Nissan Automobile Model 2025 Nissan Rogue

2025 Nissan Rogue

The 2025 Nissan Rogue is a compact crossover SUV designed for versatility and modern convenience. It seats up to five, offers a blend of everyday comfort and technology, and comes with an available all-wheel drive setup, making it suitable for both urban driving and variable weather conditions.

Powertrain & Performance

The Rogue is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing about 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque.

It uses a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and features Nissan’s standard “Intelligent” all-wheel drive system on many trims.

Drive modes include Auto, Eco, Snow, Sport and Off-Road, allowing the vehicle to adapt to different road conditions and driving styles.

Fuel economy estimates in Canada suggest approximately 8.4 L/100 km in city driving and 6.7 L/100 km on the highway for the AWD models.

Towing capability is modest for the segment, typically around 1,500 lbs when properly equipped.

Interior, Space & Features

The cabin accommodates five passengers, with good front- and rear-seat space for its class.

Cargo volume is competitive: with the rear seats folded the Rogue offers up to about 2,098 litres of space (approximate) for larger items.

Technology highlights include available 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone integration (Apple CarPlay/Android Auto), and available built-in Google apps and services.

Safety and driver-assist tech are robust. Standard features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trims offer advanced systems like ProPILOT Assist 2.1 with semi-autonomous driving capability on compatible highways.

Comfort upgrades available on higher trims include semi-aniline leather-appointed seats, panoramic moonroof, tri-zone climate control, and premium Bose audio.

Trim Levels & Pricing

The Rogue is available in several trims (for example: S, SV, SL, Platinum, and a ruggedized “Rock Creek” edition for more off-road style).

In Canadian markets, base pricing begins in the mid-$30,000-range (CAD) before options and freight.

Higher trims with AWD and premium features move into the upper-$40,000s CAD.

Features and option availability vary by trim, so customization (colour, technology, packages) drives cost upward.

Strengths

Strong value proposition: modern design, full feature set for the class, and a good balance of technology and practicality.

Available AWD and multiple drive modes give it better adaptability for varied conditions than many urban-only crossovers.

Modern cabin with upgraded materials and technology make the interior feel more premium than previous versions.

Efficient enough for everyday driving while still offering enough performance for typical family or commuter use.

Trade-Offs / Things to Consider

While 201 hp is solid for this class, the vehicle is not built for high performance or sporty driving—its emphasis is more on comfort and versatility.

The CVT transmission may not deliver the same shift feel or responsiveness as traditional automatics; some drivers prefer a different feel.

Towing capacity is limited compared to many midsize SUVs or trucks, so if you need heavy trailer capability you’ll want a different vehicle.

Price can climb materially when moving into higher trims with premium features and AWD, so budgeting accordingly is important.

While the cabin and materials are upgraded, some rivals may still offer more rear-seat space or cargo flexibility, especially in larger crossover models.

Who It’s Best For

The 2025 Rogue is a strong fit for:

Small families or couples who want a comfortable, tech-rich crossover with room for five and gear.

Buyers who live in regions with varying weather and appreciate the additional traction of AWD.

Drivers who prioritize modern amenities, connectivity, and a refined ride over maximal towing or pure sportiness.

Those who want an everyday vehicle that balances efficiency, comfort and style without stepping into the high-end luxury tier.

I have a Service Contract with Nissan and is a joke. At 15,000 miles I was told that Regular routine issues like replacing an air filter was not covered. I was at Nissan for an oil change and after they were finished the Service Department presented me with a $300 bill. Air Filter, Brake Fluid; minor items. Then the Tires which is really the reason why I am writing. NISSAN ROTATED MY TIRES AND NEVER PERFORMED AN ALIGNMENT!!! I have spoken to at least 3 experts that informed me the tires were worn from the inside out. How CRAZY is this!!! I had to replace my tires for $700 just recently and have the bill now to submit the highest person that runs NISSAN. I want to be compensated for a pro-rate on my tires. I will pursue this matter with Nissan until I cant talk anymore. Literally! The sad part is that I am disabled and putting 2 sons through College so they get a decent chance in life to chase their dreams. I cannot afford these tires. Another sad issue is my Parents always owned American made Cars and I talked them into buying a Nissan Rogue and then a Sentra. How Sad! I want help with compensation on my tires. I have all the documentation.

Theyre aware of the issues with the 06 Nissan Altima and they didnt send out notification. Its stressful patching something that they know about. How dare they put our lives in danger and our children and now theyre giving me a hard time. Shame. Shame. Shame on them. This car has put my child 95 around big trucks.

I bought a new 2018 Versa S plus in July. It gets good gas mileage and looks good. That’s where the good ends... The bad, The CVT transmission has an intermittent issue where it vibrates or shudders when coming to a stop. Dealer cannot find an issue. The main seal where engine meets transmission is seeping oil. The dealer refused to acknowledge it was oil (called it a liquid) and said Nissan will not cover repair unless it is dripping on the ground! Really???I’ve had my oil changed twice, both times at two different Nissan dealerships. Both times they overfilled oil. First time they pumped 5 qts into a car in which the owners manual states 3.75 qts and had to drain some out. The 2nd time they put in 4 qts and had to drain some out. The incompetence in these authorized Nissan dealerships is bewildering!I’ve had three 27 point inspection and not one mention of the oil that is leaking from main seal. The green box is checked for leaks underneath car! I will be changing my own oil going forward and saving receipts. At least I know it will be done right... I will not purchase another Nissan product based off of my experience with the brand and incompetent service centers. I will definitely be selling this car before warranty is expired.

Came in to look at vehicles on 5/23/2015 to this dealership. Liked the 2015 Nissan Murano. Traded in our car and purchased the vehicle. Since the purchase (at the time of vehicle delivery) there was a defect with the center console. After 2 service visits and a vehicle in service for a whole day it is clear that Service Department does not know how to fix... No Parts available. Plus why would I buy a car that needs service from the delivery time? After complaints with ** (Dealership General Manager) I was given a $400 service department credit and a replacement Murano (unwind from one and into another.)The 2nd Murano did not have the console issue, but had a drivers door issue... The door would not properly close, would not align to other doors and seemed like the car has either been in a repair or an accident or simply was not assembled correctly. Same thing. Brought the vehicle in for service. 2 days in the body shop the vehicle is returned back with some door adjustments, broken door molding, need new parts, will need car into service again and a 2nd conversation with ** (general manager) is now on a different tone. Essentially he has said that we have helped you out... Cant help you again other than repair, repair and more repair... And thats why there is warranty. Not to mention that both times I have brought in the vehicle for service I did not receive any paperwork as to the vehicle taken to service or what was done to it, or who worked on it. As it stands now I am extremely disappointed with the purchase, with the vehicle, with the dealership and its management. However I do appreciate the sales person ** for his time and assistance with the process. And I doubt anyone should buy a Nissan from this or any other Mossy Nissan dealership so that you will need to take it to service for immediate warranty repairs... Buyers beware. Today is June 25th, 2015. Still waiting for door molding parts (Which are clearly not going to fix the problem anyways, but someone at Nissan or Mossy Nissan decided that the molding is an issue after door adjustment and they want to replace this first) 3 weeks and on just waiting on parts.Should have left the vehicle at the dealership, but they gave me a Nissan Versa with all stickers for sale as a loaner to drive. Contacted Nissan Consumer affairs... Pretty useless experience as well. They are telling me that they are in communication with the dealership and thats it. Still no paperwork provided for any service performed on the vehicle to date. DO NOT BUY VEHICLES FROM MOSSY... This can happen to you. A reputable dealership would not sell a 40k vehicle with defects and let customers repair vehicles. Imagine if you bought a Brand new vehicle and immediately had to take to service. For weeks. This is obviously last time I bought a Nissan and the last time I bought a vehicle from any Mossy Dealerships. This is how a company lost a customer. And none of my friends and family will even consider Nissan or Mossy Nissan.

Had my car a year (Altima 2016 used) and it’s out of warranty. When purchasing the car I asked for an extended warranty and the finance manager declined me stating that I was not in a position to receive the extended warranty that I was lucky that I was even approved for the car. I had to beg for GAP and he made me pay for my GAP cash upfront $500. Also when I called my finance company to see if they had additional options they stated that those instruction about extended warranty was not true that they would have went through another company not them. At that point I did not understand why the finance manager had me lie to the finance company about the type of car I was receiving if I would not be covered. Basically I was taken advantage of and it worked on their end because now I am screwed out of a car unless I come up with the funds to fix the issue. Nissan said it’s nothing they can do, You have to buy a $3500 transmission. I do not know much about repair to cars but my car is calling for a sensor and Im not sure why my sensors cannot be replaced vs the entire transmission!Call Consumer Affairs and they had an attitude. Told me there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. I will be taking this to the next level. My voice will be heard and something will be done. I would have never spent my money with them knowing I would have to deal with such poor service and attitude! Please do not put yourself in my situation stay away from Nissans (CVT) they are NO GOOD! Terrible customer service and they will do NOTHING to help you.

