I tried to ask for a roadside assistance for my 4 month old Honda Odyssey due to flat tire, they told me exactly its gonna be 60 mins or less because it requires to be towed, 60 mins gone by but no roadside assistance. No call to tell me that it got delayed, waited. I tried to call them and follow up but they told me its gonna be 28 more mins, this is really bad customer service, good thing its not winter or snowing or I wouldve been froze to death.

Our 2003 Accord (that we service at regular intervals and did everything the Honda dealer recommended) had the camshaft literally start coming apart. The damage to the motor was very costly. Because it was over 100,000 miles, the dealer told us our only recourse was with Honda Motors. I contacted Todd ** and he said it was just a normal wear and tear, and then said he was sorry that he couldnt help us. Normal wear and tear? A camshaft? I guess the words manufacturers defect isnt in Hondas nomenclature.

My 2008 Honda Civic LX have a 10 years Rust Proof warranty. I brought it back every year for rust inspection and touch up, now I found out they never did a single thing to touch up. As when I took my car to Canadian Tire to change 4 new tires, when they finished, they said I should take some pictures and show it to Honda. The underside of the car is all rust, he said when you touch it, it is bone dry, they never put anything or do any touch up. I called the manager of Honda, he said unless there is a hole, they do not do anything, so I said, it said touch up as necessary, so what the heck? Then he said when I bring in the car for transmission fluid change next week, he will look at it with me together. I took 6 pictures of all the rust underside. So disappointed with them, if they are not doing any touch up, what do they mean by 10 years rust proof warranty. It is just a complete ripoff.

I am currently driving Honda Jazz model year 2009. Two years ago and on its first year, driving was okay until I found that they seem to be having a transmission problem. I have sent my car and reported the problem that I am facing. Honda Sri Utama advised me to change my engine oil and all four new tire, which doesnt make sense at all. After spending a lot of money to do so, I am still facing the same problem with the transmission. I went back and reported but they require me to meet the engineer from Honda Malaysia. He couldnt solve my problem but claims that theres nothing wrong with the transmission. Ive checked with several street workshop and there is a problem with the transmission which Honda is denying. I went back to Honda and the dealer I bought the car from, finally said that they do not know what is the problem. This is cheating. We spent a lot of time and money to buy a vehicle and all we get is be cheated and not a satisfaction.

Just bought a 2020 Honda Rtl Rideline. Love everything about it except there is a whistling wind noise coming in from the front windshield and door almost like your window is not closed all the way. Honda kept the vehicle for 3 days and could not find the problem. Contacted the area case manager and his answer was that there is nothing they could do because that is how the vehicle is made. Just because that is how the vehicle is made doesnt make it right. There is definitely a defect that is causing the noise to come into the vehicle while driving on the highway.

The lack of response contradicts this statement.

My issue is my 2013 Honda CRV I financed 3years ago. Vehicle has been stalling and throwing all kinds of codes out there. Almost put 2000 into it just getting it towed. Car stalled in middle of busy street, I almost got hit. I took it to my local PEP Boys and they did 500 worth of work to it, stopped the next day. I took it back to pep boys and they kept it for 3days. And said they didnt have technology to fix what was wrong with it. I got it towed to my dealership where I financed and the symptoms got worse. More codes, misfires, spluttering, stalling, shaking. Hill-Kelly Dodge my dealer said to have it towed to my manufacturer which is Honda. My vehicle has been there for days, the advisor called day2 and said all it needed was gas. I said, Really I keep gas in my car. She also said it was driving good. I refused to pick up. I told her this has been going on for years. She kept it and said they would just run it and see if anything happens. Eventually it did. It started throwing codes again and misfiring. So she said they would work on it and hopefully see what they could find. I called honda corporation and email twice. Representatives were horrible. Its was, What do you want us to do about this problem. I said, Your company made the car. This is a big safety issue. The representative just started talking about random stuff. I was very dissatisfied with the customer service there. I really wanna get a case started against this company. I will never buy another honda vehicle about this.

Honda had a recall on their power steering hose because these leaked. Mine actually developed a leak so bad that the fluid leaked onto the exhaust and created so much smoke that my wife thought the car was on fire (she was driving it alone). She did make it home and I let it cool down and checked the situation. All of the fluid had leaked out and after refilling it, the power steering pump made a terrible noise. We got Honda to replace the hose under the recall but they refused to replace the pump because they said that after the 36,000-mile warranty... too bad basically. They seemed to agree that the faulty hose caused the fluid to all leak out which in turn ruined the pump but refused to cover it. We were thinking of buying a new Accord until this. If they admit to making a crappy part, they should cover everything that is damaged by that part.

I purchased my first car, a Honda Civic Ex 2009, back in May 2009. I loved this car, until it started giving me troubles. Before the 60K, they have already replaced the motor brackets, the battery, and the TPMS sensors (4 times). Yes, the TPMS sensors have been replaced 4 times in the last 3 months. Last month, I had a flat tire; and no light came on. I stopped due to a strange noise and realized that I had a flat. I contacted the dealer, and they said the light does not come on until you driven over 28MPH. Well, I left it like, I drove it for a couple miles, and the light came back on. I figure it needed air pressure. After a few miles, the light came back off. The dealer had already replaced the sensor 4 times before this, and again, the TPMS sensor light came back on again yesterday. I contacted the dealer to explain to them about the situation, and they said they wanted me to bring in the vehicle for check-up. I scheduled an appointment. I also contacted Honda headquarters (for the second time) and spoke to Mohammed. I told him about the situation I was going through, and he asked me what should I expect from Honda. I told him that at this point, I was so regretful that I purchased a vehicle that was broken from the beginning, that the vehicle is non fixable, and that I wanted to return it. He said that I needed to go back to the dealer and return the vehicle. I did not like his attitude; he did not even try to resolve this issue. He said if I had already made up my mind, then I should go ahead and return the vehicle. I mean, if Im paying for this car, the least that Honda should do for me is a replacement. Shouldnt I? Well, Honda, the least that you can do at this time is give a replacement vehicle or the money that I have paid you for this piece of crap! I will like you to do this before I take matters further. At this point, I am tired of having to drive an unsafe and broken vehicle made from you, Honda. I am tired of going back to dealers to get the car fixed. I am tired of you, Honda, not paying attention to your customers! If you do not resolve this issue, I promise that I will no longer ever in my life purchase another vehicle made from Honda or its affiliates. And Im only 24. Guess how many cars I would buy from now until I cant drive anymore!

Honda wouldnt repair due to high cost of pearl paint ruined. We ended up losing 12,000 on the deal! The other car went in for trans service, came out with Honda adding something, due to recall that affects the drivability of the car. I owned the car, my girlfriend took it in and never notified me. I hate the car now. I will never buy another one, due to poor customer service and support. I just purchased a FORD F-150 and plan on selling every Honda in our family (asians). LMAO. Im going to sum this up as quick as possible. We bought a car in January of 2016 and it started to smell in March. Well me and my girls got sick and this smell wouldnt go away. It was in everything and we had to get rid of a few things. So I took it into the dealership on 4/20 and they said theyd get it cleaned up and back to me... Well its now 6/23... which is 6 months later and I still dont have my car! Yes there was a leak in the back that they couldnt find so they sealed up the whole back end. Then they found mold in multiple places, but Ive had to fit the whole way. Customer service is horrible at the dealership and at Corporate. We bought a 75,000 car! Brand new and we got sick! Mold can kill you. No one seemed to care, and all they do is pass the blame. No one ever returns calls or admits anything. They just blame someone else. And now theyre not wanting to give us the full amount of our loan back?! Im not losing any money from this! We did nothing wrong! We were sold a bad product that couldnt be fixed! And now Honda and the dealership are trying to jip us out of money?! Weve been making payments even when we dont have the car?!!

I admit that I hold onto your vehicle for a long time since they perform so well but each time I have had to replace my car, it is due to the body frame rusting out, never the engine. It is frustrating to have the engine performing like a champ but the body giving out.

