On 11/25/18 I purchased a vehicle from KIA of Irvine. They totally scammed me on the service and maintenance contracts and also the theft deterrent on the car. They went as far as to fraudulently forged my signatures on the maintenance and service contracts. Those two added up to $4000.00, they also snuck in $1495.00 for the theft. So a total of $5495.00 added to my contract without my knowledge of it. The people that work in finance are nothing less than thieves and liars. None. And for you people that work in sales your hands aren't clean either. You might not be directly involved in the fraud and the "Payment Packing" that is being used in finance, all of you most definitely are aware of what's going on over there in finance. When you guys forged my signature on those two contracts, you then submitted them for payment and then received payment for them. That is fraud!! And I am 100% convinced that the owner of this dealership has got to be aware of the practices being used there to commit fraud to scam their customers out of money. "HE KNOWS." Every one in sales and finance are all thiefs and I assure you, that you will get what you have coming.

I have owned 2 Kia Soul's in the past 4 years. The first car had some paint problems in that a lot of chipping was going on and not only around the wheels. There was paint chipping on the sides and at the top of the roof. We don't live on a gravel road nor do we drive on any gravel roads, when I took the car in for this, keeping in mind that this is the 2010 model with 83000 km. The dealership took some pictures and sent them in to Kia for the ok to go ahead and fix the problem. Kia gave them the go ahead and we got our car repainted. The new paint on the car was considerably better, in fact we had no real chipping and as the body guy said it was because there was actually some paint on the car.We traded this car in for a 2012 Kia Soul and now are facing the same problem. The difference is that I actually installed mud flaps on this car when I got it home and it is worse than the first car, in fact at the back wheel there is no paint at all and the car has surface rust developing on about a 4" area. Showing this to the dealer, they went through the same procedure of taking pictures and submitting them to Kia, this time the verdict was different. They are not going to cover the paint work. They are not going to paint the car. I have called Kia Customer service and awaiting a call back.

I contacted Kia 940 N Wesleyan Blvd, Rocky Mt, NC 27804 (252) 937-2222 regarding a new car I purchased 2 years ago. Since I have been issued a permanent company vehicle and never drive my personal one anymore, I wanted information regarding what selling my Kia back would be. Not only did they promise to "return" my call with information more than twice, which they failed to do, when I did continue calling and eventually speak with employees they gave contradictory information, were on the defense and condescending. One of the employee even mentioning a situation from 2 days after I purchased the car when he was very rude to me regarding a surprise flat tire one morning on my brand new car and the road side assistance policy that I got when I acquired the vehicle. I have taken great care of my vehicle and have made all my payments on if not before they were due, but from the moment I purchased the vehicle to now, I have hated having to call the dealership regarding anything due to the poor customer service. I can not wait to be rid of all reasons to have to contact them again.

My 2013 Kia Soul, still under warranty, has major engine problems. An independent mechanic says its a cylinder. Kia refuses to repair without all service records since purchase. Many oil changes were done at home!! I'm out a basically new car!! Anyone know of a class action against them about this matter? I know they had the same issues with Kia Sorento.

My 2.4 liter engine is part of a recall of over 1.5 Million cars. Well, my VIN number is not on this list!!! My engine blow for exactly what the recall is for... premature bearing wear causes the engine to throw a rod! Kia says it's not covered because I am the second owner, the car has 89,000 miles on it and would have been covered if I was the original owner! THAT'S NOT THE POINT. This engine was recalled for this problem. End of story! But, NO mine is a Hybrid and they aren't a MODEL that was under the recall! It's the same 2.4 liter engine! I have talked to customer service, they sent me to the ESCALATION department. They said it's not on the recall list and isn't under warranty. So, now my car has been at Kemper Kia of Bridgewater New Jersey for 3 weeks. Have talked to a very reputable engine repair shop. They told me this is often how they let bad news out about recalls, a few models at a time. I can't wait for them to actually put my car on the list. This really sucks and so does KIA for not covering this AT ALL!!!!

Our 2013 Kia Sorento w/ 46,963 miles had engine failure at 55 mph. Towed to a local mechanic who diagnosed oil pump failure. Had it towed to Austin dealership and researched Kia problems and discovered that Kia began a recall on 06/22/2017 on the Theta II GDI engine due to manufacturing errors that left metal shavings which occurred at the Montgomery, AL plant for MY 2012-2014 Kia Sorentos. Kia service manager in Austin says "ours is not part of the recall because ours has the Theta II MPI engine." Said "we could drop the oil pan to look for shavings ($195) and main & rod bearings to look for damage ($400) but we still wouldn't be eligible for repairs." $6800 to replace w/ another Kia engine? I think not. NHTSA has an open investigation on the "scope and timeliness" of the SC147 recall. There are also many complaints listed for engine failures.

Traded in 2012 Kia for 2014 KIA at Jeff Belzer's Lakeville MN. They brought the 2014 to my home. On January 22nd 2015, KIA had loud tick to the motor. Contacted Jeff Belzer's the following day. They gave me no help said they would get back to me. I had to climb the ladder. Still no help on the issue. On February 9th I took it in to Bill Barth of Mandan. They contacted KIA, ran the tests that was necessary, the KIA only had 1000 miles on it, was a brand new 2014 Kia. Came back they found that the motor wasn't bored out and cleaned out right. So the motor has to be changed out and replaced. Been calling KIA affairs since January 13th 2015 now it is January 27th still the run around. Being passed through their agents having a car that I'm paying for that I can't drive. It has been over a month so KIA customer affairs are no help. They aren't doing the job for the customer.

Purchased a new 2012 KIA Forte Koup. It now has 20,000 miles and has had 4 new batteries. The car drains the batteries completely and they can't be re charged. Keep having it towed to Kia Dealerships and they tell me they can find nothing wrong with the car. This is a car I purchased for my daughter to take to college and 2 batteries we had to buy because it died on the weekend when no dealer was open. I am so afraid of this car for a young girl to have. She is also afraid to drive it anywhere as she never knows when it will kill the battery. I stay a nervous wreck, as I never know when it will break down. Any suggestions?

I own a 2012 Kia Soul and as I've read previously in a Sorento post, my engine also went out. I was on the interstate with my grandson going about 75 mph when I heard a loud knock, my dashboard lights all flickered like Christmas lights, and my car stalled. Luckily, I was able to pull over from the fast lane to the side of the road. Kia has had my car for 3 weeks. The dealership and I have called headquarters multiple times with no response from my case manager. No one has provided me with a rental car. I have to pay for a rental out of my own pocket. I don't see my make or model on the recall list but I obviously have the same engine issue as the other Kias. My car barely has 100,000 on it. It just flipped like the week or 2 before the engine went out.

The week after I bought my Kia, the Kia dealership in my neighborhood changed to a Lexus. You would have thought the sales team would have told me when selling me my car. I thought I was getting a dealer near my place for easy repairs. So when I broke down with a flat tire, I called roadside. I'm on a lease so covered. But they said I had to have my car towed to two cities away unless I wanted to pay for it and apply for reimbursement. They said I'd just have to wait for my reimbursement. That reimbursement was denied after two months of waiting. According to Kia, I should have had my car towed and repaired over an hour away rather than the block from my house at the Discount Tire center I took it to.Trying to get them to respond is also a system set up to make the customer just give up: you're not allowed to talk directly to the department making the decision. Each call is to another department that has to advocate for you. That department is always backed up with calls. So to get 300 dollars back from an allegedly covered roadside service need, it has taken three months and it was denied because they closed the Kia dealership in my city.
