Mercedes Automobile Model 2025 Mercedes-AMG G63

2025 Mercedes-AMG G63

The 2025 G63 is the top performance version of Mercedes’ G-Class (the “G-Wagen”). It blends serious off-road heritage with AMG performance, luxurious appointments, and updated tech. Its boxy, iconic shape remains largely intact, but underneath there are meaningful upgrades to make the driving experience sharper, quieter, and more refined.

Design, Comfort, & Tech Updates

Exterior tweaks: new grille design, updated LED headlights and taillights, revised bumpers for better airflow and styling, optional packages like Night or Carbon add more aggressive / darker finishes.

Interior & Convenience: Latest MBUX infotainment system; dual 12.3-inch screens (instrument cluster + center display); updated voice assistant; wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto; climate-controlled cup holders; wireless charging; improved sound insulation.

Off-road capability preserved**: solid locking differentials front, center, rear; 4MATIC AWD with low-range gearing; optional transparent hood/”Offroad Cockpit” display that shows angle, altitude, etc.; 360-degree cameras including an underbody / “transparent bonnet” view.

Ride and handling improvements: Among the notable upgrades is an optional hydraulic cross-linked suspension system (Active Ride Control) replacing traditional anti-roll bars to reduce body roll, improve comfort on road, while still retaining ruggedness off road.

Strengths

Iconic presence & capability: It’s hard to match the G63 in terms of street presence. It’s equally capable in off-road environments thanks to its robust underpinnings.

Power and character: The V8 + mild hybrid gives both the roar and performance AMG fans expect, with added responsiveness thanks to the hybrid assist.

Luxury & customization: Mercedes’ Manufaktur program offers many paint, interior, trim options. The G63 is highly configurable. Interior finishes are top-tier.

Upgraded tech: Infotainment, driver aids, comfort features (like noise control, ride smoothing) all improved.

Trade-Offs / Weaknesses

Fuel economy / cost of operation: Despite mild hybrid tech, it remains a thirsty vehicle. High fuel costs, high maintenance, heavy tires, etc.

Size / practicality: It’s large and tall — parking, maneuvering, wind noise, visibility in tight spots are nontrivial. Cargo space is decent but compromised by its shape and spare-tire mounting.

Weight = inertia: The mass impacts braking distances, agility, response. Even with upgrades, you’ll feel its heft, especially in sporty or emergency driving.

Price: Base price is very high, and with options it climbs quickly. It’s a luxury purchase and then some.

What’s New vs. Previous Models

The addition of the mild hybrid (48-volt ISG) system gives more torque at low revs, smoother start-off, better fill-in when turbo lag might otherwise show.

Active Ride Control (hydraulic suspension) is new / upgraded to reduce body roll, make highway driving more composed.

Refreshed styling and updated interior tech make it more modern (infotainment features, comfort items, etc.).

Better driver assistance aids and visibility features (360° view, underbody camera views, etc.) than older G63s.

Who It’s For

If you’re someone who wants a statement vehicle that can intimidate in the driveway, hold its own off-road, drag people at stoplights, and be extremely luxurious — the G63 is made for you. It’s especially appealing to enthusiasts who value character, image, and capability more than fuel efficiency or everyday convenience.

It’s less ideal if you want something purely efficient, compact, or cost-efficient for daily commuting. Also, if most of your driving is tight city streets with parking garages, the size and bulk can be a drawback.

A recall on my CLK500, 2006 for a bonding issue sliding roof. About a year ago, while driving east bound on Highway 90 in Chicago IL, My sliding roof bonding gave way. As I was driving the sun/moon roof flew off. Thankfully no other cars were following closely and no one got hurt. After I got home, I ordered the part and got the car fixed. Just about now, I received a message from the dealer on a open recall for the same issue. Since I had already got the vehicle fixed I was hoping I would be reimbursed for the cost of parts and labor. As per the dealership this is an issue that needs to be addressed by Mercedes support center, while The Mercedes support center suggested the opposite. Been going in circles. I have had nothing but issues with this car and would never suggest to waste your money with Mercedes. A very unhappy and unsatisfied customer.

I am very disappointed about how Mercedes-Benz being so irresponsible of the subpar products which they do not stand behind. My friend purchased a brand new Sprinter back in 2017. After less than a year and just over 24K miles, the car had failed to accelerate with very noticeable knocking noise coming from engine compartment. My friend took it to Mercedes-Benz of Brooklyn and was given a lame explanation of cause by water buildup. He was given an estimate of almost $30K to replace the whole engine assembly. How ridiculous! The price tag for the truck is about 60K and less than a year and under 25K miles later, it needs a new engine! I can never imagine a brand name like Mercedes-Benz would produce a subpar product like this and yet refuses to stand behind. I do not think it is the right approach to retain existing customers and attracting new customers. I would give 5 thumbs down if I had the choice.

I own a Mercedes Benz SL 500 (TRS680 GP). Earlier this year, the car went into your workshops ten (10) times before they were able to repair the distronic sensor. At 30,000 km, the car went for a service. Within 50 km after the service, the suspension collapsed and there was a complete failure of the brakes. Fortunately I was able to avoid an accident. The car was towed in to Mercedes-Benz Sandton (corner Rivonia & South) on Monday July 18, 2011. This morning (July 29, 2011), I went and enquired what was happening and I was told the parts for the suspension were due on the 4th of August.Only after the suspension was repaired could they establish why there was a total brake failure. If more parts are required, then I guess there will be a further 3- 4 weeks of wait without my car.The customer service center will not return my calls. (Lance)In summary, straight after the car was serviced, a serious safety problem arose – namely, the suspension and total brake failure occurred. Previous experience showed that repairs, namely the distronic, are not reliable and excessively slow. Please explain to me why I should not notify the relevant authorities on the apparent inability of your group to maintain vehicles in a safe and roadworthy condition.Your reply without delay would be appreciated.

As a first time lease owner of my fist Mercedes C-class this was a huge disappointment. Prepaid for 2 services at the beginning of the lease just to find out that they expire 2 years after and not by the end of the lease how they made me think. Was only less than a month after my expiration that I took car for service B and now on top of my already paid $500 I must pay again. This is beyond dishonest and most terrible customer treatment Ive ever encountered. Called the office and spoke to Juan who was only able to get a partial credit for the service I now have to pay for the second time. How would you like paying for service twice? Also, on the phone with Mercedes customer service I was blackmailed by Juan (phone number: **) not to write my honest review about this situation or they would take away even the partial credit they just gave me that only partially covers my second charge for the same service I already paid for when I signed up for the lease! It was so unprofessional and disgusting to be blackmailed to stay away from writing this honest review that made me even more compelled to do so because I want to warn all future unsuspected new customers of how they will be treated as well. I will not be buying my future vehicles from them and so is my family. I only want to give my business to places that truly appreciate their customers and with lots of great competitors out there it will be easy to do. You dont want to be tricked, lied to, especially as a first time customer into something that will screw you later and they wont even care about it. Everyone should know before becoming a customer of theirs that they treat their customers in the worst possible manner without any care and with great amount of unprofessionalism by blackmailing them to speak the truth. Did not expect this coming from this car maker of this magnitude but be warned and stay away.

Ive had my 2011 e550 (bought brand new) at the dealer service four times in the last 3 months for squeaking breaks. He informed me that it was due to my driving style and that no other e550s have had this problem and Id just have to live with it. Then in the next breath he told me that the brake assembly was too big for the car (manufacturing problem). They had it in the shop, put something on the breaks and then we went for a test drive later that day while he was in town. No squeak. Amazing, but not at all surprising. Later that day and seven miles of driving the whining started; then the shrill squeaking was right back. I love this car but Im going to have to get rid of it because they will not work with me at all. Im very disappointed by the quality and by the service after the fact. They made an offer to put new brake pads and rotors on it, again. Three sets of brakes within 15,000 miles - no thanks.

I have purchased a 2006 Mercedes-Benz ML350. I have been a Mercedes owner for over 30 years and bought this ML350 to last me for the rest of my life, with the expectations of receiving quality and service.Instead, with 37,000 miles, I have incurred thousands of dollars in repaired services. This could not possibly be represented as the German engineering. I feel that as a consumer, a victim of total misrepresentation.I would expect Mercedes-Benz to stand by their product. At this point, I believe getting rid of this vehicle and purchasing, and finding myself a more reliable and upstanding company to buy myself a new car from.

What type of company sells a product and when the product fails, they dont want any part of it. Please I need an attorney to help me deal with this issue. NEW ML 350 Bluetec - You will never get the fuel consumption indicated by the on-board computer. It consistently understates consumption by more than 1 litre/100 km (or 11.4%) - this had been verified by MBSA. This software problem, as well as the stop/start function that only works 50% of the time, had been reported nearly 2 years ago to them via the respective dealers. 6 Months ago they confirmed that a software patch will be developed to fix the wrong calculation. After numerous follow-up emails, Allis feedback is now that their R&D advice that the current calculation of average fuel consumption is within the design tolerances of the ML... What a big tolerance for a product range costing nearly R1m and claimed to be the Best or Nothing. I have to accept that the ad hoc working of the stop/start function is also within the design tolerance of the ML.