I went into Honda on Rt. 22 in Hillside, NJ for a diagnosis test & oil change. The service advisor tells me its just my battery. Ok so I wait for them to change the battery. Then he comes out 20 min later and says Can you come with me? I have to show you something. The mechanic shows my cables are ate up from the battery. He cannot change battery without changing cables which was approximately 600 and some change which I didnt have. My mechanic states my barrings are also leaking which was approximately 700 and some change. Now I had my car serviced back in April, they didnt see all the acid and corrosion on my battery. YES THEY DID, it was too much not to and to eat my cables from April to Oct the way it did, it was a lot of acid. Ok so I tell them look, fix it where I can drive it and Ill pay for the oil change and diagnosis test which was $85. While Im waiting they come tell me they dont have the parts. Ok give me a loaner. They dont have loaners, they have a shuttle - but fine, Im going to East Orange, OH. We dont go to East Orange, we go to Newark, Irvington, Union, Hillside and Elizabeth. Ok East Orange is a hop, skip, and jump away from all of them - WTF. Now Im mad, frustrated, hungry. I get a call with bad news of a relative passing - the day is just going downhill. Then a man approaches me about a car. I go in his office, we talk. He tells me I can take a new car & bring it back Saturday. Well that sounded great at the time so I sign temporary insurance papers to cover the new car, a privacy paper in which they said it was mandatory, and left with the car. I leave out the state on an emergency, my brother brings the car back to Rt. 22 Honda in Hillside and guess what? They SOLD MY CAR, told me I would have to give the $150 to get it back. Sorry Rt. 22 Honda - you better be very very careful of them.

Scott Honda, in West Chester PA, was able to quickly diagnose that there was a faulty bearing in the transmission and as such ended up replacing the transmission. ROBERTS HONDA had thr car for 3 weeks and did not diagnose the problem and they gave it back to me with it still making the noise loud and clear. Very good experience with Scott Honds though. Theyre team is very knowledgable, organized and customer service oriented. Only time will tell how well this car holds up but either way Scott Honda definitely has a fan in me!

Early last year (2017) the paint on the roof started to peel and chip and is growing at an alarming rate. The cost to repair this runs about $5,000 in upstate NY, an extended paint warranty was given that expired in 2016 (VERY sneaky Honda). Also the starter motors are garbage, expect to replace once every 2 years or so (another $800 after labor and parts every time). Very surprised Honda has stooped this low on quality but I guess we get what we pay for. That being said no complaints about engine life, which seems to be its only strong point.

My son purchased a new 2013 Honda CRX from Colby Honda, Northridge, CA. When he took his car in for the last service they impounded his car for what they said, a period of about two months. Further, they told him he would not receive his car back until the airbag is replaced or he signed a waiver releasing Honda from any liability for damage or injury caused by the faulty airbag. The dealership did provide my son with a poor quality 2002 loaner car that had 100,040 miles on the odometer. Last week he took a trip and the cars engine warning light came on.In the meantime my son is making the monthly payments for his impounded Honda CRX. He tried to contact Honda Corporation and was referred back to the dealership. The customer service person at the dealership was rude and not helpful. I believe Honda should provide its customer with a loan car that is at least equal to the car he is making payments on or waive his scheduled payments until they return his car. The airbag problem is the responsibility of Honda, not the customer. I would assume numerous other customers are dealing with this same issue. In the meantime, Honda continues to sell and deliver new cars that must have compliant airbags. What can be done to correct the problem?

Unfair denial of warranty for my 2010 Honda Rancher with VIN ** purchased on 10/22/2011.On 7/16/2011, the transmission locked up, less than nine months after purchase. I took it to Donelson Cycles in St. Ann, MO to be repaired since it was still under warranty. I was told by the service manager that their Honda representative denied any warranty assistance. I then called Honda Customer Support and was told they would investigate further and get back with me within a couple days.On 7/27/2011, I received a call from Honda Customer Support and was told Honda Warranty assistance was denied because I used an aftermarket oil filter.Being a loyal Honda consumer for many years, I was very disappointed and surprised at their decision to deny any repair assistance. I consulted with an attorney and he suggested I try and resolve this issue prior to retaining his service to move forward with legal action.I would be satisfied if Honda honored their warranty or at least offered reasonable assistance.

Honda fuel door: 2017 Honda Ridgeline. There is an outside door with weatherstripping, however, dust can get between the door and the capless filler opening and then on into the hose leading to the cannister. There is a flap at the end of the hose going to the tank, and there is another flap inside at the top of the hose. Between the two flaps, there is a small hole at the bottom of the filler neck, approximately 1/4 by 3/8. Dust can get between these two flaps and be sucked into the hose leading to the canister, eventually plugging it and setting the error code. This is a design error for a pickup which is advertised for use on dirt, mud, and snow. Though there is weatherstripping on the outside door, there are two small drainage holes inside the door. These two holes empty just ahead of the rear wheel. Dust can enter either through the outside door seal or through the drainage holes. At the least, there should not have been a hole between the two flaps without some type of filter, allowing dust to collect just in front of the second flap and be sucked into the cannister. Though one could clean the outside flap before filling the tank, that is not possible between the two flaps, and while driving dust can be sucked into the line going to the canister. I think Honda should pay to have the line cleaned and the canister changed if necessary.History: At about 18,000 miles the check engine light came on, emissions problem. I took the pickup to Mistlin Honda in Modesto, CA, on November 13, 2018. Their report was that the car was dirty underneath, reset the computer and told me it would not happen again. The check engine light came on again at about 23,000 miles. I took the pickup in again on May 28, 2019. That time I was told there was dust in the system and it was not covered under warranty.I called Honda at 1-800-999-1009 and spoke with a rep who assigned the call to case #** and was referred to Lovette, same number, Ext **. She called me back on August 1st and after I explained the issue to her, told me to call Dennis **, Service Manager at Mistlin Honda, 549-5000, Ext **. She said he would be able to agree that the problem should be covered under warranty. Dennis told me he was not authorized to do such a thing and I would have to talk to someone at Honda to authorize such a repair.I called her back to tell her that Dennis told me he can’t do that. I left a message; since then I have called three times but she never returned my calls. Called Aug. 9 and got another rep who was of no help. Said a case manager will call me within three working days. Old case manager, Lovette finally called back and told me, essentially, tough. Last Honda I’ll ever buy. Have a Subaru with over 200,000 miles, same environment and no problems. Ready to replace it – will be with another Subaru.

It works on and off once every 2 weeks I can unlock and open, every other time I have to throw things in trunk through back seat. These things are definitely not from wear and tear, have never had issues like this in any other car I have owned. I purchase this vehicle in the Spring of 2007 at Honda of Midlands in Columbia SC with 56,000 miles... this was a certified used vehicle with 7 years or 120,000 miles warranty, I purchase the service warranty and religiously took it to the sister dealer in my city. About Mid Feb 2017 I took it for service and they need it to check my engine light as it was on. The tech check the pressure of my cylinders and found #2 to have coolant coming from the wall of the engine. Also, need to repair my seals and other miscellaneous items. Little that I know that the tech found a crack between the wall of the coolant and the engine block thus needing a new engine. Granted I have 158,000 miles on it and no longer has a warranty. Honda told me NO canNOT help me and the dealer ask me for $5,000 for a used re manufactured engine. This is not my first honda as I own also a Honda Civic EX with over 200,000 miles own it. The Service Manager told them that this was a rare occurrence maybe 1 in 10,000 which doesnt help me. I opted for them NOT to repair it and I picked up in pieces sitting in my garage waiting for a new engine. Im not happy nor I want to buy a new one anymore.

