, told me that dealerships can talk to Ford corporation in regards to reimbursement of warranty funds. 3/19/19 - A supervisor called me at 7:00 pm, however I was eating dinner with family after a long day at work.3/20/19 - Spoke to Gail a supervisor who informed me that the warranty is not covered for me because my car was made in October 2013 not in June 2013 (only a couple months later). I expressed my concerns since its the same exact transmission clutch shudder issue attempted to be fixed the first time, and why are only certain lucky Ford owners experiencing the same issue the only ones privileged to be reimbursed. In addition, she informed me that previous representatives could have filed a FM360 claim even though they told me a supervisor could. I also asked why the TMZ module is covered, however the clutches aren’t. She could not answer that question. She kept on repeating herself, talking over me in a scripted manner, and did not address my specific questions. I requested to speak to another supervisor other than Gail, and she denied my request. I kept on clarifying her statements and requesting for her to note to speak to another supervisor in case they had other information. In short, she denied my request and hung up on me.Ford has not rectified their design manufacturing mistake and would like to make their customers pay out of pocket for their error. I have a car that is not even 5 years old in which I have to pay $2000 for. I have paid for new tires, oil changes, and checks. I have made sure my car is updated on my end. My car is not driveable and I have to spend every day speaking to your employees who don’t want to help. In addition, due to research and speaking with Ford dealerships the problem will still continue even if the clutches are replaced.Ford has a responsibility to their customers and to keep them safe. They have designed and made unsafe vehicles and are unwilling to help out ALL of their customers. I hoping that someone will be in contact with me in regards to my issue. I am requesting that my current Ford dealership be reimbursed for the clutches. I am told that even if they replace the TMZ module, the car will not drive without the clutches being replaced. Someone needs to rectify the issue.

In 2016, we purchased a Ford Focus (with the dreaded automatic dual clutch) with ~35,000 miles. We paid extra for a 100,000 mile extended warranty. Within the first few months of owning it, it started shuddering. We took it in and they suggested we use an aftermarket air filter (green filter). We did so, and the shuddering was reduced.Five years later, the car has 67,000 miles on it and it started shifting pretty hard and the shuddering was more pronounced. We took it in and I told them I suspected the TCM was bad (which was still under warranty). They told me I was wrong and it was the clutch (which of course, isnt under warranty). I said that didnt sound right because the clutch was rated for 100,000 miles... So either the TCM was bad, the TCM caused the transmission to shift improperly, which caused the clutch to wear out prematurely, or it was a defective clutch. We went back and forth and they ENSURED me that it was the clutch. $1,600 and a new clutch later, they call me back and tell me Actually, I guess it IS the TCM. When I asked about a refund for the clutch, they told me to pound sand. The car has now been in the shop waiting on a warranty repair for the TCM for over four months. We call weekly for an update and there is still no expected completion date. They said it could be as long as a year. We just want to get it repaired and sell the piece of crap so we dont ever have to deal with this headache again.

Thousands of customers have experienced problems with changing spark plugs. Changing spark plugs should be a simple maintenance job. Thousands of people including myself have had their spark plugs break and get stuck in the cylinder head. Ford settled a class action suit because of the defective spark plugs, but the majority of those affected by this problem never saw a dime. Now the consumer is stuck footing the bills for what should have been Fords responsibility. Ford charges $600 to change the spark plugs, and if they break, thats considered the customers problem and costs more money. Often the broken plugs cannot be removed and the customer has to buy all new heads. This problem is affecting thousands of Ford owners, who are unknowing about the problem until they are stuck with broken plugs. This should be Fords responsibility to fix, not on the consumer!!!