I would like to thank you for the most demeaning experience of my life. After approximately (3) weeks of being told to come pick up my car (3) different times, paying for insurance on a car I was unable to drive off the lot, producing every piece of information/documentation requested via e-mail and/or in person, never receiving one correspondence to e-mails sent to Ms. ** in the finance department; sitting in the lobby waiting to meet with the finance department for over (2) hours on (3) separate occasions, only to be told by the car salesmen I needed one more thing and come back tomorrow since it was now after 8:00pm; on one occasion I told the salesman I didnt have much time because I had to pick up my kids from practice by 8:30 I walked out at 9 because he was taking too long. I still sat there for over two hours when he assured me it would only take (15) minutes. On a different occasion I left to get something to eat and brought back dinner for the salesmen since we both had a long day; then being accused of falsifying documents by Ms. ** in the finance department because I misunderstood when she asked me for my PG&E bill I thought she needed Proof of Residency. I had no idea she needed to see the balance owed. When the salesmen explained this to me I apologized for the confusion and asked if they had a computer/printer and I replaced the document within two minutes; next, the salesmen informed me that I needed to lower the balance owed on my PG&E, which I did by making a $200.00 payment and making arrangements for the balance thing next morning; the manager called me and apologized since he had no idea I was still going through this he assured me this would be taken care of once he spoke to the owner tomorrow! All I could do at that point was cry after having to explain what I had been through and was STILL going through; 3 weeks later, I finally met with Keith in Finance 2/14/16 to sign the documents (they removed Ms. ** from the deal since she was so rude and cold to me the ONE time I actually did speak to her and the accusation/lie she told when they had to speak to her about how I was treated. I guess that was her justification; I left with the car. Happy, not so much humiliated and stressed, most definitely! I asked Keith if they could repair damage (a small crack) on the car, he replied yes. Justin (my salesmen) scheduled an appointment for me.When I showed up at the service department to drop off the car during my lunch hour, I was told I had no appointment and they dont make these types of repairs there so Id would have to wait until the salesmen came in at 2. I called the office to inform them that I would be late coming back to work. As I waited an hour for Justin, I was once again embarrassed when approached by a different salesmen. I said I was waiting to find out about having a crack on the car repaired, he asked, Why? Its not like you bought a $30,000 car. Then! After having the car for just over (2) weeks I was contacted by Keith in the finance department on a Sunday afternoon, letting me know the financing had fallen through and they needed the car back by Monday (the next day). I was in Los Angeles for my daughter. I stepped out of our hotel room so my kids wouldnt see me crying again. I contacted the finance company directly. SHE INFORMED ME THAT I NEEDED TO BRING DOWN THE BALANCE ON PG&E BILL BY $600.00, which I did just to keep my car for me and my children.Mind you when I first arrived after being convinced by a DJ who promotes events held on the lot to come there because everyone is so wonderful. The very first thing I said to the salesmen is, I have been through so much financially. I have horrible credit, a $1,500.00 down payment, and a job that I have been at for almost 16 years. If you cant help me I totally understand. He assured me that he would do the best he could. He ran my credit, laid out different terms so I said, Thank you, I cant meet those terms and left. They called me back saying THEY COULD HELP ME. Had I known I would go through so much humiliation, stress, tears and two migraines I would NEVER have gone back! I am a single mother. Paid once a month. I had to give all I had at that moment to keep the car (which included the first months payment I had set aside and money to get us through the month. I will be late on my first payment.

With 38,215 I was told this weekend that I would have to replace the blower motor and resister. Estimated cost of parts and installation $1,100.00. This is the third time for this problem. First two times were under warranty. So other than the inconvenience, I had it repaired as instructed. Now that I have had the car for 6 years, it has happened a third time and the local dealers says it will cost $1,100.00 which is over 8.0% of what I paid for the car new.I filed a complaint with Nissan and have been given the customer service shuffle. Nissan has repeatedly refused to call at the time I have requested. I have provided the title to the car, the bill of sale, the insurance policy information, etc, etc, etc.Even requesting four different times that Nissan call between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday, I received a call this morning at 9:25 AM. The polite young man indicated he had received prior e-mail (everyone requesting the 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM time). While his English was very good, he clearly had not read the e-mail he said he had (could be from India).I know this is one of Nissans cheapest cars, but I have owned Sentras (before Versa) but never had this many problems with something as simple as a fan switch (resister). I will never buy another Nissan and will buy American in the future. If Japan is going to make cars as bad as the America cars, I might as well buy American. At least the parts are cheaper.

Nissan quietly extended the warranty for the CVT (transmission) from 5 year
Nissan quietly extended the warranty for the CVT (transmission) from 5 years/60,000 miles to 10 years/120,000 because of all the problems people are having, everything from shaking to accelerating at stop signs. Its a genuine safety concern. My wifes 2008 Nissan Rogue has the same problem. We took it in for service and they replaced the transmission. However, theyre charging us $2,700 for a new transfer case, a transfer case thats included in the original powertrain warranty that connects to the transmission. The mechanic at Nissan of Bourne in Massachusetts tried to tell me the problem started with the transfer case and not the transmission. I find this hard to believe since Nissan is obviously having issues with the transmission, or else they wouldnt have had to extend the original warranty. There is no reason why Nissan should be charging customers for their own substandard parts. To replace the transmission but not the transfer case which is part of the transmission, is flat-out dishonest. Now well have to spend money we dont have because Nissan wont live up to its own warranty on parts they know are bad. There shouldve been a recall in the first place for safety reasons, but Nissan is trying to mitigate their losses at the expense of their customers. This is not right and it should be addressed.

Purchased Nissan Altima..brand new from Davidson Nissan In Watertown NY. My car overheated to the point the indicator was pegged out completely! And fluid spewed out from under the hood multiple times!! First trip to very unfriendly service department..was told could not repeat. Picked up my car and the radiator fluid was still all over the front end of my car!! Next day picked my son up at school. Car overheated to the point I was asked to move it farther away from the building for fear children could be burned from the spewing liquid. Parked in the far end of parking lot. My car was flat bedded again to Davidson Nissan in Watertown N.Y. Was told again could not repeat. Went to pick up my car, they couldnt find it. Called service manager and he told them he parked it in the back field. They brought it to me covered in dirt and yep covered in more anti freeze. This continued for weeks. I told the manager of the Davidson Nissan Watertown NY I did not want the car anymore. I asked him to buy it back. He said all he could do to make it right was an extended warranty, Nissan car mats, 2 free oil changes (I did not use) and a Nissan hat. 2 years later my car suddenly jerks going down the highway. I get off exit and car hesitated. I drove less than a mile to pizza shop. Went to leave and my car would not go forward or reverse.. Called warranty company and had my car flat bedded to Burdick Nissan in Cicero NY (Drivers Village). I was told this morning that transmission had to be completely replaced!!! What it is a 2017 are you kidding me. Yep but at least its covered by warranty. What about next time? Replacing with the same kinda transmission.... Hello..I thought Nissan was a good dependable car. I dont want this car and owe too much to trade it!! Thanks Nissan.

I bought my 2015 Versa - not happy. They screw me with warranties and the car is just the basic. When I fought them to cancel them I still owed a lot for this car. Not worth it... so dont buy this car... Then I got hit from the back and front within 4 month of getting my car so I decided to take in the dealer collision shop here in Katy TX Mossy Nissan. I had a bad experience. They did not do a good job. Never take your car in this shop. Everything was bad. For them to be a dealer they should have better bodyman and painters. How we found out? I got hit again so they had to take the bumper off and found the bumper had glue to hold it on. What kind of ** was that so people please check the work. I will never take it in the dealer or buy another Nissan cars. And the people there are so rude. When they did the problem they dont want to talk to you, so dont go to Mossy Nissan Collision in Katy TX. They do poor quality work. They need to fire all who do ** work. And also the manager that lets these car pass, his name is Matt ** # 281 496 2200.

Called Nissan customer affairs talked to a Trey. No help... Asked to talked to his supervisor then talked to a Alica (not sure on name). Voiced my disconcern with my customer service at a dealership. Asked for Alica for a email with her name and my case number. Said she would. Well she had Trey call me back then he said he would. Keep in mind they dont have employee ID numbers and cant use last names. They work in your Tennessee office. Neither one of Nissan customer affair case workers could send me a simple email. All they wanted to do was close the case which I had to call and have re-opened 1st time. Basically its waste of time to complain to them. Almost sure nothing was done or will be done. Best they could with all their experience suggest a I get a second opinion... I felt like the dealership was being shady.

I purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue. Brand new. Have no problems until this week. The car wouldnt crank. Replaced battery works fine. Now the radio wont work. Speakers just went out. All the sudden a burst of smoke came from the vents that smelled like burning wiring. Called Nissan my warranty is out. Seen on edmunds.com that a recall is in place as of Jan 28th 2015 but hasnt been mentioned yet. The wiring harness is shorting out and can cause the car to catch fire. And nothing can be done unless I pocket out the 2,000 + grand to get it fixed. You pay 25,000 for a brand new safe car to drive your children around in and this is the repayment. I will never do business with Nissan again.

I own a 2012 Nissan Versa with only 38000.00 miles. The car broke down last week on me while I was driving. I had it towed to the dealership where it is still. There they say they cannot find out what is wrong with it but they too cannot get it to start. When I called them today they are now saying they believe it may be something wrong with the transmission. Thank god I bought an extended warranty on it. I cannot be upset with the service department as so far they have been very nice and I do have a rental car compliments of Nissan. But with this car having less than 40000.00 miles and the transmission going out already that is not a good sign. I love my car but if this is an indication of what is to come I am going to get rid of this car and will not go back to Nissan.

