I have been a Ford Customer for over 30 years and I will NEVER buy another Ford. Ford refuses to cover the corrosion that is spreading on the hood of my 2014 Explorer. Now the paint is starting to chip off as well. Ford is well aware of this issue with several Ford models and will NOT do anything about it. (The local Ford Body Shop Manager told me so.) The issue is due to inadequate prep work before painting the vehicle. I have been going back and forth with Ford for over 6 months. I even sent a letter to the Ford Board of Directors. Ford simply does NOT care. FORD DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES!At first Ford tried to say that the warranty is 3/36000 miles, but later admitted that the warranty is actually 5 years/unlimited miles. Then they stated: Corrosion Warranty covers body sheet metal panels against corrosion due to a defect in factory supplied materials or workmanship. Corrosion coverage only applies if the corrosion causes perforation (holes) in body sheet metal panels. Corrosion Warranty coverage begins at the warranty start date and lasts for five years, regardless of miles drive. This is a defect in factory workmanship!

I am on my 3rd Ford Vehicle. The first 2 were used and had issues. I thought if I bought new and kept up with maintenance it would last... I was wrong! Under 7 years old and 53,000 miles, I have a list of issues and Ford does not stand behind their product. The Dealership charges absorbent fees just to look at the issues, not even fix them. They really know how to push away customers. I took my car to another auto shop and I am now excited to buy my first Toyota. Dont buy Ford. You will regret it. I do.

The Ford Cmax 2013 is a surprisingly agile responsive hybrid. It also has ample headroom and is easy to get into and out of. It handled well in town freeway and in mountainous driving. It averages around 38 miles per gallon.

This morning I get a call from my daughter to say that while taking her kids to school, she had stopped briefly to put some gas in and, while fueling the station manager and several other people rushed to her vehicle with fire extinguishers. My daughter quickly got my grandkids out and, stepped away to let the guys do their job. Once the fire was out and things cooled down a bit. it was evident that the cause was from the exhaust swelling up due to heat and pressure of a clogged catalytic converter system. Thanks, EPA IDIOTS. You nearly burned my daughter and grandkids alive due to your stupidity. Ford should recall this whole damn line of vehicles (but wont) due to costs. I would not buy a Ford nor recommend one to anyone. Automotive mechanic-20+ years.

My complaint is with Ford Motor Company. My vehicle was covered under the power train warranty and I noticed sluggish shifting and jarring in low gears. Because it was within 60k miles, I took it to their service center. They said they created ROI but couldnt do anything until a service light came on. It felt unsafe to drive but I did continue driving, the service light came on when it downshifted too far and red lined. I took video and picture of this within the vehicle, but the light shut off before I could get back to them. They claimed they couldnt recover the code, but they did have my picture proving light had been on. They also drove vehicle and confirmed the mechanical issue I experienced. This is all documented, but both the dealership and Ford is unwilling to service vehicle to satisfaction and now vehicle falls outside warranty mileage. I have all invoice documentation and pictures proving this, and Ford also said they cant fix vehicles without service light. This all took place over the course of 6 weeks or so, not years or even months. They are avoiding their warranty obligation.Shortly after, the service light came on and Ford confirmed what I already new, Transmission issues. Even though I reported the issue within warranty with ROI invoice created, Ford refuses to pay full cost of repair because light didnt stay on until just outside of warranty miles. This is definitely deceptive and probably illegal to not cover the repair, which is why Ford is offering to cover less than half. However, I would never recommend purchasing from Ford again as they dont back their warranties. Its unfortunate as Ive been a Ford owner of new vehicles for years, but I cant recommend anymore. Quality control and lack of Warranty consistency has hurt this once great American Brand.

Ford had a recall on their airbags & our vehicle had an accident. The airbag deployed. The body shop was told the part was on backorder and they have to wait for it to be released. We had our rental car covered by our insurance for 30 days. When that ran out I contacted Ford since the part was on backorder to cover the rental expense for the remaining days till the car is ready. Ford just called to inform me they cannot cover it!! I will never buy a Ford Vehicle again!!!

Bought brand new 2008 Ford 450. Have been having numerous issues and problems with the truck. Was tricked out of extended warranty, vehicle needs $3800 in repairs and Ford is not helping. Each time I brought vehicle in for repair, I would note Ford what the issue was and they would always tell me it was something else, and after paying for their stated opinion of repair, I would still have same problem or another problem with vehicle.

I bought a used 2005 Ford Coachmen RV. All the seals leaks around the windows and around a vent which allows an outlet to get wet which causes a GFCI breaker to trip every time it rains. I also have a friend that has a 99 Expedition. His seal leaks around the front windshield causing the computer to short out. I have a friend with a 03 Ranger that leaks and causes the anti theft to engage. Theres several cases like this I know of and Ford hasnt recalled these vehicles.

I bought a 2016 F450 truck. I bought it brand new. I put 16203 miles on it. Its now 1 year old. The ac is not blowing so I bring it to the dealership that I bought it from. They tell me the evaporator coil is clogged up. They want $2400 to repair. They tell me this is not covered under warranty. I have a brand new truck with no air conditioning. I also bought a 2018 F450 and a 2018 Explorer for my wife. 3 trucks in one year from Ford. It seems like they would be a little more interested in fixing the problem instead of trying to make me pay $2400 to fix a brand new truck???

I have had over 5 Ford vehicles in my lifetime and owned 3 within the last
I have had over 5 Ford vehicles in my lifetime and owned 3 within the last 5 years. However, that will change after this ordeal. Summer of 2018 Ive purchased a 2018 Mustang GT. Very nice car, good performance, all that I needed, right? Wrong! Around 7K miles, shifting from one gear to another became difficult. So I took it over to dealership where I purchased at for them to honor the warranty. They did but it took nearly two months for them to complete due various reasons. So I contacted the Ford company itself to see if could help me in some way to compensate me for the loss of use as well as a form of guarantee that the vehicle could go on for many miles more and years to come.At first, the initial Ford rep was very responsive and willing to provide several solutions to my issue. Therefore, he escalated to the regional rep within Maryland. The Maryland rep was the total opposite, she was belligerent, refusing to offer even the least bit of assistance. She went on to make it appear the fault of someone hitting me in the back (Which was a minor accident) for which was not concluded to cause the transmission issue. The issue concerned an inferior part which had to be replaced. I graduated with a degree in Automotive Technology so I clearly understood that it was a failure in the shift fork which slide the release bearing back and forth on the input shaft, thus engaging of disengaging the clutch and flywheel connected to the pressure plate! It would have to be a severe accident which would have to somehow dislodge the engine and transmission bell housing to disturb that specific internal part!!Although, I have some unresolved issues with the dealership, they did a good job with the repair as far as I can tell so far. However, when one drops nearly $45k on a car they dont expect it to fail two months later in such a huge way which requires a complete teardown. So with all this said, Im going back to Chevy and Nissan for now on.

My car is currently disabled from driving due to a severe transmission clutch shudder. I have been told many different things in regards to my vehicle by your customer service team. I also found that they had very limited empathy to the fact that my car was so significantly impacted by a clear manufactory issue that I almost got into a significant accident and was fearful for my life while driving it recently. My car first experienced the shudder after a year of driving it. It was attempted to be fixed in February 2017 for the exact issue. The problem subsided for awhile, and then gradually came back. The first dealership that tried to fix the issue was All American Ford in Old Bridge, NJ. The people here were competent and were helpful, because they were reimbursed by Ford for their service. The shudder returned of course. I went to a Ford dealership in Lakewood, NJ. Called Larsen Ford to see if they could look at the continuing issue. The service advisor Dave ** who I met with didn’t greet me. Another employee said hello and acknowledged me. Told me to sit in front of Dave. I sat in front of Dave, who didn’t even look at me while he was on his computer. After, I guess looking into my VIN number finally addressed I was sitting there in front of him. Discussed with me that I had no available warranty on my car in regards to the transmission clutch shudder issue, and then stated that it might not be transmission clutch shudder issue without even looking at my car. I felt he didn’t even discuss or look at my car because he knew it wasn’t going to be reimbursed by Ford. He also made me feel like I lacked intelligence, probably because I am a woman and acted like I knew nothing in regards to the car’s issue when in fact it’s hard not to know since Ford is currently being sued for the issue. I quickly left there. In between finding another dealership to help fix the problem, my car was completely affected by the transmission clutch shudder issue. It was terrifying driving it while this Accord, and a giant truck almost plowed into me, because the car jerked forward and back with acceleration and also when braking. It was brought to All American Ford in Point Pleasant, NJ where it is currently sitting because Ford does not want to take responsibility for their poor design manufacturing issue by placing a clutch system that burns off. My car is not currently being worked on, because Ford states that only certain cars can receive the extended warranty under the Customer Satisfaction Program 14M01 - Supplement #6.The customer “satisfaction” program has not satisfied this customer. In trying to reach out to your customer care representatives was even worse than dealing with the dealerships. I spoke to multiple representatives who had a difficult time understanding my English pronunciation and each told me different things: 3/15/19 - Jane told me that when requesting to speak with a supervisor it was pointless, because they will tell me the same thing. She was also unable to tell me exactly why my car was not covered under the warranty hence why I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She did note to request a supervisor to contact me in a business day.3/18/19 - I did not receive a phone call from a supervisor, so I called back again. I spoke with a John who told me that a supervisor placed a call however he couldn’t tell me when or what number so that I could make sure to answer. No supervisor of course was available. I asked to make a FM360 claim, he said only a supervisor could do that. Requested a supervisor to call me back. In addition, told me that dealerships can talk to Ford corporation in regards to reimbursement of warranty funds. 3/19/19 - A supervisor called me at 7:00 pm, however I was eating dinner with family after a long day at work.3/20/19 - Spoke to Gail a supervisor who informed me that the warranty is not covered for me because my car was made in October 2013 not in June 2013 (only a couple months later). I expressed my concerns since its the same exact transmission clutch shudder issue attempted to be fixed the first time, and why are only certain lucky Ford owners experiencing the same issue the only ones privileged to be reimbursed. In addition, she informed me that previous representatives could have filed a FM360 claim even though they told me a supervisor could. I also asked why the TMZ module is covered, however the clutches aren’t. She could not answer that question. She kept on repeating herself, talking over me in a scripted manner, and did not address my specific questions. I requested to speak to another supervisor other than Gail, and she denied my request. I kept on clarifying her statements and requesting for her to note to speak to another supervisor in case they had other information. In short, she denied my request and hung up on me.Ford has not rectified their design manufacturing mistake and would like to make their customers pay out of pocket for their error. I have a car that is not even 5 years old in which I have to pay $2000 for. I have paid for new tires, oil changes, and checks. I have made sure my car is updated on my end. My car is not driveable and I have to spend every day speaking to your employees who don’t want to help. In addition, due to research and speaking with Ford dealerships the problem will still continue even if the clutches are replaced.Ford has a responsibility to their customers and to keep them safe. They have designed and made unsafe vehicles and are unwilling to help out ALL of their customers. I hoping that someone will be in contact with me in regards to my issue. I am requesting that my current Ford dealership be reimbursed for the clutches. I am told that even if they replace the TMZ module, the car will not drive without the clutches being replaced. Someone needs to rectify the issue.

