I bought a 2008 Nissan Rogue brand new on Christmas Eve of 2007. The transmission went out on the car in July of 2010, at 100,000. I was almost hit and killed by an 18-wheeler. Nissan claims the transmission fell apart and after several months, said they would replace it at no cost. In February of 2012, my Rogue began to show the same signs of failure that the first one did and I took it to the dealership once again to have it inspected. Approximately 8 days later, the service department informed me that the transmission would in fact need to be replaced again with only 66,000 miles on it. I phoned Consumer Affairs and they have been no help! I have written Mr. Carlos Ghosn a certified letter and he has been no help! Why won’t Nissan just admit my car is defective and make an attempt to remedy the situation?
So I have a Nissan Pathfinder and recently at 110k miles I had to get a transmission rebuilt. Come to find out Nissan knew of the problem but did not instruct dealerships to check it out. I had all my maintenance done at a dealership and not once was I told that they checked it out. Now I find out that because I just crossed the 100k in miles, they are unwilling to help pay for the repairs. I spent a little more on this vehicle in the hopes it would last like a Honda or Toyota. My mistake but that wont happen again!
I bought a Nissan Altima for them in 2014 and financed through Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. All was great with the car until I was involved in a bad wreck injuring my wife. Talked to Nissan several time over next couple months getting total loss taking care of. Insurance paid all but 5,100.00 and some change. I was told from multiple people within customer service in total loss that as long as I made a payment, this would not be negatively reflected on an account. I made payments that were more than my required payment amount. Then the real fun began. I made a 5,127.44 payment in the form of a check and mailed in, happy it was going to be done. Waited a week, checked account and it was still not listed. Check another week later and still nothing. So I called, they said the check was damaged and could not be processed and mailed the check back. This whole time I stayed in communications with Nissan. I told them once I received the large check back, I would send another check for total payoff. I was advised by another customer service member in total loss department that as long as payments were no further than thirty days apart, I was good. Well they LIED. I was sent to collections department within Nissan and told it will be listed on my credit as a charge-off. I did just received the check damaged yes, but was damaged when opened at Nissan. They opened the envelope long was tearing the account numbers off, then sent the check to me in two pieces so I will make a full payment to be DONE with Nissan but this car was 2014 with 8,500 miles when totaled and was just waiting for this to be cleared to by a 2015, NOT ANY MORE. Nissan will never get the chance to sell finance or even talk to me about one EVER..... And as a veteran, I will post this on all my veterans pages that I am on. I do not recommend Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation to ANYONE.
I have owned 2 cars with CVT one being Nissan Note. The cvt had over 242,000km then I decided to sell it but had no any issues with the cvt, secondly and currently I have a nissan Tiida with REOFO8B cvt WHICH IS SO SWEET. I have clocked 177,000 and you may think the cvt is new. Nissan having been in cvt market is the best...My next car will be a nissan with a CVT...Steve - Kenya
My husband and I bought a new Frontier with 11 miles. Before making the 1st payment the head gasket blew. Truck sitting in a lot in another state while they wait for parts, and scratching their heads trying to figure how that could happen. Of course we were given a free rental for as long as needed, but we have to return to California and leave the truck in Nevada. Nissan Reno have been very nice to us. I think they were worried about legal recourse which is our next step. Someone noticed a oil spot and asked what is that. Took it immediately to the dealer. Four days later they still do not know how what happened.
Horrible service and no accurate response to sudden failing brakes and light coming on. My car has been in government storage for over four years. My front driver and passenger side window rolls down but not up, the brake light comes on, and a grinding metal to metal sound is made, and sounds and feels like a spring is loose with no breaking control. Almost ran into a car the other day. I am in the military, this would not be good and this does not appear right. Next time it happens, will be taking it on base to see what the issue is. What I noticed is if you put the car in park, turn it off and restart it, it resets itself as if nothing ever happened. So, my plan is the next time it happens, to not reset it, record it, and drive all the way to the base to have them look at it, this could possibly if not, be a legal issue since the dealerships seem to think there is no issue and dont see a problem. Standby...for my next comments.
After nine hours at dealership, we got a new car home with no oil and no second key! It was 4 trips again back to dealership to finally get car proper and the key. Then, the finance dept has given me hassle 4 months in a row - promising change in due date every month, then not! I was told by the Finance dept. to call Nissan headquarters to file a complaint so we could trade in the car for another Nissan at a different dealer. It took 3 weeks for them to respond to me! We had to call daily and leave messages to finally get someone to tell us, too bad, sorry cant help you!
The fan blade assembly on my 2013 Pathfinder started making a terrible noise. I took it to the Nissan dealer and they confirmed I needed a new assembly. They also stated this was a known issue and they were seeing a lot of these. Part was back-ordered. This cost me a total of $800. The day I was picking up my car, another Nissan was in for the same repair! I requested that Nissan Consumer Affairs look into this and consider covering the cost since it was a known issue. The rep, Rod stated that although it was something Nissan was aware of, they would not cover it because my car was out of warranty by 16,000 miles on the extended warranty. How poor to not cover your defective part and a known issue and hide behind the mileage. Do not purchase a Nissan - they dont stand behind their vehicles!
I purchased my 2017 Nissan Murano on 2/27/17 from Frank Fletcher Nissan, Joplin MO. Prior to 5/8/18 (I do not have this date or who I spoke with at Fletchers) but I stated to them when my husband drove the car and placed his arm leaning on the center console the drivers seat would rub against the console causing this annoying squeaking that was continuous until he changed positions. I was asked if my husband was a bigger man and I said yes 63 230 lbs but what does that have to do with it? He stated they have had several complaints about this and all the men were larger. I said that is no reason for the seat to squeak! We had other vehicles & not ever had this issue. So on 5/8/18 I took my car in and the service dept said they could and I agreed to let them install washers to tilt seat slightly and prevent rubbing.This seemed to work briefly but then it started again. Nothing like before but still it should not be happening. So I went back again to report it. This is my 1st brand new car and this should not be the way it is & I have never had a car that had this issue and I am sure I could have bought any other car & not had this issue. So I said if you cant fix it who should I speak with that might be able to assist me and at that time he gave me the 1-800-nissan-1 #. On 6/6/18 I contacted the 800 Nissan consumer affairs and the person I spoke with said they will send case to regional consumer affairs specialist to get in contact with dealer and investigate giving me a case # ** from agent #**. on 6/8/18 I spoke with regional affairs rep and he had authorized technical resource to talk with Fletchers and that my car was under warranty so call and make an appointment to take my car in. 6/8/18 I called Fletcher for an appt. They said they will need my car 1/2 day but he will get ahold of Regional consumer affairs and find out how to get set up with tech. 6/11/18 Fletchers called. Will get tech line assistance with them to get help on resolving problem. Appt set for Wed, 6/20/18, 10 a.m. 6/20/18 took car to Fletcher Nissan Joplin, MO. Service manager said will contact tech line and see what they can do. He came back to get me in just a short amount of time and said I could take car and he would call me to bring it back in once tech line calls them back to let him know how to resolve. On 6/29/18 I receive a call from Fletchers customer service dept asking if my problem was resolved to my satisfaction and I said no and explained I was still waiting to hear back from service dept at which time she transferred me over to the head of the service dept.The man said he had spoke with tech line and they were not to modify seat or replace it. He was told it is a characteristic of this vehicle. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! At which time I told him I would NEVER purchase another Nissan again and it is a shame because my sister bought one just like mine because I liked mine so much until this and now they will never buy another Nissan either. I called 800 Nissan back and spoke with agent #** and asked for a supervisor. He said he will have a supervisor call me back no later than tomorrow. He did have me explain to him my issue so it could be noted prior to supervisor calling me back. 7/12/18 a supervisor called, left a message on my phone and said the dealership provided me with correct information. The vehicle is operating as designed and it is a normal characteristic. They will follow up with me tomorrow to make sure I received this message.7/16/18 Sammie called and I was not where I could talk so told her I would call her back Tuesday at 10 a.m. She gave me her direct #. 7/17/18 Sammie called me back at 9:40 a.m. Said all she could do was restate what I had been told which was it is a characteristic of this vehicle. I said I knew of other people per Fletcher dealership in Joplin that are having this same problem but I also know it is not every car since my sister bought the same vehicle due to my recommendation and hers does not do this so how can you consider this a characteristic. She once again said it is a characteristic of this vehicle. Call was ended! Case # ** 7/17/18 I called Sammie back. Left message to call me back - no return call. 7/18/18 called her again leaving another message with my # to please return my call and to this day still have not received a return call.
I bought a 2016 Nissan Maxima on May 10, 2016. Three weeks later I hit a deer with the car. Three months later I am still waiting to have the car fixed. Apparently the problem has been a wire harness that affected the airbags and seatbelts. Nissan is taking their sweet time getting the wire harnesses to Valley Nissan to start with. Now my insurance adjuster told me that Valley Nissan had gotten the wire harnesses for the car two weeks ago and they have not bothered to put them in yet. I am still waiting on Valley Nissan to fix it. I am still three months later waiting for this car to be fixed and daily I get the normal response that Ill be getting the car the next day but never do. I will never ever buy a Nissan product from Valley Nissan nor will I ever buy a Nissan product.
I have dealt with this company for 4 years from not receiving my payment statements, to payments sent on time, to them posting them several day after receiving them at their post office box, to filing written complaints with a response justifying their negligent actions. If you ever purchase a vehicle from Nissan try to go to another financial institution. This one is horrible, they hang up on you if they dont want to hear your complaint, misrepresent themselves. 1 car 2 lemon, never received statements, pay on time, post payments close to grace period ending date, no reason why? I contacted them several times over first few months, could not pay online, because someone opened account and put a password on it that I could not access, they could not delete - bottom line I could not use. 2nd car total brand new lemon send payments on time, they post close to end grace period, same problem, now I pay through bill pay. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB and attorney general, other complaints too long to list. I was referred to my bank to refinance through them so I no longer have to deal with Nissan. I am considering this.
