I am a very unhappy customer after purchasing a New 2016 Nissan Rogue. I have a claim into Nissan Consumer Affair. My brand new vehicle is sitting at the car dealer where I purchased my car, with a loud front end knocking noise. After being a Nissan consumer with a Nissan Altima never had a problem, always paid my car payment on time, and this is how I get treated as a customer. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER.

The Nissan Dealership in Greenville, NC sold me a used vehicle as is due to minor cosmetic defects (driver side mirror has plastic damage). The vehicle was bought on a Friday and the vehicle went into limp mode on a Monday. The vehicle was then driven to the Nissan dealership with the promise of a call the very next day or by the latest, Wednesday. No call was ever received. Wednesday evening I personally called the dealership but was told they were unable to locate the vehicle and would call me back in 20 minutes. No call was ever received. The next day, I called the dealership again and the person on the phone claimed that they believed they had just sold the vehicle I had just purchased and that they would call me back in 15 minutes when they had more information. Again, no call was received. Finally, Friday, I called again and they had found the vehicle. The car was immediately picked up and taken to a different dealership. This new dealership pulled the freeze frame data and was able to locate when/how long the check engine light had been on and that it had been repeatedly reset to clear the error. Issues replaced since purchase: replaced cylinders, replaced shock. Issues detected since purchase: broken tire pressure sensor, exhaust system detached from catalytic converter, in need of a new engine due to timing belt. Will absolutely NEVER buy from Nissan again. They were pushy on the sale and lacked any decency/communication after the purchase.

My son purchased a 2014 Nissan Altima with 36,000 miles on it. He has owned it for 2 weeks. He was suppose to have Powertrain warranty that went with vehicle till 2019. The CarFax said it was leased to private owner in 2014 till 2016 then sent to auction in New Jersey. In which another dealer purchased it. Then my son purchased the headache. The car had blue smoke coming out of exhaust so we took it to Nissan to look at. The service department said it was sludge in engine and the vehicle had no maintenance done at all. But Nissan wanted a pic of oil pan and valves before they would decline to have it repaired. My son paid 200 for this to be done then Nissan decline repair because of neglect. The Nissan dealership knew when vehicle was brought back from lease that no maintenance was done so they passed it along to auction so someone else could deal with it. Now son has car with no warranty.

Went to the local dealership twice for assistance in obtaining a nav update
Went to the local dealership twice for assistance in obtaining a nav update for my 2013 Pathfinder. Got bounced between the Head of Service and Parts multiple times and was finally told I guess you have to go online. Well after searching for about two hours I came across a Nissan page with a map update promising to be the latest and guaranteed to work on my vehicle. I placed that order. This was on a Friday morning. As I checked out and finalized the order I was redirected to none other than the main site for Nissan Nav updates that I had been searching for on the web for hours. Unfortunately, running my nav and vin showed that the order just placed was a three year old update. Finally found the correct update, ordered it and placed a call to customer service to cancel the first order. Sat on hold for an hour and got cut off. So I sent an email to customer service explaining the problem. No luck speaking to anyone Saturday when they stated they were open just another hour on hold, Monday evening sat on hold for an hour till someone picked up. Was helpful and said hed put me on hold for a few minutes and text instructions to return the first order on their dime when it arrived, and oh, by the way he said that one would NOT work in my vehicle. After about 3 minutes I got a fast busy, then a long squeal and then sat on hold in silence for another 45 minutes till I gave up. Now another email to customer service - their response was when it arrives call customer service - thanks but no thanks - Ive filed a complaint with Paypal which I used to pay the first order. Will try again tomorrow. I know for a FACT Toyota, Chevy, Ford, even Hyundai and Kia have customer service that is FAR superior to Nissan, this was the last thing I expected, God help me if I ever have a real problem. This will be my last Nissan. It is back to Toyota, Chevy or Ford for this man, Ive had them all, plus Hyundai and Kia all have better service and run just as good and have just as few, likely less problems and the body integrity on all of them is much better.

In August of 2010 I set up automatic payments for my newly purchased Nissan Rogue. All went smoothly for better than four years - then I get a call from Nissan Collections. The Nissan Collections agent informs me Im sixty days past due on my car payment and my response is, But Im signed up for automatic payments. I made full restitution immediately and was led to believe that the situation was not of my doing and that all would be corrected. Not so. Nissan attempted to blame my bank at first.Once I verified this wasnt true Nissan went into their standard defense mode - which is very well rehearsed. Nissan claims to have called me multiple times via their automated service, multiple times by an actual person, claimed to have left multiple voice-mail messages, and claimed to have left me at least one email regarding the ending of my automated payments. I did not receive any of what they claim - with the exception of the call I actually answered. My credit score went from 780 to just around 700 in the blink of an eye - and will cost me thousands over the life of the new mortgage Im applying for.Family, friends, and strangers will be sure to hear this story told over and over again. I want the world to know just how disappointed I am with this company. Correct your shamelessly faulty notification system and do right by loyal customers or you are doomed to fail. I do recall several apparently automated calls made to me around that time but there was nobody on the other end. After repeating hello several times I simply hung up. Is someone getting credit on a quota simply for dialing a number without answering it? Ill be contacting Comcast to see if they can do a search on this mystery email I supposedly received. Im paying off the last few month of my loan by check today. This will be the last Nissan I ever own.

I took my car to Nissan of Riverhead NY on 8-26-17. I brought it in for two new tires and a coolant flush. This job should have cost me about $450, instead I walked out paying $675. They overcharged me on every part and aspect of service. They broke not one but both of my tire TPMS sensors before telling me what they did. Then had the nerve to say it was my fault because of the metal tire valve stem caps Nissan put on years ago. They claimed giving me a coupon on my receipt and not charging me a fee made up for what they did. The coupon didnt even make up for how much they overcharged me for parts and service.Furthermore driving the car home it had a extreme vibration that it never had before and would require the brakes to be fixed on the car in under a few months to make it go away. Also the tires they sold me were the wrong ones and so badly installed that they would leak constantly and eventually need to be replaced in under two years. Mavis confirmed that it was poor work that cause the premature failure of my brakes and tires. I have all the supporting receipts and videos to prove all this. This is a link to the video when you will hear the one mechanic discuss how bad the work on my car was and you will hear a customer service rep tell him to stop CSI my car and finding problems so they could cover up their terrible service and the damage they did to my car. https://youtu.be/IYTTbhw6taY.Also I met with the owner and he and his staff was unwilling to do anything but play a blame game. I contacted Nissan in the matter and they sided with him even though there are numerous complaints against several of his dealerships. I would not buy from him ever again and certainly I will never buy from Nissan again since they did nothing to solve the problem. I now own a Honda and could not be happier to be out of this nightmare - but the loss of thousands of dollars due to irresponsible businesses such as Nissan is still a painful experience no one should go through.

A brand new Nissan Rogue 2015, purchased two months ago, only being driven 1200 miles, suddenly broke down on the road. The power got shut down and unable to restart the car. My husband waited outside hoping someone would stop and help us jump start our car. Waited long time. Finally got help and successful recharge the car. After we drove 10 mins it broke down again. We had to ask someone to jump start our car again and pulled it off the street. The car shutdown itself after 5 mins.We called Nissan road service and they said they will come within a hour but we waited 5 hours for them. We were so anger because we cant leave the car there, its blocking someone elses car. 5 hours we waited, whole day was ruined. They kept lying to us saying they would come soon. We paid $1600 more on Nissan car dealership for the additional car service. I am still so angry. We couldnt go to work. So regret that we chose Nissan. The car is bad quality and the service is terrible.

The history my wife and I have with this van is as follows. We purchased the Nissan Quest new in May of 2011 trading in our 2008 Nissan Quest. We had no problems with (2011 Quest) it throughout the summer and into early fall. Then late October early November, it started to stall on us as we would drive down our driveway. We took it to the dealership Nov. 18, 2011 and they had replaced the fuel tank because the pick-up line to the front of the tank was poorly designed. We got it back Dec. 16, 2011 being told all is fine. It stalled out again New Years Eve as we drove down the same hill. Our gas tank showed we had 3/8 of a tank of gas. It would do this every time we were going down the hill with under a half tank of gas. Unable to start again until leveled out. Coasting with limited brakes and steering abilities with children in the car down a very steep and windy hill. We took it back to the shop on Jan. 6, 2012 and it has been there since. Nissan had an engineer out to look at the van to make sure they (Nissan mechanics) had installed the new one properly. Engineers discovered a whole new design would be necessary, but that we could drive it as long as we had over a half tank of gas. We refused as it was a safety concern with our large family. They agreed and paid for our rental car and a month payment to accommodate us. After they had it for over a month with still no fix, we decided to file lemon law on it.

