I have a stock Honda Ruckus. It is a 49cc work horse. From ripping down to the store for beer to loading up the deck with firewood, and driving it into my backyard. I dont think it can be beat! I weigh 175lb and can hit 40mph. It may not be the fastest on the road but it does get the respect of the road. I run premium gas and keep the oil change and any other maintenance up to date. The only con, it does not like to start in the colder months. I was offer a trade for a 125 Kawasaki, NOT A CHANCE!

Dealer says not willing to help due to miles and age?? Since when are Honda’s good for 138,000 miles? That not what I bought it for. I expected at least 200K. I thought they stood for reliability, durability, longevity. Clearly they don’t believe in their own product. We’re Done never another one. Nor can I in good conscience recommend them or their vehicle!!!

I called them several times. The pressure on the wand built up and my husband could not get it to release. They told us to take it to a repair shop. I told them it is a safety issue, if someone was around when that pressure released, it would hurt anyone close by and I did not want to load it and haul it for that reason. It was a commercial heavy duty washer, which we thought would last longer, it is about 3 yrs. old. It is used maybe twice a month, and just for personal use at home.Needless to say it is just sitting out our way so when it blows hopefully no one will get hurt. If they do, I told Dewalt they will be responsible as they have been told and chose to do nothing about it.

I have a three-month-old 2013 Honda Odyssey (bought in May 2013). Never had any problems prior (second Odyssey we have owned). But on this particular Saturday, I was about to leave in the vehicle, and I found the drivers window shattered, with about half the glass in the car and the other half on the ground by the door. It had been rolled up completely and the temp was around 90 that day... so nothing unusual. I had just walked by the car (on my driveway) and it was fine. Then a few moments later it was busted. No one around, no object in the car...nothing. So we took pictures then went to clean the glass up and covered the window until we could take it to the local dealer on Monday. After they inspected it, they announced they could not do anything as it did not appear to be a defect. I was told to contact Honda Corp which we did. After 24 hours to review, we got the same reply. The Warranty states clearly that broken, cracked or chipped glass is not covered unless manufacturing defect. However, upon further investigation, I found many others online who this happened to... and as recent as 2011, Honda recalled 2,800 vans for just this reason. On the NHTSA site, it states that the window may shatter into passenger cabin causing a risk of injury. So I am disappointed that I got such a cold shoulder from Honda dealer and Corp, as I WAS a satisfied customer. If I had accidentally broken this window...no sweat. I have $600 to replace it and I am not a complainer. But I am worried this problem has not been corrected and this could happen to someone that could put them in jeopardy. So I wanted to get my story out there. I hope I am the last one.

I love Honda. Both of our cars are made by Honda (a CR-V and a Civic). Theyre reliable, comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable to drive. We usually drive the CR-V when we go on long trips and its nice to be able to fit my wife and I, two dogs and all the luggage plus my acoustic guitar on most trips. My favorites are the Bluetooth connectivity for my music, the seat warmers and the back up camera. The Bluetooth connection is great for just hopping in the car and having the music pick up from where I was listening to it last (which Im doing constantly) and it sounds pretty great! The seat warmers are wonderful because Im always cold, especially when my wife is driving as she likes to turn the car into an icicle on wheels. And Im short so the backup cam can see areas I cant on my own or with the mirrors. I personally wouldnt enjoy driving something much bigger but as we travel a lot with two dogs and a bunch of stuff, a little bit more cargo space would be really helpful. We dont stack things in the back to the point where they are piling over the seats or we are unable to see out of the rear view window.

So at 13,900 miles she had to have the rear pads replaced at a cost of $212.00.Since she drives an average of 12,000 miles a year, shell need a brake replacement annually. No help from Honda for equipping the car with defective brakes.

I recently took my 2012 Fit into the Honda dealership as the air conditioning wasnt working and it was making a hissing noise. It turns out that there is corrosion between the compressor and the hose that connects to it. It will cost me over $1,000 to repair. How does a 4 year old car that is kept in a garage at home and in covered parking in the day get corrosion under the hood? One of the reasons I bought a new car at the time of purchase was so I would not have costly repairs anytime soon. Now I am looking at a $1,000 repair for something that in my opinion shouldnt happen in a car of this age.

Since my car was new. At 300 miles, I discovered all the fluids were below the recommended marks. The car was never PDId and Honda acknowledged this. At 600 miles, the power steering and engine have been vibrating/making noise. Honda inspected my car several times and it was not until the car was over 2000 miles that they decided to replace the power steering pump. The vibration, they said it was all fixed and done. Honda was supposed to re-inspect the car in early February 2012. I am still waiting for a call from Chris, my case manager. The car is still vibrating at idle; the power steering is still making noises and also vibrates. Front suspension, which was also a problem at 300 miles (according to the dealer who tightened bolts) is still making noises and vibrates. This is a brand new car, and now, at little over 6000 miles, I am ready to get rid of it and take legal actions against American Honda. I have all the documentation from each dealer/mechanic visit.I also have all telephone conversations with Honda (I work in the customer service/hospitality industry and I cannot switch this off for Hondas case manager) and I am scheduled to have a specialized engineer inspect my car for faults to pursue legal actions. I feel unsafe driving my car to work everyday. I am very frustrated and disappointed with Honda and it makes me very sad that simple communications are not even happening between Honda and me.

I have to fix it at the body shop with my own cost. The Honda technician blame on the accident reported that may cause the paint scraped off. But accident report did not really tell what kind of accident. So I took the car to body shop and they told me the problem start at the door seal have a hole right at the rust is. It cost me only $150 to fix the problems. Honda technician smart enough get my tiny problem fix instead denied it. You guys losing one customer and this message will passing on to other.

We bought a 2013 Honda Accord EX in Sept. 2013. We have been driving Honda vehicles since the early 1990s, and are fierce defenders of Honda quality. At least we had been. Our 4 cylinder Accord gets very good gas mileage: 39 mpg. average. It is extremely quiet, and the heavy doors remind me of the mercedes vehicles we used to own prior to the hondas. However, at 17,000 mi. we took the car to our local tire store to put on snow tires for the winter, and the guy noticed an oil leak. He didnt diagnose it correctly, but that didnt matter as it was under warranty, which led us to have it checked at the dealership in Albuquerque. They diagnosed a bad seal btw, the engine and transmission. They had to pull the engine to get to it and repair it. It was fixed, under warranty and at no expense, but I worry now about other weaknesses that may show their ugly head as the car gets older and goes off warranty. This one seal would have cost a thousand dollars to replace had we had to pay for it since the engine had to be pulled to access it. I have an 04 Element that now has 97,000 mi., and have not had a single problem or complaint with it. Maybe the older ones were better made, as I hear Honda is having numerous quality issues with newer cars. I think well try a different manufacturer next time, as no new car should need engine / transmission seals replaced so soon.

I am the original owner of a 2013 Honda Accord EX-L. This car has never had service anywhere other than Honda dealership. Even oil changes. A few weeks ago I took it to have oil change and the recall on the battery sensor. When I got into car prior to service it would not start. The dealership told me that because the battery was involved it would do that. The problem progressively got worse until actually would not start. I took back to dealership and they told me it would cost $700.00 to replace the starter. The car has around 50 K miles on it. After I googled the issue with the recall and bad starter it seems that many other Honda owners are having this problem. I called Honda and the rep said that she has heard of this happening and was surprised but her supervisor stated that it was unrelated to the recall and will do nothing about it. I will never buy another Honda again!!! Very disappointed.