DONT BUY NISSAN SENTRA - I say sentra because thats what I own. Purchased a 2013 sentra and the car haven been back to the dealer more than I have been to the doctor during the same period. Too many problems. As of Aug 16th 2016 less than 34,000K miles: Oil leak steering rack, CVT slips and poor acceleration, Brake noise, Shock replaced below 20k miles, Air bag light - countless, Dead battery - replaced 3 times in 3 years - I tired of telling dealer its not the battery. Stupid! Smelly AC - Like dead animal, Rear bumper color changed... parked in garage all the time... sun isnt a factor. Work from home. DONT BUY.On the issue of dead battery... well I went to two funerals out of the country in July and Sept 2014. Gone for 3-4 days each time. Arrive well guess what? Car didnt start.. In October of the same year went on a cruise Friday got back Monday... wont start. August 12th 2016 went to get an oil change. Got out of the car at the dealer, give the key to the guy at the desk. Ten minutes later he walks inside... Sir do you have a set of keys on you? NO...I just give it to you I repiled. Rep. replied.. The car wont start.Okay... they jumped it... which it started. Did battery test etc... said all is good. Saturday morning it started... just wanted to check. Wife and I decided to go for dinner selected a place... one hour drive away from home. Not just for the food okay - for the drive and spend time together. Well after we got dressed around 6pm ready to go... car wont start. Ok I got a jump and off we go. After 11pm we decide to head home, got to the parking lot car wont start. Finally close to midnight someone give us a jump.. it started and we left for home. Got home without any issues.Next morning 9am sunday... well not even a jump could help it... it was DEAD but I must say it was trying to turn over but it couldnt get there. Lights started flashing, beeping etc... like Christmas. Finally after trying well there wasnt any juice left. I GIVE UP... THERE GOES MY SUNDAY. Called Nissan Monday morning. Customer service said they wont get it towed. I had to pay out of my pocket... that did it. I let loose on the rep. but after apologized to her not her fault... but I was pissed. I told her let a manger called me. They said 24hrs. So 2 days wait... now I used my AAA and towed the vehicle. Battery changed again. Car is running for now. Today I missed the mgr call. I returned the call and left a message....
My transmission just went at 142,000 miles. I just replaced the mounts exactly a year ago. The engine was replaced at 100,000 miles.I own three Nissans and you would think the newest one would be the best, but this 2005 Maxima has turned out to be total crap. Nissan should totally do a recall.
I wanted a vehicle that would be low maintenance, fuel efficient, & nice to drive. Instead had disappointment after disappointment & not to mention poor customer service. Constant problem with the push to start button & Nissan dealer asking for $1000 to repair something that should be on recall. :(
First, I couldnt get my refund for almost one month. I called several times, and each time I have been told that it will take just 4-5 days to get the refill.On October 24th , I called and asked them to send me a statement that I can pay my bill in November. Guess what? Today is November the 21st, and I still have not gotten the statement. I spoke to three people and all of them are saying, that they sent the statement. I get my mail from my credit card company, and from other departments , but not from Nissan? My payment due is today! If I pay by phone, I have to pay for this, they told me. Anyway, it seems like people at Nissan do not know how to manage their business. Even managers!
Right After my accident when the brakes locked up and gave out on me while going over an on ramp close to I-80. While in My 2017 NISSAN Rogue Sport while driving through Sacramento Ca. After the accident, I called Nissan Finance and Total Loss Recovery and explain to them that Nissan Momentum advice me to close out of my AAA INSURANCE in the month of May 2018 of last year and they would deal with my car INSURANCE for me. After Explain and doing so a few mins on the phone with a live rep that told me to take it up with the Momentum dealer himself Who so called sold me the car. I Explain to the rep on the on the other end of the phone that they shut down Fairfield Momentum cars dealership due to business financial problems. On top of all that 7 days later I finally get a call back from a lady rep from Nissan Consumer Affair. When talking about my car accident she start yelling and acting way very unprofessional yelling, I am closing the case for good, right after I told her Nissan Fairfield has closed down due to business problems. Can someone please help.
I bought my 2011 Rogue in 2014. Loved it for a couple years. Once it hit 100,000 miles it was one problem after another. One of the rear locks didnt work anymore, my air conditioner went out but the most expensive and frustrating thing was the CVT transmission went out at 112,000!!! WTF?? And they cant be rebuilt, you have to buy a new one directly from Nissan... $4,100 later my air conditioner goes out the next week. Luckily, someone ran into us and totaled the vehicle before I had to spend the $300 to fix this. Stay away from any vehicle that has a CVT!!!
Just bought a 2015 Nissan Rogue - Jersey Nissan. Problem with the transmission getting stuck and revving - like the car is stuck in neutral. The heater barely works and the fan turns up all by itself. Car is a lemon, want an exchange!
CVT failed on our 2012 Versa with 67000 miles. Nissan will not provide any assistance with the $4000 failure. Apparently they were losing too much money repairing these transmissions and decided to turn the problem into a profit center. Now they are having problems sourcing a replacement! Chrysler used the same Jatco transmission in three of their vehicles, but discontinued use because of the problems. I didnt realize at the time but my Jeep patriot company vehicle which also had a transmission failure uses the same transmission. Two rules for buying a car: 1. Make sure its not a Nissan 2. Dont buy if it has a Jatco transmission.
I had a horrible experience in every aspect of my purchase. I had a truck moved from my dealerships lot a few miles away. I asked to wait to view the truck in person BEFORE signing any documents. I was assured that the documents I was signing were related to the loan and extended warranty and I would be able to see the vehicle before signing. I was offered $2000 off by another dealer but it was too late, unknown to me I already signed. I had to purchase bed extender and was supposed to receive 15% off for my VIP package, negative, paid full price. I took my truck in for service and spent over 2 hours watching soap operas for an OIL CHANGE!!! Last straw was my drivers door. The door is not aligned properly. When opening the door falls and causes and overlap with the rear door. It closes with some force. I took to the dealership for repair under warranty. I was leaving town for a few days and had to take a cab to the airport to get a rental. I was called and told my truck was ready. I returned and took another cab ride to pick up my truck. SAME PROBLEM. The dealer did offer me a loaner which was nice BUT upon returning to get my truck a second time... SAME PROBLEM!!! I will likely never buy another Nissan EVER!!! The only reason I purchased this one is that there were limited options. I was driving a 2014 RAM 1500 Crew cab which I loved but I live in the city/suburbs and needed something smaller for daily driving. The only options were Tacoma, Frontier or Colorado. The Frontier won based on size and price. Im now wishing I had paid extra for a better product and service. Ive had nothing but problems from the purchase to service.
After contracting for a 2016 Nissan NV200 in April, my husband was taken critically ill within two weeks prior to the vehicle being delivered. Although I know Bob Bell had no legal obligation to assist me, I contacted the GM and requested the deal be voided, as I no longer had the financial position to pay for the vehicle. I also contacted Nissan Motor Corporation. I received no consideration or assistance from either the dealer or Nissan Corporation. Although I was a repeat customer, and a member of the Baltimore, MD community - I was told the deal could not be reversed, even though I had not taken delivery of the van. I offered to have Bob Bell keep my trade in - which was for sale through their used car inventory with no refund to me - as my contribution to the situation, in addition to providing another $2,000.00 to avoid any dealer loss. Nothing. I can only assume I had so overpaid for the van that even before delivery, my trade in profit and an additional $2,000 was still too little for Bob Bell to make on a non-sale. Both Nissan Corporation and Bob Bell Nissan in Baltimore should rethink their commitment to the buying community that has made them successful.
I bought a 2006 Nissan Titan in 2009 with 45K miles on it. I loved the truck up until 80K miles (go figure, right when the warranty expires. Coincidence?). Just after 80K, I started having significant trouble with the front end of the vehicle shaking when I would come to a stop. I replaced the rotors and 3K miles later same problem. At 90K miles, I went to have my oil changed and tires rotated and found out I had both rear axle seals leaking very badly, a common problem amongst Titans ($600 to repair). Now, heres the big one. I started noticing a high pitched ticking sound from the exhaust. Come to find out, I had two cracked exhaust manifolds. This caused an inspection to fail, decreased horsepower, decreased fuel mileage and exhaust fumes to enter inside the cab of the truck! Cost to repair is $3,000. I did my research and it looks like everyone who owns an 04 - 07 Titan has the exact same problem. Nissan will not issue a recall for this problem and refuses to pay for the repair, even though I drive to work every day with headaches, dry eyes and nauseated from the carbon monoxide. They could care less. Funny thing is they changed the exhaust system in the 08 Titans so obviously they knew there was a problem, but still refused to fix it. Now, Im stuck with a truck that I cant get rid of because of the exhaust leak. Im trading the Titan in for a Tundra. Toyota takes care of their customers. They just wrote a check to my brother for over $9,000 because his 99 Tacoma had a rusted frame. This trucks blue book value was $5,500. I will never, I repeat, never buy another Nissan product and I will continue to bash them to everyone I know who is in the market for another vehicle. Nissans are a joke! Learn how to take care of your customers or you will pay for it in the long run! I seriously hope Nissan goes bankrupt. And with the customer service they have, its not a far stretch!
I had to go through the Philippines Call Center for about 3 weeks - back and forth - over 15 calls. This was only to find out that it had to be handled through the United States. At that point getting in contact with my Nissan representative was extremely difficult. I still have an open issue and will keep posting on social media until this is resolved. Such a poor system. I really believe we are doomed as a society after this experience. It started when the dealership in CT (Crowley Nissan) failed to provide me with a rental car after communicating to me twice that I could receive a rental car.I am a small business owner that works with the disabled and it nearly knocked my business out. I am very dissatisfied (obviously). They have already wasted my time that I wont get back - but I am still trying to get them to compensate for the rental car. I could take this into litigation - which I have made them aware of - but I am trying to mediate and be fair here. If anyone has any email addresses for upper to senior management for Nissan North America - or even beyond - please let me know.
