Incredibly my Lexus GX 470 has the paint peeling off the roof (Already peeled off the hood, which they agreed to fix) and now Lexus Corporate refuses to pay to have the roof repainted. This is not a CHEAP VEHICLE and one that you would expect this from. I am driving around with grey headliner exposed in 2 big areas of the roof and top of windshield- what an advertisement for Lexus to show everyone how bad Lexus Vehicle paint jobs are. So incredibly dissatisfied with Lexus Corporate refusing to make good on a problem that never should happen with a SUV they make. Will NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER LEXUS!!!

I love Lexus line of models, mainly the cars but would really like to see a sportier van or SUV option for us moms on the go, maybe have some options for electronic device storage for all the passengers. I would love to see a wine bottle storage compartment added in as an option when us adults want to go on a night camping trip too. Keep the luxury, keep the excellent quality but amp up the capacity and horsepower. The sleek lines on the exterior set it apart, but what I love most is how the inside fits so well. The features are very high end and the designers and developers obviously put a lot of work into how convenient everything would be to reach. The auto locking of the doors that can be customized by the driver is an amazing feature too, it keeps my children from trying to unlock or open the doors. I can set how long the interior lights stay on, change my exterior signal flash, the brightness of my dash lights, among many other amazing features. The passenger capacity is huge, luxurious and keeps the kids from annoying each other.

I trust Lexus brand in safety above anyone else. Their car designs are beautiful, classy and also comfortable. They have SUVs that offer 3 rows, midsize SUV for smaller families, and cars, all filled with luxury and greatness. I love my backup camera and my warning sensor in case Im close to hitting something. As far as I know they offer any upgrade you would want. You can literally customize anything. You can pick the color of seating, flooring. You can even customize driver preference for the drivers side car which has 2 buttons that you can program for 2 drivers. So, its extra convenient. Also, they have sunroof option and they have a ton of beautiful colors to choose from. Carpets can be customized like in SUVs where you can customize between bench or captain seats. DVD installation available as well. We bought the es350 and have since had 2 kids. For five years, it has fit us well and accommodated my family comfortably, until the 2nd child. Since we grew, we are now looking for a bigger Lexus.

After purchasing two Lexus’, I thought I would stick with the brand for a very long time. This will probably not be the case. After having a series of very negative experiences with my 17 RC350, I will most likely never buy another Lexus. A little while after purchasing the RC it started developing a tapping sound. This noise continued to get louder and I was able to hear it from inside the cabin of the vehicle. I was able to locate the noise coming from the mechanical fuel pump. I took it in to my local dealer for repair. They told me they were unable to duplicate the concern and the assistant service manager displayed no customer service skills whatsoever in any attempt to help me with my issue.I contacted the Service manager the next business day and was able to come in and work with him and the diagnostic tech to duplicate this noise. We spent an hour test driving and listening to another RC they had on the lot. I was told to make another appointment and they would take another look at it. While it was in this time, the dealer involved the regional field specialist and dug deeper. I was ultimately told that even though they were able to duplicate this concern, it was normal operation.I made a complaint with Lexus customer care and this complaint was escalated twice. Two of the three people I spoke to at Lexus were more interested in talking than actually listening to my concern and again showing any kind of customer service. This includes the last individual who was the highest executive level I could escalate this. They made it very apparent that they were not interested in assisting a repeat customer with a valid concern. They made it very clear that losing any further business was less important than repairing my fuel pump.Lexus advertises their luxury vehicles to be the quietest on the road, but when you bring them a valid noise complaint they don’t want to honor the bumper to bumper factory warranty. This is the opposite of what I expect when I invest in a luxury car company most of all Lexus. I did quite a bit of my own independent research and determined that fuel pumps are a bit of a sore spot with Lexus and a bit of an Achilles heel.My vehicle shares the same fuel pump as the IS and the GS. I was given a 2019 GS as a loaner vehicle and the fuel pump was at least 80% quieter. I was also able to determine that the fuel pump for all these cars has 4 successive part numbers. Lexus has obviously redesigned this part several times for important reasons. I am left to wonder if my generation was updated due to excessive noise. Ultimately the unwillingness of Lexus to take responsibility for their product and their customer service leaves me no other choice but to leave record of this and let others know what I have experienced.

The issue is that I was told that the $1,000.00 for es350 2012 incentive ended on 12/22/2011. After leaving Hoffman Lexus, 750 Connecticut Blvd, East Hartford CT on 12/23/2011 with a signed lease, I searched google for Lexus incentives. It is noted on several web sites that all Lexus dealers are giving $1,000.00 until 1/2/2012. Other sites indicate this $1,000.00 incentive is good to 1/3/13. I emailed Al ** and visited him today after no response from email. He and his manager stated that I had not seen it first; then it did not apply to all Lexus dealers. Please clarify for future reference. I have been a Lexus customer since the late 90s and would like to remain with the Lexus family.

