2014 Altima SL V6 - New transmission at 11k still has issues. They will tell you they dont have a problem with transmissions but mine shutters at 20-30 and 57-70, very disappointed in Nissan! Offered to let CEO wife drive it for a week or even a engineer or their vendor who makes transmission! 22k and its a lemon! Also own a 2015 Pathfinder! 1k miles transmission shudders. Now 8k miles and will be trading it in on another brand. 2012 Nissan Altima, purchased new, runs like a new one! 100k miles. 1999 Nissan Altima 96k miles runs great! So if you can see, they have a transmission problem and are only replacing if it sets off a code! So the shudder is a normal feature they should advertise in their commercials. Stay away from brand until they get issues fixed! Im done with Nissan.

While driving down the highway, a tire started to deflate. I called the dealership and let them know it was deflating for unknown reasons and they said even though I hadnt purchased the tire warranty that they would patch it and I would have no issues. So I brought it in and with one look they said they wouldnt patch it and I had to buy a replacement because it showed wear on the sidewall. Which it didnt have wear, the dirt was just not as noticeable after being almost flat for an eighth of a mile until I could pull off the highway to put the donut on. It cost me $290, as the rest of the vehicle is under warranty I didnt want to risk any interference of that by having 3rd party work done on it. But even under manufacturers standards it is covered since the tread wear is 1/32 off of brand new and there was only 8000 miles on the car. Their consumer affairs dept. called me back and basically said since I didnt pay extra for a warranty on the tires of the brand new vehicle that there was nothing they would do. But yet the tire they put on to replace automatically had a warranty. Am I the only one baffled by this logic? I will never buy another Nissan ever. They are rude and condescending and awful at listening and helping the people paying for their salary.

Our 2013 Nissan Altima (3 years old), only 89, 000 miles and we have owned for 2 years, the transmission went completely out. We have maintain, like clockwork, all maintenance on this car. If tire pressure light appeared we took it to the DEALER ONLY. This car has only been serviced by the Nissan/Infiniti dealer. We logged a complaint with Nissan consumer affairs and they declined repair and/or assistance with repairs for a major component of the car. Her response because we were 28,000 miles past the 60,000-mile warranty or 5 years, which we are under the 5-year mark, they could not do anything and we are responsible for the repairs. $4500 dollar repair and they refuse to even assist with the repair. We were told by a Nissan mechanic that Nissan is fully aware of the issues with the transmissions in the 2013-2015 Nissan Altima and yet they won’t do a recall or provide assistance to owners. This is heartless and senseless of such a major company. Lost and dont know what to do as this is major, while we are in the middle of planning our wedding, daughter car went out and its the holidays. Real nice Nissan.

A nice bug, the Micra K12, 2006, 65ps Petrol 1.2 Engine. I have bought this car from Nissan in Germany, at 71.000km, and I drove it for 9.000km. 65ps, manual gearbox, 1,2L petrol engine. 2 doors, in bamboo green. Lovely little bug. I bought it as an emergency need for a cheap car, and I am quite happy with the purchase. So happy in fact, that I decided already to change it with the newer model, 2017, 1.2L 80ps. But back to the K12 bug. Drove it mostly in Berlin, Germany, and occasionally on the Highway, maximum 130km/h due to the noise and fuel consumption, but drove it briefly up to 160km/h... (slightly downhill probably:). Pretty loud on the highway, but perfect for the city traffic. Agile between the city streets and easy to park. A bit of a stiff ride at low speeds, but quite comfortable where the road permits speeds over 50-60Km/h. Feels stable and has some power reserves until 110-120Km/h, at high RPM regime, between 3500 – 5000rpm. It responds well to the throttle paddle. The engine pulls lovely between 3rd and 4th gear, 60 to 90Km/h, it feels quite sporty. The 1st and 2nd gear are a bit slow. Never had any beef with, but yet again, for just 9k it should not be the case anyway. The gear box felt sometimes a bit too long, but it did the job. I would have kept it, but I just wanted the newer model. Overall a good experience. Hope the new model will follow the trend.

Nissan tried to say that I was late on payment after I never received a bill. I made an immediate payment and the next one all within a week. Firstly, they didnt post payment properly and then when I complained about location of paper bills I require, they said that by law they do not have to provide paper bills? I never agreed to go paperless as I need these bills for personal reasons. They were very rude to me on the phone and basically provided they didnt care and attacked my credit.

My airbag light came on and my passenger air bag indicator showed off. I took to my local mechanic who told me there was a voluntary recall P8242 and therefore I needed to go to a dealership since this was covered under warranty. I took my vehicle to Haldeman Nissan in Hamilton NJ and was told it was not covered due to the wrong vin #. I should call Nissan consumer affairs. I was told someone would be back to me by end of day next day. That morning after supplying all information including quote of 4911.52 from dealership to repair (lined up exactly to recall repair) told nothing they could do since wrong vin #. I consider this not standing behind their product. A known issue and they will not fix a vehicle with approximately 60k miles. Last Nissan I will purchase. Also told by mechanic transfer case leaking and due to rust on my rotors they should be replaced. A small amount of rust accumulated since I had been on vacation and car was not used. Felt like they were trying to pull a fast one. Back to Ford/Mazda for me.

My 2015 Nissan NV200 Van just hit 105k miles and transmission failed. I go to the dealership and thats when I find out how Nissan has a CVT transmission issue. I hear theres class action lawsuits and all. Well little did I know when I purchased. So the dealership said it will cost me $4300 to replace the transmission so I called Nissan Corporation Consumer Affairs and they said Im out of luck. They only warranty 100k miles Im 5000 miles over. What a piece of garbage company that puts out a bad product. No one expects a transmission to fail right around the 100k miles mark. That is unacceptable. Im like can you all cover some of the repairs but now they only care about their bottom line smh.

I bought a Certified Used 2010 Nissan Murano SL with 31,339 miles on 01/31/2013 from Crowley Chrysler Plymouth, Inc. I also opted for the Nissan Security Plus Extended Protection Plan when I bought the car. I am very happy with the car and all of the car’s features. It is exactly what my wife and I needed. I do, however, have one issue since buying the car.On 03/11/2013, I took the car in to my local dealer for routine servicing. The car had 34,099 miles at the time. The dealer asked if the car had its 30,000 mile servicing. I did not know, but I assumed the answer was yes since the car was certified. I had attempted to get the service records on the car from Crowley, but they declined to give them to me saying that there were privacy concerns giving me another client’s maintenance records (I thought this was odd at the time, but did not challenge it). My current dealer offered to check with Crowley service to see if the car did in fact receive its 30,000 mile servicing. The answer he got was no. So I requested that this servicing be done and also asked for the car to be inspected.Upon receiving my bill, I was a little shocked. The bill was $1,393.01! Here is what was done: 30,000 mile required maintenance per Nissan manual; the car needs 4 new tires to pass inspection. The rear two tires tread was below standard, and the front two were very close to being below standard. Since this is an all-wheel drive car, the dealers recommended that all four tires be replaced. I agreed; and the alignment was out on all four tires, therefore an alignment was required. Since I was buying a certified used car, I did not expect any of these issues to be present. Question: shouldnt these issues have been taken care of by the dealer that sold me the car? Resolution: after several conversations with Nissan, I was told that there was nothing that Nissan could do, and that I should try to work something out with the two dealerships.Nissan Certified Vehicles Program is a scam. It allows the dealership to ask more for a certified vehicle, but gives the client no assurance that they are getting something in the deal. Unless you are willing to check all of the 150+ items on the certified checklist prior to purchase, you will be holding the bag if something is wrong later. In my case, the rear tires were just in spec. (5/32) at the dealership where I bought the car and not able to be inspected (2/32) on my first visit to my local dealership a little over 2,000 miles later. Nissan did not stand behind their process and left me in the middle between two dealerships - a losing proposition for anyone finding themselves in this position.

2013 Nissan Sentra SV with transmission issues. Took it to the Premier Nissan of San Jose and was told they could not find the issue. Test drove with the mechanic. Next day they say they cant reproduce the issue. Went back again and went on a test drive. Next day again they say they cant find the issue.I went back and this time another mechanic went on a drive with me and brought the computer to record data. He said that the car will need to stay there. This was already a week in the shop and they did not provide a loaner.Extremely poor customer service. The service advisors are a bunch of liars. They dont even call me back with a status update. I had to call them multiple times to find out. They changed their statement 3 times about me getting a loaner. 2 weeks in now and I am still without a car. Stay away from this dealership and stay away from Nissan. ABSOLUTELY MY LAST NISSAN EVER EVEN IF THEY GIVE ME A 50% discount.

I purchased a 2010 Nissan Rogue used with 31,000 Miles on it. I have owned it for 18 months. Last week the sending unit tore up and caused my engine to blow up. The car has 61,000 miles on it now. I called Nissan to get the history on this car and they told me that in Jan 3013 that a report was made to them that there was sludge found when oil was changed. They wont send me this report and the extended warranty I bought is also refusing to pay. Please never buy a Nissan! They dont stand behind their products. Any advise?

I purchased a Nissan Rogue in 2014. I absolutely loved my Rogue. Until one day I was driving and the rpms revved up and then started slowing down. My husband had to come follow me home so I didnt get slammed. My Rogue only had 90,000 miles. I called Nissan and was told, Oh you are out of warranty, sorry cant help you. I lost my job and then the bank took my vehicle. It has destroyed me financially. I was told that until people die because of these bad transmissions Nissan will never do anything about it. I will never be able to buy a car again because of this. I am 58 and always had good credit until now.

When I went to lease the 2017 Nissan Leaf the salesman made it sound like it was great. You would get 100 mi per charge and they would give you a card that for one year you could use at any EZ GO charging stations to get your 30 minute charge which should bring the charge to approx 100 miles. They neglect to tell you a few choice things like if you are freezing or too hot and turn on the air conditioning and/or heat you immediately loose approx 17 mi. Also, if you drive on the highway you are not regenerating energy and eating it at a fast pace. Other tidbits they left out are that contrary to what I was told the charging stations are everywhere and easy to find. NOT TRUE. THERE IS ONLY ONE, in all of Stockton. Many times I go to charge and there are waiting lines... Even from people who are not Nissan purchasers, but BMW or Chevy. So you have to wait for them to finish and then charge your car which takes approx 30 min...My latest distress happened today when I drove across town to charge. I repeatedly put charge in and followed instructions... But it did not work. I called EZ GO and was told that they had known about it for two days... That there were issues involving higher up approval and they could do nothing. Again this is the ONLY one in Stockton. Finally I went to the manager of Nissan Lithia... Raymond ** who was rude and acted like he did not want to help. I explained my problem and he said that the Nissan Chasers were actually owned and service by Nissan Corp. I asked him what I was supposed to do and he said google it and left. Very unhelpful man. I called Corporate and found out that the dealerships are indeed the owners of these and that I had been given misinformation... Oh imagine that-- and that they did have full responsibility over the chargers. I had also asked what I was supposed to do as I needed to travel and was afraid of running out of electricity. He said he didnt know and that I should google same. When I spoke to corporate they said that they would have recommended the roadside assistance program who will come out and tow you to the nearest working dealership and there would be NO charge. Any manager in his right mind would or should know this. Would I buy or lease a leaf again... Absolutely not and especially form Nissan Lithia. I have called Nissan Corp and reported same but have not received an answer. I am starting a class action lawsuit so if anyone wants to join me contact me at **. My attorney thinks we have a good case So if you were basically lied to to purchase this please contact the me at **.

