Infiniti Troubleshooting

Infiniti is the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Nissan. Infiniti officially started selling vehicles on November 8, 1989, in North America. The marketing network for Infiniti-branded vehicles included dealers in over 50 countries in the 2010s. As of 2020, there were 25 markets served by new car dealers.

Automobile Troubleshooting

Slipping Automatic Transmission
When properly maintained, an automatic transmission can last for more than 200,000 miles without trouble. The modern automatic transmission is a hydraulic system comprised of several seals, gaskets, and lines that can become damaged, clogged with debris, or leak. When this happens, a transmission will ‘slip’ or not shift smoothly. To avoid this common car problem, stay on top of the recommended transmission service for your vehicle.
All cars require maintenance to remain operable. Even when you stay on top of suggested support services, like oil changes and tire rotations, issues will occur. Driving style or car model may leave your car more prone to certain problems than others.

Overheating
You might suspect overheating to be higher on this list, but in reality, it occurs rarely. In most modern cars, the cooling system is very complex, containing multiple sensors that monitor coolant temperature, flow, and other components. Staying on top of radiator flush services and changing the water pump before it breaks are two easy ways to reduce the potential for overheating issues.

Dead Battery
Most car batteries should last about three years or 50,000 miles. A dead battery is usually caused by reduced amps – or electrical currents – which naturally decrease as the battery loses its ability to maintain a charge. A damaged alternator, battery temperature sensor, or other charging system components can expedite this issue. It’s best to replace your car battery every 50,000 miles or three years, even if it’s not showing signs of damage.

Poor Fuel Economy
When the engine is running efficiently, it burns fuel at a rate that helps improve fuel economy. However, several fuel system parts like fuel filters, air filters, mass airflow sensors, and O2 sensors will eventually get dirty or wear out. If this happens before they are replaced, it will cause the engine to consume more fuel than usual. Again, being proactive about routine servicing provides the solution.

Broken Starter Motor
The starter motor is responsible for cranking your engine over, which begins the starting process. When this component fails, it’s usually because the electrical solenoid has been damaged, the starter motor breaks or another electrical fault occurs – like a starter relay, for example. While a starter can be replaced before it breaks, it’s difficult to predict when this will happen. It’s best to have a car-starting inspection to determine the problem before assuming it's the starter.

Alternator Failure
The alternator is the part of your vehicle that keeps all electrical systems running once the car starts. It’s also responsible for supplying a charge to your battery to keep it in peak condition. When an alternator breaks, it will eventually cause the battery to wear out prematurely and other starting issues. Check your recommended service intervals and replace the alternator before it breaks to avoid this hassle.

Brakes Squeaking or Grinding
Like any other moving part on your car, the brake system is intended to wear out over a designated period. Brakes are vital for safe stopping, so when they display any symptoms of issues, like squealing, squeaking, or a soft brake pedal – they should be inspected by a professional mechanic as soon as possible. While minor problems can cause squeaking or squealing noises, once the brakes start grinding, it’s a definite sign they need to be replaced.

Flat Tires
While most tires become flat after striking an object or being punctured, simple wear and tears can be the main source. Extend your tire's lifespan by keeping them properly rotated, as recommended by your vehicle manufacturer. Generally, rotating tires every 5,000 miles (or when you change your engine oil) is the best advice.

I just want to start I am Infiniti loyal customer, this is my 3rd Infiniti. My current car is QX70. About 4 months ago my car would start and shut off. I took it to Oklahoma city Infiniti dealer and they diagnose the issue a day change the break switch with didnt help. Took it the 2nd time and they program the computer and told me this will solve the issues. Same day after I picked the car start doing the same thing + jerking while speeding and slowing down and out power at all. I took it back and they went and changed the engine magnetic head which I dont understand why. Picked the car and 2 days before Christmas while doing shopping with my little girl, while waiting at a traffic light the car shut off. I had to put the gear on park and start the car. This is a safety concerns. I called the dealer the next day and was asked to bring the car. This time I took a video of the car not starting and show it to the service manager which he now have proof. The dealer cant diagnose the issue and I been told by the shop foreman to contact Infiniti consumer affair which I did. After they contact me I been told by OKC dealer I cant no longer bring the car to them since the Infiniti corporate been notify. The consumer affair supervisor informed me that Infiniti cant do anything special to fix the car. What I can do take it to different dealer which about 120 miles which I did and they have the car now. So Infiniti is aware of this issue and I have 3 recorded videos of the issues and wont do anything even its a safety issue. Hope Jacki ** of Tulsa Oklahoma will be able to help. WILL SEE.

Purchased a 2020 QX50 and its already been towed twice because it simply would not start. In both cases the car was in a safe place however, I was without a vehicle. Infiniti services scheduled the tows. The first tow took over a day to pick up the car. The second time the tow took over 2 days to be picked up. The AutoStart had be replaced....in a 2020 vehicle. I classify Infiniti as a luxury vehicle and with that expect a reliable vehicle and attention to the customer experience. I give Infiniti a ZERO on both ratings.

I got screwed by Infiniti. They sold me a wrecked QX56 truck as new. Really? How low is that? Sell a wrecked car as new? Wow, I am pissed and Im going to fight back. Do not buy Infiniti. I have contacted Sonic, Infiniti of Tysons Corner and their attorney and they are not responding in a timely manner. My safety, patience and goodwill towards the Infiniti brand are wearing thin. Please intervene before this situation becomes an unfortunate PR disaster. In October of 2006, I thought I was buying a brand new 2006 QX56. I paid market rate for a new car, not used and not wrenched. I would have never bought the car had I known it was damaged. Now I found out the car was wrenched, repaired and sold to me as new without my knowledge. I found out about the accident through Carfax in August 2012 when trying to trade in my truck for a new one due to some serious mechanical issues.Apparently, the car was involved in an accident strong enough to deploy the air bags and damage the axle. Jim Coleman Infiniti service record shows the car was repaired and serviced after the accident. I contacted Jim Coleman service department and they confirmed that the car was damaged and serviced by them prior to sending the truck over to Infiniti of Tysons Corner. I feel betrayed, swindled and cheated. They sold me a wrecked truck as new. Unacceptable, this is plain and simple fraud. I paid new car price which means I overpaid. I financed the car which means I paid extra interest on an overpriced damaged car. I insured a car that was not worth the price paid. It was over-insured. Upon trade-in, my trade-in value was depressed due to the fact the truck was in an accident. Airbag deployment is a serious accident with potential frame damage.Safety issue - The car was damaged with air bag deployed. Was the air bag replaced? Would it work now? Was I ever in danger? Was my family in danger? Over the years, the car rattled and vibrated at 60-80 MPH. The dealer’s response was to change tires. Over the year, the brakes would regularly perform inconstantly. My demand is a formal apology and replacement for a new 2013 QX56.

I bought a JX35 in September 2013. I had 5000 miles on it when the transmission began to shutter and shake between 15-20 mph. We took it back to the dealership twice before they agreed to replace the transmission. Then it started making a jarring motion while driving at any speed. It feels like it wants to stop while driving 60 mph. We have taken back to infinifi and were told it is now the new transmission. We also had to have the AC motor blower repaired. I have owned the JX35 for 9 months now and I do not feel safe to drive my family around in this vehicle. I was told the tech would have to call Infiniti on how to handle the transmission this time around. I have made a complaint with Infiniti Consumer Affairs but have not received a response yet. I paid a pretty penny for a car that is not safe to drive. I also had to bring it in for an airbag sensor recall in the passenger side seat.

Infiniti Navigation System 2017 North America Map Version X9 - Horrible customer service, do not buy any map updates for these scam artist. I bought the 2017 update version of the Navigation system fully expecting that the newest section of the Grand Parkway SH-99 around Houston which opened in March and April of 2016 totaling over 38 miles of highway to be included in new update. However, to my huge disappointment after installing the new version on my Infiniti it was not. This was the largest new highway construction in the Houston Metro area in the last 20 years. How could they have overlooked a huge project like this? Totally inexcusable in my opinion. Their customer support refused to issues any kind of refund after explaining the situation nor would they provide a free upgrade for the following year release. Ive never heard of a car company that likes to screw their customers as much as the Infiniti car company. Before buying any Infiniti thats before 2021, you should know that if you get one with a panoramic roof it doesnt open. Who invest money in a panoramic roof and doesnt allow it to open? You should also know that if you ever want to get Apple CarPlay, or whatever the Android version of that is, you cant. Infiniti decided to be the only car company that would not allow compatibility with any aftermarket product. If youre OK with all of that, then its a very beautiful car. If beauty is all you are looking for and not a car that actually makes sense or a company that likes their customers, then this is the car for you.

