This has been the worst car I have ever purchased. When I first got it, the rear view mirror started turning dark and the stuff inside started turning black and now its horrible. Years later, the Dashboard and the door panels started getting sticky and anytime you touched them they got black stuff on your finger and would scratch the panels. The dash is so shiny that when you drive in the day you cant even see out the window because of the glare. Now the navigation system doesnt work and it operates the ac, radio, navigation and everything else about the car. I took it to the dealership and they wouldnt touch the nag because the dashboard would fall apart and they dont want to be responsible. They said this happens to everyone that comes in. I called lexus and they cant do anything for me because there hasnt been any complaints filed (what the rep tells me) yet all over the internet thats all you read. Its a shame, my wife want to trade her car in for a new lexus, but there is no way, especially when they wont even help us.

My conclusion in short: When buying new, do not intend to keep it after warranty expiration. And never buy used. Here is a long explanation. Very expensive parts. Price fells fast. Reason - expensive parts and low demand as many know these are expensive to maintain. 7 small plastic clips fell off from bottom plastic panels. Cost for one clip $10 bucks. Should cost several cents but no more than $1. They are Lexus unique size. Lucky I found aftermarket $1.50 for 10 abroad. Next, Lexus USA does not stand behind its cars. Exhaust rusted out and made the hole right at the place where it makes a turn at 65k miles (?) one week after extended warranty. At this place band was not an option. Cost to replace $2300, $1800 for part itself. Why? Because exhaust and converters are one complete unit. Called LEXUS USA. Response: Our decision is not to cover even though only one week past warranty. Also our records indicate that you later started to replace oil at other places. What oil has to do with bad exhaust? It is our decision. I had many cars over the years including Toyotas and replaced exhaust on many of them. Some at 150k miles and above. Parts were expensive, but not that expensive. In another instance headlight was damaged. Part cost $2000. It has 2 motors in it to adjust in horizontal and vertical plane, but still it is ridiculous price. I am technical and very handy. Always serviced cars myself. My conclusion is that they are reliable, but complicated cars. Chances to fail are greater in this setup. Therefore in my opinion for long term ownership quality and performance is not enough anymore to justify cost of long ownership or Lexus policies. Lease - maybe, but then return and lets Lexus eat them all.

I purchased a new 2015 RX450h from a Lexus Dealership in MO in mid-December. I had the opportunity last month to observe my vehicle with the headlamps on. To my surprise, the headlamp covers are badly distorted. I took my vehicle back to the dealership only to discover that all the Lexus on the showroom floor had the same problem. I contacted Lexus and received 2 emails and 1 phone call explaining that its the way they are made and they are not looking for a fix. This is a real problem and maybe even a safety issue as the vehicle ages. Im extremely disappointed in the quality of the headlamp covers and that Lexus does not care about the product they put on the market. If you have a 2015 or 2016, take a look at your headlamps when on!

Lexus has a broad range of varieties to choose from. Personally I like the 430. Its very roomy, gets around to notice and stop it and its a beautiful vehicle. The interior is leather, has Bluetooth that Parks itself and the maintenance minimum XM Satellite Radio, heated seats, adjustable steering column and also GPS. And it also has a wonderful moon roof. The upgrades has hands-free parking, heated seats which are very important in the wintertime and cooled seats are very important in the summertime. Remote mirrors which are heated is very important in the winter time to keep the snow off. Passenger capacity is very good. It seats 5 comfortably, two in the front and 3 in the back with another leg room in the front to compensate. A 6-foot person can probably sit back there pretty much constantly in the back of the car.

I just purchased a 2017 Lexus RX-350. When driving it home, I felt an extensive vibration (exhaust drone noise vibration issue) and a transmission lag problem. Initially, I thought it might be the highway. Ultimately, I felt it on all roads. I brought the car back to Lexus service and they told me that these are known Lexus problems with no solution. Upon further research, I discovered that these problems also existed in the 2016 model.Lexus sales management explained to me that this problem was due to Lexus extending the length of the vehicle coupled with a higher horsepower engine, HUH??? I am in the process of speaking with Lexus customer satisfaction regarding this issue. I would not recommend buying this vehicle unless you are sure that your car does not have this problem.

I just recently purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2012 Lexus RX350 with only 13,000 miles on it from Lexus of Monterey, California. As soon as I took it on the highway at over 60 miles per hour, there is a loud wind noise. It sounds like the passenger window is open, even though it is not. I have taken it back to the dealership 2 times, and they just tell me there is nothing wrong with the windows or the seal. They say the RX 350 is an SUV and just louder than a sedan, and to just get used to it. This is such an illogical argument. I have owned 3 different SUVs in over 30 years, and have never heard wind noise like this. I went online and there are hundreds of the exact same complaint about the wind noise in the Lexus RX350. Yes, I agree, as others have said on this site, there needs to be class action suits brought against Lexus. This is ridiculous to pay this kind of money for a supposedly luxury car and have a loud wind noise issue. And from what I have read on this Consumer Affairs site, there are many more serious negative issues with the RX as well. I am trying to get my money back and will not buy another Lexus.

We bought 2008 Lexus RX400h, with 79k miles on it, a few weeks ago from Hanlees Toyota in Richmond, CA. We thought we made a smart decision buying hybrid vehicle this time. Guess what, even though Lexus states mpg 27/24 on this vehicle. We never got close to these numbers. We have been driving the vehicle for almost a month now and average mpg is 20.6. We sold our Highlander and upgraded for hybrid Lexus. We drove our highlander for over 10 years. Our average mpg was 21.8. What a disappointment for Lexus. I dont understand how do they get away with this type of false statements at all. We paid whole a lot of extra money to get hybrid vehicle to save money but it seems like we wasted for nothing. We will definitely keep pursuing to get some sort of resolution on this matter. This is not right and legal whatsoever. I am sick of these big corporations that they think they can do whatever they want and get away with anything. I am sick of them.

I own a 2005 Lexus RX300 SUV with 109,000 miles. In early 2013 I began to notice a crack on the passenger side front dashboard. I took it to the dealer and their solution was for me to replace the front dashboard. Total estimated cost - $1,800. The crack follows the line of the passenger side airbag. When you buy a luxury car you expect the interior to last longer than 8 years. The car is parked in a garage. I think the defect is associated with the way the airbag was installed and I further believe Toyota knows this. Beyond the appearance issue I wonder if the airbag is defective?

Lexus RX330 2004 with less than 100,000 miles has only been serviced at Lexus dealership. It appears to be a common problem and Lexus is well aware that the sunroof drain holes can get clogged. It caused the soaking of the cars carpet which needed to be replaced. It is a thousand of dollars repair. Lexus told us to turn it into our insurance company. It is not part of their maintenance schedule and they know it is a problem.

We bought our 2000 Lexus RX300 brand new in Sept 2000. As Lexus was worried about the impending release of the Acura MDX, we got a few hundred dollars below-list price. Starting in 2009-2010 period, the windows began failing, i.e. the up/down switches no longer worked in the front windows. Then the door locks started failing. Now whenever I lock the car 1 of the 4 doors randomly does not lock and I must walk around the car manually locking all the doors. Note that this is WORSE than no door locks at all because unlocking the front door by key or by switch tends to unlock all the doors, meaning the car WASTES my time. We have had several incidences on a long trip where the window got stuck down and you have to drive home with the driver and/or passenger window open. Lexus wants $500/door to replace the $5 servo motor, because the doors are extremely poorly designed and literally take 4-5 hours to disassemble and reassemble each one!It was the final straw when the antenna motor failed and I had to remove 28+ nuts and bolts and disassemble the ENTIRE rear cargo area just to get the dang thing out! Lexus is so arrogant they think their $5 motors and $10 antennas never break, so the car is actually VERY POORLY put together and not easily maintainable. We never seek Lexus dealer service because they charge 2x what our local Asia car-mechanic costs, and they have junior techs! Beware!