My 2005 Murano was serviced by a dealer for a stalling problem. The dealer stated a need of Cam shaft sensor replacement for a fix. Further, they recommended that the CVT be replaced due to an action of recoiling at deceleration which I mentioned the exactly the same dilemma to a Nissan tech adviser who wrote a ticket. A mechanic test drove my car & was able to verify/duplicate the symptom of the recoiling action aforementioned. I told the Nissan dealer to replace the Cam sensor & the transmission fluids knowing that a warranty doesnt cover the expenses involved with the replacement of CVT.Next day, Oct/29/15, I accidentally discovered on internet that Nissan had extended warranty on CVT to 10 yr/120,000 miles. Consequently, I called the customer rep. to confirm an eligibility. The rep. submitted a ticket for a regional specialist to call me next day which they did. The answer was No because I purchased my car on Aug/16/2005 which is merely (2) months outside window of an extended warranty. I greatly disappointed & called a customer Rep. again to re-open the case for the following reasons: I have never received the notification from the Nissan of an extended warranty on CVT.Im the original owner & it has only 78,000 miles on it. Mine failed at such low miles, then whod buy a car from Nissan. Id have taken the car to a dealer to replace the CVT if Id known the extended program. I love my car & the performance except the mishap of CVT. Im awaiting on a reply from a regional manager this time in a few days for a final decision.

I will never again own a Nissan, especially if they continue putting CVT transmissions in them. I wont recommend a Nissan to anyone as well. If you are lucky, transmission may get you 100,000 miles. My first one went out at 89,000 and now, my second one is out. My first one was covered under the warranty, but the second was only good for 30 days on labor and 12 months for parts at a Nissan dealership. Both not even getting 100,000. I have also spent money on quite a few other repairs along the way. I take care of my vehicles and service them properly. Stay away from Nissan and CVT transmissions. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I am the original owner of a 2006 Nissan Xterra. On Oct. 25, 2017 I took my Xterra in to be serviced as a preventative measure since I was recently informed of a radiator/transmission problem with the Xterra, Pathfinder and Frontier models 2005-2010. After speaking with my neighbor who also has a 2006 Xterra and replaced his radiator; I decided to have my radiator replaced as well (even though I experienced no problems with it) just so I could prevent any infusion of coolant into the transmission.Much to my surprise Nick called me with the bad news that damage was already done & would cost $6,800 to replace the radiator, transmission and fluids. This also included labor costs. Being fearful of a potential problem I did not want to wait 2 weeks for both the arrival of a new transmission & the mechanics return from vacation; I chose to take the vehicle to another shop. At shop #2 the mechanic informed me there was nothing wrong with the transmission and could not see what the mechanic at Nissan (Greg) claimed to have found; e.g. leakage of coolant and lots of rust in the transmission and on the fluid stick. He did however, find a petroleum based substance in the radiator and was his opinion that oil was placed in the coolant.Upon having the radiator flushed & bypassed from the coolant entering the transmission, replacing the thermostat & radiator cap (due to damage of the rubber seals from the oil) the cost was $677.84 with labor included; an expense I should never have had to endure. On Nov. 8, 2017 I spoke with Jack **, MGR and shared the findings of the 2nd mechanic. In a nutshell he basically told me he could not help me and stood by his mechanic’s findings. He went on to say “Sorry for your loss” and “If the vehicle was running good at this time he recommended that I sell it”. I have always trusted Nissan to provide excellent care and stand by their products. I have had my vehicle serviced only with Nissan for the past 11 yrs; with Montrose Nissan for the past 7 years. I am sorry to say “they have certainly dropped the ball this time” and me being the loyal compliant customer will not be returning from this point on.

First time and last leasing from Nissan this 2018 Nissan Rogue SL.! At 5,000 miles had front end whining. Took to dealer. They said nothing wrong.? I would not leave without them looking further into this noise. Well they found a faulty bearing and replaced it. I asked for a wheel alignment also to be done. I thought they did this.? But at 10,000 miles I had wheel pulling and shaking in the front of the car. Took to same dealer for service but was told because it needed a wheel alignment it was my fault so I asked for a inspection that I paid for. They found a faulty control arm and strut on same side as the replaced bearing.! Well they said it was my fault that I did something to cause this and would not fix it unless I paid for the repairs.! This is totally a terrible company and cars also.!I contacted corporate and worse treatment said my fault so, “We can’t help you.!” It is caused by not having a wheel alignment that I asked for at the prior bearing replacement.? So I am a victim of Nissan North America that makes you think you are getting a great deal on a lease car.! Then when you have a true problem that you did not cause they throw you under the”BUS”!!! They suck people in by giving them a lot of “Bells and Whistles” standard on the cars and not caring about anyone’s safety just making their pockets DEEPER!!!Stay away from these dealers and cars nothing but trouble for the consumer while they take no responsibility at all after you sign and leave the dealership.!! Where is their warranty on a new vehicle.? This is proof that there is none.! So my car if driven could cause a serious accident and possible near death to any passengers or others on the road!!! I have to pay for all the repairs before I can drive it again.!!! Buyers Beware.!!!!

First time purchase of a loan/lease. Signed a lease with loan prices ($337 month). Total purchase price 2015 Rogue $34,000. Error was noticed by purchaser same day at dealership. When brought to attention of dealer, more or less too bad. All they had to do was tear up the lease form and attach correct monthly price to a lease $134 month. $14,000 to purchase at end of lease or the proper monthly payment, $337 month with the last payment, vehicle is mine... maybe 10 mins of their time on paperwork. Instead of 23 months trying (by me) to get the thing correct. Notified every agency of the error including THE WHITE HOUSE with no luck. Money hungry (Nissan) outfit. Matter went to court March 2017. It is still undecided.

I have a 2010 Nissan Armada that began running poorly 2 months. I took it to the dealership and a secondary mechanic. Both said the engine needed to be replaced costing over $10,000. Likely cause is flex fuel. Warranty was for 5 years. Nissan will not offset the cost. No vehicle should need a new engine after 5 years unless its garbage.Upon contacting the Nissan corporate office regarding my 2010 Nissan Armada that needs its engine replaced - I was shuttled around to various representatives. None could answer my questions competently. Worse off - they would never give their true names. The area code was for Tennessee, but the reality is that its an answering service in the Philippines claiming to be a regional office. Dont trust Nissan.

This is the beginning of my campaign against Nissan. They build crap cars and dont stand by their product. Do not buy a Nissan. You will regret it. There are ridiculous problems that you would not expect from a car built in the 21st century. They are common across the board. The door handles come off simply by opening the door. Water pools in the driver side floorboard. The airbags will go off for no reason. The airbags are the only thing theyll fix because they know its a liability.

All they said was yeah it shows you paid, but we didnt get any payment and told him to pay more. Obviously someone there is pocketing the money or some crap cause hes been paying. Last week they had his car repossessed for no payment... But he has been paying. Hes even told them that he wont ever get another Nissan and asked them if they scam all soldiers like this? they hung up on him. He has yet to get his car back and they still wont admit that theres something wrong in the whole payment thing. They said he hasnt paid in 4 months. I contacted Nissan on 12/4/18 and spoke with Stacie from Nissan North America regarding my transmission going out! She asked that I take the car to the dealership and have a diagnostics done and they will review if the car could be considered to be repaired by Nissan. Stacie, called me back within hours after learning my car was there and told me, there was nothing she could do, because the car was over 60K the allotted mileage to be considered an option to cover the transmission per Nissans guidelines.I contacted the dealership and spoke with the service manager and he told me, I missed the cutoff by 125 miles for consideration for Nissan to repair the transmission. Stacie, lied and never mentioned the 120K cut off... She deliberately did not share that information. She did not try to help, she’s a liar and my car is sitting at Nissan and my car isn’t fixed! Buyers beware! I am so extremely disappointed and frustrated with this company who refuses to help their customers in order to make some extra money in their pocket. They have unethical billing practices. I not only leased two vehicles from them but have only been a customer for less than 2 months and regret ever going into business with them. I have been on the phone with so many of their reps and supervisors, people feeding me different ** and after more time, stress and headache, never getting to an actual solution, but rather the way they would have it, money for them and an unhappy customer. This company is known for their terrible billing practices. Even the Mass Turnpike knew I had a Nissan without me giving any personal account information because this is what Nissan does. Thats a good reputation you’ve built for yourself Nissan. I hope I can help the next potential buyer so that when they read this, they go get a Honda instead. Trust me, you will regret getting into business with this company. I am seriously looking into getting a lawyer about this because this is just wrong. I made it so easy for them to resolve the issue, but they keep coming back with ridiculous reasons for why they cannot do that. If I was with another dealer, this would not even be an issue I would have to be resolving.

I bought a 2012 Nissan Rouge new in 2012. Last week while driving on a busy street 285 in Atlanta the car lost power and I almost had a few accidents. I took the car to a Nissan dealer in Buford GA and they said the transmission was gone. I have 82,000 miles on the car. I asked how much to fix, they said around $5000.00. I explained that other places said $3500, they told me the reason its this high is Nissan will not put in a transmission without a blower to cool the transmission fluid thats what is causing the breakdowns. I asked why was this not on my car when I bought it, he just looked at me. I said is this a defect, he did not answer. The blower is an additional $1200 for just the blower. I talked to Nissan and asked them to cover the whole replacement. They offered $1,000 which does not even cover the blower. This should and I am sure will be a recall someday. I guess I will park the car till then. Lastly in talking to the lady in warranty she had no clue about the blower and said she does not know cars but thats her decision. Can someone help me with this.