I went in to purchase a car and signed finance agreement on 1/24 though a First Investors out of Sacramento, CA. I was to pay about $340 a month for 66 months on a 2010 Kia Optima with a purchase price of $14,995.00. Interest rate was well of 17%. As I understood it that night, I was fully financed and ready to set up payments. I received a call from another finance company (Summert?) maybe 3 days later saying that they are working with Infiniti to get me finance and wanted to ask me a few questions. I told them that this must be a mistake because Ive already signed an agreement and have been approved for finance. I promptly called the dealership to find out what was going on. Well to sum it all up, financing fell through within 4 days. I offered to return the car in exchange for a refund of my $3,000.00 down payment on car. They insisted that they will get financing for the car. I went in 3 other occasions to return the car since financing was not happening. On February 22, 2012, due to the tag expiring, they offered the car again and they wanted to give me a loaner agreement instead for no cost. I returned the car the next day. They only refunded me the amount that was paid on a debit card, which was $1500.00. Based on the small print on the finance agreement, it says if contract is terminated by any event, the customer shall be obligated to return the vehicle to the dealer within 24 hours of the date of termination and the customer shall be liable to dealer for $1.00 per mile used over and above 25 miles per day average, plus any wear and tear or damage to the vehicle. I purchased the car at 40,900 miles and I returned it to them with 42,342 miles on 02/23/2012. I only received $1500.00 of a refund and should have at least received $2192.00. They were trying to get me to keep the car until they secured financing knowing that they had this small print in an agreement that I didnt have the opportunity to read or see after financing fell through because the contract was no longer valid after it fell through. This wasnt disclosed to me until I had the car for more than 4 days. I feel that I should be entitled to full refund do the fact that they tried to hide and withhold information from me, lender, and my Trustee Jon **. They were dishonest from the beginning to me and the lender. I am a low income mother of two going to college full time and cant afford to be out $1,500 and with no way to purchase a car to get around. I feel that they have enabled me in so many ways and now I can lose my job and funding for school if I cant find funds to purchase a reasonably priced vehicle.

If your Infiniti Q50 AWD sport or non sport 19 rims with the Dunlop SP 5000 DSST CTT run flat tires will probably develop a low speed squashy sound around 10k-15k miles you will hear with the windows down. If you notice this tire noise the tires are under warranty from Goodyear who now owns Dunlop and Kelly. Goodyear Tire Company will send you to a retail tire shop and once confirmed tires are in fact bad will prorate towards a new set of run flat or non - run flat Dunlop, Goodyear or Kelly tires. I have a 2015 Q50 AWD sport with Deluxe and Technology Package my bad original Dunlop 5000 DSST CTT @ 14,917 miles, I chose the EAGLE SPORT A/S non-run flat tires that come with a 50,000 mile warranty. Very low tire noise, smooth riding, better braking, excellent in rain + dry traction-handling, good snow traction. These new Goodyear tires has definitely improved my overall ownership experience with the Infiniti Q50.

Within a year from buying my Infiniti FX35 from an Infiniti dealership, the fuel gauge began to erroneously display the gas level of my fuel tank. The issue presented itself with fluctuating readings, showing 1/2 tank, then rising up to 3/4, and then decreasing to nearly empty, no matter the amount of gas in the tank. My only defense to this game of Empty Tank Russian Roulette, and the severe headaches/anxiety/burden it presented/posed was to reset my odometer at every full tank, and refuel when the distance traveled totaled close to 340 miles. Currently, regardless of the volume of actual gas in my tank, my gauge reader floats near the E, with the corresponding red light illuminated to add insult to injury. I would randomly check on recall sites to see if this issue has been reported by others, and Ive seen the issue arise in later models and in other model types. The last straw, prompting this post, was my stranded wife and child, where our strategy to guess the fuel level failed us, highlighting the million dollar question: Why do I need to have a strategy to guess the fuel level for a luxury vehicle, with the safety of my family at stake?

At the time of leasing I pre-paid for any minor damages, scratches, small dings, etc. When I turned the vehicle in I was told everything was good. BUT, approximately 4 months later I received a phone call from a debt collector saying I owed Infiniti additional money to cover minor scratches and dings. I attempted to resolve this with the dealership who said it outside their responsibility. I attempted to resolve this with Infiniti Leasing who said that I needed to work with the dealership. Infiniti FX35 2012 - Fantastic car, good stability and handling in inclement weather and windy conditions. The controls on the steering wheel are also easy to use. The cameras are helpful in tight spaces as well. The built-in map program works fairly well but you need to pay to update it annually. The car can go almost 500 miles on a single tank of gas for a road trip. The car is a mid-size SUV that handles a lot of items in the cargo area. It is easy to pack different types of items. The car travels well for tall individuals 64 or so in the front sears. The Bose sound system is fabulous too. However, the car does not have intuitive windshield wipers. The exterior mirrors are not heated and they freeze over when it is sleeting. The little gadget box where the lighter is has no purpose as well.

I wish I had found this website prior to conducting business with Infiniti. I agreed to a 39 month lease agreement. The sales rep told me since it is a lease vehicle and it will show under Infiniti, they take care of property taxes etc and I would only pay the monthly payment which is link to my bank account for automatic deduction so that I will not be late. I was wrong. WARNING: PLEASE BE VIGILANT if you have an account with Infiniti especially MISC charges.I had a parking ticket in Arlington which is $50. I paid for the ticket. Apparently Infiniti gets the notification also. Instead of investigating into the ticket, they ALSO paid the ticket and added the charge under MISC $50.00+$20.00 (20 is the admin fee since they paid the ticket). I called to dispute it. I spoke with several individuals and supervisors over several months. The supervisor spoke to me a condescending tone. Instead of objectively looking into the charges, they repeated what previous employees have noted in the system regarding my account. THIS GETS BETTER..I had to called Arlington Treasurer with the ticket number and guess what.. my account showed two payments (one from Infiniti and one from my bank account). The representative from Arlington also stated they mailed a check back to Infiniti which they CASHED. Now I have to prove to Infiniti that I paid. After the confrontations, they also reported to Credit Bureau that I was late on my December 2013 payment and it showed on my account. I had to dispute that too since bank statement showed Infiniti drafted payment successful on time. I am confident that this one is intentional. This is really frustrating to the point that I just want to pay for all the charges and return the car. Thankful, I only have one month left. I will never buy anything from Nissan again. I will be legal actions even though dealing with them is extremely painful but if I let this go, this will continue.

I recently purchased my 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe with only 66,000 miles on it, thinking Ive got a great deal. Well since day one of the purchase of this car, I have had problems with the radio and the air controls, as I see everyone else has with these cars. At first, my radio would not work at all and the air is stuck on auto 75. Now day to day, its a surprise every time I get in my car, whether the radio is going to work or not. When it does come on, however, I can only control the volume from my controls on my steering wheel. This now seems to have gone into a further problem which i have read also from another persons statement about the battery. It has now since 2 days ago, it started hesitating on starting as if the battery were going dead. All my lights come on in my dash and I have to restart my car to get them to go off. This seems to be a very big problem with these cars and under warranty or not, I think this issue should be addressed and corrected by Infiniti. With so much going on, I honestly dont even feel safe driving this car because from the other statements, it seems to start just as mine has and goes into something even worse. So what will it take for Infiniti to correct this problem? I am very disappointed.

I am the sad owner of a 2003 Infiniti FX35. I have had so many problems with the car and I will never ever even consider buying another Nissan product. My problems consisted of a non-working gas gauge, a CD player that skipped like crazy from the start of my ownership, replaced both front end wheel bearings, replaced the brakes twice and now the final overheating. No one including Infiniti of Orland Park who charged me $700.00 for a new after market radiator can figure out the problem. After a diagnostic, technician from Infiniti of Orland Park, IL; said, I need a radiator. I was told an Infiniti radiator would cost me $1200.00 but they can replace my defective one with an after market radiator for only $750.00. I elected to have them replace the radiator with the after market one. After their Technician replaced the (defective?) radiator with the new after market radiator, I received a call from their service writer and he said that the car was still overheating and blowing out cold air.I was told by Infiniti of Orland Park Pros that it would take at least 5 hours of additional labor to figure out the problem. In other words, the attitude was come in and pay us $750.00 for nothing and get your FX35 Infiniti out of here. He also suggested the cars life was over due to the 130,000 miles I had on it.In the mean time I have been driving my beater (183,000 Mile) Ford Expedition that I was forced to buy so that I had a car while 3 auto shops are trying to figure out whats wrong with my very expensive FX35 with the 130,000 miles on it. I am a Sales Trainer for a major Mattress Company and travel throughout the USA educating large groups of Sales Associates. There is not one class that I do not tell this story to. I am and will warn everyone I ever speak to about Infiniti and tell them to never buy or even suggest one to their worst enemy.

Typically we buy Lexus or Audi but decided to go Infiniti this time bought a 2020 QX50. We’ve had this BRAND NEW CAR in the shop 8 times in 14 months each time being assured it’s fixed then it’s back in. Ok things happen so we gave Infiniti the option to just buy us out of the vehicle and we try something else but NO. They feel there’s nothing wrong with a new vehicle requiring this many trips to be repaired. SERIOUSLY? Speaks volumes about the company’s integrity in my opinion. My husband was going to buy me an Infiniti too (we got married April 1st) but after all the headaches of this vehicle I’m going 100% back to Lexus where they value their customers not only during the sell but throughout the entire time. I cannot support a company that cannot accept fault (accidents happen to ALL companies no big deal). It’s completely how the company handles it and this was hands down THE WORSE and they have now lost a life long customer and one that can and will use her voice to tell people what to expect when using Infiniti.