First... Let me say that my Lexus dealership is fantastic. They were available and worked hard to solve my problem. That being said... My problem was with Lexus Roadside Assistance Program. At 6 pm I hit a rather large pothole with my CT200 which resulted in a flat tire. I got myself to a place out of traffic and called my dealership who told me I could call Lexus Roadside Assistance and gave me the # and transferred me. The call rang and rang... Finally someone picked up... Asked me if I was in a safe location (I responded yes) and said ok... She was going to place me back on hold, they just wanted to initially make sure I was not in an accident and was in a safe location. (My impression was high... Its a good process).I was then on hold for 20 minutes! I hung up and called back... Went through the same process... Another 15 minutes later I repeated my process and when the safety person answered the phone I asked him to please not put me on hold that I had been waiting for a while to speak to someone. He arrogantly told me that my situation was not priority and they were getting slammed with accidents and put me on hold.I called my dealership for advice... They were baffled and suggested I call AAA... I also ask them if the service manager who has ALWAYS been helpful, could give me a call when he got a chance. I hung up and called AAA and placed the request. In the meantime the service manager got hold of someone at Roadside Assistance and conferenced them in to me. At first the client service rep was seemingly irritated, but then calmed down and took my information and told me hed call AAA. I told him I had already done that. I must say that the ticket placed by Lexus was answered prior to my personal call to AAA, which is another matter, but I waited and AAA showed up and took care of my problem. While this is not as big an issue as others have had and I was not in danger... Merely irritated... I do have to speak to their customer service representatives and the process they have in place. They do have a system to find out the urgency of each callers situation, however, from a provider of high end luxury cars, the service seemed to stop there. Perhaps those who were having a true emergency received stellar service, but I should have too. Once it was determined that I was safe I shouldnt have had extended wait time to speak with someone... I was a woman, alone in a disabled car, in a not perfect location at dark. I should not have had to wait for over an hour to finally get in touch with someone for assistance.I would have preferred that Lexus process took into account that everyone calling them needed to be attended to in a timely fashion. It seems they have attempted to create a process, it just doesnt work well for non-emergency consumers.

Mr. David **, of Bell Lexus Service, Phoenix, AZ told me that this has been a known problem. I think this is a defective material issue that should have been disclosed before I purchased the Lexus, as I would not have purchased a car that I use for business that absorbed fabric dye from dark pants, skirts, etc. I expected better quality; especially from Lexus! My local detail shop cannot get the dye stains out of the sides of the seats and door panel. Bell Lexus did get it out and they put a sealer on the seats and door and within two days the stains were back. David told me that I could bring the car back for seat cleaning but not every week. David also suggested that I not wear expensive jeans or other dark fabrics in the car? Do I tell my clients the same thing? What if I purchased a leather sofa and this happened? Shouldnt the same principles apply? As a Real Estate professional, I use my Lexus in my business to transport clients. Appearance is an important part of my job. A stained interior will very likely cost me lost sales, lost listings, and fewer referrals. My car is a business investment. Even the non-professional Lexus owner would not like this happening to their supposedly high quality car.Since David was acting as an agent for the Lexus admits the problem; I want this issue addressed and corrected. It is obviously, an undisclosed defect, in that it is inferior quality material, especially with a tan interior. For certain, the sides of the seats and door panels are made from defective materials. Please correct this problem as soon as possible, for I do not want to suffer any further losses.

The buyer can upgrade to meet a variety of personalization such as rack or foot board on an SUV, a sunroof, tinted windows, seat warmers, and wheels. The RX 350 sits 5 people comfortably even if one person is tall. The back seats recline a little to add extra comfort on long trips. I am the original owner of a 2008 GS350. I bought a Lexus because they had a reputation for high reliability. My car certainly has not lived up to that reputation. I have had tons of little problems but with only 62,000 miles on my car the engine blew up while on the freeway and 12 miles from any service. I had a headlight that wasnt working and it cost me $2200 to repair it because my ballast was faulty and they require you to replace the whole light assembly (lenses, plastic parts, etc.). What an insane expense and an environmental disaster. Lexus Customer Satisfaction (lack of satisfaction?) basically did nothing to compensate me or fix the problem. I will NEVER buy another Lexus. I highly recommend that you also stay away from any Lexus. They are certainly not the company they used to be.

Before I begin my complaint I would like to say the car drives very well and is very sporty. I get a lot of compliments on the vehicle, then they say why is that peeling like that? My Email correspondence with Lexus about my issue: I have a 2006 GS300. I recently noticed my molding along the front windshield that runs along the top to the windshield beginning to PEEL. Really unbelievable for a luxury car. It is embarrassing and damaging to the Lexus brand to have something like this occur AT NO FAULT of my own to this vehicle. I was at the local dealership on a separate issue and was told the roof drip molding was $763.67, absolutely unbelievable. Total repair cost $1200. Why would this peel like this? This is my second Lexus. I had a LS430 before this. I have by far had more issues out of this vehicle than any others I have owned. I am just blown away and I need Lexus to stand behind their brand. I would like the roof molding repaired. This is just ridiculous to have an issue like this on this type of car.The response from Lexus: Thank you for contacting the Lexus Customer Satisfaction Department regarding your 2006 GS 300, Vehicle Identification Number **. We appreciate the time you have taken to share your thoughts. As an automotive manufacturer, Lexus feels its warranty is one of the most comprehensive in the industry, and demonstrates faith in the performance and reliability of its product line. Lexus also realizes that product failures can occur on any vehicle at any time, and regrets any inconvenience this may cause. In an effort to be sensitive to the expectations of Lexus customers, we review matters on a case by case basis when a product failure occurs outside the warranty period. We have examined all information pertinent to your request for assistance, including the nature of the repair, mileage on the vehicle, and the warranty expiration date. We conclude it is not appropriate for Lexus to provide assistance on the repair of the front windshield moldings. We apologize that this may not be the response you hoped for. If you require further assistance, please contact the Lexus Customer Satisfaction Department at 1-800-255-3987, Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Pacific Time.My final response: First off thank you for your time and attention to my concern, however I am not pleased with the decision. I see now purchasing a second Lexus was a mistake on my part. I understand Lexus has the right to not stand behind their product and I have the right to not purchase their product. I understand CLEARLY from the discussion from my service advisor that I purchased a USED vehicle not a new one. However as I stated I purchased a used Lexus with a verifiable service history. In fact it was a Lexus certified vehicle. I purchased a used Lexus, not a used Hyundai, Mazda, Chevy, Honda or Ford. Which by the way has a more comprehensive warranty than a Lexus. 5 years, 7 years, and lifetime on certain parts. And cost far less on the initial purchase. Now a Lexus as stated in consumer reports has a better resale and loan value. So I suppose there is the trade off.But as I stated on the outset I will not be purchasing another USED Lexus product certified or not. I will however let the message board know about my experience. I will also let anyone know about Lexus products/customer service and if the paint begins to peel for no reason, out of the blue it’s your issue. Lexus customer service will stand behind the small issues but when it comes to anything costly you’re on your own. I wonder if the door falls off next or the spoiler blows off while driving, the bumper just comes unhooked for no reason, my seat brakes apart… I mean really whats next. Even though it’s a luxury car, it’s not quality built - these are things that should not happen to this type of car. This email may not mean much in the grand picture. I am just one consumer, but I will exercise my right as a consumer. My wife and I have owned Mercedes, BMW, Acura, Audi, and Infiniti. We never had any issues like this to occur. Lexus wants nearly $1200 for a piece of plastic molding!!! Ironically I have never heard of these things happening with a Toyota, only with a Lexus. A Lexus may look good but the quality is another subject.

The upgrade from the previous models are truly noteworthy. The GPS, along with rearview cameras and signaling when theres on coming traffic on either of your blind spots. The warning features are really good news. Theres also a lot of room available in both the front and back sits. I purchased a Lexus GX 470. Bought the SUV off a lease. Not even after a yr one of my running boards cracked in a bended area at a stress point. Went to Lexus. They said we cant help you. We dont know why it happened. Then my dash cracked. There was a recall on that so they did replace but a couple of years before that my rims started bubbling. I was told at the Lexus dealer that my style vehicle that all the rims are doing that. They had a few on their lot for service. They went and looked at their rims and they were bubbling also.I do know why and Lexus corporate wont stand behind these defects. I dont know about you. If you spend that kind of money for a car you consider top of the line, well I feel that they are the bottom of the line. I have been a business owner in Farragut, Tenn over 23 yrs and I will make sure ALL my client know how they stand up for their product which they dont. So customer BEWARE ONCE ITS YOURS. LEXUS WONT HELP WITH THIS THAT GO WRONG WITH A CAR that should have happened. Poor craftsmanship. I have had 3 Nissan Pathfinders. 2 of them have had over 250000, never a running board problem or cracked dash and NO BUBBLING RIMS.