I felt like I was taken advantage of the second I drove off the lot. My negative review is based on visiting Longo Lexus May 2014, after work on a weeknight, to look at the new IS250. I went in to see if I would be able to finance the car, how much I could get for my Lexus ES 350 trade-in, and how much the monthly payment would be, and my goal was to receive a lower monthly car payment. I wouldve never went in the evening if I knew I wouldnt be given an honest/fair contract due to a rushed salesman.I was referred to the lease fleet manager Sergio ** (who was interested in me leasing not buying) and he was very nice and helpful, or so I thought. While we were working on making sure my new payment was lower than my previous payment, Sergio started changing numbers that I was not aware of until two years later when I was ready to turn in my lease. My issues with my first leasing experience. While speaking with Sergio I asked for a two year lease; he wrote the contract for 27 months. I requested and paid upfront for any overage miles based on a two year lease; not a 27 month lease, so now I am way over my estimated mileage. I never agreed on a residual value for the car with Sergio. There was very poor communication on what was being discussed versus what was being written on the contract. Unfortunately timing, feeling rushed by a salesman wanting to head home (I was taking awhile to make a decision), and having no previous knowledge of how to lease a car, I asked my questions and trusted Sergios answers and signed the contract. Assuming everything we discussed was reflected on the contract. Two years later April 2016, I knew my lease was coming to an end so I read up on returning a leased car. And started shopping for a new car. I went into Longo Lexus to look at cars and discuss my lease end options only to be told I have four months left on my lease. I said this has to be wrong because I signed a two year lease and made sure to buy enough mileage for two years. The salesman at Lexus said no its 27 months. I asked him to request for a manager to call me, and no one called. Now the lease is costing an additional $1600 in unplanned monthly payments.Around that time I was being contacted/harassed by 3 separate salespeople, calling and emailing me about my end lease options. Each one I spoke with, I explained what happened to me, I asked what they could do for me, and what I should do to correct the issue, and if they could escalate this issue to management, and make sure someone contacts me. They all claimed they would try, but I never received any contact from Longo regarding what they are going to do to help me with my lease contract. No one appears to want to help me, I would love to consider an option of returning it and paying the lease end fee and 10 cents a mile (which is what I paid upfront). I would even consider a buy option if I was given a fair residual price.I know I should not be responsible for paying 25 cents a mile, just because a salesman wanted to give the illusion of creating a great deal/price. I think it is unfortunate that salesmen and managers do not share with consumers how the leasing process works, and all the fees associated with leasing, especially when theyre talking them out of buying a car. They do not talk about how much of a pain it is to give the car back/purchase the vehicle/lease a new car. A salesman asks for trust and they want enough information to help you. The consumer gives the salesman too much information, and then the salesman uses it against them. Instead of being helpful, theyre friendly so you feel like youve been given a good deal, but they of course make sure they receive the better deal.In the past few months, I have read a lot about the leasing process, and Ive asked better questions, and I understand what was done, and where everything went wrong. I wouldve liked Sergio to be upfront about what he was doing to get the cost down, versus doing it and thinking Id be ok with it, just to receive a minuscule lower monthly payment. If he wouldve been honest with me, I wouldve known I was given more months in my lease and I wouldve purchased more miles upfront, or I wouldve walked. Also if I knew the buy out option was depending on how much the residual value of the car was, I wouldve tried to negotiate a much better price, and if the numbers didnt work, I wouldve said never mind, and left. Also, if they wouldve said to give the car back it would cost $400+, I wouldve also walked. But of course Sergio knew that, and made sure not to miss out on getting a car off the lot, and made sure his time wasnt wasted, he appeased me, adjusted some numbers like magic, and the rest is history/an awful nightmare. I shouldve never been honest with him about what my goal was, because then I wouldve been given an honest price, and I wouldve left, because I know my finances and what I can and cannot afford.Ive been stressed out for months, trying to figure out how to pay for all of these additional screw the consumer charges, while trying to come up with more money for a down payment for a new car, so I can get to and from work. No one seems to care, they just want to screw me more, by talking buy-out, or new lease options. No one has yet to reach out to me to address my situation, as if what happened to me is just normal sales practice for all your leases. This makes me very sad, because I thought I liked Longo Lexus, and Lexus in general. I had such a great experience with my ES 350, I thought I would try out a new body style. Worst mistake I couldve made. Instead of this being a great positive, referral experience, its a stressed out, depressing, seek a therapist, experience. If someone, who is willing and able to assist me, could finally reach out to me, and discuss what I can do, I would greatly appreciate it.

Very plain and same year after year. Also they all look alike but what concerned me is the cars looked highly unsafe so I wouldnt buy another one. Too expensive to upgrade as if it was a Cadillac which it wasnt. Also didnt have many cool upgrades or up to date upgrades. Has an ok amount of room but could use more leg room and comfortable seats. Theyre very hard and lumpy and can never go to sleep in them. Didnt see many brands or choices with them is why I was highly dissatisfied. Would not recommend them to anyone in the future or first time car buyers as well!