2014 Honda CRV grinding noise - VTC Actuator issue - I bought my Honda CRV
2014 Honda CRV grinding noise - VTC Actuator issue - I bought my Honda CRV in mid-2013. By the time the car was 1 year old, with 10,000 miles, there was a grinding noise when I would start the car. The grinding noise lasts about 2 seconds. It has been into a Honda dealership several times. I was told Honda is working on a fix and that the problem would be addressed when the engineering department had the issue figured out. One year later (but still under warranty), the grinding noise is louder and longer than before, and happens almost every time I start the car. Upon doing some research, I learned that Honda has been installing the defective VTC actuator since 2008, in Accords. The defective actuator was also installed in 2012-2014 CRVs. It appears that Honda continued to use the defective actuator since 2008, yet customers are being told that a fix is in the works, 7 years later. American Honda has advised Honda service departments to not replace the actuator as it is likely that the replacement actuator will present the same grinding noise. A regional case manager also assured me that a fix was in the works but did not comment when I pointed out that Honda continued to use a defective part from 2008-2014. Honda repeatedly emphasizes that this is not a safety or performance issue, to which I have replied that is likely the reason it has been 7 years with no fix -- it is a low priority and Honda chooses to direct its engineering resources elsewhere. I am not sure why there has been no class action law suit to address this multi-year problem. Dealerships will not do anything as American Honda will not allow replacements to be made. This is my last Honda. Their way of doing business is horrendous. What I have now is a vehicle that definitely attracts attention (but not in a good way) when it is started as everyone in the vicinity gets to enjoy the grinding sound of metal-on-metal.

When we checked with the service centres they said they have never come across such instance before and this can be claimed only under insurance. We are not ready to accept this. This should be a product defect since there was no other reason we could see. Has anybody else faced such a issue?

I brought my leased HRV -- 21,000 miles and under warranty—into Ocean Honda, Ventura, CA. The airbag light had come on. I was told it was rodent damage. The repair is not covered under warranty and the charge is $2,200! This is exploitation! A simple google search shows that since Honda and Toyota changed to soy-based materials, rodent damage has increased exponentially. Honda is not standing by their manufacturing decisions. I did not make the choice of materials to protect the very critical electrical system, Honda did. I feel so taken advantage of; I dont feel as if I can trust Honda ever again. Honda put out a statement that their solution is the rodent tape - ha! I called to see about buying a roll and the charge from Honda is $79! And how am I, an elderly person, going to wrap the car’s electrical wiring myself! That is outrageous. Not only is Honda not fixing the problem under warranty but is charging me outrageous prices to repair and prevent further problems. This is simply not acceptable when consumers have other choices in the market. I will not be silent about this issue and I hope others who find themselves in this position also voice their experiences and frustration. Honda was once considered a prestigious car maker. This is oh so disappointing and frustrating. If I could afford this expense, I would have a larger car and purchased, not leased. This is something like 10 lease payment for me to repair, no fault of my own. I live in a suburb, not out in the rural countryside. This is exploitative to say the least. Honda needs to step up and stand behind their product.

I have a new 2017 Honda Civic. I bought it in Oct. 2017. I have to jump start it every time I drive it, this is the worst Honda I have ever had. I have a 2006 Honda Civic. I bought it new. Its a better car than my new one. I take it to Honda. This just keep telling me its needs a new battery every time. Totally disappointed in Honda. About to park the car outside the dealership with a sign on it in protest. This has gone too far. I shouldnt be required to jump my car every time I want to drive it. Yesterday I woke up. Started it at 12 noon. I started it and then at 1 pm I need to go to the airport and damn car wont start at all. Somethings draining the power and Honda does nothing. Sure theres a lemon law in California. Already in contact with a attorney today. Will be the last time I visit this dealership. Ive bought 6 new Hondas. This will be the last. I will never give Honda a second thought.

My 2003 Black Honda Accord has lost clear coat on hood, roof, trunk and now some of its sides. It looks bad and its growing even bigger. Is there any recall on honda for this paint error? I read that every one is complaining about the same error on the same area of the honda. I have seen on other hondas with my own eyes with the same error on the same spots with same issue. Wow Honda has this paint job error? Couldnt believe it.

Worst brand new car I have ever owned. One year ago, I Purchased a brand new Honda HRV from a new car Honda dealer in Puerto Vallarta. To begin with the car which is supposed to be very easy on gas never gets more than 15 miles on a gallon no matter how I drive. Unless you drive on the most unblemished smooth as roads in the world this is suspension is terrible and incredibly bumpy. In less than one year the dashboard rattles like it’s a 15-year-old jalopy. The air conditioning does not blow strongly enough to even moderately cool down the car in warm weather. So far the dealership is offered to do nothing about the terrible gas mileage saying they’ve checked the car and it’s fine. I will be bringing in the car to correct the other problems but I have no confidence they will be fixed either. Honda should be embarrassed to have put out a model that is this terrible.

How in the world can that be when your email to me requesting the survey is less than 12 hours old? This is bad business and I will not hesitate in letting any and everyone know of the bad business you have passed my way. The time I wasted in completing your survey could have been better devoted to something much more productive. Please ensure that this message is provided to those in positions of authority because I want it known to key executives that this is bad business and that it warrants immediate attention. If you feel that it warrants a verbal response, ensure that its someone other than a customer service representative that will call me.Yes, Im totally dissatisfied that Honda (whom I purchased a 2012 automobile) would be behind a tactic so low! I made a purchase and was proud of the purchase made and the customer service provided. I do expect a positive response pertaining to this matter. I received this notice from Honda with this warning on my 2009 Accord V6. They said the parts will be available in late Summer/Fall 2016. They have an advisory to avoid having a passenger sit in the front passengers seat until the recall repair has been performed. However, they make no mention of the drivers side airbag. I am sure the warning applies to both but they dont mention that. One, they should be honest about driving the car until it is repaired and two, they should also do it as soon as possible, and three, make arrangements for the owners to have a safe car to drive until it can be repaired.

I brought my car (Honda Crosstour) into service in which I have an extended warranty and purchased a service plan. One month later I experienced a short in which all the electronics of the car went dead. I took the car into the same service center and I was told water is in the navigation unit. This is located at the back area on the right side. The first problem was the service team was not able to find out the cause of the problem. They did not provide me with options or update me that the warranty does not cover water damage. The service area open up the car and discovered water flowed into the navigation electrical unit area at the back of the car. The first words that came out of the service manager was oh well maybe someone played a prank on you and threw water in there, I dont know how water got in there. Its been a week. I have no car and they will not give me a loaner. They want my insurance to cover the cost which is about 3900 for the navigation unit and about another 1000 approx in labor costs. The insurance adjuster stated that this leak was not due to a minor bumper accident that I had 6 months prior. The service manager indicated that water may be leaking through there. The insurance will therefore not cover this item. So I am left without car, and attempts at escalation is arduous and stressful. This is the first time I am a Honda owner and if this situation is not resolved by Honda I will never be one again!

We are leasing a brand new Honda Accord - 5 months old. The paint bubbles up all over the hood and sides of car - after bubbling up, it will chip off - then it appears as stone chips as we were told by Honda managers. We waited for over 3 weeks for a response... Stone does not cause paint to bubble up and chip off. Pictures have been taken, but does not show the real thing. A visual inspection was made by one Honda district manager and owner of dealership - it was wrote off as stone chips. Its horrible - all over the front. Our 2003 Honda Accord was in better condition than our new one. The customer representative 3,000 miles away from Honda had her mind made up along with Honda reps before it was even investigated. Next step - go to a professional collision/paint representative for our own assessment - legal counseling? We dont know... but we will not give up. Its a lot of money to spend leasing a brand new car and have the paint chip off. Stones do NOT cause bubbling of paint!! We are totally done with Honda - we always swore by Honda... Now we cant wait till our lease is up!! We were told paint chips arent covered by warranty... which we understand... but this is paint chipping off and bubbling up of paint... The paint actually lifts up and then chips off... Pictures do not show the significance of the problem.

It has done a great job holding up to our large family over the last 8 years. It has never needed any work, outside of the normal scheduled oil changes and maintenance, to keep it going strong. The leather interior held up to a family of 7, plus our 2 grandsons over the last 4 years. Not a single tear in the interior. Handles like a dream and drives like a car around corners. Stops wonderfully quick. At 240,000 miles, the notoriously bad transmissions for this year in Honda, finally gave out on me, with little warning. That is my first and only complaint.