I like the add-ons that I received when I bought the car plus all the aftermarket things that I put on and in my car after I bought it. I like my car and would buy it again and again.

The Lexus NX-300 we bought has worked out well for us. The vehicle has exceeded our expectations. We like the fact that this is a SUV. The part time AWD is really helpful here in the Chicago area. Also, the GPS in the car is really helpful and has traffic and construction updates. We like the heated seats too and the satellite radio. Bredemann Lexus where we bought the vehicle has our exceeded our expectations too. But the motion detector to get the rear liftgate to go up needs improvement. The motion detector isnt very sensitive and is sometimes quicker to use the keys. Otherwise, the vehicle works just great.A:

Probably this was my worst decision to buy a pre-owned 2014 Lexus IS 250 AWD back in 2016. I was certainly duped by looking at those J.D. Power ratings of dependability and reliability. Bought a pre-owned Lexus dealer certified 2014 IS 250 AWD and vehicle is in a very good in condition until a couple of days ago where AC was blowing hot air when I was doing a long trip with my family along with my newborn four and a half month old. The AC was working fine till we reach the destination and on our way back is where the AC did not work and we had to drive back home 140 miles under 95 degrees hot day with a four and a half month baby. I had shared my experience with my colleagues and they say I shouldve bought an extended warranty. Damn! Why in the world should I buy an extended warranty when I am paying so much for a car which is branded as reliable and dependable? This is nuts. So, I took my vehicle to the local Toyota dealer (obvious that the Lexus dealer is going to rip me off with their charges and that is totally fine because its LEXUS) and it costs me $700 to fix a sensor and redo the whole AC to be up and working. Very dissatisfied with Lexus and did not expected this kind of issue when the vehicle is still under 100,000 miles. Definitely, moving to a different brand in a very short time.

I was sitting in traffic and heard a pop. The next morning the interior lining in between the glass had a long separation in it. Took lexus IS 350 to lexus dealer and was told that a rock caused the break. Well, there is no chip in the glass but there was a chip on the top of the roof that had taken a large chip out of the paint. The hit was in alignment with the latch where the top fits into the windshield area...of course being a female, it was clear that the repair manager was right and I was wrong... we are treated different even in 2015. There is no hit on the windshield and due to my experience as an insurance agent for 30 years and having taken glass repair classes, I strongly feel the cause is a stress break caused by the roof structure and the design where the convertible top meets the windshield. The corporate office is to check with the service manager...hear what he says. Now really do you think he will change his story??? I ask that but got the standard answer...he is the service manager. I expect nothing but a run around even after being a loyal Lexus buyer of 5 Lexus....will never buy another Lexus unless they admit that stress cracks do happen and this is one. Beware of Lexus cars...run.

My teenage son was driving home late after work and the streets were empty. However there was one car that enticed my son to race. Little by little the cars exceeded the speed limit. The police told us the cars were going 85mph. My sons car hit a bump in the road, went airborne and when he came down, he didnt want to hit the other car that was racing him, so he overcorrected the other way, hit a curb and rolled the 2007 Lexus 350 6 times. The car was mangled. But my son was able to walk away from the accident with a small bruise on his shoulder where the seat belt was and a scratch on his shin. The police who saw the accident could not believe that my son crawled out of the lexus with out any injuries. A higher power is responsible along with the excellent frame of the lexus. The front drivers side and passenger side overheard and side frame was intact. The rest of the car looked like it went thru the blender. I wish I could post pictures. The lexus 350 has always been a smooth riding car. Even though it was a 2007 with 130,000 miles on it, it rode beautifully. Needless to say my sister who owned the 2007 lexus 350 decided to buy another lexus. With its safety features, there was no question as to what kind of car she would get. However since she had a choice my sister purchased an RX 350 SUV.

I have a Lexus 350 bought in 2013. I love it!!! However, I think there is a potential danger in one of the features of placement of knobs!!! The ignition round button to the right of the steering wheel and the knob for the radio are too close together and I have twice now pushed the radio button thinking I had turned the ignition off!!!!!!! There was extraneous noises from a lawn mower and I just went inside and left the car running. I was shocked when I came out an hour later and found the car running. I believe the two buttons, probably the ignition button should be placed in another area higher, lower or someplace away from the radio button. Now I realize if I had locked the car it might have sounded an alarm, but not sure. Sometimes it is not necessary for me to lock my car and I just push the button and go inside. I am now very nervous and feel stressed about pushing the wrong button and always going out to re check. Would appreciate your feedback on this for what I think is a design problem and could cause a dangerous situation. Thank you so much. This note.

I purchased a 2016 Lexus ES350 in May 2016. For the first year Lexus offers a one year complimentary subscription to their Enform Safety Connect and Service Connect features. The Service Connect feature is supposed to provide maintenance alerts and the health of your vehicle through a Vehicle Health Report available by e-mail or by viewing the Health Report on the Lexus Drivers Website. The Service Connect feature has never worked from the day I picked up the car. Since May I have called Lexus Corporate 5 times about this issue and contacted the Lexus dealership twice but I get no satisfactory answers. No one can tell me what the problem is nor can they resolve the issue. Frankly I have given up on getting this issue resolved. Lexus wants $164.89 for a one year subscription for the Safety and Service Connect package. I have, therefore, decided not to renew the subscription when my one year complimentary subscription ends. Lexus has the audacity to charge $164.89 for a service where one the components of the subscription they cannot provide.I have had other issues that I have called Lexus Corporate about. I used their Built IT tool and I relied on information on their website when I configured my ES350. However, when I went to the dealership to order the car I found that some of the information was wrong and the car could not be ordered in the configuration per their Build It tool. In addition, when I took delivery of the car I found that the interior of the car was not what was shown per the Build It tool. When I complained to Lexus Corporate about it I was told Lexus was not responsible for any incorrect information on their website and if I relied on that information then that was my problem. This was my first Lexus and it will be my last. The Customer Service is simply not what one expects from a high end car company. I have had Mercedes cars in the past and if I had an issue they promptly took care of it. Lexus does not seem to care about their customers.

Ive read many of the reviews here and so sorry to hear of so many horror stories when dealing with Lexus. My wife and I own two, both 2015s: A GS350 and an RX350. The ironic part.... we bought them from a terrific local Carmax, not the local Lexus dealer. Both extremely low miles and in pristine condition; both bought in 2018. We LOVE the cars. Now.... the Lexus dealer here in Raleigh, NC is Johnson Lexus and, even though we didnt purchase the vehicles from them, they have been nothing short of fantastic in their dealings with us. They literally bend over backward to make their customers happy; prompt, fair, efficient, and GOOD service on our vehicles. Friendly, helpful staff. Do things for free very often. Just aces. So the moral of the story, IMHO, is it really comes down to the quality of the dealership you have in your area. If youre lucky enough to get a dealer like we have in Raleigh at Johnson Lexus.... youre good to go. If not? Potential nightmares. Guess the warning to potential Lexus buyers is this: Spend a LOT of time researching both the car AND the dealership before you act.

I spoke to Appointment agent to set up appt for my car to be seen both for brakes repair and review of rusting on all 4 door handles. Firstly, the agent suggested that he had never heard of such an issue (odd since he has so many 2009 Lexus models on his lot!). Not only was my rusting concern misdirected to an alternative department, my request for vehicle repair suggested I would have to wait in the dealership for hours rather than shuttled home to work and return to pick my car up (because I was out of shuttle territory)! This dealership is the closest one to me in Whitby. This experience and the lack of genuine service from the Lexus Dealership confirms, I love the car but will never buy or promote the brand based on my poor experience. Thank you, Don Valley Lexus - Customer Service is definitely lacking. The vehicle was not purchased from you - but you cost the brand a very valuable client for servicing and future vehicle purchases!

I find that Insulting. First they give you the good news and make you drive in to get the bad news! I used the Ferrara Law Group in Miami. They won their Class Action Suit against Toyota/Lexus 3 years ago and had to bring Toyota/Lexus back to court because they were stalling/stonewalling their customers after they had already lost the case! Given the need and or opportunity we would return to the same place in the future and see about buying an auto from the same place once again. We were also quite happy with the upgrade and personalized options that were offered. We like to get the maximum upgrades that are available because we like our car to reflect our personality and shed a light on our unique and affluent lifestyle. Also, we are happy with the passenger capacity. We are a family of four and it accommodates us very nicely. There is also adequate room to accommodate two other passengers, although, we rarely need the additional space.

