Hyundai Genesis coupe engine repairs near me
Hyundai Motor Company, often abbreviated to Hyundai Motors and commonly known as Hyundai, is a South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Hyundai Motor Company was founded in 1967.
This particular branch of the Genesis family tree aspires to drift-king greatness and a muscle-car reputation, but achieves neither. A 348-hp 3.8-liter V-6 and rear-wheel drive team with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. The automatic’s manual mode is smooth but lazy, so pick the stick. Steering is lively; the suspension strikes a decent balance between good body control and a compliant ride. It’ll gladly wag its tail and play, but 2016 marks the end for the Genesis coupe.

Purchased a Hyundai Kona in 2018, just over 30G miles while in Colorado the check engine light goes on (this is August 2020). Take the car to Boulder Hyundai, they have no real idea what is wrong with it, replace injectors, debris in engine, they don't know why.... Wont release car as it could be unsafe, all 4 pistons misfiring so bad that the steering wheel pulls aggressively to the right. Supposedly they fix it, I am told if "check engine" light comes back on, stop car immediately and have it towed in, as it is dangerous to drive. Well Sept 7th, check engine light comes on again, steering wheel pulling aggressively again due to misfiring. I stop, have car towed in. Nalley Hyundai has had my car since 9/8/20. Replaced everything again, still same problem, they are in no rush to help, they have had my car for OVER 6 weeks, no clue what's wrong, I am completely at their mercy! Still making payments on car I cannot drive, they refuse to take it back and make it right. So I am paying on a car I have not driven in over 6 weeks and there is nothing I can do about it! Don't buy a kona! Don't buy a hyundai! They dont care at all and you as the customer have no advocate!RENEE of Conyers, GA

After four years of usage and 145000 km, I experienced a leak from the heater unit located inside the vehicle. The local dealer through the warranty department refused to address the problem indicating that I will have to pay in order to have the problem solved. I am concerned since I believe that problem should be the last to occur in a vehicle since if one is not familiar with vehicles it can cause the engine to overheat and engine damage. I have had vehicles in the past. This is my first Hyundai and I never had such problems with them.Chris of Calcutta Road 2, FL

I would like to tell you about the service I received Hyundai in Downingtown, PA. I recently took my 2013 Hyundai Tucson for an oil change and state inspection which I was impress of how quickly it was taken care of. They provided great service and I was happy to return for more service. Due to a poor wheel alignment the service department had recommended that I replace my rear driver tire so that my car can pass inspection. When I left the dealership I heard a loud noise from the back tires. At first I thought it was from a wheel alignment that they recommended I needed. During the week, I notice the noise getting much louder to the point where I felt it was unsafe to drive. I went online to see if there was an appointment available but there wasn't so I decided to go to my local Firestone to get a second opinion. I described the noise and how a wheel alignment was recommended. During their inspection, they discovered that my new tire that was replaced by Hyundai was extremely loose and only hand tighten. I am so disappointed because I really thought I received great service especially being the end of the day but instead my life was at risk. I seen it for myself how the lugs were only hand tighten and the wheel shook by touch. This is my second Hyundai vehicle and second Hyundai dealership that I've dealt with and I was never disappointed until now. I was able to speak to the service manager which he kindly took the time to see the vehicle. In return of risking my life he offered a complimentary oil change and to speak with the mechanic who worked on my vehicle because apparently that's what my life is worth. I will never trust the service of Hyundai again. I can only hope they will learn from this situation so that other customers will not be at risk.Jennifer of Downingntown, PA

Once you buy the car you are on your own with respect to the warranty. There is a poor association with the dealers and the company. The dealer will tell you the work is not covered or do poor work on the car and you have no options. The company will say it is a dealer issue and the dealer will tell you that the corporation has such strict guidelines on warranty work and you will not get anywhere. I complained and sent letters to executives and the president and they will send you back to customer service which will give you the usual routine about company policy. There is NO means of escalation. All you can do as a customer is use social media. This company has archaic concepts of customer service. This company has a long way to go with respect to customer service after you buy the car. Warranty work is very limited. Do not expect standard repairs after you purchase. I will never buy a Hyundai Car again!!!Gunther of Main Street, ON

I needed to have my car back so i had the dealership do the repair and i paid for it. I was contact by Hyundai as a result of this post (they emailed me) and i called them and left a message. Then i called a week later saying that i havent heard back from the gentleman. He called me later that day and told me that since my car is out of warranty, and that they did honor the warranty on the 4th ignition coil even though it was out of warranty... there is nothing they could do. They obviously wont recall it, they wont refund me. Again... car parts go bad... but for each coil (there are 4 of them) to go bad and then ANOTHER one... you would think that there is some defect in the manufacturing that is causing the coils to fail.I informed him that it would take an act of god for me to purchase a Hyundai again, or any vehicle that they manufacture.Jordan of King Of Prussia, PA