I am the unlucky customer of Nissan; my 2013 Nissan Sentra has a transmission problem without any previous symptom. My wife was driving to California when happen and need to bring the car to the dealership located at Tracy CA. The only dealer in town! They took several weeks to have my car ready and as a familiar person to the automotive industry. I know that there are design issues and manufacturing errors. I am an open minded person and understand that errors happen. I patiently wait for the repair of the car and pay for the additional travel to pickup my car. I am located at AZ. After that I let my son attending Tulsa University to take the car with him. He noticed a noise under the car and with the months the noise go worse. I instructed my son to take the car to the dealer at Tulsa; they completed the diagnostic and determine an error made during the replacement of the transmission where a bolt was left loose or too tight ended to stripping or damaging the bolt threads. They also recognized an extended warranty for additional 12K miles and the whole repair will cost nothing to me. Well too good to be true! After two weeks waiting for the parts; the dealer at Tulsa notified me that the dealer at CA didnt accepted the claim! They said that there is nothing they can do and I should contact and deal with the dealer at CA directly. The dealership at Tulsa denied to honor the warranty! Well, I contacted Nissan directly and they reported the receipt of my complaint; within the following two day they completed their investigation. It is an issue that needs to be solved at the dealership and it is nothing that they can do! I got a copy of the procedures created by NISSAN to replace the transmission and the additional procedure to remove the parts where the bolt in question is located. It is more than clear that the last person to touch that bolt was the Nissan technician during the transmission requirement. Well after all the evidence still Nissan denied any support or ruled to make their representatives responsible for their mistakes. I am writing this review to help some other potential customers to became victims of their poor quality of products and services. I asked for a writing report from their investigation and it was denied; they do not want to provide anything in writing. Too much to ask? Nope! It is a normal covering for a crooked organization! Do not repeat my mistake; do not buy any Nissan products! I am not complaining for the poor quality. It is for the silly expectation of Nissan that the dealership are independent of their organization. That I cannot have a service across the whole USA but I need to deal with independent dealers, that they are trying to push me to go to CA and fight with an independent organization whom by the way hold a big SIGN OUTSIDE SAYING AUTHORIZED NISSAN DEALERSHIP with their big logo there! NEVER NISSAN AGAIN!
How can the government say rear end crashes will be helped by the very technology that will cause them on the other end? Our 2018 Rogue suddenly started braking, with no reason!! We bought it just a month ago. Was driving 30 mph on a neighborhood road. The car made a loud grinding sound and suddenly stopped dead still. No cars in front or back. No metal plates in the road (I’ve heard things like that, or railroad tracks, even small birds, etc. will trigger the faulty sensor and cause the brakes to engage!). This is a known issue. And is very dangerous and could be deadly. The dealership says they have received no information on this from Nissan, although we have found bulletins issued several times and have printed them out. People will be killed because of this bad technology.
I have a 2008 Pathfinder. A few weeks ago the check engine light came on and the fuel gauge stopped working. I checked the web and found a recall from Nissan for 2008 pathfinder that had an issue where the check engine light came on and the fuel gauge stopped working. Perfect I thought so I took it to the dealership. They informed me that even though it was the exact same part for the same make, model and year, my VIN was not covered. So they will not cover the cost to fix. I have owned 3 Nissans and was planning on purchasing another next year. Now that I see that Nissan cares more about $400 than it does about this safety of their owners. I will never purchase a Nissan again. I think they are cheap and dishonest.
I bought a 2018 Altima with 40000 mi on it. Just rolled 87000mi and the CVT (transmission) failed. Spoke with Nissan consumer affairs and after they acknowledged issues with the CVT in specified models including Altimas they refused to even partially offset the cost 4000.00 to replace the CVT due to it exceeding the 60000mi warranty.. BUY AMERICAN. At least then you have the protection of a 100000mi warranty...
In the past, I have owned two Nissan cars, a 1992 Sentra and a 2004 Murano, both paid in full. Well, in 2012, the transfer case/transmission went out on my Murano and the cost to get it repaired was going to be over $3,500 plus labor. Because of lack of income and I just started to work as a caretaker, I could not afford to get it repaired at that time (I loved my Murano). I had to check online and found there are so many people that had problems with the transfer case on their Murano (I do not know why Nissan has never done a recall). Since October 2012, I have been renting a car at Enterprise, which I was paying over $1,081.00 a month. So if you do the math, I have been giving Enterprise, over $8,600 for the last 8 months. So, I had been praying about what to do and since I was paying this money every month, I thought I would try to go to Nissan dealership in Victorville, California to see if they would help me get a used car. I was looking around and a salesperson asked me if I needed any help, I told him that I was looking for a used car. I explained to him my financial situation and what was going on with credit. He went and got another salesperson; they went and got a sales manager and they did the numbers. I told them that I could afford to pay $400.00 a month. Next thing I was told go and test drive a 2013 Nissan Sentra. I told them that I did not want to have very high payments. Well, I was told that my payments would be around $400 plus a month. When we got back from test driving, the salesperson told me the black Sentra which was on the show floor would be the car that I would drive off with. I told them that my credit was not good, but they told me that I did not have to worry about anything. So, on May 10, 2013, I drove off in a brand new car from Valley Hi Nissan in Victorville. Well, to my nightmare; on June 14, 2013 I received a call from Mr. George ** one of the finance managers. Nissan had denied my loan because I could not show even funds in my bank account. I told him that if Nissan would have looked at my statements carefully, they would have seen that all my funds were going to Enterprise every week to cover for the car I was renting from them. I told them that if they did the numbers, they would see how much I was spending every week. Mr. ** told me that Nissan did not care about me renting a car; they wanted to see the funds in the account. I told him, How can I keep the funds in the account, if I am renting every week? He told me to bring the car back to the dealership in Victorville. I am very upset with this whole situation because Nissan never gave me an opportunity to even make one payment. I understand that I have had some credit issues, which is not Nissan and the banks problem, but how many people in America are having problems with their credit? I am very upset with the people at the dealership, because now they are saying, Well, we did all we could do. You know, if we mess up how credit scores, the bank and finance companies will hold our past over our heads until we die, and sometimes they hold the past still against who have died. All I wanted them to do is to at least give me a chance to make the payments. So now, here I am back to renting a car so I can get to work, and the dealership has their car which now is a used car. So who wins? I just thank GOD that he does hold our past against us for life.
I got a 2017 TITAN I pay 441 a month for. I have embarrassingly made 2 of the payments in a loaner vehicle, had to cancel 2 family trips, and continue to be inconvenienced by Nissan both at corporate level and at dealership level. What ever happened to customer satisfaction? What ever happened to making the bad situation or experience right? NISSAN USA doesnt understand these concepts. Seeing everything that I have gone through with my truck has turned off two neighbors of mine from buying Nissan product.
Auto body shop cannot complete a repair due to the dashboard not available. They (Nissan) have given me dates several times and still no part for over 6 weeks... I call them and it’s the usual smoke and mirrors...they just run their mouths and get nothing done... Car is unusable without the dash... They have basically done nothing to help get this car back on the road.
I bought this 2009 Nissan Rogue in 2012. One year later nothing but problem. I pay 17k for this lousy car. I will never buy a Nissan car again. Every time I go for a oil change, they find a problem. Now I need a front lower arm bushing splitting??? Couple of month after I bought the car I needing brakes, check engine light was on. It was a problem with the gas cap. Say I need to change my transmission fluid. I spend close to 2k more on this car. I will never buy a Nissan car from a Nissan dealership. Beware of used car from Nissan dealership. I believe they didnt do a good inspection on their used car which was certified car..... sign (got taken).
I bought my Nissan Juke in August 2012 and have had no problems with it until June. I set up a recurring payment with Nissan Finance so that I wouldnt fall behind. When we fell behind 2 months, I found that the account never saved, although it said it did. My mom even went in and set up an account, which again, never saved. So we called customer service and a lady there set it up for us, so we thought we were fine. WRONG. Our car got repossessed last night because we were behind on payments. How? I dont know. The only to get it back now is if we pay the off the car in full. The card that was supposedly supposed to be on that account is still active, so whatever happened, is beyond me. This wouldnt be the first time Ive gotten such bad service from Nissan.
I had bought in May 2014, a brand new 2014 Nissan Sentra and it went bad. It had a major computer problem, factory glue leaking through the headliner, stitching unraveling from the fabric, and black paint coming off the radio console and Nissan bought it back with an intention for me to buy another, called a buy back. And then I bought a brand new 2015 Nissan Altima in Sept 2014 and the transmission went bad at only 5,000 miles, the cotter pin in the axle had to be re-tightened, the radio has static, there is a popping in the Bluetooth, and the speaker lid popped up. There is still static in the radio and there is still popping in the Bluetooth in the Nissan!!!! And Nissan says thats a normal operation. You have to be kidding me!!!I will never buy another Nissan. I dont recommend a Nissan to anyone. It was and is an awful experience. Nissan has stressed me out beyond belief. I had to go back and forth to the Nissan dealerships at least 20 times. Can you imagine two BRAND NEW Nissans going bad within six months? Nissan is not the same brand that it used to be.
Nissan is one big scam. Do not lease or buy a car from them. A windshield cracked on a New car. They put the part on back order without a date. The car is not able to be used and they are still requiring for the leasee to pay for the lease when they are not providing any part, For over a month already! In addition I believe there are laws in certain states requiring a manufacturer to have parts available for up to 5 years on certain items. Good to have Warranty Compliance Advisors as our assistance here. We reached out to Nissan and got a pathetic response still nothing doing.
Contacted NISSAN about a bad CAT. Car is slightly over the 80,000 warranty, but vehicle was bought as a dealers demo and was told the 8,000 miles already on the car will not count against me so a full warranty will go with the car. NISSAN dealer refuses to do repair. NISSAN USA will not accept responsibility and inform dealer to perform under warranty. Go to dealer and let him diagnose, then call us and we will decide. They are refusing to talk to dealer or get involved in any shape, form, or manner.