For the past few months I have had my 2006 Ford F-150 with the 5.4 Triton V8 3 valve in and out of the shop trying to rectify a rough engine idle when stopping. First I was told that it had to do with a clogged fuel filter which was changed at a charge of $214.00 but I still had the same problem. Next, I was told that the air filter intake hose was clogged with leaves which was another charge of $180.00. Well, the rough idle persisted. So, at 88,000 miles I decided to let my mechanic do a tuneup which I was told would be around $450 thats if he didnt break any spark plugs.Well, day one I get a call and 3 spark plugs had broken off in the head. The next day I get a call and my mechanic was able to remove 2 of the broken off pieces but he couldnt get the third out. Day three I get a call and my mechanic explains to me that he tried to drill out the center of the stem and thread it so he could try and back it out. He got it to turn 4 times before it completely shredded and the piece fell into the #8 cylinder. So, he had to take off the head to get into the #8 cylinder to clean and remove all debris which he told me usually takes 21 hours. So, a week later I get a call from my mechanic to tell me that my truck is finally ready. Yep, it was ready all right at a cost of $3900... quite a shock considering this all started out at around $450. Of course, I was pretty mad and my mechanic did take $600 off of the bill. But, he has lost my business and the Better Business Bureau will get a complaint on behalf of this fiasco. Ford has known about this problem for quite awhile now and from what I have learned may have rectified the problem by replacing the spark plugs of later models with a one piece plug instead of a 2 piece plug that when affected by carbon build up seizes in the cylinder. Now, Ford states that the 5.4 Triton shouldnt have to have a tuneup until 100G miles. Yah, right!!! This is the second Ford product I have owned that has taken a good bit of my hard earned money. First was a failed transmission on a Mercury Villager that had only 62G on it. That fiasco cost me $2800. Now this total Charley Fox!!! Ford you have lost my business and will never get another dime out of me and yes I will be telling all of my friends to stay clear of Ford products.I currently own 2 Toyota vehicles. One a 2006 Toyota Camry that has 120G miles on it and the only thing I have done to that car in 5 years is replace tires and regular oil changes. The second is a 1989 Toyota extended cab 4x4 pickup truck that has 178G on it and I have had to replace the starter, the radiator, the power steering pump and the alternator, which I repaired all on my own at a minimal cost. The engine is still as strong as it was when I bought the truck in 1990. Now, if that doesnt speak quality and reliability then Im speechless. Guess who will be selling their F-150 and buying a Toyota Tundra. Ford get your act together!!! We are done!!

Id give zero stars if that was possible. Back story: never owned US made car. Drove just about every brand of Japanese car out there since 83, with no major complaints. I decided perhaps it was time to give a US company a try and my research suggested Ford the best of them. I got a new Explorer. Explorer seemed like a solid vehicle until at 20k miles it started to suffer some mysterious electrical problem, the worst of which manifests itself by hitting the gas pedal and nothing happens. The revs are there, its just nada between transmission and the engine. It can last a few seconds to a few minutes and when it does finally engage, the car leaps forward similar to what happens when you drop the clutch hard on a manual car.Other things are rear view cam coming on when going forward, cruise control shutting off for no reason etc. Worst, and potentially dangerous is the dead motor thing. Left me dead in the water in an intersection the other day. Brought it to Ford service three times now. First two times, being (apparently) an electrical issue, and an intermittent one at that, of course they couldnt reproduce the problem or fix it. Third time was the charm as I walked the tech out and it did it for him in person, so he confirmed it and said he thought it was electrical vs. a transmission issue. Once they got it in the shop, you guessed it, they could not reproduce it, and no fix.Now Im getting pissed. Many phone calls, etc. later to Ford corporate, them generally doing jack** to help me, etc., they then ask me to bring it in for a 4th time! I said I would, if they would at least tell me what they would happen after #4 visit and no fix: replace the car, let me out of the lease, etc. if after #4 if was not fixed. Their response was we will evaluate that afterward in a good faith review I responded, So if after #4 and nothing is fixed, we go onto #5? They ignored the Q. Seemed pretty reasonable request to me...Hence a total non answer and yet, I should bring it in for #4 with zero commitment from them, so at that point I declined knowing it was a waste of time and all they are doing is trying to wear me down and give up. I have 7 months left on the lease. So, it appears Im stuck with Ford until the lease run out (which is me paying for a defective car), pay the lease off and walk, which is me throwing $ in the toilet on a defective car. And Ford was supposed to be the most reliable of US brands. No wonder we continue to lose market share to the Japanese, etc.

Ford says that MyKey is a safety feature and added security. When enabled, your keys are limited by speed and music volume. However, if you somehow get both keys set as MyKey, there is nothing undo feature that the customer can do, except take the car to the dealership, and pay between $150 and $300 dollars to have this reset. I called Ford consumer complaints and asked them to pay for this, since their faulty system caused the problem, and was told no, and there was no one else to talk to at Ford to get this done. It is way too easy to do this by mistake, and then you are locked out of your enjoyment and use of the car you purchased. Basically, a Ford customer is not worth $150 to keep them happy. I will never buy from Ford again.

My F150 has 62000 miles. My service light came on and said transmission malfunction. Took to dealer very same day. After almost a month to repair because Ford dealer/Ford regional manager could not find the parts to repair the transmission, could not find the parts in the Ford system throughout the US. Picked up truck on a Saturday at a cost of $1200 and returned on Sunday. The transmission kept shifting between gears and when I stopped at a traffic light and then accelerated, it would race and then engage with a jolt. It has so far been TWO months and I still do not have my truck. I will never buy another truck from Ford again. All they have done is run you around in circles until you get exhausted and quit. The only good thing is they gave me a loaner two weeks after they took my truck so I dont have to rent a car anymore.

We own a 2016 Ford eco boost F150 truck. At 20000 miles it had a catastrophic engine failure. The spark plug went into the piston which went into the head and destroyed it. We had it repaired at a Ford garage and after 3 weeks picked it up and on the way home from Alabama to Pennsylvania it failed on the interstate with major engine failure. At the time we were towing a trailer and used road side assist. We paid out of our pocket because they said we had to and have yet to be reimbursed even though they say we are approved and should never have had to pay ourselves. The truck had been repaired with zip ties and they did not hold and the fuel rail let fuel go over where and 6 heads needed replaced. We were told it was lucky we didn’t have a fire. We are asking for a buy back but we can’t get a response and none of our expenses have been paid. We were traveling and had hotel bills and rental vehicles as the parts for the first repair were not available. Disappointed in Ford.

My 2015 Ford Taurus was not completely shutting off after I turned off my car. The car was staying in accessory mode. I took it in for service and they said they could not find anything wrong. They told me I had to replace the battery. Diagnosis was a bad cell. I bought this car as a certified pre-owned and they replaced the battery before I bought the vehicle, they put the lowest-priced battery in the car. The date stamp on the battery was 4/2017, and another sticker that said 3/36 meaning 3 years or 36,000 miles. I assumed that 3/36 was on the battery but apparently that is for the car warranty. Per Ford Customer Relations and the dealership, the date stamp means nothing and the battery would not be covered. Just keep this in mind if you experience this same problem. They offered me two different batteries, both were way overpriced compared to an auto parts store. You are better off saving a trip to the dealer and paying a deductible ($100.00 for me) and just go to your local auto parts store, get a battery that they will warranty!

I am EXTREMELY disappointed I am with Ford! This is my second bout with Ford... This time, I am just in awe of the treatment I am receiving. I will try to make this long story as short as possible. On 9/25, I was traveling from Stockbridge, GA back home to Winston Salem, NC. Once I got to Boiling Springs, SC, on my display- a message came up Low Oil pressure...my car started slowing down and making a weird noise- so I got off at the next exit and called Ford Roadside Assistance. The lady I spoke to first quoted me $361 to have my car towed from Boiling Springs, SC to Charlotte, NC; I told her Id call right back because Id have to make sure I would have transportation from Charlotte to Winston Salem. She said ok, she would document and someone would help me when I called.I call back- go through the entire story again about driving from GA, message, etc....I get quoted $569!!!! I tell THIS lady, that is NOT what I was literally just quoted 10 minutes ago on the phone. She puts me on hold, comes back asks me what location, blah, blah, blah- I tell her- she puts me on hold, comes back and says she cannot get this lady to understand what she is saying, Im like, That is not my problem- I am telling you what she told me and its not fair to me that she quoted me one price and you want to charge me an additional $200 more. She talks to her supervisor---she will NOT waive the $200! (Oh, I havent gotten to the best part).I wait 4 hours for a tow to come get me!!!! After the tow comes, the dealership gates are closed. I have to leave my car on the outside of the dealership with a note in the car. I go through the fence to put my keys in the lock box. I call the next morning. Now present: whats wrong with my 2019 Ford Ecosport--the engine and turbo. It only has 76K miles on it...I asked last week for a loaner because I work FT. They said they did not have any loaners.I called again 10/4 and I was told they did not. - My question was: Can you not contact the other dealerships in Charlotte, but I guess that would be too easy. I ask for Corporates number and Im told they can rent me a car from Enterprise BUT under the service plan they will only pay $35/day, I will have to pay $10/day AND I have to come to Charlotte to get the car--how the heck can I come get the car if you have my only mode of transportation? The customer care person I spoke with on 10/4 said she was escalating my issue and someone would contact me within in hour....this was at 12:43pm...I havent heard a peep from anyone.I have posted on my FB, Yelp, and Fords website. Someone from Fords Social Media contacted me via FB inquiring my case # and most preferred contact. I provided it and then he (Rick) said he saw where my case had been escalated and someone would be in touch. I still have not heard from anyone about the status of my car (which has been a week and 1/2 now) or anything about a rental! I dont know if this is sexual discrimination (because I am a female). They feel they can take advantage and run over me, but I am extremely upset and feel I am being treated unfairly. I also have found evidence on the internet that the issues with my car maybe a recall issue and I should not have to pay the deductible, but am sure because of the way this is going, they will attempt to strong arm me. I need assistance- PLEASE!!!!

