2025 Lexus NX

The 2025 Lexus NX continues as one of Lexus’s most versatile and popular luxury compact SUVs, blending sharp design, premium comfort, advanced technology, and a wide range of powertrains to fit different driving styles. For 2025, the NX remains largely in its current generation but features refinements to its tech suite, safety features, and available options, keeping it highly competitive in the segment.

Design and Exterior

The NX carries its signature bold styling with a sculpted body, pronounced spindle grille, sleek LED headlights, and an athletic stance. The 2025 model introduces subtle updates in trim finishes, wheel designs, and paint colors, giving buyers more personalization choices. The NX’s proportions remain compact yet upscale, making it ideal for city driving without sacrificing a strong road presence.

Interior and Comfort

Inside, the 2025 NX continues to emphasize Lexus’s craftsmanship and attention to detail. The cabin is quiet and lined with premium materials such as soft-touch leather, wood, and aluminum accents. Seating is ergonomically designed for comfort with available heated and ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Rear seating provides respectable legroom for its class, and cargo space is practical for everyday use.

Technology

The NX comes equipped with Lexus’s latest infotainment system, built around a large touchscreen display (9.8-inch standard, 14-inch available). Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice assistant functionality, and over-the-air updates are included. Audiophiles can opt for the premium Mark Levinson sound system. Additional features such as a panoramic view monitor, head-up display, and digital key compatibility enhance convenience.

Performance and Powertrains

The 2025 Lexus NX lineup offers a broad range of engines to meet different needs:

NX 250: Powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder producing 203 hp, paired with an 8-speed automatic. Available in FWD or AWD.

NX 350: A turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder making around 275 hp, offering a stronger balance of performance and efficiency, with standard AWD.

NX 350h (Hybrid): Combines a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder with electric motors for 240 hp. Delivers excellent fuel economy and standard AWD.

NX 450h+ (Plug-in Hybrid): The most advanced version, producing 304 hp with an estimated all-electric range of around 35–40 miles, ideal for drivers seeking both luxury and sustainability.

Each powertrain is tuned for smoothness and quiet operation, in line with Lexus’s refined driving character.

Safety

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, offering features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, pre-collision detection with pedestrian and cyclist detection, and road sign recognition. Optional features include advanced park assist and a digital rearview mirror.

Trims and Options

The NX is available in multiple trims, including Luxury and F Sport versions. The F Sport trim emphasizes sporty styling and sharper handling with features like sport-tuned suspension, unique interior trim, and more aggressive exterior design.

Pricing and Availability

The 2025 Lexus NX is priced competitively in the luxury compact SUV market, starting around the mid-$40,000 range for the NX 250 and climbing into the mid-$60,000s for the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid with all options included.

Verdict

The 2025 Lexus NX is a well-rounded luxury SUV that combines style, advanced tech, a wide range of powertrain options, and Lexus’s signature refinement. With hybrid and plug-in hybrid models available alongside traditional gas engines, it appeals to both performance-focused and eco-conscious buyers.

The Lexus ES350 was top rated for safety and was a Best Buy for 2017. Comfortable and easy to drive, with enough power for emergency situations. I like the rearview camera and lane departure warning systems. The lane departure warning is very helpful, as well as the backup camera. Controls are easy to reach on the dashboard. But I do not like the driver side seat as compared to my BMW seats as it does not hold you in the seat enough. I also dislike the seat headrest as it is too far forward.

From what I gather, Lexus makes great quality luxury vehicles and you cant go wrong with a single model made by the brand. Its very comfortable, which makes long trips so much easier on my back! It comes with lots of unique features & models to choose from when adjusting temperature, seating position & even a variety of lighting within the car. But the most used extra feature would be the seat warmers for sure. The care and maintenance bought in advance when purchasing your vehicle is the smartest way to handle yearly cost. Their seats are extremely roomy and comfortable. The backseat comes with a fold down armrest & cup holder for additional backseat passengers. Driver isnt the only one with a seat warmer. The front passenger also has warming setting. Both seats have their own dial so temperatures can vary per seat.

I purchased my 2919 RX450H in December of 2019 off the showroom floor with 250 miles. The first year of having my car, my car shut down on me two times. Both times I was on my way to a patients home. While in route to my clients home I started receiving Hybrid System Malfunction warnings, Pre-Collision Malfunction and Check Engine, immediately after that I received a warning to pull over to a safe place immediately and within .03 miles it automatically shut off without me being able to pull over to a safe place. By the second time, I went into the dealership and I spoke to the GM at the Lexus dealership in Orland about the car being very unsafe for me to drive because I never know when it’s going to just shut down on me and that I would like for Lexus to give me another car exactly like mine. I informed him the only reason I chose Lexus over the other high end cars was due to its safety history. He informed me that the dealership aren’t able to mark my car as a lemon write off only Lexus corporation have the legal right to do that. I contacted Lexus corporation. Filled out all the required paperwork along with the service that had been performed on my vehicle due to my shutting off while driving. I later received a letter stating they reviewed my case. Could not mark my car as a lemon. I’m here to say that my car just shut down on me again for the 3rd time for the exact same reason with only 20k miles on it!! I spoke to the GM at the Lexus dealership in Orland again informing him how upset I am and this is unacceptable and how I can’t believe Lexus isn’t standing behind their brand considering how they brag as being ranked as one of the safest cars on the road! Lexus doesn’t stand by their name and don’t care about their customers safety!! I do not recommend Lexus to anyone if this is how they stand behind their brand!!! I feel like Lexus IS saying “you’re on your own and deal with it”!

There are very nice features on each model that they carry. The colors are very bright and colorful, and running is smooth. A lot of nice cars to choose - many sizes, model, very good price for what youre getting and safety is a big factor also. The room in the car is great. The family and all the cargo I put in it while we get ready for a trip is unbelievable and I still have plenty of room left. The upgrade and performance is very good on this car. The personalized features are actually what I wanted and I could not ask for anything more.

Im dissatisfied by the lack of concern from Lexus for the issue Im having with a 6yr old vehicle. A Lexus dealership advised that my vehicle needs a new transmission and again the car is only 6yrs old. I spoke with a case manager who said there was nothing she could do about it. I asked to escalate the complaint and was told management had already made the decision. I asked to speak to someone in management and was told management doesnt speak to customers. What horrible customer service from Lexus if this is indeed true. I will never purchase another Lexus and cant wait to get rid of this car. I will also make sure those close to me do not have to deal with the same amount of frustration and advised them to not waste their money on a Lexus because they dont care about their customers. The garage door opener on my new RX350 opens the door from inside the garage, and closes the door when sitting directly in front of the garage. But with the door closed it wont open the door. I have a $12 mobile opener clipped to my visor. Service department sent out a tech to verify that I had the opener programmed correctly. IT worked for him one time, but then wouldnt work for me. He came back and couldnt get it to work. I think the signal is just weak, or the antenna is not hooked up. But I dont like not being able to open the garage door with my $53k car. Im sure this is not a common problem for Lexus but Id like to see some resolution to this problem.

My headlight has condensation in it which is a very common problem for Lexus headlights. I called. They want 400 to look at it and over 2,000 for a headlight. How come this issue is not a recall is beyond me. You expect to have a safe and reliable car. But the lights just turn off out of nowhere. I have been pulled over 2 times. Not only do I endanger myself and my kids but other peoples lives too. And you think they would try to help you but no. I was so much happier with my Honda Accord - way better car and way cheap. Never again will I buy a Lexus again. Never!!! Worst customer service ever. And thats just the beginning, so no they do not keep their customers happy at all. I called the corporate and the woman I spoke with was just rude. I should have gotten her name, but I was just so mad. This is just ridiculous.