With documentation: Purchased a 2010 ML350 Mercedes with 55,000 miles from a local/reputable dealer. Engine light was on when I test drove. Return visit the engine light was off and I was told it was a minor situation and after through check the car was in excellent condition. (Body, interior, like new.) Purchased the vehicle. Engine light continued to come on then go off. Weeks later the engine light came on and stayed on for several local miles. Immediately took for service. Had 60,000 maintenance done, oil change, other. Engine light stayed off. Drove to S Florida. Engine light came on again. Took to reputable foreign car specialist. Needed # 4 engine coil. Engine light off. Few (short) weeks later - engine light on. Immediately returned to shop. Needed # 4 coil replacement. Few (short) week(s) later - engine light on. Then engine light off & stayed off. Shipped to VA. Engine light off. Drove short miles - engine light on again - this time I returned to the VA foreign car specialist to determine why the light keeps coming on. Same symptoms over and over since before 55,000 miles on a well serviced car. Summary: This car needs a # 4 cylinder (head?) replacement, plus there is a TSB from Mercedes on this engine for known problems. Mercedes Corporate (told me I was not loyal to the brand) refuses to stand behind the vehicle. Corporate passed to a dealer whom I did not purchase the car from. They of course are unwilling to help. I have not gotten help anywhere. NOW I ASK YOU - Will you purchase a Mercedes knowing it could need a new engine @ 55,000 (+/- ) miles? No car with 55,000 miles should have these kinds of issues let alone what used to be the top luxury car. It is not the customer who is not loyal to the brand - it is the company who is not loyal to the customer and dropping the makers ranking from number one to number three (or below). I need a sound engine in my car. BUYER BEWARE when buying Mercedes Benz. [Note: If this saga ends on a reputable note - I will update this posting.]

Please note that while this review pertains to a 2008 C300, I have spoken to owners of two newer model C300s, and the consensus among us is that reliability is far less than expected, and repairs are more frequent and more costly than we anticipated. Since owning this car, I have replaced several very expensive components, including a drive shaft and steering lock. During a single year, my repairs totaled $3,000. During the following year, repairs were $2,000. These are just two examples of a lengthy list of costly non-maintenance repairs. When I questioned the dealership about this track record, the salesman said, When customers ask me this, I tell them that its to be expected with a high-quality vehicle. TRANSLATION: You arent the only one whos had this experience. For me, the C300 is a low quality vehicle with a fancy emblem on the hood. I will never consider this brand again. If you decide to buy Mercedes, review buyer experiences before you do. You may save yourself a lot of heartache - and a lot of money.

2003-2006 E series Mercedes in fact a majority of MBZ in these years use a sensotronic braking system SBC provided by Bosch. It has a secret limited number of uses before the computer renders the car inoperable. There were tons of problems with these and Mercedes and Bosch placed a 10 year unlimited warranty on them. Well mine went out at 9 years and instead of replacing it, the dealer reprogrammed it as directed by Mercedes and Bosch to allow for more brake actuators insisting there was no need at that time to replace it. I voiced my concerns at that time as I already knew from 100s of other owners that this thing is a time bomb. Well it lasted 3 months beyond the warranty and failed. This part costs 50% of the total vehicle current value and my car is cherry. I contacted Mercedes and they told me to go pound sand in a professional manner of course. Second Mercedes and now LAST Mercedes, probably have 5 -10 more cars in my lifetime, they would probably all have been MBZ. This was a deliberate avoidance of making the right repair the first time knowing full well they just increased the cycle count based on our driving habits to get us out of warranty. Mercedes plan is to get all these cars off the road because they are accidents waiting to happen, huge liability tail risk. When these controllers fail you have virtually no brakes. My real anger comes from their blatant dodging of the warranty and second such poor customer service on a for the most part quality piece of equipment. The whole thing reeks of fraud pure and simple.

I have a new 2018 Sprinter Van 3500 and because of needing a windshield repair discovered rust under the windshield on both side in the channel the windshield sites in from top to bottom. Mercedes is claiming that the rust is due to a conversion to a Class C RV as the roof of the cab was cut by the converter and metal particles caused rust to develop under the windshield and it is not a Mercedes problem. I am having a difficult time understanding how metal particles from a conversion would make their way under an already installed windshield on both side from top to bottom in the center of the channel, not at the outside edge. I am disappointed in what I thought was a quality product and the difficulty experienced with a Mercedes dealer in correcting the rust problem. Not wanting to correct the problem on this Mercedes Sprinter would cause me not to purchase another Mercedes.

I went there to purchase a GL 450 2015. The purchase was all cash. We agreed on the price and after waiting for the finance guy to clean up his desk which took a lot of time, we were ready to sign the papers. After two hours being in that dealership the sales manager came and informed us that the general manager wants us to sign a paper and also put $10000 security deposit in order to make sure that we are not going to ship the car to China for two years and then they will return the deposit. They even took a copy of my Dental license. I objected the security deposit, in the beginning after consulting with someone they agreed to the signing a paper and copy of my license. After signing almost 90% of the paperwork the guy got a phone call and then told us they cannot go ahead with the deal. We wasted more than two hours in that dealership and felt very insulted. The General manager think everybody is a criminal otherwise they prove they are not... just not American way.

My car is a 2013 Mercedes smart car. It is without saying absolutely wonderful on gas in town and on the highway. It has sunroof, electric windows, back windshield wiper, and heated seats. I wanted a car that was small but safe. I watched several crash videos and consumer reports before purchasing and paying cash. I get excited every time I drive it. It has an awesome amount pick up. It can also be drove manually and gets great gas mileage. However, I would include a simpler manual for how to diagnose all the electrical untangle figures that pop up on the dash and a meter or tool to reset. It has no place jack or spare tire too. But I am incredibly pleased with my purchase.

Buyers beware! You may run into the same problems that I have with a 2013 E-Class Sedan. The car (VIN=**) was delivered on 31 Dec 2012 and shortly thereafter developed a problem with the SmartKey. Take my word for it smart this key aint. It works best when at the dealer, when I first reported that problem with the unreliability the reaction was. This guy is a nut. Always very politely but the message was clear. Fortunately the system fail during a non-related service visit at the dealer. That did initiate some more investigation, after several visits to replace door handles, antennas, etc. the key not detected message, failure to lock or unlock still exists. The final straw was when it was determined that the problem was the clothes I wear. The recommended fix was to use a leather cover over the SmartKey. That failed to make any difference so I have given up and decided to live with the issue until the warranty expires. At that time I decided that the only reason buying a Mercedes could be justified is to impress your neighbors. Because I could care less what my neighbors think. Once this car is traded it will be replaced with ANYTHING but a Mercedes. The other issue is the GPS that must have been designed by a high school student. To update to the latest maps you have to wait until the maps for your car are released. It is astoundingly idiotic that the maps for every year, body style and class are different. Not only that for less than half of the update cost you can buy a Garmin that includes the GPS unit and lifetime maps that have markedly superior performance. So much for German engineering. Having said that, the car is a pleasure to drive on the highway, the roadability and comfort can not be criticized.

I have driven Mercedes Benz for nearly a decade. I have trusted the brand; I have trusted the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Fort Lauderdale. However, recently this trust was betrayed. Additionally, I have always purchased my cars there, and always taken my car there for service. I recently took my car in to get the lights replaced. A week later the car was ready. As I drove off the parking lot, I opened the glove compartment, and it fell to the floor. I quickly called my service advisor; he suggested I take it in as soon as I could. And I did; after assessing the damage, the service manager called me and became argumentative, refusing to take responsibility. He not only betrayed my trust, he insulted me, his last words were: We are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. This is not remarkable customer service; in fact, its no customer service at all. The damage is self-evident, an obvious blunt force and trauma to the glove compartment. A client for a decade; I was planning on purchasing my next car there next year; not to mention, I spent close to $4000 on the lights and back breaks. The car is now in the service workshops in Ring Road Cairo, Egypt. I asked for a report on why the safety items did not work. They prepared a very short report in which they replied to me saying that the airbag does not necessarily open in any collision, which does not answer my question honestly. Therefore, I need to investigate this problem because the car needs a lot of money, and I am no longer sure whether the car is safe enough for me and my family. This reply from the workshop is not worthy of the Mercedes reputation and this outraged me.

