My wife and I purchased a new 2010 Hyundai Sonata. We purchased this car because my wife commuted to work about 80 miles one way and liked the fact that it had the 100,000 mile warranty on the engine. The car has been great mechanically but now the exterior door handles are breaking off. I have since found out from 2 different dealerships that this is a known problem and was directed to file complaints with Hyundai and my Attorney General’s Office. Hyundai did contact me to address the complaint but refuse to offer any kind of assistance to repair the handles. I would not recommend this car to anyone looking to purchase one. This is not an isolated case. It is a known problem.

Title release - Hyundai Motor Finance - I sent in a check overnight paying off my car. I was told the title would be released within 38 hours. After a week, I called and learned it wasnt released but that it would be sent on the next business day - Monday for overnight deliver. It wasnt sent until Tuesday regular deliver and told it would arrive on 7-10 business days. Awful customer service. One lie after another. Company does not follow protocol. Awful. Awful, awful.

I bought four units of Hyundai Starex at my country, Malaysia. My Hyundai Starex MPVs were registered under Malaysia numbers. I bought the first two units in 2009, another unit in 2010 and another unit in 2011. Now, the first unit, that has 178,000 miles, encountered some problems. Whenever I made a turn, the vehicle is moving and it is becoming dangerous. I also have problems with the aircon compressor. My question is, are these two items still under warranty?Malaysia Hyundais slogan is very attractive: Warranty under 3 years or 300,000 miles. But when I made a claim, they said, sorry, there is no warranty for your vehicle. What? No claim? My vehicle has never been in an accident before. Apparently, your slogan is only meant to cheat us. I am very disappointed with Hyundai Malaysia.

2006 Hyundai Sonata: air bags no longer work; lights on; and dealers service department says this is not covered under 100k warranty. I have 70k miles. This is a safety issue and Hyundai says its not covered! I am reading this particular issue over and over on websites! It is very poor that there is no warranty on this issue. Several hundred dollars is needed out of my pocket to repair it. I cant afford it. So, in case of an accident, too bad! And yes, the passenger air bag had to be repaired couple of years ago. Now, neither work (according to the system).

I have a 2008 Veracruz with deteriorating seats which is still covered under warranty. But they will not fix them, because the service manager at Pride claimed this is caused by normal wear and tear. The color on both front seats is wearing off. I do not feel I paid $25,000.00 for a car with color that is going to wear off the seats in 3 years. Needless to say, the car only has 43,000 miles on it. The seats are covered up to five years or 60,000 miles. I was told if the seams wear, then it will be covered. Should I have to wait till then? By then, the warranty will not be honored.

I am having a huge issue with the quality of service that I am receiving from Hyundai’s service department in Carlsbad. I had an issue with my car on Friday 10/5 around 730 am. I had the car brought to the service department at the dealership by AAA that morning. I received a call from the AAA driver that my car was dropped off at 815. I didn’t hear anything until 2pm from Ulysses that they received my car. He had a second to look at it and maybe it had just run out of gas. I explained that it was having issues prior & when the AAA guy jumped in it did turn on before bogging out so if they could do a diagnostic to the car just to make sure everything else was fine.He asked for my consent to put $20 worth of gas in it and then let me know if it turned on before doing the diagnostic. It has now been 5 days and I have not received one text or call. I called to get an update about the gas, but Ulysses had already left for the day. When I called today I was placed on hold for 13 mins before a rude receptionist told me Ulysses was out for the next two days and won’t be getting to my car. Is this what I can now normally expect from this location? Before moving out here I would take it to the dealership in Corona and they have always given me the best service, quick and communicated great with what was going on. I now feel slight nervous and used leaving my car at a dealer that is so unresponsive and upright rude every time I’ve called.

I want to share my bad experience with Freehold Hyundai. I wanted to buy a Sonata. When I contacted them, their salesman Frank quoted a figure which was as per our budget, so we decided to visit them. Antony was the salesman who attended us. I must say he was a good salesman. But when it came to quoting the final figures, he again and again went to his manager Pete **. The figures which they quoted were much higher than what they had initially quoted and we were surprised to hear them. I dont know why they called us to waste our time when we had clearly told them our budget in the beginning. Finally, Pete ** called me inside his cabin (Antony asked my wife to stay out). Pete was such a rude sales manager. I really pity people who hired him. He cracked some jokes, which were personal, and I didnt like them at all. I dont know how he could speak in such a manner to his customers. Very rude, ill-mannered and a guy with attitude problem. He doesnt deserve to be a manager at all. His customer handling is so poor that I dont know how he is running this dealership. In my life, I have never met such an ill-mannered sales manager! There was another salesman in Petes cabin, who was laughing on all this. I felt so insulted. These people are so unprofessional. Pete didnt even offer me a seat to sit. He was sitting in front of me as if he was my boss. I think a roadside vendor has better sales/customer handling skills than Pete. When I showed my displeasure on all this, Pete tried to make the deal. How could he even think I will ever do business with him or recommend his dealership to anyone? This guy is so insensitive about his customers. I am giving this rating for poor customer handling, wrong price commitments and for the insult I faced there.

Hyundai Motor Finance are the worst group of customer relations. They dont care about the customers. I leased a vehicle from them, turned it in early, paid the car off. They auctioned the car and sent me a remaining balance, which should not have been calculated. They revised the amount and was supposed to send me a new balance. Ive been calling and kept note of everyone spoken to, begging for the balance due to make payment, since November 2016. Its now April 2016. I was told I had a lower balance than what was originally calculated. I paid it and was told by a manager Ruth and other workers, Tiffany and others that the account is settled and will show paid in full, and the credit bureau will be notified of the closed account.A week has passed and I called to check in on my account and was told that I had a past due balance of the same amount (WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE UP TO?). It still show on my credit that this account is past due. Ive lost over 100 pts on my credit score because of their false report. When I was making the monthly payments, updates were quick. Now that I want out, its like they dont want to let you go. The managers and workers in-between are all the same - they make promises to take care of the situation, have managers call you back etc, and they do nothing about it. No one calls back. Nothing happens. This account is paid in full to date. The car was auctioned off and its final - all I want from them is to close my account and update my credit that the account is paid and closed. PLEASE HYUNDAI, its been 6 months of calling you. Not getting anywhere with all the staff you employ. I want to move on with my life. I want nothing to do with Hyundai Motor Finance. I will never lease another vehicle from your company. This experience has been torture for me. I been an excellent paying customer. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?? Please close my account.

Zero Rating if possible. I dont really know where to begin with this brand and its terrible cars. I purchased a brand new Hyundai Sonata Turbo in 2013. Ive spent countless hours with my car in the shop over the car sputtering, shaking, cutting off at stop signs. Not to mention the electronics in the car are terrible; Bluetooth doesnt connect half the time for unknown reasons. Theres been at least 4 recalls done since I purchased this car. I had to get a total electrical discharge done to reset the electronics because the car was going haywire. Finally, Im down on Myrtle Beach for vacation and the car totally shuts off. Turns out it was a faulty engine that needed to be replaced. Took 30 days to get the engine sent in from Korea and replaced. Then somehow the rental car that I had racked up an amazing 2400 bill of which Hyundai determined to only pay $400. And then afterward I noticed the car jumping and things shifting and making horrible noises under the hood. Turns out the repairmen didnt screw the transmission mount screws on tight enough both of the bolts had the heads off and the transmission was moving around while I was driving. The dealership told me the car would be fine to drive and so I did until it just became unbearable. Now they want me to fork over another $1700 to replace the entire subframe that they messed up when installing the engine. Hyundai is a horrible company with Horrible cars. I will never purchase another thing from you and your terrible dealerships. Go out of business for the countries sake or leave your terrible cars in Korea.

Wondering if anyone with a 2012 Hyundai Sonata has noticed a ring around the sunroof on the inside lining? I am afraid it is mold. Dealer said mold wont grow on the liner. Anyone else experiencing this? I have the car in the shop right now awaiting a pressure test that I am being charged for to find if there is a leak. If there is a leak... guess what? Driving a new 2019 Tuscon Elite AWD. Car is good but had a alignment/steering issue from day one. Issue was addressed after four attempts and four months, although at a Ford Dealership. No issue with vehicle or even local dealerships. Issue for me is with the parent support team in CA. After months of steering issue finally opened a case with Hyundai Corporate. Cutting to chase, the folks in corporate are rude, did zero to help or expedite addressing issue and essentially deflected any liability what-so-ever. They opened a case I thought to help me, then never followed up, returned calls, answered emails - absolutely nothing! So again decent SUV, great value, but absolutely the 100% worst national customer support line Ive ever had the dissatisfaction of working with. If you a like a good value, then Hyundai is a safe bet. If if you also like a fair and open OEM who is concerned with customer feedback with new car issues, then run as fast as you can from Hyundai based on this writers firsthand experience.