I brought my wife’s 2002 in for regular service to Palm Beach Lexus. It needed tires and some maintenance, which I authorized. After doing the initial work that I had authorized for around $2,500 they sent me an estimate for approximately $8,500 for items they said also needed repair. One of the items they claimed was faulty, was the engine mounts. Since the car only had 66,000 miles on it, I found that hard to believe since they had replaced the engine mounts previously when the car had about 38,000 miles. My wife and I have been Palm Beach Lexus customers for around 20 years and we have purchased 4 Lexus SUVs from them. We have had good service up until 2-3 years ago when they changed service managers, since then the service has gone downhill. We then took the vehicle to an independent repair shop to see what additional service was actually needed. They came to the conclusion that 50% of the estimate that Palm Beach Lexus gave us, was not at all necessary. They claimed the engine mounts were in like new condition and many of the other items on the estimate were absolutely not necessary. I obviously was upset and called Lexus Guest Experience Center and spoke to Eric ** a case manager. He said that since the vehicle was out of warranty they couldnt and wouldn’t do anything to help and he did not seem at all concerned that the Lexus dealership was inflating estimates. He said since we were good Lexus customers he would give us a $1,500 three month Good Will Offer to purchase or lease another Lexus. I received and filed the Good Will email offer because I was planning on turning in my 2016 RX450H for a new vehicle. Two months later I started shopping for a new Lexus at a different dealership because I was not about to use Palm Beach Lexus. When I looked at the Good Will Offer the expiration date was dated the same date I spoke to the case manager (Eric **). I again called Lexus Guest Experience and ended up speaking with someone else. I told that person I was very disappointed that no one ever followed up on my original claim regarding the false estimate I was give from Palm Beach Lexus. And to make matters worse I was also given a Good Will Offer that expired in one day. That person told me I had to speak with Eric ** the original case manager and he would call me back. Eric ** called me back a few days later and seemed to have a bad attitude. I told him I was in the process of leasing or buying a new Lexus and would appreciate it if they could extend the offer. He said the Good Will Offer was only good for 3 months and he would not extend the offer. He said when the offer expires they would review it. Obviously, I was not very happy with his response. A few weeks later, I found a new 2019 Lexus RX450H at J M Lexus that I was planning to get, so I called Eric ** to get the Good Will Offer authorized. It took him a few days to get back to me and when he did he said he wouldn’t authorize the Good Will Offer until after I purchase the new vehicle. I told him that was unacceptable and I wanted to speak with someone else. He said he is the only one that makes that decision. I told him I was going to write a letter to Lexus Headquarters and he said go ahead, but it’s just going to come back to me. After all this I have no intention of ever purchasing another Lexus.

I have been leasing a 2015 Lexus CT200h. Within 6 months into my lease radio started turning off and resetting back to factory settings. Meaning all my channels, bass, treble settings all of that got deleted. Bluetooth would have to be reconnected each time. I reached out to Lexus of Seattle immediately to resolve the issue. The dealer told me theres nothing they can do about it.. Shocker.. I then reached out to customer satisfaction who then arranged for the car to be looked at, at Lexus of Bellevue. They began telling me its my phone, or my bluetooth connection. After going through 3 different phones and the issue persisting they finally had a technician who was able to have the same issue happen to him while he was connected on HIS personal cell phone. So finally they agreed to replace the radio with a NEW radio. Well after installment of the new radio turns out it wasnt so new, and more than like refurbished because someone else was already listed on the bluetooth connectivity. I had pointed this out to the dealer who simply told me to deal with it and there is nothing else they can do. Fast forward 2.5 years later I am driving a LEXUS with a radio that goes out every other time I drive it. I AGAIN reached out to customer satisfaction which at this point, mind you, this is 3 brand new phones later, 2 stereos later, customer satisfaction is telling me I need to go to the dealer AGAIN, have them mimic the problem AGAIN, (mimicking the problem could take several tries and several trips) and go through the whole procedure which I already had gone through, AGAIN! I kept on explaining to them that there is not justifying this kind of nonsense. If this vehicle clearly has a flaw, either take the vehicle back and call it a lemon or stop wasting my time! This vehicle is a lemon! I have told them this so many times and all they say is that because it is not a safety issue they will not consider it as a lemon. Well, it is a safety issue! When I am driving on the freeway and the radio goes out on a 2015 Lexus am I to pull over every time and quickly try to reset all my channels just so I can have the luxury of listening to music?? Or perhaps I should drive in silence and just reminisce on the good old days when a 1999 Ford would have a working stereo with no issues? This is a safety issue. It distracts me from my drive. It interrupts my drive! I will never consider buying a Lexus again! There has been ZERO customer satisfaction in my whole experience since driving off the lot on this godawful car and the run around that I have been put on to resolve an issue on THEIR car! Its a lease. Its not even my car and Lexus has done nothing to ensure that I am satisfied. Lexus should be embarrassed that a 2015 Lexus doesnt have an operable stereo. So much for Pursuit of perfection. What a joke. I am sure there are by far better manufacturers that appreciate their consumers and go above and beyond to ensure that the consumer is happy. At this point Lexus Customer Satisfaction is telling me to either keep wasting my time, gas, money to go to a dealer to diagnose the faulty stereo (which as stated above has ALREADY BEEN DONE) or there is nothing else they can do... Boy Lexus you really have screwed your reputation. Never did I think I would be saying this about Lexus. Thanks to the lovely Lexus dealers that were least bit helpful, and thank you to Customer satisfaction, the irony in that, I will never been buying, looking, considering or recommending a Lexus to anyone.

My 2007 Lexus 350 right front headlight has had condensation since the time I purchased the vehicle for my wife in November. I am a used car dealer and have always had a preference for the Lexus line due to the quality and customer service. When I contacted our local Lexus dealer (Mcdermott, where I service my Lexus inventory and my personal es330) they indicated that the warranty had just expired in November but they felt Lexus would give me some compensation, if not honor the warranty. After I had the car inspected I was contacted by Lexus and they said, quite frankly, they denied the claim and that was it!! Do not bother to discuss the matter further, that was it. Now I am faced with a bill of $700+ for a problem that Lexus has acknowledged. Is this any way to be treated by a customer and a dealership which specialized in Lexus line?

I purchased a Lexus a few years back for one main reason....reliability. Well let me tell you I have never had as many problems with my Lexus as I have had with any other brand. So far I have replaced water pump, side view mirror, 2 door actuators, battery and now the gateway control module is not shitting down resulting in my battery being dead after 1 day of non use. After three years of ownership I have spent over $4,000 for repairs and now they want another $1,000 for an issue that NHTSA has issued a TSB on but since the battery being dead is not a safety issue no recall has been issued. Both the door actuators and gateway control modules are well documented issues with Lexus and they absolutely will not standby their vehicles. I will never buy another Lexus and looking at the other luxury brands for my business. I will gladly pay more to get reliability as apparently Lexus IS no longer a brand synonymous with reliability.

I own a 2007 Lexus RX350 that was purchased in 2008. It has been a very reliable car with few mechanical issues over the last 11 years. In the last year, my dashboard began to crack and now is split in several places. I contacted my Lexus dealer who negated to even inform me there was a national recall on the dash itself. I had taken my vehicle in for routine service during that recall envelope and not one thing was mentioned! Park Place Lexus/DFW area practically blew off my concerns off and told me to call the Lexus 800 number. I was subsequently told the recall period had expired and their attitude stemmed around them informing me it was MY responsibility to check for recalls. What??? Now my paint is fading/peeling even though my car is perpetually garaged and I work overseas 18 days/month. It only has 67k miles! I really loved my Lexus but my experience with my dealer and Lexus HQ has all but convinced me its time to go with another brand. Lexus... youve lost my business!!! Buyers... The dash started developing very fine hairline cracks about a year ago. Over the last month the cracks have gotten much worse. I have seen even picked up small foam pieces on the floor coming from the dash. It is a real shame since I otherwise like this car. I have informed LEXUS Customer Service via e-mail with pictures about this quality problem and they asked me to take the car to a dealer for evaluation. The dealers replacement estimate was $2519.00. I informed customer Service about the cost and was told that the car was out of warranty... They did not have to offer anything to get it fixed but will give me 25% off the repair. This would still cost me $1889.25, totally unacceptable. I have owned many cars brands in the past and none of them ever had a quality issue like this. When buying a very expensive car anyone expects top quality. I do not understand is why there is such a big cost difference between various dealers for the same repair (based on other posts). Recent history shows that Toyota is reluctant to stand behind their products and if there is a class action lawsuit, I would like to know how to join. Unless Toyota comes forward with a better offer this will be the last car I have bought from them.

