My previous Honda 2001 went through to 107,000 miles with only a loose transmission fluid hose. Amazing! This is not the case with my 2007 EX-L V6. The car was in four (4) repairs while on warranty! It had bad leather finish sticking out, rattle in rear door due to bad hinge, bad front brakes pulsating, complete failure of the whole AC system (the car was in repair almost two weeks for that one alone). Disgusting quality! Now, I did notice when the car was nearing the warranty end, I heard front cooling fans running long after the car shutdown. I got concerned and disconnected the fan wire and connected again, and the problem went away. A few weeks ago, my battery died. I put a new battery. I just noticed that my fan keeps running again for hours when the car is off. Turns out, there is something going on with relays. I am looking forward to dump this lemon as soon as I have enough money. I am not going back to Honda and I am educating everyone how bad Honda quality has become.

We brought our leased 2010 Honda Accord EX-L in for a routine oil change and were told that the rear brakes needed replacing. We only have 29,500 miles on the car and were told that we would have to pay for the brake job. This is the 5th Honda Accord we have leased and we never had a problem like this. Our lease is up in November of this year and we are having second thoughts about another Honda lease. Being a front wheel drive vehicle, why are the rear brakes worn and not the front brakes?

I really like Honda. I am very happy with the purchase. I had other cars but I feel this one is less expensive in maintaining. I like the comfort and easy maintenance. Also has some automatic feature which are great. The chairs are nice and enough space for legs. However, there can be some improvements by adding more power to the car. For the price the car is good but still I will like the speed to be able to increase faster when I press the pedal. Other than that, I like everything about it and I want to buy another one.

When I bought my Honda CRV I leased for the first time and after 3 months I paid the car off early. I sent in what I needed for the title and I have called 5 times regarding where it is. I was told it was mailed out a few weeks ago and if I dont receive it I will have to pay $60.00 to get another shipped out. First of all I didnt know about all the sale tax I had to pay, plus I just paid my car off after three months! I think I had 12 Hondas since 1999. I feel I shouldnt have to deal with all the stress to get a title plus I am a good customer. I am so upset and I dont have the time to deal with all this. Once again I do what Im suppose to do and now Im stuck!

When driving on the interstate, my check engine light started flashing. I continued driving to get off the highest and since there was no noise or any change in performance, I assumed it would have been fine. Two minutes later, my car (07 Accord V6) shut itself off. I had it towed to an independent garage where I was told a spark plug had somehow came loose, fell through the cylinder, and exploded inside my engine. Now Im trying to decide what makes the most sense for a repair, to replace the engine or take apart the head and replace that and hope the ganging ring need to be replaced anyway. Good job, Honda for keeping such a reliable name. Out of all the people I have talked to, nobody has seen this happen.

I bought a 2013 Honda CRV. The battery would drain after 2-3 days of sitting idle. I got it checked repeatedly at the Honda service department when I bought the vehicle. They kept saying the parasitic draw was within specification, and to disconnect the battery cables if it was going to sit for more than 2 days. So each time I park the car on a Sunday and dont move again until Friday (I walk to work), I have to disconnect the cables, or use a solar charger (I park underground heated parking at my condo). They said it was fine and just to drive it more, for 1.5 hrs at a time every couple days to charge up the battery. Ridiculous! I own two other vehicles (different brands) and they can sit for a couple weeks and start no problem. Never had this before, and have since heard it is common on Hondas. I traded it in for a different vehicle and will never buy a Honda again. Honda Canada customer department refused to acknowledge the problem, as did the dealership.

I love cruising on the highway and was looking for a powerful bike for this purpose. Honda is the most trusted two-wheeler brand anywhere in the world and I selected the CB1100EX after taking a test ride and going through reviews. Trust me, this is an amazing bike. The build quality is solid. Honda has used premium parts to make this motorcycle. I have commanded other cruise bikes but the happiness and satisfaction that I got from the CB1100EX were unparalleled. The riding posture is straight up. The seat is comfortable and spacious which reduces rider fatigue

From the beginning of my lease of the Honda Clarity fuel cell car, I had problem with the car controller board. Then, the fuel tank problem had my car towed to their Torrance, CA. location for replacement due to unavailability of the service and hydrogen fuel. Then, the water pump corrosion recall to replace the water pump. Then, the True Zero hydrogen fuel cell producer depot caught on fire and their trucks were caught on fire. Theres no hydrogen fuel and the long delay in getting the inspections and permit to re-open the True Zero hydrogen plant.Meanwhile, the consumers face horrendous problems getting through to Honda Customer service to respond to deal with the rental car situation. A lot of time burden spent by consumers like myself to get Honda to help by providing temporary rental car. Honda customer service keep telling customers to wait for their case managers to call back if you can even get through to them. Honda Clarity fuel cell lessees are paying a high monthly leasing fees to Honda and not being able to drive the car and compounded by their horrible customer service and red-tape to make consumers bear the burden of time and costs. This doesnt happen with Toyota and Hyundai fuel cell vehicles when I talked to their customers. If theres a zero rating, I would rate it zero.

Probably the worst I will ever own. It was a 2019 EX-L. Infotainment issues were horrible, very buggy system. Dealership (Brandon Honda) told me it was a known issue and they couldnt fix it. One of the managers told me it was a Honda problem and not theirs. Awesome. Doors never worked right, trapping people inside. Transmission hesitated and jerked like crazy. A very poorly engineered vehicle. I traded it in and got an Accord Sport 2.0T...Cant believe that the same company could do things so differently with their products.

Door locked jam on driver side of door (only lock channel) on car has been replaced by Union Park Honda service department in the years of 2013 and 2014. I called to have lock replaced and was not informed that there will be charges for replacement of lock and repairs. Service representative by the of ** said that the warranty only covers 12,000 miles. Unfortunately they will have to charge me. He then stated that he had done some research and found that he was told that the lock/locks are FAULTY in certain model Hondas!!! If so why wouldnt Honda replace the door channel/channels with a more sufficient part for their vehicles. I AM A VERY VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER.

Great car! I have had it for 4 years now and I dont regret the purchase. Beautiful car! Comfortable! Roomy! Great family car! Perfect for vacations or just a ride around town. Love all of the extra features! Its the nicest vehicle Ive ever owned. I would buy another one in a heartbeat if I could afford it. Please give me money so I can purchase a new one. I like the CD player, sunglasses holder, storage options, interior color, exterior color, adjustable side mirrors, adjustable rear view mirror, fold down back seats, Leather interior, heated seats, sunroof, navigation, backup cameras, Bluetooth stereo, and alloy wheels. However, I dont like the fact that there is no DVD player option. I wish it was easier to sync phones through the Bluetooth technology and that there was climate control in the back seat. I also wish the car washed itself. It is 2018 and I cant believe that type of technology doesnt exist. I dont like having to pay to update the maps on the navigation system.

I bought my Honda CRV in August 2015. For health reasons, the vehicle was not driven a lot for about a year. Now it has 21,000 miles on it and needs to have the brakes and rotors replaced. I have always owned a Honda and NEVER had to replace brakes, even after four years. This is ridiculous. I am told this is what happens with Honda CRVs (like that makes it ok). I will not buy another CRV when it is a known issue that brake pads wear out so quickly. I heard I will have to replace rear brake pads three times before I ever have to do the front. PISSED.

