Nissan Versa service and repairs

Nissan Motor Company is a Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Japan. The company sells its vehicles under the Nissan, Infiniti, and Datsun brands, with in-house performance tuning products labelled Nismo.

The 2022 Nissan Versa sedan is a fine transportation tool for getting passengers from point A to point B, but it also makes the journey more enjoyable than many other subcompact cars. Not only is the Nissan handsome, it has a price tag that's affordable for almost everyone. While almost everyone will also find its four-cylinder engine to be ill-equipped for prompt highway passes, they should find its highway fuel economy to be impressive. The Versa's smooth ride and cushy front seats make it a relaxing chariot for daily commutes, and it's available with more driver assists than its classmates. Although some of those alternatives are better to drive, the 2022 Versa is a very good little car for folks who care most about comfort and safety.

Nissan extended warranty on 2009 Rogue for 10 years. I replaced CVT in December of 2015 at AAMCO after being informed by a Nissan dealer that I did not have any warranty remaining. I recently discovered that in fact I do have a warranty on CVT as it was extended. I filed claim with Nissan for reimbursement which they have denied. The Nissan service manager discussed this claim with Nissan and their opinion was I should be reimbursed.

In 2011, I purchased a 2011 Versa. After driving it for a few months, the new model came out with a different body style. I traded my 2011 model for a 2012. I purchased an extended maintenance warranty on the 2011, received a refund for it and purchased another maintenance warranty for the 2012 Versa. After a few months in February 2012, I totaled the 2012 Versa and requested to have the remainder of the maintenance warranty returned to me. I went to dealership and completed all of the required paperwork and turned it in to my salesman (the guy in the finance office was busy). I was told that the money would be mailed to my house within 4-6 weeks. After 2 months (in May 2012), I called dealership to let them know that I had not received my refund and was told they would look into it. Every month from then until now, I have called the dealership and still nothing has happened. I am being given the runaround by the finance manager and the accounting manager. I will never purchase another Nissan in my life.

The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Maxima. The contact stated that the key failed to turn over into the on position preventing the vehicle from starting. The contact made multiple attempts and was not able to start the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer. The technician diagnosed that the steering lock needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 61,000.

I leased a car in July of 2006. I received a property tax bill to pay in January. I got a signed and notarized affidavit stating that this vehicle was used for personal use only and that I did not live in the county where the property tax was being applied. In addition, the county where I purchased the vehicle and also reside does not charge property taxes. The first year was fine. I received another bill the second year and I submitted the same paperwork. NMAC claimed they never received it and that I owed them for taxes. I did not pay for it. The following year, I received another bill. When I submitted the forms again, I was told they could not accept them because I had not paid the previous year's taxes. I just recently tried to refinance my home and my credit report is damaged because of this. I have tried calling to clear this mess up and was told rudely that this will not go away until it is paid. I submitted everything the company told me to do exactly and yet, this is still on my credit report. They have been extremely rude and have even hung up on me. I will never lease a vehicle again and I will never deal with Nissan again.

