My mower does not turn well, as soon as you put any weight on the back of the mower, the front wheels do not grip the ground well enough. Also both rear wheels turn at the same time so when you make a turn the inside wheel turns faster and digs up the lawn.

An update on my mower: Since I am retired from the Military, I have the time to make sure I spend some days next spring, at the Lowes in Lima, Ohio where I purchased my Husqvarna, to inform potential customers to not buy a Husqvarna, to let them know Lowes orders Husqvarna products and has inferior parts installed so Lowes can sell them at a lower cost. The customers don’t know this, they think they are getting the genuine Husqvarna product with parts that are to specifications – not true. I am very confident I will be able to steer away at least 10 customers easily. I have done this type of tactic before, and it worked great. If I can steer 10 potential customers away that is an estimated 30K in lost revenue. ** Lowes and ** Husqvarna.

This is about the Husqrvana YTH20K46 riding lawn mower. I purchased the mower from Lowes Home Center Store at 940 Interstate Parkway, Akron, Ohio 44312 in July of 2009.My complaint is that it doesnt cut the lawn even and its hard to start. I was cutting the lawn recently and the cable that engages the blade broke, and I had to have the local mower company come and pick it up, take it and have everything fixed on it. The mower is only 2 years old. It cost me a total of $366 to have it repaired. Im a 71 year old female on a fixed income and I was told that Husqvarna was a good tractor to buy. But now, I would not recommend it to anyone. I think I should get my money back, plus the repairs. For a 2 season lawn mower, thats bad. I forgot, I already had a flat tire on the back too. I would like to have feedback on this please. Thank you.

Have bought a Husq LT 1597 ride-on mower and for the past 2 years the cutter belt keeps running off the pulleys when the disengage lever is used. The mower shop comes, takes mower away for 3 weeks, and returns with belt in place and charges $300. This has been going on every 2nd month for 2 years. The belt when disengaged flops around and the engine pulley continues to rotate which pulls the belt up and off the rear tensioner pulley. The design here is really bad. The belt should be pulled off the engine pulley. Nope they disengage at the cutter plate. Drrrrrrrr, off the course the belt will continue to rotate as it is still in contact with the engine pulley. This is very dangerous as the cutters are meant to be disengaged but the belt is still thrashing around. Afraid this is the first and last Husq. The service sucks at $300 to put a belt on, of course this is not a warranty issue. Well it is a customer satisfaction issue.

Purchased a riding lawn mower back in 2012. 2 months after purchasing it, the transmission blew. They did replace it because it was under warranty. This weekend the same exact things happened. Called because I purchased what I believed to be was a 5 year warranty. Nope, they sold me a plan that goes on top of a plan (for $200 I got 1 extra year on top of their warranty). I called Lowes, the guy was wrong. I called **, the greatest Husqvarna worker to ever live and he says nothing they can do. So here I sit with a 3 year old mower with a blown transmission AGAIN! Never buy a Husqvarna product! Invest the money and buy John Deere.

They wanted me to my mower in my little car and drive instead of sending me a new gas cap. Then I bought a rear tine rototiller. Same thing with leaking gas cap. Ill never buy Husqvarna again. STIHL is way better. Too bad they dont do mowers or tillers.

I purchase a new Husqvarna 54 inch 26 hp mower. Everything works good except I get a vibration when I am mowing. This happens only when I put it under load like 5 or 6 inches of grass. It has done it from day one, I have 3 hours on it. I was thinking that it might be the blades because it looks like it mulches up the grass rather than just cutting it.

I bought the Husqvarna Brand 125B leaf blower thinking I was buying quality, but I was awakened by the fact that this company doesnt stand by their product, and that the leaf blower I bought is pure junk. I used it 4 times for my small yard, at periods of less than 10 minutes each time (estimated), and the blower stopped functioning. I tried to return it to Home Depot, but it was past their 90 day return policy. Home Depot recommend I take the blower to my nearest dealer, which I did, but, they were 12 weeks out. Meaning they couldnt work on it until then. So, my dealer told me to call Husqvarna to see if they could return it. Husqvarna said no, but they could recommend another repair shop about 50 miles away. I will never ever buy anything from this company again. The dealer happens to be a small local outfit which cannot keep up the demand of bad product from Husqvarna. This is what they told me, and after buying this piece of crap, I believe them. I recommend buying another brand!

I had the same experience as Nico from Chico-starting a new business, I went to Lowes and got the Rancher. I took it back and got a new one because it didnt start. I have been putting up with stubborn starts since March. Today I wasted half an hour wearing myself out before I called the customer care number. I waited on hold another half hour, so I put the speaker on and spent that time trying to start it. Right now I am waiting for the manager to call back. That just lost me a lucrative job for the day. Now I have to call and postpone a landscape job because I am waiting for this callback. In April I purchased the Husky 525LK commercial trimmer and the PA100 pole saw attachment. I scheduled some jobs which I had to cancel because when I tested it, the pole saw chain would not turn. I took it to the dealer, which is Montana Power Products (who have also looked at the 455 and couldnt find anything wrong, and they agreed it was hard to start). They said it had the wrong sprocket. That is, the genius on the factory floor grabbed a sprocket that was probably in a bin in an entirely different part of the factory on a separate line for a smaller product and put it on a commercial product. What kind of idiot does Husqvarna hire? Maybe I should apply for a job THERE!Because so far, this has lost me probably $6000 in lost wages, not to mention preventing me from working around my own house. They tell me no when I ask if I dont have a reasonable expectation that my big-ticket items will work. The tractor is nice. I was surprised I didnt have to take it back the first time I tried to use it, though. I am asking them for compensation and will pursue a small claim.

It was OK until the warranty expired. 2 years after spending $2900 on a zero turn mower I have NOTHING but problems with the safety switch system. I cant start the mower and have tried by passing, replacing and re-setting switches with 0 (ZERO) success. This is the biggest waste of money. Husqvarna and the dealer who sold it to me can or will not help me because its out of warranty. They wont even give me tips on how to resolve the issue. I found out from another dealer that there is a known issue with the safety switches on these trackers, even OUT OF THE BOX. If anyone can help that would be great. Husqvarna needs a recall or they need to MAJOR LAWSUIT. Safety switch systems are a JOKE anyway. Just because a few STUPID people cant safely operate a machine I have to suffer with these safety switch BS. Thats big government and corporation corruption for you.