We bought a 2011 F150 brand new. We like the truck except for the shake we have in it. Every time we use it now, it shakes & we are scared that something will happen to it after the warranty is up. The first time we towed our 5th wheel travel trailer with it, it shook. When we got back home, we went to our dealership & they were more than willing to try to help us. They got in contact with Ford Motor Company & did everything that they were told to do. WE are more than happy with our dealership but we are totally disappointed in Ford Motor Company, as they will not do anything else to fix the problem. We have been calling them for 28 months now & all they have offered us was $1,000.00 towards another new truck. We have spent more than that just traveling back & forth to the dealership trying to get help from them.We have had 23 Ford automobiles in the last 40 years. We have been loyal to the Ford company all of these years but I guess our Loyalty doesnt mean much to Ford Motors. Three of our trucks was well over 65,000.00. I guess this goes to show it doesnt matter how much money you give them, you are not worth the effort to help us or gives a real good deal on another truck. Oh well, maybe some other company will be better to us, as we will not be buying a new FORD TRUCK in the near future.

I have a 2011 Mercury Milan that has a power steering assist fault and has stopped working. It starting happening in the summer of 2016 and would reset after turning the car off and then back on. It now has a message on the dashboard and says Power Steering Assist Fault and Advance Service Track. I researched and Ford has a recall on the same make, model and year but Ford says that my VIN number is not on the recall even my car is doing the same, exact thing and the power steering has failed. They are trying to charge me the diagnostic fee and refuse to fix my car even though there is a recall on this make, model and year. I need someones assistance! This is a danger to me and my family while driving. I do not have the funds to fix the vehicle. The part alone is $1,200 plus the labor. Ford Motor Company should be ashamed of themselves. Many other individuals have gotten in accidents because of this problem. They have totaled their vehicles and gotten hurt. Why cant Ford do the right thing and fix my vehicle? I am using all resources to announce this problem. I am so outraged and disappointed in Ford Motor Company. I am putting it out there to everyone not to ever buy a Ford and how they do not care about the lives and families who own their vehicle, and all of the recalls that they have on many different Ford vehicles. How can you have a recall on a vehicle and say that my VIN is not under the recall when it has the same, exact problem?? It is disgusting that this company can get away with this!!

Ive had this car for less than 2 months and it has given me nothing but trouble (electrical/engine related). Its been in the shop for 2 weeks now and I havent heard any updates from the service manager as to when itll be fixed, or what the problems are with it. Ive dealt with the roadside assistance, the service center, the corporate office and of course the dealership and Ive been sorely disappointed with every aspect of Kias customer service. Ive been treated like a number and told that if Im unsatisfied with the vehicle that I should wrap it around a tree and get something else. Im never purchasing from Kia again... I miss my Ford sooo much!!!

Paid vehicle off, and month later still waiting for NaTIS doc. Dont even bother calling, no help whatsoever, instead call is disconnected very conveniently. No, never Ford again!

I took my 2003 Ford Focus SE with 73,000 miles on it to get the alternator replaced and when it was put on the lift, the passenger side coil spring broke at the base. I am so thankful it happened there and not on the highway with my child in the car! I bought this car used in 2005 and I am worried after reading these posts about the other springs breaking also. I have had to have the sway bar links and a new ignition module replaced. These are all known problems to Ford, yet they do not recall the parts and continue to put them in newer models. This is the first and only Ford car I will ever own!

I received a safety recall notice 11S25/NHTSA Recall 12V-006 indicating problems with the splines in the torque converter and instructions to contact dealer for repair if vehicle loses forward and reverse power before Ford has parts to fix the problem. The letter stated that parts are not currently available and are anticipated to be available in the 2nd Quarter of 2012 and replacement of the torque converter will be free of charge (parts and labor). On 5/4/12, I lost acceleration on my 2005 Freestar (VIN **) and I towed it 30 miles back home. After contacting service manager, **, at Valley Ford Lincoln dealership, I towed my van there for repairs on 5/7/12. The service manager called after inspection to tell me that my transmission break down had nothing to do with the recall part. He quoted me $1,500 to break it down to determine the needed repair and further cost to repair it. I then had it towed to Century Transmission (421 E St, Lemoore, CA 93245; 559-925-8853) where it was repaired for the cost of $2,091. The owner, Raul, informed me that the torque converter had worn splines and was indeed the needed repair. The receipt and part were taken back to service manager, who consulted his technician, **. Upon inspecting the part, technician stated that the part was shot and that the repair cost was not bad and that they would have charged at least that much. The service manager said he would use my receipt to see if I could get some if any of my money back. When the owner, Jack Keller, was contacted, he indicated that I would not get reimbursed for the repair because I should have had it towed back to Ford for repair even though I was told it was not the covered part. In addition to not trusting Ford to be honest at that point, it would have been my 4th tow and I would still have owed Century for labor. I have the original receipt and the removed torque converter in my possession for needed inspection and proof that the splines are worn and the torque converter is bad. I would like to be reimbursed for the cost of repair to my transmission ($2,091).

This car started off my dream car. I moved from Louisiana to California about 4 years ago and the troubles began. Apparently the car cannot handle the hills and inclines of San Diego. About a year after moving here I started having a slight thud after putting far in reverse. My husband said I just needed to let the motor wind down before putting in drive. It wasnt an everyday all the time problem. Just intermittent then last year it began to shut off on me going down the road. I would stop at a stop sign or red light and the car literally would crawl then hard bang and take off. The problems got more frequent and worse. I was involved in a frontal collision doing about 30 miles an hour, enough to send the other car that ran the red light into a 360 turn and not one air bag in the car went off. $13000.00 dollars worth of damage to the front end of my car and not one air bag inflated. Thank god we were all buckled up. After the accident I drove the car for about 2 weeks before the car literally sounded like it was grinding rocks, transmission slipping severely and I was afraid to drive it. I take it into the local Ford dealership and after having it for 2 days I get a call saying they cant figure it out. 10 minutes later they call and say its ready. I get there and Im told you need a new transmission. $5700 for a transmission that apparently has some defects from all of the other people Ive read complaining having the same issues! Ford should be ashamed for putting a transmission in a family car that is potentially unsafe and unreliable. Beware when buying one of these.

I bought the Ford Sport Trac new in MAY 2010. I had all the scheduled dealer maintenance completed as scheduled and the vehicle has never been off road. The four-wheel drive has been engaged twice, and the majority of the miles have been on the highway. Thirty miles from FT Leonard Wood the transmission began slipping. The vehicle was sluggish when accelerating from a stopped position causing a hazard in city driving or merging onto the interstate. The vibration increased on the highway at speeds above 50 MPH making it difficult to steer. When I arrived at my destination, I dropped it at the dealership the next day for service. The service representative called and informed 2 maintenance lights were on for engine and transmission service. I agreed to move forward with the scheduled maintenance. The dealership called later that day and informed me I needed a new transmission but could not explain what the codes meant or the cost of repair. I asked for clarification, but no one ever got back to me with an update. I received a text my truck was ready for pick up, but the staff could not explain the problem. I am now at day seven and after countless phone calls to the dealership and Ford customer service line. No one can explain the issue or offer assistance because the vehicle is not under warranty! My questions. Why is the transmission shot after only 37,000 miles? If it is replaced, what reassurance do I have this problem will not reoccur in another 37,000 miles? Is there assistance for a drive train component replacement that is supposed to last 100,000 miles and likely defective? Why is this a warranty issue and not a quality issue? The staff at the Ford customer service center try to keep bouncing back to the dealership and refuse to put me in contact with the regional manager or supervision staff. I finally got a call and they offered to replace the transmission for $5,000. Told me I could take it or leave it.

Bought a new 2016 Ford Explorer and with 300 miles on it. I noticed the paint had dots in it. I took it back to the dealer and they said it was paint pop and they will wet sand the car to fix it. So they did and I got my car back with white spots all over it. So they said we have to repaint the whole car. I said that was not acceptable to have a new car that has to be repainted. The dealer and Ford motor company said that all they will do but everyone I have talked to said they would not accept a new car that was repainted but they want me to. They gave me two choices. Get the car repainted or trade it in. So I was going to trade it in but I would lose 8 grand. Now the car is all taken apart and getting repainted with 300 miles on it.I own 6 Ford cars and trucks as of today and will never buy another one so make sure if you are looking to buy a new Explorer, you look at the paint. I bought a black one and stopped at two other dealers to look at the they had on the lot and they had the same problem as mine. And ford said there is nothing wrong with them. Buyers beware.

Ford had a recall on their subframe which was completed May 2011. I took my car to my mechanic July 2012 to be looked over. I found that the engine cradle (subframe is rusted out) left the front transmission mount vehicle not safe to drive. Also as stated by the ford dealership, Ford will not help. Ford passed the buck on to the Ford dealership that did the recall. In my opinion, the subframes should have been completely replaced, not reinforced. I cannot afford to get another car.