I purchased this vehicle new in 2009 and have since had 3 failures since owning this car. Nissan installed what is called an Electronic Steering Column Lock (ESCL) that is designed to help prevent theft. Unfortunately if this part fails and it will about every 50,000-60,000 miles you will be unable to start the car even though mechanically there is nothing wrong with your car. I looked up other complaints and there is over 256k complaints on this issue alone yet Nissan will not back this part up. I paid to have it installed a 3rd time and was told that it was the 3rd generation on this part and that it would last but here I am 60,000 miles later and it broke again. I understand that my vehicle is 10 years old now but, I dont understand how Nissan can know that a part they make is defective and not come up with a solution or work around it leaving drivers completely stranded in a vehicle mechanically sound.The repair for this is between $800-$1,100 each time. Nissan is aware of it and stopped installing it in all Nissans and Infinitis starting in 2012 but deny the part is defective. Knowing this I cant recommend that you buy any product from Nissan as there is no guarantee that they are going to back their product up and since this is a unique part built specifically for their vehicles only in 2009-2011 there are no aftermarket parts for this. If Nissan told me upfront that hey, this is a great engine and if you maintain it this vehicle will go at least 300k miles but, there is a part on it that cant be maintained and will break every 50k miles and costs $1,000 each time to repair I never would have bought it. Ive owned 3 Nissans in my life and this will be the last one I ever buy.
I have been a customer with Nissan Finance since May 2015. I never had an issue with them. I decided to trade my 2015 for a 2018 this past April. I paid $2500 down (which I did have to do in 2015) and my payments went up. However back in July, I ran into some financial difficulties and communicated that with them in able to get a payment extension which they declined. I made payments which weren’t the full amount and kept communicating with them for an extension.I owed them about 2 months and made a payment on 9/1/2018. They reposted my car on 10/12/2018 and are not allowing me to pay the past due. They want me to pay the full balance of the loan which is unheard off. If I’ve been requesting an extension for 2 months, how would I be able to pay off the entire loan in one day on a 72 months loan. They are not in the business of keeping customers in their vehicle. I will be filing a lawsuit against them and American Repossession. I reside in a gated community with Security at a guard gate. No towing truck is allowed in our complex with Security Knowledge or Resident Approval. They illegally gained access to our community.
My 2009 Nissan Altima just died on me one evening. I was stranded so I had it towed across the street to a Shell station. I did tried calling the closest Nissan dealership which was several miles away but they were closed. I have been paying for an extended warranty mind you thousand of dollars and they told me even if the part was covered they wouldnt reimburse me because I took it to a garage other than Nissan. This is absolute bull. Theyd rather I do that vs go right across the street late at night stranded. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NISSAN AGAIN. I WILL DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO STEER EVERYONE I KNOW TO NOT BUY A NISSAN!
I received a call today from a collection agency claiming that I owe $614.20 due to charges for excessive wear and tear on a Nissan that I returned 9 months ago. Mind you, the Maxima that I returned was in mint condition and I leased another Nissan, this time an Altima. I called NMAC today and they claim to have sent me a statement which I never received. That statement was allegedly sent 4 weeks after I returned one vehicle to lease another. The only other correspondence that was made regarding these fraudulent charges was 8 months later from a collection agency!!!! I spoke with about 6 different representatives from NMAC today and received so many contradictory pieces of information. Id like to point out that when the finance manager mistakenly set up my automatic payments for 20 months on my original Nissan for a 36-month lease and the automatic payment ran out, NMAC was quick to call when they didnt receive their payment. I was told today that I wasnt contacted about the most recent charge because it was end of term and NMAC doesnt bother, we just send out one bill and then turn it over to collections.... Really???? This is how they treat current customers? Had I gotten some correspondence and been made aware that I was being unfairly charged for excessive wear and tear attributed to scratches on the rims, I would have at least had some method of recourse. I cannot wait until I make my twelfth payment on this Altima so that I can hopefully buy myself out of this Altima and sever all ties with Nissan and NMAC. This has been the single worst customer service experience of my life!!!! Cant wait to tell Nissan to shove it!!!!!
Nissan is one of the most crooked companies in the world. Many people do not know that they have been committing criminal business practices for ten years now by fooling consumers with their fancy CVT transmissions that have prematurely failed on tens of thousands of Versas, Sentras, Rogues and other models and it is a disgrace that they have been allowed to get away with this kind of egregious behavior for so long. A class action lawsuit was filed against Nissan, but many car owners never received the details of the lawsuit until it was almost in settlement which settled in March 2020. Sadly this court in Tennessee and all the crooked lawyers attached to this class action lawsuit really received all the benefits of the settlement but tens of thousands of Nissan owners were left out in the cold because they sneakingly increased the warranty to a random 84,000 miles when many many transmissions have failed after that mileage but still very prematurely. I am one of those victims and had I known about the crookedness of this disgusting company I would have never purchased my 2015 Sentra from Hertz. My transmission started showing failure issues at approximately 70,000 miles, but it finally totally failed at 99,000 miles. I only found out about the class action lawsuit because of the research I was doing online and taking the car to a repair service to find out it had failed. I petitioned the court and objected to the settlement, but because there were only a few of us who objected, the judge denied the objection. I am not done with this, but because of the pandemic, I am not able to reach the news media investigative teams to report this crookery. It is an unconscionable act that Nissan has duped 100s of thousands of customers the last ten years. I intend on writing to the newspapers to further expose these crooks. They do not deserve being in business, and if people knew how the company was run and their ex CEO is an international fugitive, people maybe would stop buying their cars. Adding insult to injury I just received a disgusting piece of mail that Nissan has been forced to send to Nissan owners extending this disgusting warranty only because they were mandated to do so. What about the other 100s of thousands of customers who already got screwed? And furthermore, they have made it so repair services cant rebuild them, they have to purchase an already rebuilt transmission probably from a company that is connected to them. The cost is prohibitive for most of us, a whopping $4,000. My poor car has been sitting outside unable to be driven for seven months now and furthermore these cars will have no resale value due to the criminal business practices of Nissan. Couldnt get any worse than this!
I just paid my van off when I started having engine issues. At 120,000 codes read p1701 tcm wiring, p0746 pressure control solenoid, p1778 step motor, p0868 pressure control module. Is it the transmission? The mechanic doesnt want to touch it. Just wants to change the tranny. I can not afford this. I am single mom. Is there not someone that can rebuild them properly??? I bought a Nissan (2011 Quest) because I thought it would last longer. I have not driven the van in 6 months. Its a total loss if I spend the money and it happens again then I am putting good money after bad. Its not worth anything as a down payment if I have to tow it in. Has anyone got to the bottom of this???
Id rather let my credit go to the toilet and file bankruptcy than to EVER dip business with Nissan again. They let dealerships lie and just say whatever simply to get you into a car, then they offer no resolution about fixing the lie. When you call customer service they treat you like a scolded kid, and offer no respect or empathy whatsoever. Its ridiculous and absurd that we are treated such a way when you spend so money on something that is so vital. The air circulation is a joke. It only reaches the front seats and the people in the back get no air flow whatsoever. This was an issue in the first vehicle, and I was promised the new vehicle was so much better and redesigned, but honestly this car is bigger so its worse. They did not have a manual transmission which I wanted but they tried to convince me that the automatic is again redesigned and so much more efficient and yet not only have I lost about 6mpg, the car is constantly revving over 4rpm even when Im barely on the gas. They will say anything just to get you in the car and all they care about is the initial sale. After that they could care less about you or your business.
My 2007 Altima hybrid died now several times without warning, had to tow it to this dealer because they are the only one who can apparently do the diagnostic. So they charge hundreds of $$ to find out that there is a blown fuse, which they replaced, but it blows again. Solution? Change all four engine coils, because this is what causes it. Why? Do not know, but they can try to find out if I agree to pay $160 an hour to investigate some more. Yes, this happens second time on a VERY low mileage vehicle, and yes it is a common problem with Altima Hybrids, but there is not much they can do. And no, they will not call Nissan on your behalf but I definitely should - they even give me a number. So I pay (again) a $1000 dollars for a trivial and premature repair, which should have never happened, and not knowing what causes it.I called Nissan, and after several days of phone calls and interviews, I was they do not see any problem because the car is not under warranty. Really? Privately, all mechanics know that there is a problem, and clearly there is something wrong with the vehicle. And yet not only Nissan refuses to stand behind their product, but they penalize the customers over and over again by making to pay them excessive and unreasonable cost to diagnose a known problem? I guess no more Nissans in my future and I will have to switch cars asap, because I simply cannot afford such an unreliable and unpredictable vehicle. I was lucky it happened when I was only 5 miles away from a dealership. What if you are on a trip? Stay away from Nissans. Oh, they are very very polite.
I purchased a new van from Nissan. Immediately after it was purchased, the fan fell off and the car stalled. Unbelievable but very true. Now, Nissan will NOT answer my calls. I tried contacting the dealership in Colorado Springs, multiple times and to no avail, they did not return my calls. I am from Miami and cannot travel to Colorado just to get in touch with Nissan. I dont know what else to do. A representative was supposed to call me back and NEVER did. Its been over 2 weeks now. I expect a representative from Nissan to contact me immediately to resolve this matter. Otherwise, I will continue to leave reviews on every possible site until someone from corporate contacts me to resolve this. This is the MOST unprofessional experience from any company in the world. I purchased a 2013 Nissan Sentra SR only 8 months ago with 80,000 miles! After leaving the dealership (hrs after) I had contacted the manager to inform her that I felt as if there was a problem with the transmission because of the problems I was experiencing, the car was revving very high while in park or stopped and jerking. It almost felt as if I was driving a standard and taking off from a stop sign in 2nd gear! This is what my car feels like taking off after every stop I make! I have a ton of text messages between the manager and I about this problem. She somehow made a way to make ME feel like I had been driving the car a certain way or that I just hadnt had any experience driving new cars. This was the response I got for about 90 days until my warranty was up!I have now only had my car for 8 months and with only 93,000 miles and 3 years old, I am being told my transmission is GONE and this is going to cost me $3,200! PLEASE TELL ME HOW THIS IS POSSIBLE FOR A 3 YEAR OLD CAR!? I still owe $11,000 on this vehicle! And while paying family and friends and taxis to get myself and my 2 infant children to and from work, school and daycare, I am now struggling to make my monthly payments because at this point, I cannot afford to mess up my credit! I dont know what to do!! And after reading all of these complaints I feel absolutely taken advantage of, and absolutely no hope for nissan! If you cant stand behind your vehicles then you should not be selling them! I am literally crying reading all of these complaints! It has definitely hit me that I am totally screwed!!!
