2016 CR-Z

The 2016 Honda CR-Z is a compact hybrid car that combines sporty styling with hybrid technology. It's important to note that the CR-Z was discontinued after the 2016 model year, so the information provided is specific to that year. Here are some of the notable features and specifications of the 2016 Honda CR-Z:

Hybrid Powertrain: The CR-Z featured a hybrid powertrain that combined a gasoline engine with an electric motor. The powertrain offered both improved fuel efficiency and a modest boost in performance.

Engine Options: The 2016 CR-Z was available with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine paired with an electric motor. Depending on the trim level, it could be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Sport Mode: The CR-Z offered a "Sport" mode that enhanced throttle response and adjusted the power delivery for a more spirited driving experience.

Integrated Motor Assist (IMA): The CR-Z's hybrid system used Honda's Integrated Motor Assist technology to provide additional power when accelerating and assist in regenerative braking.

Styling: The CR-Z had a unique and sporty design, resembling a small hatchback with a coupe-like profile. It featured a distinctive front grille, angular lines, and a rear hatch spoiler.

Two-Seater Configuration: The CR-Z had a two-seat configuration with a center console that separated the driver and passenger seats, emphasizing a driver-focused experience.

Interior Features: The interior of the CR-Z included a digital instrument cluster with various displays related to the hybrid system, fuel efficiency, and performance. It also featured a touchscreen infotainment system with available navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, and smartphone integration.

Eco Assist: The CR-Z had an Eco Assist system that provided feedback to the driver on their driving habits to promote fuel-efficient driving.

Safety Features: Standard safety features included antilock brakes, stability and traction control, multiple airbags, and a rearview camera. Advanced safety features like forward collision warning and lane departure warning were available on certain trim levels.

Cargo Space: Despite its compact size, the CR-Z offered a reasonable amount of cargo space in the rear hatch area, making it practical for everyday use.

Optional Packages: Honda offered various optional packages that allowed buyers to customize their CR-Z with features like leather-trimmed seats, upgraded audio systems, and exterior accessories.

Fuel Efficiency: One of the key highlights of the CR-Z was its fuel efficiency, which was achieved through its hybrid powertrain. It offered improved mpg figures compared to many non-hybrid vehicles.

Keep in mind that the 2016 Honda CR-Z was the last model year for this particular vehicle, and it has been discontinued since then. As always, it's recommended to check the specific trim level and features available on the CR-Z model you're interested in, as options might vary.

I purchased a brand new 2014 Honda Civic Ex this year. It now has 20,000 km on it and lets just say dont believe what you read when Honda tells you youll get exceptional fuel mileage. I dont even get good mileage. On average my fuel light comes on before it even hits 350 km. Right now my tank is sitting at 1/8 and theres 286 km on it. Ill be lucky if I hit 350 km. Ive contacted honda multiple times and no help whatsoever. I purchased this vehicle for fuel mileage as I had a Chevy Tahoe prior to. I got better mileage on my truck than I do this car. I will never purchase another honda ever again. I am trying to get rid of this one now and very displeased with how Honda has treated the whole situation.

Updated on 11/17/2020: Im not happy with Honda and customer service. They keep brushing me off and just saying, Oh he has a case number. They dont do anything to fix the problem. I will never buy a car again from Honda. Im not happy with Honda.Original Review: I was shocked when my tire blew out on the road and I had no spare. I have to spend my time and lose of a day of work to wait for the tow truck to come to pick up the car and take to the tire place. And I have to spend money for a tow truck. That in itself is a rip-off. I will be filing a class-action lawsuit against Honda for the inconvenience and safety. Whoever had the same situation please contact me so you can be part of the lawsuit. **

I bought my 02 Accord brand new, and now have 174K on the clock. Ive replaced the transmission 3 times, and finally found a shop here in San Francisco that built it correctly. They told me that Honda transmissions are unlike any other standard transmission design and they fail often. Theres too much pressure kept in the torque converter, and not enough return fluid for the unit to function correctly. There are several aftermarket fixes, of course, that you have to pay for. When I picked my car up at the shop, there were 3 Accords, 3 Odysseys and 2 MDXs. I called American Honda to ask for some sort of help seeing as this is my 3rd time around the pony show - nothing. Shame on Honda for being so stupid in their design. Im not going back for more.