We have a 2010 Accent and bought Hyundai dealership parts (tire sensors) and had a Hyundai dealership install the parts and two were defective but I didnt find out until driving the car home. I had to pay the dealership to take out the two bad sensors and reinstall the old parts until they found (4) working. I incurred several hundred in cost for the defective parts and the maintenance charges to deal with the defective parts. Customer service made me jump through hoops with documentation (which I provided) and then more documentation (which I provided) then more documentation including title/license copies? I finally lost my patience after months and had to file a small claims case. Their CA offices are apparently closed so I cannot serve their legal dept? I wrote a letter to their legal dept November 22, 2021 and havent heard anything from anyone at Hyundai. In the mean time Im out $700 + dollars since July, 2021. I have a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. It has about 140,000 miles on it and is admittedly well outside of any warranty. However, I believe this case requires an exception. About a year ago, the paint started chipping off my car. Not little scratches but fairly large spots. I contacted Hyundai who said it was outside the warranty, and I let it go. Last Saturday, during a hard rain, the paint literally fell off my car. My husband drove to Columbus that day, and when he arrived, the paint had vanished from the entire roof. Patches came off of the hood as well. And the trunk is beginning to peel. I am told this is a delamination issue related to metal paint preparation. While I realize that the car is outside the warranty, I stand by my statement that no matter how many miles a car has on it, the paint should not come off in the rain! Hyundai refuses to even refer the case to a supervisor.. Normal wear and tear happens, and I accept that. But this is clearly a factory defect, and I think Hyundai should be responsible for fixing it. I am interested in finding others with similar experience to approach Hyundai together.

I bought a 2011 Hyundai, I was the second owner. As I was going to work I pulled out onto a main highway where the motor made this horrible noise and stopped, leaving me in terrible danger. People helped me push the car to get it backed off to a bit of safety zone, I had to have it towed to a garage. This car had 82,000. miles on it, it seems the motor was gone. It was then towed to the dealership, where it sat for 4 months before anyone even took a look at it. I keep calling them frequently about it and was told, they had so many cars before me in line they didnt have time to work on it.I had to find other means of transportation for work and other necessities. Only to be told because I was 2,000 over the second owners warranties that Hyundai refused to replace it. They had a class action suite against them, I was notified, but didnt have a problem at the time I was notified. Why would I spent $6,000 for a new one of their motors when the one I had was no good? I was told of others the same dealership that they had replaced motors with the overage mileage. I had expected to drive this car for at least 200,000 plus miles. Just goes to prove not all Lemons are yellow!

My 2008 Hyundai Veracruz with roughly 60,000 miles on it has been at the dealership for two weeks not running. There is damage to the engine and excessive sludge build up which has also damage parts around the engine. I was told that the work is not covered under warranty because it is due to lack of maintenance. I was able to produce receipts that proved I get scheduled oil changes on my car and passed on this information to the dealership. I then called Hyundai North America and filed a complaint and requested to have this work covered under the warranty since it happened from no fault of my own. It has now been two weeks and a Hyundai North America regional manager has failed to reach out to me and contact me in regards to this. I call and email and still have no answers as to what is going on with my car. I have just received a phone call from the dealership that they received an email and that Hyundai will not cover the engine damage because they still find it happened due to lack of maintenance. Nobody from Hyundai North America has reached out to me to discuss these findings. This is the second Hyundai I purchased because I was sold on Americas Best Warranty. This could not be less accurate. The customer service has been below par and the fact that they will not stand behind the warranty and fix what is broken is worse. I will never purchase a Hyundai vehicle again and I ask you to take my experience into consideration before you do. I understand that there is no guarantee that nothing will last forever and I accept that, I can deal with that. The customer service from Hyundai is what is completely dissatisfying and unacceptable.

Very, Very Bad Customer Service at Rally Hyundai-Palmdale,CA - I was treated horribly by the Sales Manager. His name is **, at least thats what he told me. After test driving a few cars and ready to go home and ponder, I was told by the sales associate, Kyle, was going to the back to see if they had exactly the car I wanted. Two minutes later, Kyle returned with Randy. I explained to him that I was just there to test drive; I had already researched the car for almost 2 months so I knew just what I was getting. So Randy started immediately, he didn’t waste any time. “What payments can you afford?” “Ummm… no thanks, I dont want to discuss price, thank you, I just wanted to test drive.” “Well, why not? Why do you want this type of car? Why not another? Oh, thats not what this car cost. Oh the car you test drove couldnt have felt that way. No, no, no.” Discredit, discredit, discredit. The language he used was rude, forceful and disrespectful. “Forget about your research, it’s all wrong.” He wanted me to go inside so that he could show me his numbers. He was a lot like a bully and he tried to intimidate me. But I stood my ground and refused to follow his lead. Mind you, this was all after I explained to him that I didn’t want to buy today, only a test drive. After he saw that he could not intimidate me, he became very upset, glared at me and began his rant. You just dont believe me. Youre not even listening to me. Were done here! Calling me a liar to my face! I thought, “Uhhhh... who called who a liar? What just happened?” Well when he was done with his rant, he walked away. The only thing I was able to get out after that was, Thats unfortunate as he stumped off like Rumpelstiltskin. If he had just allowed me to leave nicely, I would have returned to purchase the car I wanted. I guess he thought because I was alone and a woman, that he could bully me into doing something I didnt want to. No one deserves that type of treatment. And after reading other reviews on Yelp, it turns out no one is allowed to test drive at this location unless they plan on buying. Something needs to be done about this bully.

Ive procured an IX35 approx. a month ago from the Hyundai branch in Umhlanga, Durban, before I took delivery, there was a number of issues with the vehicle. The salesman promised that all issues relating to damaged drivers seat, back tail light, no door clips, etc. will be attended to. We agreed in writing that they will be resolved within 3 days. This never materialized. My numerous attempts to the dealership was ignored. I am also awaiting the registration of the vehicle which is also currently not done. I am at my wits trying to explain myself to the Sales manager and the salesman. The recent recommendation from the Sales Manager in writing that I must return the vehicle. I am comfortable with this and I kept asking for the last week now, when the deposit of 90 thousand rands will be refunded and the vehicle returned. I now hear today from the Sales manager that he will attempt to resolve the issues. I am now extremely frustrated and require that this matter receives urgent attention.

They told me that it would cost $119.00 to repair it. I feel that West Broad Hyundai of Richmond should repair or pay my dealer for the work. The latch cover on the inside of the car had to be taken off in order to open the hood. You now have to pull the wire to open the hood.

My 2012 Sonata - I have 18,000 miles on my car that I bought last February. I paid $30,000 for the car and I already need 4 new tires. I would not have purchased the car had I known this. The dealership (Washington, PA) said they put junk tires on it to get the best test drive performance. This is unacceptable that I had to spend $500 9 months after spending 30 grand on the car.

On 1/5/2012, I was in an accident in my 2003 Hyundai Elantra. A car ran the stop sign and pulled out in front of me and I slammed on my brakes but could not stop in time so I t-boned them going about 40mph dead center. The airbags did not deploy. I had severe whiplash and now have constant back pain. I am so mad that the airbags did not deploy. I contacted Hyundai about this and they wanted all this information from me: service records and everything but the kitchen sink. Yes, I had the maintenance done on my vehicle either by my husband or a mechanic, and no, my airbags were never removed. Maybe Hyundai forgot to put the airbags in the vehicles that have so many issues of them not deploying.

I visited the Larry H Miller Hyundai dealership on Aug 26, 2016. Through their website I applied for financing to purchase a used vehicle. Shortly afterwards I received a call from someone claiming to be in their finance department. This person told me I was approved for financing and rattled off a range of payment amounts. Now, at this point I had not told them what vehicle I wanted so there was no way they could tell me what my supposed payment was. I told him great, I will keep looking at your inventory and when I find something I will contact you.In the meantime I requested information regarding their financing offer. I made this request in writing via email 8 times, over the phone several times and through their chat system twice. And yet, after 10 days I couldnt get ANYONE with this dealership to even tell me the name of the company who wants to sell me a loan. I certainly never received the lawfully required WRITTEN finance offer with all the appropriate legal information as required by State and Federal Law.Finally, I made one more attempt to resolve this issue without going through all this. I contacted Larry H Miller Hyundai, explained I had an issue that I needed help with and I asked to speak to their Finance department head. Not only did they not let me speak to this person, they REFUSED to even tell me this persons name. All they would do is take down my email, which they already had for over a week. Now that I have to start a vehicle search over again, I am still going to suffer a financial penalty when I apply for financing from another dealer/bank. You only get so many credit bureau hits during a two year period and now I am going to be penalized with a higher interest rate because I will have another hit on my credit report. And of course I still dont have the vehicle I was trying to buy originally.

When shopping around I was looking for a convenience features. Sonata Hybrid 2016 was slightly better than other midsize hybrid alternatives. Looked at all these reviews on Edmunds and similar websites. From their perspective it looks good. After one month of driving (and pretty good experience) main battery broke. Brought it to a dealership. It took already 2 days just to localize the problem. Accordingly to them it will take another 1-2 days to get an answer from Hyundai what needs to be done. This is a car on a warranty. What happens when its out. I feel Im screwed. This is a new car. Just started to pay for it.

As a loyal customer of Hyundai Vehicles that currently owns 4 Hyundai Cars I am extremely disappointed in the service received from the service department. My daughter is a college student in the area away from home. When purchasing her vehicle I added all the Hyundai Warranties offered to me in order to secure her safety at all times. Her vehicle was taken in April 2016 for repairs and replacement of a few items. She left there with not 1 item corrected. I called several times and was given several excuses. One weekend in May 2016 I drove 5 hours to address the issue in person. I was told by Curvin (Advisor) and Mike (Manager) that the issue would be resolved. Well June rolled around no action. I called the GM of this location to assist in the matter. Well he never returned my call. The only thing he did was send my message back to the service managerAfter contacting the warranty department myself I learned that Hyundai never requested the approval until June 30, 2016. Well here we are in July 2016. Still waiting on the items to be ordered. This will be my last Hyundai and I would not recommend anyone take their vehicle here. Since they were not making extra money off of me, my daughter service was not a priority at all. In 37 years this is the worst experience I have ever had...