In 2009, I bought a 4000.00 Husqvarna zero-turn mower. That same year, 4 issues were needed to be attended to. This year so far, the mower has had another 4 issues. Sears has been very rude, unhelpful and very disrespectful. The mower has a warranty on it. The mower has sat in the garage this whole season waiting to be fixed! I have had to pay out over $1000.00 to have the yard maintained this year alone. The mower only has 18 hours on it. And it already has at least 9 problems to date! I need help.

I use my lawn tractor for a multitude of tasks but it is very difficult to shift between summer and winter chores. Would be much better if it had quick releases and the process of changing mower blades could be done without high capacity lifting equipment. The mower cuts unevenly and is easily bogged down. The towing connection is made of cheap metal and is easily distorted. Lots of cheap parts and headlights burned out after just a couple of months.

My Father-in-Law gave this tractor to me as a gift in Dec. of 2016. I was currently using a Craftsman 20hp 24 cut that I was perfectly happy with but decided to sell it and within a couple days it was gone. Still crying. The new Husqvarna made it to 5 hours before the transmission quit. Into the shop where the owners told me they didnt know if the company would honor the warranty because I didnt purchase it. So I loaded up, took it back to Lowes where I got one run around after another until I was told it was older than 30 days. I said it only had 5 hrs on it but they refused a refund or a trade. Back to the shop which had it for almost a month before repairs were complete. Warranty did cover tranny replacement. 10 hours in the Solenoid had to be replaced. 25 hours in and all three spindles had to be replaced. Not worth the hassle to try warranty. Im at 125 hours and one of the pulleys failed to the point the bearings were falling out of it. Husqvarna is hard to get ahold of, hard to work with and want everything done in paper. Ill never own another Husqvarna product, period! And I never shop at that big box store either.

I purchased a new Husqvarna 580 BTS back pack blower August 11, 2019. It ran for approx 10 minutes and the coil went bad. Brought it into the dealer for repairs. Told it would be two weeks to repair. Two weeks came and went. I was told the part is on backorder and it would not be in until 2nd week in Sept 19. September came and went. October came and went etc. In November, I was told the part would not be avaiable until first week in January. Well you probably guessed by now... I was just told February 2020.Husqvarna would not back up their product. Their customer service was of no help. The person I was speaking with did not even know what a backpack blower is. I actually had to tell the customer service rep what it was and what it was used for. I now am the proud owner of a $550 paperweight with no repair date in site. Oh lastly, the icing on the cake... Husqvarna wants $15.00 to ship the part when it does come in. Incredible.

I bought a 46 Huskee riding mower for my birthday last April and have had carburetor problems ever since. It ran fine for a few months, then would act like it was running out of gas then would shut off. I couldnt get it cranked back up for several hours, then it would only run for a short time. I had a local guy pick it up and was charged $125 for carb work along with pick up and delivery. Later that next day---same thing. He came back to my house and took out the plug and asked me to start it--gas came spewing out, then he cleaned the plug and opening, and it ran enough to finish my lawn. Next week, same thing again. This time I called Lowes and the mngr agreed to pick it back up and take it to their service center. They called about 10 days later saying the repair bill was over $409!!! Wtf!! I said its under a 2-year warranty---they said carburetor problems were not covered, and they would charge me a diagnostic charge and a p/u and delivery charge just to have it back to the store unfixed. Also the folks they use (Altaquip???) were not Husqvarna service dealers anyway. Now, Lowes mngr. said they would deliver it back to my house and I would have to call a factory authorized service dealer in my area to fix it... Huskee said there would still be a charge to have carb problems fixed, so Im stuck with a mower that broke down on me and still have to pay... What a rip-off!! I did the research on the highest rated riding mowers, and husky was at the top---never again!! Buyer beware!! PS: My sisters husband bought one too and has exactly the same problems!! Mike.

I purchased the Husqvarna 48 inch riding mower at Lowes. After the first cut I noticed my lawn did not look evenly cut. One side was a little higher than the other. I called Lowes and the associate said that maybe because it was the first cut the riding lawn mower needed some minor adjustments. I took it to a lawn mower repair service close to my home and dropped it off. After a week I went back and ended up paying $78.00 to have them tell me either the deck was bent or there may be some problems with the pulleys and or deck/parts. They said they really wasnt sure. RZ4621 Zero Turn Mower - I have one season on a brand new machine. 3 clutches, 3 belts, two tension springs, one pulley and one pulley pedestal and I still cannot keep the belt on. The dealer and Husqvarna do not recognize that there is a problem. One thing I do know and that is I am becoming a very experienced Husqvarna mechanic. I purchased this unit because I have weed trimmers, chainsaw and a Husqvarna rototiller that have all been very good. I thought their mowers would be no different. I also bent the area where the shoes are. This all happened in 2 days. Not impressed. Considering I bought this blower cause its supposed to last twice as long as others. I think not. This is in reference with my Husqvarna rotary lawn mower (Model Number: 917.376822 21). My mower wouldnt start this spring. As it was still in warranty, I took it to an authorized repair center, Maximum Outdoor Equipment Service. Although I had prepared the mower for storage last fall by putting a fuel stabilizer in the gas tank, as described in the owners manual, I was told that the mower wasnt covered by warranty because the carburetor had gummed up. Apparently, the information in the manual was inaccurate and that a fuel stabilizer should never be used in a mower gas tank.I pointed out that the owners manual said to use stabilizer but I was told that it was erroneous information and that they were compelled to honor the warranty because Sears had their logo on the back of the book. I then went to Sears and was told that since Husqvarna had published the book, Sears could not be held responsible for the information in the manual.Additionally, I understand theres a bulletin from the factory regarding a fault in the carburetor on this model. So far, this farce has cost me $105 for something I feel should be covered by warranty. Your timely response with any help or guidance you can provide would be very much appreciated. After this experience, I will not ever purchase another Husqvarna product or anything powered by Kohler.