I dont know why I never learn my lesson always coming back to this dealership. When I would search for car loans for bad credit, they would always come up. Been turned down 4x, the last humiliating incident, finally got approved through the help of a friend whos only supposed to cosign with me but ended up having the loan under his name only, my name - hopeless. So we drove home and just before the 2nd week, they called asking for my friends tax returns. Wrong timing coz this a few days before the long weekend. I was able to submit what they want right after long weekend. Now theyre saying bank got suspicious and asking for cosigner. I said, You guys are the ones who decided the loan be put solely under my friends name, and we kept you posted about the delay on the docs being asked so you can somehow keep your bank posted and now we are faced with this. My salesman said, Bank said no cosigner no deal. I said, Ok heres the key... TAKE IT. So they did even if I already put 3,000 miles in it in only a 3 wk time. What I cant forget is the humiliation of taking my stuff out under the heat of the sun and piling them up on the side of the guest parking while I wait for my friend to pick me up. FIRST TIME that I experienced such humiliation, although Im a BIG FAN of the NISSAN JUKE, and 2nd GENERATION NISSAN JUKE IS COMING OUT NEXT YEAR; NEVER MIND AND NEVER AGAIN. Thanks Nissan LB. That review is posted on their website. Customer Relations messaged me and left a number to call in case I want to further discuss and get help, but for 4 days Ive been calling but no ones answering. I thought they are testing me how far can I go about telling my ordeal, so Im escalating it to you.

Purchased a 2013 Pathfinder Platinum brand new. Has 24K miles on it and all
Purchased a 2013 Pathfinder Platinum brand new. Has 24K miles on it and all 4 tires are bald. My wife has hydroplaned with our 16 month old and our 4 month old in the car and almost crashed. We had to stop driving it. At first we thought that Bridgestone would be responsible but after talking to them we found that they do not offer a tire warranty on OEM tires. This is because the manufacturer, Nissan in this case, sets the specifications by which the tire is to be made. They spec soft rubber on OEM tires in order to get a softer ride and better gas mileage etc. So they are made by the tire manufacturer but to the specs that Nissan sets. In these types of agreements between car manufacturers and tire manufacturers the tire company offers no warranty on the tires because they know the rubber specs that car manufacturers set is inferior. Nissan buys poor quality tires with a name brand on them at dirt cheap prices, put them on all their cars and neither company takes any responsibility for the poor product. We have talked with Nissan consumer affairs until we are blue in the face and they will not lift a finger to help. They did not even offer to try to help us work with Bridgestone or our dealership to get a discount on new tires. They have literally offered no kind of help at all. Nissan designed the rubber compound, Nissan put them on their cars and passed them off as high quality, and Nissan should stand behind everything they put on their cars. Especially when they are directly responsible for the design and performance. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM NISSAN!

I have continued problems with my 2009 Altima which I have not exceed 110,000 miles. Speaking with your dealer service department they want to charge $120.00 to run a test and find out if the problem with the transmission is still under warranty. Which to me is confusing if your consumer affairs say the CVT is under warranty until 2019 or 120,000 miles I have not exceed either. Ive never had a car with this amount of issues even when I was buying used cars. I never owned a Nissan and with the experience Im having and the issue Ive had in the past I will never purchase or own one again. Several of my friends who drive or have driven Nissan products have had bad experiences as well.

The promotion is a complete failure. I am unable to register or to log in; the instructions in the Internet are to enter either the pin code or the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), while the instruction on the colorful mailing is to enter the pin code and repair order invoice. Also, on the mailing is an instruction to scan to enter. The local employees in S. Burlington are completely uninformed of the sweepstakes. Repeated phone calls to the local office are either not answered, or unanswered by people with no knowledge of the sweepstakes. I called a number once asking for help; a man answered saying there was a problem, but he managed to enter my registration. On the second try, neither my registration nor log in information would work. If Nissan is going to run a sweepstake, it should be done with much more care.

I cant tell you how disappointed I am with Nissan Consumer Affairs regardin
I cant tell you how disappointed I am with Nissan Consumer Affairs regarding a problem we have experienced with our 2005 Nissan Murano. Im referring to Case ** in which they told us that our car needed a transfer case replacement. Although the Murano is 9 years old it only has 24,900 miles on it. Nissan has quoted me $3,200 to fix this problem. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs (a gentleman named Will) because I did not feel a transfer case should go out after only 24,900 miles on it, even though it may be 9 years old. He claims they looked into this issue and offered to pay a token $500 towards the $3,200 repair bill. This seems extremely low, and that Nissan feels no responsibility for the mechanical failure of their cars. When I asked what would cause a transfer case to go out, Will told me he did not know and maybe we did not drive it enough, which seemed ridiculous. He then told me I had 30 days to either use the $500 or lose it. I told him I really did not see any option here since the car can not be driven. He however said I did, we could just walk away from it and that some people with 180,000 to 200,000 mile choose to walk away versus pay for an expensive repair bill. I told him our car with 24,500 miles versus 200,000 was a big difference. He said it was his job to relay this statement. We have had several Nissan vehicles and until now I have been very happy with them, however after this experience, we will be hard pressed to say a good word about Nissan and any responsibility towards the reliability towards their cars. This is a faulty mechanical equipment problem, not a time issue. Its obvious No one at Nissan Consumer Affairs cares but after this experience, I will never purchase another Nissan vehicle, nor will I probably ever use their Service Dept again. Extremely disappointed in Nissan!!!

Murano SL model 2017.5 purchased 5/8/17. Failed Forward Emergency Braking. Returned to selling dealership which insisted the computer showed no error. The dealer refused to road test the vehicle. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs. They informed me they could NOT do anything to caused the dealership to honor the warranty. They would not help me find another dealership to help me. I located another dealership who found a computer error and debris on the camera repairing the problem. The car now operates properly. Nissan claims they have no control over their dealers so if the dealer wont honor the warranty the problem falls on the purchaser. The car had less than 6000 miles when this occurred.

I leased a 2014 Pathfinder May of 2014. My gas mileage was very poor. At 2500 miles, I was averaging 8 to 9 miles to the gallon. The car is rated at 19 city and 25 highway. I mentioned it to the service department and he said I need to get more miles on the engine and that it would improve. Well I dont expect to get 19 mpg but at least 15 to 16 mpg. I now have 11,000 miles on the car and am averaging a big 10.1 to 10.3 city and 12.6 highway. I am not a lead foot driver. I took it to my dealership and they said they would check it out correct any problems they find. After having the car all day, they claim there is nothing wrong with my car. Is 12.6 highway send up a red flag or what. My friend has the exact same car as myself, same model, year, and engine. He averages 15.9 city and 18.2 highway with his a/C on. I mentioned this to my dealer, they said to call Nissan consumer affairs rudely. Well I did, they tried to tell me maybe its the way I drive and look at my book from Nissan to get some tips on how to drive to get better gas mileage. What kind of tips can I get for highway driving? Your foot basically stays in one position driving on the turnpike at 65 to 70 mph. The woman at consumer affairs said to take it to another Nissan dealer for a second opinion and if they find nothing wrong then Im basically stuck with what I have. She also said the gas estimates are just that an estimated mpg. Does 12.6 mpg come even close to the 25 mpg rating of Nissan. If I dont get any solution from Nissan then I will put big lemons on the car with gas mileage I am getting and park it in front of the dealership. Maybe it will get someones attention. I am the unlucky customer of Nissan; my 2013 Nissan Sentra has a transmission problem without any previous symptom. My wife was driving to California when happen and need to bring the car to the dealership located at Tracy CA. The only dealer in town! They took several weeks to have my car ready and as a familiar person to the automotive industry. I know that there are design issues and manufacturing errors. I am an open minded person and understand that errors happen. I patiently wait for the repair of the car and pay for the additional travel to pickup my car. I am located at AZ. After that I let my son attending Tulsa University to take the car with him. He noticed a noise under the car and with the months the noise go worse. I instructed my son to take the car to the dealer at Tulsa; they completed the diagnostic and determine an error made during the replacement of the transmission where a bolt was left loose or too tight ended to stripping or damaging the bolt threads. They also recognized an extended warranty for additional 12K miles and the whole repair will cost nothing to me. Well too good to be true! After two weeks waiting for the parts; the dealer at Tulsa notified me that the dealer at CA didnt accepted the claim! They said that there is nothing they can do and I should contact and deal with the dealer at CA directly. The dealership at Tulsa denied to honor the warranty! Well, I contacted Nissan directly and they reported the receipt of my complaint; within the following two day they completed their investigation. It is an issue that needs to be solved at the dealership and it is nothing that they can do! I got a copy of the procedures created by NISSAN to replace the transmission and the additional procedure to remove the parts where the bolt in question is located. It is more than clear that the last person to touch that bolt was the Nissan technician during the transmission requirement. Well after all the evidence still Nissan denied any support or ruled to make their representatives responsible for their mistakes. I am writing this review to help some other potential customers to became victims of their poor quality of products and services. I asked for a writing report from their investigation and it was denied; they do not want to provide anything in writing. Too much to ask? Nope! It is a normal covering for a crooked organization! Do not repeat my mistake; do not buy any Nissan products! I am not complaining for the poor quality. It is for the silly expectation of Nissan that the dealership are independent of their organization. That I cannot have a service across the whole USA but I need to deal with independent dealers, that they are trying to push me to go to CA and fight with an independent organization whom by the way hold a big SIGN OUTSIDE SAYING AUTHORIZED NISSAN DEALERSHIP with their big logo there! NEVER NISSAN AGAIN!