On 8/8/2017 my Hyundai Elantra vehicle started clunking as a way getting on to the highway. After pulling over, I saw a huge puddle of oil that was leaking out of my vehicle. After having it towed and inspected I was told that something let loose in the engine and blew a hole right through. This was after only going through a puddle but then having all parts affect cleaned out. A week later this is what happens. I have never owned a vehicle where the engine had to be replaced so quickly. It is only a 2015 with 109,000 miles approximately. I had a previous 2010 Hyundai that surpassed that mileage. I believe that something is defective in the way they have made these engines in newer year models. Everyone should be aware of this before purchasing because I am now spending thousands of dollars after only 2 years of owning the vehicle on top of being stuck with a significant amount due on my car loan.

I have a santa fe sport and sonata purchased within 1 year of each other. There have been several warranty issues on both cars. The company is horrible to deal with. MOst recently I called the company because of the issues I had with the dealership and they were no help because the dealerships are all independent, but the next closest dealership is over 1 hour away and you have to go to a dealer for warranty issues. When I spoke to their customer service about rental reimbursement for warranty issues, they said they do that, but dont guarantee (since it may not be a warranty issue and they dont know for sure until the car is fixed). I asked if there was a certain type of car I needed to rent and they said no and said it would be ok to get something similar to the car I own and that would be considered when issuing reimbursement. So I got a mid size SVU rental because I have a santa fe sport and then they would only reimburse about half of what I paid. If they would have been up front with me and said, the max we reimburse is $** then I would have tried to find a cheaper rental. So my warranty repair cost me over $200 in rental fees.

We purchased our 2006 Sante Fe from MJ Sullivan in New London, CT in June 2006. It has the 6 cyl engine with AWD. I just passed the 120,000-mile mark and this car is running like a champ. It is an everyday vehicle and we use it for all driving trips. I had to replace the tires at 95,000 miles because of a puncture in the sidewall (the tires still had about 1/3 the depth of a penny for tread), the brakes at 90,000 (the pads were making a slight scraping sound on the rotors) and the timing belt at 105,000 miles (my mechanic showed me the belt and said it would have lasted another 25,000 miles). We couldnt be more pleased with our car and Hyundai, and we are now purchasing a Hyundai Elantra Limited for my wife. We have never had any major problem with the car and have performed only routine maintenance for the past 6 1/2 years.

On December 23, my Hyundai vehicle was repossessed. I was shocked! I double checked my online bank account and could not find any lapses in payments. I tried calling them on December 24 and of course no one was in. I kept trying and finally reached them on Dec 29. When I called them and they said their records show me 41 days late but could not give me the exact information on when I missed a payment. There was a bunch of double talk about how much principal and interest had been applied and they tried to avoid my direct questions such as when my payment is due, what my minimum payment amount was etc. This is no way to do business!!! Then they tell me in order to reinstate my loan, I have to pay $1038 plus repo fees, plus storage cost of the vehicle. Then she tells me that the repo lot only holds the car 2-5 days. That the car had already probably be sent to auction. They have violated my rights in so many ways. Just do yourself a favor and steer clear of Hyundai motor finance. FYI... they and Kia are one in the finance area. Buyer beware!

I bought a 2011 Sonata in Jan. 2011. In March, I called my dealership to report that my car was pulling to the right. The service manager told me it was from the strong winds we had been having. I also called the dealership in late March because my moon roof was leaking. I took it in and they put a new moon roof. In August I again called and told them about the moon roof leaking again and that I needed some door dinks pulled out (I purchased that extra package). The dealership set up a appointment for me and when I arrived, the service manager told me it was the nature of the beast for the moon roof to leak and he had not made an appointment with the people who fix door dinks. I ask him if he was going to make a note about my moon roof and that the car still pulled to the right. He replied, What do you want from me? very harshly and stated they do not make notes when no work was done. Travel time for me to get to the dealership is 1 hour and I have taken off work to take my car in. This past summer, I did get a recall on the front of the car (The recall was about struts being bad). I called the dealership and ask about it and he informed me that they were waiting for a tool to be able to do the recall and he would call me and set up an appointment. I never heard anything from them, so I called in November and they set up an appointment for December 16. I also ask about getting the door dinks fixed and he stated he would set up the appointment for that also. I took it in on the 16th and they worked on the front end of my car and when I picked it up, I was informed my front right wheel was bent. They moved it to the rear of the car. I believe the rim was always bent from the day I purchased it, but he said they would not warranty it. I believe this should be warrantied. They did not make an appointment to get my doors fixed. I would travel to Columbia, Mo. to another dealership if that has to be done. I love my car and believe Hyundai does not treat their customers like this and want to stand behind their promises. Thank you for your time.

When I asked the dealership, they never have these. They refused to order it, stating Hyundai does not take request. Additionally, all the cars on their lot have the crap I do not want (cargo net, cargo tray, floor mats, etc.) This adds up to $400 worth of junk. I asked them to remove it and they wont. Shouldnt that make it a Standard Option? If that is the case, isnt that false advertisement? The website advertises something that the dealerships will not deliver. I currently own this 2015 Sonata limited and have seen very little of it lately. I purchased this car in October 2015. After around seven months of ownership, my battery went dead. I called service. They jump the car and figured that was the end of the problem since it was a very cold morning. A few days later the same thing happened again. Called the service. They jump the car. This time I drove it to Star Hyundai service. The manager at that time, Mike told me that there was nothing wrong with the battery and they were not replacing it. This was after two hours of trying to diagnose the problem. He tell me if it happens again I should have the car towed in. That is exactly what I did a few days later. He still refused to admit that there was something wrong with the battery. I then contacted the dealer whom I bought the car from who put the screws to him and he finally changed the battery. I thought this was the end of the problem. Wrong! This problem has repeated itself several times over the last few months. I have had three new batteries since the original battery put in to this car. I only have around 16,000 miles on the car. After the issue had escalated I contacted their customer care department. I was given a case number and a really horrible case worker. He never answered his phone, was very slow to get back to me. Kyle **. They advertise great customer service. HORRIBLE!!! I was forced to hire a lemon law lawyer. My car is presently in the shop going on 26 days. They could not find the reason for the battery failure. Fortunately for me, I was given a loaner. Now I am just waiting to see what they are going to do as far as replacing the car or offering me a buyback. I certainly dont want a replacement. This was my first and my last Hyundai purchase.

My 2007 Hyundai Elantra started with a clicking noise a few days ago so I took it into the dealer in Thousand Oaks, CA. They called me a few hours later to ask me for my records of my oil changes. I said, What records? The service guys said, Well we need the maintenance records in order to fix your car. I was baffled. I said, How would I even begin to obtain those? I rarely visit the same place more than once and I have lived in several cities since I bought the car. He said to me, Well then look at your bank records. I had also switched banks of almost 10 years and this was assuming I had paid debit or credit for the oil change. I let them know how ridiculous that was and how if I had been told to ensure to keep all records at the time of purchase or their warranty would be void, then I would have done so. His response was, Its in the manual. Seriously?! The 1,000 page manual that nobody reads? Ridiculous! I then asked for the manager, which he refused to give me, but said he would give me the Hyundai customer service number. I then called them and got the same responses from the first lady. Its in the manual. So I asked for a manager. The case manager Evon seemed to understand and said he would call the dealer and find out what was going on and call me back. I never got a call back from him and had to call them back myself, twice. Both times ended up speaking to 2 different people. Both of which also gave me the same response, Its in the manual. I have worked in customer service for 10 years and have never seen such terrible service. If I treated my customers the way I have been treated, I would be out of a job! The reason I purchased the car was because of the warranty! Which is how Hyundai advertises. Its ridiculous that they want records of oil changes when I have had my car for almost 6 years. How unreasonable are you guys?! I have spent countless hours calling locations I have been for oil changes. Ive had to travel to Santa Ana, Sherman Oaks, Moorpark and Simi Valley in California just to visit these locations and see if its possible to get reprints. Oh and if you do your own oil changes, you have to provide receipts of purchases of your oil. Wow! Case manager and Hyundai customer care got me nowhere. I have spent days searching and visiting shops. So ridiculous and such a waste of my time. My car has just hit 73,000 miles. Why cant you just fix it? Its still under your warranty. I am extremely angry and dissatisfied. My family has chosen Hyundai and this was the first car I had ever purchased for myself. I work hard everyday to get by and pay my rent and my car. I need to rely on my car to get to work to make that paycheck, which is why I bought a Hyundai, because I thought I was buying a reliable car with a great warranty. Not true! I have little hope that their customer service or their lies will change. I refuse to pay $3,000 for a new engine on a 6-year-old car with 73,000 miles on it!

I have had this car for 14 days. When I bought it the salesman could not get the nav to show anything but one major interstate. I trusted (HUGE MISTAKE) that the dealership would make it right. Now they tell me it has to be set at 150 feet to show street names. If youre on the highway going 60 mph - or even back roads at 40 - you wont have enough time to make the correct turns. Had they been honest about the severe limitations of the cars navigation system, I would have NEVER bought it. It would have been a deal breaker. My car was rear-ended by someone. I took my car so the rear bumper and other stuff that may have happened due to the accident be fixed. The day before I took it in, the brake light and the battery light came on. I was able to drive home. The next day the car wouldnt start. I called my insurance company and they sent roadside assistance. I was able to drive to the dealership. I explained what happened. I told them I spoke to someone. I gave them the name of the person. When they are done with the body shop part, and the insurance fixes whatever they needed to do, take it to the body shop and I will pay for it. Instead they changed the battery at the body shop. I picked up my car, and the lights are still on. I told them and I asked if it’s going to stall on me because I work 38.2 miles away. They said the battery is changed, the car is probably adjusting to the new battery, it wont stall - you should be good. I picked up the car this morning, lights still on, everything is driving good. Got almost to my destination and the whole electrical system went haywire. The gas gauge went from half tank to empty and the odometer disappeared. The speed gauge was in side to side directions. The car started buffering. Thankfully and praying like crazy, I got to the parking area. Turned the car off. To make a long story short, I had to pay half the expense of a towing company to get me back to the dealership. All of this could have been avoided if they had listened to me and just take the car to the service area.