I had been a Mercedes Benz user for the past decade since Mercedes Benz began its operation in India. I had bought my first Benz E240 in April 2002 through Trans Cars India Pvt. Ltd. The vehicle is extraordinary and has served to my expectation. It is in a pristine condition until today. Satisfied with the vehicle and quality of service here at Chennai, I had bought another Benz in February 2007 (S350K) through Trans Cars India Pvt. Ltd. for about Rs. 82 Lakhs. It had no major or minor problems until December 2010. I had a minor problem with the front wiper controls in 07 Dec 2010. The wiper starts to behave in a funny fashion even when the vehicle is parked and locked. This posed a huge problem. Even after the service on December 2010, the wiper problem was not rectified. It was resent back to the shop on 06 Jan 2011 and subsequently for the same problem on 12 Jan, 30 May and 29 Jun. Still, even after this much attention and care, the problem exists and I was not offered a complete or even a remotely satisfactory answer for the problem. Even more, I was charged for the same unsolved problem by your people again and again.I had mailed you regarding the same but with no clear opinion except a mail for the same. Yesterday, I had to drive the vehicle as my chauffeur was absent. Unexpectedly, there was rain. The wiper did not function in spite of repeated attempts. I had to park the vehicle in the highway and could only start when the rain stopped after an hour. My question is, when my old vehicle is reliable and has no problem, why should an advance model have problem? Why am I not explained of the problems in spite of multiple inquiries and services at your authorized center? Why was the problem not rectified during the service of the vehicle? Why was there no satisfactory answers/replies about the problem from your people at Chennai? If you want more details of the receipt and fees, I shall be able to send it.This failure on the highways could have caused an accident. It is pathetic that a reputed and time-tested concern should deal with a problem in this unconcerned manner in spite of strictly adhering to schedule for maintenance. I hope that my problem will get attended here amicably.

In the past few months I have had four flat tires on my 2011 E350. It seems that I keep getting flats from slight pot holes or even slight cracks or uneveness in the road that I drive on. I have become wary of driving my car as I may get stranded. The tires are fairly new and suddenly I am getting these complete flats (not from nails but driving in a slight pot hole or uneven surface) in the past two months. I have had this car two years prior without issues. Wondering if anyone else has tire complaints on the E350 and give me suggestions of why this could be happening.

5 months into my 2011 MB E350 BlueTech lease the front left tire blown on a highway. The tires are run-flat Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02 MO Extended 245/45R17 95H. I stopped the car and saw the rim made a cut in a sidewall. Not repairable, I had it replaced. 45 days later, another front tire was again blown on a highway the same way. I put on a spare and ordered replacement. 2 days later, the third tire blows the same exact way. All incidents were on the roads. I travel for 10 years and never had any issues with my previous cars. I complained to local dealer and was told it was caused by my way of driving. Ridiculous! The tire repairman told me these run-flats are not flexible and have a very thin sidewall so it gets punctured by the rim. I feel MB should compensate me for what I paid replacing their tires.

I purchased my Mercedes SLK 350 new in 2005. The car currently has 49,000 miles on it. Within the last month while driving, my transmission has gone into neutral causing the car to lose forward motion and not allowing me to regain drive. This occurred on the freeway at 65mph, in traffic on a major boulevard and most recently on a one lane, steep downhill grade in Malibu Canyon. Each time I had to coast off the highway, turn off the motor and wait. Then I would restart the car and it would become drivable again. After the last incident, I took it to Silver Star Mercedes in Thousand Oaks where I have my SLK350 serviced and where I purchased it new in 2005 as a retirement gift to myself. After performing tests, they said it was a defective speed sensor and would cost $2,500 to replace. Even though the car only had 49,000 miles on it, they wouldnt repair it under warranty as the 5 year (50,000 mile) factory warranty had expired. Before authorizing the repair, I researched NHTSA to find out if there had been other reports of the same problem. While there are some reports of this on my model, there have been numerous problems with other Mercedes models speed sensors that have been repaired for Mercedes owners as a safety issue. Some of those repairs were directed by the NHTSA.Considering that the issue seems to be safety related and my Mercedes only had 49,000, well-maintained miles on it, I asked my service rep if he would mind contacting Mercedes about this issue and see if they would repair it or at the least, share in the cost of the sensor repair. Two days later, the dealer contacted me and said Mercedes wasnt interested. I am surprised and disappointed in Mercedes for their seeming lack of interest and Silver Star for not offering a cost adjustment in the absence of Mercedes not reaching out. It is my understanding that Mercedes has become more proactive in safety related issues and gives their dealers more flexibility in situations similar to mine. I have a genuine concern for my familys safety and the safety of other Mercedes owners and their families.

Attempts to repair were on 6-1-11, 11-16-11, 12-7-11, 1-10-12, 2-13-12 and 3-12-12 (currently there). Lemon law letter was sent on 2-21-12. No response to that at all. I am the original owner of a 2001 Mercedes-Benz S-Class for which I paid over $85,000. My car has a mere 54,000 miles on it and is in superb condition. A few years following the purchase of the car, the thread on my steering wheel began to unravel, at which time I replaced the steering wheel. The same situation has occurred again, necessitating the replacement of the steering wheel for the second time in 54,000 miles. In an effort to appease me, Mercedes-Benz has offered me a whopping $150 toward the cost of putting in the 3rd steering wheel on this supposedly top-of-the-line vehicle. In view of their response, I feel that Mercedes does not stand behind their products, which are sold at premium prices yet often contain inferior workmanship.

This experience is from Finland. Last year, we purchased a new MB180B and the next day we got the car, I had to get it back to the dealer. I had problems starting the car, and when I finally got it going, it was twitching forcefully. When the engine became warmer, the problem was gone. At the workshop, they started to study the car, but nothing was wrong according to the car computer. But the guy from the workshop said that he thinks there are problems with a component called crankshaft sensor. So, he ordered a replacement component, but then things started to be really strange. The factory said that they will not deliver that component, and I asked why. They told me that this particular component is on the do not deliver list. Finally, they told us that there will be a new different component as a replacement.Well at this point, I made a claim against this and the reason is that a manufacturer is not allowed to deliver cars or any constructions if they know that there is a failed component in it. Or at least they are supposed to inform the customer of this possible problem and then he can decide what to do with it. Anyway, after a few days, I got the car back and now everything is okay, and so on. It wasnt. The same problem came back. The car was back in the work shop, and this has gone now several times. At the moment the car is at the work shop. I already told them earlier that they should get me a new car to replace this one or give me my money back. They told me that is totally an unreasonable claim. A new car which doesnt work, is it so unreasonable to expect that new cars should be okay? Also, during this experience, it has been really hard to get in contact with anyone. The dealer is totally worthless. The car importer is really hard to deal with and the manufacturer in Germany doesnt answer in any messages. The first one I sent half a year ago. Now, I have a lawyer to take care this, and I also took contact with LRQA (Lloyds) who have certified their ISO9001 based management system.Of course, I am angry about the car itself, but also because of this habit of delivering cars included with components that they have themselves declared on not-to-deliver. I was told by them that it is totally normal to replace these kinds of components during a normal service. Actually it is not. It is a hidden/silent recall, and that is against the law and against the ethics as well. We will see what happens. But I would like to give a warning for all possible car buyers of this kind of actions from Mercedes-Benz.

The fuel mileage is a steady 23-24 mpg unless I have a lead foot. My 2000 S-500 has been a real piece of ** and now the trade in value is less than a cheap Nissan. I purchased this piece of junk in 2003 with 37,000 miles and have had over $40,000 worth of factory repairs under the original MB warranty and with the extended warranty. And yet, still this hunk of junk continues to break down. Now that this overpriced status symbol is almost worthless. I have learned my lesson. A car that has always been serviced correctly and that is supposed to last 300,000 miles definitely does not. My vacuum pump and hydraulic system on the trunk locking mechanism has failed. Cannot open trunk with any of the three methods of design. The Dealer laughed at me and said it would cost me over three thousand dollars to fix everything and that was a guess. No help at all other than they said I had to drill out the key hole with tumblers and try to manually open it that way. So I drilled out the mechanism on a car that cost over 120,000 thousand dollars to get into my trunk. Now the problem is the dealer would not code my key to a used lock and said I had to buy one from them at over 500 dollars and they would key that one to my lock. Then I would still have to pay to fix the vacuum pump and hydraulic pump to use my trunk. Frustrated due to the fact of price gouging and poor design from the engineers to make a trunk that is very difficult to open. I cannot lock my car or trunk because it has a smart key that is extremely difficult to use. I will never buy another Mercedes-Benz car again. I will also encourage everyone I know not to buy one.

