Land Rover is a British brand of predominantly four-wheel drive, off-road capable vehicles, owned by multinational car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover, since 2008 a subsidiary of India's Tata Motors. JLR currently builds Land Rovers in Brazil, China, India, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom.

Off-roading and luxury rarely go hand-in-hand, but the 2020 Land Rover Discovery is the perfect vehicle for this rare intersection of automotive categories. Not only is it a genuine go-anywhere SUV, it's also good at toting the family around town and ticking off errands from your weekend to-do list. It offers space for up to seven in its upscale cabin and buyers can choose from two V-6 engines: either an efficient diesel or a thirsty-but-muscly supercharged gasoline-powered engine. An optional air suspension provides additional ground clearance on demand for when the going gets rough. Cargo space is good unless you're planning on toting both a full-load of passengers and their cargo, but Land Rover will happily sell those folks a roof-top cargo box that will look right at home atop the Discovery's ruggedly styled body.

Product Reviews:

I purchased a 2018 Range Rover Sport with the expectation that a six figure car would have everything sorted and working. I was wrong. The media module decides when it wants to work, doesn't load all of my music and contacts, and won't connect to my iPhone if it doesn't feel like it. I've had it back to the dealer 3 times. They have changed the module and tried everything they can to fix it but I have been told that there is nothing else they can do. Apparently it's an issue between Apple and Land Rover and Land Rover won't pay the fee to Apple for system upgrades, hence issues with Apple phones. It's incredibly frustrating considering the cost of the car and the advertising Land Rover puts out about their 'luxury car' abilities. Their arrogance lets them down badly and doesn't bode well for reputation. I've been left with we'll get in touch when we have a resolution. Not good enough.

The car is amazing! It's very standard but I haven't really had any problems with it so far. It helps me get to the places I need to go without a hassle. My mom loves it! The color has a nice feel to it. I would recommend others to try it out and see if they like it because it's a very good car and I don't see many people with it. It's very spacious and when I need to I can store things in it. I can have up to 5 people in the car. It's a very reliable car. I have had to put new tires on it just to keep it fresh. Overall I haven't had too many upgrades but I would like to change the color up just a bit.

Have a Range Rover Sport- bought in August 2014. The car is 6 months old. The car door handle has fallen off. Range rover claims it is not a warranty problem. Poor customer service. A high end vehicle like Range Rover should stand behind their product. A car that is 6 months old should not be missing a handle!!! Nor should I have to pay out of pocket to get the handle replaced as it should never have fallen off in the first place. Dealership told us they have had numerous cars come in with this issue. A defect in the car??? Maybe Range Rover should stand behind their product and not tell customers that it's a wear n tear problem. Not when the car is NEW.

Purchased a fully loaded 2018 RR Sport on Friday and drove home without issue. The next morning the climate and info system begin shutting down and restarting every 30 seconds. Had the car taken to the dealer Sunday and luckily got ahold of the bank to stop any money from making it to the dealer. Just told them to keep the car. I’m not paying around $100k for a vehicle that needs a repair within 13 hours of driving off the lot. Car had 80 miles on it when I bought it. The fact Land Rover can’t seem to produce a fully functional vehicle amazes me. They essentially make a gorgeous expensive car that looks great on the back of a flatbed truck. Wish a company would buy Land Rover that would then focus more on quality. I was in love with the car but couldn’t be more disappointed with the result. Luckily the dealer was reasonable and let me walk understanding how frustrating this was for me.

Just read all of these reviews. I recently acquired a Land Rover Discovery custom built off of the assembly line. 1200 miles and we experienced a horrific gas leak in the engine. My wife filled up the car and shortly thereafter the entire car was full of gas fumes. LR dispatched a tow truck. The tow company requested that we call the Fire Department before they would touch it. Then they were unable to get it into neutral or drive. Wanted us to sign a waiver releasing them of any issues while transferring the truck. We would not. So hours later they left. We are waiting on another tow truck now. After reading these reviews I am very concerned that I just threw $70,000 down a hole. The vehicle smells terribly of GAS fumes and it does not run. We do not want this car back under any circumstances. Might lead to litigation if we do not get a replacement. Just what you want after buying your wife her first new car in years!!!