24 hours after purchasing a 2006 Hyundia Tiburon from AR Motorsports, the vehicle would not shift. I brought it to my local mechanic, since I live 140 miles from the car lot. It was believed to be in need of a new clutch, which we authorized to be done. After further investigation, the mechanic realized that it was in fact a transmission failure with the clutch in satisfactory condition. It took the mechanic 6.5 hours and three additional helpers with crow bars to get the transmission apart from the engine. It was stated that the throwout bearing had welded itself to the output shaft, which in turn caused it to come apart, not allowing the pressure plate to move. Therefore, the vehicle would not properly shift into gear. Once Mr. ** was notified of the issue, he stated that it would be covered under warranty. On the 8th day, the vehicle was in the repair facility. The work was finally completed, and the total was $835.11. Mr. ** called back and stated that since it was a standard clutch replacement (maintenance) issue, the owner had decided not to cover the repairs. This vehicle was purchased with a 6-month/6,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Let me start at the beginning. I bought the 2018 Hyundai Sonata from Hyundai of Milford. I cam back for my first oil change and all went well. When the second oil change came around, they explained that in order to comply with warranty conditions, I needed to rotate the tires (a charge of about 85.00 with the oil change). No problem, I said. When I get the car back, I notice the tires were never rotated and I was charged. My understanding as they explained it to me is that if the services were not completed, it would void the warranty. They claim I was given a couple of free oil changes. Although they also said the tires would be rotated too, so I am really not so sure what I got. During one of the alleged free oil changes, I was told there was a software update. Again, I said, No problem, and they claim to have completed it.Anyway, so in August, I was 50+ miles from home, stopped at a car wash, grabbed a bite to eat and to my surprise, when I came out of the restaurant to start the car, the check engine light comes on. I had no acceleration whatsoever. Using their roadside assistance, I was towed from Windsor, CT to Branford Hyundai. It was Sunday, so the service department was closed. Service called me the following day to inform me that the main wiring harness was supposed to have been replaced when the software update was done. This tow cost me $130.00 since the roadside assistance only towed up to 20 miles. They kept the car for 2-3 days and finally called me and stated that the car was ready and all set. So, I picked up the car and a month a half later, guess what happens? Once again, I am in Windsor driving down the highway in the pouring rain and out of nowhere, the check engine light comes on again and the acceleration just stops. I have a car behind me that almost plows into me as a result. I coast off the next exit to a service station and again call for a tow truck. I used roadside assistance from another service that I have because it was a little cheaper and the second tow cost me $92.00.I towed it again to Branford Hyundai, it was Sunday again, so they were not open. I had to Uber to work the next day and waited all day for the service department to call me. They finally did at the very end of the day, after I called them a couple of times. I called them before I had to leave work, and they said they had not looked at it yet. When I got home, they called and said my car was all set. I got there, and the serviceman states, the problem was the knock sensor, and it should have been replaced when the wiring harness was replaced, he then stated, and I quote that this has been happening a lot and it was driving them crazy. We have been dealing with a lot of them and I should have replaced the knock sensor the last time you were here, sometimes we dont need to replace them though.I was told to send in both towing bills and receipts to corporate and I would be reimbursed for both towing bills. Well, when I did, I got an email suggesting that I sign a statement releasing them from liability for any further repairs related to the recall, and this would be the only way I would get reimbursed for the second tow only. I find their business practice unprofessional and they do not stand behind the products they sell. I refused to sign any documents, they said they would not reimburse anything if this was not signed. Very poor business practice. As a result of their carelessness, I am out $222.00 and am working harder than ever to get out of the car I am in, the 2018 Hyundai Sonata is NOT safe to drive. I am making sure that I let everyone I know (and that is a lot of people) not to buy from Hyundai or Kia (since they are the same manufacturer), and if they already did, to investigate whether the services they are completing are actually being done. I no longer have any ounce of trust in either of them and question their integrity. They need to be investigated by some authorities regarding their business practices since there are so many of their cars on the road. Based on the comments of the serviceman at Branford Hyundai, there seems to be a lot of them. If you happen to be behind one on the road BE CAUTious! The car may just lose power and cause a serious accident.

On two occasions during the past three months the battery in my 2011 Sonata Hybrid with 31000 miles has had to be jumpstarted by AAA. After the last incident last week I took the car to the dealer where the car was purchased and the battery was shown to be in perfect condition. I was told that if the dead battery problem occurs again, I should not jump-start the car, but have the car towed in to the dealer for diagnosis. Obviously an electrical problem exists, and towing the car to a Hyundai dealer will obviously be a problem, particularly if I am out of town on a weekend. I dont believe that I should have to bear the cost of travel to my home or hotel costs because of a problem due to a Hyundai fault. Because of this problem, I cannot risk travelling out of town. Please give me some advice to deal with my dilemma. Apart from the MPG issue which I have accepted, THIS is a SAFETY matter that requires a response.

My mother-in-law took her 2004 Hyundai Elantra with 50,000 miles to Olympia, WA to have her car serviced for her move to Georgia. The timing belt was changed, belts changed, oil and fluids changed, system flushed, etc., except for one major thing. When changing the timing belt, it is required that the water pump is replaced as well. The technician did not think that this was necessary. The vehicle broke down about 20 miles from Salina, KS, and it cost $255 for a wrecker and $455 for a trailer to transport the car to the dealership in Wichita, KS. It would have taken another $1850 - who knows what to fix the problem because the water pump that was to be replaced failed and the block is cracked because of overheating. My mother-in-law had no choice but to purchase a new car so that we can continue our journey home.

Bought this car 2nd hand from a dealer. Car had low mileage and was in great shape. Two weeks after we bought it with a 3rd party warranty, we found out we could can barely put gas in it. Also we had to get the fuel level sensors replaced because we never knew how much gas we had. We have talked to the dealership we bought it from. They said they couldnt fix anything because we bought it as is. It may take up to 30 minutes to put a half a tank in. Recently we had to take it to a different dealership because the alternator went out which was caused by a leaking valve cover which they replaced the front valve cover and the alternator at no cost. But didnt change the back valve cover which was still leaking as well. Which I would have been more than glad to pay for. Also one day after we got it out the shop now the drivers side floor board is full of water because of something leaking from the sunroof. Which there have been so many complaints about these issues. But all the consumers get stuck footing the bill.

I bought a 0KM Hyundai Tucson here at Argentina, and it had its gear box ruined when an official Hyundai workshop got GL5 oil in it, instead of GL4. GL5 oil eats this type of gear boxes which have yellow metals in it, such as bronze. After this, the gear box started having several problems and malfunctions. They accepted their error but never agreed to replace the entire gear box; they just repaired it instead. By now, they have made two repairs to the gear box, and I am now having several new issues back again. They still dont agree to replace it for a new one. This would be the third time the gear box should get repaired, and the vehicle only has 80.000 KM. I am really disappointed; this is really unfair.

In my family we previously purchased 6 Hyundai vehicles (2006-through 2012). We didnt have a lot of trouble with the first six and we usually traded before the mileage was high. But the last two vehicles have been a nightmare; tires wearing quickly and unevenly even after proper maintenance, 2013 sounds like a truck even though its an Accent etc. During this time we were notified of the great mileage reimbursement program that requires you to jump through hoops to certify, re-certify.... The last straw if you can believe it - one of my cars was repossessed by Hyundai Finance. They claimed they havent received our payments. When both of our banks show that they have received the money for months. Now we have to have our banks go after Hyundai Finance, sign affidavits and try to clear our credit. At this point, they can keep the car, just give me my money (Hyundai Capital Finance).

I went in to take my 2011 Hyundai Sonata in for my lifetime warranty oil change at 7,500 miles. When I picked my car up, Thompson Hyundai charged me $25.96. They said they rotated my tires, which had to be done in order to keep receiving the warranty and the oil change was free.I feel as though they charged me for the oil change. I am very unsatisfied with Hyundai. I feel that every time I take it in for an oil change, they are going to charge me for something else due to the customer having to follow, at a minimum, the factory maintenance guide in order to receive my warranty.I own two Lincoln vehicles that get free lifetime oil changes. When I take these cars in, they change the oil, rotate the tires, and wash the car; all for free. I understand when the car starts getting older and the mileage starts increasing that they are going to be charging me for certain maintenance services. But I feel as though they are ripping people off and they are not giving free oil changes as they said they were. I contacted three people at Hyundai about this issue and they keep telling me that this is their policy.

I purchased a 2007 Hyundai Sonata in 2008. My daughter has a 2006 Hyundai Sonata that she purchased in 2008. Her sun visors broke and hang down in the way. Now my driver side sun visor is broke and hangs down in the way. If this was just one vehicle, I wouldnt think too much about it. But now it has happened to both of us. The metal bar that the sun visor is on just will not turn in the plastic part to go up and down. And the plastic part broke. I did call Hyundai at 800-633-5151 to see if there were any recalls. I was advised by Jared that there were no recalls. I think there needs to be a recall, because I am sure it cannot just be our 2 cars. I did ask if there was anything that could be done. My car is over the year and mileage (64000). Thanks.