Our company has a 2018 NV 200, a commercial vehicle with 100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper commercial Nissan warranty. There are about 58,000 miles on the truck. On January, 26, 2021 while driving on a small residential road at 5 miles an hour, the passenger side curtain deployed. The truck did not hit anything at all. Our technician said it sounded like a gun went off. He couldn’t see anything. Had this happened on the highway, he certainly would’ve been in an accident, possibly fatal. I have been trying to work with Nissan to have them simply give us a loaner truck for the eight weeks that will be required in order to do a thorough investigation. Im not trying to cause them trouble but They told me I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF ANY LOANER TRUCK!!!.This is the worst handling of a highly explosive situation (no pun intended) that I can imagine. They also said it’s up to THEIR discretion to decide if I would get reimbursed. Furthermore, they said I may be subject to STORAGE CHARGES AT THE LOCAL DEALER UNTIL THIS IS SETTLED. Is this incredible? Dakota from their arbitration group has been assigned to me. No person could have less skills given the severity of this incident. I asked for just two things: a loaner truck and commitment to make sure that any defects be not hidden from the public. DISGRACEFUL. WHO IS SAFE IN THEIR VEHICLES????Heres the worst part. When I told them I demanded a loaner vehicle, they said the case was closed!!!! Mr/Mrs Dakota called the dealer and told them the case was closed and settled. Here is the warranty. Very clear. 5 years/100,000 miles (whichever occurs first). The Nissan Powertrain Limited Warranty covers the engine, transmission and transaxle, plus the drivetrain, as well as air bags, and related electronic control system. [*]

I bought my Titan new and had the usual rotor problem and the rear axle end seals blowing out. Nissan fixes the rotor issue without problems. The axle end seal happened at 76,000 miles, just 1,000 miles out of warranty but after many complaints to corporate, they agreed to pay half. This fix lasted about 4,000 miles, Instead of repeating the repair, I chose to use a thicker viscosity rear end lube from Lucas. I also had to replace the radiator but that is common on all vehicles now that radiators are plastic. If you’re wondering why I give this truck 4 stars, I almost gave it 5 stars, this truck had 355,000 miles on it when I traded it in 2013. Those issues listed above are the only problems I had with this truck and it still ran like a new truck when I traded. The engine and transmission were beasts. I attribute the performance of this Titan to changing my oil every 20 to 25,000 miles with Amsoil and Ea filters. I would have bought another Titan at trade but needed better mpg. Traded for a Ram 1500 4wd and it now has 270,000 using Amsoil.

Bought 4 years ago. Always maintained. Engines light comes on at 115k and it turns out that the CVT is to blame. Now Im discovering that its very common for these transmissions to only last 100k miles. Its super expensive to replace. After more research it seems to be more of a ($4k) consumable part instead of something you could trust to last for the life of the car. This would be okay, only if the repair cost wasnt going to effectively total the car. And totaled because no one wants to buy a car that is unreliable. The resale value is so low because of these problems? When called, Nissan offered no assistance and was very tight-lipped about this being anything but a rare occurrence. This is definitely a steep drop from the reliability standard I thought Nissan had. Never again?

I purchased my 2011 Nissan Rogue and have experienced this: The car only has 54k miles on it and it blew a head gasket. There were no warnings... The temp gauge went up to high and then the car wouldnt start... Plenty of fluid was in the car. The car was towed to the dealership where I purchased the car. This repair was covered under warranty. The dealership said they consulted Nissan and because it was caused by a cracked radiator the cost were not covered. The estimated cost was 2100-2400.I did some research to find that this is a problem with the radiator leaking up and causing a head gasket to blow. The dealership did work on my car hoping to sell it and place me in another vehicle. This didnt happen because I owe 15k on the car and repair cost of 3000 now to 3500 to fix car. The owners will not release my car until I pay this bill and I never signed anything to do this repair. I had to pay dealership 2100 to get my car back in Cash and I go to drive the car off lot and the car is slipping and making a horrible noise. The oil was extremely low and the car runs like crap. This has been going on for 5 weeks. I do not know what to do.

2009 Nissan Altima Transmission - I just received a call from an Ashley and she said at this time Nissan couldnt offer any type of reimbursement for my transmission. Im just curious to know if they even took into consideration that I took my car to Nissan to have it looked at because the transmission was going into safe mode when it would get hot. We put it on the machine and there were no codes that came up on the transmission so I went ahead and had them change the fluids and filter and whatever it is they do for a transmission service. I leave the dealership and I smell fluid but thought nothing of it. I drive my 60 miles home and the next morning my husband drives his 48 miles to work. When I go outside to take my daughter to school there is a big puddle of transmission fluid in my drive way. I call my husband and when he gets to car after work sure enough there is a puddle of transmission fluid under my car.I called the dealership and they waited till 6 oclock for my husband to drive the car another 50+ miles to see what was going on. Turns out a hose had split and leaked out the transmission fluid. They fixed the hose put transmission fluid back into my car and washed out from underneath car because it was covered in fluid. Then almost 2 months later my cars transmission has all these codes and I need a new one. I didnt ask for the full amount I just feel like Nissan should provide the customer service that they say they will. Theres been numerous problems with the 2009 Nissan and thats why they extended the transmission warranty and the steering lock box which went out in my car and left me and my daughter stranded and a tow bill. I just feel like Im being done unfair and put in a financial situation for servicing my car. I mean would the transmission of went out if it didnt leak out the fluid after the service? I tried calling her back and even left a voicemail but she still hasnt returned my call. I also read the letter online where Kevin Martin said that they were trying to make the repair affordable if car was out of warranty. I just feel Ive been done unfair considering the incident with my car after the transmission service.

I purchased my Night Armor colored Frontier new in 2011. It wasnt until after my paint began to flake off the front fender wells, that I researched online and found this to be a long standing problem with Nissan Frontiers. I expected the paint to fade and lose its luster over time but to have the paint just completely flake off is something I wasnt prepared for. The exterior of my truck was detailed on a regular basis that consisted of washing, clay bar, sealant and waxing and yet my paint is flaking off, along with rust in the water channels on the roof. This without a doubt is a manufacturers defect in the paint process or the paint itself that Nissan refuses to acknowledge. Toyota has a similar issue on some of their vehicles but they have gone as far as extending the paint warranty to 14 yrs for all of its customers, kudos Toyota. There is no indication that the problem has been resolved on the 2022 Frontier model... BUYER BEWARE. This is a clear indication why they are losing market share... Nissan has lost me as a repeat customer!!!

The first young man that came out to help me was very polite and agreed that the air conditioner sounded bad but he told me he would have to let his manager look at it. His manager came out, never acknowledged me, got in the car, fooled with the switches and sat there! So I asked, What do you think is wrong with it? He said, You have LEAVES in it!!!! I said, Leaves? He said, Yes, I can hear them. So I said, So you when you get them out, everything will be ok? He said, Yes BUT thats not covered under warranty and its an hour and a half labor. When we break it down, we wont put it back together until you pay the bill! He was extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked him how the leaves could have gotten in there and he just turned the knob and said, Thru the intake? I said I had never heard of anything like that and asked if he could show me how to get to it and he said NO! I said, Well it sounds like a bad design so it should be covered under warranty because I eke this car under a carport. He just walked off so I told him I would call Nissan and file a complaint with them. He said I could do whatever I wanted to do! I got this car because Im disabled and on social security. So, I had a broken coil spring on my 2009 Versa. I contacted my dealer and told him that my car only had 75k miles, and I thought it was crazy that a coil spring should break with so few miles. I am close to 70 years old, and I drive responsibly, avoiding pot holes etc. I was told by the dealer that this was not covered and it would cost me $450.00 to replace the springs. Being on a fixed income, I thought that was outrageous. I then called Nissan and filed a report, and a factory rep did check into it and again I was denied compensation of any kind. After much searching I finally found the coil springs on sale for $57.42 each, from another Nissan dealer. I also purchased the rubber seats for the top and bottom of each spring for $21.20. So, with parts, sales tax, and shipping my total cost was $147.32. I asked one of my family members if he could install the on my car and he said it would be easy, being that only one bolt needed to be removed before installing the rubber seats and springs. I left the car with him and within one hour he called me and said it was done. WHAT, that quick? He said that it was an easy job, and it only took him about 15 minutes to install both springs. I tried to pay him $50 and he said he didnt want to take advantage of me and handed $30 back to me. So I saved $282.68 that I would have had to pay to Nissan for the same work! I also should mention that my step son said he would like to do about 20 of these coil spring jobs a week. They were that easy! I understand that companies need to make a profit, but come on, this is over the top! This experience has turned me from a extremely satisfied customer to a skeptic about future work to be performed by the dealership.

I own an Altima and the drivers and passenger sides floor boards are rusting through, as well as my flex pipe that connects to the catalytic converter. Last but not least, oil pan is also rusting through. This seems to be a defect with Nissan, yet they will not take ownership of the issue. After much research, I found that I am not the only consumer who has this issue. No one can tell me that after only 7 years that this is normal for a car to rust like this. I also own a 2000 Chevy that has not rusted like my Nissan. On top of my car being a rust bucket, it also has an issue where if you move my car a few feet and turn it off, it will not start. I have brought it to a local Nissan dealer for this issue and was told nothing was wrong with my car. I have a 2010 Nissan Versa sedan. I have had the service engine light on almost the entire time Ive had the car, or at least since the warranty ran out. The diagnostic code indicates a fuel system leak, which has already been recalled on other models but not mine. I am also experiencing fuel pressure regulator problems, which was also a technical service bulletin for other Nissan Versas just not my VIN number. Im furious that known problems arent being evaluated properly for all years and/or models. Ive had my car in the shop several times because it wont start, FPR issues. Im spending my money on rental cars and inspections of my vehicle while Im still paying off my Nissan Versa and Nissan isnt doing anything about a problem that is known because they are limiting which VIN numbers to provide service to. However, the dealer who has provided service for other recalls on my vehicle keeps calling me trying to get me to buy another Nissan. I feel they are aware of the problem and instead of offering service they want me to buy another Nissan. Im disgusted with the lack of service for known problems. I feel these issues need to be expanded to other year makes outside of the bulletin as it is tight now.