On Saturday July 14th, 2017, after about 1-2 miles of driving my 2017 MB E300 started jerking and the check engine light came on when I drove toward the first lane for a left turn on a busy highway intersection. I also found the gear was changed to neutral on the panel. I tried to change the gear to drive while waiting for the traffic light but I couldn’t. I changed the gear to park and stopped the engine to restart the car but couldn’t restart at all. I pressed the MB roadside assistance (MRA) button. They said a tow truck would be there within 20 mins. In the meantime someone helped push the car to move it to the side but the gear didn’t stay on neutral. It kept going back to park. Then it didn’t go to neutral anymore. I got stuck in the middle of the road at the intersection. There was nothing else I could do but patiently waited for towing with my little kid inside the car with an emergency light on and all 4 windows open. The car was heated up with the outside temp of over 90F. My kid was getting exhausted and drowsy due to a high temp of 110F inside the car. I pressed the assistance button again after waiting almost 40 mins and explained about an urgent situation. They said they were still searching for a provider and would text me an ETA of a tow truck once they located it. Couldn’t believe what they said. My kid was almost passing out from the heatstroke. I started looking for other ways to tow my car when I finally got a text from the MRA saying a truck would be there in 50 MINS. OMG! Couldn’t believe what they said! Then a lady stopped her car next to me. She gave us water, let me move my kid into her car with cool air, called her AAA, and let me use the service under her authority. AAA showed up in 15 mins and towed my car to the nearest MB dealership. The service department was already closed because it was Saturday. I left a car key and my contact number. I was more disappointed with a lousy MRA than the car breakdown. What’s the purpose of the button? Why did they install the useless button in the car? If it wasn’t there I wouldn’t press it and waste almost 1 1/2 hrs on the street! What a terrifying and life threatening situation I had! My kid could have died in the car!I got a text from the service department in 2 days. They found a spark plug failed and damaged one of the engine cylinders. The engine now needs to be replaced and no ETA on the replacement. Wow! For less than 2 year old Mercedes-Benz with 17000 miles on? What kind of junk has Mercedes-Benz sold? And more shocked about a very poor customer service to a loyal customer with 10 years old relationship!

My C300 Mercedes Benz with approximately 52,000 miles started to have an electrical problem about June 1, 2016. While driving at night, the headlights just went out: completely dark. I was very concerned about my safety, pedestrians and other drivers on the roads & highways. This problem occurred repeatedly over several nights and I decided not to drive at nights for next weeks. I took the car in to Mercedes-Benz of Miami (AutoNation) in Miami Gardens, FL. The diagnosis was that the wires to both headlamp units was corroded and would steadily deteriorate to where the headlights would become totally inoperable. This is outrageous that Mercedes Benz has used inferior quality electrical material that would corrode in a car with only 50,000 +/- miles. Of course, the repairs are not covered because the warranty expired at 4 years or 50,000 miles and the extended warranty expired 4 years ago. The cars sunroof also leaked and flooded inside my car on two (2) separate occasions. I paid the Dealerships to fix these leaks but the last repair was not done properly so now I have water and leaks every time it rains which is now nearly every other day during the summers here in South Florida. This leaves a damp, musty, moldy smell inside my car. Im unable to open the sunroof to dry out inside properly because the little PLASTIC lever broke as Id attempted to open the sunroof some months ago. Everything about Mercedes Benz quality has steadily declined to using inferior, cheap quality and plastic materials. That is why there is so many increase of RECALLS on all makes and models of Mercedes Benz cars and SUVs. Poor INNOVATION, PERFORMANCE & SERVICE: MBs Motto!! Customer Service Manager, Atlanta, Corporate Mercedes Benz USA offered a $260 - discount towards repairs to me, a twenty-eight(28) years loyal repeat Customer who has owned several Mercedes Benz cars since 1988! He called Tow company, who also could not jump and gave same opinion, crazy that the starter could be gone! The ECO start/stop is believed to be the cause and if you read other problems it does a number on the wear of a battery and starter due to the excessive starting and stopping compared to vehicles without this!!! VERY IRATE AND DISAPPOINTED out of my new car for 2 days and everyone is sorry for my inconvenience.

My car, the GL450 4matic, has had steering column replaced, a recall for other same year 2008 GL450, but for some reason the recall did not apply to my particular vehicle in that year... All of this by 60,000 miles. My husband’s 2009 sl63 AMG has also had air suspension issues including needing to replace hoses that the mechanic said Mercedes is famous for. 2013 E350 serviced every time it required service and every time informed them that the steering wheel tilt does not work - first time it was a software upgrade they installed - still did not fix the problem. Second time they found motor gear locked and unlocked it, again it did not fix the problem. 3rd time they made a steering adjustment and applied lube, and again it did not fix it. 4th time they want to replace the tilt motor for $1,300 and give me a 50% discount. My position is that it is a chronic defect that was never fixed correctly and I should not have to pay anything. The car is now out of warranty approx. 55,000 miles and for me it is the principle and I will never purchase a Mercedes-Benz. This is my 3rd new vehicle with them and it did not matter nor have they treated me like a valued customer. My mistake was that I did not take the car back frequently when the steering wheel did not work - I waited until a regular service was needed and told them every time. A very sad ending. My recommendation - buy Lexus and you will not have this experience. Hard for me to say since I was born and raised in Germany.

The GPS (send to Benz) was removed and three service places could not figure out what happened to it. “It’s somewhere in cyberspace” is what I was told. I then tried to renew my registration in another state; I needed the title and power of attorney, and Mercedes sent a copy.. the DMV needed to original paperwork. Twice copies were sent. I RS now almost May 2020, been waiting to register my car since March. I’ve been paying for a rental for well over a month. Now with the Covid-19 epidemic DMV is closed. If Mercedes would have sent the documents in the first place I would be registered already. Mercedes Benz 2005 ML 350 - On the morning of March 19th, I noticed a strong electrical burning smell from inside my car. Thinking it was something in my dashboard or with heater, I drove right to my mechanic. He at that time found out the cause of the smell was my driver side seat warmer element was smoking and burned an approx. 2-3 inch hole right through the leather. (I was utilizing my seat warmer on this cold 32 degree morning.) The seat warmer had also burned right through my long down jacket causing a large hole, approx. 3 inches on the back of my coat. Luckily, the coat protected my skin or I would have had a burn on my left upper thigh area. I went to the local Mercedes dealership and was told it would cost me approx. $1,400 to replace the warmer element and seat top. When asked why I was responsible, I was told I was past my 50,000 mile/5 year warranty. I am extremely upset and angry with this malfunction, and Mercedes is very lucky I did not get injured or have my seat catch on fire with my small children in the car.

I bought a brand new 2014 S-class, spending a grand total of $134,000. This is my third Mercedes Benz product. I gave MB another chance after learning they revamped their quality control and assurance programs. The past two cars had its share of very expensive problems, both electronic and mechanical. I have MB another chance on a S-class. Beautiful inside and out, great performance, and loaded with mind blowing tech. Its the biggest purchasing mistake I have made in my life. The first 3K miles resulted in speed sensor failure. At 3.5K miles, another speed sensor failure. At 5K transmission warning light. Dealer could not remedy until they consulted with MB. Warning light reappeared after three days. Decoded and reset fixed it. Now comes strange vibrations during shifts that can be felt in the accelerator when pushed. Dealer claims simple adjustment needed. Problem not solved to date. At 7K instrument/video cluster vibration during highway speeds. Dealer cannot duplicate because they cannot drive it above 65mph. The vibration seemed to remedy itself but I do not believe its resolved. I also complained about the significant amount of brake dust from the front right wheel/brake. Dealer replaced brake pads. At 10K the transmission warning light reappeared. When pressed hard, the transmission would jerk/jump/shoot like a true piece of junk manual transmission. At this point, I made it a mission to return the junk to the dealer. I didnt care how much I would lose, I just wanted them to take it back. The lemon law may have applied but I dont have time to jerk around with MB after three of their cars. I drive quite a bit between hospitals for work and my time is valuable. The amount of time I spent going back and forth to the dealer was nothing short of a nightmare. MB dealer will give you every excuse possible always stating that my S-class is one of a kind. Talking with other MB owners waiting at the service department, Ive learned that most of them were there because of a malfunction, not routine maintenance and/or oil changes like at Lexus. I do not have the car anymore and I have returned to living a normal life in a wonderful Lexus LS F. I have close to 12K with absolutely ZERO issues. ZERO! Goodbye Mercedes Benz. Strike three...youre out!

I placed an order for a Mercedes S class through a leasing company in October, for January delivery. Having placed the order I asked the leasing company for confirmation that the car had been allocated by MB. The leasing company suggested I complain to MB and ask them to confirm allocation. I had both written and MB at that time and they seemed to be responsive to my complaint. I then had a call from a woman from MD in Holland and she confirmed that the car had been issued for production, with delivery in Mid January. I contacted the leasing company who subsequently confirmed that the dealer still had no confirmation of allocation. My attempts subsequently to clarify the situation have been a complete waste of time. MB Europe now consider that it is not a problem they will discuss because I dont have a contract directly with them and now it seems the conversation I had about delivery in January is a figment of my imagination. It never happened. In other words I am either an imbecile or a liar. The attitude I get from MB is its nothing that they will comment on. Just completely abandon any responsibility to meet their obligations and commitments. They have the nerve to challenge what I say when I have it in writing. Anyway, needless to say, Im appalled that they just couldnt give a damn.