The Nissan was a smooth ride and engine was quiet but there were other problems that made the car very weak although the price was very good. Had so many problems that I traded in car for another and service was not that great with replacement parts needed often and the same problem kept occurring which made me question whether car make was viable. There were many problems with fuel pump that had to be replaced several times and gas tank was very small so had to fill up frequently and originally car just stalled in the middle of the road when driving due to malfunctioned fuel pump which was very dangerous.

Made payment on Jan. 26th online. Received the following email (shortened for time sake). This email was received on 1/26/16. Thank you for scheduling your one-time payment online. Your payment in the amount of $343.00 will be credited to your account ending in ** on 01/26/2016. I then receive an email 1/28/16 that states the following: We have received your request to make the following online payment: Amount: $343.00. Date Scheduled: 01/26/2016. This payment should be processed and applied to your account within two business days of the scheduled date.In the mean time it was noted to be 30 days late and it was sent to Credit Bureau. Im frustrated as I believed that it would be credited the same day I put it in. Am I misinterpreting the word credited? And the first email states nothing to the point that it would take two days nor does the website indicate this when utilizing this service. The website is not updated on a timely basis either. Very poor management. Not at all in the 21st century!

I am so glad I googled Nissan Finance complaints. I am sorry for your experiences but I dont feel so alone now in dealing with the nightmare that is NMAC. Their zero star online payment processing has created payment reversals when there should never have been one, and me not catching the payments not going through. I love (not) their disclaimer that a confirmation number really, really isnt. Whats the point of it then especially after paying online payment processing fee?The final straw has been once again setting up automatic withdrawal, with email notification all was successful, only to find nothing drawn out of account and a late charge applied. I was totally perplexed. I finally figured out why. Going into the bank information, I found a totally different routing number! They refuse to acknowledge it or credit two late payments because of it. Well, Nissan, guess what? I didnt make that second payment because Id rather go trade the car in, taking yet another hit because of previous over 30 notices you wrongfully put on my credit report, and give the money to another car manufacturer, because this is definitely the last time NMAC gets my business!

I purchase a 2012 Nissan Juke Oct 2013 with 5700 miles - now 15,000 miles, it kept on cutting out. I took it into my local dealer. After paying 88£ they told me it would need a new gearbox (value 6700) and just fob me off, saying warranty expired since March of this year. As a single mother with 3 children, I just cant afford it and the sales person whom was soon nice to me before I purchased the car now fobs me off and say there is nothing they can do. Everyone (9) spoke to says its a manufacturer fault and they should consider giving me at least a refurbished gearbox, etc. as for such a new car with low mileage. The gearbox shouldnt have stop working and an automatic transmission at that.

With MUCH regret, my husband and I purchased a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder from
With MUCH regret, my husband and I purchased a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder from Pinnacle Nissan in Scottsdale, AZ. I went to that dealership November 2018 thinking I was going to get a Black Friday special, but instead got ripped off. The salesperson stated the pearl color would be an extra charge and we agreed to pay the extra. When I came back to pick the vehicle up because they had to order that color they said, a pure white Nissan Pathfinder was waiting for me. I argued back and forth with the sales manager at that time, and he stated the vehicle I was receiving does not come in Pearl white. I mean they got their sale, so who cares about the color right? I wish to God, I would have just walked away, but I drove off in the white Nissan Pathfinder. In addition, we thought we were purchasing an extended warranty up to 100K miles the reason our payment was outrageous. We were ok with that knowing we would have coverage for a while. The finance guy also talked us into some paint package. I returned to Pinnacle about a year or so later (it should be in the records) to get the paint touch up coverage (not sure of the exact name). We were not given any instructions other than we have that coverage and weve never purchased it with any other vehicles. So, I pull up to the service dept at Pinnacle and was met by the rudest person Ive encountered in a while. He said your car is dirty! Theres a car wash down the street! Go and come back! Well, I was under the impression they would wash it at the dealership, and I was in a hurry on a Saturday with a lineup of errands. I did as he barked out for me to do and returned the vehicle. Pinnacle, please work on your customer service! Its important! I then visit ABC Nissan in Phoenix, AZ in 2021. The second row would not collapse, and we were told it was not covered by the warranty. What? A 2018 with coverage up to 100K miles? Well, guess what, we are NOT covered up to 100K miles. Not sure how we got swindled into paying an outrageous car payment with little to no warranty coverage? So, I call my nice “go to” service advisor Tyler at Coulter Nissan in Surprise, AZ immediately tried to help me and said he could do a one time goodwill coverage. I didn’t go to him in the first place because I was close to ABC Nissan at the time and somehow thought I would receive good service at any Nissan dealership! Tyler is SO awesome and is the ONLY one who represents Nissan well. Tyler said that ABC Nissan could also use the good will coverage so I wouldnt have to move my car from ABC to Coulter. The salesperson at ABC was horrible and kept quoting different pick-up times for when the vehicle would be ready. This was very important as I was traveling from Phoenix back home to California on tight time restrictions for work. The manager at ABC Nissan, Anthony **, finally intervened and tried to hurry the techs along as the salesperson shouldnt have called and said the vehicle was ready if it wasnt! I was in tears and extremely frustrated at this point as I was given 3 different times the vehicle would be ready. Anthony gave me money to go get lunch and to stall for the technicians to hurry and finish the job that was promised hours before my arrival. After several months, my daughter noticed a bolt sticking up in the seat and the seat belt would not work! We were not surprised there were more problems with this Nissan vehicle! I took the vehicle to Pedder Nissan in Hemet, CA. The technician/manager there stated the bolt was never put back properly by ABC Nissan! Whhaatt?? How dangerous?? ABC Nissan must have rushed to get the car out and carelessly did not put the bolt back properly. I should have taken pictures, but Im sure Pedder Nissan has some. The tech at Pedder was kind enough to fix the bolt at no charge. They provided good customer service as I showed up with no appointment and he got me in quickly.More problems with this new Nissan Pathfinder! Apparently, there is some known CVT issue with the Nissan Pathfinder. This issue/dash/radio would go in and out in my vehicle and was random when the dash/radio would work. I took the vehicle to Temecula Nissan where Alex Campagna assisted me. Apparently, Alex was not aware of the CVT issue? He told me they could not help me unless the dash/radio was actually not functioning at the time the vehicle was in their possession. Of course, when I took it to Temecula Nissan, the dash worked fine. I drove away from Temecula Nissan with no resolution! I go to visit in Phoenix again and I can ALWAYS rely on Tyler at Coulter Nissan. He knew exactly what I was talking about before I could even get it out good! He immediately helped me and was able to charge a minimum fee to fix it. Whenever Im at Coulter and dealing with Tyler, I always feel safe and do not worry about getting taken advantage of! Tyler is just a good person and a good representation of Nissan. I shouldn’t have to go to another state to hope for good customer service from a Nissan dealership! I wish I had purchased our recent vehicle from Coulter, but thought we were getting some special deal at Pinnacle. Worst mistake of our lives! Maybe some internal training is needed throughout Nissan for consistent customer service, complete/accurate work, and knowledge of recalls! I would love to have the Pearl Nissan Pathfinder I originally hoped for, but in the meantime, Tyler has helped make my regrets of dealing with Pinnacle Nissan, ABC Nissan, and Temecula Nissan a little better.

On March 12, 2012, I went to pickup my newly leased Nissan and found out that the plates on the lease car I was turning in could not be transferred to the new car because the registration had been canceled on 12/30/11 without my knowledge or permission. I had to pay for new plates. I called Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp (NMAC) and was told they knew nothing about my registration being canceled nor did my insurance company. After contacting RMV several times, I found out that my registration had been canceled online. They also told me that my plates had been returned. However, my plates were still on my car when I went to the dealership on March 12. How could they have been returned? I have also continued to pay my lease note and insurance on the car during the past three months without any knowledge of registration cancellation. I spoke with the assistant registrar of RMV in Massachusetts today, 3/15/12, and she told me that the IT department at RMV found that it had been canceled via email by a Loida ** from the Tax and Registration Department at NMAC on 12/30/11. This morning I called NMAC and they told me they now have a note regarding my cancellation that was posted on March 13th. However, they previously had no record and knew nothing about the cancellation and told me they have nothing to do with cancellation and to call the RMV. Now, the story has changed. I drove around for three months with a registration certificate in my car, which I didnt even know was invalid or cancelled. What if I had been in a serious accident? I am also required to pay excise taxes in Massachusetts. I received a letter from Nissan in December that they would be including it in my lease bill in the upcoming months as they usually do. I contacted the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts on 3/12/12 and found that they had not received notification to send Nissan a bill from the RMV, which indicated that something occurred like my registration being canceled. Now, I am afraid that this would happen anytime and frequently. I would then have to pay for new registration, new plates and explain and prove to RMV that it’s not me and why its being canceled. This is a major problem for me. I have contacted the governors office, Attorney General, RMV and Nissan looking for help. I need assistance.

Last week they had his car repossessed for no payment... But he has been paying. Hes even told them that he wont ever get another Nissan and asked them if they scam all soldiers like this? they hung up on him. He has yet to get his car back and they still wont admit that theres something wrong in the whole payment thing. They said he hasnt paid in 4 months. I have a 2015 Sentra and Im thinking of selling mine so I dont go through this crap too. NMAC are nothing but scammers.

Purchased a used Nissan GTR from Atlanta, classic cars within two months the radio and transmission failed. Took the car to Nissan to see if they could repair the transmission they said no but went on to say they would replace it at a cost of $18000. Said it wasnt covered under warranty. Had to have the car trucked across town to have it fixed since Nissan didnt know how to repair it. The car was driven into the Nissan repair shop but when they took the transmission oil pan off the car to check it the car was no longer able to be driven and I had to have it trucked to my home and then to the repair shop across town for the repair. The shop across town had the transmission repaired in under a week. The car drove better than when I first purchased it. Cost me over 5000 dollars for the repair for which Nissan didnt pay a dime. Nissan also charged me $1034.00 to check the transmission that they could not repair which rendered the car undrivable. Lesson learned - dont ever buy a Nissan. Never again in my lifetime. Big rip off. Nissan left parts out of the tranny that they knew would cause it to fail and then didnt want to foot the bill to repair it. Nissan sucks.