So my car note had been behind for month due to the fact that my husband had lost his job, and I have been the bread winner. My carnote of my 2011 Fit had fallen behind, but I always sent them SOMETHING. Fast forward I come off my day shift at work and notice that my car was gone:(. I frantically called Honda like hey did you guys repo the car? And the Rep. said, Well the car is in repo status, but it does not show in our system as being picked up or not. She made a few phone calls and said that she would not know until one of the many companies they work with send in the proper documents stating that the car was picked up. Long story short Honda required me to pay a repo fee to the city (Torrance, Ca which was 12$ to the city Court House) pay the repo fee, and bring my past due balance current. The only thing that sucks is the process of running out of time during the day and having to wait a whole nother day which equals another day of storage fees. My car was picked up on a Thursday. My fees were paid that Friday afternoon, but because I paid a little after 4 pm the lot was closed :( and I had to wait until Monday to get my car. I must say my situation was HORRIBLE, but it wasnt because of Honda. And Out of all the reps I spoke to they were not all that rude to me (They were kinda like demanding and one person told me more information than they were suppose to but hey he was being nice). So all and all once my account was brought up to date Honda faxed over the release paper. I was able to go to the lot and get my car. (I did have to pay a storage fee of 362.50 CASH???) But I cant just say Honda made the process harder than what it was. If I have anything to complain about its the fact that these lots close SO EARLY and are not open on weekends and cont. to charge you :(. But I just got my car released to me today. After being gone from Thursday December 15 till Monday December 19...

I have owned Hondas for about 20 years. Their build quality is not the quality of the 1980s/early 1990s. In the mid 90s, Honda went to OEM suppliers. That was the end of the high quality Hondas. If you are having issues or making a decision on buying, here are the problems that you will fix over and over: Starting issues. This is the biggest problem. These cars have a cold start issue. There is a temp sensor and main relay that just break over and over. No lights will go on the dash and no codes will come up to warn you they are bad. You have to have the spark plugs pulled to see if they are getting black residue on them. This can happen on new plugs. Why? The temp sensor adds fuel when it is cold and cuts back on fuel when hot. It works in reverse when it starts to fail (no way to detect). This will coat your engine and emission system with fuel crud that hasnt burnt. There is no way Honda doesnt know about the problem. You can search models from the 1990s to present day that have this issue. You can keep on top of it but the problem keeps returning.Paint. It will fail. It kills resale value. This has been going on since the 1990s. Detail shops will not wax the cars because the paint is so thin that a buffer will take it right off. Even hand waxing marks the paint. Headlights will cloud over. Over and over again. Door handles break. That is an expensive repair. Headliner will fall down. There is no way to re-attach it. They develop a leak in the cowl. This will rot out your floors. Oxygen sensor fails over and over. Radiator is plastic and glued together. It will fail in the 50 thousand range after the warranty is over. Then about every 50 thousand miles after that. There are several Honda Civics in the town I live in with the same make and paint color. All have the same problems with paint, headlights and door handles. The paint fails in the same spots. No recall from Honda. If you thinking of buying a used Honda for your childs first car, avoid them. These are not the cars for beginners. They will end up being towed. Contact Honda America? They do not respond. They do not care. They will care the next time I purchase a new car as it will not be a Honda. I was loyal, they think nothing of loyalty. I have people that own Hondas coming up to me to tell the problems they have had with their cars. Most of the people have pretty new Hondas. This makes me think that the build quality has gotten even worse in the last couple of years. Honda is no longer worth the extra money they charge.

I have a 2004 Honda Accord that I bought brand-new. I have always had all routine maintenance completed at a Honda dealership. I had the timing belt replaced ($1,000) within the 7-year time period, hoping to avoid any serious damage if it ever broke. Right after that, I had to replace the power steering pump ($500), because it went bad at 70,000 miles. Now at 83,000 miles, my transmission has gone out; and I am having to spend $4,000 to have that replaced. I have always taken very good care of this car. I bought it, because of Hondas reputation and hoped it would last me a long time before any major repairs were needed. I have read about numerous complaints and recalls for the transmission, so this leads me to believe Honda isnt what I once thought it was. I will not buy another one, even though I love my car. Its not worth what I have had to spend.

I purchased a 2022 Honda HRV from Honda dealership, Carbone Honda, who sold to LED. My car stalled a couple times and salesperson said it was the energy saving feature, not really stalling. I had aftermarket car starter installed. Then car became difficult to start and stopped while driving on highway. They blamed the car starter and charged me to remove it and restore to factory. On my way home it shut off again. They then determined the washer holding the main ground wire was not staying locked and replaced it. Told me it wasn’t the car starter. I’m out $550 for car starter and removal of it. I’m afraid to put it back in because any issue will be blamed on it. I’m being bullied into buying their product. They refuse to return my money and I drove the car unsafely for a couple of months. I was basically called a liar by the Service Manager 12/17/21. Offered to discount factory car starter to $650 + tax and $100 loyalty card if I met the Honda Rep and signed a release. Honda Corp has an open case but always tell me that all they can do is talk to dealership. Whenever you call dealership no one answers, was told they had no receptionist in Service so they answer when they are not busy. I will never buy from Honda again!!

I have a new 2016 Civic and it is a great car. It is my fourth Civic, but there are a couple of things that I do not like about it. It does not have a CD player in it. I do not like any of the stations on the radio and I do not like the music of today. I loved listening to my music from the 50s, 60s and some of the 70s, but now I cannot do that because you opted not to put CD players in your new cars. I am not a person that has a Ipod, so that is not an option to listen to. I was very disappointed when I found out about this feature. The trunk door lock on the drivers door is an annoyance. I cannot reach the door handle to close the door when I get in so I have to grab on to the pocket where the button for the trunk button is and 9 out of 10 times I hit it and have to get out of the car to close the trunk. Why didnt you leave it where it was on the 2013 Civics??? Whoever makes these changes should think of the Seniors that purchase these vehicles and leave some things alone. Other than those two features that I just explained, the car is great and I do love it. Thank you for listening.

My issue is my 2013 Honda CRV I financed 3years ago. Vehicle has been stalling and throwing all kinds of codes out there. Almost put 2000 into it just getting it towed. Car stalled in middle of busy street, I almost got hit. I took it to my local PEP Boys and they did 500 worth of work to it, stopped the next day. I took it back to pep boys and they kept it for 3days. And said they didnt have technology to fix what was wrong with it. I got it towed to my dealership where I financed and the symptoms got worse. More codes, misfires, spluttering, stalling, shaking. Hill-Kelly Dodge my dealer said to have it towed to my manufacturer which is Honda. My vehicle has been there for days, the advisor called day2 and said all it needed was gas. I said, Really I keep gas in my car. She also said it was driving good. I refused to pick up. I told her this has been going on for years. She kept it and said they would just run it and see if anything happens. Eventually it did. It started throwing codes again and misfiring. So she said they would work on it and hopefully see what they could find. I called honda corporation and email twice. Representatives were horrible. Its was, What do you want us to do about this problem. I said, Your company made the car. This is a big safety issue. The representative just started talking about random stuff. I was very dissatisfied with the customer service there. I really wanna get a case started against this company. I will never buy another honda vehicle about this.

I contacted the main number to Honda regarding my complaint (the need to new brake pads after only driving the car for 22,000). Two reps called me and the dealer contacted me and everyone was very helpful in rectifying this situation. They looked over my warranty and are now in the process of working out a refund for me. I was upset and very angry initially as I hold Honda in such a high-esteem. And after their help and what seemed to be genuine assistance, my dissatisfaction has abated! I will now reconsider and may purchase another (4th) Honda, as Customer Service was truly unbeatable.

My mom owns a Honda and her car recently had a problem with the transmission (I think). She went to the Honda dealership in Battle Creek, Michigan to get a check up on her car and they declined all services. It seems like a blacklist system, but only for my mom. In the previous maintenance, they put a small dent on the car and declined. My mom isnt American and her English is hard to understand but she has a very good credit score. So what kind of service is that? I am disappointed on how Honda dealership can decline services for Honda owners who cant get their Honda repaired from Honda.