After doing quite a bit of research, we decided to purchase a Husqvarna YTH22V46 for use at the mother-in-laws home. The unit was purchased on 4/27/14. The engine meter shows 11.4 hours of use. Yesterday, my wife called me from her mothers and said that the unit started, ran rough, then began billowing white smoke. She shut it down and called me. I went over to check out some things. Engine had fuel to the carb, spark to the plugs, correct oil level, engine compression (I checked with compression tester). It will spin over, but never so much as a cough in trying to start. Lowes didnt want to talk to me, since I was past the 30-day return limit for outdoor products. Husqvarna corporate didnt want to talk to me, just gave me the name of a Husqvarna repair facility in my area. It is actually a tool and equipment rental center. They told me to bring it in and they would look at it. I told them I only had a small car and naturally couldnt bring in a lawn tractor. The guy reluctantly said that they might be able to get it sometime next week, but would charge me $70/hour to pick it up and deliver it back. Husqvarna? You out there??... This would be a fine time for you folks to step up to the plate... not even 3 months old... only 11.4 hours on the clock... You there??????

I bought a new Husqvarna Zero turn Model RZ5426. I bought this larger scale because I have about 2 acres to mow. It has just over 4 hours on the machine. It has been in the shop more than it has been at my home. The first thing I never liked is they cut sloppy cut. I figured I could buy better blades, not a big thing. First time I was mowing this summer, I broke of a blade bracket. I ran over tree branch, not big by no means, but it broke it off in many pieces. I had that repaired and after trying it again, I broke another bracket off in less than an hour. And after talking to the Husqvarna dealer, all they said was it was a common problem. I got that back home and began using it and I noticed a lot of deck noise. After checking things out, I found a belt pulley completely worn off. I checked the others and they are all very badly worn, as well as the teeth on the blade brackets. So now, the dealer is basically rebuilding my deck I only have 4 hours on it. I have tried calling Husqvarna customer service all they do is make a report and send it to this so called Army Answer group whos supposed to handle their complaints and answer questions. I have left 3 questions with them and not one has been answered yet. Have left a bad review of the model of mower I have and that was rejected. I have not gotten any reply back from Husqvarna and am very angry with all the problems Im having. I believe its a flaw in the mover or very cheap parts. I do know that the pulleys are made out of very cheap extremely thin metal. I cant see how that would last at all. Every time I take it back, all they can do is replace the crap with the same cheap junk they had in the first place. If anyone has any advice, please let me know. If I could find stronger parts that would fit this deck, I would spend the money. All I know is Husqvarna will not stand behind this product at all. I cannot find any emails for Husqvarna. All they have is Answer Army which is a complete joke. If you have any idea what I can do, please let me know.

I bought a 46 inch/24 hp lawn tractor and also purchased the three year extended comprehensive warranty. The rep told me that with the extended warranty I was almost guaranteed to have no maintenance expenses. I have found out the emphasis should have been on the word almost. In less than 1 year the machine broke down (i.e. carburetor and other parts went bad, etc.). To their credit, the service Husqvarna used did pick up the machine without charge, but that is the only positive aspect of this experience. I was told it would take more than 2 weeks before they could even look at the machine (and of course it was spring-time and the 3 acres of grass was not in a cooperative mood). After nearly a week, the rep called to tell me all that was wrong with this nearly brand new machine and was sad to inform me that nothing was covered under the extended warranty (big surprise). More than 2 weeks later and out more than $500 for repairs, I was livid. I wrote a detailed letter to Lowes, where I bought the machine and to Husqvarna. In that letter I cited provisions in the extended warranty where I was sure the repairs were covered and asked that someone contact me to set up an arbitration hearing, as set forth in the maintenance agreement. It has been more than three months now and I have not heard from either Lowes or Husqvarna. Both companies obviously have two customer service standards - pre-sale they are all smiles and supportive, post-sale they want nothing to do with customers. I spend a lot of money annually at Lowes and I will never shop that store again. I also will never purchase Husqvarna products again.

We bought our Husqvarna snowblower on 1-27-14. We purchased it from Fleet Supply in Sauk Centre, MN. Our snowblower worked ok for the most part. It wasnt the quality we thought it would be. When our son was snowblowing 10 days ago he checked the oil and fluid was running out on the floor. We immediately took it to Fleet Supply in Sauk Centre, MN as we had bought it there and they are an authorized Husqvarna repair shop. When we dropped our snowblower off on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Ralph said it would be done within 24 hours as he had to empty his shop each day. My husband said to take his time and do it right. Ralph quoted us $20.00. I wasnt ok with that as it should have been under warranty. I called on Thursday to see what was up. Ralph was very short with me and said he hadnt had time to get to it. On Saturday I called 3 times with no return call. Ralph finally called back and said he didnt want to call back as I was rude to the cashiers. Ralph isnt doing his job and it is suddenly my fault! Get a grip! He said he had to order a part. The repair was now going to be $70.00 to fix. He didnt plan on calling us to let us know that as he is just too busy. I simply wouldnt have paid it. It should have been warranty anyway. When my husband picked up the snowblower on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 they blamed us for the issue. They said we didnt put stabilizer in the gas and it broke down. I think he said the carburetor was stuck. We always put stabilizer in our equipment. Then the buyer from Husqvarna was there. He got loud and mouthy with my husband. This should have been a warranty repair plain and simple. Mr. Husqvarna said it was up to him and he said it wouldnt be covered without testing anything. I would NEVER buy anything from Fleet Supply again and I would not buy a Husqvarna. It isnt our fault it had a faulty carburetor. The people at Fleet Supply were absolute JACK **! Todd the manager was an idiot and took no responsibility and Ralph had not idea what he was doing!

My idea of a warranty & Husqvarnas idea of a warranty are very different. I do not own a truck or a trailer, so when I needed a warranty repair after the mower ran for 15 seconds, I called the number & was told to call another number. Then I was told I have to bring it in to the local dealer. I expected to call Husqvarna and they say, OK we will send a technician to your house.; if you want home service, do not buy Husqvarna. If you are not retired & do not have a truck or trailer or if you have a job and expect your mower company to actually service what they Warranty do not buy Husqvarna. Dont just read the warranty, call them and ask what the procedures are & if they make the warranty your responsibility then dont buy it. I gave Husqvarna 5 stars because they have a great business model, definitely not for service.