Good afternoon. I am a Mercedes C300 owner and recently I have had some problems with my car not starting...I took it to the RBM Mercedes in Alpharetta, Georgia for diagnostic review. The diagnostic presented with a problem within the steering column which caused the vehicle to not respond. I in turn looked up info on this problem and have noticed this to be an ongoing and unaddressed issue with the make and model years 2008-2009.My question to you, upon communicating my concerns to the service center who currently has my car for repair, is, what are you doing to rectify this problem and since it is an ongoing concern why has a recall not been done on this or why are customers being charged upwards of 1500.00 USD to have these repairs completed. I for one know the cost of repairs for a car in this category of cars, but I do not feel it appropriate that because an issue within the manufacturing of this vehicle is a cause for repair should I have to pay to have an identified manufactured deficiency repaired. I am very disappointed that this has occurred a number of times and nothing has been done to rectify the expenses incurred in this matter.

I went to get my car serviced and requested if they would make sure they would wash and clean my car; specifically, vacuum the car trunk. The service fellow assured me that they do it for all cars that they service and it would be done. Well it wasn’t. I expected they would wipe the seats, clean the glass but all they did was a shabby vacuum job and washed the car mats. When I called and complained to Gordon, all he said was sorry they were supposed to vacuum the trunk but I guess they didn’t. He went further to say that they usually don’t clean glass or wipe the interiors at all. But he would mention it to the manager. It was such a cold response from the service provider at Mercedes Benz. He could have said, “Well, whenever you can come by, we will clean your car,” but he offered nothing. Useless cheap service. When you purchase a high-end car, I believe the service and customer care after are very important. It is such a turn off, that I wouldn’t buy another Benz because of the lousy, “give a damn about the customer” attitude.

2015 C300 cracked a piston at 68,000 miles causing engine damage that is unable to be repaired. This car was serviced on time through an authorized MB dealer for 4 years. Car always ran loud and would not shift smoothly. These complaints have been documented for 4 years but MB failed to disclose to me that the loud noise was because of a manufacturing defect common in engines built prior to April 2015. Mercedes Benz authorized mechanic failed to recognize that the car was manufactured with inferior wrist pins which would ultimately lead to engine damage.MB knew exactly which engines were affected by this and failed to act. Engine failed after warranty ended. MB refuses to pay for any of the damage, even though they recognize that engines built prior to April 2015 would eventually suffer such damage. Parts (wrist pins) were modified in engines after April 2015. MB will not help with cost of repairs since the car is out of warranty. Since the car was taken in multiple times while it was under warranty, MB should absorb some or all of the cost to repair.

Diesel has a reputation for reliability and longevity. This is not the reality. I have owned every car brand from Buick to Porsche and have never been so disappointed as when I purchased a Mercedes. Dealerships were inept. Warranty was ineffective. Car lasted 125,000 km with extensive upkeep and then the repair bills nearly bankrupted us! Certainly NOT reliable. I would NOT recommend Mercedes to anyone. I would NOT purchase a Mercedes product again! Badly Done Mercedes Benz.

I bought a 2006 S65 AMG 2 years ago with 72000 miles. This car has been nothing of a money pit. I found the original owner and he supplied me with receipts for repairs that totaled $7000. Within the first few months owning this, I had to replace the front strut... $3000. One year later, the ABC system hose failed draining all the fluid and destroying the pump. Cost to fix this? $10000. I did get a Vehicle Master Inquiry from the dealership and this car has been constantly inside the dealership. For a $172000 car when new, this thing is a MAJOR embarrassment for MB. I later did research only to find other horror stories with Mercedes and their top of the line S series. I understand routine maintenance is needed on these, and was done on mine. Doesnt matter. They are still very unreliable cars. The Best or Nothing...? LOL!!!

Let me start off by saying that when I test drove my 2010 GL-350 I fell in love with it. The engine was smooth, transmission great and interior quality was fantastic, so I went ahead and purchased it. Despite having 90k miles on it (I have had diesels before and run them until 150k easily and know they can go much higher so the miles didnt worry me) I thought it was a sound decision (I have also owned 2 Mercedes before and loved them both ML-350s). Well after 4 Check engine lights including Blue Tech low (the CEL came on before the warning to top up the tank!), Fuel line break spraying diesel over a relay, Blue Tech heater replacement and an O-ring failure on the turbo and over $3000 in 4 months I finally decided to trade it out. I worked with the Dealer who sold me the vehicle in the first place (MB of Westminster in CO) to try to get a replacement, but I felt like I was starting from scratch again and they were not offering me anywhere near what I paid for it (in effect negating any equity I had in the vehicle) so we ended up at an impasse (interestingly, I test drove a 2010 ML 350 with 45k on it and while on the test drive the CEL came on!!!!) leaving me with a vehicle that was nice to drive, but every few minutes I was looking to see if that Check Engine Light had come on again.....not relaxing at all!! In the end I decided to trade it in for a new Japanese car losing a LOT of money but gaining a car that has a bumper to bumper warranty for 3 years. My advice if you are looking at an older Mercedes - DO NOT Buy!

I leased brand new GLC300C 2017 on Dec 2016. While driving on the highway at 65m/h the vehicle slowed down on its own and lost throttle. Many warning messages started to pop-up on my command center screen (Check engine, collision prevention assist plus inoperative and peeps). I was not able to bring the speed back up no matter what I did. I pulled over to the side called the road assistance. I managed to make it to the dealership at 25m/h speed. After multiple visits to the dealer workshop they fixed loosing throttle problem. After few weeks I have the check engine light. I went back to the dealer more than once. They fixed the check engine light. Recently I have the (Collision prevention assist plus inoperative) message all the time. I confirmed with this message that the automatic stop to prevent collision doesnt work. Went to the dealership they said there is no fix to this problem. Did anyone has the same issue with your car similar to mine?

I bought a certified Mercedes E350 at a Mercedes dealership in NJ in 2016.
I bought a certified Mercedes E350 at a Mercedes dealership in NJ in 2016. This vehicle was bought at night. I was given the vehicle to take home and since it was certified with a full warranty, I felt confident that the vehicle was in great condition with no issues. After all, the certified warranty has requirements the vehicle must meet before it can be certified. My vehicle must have been the exception. There was a long list of issues which made it apparent that this vehicle shouldnt have been certified. I was lied to about the vehicle being in an accident, bad brakes, squeaky steering, broken remote, deep 18 inch long gouges in the windshield and rear glass, many other things and, the focus of this story, the TeleAid was intermittently inoperable. Some of these issues were fixed by me having to get them to pick up the car and take it the car back to the dealership for repair. Some issues were created by them driving it. Once I received my car back with bent wheels which were the result of potholes near the dealership. The dealer brought it back anyway, I had to get them to come get it so they could fix the wheels. They fixed the wheels, but 6 months later, the finish of the wheels was faulty. They blamed it on me saying the other side of the car were the wheels they had fixed and the other wheels had to be something I did. My car but they know more than me about it. Even now, 5 years after purchase, it still has issues that the dealer never fixed. One issue is the TeleAid system is inoperable much of the time as I mentioned above. This is the system that costs $600 per year for the subscription and does basically the same thing as OnStar but for twice the cost. I brought this in to the Mercedes dealer where I purchased it numerous times while still under the certified warranty for the TeleAid to be repaired. Every time I was told they couldnt find the issue. This left me without the option to use the system for safety and convenience due to its unreliability. Now 5 years later, I had to bring my car to the Mercedes dealer, a different Mercedes dealer, for the airbag recall among other things. The mechanic runs a short scan and finds the TeleAid issue on the first day its there. The antenna has been the issue all this time since it was first purchased. Will Mercedes own the issue since it shouldnt have been there when I bought the Certified vehicle in the first place? NO. Will Mercedes honor the original warranty since the issue was brought to their attention while the car was covered by the certified warranty? NO. Even though it was brought to the Mercedes dealer for this issue at least 4 times within the first year I owned the vehicle? NO. Even though I have documentation from the dealership showing I told them about the problem and they didnt fix it, documentation from the time it was covered? NO. Even though the corporate customer service representative told me at the time to document the TeleAid issue so that if its figured out when the warranty is expired, they will know it was an issue under the warranty and they will fix it for free? NO. What does Mercedes wonderful customer service department say? Not the dealership but the Mercedes main customer service, the ones who are supposed to help when the dealer doesnt? They said, Well, the representative who said that doesnt work here anymore. They said they would give me a sales incentive to buy another Mercedes, but they will not take financial responsibility for the issue because its not under warranty. They said this repeatedly like they were reading a script. They are actually under the impression that a customer could be treated this poorly and then, because of a nondescript sales incentive, the customer will forget their entire frustrating experience and buy another Mercedes. I was under the belief that Mercedes was a company known for excellence in customer service. I found they would rather lose a customer than pay to fix a vehicle issue that should have never been there when the car was sold. The best part of Mercedes being willing to lose a customer is that the issue would only cost $240.00 to fix. In my opinion, what the dealer does is puts a certified warranty on the car, which they pay for. Then they leave to problems for the customer to find, bring the car back in, and then charge the warranty company for the repairs they perform. That is exactly what happened with me. So, in closing, I have lost almost all respect for Mercedes as a company. With the exception of a few dealership employees, the company is horrible to deal with. They refuse to do the right thing by their customers. The only reason for the 2 star rating instead of a 1 star rating is my experience with one service manager. He deserves 5 stars and a raise, the rest of this company was a waste of my money and many hours of my time in trying to resolve issues that should have never existed. If this saves one person from blindly buying a certified Mercedes, Ill be happy. Dont trust the image, its not accurate.