I am embarrassed to say that I have continued to purchase Ford products through the years even though they have proven to be poorly manufactured. Well I have finally learned my lesson. Never again will I purchase a Ford vehicle. Some examples, Explorer 30,000 miles cracked engine block, Excursion 52,000 miles transmission failure, Expedition tailgate paint bubbling off (they all do), Raptor 50,000 miles garage kept. A hole rusted through the bed (common).Fords response to all of these defects Drop Dead. If you wish to experience the absolute worst imaginable customer service call (800) 392-3673. I honestly felt as though they were mentally challenged so I escalated the case first to Matt ** never replied then Phill badge # ** big zero then Brian badge # ** bigger zero and finally the head supervisor Rose ** whom I would best describe her as robotic nit wit unable to respond beyond cookie cutter prepared answers. As a small business owner I purchase multiple vehicles annually as well as personal vehicles so over the course of the last 35 years I have purchased more than 100 new vehicles. The majority of which were Fords. In 2017 alone F350 $50,000.00, A Expedition EL $70,000 and most recently a Raptor $70,000.00. So I hope Mr. Ford reads this and terminates each and every one of the inept, indifferent individuals at Ford who misrepresent themselves as a customer service department.

This 2008 f-450 super duty has been a problem since day one. This is a 6.4 diesel. Oil leaking from motor and 6500 miles, at approx. 10k miles total loss of power. It was the flex plate and torque converter. At 14200 miles flex plate and torque converter. At 17990 miles flex plate and torque converter. Ford just keeps throwing parts at it without resolving the problem, at my expense. This truck cost 65k brand new, and now with 18440 miles its done. Ford wont help me at all. Ford just wants to sell me another truck. I cannot believe that ford will not stand behind their product. These breakdowns have caused a lot of hardship and expense and on top of that every time I get the truck back from the dealer something else is wrong. With this low of miles on this truck I feel I have been wronged and shame on Ford.

Safety Concerns with Ford Motor Company - 2/16/2013: As we merged on to Lakeville Highway, Petaluma, CA we began to accelerate and the vehicle revved but would not shift out of first gear. We contacted Ford Motor Company and the vehicle was towed to Henry Curtis Ford of Petaluma. My mother-in-law drove from Brentwood to Petaluma to pick up my husband, myself, and our dog. Sales manager William said he would reimburse her cost for gas and work on a rental if they determined Ford was liable for the vehicles issue.2/18/2013: Henry Curtis Ford contacted us stating the vehicle had a lot of codes they would need to weed through to determine what the issue was with the car (which is different than what the original receipt stated). Henry Curtis Ford said we could now have a rental vehicle and sent us to Enterprise. Enterprise rented us a Chevy Impala. 2/20/2013: Enterprise asked us to return the Impala and exchanged it for a Dodge Avenger. 2/21/2013: Henry Curtis Ford claimed the vehicle was fixed and could be picked up. Future Ford and Lincoln of Concord arranged to have the vehicle driven by Ford from Petaluma to Concord.2/22/2013: Per Future Ford of Concord, the vehicle would arrive at my work when I was off at 1:30pm so I should return the rental, which I did on my lunch break. Future Ford of Concord called to let me know the vehicle had an issue on the drive to Concord from Petaluma; it would not shift gears or accelerate. Future Ford of Concord picked me up and took me to Hertz to get a rental, a Mazda 3. I went to Future Ford to get my receipt from Henry Curtis Ford. The receipt basically said nothing was wrong with my car, no errors came up on tests, and it was returned. This is different than what my husband and I were told from the Service Advisor. I called Henry Curtis Ford and left a message for Joseph **. I spoke with the Service Advisor Andy ** at Concord Ford and asked his notes be thorough and include all communications with their technicians, any tests or maintenance performed, and documentation of our communications. I discussed my concerns with the Sales Manager William who appeared concerned about the situation. William assured me he would be able to reimburse Angela for the gas, but since she was not local, he would have to look into how.2/23/2013: Concord Ford detailed the Mazda 3 rental since it had a funny smell and Hertz is not open on Saturdays. 2/25/2013: I spoke with Andy ** at Future Ford to try and understand the issue and procedure to correct it. I called Ford Manufacturer and opened a claim. The claim was escalated and assigned to Leslie ** (866-631-3788, extension **, email: **). I spoke with Joe **, Service Advisor at Henry Curtis Ford, and advised him of how the receipt was written. He said he would fix it and send it back to us. 2/26/2013: I left a message for Leslie since I had not heard back. 2/27/2013: Leslie called me back on 2/27/2013 and stated a Ford script that they stand behind their warranty and asked if she could offer me a Service package to help with my trouble. I told her I was scared and I have never been in this sort of situation. I asked how long this may go on and she said she had no idea. 3/1/2013: I spoke with Andy ** at Future Ford. 3/4/2013: I went to Future Ford to check in on gas refund from 2/16/2013. William had not yet found a way to refund the gas, such as providing a gift card. William said he would have a check sent to Angela. 3/5/2013: I called Joseph ** at Henry Curtis Ford and asked if the receipt was updated or mailed. He said it had been updated and mailed but he would mail again since we did not receive. 3/6/2013: The Mazda 3 rental began to smell again, so I exchanged the vehicle for another option at Hertz, a Chevy Cruz. I contacted Ford and spoke with Leslie. I told her I was so upset and I wanted to drive my car and I was unhappy with the rentals. I pleaded to have my car fixed, replaced, or a buyback. She said she couldn’t fix it any sooner, so I said to go forward with the buyback. This conversation was really hard. I was literally to my breaking point, in tears, and she made me feel like I was asking a favor they couldnt fulfill. Leslie spoke down to me and said she couldnt control what they had at the rental agency and she could only file requests for buybacks, which could take up to 10 business days. Ford has the buyback starting on 3/7/13 and Leslie insisted multiple times in future conversations I requested it on the 7th. I didnt see a point in arguing, but I took notes and documented the 6th personally.3/8/2013: I spoke with Andy ** regarding parts and status. 3/14/2013: After another request had been made with Joseph ** for the receipt to be sent and it was not received (exact date of second request was not documented), I drove to Petaluma to get the receipt. The receipt was still not updated to the same information they had said over the phone; the only note that was added said the issue may be related to PCM. This was never mentioned to us during the time the car was in Petaluma; it was only something thought to be the issue after Ford in Concord had got the issue to occur in a picture they took and sent to a Ford technician, via their hotline. Rick **, Service Manager at Future Ford, calls to tell me they are still waiting on a part called the PCM, but it is on back order and they will not receive it in their factory until the 20th and have an emergency order to have it in expedited. I was in the Petaluma dealership and missed the call. I called Rick back upon leaving and left a message asking him to call me back. I called Leslie ** (assigned to my claim with Ford) and left a message. Upon getting home, Joseph **s receipt was received in the mail.3/18/2013: 30 days no vehicle, 8 business days into buyback request, and no follow up. I called Leslie ** and left a call back message. 3/19/2013: I went to Concord Ford, left a note for Rick ** to call me back, and spoke with William about the check for Angelas gas. He had her information and said he was still working on getting it made. I spoke with Andy **. 3/20/2013: I stayed home from work to focus on getting this resolved, 32 days in. I called Leslie and left another message. I went to Ford Manufacturer’s Customer Service to request my issue be addressed, escalated, or resolved. I spoke with a gentleman named Bruce who assured me I could get a call back from Leslie or her superior within 1 business day. Bruce was a very kind representative who conveyed a sincere tone and empathy. Leslie returned my call later in the afternoon. The conversation was really intense and it was clear she was irritated with me and felt she did not need to check in with me until she had more information. I dont even know how to write how this call made me feel. It was emotional and it impacted my judgment of Ford more than any of the issues I had with my car. I have never been made to feel as insignificant by a company as I was that day. There was no regard for my situation or remorse for them being the reason it was caused. Leslie was cold and uncooperative. End of the business day, Rick ** from Future Ford of Concord called to say they fixed the problem. I shared with him we are afraid of the vehicle and for our safety. I requested they leave the vehicle there since we will not risk driving it, or to tow it to our home. They said they would keep it there until they heard back from Leslie **.3/21/2013: I called Leslie and pleaded for an answer and she advised they had not returned a response and that the buyback request is dealt with behind the scenes and she will let me know when a decision is made. I asked why it was taking longer than the ten business days she stated and she said it can take longer in different situations. She said if I went through BBB, it would likely take 30 business days. She said she may hear back on Monday and she would call me then as she was out of the office on Friday and the weekend.3/25/2013: I called Leslie and left a message in the morning, a second in the afternoon, and called one last time in the evening, and she answered. She advised she did not have any additional information and would call me when she did. 3/27/2013: I called Leslie in the early afternoon. I received a callback in the early evening. Leslie said the buyback was declined and could not elaborate as to why. The response I was given after 15 business days was It did not meet your state’s Lemon Law requirements. Leslie ** offered to pay 1 months car payment for my inconvenience. She stated the check will be processed through the dealerships accounting department, which usually takes 10 business days.3/28/2013: Future Ford of Concord asked me to pick up my vehicle and they could not tow it as there would be an expense to Ford. 3/29/2013: I picked up our Fusion from Future Ford in Concord. My husband drove the car home. Prior to the issue, the vehicle seamlessly shifted through all the gears. Now you can feel a distinctive shift in gears from first gear through third. The vehicle now also has a rough idle as if it were under a slight load, similar to the air conditioner is running.3/30/2013: I went to Future Ford to ask Andy to update the receipt. The write up did not specify the issue is intermittent. Andy stated the car shifts hard since it is an adaptive transmission, which learns how you drive. This left me concerned on how they drove my vehicle when they put the 100 miles to test the replacement PCM. Angela received the check in the mail for the amount of $67.50. 3/31/2013 - 4/1/2013: The Fusion is in our driveway as we are afraid to drive it. I received a ticket in the mail addressed to my husband and me, stating we went through a tollbooth for the bay bridge on 3/20/2013 at 12:09pm without paying. The ticket said we owed a total of $29.00.4/2/2013: I went to Future Ford and asked to speak with the General Manager of all operations for the location. William said he was the General Manager of sales and could assist. I politely declined but gave him the copy of the ticket and waited 14 minutes for him to return. He tried to review the issue with me but I politely declined. He asked me to wait another moment. I waited for 2 minutes until he returned and brought me to the Service area to speak with a Service Manager. I politely declined and asked to speak with the General Manager of all operations for the location. Rick ** assisted me 2 minutes later. I advised Rick ** (General Manager of Future Auto Center of Concord) of my issues, concerns, and request for the buyback. We discussed the situation. He seemed to have a realistic understanding of my situation and advised he would attempt to bring the issue to the manufacturer’s attention again and contact me on 4/3/2013 to touch base or provide feedback. Rick also confirmed a check would be in the mail the following day for the Fast Trac ticket. I emailed Rick ** my letter for my buyback request, and the timeline (up-to-date timeline).4/3/2013: I received an email from Rick **: “Thanks for the information and sharing your concerns. I have spoken to our Ford Zone Manager for Fixed Operations and provided him your information. I have asked him to review the information and see if there is anything else that can be done. He has told me that he will be contacting you in the next 24 hours and will have the file reviewed, which may take a few days. If you could please shoot me an email when you hear from him, I would appreciate it.”4/3/2013: I received a call from Brian with Ford Motor Company who advised me of his meeting and conversation from Rick **. He stated he intended to escalate my situation and concerns with Ford Motor Company and request my file be reviewed again. He stated he would follow up no later than 3 business days. I replied to Rick **’s email: “Rick, Thank you for your follow-up email. I appreciate your involvement and pursuit of my concerns. Brian called after leaving the Concord Future Ford office and advised he would escalate my situation with Ford Motor Company. I should hear from Brian within the next 3 business days.” 4/4/2013: The Fusion is in our driveway as we are afraid to drive it.My husband and I were both excited and anxious to purchase a new car. The monetary commitment involved in this investment was daunting to us, so when making this decision, we naturally looked toward Ford, a company we have always trusted. Regrettably, the ensuing debacle we have become embroiled in to obtain a Lemon Law buyback has made us second guess the decision entirely. We feel it is apparent that there is a failure on the part of Ford to address this issue in a timely manner. According to the Lemon Law of California, part of the criteria to have the company buy back a vehicle is that the owner is unable to use the vehicle for 30 days due to an automotive problem that puts the owner’s safety at risk. This is exactly what has transpired, and yet we were denied by Ford Motor Company for the buyback request. As a result, we are now taking any and every action reasonable to obtain a buyback. Further, we have engaged in a grassroots campaign on Facebook, created fliers, and pursued other creative methods to inform the public of the poor treatment and problems we have endured by purchasing this particular Ford product. In order to rectify this negligence, please assist as follows (listed in order of preference): (1) get the buyback request approved; (2) exchange our current vehicle at no additional cost (unless the new vehicle is of a greater cost than the original overall cost including all taxes, fees, incentives, and cash down). We agree to honor the difference in mileage at a prorated price to ensure this costly imposition is resolved in the quickest, safest, and most satisfactory way. Thank you in advance for your help.