I purchased a new Husqvarna 555 professional chainsaw, which stopped running after only 4 hours of use. After a couple of trips to the dealer, I was informed that there was a recall on a number of 555 and 562 saws. I have been waiting for weeks to get the saw repaired but parts are on indefinite back order. Husqvarna refuses to replace the product or issue a refund. I am stuck without a saw in prime tree cutting season. It is totally unacceptable and leads me to believe that they couldnt care less about the customer.

I bought a Brand New what was supposed to be a 2018 but turned out it was a 2017! In April of 2018 I have had to replace everything above the deck at least once due to failure of components! Also I have had to change the blades at least 4 times! Leepers is where I was screwed at, and after fixing it again this last time, I found the deck was cracked at the weld of the back bracket! So I took it to an authorized warranty dealer. They called me and told me Husqvarna will not service my warranty! I paid $3000 for a mower that’s a $$$ pit! I WILL NEVER SHOP FOR HUSQVARNA EVER AGAIN, NOR DO I ADVISE ANYONE OF BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS!

3 trans in 3 years. Bought our new mower in 2016. We have less than an acre and only cut once a week during the season. We are now on our 3rd transmission and Husqvarna will not acknowledge that there is a problem with this, OR a recall. The honest repair manager at the dealership told me they are fixing a lot of these for this reason. He also told his boss that they should not sell this as they are not built well. There are plastic parts where there should be metal, which is one of the problems. If you are thinking about buying one, dont. If you are still going to get one, the first time you hear a grinding noise in back, take it in and hope that will be in the 12 month warranty, otherwise youre screwed. Terrible problem and Husqvarna doesnt give a crap. Sad.

Bought a dealership model Husqvarna GTH26V52LS two years ago. Had several problems with it the first season. Now at the beginning of season 2 1/2 with 7 months of promised warranty left, they tell me my transaxle Hydro-Gear is leaking and it is a sealed unit and a new one is $1287.65. This is a mower that spends its down time in a heated air conditioned shop. It has only 132 hours on it. No I did not run over a truck or stump or something, it just puked all the oil out while setting over the winter. As usual, my local no service dealer could not help and Husqvarnas no service personnel said sorry and the manufacturer said its out of warranty. Seems that everything on the mower from the air in the tires to the paint job has a 3-year warranty but of course the hydro-gear has a two-year warranty. Stay away from Husqvarna as they are quick to sell you a product but they do not know you once you walk out the door.

I researched all brands and bought this one even though I was skeptical after seeing the tractor in person. It was a plastic piece of junk. It scalped the grass even though the deck was leveled at the dealer twice. Uneven cut and forget about going around a corner on a slight angle. One side was cut down to the dirt while the other side was 3 inches high.I tried everything and still good. Putting the deck lift handle on the left side is ok if you are left handed but It was impossible to raise while moving with my not dominate left hand. No power steering was another mistake that I made. I actually sprained my wrist trying to make a close turn and I am 6ft. 230 lbs. I paid for the mulching kit but it threw so much grass up over the top of the tractor I had to take off the mulching plus and use it with no diffuser. The dealer was very co-operative but after having the tractor for only 3 days I paid a 10% restocking fee and that along with losing the sales tax cost me nearly $600.00. I called Husqvarna and got no return call. I bought a Cub Cadet and paid more but it is a world of difference better.

I bought this Husqvarna LTD2243 ride on mower brand new from the local deal
I bought this Husqvarna LTD2243 ride on mower brand new from the local dealer. It had a few hiccups at the start. The solenoid that opens to allow the fuel to flow into the carby was defective. It was replaced with a new part obtained from the dealer. It then started much better when needed. The engine, a two cylinder B & S works perfectly with heaps of power. The worst part is that the steering is atrocious in the N degree. The steering assembly has no way to adjust the toe in or toe out. The only way to fix the steering is to take the mower to the dealer and have new parts fitted. I was told that the problem occurs from running into rocks, logs, posts or trees. Apparently, hitting things bends some mysterious part that only the dealer can repair by replacing most of the steering suspension assembly. It all came to halt when the steering was so pathetic that when one wheel was aligned in a straightforward position, the opposite wheel was turned out 3 INCHES! Steering was impossible. The mower was also four months out of warranty. I parked the mower in the garage and studied the situation for a long time. There is no tie-rod joining the king-pins and any adjustment was impossible. The king-pins could not be altered in any way at all. The steering is performed by two rods that are fastened to the king-pins and a quadrant plate. It is impossible to remove these rods without removing most of the assembly underneath the steering column. This in itself is a pain of a job. After studying the bars for sometime I cut them in half with an angle grinder using a 1mm wide cut-off disc. The front half, about ten inches long, was then removed from the king-pins. These bars are made from .625 inch diameter steel (16 mm dia.) I cut two pieces of 30 mm dia steel, 75 mm long. A 5/8 dia hole was drilled thru the steel but offset 5 mm to form a thicker section to fit two set screws into the ends. The steering bars were reassembled with the new sleeves, the wheels set up with 5 mm toe-in to check for working and alignment. I set off with the mower and the steering was not just perfect, it was better than when it was brand new. For some reason I have yet to discover, I had to cut an extra 22 mm off one of the bars. Through all this trauma, one wheel rim had split and was replaced under warranty. I read that the rims will split when the toe-in is grossly out of alignment. I have to fit two front new tires as they no longer have enough tread and are very vulnerable to being punctured. The steering can now be adjusted very easily if required but it still has problems on full lock. It works to my full satisfaction but I was only able to modify the steering rods because I have a metal lathe in my garage. I am a Toolmaker/Machinist by trade and I am a top grade mechanical grade engineer with many years of experience both in Australia and the US. This is one machine I highly recommend NOT to buy! It also has great difficulty in cutting long grass more than four inches high. Long grass needs to cut by reversing two or three times over the same strip to get the grass down to size. The cutting deck is fabricated and is very strong but it rattles and bangs non-stop. I have yet to find a way to stop this happening. In short, have nothing to do with this mower!