I purchased a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback in November of 2017. Navigation system has not worked correctly from the beginning and other electronic problems have arisen since. I gave them 8 attempts to fix it, with my car being in the shop a total of 67 days. I started the lemon law process and after the final attempt didnt work, I requested them to buy it back. They sent me a letter declining to do so because they tried to fix it in good faith. They offered me a one time $1500 cash settlement for my time and to keep me a happy customer.I refused and filed with the state for an arbitration hearing. At the hearing, they tried to say EVERYTHING I did could have caused my problems- had to replace my window from a rock and that new window might be causing an interference, using a Bluetooth headpiece separate from the car might cause an interference, having my phone in the car might be causing an interference, using music on a usb drive could have corrupted files and cause an issue. It was horrible. The arbitrator sided on my side and they were told how much they had to pay me back. They sent me a letter stating in order to repurchase it back, they needed several items of information. I faxed all the information requested over the same day. A week later, I get another letter requesting one piece of the information to be sent again like I hadnt already sent it. I overnighted the entire packet to them again. Then, I get a letter saying they are happy to comply and someone would be in touch, but when I dropped off the car, I owed THEM more than $6000 from prior debt I had. I refused and a gentleman called me to explain why, which made no sense. Then the very next day, I get another letter stating that was in fact exactly how much I owed them and I needed to contact the state if I had any further questions concerning it. The state rep said she even chuckled at that one because there was no way they were going to tell me that was correct since it wasnt what the arbitrator decided. During this time, I left a total of 4 voicemails for the Honda representative, and two emails. None of these messages were ever returned. Last week, I FINALLY received a letter stating they were going to comply with the request at the stated amount and someone would be in touch. The very next day on Friday, I was in meetings for a total of 4 hours. During that time, I missed 1 call from Hondas repurchasing vendor about scheduling a time on Monday to return the car. I called her back when I got home, and we scheduled for Monday. She verified everything I would need to bring and I asked if I would be receiving my check at this time. She stated there was no check included in my packet. I told her I did not trust honda enough to give back the car without them complying with ALL the decision. The next morning, I get a call from the same rep saying she has the check as it was overnighted to her for me. The same day, I get a nastygram in the mail from Honda stating they had tried to call me, and sent a letter and had proof that I had received it (the same letter I received that stated someone would be in touch regarding scheduling). The letter continued to state that honda had performed its due diligence in meeting the terms of compliance, but my participation was critical and they were requesting me to extend my full participation in this matter in order to complete the process. (All this because I didnt respond to 1 phone call until 4 hours later, when they have never responded to any of my contact attempts.) The car is scheduled to be picked up tomorrow and I cant get rid of it fast enough. The local dealership has been wonderful (surprisingly for a dealership) and I originally thought about getting another honda because of this reason, but my experience with the actual company has made me swear off Honda for the rest of my life. This was my first and last one and I will take EVERY opportunity to post copies of these stupid letters for others to be aware what this company is really like. I will be posting reviews anywhere possible to warn people NOT to buy a Honda for any reason! Any company that treats its customers with such disrespect is worthless.

I purchased a brand new 2014 Honda Civic Ex this year. It now has 20,000 km on it and lets just say dont believe what you read when Honda tells you youll get exceptional fuel mileage. I dont even get good mileage. On average my fuel light comes on before it even hits 350 km. Right now my tank is sitting at 1/8 and theres 286 km on it. Ill be lucky if I hit 350 km. Ive contacted honda multiple times and no help whatsoever. I purchased this vehicle for fuel mileage as I had a Chevy Tahoe prior to. I got better mileage on my truck than I do this car. I will never purchase another honda ever again. I am trying to get rid of this one now and very displeased with how Honda has treated the whole situation.

I have been looking all over for a red 2022 ridge liner rtl-e truck. So I contacted several local dealers and put it on the web too. Last night got a call from a sales man Mark from Venice honda and told me that he just got in a red ridge line and if I was still interested, I jumped at the chance. We agreed I would come in at 1030 the next morning and that no one had an appt that was interested in this truck. He even told me he would grab the keys to this vehicle so no one would grab it before me, on the way down there (90 min drive) in a torrential rainstorm got a text from him if that I was still coming. I replied right away that I was going to be there on time, I also got two phone calls. One from Kyle the manager to see if I was coming and replied yes, I was very excited only to get there for my appt. Saw the truck in the lot and a couple were looking at it, I asked mark if that was the truck, he replied yes but that the couple I saw put a deposit on it.So all this trouble and he was lying to me, then he proceeds to try and sell me a pacific pewter ridgeline, I told him if I wanted that I wouldn’t be looking all over for this particular truck, I was so angry at this point. When I checked their reviews I read that this practice was quite common with this dealership. So I drove 3 hrs in a terrible storm to be lied to. I think people deserve better than this. I understand car dealerships dont have a stellar reputation but to get someone to drive 3 hrs for nothing but try to drum up a sale, I will never buy a honda again, I have owned 4 different Honda’s.

My daughter has a 2009 Honda Accord with 85k miles on it. It goes through 3 quarts of oil between oil changes. We submitted a claim even tho the warranty was out by one week but not out on mileage. They told me to take it to a Honda dealer (Ray Price) to do an oil consumption test. Which consist of a oil change (I pay for) then bring it back in around 1000 miles, they check level then report to Honda USA. Heres the problem, I took it back. It lost 3/4 qt by the calibrated eye of the mechanic looking at the dip stick, he didnt drain and measure. Also they didnt use the same weight oil as in the owners manual. The real misconception here is it loses at the same rate. It doesnt between the first 1000 miles and the 2nd 1000 miles it loses faster!!! Sometime between oil changes Ill put in 4 quarts!! My rating reflexes my appearance so far, it may change when its all said and done. Banging my head in Bangor.

I am filing a complaint and will continue to until my voice is heard. I bought a 2014 Honda Accord - left over in 2015, brand new 12 miles on the car. It is now 04/2017 and the clear coat is pitting ALL OVER THE CAR. There are 7 cars behind our home. I am the only one with a Honda and the only one with this problem. The Moon Honda dealership said it was due to the environment... Two Chevys (1 white, 1 black), Chrysler 200, Lincoln, Mazda and a Nissan are also parked behind our home and none of these brands have a problem with their clear coat. This is not right and Honda has lost a customer... All that needed to be done was realize the clear coat is bad and offer to treat me as a valued customer by fixing this and re-painting.Reporting this so others with this problem will realize it is not bird poop, other environmental situations or something else the dealership states is why they will not offer up a correction and re-paint their vehicle so it does not shred and look like a car that was in a fire or washed with vinegar... Look around and guarantee you will see a peeled up Honda. Shameful.

I recently received a recall notice for a new Honda SXS we purchased. The recall was for a safety issue related to the steering joint assembly. They say they will repair it free of charge. Keep in mind, upon receipt of this notice it is no longer safe to operate the vehicle until an inspection/repair is performed. Thus, rendering the vehicle unusable. The local dealer wants to charge to come pickup the unit or the owner must bring the unit to the dealer for the inspection/repair. Due to COVID-19 we decided to go with the first option. However, thats an additional $100-$150 charge from the dealer for a problem that Honda created! Asked American Honda is they would reimburse and they decided to recite the warranty which exempts them from paying for the transportation. Under normal circumstances this would be acceptable, however, due to COVID one would think they would make an exception and do the right thing for a lifelong customer. NOPE! There are simply too many choices out there when it comes to vehicles and too many other companies willing to do the right thing. Honda will never see my business again and I would recommend anyone looking for a Honda to reconsider and go with a more customer oriented organization that would be more deserving of your business.