Overall, our Lexus has performed very well. But, I do have a few minor complaints. First, the paint on the Lexus is very soft and chips easily. The dealer told me that was because of EPA paint requirements. Funny, my Ford which has more abusive use than the Lexus doesnt have paint chipping. I found out too late that there is a clear coat they could have installed over the front to protect the paint. But then, why should I have to pay extra to keep their paint from chipping. Second, very early on, I noticed a minor clicking sound in the engine. Sounded like a lifter on an older car, but only when its cold. I took it in and they kept it overnight but couldnt hear it. Over the years, its become quite a bit louder and when the engine is cold it sounds like a diesel. I just turned over 100,000 miles on the car and other than brakes and tires, its been painless.

I will never buy another Lexus vehicle. After receiving a recall notice, I waited to take it to the dealer because I was unsure if I was keeping this car. When it was decided to pass it down to my 3rd year medical student, daughter, because of the supposed reliability, I took the vehicle in for the repair. When I left there with a diagnosed timing cover leak, engine oil leak, that occurs in about 100% of these due to a manufacturing problem, and was notified of a $2,800 cost, my trust in this vehicle is over. Not only was that uncovered, but my daughter has complained of the navigation/electrical system shutting off/rebooting approx. 8 times in a 2 hour drive. Jim Hudson Lexus service advisor said I needed an update for $186. Upon further review, I do not believe an update will help. I reached out to Lexus Corporate and after the case manager, finally, reached someone at Jim Hudson, this has been ongoing for about 3 weeks, she called to tell me that Jim Hudson could not create the navigation problem so they did not have a suggestion other than to leave the car with them for further diagnostics. Since the driver is a medical student, 2 hours away, this additional diagnosis time may not be a possibility. Also, she wanted to notify me that Lexus will not be able to help with the repair of the oil leak. After discovering the continued problems with these vehicles, not just the 7 year old ones but the 1 week old ones, I will remove Lexus from my possible cars to buy in the future. Please beware of any Lexus vehicle you are thinking of buying. I do not know how they receive such high ratings.

When you mention the name Lexus you typically think quality. After all, this is not an inexpensive car! Well, the dashboards in several of their models crack (sometimes, all the way across). Their answers: your car has been left out in the sun too often for too long. Well, I would imagine that most people who own Lexus typically keep them garaged. So, why is it that other brand cars (years old, and left out in the sun) do not crack?? The other issue on some of the newer and more expensive models is that the panels (which are made of a synthetic, plastic-like material) get very sticky to the touch. Lexus answer: they were not made for our hot and humid weather that we have here in the South. Youd think they dont have engineers that test their products?? Or, do they just sell their product in cooler climates?

My 2008 Lexus RX350 was towed to the dealer. Battery was dead. I am now told the fuses were burned out probably because the tow driver tried to start the battery. This makes no sense as the driver did the procedure correctly and no sparks came out of battery. They have my car since Wednesday 3/14. Today is Friday and no word when the car will be ready. Currently, the cost is approx $460.00. All I want to know is is this a common problem with all fuses blowing? My car has about 50,000 miles and less than 1 month ago. I had routine service at $300.00 at the same dealer (it was the 50,000 check up which was done at 47,000 miles).I dont want to make trouble but I want to be sure I am not being taken advantage of. I never heard of a car having burn out of fuses due to a bad battery. I repeat, I dont want to make trouble but I would like to know if I am being taken advantage of. Thank you.

Fantastic cars but now if I have an iPhone, which I always had does no fully compatible with the car. I cannot reply by send canned text messages.. According to the dealership it is APPLEs problem and I should switch to an Android phone. My solution is to look at other luxury cars.

I have a 2007 RX350 with 50,000 Km on it. I noticed oil drops on the garage floor. Dealership cleaned underneath the car and when I took it back for them to check where the leak was coming from, they said it was the timing chain cover; the whole engine must come down and the cost would be around CDN$2,500. If I do not have it fixed, can I just top up the engine oil or would there be other consequences?

I purchased 2011 Lexus ISF used with 18K miles. From day 1 I heard rear noise at the right side. They told me they will take care of it by replacing the struts but they need the extended warranty approval. Finally they did after waiting for 1 week, but the noise still remain. Then I have to bring it again for another check with their great master technicians. Then they said need to replace the struts again in case it is DOA, then they changed it again after waiting for another approval, but the noise still there. Then I asked them to bring their expert FTS from somewhere to look at the car. Maybe he can figure it out. Then after he looked at it, he said this is within operating spec - normal noise, and handed me car keys. I then asked them what is the spec? Is all the cars have this noise. They will not talk to me anymore. They were very rude and not respectful to customers. I will escalate to the corporate and to Lexus japan as well to maybe someone care about their car repetition name and business. I will try to reach out to the owner of Lexus of austin that she may need to know about her bad customer service and the poor service she got in her store.

Earlier this year I noticed that my dashboard was sticky to the touch (melting) and the control buttons on my steering wheel were peeling off. After a quick Google search I found a recall on the 2007-2008 Lexus 350 dash and thousands experiencing the issue with peeling controls. When I brought my car in, the dealer said the dashboard recall had just expired and Id need to get approval to fix it along with the peeling controls. Lexus corporate REFUSED to fix their known manufacture errors. Funny, I was planning on buying another Lexus, but Ill spend my hard earned $ with a brand who truly values customers and fixes issues when they are at fault. Lexus claim to quality is bogus!

I have this beautiful Lexus LS460 that looks great on the outside and always kept in the garage. However, when you open the door and see that the door panels and the dashboard have a gray looking film on them and are sticky to the touch it spoils the whole idea of LUXURY AND LEXUS being used in the same sentence. I called the 1 800 Lexus number and they told me there was a recall for this problem but it expired last year in 2017 and that they sent out recall notices. I have lived in the same house for 15 years (longer than I have had the CAR) and I have never received a recall notice on my vehicle. I am frustrated and looks like if I want to fix it that it is going to cost thousands of dollars to do so. I am very disappointed in Lexus! I thought they were a better company than that.

I bought a new 2013 Lexus ES350 last year, and was very excited. It was my first luxury car indulgence. Im 63 years old, and recently retired. Mechanically, the car ran and drove great. But, the lack of common sense creature comforts in the front cabin became such an irritation that I ended up trading it in - even though I took a depreciation hit of over $15K. Here are the specifics:1) It is very difficult to exit the car. The low ground clearance was difficult for me, especially since I have some hip issues. The other factor is that the door does not have an intermediate stop position. So, when you open it, it will tend to start closing on you. Many times I had to kick the door to keep it open, just so I could get out. You learn to do this after it shuts on your leg, which is quite painful. This was an issue for the passengers as well. In addition to just being annoying, the bottom door panel became filthy from all of the foot prints.2) There is ZERO convenient storage in the front cabin. I do a lot of detail work in the car, and just need a flat surface to put stuff down. If you look at the console closely, you will see that there is no flat area at all to put anything. The main console storage area crowns in the middle, and is back too far to be useful as a surface. The navigation joystick occupies the right hand side of the console. The shift lever occupies the left hand side. The beverage holder at the front has a sloped cover. The drivers side beverage holder is typically open, because thats the only place you can put your fob/phone/etc. There are no pockets or storage holes in the side of the center console. The end result is that a lot of stuff ends up dropping down between the console and the seat.3) If something does drop down between the console and the seat, there is no convenient way to retrieve it. The only way is to get out of the car, move the seat all the way forward (very slowly because it is a power seat), then open the rear door, get on your knees and reach under the seat from behind. Because of the power seat mechanism, you cant reach under from the front. Try this outside in 100+ degree heat, and it gets very old very fast. Especially when what you dropped is your key fob.4) This leads to my main complaint: The railings under the seats have not been machined, and have very sharp edges. After suffering my third very serious gash on my hand trying to retrieve what fell between the seat and the console, I just lost it. I traded it in not three days later.5) There is no place to put your phone - or even a sunglasses compartment above the rear view mirror. The only place to put stuff is in the drivers beverage compartment. Its like they went out of their way to remove any convenient storage and/or work area.I know to many, these complaints will seem petty. I guess if you drive a luxury car you shouldnt be concerned with these types of issues. But, after a year of putting up with kicking the door open, dropping stuff between the seat and the console, and getting blood all over my shirt and pants, I just couldnt take it anymore.