My wife and I have a 2011 Nissan Altima on lease. Mid-2012 my wife was sexually assaulted IN the car. Think about this. Do you want to drive the car that the love of your life has been raped in? NO! After numerous phone calls to NMAC, we received no assistance. We were even in contact with Nissan North America. They tried to help us out by offering us a car at factory price. The issue was the early termination cost of the car. NMAC refuses to help in any way (they even said as much to the guy at Nissan North America). I understand that NMAC had no legal obligation to assist us in any way, but I feel that they could have done something from a humanitarian standpoint. I never expected them to say, Oh sorry, here is a brand new car for free. What I expected was some relief from the early termination fee. I cannot wait for my lease to end as I will NEVER conduct business with Nissan or their affiliates ever again. I will strongly discourage others from doing so.

I purchased a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder in October of 2008, with about 20,000 miles from Stockton Nissan. About 3 years ago the VDC Off light came on. I took the car to Stockton Nissan to have the transmission flushed and asked them about the light (The car had less than 60,000 miles at the time). Was given an estimate of $1500 for the ABS Actuator Sensor/Pump and $600 to install for a whopping total of $2100.00. I declined because other than the Idiot lights the car runs good and the mechanical gauges all check out. Then the BRAKE light and ABS light. Then the check engine lights started coming on and off and the speedometer and odometer would go on and off with them. However, my car registration is due in December of this year so I need to smog it. I took it to a shop and they charged me $400 to replace the speed sensor on the right front tire. It smogged, but 400 dollars later I still have all of the Idiot Lights off and no speedometer or odometer. I have contacted the Nissan Consumer 800 number 3 different times. Nothing was done. This should be a RECALL since other Nissan owners are having the same issues. I guess since it is not a SAFETY ISSUE, Nissan can get away with ignoring this issue. This is my 4th Nissan AND WILL BE MY LAST NISSAN, unless this issue is addressed by Nissan. By the way, this is first review/complaint I have ever written.

We have called Nissan Consumer Affairs, they dont care. Some of their representatives tell us the parts are covered, others tell us they arent. One of their representatives told me he would accept that listed parts arent covered, pay for them, and move on. That is what I suggest every Nissan owner should do. Move on to another car maker. Until you can get rid of your Nissan be honest when people ask if you would buy another, tell them no. Tell people you are not happy with Nissan. So, I just came back from the military and I wanted to buy a brand new car from Nissan of Queens. I went to the dealer and inquire about buying the selected car that I wanted to purchase for cheap. I was disappointed with the customer service because I didnt get to get my military discount that should have been applied at the time of my purchase. I feel that if someone is in the military and being a woman, we shouldnt be taken for advantage due to the lack of experience or knowledge that entails in purchasing the vehicle. I am still continuing to fight this issue because it is ridiculous that I have to still pay off my car which the total I had to pay for my vehicle was almost 26,500. I still have to pay off my car and I do not think it is fair. The car dealer that sold me the car was only concerned about the commission that he is putting inside his pockets. I wish that I have never purchase my car from him, because he ripped me off. All I wanted to do was purchase my car and serve my country to help others and in return I was never helped. It is very sad to see that younger folks in the retail industry never discuss things of importance to someone like myself that went into the dealership to purchase a vehicle by myself.

I have been trying for six months to remove my ex-husbands name from the title of my car, on which I still owe a small sum of money. I have literally spoken to a dozen Nissan reps who have strung me along this entire time - with no solution in sight. They are clearly lying to me at every turn, and I get the strong impression that they are urged to lie when you call about this. I have heard everything from, Your paperwork fell through the cracks and well have this resolved within a week (that was in January), to You need to resubmit your notarized forms (that was in April) - never mind that I already sent it certified mail. I have even asked the motor vehicle commission in my state to call them. Even they cant get a straight answer. My lawyer warned me that they would give me the runaround, since they do not want to remove a second party from a title, in case I default on the loan.I have literally shed tears with some of these people - after trying for months to resolve this. I am battling Stage IV cancer and am begging them to remove his name from the title so that he doesnt end up with the car. Theyve promised to call me back immediately (hasnt happened), transfer me to a supervisor (hasnt happened), process my request immediately (hasnt happened). Im now entering my sixth month with no resolution. Ive told them repeatedly that I could be dead before they get their head out of their behinds and resolve this. While I love the two Nissans I own, I will never finance with them again, and I will let everyone know that they shouldnt either! We purchased a Nissan Titan in MD and then moved 3 months later to Nevada. I landed a job that needed me to have tags title and insurance through Nevada immediately, otherwise, I could not work for them. I had to contact Nissan for a temporary lien release to transfer my name and my mother-in-laws name to a Nevada title and have NMAC put right back on as the lien holder. All they had to do was fax it to me, giving DMV in LV, Nevada permission to transfer that information to a new title for this state so I could go back to work and survive. I now have missed 2 weeks because they have to have all these supposedly different departments approve it, but I am on the loan and my payments are made, and now, they send me a paper that will not do and say I have to wait another 2 weeks to a month. They have 2 more days to get it to me via fax (which is not hard to do), otherwise, I lose my job. If that happens, I will take them to court for loss of wages and anything else I am entitled too. This is ridiculous! They are more than willing to take your money and have you sign your life away, but when you need just a simple piece of paper stating what is yours or what youre paying for or Lord even to follow the law, you have to go through a mini war to get it. Also, do not try to contact anyone there on a daily basis because you will be harassed by certain representative at their answering center. It took me 11 calls in 1.5 hours to get in touch with the person helping me at her extension no less, and then, I was told that it was my fault that its taking so long and that I should have informed them sooner that I needed it when in fact, I informed them within 5 minutes of finding out what I needed. You can bet your bottom dollar that if it were them being faced with losing their job due to something I didnt do, they would be after me like a bat out of hell. Someone, please make this corporation do what they say when they say it and when we need it. I feel for anyone who finances through them. If your life is hassle free now, it will not be, after dealing with them in my opinion. For just a temporary lien release, giving a government company (DMV) permission to do their job and for me to follow the law, it takes 5 minutes. Thats all to fax. What is there issue? Oh, and I was told that this is a special request, something they do not do. Yeah okay.

Having scheduled the appointment online and being quoted approximately $89 (with their oil and oil filter), after calling and verifying that I could purchase my own oil and oil filter, I emailed the person who sent me a confirmation of my scheduled appointment asking that a note be made that I will purchasing my own oil and oil filter approximately 5 days prior to my scheduled appointment. I arrive for my scheduled appointment and check in with the representative at the service desk and inform him that the oil purchased and oil filter for this appointment are on the floor on the passenger side. He informs me that the price of the oil change will cost approximately $15 plus tax. I inform him that I am aware as I had previously called and that I would also like to have the old oil filter returned to me. His response was, Ok whatever you say. Although I did not inform him of why I wanted the old oil filter returned, the purpose in my doing so was to ensure that it was indeed replaced. I handed the representative my keys only for him to return approximately 10 minutes later informing me that he was just told that Lancaster Nissan does not perform oil changes unless the customer uses their oil and oil filter. This was puzzling as I previously called to inquire if it was possible and received a quote, and also upon checking in, the representative quoted me a price with me having brought in my own oil and oil filter as well. He indicated that the owner just informed him of this. I asked to speak with the owner whose business card reads General Manager, and he indicated that this is their policy. I asked the owner to see the policy in writing and he informed me that they do not have it in writing as they have never had this type of issue. I asked the owner how it was that I called to inquire of the practice, emailed a representative who sent me confirmation of my appointment, and was also quoted a price at check in upon informing the representative where the oil and oil filter was, that now, all of a sudden it is a policy that cannot be produced in writing. His response was that they have never had this issue arise which is very hard to believe, being that Lancaster Nissan Dealership/Services Center has been in Lancaster for many years. The purpose of this review is to make woman aware of this poor service provided by Lancaster Nissan Services Center, in Pennsylvania and the false representations of their alleged policy which the owner could not produce in person. Although I have a copy of the service agreement I was asked to sign to verify the services I requested which note that I purchase my own oil and oil filter, I am unable to attach it as I am not savvy with technology. However, I am willing to take a picture and email it or mail a copy if requested.

First and last Nissan that we will own. In short, the Nissan consumer affairs division exists to read a bulletin back to you regarding any warranty, claim, or recall regardless of the situation. If you have recurring issues with your vehicle, prepare to be disappointed and spend a lot of money. On a positive note, the local dealership has always maintained a friendly demeanor when explaining the astronomical repair bills.

I leased a car in July of 2006. I received a property tax bill to pay in January. I got a signed and notarized affidavit stating that this vehicle was used for personal use only and that I did not live in the county where the property tax was being applied. In addition, the county where I purchased the vehicle and also reside does not charge property taxes. The first year was fine. I received another bill the second year and I submitted the same paperwork. NMAC claimed they never received it and that I owed them for taxes. I did not pay for it. The following year, I received another bill. When I submitted the forms again, I was told they could not accept them because I had not paid the previous years taxes. I just recently tried to refinance my home and my credit report is damaged because of this. I have tried calling to clear this mess up and was told rudely that this will not go away until it is paid. I submitted everything the company told me to do exactly and yet, this is still on my credit report. They have been extremely rude and have even hung up on me. I will never lease a vehicle again and I will never deal with Nissan again.