My 2001 Honda Passport was less than 98,000 miles (**) and I always kept-up with the care and maintenance of my car. I did the timing belt on it by myself. Change oil and anything that my car needed, I would fix it myself. So the speed meter and the gas gauge stopped working, and I told my wife it looks like the car will need a computer. So June 12, 2012, I had South Motors Honda put in a new computer and that fixed the problems. We paid $901.97. April 15, 2012 they wrote it on their computer that the serpentine belt was next and needed a fix. The serpentine belt broke and they had it fixed ($829.04). May 24, 2012 my wife brought the car in because of a tiny oil leak, so they would need to keep the car for a week to replace the oil pan gasket. And on their computer, it never said we would need on the next repair a motor because the person that removed the oil to fix the oil leak (the oil pan gasket, they had to take it off and put a new one on) never added the oil back to the motor and we paid $744.04. So my wife had to pick up the car because I had to return the rental back. As I walk back to South Motors, my wife was so mad because now she hears what are a sound from inside of the motor and a sound of a knock. While they were gone, I opened the hood and checked the oil and nothing was touching the stick. As I close the hood, the tech came and drove our car in to his shop in the back, away from us; and they got mad because I needed to keep my eye on my car. So the tech adds 5 quarts of oil and drove it back around to the service advisor and he said ok, everything is fixed; and the tech fixed the oil leaks. As we started it out, the rods were knocking badly. The service advisor Allen did not write down on the computer at South Motors, like he did everything else, about the motor that’s next for repair. Allen said that after the car leaves South Motors, there is nothing that they can do and its not their problem if it needs a new motor. Allen did say the motor needs to be replaced but not by South Motors. They are not giving me a free motor. This came from Allen and the shop manager. The shop manager did say we spent a lot of money on my car and “Our techs dont let a car leave without any oil and it sounds like youre trying to get a free motor. That’s not going to happen.” I saw the oil stick and saw no oil; and on this specific item (remove the old oil pan gasket and add a new one), you have to drain the oil to fix this leak. You have to replace the oil back in the motor.I think they need to buy me a new motor or write me a check for $5,800 - end of story. You dont have to make this look bad, just mail me a check for $5800.Thanks to the internet for letting me post this. The bad thing is this South Motor Honda. When you do something bad to people, it comes back around. I have talked to a painter and we have talked about making a huge sign about South Motors Honda and write what a great job you do and how many have you scammed like me. We’ll write it in Spanish, too; so when my Honda Passport is parked at the mall, people can read it and find out the truth. Its going to be readable on both sides, so 1000s can read it. You can read it at the mall at school; even at red lights from behind, you can still read how great your scamming of people is. So we have gotten with DOT and DMV to see just what we can cover up; no lights and no tag can be covered, so this sign is where you can read it and be ok with the laws. If nothing else, we dont need signs; he can paint what we need to write it on the Passport.I dont see any other way out, other than paying the owner for his time waiting for his car not to get fixed and renting rental cars all paid out by him. He thinks you owe him a lot more than $5800. Look if he has the money to get these types of repair done and paying for them (and gets treated like this). This man has a family and works, and he thinks you’re giving him the short end of the stick. South Motors needs to stop this by paying him off before he starts, and he has flyers printed by the 1000s. I think you need to pay him with a car and $5800. That’s his car he took care of and he feels he trusted you and you did pooh on him. He trusted you to fix his computer on his car and he paid then it is something else. And then… Ok, money is coming. He is paying $600-$1000 to $1800-$2000. Let’s drain his oil out so we can get him to buy a brand new motor and tell the manager to side with whatever they have to say. Then after we do this, we can get him for more stuff. Look at what all he paid and walk around and laugh at how dumb he is. And just maybe, we play our cards right; we cannot add oil. At some point, we will get him again. He is mad now and we will get him again for being mad or making us do more work. Being a problem to us, we will teach our advisor using 4 letter words. Hey, its ok. We will have him eating out of the palm of our hands and have him come in for little stuff to have us fix on his Passport. So what happened is that the service advisor saw the serpentine belt was broken and needed to be replaced and added that the timing belt may need to be replaced. But he was so worked up about my fine wife that he did or would not hear me telling him this old boy had already put a new timing belt on. He was watching my wife walk around and asked her in a putting me down kind of way, and they would go ahead and change the timing belt. So, I got mad and showed my butt because I did all the work on that change and he would not let me talk or give me the time of the day - too busy looking and not learning about the problems that my car was having. They got mad after removing and finding out everything with the timing belt is brand new. Then, he wanted my wife to walk around and act as if he and she was cock of the walk and try to belittle me. My wife loves me and I trust her. She’s the type of person that reads a person for what theyre worth and she has stood in the heat for what is right, not sides or color or how big he wants to act. So this not putting oil in the car, this Allen guy being a jerk, and the manager buying and standing by Allen’s stories, the manager’s people do no harm and his techs do not leave cars without oil… I am a customer and I have a clue why they would belittle me and remove the oil from my car that’s paid for. I need a check for $5800. I dont trust them with a carton of eggs. They have burned me badly and I cant trust them to replace my motor with a new one that they can clean up junk and try to pass it off as a new motor. I can trust green bills in the amount of $5800. All the waiting with my baby and waiting for our car all day to get fixed was just a part of their games.

I have a 2001 Honda Accord with 65,000 miles. The first transmission was replaced at 27,500 miles, and was under warranty. Now, my second transmission needs to be replaced at 37,500 miles, and is not covered by the warranty. I have contacted the regional representative, who only saw it was a 2001, and refused to assist in any way. I then contacted their customer service department who filed a claim for me, but a day later called, and gave me the same response. There will be no goodwill gesture on the part of Honda. I have since written a letter to the president of North American Honda, but have not received a response back. I have since had the transmission replaced on the 2001 Honda by a transmission company, for approximately $1,600 plus tax. I still feel that as a goodwill gesture, Honda should be more flexible in a situation, where both transmissions did not have very much miles.

Transmission of 2002 Accord fails April 2011 (at 23,000 miles). Cost is $1867 to fix plus towing. Another part of the transmission (TCC Solenoid) fails January 2012 (at 27,252 miles), costing $864 to replace. Responding for the second time to the summer 2011 Honda recall for an airbag repair—response number 1 in September 2011 and response number 2 in December 2011—I was asked to come on a specific day in January 2012 to have it repaired. I went but Superior Honda of N.O. did not have the part. When they got the part and fixed it they told me that the OPDS sensor needed repair and I had no airbag coverage at all. I learned later that this problem was under warranty until one day before the repair was made. This was only $300, not the $3,000 transmission fiasco (including a guess at towing cost). I think Superior should extend the warranty one day since if they responded properly to the September request or had the part for the recall work, the OPDS sensor would have been under extended warranty (Spring 2006 letter from Honda).

On Jan 2, 2012, I went to Valley Honda in Monroeville to purchase windshield wipers. When I went to pay for the repairs, I discovered that I did not have my wallet. I went out to my car to look for it because I thought maybe I left it inside. After discovering it was not there, I called my brothers office because I had just left his business, to see if I had left it there. He called me back and informed me that it was not there. The service person took me to a customer service agent named Anita ** to see if she would approve me going home to get the money and then return to pay my bill. She stated that she could not approve my request and it must be done by someone else. The service agent left to find a manager. Ms. Anita stated to me that this type of request is never approved. I replied to her that they would have to do something because I did not have any money on me. In response, she stated to me, Well, you knew that you did not have any money when you came in here. I was shocked at her statement. I reminded her that I lost my wallet and was quite distraught about that and asked her how she could make a statement like that to me. Without even looking at me, she replied with the most nonchalant and cold response, “Well, I apologize. I guess I was out of line. I was so upset that I only responded by saying to her, “You certainly were out of line.” I am 67 years old and have never experienced this type of careless response from someone. I called Mr. Jim ** twice to speak with him regarding this incident, but was unable to do so. My brother who is also a car dealer called to speak to Mr. Jim ** and also left messages for him to call. He did not return any calls. I feel that this statement was made to me because I am Afro-American.

Something needs to be done about Hondas defective STARTERS, Like a recall. I purchased my 2014 Certified Honda EX from you guys last year. The car was very new. Only 18,000 miles on it. I just had to have my car which has 50,000 miles on it towed! I had to rent a car till this is fixed. This is inexcusable. I bought a HONDA for their known reliability and 0 mechanical issues. This is my 5th and most expensive Honda and I barely got 1 year out of the car for a VERY expensive fix. I did not take it to a dealer because I knew they would rake me over the coals on expense. I did request my mechanic buy a HONDA starter, not some knock off brand. We shall see if this starter works.I spoke to customer service at Honda USA in Calif. and they told me they were unaware of this issue. Go online. You will see HUNDREDS of complaints regarding bad starters! I am requesting compensation on this cost either from Wild Honda or from Honda USA. You guys are selling new cars with DEFECTIVE STARTERS in them. This must stop or you will have a class action lawsuit on your hands. I am requesting a call back from Honda USA on this issue.

My wife and I, along with our grandchildren, were placed in a very life threatening situation on several occasions with vehicle stalling in heavy high-speed traffic. The ignition switch failed, but turned out to be a very expensive diagnosis and repair, $2,350.19 to be exact. When I found out there had been a recall, I contacted Honda for reimbursement, but to no avail. They mailed me a check for the cost of the switch. No letter of explanation as to why they refused to not pay for the total repair bill. I find this to be very appalling for a company not to respond to a customers complaint of a safety recall.

Ive enjoyed my 2003 Honda Odyssey as a family car and also to haul garden materials. The seats are comfy and the overall driving experience is good. My main complaint is twofold. First, it gets only about 16 miles to the gallon around town/18 on the freeway. This is pretty poor by any standards. And second, the clear coat on the dark green paint job has failed; this began within 8 years of purchase. Large portions of the horizontal surfaces have peeled off, leaving a white residue, while the vertical surfaces still look very nice. I see other Odysseys around town of the same vintage and they all have the same problem. And a quick look on the web shows that this is a massive problem. I am looking forward to buying a new car soon but will not be buying a Honda due to the paint problem. Its a shame really as the car has performed well.

I recently purchased a $30 Honda shirt (Made in Taiwan) from the apparel store. After one wear, the material was easily altered (for better lack of term). I returned it, received an in store credit and immediately used the credit, added $30 to that, and purchased what I thought to be a Quality $60 Honda Jersey. At the time I did not realize it was also made in Taiwan! No tag, only a plastic Made in Taiwan stamp inside! Well customer service refused to accept the return because supposedly there was no manager in store. On my way out, the salesman & I talked and he was able to talk with someone who the cashiers could not talk to, and the salesman offered me a $25 in-store credit! I basically refused, and he was surprised because he said its usually not hard to give away $25! Without him realizing, I didnt want to give away $35 (the difference of what I paid)! I left the store, left the jersey in the parking lot and will never visit the store again! I purchased a $7K bike (cash), I purchased other apparel, accessories, gifts, helmets, even $149 boots a month ago. I felt good to be a loyal customer but too bad I didnt get the same loyalty! I was so mad I was in tears! Oh well, no more tears over Dreyer as I will shop elsewhere!

