The national corporate Nissan office surprised me with their response. I had called simply to vent about my treatment at Pohanka Nissan in Fredericksburg, VA. I did not expect them to actually stand behind their product. They listened politely to me and said they would review the problems and get back to me.They called me daily with updates and totally resolved it within a week by compensating me 100% of the transmission replacement. They were amazing as I never expected this response. The only reason that I did not change their rating to 5-stars was the horrible treatment by their Fredericksburg, VA dealership, Pohanka. They were rude and incompetent. For examples on Pohanka, they deceitfully tried to sell my wife higher grade oil changes than recommended by the manufacturer. Just this week, I had to repair a vacuum hose that my Goodyear mechanic said almost certainly resulted from poor installation of the transmission last month by Pohanka. The Pohanka Service Representative actually blamed me for the failure of the $3,800 transmission - you can only guess how that went over with me.I have dealt with many Nissan dealerships and have been very pleased with all but Pohanka. The obvious solution is to continue to buy Nissan products but not from Pohanka. Nor would I recommend that anyone services their car with Pohanka. Again, I was not happy about the transmission but the National Corporate Nissan office was amazing in resolving the problem to our satisfaction. They won me back big time with their incredible response to back up their product with a long term customer.

I purchased a pre-owned 2013 Nissan rouge 8 months ago. Very recently after driving for an hour when I get to a sign stop or an intersection, the car does not accelerate no matter how hard I hit the gas pedal. Cars behind me start honking, cussing, and I know that one of these days Im getting into an accident. Im waiting for the Consumer Affairs specialist to call me. I already took the car to an authorized Nissan service center and the mechanic confirmed its the CVT transmission. The car has 79k miles, no warranty and the extended warranty that Nissan offers does not include my VIN. I hope to get positive news from the specialist and Nissan will be paying for the repair cost or else I will have to file a lawsuit. Ive read so many complaints about this car and for Nissan to not take action, it is a shame, perhaps an accident, a lawsuit will make Nissan to take proper action to protect its customers.

We ended our lease with Nissan through NMAC and had a balance due on our mileage. When we turned it in we bought TWO NEW ROGUES. Since we send monthly payments toward the balance on the lease instead of paying it all at once, they notified the credit bureau saying we did not pay the balance! We are paying them for three cars! Also, when we bought the cars they did not clean them meaning there is residue on the windows where the stickers were. Not even one follow up call, no notices for check ups. Really lousy customer service AFTER you close the deal. Totally disappointed. Cars run fine, the way they treat people is the problem. We will not buy from Nissan again.

I brought a New Leaf on 2nd May 2014. This car is supposed to go 170 Km on a full Battery Charge. My new car will only do 90 to 100 Kms. on a full charge. It has been back to the dealer 3 times for repair. The Head Office of Nissan will not honor the Warranty, as they say there is nothing wrong with the batteries. Their Sales Booklet and internet says should get 170 kms on a full charge. I paid $39,000 cash and would like my money refunded. Head Office in Melbourne WILL NOT CHANGE THE BATTERIES.This car does not perform to what is printed in the Booklet. This car was made in April 2012. Held in storage at Brisbane until sold. The Batteries are 2 Years old when it was delivered to me 4th June 2014. Compliance Plate was Dated May 2014, but the car was over 2 years old then. I expected to buy a 2014 produced Car not a 2 year old one. If then it is sold next year it will say it is 3 year old. I consider that it is false sales to me [not a 2014 model car]. I think Nissan Australia should take the back and Refund me my money.

Not Happy at all that I paid so much money for this 2013 Altima V6 3.5 SL piece of crap. Nissan knowingly sold these defective transmissions and wont even acknowledge the problem let alone fix it. The whole car shudders badly when the lockup torque converter locks up to make a solid connection between tranny and engine. Make for about the worst driving experience you can Imagine. Will NEVER consider another Nissan if they dont come up with a fix.

Nissan will not stand by their bumper to bumper warranty. After just purchasing my brand new Nissan Titan XD 5 days later paint was coming off the front bumper. After working with the local dealer McLarty Nissan in Little Rock and Nissan manufacturer they took the word of some service tech that it was damage. But could not give me any facts on how they arrived at this. When I gave them numerous points and showed them how easily paint was coming off. If I could send my truck back today I would. Do not buy this foreign crap as they will take your money. Buy at your own risk and assume it is a Buy as is.

I was in an accident at the approx speed of 40mph, impact was drivers front and rear. The air bags did not deploy and the seat belt did not catch, allowing me to hit the steering wheel with my right shoulder and throwing my glasses to the floor. Please explain to me why there was no deployment of any air bags and why my seat belt did not lock especially at that speed, I think because that was the biggest selling point, the safety. How can I have confidence in the safety and what the company states and the actual result?

I leased a 2014 Nissan Rogue and paid off the lease several months ago. I requested the title from the leasing department on October 23, 2019. When I called a month later to check on the status, I was informed that they had no record of my request. I sent in a new request on December 19, 2019 and they still have not even acknowledged that my title will be released. They keep promising to call me with updates and have never received a return call. All I am being told is that the title is being processed. I have a buyer for my Rogue and each day that they delay is costing me money because I have to keep the car insured.I will never do business with Nissan leasing again and I suggest that if you are considering leasing a Nissan to use another leasing company. This company is completely non-responsive and incredibly difficult to deal with. As I stated before, their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with in my life. Do not do business with Nissan Leasing!!!!

I have called your finance department Nissan Canada Finance on multiple occasions including today regarding an outstanding payment on my third lease with Nissan (2011 Maxima.) Payment overlooked due to family health issues. The outstanding balance was paid for earlier this year (2016) through your collection agency and payment confirmed by Nissan Finance. I am still getting letters and calls from Credit Risk Management Canada Ltd. asking for payment. I was told by your finance department to resolve it myself with CRM. (How rude and arrogant.) I have been wasting my valuable time dealing with various people regarding this issue. I find it very disturbing that your finance department would not contact the credit agency to confirm the payment. If the calls and letters continue from Credit Risk Management, I will be contacting my lawyer, as I feel this is a form of harassment. I am now on my fourth lease with Nissan and do not expect to renew or purchase with Nissan or Infinity in the future. Your finance department staff are uncaring, rude and condescending and have left me very dissatisfied and angry. UPDATE - Its now Feb 2017 and not one follow-up call or apologies. PS: I miss one payment after 14 years with Nissan and I am considered a criminal. They need to send their hounds after. Nissan - The Donald Trump of Car Companies.

Our company has a 2018 NV 200, a commercial vehicle with 100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper commercial Nissan warranty. There are about 58,000 miles on the truck. On January, 26, 2021 while driving on a small residential road at 5 miles an hour, the passenger side curtain deployed. The truck did not hit anything at all. Our technician said it sounded like a gun went off. He couldn’t see anything. Had this happened on the highway, he certainly would’ve been in an accident, possibly fatal. I have been trying to work with Nissan to have them simply give us a loaner truck for the eight weeks that will be required in order to do a thorough investigation. Im not trying to cause them trouble but They told me I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF ANY LOANER TRUCK!!!.This is the worst handling of a highly explosive situation (no pun intended) that I can imagine. They also said it’s up to THEIR discretion to decide if I would get reimbursed. Furthermore, they said I may be subject to STORAGE CHARGES AT THE LOCAL DEALER UNTIL THIS IS SETTLED. Is this incredible? Dakota from their arbitration group has been assigned to me. No person could have less skills given the severity of this incident. I asked for just two things: a loaner truck and commitment to make sure that any defects be not hidden from the public. DISGRACEFUL. WHO IS SAFE IN THEIR VEHICLES????Heres the worst part. When I told them I demanded a loaner vehicle, they said the case was closed!!!! Mr/Mrs Dakota called the dealer and told them the case was closed and settled. Here is the warranty. Very clear. 5 years/100,000 miles (whichever occurs first). The Nissan Powertrain Limited Warranty covers the engine, transmission and transaxle, plus the drivetrain, as well as air bags, and related electronic control system. [*]

The finance guy ran my credit 15 times without my permission and he wont remove the it by calling the credit bureaus. He had me sign the papers for a lender only to call me a week later and say the deal fell thru. Come back in and resign. When I refused and said I wanted to cancel the deal, he became loud and disgruntled. He said, You cant change your mind and we already sold your vehicle. I tried to refinance 3 months later and was told by the lender they dont do refinance on their loans. Now I am stuck with a high payment.

I took my 2013 rogue for brake shoes, check and told the service advisor that when the car is stopped at a stop sign or signal lights, the car makes a noise like the motor is falling apart. He stated he would check it. Next day he told me brake shoes are OK and that noise is normal. He said the brake shoes needed cleaning but would continue to make that noise. The strange noise that I also was concerned about, he stated it was from having the air on and the gas needs to idle more to keep it running. He said both noises are normal and it will always do that. I am disgusted and so I am trying to trade the car in. First Nissan car that I am not happy with!

We purchased our family dream car and recently noticed an issue. Online I read the likeliness of the CVT transmission being the issue that many customers are experiencing so we took it to our local dealer expecting the recall. The recall covers several years worth of Nissan car makes and models, but did not include ours. At 88,000 miles we were told the entire transmission needed to be replaced, with a cooler for the transmission too. The grand total quote of nearly $5500. We only owe $4000 on the car. A hard working family of 4 now has a family dream car that they cannot afford to fix. I read online calling consumer affairs would be a joke, it was. I called and waited the 24 hours for Nissan Consumer Affairs to tell me that there was nothing they could do.What this customer heard, my family hears, what everyone I know will hear is that Nissan does not stand by their cars. Nissan does not care about my family. Only 88,000 miles and we have a dead car, along with a sorry theres nothing we can do. Obviously there is a problem with the CVT transmission that needs to extend to the 2011 models too, Nissan. Very disappointed.