Purchased new mower (46 riding mower) less than 2 months ago from Lowes. I love many things about the mower mostly the pep getting up hills and the light weight that I can easily get unstuck from around my pond by myself but my love affair ends there. With the light weight comes the cheap quality of components. Mind you I replaced a John Deere mower that was about 10 years old and only had problems with battery. So far this mower has busted the housing that holds the deck and blade together. It is very poor quality, cheap metal that busted off at bolts. Talked to Lowes and they said it would cost me to get the mower to a repair center and I would be without it some time while they repaired it. I couldnt afford to be without a mower so I replaced the part myself. Shortly after the bolts fell out and deck again failed, ordered new bolts and replaced. Next is the belt keeps falling off and it wont go into reverse without fighting with cheap, plastic foot pedal that bends when you try to press it with your foot. It locks up in either forward or when you finally get it into reverse locks there as well. The quality of the parts used is the worst ever. Who would expect a flimsy piece of plastic to last very long as a foot pedal? So I am a single parent and this was a major investment for me, and now I am forced to be a mechanic because I cant afford to be without a mower. I wish in hindsight I would have gone with the JD but it was heavier and it was important that I be able to lift the mower out of the mud myself when I got stuck.

I found myself in need of a lawn tractor on very short notice. Due to a shortage at the time I didnt have a whole lot of options. Due to availability I purchased a Husqvarna TS254XG. I was unhappy with it from the start. First off it rattles like an old tin can. No doubt some loose part that I will be able to fix, but not a good impression when I just spent north of $3000 on it. It does not mow evenly even though the deck is even. Sometimes when I engage the blades it vibrates so bad that I am afraid it will stop running all together. I have owned many garden tractors over the years and never was as disappointed in one as I am the Husqvarna. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, I would recommend you purchase a different brand.

I bought a new Husqvarna lawn tractor model #YTH22V42 just over a month ago and the second time I used it, the mower blade drive belt came off. I re-installed it and continued mowing, but it came off again. I repeated this one more time and then I parked the mower. I had the dealer pick the mower up the following week and told the dealer that the belt kept coming off. He did not ask me any questions about circumstance or time used. The tractor was in their shop for 6 days. When they returned the tractor to me, they gave me a bill for $131 for parts (new belt), repair, and pickup/delivery. The dealer called me later that day and told me I was supposed to pay the bill and that the repair was not covered under the warranty. When asked why they would not cover the repair under the warranty, the dealer said the belt came off due to operator error, that I had re-installed it incorrectly, and that basically I had ruined the belt. However, the belt was not ruined when they picked up the mower and I noted this. In fact, it still looked new. I disputed this claim to the Husqvarna customer support and submitted that the belt was either installed incorrectly to begin with or was the wrong belt. I spent over 30 minutes on hold only to have the Husqvarna customer support person say that they would have their Warranty department review the claim and call me back in 1-2 business days. They did not. I am very disappointed with both the Dealer and the Manufacturer. I will never buy another Husqvarna product, nor will I ever patronize the Dealer, Robinsons Western Auto in Starkville, Mississippi.

I bought a new garden tractor/riding mower from Husqvarna via Amazon in March 2017. Within two months it would not go into reverse. I used it as is so I could care for the 10-acre garden/lawn/orchard/vineyard I maintain until the damn thing blew up, scattering parts everywhere. It was the transmission and the clutch. Under warranty. Called Husqvarna to find a local dealer for service (I live in an extremely remote area of the US) and was referred to one some miles away who refused to service my tractor because I had not bought it from him. Called Husqvarna to report this and to see what else I could do. Turns out there was a dealer in the town closest to me, which they had failed to mention first time. It sat in the shop for weeks as we waited for parts and/or argued with Husqvarna about the warranty. Finally got it back and guess what? Two months later the transmission did the same thing: No reverse and then no forward either. It has been in the shop for weeks while we wait for parts that are back ordered or whatever is the most recent excuse. In short, out of the 17 months that I have had ownership of this equipment, I have had only 4 months of full service. I have had three garden tractors over the years and never had these kinds of problems. I will never, ever buy a Husqvarna again and would not recommend it to my worst enemy. Not only is the product inferior (plastic parts in a transmission?!) but the customer service is terrible. Perhaps I have a lemon (that can happen) but I will never take a chance like this again - and it cost twice what I am accustomed to paying! In truth, Id just like my money back so I can buy something that performs. And I have any number of witnesses to this so Husqvarna cannot dispute my claims.

At one and half years old, the mower began to lose the drive belt off of the pulleys. I purchased a new belt thinking that was the problem and began to install them. During this I discovered that the two bolts holding the front of the transaxle were missing. On inspection I discovered that they had stripped the threads in the transaxle. Looking closer I found that the frame mount brackets were breaking. One of the missing bolts was found on the deck. With the mechanical experience I have after looking at the 2 bolts, they are not long enough to handle the pressure placed on them during operation. They only go into the transaxle about a 1/4 inch. I checked the cost of the repairs and it was more than I wanted to spend on this mower. I decide to attempt repairs myself and was able to make new axle mounts that i bolted to each side of the mower frame. I looked at the transaxle schematic and discovered that I could remove the 2 bolts on top and drill from the bottom of the axle out through the bolt holes on top. This allowed me to install two four inch log bolts through the axle and the frame to secure it with lock nuts. This has worked for 2 years now. I was lucky that I repaired this issue for $20.00 and my labor. Now the steering system has failed. I have had issues with the steering drag links bending and allowing the tires to spread in the front making hard to steer. I have had to straighten them every year of use. This is all poor design issues.

I purchased a HU800AWD in Spring of 2015. The first or second time I mowed my backyard I hit a green pine cone buried in the grass. There was the usual sound when a mower hits something solid. Several laps later the drive mechanism began to slip. I stopped the mower. I found that a green pine in the drive mechanism with a bunch of grass and the PLASTIC part that covered an access to the drive mechanism had a nice hole and crack that ran to a corner screw. I cleaned out the drive mechanism, bought a sheet of thin steel, bent it into as close an approximation as I could and attached it to the mower deck. Here I want to say that my former mower a 15 year old Toro had on many occasions hit green pine cones, hidden dog toys or tennis balls in deep grass with never a hiccup. My front yard due to fescue requires a mower height change every time I mow. One of the curved tips of levers has broken off. I was willing to live with the inconvenience of the 4 wheel adjustment as opposed to one lever to change all wheels at once due to what I thought was Husqvarna quality. I made a mistake. I would not buy this mower again. I tried to post a review on Husqvarna but got the message that the review could not be posted due to some error.