My 2019 Honda Civic, brand new 3 weeks ago, has been in the Honda service department 7 times for the same problem. The low tire pressures warning light goes on after 2 days driving out of the service department. I have been given 7 different explanations & as many attempted repairs... Down to new tires. The problem is still NOT resolved. I bought this car for my teenage daughter because of its purported reliability & safety. The last time it arrived to the shop with a flat tire due to “manufacturing defect”! 1 of the 4 tires was replaced. Today they are saying a 2nd tire needs replacing. Would you allow your teenage daughter to drive this car? I am extremely distressed and she has spent more of her college summer break waiting at the dealer! This situation meets the trifecta of the LEMON LAW criteria. This vehicle is unreliable & downright dangerous.

I am so disgusted with Honda. I filed a complaint with Cal OSHA and the Better Business Bureau. 2008 CRV Locks are messed up. They recalled just the drivers side door lock (only 1 that worked). 1 stays unlocked 27/7 and 1 stays locked passenger side. They refuse to help me in any way shape or form. I am disabled, live off 900 a month and was quoted 450.00 per door for a 50.00 part. I am raising an 8 year old and have a special needs granddaughter THESE FLIPPIN DOORS ARE UNSAFE. BEWARE. I love the car (2019 Honda Fit LX) and its almost perfect, with a few flaws that I had to get used to. One being the headlights dont turn off, the audio screen is always on, going from reverse to drive sometimes has me ending up in neutral, and the rear view camera is always getting dirty. Other than that I love the car and feel safe in it. Until today, after a month buying and driving this car NEW. I went to unlock the car and nothing worked. I went to try to unlock it manually with my key. The whole thing was dead. Had to call roadside assistants and they brought out AAA, who kept saying someone either was trying to break into my car or I pushed the panic button by mistake. No sir, all wrong. Im in a personal gated garage. Anyway, nobody could figure it out but eventually they came to the conclusion that the alarm system just glitched and that I can come in and have the guy turn the alarm off. WTF so I cant use the car with a panic alarm or else I risk the car having me locked out until someone comes to fix it? What is this a stolen iphone. I mean come on! Being unable to get into my car was very scary considering the fact that if I had left my phone inside the car by mistake and needed to unlock the car there would be no way of doing so! Everything works fine again for now but Im still feel uneasy about driving the car now. Again great customer service, nice car, and good driving vision from all views but one very unsafe experience. This car was purchased in Los Angeles, CA.

I have proof of trying to call customer service many times with no return call. It’s impossible to get a number for someone “higher up”. We bought our van in Oct 2015, it only had 30 some thousand miles on it. Nov 2016 the engine light came on. Long story short we had to replace all 6 spark plugs. It came up misfire codes. The plugs were black and 1 was actually melted. Our mechanic thought that was strange, but replaced them, 500 bucks later. 8 months later, check engine light again... misfire code for cylinder 1 again, spark plugs were just changed not long ago, so we changed out coil packs. 1 month later again with the engine light... but now its misfire and catalyst codes. Ok, maybe coil packs were defective... there should be no problem with the plugs, they are less than a year old. Change out coil packs, reset codes. 3months later engine light again, wth! Ok, so maybe its just a computer glitch or something, were replaced stuff already. Same codes, reset them and went along with life.Dec 2017, engine light again, then ABS light and another light, I forget which one, but the 2 are lights that have nothing to do with the engine. Still same codes, misfire and catalyst. Within 2 days the lights all went out. Whatever, just dont have time for crap, and van seemed ok I guess. Then last week, engine light came on, van broke down. Got it to mechanic. Same codes, misfire and catalyst. Plugs are black again. Van has 112k miles on it now. Now my mechanic does some research, because this should not be happening, plus we were low on oil and not due for an oil change yet which we faithfully do. So he finds there was a lawsuit against Honda for the same exact issue going on with my van. For Odyssey up to 2013, well mines a 2013. So they send it to a Honda dealer.Dealer puts in vin, no problem just have to make sure the codes stay, take pictures and submit everything to Honda. Done. Get a call today. Technically my van is not covered under the extended warranty from the lawsuit. So they offer me a courtesy offer, I pay 60% and they pay 40%. I dont think so! Not only is this the 2nd time my van is going in for this repair, but my catalytic converter is now affected because of it, and they want me to pay 900 bucks! My vin is 1 number off from the lawsuits, but I have the same exact engine as those in the lawsuit and the same problem and Honda thinks they are gonna make me pay for repairs for something that is a known problem. They tell me they have nothing else to offer me. Prove to me my engine was affected at the time just because my vin is 1 number off, but yet its the same exact problem that Honda tried to hide before and want me to pay for, well 60% and they pay 40%. Hmmmm???? I made a claim with American Honda, they didnt do crap, and Im still waiting to hear from the District Manager that told the service guy to offer me the deal. Yeah, Im not stupid! And Im at 3 hours later and still havent heard back from anyone.Honda already had 1 lawsuit against them for this problem, and they Im well aware of it but still want to do nothing about it except make me pay over 900 bucks to fix a problem that is apparently a problem Honda has had with many of these engines. Unfortunately we travel a lot, but keep up with the maintenance on our van. Yes it has 112k, but Honda engines are supposed to be really good. They had a problem with this particular engine and now dont want to fix mine on their end.

2006 Honda Civic Dangerous Mechanical problem: Dont be fooled like I was by Hondas reputation. Their cars have tons of problems and the case agents are merely customer service guys and gals with scripts. At 29,000 miles, a bolt got torn off from the tensioner causing a massive chain reaction of broken belts and pulleys. The extended warranty didnt cover it because a bolt shouldnt do that. The guy kept saying wear and tear, but the fact is that it was the bolt that caused the chain reaction and not the belts. Bolts are still intact in cars that were built 50 years ago. When I mentioned that, he said I could reimburse you for the bolt which is $1.50, basically mocking me. I said to him that the reason the labor cost was so high was because of that bolt that flew into the engine and the mechanics supposedly had to spend 7 hours to fetch out (Honda Dealership). The guy was passive-aggressive and very unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and do some major research before buying a Honda. They will live with the reputation of having safe and reliable cars but when it comes to a problem they got to fix, they turn against you. My next car was probably going to be another Honda, not anymore. There are far too many car companies to stand for this. Their cars are supposedly overpriced because of their quality, but that is no longer true. Do some research. Oh, yeah, this whole thing happened while I was driving at 40 miles per hour and it was a really stressful and panicky situation since it all happened out of the blue.

I purchased this 2016 Honda pilot certified has powertrain warranty till 2021or 100k. My wife and 3 kids broke down in Canada Sudbury Ontario. I am from Michigan, the vehicle was broken in the middle of nowhere with no phone signal. Thanks god the kids and wife were safe after all, but the very bad experience starts. Towed it to Palladino Honda dealer in Sudbury. Took them 1 week to say that we need a new engine but I can not repair it because it is an American vehicle. I called honda, honda care, my honda dealer. They did not help with anything. After 4 weeks I had to tow my car from them to Southfield Tamaroff honda to get the car repair. Eventually they repaired the car with replicating just the short block of the engine even the rod bearing was broken and metal shaving was all over the engine (car was not washed, no loaner offered, no alignment, bottom screws and push pins missing). Not understanding why they did not change complete engine. It cost me over $2200 to tow it back here and rent the car for my wife, not mentioned all the headache calling every day the honda dealer in Canada and honda customer service where nobody helped even the car was certified and had an extended warranty through honda care. All I wanted is to get refund for the expenses, but no one want to step out and do it (sorry and sorry we understand all these ** answers). Very bad experience, I will never buy a honda again even though I trusted the engineering before no anymore, stay away from honda….

Do you think you’re getting a good deal when you buy a Honda. It turns out that the way they make their money off he was by nickel and dime and you throughout the ownership experience. The dealers will make money off you with the ridiculous service intervals from the car. The financial services part of Honda will make money off of you from hitting you with all sorts of fees. The cost of ownership of a Honda is much higher than people realize, because the company‘s business model is to sell good cars are reasonable prices, and then screw you for the remainder of your ownership experience. This was my first Honda, and it will be my last. I have since moved on and bought an Audi, and while the upfront cost is higher, the ownership experience is night and day different. I don’t feel like I’m getting screwed over every single interaction I have with the dealer or the company.