I have been very disappointed with Nissan and Bob Richards Nissan. My airbag light came on (not flashing). I was told that I had a sensor in the seat of the passenger that had gone bad. I was told that you could not replace the sensor only, but that you had to replace the whole seat to the tune of $4,300. My car doesnt even have electronic adjustments on the seat. After much discussion with Bob Richards Nissan and North Augusta, South Carolina and with consumer affairs for Nissan, I was told that I was out of warranty and that my extended warranty did not cover this. I am shocked that Nissan would not stand behind a safety feature on my car.I was told that my car had 90,000 miles on it, actually it has 99,090 miles on it and it was out of manufacture warranty. When I pick the car up I brought to their attention that my airbag light was not on anymore. I asked them did they disconnect something to cause the lights to go off and they said no that they could not do that. I told them that my light was not on anymore. One of the service guys said to the other one cant we just turn it back on. The other service guy said no we cannot do that. The technician who has been working on the car had reset the light and now it is off. I have driven about 60 miles and so far the light has not came back on. So, do I have a problem or not? What if I had given them $4,300 and did not even need to be fixed. The service guy wrote on my paperwork that he knew that the light has gone off and that the repairs still needed to be done. Well does it? I am very disappointed that Nissan or Bob Richards Nissan would not stand behind the safety feature on my car. I asked the service guy how many times something had to go bad on cars in order to have a recall on a feature, especially a safety feature. He said he did not know. I will never buy a Nissan again. I drove a Toyota Camry prior to this car and it had two hundred and eighty nine thousand miles on it in order to have a recall on a feature, especially a safety feature. He said he did not know. I will never buy Nissan again. I drove a Toyota Camry prior to this car and it had 289000 miles on it when I gave it to someone else and it is still on the road today. Next time I will buy Toyota, but not from Bob Richards Toyota. Again, I am disappointed and disgusted that a seat would cost $4,300.

Bought a new truck in June of 2020. Within the first few months it had 2 radiator leaks, showed signs of a/c leaking and possible injector leak at the 1 and 3 cylinders due to dirt build up around them. After passing by police radar on the side of the road at 40 mph on speedometer it showed 37, 36, so 4 mph off. When I took it in to the dealership with the radiator leaking fixed one leak completely a loose screw on the radiator switched radiator cap from radiator to overflow slowed the leak ordered new radiator cap. While their computer was reset to attempt to fix speedometer. After reset at low speed 40 mph radar showed 39 mph. After getting past left and right at highway speeds used GPS speedometer which showed me only doing 72 sometimes 73.To reach 75 mph on GPS speedometer must get to 78 or 79mph on my dash. This greatly increases the mileage on the vehicle and runs the warranty out sooner also greatly reduces resale value of the vehicle. The first time I towed a trailer weighing 2200 pounds and a 24 hp compact tractor weighing less than 2200lbs the receiver hitch cracked and Nissan has done nothing to replace it! The last two things that was in the initial list of issues the battery terminals were never coated with corrosion inhibitor and the bed wasnt mounted properly leaving roughly a 1 inch gap of alignment from the side of the bed from the cab. So if you are looking down the truck from the tailgate instead of the bed blending into the can you see it bend inwards from the outside of the bed towards the drivers side of the truck. Well I had also complained about squeaking noises from the front end and was blown off.I have been trying to get the truck repaired for over a year now to no avail. In May 2021 went to check fluids under then noticed that the headlight was cracked roughly 1 to 2 inches from mounting bolt under the hood, went to other side it was cracked as well. Shut hood got to looking center of hood aligns perfectly with grill but both the driver and passenger sides are off. Gaps between hood and fenders arent even. Its about the opposite of the gaps in the tailgate due to it being misaligned. This vehicle was never wrecked unless something happened to it before my purchase at 48 miles. Nissan doesnt want anything to do with me or the repairs that are warranty repairs. If you are thinking about buying a new Nissan save yourself the headache. Buy something better. Service after the sale is horrible. Nissan consumer affairs has promised to fix these issues since my first call. It now has been in the shop for over a month in total this visit 3 weeks and going and as of 4 days ago hadnt even been looked at. Beware of what you buy.

Never in my life will I return to this dealership (Power Nissan at South Bay) and I advise to be very careful when dealing with the people here. I came into the dealership requesting a Lease Buyout Packet which I was instructed to get from Nissan USA after calling over the phone. So I come in and I was told to wait for **. I waited over 1 hour to only be rushed out of his office, and after declining extended warranty, he literally threw me the purchase order. I couldnt believe the service this man was providing my father and I. I took the purchase order to my credit union to finalize the loan being that I didnt like the customer service given to me there at the dealership. The credit union mailed Power Nissan South Bay the check. I figured we were done and the loan was paid off. Well I was wrong. The same rude unprofessional man by the name of ** called my father and basically threatened him with returning the check back to the credit union if he didnt go in the dealership right there and then to sign the paper work for the extended warranty. My father told him “I don’t speak English.” He then told my father “You’re in America, not Mexico.” My dad couldnt believe his ears. He then called me to tell me what was going on. I then called Power Nissan and requested to speak to ** and then it all went down. This man began to yell and curse me out after I questioned him for harassing my father. He stated that we better go in there ASAP or else. I then asked to speak to his manager and he stated “I am the manager. I’m the senior manager and I don’t have time for you. Go somewhere else” and hung up on me. I called him back and told him Id be coming to pick up the check. He then said “Don’t bother its been destroyed.” So now my question is what’s going to happen to my loan. And where did all this come from. Never in my life have I seen or dealt with such an animal. Yes animal, he is not human. A human doesnt treat others this way. I am so disappointed and don’t even want my 2 Nissan vehicles anymore. I will never ever purchase or support a Nissan dealer after this horrific experience. I have reported this incident to Yelp, BBB, Nissan Corporate I want this to be known. You do not have the right to treat customers this way. I don’t know if this was an act of racism or if this man is just plain evil. Just because we are Mexican/Hispanic doesnt give you the right to treat us any less. The manager of Power South Bay is a total jerk - the rudest, meanest, ugliest person Ive ever met. Been taking my Nissan 07 Pathfinder with 47,000 miles to the dealership for maintenance since I leased then bought it. Over two to three years Ive been reporting a sound coming from the car as I accelerated up to 25 then again at 40 mph. This problem was never resolved because it came and went and it almost never surfaced when I would bring the car in for maintenance. They would tell me its the heat shields and tighten them but the noise would return. I had scheduled a 45,000 mile maintenance and on the way to the dealership my engine began to rumble then the service engine light came on where. I was told by the adviser that a coil and a platinum spark plug needed to be replaced to fix the engine misfire. I was given a loaner and they worked on my car for two days. I got my car back and everything seemed fine, the engine light was off, car was smooth. A little more than a week later after I dropped off my wife at work, the engine started to act up and rumble and engine light came on again. I was not far from the dealership so I decided take it in. All of a sudden, halfway to the dealership, I cannot drive past 25 mph and the car starts to make the noise its been making when I accelerated to 25 and 40 mph, the same noise Ive been complaining about for about 3 yrs and now its amplified. I told the service adviser about the incident and told it could possibly be the catalytic converter which is covered under warranty until 2015 by federal emissions law so it would be no cost to me to be replaced. I needed to go to work so again I was given a loaner and the job took two days. I received a call from Nissan and was told that the catalytic was very clogged and parts broke off damaging the engine and it was going to cost $6,600 or more to rebuild or replace the engine. My warranty inconveniently expired three months ago. How can this happen to a car with low miles and with an excellent maintenance record? Shouldnt Nissan be responsible?

My brand new car (Nissan Sunny XL petrol), right after the second free service, the car started having problem like heating up of the engine and frequent shutdowns. When checked with the service center, it assured me nothing was wrong with the vehicle and in a perfect condition. I, with my little daughter, drove the car to our relatives next day. On the way, it broke down again while passing a dangerous valley. It stopped more than 20 times during the travel of 200km. When I contacted the service station in charge, he said that he cannot do anything. When asked what should be done next, his answer was, HE DOESNT KNOW ANYTHING.I then called Nissan Call Center. With much effort and persuasion, they connected me to the local technician who, after inspection, declared that the problem occurred because of the FAULTY FUEL PUMP and DUPLICATE COOLANT, which the service center used. More than 15 days has passed and in spite of sending a number of mails, no action has been taken until date.

I paid off my Nissan Altima 5 weeks ago. I sent the pay off via cashier check from my credit union. I received a letter in the mail confirming the pay off. I did not receive the title. I called them up today. I was told that they sent the title to my credit union instead of me. Wow, what a big mistake. So, help me with this. All cashier checks are from banks. So, do you send all your titles out to the bank listed on the cashier check? I think not. I mailed by certified mail the check to Nissan and they dropped the ball and sent it to my credit union. Now I have to wait longer to get my title. Thanks, Nissan!