No problems with this vehicle so far. The most important consideration in buying a new car is what dealership you buy it from. Many dealerships are pawns of the manufacturer, meaning they protect the manufacturers interest above their customers interest. They dont tell the customer the real truth when the customers car has a defect that the dealership was aware of before the car was sold to the customer. I personally was a victim of a dealership who exactly did what I described above. So, research the dealer more than you research the car you want to buy.

A week ago, I had a good experience with Honda sales which included a Salesman patiently pairing my phone with the Bluetooth. A week after the connection kept breaking which was verified by the salesman. He tried to connect his own phone to my Bluetooth and was unable to do so. Subsequently another salesman tried another phone which he was able to connect. The second salesman went into the service department to see if he could get any help at which time the Service Manager informed him that Honda does not support the (originally Sprint) Virgin Mobile service and showed him the Honda Canadian Website. I wrote to the Sales Manager, explaining that: 1) I was never informed that the Bluetooth was only available with certain providers, 2) My phone had worked for a week, 3) Another salesman was not able to pair his phone either and 4) My phone clearly recognizes the Honda Bluetooth even though the Honda Bluetooth has stopped recognizing my phone. I need to be helped. Have not heard back from him. Please help. Thanks.

I bought a 2017 CRV EX. We installed our car seat in the middle back row of the car. The car seat belt buckle and passenger belt buckle were switched, making it unsafe and difficult for the passenger to put on their seat belt. This is surprising to me because I dont think this is a small mistake. Its a safety issue. I called the dealer, Ralph Schomp Honda in Highlands Ranch, where we bought the car, and I was advised to bring it in for a half day inspection. This is already a hassle, to add to that, the dealer also charges $22/day for a loaner car. I feel like I am being hassled for a big mistake that Honda has made. This just doesnt feel right. This is a brand new 2017 car.I called America Honda and I was told that no one has complained about this. I Googled it and there are others that have complained about this situation. America Honda advised me to bring it into the dealership. Overall, I love the car but I am very disappointed about this big safety mistake from Honda and they are not being proactive to fix the issue. I called American Honda several times and they told me that they cant fix the issue at this time and have done everything according to federal safety regulations. I am very disappointed with American Honda.

I leased a 21 passport with my husband last month from Honda. The sales team was great, price was good and team was friendly -unfortunately this car has some issues! I don’t blame the dealer. I blame the maker (Honda). Since we bought the car I have been driving it back and forth to work and with my son. After a car wash one day I had noticed rust behind the wheels. I told my husband about it he said it wasn’t like this when we bought it. About week later I started to notice a weird feeling when driving so I gave my husband the car to drive. After him driving it he feels it has some transmission issues. Between that and the rust he was super pissed. He contacted Honda hq and brought it for service. The manager was super helpful and nice my husband said but unfortunately after the visit the rep that came from hq told us the car is normal! I’m sorry rusty/not proper functioning transmission is not normal. I am very unhappy that I do not feel safe to drive this car and now every month I have to pay for something I can’t even get behind the wheel. My husbands friend has the 20 passport. No issues. No rust. No transmission problems. Why is this the issue with the 2021? Issues after a little over a month of ownership not a good look. Awful job Honda!!

Honda Accord 2003 purchased brand new and serviced by Honda until approxima
Honda Accord 2003 purchased brand new and serviced by Honda until approximately 2 1/2 years ago. Many years ago, while the car was being serviced by Honda, I noticed a small spot on the front of the roof, which then got progressively larger and larger; it was eventually extremely noticeable when even glancing at the car. As this was happening, I began noticing the same type of spots around the edge of the cars hood and door edges. I really dont know anything about cars so didnt know what to do. At the same time, I wondered why the Honda service techs/mgrs never said anything to me about it, especially, since it got so bad. One day, I was searching online and found pictures of other peoples Hondas that looked the same as mine - some with big spots on the cars where the paint had apparently peeled as well as others with peeling around the edges of hoods, roofs, doors, trunks... This is when I found out that Honda refuses to acknowledge and fix the fact that they manufactured cars with clear coat that was incompatible with the paint that was used on those same cars, which has resulted in the damage to these cars, which were sold to unsuspecting consumers. Until I found these pictures and articles, I had no idea what was and is still happening to my car, which I have taken very good care of.Today, I have no mechanical problems but my cars exterior looks terrible due to Hondas manufacturing error. Just because this is not a safety issue does not mean that Honda should not be held accountable to fix - at no charge to the consumer - their error in using clear coat and paint that is incompatible. 2 1/2 years ago when I found out what this problem was, I asked the Honda service mgr why he never mentioned the peeling spots on my car. He got very angry and defensive; in fact, he yelled at me. I told him that I was not blaming him for the problem but considering the extent of the problem, he and all Honda service techs/mgrs must know about it, yet, he and the techs chose to remain silent. The least they could have done was, if they could not admit to this being a Honda defect, they should have, at least, explained to me what was happening to the car and advised how to get it fixed. Ive spent $1600 repainting the roof and hood; now I have to have the rest of the car repainted for $2000. Honda should be repainting my car at no charge to me and reimbursing me for the money that I spent fixing their known error/defect. Essentially, this should be a recall. Perhaps, its not a safety recall but it is still significantly detrimental to Honda consumers. Unfortunately, we are only consumers and Honda, as a large multinational with high powered attorneys behind them, has the advantage. That said, I will never purchase another Honda again.

I am filing a complaint and will continue to until my voice is heard. I bought a 2014 Honda Accord - left over in 2015, brand new 12 miles on the car. It is now 04/2017 and the clear coat is pitting ALL OVER THE CAR. There are 7 cars behind our home. I am the only one with a Honda and the only one with this problem. The Moon Honda dealership said it was due to the environment... Two Chevys (1 white, 1 black), Chrysler 200, Lincoln, Mazda and a Nissan are also parked behind our home and none of these brands have a problem with their clear coat. This is not right and Honda has lost a customer... All that needed to be done was realize the clear coat is bad and offer to treat me as a valued customer by fixing this and re-painting.Reporting this so others with this problem will realize it is not bird poop, other environmental situations or something else the dealership states is why they will not offer up a correction and re-paint their vehicle so it does not shred and look like a car that was in a fire or washed with vinegar... Look around and guarantee you will see a peeled up Honda. Shameful.

When driving on the interstate, my check engine light started flashing. I continued driving to get off the highest and since there was no noise or any change in performance, I assumed it would have been fine. Two minutes later, my car (07 Accord V6) shut itself off. I had it towed to an independent garage where I was told a spark plug had somehow came loose, fell through the cylinder, and exploded inside my engine. Now Im trying to decide what makes the most sense for a repair, to replace the engine or take apart the head and replace that and hope the ganging ring need to be replaced anyway. I purchased a new, 2022 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition just a little over two weeks ago. When my vehicle was less than two weeks old, with under 500kms it began throwing warning lights. The awd stopped working and my heater shut down entirely (in minus 30 weather). I was getting a total of eight different warning lights and I couldnt move my electric seats to be able to drive safely. Once I got my vehicle home it would no longer start. I figured no big deal, my vehicle hasnt even gone through its first tank of gas, Honda has a great reputation and will take care of me. I have never been so wrong about a manufacturer and have never felt so unappreciated as a customer. It took days to even get my vehicle towed. Ive now spent the past five days on the phone talking with over a dozen different people. Every person I spoke with said it was a different department or persons responsibility. Literally just passing the buck back and forth between Honda Customer Relations, Honda Roadside Assistance and the dealership. I even had my call dropped at one point. After being juggled around for days I finally demanded to speak to a supervisor at Honda Customer Relations. Customer relations told me that supervisors dont speak on the phone with customers. I thought I must have misheard what I was being told. I can buy a forty dollar watch from China and get a supervisor on the phone but not for a new vehicle? I spent 60k on a vehicle two weeks ago (though I havent actually been able to drive it for nearly half the duration of ownership) and Honda Canada doesnt even value me enough as a customer to allow me to speak to someone above the person answering the phone. I was told the only way I would be able to speak to a supervisor is if I was injured or if my vehicle injured someone else. Theyre lucky that I was able to pilot my heater less vehicle from a near laying position back to my house without injuring someone. I however, was not so lucky, as apparently an accident is the only way that you rate high enough to speak to someone with an answer other than we dont take care of that or its someone elses responsibility. Thats what it ultimately comes down to...caring. Honda obviously no longer cares if its customers are safe or remotely satisfied. My vehicle is sitting at the dealership 170kms away from my home, after it broke down due to no fault of my own. Not my fault but my problem. Hondas suggestion was either rent a vehicle on my dollar or talk to my insurance company about getting a rental. Honda Canada, as you have made blatantly clear at this point, your (technically my, though I dont actually have possession) malfunctioning, unsafe vehicle has become solely my problem after I signed on the dotted line. I however, will never buy another Honda and I will let everyone who will hear it know that Honda no longer stands behind their product and definitely not their customer. This has been unequivocally the worst buying experience Ive had to date. Im sitting here in utter disbelief, sick to my stomach trying to figure out how to get my new vehicle back home. I recommend that if youre shopping for a new vehicle that you dont just assume that Honda still stands for reliability and customer service as I had. Look into the customer complaints, class action lawsuits and youll likely figure out that Honda has adopted the money first, customer last stance that so many manufacturers are moving towards. Let my expensive mistake guide you away from a company that no longer embodies what used to be synonymous with Honda...Trust. Youll pay the Honda premium, theyll pocket your dollars, take your trust, crumple it up and toss it along side you into the trash. I may not speak for all your customers but I think all those youve tossed aside would agree...We arent asking for better.. were demanding it!