First, Nissan Finance has no email address to send improvement suggestions to so they really dont care what type of service a customer gets on their website. Im an IT person and have designed customer service websites. The Nissan site is the WORST one I have ever dealt with. One would think changing your bank information would be simple. I am a MAC user and Safari is not supported. There a certain time frames related to payment due dates to contend with meaning you can change information when you want and the help desk cant explain the complicated process you need to go through. After 2 weeks of trying website and help desk I was finally able to accomplish this change.
Its a great car. Its easy to drive, its a great color and it was in my price range. It has very nice comfortable seats that heat up and its super comfortable to drive and ride in it. Its smooth and I love it. However, sometimes the tires feel really odd and really off and it simply makes me a little nervous to drive it or really be in it in general. Nevertheless, I genuinely like Nissan and I enjoy the vehicle.
First Instance: I booked vehicle at Nissan Alissa Showroom at Prince Sultan Road, Jeddah on 24-6-2016. While booking vehicle, I had been told by sales supervisor that I will get vehicle before Eid (festival) but after follow-up for vehicle, sales supervisor said that he didnt promised but just he said he will try. My Experience: My question is when you are aware that it is not possible then why give false commitment and false hope to customers.Second Instance: When I got sms of registration of my car number plate on 20-07-2016, I went to showroom expecting to get car. Sales supervisor checked his computer and said, my car is at Falisteen Road branch. I have to go there tomorrow before 11:30 AM or else I will not get car. As per his instruction I went. It was 21-7-2016. Delivery staff said my car not yet reached from warehouse and I have to wait. I waited for 5 hours and finally at 3.55 PM my car reached. I got it at 6.00 PM. My Experience: Making customer wait for complete day and waste their time. Their attitude is a customer has to wait, no issue, it is norm. There is no coordination at all between teams/department and no one follows SOP (I doubt, if there is any). Just chaos. No one take a lead to solve customer issue. Just blame other co-workers.Third Instance: I had been handed dirty vehicle. From inside floor was wet, dirty dusty hands prints on car door panel, exterior crevices is full of sand. When asked why its not cleaned, answer is cleaners are lazy. My Experience: No one bother about customer experience and staffs are not trained about their job, which leads to casual attitude towards work. I decided I will never buy Nissan againFourth Instance: Very next day when I try to start the car it was not getting start only clicking sound (as Friday and Saturday service department is closed, I have to wait till Sunday). I went to the dealer. He said I have to go to Auto Star showroom on Tahliya road that is the workshop. I went there. They said battery has to be replaced. My Experience: Speechless!!!Fifth Instance: I had been told that they dont have battery in stock so I have to come next day. I express my disregard then workshop manager told me to wait, he will buy on cash and I can my take vehicle today. I have been waiting. When there was only one hour left for closing, I inquired when will he receive battery. He dial some numbers and spoke to someone and said he cant help me because he dont have petty cash. My Experience: Wasted my time by giving me false information and finally give lame excuse. Battery is out of stock!!! A joke.Sixth Instance: Next day I was expecting call from workshop. I didnt get any call till afternoon. I call them to check. I spoke to manager. He said till now its not ready and he will call me back once it is ready. Alas! Not any call, not even to apologize for not getting vehicle ready. When I didnt get any call for four days, I went and blasted manager he put some local battery and gave me car. My Experience: Nissan has to be one of the worst companies known to man.Overall Experience: Please check picture attached and decide yourself. I even complaint to Nissan Middle East head office, only reply I got is: Greetings from Nissan Middle East FZE. Please note that, we are reviewing your case with our local dealer in KSA and you may expect to receive an update soon. Called Nissan customer affairs talked to a Trey. No help... Asked to talked to his supervisor then talked to a Alica (not sure on name). Voiced my disconcern with my customer service at a dealership. Asked for Alica for a email with her name and my case number. Said she would. Well she had Trey call me back then he said he would. Keep in mind they dont have employee ID numbers and cant use last names. They work in your Tennessee office. Neither one of Nissan customer affair case workers could send me a simple email. All they wanted to do was close the case which I had to call and have re-opened 1st time. Basically its waste of time to complain to them. Almost sure nothing was done or will be done. Best they could with all their experience suggest a I get a second opinion... I felt like the dealership was being shady.
My car decelerates when I get on interstate and I took it to the Nissan dealership. And theres no codes showing up and she told me theres nothing that they can do about it until they have a code. So they rather for the car to kill me than to fix the problem. I will never buy another Nissan. You would think buying a new car you wouldnt have problems with the transmission.
I bought my Nissan Altima 2013 brand new. I had problems since I bought it. The airbag and the check engine light kept coming ON. Took it several times to the dealership and I was told that the light had to be on at the moment. Decided to call the Nissan corporate and made a report for it. I was told that I would not have a problem later on when my light came on. Finally my airbag light stay on when my car was out of the warranty. Contacted Nissan and they told that my car was out of warranty they did not want to fix it and Its a safety issue.
I purchased Nissan Rogue 2013 model. I am living in California with beautiful climate. From past 6 months on my car paint is peeling off very badly. Looks like problem with the paint. I called the dealer and discussed on this. They said warranty period over. Not able to assist. Customer support/dealer is not telling the root cause of paint being peeled out. Can some please help me on this?
Ripoff and runaround -- I purchased a 2015 Nissan Altima with 100000 mile, 72 month extended warranty. I traded that car in to a different Nissan and had to purchase a new warranty because apparently they would not transfer but had the promise of the warranty being refunded. Ive jumped through hoops already to turn the proper paperwork in. Months later still no refund, and of course Corporate blames the dealer and the dealer blames Corporate when they actually answer the phone. Thousands stolen!
I took my vehicle in for an oil change and 60,000 mile tune up. For prevent measures the service technician advised me to have my transmission replaced. When i picked up the vehicle, I noticed within 5 miles a popping noise and hesitation during acceleration. The consequence was I had to take the vehicle back to Nissan and was told at that time that the Transfer Case had to be replaced, unneeded service and unneeded out of pocket expense. For both the corporation and myself.
I leased a 2013 Nissan Leaf two years ago from Peoria Nissan in Arizona. At the time, the salesman told me not to worry about the battery because Nissan just replaces them if there is any problem. That is totally a lie, and Peoria Nissan will not be of any assistance to me with my Nissan Leaf that has a range now of 59 miles (maybe) in the winter with no heater on. Dont ask about how it fares in the summer - it is ugly to say the least. I now have one more year to suffer through this vehicle because Nissan says the battery charges up to 10 bars and must decline to 8 bars.We know that this does not take into account battery fade - in other words - yes, it looks good when it is first charged, but like all failing batteries, the range quickly decreases as soon as you pull out of your driveway. My lesson in all of this is that Peoria Nissan lies to its customers - yes I know I should not be surprised, and that the manufacturer is choosing to make folks keep a car that simply does not meet the needs stated by the buyer when purchasing the car. I expected somewhere in the range of 70 miles which would allow me to drive back and forth to my work site daily and make a couple side trips as well.This was all explained to the salesman when I leased the car. He is no longer with the dealership. So, I asked if the dealer would work with me on terminating my lease and getting a 2016 Leaf that supposedly had a better battery. Unlike the salesmans reassurances that it was no big deal to end the lease after 24 months, the dealer asked for the entire amount of the last 12 payments and the car. The explanation was that Nissan had changed its lease terms and that the residual value stated in my contract was no longer really valid.The upshot was that for over 900 dollars per month, I could get out of my current lease, turn in my car and get a comparable 2016 Nissan Leaf. Ha Ha Ha. I am laughing only because I am happy to share this saga with anyone who might be foolish enough to trust Nissan and buy or lease one of their vehicles. My advice - just because their contracts are preprinted - insist on adding terms that the salesman tells you in writing and have them initial them. You will then perhaps find out what the real deal is. Thanks for listening.
Bought my 2012 Rogue in April 2012. Its been a great car to me, love how it handles in the snow. Now in April 2017 and 72,000 miles later, I need a new transmission. Despite the fact that I did not buy the extended warranty, I should not have to replace a transmission this soon. Apparently there have been recalls regarding the CVT transmissions (Nissan is well aware of their problems) but my VIN was not included... Hmmm... I wonder why. Since it is out of warranty, I am not bringing it to a Nissan dealership for repair as they will only charge me more than my hometown garage. I am going to have the transmission replaced and then trade it in. Time to go back to buying American. Since I bought my Rogue I have recommended the car to so many people. Now I am sorry I did that. $4000 down the drain.
I have been back and forth to Nissan for the past year or so because the check engine light keeps coming on and the car runs hot. The past 30 plus days I have been back and forth. The dealership says one thing is wrong but Nissan warranty claims to be investigating. I have been out of my car over a week now and I keep getting the runaround. Im still under warranty. I just want Nissan to honor this warranty and stop trying to rip me off.