We originally filed for a refund of the cash value of the Vehicle Ext. Warranty and Maintenance Contracts on October 28, 2011 with the Bob Rohrman Nissan dealership. We were told 6-8 weeks before we would receive the credit. Dec. 15th, we contacted Nissan Customer Service and spoke with Cedric 1800-Nissan ext **. He stated that Nissan showed that they had never received anything from the dealer. He gave an address and a list of documentation that was needed to start the claim all over. Via certified letter mailed on 12/20/11, we sent him the original copy of Odometer Disclosure Statement from the dealer dated 10/14/11, copy of Wells Fargo statement showing the rogue being paid off posted on 10/21/11 and the original copy of Nissan Extended Services North America Dealer Cancellation Request from Bob Rohrman Nissan of Chesterton dated 10/28/11. The letter was signed for on 12/28/11.Chitana at ** received a similar complaint like this and responded in early January 2012. She then passed the case on to Jane ** at ext **. Jane does not remember conversations from one day to the next. She blames the dealership CFO for not getting back to her. She called and said she is waiting for a confirmation number from another department, which she had told me this now for over a month but she will be calling me back with days with the info then never calls. She told me she is contacting the dealer about the value of the maintenance contract, but now says there is no record of contradicting what Chitana told me. It has been 22 weeks since the claim was initiated. I am close to filing in small claims courts and hiring an attorney for the complaint. The claim will be for the initial credits, attorney fees, court costs and interest.

I purchased my Night Armor colored Frontier new in 2011. It wasnt until after my paint began to flake off the front fender wells, that I researched online and found this to be a long standing problem with Nissan Frontiers. I expected the paint to fade and lose its luster over time but to have the paint just completely flake off is something I wasnt prepared for. The exterior of my truck was detailed on a regular basis that consisted of washing, clay bar, sealant and waxing and yet my paint is flaking off, along with rust in the water channels on the roof. This without a doubt is a manufacturers defect in the paint process or the paint itself that Nissan refuses to acknowledge. Toyota has a similar issue on some of their vehicles but they have gone as far as extending the paint warranty to 14 yrs for all of its customers, kudos Toyota. There is no indication that the problem has been resolved on the 2022 Frontier model... BUYER BEWARE. This is a clear indication why they are losing market share... Nissan has lost me as a repeat customer!!!

We leased this vehicle and it was nothing but trouble. We would go on business trips and returning to car, it wouldnt start. The battery was ok but we couldnt figure out what to do. This happened many many times and was told by the dealer they couldnt figure out what was wrong. At one point the radio would come on blasting and there was nothing we could do to turn it down or off. Nissan did replace the radio but it ended up not being the trouble with the car stalling. This was not reliable and we ended up having to return it early from our lease agreement because it was a LEMON!!!

Went to the local dealership twice for assistance in obtaining a nav update
Went to the local dealership twice for assistance in obtaining a nav update for my 2013 Pathfinder. Got bounced between the Head of Service and Parts multiple times and was finally told I guess you have to go online. Well after searching for about two hours I came across a Nissan page with a map update promising to be the latest and guaranteed to work on my vehicle. I placed that order. This was on a Friday morning. As I checked out and finalized the order I was redirected to none other than the main site for Nissan Nav updates that I had been searching for on the web for hours. Unfortunately, running my nav and vin showed that the order just placed was a three year old update. Finally found the correct update, ordered it and placed a call to customer service to cancel the first order. Sat on hold for an hour and got cut off. So I sent an email to customer service explaining the problem. No luck speaking to anyone Saturday when they stated they were open just another hour on hold, Monday evening sat on hold for an hour till someone picked up. Was helpful and said hed put me on hold for a few minutes and text instructions to return the first order on their dime when it arrived, and oh, by the way he said that one would NOT work in my vehicle. After about 3 minutes I got a fast busy, then a long squeal and then sat on hold in silence for another 45 minutes till I gave up. Now another email to customer service - their response was when it arrives call customer service - thanks but no thanks - Ive filed a complaint with Paypal which I used to pay the first order. Will try again tomorrow. I know for a FACT Toyota, Chevy, Ford, even Hyundai and Kia have customer service that is FAR superior to Nissan, this was the last thing I expected, God help me if I ever have a real problem. This will be my last Nissan. It is back to Toyota, Chevy or Ford for this man, Ive had them all, plus Hyundai and Kia all have better service and run just as good and have just as few, likely less problems and the body integrity on all of them is much better.

I purchased a new 2011 Altima in August 2011 on a lease, placing $3,000 down and monthly payments around $260.00. In September, I received a statement showing a credit. Again in October, the statement reflected a credit. I called NMAC to verify these credits were indeed correct, I was assured the account was correct and that my first actual payment would be due in December. At the end of October, I received a collection call stating I was 30 some days overdue with a balance of $368.00 owing. Coincidentally, that day I received a letter from NMAC stating that during an internal audit, they mistakenly applied an amount to my account as a credit and that this amount would be added to my next statement. I called NMAC and told them I have not received a statement showing their mistake and a corrected amount to pay. I would pay when I received the statement. The hounding calls persisted, they even called my place of employment. I called the manager of the dealership, he explained that the dealership and NMAC are two entirely different companies but he offered to help. I received my November statement which has an overage amount due for over $200.00.I paid my arranged payment plus the overage, check cleared. Again in December, the invoice was paid, cleared bank. On December 2, 2011, my dealership manager even intervened and was told that they had cleared up the mess, they informed him that my account and another lease holders account - 1 number apart- was the reason for the confusion. He was told everything is fine, my account is current. I, myself confirmed this information with Nissan. Today, Friday December 23, 2011, at 9:15am at the place of employment, I received a call from NMAC credit attempting to collect a debt 32 days overdue for $368.00, stating insufficient funds. Unbelievable! This company is impossible to deal with - speaking to India without the ability to sit down face to face and hammer out the problems is so frustrating. Local dealerships can only help so much. I have been advised by a family attorney that these companies cannot contact you repeatedly at your place of employment - so I advised them today to cease calling me at work - they are now on notice. This is becoming the worst experience of my life and I will not continue with this idiocy for the next 4 years. We consumers are at the mercy of this NMAC plus they can potentially ruin our credit rating. I may need legal help soon!

Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one
Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one star as there is no Zero that I can provide as a rating. Purchased three Nissan Vehicles from our local dealership. 1st was a 2012 Frontier (SL). Fully certified with less than 6,000 miles in 2015. The following issue came to light AFTER I purchased the truck. Both front and rear bumpers had to be replaced due to damage from the sale person who we found out drove the truck to pull his boat. He off set the bumpers and caused the braces to be pulled down causing the bumpers to pull away from the frame. The brakes were replaced twice at a cost of $680 each time. The initial brake repair was not proper repaired as the dealership used third party parts. Actually told me that and then claim they were Nissan parts - but had faults. Cost me two brake jobs and complete bumper replacements and the story is just starting. When I felt unsafe in the vehicle I was going to sell it back to Nissan. That is when the adjuster informed me that the right side fender has been damaged and repaired. Also the front glass had been replace incorrectly. None of this was on the CARFAX, nor reported to me at the time of sale. Now my wife has a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The vehicle has portions of the front bumper pulling away from the body. The dealership informed me that my wife must have hit a parking block and dragged the frame over the block which has caused damage to the underside of the car. My wife may drive her car less than 3000 a year and SHE did it. No I think when they were preparing the car was sell they hit the lifting rack and caused the damage. The foot lift door doesnt work. No problem the dealership will tell you as they really never work correctly. NICE!I have a 2015 Frontier from the same dealership. I just purchased the vehicle less than one month ago as I need to have a truck. Stupid me - thinking that everything would go well. Fooled me again! Yesterday the truck would not start leaving me well out of my local area. When we tried to replace the battery I found that wires and the battery were so corroded that it needed to replace the wiring and the battery. That was a great cost of funds. What does the 100 point inspect include? So I have been a fool for the third times. This is my fault. But I want everyone to know that you need to find a solid dealership that respect you and values your business.

We bought a brand new Nissan Sentra 2013, have had problems with it and has been in to be repaired and told every time that that is normal. Problem 1: had rattling in dashboard. Told several times that is normal. Transmission doesnt always shift until you are 2 plus miles in, that is normal. Area around the door, that is normal (this is brand new car). The passenger seat belt will lock and you cannot move, have to unclasp and let it go all the way back and start fresh, that is normal. This doesnt happen every day. But come on, new and all this. We have been battling with this issue for over a year. Will not buy or tell anyone Nissan is anything but a high-risk car. We are senior citizens and cannot afford costly repairs, thus reason we bought NEW. Now trying to pay off and get Toyota, Honda, anything but NISSAN. We have had several other brand new cars and NEVER had a problem with them.

I purchased Nissan Murano from West Hills Nissan 2 years ago. Had no problem with them, treated me fairly, and I liked the car. Few weeks ago received a brochure from West Hills, offering me new car with lower monthly payment, so I went there, showed me Nissan Maxima and asking me $525 a month to lease. Told them it is expensive and they said ok. Few days later received a call from Kenny ** Nissan in Cranberry, PA and offering me a good deal. Told them the story about West Hills that I could not afford it, was told not to worry and they have many cars in their lot and I could get a deal. Called me few more times, so I agreed to go and see what kind of deal they got. I went with my son and we got there before noon. That was my biggest mistake to go there. 1st said $509 but I told them it is too high for me. I swear I tried to leave many times but they were keep asking me to wait to see what they can do for me. I was tired, my son was tired, but they didnt let us leave. It was late evening and we were still asked to stay. They had my Murano and because Murano was in excellent condition, they wanted to trade. By late evening the manager took me to Maxima in the showroom and reach out his hand to shake my hand and said he made mistake that $509 was for different color not for black one and asked me to shake his hand for $528 and he started shaking my hand. It is hard to believe but that is exactly what happened. They knew what type people we are, obviously not a smart one, who would pay $528 for Maxima for 3 years lease. They treated us like an idiot, took us to a room and said you have won something and asked us to pick a card from the board hanging on the wall to get our prize. He was one of the managers and congratulated us for winning the prize. He said you have to pay $35 or something similar to get an AAA insurance for road assistance. Told him I have road assistance included in my own Insurance. He got mad and for 10 minutes was pushing for me to sign up. Asked him about the car, said he does not know much about that car, that he was new, but still was asking for AAA to be added to my monthly lease payment. I had to force myself to leave that room. I asked almost everybody in there about some future in the car, they just wanted me to leave. They got their deal and I was not worth any more. I told them I had worth of $150 of dash cam accessories in the car that either let me take the car to outside shop to remove it or they have to do it for me. Was told to not worry they will remove it and I can come back to pick it up. The next day went back gave them the other key for Murano, but was told Murano was not there and they will call me. Waited 2 weeks and called the dealer was told they sold the Murano. I told the salesman that I am not happy and I am going to make a complaint, said he will call me back. 2 days later I called him myself said he talked to General Manager and they dont want unhappy customer so they offered 2 free oil changes. I just hung up on him. I dont know how many people were ripped off by these people, but its time to investigate their unhealthy business. I also contacted Nissan USA before make my case to public. I got a call from a very angry lady from NISSAN USA that kept telling I have to deal with the dealer.