Rode the Honda for several years then parked it for lengthy time. Eventually pulled it out of the corner, charged the battery, put fuel in it and it took off on the second try. Very little maintenance needed and more than got my moneys worth out of it. Eventually sold it moved to the mountains and took up riding horses.

We have been a Honda family for many years. However, we have purchased our last Honda. In the last 5 years, we have purchased two Honda Accords. BOTH cars ran out of oil and damaged the engines. Honda tells us that the oil light only comes on when you are completely out of oil??? Well, by then, its too late. The first Accord, they put in a new engine for $3,000.00. Right before the warranty expired... it ran out of oil again. They fixed the engine, we sold the car and bought another Accord. On this particular model, Honda KNEW that oil consumption was a problem. Our car ran out of oil and did some damage to the engine. This happened 1,000 miles past the warranty date. Honda would NOT make good on this problem and wanted us to pay another $3,000.00 to fix this engine. We filed a claim with American Honda, and they said they would not pay AND that this car had a fix put on it because it had a recall for the oil consumption problem. We are now TOYOTA buyers.

So, for a car like this, I paid a high price, about $12000 after finishing paying my car loan. I recently noticed a coolant leak under my car and a couple of days later I brought it in to Honda of Bellevue for an inspection. A day later they told me that my engine block is cracked and forgot to mention that this is in fact a manufacturer defect, that HONDA admitted and for several times increased the warranty up to 10 years. They insulted me, offering me a $300 cash for the car, or to repair it for about $10000 just for labor - engine not included!I contacted Honda corporation and both dealerships here in Seattle area, they are all trying to wash their hands and not admitting to the fact that this is a MANUFACTURING DEFECT! They said, that they dont have maintenance history since I bought it. I bought this car in good faith, from a reputable dealership, thinking that it will serve me for many years if I treat it well, change oil and filters in time, which I DID! But I dont think its my fault they tried to cut corners to make the car cheaper and then realized that they messed up.All 2006 to 2009 Civics are in the position to have this issues at one point. For me it happened at 65k miles for others at 19k. Whatever the mileage, it will ALWAYS BE a MANUFACTURER DEFECT and HONDA should have the decency to warranty every person that bought this car, regardless of mileage and not just for 10 years. So, next time youre thinking to go to a Honda Dealership, to buy a car, thinking they are there for their clients...think twice. They are there to sell you a car, not to support you when you have a problem with it. Im very disappointed in HONDAs dealership dismissing attitude and lack of care in giving their clients the support they need when needed!

Honda is a great car, but it lags behind many other SUVs in the area of safety. My 2019 has some safety features but they are unpredictable and touchy. I am reluctant to use them, for example, the speed control does not pickup the car in front of you until very late, scary! It also does not have pedestrians detection in front.

I own a 2008 Honda Ridgeline that is at about 60,000 miles. I have taken especially good care of this vehicle with regular maintenance updates. Overall, other than the poor gas mileage (best is 20 mpg on highway), it has been a good vehicle. The problem is that two exhaust sensors have had to be replaced already at a cost almost $1,000.00, not to mention waiting at the Wilde Honda Dealership in Sarasota, Florida for many hours at a time. I cant imagine why the sensors have gone out already, and the incredible costs they have incurred. Honda has a reputation for build quality. Unfortunately when they do need repairs, the cost is an arm and a leg. Just FYI my other car, a 2010 Ford Flex has and still is running relatively problem free at 85,000 miles so far.

I had purchased a CB Unicorn Bike No. DL9SAJ3056 on 31/Oct/2011. I have faced a major problem about picking it up from the first day. I told the service center manager about my problem. He serviced my bike many times, yet there is no result. The engineer has also come for my bike, but there is also no result. Now I am dissatisfied with the bike. Lastly, I decided to file a complaint in the official site of Honda. I want to replace my engine as soon as possible, please try to solve my problem.

This is my 3rd Honda minivan and will be my last, since Honda doesnt want to stand behind their paint job on my van that is peeling in multiple areas. I was told by general manager at a Honda dealership to file a claim on it. I called, filed a claim. They gave me a case number. Had me take it to local Honda dealer to have it inspected. The case manager from Honda called me after about 2 weeks and told me the cost to repaint my whole van is $2,319.42 and I would have to pay $1700 of it since Im out of warranty he said. I told him I wasnt out of warranty. When I called the man told me I was still under warranty. This case manager wanted to argue with me saying what I was told was wrong.I just read an article on Consumer Reports that Honda extended their paint warranty to 7 years and unlimited mileage. My van was bought new 2014 and its only 4 years old with 95k miles. I even have a body shop who fixed my tailgate under the care plan I bought additionally but they said when they went to fix the tailgate from the peeling paint it was so bad the paint came off in strips and that paint didnt adhere to the primer if any primer was even put on it. But the van is also peeling now in additional areas and Honda thinks I should have to pay $1700.I told the caseworker if Honda had did the paint job the right way the first time I wouldnt be having this problem, I said I would be willing to split the cost to paint the whole van but will not pay most of it. This was last week. The case manager said he would relay my response and I havent heard back from them. I have had a total of 5 minivans: 3 Hondas, 1 Nissan Quest and 1 Chrysler Town and Country and this 2014 Honda van is the only one I have ever had paint peeling off of it.