Me and my brother were driving from oregon to california. He was in a Lexus 2014 IS 250. We were going down the 5 freeway around 65-70mph when I saw his brake lights turn on and he lost control of the car. Before he hit the division line you could see how the brake lights were on but the car didnt stop, it just burned wheel and then he knocked down the division pole going an average speed of 30 mph - where he went on the opposite side of the freeway, where he was hit by a semitruck, leaving him in the hospital and the death of our pet.

Before I begin my complaint I would like to say the car drives very well and is very sporty. I get a lot of compliments on the vehicle, then they say why is that peeling like that? My Email correspondence with Lexus about my issue: I have a 2006 GS300. I recently noticed my molding along the front windshield that runs along the top to the windshield beginning to PEEL. Really unbelievable for a luxury car. It is embarrassing and damaging to the Lexus brand to have something like this occur AT NO FAULT of my own to this vehicle. I was at the local dealership on a separate issue and was told the roof drip molding was $763.67, absolutely unbelievable. Total repair cost $1200. Why would this peel like this? This is my second Lexus. I had a LS430 before this. I have by far had more issues out of this vehicle than any others I have owned. I am just blown away and I need Lexus to stand behind their brand. I would like the roof molding repaired. This is just ridiculous to have an issue like this on this type of car.The response from Lexus: Thank you for contacting the Lexus Customer Satisfaction Department regarding your 2006 GS 300, Vehicle Identification Number **. We appreciate the time you have taken to share your thoughts. As an automotive manufacturer, Lexus feels its warranty is one of the most comprehensive in the industry, and demonstrates faith in the performance and reliability of its product line. Lexus also realizes that product failures can occur on any vehicle at any time, and regrets any inconvenience this may cause. In an effort to be sensitive to the expectations of Lexus customers, we review matters on a case by case basis when a product failure occurs outside the warranty period. We have examined all information pertinent to your request for assistance, including the nature of the repair, mileage on the vehicle, and the warranty expiration date. We conclude it is not appropriate for Lexus to provide assistance on the repair of the front windshield moldings. We apologize that this may not be the response you hoped for. If you require further assistance, please contact the Lexus Customer Satisfaction Department at 1-800-255-3987, Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Pacific Time.My final response: First off thank you for your time and attention to my concern, however I am not pleased with the decision. I see now purchasing a second Lexus was a mistake on my part. I understand Lexus has the right to not stand behind their product and I have the right to not purchase their product. I understand CLEARLY from the discussion from my service advisor that I purchased a USED vehicle not a new one. However as I stated I purchased a used Lexus with a verifiable service history. In fact it was a Lexus certified vehicle. I purchased a used Lexus, not a used Hyundai, Mazda, Chevy, Honda or Ford. Which by the way has a more comprehensive warranty than a Lexus. 5 years, 7 years, and lifetime on certain parts. And cost far less on the initial purchase. Now a Lexus as stated in consumer reports has a better resale and loan value. So I suppose there is the trade off.But as I stated on the outset I will not be purchasing another USED Lexus product certified or not. I will however let the message board know about my experience. I will also let anyone know about Lexus products/customer service and if the paint begins to peel for no reason, out of the blue it’s your issue. Lexus customer service will stand behind the small issues but when it comes to anything costly you’re on your own. I wonder if the door falls off next or the spoiler blows off while driving, the bumper just comes unhooked for no reason, my seat brakes apart… I mean really whats next. Even though it’s a luxury car, it’s not quality built - these are things that should not happen to this type of car. This email may not mean much in the grand picture. I am just one consumer, but I will exercise my right as a consumer. My wife and I have owned Mercedes, BMW, Acura, Audi, and Infiniti. We never had any issues like this to occur. Lexus wants nearly $1200 for a piece of plastic molding!!! Ironically I have never heard of these things happening with a Toyota, only with a Lexus. A Lexus may look good but the quality is another subject.

The touch screen on my 2008 IS 250 stopped working. The dealer wanted to charge $3200 for the repair and we were tipped off that this is actually a very common problem with Lexus. I called the corporate office and they would only cover 50% of the cost even though the paperwork literally says malfunction. Since it is out of warranty and there isnt a recall on the navigation system, I was basically told oh well. We purchased a 2011 Lexus RX 350 in April of 2013. Shortly after we noticed rat droppings inside the car. Every day there was more. We put a mouse trap inside the back hatch and we caught one. In a few days we noticed more droppings and set the trap again. We caught another one. Then, we caught 2 more. Called Lexus in California, they told us to contact the local dealer in Birmingham, AL. We did and he told us they had the Lexus coming in all the time with mice. He said there was no way to keep them out, they were coming in from the bottom. We carried it to a friends tire service and put it up on the rack. There was no place for them to get in under there. With further searching, we found that the rats were building a nest in the fresh air filter. This past week, more droppings, set traps again, caught 2 more mice. We have had 4 Ford Explorers, 3 Chevrolet SUV, numerous other vehicles, trucks galore. We had 5 sons that had vehicles and none of the above or childrens had mice. That is a total of 6 mice caught in this car since May. This seems petty compared to what the previous comments were. It would really be terrible if the mice chewed the leather seats or some of the wiring. It would really be bad if one ran up our leg.

Never thought I would be writing a negative post about Lexus! I purchased a 2015 GS350 F Sport that was certified back in November 2018. It had 24,000 miles. It is still under the Manufacturer Warranty as well as the Certified Warranty. Last month I noticed the finish on the rims was peeling. I took it to the dealer and they took photos to send to the district Manager. I was told I would hear back in about a week of a resolution. Two weeks later, I still had not heard anything. I called the service rep. He told me he would get back with me. Later that day he called and said that the District Manager said that it did not appear to be a Manufacturer issue. Dissatisfied, I called Lexus Corporate and after many phone calls back and forth was told that they will not do anything about it! This is completely unacceptable. I will be sure to tell everyone know how Lexus does not stand behind their warranty!!

The damage was extensive and the insurance declared the vehicle a total loss. My concern is that neither of the airbags deployed during the collision. The other vehicle involved airbag(s) did deploy.I contacted Lexus and gave them permission to inspect the data image on the vehicle to let me know why the airbags did not deploy. As of October 21 2016 I have not heard anything from them. I have contacted Customer service several times but did not get any information. The vehicle has been towed to a totaled lot. Not sure how long the vehicle will be available for their inspection. I have owned four Lexus vehicles and have not had any problems. I love Lexus line of models, mainly the cars but would really like to see a sportier van or SUV option for us moms on the go, maybe have some options for electronic device storage for all the passengers. I would love to see a wine bottle storage compartment added in as an option when us adults want to go on a night camping trip too. Keep the luxury, keep the excellent quality but amp up the capacity and horsepower. The sleek lines on the exterior set it apart, but what I love most is how the inside fits so well. The features are very high end and the designers and developers obviously put a lot of work into how convenient everything would be to reach. The auto locking of the doors that can be customized by the driver is an amazing feature too, it keeps my children from trying to unlock or open the doors. I can set how long the interior lights stay on, change my exterior signal flash, the brightness of my dash lights, among many other amazing features. The passenger capacity is huge, luxurious and keeps the kids from annoying each other.