First of all, I wish there was a choice of no stars (if you know what I mean) but since I have to, I will put 1 star. Last year, we purchased a Husqvarna lawn tractor YTH24k48. The battery had to be boosted off every time we used it. The tire went flat almost immediately. I bought this for my fiance (I wish now I would have purchased a John Deere). We have about an acre of flat yard to mow. For all of you who are insinuating that complainers here dont know what they are doing regarding operating a rider, thats hogwash. We have done all maintenance as is recommended in the manual (thats a positive we DID get one of those) to the specs as required oil, etc. Now the big problem: Hes on the mower mowing on flat grass and the lawn tractor starts shaking violently (we are very fortunate than no one was hurt) when suddenly he hears a big sound and he is hearing impaired. The blade falls off going into the ground making a half circle mark in the yard. We called Lowes where it was purchased (and no, for the know-it-alls, Lowes does not put them together; they remove them off a pallet and take them out of a box already assembled by the qualified Husqvarna team... not my problem). Now I called Lowes. I returned the mower to Lowes; I have owned it for 1 year 1 month so its still under warranty. Lowes sent the mower to Lanier someplace down in GA who of course works for Husqvarna. They have had the mower since May 15th; in a few days, it will be 4 weeks. Meantime grass is not getting shorter. Rider has been used a total of maybe 6 times mowing flat grass with nothing to hit. Now we are being told that the blade falling off is not a warranty issue (luckily he was not injured or we would have another issue). I dont know about you but I dont believe blades should just fall off any mower much less a $2000 mower used so little. Husqvarna mechanics, I am hearing through Lowes, are stating in their diagnostics report that the lawnmower hit something. The only possibility of anything being hit would have been a clump of grass, a small stick, or possibly though not likely a small rock of which none should make the blade fall off and so violently. We are waiting for a return call from Husqvarna (they have not returned my calls and when I call them, I am put on hold for long periods of 30 minutes or more). There is no customer service from Husqvarna. Lowes corporate office customer service has called me and appears genuinely nice but is he really concerned? We will see. I am waiting. We know many people that would be prospective buyers of Husqvarna lawnmowers. If I have anything to say about it, I will be sure to sway them away from these horrible products. I wish that I had found this site before purchasing such a piece of crap. Oh and by the way, I also purchased a Husqvarna push mower style weedeater. It worked great for a few weeks and suddenly quit and will not crank or anything so thats next to go back. Im not feeling good about any of this due to the way things have been handled so far. What happened to good ole fashioned customer service? Husqvarna is willing to lose potential customers and many sales rather than admit to poor quality and spend a little to fix their shoddy products. Buyers beware, steer way clear of Husqvarna products especially lawn mowers. Im very angry and disappointed.

I am not a happy camper and I will never buy a Husqvarna product again and will tell all about my experience. Their claim to fame is #1 in outdoor power tools but do they work and worth your money? NO.

In October 2016 I purchased a Husqvarna 125BVX Leaf Blower from Lowes. After 13 months of use it refused to start. I replaced the spark plug and still no start. I checked the compression with my thumb over the plug hole while pulling the rope and thought it was low. I took it to my local Husqvarna repair shop and was told in fact the blower had 55 lbs of compression, about half what it was supposed to. It has a two year warranty but was told that since I didnt purchase it there they would have to disassemble the blower and send pictures to Husqvarna to see if they would repair it under warranty. If they did I would have to pay for the repairs and file a claim with the company to get re-reimbursed. I thanked them and took the blower with me. I then took it to Lowes and they sent it to their authorized repair center. The center called after about a week and informed me that the blower had been operated with improper lubrication and with water in the fuel mix. Both things I knew to be incorrect. They told me it would cost me $207.00 to replace the piston and rings and rebuild the carburetor. I told them I could replace it cheaper than that just send it back unrepaired. I went to pick it up and was presented with a $61.00 bill for diagnosis. I told them to just keep the blower for the fee and they couldnt do that. Lowes marked the fee off and gave me the blower back. It has no evidence of being disassembled. I contacted Husqvarna customer service and they stood behind the incorrect diagnosis, and said they were sorry. So now I have replaced it with another brand. I wouldnt recommend buying anything with the Husqvarna name on it. It seems that they will come up with any kind of lame excuse to refuse to do warranty repairs.

Husqvarna self-propelled lawn mower from Lowes is one of the worst products ever put on the market. It never started very well from the beginning and locked the motor up after 4 uses. When returned to Lowes because we purchased an extended warranty was told there was no lubricant in the mower. We have purchased a number of mowers in our 50 some odd years of mowing and know that you must put oil in the mower!!! We are out over $500 dollars and if I could them zero stars Lowes and Husqvarna I would!!!

Bought the YTH18542 riding mower at Lowes 3 years ago. Nice machine, when it works. Poor traction if the grass is damp going uphill. Probably needs slightly larger, wider rear tires or more weight over them. The real disappointment has been the mechanical problems. After one mowing season the engine wouldnt start. Problem turned out to be the carb solenoid failure, which stopped fuel from going through the carb. Early in the 3rd mowing season, one of the pulleys for the drive (not the blades) had its bearings go bad. Bought a new pulley but the carriage bolt which secures it to the underside of the frame is loose so the nut cant be tightened enough. I would not recommend this machine if you value reliability.

My chainsaw has a design flaw. Ive had to replace the gas line 5 times. As the chainsaw is running, it vibrates the gas line back and forth and the edge of the gas tank severs the line, causing gas to leak every where and then not run at all until line is replaced again. Very upset. Would like line replaced.