Hyundai was unable to assist me in a dispute with the car dealership. I was sold a leased car disguised in a balloon contract. The dealership also lied about the disposition fee, accepted to cut a check for it, then changed their mind. I have tried numerous times to get a hold of somebody from Hyundai and Hyundai Consumer Affairs, but they were powerless. They could not help me and they were unable to reach their own reselling dealership. Had a horrible experience so far and this will make me choose a different company for my next car(s). The car is decent, but the experience dealing with Hyundai is nothing but deplorable.

I was notified after I bought the car that all they give you is a can of spare tire. They do not even have a spare tire kit that you can buy until the end of this summer. The only thing I can buy is a new rim that fits and costs anywhere from $377.00 to $477.00, and thats without the tire. I drive a handicapped person, and this is very unacceptable, especially if something happens that cannot be fixed by spraying spare tire into it. Like I said, I was not told when I bought this car that there was no spare; or I would not have purchased it. I have dealt with Consumer Affairs at Hyundai and got no satisfaction whatsoever. I mentioned that if I was told there was no spare and I would not buy the car for that reason, they would have gone out of their way to give me one. This is very frustrating, since I cant even purchase one because there is no kit designed. I have already taken all their surveys before this was brought to my attention. But I would have told them what I really feel, if I had known. They seem to care, until you have an issue.

I purchased my 3rd brand new Hyundai in 2005. I have always chose Hyundai models as I believed in your vow of Americas best warranty although I had always paid them off and traded them in around 60,000 miles. I did make a decision to hold onto my most recent Hyundai which is a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon. I am a extremely anal when it comes to maintenance, to the point friends and family mock me. No one but the dealership has EVER been under the hood of any of my Hyundais. I have even taken it to them to have air put in the tires. I never missed a maintenance and am always at the dealership within the 3 months - 3,000 miles with checkbook in hand asking them to do whatever is necessary to maintain the warranty, value of the vehicle and to keep my car running. I just had the 2005 Tiburon in for scheduled service in April 2014. As always, this service department who had handled all my cars over the past 20 years said the car was in impeccable shape. Memorial day 2014 (a little over a month later), while driving I turned on the air. Within 5 minutes it started to jerk and sputter, smoke started to rise from under the hood and all my dashboard lights came on. I pulled over and called a tow. The next day I was in shock when the service manager called and said the engine had blew. I was not concerned with the cost as it was still 20,000 miles and 1 year under warranty. When I asked how this had happened, he said the car had a small leak in the radiator which caused it to overheat. I begged for answers on how this could happen. How I would have known there was a slow leak and if there was light that should have warned me and how the engine could have blown from overheating. Nothing Greg from Hyundai City said made sense to me on how I could have done anything different to prevent this. All he could say was because I had driven the car for an extended period of time, while overheating it would not be covered under the warranty and the cost would be about $3,000. There was literally minutes between realizing something was wrong and when the car died on the side of the road. There was not a single sign before this moment that would have led me to know something was wrong. He also went on to explain because the radiator wasnt covered and this is what ultimately caused the damage, they could not possibly cover the cost. I have no words. I have sent countless customers to this dealership as well as given Hyundai 60,000 plus dollars worth of business. They know how meticulous I am about service and have all my records. The car had 80,000 miles on it and just a month earlier was told the car was in perfect condition and now it sits with a blown engine without any fault of my own. I could not have done anything more to maintain the car or meet the warranty criteria. I did file a case with Hyundai but based on what Greg has told them I received an email stating that they will not honor the warranty. I am heartbroken and have no idea why the company I was so faithful to would treat me, let alone any customer this way. I have no words. I had no doubt that Hyundai would do the right thing but I am growing less and less faithful. I have no idea how this happened to my car and the company who can make this right refuses to. I know losing one customer is not a big deal to you but at the end of the day your integrity is all you have whether it be with one person or millions. It is all the same.

Their cars will leave you on the side of the road one day with no help. If they promise something get it in writing. If they recall something it will go to banks mailbox not yours so you have to check recalls yourself. They tell you when you buy a vehicle they if they need to fix it they will give you a loaner vehicle when its broke down. No loaner is given with extended warranty. They find a way to avoid it. They say they reimburse you for rental vehicles. They dont even have a department that reimburses you. Get everything in writing. I can tell you right now every 5k miles alignment was off. My shocks struts only lasted 20k. Replaced 3 times now. Tires wearing wrong since owned. The vehicle dealer alignment doesnt fix it unless you get alignment every 2 oil changes. Air intake funnel before the filter isnt really attached. Just sits there in front of snorkel transmission.Shifts rough when its cold. Their tint they offer always bubbles. The air conditioning smells like mildew shortly after you drive off the lot and every 5k miles after they fix it. Not sure how they fix it but comes right back. The gas mileage they state only lasts 10k miles. After that its about 5 to 10 less even with recommended tire inflation. The paint is horrible. Chips and flakes at 30k. Wiper blades need replacing. Right when you buy the vehicle motors are noisy of the lot and only get worse. The hybrid battery needs replacing at 60k and depending on how often you drive it voids your warranty and if you dont keep more than 30 miles of gas in your car at all times it voids warranty. The first day I drove off the lot my back passenger door lock started buzzing really loud every time I went from park to drive or lock the doors and they had to order the part. Took 2 weeks to get it fixed from day I took it in. Inside cabin is super noisy of outside traffic noise and tires when getting up to freeway speeds. I should have took a test drive on freeway because that would have been a deal breaker. Thats about it. Cant wait to get out of this vehicle. 5 recalls in the first year feel like this car is always at the dealership service department.

I had problems with my vanity mirror on the passenger side, and the service manager of Doral Hyundai denied service, telling me it was the consequence of the normal use of the car. In reality, Hyundai advertises 60,000 miles and 5-year bumper to bumper. My 2008 Sonata was purchased in October 2007, and the odometer shows less than 23000 miles. I called the service attendants in headquarters, and they agreed with the service manager. This is a violation of the warranty, and Hyundai is lying in advertising the ten-year warranty, especially the 5-year bumper to bumper. If this response stands, every claim for service after one year can be considered product or the proper use of the car. If a compromise is not reached, I will never again consider Hyundai an option to buy a car.

I havent had this car two years yet. I had work done on one of them on yesterday and by the afternoon, it was running okay before I took it in. Now the front end is shaking. Thinking of taking it to another dealer, and see what they say, and trading it. Too many problems for a car not owned two years yet and hours to fix and no replacement in doing it.

I recently and painfully purchased a new elantra limited. Painfully, because of all the runaround I encountered and despite having researched extensively, still having gotten screwed financially. Dont look for any fairness at Hyundai in Pittsburgh, cause they wear you out with the run around, even if youre trading in a Hyundai sonata that was supposed to keep its value. The sale price for the car may be $21000, but it ended up costing me over $25000 with a trade in. And should I be upset about having blowout flat tire at 533miles, especially when both Hyundai and the tire manufacturer Hankook both deny the defectiveness of their cheap tires? It appears that since Hyundai is dependent on the dealerships to sell their cars, they are Willing to give them some slack on dishonoring the warranties, including on their defective tires. Defective tires can lead to accidents and death! I suppose it will take a certain amount of death to occur before Hyundai takes some action like GM had to. I thought Hyundai was better than that, but apparently not!

My wife purchased a 2006 NEW Hyundai Sonata. We have always been avid AM News Listeners and from day 1 the radio was worse than Poor for AM. We complained and complained and all they ever said was that the antenna in the rear window was a poor design for an antenna and that was the problem. Well, my wife just purchased a New 2014 Hyundai Sonata and I took the 2006 - since I drive far less miles annually - and now I was determined to get to the problem. When I would drive the car sometimes going over a bump on the road would instantly increase the radios reception but it would last then go back to crappy again. Sometimes as I would start the car and back out of the garage the reception would be great - then 5 minutes later it was back to crap. One day, in the garage, as I was backing out - the reception was jumping back and forth from Poor - Good - Poor to Good - so I whacked the dashboard over the radio with my hand and there was DEAD SILENCE. I turned the car off and then back on and the radio came on but with the typical Weak reception.I purchase the Haynes/Chilton Auto Repair Guide, for the 2006 Hyundai as well a CD Hyundai Shop Manuals, and watched several YouTube videos on how to remove the radio. With the radio removed and exposed - but connected - I started wiggling/moving the antenna cable around and sure enough the reception would go to Great - Poor - and NONE. As I was holding the radio with one hand and changing the station with the other hand I also noticed that if my hand squeezed or put pressure on the top and bottom of the radio - on the Antenna connection side - (in order to hold the radio) the Reception might also go from Great to Poor to None.I could see that the antenna cable connector was CHEAP looking with the center core of the cable soldered - but the Ground wires were crimped and DID NOT look there was a good connection. So I went to Radio Shack and purchased another Motorola Antenna Connector and re-did the connection to the cable. With the radio still exposed and the antenna cable connected with the new Radio Shack connector the radio sounded great. And squeezing didnt seem to have any effect as before. So I put the radio back in and left the pods on the sides of the radio disconnected - temporarily. The measured depth of the New Radio Shack Connector was slightly Longer than the original Cable Connector so it was putting some pressure on the cable and the connection and the radio began to act -up again when installed so I removed the radio (which removed the pinching pressure on the cable) and the radio worked fine.So now it is possible that there is a bad connection, internally, on the Female part of the Antenna cable connection to the radio. I tested the continuity for the Ground and hot points to the cable connection - while I had the radio out and they tested OK - but the test was not under a pressure stress, either. So the bottom line is that Hyundai Continues to LIE and ** about the AM Radio Problems with the 2006 Sonatas. Unlike the most recent excuse from Hyundai Service at Lester Glenn in Toms River, New Jersey, the problem is NOT with the Rear Window-Designed Antenna - its the cheap Connectors, Crappy Radios and the ** Service people who dont want to do their job of fixing your car under warranty. My wife took out the 100,000 miles / 10 year Bumper to Bumper Extended Warranty with Hyundai when she bought the car so now - After 6-8 Hours of MY TIME and the expenses to buy workshop materials - I am going to raise Hell with Hyundai USA!