The IS 250 is a great ride that drives well making even those who dont love driving enjoy it. I love the way this car corners. We however were looking for a sportier vehicle that still had room for a family of four. The IS model has just that. However, our two teens dont feel there is enough legroom in the back for them. But Im in love with my car. The smallest interior details really set this luxury line apart from others. The wood used is gorgeous and held up well. These details really add to the cars comfort. I also like the upgrade rims. They are stunning and add just the right amount of bling and luxe to the car. Other upgrades include navigation which we passed on.

I just brought my 2006 Lexus RX400H in for the 35,000 mile service and to have brake pads checked. I was told that I need not only brake pads, but rotors and calipers on all four wheels with only 36,000 miles on the car. Two years ago, when I had about 25,000 miles, I was told that I had to replace all four tires. The cost was $1,500 and the dealership wouldnt let me leave without replacing all the tires. I have owned many high end vehicles in my 65 years and never have I had to replace all four tires in such a short time and certainly not a two thousand dollar brake job at 36,000 miles. Something is very wrong here. I bought this car new at IRA Lexus in Danvers, MA in March of 2006, and have overall been pleased with the car. However, this kind of component breakdown (or brake down) is unacceptable on a car which cost $53,000 when I purchased it. I believe that the parts had to be faulty or below acceptable standards for a high end car like Lexus. I look forward to hearing from you soon. This is a very disappointing and costly situation, which I do not feel is up to Lexus standards. Please respond.

We leased a brand new Lexus LS460 and when the lease term had ended, we had a lot of credit balance left over and finally we just decided to purchase the vehicle since we hadnt driven it that much. We noticed that our Lexus LS460 also has a chrome rim and because of it, its losing air for unknown reasons. We replaced the tires several times and finally found out that the chrome rim has tendencies to lose air due to it being chip or being rotten with time especially from Texas heat. We went numerous time to the dealer but never got a proper answer. We were not sure if there was a nail or if it was because of the chrome wheel that caused the tire pressure to be that low. The service and parts are so expensive that it will be too difficult to maintain it. Secondly, we never received any kind of recall notices from the company although we lived same place for years.

I never thought of owning a premium vehicle. The track record of this company (Toyota) indicates a real commitment to quality that is built in. I might have bought the Highlander but I didnt. No remorse here. For a luxury vehicle the ride is a little bit harsh, but I like that, it handles well for a big vehicle. It is fast, much faster than the 4.0l ford ranger it replaced. Fuel economy? Meh, not great at 20mpg on average. The 3.5l V-6 is already a legend being in production a very long time. The six speed automatic is very nice and inspires confidant driving. Comfortable? Oh yeah, the heated (or cooled) leather seats more than make up for any road harshness. In a word this RX350 is fabulous. I have the base model and it sure is well equipped BUT, to tell the truth I do not find the infotainment system all that user friendly and as such, about the only part I use is the radio, not the Sirius radio. Lexus demands some big money to keep updates fresh, so they can keep it. I would rather use my Android phone. The market seems to favor SUVs. If youre in that market, be sure to test drive a new or used (pre owned) RX350. While youre at it check the resale prices on a ten year old model of your choice.

I purchased a 2008 IS 250 Lexus in San Diego, California. Since purchasing it, I have had all my service done at the Kearny Mesa, San Diego location. This car has been riddled with problems and recalls including engine, brakes, seat belt, navigation and more. The problems just are never ending, and it does not seem Lexus is interested in taking any responsibility. When my touch screen system stopped responding to touch (350 miles outside of warranty), they quoted nearly $2,800 for replacement. They built a cheap car, charged a premium for the car and are collected from each of us to have their poor workmanship items repaired. I will never buy another Lexus and would never refer anyone to them either.

All of this is well-documented and all Im doing here is piling on. I have a 2012 RX-350 which is a wonderful car for the most part, but it has a useless nav/phone system that really never works. The phone dumps, saved numbers and it generally sucks. Lexus wont even listen to me when I explain at the dealership (Fresno Lexus), because they either dont care, or know the problem cant be fixed and merely follows the corporate talking points.

Beware of this diagnosis. It is not covered as of now from Lexus and is a 6,000-7000 dollar repair due to their drain hose design and placement in vehicle. I just bring it in for 10000 mile service and within a week the car started to take in water. Its been a problem with these cars since 2012 and they wont do anything to fix it because theyre claiming natural causes. I leased car from lexus of Rt 10 in Whippany NJ. They wont help or lexus 1-800 wont either even knowing this problem has been going on for many years. I went on lexus forums to see if other people have had same experience and the answer is yes from same dealership also too but after their 5000 mile service. Beware and spread the word about lexus.

Every statistic and fact out there indicates that service gives any company
Every statistic and fact out there indicates that service gives any company a competitive advantage, and the lack of it can be the demise of the business. When did money become first over the customer? When did customer service get so bad? I didnt expect this from Lexus. Especially since Lexus takes proud in their service and their name. I called customer service because I was told to by the service manager at my local dealership. Only with the intention of them helping me with a solution to my problem. My SD card slot cover is missing. Unfortunately for me Lexus doesnt sale this part individually. You have to buy a new stereo which cost $2389.00. After a few days I was told by my case manager that they find a way to help me and the dealership would be contacting me. A few minutes later she called back and said that she was told to advise me to go to a pick and pull and remove the part from a damaged car. I was truly upset and belittled at this point. So I asked for a Supervisor. The Supervisor called me back and welcomed me to the Lexus family and asked me how she could help. I explained to her what happened and she explained that the part wouldnt be covered under warranty. She called back and stated she talk to the service manager at the dealership and since I bought a used I was responsible for the missing part. Ok, thats exactly what you told me yesterday. I told her I wanted to know who advised me to go to pick and pull. She was more focused on my car being used then helping me. My car is still under warranty. Its still a Lexus what does it matter if its use? When I asked her for the service managers name she couldnt even tell me who she talked to. Which tells me she didnt look into anything. I called the dealership and the service manager said they would never recommend anyone to pick and pull. I truly believe that the service manager didnt his best to help me. I called the exclusive office to see if they could explain to me who advised me to go to pick and pull. Days later I finally got a callback. I was told that it wasnt nothing in the notes that stated that I was advised that. I asked if the calls are recorded if it could be pull for review. No call was recorded she said. How funny is that? So did I just make this all help?? Again no help!! The people that I talked to have Very Poor Customer service skills and are in need of a lot of training. I never got an apology for being told that the dealership would replace the missing part by mistake. Whats the point of having a customer service department if they cant help the customer but only make things worse. Customers want an easy experience. No hassle and no friction. Customers want to deal with knowledgeable professional people. Customers want a friendly experience. People want to be treated like people. After all, they are people – not account numbers. Use customers’ names whenever possible. Look for opportunities to build rapport and break the ice. Show that you care. That’s what friendly people (and businesses) do. Unfortunately you wont get this from Lexus.

I am an owner of Lexus RX 400h. The manufacturing year of my Lexus is to be seen in the attached figure: September 2007. It is extremely interesting that the curtain and side did not open airbags when my car crashed over. However, the commercial materials and specifications issued after September 2007 wrote about a protection system of 360, according to which curtain and side airbags open automatically in case of car crash over. After years of research it was confirmed and the representative of the manufacturer recognized, as well that no RX 350, 400h manufactured and approved in Europe contains such a system. This way Lexus Europe misled its customers in the issued commercial materials. Lexus Europe is silent disposing, no recall as it is hard to find a remedy for this problem. As a lonely fighter I brought an action against Lexus Europe for its default. If you have such a car, or you are interested in this issue, you are free to join me here.