Where to start; I returned my leased Nissan Sentra in pristine condition, new tires, new brakes, new windshield wipers, immaculate inside and out, not a scratch. The car was garage kept under the mileage. Went to return it in January of 2014 to Paramus Nissan in NJ. They would not take the car back, after I called and asked if I could return it there. I bought it in Hackensack in 2011, the sister dealership, who now only does used vehicles. I went to Hackensack NJ and because I screamed and yelled, they took the car in. About 2 months later, I receive a call that they are putting my account in collections; now I was receiving calls all along about my monthly lease fees. However, I just kept telling them the car was returned in January of 2014. I even faxed over the paper showing I returned it. When they called 2 months later, I finally had enough and asked to speak to someone over them. There is no one. I have made phone calls, threatened the company with a lawsuit, media, exposure - they did not care. Finally, someone caring enough called the dealership in NJ and got everything straightened out. I told them since they ruined my credit, my score was 750 and now it is 62. I wanted them to wipe the slate clean for my disposition fee. They agreed, as they didnt want me to sue or go to the police to fill out papers about the fraud. They just committed in saying my car was not on the lot.Six months later, they are still saying I owe them money. They want $379 as they cant wipe out the disposition fee, the other fees for a scratch on the wheel cover, and 90 miles over my contracted mileage, they would waive. I explained the circumstances, and how I was told it would be forgiven because of the damage they had caused me. However, it fell on deaf ears. So now not only is a collection agency calling me regularly, but now I owe money I didnt owe before. I have tried feverishly to call Nissan. I tried corporate. I have left messages. I have called their consumer affairs department. I have called the leasing department. I had a very nice woman on the phone who put me through to corporate again, only to get a message stating to leave your name and number. Well, I have left my name and number about 30 times, starting about 4 months ago; still no answer. Please let everyone know to stay away from Nissan products. They are the most horrible company around. I am now the proud owner of a Honda, and they are fantastic. Their company truly cares. I have had not one single problem. I owned Nissans since 1993 and it was nothing but problems with their lock box and not getting payments and their warranties and now them losing my car. I just need to speak with their CEO to tell him what I think of Nissan, and how I want him to rectify this mess I am in. Imagine working so hard on keeping your credit clean. Nissan comes along and shots it down.
Purchased a Nissan almost ten years ago and paid it off on time. Nissan claims they cannot close the account because they cant find any information on it. Stated it will remain on my credit as open. Speaking with them on the phone was a horrible experience.
The finance manager over at Nemet Nissan on Hillside Queens, NY charged us $2,734 on our lease contract, for a 2012 Nissan Rogue, when we were supposed to only pay $1,600. He refused to explain the breakdown of the fees when asked, and kept saying I will get to that in a minute as he made us sign all the paperwork. Then after handing us the lease agreement, he still didnt explain the breakdown, and said thats what the numbers worked out to be, and said the contract was already signed, nothing he can do about it. Worst experience ever, after being with Nissan for almost 4 years. That is a big rip off! Now, Im stuck in a lease, paying $290 a month, when I should be paying less.
Planning to travel to Illinois, planning to buy a new Pathfinder in Chicago then drive the Pathfinder to New York State then drive back to my home in Utah. I looked online, found the vehicle and price, called the Chicago dealer to buy. SHOCK SHOCK SHOCK. They told me the online sales price is not for Utah residents, and I have to pay the sale price for Utah residents (we are not talking about taxes and registration), we are talking about the cost of the car. He said; Nissan assigns individual prices to each State, each State has its own price for the SAME vehicle. Same vehicle, different costs for each State.Inquiring, Is it the costs associated in shipping?, he said no. Is the individual charges from that State?, no. What is it? He said, It is the Nissan Marketing. He then said Utah residents pay $2800 more for the same vehicle so he would charge (overcharge) me $2800 more. I called 2 other dealers in Illinois to verify that Nissan charges Utah residents a higher cost for the same vehicle. I am now looking at other brands of vehicles, saddened by Nissan marketing. After several new Nissan vehicles over the past 20 years, I am leaving Nissan, due to Nissan Marketing. Utah Nissan dealers lost (future sales), so did the Illinois dealers (today). Online buying of vehicles opened my eyes. [To Nissans credit, he said it protects dealers in the State you reside in and takes that competition out between States]. Bye Bye Nissan. That is called price fixing.
I have an electric blue 2005 Nissan Frontier Nismo. Since about 2008 and 40,000 miles, it has been shedding paint like my car sheds hair! It started with the front left quarter panel, then the front right quarter panel, then the right rear quarter panel, then the gutters on the roof, then both doors on the right side, and also many other obscure places like the gas tank door, and underneath the hood, a place that never encounters any weather or road related contact. I bought the truck used with approximately 41,000 miles on it and, after I bought the truck, I found out that the previous owner had actually already dealt with this issue and had taken the truck to Nissan, complained about the paint peeling and Nissan did a tape test on the vehicle. They pulled off a significant amount of paint but then claimed that the issue was not a factory defect. I have gone through all of the appropriate steps with Nissan and basically have gotten the runaround. They keep claiming that its not a factory defect and that there is nothing that they can do to help me.I have formed a Facebook group titled 2005 electric blue Nissan frontier paint delamination. I am seeking as many affected Nissan Frontier owners that have experienced the same paint defect with that year, make and model and color of truck. The more people that I can get to come forward with this issue, the stronger my case will be. I have been in contact with the same attorney group that is handling the transmission/radiator recall and they are very interested in taking up this case as a class action lawsuit. So please, if you are affected by this paint peeling issue, please add yourself to the group on Facebook and we will go from there. Thank you.
Faulty issues with new Kicks. I have been purchasing Nissan since 1985. This was to be my very first lease ever. I wanted 2018 model. Universal City was the closest and had several cars. I got my Kicks SR. The model I test drove had 80 mls on it and was filthy. I asked the rep if this was a floor model. He avoided the question and said it will be cleaned up. Enamored I went ahead with the purchase. The salesman let me inspect the car in the garage. It seemed to have been cleaned, but when I came home I noticed not only it was dirty but had scuff marks on it, the back light was scratched and missing a flashlight in the tool kit.I cleaned the car myself in my garage. Since it was a lease I became leery and wrote a letter to the manager Steve ** and was completely ignored, zero reply. 3 days later I got a warning flashing on the car UNAVAILABLE FRONT RADAR OBSTRUCTION. Same happened again next day. So I took it to dealer. While the car was being inspected, I went to see Steve the manager, who did not appear, was busy. Sia, an assistant manager came to see me. I told him of my dirty car, he said he will detail it and look into missing tool. The next day my car was returned. The explanation on warning was the front sensor was dirty. Scuffs and scratches were gone.. No answer on missing tool. Again, the only reason I am wary because this is a lease, has to be returned and I dont want to be responsible for missing tool. Still I was happy, satisfied.However the warning sign came back. I work, so had to bring the car a couple of days later. This time they kept the car for 5 days to replace the sensor. I asked to be compensated, like a tank of gas, they declined. The service manager finally told me that the car doesnt come with a flashlight. The spot is made for other models that do? Although it doesnt make sense, this is the highest model of Kicks, I am leaving that alone. Once more I said perhaps this is the end. To no avail.Now my dashboard is buzzing, as if I am driving a clunker. Cannot hear music. So today, back to service. I am completely disappointed and have zero confidence in Nissan. I will have no choice but to consult an attorney if anything else happens. Unfortunately only now I begun reading reviews on Nissans and see that there are many complaints on sensors, transmissions and audio systems. Yet I love my car. I am heartbroken.
I purchased the new 2016 Titan XD Platinum... 62k. Within 30 days they offered the 2017 with a standard 5 year 100k warranty and a rebate of $4500 on the 2016s. After contacting Nissan, I was given 1000 Nissan points which doesnt even cover the cost of a warranty extension to match what is standard on the 2017. As for the rebate, I was given an analogy using Walmart as their example about things going on sale. Nissan offered no help for the loyal customer, but big discounts for potential customers. Seems a bit backward to me. Nissan wants to be respected like Honda and Toyota but lacks the substance and customer understanding to be a tier 1 player. To add insult to injury, now Im hearing that there are turbo issues with the diesel motors. Save yourself the disappointment by staying clear of Nissan.
The Nissan Dealership in Greenville, NC sold me a used vehicle as is due to minor cosmetic defects (driver side mirror has plastic damage). The vehicle was bought on a Friday and the vehicle went into limp mode on a Monday. The vehicle was then driven to the Nissan dealership with the promise of a call the very next day or by the latest, Wednesday. No call was ever received. Wednesday evening I personally called the dealership but was told they were unable to locate the vehicle and would call me back in 20 minutes. No call was ever received.The next day, I called the dealership again and the person on the phone claimed that they believed they had just sold the vehicle I had just purchased and that they would call me back in 15 minutes when they had more information. Again, no call was received. Finally, Friday, I called again and they had found the vehicle. The car was immediately picked up and taken to a different dealership.This new dealership pulled the freeze frame data and was able to locate when/how long the check engine light had been on and that it had been repeatedly reset to clear the error. Issues replaced since purchase: replaced cylinders, replaced shock. Issues detected since purchase: broken tire pressure sensor, exhaust system detached from catalytic converter, in need of a new engine due to timing belt. Will absolutely NEVER buy from Nissan again. They were pushy on the sale and lacked any decency/communication after the purchase.
I had a beautiful WORKING 2011 Nissan Sentra. But after being flooded by a hurricane I ended up getting a 2013 Nissan Sentra. The car was great until 12k. It started to have all kinds of issues and after a long back and forth, I sold the car back to Nissan. (But here is the kicker, even though the brakes were faulty on it and would wear out too fast (I was not riding them), Nissan still refused to refund me. So I had to take a huge loss and look for a new car with already negative equity). The dealership I bought my 2013 Sentra with was willing to work with me and got me into a 2014 Nissan Altima. (Of course with payments being high and this was the only deal I could get.)A month of owning the car, I get a call from Nissan saying I did not make a payment for my 2013 Sentra and the car is in jeopardy of being repo. I told the guy that I sold the car and asked why that information was not in the computer. Thinking it was an honest mistake, I called the Nissan Dealership where I bought the Altima and they said, Oh yeah we sent that in, you should be fine. 2 months of owning the Altima I get another call asking about payments on the Sentra. Then 2 days after that, I get a letter stating that I was not approved for the loan on the Altima and needed to return it. I was confused because I had already made 2 payments towards the loan on the Altima. I called corporate Nissan and asked what was going on. They stated that when I applied for the loan, I was approved but then I got disapproved. WHAT??? I stated that I already made two payments for the Altima and was wondering where that money was going. They told me Oh that is going towards your loan. I asked what loan was that. The 2013 Nissan Sentra. I could not believe that I was paying for a car that was no longer in my possession. (It was even sold at the dealership.) I immediately called the Nissan Dealership and asked what was going on. They said not to worry. We will fix it. A month later I get the same letter. Repeating last month, I finally got the whole situation resolved. I took my car into its first oil change and then the problems started occurring. The radio and back up camera stopped working after a month. I took the car in to express my concerns about the radio. They updated it and said Everything is good to go. I didnt even leave the lot and I put the car into reverse, the camera flickers green and shuts off. Then the radio reset itself and shuts down. I went back in to tell them nothing was fixed. They replied Oh we will have to order a new radio. That will take about 2 weeks. I took the car home and waited 2 weeks for the radio to arrive. Once it came in, they replaced it and I tested out, everything seemed great and I drove off. 5 hours later it stops working again. (Keep in mind this radio is brand new.) I take it back in and they hold it for a week to find out the issue. Upon returning the car to me, they told me they replaced the back up camera and the radio.I have had the car for a day and now there is a very loud clicking and rattling noise coming from the engine. THE ENGINE! Now I am not a mechanic but I am pretty sure you do not need to access the engine when replacing a backup camera and a radio. I called the dealership where it was for the past week and there was no answer. (I called 5 times.) Then I tried a different Nissan dealership and was told, Well we dont want to touch what they have done and would need copies of all the paperwork. Also if we were to move forward, we would have to call that dealership to get permission from them to work on the car. WHAT?! Last I checked I am paying the monthly payments on my car, not the dealership. I tried contacting Nissan consumer affairs and they tell me Take it to your local dealer. It is my dealer that has caused this mess. I cant take it to a different dealership because they want permission, I cant get a hold of anyone from my current dealership, and I am stuck with this car because of the negative equity. This is my last Nissan. Their mechanics are terrible and their whole business is shady. I am done.