Buyers beware! I am so extremely disappointed and frustrated with this company who refuses to help their customers in order to make some extra money in their pocket. They have unethical billing practices. I not only leased two vehicles from them but have only been a customer for less than 2 months and regret ever going into business with them. I have been on the phone with so many of their reps and supervisors, people feeding me different ** and after more time, stress and headache, never getting to an actual solution, but rather the way they would have it, money for them and an unhappy customer. This company is known for their terrible billing practices. Even the Mass Turnpike knew I had a Nissan without me giving any personal account information because this is what Nissan does. Thats a good reputation you’ve built for yourself Nissan. I hope I can help the next potential buyer so that when they read this, they go get a Honda instead. Trust me, you will regret getting into business with this company. I am seriously looking into getting a lawyer about this because this is just wrong. I made it so easy for them to resolve the issue, but they keep coming back with ridiculous reasons for why they cannot do that. If I was with another dealer, this would not even be an issue I would have to be resolving.

I have had a Nissan Leaf for about 18 months. From the beginning, I thought that the brakes were not right (they are computer-controlled brakes). They would slip for about 1/2 second when I pressed them or sometimes during use. About 12 days ago, the car would not start and the computer told me that my foot was not on the brake, but it was! The computer could not sense that my foot was trying to press the brake (remember that the brakes are computer assisted). I took the car into the dealership and they have had it for 12 days, and still they and Nissan USA have no idea what the problem is. They have tried rebooting the computer but it still does not work. This is an obvious safety issue (brakes not working) and inconvenience (not being able to start or use the car), and it seems like the local Nissan dealership and Nissan USA cannot work together to get this resolved!

After reading all the poor reviews on NMAC, it made me so afraid that I was thinking about trading in the Nissan I bought yesterday for a Honda or Toyota! The complaints seemed to say NMAC is eager to ruin Nissan customers credit, wants Nissan customers to pay for NMACs general incompetency, refuses to correct their own mistakes, and employs illegal or dishonest business methods. Thank you all for posting. We, who finance through NMAC, will need to be extra careful and not to expect decent business dealing from NMAC. We should document everything in case some guy from an attorney group actually experienced NMAC ways and wanted to start something against the big guy for their arbitrary and wrongdoing against customers. My experience at the dealership finance dept for NMAC did not go well because the guy did not explain the finance at all. When asked, he just said it is zero percent at 36 months; pointing at the monthly payment and read the inserted terms off a printed contract. He hurried out a lot of paperwork and wanted me to sign off on each of them. The consumer protection law should have required the finance person to explain in detail on what finance rate and duration of the loan, and if the rate will be changed. The consumer will then sign off acknowledgement by writing in essence the interest rate, length of loan, fixed or variable rates, terms on possible penalties, and anything that may increase the cost of the loan. That is more real of a protection than to have consumer sign acknowledgement papers that basically is to protect the finance company.Lets hope Nissan will change and correct NMACs ways to reflect Nissan as a company it wanted to build up to. Lets hope that NMAC is not out to get Nissan buyers who finance through them. If NMAC is that bad as reviewed and people are paying more than they agreed to, why is NMAC and Nissan still allowed to continue their obviously wrong practice without consumers joining forces to protest?

There is a manufacturers defect with certain 2009 Nissan models. Nissan is aware of the issue, but we are being forced to pay for the repair. The cost of the repair will be 1100 dollars, not including what we paid to have the car towed to the dealership. Again, this is not due to normal wear and tear. Our car was in perfectly good condition until the moment it simply stopped working. When I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs to report the problem, I was also made aware that the reason we never heard of the problem was that they had the previous owner, Michael something, listed rather than us. So the mailing may have gone to him, not us. We purchased the car from Nissan of Woburn as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. How is that possible?By the time I spoke with the second individual from Nissan, our information was updated and she claimed Nissan cannot guarantee that recall information is mailed to the correct owner. What?? Hopefully someone who might have a life threatening recall issue doesnt miss that mailing, huh, Nissan? I certainly receive plenty of junk mail from Nissan that seems to arrive without delay.Nissan is aware of this MANUFACTURERS DEFECT and the woman I spoke with, in a condescending and apathetic manner, said they will not pay for the repair despite it not being due to normal wear and tear and that there is nothing they can do at this time. Consumer beware. This demonstrates a lack of integrity in their car making as well as their responsibility to the consumer.

My husband and I leased a Nissan Rogue as a second car for him to drive back and forth to dialysis. We choose Nissan because of a very good lease program available to us. This was our first experience with a Nissan vehicle but not a lease program. 14 months in the lease, my husband passed. I called Nissan numerous time to work out a deal to get released from the Nissan and lease program. The penalty to get out of the lease is full payment of the lease minus one payment. Much to my surprise there is no death penalty in the lease agreement and basically I am stuck with the car and lease. I explained my hardship on not needing 2 vehicles with no longer having my husbands income, no longer having a need for a second car, no longer needing to make vehicle insurance payments or license payments. Needless to say, how disappointed I am with Nissan to not honor a death of a spouse or hardship. I have been very vocal on my disappointment of Nissans treatment and their lack of sympathy of my husbands passing. This was my first and last time I will ever purchase a Nissan vehicle.

I own a 2009 Nissan Rogue and my transmission just went out. I understand completely that a vehicle is a vehicle and all vehicles will have problems every now and then. What I dont understand is why the heck is Nissan still marketing their vehicles with the CVT transmissions? I know a lot of people who owned a Altima, Maxima, Murano and I asked the question of why did you guys get rid of your vehicles? Their responses were they started to hear grinding noises coming from the transmission and the transmission would idle past 2k rpms at a complete stop and once they take off the transmission would change gears so hard that it felt like they were being rear ended and so they didnt trust the CVT transmission and got rid of their vehicle before any major mechanical issues occurred. Three weeks ago I began experiencing the same problem and Sunday June 14th I went to turn into the grocery store parking lot and tried to give it a little more gas and all it did was idle and then immediately my service engine light kept flashing. I had the vehicle towed to a Nissan dealership and it was confirmed my transmission went out and to top it off they are non repairable. So not only do I not have a vehicle but I am also making a very decent payment on the vehicle and my warranty has expired. To everyone out there looking to purchase a Nissan. I highly recommend that you do not buy their products until they discontinue the CVT transmissions. If youre interested in how Nissan vehicles look rather than the quality of the vehicle then have at it. Trust me when I say you will be glad you didnt purchase any of their vehicles with the CVT transmission. I only wish I wouldve done my homework before purchasing my vehicle.

I will never buy a Nissan again! I own a Nissan Rogue and my car stopped working while I was on the freeway while my daughters were in the car. I found out it was my transmission (CVT) but Nissan refused to replace it since I was 1,700 miles outside of the warranty. There was no indication there was even an issue or that I should take my car in; which would have saved me thousands of dollars, prevented being without a car for over a week, and putting me and my family in grave danger. It is extremely upsetting and disheartening that Nissan cares so little for their loyal customers.

I bought a 1989 Nissan Hard body pickup (D21) from a friend. The DMV (Riverside, California) allowed me to register it but said I must send a certified letter to Nissan Corporation to obtain the Title. So I sent Nissan a certified letter requesting a title and they sent it back to me without even opening the letter. Then the DMV said that I needed to buy a bond and they (the DMV) would make me a new Title. So I bought a bond and gave it to the DMV. Then I received a letter from the DMV from Sacramento, California stating that I would still need to contact Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation to obtain a Title. My friend paid this truck off back in 1994. There is no reason that I know of for Nissan to withhold the Title. I cannot get in touch with anyone from the company. The dealership wasn’t the best to deal with but the fact that Nissan itself is selling cars that it is knowingly putting out there that the transmissions aren’t going to work or last for even the life of a loan is absolutely pathetic as the transmission has now went out in my 2016 Nissan Sentra and I still owe over 15,000 on the car. I have no warranties to help me. It’s not part of the lemon law. Why? I don’t know. It’s built the same year those transmissions where nobody can explain to me why it’s not part of the lemon law and what makes it even worse Is one we were being sold the car. That’s all they sold was the transmission and how this new transmission was going to revolutionize the industry. I wouldn’t fill that shift, my fuel economy would go up etc. etc. and from day one it’s been nothing but a nightmare. The dealership nor Nissan has been willing to help me. I had previously owned Nissan’s and got 300,000 miles out of them that’s why I came back to you guys after this purchase. I will never even look at another Nissan again regardless of maker model.

Theyve been giving me the runaround and double talk for weeks, just to issue me a simple compliance letter. They dont even know their own rules or whats on their own website. They try to get you off the phone by referring you to DOT. Frustrating! My problem is still not resolved. Im going to file a formal complaint.