I bought a 1989 Nissan Hard body pickup (D21) from a friend. The DMV (Riverside, California) allowed me to register it but said I must send a certified letter to Nissan Corporation to obtain the Title. So I sent Nissan a certified letter requesting a title and they sent it back to me without even opening the letter. Then the DMV said that I needed to buy a bond and they (the DMV) would make me a new Title. So I bought a bond and gave it to the DMV. Then I received a letter from the DMV from Sacramento, California stating that I would still need to contact Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation to obtain a Title. My friend paid this truck off back in 1994. There is no reason that I know of for Nissan to withhold the Title. I cannot get in touch with anyone from the company. My registration expires in October of 2014. Please Nissan call me and lets get this problem solved.

Nissan consumer affairs is a JOKE! Purchased a used 2011 Nissan Murano convertible from a Chevy dealer. Before the purchase though I made an appointment and brought the car to the local Nissan to have a pre-purchase inspection done from dealership the car was orig sold and maintained from. Got the thumbs up. I asked if there were any major issues. Was told no. Asked if I could get a print out of all services completed and was told I could not have that but the service tech read to me minor repairs that were done. So I purchased the car. 2 months into owning the vehicle the convertible top stops working... Come to find out the top on this vehicle had already been replaced at 12k miles and was brought in several times for complaints with the convertible top not opening properly. Now we have a car that the top DOES NOT WORK and they say it will cost $17,000.00 in parts to repair... This does NOT include labor. Nissan doesnt feel they are responsible for this repair. How can you expect a consumer to spend SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS + labor to repair a car worth 24K when it is clearly a known issue with this vehicle? We even found a bulletin Nissan published stating known issues with the top. This is the most unbelievable thing I have ever come across. NISSAN was my very first vehicle. Ive always thought they were great vehicles. I will never EVER purchase or recommend to ANYONE to ever buy a Nissan. We will be wrapping the car as a lemon and serving free lemonade out of it. DO NOT PURCHASE NISSAN.

The 2008 Nissan Rogue is only 2 years old and the battery went bad leaving me stranded. I was told that the battery is only warrantied for 1 year. Really only 1 year? I had to pay $132.00 at a Sears store to have a new battery installed, but this battery is warrantied for 6 years. I bought a brand new car so I wouldnt have these problems. If Nissan is going to use such below average parts, I should have bought a different car brand, especially since the warranty is so limited. I should have stayed with a Chevy!

I am very disappointed to come on here and do this. I bought a 2012 Nissan Versa in 2014. I loved that car. At the time the dealership seemed nice. It was all handshakes and how can we help you. Fast forward till today and they are the single worst entity I have ever had to deal with. Background: I unfortunately was in a car accident (no one was hurt) but my car was totaled. I wasnt an idiot, I had all the insurance I needed including GAP. I put in all my paperwork, work with the loan company and my insurance and the GAP company. Everything was going fine. Then, the woman from the GAP company emailed me saying that Nissan was insisting that I received the Security Plus extended service contract for free (which it clearly states on my Finance contact I was charged $935 for). I think to myself, not a big deal, I have my copy of the finance contract. I had already sent it to her, so I didnt see a problem. But there was a huge problem. The Gap company gets a cancellation quote for these services. But since Nissan was insisting I got it for free she couldnt get a quote. So, she calls Nissan, Nissan tells her I have to call. I call them. They say I have to speak to the dealership (which I am not at all in close proximity to at this point), but they are more than happy to contact the dealership and have them reach out to me. They said it would take probably a day before I heard back. Well, I never heard back from Edison Nissan. I called the woman back, but she stopped answering her phone weeks ago. She also will not return any of my messages. Her name is Janeesha, run the other way if you have to talk to her. This is a unique thing I have run into with this. I called the dealership myself trying to speak to someone in Finance a few times. Well, what they always do is transfer me to someone with a full mailbox. I cant leave message (not that I think they would call me back if they did get my message), the phone doesnt even ring. I call back and when the sales person answers (there is not published number for Finance because why would anyone need that), I ask for a direct line. They cant give it to me.So, I have upped the game on them, so now its their turn to up the game (I guess, that is what it feels like, like they are playing games with me and my finances). They say, well, I can transfer you to reception and they should have numbers they can give you. Great I say, Put me through. I thank the guy on the other end of phone, he transfers me to a voicemail, that says for me to leave a message, then promptly hangs up the phone so I cant leave a message. Its a shame. Their cars are awesome in my opinion. But I would never ever buy another car from Nissan because I would have to deal with a horrible dealership or a terrible phone support team. These people are only interested in you when you are ready to give them money. I get that, I do. Im not trying to vilify them, I know theyre profit driven like any company. But I find the fact that I cant get 5 minutes of a single persons time when I actually need them to do something for me! I knew what I wanted to buy when I went in, I made the sale very easy on them. I test drove, I was satisfied, I bought. Now I need something from them and they dont give a damn. Never again, Nissan, never again. I love how at the bottom of my Finance Contract it reads: Customer/Lending in Truth Contract. Except for when its provided as proof and no one cares what it says.

After exchanging my leased 2005 Nissan Altima for a new leased 2009 Nissan
After exchanging my leased 2005 Nissan Altima for a new leased 2009 Nissan Altima, I was billed over $2,000 for excess damage. After reviewing the inspection report (inspection done by a third party company, without my review or given the chance to correct damages before turning the vehicle), I wrote a letter of dispute to NMAC and sent it registered mail and submitted payment in full for the items I agreed to. NMAC did not respond in writing or by phone to my letter of dispute. After a few months, I began to receive collection letters from an outside collection firm. Again I sent a letter of dispute to NMAC and sent a copy of the dispute for the file to Experian, Equifax and TransUnion credit bureaus. After a few more months I began to notice the adverse credit notations regarding this transaction with each credit bureau report.Once again I requested in a letter to NMAC that they respond to my original dispute and remove the adverse credit information from each credit bureau. After two years, I finally received a response. A demand for payment of the disputed amount and a comment that they viewed my original dispute as frivolous and without merit. After over three years, this adverse credit mark is still showing up and impacting my credit score negatively. I bought out my lease on my current Altima and will never again buy a Nissan product. I also go to great lengths to tell all of my friends and acquaintances to beware of doing business with Nissan and especially NMAC. Nissan may feel that they have won a battle with me for approximately $1,700.00, but I will try to hurt their sales as much as possible through my negative comments to friends and acquaintances. While in graduate business school, I learned that on average, consumers who have good experience with a company share it with one other person. Those who have a bad experience share it with an average of eleven other people. Im beating the average.

I bought my Nissan Juke in August 2012 and have had no problems with it until June. I set up a recurring payment with Nissan Finance so that I wouldnt fall behind. When we fell behind 2 months, I found that the account never saved, although it said it did. My mom even went in and set up an account, which again, never saved. So we called customer service and a lady there set it up for us, so we thought we were fine. WRONG. Our car got repossessed last night because we were behind on payments. How? I dont know. The only to get it back now is if we pay the off the car in full. The card that was supposedly supposed to be on that account is still active, so whatever happened, is beyond me. This wouldnt be the first time Ive gotten such bad service from Nissan.

ATTENTION NISSAN ROGUE OWNERS PLEASE READ: I am extremely disappointed in the results of my visit. My 2008 Nissan Rogue of South Brunswick Acme Nissan went in because of a problem the Rogues had with their passenger airbag lights and problem with the sensor in the seat. Ive never had an accident nor problem with the seat. Now Nissan tells me, Sorry, the seat needs to be replaced to the tune of OVER $1400.00. They claim it was covered for 5 years or 50,000 miles. Oh yes and by the way, it was a recalled item at one time! Well gentlemen, I will not have this seat replaced and I will rely on the primary safety seat belt. I have 4 cars in my family, 2 of which are Nissans, and just for your info, I will NEVER and I mean NEVER buy another Nissan as long as I live or take it for service to Nissan. One last thing if I may. Why was I charged over $50.00 just to find out whose problem it was? Oh wait if it was Nissans problem you would absorb the cost but because it was not your problem you passed it on to me. Thank you for making my choice of vehicles in the future easier the next time because it WONT be a Nissan. A letter will follow up to Corporate of Nissan, BBB of NJ, and the Home News Tribune and their sister paper, the Asbury Park Press, Star Ledger, YouTube and anyone else I can inform via electronic media.