I was scammed when purchasing a used Ford F150 2007, total of payments $48,681.36. The paper work I signed didnt have that total on it, I would have never signed for a used vehicle for that amount. Thats a down payment on a house. Out of all the years of buying a vehicle I never was ever scammed. Like this, its now 2014 still paying $6,834.64. Santander purchase my loan from Citifinancial bank. Can anyone help with this matter? I write a letter to Santander explaining this matter and they took away 3 payments that I already paid. Scammed and helpless.

Have thought to write reviews before, then decided not for fear of upsetting local dealership who keeps my lesser half on an even keel. The thing is, I just spent the full first day of my vacation trying to make sure my Ford was not going to screw me over on this trip. And this is the 4th or 5th time that the Ford has played a major role on a vacation--as saboteur each time. Have never had a vehicle that actively impacted vacations before. Its like the Ford knows! All I can relate it to, is going on vacation with a passive-aggressive person that you are obligated to take along. Not pleasant.2016 New Ford: Dealership dragged butts getting customizations done, and even though gave weeks of lead time, was left taking loaner vehicle (without all the camping customizations) on the big trip I was excited that Ford was going to make amazing. 2016 First Camping Trip w/ *My* Ford: Had 3,000 miles on it. Camped in middle of nowhere with no cell coverage and no people. Ford blew its engine. Yes. It really did. A passing car relayed my info to the Platinum Plan Roadside Assistance for me (remember, I am left stranded in the forest). Fords roadside assistance apparently told them I was too remote for them to send a tow. So they abandoned me. Left me in forest to die. Totally Benghazid me. But these *strangers* did not. They called around and found a local tow guy who would go out there and get me and my new paper-weight: the Ford. The guy towed me to local dealership some 60 miles away. The Ford dealership could not be bothered on a weekend to get me a rental car, and was located outside of town. Me and dogs had to walk several miles into town and back out when Home Dealership from 200 miles away sent trailer to pick up the Ford. It turns out that each local dealer apparently has own way of handling warranty work and this other dealership did not consider me their problem since I did not buy it there, nor did they have any idea what this Platinum Plan amounted to.2017 Flat Tire In Middle of Nowhere: Could not figure out the surprisingly complicated tire delivery system that had to be assembled and unlocked and operated. So tried calling Ford Roadside Assistance. They had no idea either. Nor could they send a tow truck because it turns out Platinum Plan only good for $100 tow. No worries! I eventually figured it out, just thought could make a quick call and get a minute of help to seed things up but spent an hour getting zero help instead. Made it home tired from expedition, and in dark, also having spent 2 extra hours in the dark getting tire changed.2017 Flat Tire Near Home. Ok, this time I knew how to get tire down. But could not get flat wheel off truck! Had to call tow truck because wheel corrosion welded onto axle courtesy of Ford dissimilar metals causing electrolysis and corrosion. Sure, everyone uses aluminum wheels. Yet Ford is only one that wheel simply would not come off for me. I tried kicking it and almost broke foot. Tried prying it and damaged wheel. By the way, Ford Platinum Plan Roadside Assistance insisted I was over 60 miles away from my home or some such and so refused to tow me there (too far). However, the person was unable to make sense of where I was and could not even find me on map--so no idea how she knew the distance. At any rate, having lived here for 20 years, I assured her I was only 10 miles from house but she refused or could not override what the system that did not know where I was at was telling her for the distance. I called the roadside assistance that came with my car insurance and they sent a tow truck... to change the tire. The tow guy had to get under truck that was up on jack and pound on wheel with 5lb hammer. He suggested I carry 5lb hammer, block of wood, and some extra jack stands to make truck somewhat safer for crawling under it and pounding.2018 Flat Tire. Tried loosening lugs but lug wrench would not fit them?!? Had it been swapped at dealership? So made calls around neighborhood (over a few miles, I live in the country) and found one with a star wrench. Went and got it. Jacked up truck and wheel would not come off again. Tried pounding on it but had not invested in 5lb hammer yet. Presumed kicking it would not work. Did not bother with Fords POS Platinum Plan Roadside Assistance. Called the roadside assistance I got separately through my car insurance. They sent a tow truck. To change the tire. That guy was big and he gave the wheel a hard kick and it came loose. I am an AARP member and suspect I would have broken my foot. At any rate, got wheel swapped out. Next day I spent entire first day of my vacation on the Ford. It was a 70 mile round trip to take it to dealership to get patched. They could not he bothered and so it would take several hours for them to do it. I made a day of it and did some exploring to another town and left some lovely painted memorial rocks at a spot that was special to my departed ex. Rather than preparing for trip. Then I went to house, got the star and returned it to neighbor. Then rested a couple hours and went back to town to get patched spare. I took the truck. Here is where it gets extra interesting.I had them rotate all the tires so if I need to change a flat they will be temporarily broken loose. IF YOU HAVE A FORD TRUCK, do this before any expedition. Regarding the lug wrench, that turns out to be another issue with Ford materials and engineering (like with the dissimilar metals and no coating/treatment to prevent corrosion welds). The lug nuts *swell*. Thats right. Ford makes their lug nuts out of some high-tech passive-aggressive living metal that can sense a vacation and swell by a couple millimeters, rendering it impossible to remove them with the factory lug wrench!?! Who knew??? I did not. No, you cannot hammer wrench onto lug. I tried that. These things *really swell*. You have to get a 22mm wrench to fit on the 21mm lugs. You have to go buy a new wrench. IF YOU ARE A FORD TRUCK OWNER buy a new lug wrench after a year or so, or it may simply be impossible to change a tire on your expedition and you could die in the wilderness from a flat tire. So both the corrosion weld and the swollen nuts issues are known by Ford. In googling, there have even been lawsuits! Yet, here we still are.To wrap up this review, will say that back in the day, IBM had a list of priorities go meet when rolling out a new product whether it was a storage medium or a mainframe. Number 1 priority? Do the customer no harm. Customer safety was #1 priority. They did not want you to even cut your finger on a sharp edge. But Ford seems to think it is no big deal if you--surprise!--cant change your tire ‘cause their magical nuts swelled. Well they have not traveled with me.Back in the day I drove all through Mexico and Central America. I was careful in choosing my rigs for the expedition: Nissan pickup (with *3* spare tires--I went through *all* of them), BMW motorcycle. They both served me well, had zero problems other than tires. One flat was in the dangerous Peten region of Guatemala. The military had been hunting down and killing armed highwaymen in the area right when I was passing through. I got a flat!!! On the Nissan, it took 5 minutes to swap that ** out and be on my way. Thank you God I did not take a Ford Truck. IF YOU ARE A FORD TRUCK OWNER do not take it on any expedition where your life could be at risk from a breakdown. My experience is that they (based, admittedly, on only one ownership experience) simply are not reliable and trustworthy enough for that use. Use them as you would a Mini Cooper, for fun jaunts around town--except you can haul/tow stuff with the Ford! Not for an expedition, where lives are on the line and there is no safety net. Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, *Honduras*--even parts of Mexico? The magic lug nuts surprise would have almost surely cost me my life. Still might.Look, Im older now. Have had spinal surgeries and such. Really do not need to be under a truck raised up on a jack, pounding on wheel w/ 5lb hammer. Just might end up pinned under truck. So... if that happens and I am found dead in middle of nowhere under my hateful passive-aggressive Ford? Please someone sue the crap out of Ford for me, in my memory.