For the last 2 years or so my 2015 Nissan Rogue SV has not been sensing my key fob when its in the vehicle. It happens with both of the key fobs. This occurs intermittently but more often than not. The vehicle has more than 36000 miles so now its out of warranty. I cannot be the only owner complaining of this issue. Sometimes it takes me 10 minutes or so just to start my car because the vehicle thinks I dont have the key fob with me.

Nissan of Duarte - I brought in my car to get my USB port checked and strange noises coming from under the car. When I went to pick up my car, I found a long crack in the windshield. I left the car for a week to get the windshield replaced. When I picked up my car the following week, I was really disappointed. There was a scratch on the windshield by the drivers side. The glass is not OEM glass, much cheaper glass. When I play the radio, the sounds dont resonate as well as before. The seals around the windshield dont look like as good as it should be. The glass looked very dirty/dusty like it was an old windshield lying around. They did some things they believed would make the strange sounds go away, like tightened the emergency brakes and tightened the steering wheel. I absolutely dont like the changes and plus, the strange sound didnt go away. Worst yet, I found out that my seat is broken. It was not broken when I left my car for the windshield replacement. Overall, my experience has been horrible with Nissan and Nissan cars.

In March of 2008, we purchased a 2008 Nissan Armada from a Nissan dealer in Georgia. We were told by the finance man that we would be able to refinance when we made 6 months of on-time payments. Well, 6 months passed and when we called to refinance, we found out that the company doesnt refinance. We decided to just chalk it up and continue paying. Since the economy fell and a serious health issue in our family, we have been making payments but have been struggling. We receive several harassing calls every hour about a payment. We have explained the situation with the reps (as useless as they are) but they dont want to listen or are willing to help. Im on the verge of telling them to come get the car and shove it where the sun doesnt shine!

I believe the problem starts with Nissan in the first place. I honestly think that they feel they are too big for their britches. It is my opinion that the local Nissan trained dealership really doesnt care about the customer and refused to address issues that popped up in my particular case. To ignore the problem from my impression is to get rid of the customer. After dealing with them for 9 solid years they display a total lack of Customer Care. I think they only want the rich customers and if you are at the Altima level... Dont bother us!!! My immediate solution is to go directly... and test drive a KIA where the dealership treats you like a valued client and provides a Superior, Efficient and Reliable mode of transport.

Weve purchased our Nissan Primera 1.9 dci on June 29, 2007 in Hungary as a new car. Dealers Address: Nissan Balogh, H-4431, Nyregyhza, Lujza utca 19, Tel: +36 42 595 115, Fax: +36 42 595 114,). Our former car was a Nissan Primera, too .Last week we were going home by car with my two little sons when suddenly thick smoke came from every vent of the car. We could hardly breathe and my children were shocked. It was really frightening and the air bag alarm went on. Thanks to my composure I switched everything off and we left the car. I called a trailer as I didnt dare to restart the car. They took it to the Nissan service. It turned out that due to an electric circuit, all the wires got fire and they burnt down. I simply dont understand why the circuit breaker (fuse) did not work? The Hungarian Nissan service says that they cant give a proper explanation for this failure. My sons and my life were at risk. What if the fuel gets fire and the car explodes? We bought this car as a family car as we believed that a Nissan is a reliable and safe car for a family with kids. Now my cost would be about 300.000-400.000 HUF (1.000,-1.400, ). Im not able and not willing to pay that amount for the repair as I believe that it is a faulty construction. I want an explanation for the accident and a refund for my loss!

Well the issue has been fixed. It cost me $3000 for the co-pay which Nissan thought was a great deal because my vehicle had over 100,000 miles. The rest was covered by Nissan under what they call good will. Not really happy with the deal but have to take what you can get I guess. The sad part is this whole problem could have been avoided if Nissan would have done the right thing and issued a recall considering they knew about it the whole time. Bad customer service!

Purchased my first new vehicle, Nissan Frontier SV 4x4 Crew Cab. So far I have had 3 problems, Nissan has only covered one. I feel like instead of driving around in a new truck, I am driving a big, junk box now. Thanks so much for that feeling! No hole drilled for air conditioner drain. Water leaked all over the interior and blew out of every vent. Nissan fixed this. The paint on the rear wheel wells is literally falling off after 5,000 miles. After several frustrating attempts Nissan refuses to fix this, claiming it is environmental. The dealer even told me this is a design flaw that Nissan is not owning up to. The rear sonar now no longer works @ 8,000 miles. Nissan has basically told me No several times to the paint, claiming its environmental. I live on a normal street, happened at 5000 miles, none of the other cars on my street have this issue! I am at the end of my wits. I feel like not only do I not have a new car, but that Nissan stole $28,000.00 for me. If money were not an issue, Id dump this vehicle for a Chevy ASAP.

I experienced transmission problems with my 2009 Cube which has 70,000 miles on it, Nissan says it has an extended warranty on the transmission of 120,000. Not so! I have broken down 3 times on a major highway after the car will not shift out of high gear after driving 65 to 70 MPH. It then will crawl to a slow dangerous speed. I have paid for 3 $250.00 tows, missed my grandsons graduation and been stranded late at night for Nissan to tell me they can find nothing wrong with the car on their diagnostic machine. THEY REFUSE to recreate the problem on the road as they cannot spare the man power. This is not a safe car and I can no longer drive it and feel safe. Needless to say Nissan is more than willing to put my family in a life threatening position to save a buck! We called Customer Affairs several times and they tried to convince and remind the dealer, Courtesy Nissan of Tampa that the transmission was under warranty. No avail. I found my car in the back lot after they had it for 8 days. They were happy to charge me over three hundred dollars after my second tow to flush the transmission which did nothing. Pretty sure they did nothing to try and help me. Never in the time I owned the car did I get honest service at that dealership. I had tire sensors replaced a few times and gave up because they have never worked and spent many nervous rides thinking I had a flat. I will never buy from Nissan again and I warn others to do the same. They do not care about the safety of their customers.

I sent in a new request on December 19, 2019 and they still have not even acknowledged that my title will be released. They keep promising to call me with updates and have never received a return call. All I am being told is that the title is being processed. I have a buyer for my Rogue and each day that they delay is costing me money because I have to keep the car insured.I will never do business with Nissan leasing again and I suggest that if you are considering leasing a Nissan to use another leasing company. I first contacted NMAC on Feb 24th, 2014 about a deferral for my loan of my 2013 Nissan Sentra SR because I lost my job. My account # **. I was given a 2 month deferral on my loan that day. The original rep I spoke with said that I needed to sign a document and send it back for their records. I was asked to send the document back before March 4th or my account would be late and I would be assessed a late fee, which I had agreed to. I called back on the Feb 28th because I hadnt received the document yet and it was getting close to the deadline of the account being late and I didnt want to get a late fee. The rep I spoke to on the 28th said the document was sent on the 26th and I should receive it any day. I was also was told the whole process would take 2 days. The rep I spoke with said he was waiving the late fee because of this delay. I asked if the document could be faxed over to me to expedite the process. I was told an original signature was needed so I couldnt get it faxed. Finally on the 6th when I still hadnt received the paperwork, I asked again if the letter could be faxed. At that time I was given a fax number and was told a late fee would be assessed. When I told the rep on the 6th that my late fee was supposed to be waived, she told me the paperwork I was signing specifies I would be responsible for any late fees. I signed the paperwork and faxed it back and also mailed it on the 7th. Im writing this today because I just received the document on March 8th and the envelope was post marked March 3rd which means it wasnt sent out on the 26th like I was told and I was going to be late anyway because of the 2 days it was going to take to process and now there is a late of $22.00. I am requested the late fee be taken off the account effective immediately due to the lack of urgency on the part of NMAC. I am very disappointed with service I have received.

Bought my 2012 Rogue in April 2012. Its been a great car to me, love how it handles in the snow. Now in April 2017 and 72,000 miles later, I need a new transmission. Despite the fact that I did not buy the extended warranty, I should not have to replace a transmission this soon. Apparently there have been recalls regarding the CVT transmissions (Nissan is well aware of their problems) but my VIN was not included... Hmmm... I wonder why. Since it is out of warranty, I am not bringing it to a Nissan dealership for repair as they will only charge me more than my hometown garage. I am going to have the transmission replaced and then trade it in. Time to go back to buying American. Since I bought my Rogue I have recommended the car to so many people. Now I am sorry I did that. $4000 down the drain.