It's only two years old and a piece of **. My Rover didn't even make it out of warranty before it had issues. I had replaced the alternator just before the warranty was up. About 4 months after the warranty was up, I had small issues with the vehicle. Exactly 1 year after I replaced the alternator, I had to replace it again, and this alternator is overpriced like you wouldn't believe! My vehicle is now currently sitting in a transmission shop, where they just called and told me that I needed to just trade in my vehicle because I have over 30 codes wrong in the diagnostics. My rear end, and my engine is next to go out in my vehicle! The transmission shop is not even charging me for the service, and he said that he wouldn't feel right fixing the transmission, when the engine in the rear and is about to go out of my vehicle too. I wish that Land Rover was that honest with me when I bought my vehicle. I am a previous Mercedes owner. I will never, in this lifetime, ever purchase another Land Rover.

We bought our 2008 LR2 in early 2007. We have had nothing but headaches with this vehicle since day one. The first day driving, the sunroof seal peeled off and the screen became detached. Then the problems got worse to the point we thought the electrical system was defective. This vehicle has been in the auto dealership repair shop more than my wife and I have seen our doctors. It was so bad that Land Rover had to send an engineer out to look at the vehicle to get an idea what was causing all the problems and it seemed fixed. Lo and behold, the warranty expires and guess what? We start having more problems and costly ones at that. We literally lost our savings account for repairs on our LR2. The most recent repair over $1,200.00 for a cooling fan. It gets better.Prior to this repair our windscreen was damaged by something that struck the windscreen. Safe lite comes out and the tech. is not concerned about the crack as much as he is about the delaminated windscreen. He asked if we had been in accident and if we were the original owners. The vehicle was never in an accident and we are the original owners. The vehicles has only ever been serviced at LR dealership in Ventura, CA. and nowhere else. Apparently, the windscreen was replaced because it was damaged but it was incorrectly replaced and it allowed moisture to enter the instrument panel and thus our electronic headaches I can only presume. We've had the fuel pump go out, oil pump go out, among a host of numerous other headaches that added up to the several thousands of dollars we lost on repairing this piece of junk.Land Rover asked for the receipt of our most recent repair and the response was laughable. I posted my response on Google Plus. Basically we were told that Land Rover offered a goodwill gesture for reimbursing our windscreen which they fraudulently sold us in a bad and very unsafe condition. I had to laugh, we paid several thousands of dollars in repairs and Land Rover is not in a financial position to assist for one repair. LOL. That is pathetic!

Land Rover has a lot of different selection of cars on their car lot. I think I made a good decision based on the price and the selection that they currently had on hand. They have the most up to date cars on the market. They don't have any junk and they can only sell the best since they do ask for a lot of money as a down payment. They let you upgrade your car just as long as you have the money to do it. You can customize your car too for your style. I like the way it makes me feel. You can fit all that you need to fit. There is a lot of passengers' room as well as trunk space. You can carry all your luggage and extras you may need to bring with you.

There's a lot of colors and styles to choose from. It's well built and has shiny paint, nice seats and dashboard. The setup of the whole vehicle is very stylish and comfortable. It has matching colors and easy to read. Also has bright lights in and out. The clock works and can be read easy. I love the radio, too. The windshield is perfect and clear, and powerful wipers. Also, the back up, brake and headlights are strong. There is enough leg room for all my long legged passengers. There is enough seat space to be comfortable, and can even carpool. You can customize it in anyway they have available. But I wouldn't change too much of the vehicle from its already amazing design. Simple and up to date is best. Moreover, safety is top in this vehicle.

I have been driving Land Rovers in my family since 2005 and exclusive owned 5 products so far right from LR3, LR4 and most recent Range Rover sport diesel 2016s. Purchased my first Range Rover sport in May of 2016. The car spent more time in the dealership due to transmission issues and leaks on an ongoing basis. I traded the car for another Range Rover Sport TD6. After about 1000 miles transmission fluid started leaking and could smell smoke in the cabin. Minor leaks but continuous. Dealer took the car in twice to change out various seals. However leaks continued. Car has been at dealership for over a month. Dealer lowered the entire transmission and determined that the transmission fluid leaked through the material of the transmission housing. The material is porous and allows transmission oil through its walls. So dealer order a new transmission for a car now at about 2000 miles. There is major issue with the material of construction of the transmission and is quite unsafe in my opinion. I have asked for a full compensation through dealership and Jaguar Land Rover North America. The response so far has been very slow both from JLR North America and the dealer tells me that such things take time to resolve. Meanwhile I continue paying for the car. My main concern with the car is its reliability and safety. I am still waiting to hear dealer and JLR North America. I will update post as issue gets resolved. Meantime any advice highly appreciated.