I have a Honda Accord that my husband bought for me. The car is 2 years old now and I just had taken it in for service on my brakes. I mentioned that I hate this car because of the road noise. They said its probably your tires and $1200.00 later I have new tires and new brakes but my car is quiet now. They said I should have brought it back after I first got my car. Well, in my opinion it should have been right to begin with. I had NEVER owned a Honda before! I ran into 2 other people that had the same problem with their Hondas. I have no idea what type of tires the factory puts on their cars - but Honda should start with the best - if they want repeat customers.

I bought a second hand car from Honda in May last year (2017). This would be my first ever time buying a car. Everything went fine within the sales and I loved this car, which was a Holden Cruze 2014. I didnt have enough money saved and I did not have my apprenticeship long to afford it so I opted for the finance and was told everything about finance through my sales rep. The finance seemed good my circumstance and I went through with it. The finance women I spoke to was Ellie **. I stated my terms to her about the whole thing. She told me it would be a 5 year contract with 1 year fixed. After the 1 year fixed was up I could pay it all out with no interest or added fees. It seemed perfect for me and she went through it a couple of times to me. I felt it was perfect and she was in my corner for the finance.Something seemed fishy after I noticed I had no car user manual in the car. I called them up a lot and even visited. I never got any word back on the whereabouts of my car manual. Not until Monday (25th March, 2018). I called up again and spoke to a Michael. He followed everything up and ended up ordering me a new book. I then called up my finance, Skyline Car Finance about how much was owing and when my 1 year fixed would end. Thats where it went bad because they told me it was a 5 year fixed contract and that I would need to follow up with my dealership. I contacted Ellie who told me there was no such thing as a 1 year and that I would save on interest and theres an early exit fee. I went in today on a Saturday (31st March, 2018). I collected my book and talked to Ellie. She told me that it was a 5 year fixed from the start and that I misinterpreted it and that I should read my contract. I feel as if I have been sucked into a contract I would never have signed if I knew this. She also told me that heaps of people come in with the same reason I have. So the real question is, how many people is ripping off?

I went into Honda on Rt. 22 in Hillside, NJ for a diagnosis test & oil change. The service advisor tells me its just my battery. Ok so I wait for them to change the battery. Then he comes out 20 min later and says Can you come with me? I have to show you something. The mechanic shows my cables are ate up from the battery. He cannot change battery without changing cables which was approximately 600 and some change which I didnt have. My mechanic states my barrings are also leaking which was approximately 700 and some change. Now I had my car serviced back in April, they didnt see all the acid and corrosion on my battery. YES THEY DID, it was too much not to and to eat my cables from April to Oct the way it did, it was a lot of acid. Ok so I tell them look, fix it where I can drive it and Ill pay for the oil change and diagnosis test which was $85. While Im waiting they come tell me they dont have the parts. Ok give me a loaner. They dont have loaners, they have a shuttle - but fine, Im going to East Orange, OH. We dont go to East Orange, we go to Newark, Irvington, Union, Hillside and Elizabeth. Ok East Orange is a hop, skip, and jump away from all of them - WTF. Now Im mad, frustrated, hungry. I get a call with bad news of a relative passing - the day is just going downhill. Then a man approaches me about a car. I go in his office, we talk. He tells me I can take a new car & bring it back Saturday. Well that sounded great at the time so I sign temporary insurance papers to cover the new car, a privacy paper in which they said it was mandatory, and left with the car. I leave out the state on an emergency, my brother brings the car back to Rt. 22 Honda in Hillside and guess what? They SOLD MY CAR, told me I would have to give the $150 to get it back. Sorry Rt. 22 Honda - you better be very very careful of them.

I have a 2011 CRV with 24,000 miles in it. (I drive 80 miles a day). In November 2011, I had a software update from a recall, that adjusted the timing. I was getting 32 mpg consistently on the highway, and 28 when I did city driving. After the update, I cant get anything more than 26, city or highway. Honda said to have the dealer check it. They did, and everything was okay, as far as they were concerned. Then Honda said to have the dealer run a mileage check. The dealer said there is no such thing, other than looking at the mpg indicator. Honda says if it is within the normal range, then there is nothing they can do. No one can give me a number for normal range. I keep getting the runaround from Honda. I have the extended warranty as well. This will cost me over $900 a year in added fuel cost at the current prices.

I have 2004 Honda Accord and the clear coat is starting to peel and it looks awful. It looks like it has a disease. I went to local dealership in Kamloops, BC and they said it was too far outside the warranty period and they wont do anything and referred me to Honda Canada. I called them and they called the dealer and then told me the exact same thing. Honda does not stand behind their product. I was a fan of Honda but will reconsider buying another one. Toyota is being held responsible for their paint problems so why not Honda. Very dissatisfied. Honda Customer relations also got very snotty with me which I didnt appreciate. I made sure I was calm and was not aggressive or assertive and she was still a bag when I was asking why Honda would not stand behind their product. Doesnt pay to be nice! May be a $5,000 paint job to even look presentable if we want to sell.

Love all of the extra features! Its the nicest vehicle Ive ever owned. I would buy another one in a heartbeat if I could afford it. Please give me money so I can purchase a new one. I like the CD player, sunglasses holder, storage options, interior color, exterior color, adjustable side mirrors, adjustable rear view mirror, fold down back seats, Leather interior, heated seats, sunroof, navigation, backup cameras, Bluetooth stereo, and alloy wheels. However, I dont like the fact that there is no DVD player option. I wish it was easier to sync phones through the Bluetooth technology and that there was climate control in the back seat. I also wish the car washed itself. DO NOT BUY A 2018 HONDA ACCORD - DEFECT ON BLACK PAINT ON HOOD & ROOF.
DO NOT BUY A 2018 HONDA ACCORD - DEFECT ON BLACK PAINT ON HOOD & ROOF. I went to a Honda dealership in Nashville to buy a new 2018 black Accord on September 23, 2018. The paint was ruined on both the cars they tried to sell. They offered to fix it by wet sanding it. Who wants to buy a new car that has been wet sanded? I called 2 other dealerships, and the paint was the same way. One of the dealerships transferred me in another car, and the paint is also ruined on it. The auto detailer at the dealership said all the black Accords he has seen look that way. Stain in the clear coat due to tree sap, or bugs. It looks like acid rain spots. The clear coat must be incredibly weak. If the paint already looks like this, imagine 2 years from today. Honda this is fraud to sell a brand new car that paint is destroyed. A new car should not be a damaged car.

I have a Honda Accord year 2014 version. I bought it during December 2014. All this while I trust Honda quality. I am its fan. However after 1 year of using the Honda Accord, an abnormal irritating noise coming out from the back, around the door, speaker and car boot area. I had send the car to authorize service center for 3 times, however still not able to solve. The irritating noise is getting louder... Everyday early morning while driving the car, the noise spoil my mood. It is testing my patience. With this issue, I am not happy and disappointed with Honda quality. It is in fact worst than a cheap car for the fitness (noise) condition. I am still looking forward for Honda to solve the irritating noise soonest possible. Besides the irritating noise, recently I encounter the wind screen having a few crack mark at the edge. Input from the tinting service provider it is due to the paint peel off. Really unbelievable that Honda can produce this type of quality level. The price of the car paid is really not meeting my expectation on its quality. Just wonder if Honda looks into the user experience and expectation when developing its products.