My lease end up on 1/3/20, and I returned the vehicle back to Kings Infiniti. And inspection report was made on 1/10/20. My car was return in perfect normal wear condition (I got pics and kings infiniti disclosure statement to proof), and I got charges for excess wear and use damaged front end total $ 500 something. I contacted the infiniti finance, their excuse was I should done the inspection first before I return to dealer, not the dealer. But I was emailed the AIM inspection company before, and also I got the email said that I can return to dealer first then dealer will arrange them for the inspection. So now, Im in the middle of this situation which no one to discuss with. I on the phone with AIM and Nissan back and forth. And very bad experiences.

Approximately 6/6 times my 2002 Infiniti EX35 has cut off on me while on the road. After approximately 15 minutes, Ill try starting it and it will come back on. Twice my grandkids have been in the car. Luckily, no one has run into me. I have taken the car to Infiniti dealership in South Hills repeatedly and they cant find the problem. The last time I took the car to dealership they put in new sensors. However, it has turned off again. I called the dealership, still waiting on a return call from them. Nothing but problems. This is a serious issue. My family and I can be seriously hurt.

I just bought a new Infiniti 2015 Q50. The car is advertised to give me 19 mpg in city, 29 mpg highway and a combined 22mpg city-highway. This vehicle gives me a highway mpg of 12mpg. I drove the car for 1.5 hr just to test it and it did not improve. I took the car to the dealer I originally bought from and they say that the EPA reviews and that they are not responsible for that review. I believe that is unreal for a car to provide less than half mpg than what it suppose to. I called Infiniti and they said the same thing and only provided me with few tips on how to improve it.Also my front passenger seat makes a weird sound (something loose) when I head a pothole. The dealer said that all Q50 makes the same sound and there is nothing they can do in that case. Its a manufacturer problem. I have been with the car for just a month and I am not happy. I would not recommend purchasing this car. I am paying a lot of money to have this type of issue.

Hi, angry and disappointed Infiniti customer here. I purchased my 2004 Infiniti Fx35 back in 2011. I was very happy with my vehicle until I came back from boot camp. U.S Marines and noticed that my dashboard was bubbling up all over. It look ugly. I feel embarrassed to give people rides. I dont like this car anymore. I did some research about this, and found out that I was not alone. There are hundreds of Infiniti customers who are on the same boat as I am. Most of them took advantage of the extended warranty, which I did not know anything about, did not receive a letter, was not notified until it was already too late.I called my dealership where I bought the vehicle, and they simply said I needed to pay a little over $1,000 to have it replaced. Thats ridiculous! And a little crazy. Like I mentioned above, I am not a happy customer. Called the Infiniti customer affairs number, and they were not willing to help with this matter issue. Case closed. Im screwed.

I purchased a used 2004 G35 Coupe about a year ago. Just found it on a lot and loved the look and it had extremely low miles. It looks and rides fabulous. It’s got a lot of go when you need it. For a 6 cup anyway. Got rear ended and not a scratch. The front end got clipped at an intersection and Im amazed at how little damage there was. Seems to be a really well built vehicle. I’d love to get a newer model, but acted pricey for my budget. Maybe someday.

I have the Infiniti warranty and have taken the car for repair multiple times, contacted the Infiniti Consumer Affairs and tried to come to some sort of resolution or a buy back offer, but have been unsuccessful. I have been a long time loyal Infiniti customer since 1994. I currently own two Infiniti cars and have owned 4 infiniti vehicles so far. But now with this lack of resolution of such basic quality problems in a luxury brand, has left me wondering if I should switch brand to one that would support their loyal customers.

I purchased my Infinity G37 convertible from Infiniti of Dayton. After that, the following has occurred: Airbag system required replacement twice; engine light is on constantly, requiring replacement of parts; passenger door windows leaked every time it rained; rubber sealing slid from the rear of trunk and spoiler required replacement; the convertible top wouldnt go up; door locks not working (required taking off entire door and changing panel); and both front windows went down on their own, causing my car to be full of ice/water/snow.Also, the following happened: check engine light comes on regularly (I found the gas cap loose, and the bad part is I had to order a new gas cap twice.) and a small leak was found; drivers side door rattles (I found 2 loose bolts that secure the air bags.); the battery was replaced after only 16,000 miles due to bad code; trunk smashed on my fingers (After losing blood, I had no option but to rip my hand out of the slammed trunk, causing permanent nerve damage in my right ring finger and back pain for the past 5 weeks. Findings include weak rear trunk shocks, and I replaced all shocks and added two other parts.); and after car was returned two days later, the convertible top would not open. So the car went in again, and the entire electrical system had to be replaced. My car has been in the shop 23 times in only 16,000 miles. It has added 80 miles round trip to my odometer. Infiniti corporate refused to consider this car a lemon and has determined they will not allow a trade-in! I have had one emergency hospital visit and two orthopedic appointments. I have not been able to take care of my house and have had to pay others to do my usual activities. This is a crime! I will be suing for lemon law and personal injury.

They are a liar. Their mentality of conducting business with consumer were very unethical. Ive leased and purchased vehicle from Mercedes, BMW and Lexus luxury vehicle, but my experience with Infiniti service is the worst. They dont honor their words, they mislead you. Theyll be nice to you at first when you are shopping their vehicle. As soon as the documents are signed, money been paid, then you are nobody to them. They only see the money sign on your face. You would think that oh, you got a luxury vehicle from them, their service should be much better. WRONG. Infiniti is not in any level of comparing with Mercedes, BMW or even Lexus. Whoever had already purchase/lease a car from them, good luck and I sympathy for you. Whoever plan to purchase/lease a vehicle from them, think twice and definitely look elsewhere. Honestly, I can wait for my lease to be over. I will never want to deal with them anymore. I will give Infiniti a minus star.

Ive owned my QX60 for less than three months and after less than 3k miles the bottom portion of the drivers seat no longer heats or cools, however, the back part does. I took it for warranty work to the Infiniti dealership in Silver Spring, MD and they told me that the seat immediately worked for them which I know is a lie because amazingly it didnt work after I got back in the car. They said they hooked it up to the computer and the computer showed it was working properly, however, they never showed me the computer results nor did they show me that the seat worked. In addition to the seat not working properly the rear windshield sprayer was clogged and they blamed it on the dealership who sold it to me. They unclogged it, but it still doesnt spray, it just shoots out washer fluid. Buying this vehicle was a waste of my money and I shouldve known better than to purchase another Nissan product considering I owned an Altima several years ago and the alternator went bad with only 30k miles. In addition, the CD player in the Altima would jam anytime a CD with a paper label on it was put in it. They replaced the CD changed once, but the 2nd time it happened it was out of warranty and they wouldnt replace it. Based on that I should never have purchased another Nissan product and I wont ever again. The only reason I didnt purchase an MDX is because it cost several thousand more, but it wouldve been worth paying the extra thousands because thats probably what Ill spend on the QX60 after the warranty is up.

Got this JX35 in November of 2013 and have had the following issues with less than 30k miles on the car. Door molding was falling off so it was replaced as the plastic was bowed. Both sun visors fell down and were replaced with new ones. Roof rail seals came out and when I asked the dealer to pop it back in, they told me the whole rail had to be replaced. The instrument cluster and dashboard shut down and restart while driving. And it is very noticeable at night or early morning as I have no gauges to follow in the dark. So the navigation computer was replaced but has not resolved the issue yet and the dealer doesnt know what to do with it. The transmission was very sluggish and when I asked the dealer to check I got a call that it has to be replaced and it was. Now, 5k miles later its doing it again. There have been a couple of recalls in the middle, with recalls on the recalls as the service adviser put it, so they have replaced a bunch of door latches on the car again and again. The latest one is my key. Neither key will work, so I cannot get in the car using the key-less feature and I have a very hard time starting the car even when I hold the key near the start button. The GM at the dealer claims they have informed Infiniti Corporation and I have been waiting for a response for 9 months now! In summation, if I can get in the car and get it started, I may get stuck on the road in the middle of the night with a broken transmission while not knowing where I am or which way to go because all of my instruments have stopped working. Other drivers wont help because the pieces falling off my car has damaged their car and they are angry. At this point, Infiniti is jeopardizing my life and life of others around me very frequently and without remorse. I guessing this will qualify as a lemon but have to check with a lawyer!