I was really concerned after reading reviews online. I mailed my payoff and it did not show up online for the first week. I called customer service. The rep was very nice and very reassuring telling me it usually takes 2 weeks to process and that the title can take approximately 45 days. True to her word, the payment was posted during the second week. The pleasant surprise was that I received the title the following week.

2014 Versa Note SV bought New, found rust on the 3rd day of purchase in 12+ areas underneath including sub-frame and various components. Complained and requested replacement with a rust free car. Nissan wont replace or refund despite extensive correspondence, emails, phone calls, visits to the dealer, furnishing date stamped pictures of rust areas. Nissan is dragging its feet with feeble excuses - No excessive rust found, Rust is not affecting safety of the car, Rust not affecting performance of the car - which is why they will not replace it. Upon telling them that due to rust, the resale value of car is severely diminished to junk car value, they have nothing to say. Filed complaints with authorities including the Attorney General but they are slow to process so nothing has come of it so far and Nissan wont stand behind its products. BBB Autoline has sided with Nissan and they just pissed on the Lemon Law doing that - despite providing scores of date stamped photographs of the rust areas. Nissan is not giving me a charity car, nor it is a used car that they have sold me. I have paid full price with high interest for 6 years that I am going to be paying and I deserve a rust free car without defects but Nissan does not seem to agree to that. People, please think a thousand times before buying a Nissan. A company that is trying to get away using every lame excuse. I am afraid that Nissan may have sold a large number of cars to buyers with rust simply because the American buyer trusts manufacturers for their quality and integrity - but not in case of Nissan. If any law students/retired lawyers/lawyers are willing to help - for an affordable fee - as I can not afford a lot at this time - please help me and may God bless you for your kindness.

So, I just came back from the military and I wanted to buy a brand new car from Nissan of Queens. I went to the dealer and inquire about buying the selected car that I wanted to purchase for cheap. I was disappointed with the customer service because I didnt get to get my military discount that should have been applied at the time of my purchase. I feel that if someone is in the military and being a woman, we shouldnt be taken for advantage due to the lack of experience or knowledge that entails in purchasing the vehicle. I am still continuing to fight this issue because it is ridiculous that I have to still pay off my car which the total I had to pay for my vehicle was almost 26,500. I still have to pay off my car and I do not think it is fair. The car dealer that sold me the car was only concerned about the commission that he is putting inside his pockets. I wish that I have never purchase my car from him, because he ripped me off. All I wanted to do was purchase my car and serve my country to help others and in return I was never helped. It is very sad to see that younger folks in the retail industry never discuss things of importance to someone like myself that went into the dealership to purchase a vehicle by myself.

We purchased a brand new 2015 Nissan Rogue in September of this year and were experiencing radio issues from the day we left the dealer lot. It came in very static sounding and we thought maybe we were just in an area with poor reception. As we continued to drive the problem continued in various areas. The sound is so bad that we dont even use the radio. Were forced to use the free XM subscription that is almost expired or the CD player. We brought our car into the dealer of purchase and they claimed to have fixed the issue but we still had the same problem. Being that the dealer we purchased from was far from our home, we took it to another dealer. It has been back twice since then and they have not been able to fix it saying that Nissan needs to release a software update and until they do that the problem cannot be fixed. We were given Nissans number to follow up with them and today (11/19/15) I received a call with the regional consumer affairs representative pretty much telling me that they dont have a solution. I asked her what the timeframe is and if they would offer any other answer besides others have been complaining of the same issue and theyre working on it but she kept repeating the same thing. No timeframe, no resolution, theyre working on it. I even asked if they would cover the satellite radio until the software update comes out to fix the problem and she said they would not. So now if I want to listen to anything besides a CD, Id have to take out more money to pay for the subscription. I completely understand that this isnt a mechanical or safety issue but when consumers are spending thousands of dollars on a brand new item that is warranted to work in a specific manner and the company is not standing behind their customer service, this is absolutely outrageous. I have never heard of something like this before. I paid for a brand new, fully functioning car and that is not what I received. Nissan should be truly ashamed at themselves for selling products like this and not even offering a resolution in the meantime. Horrible quality control, horrible customer service. I will definitely think twice before purchasing another Nissan specifically due to their poor customer service.

A Service Advisor left me in the waiting area 8 hours and still didnt do the work. Within that time frame only the oil and tires were changed. Rushing to get my car to me, a technician or other help misplaced a lug nut, then entered a charge on the invoice as it were missing when I got there. I filed a complaint about my experience to Nissan of North America Consumer Affairs who informed management of the complaint. And management didnt reply. Nissan 370Z is a great looking car with horrible storage space. Great acceleration but no sunroof, hatchback, and 2 door. Pretty easy to park cause its compact and small. I also like the color -- a silver grey. The body shape is sporty and looks great. I bought the car mostly because of the way it looked and the acceleration and the sportiness of it. I wish that it had a sunroof/T-top. Though those can be a pain in the butt. I hate the headlights. I think they should have been pop ups. I hate the hatch trunk. Nowhere near enough room. Seats are black cloth - very ugly. I hate that it doesnt come with a hatch cover. I have one that does not fit the car.

I have 2 warranties on my car (2012 Nissan Juke) and Nissan will not honor the repairs to my car engine and/or transmission. I am under the required mileage and I bought the car used with under 30k miles. The car begin to cut off and idle down without any warning so I took it to the dealership where I live and they said I needed to replace the engine and/or transmission and that this was a ongoing problem with Nissan. I have read all the forums and Nissan is aware of the issues but will not issue a recall.I would like for them to take ownership and repair my car, I am a retired disabled veteran and I need my car to go back and forth to my doctors appointments. If I dont get any satisfaction, I am prepared to go to the local news to let them do a story on how Nissan mistreats its customers and disabled vets. I am a member of National Organization of Veterans Advocates (NOVA) and they are waiting to see the outcome of this before they intervene. Nissan knows that this is an ongoing problem and they should do the right thing by allowing me to use my car warranty to fix the issue. I am on a fixed income and I cant afford to pay absorbent amounts of money for car repairs, that is why I purchased the car warranty.

I purchased a pre-owned 2012 Nissan Rogue with 25,000 miles January 2013. I have regular scheduled maintenance performed and take pride in the care of my vehicle. This past weekend, 5-14, I had planned a visit to Sarasota to my daughters house but had to replace my alternator and it took a few days to receive the part in so I postponed my trip until the following weekend. I had made it almost to Tampa from Atlanta and I noticed my car was losing power. I could not get it to go over 65 miles per hour. It was also whining. I called the shop that replaced alternator and described what I was experiencing. The mechanic suggest I get off the Interstate and have the computer hooked up to see if it was reading any codes and if not, to get to a Nissan dealership, which I did in Wesley Chapel, FL. After two hours, I was told by my service advisor Naco that he had good news and bad news. The good news was it wasnt going to cost me a penny and the bad news was my transmission had gone out. The car had 61,000 miles on it. I had just turned over the warranty period on my way to Florida. I was traveling alone and 9 hours from my home. I was already upset and nervous as I had just spent $600 on a new alternator before I left. He told me not to cry that it wasnt costing me anything. They were going to put me in another Rogue and send me on my way to visit my daughter and my car would be repaired when I headed back to Atlanta on Monday. My car was loaded with stuff for my daughters new house and he told me that he would get some of his guys to help unload my car and load the loaner. Nissan was replacing my transmission. When I asked why, I was told that they had some problems with that year and model transmissions. The service manager, Joey, was very comforting and couldnt understand why I was still crying (overwhelming)!!!! In about an hour later, as I was getting ready to leave, Naco came to me and said Sorry, Nissan isnt going to pay for transmission because I was 1000 miles over warranty. The loaner now became a rental. He said I was looking at $3600 to replace the transmission. I told him I didnt have $3600 to replace transmission and I shouldnt be replacing the transmission with only the mileage I had on the car.Who does that? Who tells you Nissan is paying and an hour later, tells you they dropped me. Never once was I told I should call Consumer Affairs but he and his staff were making calls on my behalf. Again, I became upset and was in total shock. When I asked why they dropped me, he said that I was out of warranty! 1000 miles and 1/2 of those were on this trip! After verifying that I maintained my vehicle (they called the service center and had my records sent to them), they came back and said I didnt service my car at a Nissan dealership so there was nothing they could do???????? I was in total shock! After another two hours, the service manager offered me a wholesale price of $2850. Still in disbelief, I told them I would have to make some calls to my family for help that I didnt have the money. After leaving in the rental car, I called the dealership where my car was purchased and was told by that service manager that I needed to be calling consumer affairs and open a case number to review my case for assistance. So I did, only to be denied any assistance at all. When I asked to take case a step further, I was told it would be 24-48 hours before anyone would call me back. I begged her (Keona) to forego the 24 to 48 hour period as I am stranded on the side of the road 9 hours from my home. All this to no avail!!! My whole visit to my daughters house was stressful as I was concerned how I was getting home. To be told Nissan was taking care of me and then Sorry, we are not!!! Again, who does that?