Bought my 2012 Nissan Juke brand new and have had top notch maintenance (ie required oil changes, transmission fluid change, filter changes, etc.) at the same and only licensed Nissan dealer. The recall in 2014 of the Nissan Juke timing chain prompted me to take it in and get it fixed (although I was having no problems) -- I had approximately 36,000 miles on it then. Now, 56,000 miles later, I am at 92,000 miles and have been hearing a noise coming from under the hood. Took it to the same dealer and lo and behold... Its the timing chain. Nissan consumer affairs feels like theyre doing me a favor by covering ONLY the parts for this ($485.00) and Im suppose to fork over the remaining $1200.00 for labor. Really Nissan? They say my car is out of warranty. This has absolutely nothing to do with warranty. First, my car has had top notch maintenance with documented proof at the dealership. Second, the elephant in the room is the fact that Nissan refuses to take responsibility that this is a premature failure of the timing chain they put in 56,000 miles ago. This will be the first and last Nissan I ever purchase. How sad, a multi-million dollar company cant afford to please a customer and do the right thing by standing behind their parts. Goodbye Nissan, youve lost me as a future buyer. Shame on you.

I took my vehicle in for an oil change and 60,000 mile tune up. For prevent measures the service technician advised me to have my transmission replaced. When i picked up the vehicle, I noticed within 5 miles a popping noise and hesitation during acceleration. The consequence was I had to take the vehicle back to Nissan and was told at that time that the Transfer Case had to be replaced, unneeded service and unneeded out of pocket expense. For both the corporation and myself.

The vehicle is a 2010 Nissan Titan VIN number **, which legally she cannot sell because Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation have not authorized her. As I tried to explain, they refused because we are not on contract and they refused to talk to me.My civil rights were violated. Nissan Acceptance Corp improperly repossessed my vehicle. It is a fraudulent charge for Nissan Motor Company along with Ana **. I have all statements and paper work showing payments and checked statements. They are showing no payment history today. Me, my wife and children are without transportation and also money that I have receipts for.

Never ever will I buy another Nissan. Let me share my experience with you.
Never ever will I buy another Nissan. Let me share my experience with you. I was happy to lease my new Xterra last fall (8 months ago). However, they never sent me billing info or statements; yet, they began harassing phone calls immediately. I mean 8-10 calls per day and mostly from people that spoke very broken English. I would state that no payment book was ever sent nor any statement sent to my address. This was the case for the first three months. And yet, the harassing phone calls continued as well as late payment fees. I even drove to and spoke with the general manager at the Nissan dealership where I leased the vehicle. He stated that they had had many complaints about Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp from customers. My newest issue was this month when I moved into a new home and was also traveling for work (June 2012). Because so much was going on, I forgot to send out the payment the first of the month, and the harassing phone calls began immediately. Im not talking 3-4 weeks late. Im talking 7-10 days late and phone calls all day, every day, including weekends. I called Nissan to pay for this month and next and they told me that I have almost $500 in toll-booth violations I have to pay. This puts me over the edge. One, I use toll highways maybe once or twice a month. If that, two, I have EZ Pass and it comes right out of my account. After speaking to several reps who speak very limited English, I am put on hold for 20 minutes and am eventually disconnected. I called back and went through the entire experience again and finally got to speak with a supervisor. I tried to explain my situation after again giving all my info (which takes an eternity) and the supervisor begins talking over me from the very first moment, arguing and questioning everything I am saying. She will not listen to anything I say and tried to argue with me, basically calling me a liar. This continues until I can take no more and I snapped.Advice: regardless of how much you like the Nissan vehicle you are looking at purchasing, dont buy a Nissan. I have owned dozens of cars and have never ever had a negative experience like this from day one. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Most unprofessional people/organization I have ever had to deal with!

I got my Versa on November 2014. I am having problems already. It sounds and has problems like a old car. The shocks/struts are not working at all, the engine leaking oil on and off, air conditioner making funny noises and taking engines power every time that comes on. The engine while idling makes a loud noise and keep doing a clicking sound and the brakes pedal had stuck/locked about couple times already.

I purchased a brand new Nissan rogue. It gets ten miles to the gallon. Horrible mileage. I called Nissan and they made me drive all over the place to dealers to get it checked. The mileage is still terrible. Nissan is telling me the advertised mileage of 23-30 mpg is an estimate only so if Im getting ten mpg, they are not responsible and they will not help me in any way. I feel lied to, this is my last Nissan. I contacted the attorney general, so far no response.

I cannot begin to laud all the positive things I need to say about my Nissan. I have had the car since 2004 and it has been an absolute joy to own such a great car. In the thirteen (13) years I have owned this fine vehicle I have not put ANY major parts into it. I do routine maintenance ie: oil changes, tires, battery (1) one time. Have driven from my home state to Northern WASHINGTON without anything out of the ordinary. Total miles was over (3000) three thousand and all I did was buy gas.

We purchased a new NV200 within took weeks to have the shelves installed. Then the wrong shelves were installed. There was no roof racks, no sticker. Had to go back to have sticker put on. When I purchased it had 5 miles, picked up it had 137. It has been back in the shop 2 times for multiple days, even weeks for a repair that we are told they have no idea how to fix. I have been trying to contact Nissan Consumer Affairs. Left over 7 messages, only one return call while I was at a DR. so could not answer. This has been a nightmare and would really just appreciate Nissan standing behind their product and helping us out. Check engine light is back on and does not always start but they tell us they cant fix it.

Cliff notes: No email available to communicate with the corporate office concerning warranty work. You have to use a call center that is slow, cumbersome, and not proactive. Wish we would have stuck with purchasing tried and true Chevy C2500, Ford F250, or RAM 2500 diesels. We purchased a 2018 Titan XD Pro4X (Diesel) truck for our small construction company. The specs matched our needs though the reviews were not as strong as we would have liked the price was appealing and the reviews were not terrible. The size was more comfortable than the C2500 and F250 we have in service. At 30K miles we received both ABS and 4WD warnings after traveling 300+ miles that day. The engine was fine just no 4wd or cruise control. The dealership advised we were fine to continue our trip and to come in when back in town or we could go to another dealership near us if time allowed. Over night the error reset. The dealer said to bring it in when back in town the computer would let them know what need to be repaired on the drive train. On our return trip the error happened again at around 350 miles and again over night it reset and was fine. The trip to the dealership was inconclusive and I was advise to drive around until the error happened again even though that might be over 300+ miles as 5 things might be causing the problem and they could not test each of those components to rule them out. That effort was too intense for them. Thus the call to corporate to report the dealer would not take action on what my local mechanic found on his diagnosis machine. What a run around. The non dealer shop received the P1819 Shift ACT CIR Malfunction detected in the transfer motor circuit error and advised that should be too touch for a certified mechanic to figure out. Finally I have convince the dealership they needed to do more for me and they are taking the truck back in and are prepared to trace back the error and replace the transfer case in the event it is the culprit. This was after I paid our local mechanic to diagnosis the problem and the local service manager had twice refused to perform further repairs until the truck failed again. The only response I can get from Corporate Nissan is to call them. When calling I am referred back to the dealer and am told they have no access to the dealerships efforts though we have Nissan Connect which reads what maintenance and system status in on the truck. Shame on us for choosing Nissan.

We regret dealing with and purchasing from this particular dealership. Our sales guy (AM) was fantastic. Knowledgeable, genuine, got us a deal. 5 stars for him. We do also like the Nissan brand. But the second you hand over the money, customer service stops abruptly and completely. Total breakdown. Something is always wrong or forgotten, every single time. Received a vehicle with no spare tire, broken windshield and peeled off window tint (and some other minor stuff). Now you may think ok, nbd, theyll fix it. Thats what we thought when we accepted the vehicle with deficiencies. And we thought that because thats what they said they would do. But they wont. We have been trying since May 10th....yes, almost 3 months. 3 months of ignored phone calls, not returning messages, having to go in numerous times to see them in person and we are no closer to having any of our concerns addressed.Id advise caution against Mark **, the finance manager. He is dishonest, disorganized and has given us false assurities many times. Him we regret dealing with the most. Id avoid dealing with Austin **, one of the managers. Same thing. Speaking with him can best be described as a complete waste of time. We have decided that we will no longer chase after them. Cant keep wasting time calling and driving over constantly. Weve lodged a complaint with Nissan Canada and BBB so hopefully something comes of that. We will fix the deficiencies elsewhere and pay for it, even though it was threatened that doing that will void our warranty. They love to hold you hostage. Long read, but hopefully it will save somebody from making the same mistakes we did. *If you refer to them, they dont actually pay a referral fee as advertised. That is a false advertisement.

3 weeks ago I went to get my car check at my mechanic place. Everything was fine.. Week later as I was driving my transmission broke and I did drop off at my local Nissan dealership. Next day I got the phone call from Nissan - my transmission is done but Im lucky was still under warranty which was extended by Nissan because of a lot of cases of broken transmissions. Dealership said I will be free of charge (that was Friday). I had to wait 4 days for loaner car because Nissan needed to send approval - got it. Tuesday I receive phone call my subframe is broken and axle rubber is no good so they wont charge me for labor and axle, just for subframe 1100$. When I start to question them how come something is broken now when day before only transmission was for change and everything else was fine besides transmission on top of my check up week before, they started to be rude and give me wrong info every hour. End of story for now is they put everything back with new transmission but not axle anymore and frame - my point is I know its hard to prove if frame is broken or not before you take transmission but I did check up and everything was fine so all I want is meet half way so keep your fingers crossed. Definitely wont purchase NISSAN again and customer service is horrible. I know I can write whatever I want. They dont care anyway but I want people to know and be another one to show how bad they are.