Terrible experience altogether. The Infiniti vehicle I leased didnt impress me at all especially for the money I was paying for it. The customer service was terrible. The hidden fees were added. $500 charges for two minor scratches. Deposition fee that I never agreed to and found out that they were added to my contract only in the end of my lease. So after my 39 months lease was over, Infiniti sent me invoice for another $1000. Their customer service is useless. They dont care about customer satisfaction and brand reputation, they care only about money. I will never ever again purchase or lease Infiniti or Nissan vehicle. After being informed that there was an extended warranty issued and Infiniti would fix my dashboard, I called, the representative told me to get a work order from the dealer and it would be taken care of. I got the work order and called Infiniti Consumers back. I spoke with a different representative and he said he would open a case and I should receive a call from someone within two business days. He also noted that he seriously doubted that they would do anything because the warranty expired in November 2012. I received a call that same evening. Of course they told me the same thing he said. I was told that they sent out letters from their office to many address on file. Which she couldnt give to me. That was strange. My address should have been updated in their system since I frequent the Infiniti Dealer for regular maintenance. I was also surprised that this was never brought to my attention by the Dealership. For Infiniti to be luxury automotive dealer, they dont value the relationships of their customers. I was never notified of this cosmetic issue and did not receive adequate details on why. I bought a preowned infiniti from Red Noland Infiniti and within 3 weeks it would randomly not start. After spending over 40 days total in their service dept they could not diagnose or fix the issue. Finally after 11 months of ownership and 57 total days in service, Mike Ward Infiniti came up with at least an idea of the problem. However, it is several hundred dollars and may not even be the actual issue. Red Noland told me it was not covered under warranty or the warranty that came with the car. After the 4th attempt at repairing they offered me 40% less than I paid for the car after a few months of very stressful ownership. (Imagine going somewhere, the store or hiking, and your car wont start for over an hour when you get back to it). Infiniti consumer affairs has been less than helpful as well the only competent people are at Mike Ward in highlands ranch. I have had two arbitration cases open with infiniti and even with the bbb, however since the car is over a year old, but still under warranty, they refused to do anything to fix the situation. I have owned 3 infinitis the last 5 years, 2 g35xs, and a q40, and I will never give Infiniti or Nissan another dime for a car! Infiniti FX35 2006 the worst car I have ever owned - Within the first 80 mph, we drove after leaving the Infiniti of Chantilly, VA dealership. We began experiencing electrical issues with all of the instrument gauges that was not working, the cruise control kicked off and we had no brake or tail lights. Of course by this time the dealership was closed. A week later I was heading to meetings in Charlottesville,VA where they arranged to bring me a car and haul my dream car to Richmond for service. Another week later, they delivered the car back to me in WV. A couple months later, the rear back up camera and cruise control began not working again. Then to Charlotte, NC Infiniti, we have to arrange over night stays since nothing ever gets fixed in one day. WV does not have an Infiniti dealership. It is smart on their part as the extended warranty I bought has been the only saving grace. We have had to get a new windshield for the front as it just split one day, but of course that was not caused by the vehicle even though the bolts in the fender wells keep breaking loose and have been recalled for a flexing problem. The laser has been replaced, that controls the driving distance between cars for the cruise control, as it would stop you in the middle of the interstate driving 70 mph. The front lane change sensor has been replaced as it beeped constantly even in the middle of a black top road with no stripes. The whole dash bubbled and it was replaced. Both airbags have gone out twice now and sensors are replaced. Yet again, it was just fixed a month ago and I have no functioning air bags again. The back glass with defroster has been replaced because the defroster quit working. A while ago, new navigation system and new back up camera have been installed and is flickering again on the screen and changing from yellow lettering to blue and the camera just goes black when put into reverse! The drivers seat is so broken down now and it is uncomfortable to even sit in. The seat heater gets so hot as it almost burns through your cloths!Infiniti has been contacted with the representative Holly, that we were assigned. The consumer affairs in VA where we purchased the car with 9800 miles certified per-owned, and also consumer affairs in WV. The only offer we have received is that Infiniti will give us a lifetime warranty! I guess Infiniti really thinks that its okay that their product is a total joke and we can afford to spend $500 every time we take off from work and drive a minimum of 3 hours and pay out gas to try and get it repaired, which of course has never been repaired correctly or I wouldnt be so frustrated! What a joke. Why is Consumer Affairs blowing off issues like this? We filed a complaint prior to the two-year statue of limitations, but nothing has been done. Holly with Infiniti had closed out our case. We had it reopened and once again we will call you within three days. It has been over 4 weeks and they are not even returning our calls! At this point, I just want to give them back their lemon as I am a tired of working 60 hours a week, and I dont even know if my car will start up whenever I leave my office. And on top of that, I pay over a $750 car payment a month. What is that for? A Nissan product that is such a total piece of crap. Shame on you Infiniti/Nissan. Its no wonder why there are like 15 of these brand new which are still sitting on the lot at Infiniti of Charlotte. Good luck giving them away. I am very angry about poor customer service, as a consumer. And the lack of concern from Infiniti is making such terrible products.

I bought the Q70 for its features but the exterior is nothing special. The car is very average looking and doesnt inspire the same excitement that a Mustang or Corvette would. The car is usually used just for commutes to work so the five person passenger capacity is more than I need. When I have given rides, passengers were comfortable and had space for themselves. There are so many upgrade features! The heated seats, navigation AND weather, and voice recognition are so amazing to have. Ive become so spoiled by the heated steering wheel, especially on these frosty winter mornings! The radar comes in handy, and the rear camera, and makes parking less worrisome. I have to even say the Boss speakers have converted me into a radio listener. Such a great sound. Infiniti has sedans, SUVs, and huge SUVs. The sedans are a bit flashy, I loved the feel of them but they made me feel old! Haha! But I had loved the Infiniti QX4 for a long time before I bought one. I was having a new baby and I wanted a safe form of transportation. My QX4 had all the fun and luxury features I was looking for - heated seats, sun roof, and a nice look to it. I loved it. It was basically a suped up pathfinder, but the colors I just loved. I had a two toned QX4 and leather interior. It lasted me a long time. When I bought the truck it was as is, no immediate personalization. But I had a few things done to it, tinted the windows and changed the interior. My truck was good for a family of four, lots of storage and room. I probably would have liked a third back seat, but then I would lose storage space.

About a 45 days ago I took my 2009 Infiniti g37 convertible, market value of car $17500 to Passport Infiniti of Suit Land Maryland for repairs on convertible top not operating. The service department checked the top out and said total cost to repair top would cost $8900, to my surprise I debated the cost and indicated to the service manager the car was not in a accident. How could this be possible? I stated to the service manager I found the hydraulic motor for the convertible top for a price of $750. He replied they change out every part related to the hydraulic motor hose lines fluid everything. I stated, This is ridiculous and how can you pick up the phone and call a customer and tell them the cost to repair your top will be $8900 and the vehicle is only worth around $17000? Of course I got the same response.I also stated, The replacement engine for the car that propels the car down the street at 150 mph would only cost $5000, please explain to me how the motor that raises the convertible top cost $8900? Crickets. Any way I end up taking the car to Germain Auto Group of Springfield VA. They fixed the top including the parts for $1900. Now you see why I had to blog about this. Oh and by the way I called Infiniti Corporate. They were not forth coming with any solutions other than trading the car in. Go figure. Nice car, bad custom service company. If youre thinking about buying a convertible hardtop Infiniti g37 be aware if something goes wrong with that top the cost to fix through Infiniti is all most impossible.