The car is very durable but it makes noises on transmission changes especially when the eco boost is on. The dealership I went to was great. The salesperson was very knowledgeable on the car and the process was easy. The car was everything I was looking for with a little bit of an upgrade. I purchased a brand new 2017 Hyundai Tucson on Nov 29 2018. Right now it only has 14300 kms on it. I was driving down a divided highway 6 in the morning with no one else on it besides myself and my child in the vehicle when my rear window exploded into my car sending glass all over my 2 yr old in his car seat. I was right in front of the Police station when it happened and no one was around... Hyundai says that it came from a impact but since I was the only one on the road there was no way that I could have got hit in the rear window. I took pics and brought the car to the dealership and gave them it to them... THEY NEVER even inspected my vehicle, they just emailed the pics to head office where they said it was from a impact. HOW DO YOU TELL THAT IT WAS FROM A IMPACT WHEN YOU NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT THE CAR TO SEE. I have called places that repairs windows like speedy glass and they even said that it could be from a short in the defrost in the rear window that caused it to explode. Since this happened I have had no satisfaction with this broken rear windshield... Myself and my child were very startled and no one from Hyundai has even done anything but send a email off. I am so very disgusted in the complete lack of everything. This has to be the worst service I have ever had... They never even offered to look over the car, never offered a loaner to get around in and never even offered to make sure the rear window was sealed up so the snow and rain would not get in.Right now I would never buy a car from Hyundai again. My child is scared to even go near this little toy cars because of the fright. I am even afraid of putting him back into the car because if it is a short in the electrical that caused the window to explode, will cause it to happen again... I hope that this message tells the truth behind the LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. All I want is my rear windshield replaced at no cost to me... And I want people to actually look over the problem before they say what caused it. YOU CANT SAY WHAT HAPPENED THROUGH A PIC AND NOT LOOK AT THE PROBLEM ITSELF... I can keep going on about this but I think I made my point. I hope that something gets done with this message.

Hyundai treated me with total disregard regarding my disposition fee being extended. I had a hip injury and need a hip replacement. Therefore, it would be foolish to get a new car and not be able to drive it. They were not understanding at all and was only interested in the disposition fee being paid to them. I paid the fee and wrote a letter asking if they would reimburse me the $439.05 until September 2019 when I would be able to drive again and purchase a new car from them at that time. They refused me and showed no compassion or consideration to me at all. It was all about the money they wanted. The whole disposition fee is to repair the car of any problems or cosmetic issues. My car was UNDER 13,500 miles which definitely improves the value of the car. I’m the only one that drove it and it was taken perfect care of. I even had an oil change done on it and filled the car up with gas the day I turned it in. The gentleman at Circle Hyundai said he never saw a car returned that still looked brand new. I will NEVER buy another Hyundai and will be sure to tell my family & friends of the total disregard they gave me. I was never treated so badly by a Corporation in my life. That did it for me and Hyundai.

Beware brand new vehicle tire blow out!!!! To make a long story short, I am a car enthusiast and previously a Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Mazda, and Volkswagen buyer. After hearing my co-workers speak well about the Hyundai product I decided to give it a try and went well for a few years until a couple of months ago. Just recently accompanied my in-laws to purchase their 2019 Hyundai Sante Fe Limited, shortly after a couple months ago they had a side wall blow out from the right rear tire by simply going down the road without striking any debris or objects on the road with only having 2000 miles on there new car! We were prompted to call the tire manufacture by the dealers service department to find out it was Continental Tires when owners manual stated we were suppose to have Hankook or Kumho tires? Called Continental and AND THEY STATED TIRES DO NOT HAVE ANY WARRANTY!!!! I WILL (NEVER) BUY ANY CONTINENTAL TIRES OR A HYUNDAI AGAIN! Due to the fact that manufacturers dont care about consumers safety or welfare, this tire blowout was very similar to the Firestone defective tires back in the day that caused many lives sadly. Basically if Hyundai is putting a tires on there cars that are defective and neither want to take responsibly by making it right for the consumer, frankly its not worth buying!! My In-laws sadly ended up paying for a new tire $258.00 plus install because Continental said their tires have no warranty! I just recently finishing purchasing a new Mazda, and when my in-laws are done with this Hyundai it will be their last!! FYI also you might want to have it in writing on new car tire warranty because this was a lesson learned experience with tires, reason for buying new cars is so that you dont have to be buying parts, tires, or car repair. Hopefully this will help someone in the near future. Thank you for reading.

There has been problems with the suspension on this 2007 Santa Fe since 2010 with very low mileage. It took 5 to 6 visits before the dealer would even admit a problem. Problems with tie rods, lower arm assembly, stabilizer links, lateral arms bilaterally with no resolution of clunking metal to metal sound from front of vehicle. Now that the car is out of warranty supposedly, the dealer conveniently finds the lower arm on the right needs replaced. Hyundai needs to admit to widespread suspension problems without dragging on until out of warranty. I still have 100,000 mile warranty with only 80,600 miles but supposedly, this is not a covered service even though it all started at 48,000 miles.

Id like to bring to your attention a series of events that reflect a negative attitude and disrespect towards customer of Hyundai Motor Finance by the employees of HMF. In September 2012, I financed a vehicle through Hyundai Motor Finance. For reasons beyond my control, I have been past due on my $550 monthly payment since last November. I have, however, made every attempt to make sure my payment was received before the 30 days late to ensure I dont receive a negative credit history. I made my last payment on April 27, 2013 26 days late. However, HMF placed my account at over 30 days past due which I know will reflect negatively on my credit.I have now accumulated several late fees, and I understand that. My biggest complaint is the approx. 10-12 harassing phone calls I get, sometimes on a daily basis! Customer service employees, as well as their supervisors, seem to be oblivious to what the customer is telling them. They are rude, disrespectful, and completely inattentive to customers trying to work through difficult times. I am positive that the number of consumer complaints towards Hyundai Motor Finance is already hurting Hyundais business model. I had such a wonderful experience with the salesman and dealership I purchase my car from; its just a shame that relationship is being destroyed by the finance division of your company. Somebody do something to correct this awful experience!

I currently own a 2005 Hyundai Sonata but decided to get a new car 2 years ago. Not knowing what I really wanted, I decided to lease a new 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT. Prior to the end of the lease in January 2019, I received a letter from the dealership stating that they will cover termination fees, excess wear and tear, disposition fees and over mileage fees. I leased a new 2018 Hyundai Kona in August of 2018. To my surprise, I recently received a bill from Hyundai Motor Finance Company for over $1,300. I have made countless phone calls to both the dealership and finance company to no avail. The dealer says they have done everything they can and do not understand the charges, the finance company says that they are just going by my contract and here I am stuck in the middle with a bill. I ended up paying the balance for loss of sale, a term I heard only after turning in the car. The Hyundai Motor Finance Company has even charged me $65.00 a hubcap for curb rash; $260 just for hubcaps! When speaking with one of their representatives, she explained that they want the car back in the same condition I got it in; In other words, they do not accept normal wear and tear. They are a third party just like any other bank and really dont have anything to do with what dealerships tells me. Unless you are willing to read all the fine print in your contract at the dealership, which is kind of hard because all they really want is to have you walk away with a car, take the contract home and read it before you sign for after it has your signature, you are legally bound to its terms. Dont expect the dealership to explain to you important terms like loss of sale; the difference you are responsible for if the car is not sold at auction for a price that covers the remainder of the lease balance. Call the Lease End department before you turn in the car and arrange for a pre-inspection so you can fix everything at a fraction of the cost. I could have replaced all four hubcaps for less than $100. I now purchased the excess wear and tear insurance for the new vehicle; lets see how that goes?

I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra and car just went over a small pothole and my tire was flat. I used Hyundai roadside assistance and they towed the car to the nearest dealership. They also say that in case of a flat tire, we can drive around 50 miles to the nearest dealer as these are all tubeless tires and would still run with a flat tire. Well that is exactly what I did and I drove for 3 miles and the car started wobbling and I had to stop as I had my baby inside my car. Hyundai has free roadside assistance and this is why I cancelled my roadside assistance plan with my insurance. However there is a catch here - the car gets towed to the Hyundai dealer (in this case Patrick Hyundai in Schaumburg) who then makes sure that they rip the customer off so that they do not have to bear the cost of the tow. They told that the wheel itself had to be replaced. The rim was banged up and they had to replace the wheel. If was the roadside assistance of an auto insurer, we could have towed the car to any mechanic near us and they would have fixed the wheel. But now as my car is in the Hyundai dealership, I have to replace the part. The wheel gets banged up when it goes on a pretty small pothole? What kind of a wheel is this? The tire is not damaged at all but the wheel rim is damaged. How could this happen. Either Hyundai wheels are not good quality or the dealership is trying to rip off the customer to make up for the towing expense.I wanted to take the wheel to a different workshop to see what they would say but I badly needed the car today and I had to travel tomorrow morning. So I asked the dealer to go ahead and change the wheel. Overall I am unhappy. I am warning all my friends about this as many people fall for the 10 year warranty and free roadside assistance and 8.95 oil change.