I will come by and get my vehicle and take it home and replace the fuel tank on my own. When I arrived Darryl ** and Eric informed me I owed them $55. I asked for what? They said because they had to drive the vehicle in and out of the shop twice. So they are just charging me because they drove my vehicle around. Are they serious??? Really? They did nothing to my car. They only inspected it and looked at it. They did no work whatsoever to it. But they want to charge me $55.I mentioned Ive been in the Air Force for 18 years. Is there any way to waive this. They said no. Wow. They apparently must rip off everyone with what all the comments below say! Everyone seems to have the same complaint and mention being ripped off. I see a pattern here. Hmmm!!! It is also apparent to me that Nissan of Melbourne does not support the military. Seriously if they did would they not have waived the fee??? I plan to mention to every military member I know, and ask them to mention to every military member they know not to go to this place, and not to go to any Nissan at all because they consistently rip people off and do not support the military in my eyes. Would anybody else agree with me?

I bought this 2015 Nissan Altima Feb. 27th, 2015. It had defects on exterior, signal lamp loose, dashboard bad. 2 weeks later the sway bar fell from underneath. I duct taped it up. Called Reidsville Nissan. Corrected. Now after 1700 miles and 3 months later the radiator went out. New one installed by Nissan store. They drove it and called me. Said it needed a new motor. Really, after 1700 miles. Called consumer affairs and after 2 weeks they said Nissan would not buy back or substitute for collateral. Very unhappy with this decision and have had an account with Nissan 4 years. I feel as if a substitute for collateral would have been good. Now I will be trying to trade for a car. I do feel safe in today. Today I go pick up my new motor Nissan and not happy at all.

I purchased a used 2012 Nissan Rogue from Major World of LIC. It currently has under 94000 miles. While driving home after work one night, on a very busy parkway, the truck decided it was going to stop accelerating. No previous warning lights, no weird sounds, just wouldnt accelerate when I pressed on the gas. I dont know much about cars, but Ive been around enough old and ruggeds to know a transmission problem when I hear it. First mechanic hooked it up to computer and it said it was an air flow sensor, $400, acceleration no better. Mechanic and I go to Nissan dealer, transmission gone, $3700. School teacher and single parent, $3700 not just lying around. Everyone says this shouldnt happen when mileage not at 100K. Contact Nissan Manufacturer, they wont help. Warranty expired at 36000 mi, way before I bought truck. I did purchase extended, that expired too, 72000 miles. No other warranties offered. Manufacturer not willing to go half, even though theyve fixed for other people, same vehicle, same year, same problem. Suck it up, agree to have transmission fixed, only warrantied for 1yr or 12000 mile... WTH!!!! You cant even guarantee for 100,000 on a new transmission?!?! Need car, have to get work, no choice. Fix Transmission, 2 wks later, horrible knocking sound from back of truck. Thought tire, maybe axle. NOPE, REAR DIFFERENTIAL. $1400 to $1600 to replace. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! Car parked now. Cant trust anyone, mechanics, manufacturers, dealer, none of them. $400 bucks a month for a car I cant use. Will never purchase another Nissan Product!

I purchased a 2011 Sentra with 72,000 miles on it for my daughter on May 2014. About 3 months of owning it, she calls me and tells me that the vehicle is losing power at about 55mph on the highway. I figured its probably a dirty fuel filter, so I called Autozone and they told me this vehicles fuel filter is in the tank with the fuel pump and doesnt get replaced. I took the vehicle to my mechanic and his scanner gave us code PO 745 pressure control solenoid malfunction. He told me to take it to the dealer because the vehicle was so new. The Nissan dealer told me that Nissan doesnt authorize them to repair transmissions, only exchange them for remanufactured ones. Then he runs my vin# and tells me that my car is not covered under the extended warranty from Nissan. They cover 2003 till 2010 and my car is 2011 and that I would have to pay to replace the transmission. Weve had the car one year and bought it with 72,000 miles and it currently has 80,500. Now Im stuck with this problem and the vehicle is not paid off yet. At this point I am running out of options. Please help.

Dropped off my 2013 Nissan Versa for the CVT recall. After I left and got onto the 101 freeway my car went from 60 MPH to about 10 right in front of a Big Rig truck. We crawled toward the nearest exit and went back to the dealer. They said it needed a new transmission and would be 4000 dollars. At 51,000 my warranty was up since it had been a few months over 5 years. They said it was still driveable since I didnt have the cash to fork over so we left and almost got hit as the car stopped on La Brea and Fountain. As I was in extreme distress and by the grace of God we were able to pull into an urgent care lot and the ladies said we could park the car there until we got a tow truck. This was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me and now I am unable to go anywhere as I have no car. Nissan... SHAME ON YOU!!!

My partner brought a Nissan Navara 2 years ago, brand new, and since then it has spent more time in the garage being fixed than actually being driven. It has only done 40,000 km. It has had the clutch replaced. The alternator has gone 3 times as well as the starter motor of which it has cost us nearly 2 grand each time to fix. My partner used it for semi 4wd/work car for the first 12 months until we continued to have the same issues, then he used it as a work car. Now being a 4x4 car you would think you could drive it out the bush. Well this is not the case. Every time it went out bush it ended up with water in the starter motor and rust. I may also ass that it ended up with dust in the alternator which is meant to be a completely sealed unit. In addition my partner for the past 12 months has only used it as a work car, which he is a bricklayer and it seems to have the same problems. This means that even if he drives on a dirt road then the same issue occurs. We have had our own issues with the dealership where we live, not contacting head office, and making us pay for things we should have. In addition they have also been very uncooperative and unhelpful to deal with. We have contacted head office about these problems and the fact that this car is completely useless unless driven on sealed roads!! Head office was very unhelpful, had terrible customer service and was unwilling to investigation further or help find a solution to the problem! NISSAN state that they like to have customer service and a high level in resolving issues. Well we find this to be very untrue. I might also add that this car is under finance. We are now paying for a car we cant use or rely on!! We have had to go buy a 3rd car just so we have a reliable car for my partner to use for work. We should not have to do this for a brand new car that is meant to be 2 years old. VERY DISAPPOINTED with NISSAN!!! Would not deal or buy a Nissan again!!!!

Since I purchased my car, the tires will not stay inflated. I have to add air, every week. There is vibration when I exceed 60 mph. The Sun Roof sometimes works, and sometimes when it closes it sounds like the glass is going to break. The passenger side window sounds the same way. Ive taken my car into the dealership at least 10 times since I purchased it. They do nothing about the tires. They find nothing wrong with the car when they test drive it to feel the vibration (on the local streets). As if I dont know at the age of 49 whether a brand new car should have vibration. The passenger side front window motor has now been replaced. On my way back from a customers - 2-hour drive - my air conditioner stopped working. It was only 97 degrees outside. Finally by mid-day the next day it started working again. Took it to Nissan. They couldnt find anything wrong. My drive is 10 mile drive across town (30 mins one way) to get to the Nissan dealership. They would not give me a discount on an oil change, a car to drive, or offered me anything. After 10 visits in 1 1/2. I reached out to the home office. They agreed to do a lemon review. As I suspected, they say they do not feel it is a lemon. Brand new car, $500 a month I pay to go into the dealership at least every other month. Currently sitting at 30,000 miles. I put air in my tire on Monday - 33 lbs. Today it shows 29 lbs. 5 days. Ive had my Toyota since 2001 and had to take it in to get the computer fixed at 140,000 miles. $350. Other than that, normal wear/tear. Its still running fine pushing 200k miles. The best part, Action Nissan, offered to put me into a new Nissan. At an inflated cost - $600 doc fee, $19k on my trade (which I owe $22k and at the time they were selling them for $25k - which I sent them pics of the ads) and they wanted me to pay $38-35k for the new one when they were running ads offering them at a price of $25,600 which I also showed them pictures of. I had a crappy car and have a very demanding sales job. I need reliable transportation. I have been inconvenienced 10 times - because each time Ive had to leave my car over night. I do not have a second vehicle as my child drives the Toyota now. They would not discount an oil change and wanted to screw me over by trying to get me to pay about $10k more for a new car. I told them I would not even consider a new car if the Nissan that I have worked. I keep cars until they hit about 150k mileage. So not only would I be upside down in my car, but they want to overcharge me for the new one. (Im in finance - I ran the numbers). Action Nissan sucks, Nissan Corporation sucks. 1st time owning a Nissan. LAST time owning a Nissan. They dont stand behind their cars, they have terrible customer service, and then they try to screw over their customers. I will be getting rid of my Nissan soon. I will continue to spread the word to my friends and family to NEVER own a Nissan. 1200 people will know.

I own a Nissan Juke MY 2013, mileage of 67,000 km, ever since I purchased the car and I am complaining that it is not giving the full power even when I press on the pedal. I have missed the service for 10.000 km back in 2015 and when I visited them in December 2016 I asked them to do the major service and repair whatever is in the car. Everything went smooth, no issues in the car and I took it back. On July 19th 2016 I took the car there for a quick service and complained about the same issue. (Car doesnt give full power.) They got back to me with the fact that the CVT assembly have an internal defect and that my warranty will not cover it because of the missed service.I work for one of the biggest automotive companies as a Warranty specialist in the middle east office which means I know my rights and the customers right. This of course raised many questions: When I bought the car from Al Rostamani I was informed that the car comes with 5 years warranty / 100 km. Apparently the car comes with 3 years only and the other two years are insurance warranty. (Dubai insurance.) I did NOT receive or signed any legal; document which shows me the terms and conditions of this insurance warranty, only the terms and conditions in the service booklet which obviously doesnt say: Your warranty will be void if you missed a service.I asked the service advisor in Dubai: Did it fail due to low amount of transmission oil? NO. Did you find any metal particles in the transmission oil or the oil was burned? NO. And since they cannot disassemble the transmission, then how did they know that it was misused!!! The middle east office offered 75% coverage on the repair. And I do appreciate it but: legally speaking, is it fair to charge the customer for a product defect, the missed service have no direct impact on the damage, if it did then it would fail in December when I got the car there for a full check. I am completely disappointed in how they are marketing for these 5 years warranty just to increase their sales. I am definitely raising this to the consumer protection, as soon as I receive an official letter from the dealer in Dubai and Nissan middle east providing me with the T&C of my warranty and a valid reason on why the repair is not covered.