Purchased a used 2011 Nissan Versa with low mileage (66k) thinking that, like previously owned Nissans, this will last until 300k without any major issues. At 79k miles the car feels like it is loose and swaying back and forth while driving and the service light comes on. Take to Nissan dealer and find a recall and after looking at the transmission, they say we need to replace the transmission because it is giving a fail code. They only want $4000+ for the replacement, more than we owe on the car. Of course I did my research and see the thousands of complaints on the CVT engine that is supposedly the most efficient transmission on the market and they had upped the warranty coverage up until 2010 model to 120k miles. Great, that doesnt help my 2011 but I checked and it was manufactured in 2010, so I call 1800Nissan1 and complain and ask for help. To their benefit they come back and say they will pay half the transmission cost. Half, for a transmission with obvious issues that they know about but will not recognize officially. My wife and I bought the Nissan because it was a go-to car brand, it would be reliable, it would not let us down. In the midst of this the neighbors 2012 Nissan Altimas CVT transmission failed. I hate to say this, having had the 1996 Nissan Sentra for almost 14 years, but never will we buy another Nissan. My plan was to pay the car off this year anyhow so now it will sit as a monument until some reasonable lawsuit is filed on behalf of the people CVT transmissions has left stranded.

I purchased a 2013 Nissan Sentra SR only 8 months ago with 80,000 miles! After leaving the dealership (hrs after) I had contacted the manager to inform her that I felt as if there was a problem with the transmission because of the problems I was experiencing, the car was revving very high while in park or stopped and jerking. It almost felt as if I was driving a standard and taking off from a stop sign in 2nd gear! This is what my car feels like taking off after every stop I make! I have a ton of text messages between the manager and I about this problem. She somehow made a way to make ME feel like I had been driving the car a certain way or that I just hadnt had any experience driving new cars. This was the response I got for about 90 days until my warranty was up!I have now only had my car for 8 months and with only 93,000 miles and 3 years old, I am being told my transmission is GONE and this is going to cost me $3,200! PLEASE TELL ME HOW THIS IS POSSIBLE FOR A 3 YEAR OLD CAR!? I still owe $11,000 on this vehicle! And while paying family and friends and taxis to get myself and my 2 infant children to and from work, school and daycare, I am now struggling to make my monthly payments because at this point, I cannot afford to mess up my credit! I dont know what to do!! And after reading all of these complaints I feel absolutely taken advantage of, and absolutely no hope for nissan! If you cant stand behind your vehicles then you should not be selling them! I am literally crying reading all of these complaints! It has definitely hit me that I am totally screwed!!!

Purchase two brand new Nissans back in 2013, a Nissan Pulsar and Nissan Qashqai, both with CVTs. Our Nissan Pulsar blew its transmission at 30,000 KLMS. Our Nissan Qashqai has blown 2 transmissions and now on its third, car has only done 75,000 KLMS! These transmissions are absolutely and utterly unreliable and I will (a) never purchase a Nissan vehicle and (b) never a vehicle with a CVT Transmission. On top of this here in Australia we dont get the 10 year warranty or any other transmission warranty on top of our standard vehicle warranty. At least you guys in the US get an additional warranty but from the reviews online its only a security blanket, it doesnt solve the problems at hand with these transmissions. Dont buy a Nissan vehicle! Their techs are utterly useless and they do not stand behind their product!

I bought a 2014 Pathfinder in January of 2017. It was just out of warranty by mileage and the ABS computer went bad. The Nissan Dealership here locally was very nice and helpful and had never seen this issue before. It is unsafe and unreliable because the speedometer, gas gauge, and the 4-wheel drive do not work when experiencing this issue (I live in a snowy area so I do need the 4 wheel drive to turn on when those conditions are present). I would also say that 36k miles and one prior owner with a clean CarFax Report is a bit early for the ABS computer to fail and so I do believe this is a manufacturing issue with the unit failing prematurely.I completely understand that once the car is out of warranty, Nissan does not have to do anything to help out. However, given the nature of the issue and how recently the car was out of warranty (and only by mileage), I would have thought they would be able to help out in some way. For instance, taking care of the labor or even just giving the dealership a direct purchase cost on the part without a markup. The part is $1400 and the labor is $600. I would have been happy with a minor discount on the repair. However, as other reviewers have commented, the consumer affairs department of Nissan exists to read you the warranty terms. This is my first Nissan, which I bought because of the name and associated reliability, but I will never buy another Nissan after this experience.

Nissan complaint: Where do I begin, well let me start by saying the car buy
Nissan complaint: Where do I begin, well let me start by saying the car buying experience was amazing and the sales representative was amazing. Fast forward 71 days and the nightmare begins. So I bought a brand new 2021 Nissan Rogue in January and of course it was still cold. However as it warmed up and I needed to use the AC I realized the drivers vents would blow warm or room temperature air while the passenger side would be freezing cold even when set to the exact same temperature. I called Jack Ingram Nissan in Montgomery Alabama where I purchased my car and advised them of the issue. They set an appointment for the following week for me to bring the car in to be fixed, or so I thought. When I dropped my car off I was told even though I brought in an SUV they would only be able to put me in an Altima, though I was disappointed I went with it. To my surprise when I reached the vehicle I was to use it was filthy! Being that we are still in the midst of a pandemic I went back in and refused to take that vehicle. They then Provided me with another Altima. The next day I called 3 or 4 times to see what had been done to fix my car. Finally around 3 pm I received a call saying they could not detect any issue and that I could come and pick my car up. I was told that the temperature shown was not per vent, but the temperature in the entire car. This didnt seem accurate because one of the selling points was the dual climate control, but it was a Friday and due to the size of my family I couldnt afford to be in the loaner car any longer. So I went and picked up my car... I tried to chalk it up to maybe the car didnt do for them what it had been doing with me. When I pulled out of the dealership to head home, the drivers side was blowing heat to the point that I began to sweat. I made a U-turn and went back to the dealership and demanded to speak with someone to show them what was happening and see another vehicle like mine do the same. After waiting 15 minutes, the representative came out and witnessed exactly what I was referring to and to my surprise he seemed surprised which makes me feel like my car hadnt even been looked at in the 2 days it had been there. We then sat in another Rogue to see if this is indeed normal and what do you know the other car did NOT have the same issue proving that this is not normal for this make and model. They sent another representative out who appeared to be a manager and he proceeded to insult my intelligence by insisting it was operating as it should. I told them both that I was not satisfied and I would like it fixed. His solution was for me to turn my driver temp down and passenger temp up which made both sides blow the same temperature. I advised them that that was only a bandage not a solution. I bought a new car and I expected it to operate as it should. The representative then offered to reopen the ticket and assured me that he would be reaching out to me with a solution by Wednesday. WELL TODAY IS THURSDAY! No word from Jack Ingram. I called Nissan yesterday evening and filed a consumer complaint, the rep called today and said that Jack Ingram would be calling me within the hour to set up a time for my car to be reevaluated. That was 4 hours ago. At this point I dont know what to do, but I do know that I will never do business with Nissan and definitely not with Jack Ingram if they do not resolve this matter! On a lighter note the sales team there is amazing and after speaking with the sales manager. I will hopefully be able to have a SUV as a loaner whenever the service team can get it together and FIX MY CAR!

2013 Nissan Rogue CVT transmission, The vehicle loses power due to transmission overheating. Going at a rate of speed over 60 MPH on the interstate in heavy traffic and completely losing power is very dangerous. I have contacted Nissan consumer affairs with this complaint and after a review they are willing to cover 50% of the cost to place a cooler in the transmission. I did purchase the extended warranty for this vehicle but because this is not an original part the warranty will not cover the cooler. Nissan has had many many complaints with this same issue but still only willing to cover half the cost to repair. If Nissan requires this additional part on the vehicle in order for the valve cover to be replaced because of the overheating, then they should cover 100% of the cost!!! I am very dissatisfied with this vehicle and Nissan. This is a very dangerous problem with the vehicle. Its a problem Nissan should fix especially with all the complaints they are getting with this particular CVT transmission. I am very shocked and disappointed with Nissan for not fixing this problem.

I bought a Nissan 370Z convertible 15 months ago with very low mileage. Just beyond the 36,000 mile mark, my convertible top experienced issues which needed to be addressed right away. I brought the car into the shop, they diagnosed the problem, and ordered the part which took 30 days to arrive and install. It was discovered that a second part was also faulty and needed fixing. Five weeks later, I am out $1,750 and still have no working part as we are waiting for the second part to arrive and be installed. The mechanic who was put in numerous hours trying to navigate through the issues flat out told me on three separate occasions to get rid of my Nissan vehicle as the craftsmanship is very poor and the electrical system is backwards (he was referring to Nissan in general). He also says working with Nissan Japan when ordering parts is a pretty painful experience as well - parts take forever. I can attest to this. So in short, I paid $12,000 more for a vehicle with a convertible top that barely made it past its warranty. This is the second Nissan convertible I have owned, and both had expensive electrical and convertible top issues. I can comfortably say that Nissan is the Walmart of the automotive industry. I look forward to turning away as many potential Nissan customers as possible in the future since so many ask me about my car.

I would not have given a one star had the option been available. This is the second vehicle I have financed through NMAC. I had a horrible experience the first time in 2000 and decided to give it another shot. We purchased a 2012 Altima Coupe in April 2012. I have constantly had to call and argue with the reps simply to get my information. I was told I would receive in the mail documents regarding my payments and account information through NMAC. I never received any of this. It is December and I still have only been able to get info regarding my account by calling myself. No communication whatsoever has ever made it to me through the mail. I have requested it many many times for various reasons and still theres nothing. Also, their online payment system is a complete joke. More often than not, it will not accept my card info and I will have to retry at a later date. This has caused my payments to be late more than once. I also never receive my statement notifications by email that the reps have promised would be sent. Also, my rate on my contract from the dealership shows 0.9% and when I look at my account information through Nissan Finance Manager, it shows a 2.9% rate. I wonder who/when that was authorized.I will never finance through NMAC again, possibly never own another Nissan vehicle.