I built a 2017 Hyundai Tucson 2.0 SE AWD online and I got the quote $331.11 a month. Now, when I physically visited one of your Hyundai branches, I got a different monthly payment for the exact same vehicle. The monthly payment is $421.66 a month!!! I accepted winter package ($1600 value) to be added to the car original price. However, I dont think this will have a difference of almost a $90 a month for 24 months! How come this is happening? Why is that difference for? Can you explain.

I just purchased a 2012 Accent. I drive 40 miles to work on the interstate every day. Once I reach 70 mph, my car starts to swerve to the point I almost run into the other lanes. When I try to correct the car, it gets worse. One time, I almost ran a car off the road. Terrified to drive, I took the car into the dealership and was told its my electric power steering. I was told theres nothing they could do to help me. They told me I need to get use to the sensitive steering. Seriously! I was told by the dealership the sensitive steering does not change even at high speeds. If I turn my steering wheel a little bit, my car will go in that direction very fast. This is very dangerous. Hyundai needs to fix this problem before someone gets hurt.

2021 iconic does not support Apple phones even though they have Apple iplay icon in car. USB port does not work either. Although there is one in the car. Salespeople do not know this. Salesperson said my iPhone would work in the car. It does not. I sent an email to customer service. The form letter they sent back said they put what they feel the customer wants in the car. Really? Do you believe the customer doesn’t want to be able to use iPhones (really). And I mean any generation iPhone. I cannot use my phone GPS with Apple iplay or even my phone. Why would anyone not want to be able to use their iphone functions in a 2021 new car. No help or assistance from dealer or Hyundai. Will never buy a Hyundai again. They do not stand by their cars or even offer any type of resolution. Beware.

I bought a new 2016 Hyundai Veloster in June 2017. This bad smell would come and go. At that point youd smell the damp smell on your clothes and hair the test of the day. Well that week in June there had been lots of rain, car smell came back. Took the car to the dealership on July 24 for oil change. 25th took the car in for them to investigate the smell. Had a water leak at the roof of the car, where the seal didnt bond the glass roof to the frame. Water had gotten into the car and floor was soaked. Him ** ordered a new roof, carpet, Sun visors, and headliner. Called me to come pick up the car. The car still had the smell. I know firsthand I smelt like the car many off times. Had to go in public smelling like sour mildew from this car. I wasnt happy. Manufacturer refused to stand by its product by honoring what was wrong. Ruet treated me like it was my fault something was wrong with the car. The car needed everything material and electric replaced. She even contacted the dealership to see if the car was drivable with the mold and mildew. My health wasnt an issue to them. The Veloster roofs can leak and cause mold and mildew and that horrible smell. Clothes ruined by that smell. Cant get them rid of the smell as they sat in the car as my back up clothes from walking. I still have the paperwork from the car that smells and it was in the glove box.

Actually, Ive 2 problems with my Verna 2012 car (15,000k) only. The first one is related to the dinamo; it doesnt keep any charge if I left my car for only one day! The second is that sometime when I switch off the contact, it doesnt switch off the car and I should repeat this for 3 or 4 times! This is not the first time to complain to Hyundai. Ive a problem before after 5000k, and it is solved after visiting the maintenance center 3 times! This time is the same. Eng. ** from the maintenance center (Egypt, Cairo) sees that the car has no problem at all.

The dealership put in a request to the main Hyundai office to have this replaced or fixed; they rejected the request and advised me to use the hand brake. I contacted the Hyundai office about this and they were very rude and told me this is normal on any cars. What can I do about this very serious issue?

I bought a 2007 Hyundai Elantra in 2012. In 2013 I started having problems with getting the car to start. I took it to the dealership and was told I needed to have the Immobilizer Module fixed. I paid $400 to have them replaced and I was told I would have to wait for the little security symbol to appear on the dash before turning the key so the car would start. Even months after having this fixed it would still not start even after waiting for the stupid symbol to appear. It would take several tries. Then a few months later one of my back passenger door handles broke and you couldnt open the door. Fine, whatever... no one ever sits in the backseat anyway. Then the A/C died and I wasnt paying to have that fixed. Then in July 2015 I am driving down the freeway and I felt a thud and thought I had run over something. I looked in the rear view mirror but there was nothing on the road. I got to my destination and when I restarted the car, the engine light was on. I really didnt want to take it to the dealership so I took it to a mechanic and he scanned it and a code for the Shift Solenoid came up. He suggested I take it to this transmission specialist place. I ended up paying $1000 to have the Shift Solenoids replaced. A week later, Im driving and feel that thud again. Back to the transmission place. They tell me that it could be something internal with the transmission. Nice to know after I just dropped $1000 on this piece of **. I finally take it to Hyundai and leave it with them for the day. The service guy calls me and gives me a list as long as my arm of things wrong with the car... one being that the transmission is failing and the Immobilizer Module that I had fixed in 2013 needs replaced. In total, it was going to cost $5000 to fix all that was wrong with the car. EFF THAT. I went and bought a new car and it wasnt a Hyundai.

One major deficiency with Hyundai USA customer service is some of the Reps who answer customers questions provide wrong and misleading answer, and this could hurt and harm both customer and the company. I did get wrong answers to my questions several times. One Rep who has a clear understanding of Hyundai warranty did provide me with the correct answer after I have made several attempts until I lucked out with one customer Rep among many who resolved the issue. Hyundai dealer should also have known what is and is not covered under the warrant. Hyundai did agree that the work done should have been covered under the warrant and now the dealer will reimburse me for the charges that occurred in 2013. I do admire the fact that this particular Customer service Rep, he/she did not provide his/her name, was honest enough and put the effort to resolve the problem. I am now very satisfied with the resolution and will definitely consider purchasing another Hyundai car, assuming they invest in training the Customer Service Dept. as well as the authorized dealers on the various aspects of the 100,000/10 years warranty.

On June 14, 2014, around 7:30 p.m. I started up Sideling Hill in Maryland. My car -- 2004 Hyundai Elantra slowly started to lose speed. As I looked at the speedometer, I noticed it was declining to 40 mph and accelerating did no good. Suddenly smoke started to come out of the drivers rear section and the oil light came on. I immediately pulled over and stopped. The car did not start again. I had it towed back to my home area to a repair shop that the two driver recommended. The guy looked at it and called me that week and said the oil pump was gone and it needed a new engine. I decided to get a second opinion and had the car towed to another mechanic. He said that he ran a couple of tests and that it needed a new engine.... not sure if it does or if neither wanted to fool with it. Anyway, I decided I need my car (single, 62 years old and have elderly parents who live at a distance). The mechanic ordered a used engine in decent condition but it was a 2002 that would fit my 2004. When they got it and started to put it in, it did not fit as my engine had a variable down timer and the 2002 did not. However, when the mechanic checked the engines that would fit my car as well as checking with the salvage yard and my VIN both found that a 2002 should fit my car. However, it does not as evidently my car -- a 2004 was fitted with a 2003 engine. So no instead of having my car finished July 4th week, it is again waiting for another engine, which is extremely difficult to find. Its been going on a month; I have family in the area. My friends are all gone and/or working during the day while Im at home. So, Ive been taking public transportation (cabs) for errands, which of course is inconvenient and costly. I emailed Hyundai and of course, I received a canned reply saying the usual. Ive had the car and overall its done well but Im frustrated that they would fit cars like this and then it comes back to haunt the consumer -- me. Of course, it doesnt help that Sears did a tune-up awhile back and didnt mention that there might be something wrong with the engine. The mechanic who now has my car says that it was running on only one piston -- the tune up was done a year ago. Last year, the rep at Sears had wanted me to have my anti-freeze and steering fluid replaced and I had said not at that time. Another post I had read mentioned that he had a similar issue as a result of his anti-freeze leaking. Im wondering if Sears did not replace the lids or valves back correctly. Anyway, Ive got a major expense on my hands and am currently unemployed. But my main concern is that I cannot get out in case of an emergency. So my car is still at the mechanics going on week 4 now. And there is no sign of finding an engine that will fit the car as it is.

My experience with Hyundai has been one I wouldnt have expected from a reputable company. I was told I couldnt get any assistance with a car I purchased from them in April 2017. Three months after purchasing the car it was in the shop for a check engine issue. I took the car back to see why it was on when I had just purchased the vehicle. Since then my car has been in the shop a total of 8 times to date. I will continue to expose the misrepresentation Hyundai provides to the public on a daily basis with their commercials and other advertisement. As a consumer we all deserve to have the products we pay for to be operable and in good condition. Nelson a representative of Hyundai informed me I would not have any further resolution if I spoke with a manager because they would only listen to him in regards to my complaint directly. I feel every time someone drives a Hyundai vehicle their lives are in jeopardy due to the negligence on production. My car has been in the shop now for over two months to replace an engine that has been replaced for the second time in a year. I can assure you I will never recommend Hyundai products again to anyone. Do not purchase any Hyundai vehicles no matter what they offer you!!!