Over a month ago I contacted Hyundai Consumer Affairs and Hyundai National Consumer Affairs regarding my 2016 Elantra Value Edition. My car was manufactured at the Alabama plant and I have had problems with the car since I purchased it. The problems began with the dealer not prepping the car for delivery and also not documenting all my trips back to the service department beginning the day after I purchased. The manager of the dealership titled my car in the wrong state, refused to listen to me and then also refused to honor the dealer's price guarantee and return policy. It took a year for the dealer to check the alignment and I still have a steering problem.Within 10 months and 7000 miles, my interior began falling apart. Panel covers detaching and rattles and squeaks. Exterior items also detaching. The hood misaligned/warped. I made 5 trips to the dealer in Florida to get 1 panel cover repaired, 2 visits they refused to document: 1 visit I had an appointment and the system was down, the other trip the adviser refused to document and made an appointment for the following week. The parts were ordered in Ohio and it was a struggled to have them installed. The screws/connectors that hold the wheel well liner, front bumper cover and the engine splash guard came loose and came off while I traveled from Florida to Ohio. The splash guard and wheel liner came down and dragged under the car. I got off the highway and pulled them back in place and secured them temporarily. The mechanic said I am lying and that I hit something. I did not, but most certainly dragged something from the road as I exited the highway.Hyundai sent their district rep to the dealer. He did an inspection, however did not look at the interior as he claimed all the detaching panels are to OEM specs. I have photos that show otherwise. He also claimed to have checked my wipers and that there was no clunk nor the blade hitting the frame. I have a video that shows it does. Hyundai refuses to acknowledge the fact that their cars manufactured in the USA require different replacement parts and the cars are different. They refuse to repair my car. They kept my car 5 days for paperwork leaving me stranded and unable to travel.B. of Hollywood, FL

I currently own a 2005 Hyundai Sonata but decided to get a new car 2 years ago. Not knowing what I really wanted, I decided to lease a new 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT. Prior to the end of the lease in January 2019, I received a letter from the dealership stating that they will cover termination fees, excess wear and tear, disposition fees and over mileage fees. I leased a new 2018 Hyundai Kona in August of 2018. To my surprise, I recently received a bill from Hyundai Motor Finance Company for over $1,300. I have made countless phone calls to both the dealership and finance company to no avail. The dealer says they have done everything they can and do not understand the charges, the finance company says that they are just going by my contract and here I am stuck in the middle with a bill. I ended up paying the balance for "loss of sale", a term I heard only after turning in the car. The Hyundai Motor Finance Company has even charged me $65.00 a hubcap for "curb rash"; $260 just for hubcaps! When speaking with one of their representatives, she explained that they want the car back in the same condition I got it in; In other words, they do not accept "normal wear and tear". They are a third party just like any other bank and really don't have anything to do with what dealerships tells me. Unless you are willing to read all the fine print in your contract at the dealership, which is kind of hard because all they really want is to have you walk away with a car, take the contract home and read it before you sign for after it has your signature, you are legally bound to its terms. Don't expect the dealership to explain to you important terms like "loss of sale"; the difference you are responsible for if the car is not sold at auction for a price that covers the remainder of the lease balance. Call the "Lease End" department before you turn in the car and arrange for a pre-inspection so you can fix everything at a fraction of the cost. I could have replaced all four hubcaps for less than $100. I now purchased the "excess wear and tear" insurance for the new vehicle; let's see how that goes?Neisy of West New York, NJ

I bought a brand new Tucson 2016. After I drove it for less than 800 miles the Check Engine light came on. I took it to the dealer and was told a pin fell inside the engine and broke it. Dealer offered to replace the engine. Because it was a new car I refused. So, after a lengthy fight Hyundai finally agreed to give me another new Tucson. Phew... wait, I am not done yet. 2 weeks later I took delivery of the new Tucson and guess what? 1200 miles later, the car just stalled and would not start as I was driving in the middle of the highway. Now that was scary, in the middle of the highway at night! Luckily there was a state trooper nearby who was able to redirect traffic around my car while I waited for a tow truck. I had the car towed back to the dealer. After looking into it for about 2 weeks, they finally called me to tell me there was another problem with the engine and it could not be repaired. Again, Hyundai has offered to send a replacement engine. This time I refused and am currently fighting them for my money back. Consumer beware of the 2016 Tucson, they are junky.Alain of Litchfield, NH

My daughter was driving my 2011 Hybrid Sonata home from Florida when the engine seized in Georgia. It was towed to Peacock Hyundai where they helped my daughter tremendously by getting her another vehicle to finish her trip home. Since the engine wouldn’t be there in a timely matter, Hyundai gave us fair market value for the vehicle. Everyone that we dealt with was very helpful. I would recommend Peacock Hyundai of Georgia and also the Hyundai products.Karen of Fuquay Varina, NC

I have a 2013 Sonata. I love my car (not the payments of course), took my car to xyz shop for an oil change, was advised I also needed my engine flushed - did that. It was giving me problems, take the car to blah blah dealership and I'm told I have no oil in car. I asked why my sensors never came on.. no one knows. Hyundai swears they have never had this problem before but after reading these reviews I beg to differ. Oh and I also voided my service warranty but no one can tell me exactly why.deandra of New Brunswick, NJ