This is my 3rd Honda minivan and will be my last, since Honda doesnt want to stand behind their paint job on my van that is peeling in multiple areas. I was told by general manager at a Honda dealership to file a claim on it. I called, filed a claim. They gave me a case number. Had me take it to local Honda dealer to have it inspected. The case manager from Honda called me after about 2 weeks and told me the cost to repaint my whole van is $2,319.42 and I would have to pay $1700 of it since Im out of warranty he said. I told him I wasnt out of warranty. When I called the man told me I was still under warranty. This case manager wanted to argue with me saying what I was told was wrong.I just read an article on Consumer Reports that Honda extended their paint warranty to 7 years and unlimited mileage. My van was bought new 2014 and its only 4 years old with 95k miles. I even have a body shop who fixed my tailgate under the care plan I bought additionally but they said when they went to fix the tailgate from the peeling paint it was so bad the paint came off in strips and that paint didnt adhere to the primer if any primer was even put on it. But the van is also peeling now in additional areas and Honda thinks I should have to pay $1700.I told the caseworker if Honda had did the paint job the right way the first time I wouldnt be having this problem, I said I would be willing to split the cost to paint the whole van but will not pay most of it. This was last week. The case manager said he would relay my response and I havent heard back from them. I have had a total of 5 minivans: 3 Hondas, 1 Nissan Quest and 1 Chrysler Town and Country and this 2014 Honda van is the only one I have ever had paint peeling off of it.

There are vehicles that are more comfortable but if they are sitting in a repair shop draining your bank account and are unreliable as transportation offsets the difference in comfort. Recently, I bought (April 2011) a 1997 Honda Passport with a blown head for next to nothing. I purchased the vehicle for my two kids to get back and forth from college. I then dumped a couple grand into fixing it. Then in June, I noticed big chunks of rusted steel on my driveway under where the Passport was parked. I crawled underneath it, only to find that the chassis was so rusted out in places that I could place my whole fist into the holes (especially right under the passenger seat/door). I was also able to grab handfuls of rusted and corroded steel from inside the cavity along the chassis.I immediately called the Honda Recall Hotline, and they indicated to me that there was no recall for the 1997 Chassis, but there was a recall starting in 1998 on the frame. “Not to worry”, they said. I was to take it to the dealer to have them access the situation and determine next steps. So, I parked the vehicle in the driveway, and prohibited any one from driving it. I have been so busy with work, but I finally got around to calling the dealer in my area (Roush). They instructed me to set an appointment for them to do a diagnostic check. Oh, and that they will have to charge me for the diagnostic analysis. I told them that it was a bunch of bunk having it; I did not want to pay them any fees. All one has to do is get on their knees; look under the car, and come to the diagnosis that I came to that there is obviously a defect for the steel to be so rusted, that you could put your fist into several areas. Obviously, you do not need to be a rocket surgeon to figure it out, nor do you need to place it on a rack to make an official diagnosis, let alone charge me for it. I told them that I would send them 1000 FREE diagnostic pictures that they could use for their analysis.Since that did not get me anywhere, I asked for Hondas number because I wanted to chat with a regional/district manager in order to obtain approval for the dealer to waive the diagnostic fee. I got the runaround from Heather in recalls. She said that I needed to go back to the dealer; since my vehicle had no recall, she could not obtain approval for a free diagnostic check. She also would not provide me with the district managers name for Honda. She said to me that I needed to get that information from the dealer.I then proceeded to voice my concern on this, and told her that the vehicle isnt safe to be driving even to the dealer. She offered absolutely no concern, nor any valuable customer service. Based on this Honda experience and previous experience with a GMC vehicle, I can tell you GMCs customer service department blows Hondas away. So, now I have to call Roush back in order to obtain the Honda district managers name and number. It makes absolutely no sense and is totally a runaround. I bought the Passport because it was a Honda, only to find out that it is an ISUZU.Honda evidently paid ISUZU to manufacture the Passports which was Hondas entrance into the SUV market. Now I have what I thought was a Honda, which is actually an ISUZU. No wonder why the frame is crap. If you happen to own a Honda Passport manufactured in the years 1995 (first year), 1996 and 1997, check your chassis. If anyone else has this problem, please let me know if you have been able to rectify it with Honda.

I leased a 21 passport with my husband last month from Honda. The sales team was great, price was good and team was friendly -unfortunately this car has some issues! I don’t blame the dealer. I blame the maker (Honda). Since we bought the car I have been driving it back and forth to work and with my son. After a car wash one day I had noticed rust behind the wheels. I told my husband about it he said it wasn’t like this when we bought it. About week later I started to notice a weird feeling when driving so I gave my husband the car to drive. After him driving it he feels it has some transmission issues. Between that and the rust he was super pissed. He contacted Honda hq and brought it for service. The manager was super helpful and nice my husband said but unfortunately after the visit the rep that came from hq told us the car is normal! I’m sorry rusty/not proper functioning transmission is not normal. I am very unhappy that I do not feel safe to drive this car and now every month I have to pay for something I can’t even get behind the wheel. My husbands friend has the 20 passport. No issues. No rust. No transmission problems. Why is this the issue with the 2021? Issues after a little over a month of ownership not a good look. Awful job Honda!!

Ive been on Hondas since the late 60s, dirt, trail & blacktop versions. Ive had other brands (primarily cruisers), but have been disappointed and have returned home to Honda. After playing in the dirt during my youth I graduated finally to the Wings. Got my first Wing in 1984 right out of the crate. Put over 250K on her and traded her in on a shiny new SEI in 1986. Kept the SEI in pristine condition until a moving company broke her during a military move & purchased a 95 anniversary edition, which I still have today. Ive had hog riders tell me she isnt a real bike and Ive told them that they are correct - shes a Cadillac convertible on 2 wheels. Unlike an ultra glide I can be on her with my wife, all day long and at the end of a long day of 400+ miles I can still walk. Three cruisers, all with over 200K miles doing nothing more than typical scheduled maintenance or replacing small parts e.g., tires, brake pads etc. Ive known several people that have well over a half-million miles on Wings and are still going strong - figure out how many V-twins youd go through in that many miles. Ive been thinking of trading in the 95 for another new bike, but really do Not like the most recent version of the Wing. Ive been on the BMW cruiser and Ive got to admit, it really has me thinking of changing. Thirty-five years of loyalty with Wings is hard to shake, but they (Honda) seem intent on taking one of their best lines (Goldwing) and making it into another sports bike. Buy a good used one if you can find one, youll be very happy you did.

Please make sure you like the customers service from the Corporate Office. Let me give you the real tea on Honda Corporate. This place dont give a hoot nanny about customer service nor your car. I want everyone know that Ive had some great cars and however when I purchased my Acura 2014 RLX used still under Honda warranty at 47,000 and 27,000 miles. Nothing but trouble, and bigger trouble. Ive been working with the NCDS after I called the Honda Corp 3 times and couldnt get anywhere. I mean I was told I was assign a case manager by the name of Bryan and this guy call me 1 time when I called him 10 times. I also ask to speak with a manager and never got a call from, so I ask who was the district manager and I was told that was Michael and he would call me on a Monday from my call to them on Thursday and I never received his call. What a joke and at this point I give Honda customers service a Big F and the rating of the car a D-... I think they just show up to get a check and not to help people. So NCDS is helping me thank GOD only to now get a letter from Honda Corp stating that the noise is a normal sound from the car and after a Massive email went out that states they are aware that the RLX has a compressor issue that brings loud noises and its not normal. And today I received a letter from Leticia saying thats its a normal sound. What a great lie. And put the blame on Automax of ATLANTA where I purchased the car. Whatever its still under warranty. Please do your research and leave Honda alone. Some of the Honda cars may look great and some may get you to point A to point B however it a poor choice of a car... Real talk... When I purchase my car I had to go out of NC to find the RLX with the Advance package and the Kell Sound system and the nearest one what I was looking for was in Georgia outside of Atlanta. And it was called Automax of Atlanta...I purchased the car and had it delivered to my home in Charlotte and was so happy. Thats until 1 week after having the car it wouldnt start for several days. I TOOK IT TO THE ONLY ACURA DEALERSHIP WE HAVE AND THATS HENDRICK ACURA. They replace the battery under warranty and got it back and had it for 3 days and still wouldnt start some days. Took it back, they put a new starter in it under warranty and explained to them I still had some concerns and it was My AC AND HEAT noise along with loud noises from the rear end of the car. I took my car into service at least 6 times in 2 months. And the 1st time they didnt hear anything and the 3rd time they heard the noise in the ac compressor and replace the ac coolant line and told me that coolant was leaking and flowing out... Still dont hear the rear end car noise though.Got the car back and the noise was still there but not as loud. Took the car back and finally was told they can not fix it and Honda is working on it. I even have it on paper saying theres no fix and I received this letter. I hope that NCDS makes them repurchase all RLX and all Honda with compressor issue or whoever can authorize it. This just shows you arent nothing to these Honda makers.