We bought an HRV 22 months ago. While driving cross country to my daughters college graduation we stopped in Las Vegas to get something to drink. As we were about to get on the freeway all the lights on the dashboard lit up. Flashing were the words Check Charging System. We took it to Honda West dealership and they told us to come back tomorrow morning and they would look at the vehicle. The next day they had the vehicle for four hours and still did not know what wrong. We left the vehicle with them and rented a car and drove back home. A month later they said they had everything fixed. They found that rodents had eaten through the cabin air filter and damaged the wiring inside the vehicle. After getting home with the vehicle I took the cabin air filter out to see how I could keep the rodents out of my vehicle. The dealership put the old filter back into the vehicle. It had two holes in it that were 2-3 inches wide, full of rodent excrement and smelled like urine. I removed the plastic cover between the front hood and the front windshield. About 3 inches below the windshield on the passenger side was a 4 inch by 12 opening going through the firewall into the Ac unit. Below the opening was a 3 1/2 inch wide shelf for the rodents to sit on. I got a piece of hardware cloth with 1/4 openings and four self-tapping sheet metal screws and covered the hole to keep the rodents out.The cost of repair was about $1.50, the cost from Honda West Dealership for the rodent damage was $ 9,720.10. This is a bad design by Honda, to allow this kind of access for rodents into their vehicle. I understand this is the same design on all of their crossover vehicles. How much money has Honda Corporation made off of this design because of rodent damage?

I am an old customer in Honda Egypt where Ive been riding Honda cars for eight years until now. First, I had Honda City 2004. The window sensors did not work, then the car keys did not work. They fixed these problems at the customer service center and said that this is a rare case and wont happen again but even then I sold the car. Later, I bought Civic 2007 when it was first launched in Egypt. The car mileage is 56000 km. From day one, I had the same problems with the keys that is not fixed until now. Then suddenly, the motor base needed to be changed where the car mileage was 32000 km and they said at the customer service that this was a manufacturing problem in this car. Later, I found that the steering wheel box needs to be changed because of a manufacturing problem as they said at Honda customer service center also. Besides all these problems, now I am facing more problems where there are many parts needed to be changed beneath the car, in the front suspension system and the scissors. I cant believe this anymore. I always get bad Honda cars! After all these problems, I see that there must be an action taken to end this disaster. These problems, I shouldnt face them while Im driving a Honda car. I bought a car with zero level of quality and I wont accept it. So please, Im looking forward to get a response from you as soon as possible and to know whats the next step you, as a company, will take because based on this next step, Im also going to move. I will contact you before I take any formal action here in Egypt because I expect whats said in your policy that you care about your customers satisfaction and I think you do care also about your Honda reputation here. Thanks.

(BTW, I bought a new 2012 luxury edition CRV and gave my 2005 to my daughter.) The recall is not even being mailed to owners until the beginning of November! My daughter woke up at 4am to find the cars driver’s side door in flames, which quickly ignited the entire cab! The engine looks brand new and wasnt touched, but the car is a complete loss and devastating to look at, not to mention the emotional job it took on my daughter as she watched her car (and like a typical teen that lives out of their car, all her most prized possessions) go up in flames. When I called Honda (first shaking over the fire and then angry that I could have lost my child in this tragedy), they could not have cared any less. Many people told me to hire a lawyer including the service manager at the dealership where I bought both cars. He said Honda wont do anything and you will have to lawyer up. My husband and I talked and just need the insurance company to cover the car, and we are going through our homeowners policy for her more than $3,000 worth of personal property. The insurance agency is going after Honda for their reimbursement and said they will also attach the list of lost personal property for them to reimburse. Oh, one more thing, my 2012 Honda CRV also had a recall - not the driver’s door window switch but nonetheless ... Would I buy a Honda again? Toyota is looking mighty fine these days!

Purchased a 2018 MDX Acura from Radley Motors, Baileys Crossroads, VA. Water leaked into the new vehicle for an unspecified time from the passenger seat window when it rained. Misaligned door from manufacturer. Honda & dealer being sued. You cannot repair water that has been entering a vehicle for an unspecified amount of time. Will impact the electrical system. Honda & the dealer are fighting this claim and has not been responsive. The vehicle is at the dealership & car payments are being made. Honda admitted the misaligned door. Dealer delivered a new car to purchasers that leaked.

This past week, my car, for the second time within a year, had to go back to the shop for maintenance and repairs due to water leaking into the gas tank. I bought this car (2012 Civic Sedan LX) on February 4, 2012. I only have a little over 5,000 miles on it because I mostly only use it to commute to work during the weekdays. One of the reasons I bought a Honda car instead of any other was because of its high standard and reputation. Ive heard that Honda cars dont break down easily and almost never give the owner any trouble. On September 2, 2012, I was in my car with my boyfriend and his friend to go get some lunch. After going about 5 blocks or so, he suddenly remembered that he forgot something at home, so I had to make a U-turn and go back home. On the way back, the car slowly puttered to a stop. Naturally, I thought it was because I was out of gas or something, but when I looked at the gas meter, it was more than half full. I started up the car again, and although the engine turned on, the car was shaking by itself ... until it again sputtered to a halt. I tried starting the engine a few more times but after a few more tries, it was futile. Luckily, at that time, there werent too many cars around and there was miraculously a parking space nearby, so the two guys managed to push the car safely into that spot. I called my insurance company (Geico) and they towed my car two days later and took it back to the dealer. After they inspected the car, they found that water had gotten into the gas tank. They suspected that it was from a bad gas station who pumped water along with their gas. Ive been going to the same place near my house ever since I bought this car, and nothing like this ever happened before. My family, friends and co-workers all blamed Honda for a manufacturer defect, but even though I felt bad about this case, I didnt blame Honda at all and, in fact, finished off paying off the car this past January 8th, 11 months after I bought the car, and much earlier than the initial 3-year plan I signed up for. The total cost for repairs came out to $1632.34, but even though Geico covered $1085.23 of it, I still had to pay $547.11 out of my own pocket for an accident I didnt even take part in.Then again, on January 14, I turned on the car to go to work, just like any other day, and the car shook in the familiar manner of last October, before it stopped. I got the car towed and taken back to the dealer. Surprise, surprise, they said that there was water in the gas tank. What Id like to know is how so much water could possibly get into the tank to make the car want to stop. I realized that the night before this happened, it rained a lot in my neighborhood, but surely, it couldnt have all gotten into my car. One of the repairmen suspected that someone poured water into the gas tank on purpose. Only I have the key to my car. Why would I want to do something as stupid as pouring water into my car, not once, but twice, and have to go through all this trouble and waste a ton of money? It also couldnt have been an outside job, because by the hole where you put the gas nozzle, theres no scratch mark or any visible proof that someone tried to break in to do something bad on purpose.Because of this, not only was I late to work, but so was my sister who works in the same office I do. She was with me in the car at that time and is still suffering from being scared due to the cars convulsions. In both cases, luckily, the car stopped near my house, or rather, in a vicinity without too many cars. God knows what could have happened if the car chose to stop on the highway. The technician who looked at my car was dumbfounded as to how something like this could happen, not once, but twice. I suspect that this second time was due to bad workmanship last time by someone who was working on my car and left a hole for water to drip and accumulate. There is no other explanation.I bought the newest model of this Honda car because I wanted the best of the best. If I didnt care too much about having to take care of my car breaking down every so often, I would have bought a used car at a much more affordable price. Because of these incidents, my insurance fee went up from $1,936.42 to $1,981.85, but more than that, now I have a phobia about driving, because I dont know when or where my car might stop. Its not even a year old and Ive kept it in good condition. There is no reason for this. The first time this happened in January, I had to take the bus from my home in Flushing back and forth to work (in the Bronx) every day for about two weeks since my car was in the shop getting repaired, and now it looks like I need to do that again. The top reason for buying the car in the first place was to help me commute to work, but if it cannot fulfill that purpose, its pretty much of no use to me. I dont wish to waste any more money paying for stuff like this.

Have to stop the car and wait till front window clears. I called Honda and they said no one has called in on this problem. If you are having this issue please call them. This is a very dangerous situation. Can’t see out to rearview mirrors or back. I am fighting with them to give me another car. I have read people having problems and being told poor heating system in this model. They must make this right with their customers. Please Please call and complain.

I have a 2004 Honda Accord that I bought brand-new. I have always had all routine maintenance completed at a Honda dealership. I had the timing belt replaced ($1,000) within the 7-year time period, hoping to avoid any serious damage if it ever broke. Right after that, I had to replace the power steering pump ($500), because it went bad at 70,000 miles. Now at 83,000 miles, my transmission has gone out; and I am having to spend $4,000 to have that replaced. I have always taken very good care of this car. I bought it, because of Hondas reputation and hoped it would last me a long time before any major repairs were needed. I have read about numerous complaints and recalls for the transmission, so this leads me to believe Honda isnt what I once thought it was. I will not buy another one, even though I love my car. Its not worth what I have had to spend.