I purchased a 2011 Sentra with 72,000 miles on it for my daughter on May 2014. About 3 months of owning it, she calls me and tells me that the vehicle is losing power at about 55mph on the highway. I figured its probably a dirty fuel filter, so I called Autozone and they told me this vehicles fuel filter is in the tank with the fuel pump and doesnt get replaced. I took the vehicle to my mechanic and his scanner gave us code PO 745 pressure control solenoid malfunction. He told me to take it to the dealer because the vehicle was so new. The Nissan dealer told me that Nissan doesnt authorize them to repair transmissions, only exchange them for remanufactured ones. Then he runs my vin# and tells me that my car is not covered under the extended warranty from Nissan. They cover 2003 till 2010 and my car is 2011 and that I would have to pay to replace the transmission. Weve had the car one year and bought it with 72,000 miles and it currently has 80,500. Now Im stuck with this problem and the vehicle is not paid off yet. At this point I am running out of options. Please help.

I was involved in a serious accident which totaled my 2017 Murano (not my fault). I was injured, however, I notified the insurance company and GAP immediately. The insurance company totaled the Murano (which I knew they would). I notified Nissan financial within a few days and shut off auto pay. Within a few weeks I had to replace my car (went with Subaru this time, its much safer). Nissan received the check from the insurance company for $21000 about 3 weeks after the accident, Nissan is filing the GAP claim. However, Since they have not received the GAP payment within 30 days after I stopped payments on the Murano, Nissan finance hit my credit for late payment (even though they received $21000 from my insurance company before the 30 days late).Since I needed to replace Murano and I knew insurance and GAP would pay it off. Nissan does not care about circumstances (injured, needed a new car, etc...). They will not wait for the GAP payment. I made every payment on time until the accident happened. Nissan ruined my credit. Im still under Drs care and have not been cleared to go back to work, but Nissan does not care. All they have to do is put the late payment on the back end of the loan, but they wont do that. Shame on you Nissan, ethics are not your strong point.

The company I work for invested in a fleet of Nissan nv200 cargo vans. I happen to look after maintenance of these vehicles. After using these vehicles for some time weve come to realize it was the worst investment ever. Common issues weve seen at 70k or less. -Rear bearings wear out at~ 30-50ks. -Sliding doors are very hard to close, worst in cold weather. -Back door handle stuck open. (9 of company vans) -Vehicle struggles to move itself even when empty at high speeds. -Cvt transmission is more like a 2 gear tranny constantly shifting back and forth between overdrive (lowest gear) and high gear. -Advertised gas consumption can hardly be met. Nv200 burns a lot of gas considering its a very weak vehicle (average of 12.8 lt/100k). -Extremely non aerodynamic, wind really hurts its performance especially on high speeds 100+. (not fit for highway drives) -Windows start to get stuck at 1 year old.-Last but not least this vehicle is NOT built to handle any accidents. Two 2018s written off due to a fender bender.

I cant tell you how disappointed I am with Nissan Consumer Affairs regarding a problem we have experienced with our 2005 Nissan Murano. Im referring to Case ** in which they told us that our car needed a transfer case replacement. Although the Murano is 9 years old it only has 24,900 miles on it. Nissan has quoted me $3,200 to fix this problem. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs (a gentleman named Will) because I did not feel a transfer case should go out after only 24,900 miles on it, even though it may be 9 years old. He claims they looked into this issue and offered to pay a token $500 towards the $3,200 repair bill. This seems extremely low, and that Nissan feels no responsibility for the mechanical failure of their cars. When I asked what would cause a transfer case to go out, Will told me he did not know and maybe we did not drive it enough, which seemed ridiculous. He then told me I had 30 days to either use the $500 or lose it. I told him I really did not see any option here since the car can not be driven. He however said I did, we could just walk away from it and that some people with 180,000 to 200,000 mile choose to walk away versus pay for an expensive repair bill. I told him our car with 24,500 miles versus 200,000 was a big difference. He said it was his job to relay this statement. We have had several Nissan vehicles and until now I have been very happy with them, however after this experience, we will be hard pressed to say a good word about Nissan and any responsibility towards the reliability towards their cars. This is a faulty mechanical equipment problem, not a time issue. Its obvious No one at Nissan Consumer Affairs cares but after this experience, I will never purchase another Nissan vehicle, nor will I probably ever use their Service Dept again. Extremely disappointed in Nissan!!!

Financed a 2013 Altima SV. From the get-go I had signs that CVT transmission is bogus. Getting onto the highway it would rev up to 5k RPM and not shift up every now and then. AC went out around 70k mls, would only work when Im driving. Then around 100k mls the transmission started having issues. Vehicle would just die when I come to a red light or stop sign every now and then. Then it got worse - if I slow down and do a california stop the rpms would drop below 1k and engine felt like it was going to die. Then finally vehicle just died when I came to a stop sign. I turn it on, runs fine, I put it in gear and it dies. Just jerks forward and dies. Brought it to Nissan dealer. They said needs transmission - not telling me what actually failed in the transmission. Mechanics do not know anything about transmissions. They rang up a $4500 bill for a new transmission. I could not afford this bill and they ended up getting me into ANOTHER CVT Altima. When I clearly told them I do not want a Nissan CVT but they said that is the only thing they can do. Without any other means of transportation I had to take this deal in order for me to keep my job. After getting a unwanted second CVT Altima - I started asking around. One of the mechanics told me you are suppose to change the transmission fluid every 6 months. Another mechanic told me its a sealed transmission and you shouldnt have to do anything to it. Another told me check it every now and then. Manual says to check it at 60k. None of the mechanics or service advisers gave me same story.Vehicle put me in danger by shutting down with 18 wheelers behind me honking at the green light. Vehicle is dangerous to drive as it is unstable in windy weather. The hood itself looks like its going to fly away by all the shaking its doing when you are driving on the highway. Now Nissan holds NO VALUE! Nissan corporation floods the market with cheaply made vehicles that break down and MAKE you get into another Nissan. The Nissan I got into 2015 was priced at $25,000+ retail. 4 months later with 13k mls - its worth $13000 at best. Now this is a $12,000 value drop in 4 months? Really Nissan? I ended up taking a repo on this POS. And guess what? When you tell Nissan you are doing a voluntary surrender - they put you on an hour wait or just hang up. They were so quick to take my money, but when I want to give them their POS back they drag it out. Come on Nissan. This is no way to treat your customers. No wonder your power train warranty is only up to 60k mls. Because you know your vehicles will not stand the test of time. Nissan is here for a quick buck. They put you in a vehicle that breaks down or loses value so quickly that you are always upside down. So you are either stuck financing another Nissan with a discount or taking a repo, or if you are lucky paying it off and dumping it as quick as you can. I was a loyal customer to Nissan for over 3 years. Never missed or was late on a single payment. Mandatory service at Nissan dealer and your vehicle breaks down at 100k? Your stickers should say Dont plan to drive this forever. Clean up your act Nissan. Teach your mechanics how to service your transmission properly or replace them when they break down like you expect. Nissan, you lost another loyal customer and I will never buy a Nissan product again. You should be ashamed!

Over the past 12 years, I have purchased 6 Nissan vehicles, with the last being in May of this year. In all those years, I have never been late on a payment and have sometimes paid my loans off early. Unfortunately, I filed for bankruptcy two years ago, which was granted. The only thing I kept from that was my Nissan vehicle. In May of 2012, I traded my 2006 Pathfinder for a 2012 Rogue and received financing at 1.9% from the dealership in California where I had purchased several other cars. Since then, I have retired from law enforcement and moved my family to Bowling Green, KY. On 11/07/12, we went to the local dealership to look at the new Nissan Pathfinders. At that time, while investigating trading in our recent purchase for a new Pathfinder, I was told NMAC wouldn’t give me a reasonable interest rate again since I was lucky to get the one in May because of my bankruptcy. Having been a loyal customer and having spent the money I have with your corporation, I felt pretty cheap having been treated that way. If Nissan feels like they were doing me a favor for buying their vehicle, I will have to go somewhere else to purchase my next one.

Nissan may make a decent vehicle but the financial company NMAC has a lot to be desired. Customer Service people never listen, can’t resolve issues and always apologize for the other person mistakes but never takes care of the matter at hand. Whoever trains these people needs to retrain or fire them because I refuse to do any more business with them.

We had bought two Muranos from the same Nissan dealership without any problem. In 2010, I needed a smaller vehicle for my increased commute so we bought a Rogue. Transmission failed at 78K; replacement failed after another 46K miles. They will not cover this 2nd failed transmission. Their office of consumer affairs was unprofessional and dismissive. And we HAD been in the Nissan family for over 10+ years! Completely unprepared for this experience, as we thought Nissan would most definitely care and would most definitely replace this clearly defective AND DANGEROUS faulty transmission. How wrong we were! We no longer have any accolades to give this company, and will deter family and friends from buying from this dishonest company. The transmission is dangerous as gears would slip on the highway, stall at intersections, and decelerate when trying to merge into traffic. And they KNOW this transmission is defective. Weve never had such a scary driving experience on the road as well as such an outrageous experience with a customer service HA! department anywhere else. We are done with them unless they replace this transmission with no cost to us!