All the trunks leak. All the cup holders break or stay stuck open. Constant replacing spark plugs and wires. You have to rev them like mad (but the most of you know the VTEC deal). The worst is the radiator issue. Also, expensive brake jobs. Around 80K miles they have to be replaced. The cat heat shields on all. Yes, there are worse cars out there. But, Honda is way overrated. My first Honda, 89si, they told me the payments would be 254 a month. Being gifted mathematically, I told him he was off 25 bucks. Show me your work. He wouldnt. I then ran the numbers by him and lo and behold, he never counted in my down payment. Then the clutch went bad at 800 miles and they said it was a moving part. I told them I would burn the car in front of their place. My brother, an attorney, fixed the problem. He also found out the finance guy and a girl got arrested. This was Martins Honda in Manhattan. But I never had another issue with that car, outside of the spark plug, radiator, cat shield and cup thing. Wrecked it and bought a 95ex. Cat shield, leaky trunk, same issues as above but the clutch was fine. Replaced the radiator. Bought a 2002 ex, Same issues as above minus the clutch. I guess Id rather know the enemy than roll the dice. Still have the car but its parked in the garage for posterity.Best Honda we ever had was the 98 Odyssey. What a car. Best ratings in Minivan history. My oldest just sold it with a zillion miles on it. We brought into Brewster Honda for a brake job and I had put brand new windshield wipers on it the day before. Went to pick it up and the wipers were swapped out with worn out mismatched metal on glass wipers. I was livid. They told me it wasnt their responsibility if the car was parked outside and someone stole or damaged it. I said, if someone stole them, under the bright all night light, who on earth would take the time to replace them? Common sense. I told them I have another set of keys and Im driving off. See you in court and you know Ill win. They gave me new wipers. My other two Honda I inherited. One blew up after the dealer allegedly put in a new timing belt, the other is an Accord that is old but has the best AC Ive ever been around. Odd as the AC in my Civics were awful. It wont show me as a verified owner but its kind of obvious I am. PS: Go in with your own financing because Honda is the worst at You can get 3% interest if you do this undercoating or whatever and blah blah. Said no the first time and now my answer is, I want out of this room. Where do I sign. It seems like a prevailing theme with auto dealers.Havent bought a Honda since the 02. Someday, if I move south, Id consider an Accord. Seems like so much technology now, that the length of warranty of whatever brand is a starting point. All these techno cars and going to be crazy money to fix. I give the cars 4 stars and the dealers 0 stars. Considering how many truly lousy cars are on the road and that almost all dealers are lame. That should come out to 2 but you dont deal with them much. So Ill say 3 stars. Of course, everyone reads 1 star and 5 star reviews (looking for consistency in the good and or the bad), so this wont be read by too many.

I am Raj ** and I am working in a private company. I purchased a new Honda bike to sell our house which is in Delhi. I purchased a Honda Shine from Race Honda Patpargani, New Delhi. Date of sale was August 14,2011. But it is not running straight on the road, there is a problem bubbling in my bike. I checked the bike the next day, August 15, 2011.In the showroom, they loose the screw of the handle and told me that my bike was okay. But the problem is the same. When I went back there the next day, August 17, 2011, I asked why is it having the same problem. The showroom manager told me that I should go to their workshop. So I went to the workshop on August 24, 2011 and met the workshop manager, Mr Ashwani **. He told me that the rear rim found the band because of the speed breaker and digs, he said they cannot do anything for me and I have to pay around Rs 3,700 for it. I was shocked when I heard it. Then I decided to complain to the Honda Bike Company. The telephone numbers are 2290911, 2290912, 2290913. I do not feel good about them, compared to other companys customer care. But after all that, one Honda engineer Mr. Umesh came, I was hoping he could help me. But he was so busy with his cellphone and he didnt listen to a single word I said, he just told me that my bike is not under warranty so I need to pay for the repair. The parking charge was Rs50 extra, so I was so unhappy that I asked him why do I have to pay for parking and a rim. Then he told me that I have purchased a Honda bike, and that he will not give me a favor. After all that, I think I took the wrong decision to purchase a Honda Shine. My bike is still in the workshop. What can I do now. Can I fire myself?

The steering in the Honda Accord 2012 with alloy wheels is extremely hard and very, very uncomfortable to use. I made a complaint to the dealer, and they said the steering hardness is because of the alloy wheels. And I tried changing the alloy wheels to normal wheels, and to my surprise, the hardness is still the same. It does look like I will get a solution for the problem, unless the matter is escalated to the Honda Motors corporation. But accident report did not really tell what kind of accident. So I took the car to body shop and they told me the problem start at the door seal have a hole right at the rust is. I purchased a 2017 Honda Ridgeline truck. I live on a small ranch located 3 miles off the paved road. At 23,000 miles, my check engine light came on indicating a problem with my emissions system. I was told that the emissions canister under the truck was filled with dust and dirt (from my road) and that it would cost me $700 to repair this problem. I was told that this same problem would come back every 15K to 20K miles. The service manager told me that the truck was never designed for dirt road, but rather it was a city truck. I immediately drove to the Toyota dealer and traded in the truck for something more reliable. Buyer Beware, this little detail does not appear in the Honda literature.

I recently had the misfortune of purchasing a car (2018 Honda Fit) with Honda Sensing enabled. Within a week, I discovered that the sensors are so flaky as to render the car unsafe to drive - while I was unable to trigger them at all during the test drive (as they sometimes fail to detect anything), the opposite problem (seeing something that isnt there) is where the car becomes unsafe. 3 times in 60 miles of highway driving, the car applied maximum brakes without warning. The road in front of me was clear for several miles (and thankfully also clear behind me), but it always triggered as I was just about to finish passing another car. This compounded the risk of brake checking - had someone been behind me, they absolutely would have rear-ended me, as they would have had no place to go to dodge my vehicle, and absolutely no way to anticipate my car applying the brakes at maximum for several seconds. The dealership inspected the sensors and assured me they were performing to spec - this was not an issue with a faulty or malfunctioning sensor, *this is the way Honda Sensing is designed to work*. Further searching has turned up 3 class action lawsuits and hundreds of similar stories, with Honda dismissing all of them with the hilarious its a complicated system, you cant expect it to be perfect. Im sure Ford would have loved to have that slogan when they were dealing with the Pinto. Honda, when it comes to the *brakes on a car*, yes, you do need to be perfect, or you need to leave them alone. Its worth noting that Consumer Reports ranks Honda dead last in its evaluation of these emergency braking systems.Further compounding the situation, there is no way to permanently disable this system. I would strongly recommend that no one buy a car with this feature, think twice before riding in a newer Honda, and be aware of their potentially erratic performance if you see one on the road - frankly these cars are a danger to others as much as to themselves.

I am from Michigan, the vehicle was broken in the middle of nowhere with no phone signal. Thanks god the kids and wife were safe after all, but the very bad experience starts. Towed it to Palladino Honda dealer in Sudbury. Took them 1 week to say that we need a new engine but I can not repair it because it is an American vehicle. I called honda, honda care, my honda dealer. They did not help with anything. After 4 weeks I had to tow my car from them to Southfield Tamaroff honda to get the car repair. Eventually they repaired the car with replicating just the short block of the engine even the rod bearing was broken and metal shaving was all over the engine (car was not washed, no loaner offered, no alignment, bottom screws and push pins missing). Not understanding why they did not change complete engine. It cost me over $2200 to tow it back here and rent the car for my wife, not mentioned all the headache calling every day the honda dealer in Canada and honda customer service where nobody helped even the car was certified and had an extended warranty through honda care. All I wanted is to get refund for the expenses, but no one want to step out and do it (sorry and sorry we understand all these ** answers). Very bad experience, I will never buy a honda again even though I trusted the engineering before no anymore, stay away from honda….

I am driving a HONDA MOBILIO Car in INDIA which was bought by me on 2015. On 16/11/2015 in Chennai we had heavy rain and we drove this car to court as an emergency case. But all of a sudden the car engine has stopped by itself without any reasons. Then we towed our car to the dealer in Chennai for an inspection. The service engineer told us that the rain water has entered in Engine. We all surprised to hear that. Is it possible? And we had a doubt that these HONDA cars are not suitable for rainy seasons. IF the water gets into an engine it is purely manufacturing defect. But the dealers is looking for an insurance person to change some spares. No one has intended to file a complaint in HONDA. We are not ready to accept this car by changing some spares. It will affect the home setting of the car. My question is this. Will HONDA replace our entire car if it a manufacturing defect? We have noticed that about ten cars are in dealers garage. We have discussed with HONDA dealer for the replacement. But no response from them. We wish HONDA manufacturer should intervene with dealer to replace the entire car. In other words HONDA should declare our cars are not suitable for rainy conditions. Such a surprise from the dealers. They are not ready to escalate this issue to manufacturer. They are looking for an insurance people to cover the cost. We need response from HONDA manufacturer to solve this issue.