In 2006, I bought a 42 Craftsman LT3000 built by Husqvarna. It has the single cyl. Briggs 20HP Intek Plus I/C motor and Hydr. trans. I mow 3 large yards with it. Once I ride my mower 5 blocks to get to pull a wagon holding a push mower and trimmers etc. In 7 years, here’s what’s been done other than oil/greased/filters/sharp blades each season.First issue at 4 years old: In 2010, I replaced deck belt - squealed in damp grass/still cuts but was annoying. In 2011 replaced blades with Gator Mulch blade. Wish I done it when it was new. Great blades cut much better than OEM! In 2012, I replaced the battery. In 2013, changed right front tire out – it kept leaking – That’s it! It’s been a wonderful mower and has never leaked/used any oil.1) I keep grass off its deck because that shortens belts/pulley life. 2) I remove the battery and battery tray at the end of every season to charge and clean grass away from fan on top of rear end because grass buildup blocks air and over heats hydro rear ends. Did you know there’s a fan under your butt? It’s not to dissipate farts… LOL. 3) I grease all steering gears/axle zerks and change oil every spring or fall. 4) Turn gas off and run carb dry every fall to keep gas from gumming up in carb. 5) I keep tires aired up.This is all Ive ever done to keep my Husqvarna going... It’s really all maintaining the mower. Grass buildup can cost one a lot of money in repairs. It’s very important to clean it off your deck/hydro. I have a friend who has the LT2000 model a few years older than mine. He was surprised I had to replace the deck belt. He still has his original belts on his after 10 years or more. But like I said, it still cuts fine. It annoyed me squealing in damp grass. I cut grass early morning its cooler.I know Kohlers had cracked blocks. They started making their motors in China years ago. Ive had Briggs and Kawasaki. I prefer Kawasaki but the wife and wallet makes me buy the Briggs. It’s been a fantastic mower and Id buy another one like it in a flash... shocked to see so many bad issues on them here. I also have a Husqvarna weed eater (Lowe’s) that Ive used 3 years now without a failed start on 2nd-3rd pull. Runs great! Hope I helped someone?BTW: Cracked frames you read about. It’s usually from larger riders riding them up ramps loading them in trucks/trailers. It happens to about every brand of mower. If you’re big, say 225+ lbs, do not ride mowers up the ramp. Push it up! A JD dealer told me that years ago when I owned one of those. JD, now those are problem mowers… $$$.

Chain saw model 235 - I bought the saw on July 9, 2009 and have not yet put five liters of mixed fuel through it when it seized. The dealer told me it was finished. The warranty is done and no one cares. Clearly a problem with the saw, but the dealer doesnt care to investigate because they have to invest to find out why it failed and they know I am not paying. To start, I work at Lowes on the Assembly Department. I know what youre thinking, but trust me, I hate working there more than you hate the store. From my experience, Husqvarna is a bad brand. They arrive pre-built, all I do is cut 4 sides of a box and roll the mowers off a pallet and into the parking lot for a 30 second test run to make sure it starts, goes forward, backward, blades engage and the brakes work. Then, it sits until the gas burns empty and it goes out to be sold. That being said, I am the one, at least at my store, who goes over the mower before it leaves for repair and I can tell you now your problems are not uncommon at all. On average, 1 out of 4 will have a flat tire before I can even test drive it. Another 1 out of 8 will be back with a bad tire the first month of use. Then theres the rotting tire issue you could face (I actually got an email that in short, said Husqvarna tires are fine. If you have people, who claim to have rotting tires, its not our fault. But because they claim its a problem, we will replace them if they ask.). If you make it through that phase, 1 in 10 will have a fuel/carb issue that needs to be addressed in the 1st year. If you have a 46in Husqvarna, check it out. They had to recall them for a gas issue this spring (2012). If you have a chainsaw, its realistically 1 in 2 that has a fuel issue (fuel line or cap or primer bulb). 1 in 8 have a chain slip problem with their saws. About the same number, 1 in 8 have issues with transmission/transaxle problems on mowers. Ive seen decks fall off, welds snap, the steering wheel is never aligned correctly with the front wheels and cant be adjusted easily. Thats just the things I can remember right now at the moment. I wont even start on the push mower and Poulan Pro stuff thats produced by them. Now for those who get pissed at Lowes, you should. This is something that you should be. If we treat you like **, tell them you want to speak to a district manager to file a complaint or do it online (it affects the bonus payout of the store manager and above so they get all annoyed and do anything possible to try and fix the problem). Those who claim that Husqvarna isnt at fault for using 3rd party products under their brand are only kidding themselves. Husqvarna is essentially making a claim that they manufacture quality products. If they believe this claim, they should use quality material. Saying its the transmission companys fault doesnt address the reality that someone at Husqvarna chose that company to partner with that product.

In August 2014 we purchased the Husqvarna Riding Mower YT54LS. We used the machines two seasons and by March and October 2015 we had the problems: 4 flanges for front wheel had to be replaced after 2 seasons of use. (They were greased). 2 wheels on the deck were cracked and broken and had to be replaced. 3 of the latches on the grass collector broke and had to be replaced. The lettering for height indicator is totally erased.Husqvarna Corporate refused to pay for replacement parts. These parts we considered defective and/or manufactured incorrectly. They did not examine the parts and just arbitrarily said it was due to improper maintenance. We mow 4 acres, we keep parts greased and we keep the mower clean and in the garage. After the denial we purchased 4 flanges/ bearings for the front tire, wheels for the deck and new latches for the grass collector. Too many problems indicate an inferior machine.