I purchased brand new RX 350 in April 2012. I thought its time for a new car and I deserved a nice car for working so hard. Ive driven my 02 Civic ever since and had no problems. I noticed my rear driver side mirror looked melted and side panel/spoiler(back wing) had rippled lines. Dealer Modesto and Lexus Corp both deny its under warranty due to possible low effiency windows reflections to my car. Which I baloney. So you are telling me the quality of your car is crap and cannot handle sun/heat? I went to Lexus in another city and the manager said he would replace it under warranty but due to Lexus Corp denying my case he could not order the parts for me. So how can Lexus Corp not help me when another dealership can? If anyone had any similar issues, please let me know/suggestions/opinions on this. Would greatly appreciated. I feel that this is brand new car and should not have any paint/body issues. So paying more doesnt always mean you get good quality or service.

I have a 2007 Lexus IS 350, purchased it from a local dealer in May 2010, with 43567 miles on it and still under factory warranty and bought an extended 4-year warranty from local dealer. In the end of April 2011, with about 57800 miles, I did an oil change (4th one) with an STP, after market filter from Auto Zone.In May 2011, I received a letter about the recall problems, and weeks later, I brought the car to the local Lexus dealer (Inskip of Warwick) and they replaced the valve springs, fuel pressure pump and gas pedal. About 2 weeks later, my motor was making this ticking noise from my engine. I drove the car for about 50 miles and the noise went away. In October 2011, 5000 miles later, the noise came back but louder and I called them back and brought the car back in to be checked. The next day, I received a call that the engine was knocking and spun a bearing and its not covered through them or Lexus, because they did an oil change and they stated whoever did the oil change last, put the wrong oil filter (Auto Zone only makes one filter for this model) in it causing the engine problem.I have done about two dozen of oil changes in my life and never had this problem. I called the Lexus main headquarters in CA and 3 weeks later, they told me that it was my fault and they were not paying for anything. I requested to see the oil filter that was in my car when they did this oil change and was given a different kind of filter that was dirty and very old-looking. I told them this is not the filter that I put in because it was a different color (white) and was bigger, mine was yellow and smaller. They did not want to hear it. So now I have to pay my mechanic to tear down the engine to see if I need a new one.

Im satisfied because it looks great to me with painted red and with the map and controls, with a safety system for getting in and out of a parking spot. There is enough capacity to seat 5 people so Im happy with that and also has an opening in the middle back seat to store something.

I have a Lexus GS 300 2006 with less than 100k miles. I took my car to Westminster Lexus about 6 months ago because of stalling and poor acceleration. The service dept stated that they would put my car on a machine to see what was wrong with it. They called me back and said the machine didnt indicate any problems. But they changed a few filters and said that should correct the problem. Needless to say, that did not correct the problem and the car is still doing the same thing. When I took the car in, they charged me $75 to run the test plus the cost of the filters. Now, I called them back and told them that I am having the same problem and I need to bring it back and wanted to know if I would be charged again. The gentlemen on the phone said I would be charged again and there was nothing they could do about it at all. So now, I need to take the car back, pay again and there is no guarantee they are going to fix it. I’m very angry about this.

I have this beautiful Lexus LS460 that looks great on the outside and always kept in the garage. However, when you open the door and see that the door panels and the dashboard have a gray looking film on them and are sticky to the touch it spoils the whole idea of LUXURY AND LEXUS being used in the same sentence. I called the 1 800 Lexus number and they told me there was a recall for this problem but it expired last year in 2017 and that they sent out recall notices. I have lived in the same house for 15 years (longer than I have had the CAR) and I have never received a recall notice on my vehicle. I bought this car certified and have babied it. To make an engine that is having this problems at 114k shows it is a horrible car. Repairs would cost over 8k. Never buy a Lexus. Years later, the Dashboard and the door panels started getting sticky and anytime you touched them they got black stuff on your finger and would scratch the panels. The dash is so shiny that when you drive in the day you cant even see out the window because of the glare. Now the navigation system doesnt work and it operates the ac, radio, navigation and everything else about the car. A little over a year ago we purchased a 1995 Lexus RX330. We purchased the vehicle as our first luxury vehicle with the hopes that the money would be well spent on luxury and quality of the vehicle. But after having the vehicle for almost 1 year we noticed that the dash started cracking along the front edge and then after picking my wife up from work one day a large chunk of the dash right above the radio broke off and fell to the floor. We immediately called Lexus and asked about having the dash repaired they informed us that there was a recall on the dash and to call Lexus about having the dash repaired. We called Lexus and notified them of the cracked Dash and they informed us that there is indeed a recall for the cracked Dash but they told us the date for the recall expired the day before we called. But that they would look into it and see if there was something they could do.We took the time to take the vehicle to the local Lexus dealer to have pictures taken. Have it inspected and sent to Lexus so that they can review it only for them to call us and tell us they were denying the repairs on the vehicle. So now we are stuck with a vehicle in which the resale value has plummeted due to the crack Dash. Im very disappointed with Lexus that they do not stand behind their vehicle or even offered to pay a portion of the dash to be repaired. If this is how Lexus treats their customers I no longer want this vehicle and will be trading it in as soon as possible. I have been a loyal customer of Lexus for over 25 years and, generally, very happy with the cars; however, most of them I traded/sold before they were 5 years old. My current car is 2010 Lexus 450H that has less than 75,000 miles and was purchased less than 6 years ago. As usual, I am up-to-date with the maintenance schedule on the car and the maintenance is always performed at the service department of the dealership. A few days back, while driving, I noticed the hazard sign turned suddenly on and check hybrid system was flashing. Among the things that I noticed were the failure of cars cruise control and the SOS light turning red.I immediately took the car to the dealership service department, who diagnosed it as the failure of the airbag ECU. The replacement cost me $995.42. My service consultant at the dealership is a very nice gentleman, who said that there was no specific maintenance for the unit. That suggested to me that the unit on the car was defective and Lexus should be replacing it free of charge, but they did not. I have heard that computer malfunctions are not uncommon on the cars made by Toyota Motors. I am so disillusioned with Lexus that I have decided to take my business elsewhere and never buy another Lexus and, hopefully, convince my friends to do the same.