I also like the alert system, the stereo system, back up camera, systems for telephones, the windshield service, the mobility of the seats, steering volume to be adjusted when needed, the way the seat adjust to help with visibility, the built in coasters for handling drinks, and all the compartments that hold important papers. I also like the way my plan is set up, the mileage that I get, the attitudes for the workers that is provided when servicing the car and the service that they supply. However, I dislike the way the system is set up for more payment when something breaks on the car, having to put more warranty on the car and the warranty that comes with the brand new cars, and the price of the tires. But still, I love the car.

Nissan Finance has been difficult and cumbersome from the very beginning. Currently, I am dealing with paying off my loan. I paid through their bill matrix system. I never received confirmation of my payment. When I phoned them, they informed me that it will take 60 days for them to process my pick slip. The customer service department did nothing to resolve my concern and seemed rather aloof. Thus, I will not be able to sell my car for another 2 months.

Having owned Lexuses for years, I recently purchased a New 2013 Nissan Altima S, with 18 miles on it for my daughter to take to college. She drove the car home when the MIL light went on. I notified Carriage Nissan in Gainesville Georgia and was told it must be a loose gas cap. I was told to continue to drive the car. After 1 week and 700 miles, I took the car in for service and was told I need a new transmission.I contacted Nissan Consumer affairs and stated my displeasure and asked specifically that the car be replaced. After about 15 days, I was notified by Nissan that they would extend the car warranty to 8 years/120k miles with a gold preferred package and Oil/ Gas/Tire rotation service package for 2 years. It was more or less a take it or leave it proposition. I took the package and will pay $50 to transfer it to a new owner since I will be putting the car up for sale.I will never recommend or purchase another Nissan product again

I am a Federal employee being reassigned overseas for a 3-year assignment that involves the security and safety of the USA. I currently have a leased vehicle with Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (NMAC), which I cannot take out of the country. NMAC will not allow me to terminate the contract early without paying them a penalty of $13,186.30. Only if I was active duty military would they make the exception. Even after providing a copy of my orders and explaining that I am a USMC veteran that is continuing to serve the USA in a civilian capacity to help protect the lives of our citizens and prevent another 9/11, they still will not make the exception. I am not trying to get out of the contract for financial reasons or circumvent the system in any way; I just cannot take the vehicle with me. I find NMACs business ethics insensitive and unacceptable. So much for Never forget.

I bought a Certified Used 2010 Nissan Murano SL with 31,339 miles on 01/31/2013 from Crowley Chrysler Plymouth, Inc. I also opted for the Nissan Security Plus Extended Protection Plan when I bought the car. I am very happy with the car and all of the car’s features. It is exactly what my wife and I needed. I do, however, have one issue since buying the car.On 03/11/2013, I took the car in to my local dealer for routine servicing. The car had 34,099 miles at the time. The dealer asked if the car had its 30,000 mile servicing. I did not know, but I assumed the answer was yes since the car was certified. I had attempted to get the service records on the car from Crowley, but they declined to give them to me saying that there were privacy concerns giving me another client’s maintenance records (I thought this was odd at the time, but did not challenge it). My current dealer offered to check with Crowley service to see if the car did in fact receive its 30,000 mile servicing. The answer he got was no. So I requested that this servicing be done and also asked for the car to be inspected.Upon receiving my bill, I was a little shocked. The bill was $1,393.01! Here is what was done: 30,000 mile required maintenance per Nissan manual; the car needs 4 new tires to pass inspection. The rear two tires tread was below standard, and the front two were very close to being below standard. Since this is an all-wheel drive car, the dealers recommended that all four tires be replaced. I agreed; and the alignment was out on all four tires, therefore an alignment was required. Since I was buying a certified used car, I did not expect any of these issues to be present. Question: shouldnt these issues have been taken care of by the dealer that sold me the car? Resolution: after several conversations with Nissan, I was told that there was nothing that Nissan could do, and that I should try to work something out with the two dealerships.Nissan Certified Vehicles Program is a scam. It allows the dealership to ask more for a certified vehicle, but gives the client no assurance that they are getting something in the deal. Unless you are willing to check all of the 150+ items on the certified checklist prior to purchase, you will be holding the bag if something is wrong later. In my case, the rear tires were just in spec. (5/32) at the dealership where I bought the car and not able to be inspected (2/32) on my first visit to my local dealership a little over 2,000 miles later. Nissan did not stand behind their process and left me in the middle between two dealerships - a losing proposition for anyone finding themselves in this position.

Had key made a remote to open doors. Cost approx $250, including $60 labor. With appointment, took over 2 hours. After going home, realized remote would not open drivers door. Went back to resolve and was told there was an issue with the lock of the drivers door and would cost in excess of $500 to repair. Should have been advised this before leaving with the remote. I was advised they would refund the remote, but not the labor fee. UNHAPPY with the customer service with no satisfaction. I had to go back and spend more of my time to try to rectify a problem that should have been addressed when I left with the remote. Stefan ** told me they are currently going through lots of changes, new computers, new phones, etc. Not my problem. Take care of my situation and refund labor or meet me halfway. Sorry was his response. True, they are SORRY.

We bought a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder on January 1st, 2014. It was brand new and had been driven, but you could see that the sunroof had something wrong with it because there were water stains on the inside and since it was the panoramic sunroof that does not open, there was definitely an issue with it. The dealership assured us that they would fix it before we drove it off the lot. We trusted that when we finally were able to take it home that it was fixed right and would last. Fast forward 5 years and now it is rusting all around the sunroof and we have been told that the entire roof needs to be replaced. This is a 5 year old vehicle that has no rust anywhere else and has been garage kept for the majority of the time we have owned it. I spoke to Nissan consumer affairs and after going through all their hoops for a diagnostic, they informed me today that they would not be financially assisting me in fixing an issue that is clearly their fault. It may have taken five years to surface but I should not have to pay almost half of what the vehicle is worth to fix a rust issue that was caused by their repair job. Its a disgrace and although this is my fourth Nissan and I have been happy with this Pathfinder I will never buy another Nissan. I cannot believe how they treat their customers when there is a problem. They are awful. Stay away!

Ive been dealing with the same issue for over a year and a half. Every time I call to see if they have fixed the problem (after they have told me it will be fixed), they havent. I dont understand how a business can run without doing their job. Ive called at least 15 times and have been told every time it will be fixed. Ive even asked for a call back every time; not once have I gotten one back. After a year and a half, NMAC has impacted my credit score. I planned to purchase a home in September 2013 but will not be able to. My quality of life has been diminished severely due to this issue. I have lost sleep thinking about what NMAC has done to my credit and how I will have to pay for NMACs fault for years to come. I can honestly say I have never thought a car purchase would negatively impact my life like this. I can only imagine how many customers Nissan is losing due to NMAC.

My airbag light came on and my passenger air bag indicator showed off. I took to my local mechanic who told me there was a voluntary recall P8242 and therefore I needed to go to a dealership since this was covered under warranty. I took my vehicle to Haldeman Nissan in Hamilton NJ and was told it was not covered due to the wrong vin #. I should call Nissan consumer affairs. I was told someone would be back to me by end of day next day. That morning after supplying all information including quote of 4911.52 from dealership to repair (lined up exactly to recall repair) told nothing they could do since wrong vin #. I consider this not standing behind their product. A known issue and they will not fix a vehicle with approximately 60k miles. Last Nissan I will purchase. Also told by mechanic transfer case leaking and due to rust on my rotors they should be replaced. A small amount of rust accumulated since I had been on vacation and car was not used. Felt like they were trying to pull a fast one. Back to Ford/Mazda for me.

It is my opinion that the local Nissan trained dealership really doesnt care about the customer and refused to address issues that popped up in my particular case. To ignore the problem from my impression is to get rid of the customer. After dealing with them for 9 solid years they display a total lack of Customer Care. I think they only want the rich customers and if you are at the Altima level... Dont bother us!!! My immediate solution is to go directly... and test drive a KIA where the dealership treats you like a valued client and provides a Superior, Efficient and Reliable mode of transport.

I recently filed a claim for my 2008 Nissan Rogue. On 1/6/14, my driver side door would not open from the outside. On 1/8/14, my passenger door would not open from the outside. On 1/17/14, my driver door now does not open from the inside. I was contacted by the Regional office after my initial complaint and was completely offended by the implication that I was reaching out for financial assistance as if I was not financially capable of paying for the repairs to my doors. My complaint is not for financial assistance but for Nissan to take responsibility for using cheap and unreliable door actuators on the 2008 Nissan Rogue. The parts used are not capable of withstanding cold temperatures and stop working as a result of the weather. That is not my fault nor should it be my responsibility. Nissan needs to own up for this mistake and pay for the repairs on my vehicle. This has been a huge inconvenience to climb over the middle console from the passenger side just to drive my car. I am totally dissatisfied and at this point I would never purchase or recommend another Nissan vehicle as long as I live. This is not a request for financial assistance. Nissan is totally aware of this ongoing issue and needs to own up to it and provide more reliable parts for its cars. I wasted $128 at Lynnes Nissan to confirm that my doors would not open. They told me the repairs would cost $800-$1000 which is ridiculous for a part that only costs $26. I am not a happy customer and demand answers now.