I bought my 02 Accord brand new, and now have 174K on the clock. Ive replaced the transmission 3 times, and finally found a shop here in San Francisco that built it correctly. They told me that Honda transmissions are unlike any other standard transmission design and they fail often. Theres too much pressure kept in the torque converter, and not enough return fluid for the unit to function correctly. There are several aftermarket fixes, of course, that you have to pay for. When I picked my car up at the shop, there were 3 Accords, 3 Odysseys and 2 MDXs. I called American Honda to ask for some sort of help seeing as this is my 3rd time around the pony show - nothing. Jason of Brooklyn, NY your Crosstour is not the only one with water leaking under the trunk flooding out the NAV control unit. The first time my 2012 flooded the car was at the dealer for a month. Honda also has a policy to rent you a loaner after so many hours it is in the shop. My NAV unit was emitting fumes inside the car with a horrible odour like the perfume used in portable outhouses. The 3rd time it happened I ended up spending the night in ER because my oxygen level was depleted. An owner from Massachusetts drove his 2012 to New Brunswick, a 9-hour drive. When he went out the next day the NAV Unit was melted, glove box and passenger floor carpeting were burnt. Honda refused to remedy the situation for him. Sudden Deceleration is also another serious issue with the V-6. TSB 13-031 is to fix it reactively. Problem is you could be a piece of charcoal from a rear-end collision because your brake lights do not come on to warn traffic behind you when your car slows down to 15 km per hour.My shop manager blamed us that we were misapplying the brake pedal. This is outright negligence and should be a recall issue. Then we have the VCM, Valve Cylinder Management system fouling the spark plugs when it goes from 6 - 4 - 3 cylinders to save fuel. It must also carbon the piston rings because the motors start burning oil. Mine had motor oil leaking unto the front bank exhaust manifold and my favoured Honda Shop Manager denied it was leaking. The Acura Dealer confirmed it was. At 17 thousand km there was a puddle of oil on the driveway when the Bailiff took the car. Honda refused to remedy the situation after 5 letters so I stopped payments. I asked for a low mileage Ridgeline truck because they do not have VCM on the V-6 and a lesser model without the NAV unit. In Ontario we have OMVIC whom I will file a complaint with.

I bought a brand new 2013 Honda CRV in Feb. 2013. I have spent a total of $11943.74 to date on my vehicle in just 7 years. That’s an average of $1706.25 annually. That’s got to be wayyyy above average. There are 255,000kms on the vehicle, mostly all highway. This doesn’t include cost for tires over that 7 years. Most of this has also been at the dealership; most people tend to agree that that’s my problem; stay away from the dealers, they say. I highly doubt I’ll buy another Honda.

I bought a 2013 Honda CRV. The battery would drain after 2-3 days of sitting idle. I got it checked repeatedly at the Honda service department when I bought the vehicle. They kept saying the parasitic draw was within specification, and to disconnect the battery cables if it was going to sit for more than 2 days. So each time I park the car on a Sunday and dont move again until Friday (I walk to work), I have to disconnect the cables, or use a solar charger (I park underground heated parking at my condo). They said it was fine and just to drive it more, for 1.5 hrs at a time every couple days to charge up the battery. Ridiculous! I own two other vehicles (different brands) and they can sit for a couple weeks and start no problem. Never had this before, and have since heard it is common on Hondas. I traded it in for a different vehicle and will never buy a Honda again. Honda Canada customer department refused to acknowledge the problem, as did the dealership.

I have a 2008 Honda Civic with 40,000 miles. All under-the-hood work for this vehicle has been performed at the dealer:1) Visor keeps un-glueing and coming apart. It has been replaced 3 times in less than four years, and Honda cant seem to come up with a replacement part that is durable.2) Full brake job was required. This is acceptable maintenance.3) Engine mount was missing. This is not the first time things under the hood are missing from this car that support the engine.4) Shocks and struts were supposedly leaking and had to be replaced. Not sure why this was not covered under warranty. Shocks and struts should last a very long time. I drive about 15 miles per day and drive very conservatively with speed no faster than 50 miles. What would cause struts to go bad in such short time, unless they were defective? Should the dealer have replaced these as part of the warranty?

I booked an appointment with Honda for April 12th, 2016 at 10 am in order to take off four winter tires, replace them with all season tires and replace the air filter. This is a very routine service and one that can be done in less than 45 minutes. This was performed in Thunder Bay, Ontario at the Gore Motors service center. After dropping off the vehicle there was no communication between them and myself and at 6 pm I decided to call. I called 15 times between 6 pm and 8 pm (close) with no answer and absolutely no update on my vehicle. I had to work a night shift as a health care professional at the local hospital and as a result, had to take a taxi to work. This is absolutely unacceptable and frankly, embarrassing. This service was not provided because I am a woman. If this was an adult male the service would have been completed in an hour with no issue. This is horrible for our society, especially for a multinational corporation prominent in the Thunder Bay community. There was no apology provided when I reached the service center at 8:30 am and I was still required to pay the service fee. Such an ordeal was completely unnecessary and it does not take 10 hours to perform an extremely basic service, so either the employees were incompetent or did not provide the sufficient services because I am a young woman. I hope the Customer Service Department sees this complaint and takes action because there is no place for this in our society and I was stranded without a vehicle, which is unjust and unethical. I hope this never happens again and right now have absolutely no desire to ever enter another Honda Service Center with such poor customer service professionals.

Honda is a joke. Bought Honda because of name. However got a lemon and they are refusing to address issue. Car RPMs surge rapidly while driving a constant speed and cars gas mileage is a complete scam and a lie. These companies rip people off and smile doing it. Its disgusting. Im going to picket outside the dealership and put a sign on my car that states they are unwilling to resolve issues. My car has 300 miles on it.

I have the remote app and it was working fine until February 2019. I thought it must be just my phone then noticed it is the actual app itself. So, I’ve purchased the remote app for 1 Year. The remote starter has disappeared and it was showing that my subscription has expired even though I’ve purchased it. So, I’ve called multiple times Honda Customer service and was told each time it will be solved. Then, a manager would get back to me and solve the issue. Nothing was done, after numeral calls made, I’ve realized this is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I cancelled the subscription. Unfortunately, this is not something I’m used to as I’ve always had great customer service from other car companies.

I live in Baraut, U.P. and I purchased a Honda Activa from Subhan Sai Honda Najafgarh in Nov. 2011 (no-**). After 10 days, there was a problem with that engine and I informed our nearest dealer in Baraut but there was no action taken by that dealer. After that, I informed Mayapuri Honda dealer (because my local address is near, by Mayapuri). But after 15 days, that dealer had taken action and he changed some parts of the engine and I paid 3000 Rs for that. Now, again, I am facing the same problem and my Activa is at my home (Baraut). The local dealer is saying, I will not do anything; you will have to take it to the same agency where you purchased from. This is very difficult for me because I am working in Gurgaon. How can I take it to Najafgarh from Baraut? My concern is that if there is any problem, then the local dealer should take the responsibility as he is a family of Honda.

I was a Honda owner for over 20 years and always liked Honda. Generally they are good cars, but if you do have an issue, the customer service is the absolute worst. I have proof of trying to call customer service many times with no return call. It’s impossible to get a number for someone “higher up”. So I tried emailing and again can prove that not one person would respond to my emails. My email got the automatic response that someone would be in touch within 48 business hours, but I never heard back from anyone from Honda, despite trying to call and email every 2 months. I finally gave up, bought a Mazda, and never looked back.

I have a 2009 Honda Civic Coupe which lost a chunk of color from roof, hood and rear within 6 years. When I call Honda to fix this they say that my car does not have any recall or is not stated in the color campaign. Heres the link for the campaign notice information - **. Such a disgusting service from Honda. Will never ever suggest people and friends to buy car from Honda again. I will be suing Honda as they did not send me any recall or campaign information regarding this paint issue.

I am not very happy with Honda as of today. A part of the front suspension fell out onto the highway apparently today. This vehicle was Honda certified but now I am finding out vehicle was apparently wrecked with is big no no. Just buyers beware that bullet proof Honda is no better than our old suppliers at Chevy and Ford. P.S. I am also being hung with $800 repair bill for something that is no fault of my operation of vehicle.