Two weeks ago l took delivery on a new ordered Ford Lariat f150, paying 52000 plus tax in full. Beautiful high end truck with 20 inch chrome wheels. Two days after taking delivery I was installing wheel locks. I noticed one rim was damaged with two 1/8 by 1/8 by 1/8 puncture marks in the chrome which were starting to show signs of rust and had fine scratches in the chrome as someone tried to remove the defect. It appears that someone dropped the rim and tire on some sort of sharp object. I returned to the Ford dealer where they took pictures and filed a complaint with Ford. Declined, they appealed a second time and that was declined by Ford. The dealer has offered a new rim for an additional 500 plus dollars. Advice, just because a vehicle is expensive and new check the cosmetics of the vehicle THOROUGHLY. Dont close the deal if you see any cosmetic damage. Dont expect Ford to provide ANY assistance for this type of damage.

On December of 2010, I had transmission problems and we then had it replaced at Gates Automotive 73 Marway Circle Rochester, NY 14624; phone 585-247-3844. Then in March of 2012, we received a recall notice stating that there is a recall on the torque converter. So now that we received the notice this month that there is an official recall, they are denying the claim because it does not have specifics of the torque converter being the case, but does indicate the same problems of having park, no forward or reverse on van. I had them replace the transmission not knowing Ford was recalling it at that time because of it being two years prior to any letter. Now because the receipt does not indicate that it was a torque converter, they will not honor the refund on this job. I had spoken with a couple of individuals from the 1-800-232-5952 customer relationship center and still no headway. The company did not pull the transmission apart because no one knew of a recall. I would have rather paid for a torque converter than a whole transmission.

2012 3.5 ltr Ecoboost. Shame on Ford. I purchased a used one owner 2012 with 90k miles on it. Got to use it for about 15k more miles and then it had the same problem so many others have. Timing chain issues. Quotes from 2500 to 3500 to repair. Very poor design for many year models. Ford should be ashamed for not taking care of such a major problem. I had to eat some major negative equity on a trade to be free of this problem. The days of holding your head high for being a Ford owner are long gone. Shame on you, Bill Ford.

Ford’s customer relations call center is not worth the time or effort. We have two Ford Escapes in our family and I drive a Ford Escape as my company car. My company vehicle is still under factory warranty. I had a concern with my company vehicle so I called the customer care phone number, a case number was assigned and I was given a contact number with an extension. When I call the number, I received a recorded message to leave my case number along with a contact phone number and my call would be returned in the next 24 hours. Over the past few weeks I have called this number and left several messages, never received a call back. Calling the Ford Customer Care Center has only added more frustration to an already difficult situation. As it stands right now, I have no intention of ever purchasing another Ford vehicle and am planning on sharing my experience with our company’s fleet manager.

2014 FORD EDGE - A high pitch noise started coming from engine compartment
2014 FORD EDGE - A high pitch noise started coming from engine compartment one evening with the vehicle sitting in the garage. The next morning the car was totally dead. Jumped it and local mechanic diagnosed it to a mechanism sticking in the transmission. With only 50,000 miles on the car he recommended dealer service since it should be warrantied still. Already knowing the problem, I made an appointment with the nearest Ford dealer, who was an hour away. I gave them all the information from my mechanic and they gave me a rental car so I could get home and work the next day.The following day they call and say the professionally installed aftermarket auto-start was malfunctioning and they unhooked it and the car was now fine. So I have to pay for the rental car and the shop time, couple hundred dollars. The day after I get home with my wifes car it will not start again. I put a charger on the battery and it will not take a charge. The dealer says they will warranty the battery so I bring it down again to get the battery replaced on a Saturday morning. This will be my 3rd round trip to the dealer, which is an hour away. They replace the battery but make me pay 50 dollars for the new one. The only reason the battery got wrecked was because they left the car outside after I dropped it off and allowed it to drain completely. This should not have happened. I specifically told them they need to bring the car in or put a battery maintainer on it due to the mechanism drawing power constantly with the car off. But they tell me it was not their fault and I have to pay for the battery. After paying for the battery and again being reassured that the auto-start is still the problem and it has been unhooked so I can drive the car until it is repaired, I head to my vehicle to go home. As I approach the car I hear the same high pitch noise that started the whole ordeal! So I promptly go back into the service department and bring the service manager out to hear the noise and tell him it still is not fixed and I am not leaving until they figure it out. They bring it in and actually do a diagnostic on the car and discover that the mechanism is sticking! Exactly what my original, non FORD TECHNICIAN, diagnosed two weeks earlier. They tell me they need to get it in to do more tests before they can order a part but it will not be for 3 weeks until they can look at it again.3 WEEK LATER. I drop the car off, not yet even knowing if they will be covering the repairs under warranty yet or not on this less than 2 yr old vehicle with just over 50000 miles on it. The next day they call and say they have to replace the mechanism and it will be under warranty. It is going be a few days to get the part and get it done. Understandable and we await them calling to tell us it is done.A few days go by and no word. I call and the Service manager says they put the part in but need to do more tests. He calls me back a few hours later and says the computer that is controlling the drive train is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. It is under warranty and they are waiting on the part. I call them next week for a status, my wife and I both work full time and live 8 mile out of town so we rely on 2 vehicles. With different schedules to keep and her needing a vehicle to transport items during the day, we have been begging and borrowing rides for a month already. They say it is on back order and it will be another month and a half until the part is received. I ask if there is any kind of rental assistance or a loaner vehicle we can use until it is fixed. The main reason I am concerned is this is a week before christmas and that is the busiest time of the year for my wife and I and the worst time to be down to one vehicle. They tell me to come get a rental and Ford should cover it. A few days after we get the rental, the dealer calls and says Ford will not pay for a rental and we are going to have to pay for it ourselves. At this point I have made 5 trips to the dealer, who is an hr away one way, paid for mechanic time, battery replacement, and car rental on a problem that should have been covered under warranty. So I ask who I need to talk to about this because I feel as if the dealer is not handling it properly. I get referred to a regional manager 3 TIMES from for customer service and finally on the 3rd time the manager calls me. He, very rudely and arrogantly tells me that warranty does not cover rental or car assistance and we dont qualify for assistance programs. I ask him why we dont and he tells me that he cannot tell me why and he has the final say on it.So I call for corporate offices, feeling like there is no way they could treat someone so ** and care so little for their customers and their satisfaction with their products. After speaking with a very pleasant customer relations lady, the next day the dealer calls and says they will cover the car until the 1st of the year. The status as of today is we still do not have our car fixed. We returned the rental car and paid another 114 dollars for keeping 3 days past the 1st of the year, even though they were not open on the 1st to return the vehicle anyway. And we have no idea when we will even get our vehicle fixed because Ford cannot tell the dealer when a part will be available. Problem started November 10th 2015 and this was written on January 6th 2016. Do NOT buy any FORD PRODUCTS EVERY! Warning! Horrible customer service!

I purchased a 2019 Edge ST and its already been to the dealership twice. Neither of which they have confirmed anything (on paper). My transmission gets to 3rd gear then comes out of gear, continuing to rev, before finally kicking over to 4th gear after a couple of seconds. Same gear, every time. First time I took it in (January 2019), they said the tech couldnt duplicate it, so I took him for a drive. He saw what it was doing but because his little laptop didnt show anything, he wrote on the work order he couldnt confirm the issue. They cleared the adaptive learning it apparently has and all was fine for a couple of weeks. Then, same gear, same issue. Took it back (March 2019). Same response - cant confirm and its not throwing a code soooo... here I sit. It also jumps forward when trying to slow down (ie pull into parking spot or stop sign) but I wont even make the attempt to get them to duplicate that issue.

Recently when driving my vehicle, which is one year out of warranty, Ive found that my car stops suddenly in the middle of the road, with traffic behind me! A small wrench light comes on, the car starts shaking and stops driving. I have to turn off and restart the car to get it going again, until it feels like dying again. Ive gotten stuck now 1-3 times a day, once in the middle of a busy intersection. Once it happened on the highway, and luckily no one was directly behind me for the moment, and I was able to limp my car to the shoulder (3 lanes over). My car gives me no limp-ability any longer.Ford gives me no satisfaction, although they acknowledge that this has happened with other years & models, and offered a temporary fix program (it appears to be a defective throttle body that needs to be replaced) for some of those vehicles, but that temporary deal is over now. I refuse to pay Ford to fix my problem, and now just plan to get rid of this vehicle and never buy a Ford again.

Writing this because people have been complaining about this and wondering which direction to turn? My daughters boyfriend was in need of a new car. I suggested the Ford Fusion so he purchased a new 2016 in December. The car now has 10,000 miles on it and it stopped running. We have had the car in the local dealership and they have found wires that have been chewed by rodents that number one are not covered by warranty. After going on to Google, I have found that this is a problem that many new car companies are finding. The wiring that is being used is of a material that rodents love and find irresistible to chew. My question is who is going to pay for this if warranty doesnt cover this? Do we have to sue? Also who do we sue? This is not going to be inexpensive? Just really cant believe with all the people complaining that something is not being done. Please respond -- you can call me **.

Ive had 2 vehicles now that have had this problem, 2014 Escape & my new 2015 Explorer. With both vehicles the leather gets a dark color on the seat backs not the seats themselves. Ive been told numerous times Ford warranty wont cover it because they dont classify this as a defect. They tell me its a fabric transfer. How can it be a fabric transfer when I wear white most of the time because I live in Florida? So today I get a reply from Pauline in the Ford customer service department stating Ford will not do anything to fix this problem. I know Im not the only Ford owner with this problem. So Ive invested $200 on specially made seat covers for the explorer because of the airbags. Needless to say this is my last investment in a Ford product. Im just plain tired of arguing with a brick wall. The dealership had one of their people put shoe polish on as a temporary fix. REALLY!?! Id like to hear if any other Ford owners have had this same problem. Feel free to email me: **. I know Im not crazy, that this is a problem Ford just doesnt want to fix. I have a 2012 Ford F350 with 59,300 miles on it. The first transmission service is due at 60,000 miles so I took it to Spradley Barr Ford in Colorado. They advised me that all I needed to do was flush the system and NOT drop the pan to change the filter, that is not needed until the next service at 120,000 miles according to them. I said I wanted the filter changed for an additional $ 120.00 or so. Good thing I did because they found a bunch of metal in the pan. They are covering it under warranty, however they have had my WORK truck for TWO MONTHS and four days now due to a back ordered part. They have told me THREE times that it will be in soon, what a bunch of crap. Ford has rebuilt transmissions in crates available but they just said Too bad. So sad for you. You can wait. Ford is useless and has no customer service in mind. Previously I had a 2002 Ford F350 diesel for fourteen years (2002-2016), I guess Ford loyalty is in the trash. The dealer even said Ford is not supporting the dealerships, WOW what a statement. If I EVER get my truck back it will be sold ASAP and off to Chevy I go. Furthermore I called their customer service line (a misnomer at best) and what does Ford do? They send you a questionnaire that asks if the call taker was polite, helpful etc... Nothing about what is going on, nor did I receive a call or Email about it - poof its just gone. Ford has lost all concept of customer service. Good riddance Ford.