I am so disgusted with Honda. I filed a complaint with Cal OSHA and the Better Business Bureau. 2008 CRV Locks are messed up. They recalled just the drivers side door lock (only 1 that worked). 1 stays unlocked 27/7 and 1 stays locked passenger side. They refuse to help me in any way shape or form. I am disabled, live off 900 a month and was quoted 450.00 per door for a 50.00 part. I am raising an 8 year old and have a special needs granddaughter THESE FLIPPIN DOORS ARE UNSAFE. I called an attorney friend and is going to send them a letter seeking legal action. NOT HELPFUL. I WILL NOT OWN ANOTHER HONDA. Which I have owned since I was 16. NO MORE SCAMMERS.

I purchased a new 2009 Honda Accord Coupe, 4 cylinder, and after about 35,0
I purchased a new 2009 Honda Accord Coupe, 4 cylinder, and after about 35,000 miles, I started experiencing excessive oil consumption. Oil is being lost at the rate of 1 qt. per 1,000 miles. I do not see any oil on my garage floor, so I can only assume it is burning it slowly. This is my second Accord, by the way, and I drive 25,000 miles per year, so I know darn well what the usage rate is. I went online to see if any other people had experienced this, and was surprised to find out that many other owners are having this problem, all across the US, in fact. The car was under warranty, so I called American Honda, and they told me to take it to a dealer, so that a diagnostic could be run, but they admitted that there was a recall for this problem. They said there was a software update, which should solve the problem. I was highly skeptical that software could fix it, but I played along. The next day, I took the car to Herb Chambers Honda in Burlington, MA for a diagnostic. They didnt see anything in the codes, and no visible signs of leakage. They did the software upgrade, and changed the oil, and told me to come back when (if) the oil level hit the low point on the dip stick. At about 2,700 miles, 1/27/12, the oil light came on today. I took the car back today, and they told me it had a little over 2 quarts of oil in it. It lost roughly 2 quarts per 1,000 miles. There was no change after the software upgrade at all. Actually, there was a change. My gas mileage went from high 20s to low 20s on the highway. They actually made the car worse. The dealer told me that 1 quart per 1,000 miles is normal for any car. I almost fell over, when they said that. In all my years of driving, including cars from the 60s and 70s, I have never seen a car come anywhere close to that. They actually thought I would buy that story. It is unbelievable! So, I called American Honda, to speak with the case manager that had been assigned to my case, and was expecting him to be all apologetic, and say that they would resolve the problem. Not a chance! He used the same line the dealer did, with the 1 qt. per 1,000 miles being normal usage. I was outraged! I just couldnt believe it. A multiple car Honda owner, and they didnt care the slightest about me, or their product. They could have made a customer for life by fixing it, but instead, they made an enemy for life. Now, Im stuck with a 2 year old piece of junk, and have no choice but to trade it in. Ill never buy another product from Honda, ever again, and I will be sure tell my story to everyone I come in contact with.

I am writing to you to inform that I am very disappointed with customer service care line from HONDA from the way they handle case. The story is like this: My nephew call customer service line at 1800-18-1177 on 13th November 2018 after his car ** accidentally hit broken hole at Bangi while heavy raining. He call at 3.00pm plus and towing truck only arrived at 7pm plus. After they checked the car (in front 2 tyre burst and found the car cannot start) they say will send the car to the nearer HONDA which at Semenyih. They ask whether can they send to SAG ULTIMATE centre which my nephew do not know actually. The place is only for (Body and Paint centre) after accident. Here what I want to question how come Honda towing track staff do not know where to send the car base on the car situation and case. My nephew is not accident which I think they should straight send the car to the nearer HONDA service centre. How come they send the car to the body & paint centre???14th November 2018. I went to the SAG ultimate and they mention they did not provide checking or repair for engine issue. Then I call back your customer service line and talk to Ms. ** to collect back the car and send to the HONDA service centre but she mention I need to pay for it which is the procedure is like that. Im like… What? I have to pay for your mistake? And further Im not asking to bring to other workshop. Im asking to collect and send to HONDA service centre. I really hope the management of HONDA look into this issue. This will make your customer feel upset and HONDA reputation will affected. Your customer service never act professional in this difficult situation. Its not about the money that we need to pay extra for the towing issue but just the matter of professionalism and customer happinessLastly I would like to give compliment and professional sales services to SAG ultimate branch at Semenyih to the Manager (Steve **) which provide me efficient and fast respond on settling this issue. He take the responsibility to send my nephew car to the Semenyih HONDA service centre without any charges. Thank you for his staff at the SAG centre, Mr. Chin ** and En ** for the good customer care and professional attitude. Thanks.