I wanted something that was going to last. I even bought the overpriced Husqvarna canned fuel mixture. I didnt want any problems. The unit stopped working in August of this year. My guess is that the 122c was used 20 times. I emailed Husqvarna with no response. We had our yard equipment tuned up this fall. The tech opened the 122c up, cleaned it out. He didnt see anything out of the ordinary. He spent a half hour (and $30 of my money) on the unit with no success. I will not ever again buy a piece of equipment manufactured by this company. It was explained that Husqvarna buys the engines from Kawasaki and installs them at one of their plants. I purchased a Husqvarna string trimmer model 327 LDx-series from Amazon in September 2014. I only used it twice, drained the non-ethanol gas each time and when I went to use it August 29 it would start, but then died when I tried to trim. I contacted Husqvarnas customer service number, 800-487-5951, and they told me I needed to take it to a certified Husqvarna dealer. Took it there and was advised that Husqvarna wont cover it because where I bought the product didnt register it, so its not covered. So I call Husqvarnas back, speak to Dawn, who was totally unhelpful, and recommends I take it to a different service center. I said why, I have it at a recommended repair shop, why would I take it somewhere else? You want me to drive all over for same result? Dawn continues to say well its probably not under warranty. Finally I call Amazon who apologized for the situation and fully refunded my purchase. Go Amazon, love you, and GOODBYE Husqvarna, my first and LAST experience ever with your products!!! Hard lesson, but grateful that Amazon stands by their customers and protects their purchases, lesson learned: Dont buy Husqvarna ever. Back to Echo for me.

I have been very disappointed in the all wheel drive mower. I have a steep hill to mow and for over 25 years I have used Honda self propelled mowers without a problem pulling the hill. My Honda was in the shop and I needed a mower so I purchased the all wheel drive model - thinking it would work better on my hill. I used it three or four times and the mower stopped pulling, even on level ground. I took it back to dealer and it was repaired. Unfortunately, after it was repaired the same issue developed. The mower would not pull, even on level ground. Back to dealer for repair again. On its best day, this mower has not pulled as well as my Honda. I have two Husqvarna Rancher chainsaws and other Husqvarna products that I am very pleased with. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend an AWD all wheel drive mower. Based on other reviews, I am not the only person having issues with this model. I would hope that Husqvarna would research the issue I, and others are having, and provide a solution. I have no issue with the cranking or bagging with this unit. I do have an issue in having to push a self propelled mower on level ground.

I purchased a new Husqvarna saw from Lowes and use it twice. On second, the use of the engine seized mechanically. I contacted Lowes for repair. The service advisor tried to say I used too much oil in the gas mix and caused the failure. As a mechanic for over 30 years, I informed him that a rich seize was not possible. Foul the plug, maybe, excess smoke, probably, seizing; no way! Authorized to take to local service center. I was informed that the saw was three years old and out of warranty. Produced my (6-month-old) receipt as proof of date. After several weeks of wrangling on the part of the service center, I was authorized to do repair. I found that the wrist pin clip had fallen out and allowed the wrist pin to become lodged under the cylinder. Okay, problem identified and repaired. I was informed by repair center that the carburetor should be replaced for $175, thanks. I got the saw back and sold it on e-bay for 50 cents on the dollar. I went to real chain saw dealer, bought it and it works awesome; 30 cords in and no problems. Never again for Lowes or Husky!I lost $200 and got way too much aggravation.

I buy all brand new Husqvarna equipment when I opened my landscaping business 8 months ago. I paid for Lowe’s no hassle warranty, and thought that the nicest equipment from Lowe’s and extra warranty would start me in the right direction. Boy was I wrong! Lowe’s warranty is completely worthless. If they do anything at all it will be blame you for the damage, then charge you for the repairs that don’t even fix the problem. Husqvarna is no better, when I’ve given up on trying to have my equipment fixed again I asked to just get my money back for the garbage they sold me. Then they reply to me that they will only fix it and that’s if they feel that the damage is due to something that they deem under warranty! Wtf!? Really? I paid for an extra warranty that Lowe’s won’t uphold because it’s under Husqvarna’s warranty so Lowe’s isn’t responsible, and then Husqvarna’s warranty is that they will only fix what they feel like fixing if they feel like doing anything? Don’t bother with Husqvarna. Every piece of their equipment I’ve purchased has given me trouble and if you do definitely do not waste your money on the extended warranty at Lowe’s. I bought a new 130BT backpack blower in June of 2011, used it across the summer and into the fall. In late fall, I noticed that it was not developing power as it should. I set it up for the winter and took it to Lowes in the spring of this year to have it sent off and repaired. After about a month, I received a call from the authorized service center telling me that the repairs were not covered under warranty. Caller said that there was excessive moisture in gas, therefore, diluting the oil in the mixture, and scouring the cylinder walls and trashing the carb. I used the Husky oil purchased at Lowes and followed instructions on type of gas and mixing. I mean, seriously, I have only been mixing 2-cycle oil for 25 years, and have never had a problem in the past. I have been told that gasoline with ethanol will cause a problem such as this, as the ethanol will evaporate leaving excessive moisture in the gasoline. If this is the case, why does Husky not publish this in their 2-cycle manuals so consumers will buy ethanol free? I told the caller to take the blower out back and toss it as far as they could, and I would go buy an Echo blower to replace it. I went by Lowes today to pick up the thing, as they would not even dispose of it as I asked.

This is our 3rd summer of trying to cut our lawn with this piece of junk Husqvarna calls a lawnmower. It has been nothing but a pain in our side. First, it was assembled incorrectly (whether from mfg or Lowes) and in trying to work through all the numerous issues we have had with this lawnmower has my husband discovered the errors in assembly - tires were dry rotted from the start, replaced with wrong wheel by Lowes, parts put on backwards, now, on and on... And, now, it is choking out so bad we can barely get through the yard. He has completely cleaned and reassembled the carburetor, replaced parts, tires, blades, on and on and we still have problems with this mower. Buyer beware - pass over this brand - youll do yourself a favor. We cant afford to buy another one and dont have the clear conscience to pass this POS on to another poor soul trying to have a nice yard we can at least mow!

DO NOT BUY ANY HUSQVARNA products. They are inferior machines. I purchased a YTH23V48 riding lawn mower 1 year ago. It has 27 hours on it and has been in the shop 4 times!!! Will not cut even and doesnt vacuum up the grass properly (purchased 3 bag system as well) so I have to cut the grass twice to get all the clippings. Waste of time and $$. Paid over $2K for this machine; deck was replaced which they said was bent. Put 3 sets of blades to no avail with 3 deck alignments, the crazy thing is to ONLY make right turns when cutting ridiculous so as not to leave grass clippings everywhere.

New mower was delivered to my new house. It was a 23hp tractor with 48 inch cut. I mowed a large lot three times, logged seven hours of easy terrain mowing and then the tension spring broke. I only owned the mower for two months.