Never ever will I buy another Nissan. Let me share my experience with you.
Never ever will I buy another Nissan. Let me share my experience with you. I was happy to lease my new Xterra last fall (8 months ago). However, they never sent me billing info or statements; yet, they began harassing phone calls immediately. I mean 8-10 calls per day and mostly from people that spoke very broken English. I would state that no payment book was ever sent nor any statement sent to my address. This was the case for the first three months. And yet, the harassing phone calls continued as well as late payment fees. I even drove to and spoke with the general manager at the Nissan dealership where I leased the vehicle. He stated that they had had many complaints about Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp from customers. My newest issue was this month when I moved into a new home and was also traveling for work (June 2012). Because so much was going on, I forgot to send out the payment the first of the month, and the harassing phone calls began immediately. Im not talking 3-4 weeks late. Im talking 7-10 days late and phone calls all day, every day, including weekends. I called Nissan to pay for this month and next and they told me that I have almost $500 in toll-booth violations I have to pay. This puts me over the edge. One, I use toll highways maybe once or twice a month. If that, two, I have EZ Pass and it comes right out of my account. After speaking to several reps who speak very limited English, I am put on hold for 20 minutes and am eventually disconnected. I called back and went through the entire experience again and finally got to speak with a supervisor. I tried to explain my situation after again giving all my info (which takes an eternity) and the supervisor begins talking over me from the very first moment, arguing and questioning everything I am saying. She will not listen to anything I say and tried to argue with me, basically calling me a liar. This continues until I can take no more and I snapped.Advice: regardless of how much you like the Nissan vehicle you are looking at purchasing, dont buy a Nissan. I have owned dozens of cars and have never ever had a negative experience like this from day one. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Most unprofessional people/organization I have ever had to deal with!

I have been reading the problems with the Nissans... WOW... When I bought mine it had 46,000 on it, that was 18 months ago. I dropped my car Nissan Altima 2012 off Monday and since they didnt have it done by Tuesday they offered me a rental for free. It is Wednesday and I just picked up my car. I have had problems with this car from the get go... I am now on transmission #3 in 18 months. They have never charged me a penny and our dealership out here is amazing! I have called Nissan North America yesterday and they said they would call me today by 5:00. I had leukemia and had a bone marrow transplant, the hospital I see my doctor at is 120 miles away. With the first transmission I would be doing approx 75 mph in the fast lane and all of a sudden nothing. It completely shut down. I have been nearly (could have been fatal) car crashes 3 times. You know how hard it is going from the fast lane to the slow lane with no power. Anyway, I feel terrible for you all paying so much money out. I have been lucky, on my first transmission I was 300 miles from the warranty expiring. I wish you all the best. I am afraid to drive my car now. Fingers crossed for Nissan North America.

I purchased a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder in September 2013. In the first months two rear seals went bad. Shortly after that, the left rear wheel bearing went out. A few months later, the two motors in the passenger door window (which never gets used) went bad. Then about a month ago my right rear wheel bearing went out. Two weeks ago there was a loud bang in the rear end and the left rear shock absorber broke. REALLY NISSAN??? I would be ashamed beyond belief to have a product of this poor quality and not stand behind it. Your free advertising started after the two seals went bad in the first months of ownership of this vehicle. Then, I read just recently that the Nissan Pathfinder is in the top 10 worst vehicles to purchase right now. My son in law was about to purchase a Nissan Armada, but that will not happen now. Never again Nissan. Poor quality product with big corporation not standing behind their product.

I recently bought a Nissan Juke. My Cube had died at 260000 miles after it carried me through 7 of my 14 Caravan To Catch a killer tours for my daughter. It seemed I got a pretty good interest rate with Nissan finance. 3 days before the first payment was due March 13th I attempted to go online and was able to access the website. March 13th was my first payment since I bought the card January 28th but on March 12th it was telling me I was already past due one payment than that old 800 dollars. I still decided to try to play them and I knew was due. but when I tried to access the Bill Matrix every time I click on it it would not open. The next morning the 13th, I went on Nissan finances website and every time I click make a payment it kicked me off the website. Id sign back in, it kicked me out. Then I tried calling twice. First it said it couldnt find my account by my social security numbe. At first, it wouldnt take my account number then when it finally did, instead of giving payment options, it sent me to talk to somebody but people dont man phones on weekend and hung me up - ten-to-one it was sending me somewhere for being overdue which I wasnt. This was on the 12th and I didnt owe 2 payments. Finally last night I went on and got on the website and actually opened bill matrix. I needed an option putting it on the credit card and it listed discover as an option. I put in my account number and all the other information and click on choose payment, it only gave me the option of debit card or check... again possibly because it was saying I was past due which I wasnt.Today Monday, it is a day late. I have called 4 times and each time I was on hold for 33 minutes before I hung up. The last time I started at 515 Central Standard Time and was still on hold until 6 w. They closed their real life people at 7. Im right in the process of trying to push for a law here in Oklahoma and at times must use my credit to help support it through publications etc as well as travel on my CARAVAN tours to seek tips for daughters killer. And there is no email or direct way to get through.

I purchased a 2011 Nissan Rogue on mid August. I received the statement that my payment would be due on August 30th. On August 26th, I wanted to pay $6,000 online as my first payment. I had to call the finance company and they told me that they couldnt process the amount of $6,000 and that it could only be $2,000 at a time. Well, I had no choice so I split up the amount into three separate amounts online and to top it off, I was charged a $5 convenience fee for each transaction. Well on August 31st, I checked my bank account and to my surprise I had a charge of $12,000 plus six convenience charges. I called the finance company and advised them that I only wanted to make a payment of $6,000 not $12,000. I asked to speak with a manager several times and I held on the line forever. I was finally transferred to a manager, Rosey, and explained my situation. I asked for the convenience to be waived and they denied my request. This has been such an inconvenience at this point and very disappointing. Rosey explained that this same issue had happened to someone else earlier as well and they couldnt do anything for me. They advised me that they would reverse the additional $6,000 charge which they mistakenly charged me but that it would take seven to ten days to process. Now, this situation has made me to have to borrow money from someone else as I didnt have this amount in my bank account in the first place. I will never purchase a car from Nissan ever! Their finance company is irresponsible and the management are imbeciles.

It all started on July 6th when we took our 2014 Rogue (which was purchased in 2015) in due to damage to the clear coat. If you are not familiar with clear coat it is the top protective layer applied to the paint job. The damage was caused by bird droppings. We had a car detailer look at it and he informed us that if the dealer attempted to buff it out that it would scratch the paint because the clear coat was so thin. When the car was taken in to the Nissan service department in Duarte, Louisa the body shop manager and Paul ** the sales manager were informed of the situation. When the car was ready for us to pick up (7/10) we found more damage done than when we left it. Over spray on the tail lights, roof rails, side, rear, and spoiler.Since then we have talked to GM Matt, Consumer Affairs and will be calling the BBB. It has been over a month now and we are still in a rental car because every time the vehicle is supposedly ready they seem to find new ways to damage the vehicle. The car is now at the 3rd party body shop which last time we checked (8/10) left spots on the interior seating and shifting counsel. Before going to the body shop the dealer in Duarte scratched the paint trying to do a quick buff job like we warned them not to do. Then when they finally broke down and decided to clear coat the entire vehicle like we requested from the start, they ended up scratching the window frames and still left over spray on side mirrors and tail lights. The car is no longer new thanks to their lack of understanding and attention to detail. We have totally lost enthusiasm in owning our Nissan and feel like our joy of buying a new car and the hard work that went into it has been robbed from us. Then another sales manager called us in and offered us a newer model with a higher monthly rate to help resolve the issue, which just enraged us even more for wasting our time and again being misleading. Never again will we be fooled by Nissan, and the word will spread.

I have been trying to make payments for my son on his car. He has had issues keeping up with his payments, and I have offered to help out. I called NMAC to make a payment, and because I do not have a debit card that does not require a PIN, they will not accept the payment. Its unbelievable! I checked with my financial institution, and they never heard of this debit card without a PIN. They will not accept any other payment method over the phone. I have offered to give them my routing/account information to pay that way, but they said that he sent in a check that bounced, and they will not accept my check information for up to 13 months? They want me to Western Union every payment to them, for an additional $15 each month. All I want to do is help him get things straightened out with his car payments, and NMAC is not willing to help at all, as they told me dont bother sending us check (Greg-NMAC) either. This is very poor customer service! We will never ever deal with Nissan again!