I was clear with my salesperson that I couldnt afford a payment over 500.00
I was clear with my salesperson that I couldnt afford a payment over 500.00. I was clear about all that I wanted on my car & was told it had it. Lies!! While sitting down with my salesperson I gave him a list of my must haves. He stated the car had all the bells & whistles. It does not have what I wanted. I also stated that I had a budget of no more than 500 for a car payment. After agreeing to a price Im sent to the finance person who tells me, not asked me if I wanted this additional insurance. I go back to the salesperson who says I dont know but you agreed to this extra insurance. I never did because I was not asked. I was very clear that as a recent cancer survivor I have expenses that must be paid for and that I had a strict budget of 500.00. Then the car was disgusting!! It smelled of cigarettes and I could not believe this was not addressed prior to showing me the car. Did I mention I am a cancer survivor!?? The car was so filthy that when we opened the sunroof leaves and what have you fell in the car. I then had a temporary plate that expired. I called the dealership approximately 10 times that day to ask what am I supposed to do?? My husband is ** and I certainly did not want him getting pulled over!! Starbucks, shooting unarmed ** men etc... The manager never would return my calls that day, The receptionist stated she recognized my name from calling so many times that day and would walk my message over to him. Never once did he call or step out to apologize to me once I arrived. I insisted on speaking to a manager since I was now driving with an expired temporary tag. I was then introduced to the finance manager who stated that this was a bad day because they were in meetings all day. I then explained what my issues were with the finance guy and how I was never given the option to accept the insurance but rather told that this was what my payment was. She then tells me she cannot cancel it to make my payment lower but that I can have the amount deducted to the entire amount at the end. My payment stays the same but it will be less from the total. I then took the car in to be cleaned from the awful smoke smell and to be detailed. The smell is gone but the car was not detailed at all. The service guy came out and said, Yeah this is disgusting. The car wasnt even wiped down properly. Finally, I then had to take it in for an oil change!!! How does it need an oil change and I just purchased it.I ABSOLUTELY REGRET PURCHASING THIS CAR!! I WISH I NEVER STOPPED BY THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I am and have been so stressed out that now I am on blood pressure medication because I dont know if I will be able to make the car payments. Medicine or car payment!!! I hate the fact that as a woman I was taken advantage of!!!Consumers Desired Resolution: I want the finance genius at Infiniti to find a way to bring my payment down to 500.00 a month or take the car back. Let me out of this contract so I cannot feel like I am overwhelmed and deciding between paying for my medication or making a car payment. On May 25, 2018 I received a voicemail from Bobby, the general manager from Tampa Infiniti. In his voicemail he stated he wanted to address my complaint to BBB. I returned his call on May 26, 2018 and he made an offer to me of a new car with a $50.00 decrease in my payments that is a lease. He stated the car was a Q 30, which is a much smaller car than what I presently have. I stated that car he was offering was too small for my family and me and that the consumer ratings were not positive. I then offered to come in to discuss the matter in person and he asked if I could wait and come in after the Memorial Holiday weekend because he expected to be busy. I stated that I completely understood and would come in on May 29 @ 3:00. I arrived today and Bobby insisted that according to the paperwork I agreed to the payment by initialing or signing. I repeated that I was not denying that I signed the paperwork but that I felt I was deceived. I repeated just as I did on the day I went to purchase the vehicle, to the BBB and over the telephone I was adamant of what I could afford due to my health. I was not impressed that he was making me an offer for a new car!! Maybe if I was 20 years old I would jump by hearing NEW, well Im not!!! I am almost 50 years old and at this time NEW was not going to make me take the vehicle just because it was new. This is my first time purchasing a used vehicle. Lesson learned!!! Bobby however, insisted that I agreed to the amounts because he had the paperwork in front of him. Again, I stated I was never asked if I wanted the additional insurances, rather I was told. Bobby even had the audacity to tell me No you knew, and the finance man asked me and I agreed. I was not asked but told. I even explained that I went back to the salesman to ask how did my payment increase and he stated he had no clue but he came back to me and stated I asked for the insurances and I was aware. NO I DID NOT know or was even explained to!!! My question to Bobby is, Were you there? Bobby and I know he was not there, so how can he be so adamant that I was explained to about the insurances. I then told Bobby that I thought he wanted to help me but it was obvious he had no intention of helping me but to humiliate me by repeatedly telling me I signed the paperwork. I stated due to my diagnosis of breast cancer and the stress that was being brought upon, I needed to avoid the stress he attempted to give me and I refused to be belittled. His efforts were a waste of time for both of us and that I was leaving. I immediately left. Infiniti has certainly lived up to the reputation of being barbaric hyenas with no morals!! This has certainly been a learning experience for me and I plan on telling every person I know to never ever do business with Infiniti of Tampa Bay. I will certainly tell every teacher I work with to NEVER EVER do business with Infiniti Tampa Bay. Then as I was leaving I bumped into Nick who sold me the car and he couldnt even speak or look me in my face. Guilt!!! Or maybe not since he is a part of the hyenas team. I would have been willing to walk away with an older vehicle or any other vehicle comparable to what I have now and that would give me the payment I asked for when I walked into the dealership. It is my feeling Bobby only read that I wanted a lower payment and not that I felt taken advantage of and that the reputation of car salesmen truly live up to their rumored names. I know I should have never agreed to the payments that was not what I knew I could afford. I guess I will have to only purchase my cancer medications when the money becomes available. And by the way Bobby, thank you for wasting my time today that I cannot get back. I pray no one you know would have to make that decision of purchasing their medication only when they can afford it.

I leased an Infiniti JX35 on July 13, 2013. I absolutely loved the vehicle
I leased an Infiniti JX35 on July 13, 2013. I absolutely loved the vehicle up until February of 2015. In February, I noticed the brake pedal would occasionally sink down almost to the floor when stopping. The pedal would also from time to time start sinking down when I was stopped at a traffic light or stopped In traffic. The car would start to roll if I didnt continue to apply more pressure to the pedal when I was stopped. The real concern was that the brake problem was intermittent, it didnt happen consistently. In February 2015, I took the vehicle to the dealership and they said there was a problem with the Master cylinder, so they replaced it. Upon receiving the car back, the brakes operated normally for only a week. After one week the brake problem returned. I called the dealership and they asked me to bring the car in as soon as I can, so I did in March 2015. The dealership claims they could not get the brakes to repeat this problem. I was now even communicating with the shop foreman, who said to me one time he felt something happen similar to what I was saying, but it happened only once. I went back and forth with the dealership in March. In April, they received authorization to change the ABS controller. After changing the abs controller, the brake problem appeared to be gone. The brake problem returned again in August of 2015 and again of course it is intermittent. It doesnt happen when Im stopped anymore, it just happens when Im stopping. If I dont continue to increase the pressure I apply to the brakes when they sink the car will not stop. The dealership took the car in, kept it for over a week, changed the brake pads and said they could not repeat the problem. They even told me at one time that this is the way the brakes operate on these vehicles. I immediately responded by informing them that these brakes did not operate like this the first 1 1/2 years I was driving it. My daughter drives my car frequently and she even came to me and asked me why do the brakes get so soft occasionally. I chose Infiniti because of their advertised HIGH standards of excellence. Theyre supposed to compare in quality to Lexus, Acura and Mercedes. Well, Ive owned 3 Mercedes in my lifetime and their customer service and quality is second to none. My face to face customer service experience with KM Infiniti has been good, however, they have not been able to fix the issues with my JX35. The quality of this vehicle is on the same level as a Nissan. Not only have had issues with the brakes, but Ive had the rubber gasket on the roof rack come loose, Ive had to replace the driver side sun visor.I chose this car because I wanted a car I could depend on when my grandchildren get into it. I wanted a car I could have confidence in for safety. I have just about every option available on this car and thought it would be a safe car for my family to drive in. As it stands now I am extremely dissatisfied with this car and it doesnt appear Infiniti knows how to fix it! This car is a Lemon!

Decent amount of models but need more in the large sedan category and more
Decent amount of models but need more in the large sedan category and more sport type cars would be nice. The large SUVs look like a remake of the Nissans. Though I know both are owned by the same there needs to be a difference if someone is going to be paying a higher price. The front looks amazing. Just looks like its angry and is ready to go. The on-board navigation and the whole system though is bad. The infotainment system Infiniti needs to be revamped because it is slow and old. The upgrade options are a little pricey but not as bad as other dealers. Some are worth it like going to the premium but the personalization could be better on them. Back seats have decent amount of leg room though me being a tall guy the person behind me can become squished between the seat. Plus when I get out, the auto bring the seat back can make it even worse and I have to manually stop it.

I purchased a 2014 Infiniti q50 in February 2014. It FLOATS/DRIFTS/TRAVELS across lanes BOTH directions even when the steering wheel is level and straight. I notice it more on the freeway however, it does it in the city as well. I took it into the dealership in May to have the issue looked at by the local Infiniti dealership. They say they cant find anything wrong. I took it back to the dealership again in May 2014 (Memorial Day weekend) and wanted a Master Tech to ride with us, he rode with us and saw the issue more than once however, decided that it needed an alignment which is crap (It wouldnt travel in both directions!)!! The car had 3000 miles on it and needed an alignment??? Ok so, they did an minor alignment but, it still drifts/floats and travels across both lanes without any help. I have to constantly actively steer the vehicle to keep it in the lane! My local dealership tells me that they cant find anything mechanically wrong with the vehicle. I was told by the local dealership Manager that they were instructed by NISSAN/INFINITI Corp NOT to work on my vehicle until the Infiniti engineer comes out to drive the vehicle on 6/24 however, based on all of the negative comments about, I doubt that he will help me. Do I hear Class Action?? ? I traded in my 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe that I had bought used and NEVER had any problems with for this piece of crap! My Intouch Apps have never worked correctly. The backup camera doesnt work until you put the car in reverse 3 times, my dual screens have locked up 5 times and will not correct themselves unless you pull the vehicle over and turn off the car and turn it back on. My Oil & Filter light came on at 3499 miles and the first Oil/Filter change isnt until 5000 miles!! ! I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THIS VEHICLE!! I have told the dealership Manager and Consumer Affairs that I DO NOT feel SAFE in this vehicle! I purchased this vehicle because we are having another grandchild which means that her car seat wouldnt fit in the coupe. I WILL NOT ALLOW MY granddaughters or my pregnant daughter in this vehicle!!!

This is in reply to Glenn of Orland Park. I too own a 2003 Infiniti FX35. I too have the same over-heating problems with my vehicle. Infiniti will not do a darn thing about it because they already know of the problem. It is inherent in most 2003 Model FX35s. 1st Model release and build. It is the head gaskets. Low block! It is exactly why Infiniti acts like they cannot diagnose or replicate the condition. They drag and drag running up the bill and they play stupid. A simple radiator pressure test will immediately reveal the flaw. But they dont want to be the ones who conduct that test and reveal this condition to you. Take it to a radiator specialist. You will get your proof! Their only recommendation is to replace the engine! At close to a $ 10,000.00 fix. This is totally unacceptable! I would just love to partake in a class action suit against these imbeciles. Please do not waste any time or money trying to diagnose the problem gentlemen. It is on every Infiniti blog you will find. Good luck to all whom own these vehicles. I know that I am not alone. This should be a zero rank to Infiniti, but this site will not allow it. : (

I leased an Infiniti 37G in 2014. My lease expired in September of this year, I visited the dealership where I had leased the car the first week of August and inquired about buying a new Infiniti AWD. I contacted the dealer several times trying to get cost and payment terms. I received two quotes, both with very different figures and payment terms. I contacted the dealer a final time the third week of September and told the salesman I had to have the information within the next two days in order to process everything before the lease expired. When I did not hear from him, I purchased another vehicle from a different dealer.I then called to make arrangements to return the leased Infiniti and was told the only person who did that was out with an infected arm. I was told he would be given a message to call me when he returned. I still have not heard from him and it is now the middle of October. I returned the car to a different dealership. Now after two months I have been unable to get Infiniti to release interest in my Personalized tags and have had to buy new tags for the car I purchased. Based on my experience, I would never recommend leasing or buying from Infiniti.