From what I gather, Lexus makes great quality luxury vehicles and you cant go wrong with a single model made by the brand. Its very comfortable, which makes long trips so much easier on my back! It comes with lots of unique features & models to choose from when adjusting temperature, seating position & even a variety of lighting within the car. But the most used extra feature would be the seat warmers for sure. The care and maintenance bought in advance when purchasing your vehicle is the smartest way to handle yearly cost. Their seats are extremely roomy and comfortable. The backseat comes with a fold down armrest & cup holder for additional backseat passengers. Driver isnt the only one with a seat warmer. The front passenger also has warming setting. Both seats have their own dial so temperatures can vary per seat.

My vehicle, and doing research there are numerous other Lexus models and years all experiencing oil loss from the timing chain cover gasket causing oil loss that will affect the engine and safety. Lexus has not provided a recall on this known issue. They request $3500 to fix the leak with a new gasket. This has the potential to eventually lock up the engine if enough oil leaks out.

For two generations, our family has been very loyal by purchasing Toyota cars to drive. For the last 40 years, our family has purchased and driven at least 25 Toyota cars. But we were disappointed with our brand new 2007 Lexus ES350. On December 27th, 2012, I read the article on Yahoo news about the Toyota Motors agreement for settlement of Unintended Acceleration. Well, I owned this 2007 Lexus ES350 and experienced that sudden acceleration problem when the car was set on cruise control driving on the freeway. Therefore, I submitted a written letter by email to Toyota Motors explaining my findings. The reasons for selling this car are because (1) I never heard any reply back from Toyota Motors after submitting a letter to customer service. (2) my wife and family members in Asia was afraid of us driving it in the United States with an accident. Furthermore, they live very far away to come to our immediate attention if we were involved in an accident. (3) Lastly, there were sad news happening here and there because of this sudden acceleration issue. Finally, I sold the car to CarMax dealership in Monrovia, California in March of 2011 with less than 7,000 miles on the odometer. At first, I even went to Longo Lexus/ Toyota (which is the largest Toyota dealership in the United States) to sell the car back, but they explained that there is no recall on my car. The Longo Lexus service foreman even went on a test drive with me in my car and on the street. Also, Longo Lexus/ Toyota refused to give me a reasonable offer to buy my car back. I paid $40,000 brand new and sold the car at a big loss for only $24,000 to CarMax with less than 7,000 miles on the odometer because we were afraid to drive the car.Continuously, our friends and family comfort me that life is more valuable than losing money on a known trouble car. How come Toyota never bothered to help when we have an issue? What happened to good old Toyota reputation? Kindly help me in this matter!

When you mention the name Lexus you typically think quality. After all, this is not an inexpensive car! Well, the dashboards in several of their models crack (sometimes, all the way across). Their answers: your car has been left out in the sun too often for too long. Well, I would imagine that most people who own Lexus typically keep them garaged. So, why is it that other brand cars (years old, and left out in the sun) do not crack?? The other issue on some of the newer and more expensive models is that the panels (which are made of a synthetic, plastic-like material) get very sticky to the touch. Lexus answer: they were not made for our hot and humid weather that we have here in the South. Youd think they dont have engineers that test their products?? Or, do they just sell their product in cooler climates?

I leased a new 2014 Lexus IS 250 in July of this year. On December 2, I was driving in a Walgreens parking lot at less than 5 mph, when I turned the wheel to enter a parking space. The car accelerated, the brake didnt work and the car jumped into a planted median full of bushes, trees, and narrowly missed a phone pole by less than 1/2 foot. Only the mud in the median stopped the car. Naturally, I called Lexus and a tow truck was sent. Since that time, the Lexus dealership, JM Lexus, has had that car, inspecting it until December 10, when they called stating that there is nothing wrong with the car and that I should come and pick it up. Absolutely no information was given to me about test results, incorrect information was given to me about anticipated contact dates by Lexus corporate, and even management at the dealership appears to want to avoid any further discussions. In my conversations with Lexus corporate, they have provided minimal information and said the issue has been turned over to legal. In the meantime, I am driving a car that I am petrified to drive. It appears that it will take a product liability lawyer to intervene on my behalf.