The promotion is a complete failure. I am unable to register or to log in; the instructions in the Internet are to enter either the pin code or the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), while the instruction on the colorful mailing is to enter the pin code and repair order invoice. Also, on the mailing is an instruction to scan to enter. The local employees in S. Burlington are completely uninformed of the sweepstakes. Repeated phone calls to the local office are either not answered, or unanswered by people with no knowledge of the sweepstakes. I called a number once asking for help; a man answered saying there was a problem, but he managed to enter my registration. On the second try, neither my registration nor log in information would work. If Nissan is going to run a sweepstake, it should be done with much more care.

So I financed a car with Nissan that had almost 30,000 miles on it thinking it was a good investment. The warranty was for 60,000 miles and of course things were great right up until the warranty expired. At just over 63,000 miles the transmission let go. I have never heard of such a thing. Funny thing is they had this problem with the cvt transmissions before and supposedly fixed the issues. WRONG. Also they have a bunch of lawsuits out against them because of this issue. Most if not all are just out of warranty. Think about that one.

I came across the mission of your company on your website. Since months I have serious and justified doubts on this mission. Let me explain: My Nissan Trail (1 year old - warranty) that I bought last year in January 2016 in Windhoek, Namibia has been under repair since 27 August 2016 until today (!) after an engine jamming. A long story of promises by the local Nissan dealer has been culminating in a statement by the dealer last Monday, 6 March 2017: We are sorry the engine has no compression and we have to bring it back to repair to the engine workshop. So I am waiting now for more than 7 months for my car with now not any prediction when it is going to be ready. And if it is could Nissan warrant that it is functioning? Engine repair is not standard anymore in Europe, but is overtaxed to customers in Africa. All this questions and more in detail I addressed in a written complaint to Nissan South Africa with not any answer so far. I hope you can address this mismatch between your mission and my experience as soon as possible. A frustrated customer.

My daughter decided to replace her Ford Fiesta 2010 which she had many problems with the dual clutch. She bought a new Nissan Juke 2017 at 417 Nissan (Ottawa, Ontario) thinking there wont be issues, its new right? The car had maybe 25 km on it when she left the dealer, drove for 10 km and service engine came up (just left the dealer). She went back to the dealer, it took 1 week for them to figure out that it was a manufactured pin that was not pushed completely down. She picked up her car, approx. 1.5 months after, she broke down again, got towed. Now they said it was the wiring harness that needed to be replaced, it took forever to get the part (4 wks). It got replaced and fixed, drove it again for not even 1 month. This time it was worse. She thought the car was going to explode, RPM going crazy and could hardly go forward, service engine everything was lighting up in the dash, she got towed the 3rd time. My daughter is only 18 years old, making her bi-weekly payments and working 4 jobs. Now Nissan Finance have no problem digging in her account to withdrawal the payment when she has been asking since the 2nd break down to replace it with another Juke. Nissan (head office) wont even return our calls, they are not professional at all. Now the car is in the garage, lord knows what is the issue but service is terrible, not keeping us up to date and Nissan (head office) senior person is supposed to call us back within 24 hrs, still nothing. This is not acceptable.

I purchased a pre-owned 2013 Nissan rouge 8 months ago. Very recently after driving for an hour when I get to a sign stop or an intersection, the car does not accelerate no matter how hard I hit the gas pedal. Cars behind me start honking, cussing, and I know that one of these days Im getting into an accident. Im waiting for the Consumer Affairs specialist to call me. I already took the car to an authorized Nissan service center and the mechanic confirmed its the CVT transmission. The car has 79k miles, no warranty and the extended warranty that Nissan offers does not include my VIN. I hope to get positive news from the specialist and Nissan will be paying for the repair cost or else I will have to file a lawsuit. Ive read so many complaints about this car and for Nissan to not take action, it is a shame, perhaps an accident, a lawsuit will make Nissan to take proper action to protect its customers.

2012 Nissan Rogue S AWD, with a CVT. 2015 Oct, I purchased the vehicle use with 96K miles, still within the bumper to bumper warranty (different owner). 2 Weeks after purchase during an attempt to vacation, we arrive in St. George with a smoking engine compartment and loss of fluids. The transmission blew due to it overheating. It over heating due to the poorly manufactured cooling portion of the CVT. Which resulting in the transmission being overheated and blown. The Nissan Dealer in St. George charged my purchased extended warranty for the replacement. Not the extended manufacture warranty it should have been covered under still. $4,600 total - $480 out of pocket.June 6th, 2017. (1.5 years later, 7 months outside of warranty and 124,500 miles) Traveling to Grand Junction. Vehicle started mimicking similar issues as prior. Had to replace the cooling portion of the unit. They upgraded it to the better version (the external cooler) that would prevent the transmission from over heating. $1,000 total $160 out of pocket. (Thank goodness for my extended warranty AGAIN). July 7th, 2018. 1 month outside of warranty for the external cooler and 136,907 miles. Traveling to Twin Falls. Same issues start occurring. AGAIN. Took to the dealership on 7/9 where I was advised that my transmission had went into fail safe mode 111 times. Leading to need to replace the transmission once again due to the external cooler not doing its job once again.I have contact Nissan Consumer Affairs, I opened a case which went to review. Subsequently being denied for Goodwill Assistance on 7/10 at 5:20 PM for assistance on another $5,000 repair due to defective manufacturing due to the vehicle being outside of the 60,000 mile manufacture warranty. I was very friendly offered the opportunity to purchase another vehicle from Nissan though. I THINK NOT! Nissan, it is time for you to own up to your defective vehicles and repair them at your cost since there are so many of these that are occurring with the same issue! I also urge everyone to contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and report the problems of loss of acceleration etc.

Nissan is one of the most crooked companies in the world. Many people do not know that they have been committing criminal business practices for ten years now by fooling consumers with their fancy CVT transmissions that have prematurely failed on tens of thousands of Versas, Sentras, Rogues and other models and it is a disgrace that they have been allowed to get away with this kind of egregious behavior for so long. A class action lawsuit was filed against Nissan, but many car owners never received the details of the lawsuit until it was almost in settlement which settled in March 2020. Sadly this court in Tennessee and all the crooked lawyers attached to this class action lawsuit really received all the benefits of the settlement but tens of thousands of Nissan owners were left out in the cold because they sneakingly increased the warranty to a random 84,000 miles when many many transmissions have failed after that mileage but still very prematurely. I am one of those victims and had I known about the crookedness of this disgusting company I would have never purchased my 2015 Sentra from Hertz. My transmission started showing failure issues at approximately 70,000 miles, but it finally totally failed at 99,000 miles. I only found out about the class action lawsuit because of the research I was doing online and taking the car to a repair service to find out it had failed. I petitioned the court and objected to the settlement, but because there were only a few of us who objected, the judge denied the objection. I am not done with this, but because of the pandemic, I am not able to reach the news media investigative teams to report this crookery. It is an unconscionable act that Nissan has duped 100s of thousands of customers the last ten years. I intend on writing to the newspapers to further expose these crooks. They do not deserve being in business, and if people knew how the company was run and their ex CEO is an international fugitive, people maybe would stop buying their cars. Adding insult to injury I just received a disgusting piece of mail that Nissan has been forced to send to Nissan owners extending this disgusting warranty only because they were mandated to do so. What about the other 100s of thousands of customers who already got screwed? And furthermore, they have made it so repair services cant rebuild them, they have to purchase an already rebuilt transmission probably from a company that is connected to them. The cost is prohibitive for most of us, a whopping $4,000. My poor car has been sitting outside unable to be driven for seven months now and furthermore these cars will have no resale value due to the criminal business practices of Nissan. Couldnt get any worse than this!

I bought a brand new 2014 Nissan Sentra in 2014. Right off the lot with a brand new 2014 Murano to go with it. Well 20k miles later the gears arent shifting. My fiancé drives it less than a mile to work and back Mon-Fri and thats all. We drive the Murano more than anything. My mind is blown that I am being told that it needs a new transmission. SERIOUSLY not even 4 years of driving it and just hitting 20k and I basically need a whole new car. I still owe $15k on top of it all. Man they really saw us coming. Walked in ready to give birth wanting 2 fresh new safe vehicles for our baby and thats what we are sold. I will never recommend Nissan to anyone I know. I tell everyone the worst of it to make sure they arent being taken advantage of either. I am sickened by this dealership and anyone who has the heart to sell an unsafe vehicle to anyone walking through their doors. Reason of review: Damaged or defective. Monetary Loss: $15000. Preferred solution: Price reduction.

I purchased a 2009 Nissan Rogue, new. I have owned this car for 10 years, and have paid through the nose for control arms and wheel bearings. August 4th 2015 my transmission overheated on the 400, kicked into safe mode from Cruise control and almost got us run over by a transport. It was repaired with an accessory oil cooler by Nissan two weeks later. Same thing happened 2 days ago on a trip back from Lemington. I have under the 200,000 km, but am 1 month over my warranty. So, I have been in talks with Nissans customer care department. My warranty was up July 30th. The band aid fix for my transmission on August 5th 2016 has failed 1 month after the warranty was up...imagine that. It was a pretty car. Its pretty worthless now. Seriously think over your purchases....I now have no trade value.