2008 Honda Civic EX - Sept. 2013 with 105,000 miles, the AC intermittently would not work. Refrigerant was good. Eventually by early 2015 would hardly work at all. Taken to Honda dealer where I purchased the car new. There were metal shavings that looked like sand in the system. $3,800 to repair. Wife drove the car exclusively so heres what most likely happened. Compressor went bad in 2013 but still worked and probably made some noise at some point and should have been replaced then. Our fault to some degree, but the point is these compressors only have a shelf life. Ive had numerous Hondas and never had compressor problems. Wish I had known, would have never bought the car. Also, I talked to the service rep and he advised me that HR-V have the same problem. Will do everything possible to have Honda reimburse all who had/will AC compressors going bad.

I have 2004 Honda Accord and the clear coat is starting to peel and it looks awful. It looks like it has a disease. I went to local dealership in Kamloops, BC and they said it was too far outside the warranty period and they wont do anything and referred me to Honda Canada. I called them and they called the dealer and then told me the exact same thing. Honda does not stand behind their product. I was a fan of Honda but will reconsider buying another one. Toyota is being held responsible for their paint problems so why not Honda. Very dissatisfied. Honda Customer relations also got very snotty with me which I didnt appreciate. I made sure I was calm and was not aggressive or assertive and she was still a bag when I was asking why Honda would not stand behind their product. Doesnt pay to be nice! May be a $5,000 paint job to even look presentable if we want to sell.

I went into Honda on Rt. 22 in Hillside, NJ for a diagnosis test & oil change. The service advisor tells me its just my battery. Ok so I wait for them to change the battery. Then he comes out 20 min later and says Can you come with me? I have to show you something. The mechanic shows my cables are ate up from the battery. He cannot change battery without changing cables which was approximately 600 and some change which I didnt have. My mechanic states my barrings are also leaking which was approximately 700 and some change. Now I had my car serviced back in April, they didnt see all the acid and corrosion on my battery. YES THEY DID, it was too much not to and to eat my cables from April to Oct the way it did, it was a lot of acid. Ok so I tell them look, fix it where I can drive it and Ill pay for the oil change and diagnosis test which was $85. While Im waiting they come tell me they dont have the parts. Ok give me a loaner. They dont have loaners, they have a shuttle - but fine, Im going to East Orange, OH. We dont go to East Orange, we go to Newark, Irvington, Union, Hillside and Elizabeth. Ok East Orange is a hop, skip, and jump away from all of them - WTF. Now Im mad, frustrated, hungry. I get a call with bad news of a relative passing - the day is just going downhill. Then a man approaches me about a car. I go in his office, we talk. He tells me I can take a new car & bring it back Saturday. Well that sounded great at the time so I sign temporary insurance papers to cover the new car, a privacy paper in which they said it was mandatory, and left with the car. I leave out the state on an emergency, my brother brings the car back to Rt. 22 Honda in Hillside and guess what? They SOLD MY CAR, told me I would have to give the $150 to get it back. Sorry Rt. 22 Honda - you better be very very careful of them.

I leased a 21 passport with my husband last month from Honda. The sales team was great, price was good and team was friendly -unfortunately this car has some issues! I don’t blame the dealer. I blame the maker (Honda). Since we bought the car I have been driving it back and forth to work and with my son. After a car wash one day I had noticed rust behind the wheels. I told my husband about it he said it wasn’t like this when we bought it. About week later I started to notice a weird feeling when driving so I gave my husband the car to drive. After him driving it he feels it has some transmission issues. Between that and the rust he was super pissed. He contacted Honda hq and brought it for service. The manager was super helpful and nice my husband said but unfortunately after the visit the rep that came from hq told us the car is normal! I’m sorry rusty/not proper functioning transmission is not normal. I am very unhappy that I do not feel safe to drive this car and now every month I have to pay for something I can’t even get behind the wheel. My husbands friend has the 20 passport. No issues. No rust. No transmission problems. Why is this the issue with the 2021? Issues after a little over a month of ownership not a good look. Awful job Honda!!