I recently purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue with 133,000 miles. Seemed to be just what I needed. However, just a few days after I purchased I noticed the engine would power down when taking off. I had it checked out and it was the transmission. I verified with the Nissan dealer and they confirmed it was the transmission. When calling to make the appointment and telling the problem that was experienced the service guy expected it to be the transmission. Seems that it is a common problem with the 2013 model. However, I have since found out that is a problem for 2010. Nissan needs to extend their warranty repair for this problem.

I leased a 2014 Pathfinder May of 2014. My gas mileage was very poor. At 2500 miles, I was averaging 8 to 9 miles to the gallon. The car is rated at 19 city and 25 highway. I mentioned it to the service department and he said I need to get more miles on the engine and that it would improve. Well I dont expect to get 19 mpg but at least 15 to 16 mpg. I now have 11,000 miles on the car and am averaging a big 10.1 to 10.3 city and 12.6 highway. I am not a lead foot driver. I took it to my dealership and they said they would check it out correct any problems they find. After having the car all day, they claim there is nothing wrong with my car. Is 12.6 highway send up a red flag or what. My friend has the exact same car as myself, same model, year, and engine. He averages 15.9 city and 18.2 highway with his a/C on. I mentioned this to my dealer, they said to call Nissan consumer affairs rudely. Well I did, they tried to tell me maybe its the way I drive and look at my book from Nissan to get some tips on how to drive to get better gas mileage. What kind of tips can I get for highway driving? Your foot basically stays in one position driving on the turnpike at 65 to 70 mph. The woman at consumer affairs said to take it to another Nissan dealer for a second opinion and if they find nothing wrong then Im basically stuck with what I have. She also said the gas estimates are just that an estimated mpg. Does 12.6 mpg come even close to the 25 mpg rating of Nissan. If I dont get any solution from Nissan then I will put big lemons on the car with gas mileage I am getting and park it in front of the dealership. Maybe it will get someones attention. Well, thats where I stand at this point.

2011 Nissan Versa Needs New Engine - Check engine light was blinking, engine started to run rough so I had it towed to a reputable mechanic in town. I was told the #3 cylinder had very low compression and needed a new engine. With only 77k miles how could this be? Called Nissan and told me to take it to a Nissan Authorized Dealer for diagnostics, so Consumer Affairs will review, which I had to tow it there and pay another diagnostic, only to have Consumers Affair deny any assistance for a new engine, because it was outside the perimeter of being out of warranty, pre-owned and I wasnt a loyal Nissan customer for maintenance (I just got the car over the summer). My daughter previously owned the Versa and loyally took it to a Nissan Dealership where she bought it. There have been several complaints of low compression issues not only for Versa but other Nissan models. Although Im sure they are aware, they will do nothing about it.So Im stuck with having to pay for a new engine or dump the car! My son went from excited to drive a newer car to disappointed. It is no longer operable. Had I not paid off the car when I purchase it from my daughter ($5100 left to pay) for my son, she would have had to make payments to the bank for an inoperable car. I was so adamant about my son (new teen driver) having a newer, safe car, certainly wasnt expecting a Nissan vehicle to need a new engine with only 77k miles. Thought Nissan are supposed to run much longer. Very dissatisfied with how Nissan wont back their product.

First Instance: I booked vehicle at Nissan Alissa Showroom at Prince Sultan Road, Jeddah on 24-6-2016. While booking vehicle, I had been told by sales supervisor that I will get vehicle before Eid (festival) but after follow-up for vehicle, sales supervisor said that he didnt promised but just he said he will try. My Experience: My question is when you are aware that it is not possible then why give false commitment and false hope to customers.Second Instance: When I got sms of registration of my car number plate on 20-07-2016, I went to showroom expecting to get car. Sales supervisor checked his computer and said, my car is at Falisteen Road branch. I have to go there tomorrow before 11:30 AM or else I will not get car. As per his instruction I went. It was 21-7-2016. Delivery staff said my car not yet reached from warehouse and I have to wait. I waited for 5 hours and finally at 3.55 PM my car reached. I got it at 6.00 PM. My Experience: Making customer wait for complete day and waste their time. Their attitude is a customer has to wait, no issue, it is norm. There is no coordination at all between teams/department and no one follows SOP (I doubt, if there is any). Just chaos. No one take a lead to solve customer issue. Just blame other co-workers.Third Instance: I had been handed dirty vehicle. From inside floor was wet, dirty dusty hands prints on car door panel, exterior crevices is full of sand. When asked why its not cleaned, answer is cleaners are lazy. My Experience: No one bother about customer experience and staffs are not trained about their job, which leads to casual attitude towards work. I decided I will never buy Nissan againFourth Instance: Very next day when I try to start the car it was not getting start only clicking sound (as Friday and Saturday service department is closed, I have to wait till Sunday). I went to the dealer. He said I have to go to Auto Star showroom on Tahliya road that is the workshop. I went there. They said battery has to be replaced. My Experience: Speechless!!!Fifth Instance: I had been told that they dont have battery in stock so I have to come next day. I express my disregard then workshop manager told me to wait, he will buy on cash and I can my take vehicle today. I have been waiting. When there was only one hour left for closing, I inquired when will he receive battery. He dial some numbers and spoke to someone and said he cant help me because he dont have petty cash. My Experience: Wasted my time by giving me false information and finally give lame excuse. Battery is out of stock!!! A joke.Sixth Instance: Next day I was expecting call from workshop. I didnt get any call till afternoon. I call them to check. I spoke to manager. He said till now its not ready and he will call me back once it is ready. Alas! Not any call, not even to apologize for not getting vehicle ready. When I didnt get any call for four days, I went and blasted manager he put some local battery and gave me car. My Experience: Nissan has to be one of the worst companies known to man.Overall Experience: Please check picture attached and decide yourself. I even complaint to Nissan Middle East head office, only reply I got is: Greetings from Nissan Middle East FZE. Please note that, we are reviewing your case with our local dealer in KSA and you may expect to receive an update soon. At the meantime, should you require further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us. Not even I got a single call from anybody. I just say if you want to stay happy keep yourself away from Nissan.

My daughter decided to replace her Ford Fiesta 2010 which she had many problems with the dual clutch. She bought a new Nissan Juke 2017 at 417 Nissan (Ottawa, Ontario) thinking there wont be issues, its new right? The car had maybe 25 km on it when she left the dealer, drove for 10 km and service engine came up (just left the dealer). She went back to the dealer, it took 1 week for them to figure out that it was a manufactured pin that was not pushed completely down. She picked up her car, approx. 1.5 months after, she broke down again, got towed. Now they said it was the wiring harness that needed to be replaced, it took forever to get the part (4 wks). It got replaced and fixed, drove it again for not even 1 month. This time it was worse. She thought the car was going to explode, RPM going crazy and could hardly go forward, service engine everything was lighting up in the dash, she got towed the 3rd time. My daughter is only 18 years old, making her bi-weekly payments and working 4 jobs. Now Nissan Finance have no problem digging in her account to withdrawal the payment when she has been asking since the 2nd break down to replace it with another Juke. Nissan (head office) wont even return our calls, they are not professional at all. Now the car is in the garage, lord knows what is the issue but service is terrible, not keeping us up to date and Nissan (head office) senior person is supposed to call us back within 24 hrs, still nothing. This is not acceptable.

About a month ago I noticed the A/C on my Nissan Livina was having issues cooling the cabin and that the temp was not as cold as it used to. I know this because I rarely use the number 3 setting and never use the number 4 fan level of the blower. I had to Despite how high the setting was the air was not as cold as its supposed to be. My wife even noticed that the air was somewhat humid instead of crisp and cool. I figured it just needed cleaning. I was planning to have that done on its next scheduled check up which was only a couple of more weeks.About a week later, I noticed a dark stain on the front passenger carpet. I thought someone must have stepped on an oil stain and accidentally smeared it on the carpet. When I tried to check and see what it was, it was cold to the touch. I immediately removed the carpeting and noticed there was a small pool of water collecting on the floor. I tried to crank up the air conditioner and noticed that water was dripping from under the passenger side dashboard. I tried to look for the leak and had difficulty finding it. Thats when I decided to bring my car to a local A/C shop to have it checked. When I got to shop, I explained what was going on and the repairman assured me that the drainage just needed some cleaning. He said that the procedure was required pumping compressed air through the drainage to clear the blockage. As the repairman was going about the process, he had a difficult time locating the drainage as he was not really familiar with the make of my car. When he finally found where it was, he said that he cant clean it without taking the dash apart. At that point, I became iffy and decided not to push through with the repair, instead, take it to the dealership to get a better assessment of the problem. The following day, I went to Nissan to have it checked. By noon time, I realized my worst fear and they said that the evaporator is leaking and needed to be replaced. They estimated that the repair would entail replacing the evaporator and some other valves. The total damage was about $1,000. The service attendant was kind enough to get me a discount for the parts and labor and got about $100 off. I got my car back the following day and the air conditioner was good as new - it even had a new car smell to it. I love Nissans service and I will not consider looking at any third party repair outfit again. Im going with the professionals, even if the price point is a little bit higher than the rest. Thanks Nissan.