Windshield was cracked and has chips in it. It was not repaired, dealer said it was repaired. The chips are still there and the headlight on right side out of alignment. Dealer said it was fixed, it wasnt. I had a different tech at the dealer look at the light, and he fixed it with in 5 min. The main issue is the air temperature between the dash vent and floor is greatly different. The dealer said it is normal. When I picked up my car, I was told I could compare my car to another which I did. The air temp in the second car was I feel it should be the dash air temp and the floor temp was the same temp. The tech also agreed there was an issue. My issue that the dealer is saying things got fixed but really they didnt. What’s up with Checked Flag Virginia Beach, VA.? I will be talking to Checked Flag on Monday, 01 30 2012 about this issues.

I have a 2017 Honda CRV Touring. Bought in Nov. of 2017. Has 11, 500 miles on it. Counting the original battery it is now on its 3rd one. As of July 5, 2019 I have had the 6th dead battery. Ive had every excuse under the sun for these. First one was that we had to keep the key fobs for electronic start more than 20 feet from the vehicle when not in use. Electrical components in them will drain the battery. Most recent excuse was we dont drive vehicle enough. Was told to take car out on the highway at least once a week, drive 10 miles at 50 MPH and then return 10 miles. This is necessary to keep the battery charged. Rarely does vehicle ever sit 1 day without being driven and driven every week multiple times over 20 miles at 50 MPH. Other people have had same complaints with identical vehicle. I am in process of filing claim under Pa. Lemon Law. My 2nd and last Honda.

I tried to visit the official agent, who refused to accept it since he is unable to fix electrical problems in hybrid cars. I was forced to go to local people who replaced the IMA battery twice till now and Im still having the problem. I really like Honda cars, but I am fully disappointed. Can I find a solution?

2011 Honda Pilot - I was surprised to learn that my accelerator is controlled by a computer. Recently, the TP sensor was not working properly and the car had a mind of its own. I had no control over the car. The car took off ... power steering failed and brakes locked up. I was, thankfully, in my driveway. I cant believe this is not a warranty issue. Honda should replace my sensor for free. They just reset the sensor and charged me $126. I am trying to sell the car. I fear this will happen again soon. Please consider this situation.

Also has some automatic feature which are great. The chairs are nice and enough space for legs. However, there can be some improvements by adding more power to the car. For the price the car is good but still I will like the speed to be able to increase faster when I press the pedal. Other than that, I like everything about it and I want to buy another one.

I am writing to you to inform that I am very disappointed with customer service care line from HONDA from the way they handle case. The story is like this: My nephew call customer service line at 1800-18-1177 on 13th November 2018 after his car ** accidentally hit broken hole at Bangi while heavy raining. He call at 3.00pm plus and towing truck only arrived at 7pm plus. After they checked the car (in front 2 tyre burst and found the car cannot start) they say will send the car to the nearer HONDA which at Semenyih. They ask whether can they send to SAG ULTIMATE centre which my nephew do not know actually. The place is only for (Body and Paint centre) after accident. Here what I want to question how come Honda towing track staff do not know where to send the car base on the car situation and case. My nephew is not accident which I think they should straight send the car to the nearer HONDA service centre. How come they send the car to the body & paint centre???14th November 2018. I went to the SAG ultimate and they mention they did not provide checking or repair for engine issue. Then I call back your customer service line and talk to Ms. ** to collect back the car and send to the HONDA service centre but she mention I need to pay for it which is the procedure is like that. Im like… What? I have to pay for your mistake? And further Im not asking to bring to other workshop. Im asking to collect and send to HONDA service centre. I really hope the management of HONDA look into this issue. This will make your customer feel upset and HONDA reputation will affected. Your customer service never act professional in this difficult situation. Its not about the money that we need to pay extra for the towing issue but just the matter of professionalism and customer happinessLastly I would like to give compliment and professional sales services to SAG ultimate branch at Semenyih to the Manager (Steve **) which provide me efficient and fast respond on settling this issue. He take the responsibility to send my nephew car to the Semenyih HONDA service centre without any charges. Ive enjoyed my 2003 Honda Odyssey as a family car and also to haul garden materials. The seats are comfy and the overall driving experience is good. My main complaint is twofold. First, it gets only about 16 miles to the gallon around town/18 on the freeway. This is pretty poor by any standards. And second, the clear coat on the dark green paint job has failed; this began within 8 years of purchase. Large portions of the horizontal surfaces have peeled off, leaving a white residue, while the vertical surfaces still look very nice. I see other Odysseys around town of the same vintage and they all have the same problem. And a quick look on the web shows that this is a massive problem. I am looking forward to buying a new car soon but will not be buying a Honda due to the paint problem. Its a shame really as the car has performed well.

The case couldnt even hold a chance because the insensitive case worker told me I had no chance with a 10-year old car and the warranty was expired 3 years ago. I never received the warranty letter. I bought my Civic Sedan LX 2012 on February 4, 2012 from the Honda dealer at Manhasset. I only have a little over 5,000 miles on it because I mostly only use it to commute to work during the weekdays. One of the reasons I bought a Honda car instead of any other was because of its high standard and reputation for making great motor vehicles that don’t break down easily. This past week, my car, for the second time within a year, had to go back to the shop for maintenance and repairs due to water leaking into the gas tank. The first time this happened was back on September 2, 2012.I had the car taken to Hillside Honda to be inspected. When they looked into it, they found that water had gotten into the gas tank. Ive been going to the same gas station near my house ever since I bought this car, and nothing like this ever happened before either to me or anyone who goes there. My family, friends and co-workers all blamed Honda for a manufacture defect. But even though I felt bad about this case, I didnt blame Honda at all and in fact, finished off paying off for the car this past January 8th - 11 months after I bought the car and much earlier than the initial 3 year plan I signed up for. Then now, only a few months later, the same thing happened.I can only deduce that either I believe there was a mechanical deficiency, to begin with, in the car when I originally bought it, or when I had the car fixed and the people at Hillside Honda said that they put all new parts; they put the same ones back because the exact same thing happened. It’s a brand new model and I demand something be done about this because now I have a phobia about driving this car, and because I don’t know when or where my car might stop. Safety should be a priority on any vehicle. Luckily both times, I was near my house when this happened; God knows what could have happened if the car chose to stop on the highway. If something like this happened 5 years after I bought the car, I would surely take responsibility for it; but how can something like this happen twice within the first year? This is unacceptable and totally unfair for me to have to take responsibility for. Not only do I want Honda to recall this vehicle and pay for the costs in having to repairing this vehicle for breaking down both last time and this time, but I would also like a refund for the car itself. If I didnt care much about having to constantly care for my car, I would have bought a used model and at a significantly lower price. I trusted Honda’s integrity even after last September’s incident, which made me pay off the rest of the car without any further doubts; but now, I know I made a mistake in thinking so.