Brand new car today (2019 ES 350 with luxury package). Beautiful ride and handling. Sound system is HORRIBLE. I dare you to try and get adequate sound from rear speakers! With the fader its all or nothing. If you toggle to get more volume from the rear, the front speakers cut out completely. The sound was just as good in cars I owned during the 70s. I bought the car in Brossard (South Shore, Montreal). First thing I noticed is that there were 188 kilometers on the new car (about 140 miles). Thats like driving half-way from Montreal to NYC! Then, I had trouble loading a CD to listen to the sound. Turns out there was already a CD in it... Rap Music, to boot! I can only imagine where this new car has been before I got in it. Dealer (Gabriel Lexus) didnt give a damn... I was told simply to enjoy the car... My first stop was the car wash, where I got the guys to clean the windshield of film and streaks. Previously, I owned 16 Nissans and Infinitis in a row (sixteen vastly better experiences!). I hope I feel better about LEXUS tomorrow, after a good night sleep.

Convenient dealer for service and free, unlimited car washes!!! 5th Lexus purchased - some different models RX & ES, great service all over the world and especially from this dealer. I love the ease of a loaner when they are doing work on my car. But I would like a tighter turning radius for the car and to have the ES in a hatchback type of rear for larger packages, luggage, etc. Better gas mileage, cheaper price in purchase and service too.

I had an oil leak under my 2003 Lexus GX 470. I was told it was from the transfer case and electronic actuator. The cost to repair would be $2,000 because it required 20 hours of labor to replace a seal. I told them to forget it. I went on the Internet and found similar problems other owners were having--same type of $2,000 charge.I found one person who said that he did the repair himself, described the procedure and took pictures. It was a simple O-ring replacement in the electronic actuator. I crawled under my car, took my own pictures and compared them to his pictures. The leak looked similar. I took the instructions and pictures to a local repair shop, not Lexus.I went over the information with the owner and he said it looks pretty simple. He put my car on a lift, raised it, removed 3 bolts and slid off the actuator. The O-ring was bad. Lexus did not have an O-ring in stock but Toyota did, which was the same part number. The O-ring was $5.00. Lexus was probably charging $20.00. He replaced the O-ring and reinstalled the actuator in less than one hour. This $2,000, 20-hour labor job took one hour and cost me just $85.85. Now, that makes me feel good but very angry at the same time, knowing how I could have been ripped off. I just want to let the public know that you should do some investigation on the Internet before making a high dollar commitment. You might find an answer that will save you thousands of dollars.

Lexus needs a few more models as to distinguish itself from other luxury brands. Right now, Lexus has a staple of sedans and coupes for a sporty type of brand. I am not impressed with their SUV and perhaps they need a different type of crossover. I found too that Lexus did not offer as many upgrades as I had hoped to find from a luxury car company. I felt limited by the options available. Otherwise, Lexus has a very Alex and modern look which is supported by modern in-car features. Lexus does a good job of incorporate a more modern feel into a luxury car. The car also fits about 4 comfortably which is more than enough for me. I think it very average in that respect.

I took my 2011 RX 350 in because I noticed a small bubble in the side of my rear driver’s side tire. The dealer told me it was not covered under the warranty because it was a road hazard. This is nothing but an excuse not to cover it. If it were a road hazard then there would be some kind of mark on the rim and/or the side of the tire, but there is none on either. I feel that this is a defect in the tire and should be covered under the warranty. It probably started out very small and is now about an inch and a half long, from the tread inward. This car only has 7,400 miles on it. This is my second lease of a Lexus. I feel I should be treated better than this and the tire should be replaced.I would like someone to contact me regarding this ASAP. Regards,Steve **

My Ls has been in Lexus dealer since Dec 5 2016. Today is January 13th 2017 and I have yet to receive my car back. The vehicle needs a new navigation hard drive. I have third party warranty which covered the repair ($1400 part + labor). Prior to getting the warranty I bought new front end suspension parts for the vehicle. ($5,000+ air struts, upper and lower control arms and hardware, sway links etc all Lexus parts all out of pocket expense) I have all receipts for the repairs done and parts bought. My Vehicle had no issue or problems beside the navi when I brought it in for service. My vehicle was dropped off at Lexus on Dec 5 for the hard drive issue and still have yet to be fixed. I received the car back on Dec 27th only because I needed the vehicle for the new year as my loaner was way too small to fit my family in. Is300. (My car was 3 weeks sitting in the dealer parking lot doing nothing but waiting for parts). When I picked it up on the 27th driving back home from the dealer, CHECK HYBRID illuminated. I panicked. I pulled over and called the dealer. No answer. They were closed already. I didnt have this issue before bringing it to the dealer. I didnt worry too much because repairs still wasnt completed and maybe thats what caused the issue so continued on my way home. No problem. My Vehicle was returned on Monday (January 2nd) first thing to complete repair and the battery was diagnosed. Trouble code PA080 hybrid battery failure. Lexus wants $7,800+ to replace battery and my third party warranty covers all hybrid components except hybrid battery. My advisor informed me that I just missed the hybrid warranty period. 8 years/100k. I was informed that the vehicle will not drive for long and will leave me stranded somewhere down the road eventually if I continue to drive it.I travel from Massachusetts to New York often and cannot take that big of a risk. So I Filed a complaint about the battery as well as poor service. Manager Diane ** contacted me 24 hrs later saying she will make the contact with my dealer to see what can be done and speak with her manager. Communication was absolutely horrible. I had to call corporate multiple times just to get a reply. Diane never called me when she said she would. So I called again and they said Oh she left a message for you saying that your dealer will contact you today with a resolution. (One week later) She says Lexus corporate offers me a $300 credit for the inconvenience. I said What? Thats horrible. I drive a Ls600hL. Theres nothing I can get done or buy with that. I took the offer. Only because they wouldnt offer any further assistance. Something was better than nothing. As far as the hybrid battery, I asked her again what can Lexus do about this? She pretended as if this was a new story I was giving her. As if I didnt discuss it before with her. When The initial complaint was filed, it was regarding the hybrid battery. She says she will get back to me. Today Jan 13 2017. Corporate calls me and says they denied my claim for the hybrid battery and wont assist me on it. I have owned a Ls430, Ls460, and now a Ls600hL. Lexus top flagship. Never thought I would get service like this with Lexus. And its sad to say but this will be my Last and FINALE LEXUS.I will not support a company that cannot support the customers. I stood behind you for a number of years and never asked for a thing. Now when I need assistance you send me to hell. I will continue to share this wherever I can so all long term Lexus customers will know that Lexus isnt Lexus no more. So be prepared for anything. I no longer see reliability with Lexus. Thanks for showing me real customer service Lexus!

I am an owner of Lexus RX 400h. The manufacturing year of my Lexus is to be seen in the attached figure: September 2007. It is extremely interesting that the curtain and side did not open airbags when my car crashed over. However, the commercial materials and specifications issued after September 2007 wrote about a protection system of 360, according to which curtain and side airbags open automatically in case of car crash over. After years of research it was confirmed and the representative of the manufacturer recognized, as well that no RX 350, 400h manufactured and approved in Europe contains such a system. This way Lexus Europe misled its customers in the issued commercial materials. Lexus Europe is silent disposing, no recall as it is hard to find a remedy for this problem. This is my first time leasing with Lexus. I have leased with Honda for 16 years, ever since I got my license at sixteen. I decided to switch to Lexus, but I must say I’m disappointed. I specifically asked the car saleswoman Danielle C at Tri County Lexus in Little Falls NJ if the LEXUS RX 350 FSPORT had panoramic roof and she said, “no they don’t come with that”. After making the deal I find out that they do. I basically have a Lexus with the same features as my 2018 Honda Accord, paying more than double the price. I’m very disappointed. I also wasn’t told that the 12inch screen was available on the Fsport as well. First and last time leasing with Lexus for sure. I could have leased a 2022 Acura MDX technology package with many more features and same price! Aside from the disappointment of service I encountered, Lexus is lacking on their technology features.