So again nothing, I have to wait and see if this supervisor will respond....I will keep calling and posting because this is the only way that I may help others not to make the same mistake and purchase a navigation system update by using the USB that Ford is selling for 152 dollars.Updated on 02/12/2020: After I received an email from Ford customer service said that I need to call the Ford dealer director....after a month 1/2....I decided to call today again and I call 7 times asking for help....the last person that I talked to told me that I have to call 18009008458....navigation system customer support, so I spoke with Melanie, explain my problem and you are not going to believe this, she said that there is nothing she can do, that I have to call Ford customer service 18003923673...again. I call 7 times today....Sorry you have to call back so they can call us.... call us....I pay 154 for an update on my navigation system and 107 to fix the part that was damage by the USB that Ford send me and now there is no one who is responsible to all this and there is nothing that I can do to have my money back.Original Review: Im the owner of a Ford F150 and I was advised by a letter from Ford motor company that my navigation system needed an update and for me to be able to have it I have to purchase. Went to the website and after writing down the VIN number and the navigation system code I paid 175 dollars. After a fews day I received and USB with all the installed instructions. The truck need to be running and it will take around 60 minutes, so I sat and followed the instructions, after a few seconds my screen was white and said navigation system error and then the alarm of the truck went off and the radio. So I decided to call to the number that it was showing in the USB box. Customer support. I was talking to a person name Jasmin. Tried really because her background was a baby crying, so she put me on hold. Wait and wait. I decided to call my Ford dealership and explain the situation. The only solution it was for me to drove and get my battery. That resolve the sound problem, but my navigation system was white and showed a navigation error. So I decided to made an appointment to the following day which was Monday at 9am. Monday the only person who does fix this type of problem show up and say, I dont have time today, come back tomorrow, maybe tomorrow. maybe? So I need another appointment to Thursday at 8am. There I was listening to the manager talking to customer service. Doesnt she has a guarantee? Yes she has. Well let order the part. Part? I just need an update. As a result I have to paid another 107. The USB that I received from Ford motor company damaged my navigation system and a part needed to be replaced. I call Ford motor complaint department and explain all the situation, and after a month of calls and emails I received an email said this is the director phone number for you to call it. What I want, I want my money back thats all. There was nothing wrong with my pickup before all this update thing. Did I got my update. I dont think so no.

In 2014 December I bought two brand new Ford transit connects with bumper to bumper 3 year 36000 mile warranty on both vehicles. Both vehicles encountered heater vibration problems and electrical problems with the lights. Took both vehicles to Ford and they worked on the first one by removing the center console to see what the problem was and they found a rodents nest and body parts which they clean up and removed, but it was not covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. It cost me out of pocket over 400.00 dollars. The lights they said that it wasnt the bulb but rodents also had eaten the wires which again it not cover either under the bumper to bumper warranty so I could not see paying any more but that cost me 90.00 more dollars. So I was not willing to pay to have the second transit looked at.My wife and I both had no luck with Fords main office service because they said it wasnt their fault that rodents are eating the wiring and nesting in the heater unit. Disgusted with their answer I asked why are they using soy oil in their wiring insulation, seat foam plus the numerous pounds of recycled plastics and gasket materials. Its like a buffet for the rodents, they told theyre being green! When I wrote the checks for both these vehicles at Ford I did not see anything about them using recycled crap in these brand new vehicles, if I did I would not have bought them. I told the person that contacted us Why dont you smear steak sauce all over the car. But by using soy oil in the manufacturing its the same results with the rodent problem. While we were at Ford they laughed and said we were lucky they had a new car in the shop last week that was towed in because rodents had enjoyed eating most of the wiring but they said their insurance company paid thousands of dollars to repair it, why is it the insurance companys problem when Ford is inviting disaster by using soy oil in the manufacturing process so they can say theyre green. But the consumers are not aware of this. My grandfather worked and retired from Ford motor company, hes rolling over in his grave now.I have always bought Fords since I have been driving. Never have I had issues like this before, their smug attitudes that its not their fault rodents are the problem, I say it is their fault for using soy oil and recycled crap for gaskets wiring insulation seat foam and trim products. There should be a class action law suit against them for the repairs. But theyre not the only ones doing it. Something needs to be done, Maybe the United States steel workers union needs to put up pick lines on all the dealerships to let people know theyre going to left in the cold.

The 1998 Mercury Mountaineer is a durable reliable car and I was able to get a good deal. It was only $2000 and has over 150,000 miles on it. The color is dark green and I like how it has a sun roof and that it has all-wheel drive. We have owned this car for about two years and hasnt been expensive to keep up with maintenance. The car only gets about 12 miles to the gallon so I wish that the gas mileage could be improved and be like that of the Honda I used to own.

I bought my daughter a Ford Focus 2016 with about 47000 miles. 3 weeks ago the engine exploded with 53327 miles!!! But Ford doesn’t care!!! They don’t that it was only a few months out of power train warranty, but only time wise not mileage wise! I am really disappointed! I was looking to buy a Ford Bronco but now I will not buy a Ford or an affiliate brand again, until now we had only 2 Ford and 2 Lincoln which is Ford too but that will change now. I will have car brands that are proud of their products and take care of their customers that gave you 10 years and 100,000 miles warranty I’m sorry Ford is dead to me and my Family.

I had to have the intake manifold replaced on my 1997 Ford Crown Victoria LX this year, 2014. Ford has acknowledged this flaw, avoided having an official recall issued, notified their Fleet & Commercial consumers and, quietly, without any sort of notification, offered private owners a repair/repair reimbursement offer that was only in effect for 90 days. This is an outrage! I want to be reimbursed for the money I had to spend to have this repair done. ANYBODY ELSE WITH ME ON THIS?!?

Ford Motor Company ignored and did not respond to our complaint about serious defect in the cruise control! We have a 2021 Ford Transit 3500 with only 2,200 miles. While cruise was set at 70 mph driving on I-5 in Late October it slowed automatically to about 40 MPH while in right lane as we were approaching a traffic slow down in both lanes. We moved into the left passing lane at about 35 MPH at that time and traffic was starting to slow down when suddenly and surprisingly the Adaptive Cruise Control accelerated violently towards a vehicle in the left lane which was stopping quickly directly in front of us. It was like we were going into warp drive on Star Trek Enterprise with another truck almost stopped right before us! It happened so fast that it seemed hitting the brakes did not slow us down or cancel the cruise control. We had a horrible collision with the truck in front of us at maybe going about 45 to 50MPH causing deployment of the front airbags. It has been so very disappointing that Ford Motor Company did not respond to my appeal on 10/29/2021 to answer our concern when I communicated with the online representative on the Ford Website. The associate I communicated with would not answer my questions or address the issue so I asked for her to forward this concern to her supervisor or manager, which she agreed to. I also called the general Manager at Damerow Ford in Beaverton Oregon and explained the situation. I had ordered the truck through them from the factory. The result was also zero help and guidance also.My auto insurance carrier did not want to address this issue saying that since the personal injury was minor it did not merit them getting involved investigating the possible defect in Fords product. We sustained back and neck injury and are still experiencing pain from the wreck 2 months ago. Also the truck is at a dealer now awaiting repairs and rebuilding. I would like to recommend that to save lives, injury and damage to property that Adaptive cruise control from Ford Motor Company be used with extreme caution until the manufacturer stops ignoring this concern and does their job to protect their customer.

I took my truck to Sheehy Ford for a engine issue. Basically the truck would shut off while driving down the road. The dealer said we should replace the head studs, head gaskets, injector seals, fuel seals, oil passage seals. I was okay with all of that costing estimated $7000 and about 26 labor hours. That was 4+ months ago. They have had my truck for 4+ months. They replaced my radiator, why??? I dont know and the service manager doesnt know either. But Im sure Im getting billed for that somehow. Face to face I asked the service manager why they replaced my radiator. He said I dont know. I went to the shop to get some camping stuff out of my truck and was there for about 25-30 minutes. There were 6 vehicles in the shop and not one technician in there working. At one point a tech walked in the back door and grabbed an oil pan and brought it over to a van but dropped it and walked up to the front. I dont trust what they are doing mechanically to my truck. They in theory replaced my high pressure oil pump, but once it was all back together they had zero oil pressure. Did they replace it??? Well even the old oil pump was giving some oil pressure. I cant get a response from the service manager anymore and I had to call Ford motor company. So far Tina has done a good job corresponding between me and the dealer but Im not getting anywhere. Again 4+ months and over $4000 in rental car bills. I have yet to get my truck back and am still making payments and insurance on a truck I can not use. I wouldnt trust them to change my head light.