Aug of 2012, I returned a used Nissan Altima that was running terribly to Planet Nissan located in Las Vegas, NV, after having purchased it under 1 year prior. The sales ** thought it would be best to do a trade, the Altima for the Maxima. During the transaction Planet Nissans employee (**) added the best warranty that Nissan sales to my contract. He was slick, he had me sign my original contract that had a smaller warranty but claimed there were errors and printed a second contract with the added hidden PLUS Warranty.Unknowing I signed the contract, but when I noticed, I made several complaints to Planet Nissan, Nissan Financial and Consumer Affairs. I was at a local 24 Hour Fitness jacuzzi venting to a stranger about the treatment I had been receiving. Turns out he was Planet Nissans General Manager. Who also refused to touch this matter. I had no luck resolving this matter therefore I decided to shut up about it. After all it is the best warranty a person could have right? No! Recently, my engine crashed in this 2012 Nissan Maxima at 56k miles. I immediately took the vehicle back to Planet Nissan and within a week I was told that the my Manufacturer Warranty and the Extended Plus Warranty would NOT cover the damaged engine. Why? They claimed there was sludge in the engine which Voids the Warranty Agreement immediately. I was asked by the Service Manager ** and the Sales Manager ** to provide proof of oil changed for 2014. I successfully retrieved the documentation from my credit card company to prove that I have kept up with the maintenance on the vehicle. Response: DENIED. This is the easiest Scam you can pull on a working woman like myself as my only fault here was purchasing a Nissan to begin with.I contacted consumer affairs, a representative called me to discuss this matter however, his entire conversation was No, No, No, we cannot help you. Leaving me without any options and refusing to accept my proof of maintenance on the vehicle. So, I asked him to please investigate this case and consider allowing me the opportunity to have a second opinion as I felt that Planet Nissan was jumping the gun here. Apparently they logged it in Nissans system prohibiting me from EVER having the engine fixed under either the manufacturer warranty or the extended plus warranty. The consumer affairs agent made it real clear to me that no matter where I go in America. The engine will Not Ever be covered, therefore there was nothing Nissan could do nor did he care to take a look at any evidence I had to support the previous maintenance on the vehicle. He made it real clear that he was supportive of Planet Nissans decision without any proof therefore, I was on my own. I took the vehicle to United Nissan in Las Vegas for a second opinion as the Check Engine light is generating these codes: CYL 4 Misfire, CYL 6 Misfire, TW Catalyst System B1, and TW Catalyst System B2. Within 24 hours I received a call back from the service agent ** who explained that the claim was DENIED. He explained that although the technician saw no sludge in the engine that Planet Nissan had reported such and therefore the claim was DENIED. I explained that I needed a second opinion as my car received maintenance regularly and I had proof. He explained that he could not help me and asked me to return the rental car as soon as possible.A day after returning the rental car I realized that I had left my duffel bag full of personal belongings in the trunk and a handicap placard in the rental car provided to me while the Maxima was in Service. Immediately I contacted United Nissan and was told to come and pick up my belongings that they had retrieved it from the rental vehicle. Today March 19, 2015 I went to United Nissan to retrieve my belongings, it was explained to me by ** that it will cost me a total of 12K to replace the engine in the Maxima, My handicapped placard was stolen and my duffel bag of belongings was ramshacked. Im so disappointed in my treatment at Nissan, overall Im disgusted. I dont even expect a resolution from here. Im stuck with a 2012 Nissan Maxima with a bad engine and a $700 car payment. This is pitiful.

I have owned a significant number of Nissan vehicles - 2 Maximas, 2 Pathfinders, 2 Infinitis - and after my recent experience, I will never purchase again. I have a 2017 Maxima in which I knew had a mechanical issue. At the time I made the appointment with local dealership to inspect, mileage was under 60,000 miles. After waiting 10 days for appointment, their assessment was that I need a new front left bearing hub - the challenge, after waiting for the appointment, the mileage was now 60,265 miles and the warranty ends at 60,000. Their suggestion was to discuss with Nissan Consumer Affairs. Nissan position after more than a week of conversations - We dont care that you are a life long customer and that we will lose your future business. We refuse to help you because you are 0.4% out of warranty, even though you had to wait 10 days for your appointment with one of our dealers. So charged close to $200 for the assessment on a part that should be covered under warranty and dealership looking for additional $300 for a repair in which I can purchase an official Nissan part online for $60. No help. No consideration. No further purchases from me on a brand that shows no appreciation for their customers.

I have never been so disappointed with a vehicle( 2016 Altima). It just hit 2 years old and I have several rust spots. Service manager slipped up and said it was my fault and there were 3 other Nissan vehicles on the lot with same problem. Nissan DOES NOT back up their product. Even Consumer Affairs through Nissan was a joke. They investigated my complaint without ever seeing the rust or talking to me. Does not hold value either. At this point Im going to get the rust fixed and trade this car in, knowing Im going to take a big hit. Worth it to me. DO NOT buy a Nissan. You will be extremely disappointed as I am.

He said the car had around 100,000 miles. That was where my husband and I failed. Not expecting liars for salesman. Older bald man, I don’t know his name. He will lie and tell anything, use pressure tactics won’t even try to find what youre really looking for. After the papers were signed he said oh we can’t do that. We went back the next morning to take the car back and to talk to the Mgr he said forget yesterday, I didn’t want to forget the day before cause I lost money. He said pick something else. I had to get something else and got less trade in and lost more money. The Mgr stuck with his salesman’s lies. I’m very hurt financially I traded a Toyota that was worth more by far. I’m very hurt and angry that this is their policy for selling cars.

Well the issue has been fixed. It cost me $3000 for the co-pay which Nissan thought was a great deal because my vehicle had over 100,000 miles. The rest was covered by Nissan under what they call good will. Not really happy with the deal but have to take what you can get I guess. The sad part is this whole problem could have been avoided if Nissan would have done the right thing and issued a recall considering they knew about it the whole time. Bad customer service!

I have received poor customer service on a vehicle that has been nothing but trouble since the day I drove it off the lot. I have reached out to your department, the dealership, the warranty company (Security plus Extended Warranty) and gotten no resolution. I purchased the car in 2011 excited to have my second Nissan, my first was a Sentra back in 1988, this vehicle also had transmission issues but Nissan took care of it. I purchased the Murano along with a three thousand dollar extended gold plus warranty. I had to return the vehicle the next day because of a cracked windshield that was noticed upon my drive home. After a few days the windshield was fixed. Then the vehicle maintenance issues began. In review of my records I note that my car has spent at least 30 days in the shop getting fixed. I have missed a total of 40 hours of work on the phone with the warranty company, the dealership, consumer affairs and driving back and forth to the dealership. (dealership is in Costa Mesa and I work in Chino Hills and live in Brea) not to mention the gas I spent going back and forth and the pure stress of having to fix my car over and over again never feeling secure to drive it other than to work and back.I have attached a copy of proof that 3 different transmissions were put into this car and that multiple major items have had to be replaced, most recently the radiator which happened at night and I was not near a dealership and had to pay 900.00 dollars out of pocket to get fixed. I am still waiting for the warranty company to get back to me on this but from my previous experience I am not hopeful. The biggest disappointment came when my car had spent over 2 weeks in the repair shop having the entire engine rebuilt, transmission issues etc. and only after a couple weeks the vehicle began to have new issues, I took the vehicle to the dealership and they said it was the catalytic converter. I called the warranty company and was told by two representatives that this was a covered item. The dealership reported that it was not covered, which made no sense. I then contacted the warranty company again and they had a specialist review the issue. I was informed the catalytic converter was covered if it was welded on the vehicle but not if it was bolted and mine was bolted. This is absurd. How the company chooses to make it should not be the customers issue. This is a Nissan issue. Not to mention knowing that the vehicle had previously had so many serious problems how could they not correct this? That is just poor customer care! I filed a complaint with your consumer affairs department because I no longer wanted the vehicle and it was clear that the vehicle is a lemon and I could not afford to fix the catalytic converter. I had already paid too much for the car to begin with. I was informed that it did not qualify for the lemon law and there was nothing they would do. They mentioned something about it needing to have had more than one transmission replacement. I couldnt believe it. It was obvious Nissan did not care about their customers or their reputation and that they did not do their research because it had had more than one transmission issue.I used Yelp, Facebook and Twitter to express my justified dissatisfaction and was contacted by the Dealership but still nothing was done to correct the issue. The cooperate offices were aware of these issues and my dissatisfaction and still no one did anything to correct the problem. I am left with a broken vehicle which I cannot get rid of because I am paying for an extended warranty that will not help me. I am upside down, paying almost 500 dollars a month on a car I am afraid to drive. This is no longer a vehicle problem but an actual safety concern.A few weeks after the catalytic converter issue I was driving down a main hwy and the car stopped, the radiator was shot and the car was overheating, no warning at all. I was able to get help and pull it into a repair shop. The vehicle was fixed for 900.00 dollars, money I did not have. I was left with no car, stranded at night and for the next two days. Now just a month later the car is making another strange noise and I have issues with the steering. (the steering being something that was a problem before) I return again to the Costa Mesa Dealership where the maintenance supervisor sits with me and reviews my entire record. I explain my frustrations and he agrees to look at the car. I am waiting now to find out what is wrong but at this point I cannot pay to have it fixed and I do not want the vehicle. I should not have to roll the upside down amount into another car and I should not have to pay for the radiator or the extended warranty that did not cover everything as I was told at the time that it would. The exact words of the dealership were if you get this warranty it WILL COVER EVERYTHING but for regular items such as brakes, tires, oil changes. Apparently that is not true.I take my car in every 3,000 miles an oil change, I even use upgraded oil. I have tires rotated, I keep it clean and I drive it with care but it doesnt matter the car just doesnt run properly. Please review the service receipts and tell me how this issue can be resolved? I do not want this car any longer and I do not feel safe driving it. I want to be reimbursed for the warranty and the radiator, and I want the vehicle gone. I will be happy to purchase another vehicle from a NISSAN dealership but I do not want to be penalized for the issues with this car. In other words I still owe 11,000 (3,000 is the warranty) and the car is not worth that, this is not my fault and I should not be penalized for it.The bigger issue is that Nissan is showing that they do not care about their customers safety or the quality of their vehicles. When will Nissan correct this issue? When the car stops on the freeway because of another problem and I killed in an accident? I cant imagine that a company is that greedy and has that type of customer relations. Although it appears at this point that is accurate. I am hoping that this issue can be resolved and that I can once again take to the road in a safe vehicle. Thank you.

I experienced lie upon lie when I purchased my 2020 Nissan Altima at Thruway Nissan in Newburgh NY. Now, a year later, I’ve noticed my FM reception is on occasions full of static. Initially, upon a service appointment, I was advised all was fixed with a computer update. Not so! The problem continues as my car made a repeat trip to the dealer only to be told that there is no problem with the antenna or connections. They refuse to replace the radio even though it’s under warranty with less than 10k miles! Buyer beware! Buy elsewhere.

This is the first time I have purchased a Nissan. I am pretty sure I will never again. I have been to the shop numerous times for things that should not be happening in the first year. The underneath trim which is supposedly useless has fallen off twice. My brakes squeaks (which I dont understand why) never had another car that did unless brakes pads need to be changed. Oh and that has already have been done. The wheel well had to be replaced twice as well.Along with all the starter issues. Seems to me that pieces of a brand new car that has been repaired twice on two separate pieces should not be falling off. And for Nissan not to care that I have been to the dealership as often as I have. I think I have been there way too often for my liking. Very disappointed in the things happening to this car and Nissan reaction to my concerns is so concerns of theirs. When I first purchased the car another customer by the car talked so highly about Nissan in general so I was excited to have a good quality car and that is far from what I have had since purchasing.