I bought a new 2009 Honda Accord EX. After a few days, I realized that the drivers seat was very uncomfortable. It can be adjusted in three different ways, so I assumed I just didnt have it adjusted properly. Over the next three weeks or so, I adjusted it in every possible way, but it remained uncomfortable. I contacted the dealer. And they offered to help me buy a good used car (Thanks a lot!). I called North American Honda and they didnt care. And finally, I wrote Tokyo, but they just bounced the problem back to North American Honda. Finally, I got a call from some woman at North American Honda. She had all her talking points down pat. She told me that I should have known that the seats were uncomfortable before I bought it. I asked her how I should know that from a short test drive. She said I just should know. She told me that most people were satisfied with Honda seats. I asked her what Honda had to offer to those of us who werent most people. She had no answer. I also asked her how many complaints Honda had received about their seats. She quickly responded that that was confidential. I told her I could understand why. Her basic attitude was that Honda already had my money, so they didnt give a damn about my problem. I looked for after-market seats, but there werent any because of the air bags in the seat. Its illegal to disconnect air bags. And nobody made after-market seats with air bags. I had the foam in the seat replaced twice, but that didnt help. The car was so miserably uncomfortable that I traded it off after three months and 1700 miles.

BEWARE. I love the car (2019 Honda Fit LX) and its almost perfect, with a few flaws that I had to get used to. One being the headlights dont turn off, the audio screen is always on, going from reverse to drive sometimes has me ending up in neutral, and the rear view camera is always getting dirty. Other than that I love the car and feel safe in it. Until today, after a month buying and driving this car NEW. I went to unlock the car and nothing worked. I went to try to unlock it manually with my key. The whole thing was dead. Had to call roadside assistants and they brought out AAA, who kept saying someone either was trying to break into my car or I pushed the panic button by mistake. No sir, all wrong. Im in a personal gated garage. Anyway, nobody could figure it out but eventually they came to the conclusion that the alarm system just glitched and that I can come in and have the guy turn the alarm off. WTF so I cant use the car with a panic alarm or else I risk the car having me locked out until someone comes to fix it? What is this a stolen iphone. I mean come on! Being unable to get into my car was very scary considering the fact that if I had left my phone inside the car by mistake and needed to unlock the car there would be no way of doing so! Everything works fine again for now but Im still feel uneasy about driving the car now. Again great customer service, nice car, and good driving vision from all views but one very unsafe experience. The first problem of my Honda Civic is the brakes. They are anti-locking brakes but they should be called anti-stopping brakes. When you try to brake going over even the smallest bump, ice on the road, or pot hole, you go another 20 to 60 feet no matter how slow you are going. I mentioned this to the local dealer in New Rochelle (NY) and they said it was the way the cars and brakes are made. The biggest problem is actually the CV joints. After about 5,000 miles, there is a sound when you turn the wheel. No matter how small a turn, it will sound like an old wooden ship; making crickety, crakety sounds. Once again, the dealer said this was not a problem. But now my auto-repair guy says the rubber around the CV joints is perfect; no wear-and-tear. Nothing torn. Nothing worn out. But the CV joint is worn out behind the rubber surrounding it making this a classic case of defective CV joints in a car.I have tried to contact Honda about 3-4 times now and am now about to send a certified letter to the top people at Honda in America and Japan. If this is not resolved, this will be Hondas turn just like when Toyota had their brake problems with the Prius. And why do I say this? Because I have heard many, many people who have had the same problem with their Honda cars having a CV joint problem and I will write and write, make a video to put on YouTube, and build a website if I have to so that Honda either does something or maybe we just all wake up and never buy anything from Japan again.

My situation: I bought a 2013 Civic SI four door in black. I was super happy until I noticed a year ago the paint started getting cloudy and white. Today it looks a lot worse and after undergoing what they call an inspection which was just pictures on one of the employees phone. The case manager had the audacity to inform me that they cant help me because it looks like rock chipping. Should I laugh or just be completely upset? I can say I will no longer depend on this company when it comes to buying a reliable car. I am so disappointed! The cars paint is suppose to have extended warranty of 7 years because of the poor quality of paint or coating they decided to use to save a few dollars. Yet they call me to ask if I would like to trade in my car right after I drive off the Aventura Dealer in Florida. For sales they are quick but the customer service is just disgusting. I will have to get a lawyer involved because this is just unacceptable. Its sad to say I am not the only one with this issue. I wouldnt wish this upon anyone and would never recommend Honda to friends and family again. Getting the car painted out of my pocket is $1000+ and Its just not going to happen. Honda customer service keep telling customers to wait for their case managers to call back if you can even get through to them. Potentially Dangerous Issue with Radio - May sound like an exaggeration, but I assure you, it is not. Let me explain. Imagine how startling it would be to be driving in heavy traffic and then reach for the volume knob of the radio to turn it down, but instantly it goes to full volume. Each time you try to turn it counter-clockwise to decrease the volume, it only gets louder. This has happened many times. It is not consistent, but will happen several times during each week. I have reported this to the Honda Dealer, they did nothing. This is startling and dangerous since it shocks the driver and creates a big distraction, possibly panic within the car.

My CD player in my 2007 Honda Accord, which I use sparingly as I have 2 other vehicles and 2 Honda motorcycles, started giving an error message. Then, my CD player would not work properly. I can no longer eject the three CDs that are in the player. I learned that the 2003-2004 Accords had a service bulletin (04-027 dated 07/09/04) concerning the CD player which the same unit was used in the 2007 Accord. The Honda dealer here in Greenville, NC recommended that I take it to a local (tech) shop and have them do the service. The Honda dealership here in Greenville, NC would charge me $92.00 just to take the CD player out and ship it off to wherever they send it to for service. Then, I would have to pay to have it serviced and again to have it re-installed. I have learned (online) that there is a significant problem with this 6-CD Changer in 2007 Accords. Honda refuses to stand behind their product and wants to shift the cost to the consumer. I have been fairly satisfied with my 2007 Accord, which I bought from Coastal Carolina Honda of New Bern, NC (no longer in business). I thought that from here on out I would only purchase Honda vehicles for the rest of my life. Now, after also seeing how Honda failed to stand behind correcting a problem on my Honda Magna motorcycle, which also had a service bulletin regarding engine overheating because of lack of oil flow that they later re-engineered in newer models, drilling an additional hole in the engine head to allow for more oil flow, my mind has been made up concerning Honda and all of their products. I will no longer purchase any Honda product. I really believed that the company had more integrity than that. But, boy, was I ever wrong! I will soon sell my Honda Accord and motorcycles and kiss Honda goodbye. Life is too short to allow such aggravation in your life. Who needs a company that will not stand behind their own products? I am pretty conscientious about taking care of my things. The problems that have arisen from my Honda car and motorcycle, were due to no fault of my own. They were problems Honda created by their poor engineering and even when the company was made aware of such problems, they continued to pass the cost on to the consumer. Honda was not concerned about saving face. They were more concerned about getting as many US dollars as they could and not having to pay out anything to correct poorly engineered mistakes that they sold and passed on to the consumer. Buyer beware! Not even Honda is concerned about doing the right thing. I have purchased my last Honda product and I will make sure that I do everything I can to let others know to watch out if theyre even thinking about purchasing a Honda.