I have always joked when looking at other cars that I am a Nissan girl. The joke is over and I will NEVER, EVER purchase a Nissan vehicle again... EVER!!! We purchased the vehicle from our local dealership. They found the vehicle I wanted at nearby dealership (it was being driven/demod by the GM of that dealership), so they did a dealer trade. When I went in to sign papers and take possession of the vehicle (on a Wednesday), I noticed that the headphones, remote control, and owner manuals had not been put back in the vehicle by the GM. The next day, I noticed that the front end was out of alignment and called the service dept. to set up a time for them to fix it. I also noticed that the back of the 2nd row headrests were beat up (pieces of the hard plastic were dug out like something had been hauled in the back and dug into the headrests). The power lift gate would open, but when you pushed the button to close it - it would go down and just before it shut, it would pop back up like something was in the way. We noticed that when the lift gate was closed - on the left side, the space between the lift gate and the body was normal, but on the right side there was a big gap. It was a noticeable gap and big enough that my husband could easily put his fingers into the space. When we took the vehicle to the dealership we showed them the gap. The service manager made calls to Nissan, but was told the gap was within their specs of being ok, and since it wasnt leaking then basically we were told to deal with it. A few days later, we had a pretty lengthy thunderstorm. A day or so later, I opened the lift gate to my vehicle and inside the gap - I cleaned out a handful of wet leaves and debris. In less than ONE month of owning the vehicle, the issues we have discovered are: Lift gate gap, shotty body work on the roof where it meets the lift gate, beat up 2nd row headrests, GPS outdated - but Nissan will sell me the update for an additional $130, driver side seat belt will not release - has to be pushed repeatedly to unlatch, the front and rear air do not work independently from each other as they are suppose to, and the power window control panel on the driver door is sticking up out of the door, instead of being flush with the door (the passenger side is fine). I contacted (800)-Nissan1 and they opened a case. I told them that this particular vehicle was janky and had too many little issues for a $50,000 brand new, top of the line (according to them) vehicle. I told them I did not want my money back, I just wanted the same car without all the problems. I received a call today, from Justin with Nissan, to notify me that my vehicle was not eligible for a buy back. Basically - the lift gate gap was within their specs of acceptable. I was told the car was still under warranty, put it in the shop, and let them fix it. So... my brand new, top of the line vehicle has to go into the shop a month after purchasing it for multiple issues. This is what Nissan considers a quality product and great customer service!

We WERE a Nissan family. 2012 Rouge on second transmission. First faulty transmission caught fire after Service Manager assured us the car was fine to drive. This left my 18 year old daughter on the side of a highway with a flaming car. 2015 Rouge CVT needed to be replaced. Sounded like the wheels were going to fall off. 2012 Versa transmission replaced the same week as the 2012 Rouge. Researched the Versa and it had air bags that were recalled and I was never notified. Called Corporate Nissan and spoke with two separate representatives that could have cared less that for safety or reliability. My daughters were both dismissed by service managers that told them their cars were fine. I am a single mom who has purchased 8 Nissans over the past 25 years. After speaking with Corporate Nissan three cars are going to be traded very quickly!!! BUY ELSEWHERE.

I purchased a CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) vehicle from a local dealership. 12 hours after I got the vehicle home it absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. This is not hyperbole: the garage smelled like an ashtray the second morning because the car sat in there overnight, windows up. The entire garage. In the 167 point Nissan Certified Pre-Owned inspection smoke odor is called out as being checked for and Meets Standard, Replaced, or Repaired/Adjusted (the check for my car indicated Meets Standard). I struggled with the dealership to get it fixed but they stonewalled me past casually trying to fix smoke odor that all the advice online says cant be removed with the methods they employed (ozonator and bombs). From Nissans website: Can all Nissans be Certified? No. Most important, pass a comprehensive 167 point Nissan Certified Pre-Owned inspection. When I called Nissan corporate about being sold a car that was obliviously doctored just enough to not exhibit smoke smells during the sales process but is now undrivable because of the toxic smells inside the vehicle I was told that this is between me and the dealership that sold me the car. I asked them directly: So you are telling me that Nissan made a CPO promise to me that included no smoke odors and is now unwilling to stand by their customer. The response was, and I kid you not, was Yes. Furthermore, there was no concern or followup that the dealership was playing fast and loose with the inspections and the how the dealership dishonestly presents CPO cars for sale. Based on this experience I will never buy from Nissan again. Its all promises until they get a sale, then you are on your own. I wont be doing any more business with a corporation like that.

I purchased a 2008 Nissan Altima with 17K miles in 2009. The car has been outstanding with the exception of the transmission. It was replaced without cost and with an extended warranty by my Nissan dealer at about 21K miles. Other than that, I have had zero problems with the vehicle and it now has 82K miles. Great mileage and very comfortable. I am thinking about purchasing a new 2015 but keeping my 2008 for my daughter. Also cant give enough praises to the service department at Nissan of Murfreesboro, TN.

BUYER BEWARE!!! DEALER IS SELLING BAD WARRANTIES! Loopholes in warranty fine print allows warranty company to deny claims on covered parts and Nissan to further profit off of mechanical failures. I took my Pathfinder in for warranty work on my covered transmission. They claim the warranty was denied and said it would be $5000 to repair. Little did I know that their warranties are through a shady warranty company that no legitimate business would partner with. In addition the 2000-2012 Nissan Pathfinder is known for radiator failure that contaminates transmissions, causing transmission failure. There have been numerous class action lawsuits against Nissan, but no recalls were ever issued. #NEVERNISSAN

I found the recall and the campaign on the highway safety commissions website for the 2005 Nissan Armada fuel sending units. On 11/7/2014 my husband was driving my 2005 Nissan Armada at 3 AM on the busy 5 Lane Highway in Washington state at 65 mph. My SUV came to a abrupt stop in the middle of the highway. It would not turn over to start. The hazard lights would not come on. The state police put out 15 road flares and still they were both almost hit by three trucks and two cars. My Armada showed I had a quarter of a tank of gas. I had to have my sub towed to Campbell Nelson Nissan dealership in Edmonds Washington. Robert, the service manager called and advised me that the fuel sending unit was bad. It shows I have a quarter of a tank but I was really out of gas. John, the manager told me thats what he suspected was wrong with my SUV. John also advised me that there was a warranty on the fuel sending unit but it was only for 72,000 miles but at the least I feel that I should not get stuck with the bill because I bought the car used and had no clue that they had this issue or that it would almost cause the life of my husband or an innocent state trooper. I feel Nissan should open the recall and extend the warranty for the 2005 Nissan Armada fuel sending units. I know only certain 2005 models were in the campaign and recalled but this is what was wrong with my Armada the same thing Nissan campaign for. I want Nissan to cover the bill. Its an unsafe issue and if you guys do not reopen this recall Nissan is going to get somebody killed. If I have to take it to my Lawyer then so be it.

I purchased a 2011 SL Nissan Juke a little over 2 years ago. I chose the Nissan Juke because, at the time, it seemed like the perfect balance of practicality and aesthetics for a car under 25k. About 1 year into ownership, the car began to lose its ability to retain a battery charge. Several times the car needed a jump start. I took it into the dealership, and was told the battery was faulty -- hard to believe for a car just 1-year off the lot. I changed the batter per the dealerships recommendations. At about 68,000 miles, I take in the car to get checked out because of a rattling noise coming from the engine. A diagnostic was run, and I was told that I would be looking at a $2500 repair to replace and/or repair the timing chain, which, according to the tech, I should do sometime soon. At 70,000 miles, the vehicle completely stalls out while driving and eventually decelerates to a complete stop. The car no longer started, and I had to have it towed to the dealership. Now, the Nissan dealership is telling me that I need a completely new engine because there was damage caused by the timing-chain, which end up costing nearly $10,000. Ive since then learned that there are countless other Nissan Juke owners that have had the exact same thing happen to them. Not surprisingly, a class-action lawsuit has been filed against Nissan on the exact same issue. I need information regarding becoming a part of a class-action lawsuit filed against Nissan for failure to disclose knowledge about a faulty timing-chain design, and subsequent failure to issue a necessary recall on the model to repair the defect.

CVT failed on our 2012 Versa with 67000 miles. Nissan will not provide any assistance with the $4000 failure. Apparently they were losing too much money repairing these transmissions and decided to turn the problem into a profit center. Now they are having problems sourcing a replacement! Chrysler used the same Jatco transmission in three of their vehicles, but discontinued use because of the problems. I didnt realize at the time but my Jeep patriot company vehicle which also had a transmission failure uses the same transmission. Two rules for buying a car: 1. Make sure its not a Nissan 2. Dont buy if it has a Jatco transmission.

2011 Nissan Juke: So far I have had to turn my car in for 2 recalls. One was the engine and the second was the timing belt. The second time they had to fix my car. They told me they would be keeping it for 4-5 days! This wouldnt be a problem if they would give me a loaner car. However, they dont give out loaners unless you have 70,000 miles or less on your car. What? Why? My car only has 80,000. The only reason my car is in the shop is because of their faulty manufacturing and recall. The Town Center Nissan in Kennesaw, GA serviceman said I would have to call Nissan headquarters in order to get the rule overruled. OK... whatever.I call them and then it takes a day for them to get back to me to say they refuse to help me because I didnt buy the extended service warranty. Well, if I would have known what a piece of crap car and company I was buying from (I wouldnt have made the purchase) I would have bought the warranty. I asked kindly for them to make an exception because I am a good customer AND I am right at the line. Still they refused and had no other response except to say, You didnt buy the extended service warranty. What are you trying to do Nissan? NO Customer Service? Teach me a lesson about buying extended service warranties?! Its not enough to be a customer who spent 18,000 on your faulty product?! This will be the LAST Nissan I own.