I came in to speak with someone about the paint peeling off my car. My car is a 2003 Nissan Sentra. I was told my complaint was denied due to it being 7 years old. Roof and trunk are peeling off. Car is well maintained, waxed 2 times a year. I feel that Nissan should at least fix this problem. This is my first new car, and I am disgusted with the way it know looks. I have been told by several body shops that this is a manufacture defect. Please think about this, Im ready to call turn to ten, Susan **. I dont come down to this, but I will. Thank You.
I leased a 2012 Altima SL and made all the payments on time. I turned the car in at a Nissan dealership and paid all balances due. Several months after that apparently NMAC decide there was a balance due of $127 and never contacted me (email, phone, postal mail). Since I was unaware of the situation the amount went past due and I got a 30 day late notice on my otherwise perfect (770+) credit rating. Thats how I found out they felt I owed them some stupidly small amount. Absolutely horrendous customer service and I will never deal with them again. Its a shame because I enjoyed the car but their financing arm is absolutely horrible to deal with every time I have had to call them or otherwise.
Bought 4 years ago. Always maintained. Engines light comes on at 115k and it turns out that the CVT is to blame. Now Im discovering that its very common for these transmissions to only last 100k miles. Its super expensive to replace. After more research it seems to be more of a ($4k) consumable part instead of something you could trust to last for the life of the car. This would be okay, only if the repair cost wasnt going to effectively total the car. And totaled because no one wants to buy a car that is unreliable. The resale value is so low because of these problems? When called, Nissan offered no assistance and was very tight-lipped about this being anything but a rare occurrence. This is definitely a steep drop from the reliability standard I thought Nissan had. Never again?
First, I would like to inform you that I have purchased 8 Nissan over the last 20 years. I recently traded in my leased Nissan and was advised that any charges would be waived. I received a bill for $181.16. I completed a form with my new car information and mailed it back to NMAC. Now I have another bill which is advising me that you are sending my account to a collection agency. The letter I received clearly states the hours of operation for questions is 7AM-6PM. However, when I call the hours on the recording, it says 8AM-6PM. My account number is **. If you send my account to a collection agency, I will never buy another Nissan as long as I live - either will any of my family members.
$5 fee to pay online? $10 over the phone? I refuse to be charged for something that really just makes their lives easier (paying online cost them a heck of a lot less than them having to pay a staff to receive and cash the checks). Theres no fee to mail a check, so thats what I did instead and I shouldve guessed, they never received it and explained that to me the day after payment was due. How convenient. Now, I have a $25 late fee + a $5 fee to pay it online. Way to go, Nissan. Chalk that one up as a $30 win. Thirty seven lease months from now, you will have forever lost a 28-year-old potential customer for life. I lease $40k+ vehicles, thats at least 50 years of revenue potential pissed away for poor business practices.
Nissan Sentra 2014! I had this car for 2 months now and I was driving to the pharmacy when my sunroof explodes out of nowhere. I went to Nissan and they told me this was not under the warranty, that it is impossible for it just to explode so they told me to repair this. It would be $720 dollars. This is very upsetting. Nothing hit my glass and no one has even touched it. I looked this problem up and many other have the same issue. Please save yourself the problem. Do not buy Nissan or Infinity. Worst customer service!!!!!
I followed the protocol as per the instructions on the payoff sheet. I wrote a check and mailed it in. No one at the 800 number can help because the payoff department is not on their premise, its in another state entirely! So they refused to verify if the payoff was even received, which is causing havoc to getting the title cleaned. I cannot afford so much as a negative on my credit for them not posting by the final due date. It is not my fault, they refused to post to the account and release the title. I have 5 years of perfect payment with even more paid to them, then agreed technically. Maybe Ill contact a lawyer since not only did I pay more than was necessary, but in the end, they quoted a per diem for the last payment that increased it for payoff before the actual end date as listed on the loan agreement. The consequence I am enduring is that I have no clean title and no response from a helpful Nissan NMAC rep to resolve this. My final word to anyone considering a Nissan: The cars are reliable, the NMAC finance is not! Run to your local credit union or a local bank to get a loan, NMAC is not consumer-friendly at all!
I am a Federal employee being reassigned overseas for a 3-year assignment that involves the security and safety of the USA. I currently have a leased vehicle with Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (NMAC), which I cannot take out of the country. NMAC will not allow me to terminate the contract early without paying them a penalty of $13,186.30. Only if I was active duty military would they make the exception. Even after providing a copy of my orders and explaining that I am a USMC veteran that is continuing to serve the USA in a civilian capacity to help protect the lives of our citizens and prevent another 9/11, they still will not make the exception. I am not trying to get out of the contract for financial reasons or circumvent the system in any way; I just cannot take the vehicle with me. I find NMACs business ethics insensitive and unacceptable. So much for Never forget.
Driver airbag out on my Vehicle at approximately 75K + Miles - I called Nissan Consumer affairs after shelling out 1500.00 almost for a defective airbag on this car and they would not help us with the issue. I had to seriously take a loan to pay for this. Not to mention that this should not be happening at this mileage. I should also mention that we have had to take this car in for the Seat to be fixed and the seat belts on more than one occasion. Looks like this will be our last experience with EVER owning a NISSAN! I am very unhappy at this point and wanted to warn others if you buy a NISSAN make sure you buy extended warranties because you will be out a lot of money.
I want to know if anyone else is having a problem with their Rogue not accelerating in the expressway. I was driving back from Alabama to Atlanta yesterday evening and took my foot off the gas pedal briefly and as I tried to give my car gas, the car wouldnt go pass 40 miles per hour per speedometer. I almost had an accident with my child in my car trying to pull over from the left lane to get to the emergency lane. After waiting two hours for the road side assistance to locate me, my car was towed to the nearest dealership. I finally was able to get it back to Atlanta that same night. No check engine light came on at all. The car seems to be running fine. Took it to the dealership to be check and was informed that I need a new transmission.
It was Friday July 3rd 2015 we and just arrived back home and it was storming and rain and my father had put the vehicle in park and then had said he was going to fix the gutter and I had went to go hold the ladder so my father wouldnt fall and he had asked me to go get the drill and returned back outside and my father and I had heard someone screaming and went to go see who it was and it was my mother. She was on the ground and couldnt get up. She said she had reached to go turn the truck off and was in the truck. Went to get out and the door had knocked her down and all of a sudden the vehicle ran over me. Now Im in a wheelchair And I have severe bruising and 8 inch cut behind my left leg and will be like this for at least two months. And then maybe have to have surgery on leg and foot. My truck is under a recall, a 2005 Armada Nissan... Please call me ASAP **.
Three months after we bought our Nissan Versa, we got a call from a very snotty representative informing us that they had given us the incorrect title for our car and wanting us to bring it back (an hour and a half drive one way) so they could straighten it out. The fuel mileage was grossly misrepresented on the vehicle. The sticker said it was supposed to get 38 mpg, and I only get 30 at most - all highway driving by the way.The warranty is worthless - a piece of trim flew off the car roughly 5 months after we bought the car, and shortly thereafter, the plastic fog lens replacement piece fell off. The local dealership gave the run-around, canceling two appointments because they didnt want to have to waste their time with us. Just recently (33,000 miles), we realized that the tires needed to be replaced. We called the dealership where we had originally bought the car and were told that unless we had detailed records showing we had done the rotations exactly per their schedule, we were out of luck. The warranty was supposed to be 3 years/36,000 miles bumper to bumper. What a crock!We were told at the Nationally Recognized Chain store we took it to, that Nissan purposely toes-in the tires on their small cars to make the car seem to handle better than it really does. They had badly over-toed the tires on this car, hence the exxagerrated baldness on the tires.
I purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue. Brand new. Have no problems until this week. The car wouldnt crank. Replaced battery works fine. Now the radio wont work. Speakers just went out. All the sudden a burst of smoke came from the vents that smelled like burning wiring. Called Nissan my warranty is out. Seen on edmunds.com that a recall is in place as of Jan 28th 2015 but hasnt been mentioned yet. The wiring harness is shorting out and can cause the car to catch fire. And nothing can be done unless I pocket out the 2,000 + grand to get it fixed. You pay 25,000 for a brand new safe car to drive your children around in and this is the repayment. I will never do business with Nissan again.
I bought my car in Swansea car dealer Bassett on the 27 of May 2016 but the car did not have a spare tire or emergency kit as declared by the dealer. I have been stopped by the police and they told me l was breaking the law. I told them that when l bought the car there was no spare tire or emergency kit and they told me that Nissan as a company was suppose to provide a spare tire or emergency kit.