I booked and prepaid to have my windshield replaced by Honda in Concord. I paid on May 15th, prior to going to SFO to catch a flight. I was informed by the representative at Honda, that the glass people would need payment up front, and then book a date and time and the glass people will come to Honda and install. Well, here I am, Tuesday, May 28th, been here since prior to 8.30 a.m. My appointment was at nine. First of all, I was told they had no record of our payment for the windshield, which was paid on the 15th. I told them I have the record on my credit card. They said they still dont have record, they then located it after taking my car and finding the receipt in the center console.Anyway, here I am sitting at Honda, Concord, CA, 1.38 p.m., the service person came over approx. 1 hour ago, saying the car had GONE to the window place, and it will take almost all day. Okay, what happened to the window people coming here?!? Also, I have sat here for over 4 hours, unable to go to the bathroom, in case they happened to say it was ready. Also, we paid a large amount of money for a warranty, every time we come in, they cant find it on the computer, and they charge us!! Why dont they ask the financial department, as they have got it from there once before after a fuss from my husband. Now, my husband called, asking to speak to the General Manager of Honda Concord, and was told he wasnt allowed to speak to him. Was he asked to leave a message for the General Manager? No!!! He was told to leave a message for the Service Manager, who is apparently in a meeting and will call my husband back. Lets see how long that takes....

Today I called and talked to American Honda. Ill start off with saying the worst customer service ever. They dont even offer to help you. They just apologize 10,000 times and then want to go about their way. My car isnt covered under the warranty for paint. For reasons I dont even understand. I have an 09 Civic. The paint is starting to deteriorate. It looks like someone literally took a scrub brush to my car and is in the beginning stages of my paint chalking. This is a 7-year-old car. Ive seen cars that are 15 years old that have better paint jobs than mine and they have been untouched. The only okay thing about my Honda is that it hasnt broken down on the side of the road yet. American Honda is the biggest joke of a company and so unwilling to help people. The issue needs to be pushed. My car is Crystal Black Pearl. I know its one of the color codes accepted for the repaint but my VIN isnt under the warranty nor did I get a letter. (I am not the original owner of this car.) Im more than displeased. They look cheaper and cheaper every year.

I am the original owner of a 2013 Honda Accord EX-L. This car has never had service anywhere other than Honda dealership. Even oil changes. A few weeks ago I took it to have oil change and the recall on the battery sensor. When I got into car prior to service it would not start. The dealership told me that because the battery was involved it would do that. The problem progressively got worse until actually would not start. I took back to dealership and they told me it would cost $700.00 to replace the starter. The car has around 50 K miles on it. After I googled the issue with the recall and bad starter it seems that many other Honda owners are having this problem. I called Honda and the rep said that she has heard of this happening and was surprised but her supervisor stated that it was unrelated to the recall and will do nothing about it. I will never buy another Honda again!!! Very disappointed.

I am an old customer in Honda Egypt where Ive been riding Honda cars for eight years until now. First, I had Honda City 2004. The window sensors did not work, then the car keys did not work. They fixed these problems at the customer service center and said that this is a rare case and wont happen again but even then I sold the car. Later, I bought Civic 2007 when it was first launched in Egypt. The car mileage is 56000 km. From day one, I had the same problems with the keys that is not fixed until now. Then suddenly, the motor base needed to be changed where the car mileage was 32000 km and they said at the customer service that this was a manufacturing problem in this car. Later, I found that the steering wheel box needs to be changed because of a manufacturing problem as they said at Honda customer service center also. Besides all these problems, now I am facing more problems where there are many parts needed to be changed beneath the car, in the front suspension system and the scissors. I cant believe this anymore. I always get bad Honda cars! After all these problems, I see that there must be an action taken to end this disaster. These problems, I shouldnt face them while Im driving a Honda car. I bought a car with zero level of quality and I wont accept it. So please, Im looking forward to get a response from you as soon as possible and to know whats the next step you, as a company, will take because based on this next step, Im also going to move. I will contact you before I take any formal action here in Egypt because I expect whats said in your policy that you care about your customers satisfaction and I think you do care also about your Honda reputation here. Thanks.

I purchased a brand new Honda CRV from the United States in 2008. Right from the beginning, I thought it was a bit noisy underneath and the problem still persists. The dealer in the U.S is not prepared to help. The dealership in Ghana says I need to change the suspension and shocks and I dont believe that this is the case, especially when the road which I use to drive to work and back is tarred. Please advice on what to do since its still under warranty.

We love this car (Honda HRV 2016) but this is the first model of the HRV and it rattles considerably on the doors as well as the driver odometer panel. We have taken it in to be serviced twice but no one can seem to fix it. I also think it’s a little noisy and the windows seem loose when they are lower than a quarter of an inch down. But we are planning to lease a new one which we have test driven. I think those bugs have been worked out. It’s a perfect car for a small family like ours!

My CD player in my 2007 Honda Accord, which I use sparingly as I have 2 other vehicles and 2 Honda motorcycles, started giving an error message. Then, my CD player would not work properly. I can no longer eject the three CDs that are in the player. I learned that the 2003-2004 Accords had a service bulletin (04-027 dated 07/09/04) concerning the CD player which the same unit was used in the 2007 Accord. The Honda dealer here in Greenville, NC recommended that I take it to a local (tech) shop and have them do the service. The Honda dealership here in Greenville, NC would charge me $92.00 just to take the CD player out and ship it off to wherever they send it to for service. Then, I would have to pay to have it serviced and again to have it re-installed. I have learned (online) that there is a significant problem with this 6-CD Changer in 2007 Accords. Honda refuses to stand behind their product and wants to shift the cost to the consumer. I have been fairly satisfied with my 2007 Accord, which I bought from Coastal Carolina Honda of New Bern, NC (no longer in business). I thought that from here on out I would only purchase Honda vehicles for the rest of my life. Now, after also seeing how Honda failed to stand behind correcting a problem on my Honda Magna motorcycle, which also had a service bulletin regarding engine overheating because of lack of oil flow that they later re-engineered in newer models, drilling an additional hole in the engine head to allow for more oil flow, my mind has been made up concerning Honda and all of their products. I will no longer purchase any Honda product. I really believed that the company had more integrity than that. But, boy, was I ever wrong! I will soon sell my Honda Accord and motorcycles and kiss Honda goodbye. Life is too short to allow such aggravation in your life. Who needs a company that will not stand behind their own products? I am pretty conscientious about taking care of my things. The problems that have arisen from my Honda car and motorcycle, were due to no fault of my own. They were problems Honda created by their poor engineering and even when the company was made aware of such problems, they continued to pass the cost on to the consumer. Honda was not concerned about saving face. They were more concerned about getting as many US dollars as they could and not having to pay out anything to correct poorly engineered mistakes that they sold and passed on to the consumer. Buyer beware! Not even Honda is concerned about doing the right thing. I have purchased my last Honda product and I will make sure that I do everything I can to let others know to watch out if theyre even thinking about purchasing a Honda.

Since my car was new. At 300 miles, I discovered all the fluids were below the recommended marks. The car was never PDId and Honda acknowledged this. At 600 miles, the power steering and engine have been vibrating/making noise. Honda inspected my car several times and it was not until the car was over 2000 miles that they decided to replace the power steering pump. The vibration, they said it was all fixed and done. Honda was supposed to re-inspect the car in early February 2012. I am still waiting for a call from Chris, my case manager. The car is still vibrating at idle; the power steering is still making noises and also vibrates. Front suspension, which was also a problem at 300 miles (according to the dealer who tightened bolts) is still making noises and vibrates. This is a brand new car, and now, at little over 6000 miles, I am ready to get rid of it and take legal actions against American Honda. I have all the documentation from each dealer/mechanic visit.I also have all telephone conversations with Honda (I work in the customer service/hospitality industry and I cannot switch this off for Hondas case manager) and I am scheduled to have a specialized engineer inspect my car for faults to pursue legal actions. I feel unsafe driving my car to work everyday. I am very frustrated and disappointed with Honda and it makes me very sad that simple communications are not even happening between Honda and me.