I booked an appointment with Honda for April 12th, 2016 at 10 am in order to take off four winter tires, replace them with all season tires and replace the air filter. This is a very routine service and one that can be done in less than 45 minutes. This was performed in Thunder Bay, Ontario at the Gore Motors service center. After dropping off the vehicle there was no communication between them and myself and at 6 pm I decided to call. I called 15 times between 6 pm and 8 pm (close) with no answer and absolutely no update on my vehicle. I had to work a night shift as a health care professional at the local hospital and as a result, had to take a taxi to work. This is absolutely unacceptable and frankly, embarrassing. This service was not provided because I am a woman. If this was an adult male the service would have been completed in an hour with no issue. This is horrible for our society, especially for a multinational corporation prominent in the Thunder Bay community. There was no apology provided when I reached the service center at 8:30 am and I was still required to pay the service fee. Such an ordeal was completely unnecessary and it does not take 10 hours to perform an extremely basic service, so either the employees were incompetent or did not provide the sufficient services because I am a young woman. I hope the Customer Service Department sees this complaint and takes action because there is no place for this in our society and I was stranded without a vehicle, which is unjust and unethical. I hope this never happens again and right now have absolutely no desire to ever enter another Honda Service Center with such poor customer service professionals.

The car is fantastic, but has a lot of nickel and dime expenses. It gets incredibly costly, but is a good family vehicle overall. It does what we need it to do. I like that it has a lot of room and three row seating. When you have a lot of kids that have a lot of stuff, you need a lot of room for car seats and leg room. But I dislike that it gets so expensive to keep it maintained. A low maintenance car would be much easier on our growing family. We could spend more on family activities if we were spending less on the car.

I bought a 2018 Honda Accord Touring trim (nearly $40K car). Have had 7 different failures so far (defective paint, electronics failures, parts falling off car door seals, wheel well lining, etc). Hondas answer is to keep taking the vehicle in for service. Its only 3 months old with 6500 miles, and its constantly breaking. In spite of the obvious fact that I have a lemon/dud, Honda will NOT replace the vehicle. My dealers answer outside of keep bringing it in for service was for me to sell my car back to them at a loss, and theyd work me a deal on a new car.GARBAGE quality from Honda. Even worse they dont want to stand behind their product. Ive been working with Leo at Hondas customer care, and he said theres nobody I can escalate to, but hed discuss this internally with the distributor (?) who generally does not talk to the customer. At this point I am in the process of yet more repairs, but a new car experience should NEVER be like this.Ive owned Honda cars my whole life, and have had an 83, 87, 2000, 2005 Accord, as well as a 2005 and a 2006 Odyssey. My 2005 Accord was a nightmare, but that was due to a 3rd party, aftermarket hack job from the dealer, so I cannot state that was a Honda issue. Now I have a 2018 Accord, and outside of some miracle response from Honda to make this right, it will be my last Honda EVER!! To be specific, heres a list of my issues so far in my first 3 months/6500 miles on the car: 1. Paint defect on side of car in front of passenger door 2. Paint defect on roof of car3. Failed backup camera/console unit 4. Weather stripping literally falling off passengers back door 5. Wheel well came loose and is resting on the tire while driving (part is in back order) 6. Bottom weather stripping loose, and sticking outside of rear passengers door7. Intermittent charging working/not working on wireless cell phone charging pad (iPhone X)NOTE: When the dealer looked into the paint on the roof, they first wanted me to file a claim with Cameron (additional paint protection/warranty product I bought), and there was a small elbow sized dent in the corner of the roof after they looked at it which I had to speak with the service manager about to get fixed. They did fix it, but didnt initially want to take ownership of it. Seriously, Honda? Ive Never spent so much money to only live to regret the purchase and get such a careless response from the manufacture of such a clear quality issue with YOUR product. If you are thinking of buying a Honda, buyer beware, and know that Honda will do nothing more than keep sending you in for repairs time and time again. I fear Im reaching the point that the lawyers will have to battle this one out.

On Friday, January 11th, 2013, I left Massachusetts and drove up to New Brunswick, Canada which is about a 9-hour ride. Upon arrival that evening, I parked my car in the driveway and left it sit as usual overnight. Next morning, I unlocked the door and opened the drivers side to a smell of burnt plastic and smoke. Immediately, I noticed the dash info screen and GPS area was melted and realized my passenger side floor was burnt. The glove compartment was melted shut and all wiring was exposed. The windshield was completely smoked up and the ceiling too. I was immediately in touch with my local agent at the Herb Chambers Seekonk, Mass location and they were all pretty worried at the moment and requested that I buy a flight back to Mass, which I did with their approval and reimbursement authorization from Honda. My agent requested that I drop the car off at the local Honda dealership in New Brunswick and I returned back to Massachusetts the day after. My local Honda Herb Chambers has informed me that they will not help me and have requested that I return their loaner car which I also had to do.Remember that only 14 months ago I bought a brand new 2012 Honda Crosstour from them full warranty but they still have told me that I am on my own and that I have to deal with American Honda which has been a total nightmare. The car was shipped back on US ground and brought to Maine where the dept manager took a few pictures and looked over the damage but did not go in to the dash or look internally. I did contact this gentleman and asked him what he thought happened and he said that based on what he saw, it was clearly a faulty wire or condensation started fire due to the change in cold weather.I have since then tried to connect with several people at American Honda in Torrance, CA to try and help me and at least identify what really happened here but Honda has refused to help or further investigate or even acknowledge some sort of defect or internal issue with their brand new 2012 Honda Crosstour. This totally boggles my mind how a corporation like Honda could do this.Wouldnt Honda want to know what happened and how to fix this issue moving forward? They have no respect, no sympathy and they try to consider themselves as a reputable company? Honda America needs to do something so that all parties can be notified properly and if any further issues with the Crosstour can be rectified before further damage or even death occurs. If anyone knows what I should do here, please let me know.

Unfair denial of warranty for my 2010 Honda Rancher with VIN ** purchased on 10/22/2011.On 7/16/2011, the transmission locked up, less than nine months after purchase. I took it to Donelson Cycles in St. Ann, MO to be repaired since it was still under warranty. I was told by the service manager that their Honda representative denied any warranty assistance. I then called Honda Customer Support and was told they would investigate further and get back with me within a couple days.On 7/27/2011, I received a call from Honda Customer Support and was told Honda Warranty assistance was denied because I used an aftermarket oil filter.Being a loyal Honda consumer for many years, I was very disappointed and surprised at their decision to deny any repair assistance. I consulted with an attorney and he suggested I try and resolve this issue prior to retaining his service to move forward with legal action.I would be satisfied if Honda honored their warranty or at least offered reasonable assistance.

At 500 miles the vehicle shook violently at a stop sign. Since there is a vibration of the entire vehicle when idling in Drive gear...at stop lights. Everything shakes. American Honda and the dealer said there is a fix in the works. Honda case managers are evasive and say its not a defect. Many are online complaining. Ive reported to the CA state attorney general, written a certified letter, opened 2 cases with Honda. No fix.

They started using a new AC system that is faulty and costs $500 just for a recharge and of course no one on the planet has the machine to work on it but the dealership. The car is great otherwise. Honda really let me down by simply creating a problem to make more money for service after the sale.

Ive owned Honda cars my whole life, and have had a 1994, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2013. Now I have a two 2018 Accord, they will be my last Hondas EVER!! Heres a list of my issues so far in my first 6 weeks/2226 miles on the car: 1. Paint defect on hood. 2. Paint defect on roof of car. 3. Paint defect on trunk of car. 4. Failed backup camera/console unit. Issues so far in my daughter’s Honda Accord first 8 months/12000 miles on the car: 1. Failed backup camera/console unit. 2. Weather stripping literally falling off driver’s front door. 3. Rattling noise that the dealership can’t hear when I take it in.The district manager is saying its the environment. Not true! I have not one but two 2018 Honda Accords and its only happening one. If it was the environment both of the vehicles would be messed up. My daughter’s Accord paint isn’t messed up and she has had it longer than I have had mine. I have another vehicle that I drive. I drive the SAME route everyday for the last year and I had the other car since 2017, it doesn’t have paint damage either. Something is wrong with the paint on the Honda Accord and I am very disappointed that Honda isnt owning up to it and fixing my vehicle. I have been driving Hondas since 1994. Besides the paint I am very pleased but unless Honda fixes my vehicle I will NEVER buy another Honda in my LIFETIME.