My situation is no different than most of these other complaints, so Ill be brief. My local Nissan dealership says that they have no idea why my 2011 Juke refuses to start from time to time. Even after replacing my alternator, (700.00) they still dont know. Its a pity that the Nissan dealership cant repair their own vehicles.

Absolutely horrible service from all aspects of Nissan. Summary: Issue was reported to Nissan Consumer Affairs (CA) and I was told that my car was still under warranty. My vehicle was at McDavid Nissan for 5 days before it was looked at despite having an appointment. Due to the delay in inspecting the vehicle the warranty had exceeded the 3 year warranty window. CA changed. Told me I was out of luck but would examine my case for out of warranty assistance. This would take an additional 3-5 business days. 12+ calls were left unanswered and messages left un-returned about the status of my vehicle. 3 messages left with the service manager were un-returned. No loaner car was provided and I was told I would need to pay to rent a vehicle. The 6 hour job took 9 days to complete.Full Story: I purchased a 2016 370Z NISMO In November 2015. My vehicle developed a water leak in heavy rain on the driver side door. This looks to be a common problem with these vehicles. My vehicle had 33,000 miles and I was told at another dealership that the warranty only covered 32,000 miles. I reported the issue to CA on a survey and was called by a representative. They told me that my vehicle was still under warranty and should take it in. I made an appointment as soon as I could and dropped the vehicle off on a Monday at 4 PM. I was told that no loaner would be provided and that I needed to pay for a rental. This is ridiculous and seems to be the common policy for all Nissan dealers. By Wednesday they had still not inspected the car. Finally, on Friday they called to let me know that they had found the issue and that I would need to approve the charges. I called to find out what the charges were since it was under warranty, but my service rep was out of the office and no one else could help me. On Saturday I was finally able to reach my service rep who informed me that my warranty had expired 3 days prior to me bringing it in and the work would cost $2,000. I called back to CA to figure out why I was told the work would be covered. When I called they told me I was screwed. Even though I had reported the issue inside the 3-year window, and the exact issue I described was found upon inspection, since the service department took so long to inspect the vehicle the warranty had expired. On the following Monday they called me back in and said they would look at my case for out of warranty assistance in 3-5 days but there were no guarantees. I told the dealer to order the parts so that the work could progress while I was waiting. The parts took twice as long to arrive over what I was told. When I called to find out about the status of the parts my calls were ignored and when I left messages no one would return my calls. I called over 8 times on Tuesday to get a status update and all the calls were ignored. I left 2 different messages with the service manager and these calls were never returned. I was again denied a loaner car. During the entire process my issues were treated as my problem and Nissan was of no help. On Wednesday I called again to get a status update, after 3 ignored call and another ignored message to the service manager, I was told that they were still waiting on approval from CA. CA told me they had marked the case urgent, but it could take another day or two. I told them the work would be complete and that I was going to pick up the car because I needed transportation. CA said that if I did that, the case would have to be reevaluated for reimbursement and could change their decision. I told them that this was absurd, and they said they couldnt do anything about it. Later that day CA called to let me know they had finally reached a decision to cover the repairs. I went to the dealership to pick up the car, but it wasnt ready even though I was told it would be. When the car was finally done, they didnt pull it up, they just gave me the keys and told me to go find my vehicle. I will never buy another Nissan and neither will my friends or coworkers.

Nissan consumer affairs is a JOKE! Purchased a used 2011 Nissan Murano convertible from a Chevy dealer. Before the purchase though I made an appointment and brought the car to the local Nissan to have a pre-purchase inspection done from dealership the car was orig sold and maintained from. Got the thumbs up. I asked if there were any major issues. Was told no. Asked if I could get a print out of all services completed and was told I could not have that but the service tech read to me minor repairs that were done. So I purchased the car. 2 months into owning the vehicle the convertible top stops working... Come to find out the top on this vehicle had already been replaced at 12k miles and was brought in several times for complaints with the convertible top not opening properly. Now we have a car that the top DOES NOT WORK and they say it will cost $17,000.00 in parts to repair... This does NOT include labor. Nissan doesnt feel they are responsible for this repair. How can you expect a consumer to spend SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS + labor to repair a car worth 24K when it is clearly a known issue with this vehicle? We even found a bulletin Nissan published stating known issues with the top. This is the most unbelievable thing I have ever come across. NISSAN was my very first vehicle. Ive always thought they were great vehicles. I will never EVER purchase or recommend to ANYONE to ever buy a Nissan. We will be wrapping the car as a lemon and serving free lemonade out of it. DO NOT PURCHASE NISSAN.

Nissan Rouge with severe problem and poor customer service. I have bought Nissan Rouge #VIN NO: **. I went for the first servicing on 04/20/16. They have done servicing and report states the car doesnt have any issues. I was facing problem with the car while driving around 70-75 miles/hour suddenly brake light was coming on the dashboard. I thought this is a safety issue and reported to Local Nissan Dealer Airport Nissan Cleveland on 5/16/16. They said they couldnt replicate the problem. And after that I have faced the same problem again and reached to the Airport Nissan on 07/06/16. This time with evidence. They have done the servicing and returned my car on 07/09/16, unfortunately one day only I have faced the same issue with that car. I am afraid Nissan has not taken this case seriously enough. Is this normal to happen with every Nissan car? Why this problem is keep on coming after 3 times of servicing. I am totally disappointed with Nissan Customer Service. Now whenever I am trying to press the brake the car is vibrating.

Aug of 2012, I returned a used Nissan Altima that was running terribly to Planet Nissan located in Las Vegas, NV, after having purchased it under 1 year prior. The sales ** thought it would be best to do a trade, the Altima for the Maxima. During the transaction Planet Nissans employee (**) added the best warranty that Nissan sales to my contract. He was slick, he had me sign my original contract that had a smaller warranty but claimed there were errors and printed a second contract with the added hidden PLUS Warranty.Unknowing I signed the contract, but when I noticed, I made several complaints to Planet Nissan, Nissan Financial and Consumer Affairs. I was at a local 24 Hour Fitness jacuzzi venting to a stranger about the treatment I had been receiving. Turns out he was Planet Nissans General Manager. Who also refused to touch this matter. I had no luck resolving this matter therefore I decided to shut up about it. After all it is the best warranty a person could have right? No! Recently, my engine crashed in this 2012 Nissan Maxima at 56k miles. I immediately took the vehicle back to Planet Nissan and within a week I was told that the my Manufacturer Warranty and the Extended Plus Warranty would NOT cover the damaged engine. Why? They claimed there was sludge in the engine which Voids the Warranty Agreement immediately. I was asked by the Service Manager ** and the Sales Manager ** to provide proof of oil changed for 2014. I successfully retrieved the documentation from my credit card company to prove that I have kept up with the maintenance on the vehicle. Response: DENIED. This is the easiest Scam you can pull on a working woman like myself as my only fault here was purchasing a Nissan to begin with.I contacted consumer affairs, a representative called me to discuss this matter however, his entire conversation was No, No, No, we cannot help you. Leaving me without any options and refusing to accept my proof of maintenance on the vehicle. So, I asked him to please investigate this case and consider allowing me the opportunity to have a second opinion as I felt that Planet Nissan was jumping the gun here. Apparently they logged it in Nissans system prohibiting me from EVER having the engine fixed under either the manufacturer warranty or the extended plus warranty. The consumer affairs agent made it real clear to me that no matter where I go in America. The engine will Not Ever be covered, therefore there was nothing Nissan could do nor did he care to take a look at any evidence I had to support the previous maintenance on the vehicle. He made it real clear that he was supportive of Planet Nissans decision without any proof therefore, I was on my own. I took the vehicle to United Nissan in Las Vegas for a second opinion as the Check Engine light is generating these codes: CYL 4 Misfire, CYL 6 Misfire, TW Catalyst System B1, and TW Catalyst System B2. Within 24 hours I received a call back from the service agent ** who explained that the claim was DENIED. He explained that although the technician saw no sludge in the engine that Planet Nissan had reported such and therefore the claim was DENIED. I explained that I needed a second opinion as my car received maintenance regularly and I had proof. He explained that he could not help me and asked me to return the rental car as soon as possible.A day after returning the rental car I realized that I had left my duffel bag full of personal belongings in the trunk and a handicap placard in the rental car provided to me while the Maxima was in Service. Immediately I contacted United Nissan and was told to come and pick up my belongings that they had retrieved it from the rental vehicle. Today March 19, 2015 I went to United Nissan to retrieve my belongings, it was explained to me by ** that it will cost me a total of 12K to replace the engine in the Maxima, My handicapped placard was stolen and my duffel bag of belongings was ramshacked. Im so disappointed in my treatment at Nissan, overall Im disgusted. I dont even expect a resolution from here. Im stuck with a 2012 Nissan Maxima with a bad engine and a $700 car payment. This is pitiful.