To say Im disgusted would be an understatement. On Saturday when I tried to leave my house my car was humming and driving slow so I assumed the oil was low. I went to have the oil changed and it drove fine for the rest of the day. Monday it started acting up again so I added transmission fluid and did some research online and noticed that Nissan was extending the warranty on the CVT transmission (obviously others were having issues). Im being told now by Nissan that my warranty is VOID since I added transmission fluid. Really?? First of all no one even contacted me. I had to find out when the car starting acting up by doing my own research. If you are shopping for a car DO NOT get a NISSAN. The way they treated me today was horrible. Nissan Consumer Fair showed the worst customer service today, but I guess they carry themselves the way Nissan does.

I have recently had a terrible experience with my 2009 Nissan Rouge CVT transmission and working with the Nissan customer service you should know about. This issue is not new to Nissan. In fact Nissan extended the warranty to 10 years 120,000 miles. However, they never notified customers about this issue until they start to having a problem. Our problem came at 123,000 miles. If you go to Nissans website http://www.nissanassist.com/ProgramDetails.php?menu=2they state that they will provide financial assistance for those customers who may be beyond the warranty period. Nissan just called to tell me that they will not provide any assistance. What a crock. I came to find out that many people who own a 2009 -2013 Rouge or Murano will have issues with their CVT transmission. For those who own Rouge or Murano made between 2009-2013 have your transmission checked out before the warranty expires.

I leased a 2012 Altima SL and made all the payments on time. I turned the car in at a Nissan dealership and paid all balances due. Several months after that apparently NMAC decide there was a balance due of $127 and never contacted me (email, phone, postal mail). Since I was unaware of the situation the amount went past due and I got a 30 day late notice on my otherwise perfect (770+) credit rating. Thats how I found out they felt I owed them some stupidly small amount. Absolutely horrendous customer service and I will never deal with them again. Its a shame because I enjoyed the car but their financing arm is absolutely horrible to deal with every time I have had to call them or otherwise.

I had it checked out and it was the transmission. I verified with the Nissan dealer and they confirmed it was the transmission. When calling to make the appointment and telling the problem that was experienced the service guy expected it to be the transmission. Seems that it is a common problem with the 2013 model. On March 12, 2012, I went to pickup my newly leased Nissan and found out that the plates on the lease car I was turning in could not be transferred to the new car because the registration had been canceled on 12/30/11 without my knowledge or permission. I had to pay for new plates. I called Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp (NMAC) and was told they knew nothing about my registration being canceled nor did my insurance company. After contacting RMV several times, I found out that my registration had been canceled online. They also told me that my plates had been returned. However, my plates were still on my car when I went to the dealership on March 12. How could they have been returned? I have also continued to pay my lease note and insurance on the car during the past three months without any knowledge of registration cancellation. I spoke with the assistant registrar of RMV in Massachusetts today, 3/15/12, and she told me that the IT department at RMV found that it had been canceled via email by a Loida ** from the Tax and Registration Department at NMAC on 12/30/11. This morning I called NMAC and they told me they now have a note regarding my cancellation that was posted on March 13th. However, they previously had no record and knew nothing about the cancellation and told me they have nothing to do with cancellation and to call the RMV. Now, the story has changed. I drove around for three months with a registration certificate in my car, which I didnt even know was invalid or cancelled. What if I had been in a serious accident? I am also required to pay excise taxes in Massachusetts. I received a letter from Nissan in December that they would be including it in my lease bill in the upcoming months as they usually do. I contacted the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts on 3/12/12 and found that they had not received notification to send Nissan a bill from the RMV, which indicated that something occurred like my registration being canceled. Now, I am afraid that this would happen anytime and frequently. I would then have to pay for new registration, new plates and explain and prove to RMV that it’s not me and why its being canceled. This is a major problem for me. I have contacted the governors office, Attorney General, RMV and Nissan looking for help. I need assistance.

Bought brand new 2015 Nissan Rouge. My tail light has been repaired 3 times due to condensation and currently not fix costing me gas, time, and unwanted mileage. Each time I have to take it to the Nissan Dealership, currently around 357 miles put on going back and forth. File complaint asking them buy back suv or replace SUV, and they said no and set up appointment number 4. If I wanted a problem SUV I would of bought a used one, since lemon law requires 4 attempts to fix it. I cant do anything but put up with the lies they have told me, therefore for all the stress, time, gas, money and mileage I give Nissan a negative 0. Will never buy another Nissan. I have received one statement in the 5 months I have now had the car. I have not received one email, correspondence, or phone call from these people. And then on 2/1/13, I made another payment which was supposed to be on 1/31/13 and then 2 payments in February as well on 2/23/13. They suck as a car manufacturer and as a lien holder. There was a reason that I had never purchased a car from them after 10 years ago and now I know why. I had leased a car with them for 7 months and got rid of it and now, after 5 months, I am ready to get rid of this car too. The fact is that it is a piece of crap and so is the company. They suck and they need to fix their error on my credit report as because of their screw up, my credit score dropped 40 points and now I will lose the new home I am buying.

2009 Nissan Altima Transmission - I just received a call from an Ashley and she said at this time Nissan couldnt offer any type of reimbursement for my transmission. Im just curious to know if they even took into consideration that I took my car to Nissan to have it looked at because the transmission was going into safe mode when it would get hot. We put it on the machine and there were no codes that came up on the transmission so I went ahead and had them change the fluids and filter and whatever it is they do for a transmission service. I leave the dealership and I smell fluid but thought nothing of it. I drive my 60 miles home and the next morning my husband drives his 48 miles to work. When I go outside to take my daughter to school there is a big puddle of transmission fluid in my drive way. I call my husband and when he gets to car after work sure enough there is a puddle of transmission fluid under my car.I called the dealership and they waited till 6 oclock for my husband to drive the car another 50+ miles to see what was going on. Turns out a hose had split and leaked out the transmission fluid. They fixed the hose put transmission fluid back into my car and washed out from underneath car because it was covered in fluid. Then almost 2 months later my cars transmission has all these codes and I need a new one. I didnt ask for the full amount I just feel like Nissan should provide the customer service that they say they will. Theres been numerous problems with the 2009 Nissan and thats why they extended the transmission warranty and the steering lock box which went out in my car and left me and my daughter stranded and a tow bill. I just feel like Im being done unfair and put in a financial situation for servicing my car. I mean would the transmission of went out if it didnt leak out the fluid after the service? I tried calling her back and even left a voicemail but she still hasnt returned my call. I also read the letter online where Kevin Martin said that they were trying to make the repair affordable if car was out of warranty. I just feel Ive been done unfair considering the incident with my car after the transmission service.

2008 Nissan Versa CVT Problem. I am crying right now. I do not know what I am going to do. The other day I was driving and took my girlfriend home and the gas light came on. It was late and me being a woman decided to get gas the next day. So I did but when I was half way out of my apts the gas pedal quit working. I thought I had run out of gas so I had to go about 5 miles an hour over across the street to the gas station. Put gas in it and it drove fine and to the grocery store right up the street. On my way home it ran fine and when I turned into my apts the gas pedal quit working again. I have it in a shop for about two weeks and they tell me they cannot figure out what is wrong. They believe it is the CVT. They said it was just a fluke that about me being low of gas that this doesnt have anything to do with it. That it is getting plenty of gas but the transmission isnt receiving the information or something like that.I just got online and have seen over 800 different complaints about the CVT on these Nissans. My life is over if it is the transmission. I am on disability and 65 years old. I barely make it as it is. If I do not have a vehicle I cannot go to my doctor or to the grocery store. I have no family. God what am I gonna do. Does anyone know where I can file a complaint at least. So maybe in the future people will see it and not buy a Nissan and be stuck walking like me. Why doesnt Nissan make good on these. Why??

I have 2007 Altima and at 75k miles the transmission went out. Nissan gave a courtesy warranty extensions for Nissan Altima due to the fact they knew their CVT transmission were crap. I took my car to Torre Nissan in La Quinta Ca where they replaced the transmission because of the warranty. 56k miles later the transmission went out again. This time I called consumer affairs Nissan and dealt with an extremely rude Bernice. Basically when I called them out on faulty products she turned it on me. That I should have gotten my oil changes with Nissan to prevent this. Well, I got my oil changes done at a licensed mechanic shop and oil changes have nothing to do with my transmission. Ok so I took my car to a different dealership. I explained to them this will be the 3rd transmission. The guy told me they will inspect the car and look into finding out why the transmission keeps going out. I received a call 3 hours later letting me know it was indeed the transmission (ouch $3300) but they were able to locate the recurring problem. The transmission was overheating as the cooling system wasnt suffice, basically faulty design. This was something they have been seeing for sometime now. They suggested adding an additional cooling component as they have seen nothing but success by doing this. No more overheating from what they have experienced. Ok so an additional $387 to extend the life of this transmission. So naturally I contact Nissan consumer affairs to report the new findings as had the lasts dealership looked into it. We could have fixed it then to prevent this costly repair. Well once again I got a big screw you from Nissan and the same repeated answer, Unfortunately Nissan will not be able to provide financial assistance on out of warranty repairs. No matter what I said Erick repeated that same statement. So I am screwed because one of their dealerships didnt do their job and look into what caused the transmission failure because it was under warranty. So as a consumer I get screwed. But at first their excuse was I didnt get services at Nissan and now once I provide them with the information that I got the transmission through their dealership it is cause I am 16k over the extended warranty. All I was asking for was a little help. Screw Nissan and I will NEVER buy Nissan again.