Bought a RX350 (2008) Certified Preowned Lexus in 2009 from PARK PLACE LEXUS OF PLANO, TX. In 2013, I noticed a crack in the dashboard by the driver’s side vent. Called PARK PLACE LEXUS OF PLANO, TX and was told cracks in the dashboard are not under warranty and it may have been caused by what I was using to clean the dashboard. After arguing with the service guy he went to the service manager and they agreed to repair it and they did.Now in 2018, I have two cracks in the dashboard by the passenger air vent. Researched on the internet to see if other Lexus owners had similar issues. To my surprise many owners have this issue and Lexus had offered to replace the entire dashboard if you have cracks or melting of the dashboard. The dealership told me I needed to call corporate to obtain approval for the dashboard replacement. I called corporate office and they did not show the cracked dashboard had been previously repaired and the offer to replace the defective dashboard had expired in October 2017. I asked if they could repair just the cracks like last time and was told that decision is up to the dealership.I called PARK PLACE LEXUS OF PLANO, TX to see if I could still get the dashboard replaced or repaired. Their system showed the crack in the dashboard was repaired in October 2009. The dealership did not correspond to corporate of my previous repair which I have documentation and receipt. After speaking to the service representative and service manager they will not replace the dashboard since it is up to corporate to approve and will not repair the cracks because one of the cracks is in front of the airbag.Bottom line to replace the defective dashboard I will have to pay approximately ~$2,000. I bought a Lexus based on the reputation of a quality vehicle. Had I known it was so cheap that the dashboard would need to be totally replaced in less than 10 years my decision would have been different. I understand vehicle parts wear out and need to be replaced but not a dashboard. This car is always garaged at home and at work and only has 76k miles. A dashboard should not have cracks on a vehicle this soon and definitely not on any quality luxury car. Based on this experience I would strongly recommend others to stay away of a LEXUS and PARK PLACE LEXUS OF PLANO.

About 2 years ago, the dash starting showing strange signs of razor-like slashes running throughout the dashboard. I had been going through many changes at that time, and did not bring it to the dealership when it first started occurring. Now, I have moved and the razor-like slashes have turned into the dash literally crumbling off!!!!! I brought my car to the dealership in Metairie, Louisiana and was told there that this was not considered a defect and it would cost me $2000 to repair. I called Lexus Corporate and spoke to a man named Ed on extension ** and he basically told me the same thing. Out of warranty, car too old, not a defect, sorry cant help you. I am so upset about this because I have always bragged about the fact that Lexus was the best car I have ever owned. I know people who have cars older than mine and dont have this problem. Has this happened to anyone out there? Were you able to get it fixed by Lexus? Help!!

I purchased a pre-owned 2007 Lexus GS 350 a month ago. I started smelling a musty odor and after investigating, I found that the carpet is soaked under the floor mats. I quickly called the Lexus dealership and was told to bring it in. The problem is the AC drain hose is leaking. The service department is stating that this is not covered under my warranty. I am angry because after research on the web, this has been a ongoing problem with this model Lexus and I would think the dealership would be more considerate of new customers who have owned the vehicle for less than 45 days.

In March 2016 I had a blowout on my way to Florida with my 2010 Lexus. A near tragedy since I had to pull off onto a very narrow shoulder of the road with semis passing at 70 miles per hours. Two months later my tire dealer told me two my tires Bridgestone Turanza with less than 20,000 were in need of replacement. When I purchased this certified pre-owned Lexus from Lexus of Englewood NJ, I was informed that all 5 tires were new. In 35 years I have not had tires that have worn out in less than 35-40,000 miles. As a result I contacted the manager of pre-owned sales at Lexus of Englewood and told him I did not believe the tires had been replaced at the time of my purchase of the vehicle. He promised to look into the matter and get back to me. That was in May 2016. I have heard nothing. I next wrote to Lexus Customer Service with the same complaint in June 2016 but have heard nothing from them. Finally, I wrote to Jeff Bracken, Group Vice President and General Manager of the Lexus Division, with the same complaint and requested the courtesy of a reply. That was in late June and I have received no response.

At the time Lexus only made three models. Would have loved to have taken home the top model but it was out of my price range. Ended up buying the cheapest model which was the 300 EX. Its a nice car and I enjoyed it a lot until I traded it in for a BMW M3. It had lots of room. I owned it when my second child was born and it had room for both child car seats and for grandma to sit in the back. The front had lots of leg room. It was very comfortable, powerful V6 engine, with a nice quiet ride. It was a nice two-toned color, white over silver and gold plated accents. Got a great deal from the salesman who had a side business of upgrading the chrome accents to gold. Would have cost about $1,000 from the dealer but I got it for half that price.

I bought a Certified 2004 RX330 from Lexus Clearwater. I bought the car in 06, the SUV had 22k miles, was soon told I needed new tires. Did research as why would I need new tires now, especially on a Certified car, with so little mileage and only two years old. The tires were switched out, they were Cooper tires which arent the tires from the Lexus manufacturer. When I asked Clearwater Lexus about this and told them someone from Tampa Lexus had talked with me about the issue, they said, Why would you listed to Tampa Lexus? They are worse than we are!! I spoke with the corporate office and best they would do is offer new tires at retail - still bogus. Now my dash is cracking and Lexus Tampa said $1900 to replace, and 10% off as I dont service my car there enough for a larger discount. Now the headlights are cloudy and there is a recall, but there are no parts for their own recall just an acknowledgement that there is an issue. I was duped by Lexus, they are horrible. Very sorry I ever bought a car from them. Dealerships should provide an actual printout on how they certify a car, if they had, the tires wouldnt have passed a certification test. Like a home inspection, I want to see levels and percentages of wear and tear and how they could ever pass worn tires as certified. Lexus shmexus. Poor quality, certified means nothing, horrible customer service.

Lexus has sedans to SUVs. It looks expensive but you can definitely feel the quality and difference when compared to the less expensive brands. It has customizable comfort and top safety. My suv is my mom car but I feel nice in it. I need the space and amenities of an suv because of my children but I am just as happy taking this car out solo. Lots of quality comes standard but additions are easily added at the dealership. My suv fits 7 very comfortably. I have 3 car seats in the back and space to move around and maneuver as needed. I can also easily load groceries and whatever else I need. I am very happy with my purchase and will buy a Lexus again.

My GPS system totally went out on me. I spoke with a co-worker of mine who owns a 2006, and the exact same thing happened to her. She told me to go on Consumer Reports and look up this is a well known issue and Lexus is doing nothing about it to fix the issue. I called Lexus to inquire about the issue. The woman over the phone told me out her mouth there have been some cars my brand with GPS issues, but my car is no longer covered under warranty and it could cost me up to $2000 to fix the issue. I bought this car brand new, and this is supposed to be the best of the best. I was told when I purchased the car Lexus honors their mistakes, but it doesnt seem like they are doing it now. This isnt fair to the customer at all. They charge over $5000 for the GPS and in a few years while you’re still paying for the car the GPS breaks down, and they wont cover the cost to fix it. I am very disappointed in Lexus. I thought they had a customer first approach. I am also letting headquarters know how disappointed I am.

BEWARE of SERIOUS safety concerns with South Bay Lexus on Crenshaw service dept. I paid $1700 for new rear brakes and a CV boot. Picked up my car, drove it 4 miles, and attempted to stop at the light before the entrance of the 405. My car would NOT STOP! I had NO BRAKES!! I quickly turned the car left and repeatedly pulled up on my emergency brake and was able to eventually bring my car to a stop. Thankfully, the light before the entrance of the 405 turned red otherwise, I would have entered the freeway with NO BRAKES!! Had to get the car towed back to South Bay Lexus on Crenshaw. They apologized profusely and explained the mechanic neglected to put two of the caliper bolts back! They were very sorry for putting me in a life threatening situation. I could have been killed and/or killed other people! Obviously, no one drove my car after it was repaired to make sure all was good to go. This is absolute negligence on the part of this dealership/service dept.

Needed a car that could fit myself and a family, as well as that familys belongings. Lexus was good enough for that. We can go on road trips no problem. The car was good for my usage since I drive kids around and needed a roomier car for store trips and baby seats. The car itself drives with decent mileage too. It isnt the best looker on the market but its decent enough that it wont get you strange looks or people calling you names at least. There were a few customization options when I bought it, such as extra cup holders and auto locking. It was before you could install built in GPSes or other fancy things.