Bought the used 2012 Nissan Sentra S in July and after starting to drive it
Bought the used 2012 Nissan Sentra S in July and after starting to drive it, kept hearing a popping and clunking noise coming from the passenger side rear area. Pops and snaps when turning the wheel right and braking and straightening the steering. I have spoken with other owners of the Nissan Sentra and they have the same issues. Some customers have spent lots of money trying to resolve the issue but I think Nissan needs to step up and take the responsibility for a faulty design. Other Nissans owners are having the same issues. Scary to drive and seems difficult to diagnose, but may be coming from the steering or wheel area. Please help us to keep the reviews positive for Nissan here in Smyrna but at this point it is not a pleasant experience.

I bought a 2014 Pathfinder in January of 2017. It was just out of warranty
I bought a 2014 Pathfinder in January of 2017. It was just out of warranty by mileage and the ABS computer went bad. The Nissan Dealership here locally was very nice and helpful and had never seen this issue before. It is unsafe and unreliable because the speedometer, gas gauge, and the 4-wheel drive do not work when experiencing this issue (I live in a snowy area so I do need the 4 wheel drive to turn on when those conditions are present). I would also say that 36k miles and one prior owner with a clean CarFax Report is a bit early for the ABS computer to fail and so I do believe this is a manufacturing issue with the unit failing prematurely.I completely understand that once the car is out of warranty, Nissan does not have to do anything to help out. However, given the nature of the issue and how recently the car was out of warranty (and only by mileage), I would have thought they would be able to help out in some way. For instance, taking care of the labor or even just giving the dealership a direct purchase cost on the part without a markup. The part is $1400 and the labor is $600. I would have been happy with a minor discount on the repair. However, as other reviewers have commented, the consumer affairs department of Nissan exists to read you the warranty terms. This is my first Nissan, which I bought because of the name and associated reliability, but I will never buy another Nissan after this experience.

Nissan have been accused of disgraceful customer service after leaving the owner of a brand new Nissan stranded for three days 200 miles from his home town in the UK. Anthony ** car broke down with transmission failure only one week after purchasing the 50 thousand dollar top of the range Rogue from a Nissan dealership in the UK. ** and his friend were on route from Redcar to Skegness for a golfing holiday and were almost there when they suddenly lost drive from Nissans brand new CVT automatic gearbox on the Nissan Rogue which is called Qashqai in the UK. Mr **, who has previously bought two other brand new Nissans said, I should never have taken this car out of the showroom in the first place. When I went to pick it up, they made me pay for the vehicle before going out to look at it. I was filling in a questionnaire about the excellent condition of the car and the service they were providing when my son said; you had better come and have a look at the car before you answer that question because it has some scratches on it. I examined the car and it was in a right state. I had to ask the garage to wash the car again as it wasnt clean. We found a scratch on one door; scuff marks on the back bumper and two pieces of trim inside the car not fitted properly. I told the salesman I was thinking about walking away from the car but he promised me everything would be sorted. During the following week, Bristol Street Motors failed on two occasions to repair the trim properly. ** went on to explain how he became stranded; I have roadside assistance from Nissan. They are under contract to give you a car to help you on your way in these situations. I arranged for my vehicle to be recovered to a Nissan dealership. The dealership told me they didnt have a courtesy car to give me. They asked me if I could leave the car with them but I couldnt without getting a courtesy car, as mine was full of golfing equipment and luggage. In the end I had to ask the driver of the tow truck if he would take the car and me to the hotel in Skegness where we were stranded for three days. We couldnt go anywhere, as the car couldnt be driven. We were just stuck at the hotel waiting for Nissan to sort out this mess. When they did offer me a car three days later from a Nissan dealership in Boston (Lincolnshire), they said would a Micra do and how was I fixed for getting to Boston myself (25 miles away) to pick it up!!! I eventually persuaded them to give me a Qashqai (Rogue). When it turned up it looked as though it had been off roading. It was filthy and to top it off, was almost empty of fuel. Car of the year 2014? Exceptional service from 3 Nissan dealers and Nissan Customer Care? You decide for yourself! **, who rejected the vehicle, was initially refused neither his money back, nor a replacement vehicle. After 3 months of difficult and protracted negotiation, Nissan finally agreed to refund the money he paid for the vehicle but has lost out due to insurance and other costs.

A brand new Nissan Rogue 2015, purchased two months ago, only being driven 1200 miles, suddenly broke down on the road. The power got shut down and unable to restart the car. My husband waited outside hoping someone would stop and help us jump start our car. Waited long time. Finally got help and successful recharge the car. After we drove 10 mins it broke down again. We had to ask someone to jump start our car again and pulled it off the street. The car shutdown itself after 5 mins.We called Nissan road service and they said they will come within a hour but we waited 5 hours for them. We were so anger because we cant leave the car there, its blocking someone elses car. 5 hours we waited, whole day was ruined. They kept lying to us saying they would come soon. We paid $1600 more on Nissan car dealership for the additional car service. I am still so angry. We couldnt go to work. So regret that we chose Nissan. I purchased my Night Armor colored Frontier new in 2011. It wasnt until after my paint began to flake off the front fender wells, that I researched online and found this to be a long standing problem with Nissan Frontiers. I expected the paint to fade and lose its luster over time but to have the paint just completely flake off is something I wasnt prepared for. The exterior of my truck was detailed on a regular basis that consisted of washing, clay bar, sealant and waxing and yet my paint is flaking off, along with rust in the water channels on the roof. This without a doubt is a manufacturers defect in the paint process or the paint itself that Nissan refuses to acknowledge. Toyota has a similar issue on some of their vehicles but they have gone as far as extending the paint warranty to 14 yrs for all of its customers, kudos Toyota. There is no indication that the problem has been resolved on the 2022 Frontier model... BUYER BEWARE. This is a clear indication why they are losing market share... Nissan has lost me as a repeat customer!!!

In November 2007 we bought our 1st and last Nissan. Against my better judge
In November 2007 we bought our 1st and last Nissan. Against my better judgement, I relented and agreed to buy my wife her Nissan SUV. My reluctance was based on the cvt, which in my opinion was unproven technology. My fears were not unfounded. After 75000 miles of fair service the cvt issues began to manifest themselves in the form of a load clicking when cold. This load clicking is only under load or when car is in motion, also while cold there is a metallic screech or scraping noise on acceleration, and lastly a shuttering on acceleration from a stop as if hunting for the right gear to start out in.Wife took car to Mcgrath Nissan of Elgin Il for routine oil change as she always did, and asked to check for the noise, she was told “We can hear no noise but there is rust on your brake rotors and the rear pads are very low 1-2 mm. Do a brake job and see if your noise goes away. So I think for argument’s sake let’s do a brake job and eliminate their rederick. I performed a 4 wheel brake job pads, rotors, and hardware. Upon removal of said parts rear pads were actually closer to 5mm and fronts 10-11mm. But ok I bought the parts, let’s put them on. Guess what? Same noises and symptoms. Back to Mcgrath. Now we’re told $120.00 to diagnose problem. But that would go away if they found it to be cvt problem. I was confident they would find the problems to be the cvt and agreed. After letting car sit out and cooling down tech took for a test drive, and heard the clicking, and screech, but not the shuddering. It was his diagnosis the clicking is in the upper engine. Now how can this be if it only happens while transmission is engaged? We can pull the valve cover off and inspect the engine for $350.00. There may be varnish or sludge build up. The oil changes always performed on time, at your facility with your recommended oils how would this be possible? Well stuff happens Im told. How is it the noise only occurs while transmission is engaged? No answer. What about the screech? The tech said it is slight or faint and not bad enough for Nissan to warranty the problem. What good is a 120,000 mile cvt warranty if Nissan won’t honor it and repair a problem? In all fairness to Mcgrath Nissan they did waive the $120.00 charge for the inspection, when confronted with my disappointment in their product. And I do understand they dont want to get stuck with a repair that Nissan won’t reimburse them for. But at 76000 miles on a car to have a failure of the cvt that has been problems from day 1 for hundreds if not thousands of rogue owners, they obviously know there is an inherent problem with the first generation Rogue cvt’s as they redesigned them in subsequent years, and replace the catastrophic failures with the new design. There is no one in the world that can convince me that the Japanese manufacturers build quality is superior as I have had a similar experience with Toyota as well. MY advice is buy American, my friends.

The clear coat is coming off the roof of the vehicle and the hood. I have paid for the truck to be waxed, clayed, and restored over the years trying not to pay for the whole truck to be repainted. Although, I have taken many steps to preserve and protect the paint, it’s not! Note that there was another issue with the extras that come with the LE model, heated seats. The driver’s seat almost caught fire and the dealer made me pay for the replacement stating it was my responsibility. I was the one that wanted them. I don’t think I fully understand how Nissan won’t take responsibility for a defective product that could have caused harm or destroyed the vehicle entirely. It is a standard upgrade that comes in the LE model and it is not a customer requested extra! I am writing this just to spread the word about Nissan faulty paint and unaccountable customer care. Although, fixing the paint would be the right thing to do!

Two weeks prior to my lease maturity date, I called Nissan to set up my end-of-lease inspection. After 4 phone calls, I was told they use a third party to inspect the vehicles (easy way to avoid blame). Upon calling the third party to set up the inspection, I was told they could not have a representative in my area (suburban Phoenix) for 17 days, which was 3 days after my lease was up. I continued to call Nissan and was assured I would suffer no penalty payments and there was a 10-day grace period. I turned in my car the day my inspection was completed and it was in great shape aside from one dent the size of a nickel.10 weeks later, I received a bill in the mail for $1,200. $400 in damage from a dent in the front, which I agreed to pay, and also the $395 disposition fee, which I agreed to pay. However, I was also charged $398 for an additional months lease payment and $20 in penalty fees. When I called the Nissan Finance representative, they told me the dealership did not report my car being turned in for another 21 days after I had dropped it off. I strongly suggest not doing any business with this company or any of their affiliates, unless you enjoy scams and lies.

Some of you may know, but most of you may not, that I purchased a Nissan Altima October of last year. Ive always driven Hondas, but thought Id give something else a try. NEVER AGAIN. Firstly, I purchased from Hoffman Nissan and perhaps that was my first big mistake. The finance department gave me financing and three weeks later I found out I did not qualify for the financing they set me up with. Secondly, I purchased the car contingent upon a rattle in the roof being fixed. The roof still rattles, and Nissan told me that it just is that way. Most recently, three weeks ago, Joe was driving the car home from the gym getting on an on ramp to Route 8 at 25 - 35 miles an hour when the hood flew up and into the windshield, which, thank God did not cause an accident. This caused major damage to both fenders. I first brought the car back to Hoffman Nissan, as there was an active recall for this very thing, but for which my VIN did not qualify. Hoffman told me that it looked like someone left a screwdriver in the hood, and that it was bent. Couldnt it have been bent from FLYING UP ON WHILE IN MOTION?? They then handed me a $2,200 quote to fix it and told me to go through insurance. Long story short, after 2 weeks of conversation with Nissan corporate, they told me today that they will not fix my car and if I wish to have it fixed it will need to go through insurance or out of pocket. I am appalled that Nissan does not want to stand by their manufacturing and fix this issue. Im disgusted with their business practices, and can safely say my experience with both Nissan and Hoffman Nissan in Avon, CT, have been the worst business experiences Ive endured, especially with so much money at stake.