I am Raj ** and I am working in a private company. I purchased a new Honda bike to sell our house which is in Delhi. I purchased a Honda Shine from Race Honda Patpargani, New Delhi. Date of sale was August 14,2011. But it is not running straight on the road, there is a problem bubbling in my bike. I checked the bike the next day, August 15, 2011.In the showroom, they loose the screw of the handle and told me that my bike was okay. But the problem is the same. When I went back there the next day, August 17, 2011, I asked why is it having the same problem. The showroom manager told me that I should go to their workshop. So I went to the workshop on August 24, 2011 and met the workshop manager, Mr Ashwani **. He told me that the rear rim found the band because of the speed breaker and digs, he said they cannot do anything for me and I have to pay around Rs 3,700 for it. I was shocked when I heard it. Then I decided to complain to the Honda Bike Company. The telephone numbers are 2290911, 2290912, 2290913. I do not feel good about them, compared to other companys customer care. But after all that, one Honda engineer Mr. Umesh came, I was hoping he could help me. But he was so busy with his cellphone and he didnt listen to a single word I said, he just told me that my bike is not under warranty so I need to pay for the repair. The parking charge was Rs50 extra, so I was so unhappy that I asked him why do I have to pay for parking and a rim. Then he told me that I have purchased a Honda bike, and that he will not give me a favor. After all that, I think I took the wrong decision to purchase a Honda Shine. My bike is still in the workshop. What can I do now. Can I fire myself?

2008 Honda Accord LX-P manual transmission: I had problems shifting gears one day, all of a sudden (51,000 miles). I took my Honda to White Allen Honda dealership to find out why. They drove the car also, couldnt figure out why it would shift improperly. To make a long story short, I was told that I have to pay over $1,800 for new clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, flywheel, etc. I said, Wait, how can this be at 51,000 miles? Where is my power train warranty coverage at for this problem? I have got no response other than a big bill! I will never own a Honda again. Im going to tell everyone I can about this! I also called 1-800-Honda customer and no service! Nada!

I purchased my first car, a Honda Civic Ex 2009, back in May 2009. I loved this car, until it started giving me troubles. Before the 60K, they have already replaced the motor brackets, the battery, and the TPMS sensors (4 times). Yes, the TPMS sensors have been replaced 4 times in the last 3 months. Last month, I had a flat tire; and no light came on. I stopped due to a strange noise and realized that I had a flat. I contacted the dealer, and they said the light does not come on until you driven over 28MPH. Well, I left it like, I drove it for a couple miles, and the light came back on. I figure it needed air pressure. After a few miles, the light came back off. The dealer had already replaced the sensor 4 times before this, and again, the TPMS sensor light came back on again yesterday. I contacted the dealer to explain to them about the situation, and they said they wanted me to bring in the vehicle for check-up. I scheduled an appointment. I also contacted Honda headquarters (for the second time) and spoke to Mohammed. I told him about the situation I was going through, and he asked me what should I expect from Honda. I told him that at this point, I was so regretful that I purchased a vehicle that was broken from the beginning, that the vehicle is non fixable, and that I wanted to return it. He said that I needed to go back to the dealer and return the vehicle. I did not like his attitude; he did not even try to resolve this issue. He said if I had already made up my mind, then I should go ahead and return the vehicle. I mean, if Im paying for this car, the least that Honda should do for me is a replacement. Shouldnt I? Well, Honda, the least that you can do at this time is give a replacement vehicle or the money that I have paid you for this piece of crap! I will like you to do this before I take matters further. At this point, I am tired of having to drive an unsafe and broken vehicle made from you, Honda. I am tired of going back to dealers to get the car fixed. I am tired of you, Honda, not paying attention to your customers! If you do not resolve this issue, I promise that I will no longer ever in my life purchase another vehicle made from Honda or its affiliates. And Im only 24. Guess how many cars I would buy from now until I cant drive anymore!

Last month, I cant remember the exact date, something has happen to my car. My son, 7 years of age, named, Muhammad Afdhal **, while playing with center rears seat belt has accidentally squeezed his stomach. My husband had tried to loosen the seat belt but unfortunately it further tightened his stomach. The situation at the time was so tensed because I can see my son facing difficulties in breathing. Two peoples around who were trying to help my husband said that we have no choice but to cut the seat belt. Without further delay, my husband ran to the nearest petrol station for cutter. Luckily, he managed to get it and straight away cut the belt. My husband managed to rescue my son but it became a nightmare for me because your service center had informed me that Honda is not liable to replace the belt. In other words, I have to pay by myself.

I purchased a brand new 2014 Honda Civic Ex this year. It now has 20,000 km on it and lets just say dont believe what you read when Honda tells you youll get exceptional fuel mileage. I dont even get good mileage. On average my fuel light comes on before it even hits 350 km. Right now my tank is sitting at 1/8 and theres 286 km on it. Ill be lucky if I hit 350 km. Ive contacted honda multiple times and no help whatsoever. I purchased this vehicle for fuel mileage as I had a Chevy Tahoe prior to. I got better mileage on my truck than I do this car. I will never purchase another honda ever again. I am trying to get rid of this one now and very displeased with how Honda has treated the whole situation.

In this sea of negativity, keep in mind that this site is going to be skewed towards those coming here to complain about problems. Venting is understandable. Ive owned unreliable cars in the past. That being said, none of my problem cars have been Hondas. Ive owned Acuras and Hondas, and others in my family have Hondas as well and none of us have experienced problems at all. And were glad for that because thats the #1 reason we chose the manufacturer. Honda is KNOWN for reliability and low cost of ownership and their reputation is built on it. I purchased a 2007 Civic EX w/ Nav back in 2010. Got it for a great price and its been nothing but dead reliable. The only thing Ive had to do is brakes and new tires, all around at 75k miles. Otherwise, its been typical oil changes and fluid top offs. Ive taken the car from Texas to California and back on a road trip. Again, no problems. Im currently sitting at about 90k miles. The only real issue that I take is cosmetic. The front, passenger side fender/bumper, where the bumper meets the wheel well, always comes unhooked and pops out about a half an inch. I have to bump it back into place with the bottom of my fist from time to time. Thats really it. All the electronics work perfectly and it always starts and runs fine.

This email regards a horrible customer service experience I have had with Honda. I have had a problem with my 2017 Hatch - the center console randomly begins a series of beeps (beep-beep-beep) and throws my iPhone, especially the navigation system, off of the system. I have video recorded the problem happening and taken it to my dealer and another dealer on 4 occasions. They cannot replicate the problem.I called Honda USA to seek additional help. My case was given to a case manager - LUIS - who argued with me, made me cry on every phone conversation, even angered my even-tempered husband. I am seeking help with this problem and all I got was verbal abuse. When I asked to speak to a manager or another agent, I was told by LUIS that I could only speak with him. This one experience - this one experience alone - has decided me that Honda is not the company for me. You seem not to care about a problem that I am sure with time will end up in some sort of recall situation - I simply cant imagine that my car is the only one having this problem. If your customer service is so uncaring and apathetic, then I simply cant be a part of this company.

I bought brand new Honda Accord EX-L in 2014 March. It suddenly wouldnt start. Battery was brand new.