We currently have a Lexus RX350 F-Sport and just had to use roadside assistance yesterday. Not only did my husbands vehicle just die and leaving him stranded on the side of the road, but when the roadside assistance came to help. They ended up towing his vehicle to a dealership and the closest one to us is 2 hours away. So it is not fixed and we are having issue with them getting it back to us. Mind you we have no loaner car or anything, so how is he suppose to get his car that is 2 hours away?? We called Lexus customer service multiple times today and can’t get anywhere. They should have told us if it was towed to the dealership that they wouldn’t bring it back, you would think after you pay all this money on a new vehicle that we have had for 1 year and is under warranty that there would be something in place for this situation instead everyone is clueless.I have a Cadillac and was looking to get a new car next month and thought about getting a Lexus, but let me tell you I will hands down stay with Cadillac just because of the outstanding customer service I get. I tried telling my husband to go with Cadillac, but he thought surely Lexus IS suppose to be a luxury vehicle so will have their crap together and he was wrong. We are turning this car in as soon as we can and going with a car company that cares about their customers!

This is my 2nd Lexus: my first one, ES 330 was a great car from mechanical to cosmetics! This 2nd, ES 350 is the poorest quality you can get! I was told by a service manager in N Miami, that the reason the interior materials (dash board, seats cover, cosmetically wood design, that all are falling apart), are made to disintegrate after a while! No kidding!!!? They actually do, I cannot even clean the interior because the board is jelly like, the seats covers are all broken after 2-3 years and the color will come off when you clean them, the wood design is flying up peeling as well everywhere, at 72 000 miles I had to replace the front direction and before, the steering wheel fell! And you would believe that for over $42000, you will buy a nice quality car! No, not anymore! I was back in forth with Lexus via emails, I went to the dealer to show what is happening to the car, they said that I have to pay if I don’t like the way it looks! I called to have at least the dash board replace since is melting, but two customer service from Lexus Corporate said that the offer expired on March 31 this year and they won’t extend it, although they never told me about it when I went to the dealer or on our exchanged emails! Think twice if you planning to get a Lexus at this time: it is not the same quality or customer service as they started! A shame!

I purchased a pre-owned 2007 Lexus GS 350 a month ago. I started smelling a musty odor and after investigating, I found that the carpet is soaked under the floor mats. I quickly called the Lexus dealership and was told to bring it in. The problem is the AC drain hose is leaking. The service department is stating that this is not covered under my warranty. I own a 2009 Lexus RX350 with a cracked dashboard. Lexus sent a letter that extended the warranty on the vehicle for 10 years however the crack occurred shortly after that time (within a few months). I spoke to the corporate office and they indicated that since we didnt bring the vehicle into the Lexus dealership for service there was no ability to honor the warranty extension. Clearly their dashboards were defective and the cracks in my case happened after the 10 years were up (which is logical as the dashboard ages). I wasnt expecting Lexus to be strong armed and quibble over a few months in the interest of good customer service. No help from the Lexus corporate office. Im looking at buying a new car and will be bringing my business elsewhere, i.e. Audi / Infinity.

I am not employed by Lexus or trying to help them in any way. I am a business owner that has been in the market for a luxury car. I love this website and feel it has prevented me from making a huge financial mistake! I have always wanted an Audi and was close to purchasing their flagship A8. After reading the nightmares of Audi ownership, I started investigating Mercedes and BMW on Consumer Affairs. To make this short, the complaints on Lexus (other than an apparent common problem with their dash cracking) are NOTHING compared to the three German manufacturers! Im seeing complaints on Lexus for using a quart of oil at 120k miles? Transmission complains at 60k? Just saying, read the problems other luxury owners are having, you will feel much better! I still dont know what I will end up dropping $70-$90k on, Lexus seems kind of boring to me, but based on the complaints I am reading about them, I feel it would be a much more reliable option than most..

My mother bought a 2008 Lexus RX 350. At 88k miles, she began experiencing issues with her car while driving and brought it to the dealership for an inspection. They told her that there were massive problems with her engine which would cost over $5k to fix. This car isnt even at 100k miles yet so it was incredible that there would be any engine problems. For what its worth, my mother is a very safe, responsible driver and she has never skipped any maintenance on her car. We asked what our options were and they told us that we were past the warranty, so our only option would be to pay the $5k out of pocket. Obviously, we were upset so we called the consumer hotline that they provided us to voice our concerns, and we spoke with a representative named Carlos. He admitted that there were known engine issues with the RX models and said that he would call us back with a solution.A few days later, he called us and said that he would cover only 50% of the parts. He would absolutely not budge even though we told him that Lexus should cover 100% of the parts and labor as this was a known issue. I feel that Lexus sold us a car with a faulty engine and is now refusing any responsibility. At this point, I am seriously considering suing the company and will never buy a Lexus again.