2016 Ford Escape 1.6 engine - I bought this Ford Escape because I have always bought Fords, American made. When I bought this Ford I was happy with the deal and the vehicle, shook the salesman hand and was told, Youre getting a really good vehicle here. You keep up the oil changes and get new tires when needed, you probably will have this vehicle for a very long time. I commute 170 miles round trip per day to work from home. Averaging about 35,000-40,000 per year. Current mileage was 85,000 miles when driving down the road and vehicle began to lose power and the engine RPM increased. On the cluster red wrench light came on transmission fault service now and I could not accelerate. And the car decelerated rapidly. I managed to get the vehicle back to the house. Started it the next morning and got about 3 miles from the house when it repeated the same issues.I arranged for a flatbed to transport my vehicle to the local Ford dealership to get the vehicle diagnosed. Was informed from the service rep that the computer was indicating No Pressure and Improper Gear Ratio. Was told that Ford recommends to replace the entire transmission, which quoted a price of $4,700.00 for the part and an additional $1,500 to $2,000 for labor to remove and install the transmission. Warranty on a replaced transmission would be 100,000 miles and 3 years. What I do not understand is if a replacement transmission has this warranty, why does not a transmission in a vehicle built from the factory have the same warranty? Vehicle was no longer under the Ford standard Powertrain Warranty of 60,000 miles so, cost was all out of pocket.Service rep made the recommendation of contact Ford Service Customer Care and submit a claim. Made the call that evening and within 2 days received a response, stating: We have thoroughly reviewed your request and after careful consideration we regret that Ford is not able to provide financial assistance to address your issue. We are sorry that we were not able to meet your expectations at this time and recommend you continue to work with your Ford dealership to provide the best service for your vehicle in the future. So much for customer care. I understand that the vehicle has 85,000 but still it is only a 2 year old vehicle. Under the Ford Maintenance Schedule for a 2016 Ford Escape, the transmission is not to be serviced till 150,000 miles, which is just an oil change. I have had this vehicle serviced religiously with Ford for all oil changes, tire rotations or any other mechanical issue. Always have had a multi-point inspection done as well on the vehicle. Just had this vehicle serviced the month prior to this event and received a green check across the board on everything.Would recommend having your transmission looked at more closely in this vehicle, can be a costly overlook to you by your Ford service department. Needless to say, was not happy with Ford handling of this situation and especially the Ford Customer Care Relationship Center. Must be easy for someone to push a button saying No, when they do not need to put their name on a response and account for their actions.

I bought a brand new Mustang GT in the summer of 18. I traded a pristine 14 JKU and a 2003 Corvette in on this car. 2 vehicles I loved very much. The Jeep was still like brand new with almost no miles. Anyway, I bought this Mustang and drove this thing very cautiously hoping a gentle break in would ensure long drivetrain longevity. This car has never even done a burnout. Well, the engine started making a rattling noise like a diesel Around 500 miles. The interior had a random rattle and the transmission would often grind going in to 3rd and 4th as well as being resistant to pull out of 3rd gear. This car zat for a total of 32 days in the few months I owned it. Ford put a new short block in it at 2,000. Basically the car was no longer brand new as the front end was completely disassembled. I asked Ford for an msrp swap and they said no. I asked them to reimburse me the amount of monthly payments in proportion to how long the car zat and they said no because they dont have confidence Ill stay with the brand. I traded 2 fantastic vehicles for this pile of garbage and Ford had no interest in satisfying their customer. I buy a new car every few years and had Ford treated me well they would have had another guaranteed sale from me as I bought my wife a new car in Dec 19. We were going to buy an Explorer. Unfortunately Ill NEVER buy another Ford and I urge you to research the engine/ transmission failures in basically every Ford model in production. Im making it a life mission to share my experience with the general public in hopes that I can prevent them from having the same horrific experience I did. Have a nice day.

Fast forward to August 2016 and my transmission no longer goes into 3rd gear. I call Sun State Ford and leave a message, wait 2 days... no call back, I call again, no call back, call again next week, no call back. This process continues on for another 2-3 weeks until I finally got back from my travels abroad and decide to call them and act like a new customer. This time I do get a call back and they are more than happy to sell me a new car with their wonderful 15 year 150k mile warranty. After I get all the info I need and confirmation that drivetrain will be covered for 15 years and 150k miles, I change up the story and tell them about the car I bought and how the Finance Manager thats in charge of warranty claims like mine will not speak to me or return my calls.Fast forward 10 minutes of back and fort Q&A from Sun State Ford customer service rep and she tells me Im going to walk to the other side of our campus and have the manager call you directly, please allow me no more than 5 minutes. I oblige and thank her for her wonderful customer service and help, considering shes been the only one to ease my headache of 3 weeks now, almost a month. 5 minutes go by, 10 minutes go by, 15 mins go by, 30 mins go by. I call back, no answer. I call the customer service department... NO ANSWER! Are you ** kidding me???Now, I will be driving 1000 miles in my ** Sun State Ford in Orlando, FL from Baltimore, MD just to raise hell. At the same time I have paid my lawyer $400 to start working on my case. Good luck Ford and Sun State Ford in Orlando FL. Have fun fixing my car and paying me for it. 1/10 Service. 2012 Ford Escape - Paint is peeling on both left and right rear wheel wells and the surface is starting to rust. When I reported problem to Ford Dealer they told me to get a repair estimate. I did and they told me they would have to submit it to Ford for approval. They said if I had purchased rust proofing it would have been covered. My position is that if the paint had not peeled there would be no rust. This problem has been identified on many other reviews and at the body shop where I obtained the estimate. I am prepared to take this issue to our provincial auto ombudsman if Ford does not take responsibility.

Part unavailable for my 2015 F-350. I purchased this truck in April of this year. It is a King Ranch. Shortly after picking up the truck a couple of warning lights came on. Took it back to the dealership and was told it needs a RCM Harness which was currently unavailable. The truck was still in warranty so I left it with the dealership awaiting a part. That was April 19, 2019. The truck is still there and there is no ETA on this part. Ford customer service has sent me an email regularly saying there is no idea when this will be available. In the meantime I have a brand new camper (5th wheel) and no way to use it. I have been told this is not uncommon for this model and I wonder why it is taking so long for a part to be available. I feel Ford as well as the dealership should offer some serious compensation for this as the previous owner traded it due to this problem (he told me) and the dealership did not disclose it however Ford has not addressed the issue.

Recently my car was smelling like gas, so we pulled it out of the garage for a day not sure if that was actually the problem. Again after leaving it in the garage over night the smell was very strong of gasoline. We took it to a shop right up the street thinking that maybe it was a gas filter issue but once they lifted the car up it was clear that there was a gas leak at seam or the half full level as described by the automotive technician. We were referred to the Ford dealer. We called the dealer who informed us that there was a recall on the gas tank for this vehicle and to bring the car in. I paid over 80 dollars to have the car towed to Avis Ford in Southfield, Mi. from Belleville, Mi. Only to be told that there was a mistake and that the 2009 Edge was not included in the recall. After doing further research I have found that many Ford models from 2007-2014 have had gas tank leak issues. Manufacturer related not customer related damage to the tank. It frightens me to think that something as important as the gas tank should EVER leak because of manufacturer NEGLIGENCE and then when addressed with the dealer, the same dealer that my family has purchased 6 cars from that I would be told it wasnt covered. So when does the recall actually go into effect on a car/part? Does it take us dying or being seriously injured to create a recall on something as serious as a gas tank? I travel with an infant in my backseat 5 days per week and cannot imagine a gas related fire in my car with a baby in a 5 point restraint car seat and being able to get them out safely in an event such as that. I have always purchased my vehicles based on safety ratings first, but I guess the Ford built Edge is a hoax for customers like me.Prior to todays car problems, I had my car into Avis Ford several times for transmissions problems. Gear slippage within the first year of ownership and continuously over the years. They could never find anything wrong with it. The problem got so bad that I took the car to Precision Tune on 8 mile where the Master Mechanic said my transmission was bad, the fluid inside was black and take it to the dealer and I would need a new transmission. I went to the dealer and my car was still under warranty. I showed them the Info from the shop I had just came from. They kept the car a few days, said it was just a leak. They repaired the so called leak and said I did not need a new transmission.Few months pass and I return to the dealer with the same issues and I am no longer under the warranty. Im then given an estimate of $4600.00 worth of transmission related work. I feel like Ive been sold a $ 40,000.00 LEMON and only have 60,000 miles on it. Sadly I will never buy another vehicle from Avis Ford nor suggest anyone I know to either. I have decided to notify the BBB, the NTSB and whatever agencies govern these issues.

I recently purchased a 2016 Ford Expedition. This vehicle is extremely noisy and I am unable to get any contact from Ford Motor Company. I have a case number and a contact, Mark **, who does not call me back. I have left at least six messages on his voice mail. This is my 3rd Expedition, Ford replaced the V-8 Engine that was in my earlier models with a V-6, added a very noisy fan to cool the AC system without notification to the buyer. My dealer has contacted Engineering and they say they do not have a problem and that the noise is Normal?? They do have a problem and need to provide a solution or terminate their engineers. The mechanics and Service manager and dealer at my dealership agree that the car is very noisy and believe Ford also went cheap on the AC system and that is why engineering put huge fan (noisy) in vehicle, to Cover their back end! I would not recommend the 2016 Expedition or the F-150 with the V-6 to anyone. Vehicle is not to Ford standards and neither is their Customer Care division.

I drove my truck 5 hours a day except for Sunday. My starter went out in my driveway. It started acting up 2 days before. I decided to have it towed to the Ford dealership near me. My wife told me what the estimate was going to be the next day $5,500. They told her the engine was going to have to be replaced. Even though the motor didnt burning any oil up. It had good suspension and steering or a safety hazard and had many parts to replace. When I spoke with the service manager he told me there were safety issues. The ball joints were going out all the way around. There are no ball joints in the rear. I believe there is no honesty or integrity and the way they run their service department. Most people dont bring an older vehicle to the dealership. But mine is a 2000 and this is 2016. I feel as though you get what you pay for. But not in this case. Looking at the long list of repairs and how important they are their estimate should have been even more than what they told me giving me the impression that the job was probably going to be charged for and not done. Now there is $3,000 that I have for repairs. Overlooking the fact that the truck was brought in just for a starter I tried to negotiate take care of the safety issues which I dont know if Ill be charged and ripped off for. Because the suspension and steering I had been serviced correctly through the years. And to put a starter in add not replace the motor. Lets see if this is going to cost the full $3,000. I bet Im going to be ripped off any way I look at it. Because its my only vehicle and the truck is at the shop and immovable. I fear theyre able to damage my engine and I cant do a thing to fix the situation. Ford service sucks.