I have a 2008 G37 under warranty until 9/17/2012. My drivers side floor was experiencing a leak. When I went to the Infiniti dealership of Manhattan, I was informed that the car door had either been worked on or it had been into an accident (an accident on the top of the front door? Pretty sure the Mr. ** was making up excuses to charge me). Mr. ** then proceeded to say that the window is not put in the right spot and is very complicated to get it fixed. The cost was going to be $285. I declined as I see this as red flag. He then told me I have to pay the $139 diagnostic fee, which is unacceptable. I was in no mood to get cheated as I see this as one. I then told him I did not have the means to pay for it. Luckily, he was nice enough to take care of that for me. This company policy practice is unfriendly. How can a luxury brand like Infiniti have such poor customer service?

I own a used 2003 Infiniti G35, unlike many of the other problems people have posted about the newer Infinitis breaking down, this ones a little different. I am truly sorry that so many people have had so many problems with this car company, I mean look at their rating. I am giving 2 stars ONLY because before this I really havent had many issues with the car besides for regular maintenance. About a week ago my car started to stall out on me, the steering wheel would lock up and my dash slip and VDC off lights would come on. It would also be a challenge to get it restarted, a few minutes setting did the trick. The first time it stalled was on the highway, which was extremely scary and luckily I was in the right-hand lane and able to pull over to the side of the road. The reason for this review is because I brought my car to my local mechanic as quick as I could, he checked it out and told me I needed both of my Camshaft sensors replaced. A whopping $792.60, mind you I am 23 years old, thats a lot of money to me. Its a lot of money to most people. I did some research and found out that The 2003-2008 Infiniti G35 models were SAFETY recalled for these exact sensors. So I thought to myself how great it was that I could bring it into an Infiniti shop to have it fixed for nothing, since it is a SAFETY recall, and there are no time limits on getting a car fixed for SAFETY recalls. Apparently I was informed that the sensors for my car were discontinued 5 years ago, which was 2010, meaning only 7 years later did they stop fixing this particular safety recall. I was told that they could not work on my car because they could not get the INFINITI sensors and they could not work on my car with the aftermarket sensors. That is ridiculous, what if someone rear-ended me at 70 mph on the highway and killed me because my car stalled and died? Have people been injured by this before? Do owners of Infinitis of certain ages not matter anymore? Do they only care about the people spending 40 and 50 grand on the 2014 and 15s? I have called and was told that my car is no longer under warranty, obviously, I knew that. But like I said earlier SAFETY RECALLS do not have expiration dates because they put peoples lives in danger. So I had to pay the $792.60 bill to my mechanic for something Infiniti couldve (shouldve) fixed for free. I have an open case for a call this Monday to see if they can reimburse me my almost 800 bucks for something which was out of my control. I was told it was highly unlikely because of my vehicles age. I would AT LEAST like to get reimbursed my 389 dollars for the parts. If I do not get reimbursed I am going to put a story about this into my local news station who specializes in things like these. Maybe theyll take interest and put Infiniti on blast to the world. How many people have they done this to? Have people been killed or injured because of them not fixing this SAFETY DEFECT? Not every 23-year old has $800 to fix their car and could take it from the mechanic without being fixed only to have it die again and may seriously injure them. This is completely irresponsible. Based on the companys rating on this site Im sure these complaints arent uncommon.

The Infiniti QX60 has great safety features, but the Navigation/Bluetooth is still in the ox-cart Stone Age. Getting driving instructions also slow and tedious, compared to GMC Onstar, which answers the phone immediately, compared to long wait with Infiniti. And, GMC downloads instructions immediately, compared to tedious, roundabout method with Infiniti. If it were not for the excellent features, I would stick GMC and OnStar, which are far superior to Infiniti.

My 2013 Infiniti JX35 has been at the dealer since May 30th. Twice as I was driving, the IBA (Intellect Brake Assist) engaged and stopped my car and pulled my seat belt tight. There were no cars coming toward me both times. If a car was driving too close behind me, they would have hit me with the kids in the car. It was the first car in the nation to do this, so technicians from Bosch and Infiniti have flown out several times to try and fix the problem. It happened to them too while driving it too. They said it was too much metal on the bridge I was on and the system thought it was another car about to hit me. They are now trying to update the software. Do I really want to rely on software to drive my car safely? Infiniti Consumer Affairs are the most rude, discourteous people I have come across. They said I would have an answer in 5-10 days. It took three weeks. They did not return one phone call. I had to beg an agent to put me through to a supervisor because my agent didnt call me back in a week. Ridiculous. Finally, yesterday after calling back again to see if there was an answer, I was declined. I wanted my full money back and to get back into a QX56 (what I owned previously). I called the BBB. Infiniti does not back up their cars.

Whether you are interested in a sport package, cold weather package, family upgrades, you will be able to find what you are looking for. There is also very good customer service throughout the life of the car you purchase. My Infiniti (which was an FX 35) was the first five passenger vehicle I had ever ridden in that was actually comfortable for all 5 of the passengers. The design and feel of the seats was only to be believed when ridden in. Infiniti has a distinctive luxury look. With my multiple visits in an Infiniti service department, I have not felt as disappointed and appalled with the customer service that I received as I did at Cerritos Infiniti. Instead of helping me understand what is going on with my car and empathize how concerning how my car performed last night while I was driving with my 2 yr. old and both my parents, I felt confronted and castigated and offended. I brought my car in for an oil and filter change and a multi-point inspection last Dec. 28 and as I was driving my car yesterday, the car jerked multiple times as I accelerate.I bring my car to Infiniti for service because of the level of trust that I have with them. But the attitude that Tony ** showed was very unprofessional and demeaning. I work in a hospitality industry and train employees how to treat a customer to provide excellent service and I do know how a TERRIBLE customer service feels like. I would hope Tony would show a bit more compassion and concern than show arrogance and be spite to their customers. I had to bring my husband to his office for him to understand what my concerns are with Infiniti service but apparently he still didnt seem to understand that we are just looking for a simple, outstanding customer service and experience.I am afraid that with this persons show of character and lack of customer empathy, I had changed my mind from trusting Infiniti service and vehicles and would rather go to another higher end, top notch customer rating car makers. I have gone to other Infiniti locations and everyone I dealt with were extremely friendly and very compassionate with their customers. My husband ended up pulling our car out of their service department and brought it someplace else that would really take care of our concern and get a better treatment.

Im in the used car business for over 30 years. We sell on average 60 cars a month. I bought this vehicle 6 months ago for my wife for her birthday. She rides in the same car for 2 years or more as I do too. I noticed online that Infiniti has had a big problem with 2012 Infiniti QX56 white and some consumers are getting Infiniti to fix them. We took hers to the dealer last week. They kept it for 3 days. Then they called and said that there was nothing they could do. the vehicle was 1 owner with no accidents when I purchased it for her. Im sure they refused because its not titled in a individuals name.It would be one thing if I had it on my lot to retail. I have a lot of friends call me and ask whats a good vehicle to buy. Through the years I have taken many vehicles to new car dealers cars that I bought to sell that they did customer satisfaction work on. After this Im done suggesting Infiniti automobiles and I will tell them all how I was treated by them. Also there is a class action suit in the works over this which I will be joining against my good judgment. Lawyers always get the money but I want Infiniti to pay.

In a two-month span of time my Infiniti G37x seem to have sudden and explained acceleration. On the first occasion, I, Mark **, was the driver. I took the vehicle to a carwash. At the end of the wash I was waived forward by the guys who towel dry the vehicle. As I stepped on the accelerator the vehicle shot forward at a high rate of speed. I was surprised but blew it off as a fluke. Approximately one month later my wife was driving the vehicle. She was a red light; as the light started to turn green she moved her foot from the brake to the gas pedal and the vehicle again took off at a high rate of speed. Its not the kind of thing that happens regularly, so its difficult to know if its a real problem or human error. Frankly, after it happened with my wife I was really concerned because she is an extremely careful driver. Truth be told, she drives quite slowly.I would like to have the vehicle checked out and perhaps have the black box read to see if there is a sudden acceleration problem. Im not sure who or where I should go to have this matter fairly examined and if there is an independent body who evaluate complaints of this nature. As a direct consequence the vehicle was involved in an accident (second acceleration), resulting in approximately twenty thousand dollars in damage to my vehicle and additional damage to other vehicles and property. The vehicle went from a complete stop, traveled about 100 feet striking another vehicle at speeds in excess of 50 mph. In the first incident at the carwash, one employee jumped out of the way and I managed to bring the vehicle to a quick stop.