I purchased new my 2008 IS 250, it now has 48,895 miles including an extended four year warranty that is about to expire. I noticed chunks of the dash and door panels literally start falling out, as well as the material turn to a melty, gooey mess. I reported this each and every time I was at the dealership, who graciously agreed to send the car in for detailing (at their expense) - then later tried to tell me that the car was out of warranty, and that this problem was caused by chemicals I used when I washed my car! It wasnt until I became enraged that they sent my issue on to Lexus-in-the-sky, who came back with what they called a fair, good will gesture..... They would pay for half of the replacement, to the tune of $2800.00, since the damage was not considered a material defect. I have two other cars, neither of which are LUXURY cars, both older, one with +125k miles, and the interior looks like the day the car was purchased. I live in Florida, and granted it is hot - but similarly, other makes, models and brands of cars are not plagued by this problematic inferior, interior dash/door panel material.Lexus is branded as a luxury line of cars, and when I purchased this car, I paid for the REPUTATION that comes with the LEXUS brand - including vehicle design, performance, workmanship, and customer service. What I have gotten is five recalls, one including a new rebuilt engine, one for gas pedal issues, air conditioning problems, and now this continual runaround about a problem that is, continues to be recognized as a wide-spread concern.LEXUS needs to bone up and admit there is a problem and its more wide spread than they let on. They also need to stop calling me about their stupid sign-and-drive promotions. I will not invest a dime into any Lexus vehicle until they make this right.... Or not!

Although I actually like my 2011 RX 450h, I am extremely disappointed with Lexus from a warranty perspective. Basically, it appears absolutely nothing is ever covered under the warranty. Since I purchased this new vehicle two years ago, I have spent thousands of dollars for required maintenance. Additionally, the tires were faulty from day one and required replacement at $1900 a pop. Lexus cars are comfortable. I like the features and the easy accessibility of the car. The leather seats are easy to clean which makes my job a lot easier. The butt warmers are nice and help to keep us all warm during the winter months of the years. Our model specifically can only hold up to five people. The car has a small built and our model is black and sleek. The paint has stayed nice and sharp throughout the course of many years and I believe that it will continue to do so over the next couple until we decide to go to either donate the car or purchase a new one. We are interested in a car with seats that are not leather as the smell bothers my family and the seats always seem to be super hot or cold.

I purchased a 2008 IS 250 Lexus in San Diego, California. Since purchasing it, I have had all my service done at the Kearny Mesa, San Diego location. This car has been riddled with problems and recalls including engine, brakes, seat belt, navigation and more. The problems just are never ending, and it does not seem Lexus is interested in taking any responsibility. When my touch screen system stopped responding to touch (350 miles outside of warranty), they quoted nearly $2,800 for replacement. They built a cheap car, charged a premium for the car and are collected from each of us to have their poor workmanship items repaired. I will never buy another Lexus and would never refer anyone to them either.

Im very disappointed on how Lexus is handling the recall on my NX 300 2019. I felt that no one in either dealership or Customer Service are willing to assist us. Currently they only providing a $35 a day rental car to replace my NX 300 until Lexus figure out the problem and find the resolutions. First Lexus should have not sold any cars that are not quality controlled and tested. Currently I have to settle to drive a Ford while paying for a Lexus car; this does not make any sense at all. The least Lexus can do is to provide us with another Lexus car that are safe to drive.

Lexus has very wide range of multi purpose vehicles, there is a lot of different everyday car models as well. They also have several supercar models. They are very sleek and stylish, very high quality looks and designs. You definitely can tell what the quality is like by looking at it. You can also very easily fit 4 passengers in it, one in the front and three in the back, its surprisingly roomy in the back. The passengers can be seated comfortably.

I am the not so proud owner of a 2009 Lexus IS250. My question is why can NO ONE work on this Navigation System but Lexus? Monopoly much? My dash board and all of the material on the doors and everywhere isnt cracking, I can rub it off with one finger. Its melting. You cant clean it because anything you use just sticks to it and it looks horrible. To go along with this my water pump cracked overheated my car and destroyed my electrical system to include the alternator, battery, navigation system, and all of this has been replaced but my navigation system because Im now flat broke and no one seems to be able to figure out how to fix it other than with another $1500 Computer from Lexus because that is the only place you can buy them. And if you do find one aftermarket, no one will touch it. My heat is stuck on and has been since winter. Its so stupid Im ready to drive this car off a cliff! Recall the water heater!

Lexus has a wide variety of models. I picked the IS 250 mainly because it is one of the more affordable models. However the es350 is super crazy ridiculous nice. I do recommend this vehicle because the features are very nice and very high-quality. The passenger seats five, the backseat is extremely small in the 250 and that sucks because thats what I got. But they are very credible and customizable depending on your budget. Naturally it does cost but its worth every penny because you get what you want. It is the best riding car around.

You can always spot a Lexus. Theyre sleek, stylish, fully luxurious and theyre desired. It has modern features, has a streamlined body and its very beautiful. There are so many options, too. Sedans, SUVs, convertibles, they literally have everything you could want. You can get leather seats, custom colors and custom paint jobs if you desire. You can also get fuel economy features, and some awesome entertainment options if youre into that. Bluetooth equipped so you can connect your mobile device for hands-free operation. In addition, you can have as many as five or six passengers depending on the model. If you need more capacity, there are SUV options to suit your needs. A full sized sedan also has ample seating and youre never going to feel claustrophobic. If youre looking for affordable luxury, Lexus is the right choice.

Lexus needs a few more models as to distinguish itself from other luxury brands. Right now, Lexus has a staple of sedans and coupes for a sporty type of brand. I am not impressed with their SUV and perhaps they need a different type of crossover. I found too that Lexus did not offer as many upgrades as I had hoped to find from a luxury car company. I felt limited by the options available. Otherwise, Lexus has a very Alex and modern look which is supported by modern in-car features. Lexus does a good job of incorporate a more modern feel into a luxury car. The car also fits about 4 comfortably which is more than enough for me. I think it very average in that respect.