Ive been on Hondas since the late 60s, dirt, trail & blacktop versions. Ive had other brands (primarily cruisers), but have been disappointed and have returned home to Honda. After playing in the dirt during my youth I graduated finally to the Wings. Got my first Wing in 1984 right out of the crate. Put over 250K on her and traded her in on a shiny new SEI in 1986. Kept the SEI in pristine condition until a moving company broke her during a military move & purchased a 95 anniversary edition, which I still have today. Ive had hog riders tell me she isnt a real bike and Ive told them that they are correct - shes a Cadillac convertible on 2 wheels. Unlike an ultra glide I can be on her with my wife, all day long and at the end of a long day of 400+ miles I can still walk. Three cruisers, all with over 200K miles doing nothing more than typical scheduled maintenance or replacing small parts e.g., tires, brake pads etc. Ive known several people that have well over a half-million miles on Wings and are still going strong - figure out how many V-twins youd go through in that many miles. Ive been thinking of trading in the 95 for another new bike, but really do Not like the most recent version of the Wing. Ive been on the BMW cruiser and Ive got to admit, it really has me thinking of changing. Thirty-five years of loyalty with Wings is hard to shake, but they (Honda) seem intent on taking one of their best lines (Goldwing) and making it into another sports bike. Buy a good used one if you can find one, youll be very happy you did.

I purchased my 2007 Fit in March of 2007 and have loved every drive in it. Since purchasing my car, Ive had 2 kids and we have taken this on every family trip and survived. After a while it has started to feel cramped, but we manage. Ive decided to upgrade to a better car, but I could drive this thousands more miles and not have an issue... It is a sound vehicle. Perfect for a young driver. That being said, a word of caution: this is a small car. If in a high volume trucking area or high traffic area, you need to be aware of cars around you, as they may not see you. Ive had 2 accidents where people ran into me bc they didnt see my parked car. So, if looking at cars for an inexperienced driver, you may want to look at something higher and/or longer.

Recently, I bought (April 2011) a 1997 Honda Passport with a blown head for next to nothing. I purchased the vehicle for my two kids to get back and forth from college. I then dumped a couple grand into fixing it. Then in June, I noticed big chunks of rusted steel on my driveway under where the Passport was parked. I crawled underneath it, only to find that the chassis was so rusted out in places that I could place my whole fist into the holes (especially right under the passenger seat/door). I was also able to grab handfuls of rusted and corroded steel from inside the cavity along the chassis.I immediately called the Honda Recall Hotline, and they indicated to me that there was no recall for the 1997 Chassis, but there was a recall starting in 1998 on the frame. “Not to worry”, they said. I was to take it to the dealer to have them access the situation and determine next steps. So, I parked the vehicle in the driveway, and prohibited any one from driving it. I have been so busy with work, but I finally got around to calling the dealer in my area (Roush). They instructed me to set an appointment for them to do a diagnostic check. Oh, and that they will have to charge me for the diagnostic analysis. I told them that it was a bunch of bunk having it; I did not want to pay them any fees. All one has to do is get on their knees; look under the car, and come to the diagnosis that I came to that there is obviously a defect for the steel to be so rusted, that you could put your fist into several areas. Obviously, you do not need to be a rocket surgeon to figure it out, nor do you need to place it on a rack to make an official diagnosis, let alone charge me for it. I told them that I would send them 1000 FREE diagnostic pictures that they could use for their analysis.Since that did not get me anywhere, I asked for Hondas number because I wanted to chat with a regional/district manager in order to obtain approval for the dealer to waive the diagnostic fee. I got the runaround from Heather in recalls. She said that I needed to go back to the dealer; since my vehicle had no recall, she could not obtain approval for a free diagnostic check. She also would not provide me with the district managers name for Honda. She said to me that I needed to get that information from the dealer.I then proceeded to voice my concern on this, and told her that the vehicle isnt safe to be driving even to the dealer. She offered absolutely no concern, nor any valuable customer service. Based on this Honda experience and previous experience with a GMC vehicle, I can tell you GMCs customer service department blows Hondas away. So, now I have to call Roush back in order to obtain the Honda district managers name and number. It makes absolutely no sense and is totally a runaround. I bought the Passport because it was a Honda, only to find out that it is an ISUZU.Honda evidently paid ISUZU to manufacture the Passports which was Hondas entrance into the SUV market. Now I have what I thought was a Honda, which is actually an ISUZU. No wonder why the frame is crap. If you happen to own a Honda Passport manufactured in the years 1995 (first year), 1996 and 1997, check your chassis. If anyone else has this problem, please let me know if you have been able to rectify it with Honda.

We are leasing a brand new Honda Accord - 5 months old. The paint bubbles up all over the hood and sides of car - after bubbling up, it will chip off - then it appears as stone chips as we were told by Honda managers. We waited for over 3 weeks for a response... Stone does not cause paint to bubble up and chip off. Pictures have been taken, but does not show the real thing. A visual inspection was made by one Honda district manager and owner of dealership - it was wrote off as stone chips. Its horrible - all over the front. Our 2003 Honda Accord was in better condition than our new one. The customer representative 3,000 miles away from Honda had her mind made up along with Honda reps before it was even investigated. Next step - go to a professional collision/paint representative for our own assessment - legal counseling? We dont know... but we will not give up. Its a lot of money to spend leasing a brand new car and have the paint chip off. Stones do NOT cause bubbling of paint!! We are totally done with Honda - we always swore by Honda... Now we cant wait till our lease is up!! We were told paint chips arent covered by warranty... which we understand... but this is paint chipping off and bubbling up of paint... The paint actually lifts up and then chips off... Pictures do not show the significance of the problem.

Well let me start by saying Honda has been my go-to for many years, 14 Honda automobiles, 10 Honda motorcycles, 6 pieces of Honda outdoor power equipment. I must say though the last 2006 Honda Civic that I purchased with 64K miles has bittered me after having to put a motor in this car for a problem that Honda knew they had but refused to stand behind it. After some minor research I have discovered Honda had a major engine block casting problem between 2006-2009 in the civics. I think a recall would have been a better choice for Honda owners rather than a lousy extended warranty period. Honda informed me that I was just out of luck, after all the car does have 64K miles. How much more were you expecting? It was very misfortunate for me as I bought the car privately. What was even sadder is that I am really convinced that the people who sold me this car knew there was a problem, they possibly received the same great customer service from Honda that I did. VERY POOR HONDA MOTOR COMPANY. THE SAYING GOES ONE UPSET CUSTOMER GOES FURTHER THAN ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER!

I went into Honda of Burlington here in Washington and was coming in to pay off my 2021 Honda Accord and was persuaded to purchase another vehicle of lesser quality. Within 24 hours of the purchase I regretted this decision because the car was not of equal quality to the car I had drove in there. The general manager called me to tell me she would not give me my original car back. Again it had not even been 24 hours and I had been calling all morning trying to reach someone in management but they were all in meetings. I just wanted my car back and they refused! Not only was this emotionally damaging but the general manager said she could tell I was upset because I was crying and she said I can tell youre upset so I will let you go after telling me I couldnt have my car back and me begging to get it back. She was absolutely horrible! She did not need to be rude as I never once raised my voice or anything. I simply begged to have my car back. She said no! Have a good day and hung up. I have always supported Honda and am very devastated that this is how they do business! I would not recommended them to anyone! How could you do that to someone? They simply got the better end of the deal and would not give me my car back and also told me to just take and trade the car of lesser quality if I didnt like it. Im done with Honda!!!

Very little maintenance needed and more than got my moneys worth out of it. Eventually sold it moved to the mountains and took up riding horses.