Infiniti is the luxury brand of Nissan. They are very sporty looking, have leather seats and power everything. The seats are heated, key fob only needed to start vehicle if near, and Bose speakers. The G35 and G37 are what I know most. They are 2 or 4 door sorry, powerful cars. They are rear-wheel drive so caution on rainy or slick roads. There are others including SUV-type vehicles and they are all luxurious. Also, the upgrade options are better wheels, upgraded sound system, GPS, warranty, satellite radio, internet access, auxiliary ports for your phone or iPod, Bluetooth access, boosted engine. With my particular vehicle - the G35 - I have frustratingly small passenger capacity. This is a smaller car and I knew that when I bought it. I also am a bit claustrophobic so Im sure that is part of it. My 2-door seats 4. We have had so many problems with our 2013 JX35 and are so disappointed in the quality of this car. It started with airbag problems and being told by the service department that it was operating normally. We took pictures and videos of the way it was operating and still we were told it was working as it was designed to. Finally looked up recalls myself and found where a recall had indeed been issued. I called our service advisor and he was totally unaware of this. Sad that a customer has to bring such an important matter to the people we trust with servicing our cars. When Infiniti of Gwinnett obtained the new part, it was installed but we continued to experience the same problem. We took the car in again and they said they had made an adjustment and we should have no more issues with it. Nope, problem was still there. Again we took videos and pictures for them. We were informed that everything had been checked and it was working as it should. Frustrated, we bypassed the dealership and reported it directly to Infiniti. Infiniti did send a company engineer to look at it. When I met him at the dealership, he immediately started lecturing me as to the dangers of airbag deployment, how it was the last resort in a collision, etc. He even showed me a 5-minute video describing the danger. I again stated that I knew the airbag wasnt operating correctly because it would go on and off intermittently. He said it could be from the way we were sitting in the seat. Sounded a little ridiculous to me, as if they were just trying to make a different argument every time they were challenged. I said I would not drive the car unless it was fixed. He did some calibrations and we have had no problems since. Other issues with the car includes leak above drivers door (tube running down from sunroof was not connected at the factory). Rubber on passenger side roof line came out (also done improperly at the factory), entire piece of the side where it was coming out had to be replaced and repainted. Have a continuous rattle coming from around the sunroof. We have had it in the shop no less than five times and is currently there again. We are being told that the magnets between the cross bars and the sunroof are too small and they are going to have to replace them. This last time a representative came and rode with me so they could verify the rattle. It was noted by her and taken to the dealership. They called three days later and said it had been fixed. She was on her way to drop it off when she heard the rattle so she turned around and took it back. Currently, I have not had my car for over a week. Also while they were trying to locate the problem, they found a loose bolt in the console (again something not done properly at the factory). It speaks to the amount of time that my car has been in the shop when they are coming to me to pick up the car for repairs. This last time they brought me the QX60 as a loaner car. I noticed immediately that the transmission is much smoother on it. My JX acts like it is always searching for the right gear the tach revs up and drops quickly and revs again. I talked to them about the significant difference and the mantra was Its operating as it should. They stated maybe the CVT may have been tweaked some on the newer cars. Its very obvious to me that this car is a lemon. Dealer said they could do nothing for us as far as replacement. The General Sales Manager said they could possibly give us the trade in value and sell us a vehicle (if the salesman agreed) at dealer cost. He stated that was as much as they could do so therefore, I am going to file paperwork under the Georgia Lemon Law. Bottom line, I strongly suggest that the Infiniti JX35 not be purchased. It is also worth noting that they have replaced the JX35 (after only one year) with the QX60. Rebranding maybe? Could it be due to problems with the JX35? Just very odd, dont you agree?

Bought a Certified Pre-owned Infiniti Qx56 - great vehicle! Also purchased an extended warranty which has 115,939 miles printed as the expiration. A short while after the purchase the driver seat started to wiggle in certain positions thus we asked the dealer to check it out. Was advised that the seat was not broken. We would have to pay for them to check it now or wait till it actually broke and then see if the item which failed was covered under the warranty! The foam cover on the head sets started to peel off and we wanted to buy new covers. Was told that they could not be sold separately thus we had to purchase new head sets. Pointed out that same was covered under the warranty but was advised that since it was the foam covers which gave out and the head sets was still working they were not covered under the warranty. The rubber cover on the stepping rail started to peel off - again we understood same to be covered but were told that it was only the actual running board which was covered and we had to pay for the rubber cover ourselves. Now the exhaust manifold just cracked but this time Infiniti actually confirmed that same is covered under the warranty! Unfortunately, however, they now claim the warranty expired at 100,000 miles and since we have 102,000 miles on the vehicle we have to pay ourselves.Pointed out we had the Elite plan and that it stated the coverage ran till 115,939 miles but they advised that what we had was only an application and that it was a mistake; it read 115939 thus they really could not assist us in this matter. The dealership (not Infiniti) has offered to fix this time provided we also sign a waiver which prevents us from claiming further items under the warranty, which we find a bit much from a so called luxury brand.Aside of the Infiniti, we own a Nissan (same company as far as Im concerned) - have been happy with both vehicles but their customer service leave a LOT to be desired and I would never recommend anybody to spend money on their warranty plans nor expect anything to be covered under same. Needless to mention that we will never own either of said brands again - a shame as they actually do have a nice lineup of vehicles.

I lease my Infiniti QX70 2017 on October 2017. Since then I had very bad experience with their service. It start with the fact that they didnt provide my the additional tool to change my Tire. I waited 3 ours to someone to come and change my tire (I could do it by my self, but I didnt find the special key). When the help arrived he also didnt have the special tool and I was suppose to wait 7 hours for towing. Last week I heard big explosion while driving and the Exhaust fell down.I didnt bump anything!!! And when I went the the Mechanic, they blamed me to bump something and pay 1500$ to replace the exhaust. It was impossible to bump something since the bump was in the posterior part of my exhaust. I try to talk with consumer affairs but they denied my concerns. This for sure my last Infiniti ever. And of curse, all my friends tried to prevent me to lease Infiniti. I feel so bad that I didnt hear to their advice.

I purchased a QX70 in July 2017. I love the car but I started noticing a musty smell when I turned on the A/C about 6 months after I bought. I took the car into the dealership and they told me to changed the cabin filter which I did and to turn off my a/c about a mile before my destination. Ive owned cars for 35 years and Ive never heard of such a thing, especially in Florida. The new filter seemed to help but then the smell came back. My son in law said it smells like an old man with body odor and Ive also heard it smells like rotten onions. I took the car back to the dealership about 6 months later and they did an ozone treatment which didnt really help. I took it back 2 months later after my friends who were visiting from out of town started coughing profusely when they got in the car. Evidently shes allergic to mold. The dealership performed another ozone treatment which didnt help. Infinity supposedly did a mold a test after keeping my car for 3 weeks in the shop. I have not seen the mold test but I can still smell the musty smell. The smell seems to be most noticeable on the passenger side as soon as you turn on the A/C.

Im surprised not to read of more consumer dissatisfaction with Infiniti and their Dealers over the End Of Life of the JX35 and the replacement with an identical vehicle named QX60. I purchased a top of the range new JX35 in early July 2013. Of course , I knew it was a 2013 Model but I was shocked to find out that 3 weeks later (on July 19th) Infiniti replaced the JX35 with the QX60 under model year 2014 , in July 2013! Of course the dealer did not tell me anything about that forthcoming change. In fact they denied that a Hybrid was being released imminently when I specifically asked them about that (I subsequently learned that was announced in a press release in March 2013). I am now on a mission to get out of my JX35. I can only believe that the actions of Infiniti and the surprising behaviors of their authorized dealer will otherwise cost me significantly in 2 or 3 years time when I try and feel or trade in this now obsolete JX35 on a 2013 model purchased in July 2013 when the new QX60 (exact same vehicle, Im sure they changed the badges off vehicles on the sales lot!) was launched 2-3 weeks later as a 2014 model. I mean, if you were shopping for a pre-owned Infiniti, what would you buy?

My review is negative because of the car quality not the overall company because I had a great experience with the local dealer here. Im very disappointed with the QX80 2018: Quality of the backup camera and the 360 degrees cameras, this is by far the worst quality of cameras in the car market! It looks like a camera from 10 years ago. The car loves gas too much, Im averaging 11 miles in the city and 13.5 in the highway, I had big engine cars all my life and this car is the worst in that department. You would expect when you pay over 75k for a car a normal backup camera, thats my biggest complaint with the car!!!