My car has replaced fuel pump last summer. And its factory warranty ended on 12/16/2016. However, my car still had problems from engine since last summer. So I dropped my car at the dealership and got loaner car about 5 times between last summer and this January. They had never found what the problem is. Finally, my car stopped on 3/4/2017. My car is towed to the dealership. And I heard that my cars engine is broken and it needs to replace to the new engine. It is totally unfair to pay for replace the new engine. My previous car was Acura. The reason why I switched to Lexus is the Lexus engine is very strong and they always goes to million mileage. Now, I totally regret to switch to the Lexus.I heard that something was exploded inside of the engine. And something broke the engine and it popped out from the engine. The engine is half broken (on 62000 miles, but out of warranty). Do you believe this? NOT CRACKED. Dealership pushed me to pay $8000 to replace my engine. How many people can pay $8000 right away? I bought a 2014 Lexus 350. About a year after I had the car I noticed the leather on the driver seat was getting creases in it. I very seldom have passengers in my car so I only noticed it on my seat. Each time I took it in to be serviced, I pointed it out to the service tech and asked what could be causing it. This is my first luxury car and the first experience with leather upholstery. No one could give me an answer. At any rate it has gotten worse over the past year. I have written 2 letters to Lexus with no response. Finally, the last time I took the car in the service tech said the dealer could not do anything and gave me phone # of Lexus. I have called 3 times to explain the issue, was given a case number and was told a case manager would call me in 1-2 days to discuss. No call. After I called the 3rd time to say I still hadnt received a call from the CM the person I spoke with suggested I send the photos I took of the seats to Lexus along with my case number. Still no response except to say they received it. I spoke with a friend last night who has a 2016 Lexus with the same problem and he has had no luck at the dealer either. Has anyone else had this issue with the leather seats?? I keep a towel on my seat now because it looks so bad. I told Lexus I am very disappointed in their lack of response to this issue as I was always told what a GREAT car the LEXUS and that TOYOTA stands behind their product. Well as far as I am concerned they are way behind in their customer service. Shame on you! I have contacted my attorney to see what he suggests I do. All I WANT IS FOR THEM TO REPLACE THE SEAT.

I recently had the experience of being denied repairs of my Lexus (VIN 2T2B
I recently had the experience of being denied repairs of my Lexus (VIN 2T2BK1BA7AC015824). A known problem exists in the steering column of my particular model, a 2010-2011 Lexus RX350. So, this parts failing falls under the following: (1) a known problem by Lexus and (2) a very new car still under warranty. The only caveat to this situation is that I travel for work, and I spend some of my time in Minsk. I have a Lexus sedan here in the United States, and only just recently took the RX 350 to be my car in Minsk. There, I began to discover the steering noise issue. I understand that the standard procedure for Lexus would be to only cover warranty issues within the United States.I personally feel that this is a special case; I will have to have the vehicle repaired in Europe, so I am prepared to pay for the labor through a Lexus dealer, but I strongly feel that the $1700, plus part I had to order to replace an existing flaw in my Lexus, should not be paid by me. As mentioned, I purchased this Lexus in the United States, I still own another Lexus in the United States, and one day, I will return this Lexus to the United States. My request to have this part paid for has been denied. I find this very hard to believe. The trend with many large companies is a disregard towards customer service that will build brand loyalty. I did not think Lexus was one of these companies, and I am deeply disappointed. It has been my understanding that Lexus leads the industry in retaining the highest percentage of vehicle owners. Neal Oddes, director of product research at J.D. Power and Associates said that, By satisfying its customers on many different levels, Lexus consistently enjoys high-retention rates and “customer retention is extremely valuable in the auto industry because it costs manufacturers less to keep existing customers than to attract new ones, and strong retention fosters favorable word of mouth. Why now would Lexus want to risk its word of mouth reputation in my case? I have a friend who has been at war with GM over the poorest of customer relations efforts and vehicle issues; I personally found it comforting in owning a Lexus. I do not have to deal with such customer disregard, and would readily make this known. Now, I no longer have comfort in owning a Lexus. Where is the world class customer service that creates retention? Maybe you should all take a moment and read the following article on customer service. I understand that this issue is falling under what might be considered special circumstances; however, I had believed Lexus would treat me as a loyal customer, not as an invaluable statistic. This is all very unfortunate, and on principle alone, I am not going to stop pursuing a resolve to this situation. I know there has to be someone in the Lexus organization who cares enough to spend $1700 of Lexus money in order to preserve a reputation that has likely taken years and billions of dollars to build.A colleague of mine recently shared a negative experience he had with a large Canadian airline. He had purchased a ticket to return home last year for the Christmas holiday but was unable to do so because of medical reasons. It was his understanding that the value of the ticket would be honored for one year from the scheduled date of travel. However, the airlines policy was actually to credit the value of the ticket for one year from the purchase date. This information wasnt printed on his ticket, and when he contacted the airline, he spoke with four members of its customer service department, including a senior manager, and received four different explanations of the airlines policy and his possible remedies.During a time following the horrific events of September 2001, my colleague thought this airline, now more than ever (especially after requesting government relief due to lost revenue), would bend over backward to satisfy him, and keep him as a regular customer. Airlines were slashing fares as much as 50 percent to entice fearful passengers to once again take to the skies. He was utterly shocked and appalled. However, he experienced the lengths to which this airline went in the opposite direction. Each of the four representatives gave four greatly varied definitions of the airlines refund and rescheduling policy. Each apologized for his inconvenience yet repeatedly told him what they could not - and would not - do for him. In the short term, the immediate savings by the airline were $400, the value of the unused ticket. The net loss over the long term, however, will be much, much greater. Not only will he and his family never use this airline (they spend about $3,000 annually) they are so furious that theyve told many friends about this experience. Not surprisingly, everyone theyve told has been shocked and appalled, also, saying they, too, will never fly with this carrier in the future.Understanding that the customer is the source of a companys revenue, it logically follows that every customer must be made as happy as possible, especially so during an industry-wide crisis of historic magnitude. Seeing as its not the owner of a company that routinely interacts with customers, but rather the sales staff, operators, customer service representatives and et cetera have direct contact. It must be a clearly understood rule that the customer must always feel right. The customer has to be treated in a way that sets a company apart from competitors. If a company successfully merges this philosophy with a superior product or service, it can earn customer loyalty and in turn, become profitable. Case in point: Nordstrom. A Nordstrom customers experience provides a perfect counter to the aforementioned airlines woeful customer service practices. For years, the story has circulated about a man who had returned tires to a Nordstrom store, and it provides an excellent example of how to exercise a customer-first approach to business. The story is true. Nordstrom built a store in Alaska at a location that had previously included a tire store. A man, failing to realize the tire store no longer existed, brought car tires into Nordstrom, and asked for a refund. Despite the companys position as a clothier (seemingly everyone knows the only rubber Nordstroms sells is on the bottom of sneakers), the sales associate nonetheless issued some type of refund or store credit, thus satisfying the customer. When people talk about this story, many cant remember if it was a man or a woman, a young or old person, but they always remember that it was Nordstrom who put its customer first.Although this example is extreme, and I dont suggest that a company make a habit of issuing refunds, for merchandise it doesnt sell, the underlying principle stands: For long-term prosperity and patron loyalty, a customer must always feel right, even when shes wrong. Even if a company such as the airline in question doesnt want to adhere to this same level of customer service, or more likely, doesnt believe it can afford to, the only question I would ask its top brass is, Can you afford not to? Word of mouth is by far the single most important marketing vehicle a company can hope for. Think of what the word of the mouth may do for this airlines long-term outlook. Not only has the airline lost loyal customers and likely many more once this story spreads, but more importantly, the employees who initially offered the incorrect information to a loyal customer and then blamed the customer himself for acting on the information he received, are still employed. How much more inaccurate information these employees are going to disperse, and what will be the resulting net loss?Follow Nordstroms lead, not the woeful path cut by the airline. Before the next customer crisis arises at your company, I urge you to ask yourself the following questions, so you are prepared to handle the situation appropriately: How does your company resolve customer disputes, concerns, questions or problems? Do your people automatically go on the defensive, citing policies, procedures and counting warranty periods to the day? Is there a mission statement or customer policy in place that governs all aspects of customer service, including conflict resolution? You cant put the onus on your customers to get it right every time. Too many companies focus on the reasons why they cant help a customer, rather than offering solutions to help fix his problem. The reality is, problems will arise. The problems are not the challenge. The challenge is responding to these problems effectively; these responses help determine a companys ultimate success or failure.