My CVT transmission was replaced at 70,866 miles by Nissan because of all the problems I was having with it. This car has given me problems since day one. 3 weeks ago, my car left me and my two daughters stranded on side the road out of town when it would not accelerate when we stopped at a red light. After getting my car towed ($355.00) back to the city where I live so that I can get it to the nearest shop, I am now being told that I need to replace the transmission again. I now have 131,000 miles and it is no longer under warranty and they want to charge me almost $5,000 to replace my transmission. That 60,000 miles since my transmission was replaced. So obviously the CVT transmissions need to be replaced every 60-70,000 miles. WHICH IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. MY FAMILY OR I WILL NEVER BUY NISSAN AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE I MAKE EVERYONE AWARE ON EVERY SOCIAL SITE AVAILABLE and THROUGH WORD OF MOUTH...

Purchased Nissan Altima..brand new from Davidson Nissan In Watertown NY. My car overheated to the point the indicator was pegged out completely! And fluid spewed out from under the hood multiple times!! First trip to very unfriendly service department..was told could not repeat. Picked up my car and the radiator fluid was still all over the front end of my car!! Next day picked my son up at school. Car overheated to the point I was asked to move it farther away from the building for fear children could be burned from the spewing liquid. Parked in the far end of parking lot. My car was flat bedded again to Davidson Nissan in Watertown N.Y. Was told again could not repeat. Went to pick up my car, they couldnt find it. Called service manager and he told them he parked it in the back field. They brought it to me covered in dirt and yep covered in more anti freeze. This continued for weeks. I told the manager of the Davidson Nissan Watertown NY I did not want the car anymore. I asked him to buy it back. He said all he could do to make it right was an extended warranty, Nissan car mats, 2 free oil changes (I did not use) and a Nissan hat. 2 years later my car suddenly jerks going down the highway. I get off exit and car hesitated. I drove less than a mile to pizza shop. Went to leave and my car would not go forward or reverse.. Called warranty company and had my car flat bedded to Burdick Nissan in Cicero NY (Drivers Village). I was told this morning that transmission had to be completely replaced!!! What it is a 2017 are you kidding me. Yep but at least its covered by warranty. What about next time? Replacing with the same kinda transmission.... Hello..I thought Nissan was a good dependable car. I dont want this car and owe too much to trade it!! Thanks Nissan.

As a woman having heard of the many poor business practices against woman in the car dealership and services centers, prior to taking my car in for a scheduled oil change I contacted the Lancaster Nissan Service Center and posed the question if they would perform an oil change on my vehicle if I purchased my own oil and oil filter. I was informed by the gentleman over the telephone that Lancaster Nissan does perform oil changes for customers who bring in their own oil and oil filter and was quoted a price of approximately $16.95. Having scheduled the appointment online and being quoted approximately $89 (with their oil and oil filter), after calling and verifying that I could purchase my own oil and oil filter, I emailed the person who sent me a confirmation of my scheduled appointment asking that a note be made that I will purchasing my own oil and oil filter approximately 5 days prior to my scheduled appointment. I arrive for my scheduled appointment and check in with the representative at the service desk and inform him that the oil purchased and oil filter for this appointment are on the floor on the passenger side. He informs me that the price of the oil change will cost approximately $15 plus tax. I inform him that I am aware as I had previously called and that I would also like to have the old oil filter returned to me. His response was, Ok whatever you say. Although I did not inform him of why I wanted the old oil filter returned, the purpose in my doing so was to ensure that it was indeed replaced. I handed the representative my keys only for him to return approximately 10 minutes later informing me that he was just told that Lancaster Nissan does not perform oil changes unless the customer uses their oil and oil filter. This was puzzling as I previously called to inquire if it was possible and received a quote, and also upon checking in, the representative quoted me a price with me having brought in my own oil and oil filter as well. He indicated that the owner just informed him of this. I asked to speak with the owner whose business card reads General Manager, and he indicated that this is their policy. I asked the owner to see the policy in writing and he informed me that they do not have it in writing as they have never had this type of issue. I asked the owner how it was that I called to inquire of the practice, emailed a representative who sent me confirmation of my appointment, and was also quoted a price at check in upon informing the representative where the oil and oil filter was, that now, all of a sudden it is a policy that cannot be produced in writing. His response was that they have never had this issue arise which is very hard to believe, being that Lancaster Nissan Dealership/Services Center has been in Lancaster for many years. The purpose of this review is to make woman aware of this poor service provided by Lancaster Nissan Services Center, in Pennsylvania and the false representations of their alleged policy which the owner could not produce in person. Although I have a copy of the service agreement I was asked to sign to verify the services I requested which note that I purchase my own oil and oil filter, I am unable to attach it as I am not savvy with technology. However, I am willing to take a picture and email it or mail a copy if requested.

In general, I am not satisfied with Nissan. Their car is not reliable. Last month, I met with their customer service too. It is worse than their vehicles. I highly recommend staying away from Nissan and further than their customer service.

I own a 2003 350z Touring and the outside door handles are complete crap. I dont know if this is planned obsolescence, but the fact that they are made out of cheap plastic and break all the time is ridiculous. Ive been to many Nissan forums and EVERYONE with this model car has had the same issues. Why has there been no recall if its such a popular issue? The plastic on the inside of the handle that holds the spring in place constantly breaks into pieces from the pressure. Also, the window motors have both recently gone out. I had to crawl through the hatch to get in my car today and since the hydraulics went out on the hatch, that made it that much more of a hassle. All of this and I have only had the car for 6 months. What next? I have owned many cars but this is my first Nissan and Ive never felt like there was planned obsolescence like I have with this car. Does anyone know how something gets recalled?

Recently my air went out. The dealership informed me my Air compressor was bad and I was out of warranty. I highly discourage anyone from purchasing the maintenance plan with Nissan. You are better off setting aside a few dollars in savings toward maintenance. I wanted peace of mind but have found it difficult to get anything covered. I have had two tire issues with a 1-year-old car. First time I had to jump through hoops to get a new tire. The second time I had a complete blowout that shredded my tire and damaged my wheel. I have never experienced this and they refused to cover it by saying I hit a curb when there was a large nail clearly embedded in the sidewall. I acknowledge I probably did hit the curb... after the fact. A complete blowout of a tire is very scary. Bottom line... not worth it!!!

We purchased a brand new 2015 Nissan Rogue in September of this year and were experiencing radio issues from the day we left the dealer lot. It came in very static sounding and we thought maybe we were just in an area with poor reception. As we continued to drive the problem continued in various areas. The sound is so bad that we dont even use the radio. Were forced to use the free XM subscription that is almost expired or the CD player. We brought our car into the dealer of purchase and they claimed to have fixed the issue but we still had the same problem. Being that the dealer we purchased from was far from our home, we took it to another dealer. It has been back twice since then and they have not been able to fix it saying that Nissan needs to release a software update and until they do that the problem cannot be fixed. We were given Nissans number to follow up with them and today (11/19/15) I received a call with the regional consumer affairs representative pretty much telling me that they dont have a solution. I asked her what the timeframe is and if they would offer any other answer besides others have been complaining of the same issue and theyre working on it but she kept repeating the same thing. No timeframe, no resolution, theyre working on it. I even asked if they would cover the satellite radio until the software update comes out to fix the problem and she said they would not. So now if I want to listen to anything besides a CD, Id have to take out more money to pay for the subscription. I completely understand that this isnt a mechanical or safety issue but when consumers are spending thousands of dollars on a brand new item that is warranted to work in a specific manner and the company is not standing behind their customer service, this is absolutely outrageous. I have never heard of something like this before. I paid for a brand new, fully functioning car and that is not what I received. Nissan should be truly ashamed at themselves for selling products like this and not even offering a resolution in the meantime. Horrible quality control, horrible customer service. I will definitely think twice before purchasing another Nissan specifically due to their poor customer service.

Bought the used 2012 Nissan Sentra S in July and after starting to drive it, kept hearing a popping and clunking noise coming from the passenger side rear area. Pops and snaps when turning the wheel right and braking and straightening the steering. I have spoken with other owners of the Nissan Sentra and they have the same issues. Some customers have spent lots of money trying to resolve the issue but I think Nissan needs to step up and take the responsibility for a faulty design. Other Nissans owners are having the same issues. Scary to drive and seems difficult to diagnose, but may be coming from the steering or wheel area. Please help us to keep the reviews positive for Nissan here in Smyrna but at this point it is not a pleasant experience.