So I purchased my CPO EX35 about 3 years ago. It has 55k miles and has always been garage kept. However the dash has started peeling all over. I took it to the dealer and they submitted the request to Infiniti. After a couple days the dealer called me to say Infiniti denied the request.I have owned several cars over the years and have NEVER had one with peeling like this on the dash. So I contacted Infiniti directly. I played phone tag with their rep for a week and then when I finally spoke with her she said they will look into it. They call me back about a week later and basically tell me Im outta luck and they wont do anything about it.I have since been looking for another used vehicle and whenever I came across another EX35 I would make sure to take a look at the dash. The majority of the EXs I saw has the exact same peeling on the dash. This leads me to believe its definitely a manufacturing issue. They have already had similar issues with the dash on the FX which they did do a recall for. I have also seen it on the dash of G37s. I take very good care of my vehicles and keep them in mint condition so Im very disappointed in Infinitis lack of quality control and customer service. Given this issue (and others Ive had) plus the abysmal resale value, this is my first and probably last Infiniti vehicle.

We purchased a used 2015 QX80 with 65,000 miles on it. We did love the car and was an amazing ride till this week. We had some issues and it was running very rough and the engine light came on. So we had it towed to a local shop and he said the codes it was pulling it was something internal (P0011 & P0021) and we needed to have it looked at from a dealer. So the Local Nissan diagnosed it as stretched timing chains. They said it was right about $4000 to fix it. So this car just has 105,000 miles on it and we paid nearly $38,000 for it. So I have a car that I paid nearly $40,000 dollars for it, I have only put 40 thousand miles on it and I have to put $4,000 into it to get it running. I called the Infiniti Consumer affairs and got nothing but sorry. I explained that I have a stay at home mom with 5 kids and we are on a very tight budget, etc. She then said that I would have to have it towed to Infiniti instead of Nissan???? Same company? They said they cannot have Nissan look at it and this was done by one of their master mechanics. So this means tow it a third time with and pay another diagnose fee for what? Infiniti should step up to the plate here. I asked the girl I spoke with to give me a supervisor and she said there were none. She was reading from a script as you could tell just to get you off the phone. I then asked her how she would feel if you purchased a car for 40,000 dollars and only got 40K out of it and now have to put 4 thousand dollars into it. She said she could not reflect on that? This is what customer service departments have come to? No emotions or anything. Just firmly I cant reflect? I said, (ask your CEO or director how they would feel if their mom of 5 was going through this). Again nothing. After doing research, this is a problem that Infiniti knows about but is doing nothing. Just look around on some blogs and you will find them. As well there are issues with the catalytic converters at $1,300 a piece for both sides. I was just wanting them to do whats right and stand by the product. I am a sales manager that travels the US and trust me that I will share this story with every individual I come in contact with. In my business I tell my people to treat people right and they will come back every time... Treat people like you want to be treated and you just built a successful business. I cannot believe this company and its products. We will never purchase another Infiniti or Nissan and I will make sure my kids remember what we are going through when they make their decisions for a car. I will share this story at every sales meeting, and while visiting clients for sure!!!

I purchased the flagship Infiniti QX56 on March 27th 2017 from an Infiniti Dealership here in the North East. As of today I havent even put 2500 miles on the vehicle and its been the dealers service 3 times. The A.C. fan coupler and battery drain issues. The battery was just installed by the previous owner in 2015 at an Infiniti dealer and clearly reads that it has an 84 month warranty. However, Mandie from Infinitis North East Consumer Affairs Region stated that the battery warranty was only good for the prior customer and does not carry over to me. I would have to purchase a new battery from them for the tune of $180.00. My dispute was it made no sense because if a battery installed by the dealer with a clear record of warranty from Infiniti who cares who owns it 1st, 2nd or 3rd. The warranty should cover the battery not the person. Im not the only person having these battery drain issues and Infiniti is well aware that their vehicles are doing this. A lot of the online blogs Im reading is that the Infiniti has been experiencing issues with their batteries lasting 2 years max then they start dying. I think they should be investigated.

Duped by Infiniti. I purchased a brand new QX80 from my Houston dealer. The car is fantastic. At the time of purchase I was clear that I was likely to move to the UAE after a year or so. They assured me that my vehicle was fit for export and that the UAE Infiniti dealer will take care of me. Lo and behold, I arrived this Jan with my QX80, and the local dealer washed their hands off me, claiming the vehicle electronics is completely and that they will be unable to service or diagnose any issues with the vehicle. I feel my $90k is down the drain. Really disappointed! To make things worse, I wrote to both Infiniti USA as well as Infiniti ME. The US palmed me off to the ME office, and the ME office was not at all responsive. I will ensure to continue using every opportunity to discourage anyone supporting the Nissan and Infiniti brand. I purchased a 2003 Infiniti G35 in 2006. I am having problems as outlined in a recall issued by Infiniti; however, they are telling me that my car is not part of the recall. When I called the dealership, they said that the previous owner had already taken advantage of the recall so if I want the issue resolved, then I have to pay $650. I have already paid for a new air conditioning compressor and a motor for my passenger side window to find out that the issue was with the audio circuit board. The recall said: On some model year 2003 G35 Sedans manufactured through August 21, 2002, the audio and temperature controls may not operate as expected. When using the audio equipment or the temperature controls, the unit may become inoperative. In some cases, this can be corrected by turning the ignition switch off and back on again. In other cases, the unit remains inoperative and requires service by an Infiniti technician. To prevent this condition, Infiniti has initiated a Voluntary Service Campaign to replace the audio finisher circuit board on these vehicles at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. This campaign affects approximately 23,998 Infiniti G35 Sedans in the United States. The notification letter stated: Thank you for your purchase of an Infiniti 2003 G35 Sedan. Infiniti is committed to providing the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction as part of the Total Ownership Experience program. Through our product performance monitoring, we have identified that the audio and temperature controls may, on occasion, not operate as expected. To ensure your satisfaction and to prevent any inconvenience, Infiniti is replacing the component that controls the audio and temperature controls on your vehicle with an improved version. Infiniti is an overpriced luxury. They make minimum number of models and they all look very similar. The cars look a lot like traditional Honda or Toyota. I own a sedan and it comfortably seats 4 adults. The interior options are ok, but the styling is boring. The color choices are also very standard. The car has all the high end features but the performance of these features leaves a lot to be desired. I like a nut not only did I buy one Infinti (QX60) but I bought the second one, a G37. The QX60 a week after I bought the Gas gauge was reading Zero mile with a 1/4 tank of Gas. I got told it was bad gas, then I was told Im driving down hill so that affects it. Then I was told the Infiniti corporate had to assess the SUV. It took them 2 tries and they replaced the entire Gauge system. Then I had issues with the Transmission. Took it countless time and they kept saying that the software needed to be upgraded. After filing a complaint they replaced the Trans and it took over 9 months to get it done. Then I bought a G37 certified. I thought buying a certified would get me a better value and it would be reliable. It started to leak Differential fluid. Was told the Diff overheated and it leaked fluid. Then the Tires got a nail and they refused to fix them, when they said that it was covered under the maintenance. I have to say the SERVICE FROM INFINITI IS POOR AT BEST. IF YOU CALL INFINITI CONSUMER AFFAIR AND GET AMANDA HANG UP and wait the 30 days and get someone else. If you ask for a manager and Tommy. Hang up as he will give you lip service. Buy a Lexus or Acura!!!

I leased an Infinity Q50 Sport model in 2015. Although the Q50 went through brakes every 13,000 miles and had premature tire wear (noted problem with Q50 Sport Model), we enjoyed the vehicle for the most part. If you do not want to pay for multiple brake jobs and a set(s) of tires prematurely, then this vehicle is not for you. At lease end, Infinity Financial Services sent us our final invoice and put the due date EIGHT DAYS from when we received it. Within a 14 day period, they sent us THREE notices for payment and then told us that we were in violation of the lease agreement! Even after paying early each of the 39 months of the lease, they treated us like deadbeats on the last payment because they set the payment due date EIGHT days after we received it.I sent in the payment in a timely manner (before net 30) and then sent a summary to the President of the North America division of Nissan and asked him to forward said complaint to Executives with IFS. If you want to be treated poorly at lease end with a prefect payment history, then Infinity Financial Services is the financial institution for you. We were going to buy an Infinity for our daughters 16th birthday but, after being treated so poorly at lease end, we have decided to buy another brand with a better financial institution attached to their brand.

We are leasing a 2017 QX70 that currently has 6,000 miles. It has been to the dealer twice because the battery keeps dying. The 1st time they just replaced the battery without asking what would cause it to drain. The 2nd time, they finally decided to test the electronics to see why the battery keeps draining. The dealer couldnt confirm this would fix the problem but they think it is the push button start which they tried to say was not factory installed (until they looked up the window sticker). Aside from the inconvenience of a dead battery TWICE, we have had a loaner car for a month and still dont have the car fixed. We filed a report with Infiniti Consumer Affairs who sent the case to their legal team to see if we could break the lease without penalty. Brian, the CA rep assigned to our case takes two to three days to return phone calls. He finally called today to say CA determined we cannot break the lease under the Lemon Law. Our car is still not fixed and the dealer has yet to confirm when we can expect it to be fixed. We will never buy another Infiniti again as this is a joke. The car isnt even used enough to have had its first oil change! And there is no guarantee the push button start is truly the problem, so this could keep happening.