I am a returning customer of Nissan and I leased a 2015 Nissan Versa Note and while I have owned the car I find the car is very hard to stop. Many times I found myself in the middle of the intersection finally stopped. I also had my foot get caught by the carpet and molding below the dash which Nissan had a recall for this and they corrected it but now my foot still gets caught so they didn't fix anything there.I also found six months in with the car that there was a humming sound coming from the rear wheels and I had the tires checked many times and nothing. Finally I found out the wheel bearings were going out. I took the car to the dealer and they said the car is unsafe to drive so they gave me a loaner car and replaced both wheel bearings. Now about 2 months later the humming in the rear wheels is humming again. The humming is not consistent yet. I called Nissan to tell them I am returning the car early because I feel it's unsafe to drive and they advised me that I need to talk to Nissan consumer affairs so they sent a claim over to them.I then got a call from a lady who said she was with consumer affairs and she was gathering information on my case for her co-worker and that he would contact me in a week and they would advise me if Nissan could repurchase the vehicle from me. I got a call a week later from a guy telling me, "You talked to my co-worker and we have everything we need so I will call you this Friday." Well Friday came and went, I was contacted by a woman the next week explaining the guy is no longer with the company and she would be handling the situation and she would call me in a week. A week goes by and I didn't receive a call so I called myself and they said they were sorry the woman helping me was no longer with the company, so now here I am 2 people who were helping me are no longer with the company. I think this is sign that maybe Nissan isn't the company I was led to believe. The end result was Nissan offered to give me a warranty to cover the breaks and the wheels but didn't offer to purchase the vehicle, so they want me to drive an unsafe vehicle and if it breaks and causes and accident I may be dead but the car will get repaired because of the generous nature of Nissan providing me the extended warranty. So in the end I might be dead but my family could get the car fixed and be able to drive it around. So I just got an inspection done and I am now going to turn the car into the dealer and deal with Nissan coming after me, trying to get me to pay for a death trap. So thank you Nissan for absolutely nothing and I will be sure everyone in the USA is aware of my situation and the quality of your products and your desire to not help your customers.

I purchased a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder in October of 2008, with about 20,000 miles from Stockton Nissan. About 3 years ago the VDC Off light came on. I took the car to Stockton Nissan to have the transmission flushed and asked them about the light (The car had less than 60,000 miles at the time). Was given an estimate of $1500 for the ABS Actuator Sensor/Pump and $600 to install for a whopping total of $2100.00. I declined because other than the Idiot lights the car runs good and the mechanical gauges all check out. Then the BRAKE light and ABS light. Then the check engine lights started coming on and off and the speedometer and odometer would go on and off with them. However, my car registration is due in December of this year so I need to smog it. I took it to a shop and they charged me $400 to replace the speed sensor on the right front tire. It smogged, but 400 dollars later I still have all of the Idiot Lights off and no speedometer or odometer. I have contacted the Nissan Consumer 800 number 3 different times. Nothing was done. This should be a RECALL since other Nissan owners are having the same issues. I guess since it is not a SAFETY ISSUE, Nissan can get away with ignoring this issue. This is my 4th Nissan AND WILL BE MY LAST NISSAN, unless this issue is addressed by Nissan. By the way, this is first review/complaint I have ever written.

Purchased a Pathfinder November 2013. Last year and a half we had a new transmission put in and then took it back for transmission issues after that. Now our electrical panel fried. I'm almost at 29000 miles with a basic factory warranty. Help.

I took my car in to get the leather fixed, bubbling AGAIN. This has already been replaced once. My vehicle is barely a year old. They told me it's because of the oil I used to clean it. The first and only time I have ever even attempted to clean my car was 3 days ago. Nissan cleans it when they service it so frequently. It is NOT because of the oil. I have already been to arbitration because the convertible top scrapes the seats when it goes up and down. Now while my car is under warranty something that was already replaced once they aren't going to FIX! I will be calling the BBB again and maybe this time I will hire my own lawyer. I have never owned a Nissan and I never will again! Very Disappointed! Nissan does NOT stand by their product.

My daughter purchased a 2013 NISSAN SENTRA in November of 2013. In May of 2014, out of nowhere, the car transmission started slipping after 10,000 miles. She immediately took it to her dealership and they proceeded to diagnose the problem. I was advised that there have been some problems with the CVT transmissions, but they were working on them. Once sending proper testing documents to Nissan, the dealership replaced the transmission. It is a major concern of ours that the same year transmission was put back in the car, after being advised that once the transmission is replaced there were very few problems with them.I thought that since Nissan was confident in their product, that there wouldn't be any reservation in extending the new transmission warranty. Not so. Unfortunately, she will be losing 10,000 miles on the transmission warranty as it will run at the same time as the whole power train warranty, 60,000 miles or six years. Maybe they aren't so confident in their product after all, nor am I!!!! Will not be recommending Nissan to future buyers.