All cars have problems, but before you purchase take a look at some of the issues in the BMW section... Valve guide seals ($4k), evaporator cores ($3k), coolant leaks, multiple window regulators, transmission issues, a/c issues, water pump issues, electrical issues and even engine bolts that break off! The list goes on and on. Just do a Google search. And these are with BMWs with 50,000 and 60,000 miles. I hope that my story will convince people to do their research and at least consider the Lexus brand.I bought my Lexus GS400 in 1999, and now at 16 years old and with 215,000 miles in my opinion it is one of the most reliable vehicles ever built. If you do some research, the 1UZ-FE V8 engine produced by Toyota in the late 90s (and used in the GS, LS, Tundra, LX, etc.) is one of the most bulletproof engines ever made. It will pretty much run forever. There are vehicles with this engine on the road today with 300,000, 400,000 even 500,000 miles and more. Even though it has evolved somewhat, it is still pretty much the same V8 motor used in Lexus vehicles today. That should tell you something. Now to my vehicle. In the first 5 years of ownership, I didnt have a single problem with my car. Not one. I replaced a battery, but that is something you would do with any car. In the 6th year, the throttle body assembly needed repair, but not a big deal. In the 10th year my starter contacts went bad (they go bad in all cars) and my alternator went out (again, expected for a 10 year old car!). Other than that its pretty much been regular maintenance: oil changes, tires, brakes. In 16 years I have never changed the spark plugs!! They are original. Ive driven up and down the east coast and this car has never left me stranded.Again, do your research and choose wisely. Today, KBB values my car at about $5-6k (it was $46k originally) but it doesnt matter because if someone wanted to purchase it today I would say its not for sale. I am keeping this one. Im sure Ill purchase a 2nd vehicle one day for fun - maybe a convertible - and guess what brand that will be? A Lexus of course! Even then Im not trading in my GS400 - this car is staying in my garage.

I do not have to wait more than one hour because its oil change and can be done in one hour. I was assured that I do not need to take a shuttle home for the appointment. 5. I received email from Joanne confirming the appointment with cost. 6. When I took the car on 21st November 2019, I was informed by Service Advisor as follows: • The car will be serviced and ready within one hour.• Car wash is not working but he agreed that he will personally vacuum car inside.7. Within one-hour car was ready. The girl announced my name and I went to see her. I was only informed by her that they installed Cabin Filter Free and she took me to Cashier. 8. Cashier told me to pay $300.00 and I was surprised but she never gave me opportunity to ask the question and put my Visa and asked me to insert my pin number in front of all employees.

BEWARE of SERIOUS safety concerns with South Bay Lexus on Crenshaw service dept. I paid $1700 for new rear brakes and a CV boot. Picked up my car, drove it 4 miles, and attempted to stop at the light before the entrance of the 405. My car would NOT STOP! I had NO BRAKES!! I quickly turned the car left and repeatedly pulled up on my emergency brake and was able to eventually bring my car to a stop. Thankfully, the light before the entrance of the 405 turned red otherwise, I would have entered the freeway with NO BRAKES!! Had to get the car towed back to South Bay Lexus on Crenshaw. They apologized profusely and explained the mechanic neglected to put two of the caliper bolts back! They were very sorry for putting me in a life threatening situation. I could have been killed and/or killed other people! Obviously, no one drove my car after it was repaired to make sure all was good to go. This is absolute negligence on the part of this dealership/service dept.

My conclusion in short: When buying new, do not intend to keep it after war
My conclusion in short: When buying new, do not intend to keep it after warranty expiration. And never buy used. Here is a long explanation. Very expensive parts. Price fells fast. Reason - expensive parts and low demand as many know these are expensive to maintain. 7 small plastic clips fell off from bottom plastic panels. Cost for one clip $10 bucks. Should cost several cents but no more than $1. They are Lexus unique size. Lucky I found aftermarket $1.50 for 10 abroad. Next, Lexus USA does not stand behind its cars. Exhaust rusted out and made the hole right at the place where it makes a turn at 65k miles (?) one week after extended warranty. At this place band was not an option. Cost to replace $2300, $1800 for part itself. Why? Because exhaust and converters are one complete unit. Called LEXUS USA. Response: Our decision is not to cover even though only one week past warranty. Also our records indicate that you later started to replace oil at other places. What oil has to do with bad exhaust? It is our decision. I had many cars over the years including Toyotas and replaced exhaust on many of them. Some at 150k miles and above. Parts were expensive, but not that expensive. In another instance headlight was damaged. Part cost $2000. It has 2 motors in it to adjust in horizontal and vertical plane, but still it is ridiculous price. I am technical and very handy. Always serviced cars myself. My conclusion is that they are reliable, but complicated cars. Chances to fail are greater in this setup. Therefore in my opinion for long term ownership quality and performance is not enough anymore to justify cost of long ownership or Lexus policies. Lease - maybe, but then return and lets Lexus eat them all.

In July of 2011, we bought a new RX 350 at Lexus of Chandler. Recently, we have noticed the paint on the front of the hood is pitted. There is no damage to any other area at the front of the car. The dealer said it was from dust storms, and there was nothing they could do. They also said that they could show us cars on their lot that have similar damage. Thats a nice thing for a potential buyer to see. We traded in a 2002 Pathfinder with no paint problems. We still have a 2004 Infiniti with no damage. Yes, we live in the desert, but why would a new car sustain paint damage, when other, older cars do not? I question the quality of a Lexus paint job.

This car (Lexus ES 330) is very good now and has served me well. I have had it new since 2004 and still running like a champ. I have liked this car from the beginning and still do. Its design is not too over the top and theres not a lot of extra bells and whistles. Just enough of a design to keep it simple yet it works. I dont need all the extras, I just need basic transportation and most of all safety is the biggest plus in any car. I believe in safety first and foremost. This car being 12 years old still has some of the goodies. It has the sun/moonroof, lots of airbags and antenna in the window vs. actual antenna that you see on cars. Its a 5 passenger car and has great sound from the stereo and many speakers too. It also has leather seats heated for your comfort, dual thermostat for the heater or air conditioner and lots of trunk space you can open from the inside of the car.

Lexus needs a few more models as to distinguish itself from other luxury brands. Right now, Lexus has a staple of sedans and coupes for a sporty type of brand. I am not impressed with their SUV and perhaps they need a different type of crossover. I found too that Lexus did not offer as many upgrades as I had hoped to find from a luxury car company. I felt limited by the options available. Otherwise, Lexus has a very Alex and modern look which is supported by modern in-car features. Lexus does a good job of incorporate a more modern feel into a luxury car. The car also fits about 4 comfortably which is more than enough for me. I think it very average in that respect.

I will never buy another Lexus or Toyota product again. The last Lexus ES350 I owned, is the last. I do not know how in the world Lexus could call a Lexus ES 350 “Bulletproof” when the heads blew on the one I had at 145,000 miles, not mention the failing computer, the alternator, the Vehicle Stability Control, and let’s not forget their melting dash, the allegedly lethal Takata airbag system, and years earlier that accelerator problem. I do not understand how anyone who had problems I had could possibly call it reliable. The whole experience was shameful. Given my experience with a Lexus, I now question Consumer Reports rating system for rating that company number one in reliability. I had American cars I got three to four times the life out of than this supposed “Bulletproof” reliable car. I am sticking Mercedes, Genesis, Honda, Mazda, Kia, or Hyundai. Bought a 2015 GS 350 car. Was over 50k and not fully loaded. The bad interior colors are all black unless you get a white exterior or black exterior. Then you get the option of only a few interior lighter colors then deep black. Second Lexus engineers destroyed the navigation system by taking away touch screen and installing a mouse to click 1 letter or number at a time, 10x slower than the old touch screen. Also their talk in navigation does not work half the time because its affected by AC or radio noise. Its real garbage, a $150 tom tom is faster and better. They did this to save money. It will be gone next year or so. Also the geniuses at Lexus actually have a knob that pipes in engine noise into the cabin like its a high powered corvette, ridiculous. Now for the ride. Its rough because their 18 rims and little tire contacting road so you feel every little mild bump. Also the rims are dull cheap looking fake silver. Really ugly. The backup camera is fair but no front camera because they raised dashboard height to accommodate junk navigational. Now you cant see past mid hood creating blind spot of front distance of car to an object. Very little contrasting color on door panels or dash just a fake chrome colored clock. And the six stack CD player is gone now also with a basic 1 CD insert and a few speakers average sound. Then to turn on accessories like windows, wipers, radio etc. You have to go through a crazy touch button twice while foot on brake pedal. Yes you can get satellite radio for a fee plus to use through the junk navigational will take 5 minutes to move a mouse for station. Then they got Lexus Enform built in with your navigational where you can pull car over and play with mouse to make dinner reservation, concerts, etc. Its idiotic just read up on the reviews of Lexus Enform. Use your cell to call a place you want reservations. It is 20x faster. Also the car engine with the dual exhaust is noisy as hell. Your neighbor can hear the motor running 3 doors down. I have a 2002 Lexus so this is how I know where the mistakes are in the new car compared to the 2002 GS 300 model which is so much better designed than the new 2015 junk. Also premium gas only and lousy mileage. I would have looked at other cars but my wife loved the old Lexus so she thought the new one would have the same nice features and smooth ride. No way is this plastic car worth more than $38,000 not 53k.So what is better on the Lexus 2015 versus 2002? Nothing to be honest. Has a few more useless steering wheel gadgets, thats it. So what do I like about it? Just increased engine power for passing. If youre thinking about buying this model take it on the freeway and some side streets with a few bumps then youll pass. Car was new when we bought it but had 90 miles on it telling me about 15 people test drove it then passed. I bought it from the liars at Keyes Lexus and they have some real trashy middle eastern hustlers that worked there. It was 5 hours of lies before I regretfully bought from the low class staff. Heres how much profit they make on a 53k MSRP car about 8-9 thousand so now you know what price theyll sell it at.Also the liar sales manager hustled my wife into an added warranty for 2 extra years only for $2800. Huge rip off. After we bought warranty the sales people said all new Lexuss come with a 7 year engine & trans warranty and 4 yr. 50,000 on the other parts. Before you buy look at Acura, Cadillac, Honda, etc. Also dont buy it if it has a mouse for typing and no touch screen. Last thing the door handles are painted silver but made of PLASTIC. For $53,000 3 stars overall is correct rating. The end!!!