2021 GX460 Luxury edition no longer has dual auto-dimming mirrors! They had them on the GX460 Premium/Luxury trim ever since their 2010 redesign and even after the 2020 facelift they kept this feature on the Luxury edition...only to be dropped on a 2021! Theyre saving $100 on a $70k vehicle! Every other Lexus vehicle has them standard or available in a package except for the GX460 now! Whats next Lexus??? Manual windows???I wrote to Lexus about this and earlier today spoke to their Case Manager regarding this issue. First she said that Lexus determines their vehicles features based on extensive research and consumer feedback! Really??? Who are those customers that complained about their passenger side auto-dimming mirror preventing them from being blinded by a semi or an F-250??? But then it gets even more bizarre: she said that it is not salesperson responsibility to inform customers about vehicle features... OK! Whos job is it?So according to her, it was my job to somehow suspect that Lexus would decide to drop this feature from a vehicle that had it on every MY starting from 2010-2013 (Premium) and then from 2014-2019 (Luxury) and it stayed on the 2020 redesign on the Luxury trim!!! I was supposed to suspect that it would be dropped for 2021... because..?? Im sorry, but this was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back. Good deal Lexus! You saved your nickel... Youve lost a loyal customer! If this is what you call pursuit of perfection count me out of that pursuit!

I have contacted the Lexus service and and went to the service departments in person. They all didnt accept the car. I dont get it. I had the car checked before I shipped it from the States and I did make a complaint about the engine shaking to the service department when I was in New York, Manhattan service center. I had the car checked and the service department told me everything was fine. Now the car is dangerous to drive, engine light is on and the traction light is on. I went to a mechanic here and he said that some cylinders needed to be replaced. Other than that, my drivers side drive shaft needs to be replaced due to the rubber that is wearing off and some kind of liquid is coming out of it, which cost a lot of money and I went to the dealership and they told me that they couldnt even order the parts for me because they would never come. The car has two recalls that needs to be done. The gas pedal keeps getting stuck to the carpet and something that has to do with the fuel, and Lexus is putting my life at risk because I got the car from the States. I really do not understand. The car is still a Lexus and still belongs to Lexus. Im demanding the repair to be done by Lexus company at least from Japan. If you would at least send me an email to someone I can speak to in Japan, I would really appreciate it. The car only has about 9000 miles which is considered still new. Ive asked the Lexus here in Saudi Arabia to at least check the car from the computer to see what the problem is. They refused and told me the codes wouldnt come up because its an American spec car which is really just an excuse because Im 100% sure that it will read all the codes. Please direct me to someones email, just someone who could help me. I moved to Saudi Arabia and had to ship my car because of my work and was transferred here. I have a 2007 IS250. I bought the vehicle brand new. Ive had several issues with this vehicle, for starters the vehicle inside interior is POORLY crafted. The dash is melting, as well as the door panels. Ive had to replace both headlights. I also had minor engine problems which was covered under warranty. Lexus is rated as one of the top vehicles in the country. I would NEVER EXPECT a TOP RATED vehicle as Lexus to have this sort of issue (interior). I find this to be VERY UNFAIR to myself and other consumers who have purchased this vehicle and also experiencing this problem (interior). Lexus REFUSE to order a RECALL on this issue. If I had known the interior on this vehicle was SO POOR I would have never purchased it. If you are thinking on purchasing this model, the model itself is NICE, OTHERWISE, DO NOT PURCHASE. I just would think a company of the sort (Lexus) would do a MUCH BETTER JOB at listening and HANDLING consumers complaints and protecting LEXUS name. I am sure this complaint is not the only complaint on this particular model (IS250). I own a 2007 Lexus RX350 that was purchased in 2008. It has been a very reliable car with few mechanical issues over the last 11 years. In the last year, my dashboard began to crack and now is split in several places. I contacted my Lexus dealer who negated to even inform me there was a national recall on the dash itself. I had taken my vehicle in for routine service during that recall envelope and not one thing was mentioned! Park Place Lexus/DFW area practically blew off my concerns off and told me to call the Lexus 800 number. I was subsequently told the recall period had expired and their attitude stemmed around them informing me it was MY responsibility to check for recalls. What??? My 84 year old mother was driving her 2008 RX350 on a crowded street in Richmond, VA when the engine suddenly stalled at a speed of 35mph leaving her without power steering or power brakes. She was able to stop the vehicle but was stranded in an active traffic lane for over 30 minutes fearful of being struck prior to the response to her call to 911 for help. The local Lexus dealer diagnosed that the problem was a broken intake valve spring on an engine with only 76k miles. In spite of the fact that Lexus has identified that they had problems with faulty intake valve springs in the 3.5L engines in 2006-2008 they denied that that was a possible cause of this problem. Lexus agreed to cover a portion of the repair as a courtesy, but would not cover the entire repair, which will be over $10,000. I was shocked about how difficult the case manager from Lexus customer satisfaction was to deal with. It sure seems like they are once again trying to distance themselves from known problems. The only reason this car was purchased was the reputation that Lexus made a quality product and stood behind them. I found that to not be the case.