Also the starter motors are garbage, expect to replace once every 2 years or so (another $800 after labor and parts every time). I own the Touring version of the 2005 Honda Odyssey. The vehicle was purchased new. In the fall of 2008 the passenger-side sliding door was registering as being open. The dash light came on & the steady alarm that goes off would stay on while I was driving.I could de-activate the alarm by sliding the doors control button to a manual setting. However, the dash light would keep warning me bybinging) that the door was open. The motor would engage briefly while & the door would actually move while I was driving! I was unaware at the time that the doors bad connection was also draining my battery.Took it in 12/08 to a dealership. Was told the motor & latch had to be replaced along with the battery to the tune of $691.Done.Late in 2010 the other sliding door (passenger side) started doing the same thing. My battery died repeatedly & at 1 point was replaced.Took it to another dealership & they found the exact same door problem as the previous incident.Motor & latch had to be replaced on THAT door for $945. Done.At present (8/3/11) the driver side sliding door is broken AGAIN!If I replace it AGAIN it will be the THIRD door on that sidesince owning the vehicle. Called Honda HQ. Gentleman was pleasant but had a most difficult time comprehending the problem.Even asked me if I was sure that it was that door.I had to explain to him how the dashboard features are pretty specific as to which door (or tire, for that matter) is acting up.Unbelievable!Bottom line, since nothing is under warranty, Honda has no problem with me putting out another $1,000 to replace the door . . again. The only thing I garnered from the phone call was a case file number! They will not acknowledge that this is obviously a problem that should NOT be recurring like this & they shoud share some responsibility in the cost.I have also been blessed with run-flat tires on this model which I have had to replace several times at $1200/4 tires.I am sorely disappointed in what I thought was a reputable company that would stand behind its product.I will be selling the vehicle & will never set foot in a Honda dealership again.

I have a 2010 Honda Accord EX-L 4 Cyl (45,000 miles and bought new) and it burns oil between changes. I have spoken to mechanics, friends and family and everyone is in agreement that cars do not burn oil unless they are old or have a mechanical issue. The first time I brought it to my dealers attention, the service rep. agreed that was normal. This was in Aug. of this year. They set me up on an oil consumption test. Also, I should mention that when it begins to burn the oil, my oil lamp light indicator flickers and my engine makes a tapping noise when I accelerate every so often. I went back in 2,000 miles later for a check and was told that the oil was fine and that the software update they preformed in August should take care of my issue. (Ive seen no advertised recalls on this yet they have the software update out there) At 6,000 miles, the lamp light came on again and my engine began making the tapping noise. I was ready for my normal change anyhow. Took it in to my dealer, explained I was still having the same issue. They found it to be 3/4 a quart low and their mechanic said this was normal for 6,000 miles of driving. My concern though is that my power train warranty will be up in another year or so and I am worried my engine has already suffered damage since it makes that tapping noise. Service rep said at the latest oil change that he has seen 5-10 of these cases come through and that the software update should remedy it. I am going to formally write Honda so they will at least have my concern on file. Service rep said Id be highly considered if I needed my engine replaced after my warranty is up since I have been documenting everything. But overall, I am disgusted that I pay what I pay a month for a brand that is supposed to be excellent yet I am having issues. If this continues and nothing is done, I can promise I wont be buying another Honda and Ill make sure all around me know my experiences.

The Honda is very dependable with good gas mileage. Solid construction. I did a great deal of research before buying a Honda and thanks to Consumer Affairs narrowed it down to Nissan, Toyota and Honda. The design of the Honda was superior as was the handling and performance. I knew it was the right car for me at this point in time.

Wife purchased a 2019 Ridgeline. At 89 miles vehicle would not start and was towed to Honda. Since then the vehicle has 1200 miles and has broken down 4 times. 3 times it was towed for not starting and the only reason it wasnt towed a fourth time was that it literally broke down at the dealership after they had it for two days diagnosing why it would not start. Literally did not drive 100 feet and the transmission stopped working. Talked with customer service a few times so far. INFURIATING!! On my first call I was informed rather quickly I would NOT be getting my money back or a new truck. When asked what they were going to do for me... wait for it... they said They would call them and tell them to fix it right!!! AWESOME!!! In subsequent conversations all customer service regurgitates is warranty and repair talking points. At NO time will they discuss the consistent breakdowns as a problem nor will they let me speak to anyone above them. They disconnected me yesterday as I refuse to sit and listen to someone rattle off the business talking points. I would think any reasonable person would expect their new vehicle to not break down 4 times in the first 1200 miles. Seems Honda doesnt mind how many times it happens. Because remember... they will call and have them fix it right. NEVER AGAIN!!

Purchased a 2012 Honda Civic Sedan on Feb. 9th, 2012. Drove it for 2 days and my lower back started to hurt like crazy. I mean I could barely get off of my couch without being in excruciating pain! Called the dealer and he recommending by a lumbar support at Walgreens. Wow! Great fix! Apparently, they have a bad design and they tell you to buy a lumbar support. I looked on a Honda forum and there were several complaints about the civic seats. Spoke with the General Manager and the dealership is suppose to call me on Monday! Will see what they say! 28-32 MPG in town doesnt do anyone any good if you cant drive the car because the seats are so uncomfortable you cant bare the excruciating lower back pain!

So at 13,900 miles she had to have the rear pads replaced at a cost of $212.00.Since she drives an average of 12,000 miles a year, shell need a brake replacement annually. I recently drove down to Florida to visit my sister in my 6 month old 2016 Honda Civic. Once I reached Orlando, all of my warning lights turned on and my car stalled. I had it towed to Holler Honda on Semoran Boulevard Thursday night. It is now Saturday MORNING and I have not heard anything regarding my car or even getting a loaner. I have called Holler Honda TEN TIMES within these two days and each time Ive been placed on hold and transferred to a line where they are insistent on taking down my name and number to give me a callback. Unfortunately they never do call back. At this point I would love to leave that car that costs me $500 at the dealership since its such a freaking headache!!

My husband purchased a Honda CBR250R motorcycle on 4/4/2012 and faulty on 8/4/2012 while he went Taiping trip with his group of biker friends. The motorbikes certainly cant start after stop to have a drink in Taiping town. So far, we have been changing so many new bikes but this is the first time this kind of problem arose, which feels uneasy and yet needs to arrange towing service from Taiping back to Ipoh. In my mind, Honda should bear all the cost incurred including the towing service which make us feel unsatisfied of the product. I have been sending two complaints to Ban Hoe Seng webpage, but no reply from them. I feel disappointed and lack confidence to spread around confidently of Honda product. All my friends ask us about the incident.

On 03/12/2015 while travelling from Ernakulam to Kollam on official trip along with 3 other colleagues, halfway thru the right side quarter panel glass (glass pcs between back door and the dicky door) automatically shattered. When we checked with the service centres they said they have never come across such instance before and this can be claimed only under insurance. We are not ready to accept this. This should be a product defect since there was no other reason we could see. Has anybody else faced such a issue?

Almost killed a driver getting off the freeway as the master cylinder on my Honda failed: the brake pedal went right smack to the floor. Tried to pump the pedal to no avail and then tried the emergency brake but shockingly nothing worked. Rammed right into the Prius in front of me. My last Honda the master cylinder also failed but I lucked out in that pumping of the pedal worked and I was able to get it home for the mechanic to take care. Heard Honda doesnt care that you could lose several lives because the master cylinder died on you.

I just received my 2018 Honda Accord a week ago, drove the car 300 miles and transmission needs to be replaced. Honda corporate wont give me a new car and gave me a bunch of lame excuses. I paid $35000 for a brand new car and dont want a car that is already messed up! Local dealership agrees with me but they are not the decision makers but I have been told by others that the dealership could make this decision and do the right thing for the customer. This is my second Honda car but will certainly be the last one! I will take to every social media site possible to express my extreme displeasure as well as the local TV stations.

I bought a Galaxy Gray Honda Civic LX Sedan new on Memorial Day weekend in 2008. In 2014, I noticed that the paint on the roof was fading (it looked like it had been rubbed really hard in some areas and just came off). A 6-year old car with fading paint? That made no sense, so I checked and found there was a Honda bulletin issued addressing the paint issues and that they would repaint the affected areas. I took it to the dealer where I bought it, they kept it for two weeks and didnt offer me a loaner. They acted like they were doing me this huge favor by repainting it for free. They had a body shop repaint the roof, hood, and front fenders. I thought that was the end of it. Well, at about 7.5 years of age, the paint started coming off the trunk. I went back to the dealer and was told sorry, its out of warranty. We cant do anything for you. Now the car is 9 years old and the paint is coming off two of the doors as well as the trunk. Also, the rubber stripping along both sides of the windshield cracked and broke off, and the rubber trim along two of the windows has done the same. Im very disappointed. This is my third Honda Civic; I previously had an 89 and a 98 and had no problems like this. My car only has 87,000 miles on it, so it should last me at least another 9 years; its just going to look like crap unless I spend $$$ to repaint it. Why didnt Honda just repaint the entire car when they had it? The quotes Im getting to repaint the affected areas range from $1500 to $2100. I trusted Honda due to my previous experiences, but this will be my last Honda. When Consumer Reports asked me if I would buy this car again, I had to answer No. When I hear or see those Helpful SoCal Honda Dealer commercials, I turn the channel. Theyll help complete strangers with things, but they wont help their own customers! Their quality has really gone downhill and they just dont seem to care.