I just leased my sixth Lexus and I regret it! I dont care how great it drives because the music sound system is the WORSE. The rear speaker has NO SOUND coming from it at all. When you drive the only speaker that sound comes from is the front speaker. God forbid you increase the volume, the sound blasts at you so loud that it is torture to drive in the car. There is nothing Lexus service can do. Its their new sound system. It is torture! Not only that, my business only uses Blackberry phones and the new 2019 Lexus only works with iPhones. So it is MANDATORY that you have an iPhone if you want to drive the luxurious 2019 Lexus without using your stereo system.

Lexus is generous enough to defer lease payments up to two months. This means of course that those payments will be due at the end of the lease. However if your lease ends 3 months from now that makes no sense. In this uncertain times where people are getting laid off or businesses have been closed it would be nice if Lexus would understand that. How hypocritical is it that they have a promo with no payments for 90 days on new lease or purchases only. So you have to commit to get in debt in order to get that benefit.

I have been going back and forth with Crown Lexus, Lexus corporate, and Lexus executive office for months now. Seems like all they were doing was handing me off wasting my time. My issue is my transmission in my 2007 IS 250 that started while under warranty and I took it to Crown Lexus multiple times. Each time I was either told it was an issue already identified and they would fix under a recall or they could not duplicate the problem and refused to fix it. Every attempt they made with a recall was not the issue. It was and has always been a faulty transmission and I have been saying. The recalls were only a cover up to buy time until the vehicle was out of warranty to avoid a costly repair under warranty. As soon as my vehicle fell out of warranty now they identify and admit that transmission is going out. My vehicle only has 125,000 miles. A Lexus has a reputation and is expected to last well over 200,000 miles. I have researched and found multiple IS 200 owners with the exact same problem. A Lexus tech himself said the transmission will fail early. LEXUS needs to do the right thing and fix these faulty transmissions. I am considering legal action if Lexus continues to ignore this issue. My main reason feeling something should be done is because I brought it to their attention while under warranty and it was never fixed.

My mother bought a 2008 Lexus RX 350. At 88k miles, she began experiencing issues with her car while driving and brought it to the dealership for an inspection. They told her that there were massive problems with her engine which would cost over $5k to fix. This car isnt even at 100k miles yet so it was incredible that there would be any engine problems. For what its worth, my mother is a very safe, responsible driver and she has never skipped any maintenance on her car. We asked what our options were and they told us that we were past the warranty, so our only option would be to pay the $5k out of pocket. Obviously, we were upset so we called the consumer hotline that they provided us to voice our concerns, and we spoke with a representative named Carlos. He admitted that there were known engine issues with the RX models and said that he would call us back with a solution.A few days later, he called us and said that he would cover only 50% of the parts. He would absolutely not budge even though we told him that Lexus should cover 100% of the parts and labor as this was a known issue. I feel that Lexus sold us a car with a faulty engine and is now refusing any responsibility. At this point, I am seriously considering suing the company and will never buy a Lexus again.

I purchased a 2014 Lexus IS 250 in February. Since buying the car I have noticed the gray spots popping up everywhere in the paint, so I took the car to Lexus of South Atlanta to have them look at it. They told me it was from bird poop, which I knew was not the case since my car stays clean. I had three other people look at the car after that to tell me it was not bird poop causing the paint to do that, that it was a defect with the paint they used to paint the car. Since the car is still under all warranties I call the Corporate office of Lexus and opened a case. Once I was contacted by the case worker I explained the issue to her and she then told me to take it to the closest Lexus dealer and have them do a work order and inspect the car she would then follow up with me. So I called the dealer and set up a time to bring it in. When I got to the dealer the service manager at Lexus of South Atlanta was so rude to me and told me he could not look at my car due to the rain which made no sense seeing how the car was in the shop not outside. The following day my case worker called and then told me I had to bring it back and try and have them look at it again so that being the 3rd time taking it to that dealership. They took pictures of my car and told me that they would be sent off to cooperate then they would let me know when I needed to bring my car in yet again for the 4th time to have a man from Corporate look at the car. The following week my case worker calls to tell me Lexus of South Atlanta had contacted her and said nothing was wrong with the car and they would not be fixing it. I asked her who she spoke with. It was the service manager there which he had no part in speaking to me or writing the work order to know what was going on with the car. She was going to close my case since he had called. I complained and she said we can go to the next step and have a man from Corporate look at it. Finally the man from Corporate was able to look at the car. When we first met and I was showing him the spots he says oh yeah something is going on here, then ask if we can have a body shop look at it since he was not aware that the whole car had spots. He thought it was just the door and a finder. So we took it to a body shop near the dealership which is one Lexus uses quite often. A few different men that work at the body shop look over the car and say they think its from a chemical and that it would be $10k to repaint. The man from Corporate then tells me if it was just the one panel and door he would fix it no problem but it being the whole car they dont feel that its a paint defect and that they wont fix it. The service manager was trying his hardest to talk us out of wanting the car fixed. Told me my rims would come back scratched, that the value of my car will drop so much that if I traded it in I wouldnt get anything for, but if I was to trade it in how it sits with spots all over Im sure I would get way less than what I would if the paint was fixed. I picked Lexus as a car because they are suppose to be nice cars that wont give you problems as long as you maintain them like you should and only owning my since February and seeing how I get treated at their dealerships makes me want to never own one again and to make sure everyone I know, knows how terrible their customer service is. Their cars are not cheap and there is no reason my car should have messed up paint. I truly think Lexus doesnt want to fix my car because of the price it will cost them. And dealing with their Corporate office is just as bad as dealing with Lexus of South Atlanta. If you miss the call and call back like the case workers ask you to do in the voice message they leave you, can never get in touch with them, and they wont call back for another day or two. I highly recommend if youre considering a Lexus car to look up reviews and do your research because my experience with Lexus in the short months of owning my car have been terrible!

My local Lexus of Kendall (FL) dealer nor Lexus corporate have resolved a problem with my 2013 ES 300h after many attempts. Lexus of Kendall dealer said if I maintain my car with them they will fight for me should there be any problem with the manufacturer in the future, so I did. Well, I reported a defect in the backseat leather shortly after my 25k maintenance appointment November 2016 while my car was under warranty. The backseat perforated leather dried and shrunk causing tension on the rest of the seat. It feels very rough and hard to the touch. The manager at the dealer took photographs, and said he will contact the manufacturer. After several months of leaving messages with Lexus of Kendall operator and voicemails I was told the manager no longer works there, and another manager (Bernardo) took over his work. I came in person to meet with new manager March 2017, by which point the problem area became larger, and same problem started to happen on the other side. He took more photos, said its not a Lexus defect because on one side it is perfect circle. I contacted corporate, submitted photos, and they asked Bernardo to weigh in. He said I caused the damage but could not explain how, and if there was a defect in the leather he would not be able to tell unless the leather was taken off and he can examine the back side of it. Corporate said I will need an expert in leather to run tests and determine the cause. I have never heard of such a response for warranty coverage. They denied to fix my car while under the warranty. I contacted the 3rd party dispute resolution address, provided by Lexus, several times with no reply.I purchased the car used with 6k miles in 2013 in perfect condition. Since then I rarely used or had passengers in the backseat. When I did have passengers the trips were short, just a few blocks in the city, and my passengers are slim. My car is stored under a carport, in a garage when I am at work, and my windows are tinted so the inside temperature does not get hot often. I have had others cars such as Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Honda over 100k miles and much older that did not have such quality issues even with daily use. My Lexus has premium leather with Luxury package, it should withstand at minimum light use. The problem from initial report to current has grown in size, and continues to grow. Terrible dealer customer service and misinformation, terrible experience with corporate. First and last Lexus. Photos from March 2017 and Feb 2019 are attached.

Lexus offers a wide range of cars. These include sedans, SUVs, and sports cars. There are sub categories within each type of vehicle that generally relate to the size of the car - for example in the SUV category the smallest is the NX, the middle is RX and the largest is GX. Each of these categories also may have sub categories that usually relate to trim level. The Lexus car brand has always stood for a high quality luxury vehicle. Typically each model will include almost all of the features that one would think are associated with a luxury car within the standard price. There are additional packages of specialized features that are grouped logically at more cost - for example a cold weather package would include heated seats, 4 wheel drive, etc. The Lexus RX is a 5 passenger vehicle - two bucket seats in the front and a bench seat with seating for three in the back. There is no third row in this car. Each model has upgrade options that are presented as packages so that you can personalize the options to your needs to a degree. You are forced to go with a package even if you do not want or need everything in that package. That is a drawback to me.