In just three months the car has visited the repair shop countless number of times and now it is not moving because the ECM is dead. Prior to this time the car was always vibrating and it shuts off while driving. This is the most dangerous fault. It could stop you anywhere even if you are on the express. Finally, I spoke with Hyundai corporate, and they said once the dealership mechanic makes a call about a problem, they can not change it even though I sent them pictures of the car with zero damage. There is a small scrape on the bumper that the dealership is saying broke an $800 part. I asked Hyundai corporate if I could send the part to their engineering team, and I even offered to pay the shipping, but they said no. The main issues I have with the vehicle are fairly minor, although some could potentially be a major issues. When creating a rear deck for transporting items, the rear passenger seats dont fold down perfectly flat. I ended up building my own slide-in deck to compensate for the slightly lifted rear passenger seats. The adaptive cruise control seems a bit laggy adapting, but that is probably why the manual says it cant be trusted if theres a difference in speed between vehicles over 35 mph.I also live in California where motorcycle lane splitting is legal. The problem is it can confuse the adaptive cruise control. Very frequently Ill be going 40 mph (rush hour traffic on a freeway) and a motorcyclist will blast by in between the lanes at 60+ mph. About 50% of the time the cruise control will start tracking the lane-splitting bike and suddenly accelerate, potentially causing my vehicle to smash into the vehicle ahead of it which is only going 40 mph. Fortunately, the cruise control has always been buggy enough so I typically keep it on a short leash anyway, ready to brake. But it is a potentially dangerous annoyance. Im not sure whether its just bad luck, but my Santa Fe has been broken into more in the first year of ownership than in all the other vehicles Ive had since I started driving 40+ years ago. Its probably because its new looking and its an SUV which has no lockable trunk. But here is the problem with the vehicle: In all cases when my vehicle has been broken into, Ive been less than 100 to 50 feet away and heard nothing. In the last instance, I heard glass breaking but no alarm. As far as I can tell the alarm is useless. The blinking light on the dash is just a bad joke. Im definitely looking into some aftermarket alarms now. If there had been an alarm, as it claims to have, then I would have been alerted and been able to stop the burglary. I know this to be true because I stopped a theft on my prior vehicle because its horn went off when the window was broken, and I ran right out and chased off the burglar before he was able to carry off anything. Also, although I know this a problem of all SUVs, it would be nice to have a secure, lockable cargo area. As it is, anyone breaking into the car can easily steal anything as there is no place to hide anything, except the glove compartment. Also, when I see vehicles that have been in rear-end accidents, the vehicle doing the rear-ending usually takes most of the damage, with a crumpled hood and such. When my Hyundai was rear-ended at low speed by a sedan half its size, my SUV somehow got most of the damage. The auto repair shop sent the insurance company a $5000 bill. Which it paid, but still that suggests a fairly serious bumper design issue. Even the first vehicle I owned from 1980, a Toyota Tercel, would have not sustained that much damage if it had been hit similarly in the rear. Of course it also had thick rubber bumpers, but still, this is a $45K vehicle.

I will start with I love my car, it’s a beautiful blue, fits my family well and it is a delight to drive, when it worked, but I am saddened by how my newer vehicle had a catastrophic failure with all warnings and bells that are supposed to come in play, not work and leave my young child and I sit on the side of the road on a hot day, and then get the run around between corporate and the dealership. I am an essential worker and I must get to work and get my child to and from care daily. I am being told my car is listed as a rental car, um, we bought this car from a dealer for our family car. I work at an accounting firm, this car is not a rental. It gets my little family to and from point A to point B, so someone needs to correct this paperwork error which we have been asking for. Second, I am being told that my vehicle’s warranty doesn’t move to the second owner yet. On our purchase paperwork it states in 1 place that we have the factory warranty with the purchase and in a second place it states in very large font, WARRANTY INCLUDED, the dealer will pay 100% of the labor and 100% of the parts for the balance of the factory warranty of 10 years or 100k miles. We had the vehicle towed to the dealer per what the engineer at corporate advised my husband to do. It has been a week and we are getting the run around on if anything will be fixed and if we can even get a loaner car. We work overlapping times on the other sides of the county and cannot possibly share a vehicle. Unable to find rides every day, one of us had to miss multiple days of work dealing with this. My car is a 4 year old Hyundai Tucson that is equipped to warn you if you have low tire pressure, a door is ajar, oil is low and so on and so on. Somehow, no warning at all, and very on time oil changes, my car made an odd noise going up a hill, and then it died. The engine seized. How can something like that happen on a 4 year old car, less than 100k miles and none of its warnings throwing red flags and there wasn’t any codes either. Did I mention my husband is a mechanic. This is not normal and I don’t understand why we are getting the run around between the dealer and corporate. A loaner car should have been approved immediately along with the warranty work. I want to be able to continue enjoying my car that I’m still paying for. :(

I would like to tell you about the service I received Hyundai in Downingtown, PA. I recently took my 2013 Hyundai Tucson for an oil change and state inspection which I was impress of how quickly it was taken care of. They provided great service and I was happy to return for more service. Due to a poor wheel alignment the service department had recommended that I replace my rear driver tire so that my car can pass inspection. When I left the dealership I heard a loud noise from the back tires. At first I thought it was from a wheel alignment that they recommended I needed. During the week, I notice the noise getting much louder to the point where I felt it was unsafe to drive. I went online to see if there was an appointment available but there wasnt so I decided to go to my local Firestone to get a second opinion. I described the noise and how a wheel alignment was recommended. During their inspection, they discovered that my new tire that was replaced by Hyundai was extremely loose and only hand tighten. I am so disappointed because I really thought I received great service especially being the end of the day but instead my life was at risk. I seen it for myself how the lugs were only hand tighten and the wheel shook by touch. This is my second Hyundai vehicle and second Hyundai dealership that Ive dealt with and I was never disappointed until now. I was able to speak to the service manager which he kindly took the time to see the vehicle. In return of risking my life he offered a complimentary oil change and to speak with the mechanic who worked on my vehicle because apparently thats what my life is worth. I will never trust the service of Hyundai again. I can only hope they will learn from this situation so that other customers will not be at risk.

Hi, just wanted to share with experience Ive had with Hyundai. I have encountered several issues with my Equus, both with the 2011 and the 2014 models. With the 2011, it was serviced a multitude of times, concluding with the installment of a new compressor. However, the cooling (or lack thereof) issue still remained. When that lease ended, I was assured that the A/C issues with the Equus had been rectified. In good faith, I leased a new 2014 Equus, and much to my dismay, the A/C issues were NOT resolved! So, here I am, AGAIN, in the same exact predicament! Hyundai insists on continuing to deny this problem exists and continues to market inferior products. Any consumer can read the blogs on the internet and clearly see that there is a definite A/C problem with the Hyundai models, including the Equus! Hyundai is lessening their credibility in continuing to deny this issue exists! Hyundai needs to step up to the plate and stop denying that they do not have an A/C problem with this vehicle. They MUST do the right thing. Otherwise, their reputation will be at stake. Recurring customers like me will no longer return, and unfortunately for Hyundai, we will tell others about the poor service and callous treatment we received and of our negative experience.

My wife got scammed on a lease at a disgraceful Hyundai dealership in Gurnee, IL (avoid at ALL COSTS). She ending up overpaying by $7,000 on a Kona for no reason. The Kona which she was going to buy outright until they convinced her to lease, should have been $24,445. Its on Hyundais website. She ended up paying over $32,000 before tax on the lease. We complained to Hyundai customer service, but were told that there was nothing they would do to help. As such, we will never be buying a Hyundai again and will be recommending to our friends and family the they avoid them also. Although its not Hyundais fault that my wife got scammed, if they are allowing scammers to sell their product then they are culpable. It is a shame because we previously had a Hyundai and had been happy with it. If they are unwilling to help their customers however then we are unwilling to be their customers.

That is literally the most insane thing Ive ever heard in my life. I have already been without a car for several days and now I find out I wont have my car for 4-6 weeks?? I will be in a rental. This is causing me an enormous amount of stress and is inconveniencing me beyond belief. Not to mention all this time I have been driving a literal death trap. It could have caught fire at any moment. I am literally trying not to think about that for my own mental health. Imagine if I did not manage to get my car serviced before my long trip and it exploded on the road and killed me or someone I love. I am truly beside myself at how bad of a company Hyundai is. I want them to contact me and let me know how they will make this right. For starters, I expect a reimbursement on my car payment for the time I will not have my car. Why am I paying for something I cant even drive? This is insane.

To make a long story short I would not buy a Hyundai ever again. My car caught on fire November 2019. I dealt with recalls after recalls. Also there are many other stories of peoples Hyundai’s catching on fire as well. They obviously don’t think of the safety of their customers.

We loved our 2006 Hyundai up until a few months ago. The check engine light came on at slightly more than 50,000 miles so we took it in for service. It has been back 3 times to the tune of $1300 plus, somehow needed all new brakes, canister close valve replaced (supposed reason for light being on), and the check engine light is still on. The last time we took it back they said the gas cap was loose. The light stayed off for about three days then came back on again. We had four different people check the gas cap, but it stayed on. We then went out to get a new gas cap -- light is still on and the car has a ticking sound that it did not have before the service.I have called customer service three times -- they are nice, but do nothing -- sent a FedEx letter to corporate -- it was refused by their mail room -- so will now take the car to a regular mechanic who can perhaps find the problem. DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI!!! They run great until a problem comes up and then the service is not there. We used the Danbury Dealership in CT, but have heard the one in Vero Beach, FL is just as bad.