The car is fantastic, but has a lot of nickel and dime expenses. It gets incredibly costly, but is a good family vehicle overall. It does what we need it to do. I like that it has a lot of room and three row seating. When you have a lot of kids that have a lot of stuff, you need a lot of room for car seats and leg room. But I dislike that it gets so expensive to keep it maintained. A low maintenance car would be much easier on our growing family. We could spend more on family activities if we were spending less on the car.

Since my car was new. At 300 miles, I discovered all the fluids were below the recommended marks. The car was never PDId and Honda acknowledged this. At 600 miles, the power steering and engine have been vibrating/making noise. Honda inspected my car several times and it was not until the car was over 2000 miles that they decided to replace the power steering pump. The vibration, they said it was all fixed and done. Honda was supposed to re-inspect the car in early February 2012. I am still waiting for a call from Chris, my case manager. The car is still vibrating at idle; the power steering is still making noises and also vibrates. Front suspension, which was also a problem at 300 miles (according to the dealer who tightened bolts) is still making noises and vibrates. This is a brand new car, and now, at little over 6000 miles, I am ready to get rid of it and take legal actions against American Honda. I have all the documentation from each dealer/mechanic visit.I also have all telephone conversations with Honda (I work in the customer service/hospitality industry and I cannot switch this off for Hondas case manager) and I am scheduled to have a specialized engineer inspect my car for faults to pursue legal actions. I feel unsafe driving my car to work everyday. I am very frustrated and disappointed with Honda and it makes me very sad that simple communications are not even happening between Honda and me.

I purchased a Honda Insight 2020 on the last day of 2020 and got a pretty good deal. I got a flat tire and called Honda Roadside assistance-- the car does not come with a spare. Only a box to blow the tire back up and I guess plug the hole with some time of goop. The instructions seemed daunting so I asked if the roadside assistance could help me with this and was told NO-- all they could do was tow the car. The first person I spoke with from Honda said they could transfer me to Honda care to help me walk through the steps but instead got another roadside assist person (I think his name was Aid, pronounced Ed)l. He could not understand me and kept asking the same questions when I explained it to him. It then turned out that the puncture was on the sidewall and the machine will not work when there is damage to the sidewall. Additionally, Honda would not let me ride in the tow truck. Normally a flat tire is not a big deal; if I had got help changing the tire I could have been on my way. Instead, the car needed to be towed and I needed to find another way home and had to wait a day for the tire to be changed. What if I had been far from home with no one to pick me up? I would have been stranded. It is absolutely irresponsible for Honda to put people in this situation. Honda should provide a free spare tire and kit. Mary Jo **.

I bought a beautiful 2008 Honda Accord in May 2008. Brand new. 7 miles on the odometer. I also purchased the 100,000 mile bumper to bumper extended warranty. My car now registers 91,000 miles. I bought the car in Los Gatos, CA. at the dealership. I lived in Los Gatos, CA. A few months afterwards the dealership closed and now I am expected to drive all the way over to Fremont, CA. I chose Stevens Creek Honda in San Jose, CA.Every oil change, new tires, maintenance was done there. And a year ago I moved to Ventura, CA.Now I have to choose a new dealership to change the oil, etc. so I chose DCH Honda of Oxnard, CA. From the start I have had issues with them. I am in the process of another Oil Consumption test. I found out that that, and the brakes, are the number 1 complaint on the 2008 Accord. At 43,000 miles Stevens Creek Honda installed the oil consumption software. My car is using oil. The life of the oil has nothing to do with the amount of oil that is in the car. My Life oil usage stated I had 90% but the oil dip stick doesnt even register the oil. I had only put 850 miles on the car. This nonsense has been going on for over a year. I wear a dress, I am not at liberty to constantly check the oil.Plus, I have owned three other Hondas and NEVER had this problem with a car or a dealership. I called to have the oil changed at 40% oil life and they told me not to change the oil because Honda doesnt recommend it! Oh Please! If I want to change the oil, let me! Three times I have been to the dealership to complain. The repair manager, **, tells me my car is fine. They have been putting a lighter weight oil in the car, the oil cap clearly states a specific weight oil. What is that about? I am no genius but the obvious is there. The lighter weight oil is leaking through the piston o-rings. I need an ring job. I was told by my service advisor that they had an abundance of the lighter oil and that is why they are using it. They are telling me that they are adjusting the valves and putting in the recommended oil, and the car should be fine. The car is at 91,000 miles. If I need a ring job later, after my warranty has expired, I will be out thousands of dollars!

2014 Honda CRV grinding noise - VTC Actuator issue - I bought my Honda CRV
2014 Honda CRV grinding noise - VTC Actuator issue - I bought my Honda CRV in mid-2013. By the time the car was 1 year old, with 10,000 miles, there was a grinding noise when I would start the car. The grinding noise lasts about 2 seconds. It has been into a Honda dealership several times. I was told Honda is working on a fix and that the problem would be addressed when the engineering department had the issue figured out. One year later (but still under warranty), the grinding noise is louder and longer than before, and happens almost every time I start the car. Upon doing some research, I learned that Honda has been installing the defective VTC actuator since 2008, in Accords. The defective actuator was also installed in 2012-2014 CRVs. It appears that Honda continued to use the defective actuator since 2008, yet customers are being told that a fix is in the works, 7 years later. American Honda has advised Honda service departments to not replace the actuator as it is likely that the replacement actuator will present the same grinding noise. A regional case manager also assured me that a fix was in the works but did not comment when I pointed out that Honda continued to use a defective part from 2008-2014. Honda repeatedly emphasizes that this is not a safety or performance issue, to which I have replied that is likely the reason it has been 7 years with no fix -- it is a low priority and Honda chooses to direct its engineering resources elsewhere. I am not sure why there has been no class action law suit to address this multi-year problem. Dealerships will not do anything as American Honda will not allow replacements to be made. This is my last Honda. Their way of doing business is horrendous. What I have now is a vehicle that definitely attracts attention (but not in a good way) when it is started as everyone in the vicinity gets to enjoy the grinding sound of metal-on-metal.

Hello, I visited Metro Honda service center on 4/8/2019 for regular service
Hello, I visited Metro Honda service center on 4/8/2019 for regular services. They change oil in my car on 28,503 miles and my current miles is 30,245 so just after I drive 1742 miles my cars oil life is 60% left. Actually when my car was on 30,000 miles that time I found that my cars oil life is now just 60% left. I clearly feels that this service center done something wrong with my car because as per my research I know that Honda Civic 2016 Ex-T model have synthetic oil and that have normally life of 7500 miles. In my car already 40% oil life is finished so I will get oil change soon around at 31,500-32,000 miles (from now after 1500 to 2000 miles). Every time I go to this service center and they are only the people changing oil in my car when this time I went there that customer service representative asked me that, Why are you just coming here for oil change and and why tire rotation and other services you are not giving us to do it here. I told them because they are charging too much money and not doing proper services so then customer service representative told me that, then why do you came here for oil change, go to the another service center who ever is giving you cheaper service, and that time I didnt give him any answer but I feel that this is not the right way to talk with the Honda customer. I am using Honda car because I have trust on the company. I strongly feels they did something wrong with my cars oil that why 40% of oil life finished too much early and previously I never seen that my oil life reduce this much faster. I am using my car daily. I have another same model car that is also 2016 Honda civic Ex turbo model and same silver color but that car I bought from another dealer and in that car also I drive same mileage and still in that car I change my cars oil around at 6000+ miles every time. I have trust on Honda that why I am using two same model of cars because I am driving it everyday. So I want refund for this oil change and also I want proper service for my car. I clearly feels that Metro Honda from where I bought my car and there I am going every time for oil change they did something wrong. Also, one more thing I would like to describe here that is before around 10 months ago at this service center they found that in one of my cars back side tire due to manufacturing fault there was something wrong with the brake and that they found after 2 years and 3 months after I drive my car for 24000 miles around. This is the thing which is risky for someones life. So you can imagine how much great services they are providing to the Honda customers.I want you to know that this is not a good business practice where they didnt behave good with the Honda customer and not giving them proper service. Please take some strict action on this and I want a clear justice for my car. Please fix my cars oil life problem. I hope I will get back very soon from the Honda Company and please solve the issue in my car with the oil life. -Harsh

And I will trade this one for a Toyota by tomorrow. I think it is pretty pathetic that you have to remove a perfectly good manifold to get to the starter, who was the brain child of that design. I thought you built cars to last and to be low maintenance. Well, if one starter cost that much, how is it low maintenance? That’s very, very sad. Honda has lost my business.