My car holds 4 people so thats enough for any of my friends or family. Its the perfect amount for any type of travel to wherever we wanna go. This car gets me happy and is ready to drive whenever and wherever. Its so beautiful and the upgrades help it to its fullest. If she was beautiful before then shes gorgeous now. If I was a car, I would date my car. That pretty much describes how beautiful she is. Im really enthusiastic about my car and I get happy with the varied models. I would buy 50 of them.

Different varieties of models and features that are actually nice and I would recommended that. Each model is unique in its own, but I prefer Lexus Los cause it offers hybrid and gasoline vehicles and they give you the ability to choose which one that you want. Lexus has many upgrades and personalization options that can be added onto the vehicle and that isnt added to the final bill of sale, which is excellent to me and I actually love that about them. Lexus is such a luxury vehicle and so affordable that anyone can afford them.

I have the Lexus ES 350 2011 model. My FOB only opens the front door - drivers side only. The passenger side and the rear back doors do not open. When I open manually the other 3 doors (passenger and rear back doors) and I use the FOB, it locks but will not unlock. Is this a programming problem? My Lexus technician says that I should replace all three locks at a cost of $1,500.00. Please advise.

I have bought my car LX 570 in 2010. Im a loyal Toyota customer. My car originated from Saudi Arabia and I live in Qatar. Several problems happened to the car. There was a gear problem, then the rear AC and then the front AC got damaged. All of this happened and I had to repair it under my cost. This is a top of the line car. International warranty should be honored no matter where I go. Saudi and Qatar are neighboring countries, so spec are similar.

There are many Lexus fun luxury models. I looked at Extreme Luxury XJ3, XJ1 -- all good models for me, priced different. Very hard to choose the one I wanted and took three months to pick. Waited to test drive till I was sure. Went online to check different models colors, prices to be sure. Had many things I wanted -- leather seats, CD player, GPS tracking, GPS navigation, and any add-on I could think of for me, heated seats, etc. Love two colors, white and black, and went with black. Overall love the two-door model. Just wanted four people capacity. Thats all I would need being childless. Four doors and more room wasnt needed for me. Like the more compact cars anyway. Easier to drive and love it better. Great color and model, and its the best for me.

Dash pad, door panel and (air bag front passenger) must be replace. Since I bought my 2008 IS 250 I notice that the black door panel pad turning soft and sticky issue. The black part of the inner door panels acts like it is sweating something and gets hazy and wet looking. When my nail hits it, it leaves a deep mark. Unbelievably bad issue with an otherwise good car. I would appreciate any help or constructive comments how this can be replace. Lexus have a long waiting list. Last year around April I was #696 and a month ago I was #466. What I see is going to be a few years for this parts be replace it. Which made me think about not to buy another Lexus. Feel disappointed.

I own a Lexus IS 250 SE manual. What happened is that my touchscreen GPS has a factory fault and stopped working. As now I am out of my warranties, Lexus told me that I have to pay for it to be replaced and it will cost me R 25,000.00. After telling them that it is a factory problem, they said to me that they can only help me pay 50% of it and they will come out with the other 50% for it to be repair. I think that it is unfair for the customer when Lexus knows that their car has a factory defect and still made the customers liable of paying that. Can I have any help on this issue, please?

The Lexus ES350 was top rated for safety and was a Best Buy for 2017. Comfortable and easy to drive, with enough power for emergency situations. I like the rearview camera and lane departure warning systems. The lane departure warning is very helpful, as well as the backup camera. Controls are easy to reach on the dashboard. But I do not like the driver side seat as compared to my BMW seats as it does not hold you in the seat enough. I also dislike the seat headrest as it is too far forward.

I have been a loyal customer of Lexus for over 25 years and, generally, very happy with the cars; however, most of them I traded/sold before they were 5 years old. My current car is 2010 Lexus 450H that has less than 75,000 miles and was purchased less than 6 years ago. As usual, I am up-to-date with the maintenance schedule on the car and the maintenance is always performed at the service department of the dealership. A few days back, while driving, I noticed the hazard sign turned suddenly on and check hybrid system was flashing. Among the things that I noticed were the failure of cars cruise control and the SOS light turning red.I immediately took the car to the dealership service department, who diagnosed it as the failure of the airbag ECU. The replacement cost me $995.42. My service consultant at the dealership is a very nice gentleman, who said that there was no specific maintenance for the unit. That suggested to me that the unit on the car was defective and Lexus should be replacing it free of charge, but they did not. I have heard that computer malfunctions are not uncommon on the cars made by Toyota Motors. I am so disillusioned with Lexus that I have decided to take my business elsewhere and never buy another Lexus and, hopefully, convince my friends to do the same.

Exploding glass moonroofs. If you are investigating the purchase of a Lexus with a glass moonroof...beware. They have a tendency to explode for no reason. I was on a desert highway with no vehicles in front of me and all of a sudden my sunroof/moonroof exploded. It sounded like a gun going off over my head and it nearly caused me to wreck it had shocked me so much. I did a little research and apparently this issue is an ongoing one with many other drivers reporting the exact circumstance. The Lexus corporate folks are very, very rude about this and will not help you or offer to pay for what is obviously a manufacturer defect.Very sad to see they will not stand by their product. I will be seeking legal remedy but in the meanwhile, if you must buy a Lexus, stay away from the cars with the glass moonroofs. You could be driving and not only have a sudden shock that can scare the life out of you but if your interior moonroof shade is also open at the same time, you could get badly injured by the falling broken glass shards. Very dangerous.

I recently emailed Lexus Brand Experience about the horrible service I have received with my new Lexus ES350 FSport. This was on 12/29 and I have yet to hear back. Just another testament to why I will never buy a Lexus again. It all started from the salesperson telling us that we had 2 free oil changes that come to find out is not true. Then after bringing my car home, noticing it has a very small chip on the gas cap & the salesperson telling us Oh well, you took it home, nothing we can do. Each time Ive taken my car in for service it has not gone smoothly. The 2nd time taking it in they rotated my tires & since then my car has not driven the same. Took it in for the 3rd time and when I bring this up, the service writer proceeds to tell me that they could balance them for $90 & had I brought it in immediately after that they would have fixed it. Im trading in my car and will never recommend Lexus to anyone!

My engine was strangely replaced by Lexus for an unknown reason. When I called and asked why they would not give me an answer, its only warranty from nine years to the day the car was made. When I brought the car broke down from a misfire. They told me it was carbon buildup on the engine. Three years after, I had a letter in the mail stating if my car misfired they would replace the engine up to nine years from the day the car was made by the factory so I got a new engine. I called Lexus, the corporation and they would not tell me why these cars needed a new engine. The engine warranty on it was only one year on the new engine...I would have like to known why such a major engine problem and the car was never recalled. Also another problem was the power steering locked up while driving. If I had been on a highway doing 70 that would have been quite scary I would think. Sounds like another recall should have been made there. I have read many complaints for that problem.... And lastly my melting door panels, what a mess! Started pretty much early on looks terrible ... I had dashboard fixed cause Lexus ruined it when installing a new radio. Good thing cause if it were like the door panels it would be a disaster.

I had a Lexus ES300, drives awesome, good on gas. Handles with extreme precision on freeways at high speeds and gas is reasonable. Looks beautiful and classy. Unfortunately had an auto accident. Hit by a truck. Would you believe after that the truck needed roadside assistance flatbed to tow the truck. My Lexus started right up and drove away with minor dents. The car was built durable and reliable. I highly recommend Lexus to any who want excellence as also quality. Loved owning this vehicle. Wood grain is an option as well as extra modified stereo system high end quality, leather heated seats, extended warranties depends on how much youre willing to spend. Has a big part to do with all you want in a fancy luxury automobile. Also, I have had up to seven passengers at one time. I also had a speaker system in the trunk and back seat. So room is of no concern when speaking about the LEXUS ES300. Again a vehicle that is suitable for all dynamics of all types of encounters it may come across. Simply amazing and classy. Find yourself driving away in your new Lexus to understand how ones perspective will have you convinced as I have been. I see it as you only live once so what I can tell you if youre a hard worker and help other people then you most certainly deserve it. Put it like this, treat yourself dont cheat yourself.