There are 76,000 miles on my Nissan Xterra. While attempting to pull out onto a roadway my vehicle lost power and would not accelerate to a normal speed. So thankful I was not in heavy traffic. After having two different local repair shops assess the vehicle, I found that Nissan used faulty radiators on certain year models that allowed fluid to leak into the transmission and destroy it. I contacted Nissan and ConsumerAffairs didnt think I had wasted enough of my time and money and told me to take it to a certified Nissan shop for a diagnosis before they would even consider helping... so I did. After waiting another week or two, they finally called me back to say they could not help because the vehicle was out of warranty. I pointed out that my vehicle only has 76,000 miles and the transmission issue was caused by an issue Nissan was well aware of (but had not recalled the vehicles to fix the issue). That didnt seem to matter. THE VERY LEAST THAT NISSAN SHOULD DO IS OFFER A DISCOUNTED PRICE ON A NEW TRANSMISSION. I will NEVER buy another Nissan.

The rep was very nice and very reassuring telling me it usually takes 2 weeks to process and that the title can take approximately 45 days. True to her word, the payment was posted during the second week. The pleasant surprise was that I received the title the following week.

Nissan Sentra 2014! I had this car for 2 months now and I was driving to the pharmacy when my sunroof explodes out of nowhere. I went to Nissan and they told me this was not under the warranty, that it is impossible for it just to explode so they told me to repair this. It would be $720 dollars. This is very upsetting. Nothing hit my glass and no one has even touched it. I looked this problem up and many other have the same issue. Please save yourself the problem. Do not buy Nissan or Infinity. Purchased a Nissan Sentra new in 2011. The CVT Transmission has went out at 79000 miles. Nissan extended the warranty on these same transmissions through 2010. Because they were having major issues. Called Nissan and they informed me today that they would not help with the repair of the transmission because so far no one has had issues other than myself. So now I will have to spend $3800.00 to be repaired. But there is an issue concerning the CVT Transmission that has not been fixed for several years. If I had done my homework I would have not purchased any car with this transmission. Read the reviews please dont get stuck like I have.

I will never buy a Nissan again! I own a Nissan Rogue and my car stopped working while I was on the freeway while my daughters were in the car. I found out it was my transmission (CVT) but Nissan refused to replace it since I was 1,700 miles outside of the warranty. There was no indication there was even an issue or that I should take my car in; which would have saved me thousands of dollars, prevented being without a car for over a week, and putting me and my family in grave danger. It is extremely upsetting and disheartening that Nissan cares so little for their loyal customers.

My 2010 370Z started making a clunk sound from the rear of the vehicle. Dealer worked on it for nearly 3 weeks and eventually told me that the noise is just a characteristic of the vehicle. I asked other 2010 370Z owners if they had the same noise and every response was no. This noise is not normal. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs and they reviewed my case and eventually told me that there is nothing they can do other than extend a portion of the warranty. What good is the warranty if they refuse to fix the problem?

The follow-up review is that I notified Nissan company about this problem and in turn they reimbursed me the amount of the new tires that I bought. I informed them that they needed to drop the continental Tires from their new cars because of the safety issues concerning them. Because of this decision from Nissan to reimburse me for my new tires I was continue to be a loyal Nissan customer although will never buy another car with a Continental tire on it.

My folder is 2 inches thick listing the repairs they supposedly did on my vehicle including a new transmission. I do not feel safe. I dont know what to do. I picked it up Friday, January 2 after dropping it off to them on December 2nd and today it started doing it again on my way to work. Someone please help me. I am a single mother and dont want to hit ice or snow when my car does this because I lose all control of my vehicle and would be involved in an accident. Nissan extended their CVT transmission warranty from 60,000 miles to 120,000 miles on the Nissan Versa because they knew about the transmission failures. My Nissan Versa transmission died at 132,000 and Nissan said they wouldnt do anything about it. When they thought I was going to hire a lawyer they seemed very responsive. I didnt hire a lawyer unfortunately and Nissan didnt provide any support for the problem. I had to pay over $4,000 to put in a refurbished transmission. The cruise control and the tire light stopped working a long time ago also. They should have covered at least some of the cost of the transmission because they knew about the failures. My previous car which was a Nissan Quest didnt have any transmission problems so I expected similar results and was disappointed with the Versa.

I have been reading the problems with the Nissans... WOW... When I bought mine it had 46,000 on it, that was 18 months ago. I dropped my car Nissan Altima 2012 off Monday and since they didnt have it done by Tuesday they offered me a rental for free. It is Wednesday and I just picked up my car. I have had problems with this car from the get go... I am now on transmission #3 in 18 months. They have never charged me a penny and our dealership out here is amazing! I have called Nissan North America yesterday and they said they would call me today by 5:00. I had leukemia and had a bone marrow transplant, the hospital I see my doctor at is 120 miles away. With the first transmission I would be doing approx 75 mph in the fast lane and all of a sudden nothing. It completely shut down. I have been nearly (could have been fatal) car crashes 3 times. You know how hard it is going from the fast lane to the slow lane with no power. Anyway, I feel terrible for you all paying so much money out. I have been lucky, on my first transmission I was 300 miles from the warranty expiring. I wish you all the best. I am afraid to drive my car now. Fingers crossed for Nissan North America.

Altima 2009 was returned, inspection (wear and tear) - no charges. 5 1/2 months later, a letter from NMAC says they found engine sludge and they are charging me of improper maintenance. I did the proper maintenance. The cars engine light was not on, no sluggish acceleration, and no smoke when lease was returned. Now, NMAC is charging me for a new engine if I did not produce evidence of oil changes. I no longer have records of a lease returned 5 1/2 months ago. I called many times and explained their answer for me to find the records. Second letter, 3 months later, and now its over 8 months since the lease was returned. New engine charge is $3,737.06. Nissan needs to do more in-depth inspections, not just the wear and tear. It is illegal, unfair, and unreasonable to charge $3,737 for a new engine 8 months after a lease has been returned. Nissan needs to inform the consumer of any costly repair so that proper economic decisions can be made by the consumer before a lease return. I am at NMAC’s mercy now. They can charge anything they want and spoil my credit. I am held hostage by NMAC.

I recently discovered that my 2015 Nissan Altima payment is somehow behind
I recently discovered that my 2015 Nissan Altima payment is somehow behind on payments starting in March of 2016. The reason this is a problem is I was never notified that I was behind and have been paying my monthly payments on time only to find out that it has not been on time in 5 months. This is also surprising due to the facts that I tried to make a double payment at one time only to receive a recorded phone call from a Nissan rep stating that they see that I was trying to stay ahead and pay on time but you cannot pay a month in advance. That a payment must be made every thirty (30) days at which time I should have been notified that I was a month behind which was definitely not the case. I also never received a phone call nor a letter in the mail stating any indication that I was behind on payments. We are now in August of 2016 and I am now have 5 months of late payments on my record that will no doubt kill my credit score. I recently set up a direct deposit at Pyramid Federal Credit Union to have the payments pulled straight from my account. So I have been back and forth with customer service which is more like we dont care about you at all service as the rep admitted that you dont have to be smart to do customer service which is funny because that is exactly what he is and definitely was not talented nor good at his job.Anyway after writing several letters and tons of phone calls where they hang up on you I have got nowhere. They have not even asked one time if they could look into the matter and get back, let me see what I can do, nothing. I simply want to know why I was never notified, a letter sent, an email or a phone call and now that I am aware that I am getting burned every month I have pleaded with them for some kind of reconciliation. I have offered to make multiple payments in a row along with the direct deposit payment along with the payment history that shows every payment on time. But in the end I guess it really does not matter to them as I am nobody of importance and apparently they dont make mistakes despite the hundreds of bad reviews. My next step is the BBB and on and on as this is unbelievable and can imagine I am not the first this has happen to and definitely not the last. Keep up the good work Nissan!!!

I will never again own a Nissan, especially if they continue putting CVT transmissions in them. I wont recommend a Nissan to anyone as well. If you are lucky, transmission may get you 100,000 miles. My first one went out at 89,000 and now, my second one is out. My first one was covered under the warranty, but the second was only good for 30 days on labor and 12 months for parts at a Nissan dealership. Both not even getting 100,000. Buyer beware! If you have purchased a vehicle through Nissan please review
Buyer beware! If you have purchased a vehicle through Nissan please review your paperwork/contract. Several dealerships have been adjusting the cost of the vehicles with dealer add-ons and making it seem as though these are items you have to sign off on and not options that can be declined. These include (VIN Etch, Paint Protection, Fabric Protection. Portfolio Protection Package, GAP Insurance) and can add thousands (mine was over $5,000.00) to the overall cost to the vehicle and if you are financing you will pay interest on all these add-ons as well. This is an unfair and deceptive trade practice and has fallen under scrutiny of the State Attorney Generals Office as well as the Federal Trade Commission. If this has happened to you please report the dealership to both your States Attorney General and the FTC.You can also file a record of complaint to the DMV as I am having to do because of the above listed as well as now finding out that the salesperson committed fraud by falsifying the loan application. Currently Nissan Corporate is not taking any accountability for the dealerships unscrupulous practices and so by filing a complaint, the more people that do will show that there needs to be repercussions and Nissan Corporate needs to be held responsible as well. We the consumers have the power to say NO MORE! Please be cautious and do research online before your next vehicle purchase and if you are a Nissan owner, take a look at your documents to make sure you werent duped. After looking, you may just find out you were. :(

I had it checked out and it was the transmission. I verified with the Nissan dealer and they confirmed it was the transmission. When calling to make the appointment and telling the problem that was experienced the service guy expected it to be the transmission. Seems that it is a common problem with the 2013 model. I leased a 2013 Nissan Leaf two years ago from Peoria Nissan in Arizona. At the time, the salesman told me not to worry about the battery because Nissan just replaces them if there is any problem. That is totally a lie, and Peoria Nissan will not be of any assistance to me with my Nissan Leaf that has a range now of 59 miles (maybe) in the winter with no heater on. Dont ask about how it fares in the summer - it is ugly to say the least. I now have one more year to suffer through this vehicle because Nissan says the battery charges up to 10 bars and must decline to 8 bars.We know that this does not take into account battery fade - in other words - yes, it looks good when it is first charged, but like all failing batteries, the range quickly decreases as soon as you pull out of your driveway. My lesson in all of this is that Peoria Nissan lies to its customers - yes I know I should not be surprised, and that the manufacturer is choosing to make folks keep a car that simply does not meet the needs stated by the buyer when purchasing the car. I expected somewhere in the range of 70 miles which would allow me to drive back and forth to my work site daily and make a couple side trips as well. This was all explained to the salesman when I leased the car. He is no longer with the dealership. So, I asked if the dealer would work with me on terminating my lease and getting a 2016 Leaf that supposedly had a better battery. Unlike the salesmans reassurances that it was no big deal to end the lease after 24 months, the dealer asked for the entire amount of the last 12 payments and the car. The explanation was that Nissan had changed its lease terms and that the residual value stated in my contract was no longer really valid. The upshot was that for over 900 dollars per month, I could get out of my current lease, turn in my car and get a comparable 2016 Nissan Leaf. Ha Ha Ha. I am laughing only because I am happy to share this saga with anyone who might be foolish enough to trust Nissan and buy or lease one of their vehicles. My advice - just because their contracts are preprinted - insist on adding terms that the salesman tells you in writing and have them initial them. You will then perhaps find out what the real deal is. Thanks for listening.