There were no obvious problems until a multitude of lights came on telling me to get the car to a dealer immediately. I took the car into Mungenast Lexus on Saturday, 3/8/2014 with 89,000 miles. The tech hadnt seen some of the items and I was told I would have to wait until Monday to find out the cause. They got the malfunction lights off and I said I would drive it until they came on again. The car wasnt driven much Sunday or Monday but the lights came on again late Monday and I took the car back to Mungenast on Tuesday, 3/11/2014. On Wednesday, 3/12/2014 I was given an estimate of $10,682.75 for the necessary repairs, not including taxes. Does anyone know of a $73,000 luxury car requiring $11,000 in repairs at 89,000 miles? A car that has been maintained and hasnt been in a wreck, has regular maintenance (although not by Lexus) or any other obvious mistreatment. I made a complaint to Lexus Customer Care (yeah, right!) and they gave me $2000 toward the repairs which I felt was a joke given the forums that point out all of the problems with this car. Virtually all of the repairs necessary are mentioned in all of the forums or other online places to learn of car troubles.I had all of the repairs done except the upper and lower control arms to the tune of $4637.81 including the $2000 credit against the repairs. The upper and lower control arms represent another $4690.15 plus tax. Ive been told to get this done as soon as possible. The car cant really be aligned until these are repaired. I had the first items done in order to get the car back and take advantage of what had been offered before they tried to renege on that. Additionally, I cant sell the car as is because it wont pass a state inspection. Even if I get it fixed, CarFax is probably going to show the repairs so I cant sell it as an individual and if I keep it, Ill be waiting for the other shoe and another $3000 or $4000 in repairs. I feel like I have been really screwed by Lexus with little ability to fight back.I plan to make sure this is known to as many people as possible and am seriously considering a big yellow lemon on all 4 doors with something like, Ask me about my Lexus experience with an e-mail or phone number. I have no idea if this would qualify for a lemon law claim. Repairs: 1) R & L #1 & #2 Upper Control Arms: $3210.35* 2) R&L Lower Control Arms: $1479.80* 3) Water Pump: $701.50 4) R Front Shock: $595.36 5) Brake Actuator: $2704.96 6) Bank 1 & Bank 2 Fuel Ration Sensors7) O-Ring, Fuel Gasket & Insulator at High Pressure $1523.67Fuel Pump: $871.52 *Work not done yet. Work that has been done: $6637.81 including tax. $2000. Lexus credit equals $4637.81. Perhaps the shock and the water pump would be okay although with 7 previous pre-owned cars driven in excess of 125,000 miles I had replace no shocks or suspension items. I am wondering how Lexus rates so high for quality and service. I have purchased a 2013 Lexus ES 300h fully loaded and have been very disappointed. I respect JD Power’s results and this is why I picked the Lexus ES as it is highly recommend. The Mark Levinson system is the worst I have ever heard as a premium system. The response from Lexus has been terrible or lack of. I have driven luxury vehicles for the past 25 years, and Lexus has been the worst customer service I have ever encountered and cannot understand how Lexus is so highly rated. I am not the only person who feels this way. After my situation, I started to go online and found many other people with the same concern. I think when a company rates other corporations, it should look at websites, forums and related blogs to get sense of customer satisfaction. I have contacted Lexus every other day for three weeks before I received a reply from someone. I think when you look at the price of the Lexus ES, Lexus really cheap out, claiming heated wood steering wheel - none of the wood is heated, ventilated front seats that do not work very well, no sunglass holder, no compass on the mirror if you upgrade to a GPS, and very poor voice commands on the GPS system. The vehicle feels very cheap; when you close the door, you can hear it is hollow. My vehicle is 6 weeks old and I have had the amp and subwoofer replaced as it blew, and a door speaker and the system still sound terrible. Lexus just band aids the issue and is not fixing it. My fear is if Lexus cannot remedy a stereo issue, what will happen when it is a really big issue?

Purchased a NEW GX460 from a local dealership. Purchased the vehicle based on the companys perceived quality and willingness to stand behind their product. After 2-3 months of purchasing the truck the leather seats were bulging and buckling significantly. Dealership acknowledged the problem and replaced the leather on the rear seats. One month later, the front seats are now worse than the back seats. Both the dealership and Lexus Company will not stand behind product. In fact, the dealership suggested that this is a common issue and sent me pictures of other new trucks with the same problem. Wish I would have known that before purchasing the $50K+ vehicle. This is the third and last Lexus that I will ever purchase or recommend.

Lexus has a range of vehicle models to choose from like the Lexus RX 2017, Lexus LS 2017, Lexus ES including SUV models as well. The Lexus interior fitments are well populated with rich wood and soft leather. The glossy shine of a brand new car rather new or used I have noticed that Lexus brand always are up to date. You can upgrade tires at any time if you ever run into weather events that may need changing of tires quickly. You can rely on the customer service if you ever need help with any model upgrades. When my friends tag along they always complement how spacious it is. Its almost like sitting inside a bus how much space you have to relax and do other things as a passenger.

I bought a brand new Lexus rx350. As soon as I took it home I noticed several things wrong with the car. I complained dozens of times on 1 same issue, and several times on other issues. They kept telling me to bring in the car. I live 2 hrs away from dealer I bought from. However each time I brought in car something else always goes wrong after they tell me everything is ok. I have been dealing with this lemon for a yr and several months now and still help in getting my entire money back that I paid for. I also got a list of all the repairs that was done prior to buying. They should not have sold this vehicle or put it on sale. They were taking parts from other cars and putting it on mine to check what was wrong. I also paid almost $2200 on warranties and other things which they claimed I will not get back. All I wanted was a car without any problems and did not mind paying for the extra warranties. If the car was sold as a lemon and they knew there were problems with the car, then you should refund everything including the warranties bought. I am going through Kealanda customer care who agreed to refund the purchase price but refused to refund the $2200 in extra things I bought. Trip charges I understand also, but all the trips were made to the dealership, over and over again. I was given the runaround since day one and lied to. This was my first luxury car and we did not feel safe in this car. It has stayed in 1 spot for the entire time since we noticed all these serious issues. We went on 1 small trip which we had problems with the head lights not working so we came back. Windshield wipers not coming on automatically when raining, Lexus Enform, etc... I could go on and on.I want the owners and Lexus to take care of this. I should not have had to go through so much trouble especially on a high end car. Dealerships and Lexus should be accountable for misleading and selling us a car they knew was defective. I want justice and a full refund including all the extras I bought with the financing department.