On November 2011, my 2005 SLK350 stopped shifting out of first gear. I had car towed to EuroMotors, and they did diagnostic test for $105.00. They told me it would be $4,331.15 to fix. I called a local import repair shop and had it towed to them. The owner of the shop has had the car for 2 months, trying to get parts from Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes keeps saying the repair parts are back-ordered and that Mercedes dealerships get them first. I spoke to a Mercedes service manager in California, who informed me that this transmission valve body and intake manifolds are widespread problems with their cars. I then called MB of North America, and they denied there was a widespread problem and that there is no recall. They told me that the independent import repair owner can order these parts. The owner of the repair shop has called every dealership in the tri-state area and was being told he cant order the parts needed to repair my little red car that I have painstakingly paid for over the last 5 years.I had car towed again to MB Keenan Motors, and they said they have to do a diagnostic test. I told them I already did that and would have results sent to them. No, they said, cant accept tests from different dealership. I have been told that the transmission is a widespread problem, and yet, MB will not recall. I would like to research a class-action suit.

I purchased my first Mercedes Benz, 2007 GL450 in 2010 from CarMax in Louisville. The car is very nice in luxury but has been a money pit from day one! After thousands of dollars in repairs, I still owe $12k and cannot afford to sell it with all the issues it has. I still need about $8000.00 more in repairs!Well, last night I drove to dinner with some friends. Approx. 45 miles rt. I parked it in my garage at 6:30pm. At 12:30 am I went out to the garage to take the trash out before retiring for the night and I felt heat from the Mercedes as if it had been in the sun for hours. I felt the hood and it was very hot on the right side of the front hood. So I pulled it outside the garage, in case of a fire! Mercedes does not intend to help me with this issue. I will have to call a tow truck today and be without my car. I was suppose to work in Chicago this week. Now I cannot. This is going to cost me loss in pay and tons of money. I am in fear of my life, but is need to work! I just read several reviews that this model has caught fire and destroyed homes and lives. I dont know where to turn for help. MB needs to recall these cars! ASAP! Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

I bought a new E550. MB promises that their mbrace plan is included in the price of a new vehicle for the first 6 months. Yet, for activation, they insist on a credit card number. When challenged why they need a credit card to activate something that was included in the price of the vehicle, they say its their policy and that after five months, I would have the option of not continuing with it. I find this reverse marketing unacceptable - that is, you have bought something unless you cancel it in time. A credit card is not a legal requirement in the US. I could have chosen to pay through a bank account etc. MBUSA talks nonsense about their interest in my well-being with mbrace to which I say, activate what I have paid for without demanding a credit card number and make mbrace free for the life of ownership. Obviously, mbrace is more interested in marketing and receipts than my well-being.

Got the car on 1 November 2013. Four times the car engine went dead suddenly while I was driving on a highway at 110km/hr, once at 80km/hr, and once at 60km/hr. It give a sign of slippery road, refer to your manual. I was forced to steer to the side of the highway before the car came to a total stop. Must quickly turn on the ignition twice to restart the car. Sometimes it gives wrong warning like you should take a break now.... which is to warn that I am not driving straight. The car was sent back for service. A service man said was a small problem and they have fixed it alright.Unfortunately, it happened again. Now the car is in the service center again. It has been a month already but I they have not figured out what is the problem. Me and my family insist on returning the car. Terrifying Near-Death Experience! For the first few days, I did not hear from the service center until I sent an email to the head office in Malaysia, cc to head office in Germany. Immediately they called to say I could use their s-class Merz until the total diagnosis is done. I refused cos I want to return the default car. I cant sell my car in order to buy another but I am paying installment RM3000+++ I have sleepless night. They said depreciated write off cost would be very high if I am to sell the car. Why I need to bear all the cost? Been searching on the internet and I have found that there are similar cases happened to other Merz owners.

I had a 2006 ML350. It spontaneously caught fire as it was parked two hours after I had driven it. The firemen state in the report it was an electrical fire and started from a short in the rear taillight harness, much like the investigation in the C-class. They could determine that in only twenty minutes time. I brought this to Mercedes Benz USAs attention and they were careless about the safety dangers that this caused/posed. They said it wasnt a manufacturers defect. Might I remind you the car had been parked for 2 hours. God forbid if consumers found out that the ML-class would be involved in the same investigation as the C-class. They were of more concern about this being leaked or exposed and tried to sweep my case under the rug. They held my vehicle for about 2 months for their investigation and not to have any conclusion of the manufacturers defect is complete BS. They told me that the fire was inconclusive and not a manufacturers defect. Get this! They only gave me one case manager and limited me only to speak with her. After I had asked to speak to numerous other managers and higher ups they told me I strictly couldnt. After being trapped in this corporate cover up I had nowhere else to turn. SUSAN (my west coast regional case manager). How many other vehicle cases did they sweep under the rug like mine? Ive just purchased a 2012 ML350. Though the ride and the overall quality of the vehicle is nice, the door lock on the passenger door came defective. Weve had to wait over a week to get the part to fix the problem, but the auto-lock function does not work. A company like MB cant even get a simple thing like the door lock. Its going to be serviced again, which my car will be in service more days then driven. This ruins the new car buying experience. I bought the car through Dez at Long Beach MB. I had the service done at House of Imports in Buena Park, CA. Not only I had to wait over ten days for the part to arrive, when it arrived some parts were missing, so I had to wait over the weekend and then some to get my car back. When everything is thought to be fixed, it wasnt. The consequence of this defective part and questionable workmanship is having the new car buying experience ruined and it ruined the image of MB. This is my third MB, and this is not something that happens to supposedly one of the most luxurious brands in the world. ML may not be their best car, but it may well be their most important vehicle this year. I cant understand how this could happen to a MB vehicle. Id understand if it was made in China like vehicles.

Explained 1st time that it was just the software update requirement and paid $150. 2nd time was advised that there is lack of Blutec fluid which was wrong because there was no sign on the dashboard for that. 3rd was another reason, Problem with the oxygen sensor. The estimate to change the sensor is $950.At 3rd time I found the oil leak in my garage so the tech checked out and mentioned that the oil leak is from engine and it is 13 to 14 hours job to fix because top half of the engine needs to be removed. Total cost is $2600 for this job. Total $3500 expense after paying 60k for the luxury car. I have several other cars like Chevy Venture and Lexus 470 and more than $100000 car and took to the dealer for just oil change or tire change. Ive been working with the HQ in NJ to get it covered under warranty because it is just 9000 over the limit of 50k warranty manufacturer provide. Serious safety issue on 2012 ML550: My pregnant wife, 2-year-old son and I were bounced like popcorn in the car on a highway when the air suspension failed again in 10 days after the first repair. My 2012 ML550, bought in February 2012 with 10,000 km, ran into a serious safety issue. The air suspension failed twice in just 10 days. The Airmatic suspension system leaks and failed twice within two weeks. The first time was on November 27, on a trip to the hospital with my wife to do the pregnancy test; malfunction in dash at a stop sign after 40 minutes on the highway. The rear of the car sagged and could not be raised. I barely drove it home. It was bumpy all the way while my wife was tested positive for pregnancy on the day. It was towed to the dealer. They found a leaky distribution line in the air suspension system and they claimed they fixed it on the next day. But we felt the air suspension very stiff ever since. Then 10 days later on December 10, a day before we decided to send it back to dealer for a check-up, while dining out, driving on the highway at high speed, the malfunction in dash appeared and the rear of the car sagged again! My pregnant wife and 2-year-old son and I were bounced like popcorn on the flat bed in the car and barely drove it home. We had it towed to dealer soon after. There were more problems with the air suspension this time: replaced valve, relay, and now the compressor needed to be replaced also and had to be ordered from Germany. The car is disabled at the dealership at the time of this writing. The car is unsafe to drive now. It is less than a year and with only 10,000 km on it. I demand the full money back including HST from the manufacture because the manufacture has refused to replace me with a new car at no cost.