2011 Nissan Versa Needs New Engine - Check engine light was blinking, engine started to run rough so I had it towed to a reputable mechanic in town. I was told the #3 cylinder had very low compression and needed a new engine. With only 77k miles how could this be? Called Nissan and told me to take it to a Nissan Authorized Dealer for diagnostics, so Consumer Affairs will review, which I had to tow it there and pay another diagnostic, only to have Consumers Affair deny any assistance for a new engine, because it was outside the perimeter of being out of warranty, pre-owned and I wasnt a loyal Nissan customer for maintenance (I just got the car over the summer). My daughter previously owned the Versa and loyally took it to a Nissan Dealership where she bought it. There have been several complaints of low compression issues not only for Versa but other Nissan models. Although Im sure they are aware, they will do nothing about it.So Im stuck with having to pay for a new engine or dump the car! My son went from excited to drive a newer car to disappointed. It is no longer operable. Had I not paid off the car when I purchase it from my daughter ($5100 left to pay) for my son, she would have had to make payments to the bank for an inoperable car. I was so adamant about my son (new teen driver) having a newer, safe car, certainly wasnt expecting a Nissan vehicle to need a new engine with only 77k miles. Thought Nissan are supposed to run much longer. Very dissatisfied with how Nissan wont back their product.

I recently purchased a 2011 Nissan Rogue, on August 26th at Concordville Nissan in Pennsylvania. At first, it seemed as though I purchased a very good vehicle. It was a certified car, the mileage was reasonable, it had only one owner and it looked great. This praise quickly turned into a nightmare. During the test drive the passenger side windshield was covered by the cars feature list and certified sticker, covering the small crack I noticed the next day. I called Concordville and informed my salesman (Pat) about the crack and he told me to bring it in to be fixed. I wasnt able to do that then because I was going away to New York and then to Baltimore. On both of my trips I noticed the front wheels were swaying slightly, gliding to the left or to the right. On my return, I immediately contacted the service department (Sept. 11) about this new concern. After the car was inspected (Sept. 14), the Service Advisor (Darren **) informed me that there is a crack in the right side axle. WOW! I tried to shun the idea of what could have happen if the axle would have broken with my family and me driving that car while on vacation. Even though, the problem was fixed the same day, I am now worried about what new problem will arise. I no longer enjoy driving this car in fear of what other unknown defect will surface. On the same day the car was being repaired, I spoke with the Sales Manager (Ryan **) about my issues, explaining the entire situation. He seemed concerned about my frustration and even said he would confer with the Service Manager (Mark) about getting me into a different car. After, I asked if that was an option. No promise was guaranteed. As I returned to pick up the Rogue I requested to speak with Ryan **, he was unavailable, but Ryan ** was. So, I explained to situation again and again talking about getting a different car. He said he would look into it. This was around 3:30 pm. After waiting around for about two hours a salesman name Mark approached me and asked if I was being helped. I told him I was waiting on Ryan **. Mark went to the counter where Ryan ** was, talked to him a little and came back over and said who is helping you again? Then Pat, the salesman who sold me the car came over and asked me was my car still being repaired? No, I replied. Now getting angry because, not only was I forgotten about, no one seemed to know what Im talking about. I explained my situation once again. After 3 hours I was finally called over to the counter where now both Ryans are. Theyre telling me that: (1.) the axle wasnt cracked. The problem was with the ball bearings, but I have an invoice explaining the issue was the right front drive shaft. (2.) I can get into another certified car, a 2012 Morano that is going to cost me $645 a month with a $4000 down payment. I left the dealership very confused and upset. I just want to express how disappointed and frustrated I am with this whole process, from the issues with the car to the poor customer service. Now I see why they wouldnt show me any other car. I will never purchase another nor, will I recommend any of my family, friends or co-workers to purchase a Nissan Certified Car. I am also filing a consumer complaint with the Attorney General office in my state.

I had a beautiful WORKING 2011 Nissan Sentra. But after being flooded by a hurricane I ended up getting a 2013 Nissan Sentra. The car was great until 12k. It started to have all kinds of issues and after a long back and forth, I sold the car back to Nissan. (But here is the kicker, even though the brakes were faulty on it and would wear out too fast (I was not riding them), Nissan still refused to refund me. So I had to take a huge loss and look for a new car with already negative equity). The dealership I bought my 2013 Sentra with was willing to work with me and got me into a 2014 Nissan Altima. (Of course with payments being high and this was the only deal I could get.)A month of owning the car, I get a call from Nissan saying I did not make a payment for my 2013 Sentra and the car is in jeopardy of being repo. I told the guy that I sold the car and asked why that information was not in the computer. Thinking it was an honest mistake, I called the Nissan Dealership where I bought the Altima and they said, Oh yeah we sent that in, you should be fine. 2 months of owning the Altima I get another call asking about payments on the Sentra. Then 2 days after that, I get a letter stating that I was not approved for the loan on the Altima and needed to return it. I was confused because I had already made 2 payments towards the loan on the Altima. I called corporate Nissan and asked what was going on. They stated that when I applied for the loan, I was approved but then I got disapproved. WHAT??? I stated that I already made two payments for the Altima and was wondering where that money was going. They told me Oh that is going towards your loan. I asked what loan was that. The 2013 Nissan Sentra. I could not believe that I was paying for a car that was no longer in my possession. (It was even sold at the dealership.) I immediately called the Nissan Dealership and asked what was going on. They said not to worry. We will fix it. A month later I get the same letter. Repeating last month, I finally got the whole situation resolved. I took my car into its first oil change and then the problems started occurring. The radio and back up camera stopped working after a month. I took the car in to express my concerns about the radio. They updated it and said Everything is good to go. I didnt even leave the lot and I put the car into reverse, the camera flickers green and shuts off. Then the radio reset itself and shuts down. I went back in to tell them nothing was fixed. They replied Oh we will have to order a new radio. That will take about 2 weeks. I took the car home and waited 2 weeks for the radio to arrive. Once it came in, they replaced it and I tested out, everything seemed great and I drove off. 5 hours later it stops working again. (Keep in mind this radio is brand new.) I take it back in and they hold it for a week to find out the issue. Upon returning the car to me, they told me they replaced the back up camera and the radio.I have had the car for a day and now there is a very loud clicking and rattling noise coming from the engine. THE ENGINE! Now I am not a mechanic but I am pretty sure you do not need to access the engine when replacing a backup camera and a radio. I called the dealership where it was for the past week and there was no answer. (I called 5 times.) Then I tried a different Nissan dealership and was told, Well we dont want to touch what they have done and would need copies of all the paperwork. Also if we were to move forward, we would have to call that dealership to get permission from them to work on the car. WHAT?! Last I checked I am paying the monthly payments on my car, not the dealership. I tried contacting Nissan consumer affairs and they tell me Take it to your local dealer. It is my dealer that has caused this mess. I cant take it to a different dealership because they want permission, I cant get a hold of anyone from my current dealership, and I am stuck with this car because of the negative equity. This is my last Nissan. Their mechanics are terrible and their whole business is shady. I am done.

I have purchased 3 new Nissans and financed exclusively through NMAC (Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation). On one occasion, NMAC indicated that I was 30 days late on a payment. I had never been late on any of my other NMAC loans and explained that my check was mailed on-time like all the other payments. The credit department made it clear that there was no forgiveness for being late and never once gave me any benefit of the doubt. My opinion is it doesnt matter if you have never been late and its all about the money to them. If they give you bad marks on your credit (which last for 7 years), then the next time you finance via NMAC, they can charge you higher interest rates. Its a scam, so please be extra careful. Check and double-check any payment you make. Dont assume that NMAC is on your side. Hell, Nationwide is not even on your side, but Ill post that bad experience in another article. So it has been 6 years and 6 months, and the bad credit mark from NMAC should be dropped off at 7 years. I am in the market to buy a new car again, so I called their customer no-service department to see if they would give me a courtesy pass and remove the bad mark that they reported on my credit report. They created a case number, asked me to call back in 48 hours, and turned me down again. I will never buy another Nissan again. Note to the world, you can dispute an item on each of your credit reports (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion); and if NMAC doesnt respond within 30 days, by law, the item must be removed. The only way to teach Nissan and NMAC a lesson is to buy with one of their competitors. Also, if you happen to know someone or have the ability to get a message to Nissan headquarters in Japan, tell them that NMAC doesnt represent the company well. Tell them NMAC doesnt take into consideration your payment history before hurting their loyal customer base. That loyal customer base is certainly thinning out.

CVT failed on our 2012 Versa with 67000 miles. Nissan will not provide any assistance with the $4000 failure. Apparently they were losing too much money repairing these transmissions and decided to turn the problem into a profit center. Now they are having problems sourcing a replacement! Chrysler used the same Jatco transmission in three of their vehicles, but discontinued use because of the problems. I didnt realize at the time but my Jeep patriot company vehicle which also had a transmission failure uses the same transmission. Two rules for buying a car: 1. Make sure its not a Nissan 2. Dont buy if it has a Jatco transmission.