Took my RX330 into Pohanka Lexus in Chantilly, VA for a state inspection on 9/14/13. My car was rejected due to the passenger side mirror. In order to not drive around with a rejection sticker, I inquired about how much the mirror itself would cost. John informed me that the mirror would be about $450 plus $65 for labor plus a replacement bulb was needed above the license plate giving me a grand total for a side mirror and inspection $600.44.A front mirror doesnt even cost that much. When I asked why was it so much, the reply was because its motorized. I had visited another Lexus dealership 3 months prior for tires and nothing about the side mirror was mentioned. I feel like I was taken advantage of and that Pohanka Lexus overcharged to replace only the mirror for my car to pass inspection.

I am on my third IS Model Lexus and like the product. Unfortunately I have found my new 2016 IS 300 AWD stalls or feels like fuel starvation when I sometimes go to make a turn either right or left at low speeds or intersections. It becomes very concerning when you are turning into traffic or across traffic and it feels like you will not make it across the intersections. The yellow flashing engine light comes on but I have notified the dealership 3 times (at Service Intervals) and no fault can be found. Has anyone else experienced similar challenges with their Lexus IS 300 AWD too?

2nd and very LAST Lexus from Lexus San Diego! I never thought that service really made a difference if you had a great product. I have since learned that lesson. This dealership is absolutely the worst. They will never call you back. Their sales people wont even call you back! Dumbfounded... I have moved on to Mercedes. If you were to compare the two based on service, Lexus SD would be the equivalent to a 16 yr old waiter at your local burger joint, while Mercedes service would be similar to a maître d’ at one on New Yorks finest restaurants. Thanks for nothing Lexus SD.

Lexus has a very good variety and I like the vehicles a lot. They are really cool and good looking. They have a lot of upgrades available and I buy them all usually. Also, the passenger room is good. It is very roomy and I will always like it. I am very happy with it and all of my passengers are too. I would love to own a Lexus for the rest of my life.

I took my car in for diagnosis, after hearing a low grinding sound. He a bearing in the pump was failing and the pump needed to replace at a cost between $2,500 and $3,000. To access that pump, the engine needs to be removed, that takes 16 hours! While youre having that work done, he told me to also have the spark plugs replaced. Get this, the average cost to replace them is $311 to $396. The parts cost is less than $20. The remainder of the cost is labor. I think the costs for doing minor repair jobs is ridiculous - whoever heard of removing the engine to replace the water pump (replacing the plugs at the same time, saves you money). Id like to meet the numskull responsible for this thoughtless design and tell him a thing or two. Do these two minor job.

I am very impressed with the Lexus extended warranty. Two years ago, while having my vehicle serviced, I was informed that my steering was defective and leaking. It would need to be replaced. The cost was over $4000.00. My extended warranty covered the entire cost with no copay required. This one repair more than tripled the cost of the seven year warranty. I have had extended warranties with other vehicles that I have had, but none as good as this.

I own a Lexus 2006 and a year ago I started noticing hairline cracks on the dashboard. I spoke with a Lexus representative and he said that Lexus is aware that it is a manufacture defect and I should take it to the dealer and they should replace it. I took it in to North Miami Lexus dealer. The guy took pictures and said that he submitted the claim. I followed up with him since he never called me back to follow up. After 5 weeks he said that Lexus will replace it but I will have to pay $1000. He also said that I can call Lexus customer service if I am not happy. I did call them and followed up with Customer Service manager, Michael, was told that since the car is outside of warranty (however, very low mileage and they recognize that, could have been covered under that) they can only extend the dealers offer and that is very fair. They never looked at the pictures since the dealer didnt upload them and apparently someone in the other department declined for Lexus to take full responsibility for the defect. After searching the issue online, I realize that I am not the only one with the same issue and that different Lexus owners were offered different deals. My belief is that they never even looked into the issue and I was given the generic answer by the customer service management. This is very disappointing and would love to join a class action suit. Lexus is aware of this defect and just getting away with it. The luxury car dealer is washing their hands off. I am not angry but very dissatisfied to look at the car everyday and see the cracks while it is suppose to be a luxury car.

My mother bought a 2008 Lexus RX 350. At 88k miles, she began experiencing issues with her car while driving and brought it to the dealership for an inspection. They told her that there were massive problems with her engine which would cost over $5k to fix. This car isnt even at 100k miles yet so it was incredible that there would be any engine problems. For what its worth, my mother is a very safe, responsible driver and she has never skipped any maintenance on her car. We asked what our options were and they told us that we were past the warranty, so our only option would be to pay the $5k out of pocket. Obviously, we were upset so we called the consumer hotline that they provided us to voice our concerns, and we spoke with a representative named Carlos. He admitted that there were known engine issues with the RX models and said that he would call us back with a solution.A few days later, he called us and said that he would cover only 50% of the parts. He would absolutely not budge even though we told him that Lexus should cover 100% of the parts and labor as this was a known issue. I feel that Lexus sold us a car with a faulty engine and is now refusing any responsibility. At this point, I am seriously considering suing the company and will never buy a Lexus again.

I purchased a brand new 2015 Lexus IS 250 in the South Atlanta Dealership.
I purchased a brand new 2015 Lexus IS 250 in the South Atlanta Dealership. I cant complain about Bryan, the person who sold it to me. He was great. Now I had to bring it in for my first free 5000 miles service. I drove 1 1/2 to Atlanta thinking they were going to do the first oil change. When I get there they tell me it is not for an oil change. That my vehicle because it is the F Sport doesnt require an oil change until it reaches 10,000 miles so all they did was check the fluids and the minimum service supposedly required. Now I just took it in for my 10,000 mile service and they do the first oil change. I ask Colby what oil they use, the blend or the full synthetic and he tells me he used the full synthetic. The full synthetic would not require me to change the oil until the following 10,000 miles but when I leave the dealership and I look at the sticker they place on the windshield I notice it requires me to change the oil in the next 5,000 miles. I do not understand. So I am guessing they used the blend and not the full synthetic. Not only that, when they give me the paper stating the car was complete and I go out to get my car I see a young gentleman jump in my car and drive off on it. I ask one of the person at the service desk why did they take my car again and she starts trying to contact and find out who had it. A couple of seconds passed and here they bring it back to me. As the young gentleman comes out of my vehicle he states he had left something inside my vehicle and had to get it, but why just not open the vehicle and take whatever item he had left inside instead of driving off on it? Now 10 days later my maintenance light comes on stating my car is due for an oil and filter change. I called the Lexus service department and they tell me they forgot to do the reset and that is why the light was coming on so they guide me on how to do it through the phone. I am really disappointed about the service provided here. Dont know if they just didnt care because it was the first 2 free services provided to me. Honestly I love my Lexus but I am not sure if I will drive another 1 1/2 to just get a poor service done on my vehicle. Will probably just use a Toyota dealership here in my area.

I own a 2012 Lexus CT 200h. Absolutely love my car. 2 1/2 weeks I was in a car accident that was not my fault. My car went to Lexus of the quad cities to get an estimate. While in for getting the door fixed rust was noticed on both of the front door seams. We questioned it and had to get in contact with Lexus. My husband talked to Shawn directly at Lexus. They sent someone out to look at my car. Since my car has rust on the seams they will not cover it, as it is not rusted through. Lexus warranty says corrosion or perforation for 6 years unlimited miles. Since the door was already being painted it would not cost anymore to fix the seam under the door. Shawn told my husband nothing he could do about it and no one else he could speak to. I dont know about you but who wants to spend $40,000 on car that is only 4 years old and its rusted. I guess I thought buying a Lexus was not buying a Ford Focus, even though I owned a Ford Focus 10 years ago and it never rusted. Customer service not good, neither is warranty.