I have been a heavily vested customer of the Nissan Product since 2005, being a Army veteran I have learned that many decisions are made quickly without complete information. My first Nissan that I purchased was a New NISSAN 2005 Pathfinder, my second new purchase was a New 2008 Nissan Xterra, my third New vehicle was a 2009 Nissan Sentra (this purchase was co signed with my mother Terry ** - I still drive this Nissan today with over 100K miles ) and my fourth New Vehicle is a 2014 Nissan Sentra. I provided this information so that you can confirm that I have been a committed customer of your product and the reason I have stood by the Nissan product is due to not only the reliability, dependability and low maintenance of the Vehicles but more importantly we are a family on a fixed budget like many families and having a low maintenance cost vehicle is that more important to us. We live in the great hot state of Florida the city of Orlando and having an AC unit that works properly in our vehicle is a crucial component. Our 2014 Nissan only has 34,216 miles on it - yes it is outside of the warranty for the years but the mileage average is less than 10K a year and no one would expect the AC compressor to go bad with such low mileage in a Nissan Product, my 2009 Sentra still blows cold air with over 100K mileage. Up until now I have had no issues with any of the Four Nissan Vehicle that we have purchased and its shocking to me to have a major component go bad with only 34,000 miles driven. Yesterday I paid $160.39 to have the vehicle diagnosed and confirmed to have a bad compressor by my local Nissan dealership. I believe Nissan should really stand by their product and Recommend Goodwill and replace the bad unit free of charge to me for such an unusual circumstance.
I received a notification of a recall of my Nissan Versa and told to rent a car from Enterprise. I only carry liability on my Versa, its not in great shape. Was told by Nissan I would have to cover comprehensive insurance on rental. The date for replacing airbag is May 2018. I live on disability and cannot add this into my budget. I chose to rescind the service and take my chances. I adore Nissan products and am disappointed by this.
I bought my Maxima new back in 2005. I recently started having transmission problems. The car only had 51,000 miles. I took it back to the service department next to the dealer I bought it from in New Jersey. They confirmed the transmission needed to be replaced. They also found the timing chain needed to be replaced. The service guys said both should not have to be replaced so soon with the shape the car was in and the low mileage. I opened a case with Nissan North America. They basically said warranty expired, so too bad. Then they told me to take it to the dealer for possible trade in. They would take care of me. Yeah, right. They offered nothing for the trade. Sales knew about tranny and timing chain. New car deal was nothing special. This was second and last Nissan. I have since bought a Kia Optima.
Ive had 5 Nissans before. This is my LAST one. It is a piece of crap. The clutch failed at 27K miles and Nissan refused to fix it - wear and tear item. Radio, fan, A/C, etc etc. Will never buy another one!
We bought a Qashqai late last year with 68 registration and for the second time in short space of time, my car refuses to start this morning. I was told by RAC man the last time that there was a fault in the car - something was draining the battery. I took the car to Nissan garage afterward for diagnostics and fixture, after which I was assured that the problem had been fixed. To my amazement, my car refuses to start this morning and We had the same problem with our previous Nissan Juke. I will never buy a Nissan car again!
As a new Nissan owner, I had always been told what great, reliable cars these were. Well, I am glad that I am leasing my car, and didnt buy it outright. I havent ever had a new car with problems. And saying that, I have owned both domestic and foreign. I have had problems with my transmission, suspension, and taking the car out of park since the first week of ownership. Had I known about the CVT belt problem with the transmission, I would have gone with my first choice in cars. The upside is that the dealership at Cool Springs, and Murfreesboro TN are about as nice as a person could ask for.
I purchased a brand new Nissan rogue. It gets ten miles to the gallon. Horrible mileage. I called Nissan and they made me drive all over the place to dealers to get it checked. The mileage is still terrible. Nissan is telling me the advertised mileage of 23-30 mpg is an estimate only so if Im getting ten mpg, they are not responsible and they will not help me in any way. I feel lied to, this is my last Nissan. I contacted the attorney general, so far no response.
I bought my new Nissan in 2007, and has no problem until now with my CVT transmission @ 121.800 miles. I was concerned because I was over the extended warranty of 120,000 miles. I contacted Nissan affairs and open a case with them explaining my hardship of repairing the transmission of $4,300 stated from one of Nissan advisors. I was asked to provide the name of the advisor, location of the dealership, and the amount quoted. And within 24 hours, I would be contacted regarding a decision of if they can or cant help with this matter.Glory be to GOD. I received a call in 24 hours from the same advisor that quoted me the $4,300 dollar a day before stating Nissan will take care of the cost of my transmission which has 0 miles and I would only have to pay the labor cost and I also receive a warranty... I believe Jesus touched somebodys heart at Nissan Consumer and I thank JESUS for it. The labor cost is between $1,000 - 1,500 dollars but Im trusting that it will be fair. Im encouraging anyone that is having a difficult time with the repair of their car to Contact Consumer Affairs and see how they may be able to help them...
The air bag sensor light came on at about 75,000 miles. Now at 98,000 and five trips to the dealer, it is still on. I have been told the parts are anywhere from $362 to $975. This is my second and last Nissan.
I have a 2014 Nissan Rogue. 2 days later, I notice the car often stall when I try to pull off, and the blind spot monitors on the drive side does not work. I took it back to the dealer and that was a waste of time. This car is not SAFE. Im taking back to the dealer again. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. I was almost hit by a truck when I tried to switch lanes and the car stalled, thats it. Why am I spending over $30,000 to kill myself?
No responsibility for a defected paint job because it was contracted out according to the Nissan North America rep that just called me back. This is sad and I will make sure I put this in as many places possible to be visible to your other consumers. In short, I bought a Black 2015 Nissan Altima less than 5 months ago. I have THOUSANDS of light scratches all over the car. It seems just looking at it scratches it. Its clearly a defect in the clear coat and or paint. The service manager at Nissan agreed it does not seem normal and the rep from Nissan North America would not clearly admit the same but did say I was an advocate for you to help but the decision was made not to do anything because its not a warranty coverage and its contracted out. So what. Nissan needs to take some responsibility. I owned a 2010 Black Chevy Cobalt for over 4 years and had way less paint damage when I traded it in 5 months ago. Obviously something is wrong with the paint or clear coat. I have tried taking better care of the Altima than I did my Cobalt. Rightfully so because its about twice the price. Nissan you made a great car and I love it.
After calling Nissan and having enough with my AC, we decided to Lemon Law my car. Well Nissan (corporate) called me back today and they at this time cant help me. Even though we have been dealing with my AC unit for over a year, dropped over 2500.00+ on my AC, having it several times in the shop for the same problem, had all different pieces changed within the AC and still not fixed!!!! WARNING: Never buy a Nissan as they don’t care about their customers after the vehicle has been purchased!! It’s 105 degrees outside, spent over 2,500+ on my AC…. Still not working properly and Nissan refuses to help!!!! I am so pissed and can’t believe how horrible their customer service is and how they treat their customers!!!! Never ever buy a vehicle from them!!!!
I purchased a Versa in January 2012, it has been back to the Pat Peck Nissan four times, all to no avail. They replaced the stick shift two times and then the third time told me it had a recall and assured me that it would work after this time. Of course it still isnt working. When I get into my vehicle it may take me up to 30 minutes to get it into gear to even go anywhere. I purchased a new car because I wanted reliable transportation. Well, Nissan isnt a reliable transportation. I wouldnt recommend this vehicle to my worst enemy. The customer service is awful, everyone lies to your face. I am appalled at the whole situation. Whatever happened to making the customer happy?
According to Nissan, the problem is that I updated my phone. Nissan wants you to keep your phone months to years behind in updates so their app might work. I have been told at least 4 different versions of IOS are the latest that have been approved. It seems as if they are just guessing, hoping it might work. Its no wonder they now use Car Play. The head of Nissan Connect (at least by her own admission) Amanda, claims that Nissan Connect is a great system but had no answer for why, if it works so well, are they switching?
Nissan may make a decent vehicle but the financial company NMAC has a lot to be desired. Customer Service people never listen, can’t resolve issues and always apologize for the other person mistakes but never takes care of the matter at hand. Whoever trains these people needs to retrain or fire them because I refuse to do any more business with them.
Received our 2015 Murano platinum this week. My spouse and I rate it above our Cadillac SRX. I was looking for a best in class product. Thank you Canton MS assembly team. Also a shout out to Crown Nissan in Greenville, SC. Frank and team are among the best in my 30 years of autos.
I ask to add my wife to the account, they tell me I have to fill a new paperwork and pay over 200.00 and the process take 2 to 3 weeks. Thats is the only option they have, take it or leave, basically. Also they charge an extra 12.00, if you pay with a credit card. In the future I dont use anymore this company or any Nissan product.
Nissan tried to say that I was late on payment after I never received a bill. I made an immediate payment and the next one all within a week. Firstly, they didnt post payment properly and then when I complained about location of paper bills I require, they said that by law they do not have to provide paper bills? I never agreed to go paperless as I need these bills for personal reasons. They were very rude to me on the phone and basically provided they didnt care and attacked my credit.
It is difficult to believe that an international company like Nissan would allow NMAC to be such a screwed up company. It is impossible to get in contact with them. They have no live chat on their website (when I tried to use it it said there was a 7 hour wait). I have emailed them 3 times (no response). I have spent more than 90 minutes on hold trying to reach them by phone. I have reached them 3 times to request a monthly statement. And they have NEVER sent one. I have had the car 5 months.
Where do I start. 1) They dont have a person responsible or accountable for overall consumer affairs. 2) They dont have a email add where you can reach out to the Consumer Affairs team. 3) They only talk over phone, but will refuse to write down what they say over the phone in an email. What are they trying to hide. If you are communicating with a customer, what difference does it make if you write instead of talk. Is it because they cannot be held against what they say since no one will have any records of it. Absolute joke. Good luck to those who own a Nissan and need help from the Consumer Affairs. Other stay away. And to those who own a Nissan with a CVT. My prayers are with you!!!