I have a 2010 C300 MB and the driver seat tore at the seam. It tore at about 65,000 miles. I didnt report it until over 100,000 miles. I guess supposedly that was my biggest fault but quite frankly now I dont even believe they would have done anything about it back then. The seat is made cheaply from low quality fake leather... even if it did tear at 100,000 that is not ok either. I have had many lesser brand name cars with many more miles than this and I can say not once has a driver seat seem given away. I would only see this issue for a fraction of a second as I entered the car to sit down... out of sight out of mind. (My bad!!?) That being said I am just warning people not to buy the C300 series due to poor quality seats... poor quality that the MB USA wont even stand up for when it fails prematurely... unless you think a seat failing at 65 or even 100k miles isnt premature. The passenger seat motor also failed which I didnt complain about and had to pay to replace myself. I didnt want to pay again for another sub par piece of equipment so I reached out to MB and got no assistance. Even after going by the dealer they supposedly talked to MB USA and they refused to help I was told. After calling MB USA they had no record of me going to the dealership with this issue. Shocking! Very very poor customer service and basically standing up to do the correct thing. I have driven BMWs the past 25 years. It looks like I am going back to a BMW!!! They just made my decision easy!! Maybe BMW would have said the same thing I do not know, but I drove many for the past 25 years with more miles on them than this MB and funny enough I never had to call BMW (or Ford or GMC) to ask them to fix it BECAUSE IT NEVER TORE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! I have to admit I always put MB sort of on a pedestal but this experience surely brought them crashing down to earth!!! And they have landed in a ditch!!! Btw, I am now also driving around in a car that MB told me could kill me because of a faulty air bag, but they cant replace it yet... keep on driving it... Sounds like a great idea too!! Not!

I got a brand new Mercedez-Benz 2015 C300. The luxury style with the grill that opens and closes. I got the car December of 2014, making my time with the car a bit over a year. For that whole time, my car has spent more time in the service center than I have with it. It started off with an ants that it was shipped with the car. It took them 2 months to figure it out. The ants would cover me and my 1 year old (at the time) while I was driving. Then the grill would not open, it malfunctioned, and it took them another 2 weeks to fix because they had to order the parts. Then it was the electrical, my car would not open. I would be able to drive to one location and then when trying to open the car using the remote or the door, it would not open, so I would get locked out of my car in the rain with my 2-year-old daughter. They fixed it.Then the car would just stop. It would come to a complete stop and shut off and not turn back on, another fix they said. After that, the engine, apparently for a year, I have been driving around with faulty Pistons. For some reason after all the time my car has spent there, they did not realize that the pistons were faulty, so my car would make a loud whirring noise. At that point I contacted Mercedes-Benz USA for the 4th time and they said they would look into it. Within hours of getting my car back, it had the same problem. More loud whirling and do you know what those amazing lovely people at Mercedes-Benz USA would tell me? We can offer you one months worth of payments for all your troubles.Yet my car is constantly going to need repairs and they are unwilling to either replace the car, terminate the financial agreement or buy me out of the car which I was willing to pay for another one. I just do not feel safe having me or my daughter in the car with so many problems. They do not care about the fact the car is going to need constant repairs because its under warranty. I am angry and disgusted at the treatment I am receiving from this car company.

I come to make a statement of the worst auto customer service I have ever had. My wife and I contacted Mercedes-Benz dealer in Silver Springs, Maryland on January, 21st, 2017 to buy a 2017 Certified Pre-owned Mercedes GLC 300 4MATIC. After test-drive and negotiation, we decided to finance the car with a down payment. As it was Saturday evening and MB Financial services was already closed, all financial approval would be done next week.On the next Monday, January 23rd, I was informed by the dealer that in order to get the financing approved I had to cash down 50% of the value of the car and provide Bank Account statements, pay stubs, Lawful Permanent Resident ID and other documents. I was not surprised since I recently relocated to the USA and I already knew my Credit Score was low. So I made it happen by providing all documents required and by doing an International Wire Transfer to fulfill the amount necessary for the buy. As this transfer was done with urgency, I had to pay extra fees to get the money ready for buy.On Tuesday, January 24th, I was informed that the financing would had been approved and I no longer had to cash down 50% of the value of the car, but about 15%. And car would be delivered on Thursday afternoon, January 26th. In the meantime, I got the car insured and pay for the first monthly payment of it. On Thursday afternoon, Delivery Day, my wife and I returned our rental car and took an Uber to the MB dealer. Everything seemed usual until the big disappointment came. After we had signed part of the contract documents for the buy, we were informed by the manager that they did no longer had approval from MB Financial Services to our financing.Long story short, we came back empty handed, or better said by feet. We were rudely sent alway without any worry by dealer staff if we had the means to come back home. Not even a taxi was called. To conclude, together with all financial loss we had (early returning of a prepaid rental car, Uber, auto insurance and fees on international wire transfer), we suffered prejudice for being immigrants, although we are highly schooled people with Lawful Permanent Residency. The reputation of Mercedes-Benz as one of the greatest auto brands simply vanished for me and my family. The Star lost its bright!

I bought my 2016 C300 Mercedes approx. six months ago. Three months after I bought it I started hearing a beeping noise that is coming from the engine when its turned off. The beep last 2-3 seconds and happens every 6 seconds. The dealer initially told me theyve never heard of something like this but after I showed them my google search they said theyd look into it for me. Today I sent them a video of the noise and they said that its coming from the AC equalizing pressure which is normal. Im very frustrated because Ive never had a car that makes any noise like this. We purchased this Mercedes and expected to be getting a well-built car. We are very disappointed in the quality and that Mercedes expects us to just live with this noise because its normal.

I had problem with rear camera on model S550 year 2016 from the beginning. Took it multiple times to Benz dealership and they failed to fix it. Finally I stop the lease payments and took the car back to the dealership, after several weeks the dealership called me and said Benz decided to ground the vehicle and return it to their inventory. I got my tags and returned them to MVA, now Benz is denying the facts and is asking me to continue to pay the lease until the vehicle is fixed and they admitted that they have no fix for it. Their service and customer support is so bad, I hope government look into their unfair practices. Any suggestions will be helpful. They are awful and ignorant.

Took the car for a thorough checkup prior to the factory warranty expiration. This car has only 25,000 miles. Service agent said car checked out fine. She did some minor work. To my dismay 4 months later there is an oxygen sensor issue and the engine light is on indicating either sensor or a computer panel issue which could cost thousands. The service agent Lorena was extremely rude and even told me why dont I have my friend who tested this and found out, fix my car since its out of warranty. This is unbecoming of Mercedes Benz and she should not be working there period.

First time buyer of a Mercedes car and of course I choose the redesigned 2017 E400. Let me tell you, what an awful ride and the number of issues I have had with this car…. this should be considered a Lemon. Complained to head office, service department and searched the internet…so much wasted time back & forth from the dealer. For the amount of money, I have spent I wish I never got this car. Mercedes has left a bad taste in my mouth and I could not even recommend them to a friend. Issue – Engine stalling, noisy engine, power window issues, awful ride (even confirmed by the shop manager), broken wiper handle, driver seat not staying in place, door leds blown, the new navigation/radio functionality not working properly, and so on….For an E-Class and the price tag, it is not worth it.

I will be very brief. THIS IS THE WORST SUV YOU CAN GET. Having this experience now I would love to get Hyundai or 2 of them for the same price and live a quiet life with money leftover so I can go to Hawaii. Problems, problems and problems, MBUSA is a worst dealership in US which does not even stand behind their products. My local garage was more helpful than their service. Just an example (not to mention legendary brake light socket problems), both of my front doors power locks have stopped working after 15 months (could not survive one winter in New York due to cheap plastics used in actuators or something). Even my Ford Expedition truck is better quality than ML350 and I have never liked Ford quality. BUYER BEWARE: STAY AWAY FROM MERCEDES BENZ. I AM SURE THAT CHINESE ARE MAKING BETTER CARS THESE DAYS THAN GERMANS. SHAME ON THEM. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND HEADACHE.

Our 2015 S63 Coupe has leather that is peeling back and shrinking on the dash. Granted this is partially my fault because we leave our black car in the South Florida sun for long periods of time, but a car that cost us $194k plus taxes should hold up a little better in the heat. Even though the car is still under warranty, Mercedes Benz USA will not cover the dash. Needless to say we will not be purchasing another Mercedes in the near future.