I think the defect is associated with the way the airbag was installed and I further believe Toyota knows this. Beyond the appearance issue I wonder if the airbag is defective?

I bought my 2006 GS300 1/07 with 7,000 miles. I had all maintenance performed at the dealership since ownership. Absolutely nothing performed elsewhere, whether oil/filter, tires, brakes, etc. All periodic maintenance was religiously performed. My car would rough idle occasionally, and it began eating oil several years ago. Numerous oil consumption checks, and many, many trips to the dealership. My check engine vsc light came on 1/5/15, something that had occurred previously on multiple occasions, and I immediately took it to the dealership. Was told I NOW need the engine misfire repair, which to my understanding includes replacement of the pistons. Lexus Satisfaction has to get involved after the request for the repair from the dealership was denied by Lexus because the car is now 9 years old (which coincidentally just occurred). The engine misfire repair will be performed as long as the car is less than 9 years old. I then battled with Lexus Dissatisfaction and was ultimately informed they would not compromise on their decision. It is truly a very disappointing decision. Until the remedy becomes available, we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat.So their solution is to not have us drive with anyone in the passenger seat until some unknown time in the future (1 month? 6 months? 1 year? 2 years?), when they finally contact us to fix the defect. This is unacceptable. How are families that need to use the passenger seat to carry everyone supposed to function with this solution? They need to come up with a short time fix until the longer term problem can be resolved, e.g., remove the deadly airbag in the near term and replace it at some point in the future. We have seat belts that can protect the passenger in the meantime and the seat belt will not kill someone unexpectedly. My impression is Lexus sent his note because they are more concerned about their legal liability if the defect occurs and less concerned about how thousands families with IS 250 or ES 350 are suppose operate day to day and never use the passenger seat until Lexus determine the best method for minimizing their costs to address this issue.

Do Not Buy a Lexus with Parchment Leather. Color in our ES 350 seat bolster was gone at 23K miles, picture should be attached. Yet color in our older RX 350 is still perfect at 73K miles. The ES 350 is under factory warranty. Contacted both the selling dealership and Corporate Customer Service, and they basically Take a hike. Been Lexus customers since 1993, but that has now ended.

On December 2011 I took all my savings to buy the best luxury car to drive and enjoy my Golden years. After receiving various recommendations and reading the reviews I decided to buy a Lexus RX 350. I went to Lexus of Wilmington and purchased Lexus RX 350. The dealership assured me this car would easily last for more than two to three hundred thousand miles if I changed the oil in a timely fashion. On September 21, 2019 the temperature gauge showed my car was overheating, I immediately took it to Newark ToyotaWorld. They found no leaks and there was no warning code or indication on the display panel of any malfunction. I have religiously done maintenance as recommended based on the professional advisement of Lexus from the date of purchase. All maintenance records can be obtained through Newark ToyotaWorld. After taking the RX350 to Toyota on September 21st, I was told by the Newark Toyota dealer that my car needs a new water pump and engine replacement. The cost to replace it with a used engine and no warranty is $8,049.49 and the cost to replace for a new engine is $14,985. I was told to remove my car from their parking lot within a few days. I talked to Lexus customer rep Cindy and Lis ** complaint #**, she told me to get my car towed or transported to Lexus of Wilmington to further analyze the engine malfunctions (I have already spent $120 diagnosis fee, and $100 in towing charges). Why I need to further waste more money for towing to Lexus of Wilmington, plus their diagnosis fee, when it has already been determined by a professional Engineer that there is no compression in the engine, Radiator is leaking, water pump and battery is discharged.Since I no longer have any reliable transportation, I have turned to public transport to go to doctors appointments, and receiving rides from my neighbors to run daily errands like food. I have depleted my savings funneling money into this so-called world class Lexus, now I have no money left to buy any new vehicles. My dream of enjoying my golden years driving a dependable luxury car has become a nightmare. I wish I had gone with a competitor’s product in hindsight. I feel I was cheated out of my money, knowingly I was sold a Lemon by Lexus of Wilmington. Company/dealership has defrauded and I can do nothing.Zubair

I have a very critical problem! Im on oxygen 24 hours a day. I rent the Invacare Solar II portable oxygen machine because I can re-charge it in the car by plugging into the car cigarette lighter. I had a life threatening experience while on a trip to Connecticut. I had the Invacare plugged into the cigarette lighter and the end melted and couldnt be used at all. I was stuck on the highway with no oxygen. I have taken the car to the dealership several times and they keep changing the fuse but were not able to fix the problem. The Invacare Solar II is designed to be re-charged from the cigarette lighter.

We bought a RX 330 that is fast and reliable. The technology package is state of the art with everything you can dream of. The car is very luxurious and comfortable too. The appearance is sports utility vehicle savvy and sleek with and a little style, bit of sexy in it. It fits my needs with style and is one of a kind. The inside is spacious and fits the whole family including a dog or two. It is very roomy and comfortable. Their technology package is out of this world. It is suited for every age, and is a perfect family car for all ages. I would definitely recommend this car for anybody looking for beyond luxury at an affordable price.