CLEARLY MANUFACTURER PROBLEM!!! Traded in my 2011 Mercedes Benz E350 for a 2016 Mercedes Benz E350; my favorite vehicle and fourth one I have owned. I only drive it on the weekends, Since the purchase in May of 2019. I have driven the 2016 probably 10 times on Sundays to church. It has never left the state of Georgia. Upon returning from being at Church all day Sunday February 16, 2020 730 am to 730pm. I parked the car in my garage, an hour or so later I realized I forgot something in the car. Hearing a crackling noise I began to look at the golf cart charger and the only other thing in my garage, the car. The rear window had completely shattered! it appears as though the sealant is missing from the upper left and right corners of the rear of the vehicle. MICHAEL G OF Mercedes tells me there is nothing they can do since there arent any open recalls. I have never seen such a thing! **

I purchased my Gla250 From Mercedes Benz in Ft Myers Florida 12/2014. I started having problems with my tire, bad smell in the car and a rattling noise. I have been to three Mercedes dealers, Ft Myers, Orlando and Naples trying to resolve these issues. I have also contacted customer service and nothing has been done. Dealing with Mercedes has been the worst experience ever. Mercedes Benz customer service does nothing to correct the issues. I am driving around a $40 luxury (supposedly) car, with a rattling sound that smells like crap inside. I assumed that Mercedes was a car manufacturer that stands behind their product but it is obviously not. My previous car was a Lexus and Mercedes can take lessons from them on Customer service. Whatever you do, DO NOT Buy Mercedes Brand!!! Consider any other car manufacturer. You will be sorry if you choose Mercedes.

In July of 2011, I purchased a certified pre-owned Mercedes E350 with about 10,000 miles on it. Now, less than 3 months of owning this car, the air conditioning smells awful when I turn it on, I mean it literally smells like feces or sewage. I stopped by the Mercedes dealer today (8-October-2011) where I purchased it from only to be told that Mercedes is not warranting this problem. I was told he had 4 customers just this week reporting the exact same thing. It would be my responsibility to pay for what would be the amount of a temporary fix; replacing the cabin air-filter and spraying some Lysol-type disinfectant in the coil condensate box, costing around $180 to $200. This same scenario would need to be repeated at least yearly or more often. The service adviser himself even stated he did not agree with Mercedes not warranting this problem, and even stating that Mercedes does not believe it to be a problem. Well try driving my car with the A/C on with the smell that immediately begins to fill the car. It nearly makes you want to vomit so bad. My A/C is virtually unusable because of it. I have owned Mercedes cars since 2008 and not once have I had an issue, until now. And this is making me seriously contemplate selling the car (at a substantial loss because who wants to buy a car that smells like sewage) and buying something else. I had considered myself to be a lifelong Mercedes owner/driver, but if they refuse to stand by their product, then why should I remain loyal to them? It is an engineering and design defect that needs to be retrofitted and corrected. Come on Mercedes, do something about this, or I wont be the only Mercedes customer that youll lose to another manufacturer.

Hi there. Whoever is reading this is my experience. I fought with my cousin for many years, Who is better Benz or Audi? I could not take it from him saying Audi is better. But now after owning many of Mercedes I realized he was right. I have a Mercedes Metris that I bought last year for $40,000 for my company. Used it for year and putting 30k on it. Worth now $18,000. Seriously. Tires are worn already pieces inside a car. They start falling apart. Looks more like Kia or any other cheap car. Whats happening Mercedes? You cant afford competition anymore. Then stop producing this cars. We will buy 30-years-old ones. They run better and have great value. I also own 2010 ML appraised $12,300 only 70,000 miles... I am moving to any other car but you Mercedes. Bye.

I purchased a Benz E250 Coupe 2 Door in 2010 straight from the dealership. The vehicle was hardly used and is mostly driven by a driver and no passengers and has only been driven less that 30,000km. Last year the front passenger seat, when you try to adjust the seat forward or backward only one side moves. Therefore the seat becomes one sided. When we took it in to the dealership they said that the mechanism under the seat needs to be changed. Guess how much it costs? Close to USD5000.00. How can a prestigious vehicle such as this have a defective part that powers a seat that was hardly ever used? Inferior comes to mind. So how can I get some relief?

Cricks/Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast and my first van Lemon story had a mass
Cricks/Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast and my first van Lemon story had a massive impact on me and my business. When I purchased a brand new Mercedes Sprinter van I was immediately faced with continuous faults, breakdowns and issues with the engine and the mechanical working of the vehicle. After months of Cricks mechanics working on my vehicle and replacing parts constantly due to many different mechanical issues, Mercedes (Melbourne) representatives decided to inspect my vehicle whilst another harmonic balancer was being installed (this was the 5th one replaced!). This vehicle directly impacted on the success of my business and cause massive grief for me during this period as I purchased the vehicle believing what I was told by the sales staff ie; a very reliable vehicle for my mobile business. My experience during this time was that I was advised that my van would be repaired ‘as good as new’ by close of business that day (2012). I was then contacted approximately 5 minutes before close of business that it was not ready and they needed to order another harmonic balancer. This was the fifth one replaced and would be another 4 days?! This van had been towed 10 times during the first 8,000 kms. I have so many stories about my customers having to push this van out of their premises. I was continually forced to wait for tow trucks, wasting hours/days of business time. This van spent more time in Cricks workshop than on the road. This van had so many issues and gave me so much hell, as well as impacting on me, my health, my family and most of all my business. My business is a mobile business and I was definitely not mobile due to this van.One particular incident that I will never forget, was when the van just stopped, ‘turned off’ in the middle of the D’Aguilar Highway and a truck almost hit me at highway speed, missing me by cm‘s - an extremely frightening event! When I finally was able to negotiate a new agreement for the lemon that I bought, I thought this was the beginning of a new start for me - not knowing my nightmare had just begun all over again. I thought my new van was perfect, faultless and not thinking that Garry Cricks would let me down again.I believe that they have not serviced my vehicle correctly, not repaired faults, and treated me extremely poorly and deliberately told me false information. MB Sprinter Van is the worst vehicle I have ever bought! Had it 5 months and has been towed 10 times in first 8000km. And this was my fifth harmonic balancer to be replaced. I am on my 2nd Lemon. Most unreliable van ever! - we are forced to make repayments on a vehicle that sits in the workshop being repaired constantly. Garry Crick Maroochydore the Dealership that sold us the van do not reply to our complaints, cannot give us any help or assistance and lie. The dealer was just as bad as the car. That‘s another story I want to forget. When buying a new Van record everything they say. It will help you later. When I started to talk about the problems, I found many others that were as bad or worse than mine. I thought paying the extra money would get me a quality vehicle. Not worth the extra money and certainly not the quality that the name live up. This is unacceptable and a result of the deliberate engineering of products so they only last for the warranty period. This is deliberate exploitation and blatant theft. We are sick of it. We bought a new Mercedes Sprinter so we wouldnt have these problems.Let‘s take this to court. We need as many people to come forward as possible. If you are one of many please message me: **. I am interested in collecting owner information of those individuals or companies who have had major expenses & Faults in maintaining Mercedes Benz Sprinters and cars, who would be interested in being included in a class action lawsuit again Mercedes Australia.

We have owned our Mercedes C230 since we bought it new in 2007. The Mercedes has outlasted our BMW 325i and our Toyota Tundra. The car still drives like new. Of course we have had regular maintenance performed regularly, just like we did on the previous mentioned vehicles. As of today, everything on the Mercedes is working properly. Unfortunately we can not say the same about the BMW or Toyota. Don’t get me wrong, the BMW and Toyota still had strong engines, it was the many little thing that went wrong. I would strongly recommend the Mercedes. We have purchased an E class Mercedes and are confident it will be as great as our still C230.

Have a 3500 Sprinter Van purchased new in 2011... In the past year, have spent over $10,000 in repairs. The latest issue is that the drive shaft universal joints have to be replaced and the Mercedes dealership tells me that the whole shaft has to be replaced as the universals cannot be changed on their own?????? 2,000 for what would be a $200 job anywhere else. Seems everything about this van to repair is expensive... Def heater $2,000, trouble diagnosis $200, headlights rotted out in two years, alternator in three, blows out lights on a regular basis, radio has not worked since it was ahead old, etc etc etc... I bought a 2003 Mercedes E500 in early 2015. Thought I was getting a good deal on a used luxury car with less than a 100k miles. In less than a year I have spent a little over 3 thousand dollars in repairs. And that is going somewhere other than the actual dealership which would of cost me 3X as much! One of the main reasons I bought a Mercedes was because I thought they were supposed to be reliable cars. The only thing I have been able to rely on is that I will be in the shop every other month. On a positive note I took it in to the dealership for a fuel system problem that Mercedes were covering under an extended warranty and the service was great. They treated me very well, fed me and made me comfortable. And the car is a dream to drive when its working but I have a problem with the esp and some brake sensor now that is gonna cost me 2 grand bringing up the cost of repairs to near what I paid for the car in the first place in less than a year. There is no reason for anyone to buy a used Mercedes. The only people who can afford the repair costs of a Mercedes are the people who can afford a new Mercedes and if you can afford the repairs on a used Mercedes you should just buy a new Mercedes. Used Mercedes should just go straight to the junkyard so poor people like me dont get tricked into buying these money pits.