Here Maps provide updates to Honda & Acura Navigation system. They knowingly sell DVD map updates that may cause permanent damage the Honda and Acura navigation systems without offering a disclaimer. On June 7, 2017 I purchased the 2017 Honda White DVD to update the navigation system in my 2007 Honda Accord. I followed all instructions listed inside the case. At first the system appeared to be updating. A few minutes later, I received a read disc error on my navigation screen. I contacted customer service and was advised to removed the disk. I attempted to remove the disk but it would not eject. I took the car to the Honda dealership and they were also unable to get it to eject. The next day after the letting the car sit, I was able to eject the 2017 DVD. So I put the old one back in, press eject and it ejected fine. I put it back in so I can just leave the NAVI system the way it was. At first there was a message on the screen that read System now downloading. After a few minutes it went back to read disk error. So now the original disc can no longer be read. Although Here agree to refund me the $100 I paid for the DVD. Now Honda want to charge me $110 to do diagnostics to my system. I researched online and see where many other customers have the same issue and some have spent as much as $4000 resolving this issue. Here refers me to Honda and vice versa. I advised the last rep I spoke with at HERE that they should at least offer a disclaimer that states Beware this update may destroy your system. She agreed and said she will make that suggestion so future customers wont continue to experience this issue. Honda and Here are aware of the problem yet they continue to sell these DVD updates and customer is responsible for the damages associated with the update. This isnt fair and they should be held responsible for the money people spend to pay for the updates and the damages associated with the update. Can you please assist me this?

My 2004 Honda Civic EX Sedan was a great car all in all until just a few days ago when I was sitting at a stop light at almost rush hour in a busy metro area with my foot on the break. Suddenly the car went into an uncontrolled, unintended acceleration. I could hear the engine rev and I just froze with horror. A few seconds later it crashed into the car in front of me and stopped and turned off. I was extremely lucky that 1) that car was there or I would have gone into a busy intersection and 2) my daughter was not in the car. The driver I crashed into and the valet guys from the hotel across the street saw I was extremely shaken up but alert and in my right mind. The mechanics can fix the damage caused by the impact but since this is such a rare problem, they probably wont be able to identify what went wrong or prevent it from happening again so Ill have to trash the car. Given that several people had to die for Toyota to take any responsibility for their problems with unintended acceleration and that there have been several complaints to Honda of cars with this problem with no recompense, I am extremely unhappy to hear the existing complaints have not led to a recall or that almost certainly my complaint will be completely ignored.

Ive owned Honda cars my whole life, and have had a 1994, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2013. Now I have a two 2018 Accord, they will be my last Hondas EVER!! Heres a list of my issues so far in my first 6 weeks/2226 miles on the car: 1. Paint defect on hood. 2. Paint defect on roof of car. 3. Paint defect on trunk of car. 4. Failed backup camera/console unit. Issues so far in my daughter’s Honda Accord first 8 months/12000 miles on the car: 1. Failed backup camera/console unit. 2. Weather stripping literally falling off driver’s front door. 3. Rattling noise that the dealership can’t hear when I take it in.The district manager is saying its the environment. Not true! I have not one but two 2018 Honda Accords and its only happening one. If it was the environment both of the vehicles would be messed up. My daughter’s Accord paint isn’t messed up and she has had it longer than I have had mine. I have another vehicle that I drive. I drive the SAME route everyday for the last year and I had the other car since 2017, it doesn’t have paint damage either. Something is wrong with the paint on the Honda Accord and I am very disappointed that Honda isnt owning up to it and fixing my vehicle. I have been driving Hondas since 1994. Besides the paint I am very pleased but unless Honda fixes my vehicle I will NEVER buy another Honda in my LIFETIME.

Upon leaving the house a couple months ago, loading the kids in the car then, bam, the back passenger door falls, breaking the cable and damaging the fender in the process. Calls to Honda make it apparent they do not plan to do anything for a design flaw causing a safety concern for my kids who ride right next to this door. The repair from them is in excess of $1500! Then we are loading up today and bam, second back slider cable breaks! Now this door has our 6 month old baby right next to it! This is our only family vehicle, and to put icing on the cake, the sole provider for the family is off work for a back injury! Honda refuses to pony up and assist with issues despite calls asking why our 4 year old car is falling apart, their answers, normal wear and tear is not covered and we will have to foot the bill entirely on our own! Honda quality is nothing what it used to be and their customer service and support is laughable. Before these issues we were ecstatic to share our new car and tell everybody how great it was, now I would not recommend this car to my worst enemy!

I purchased a new 2006 Honda Civic LX and now, 5 years and 41,000 miles later, the paint is fading and the clear coat is disintegrating! I regularly get my car cleaned and waxed, so it is not neglect. I park my car outside and the paint/clear coat should hold up! I went to Braman Honda in Lake Worth and they said my car was out of warranty - 3 years or 36,000miles. I got an estimate to repaint the roof and trunk lid (the hood had been repaired in Jan. 2011 due to a fender bender) and it will be $671 to repair. I am in the process of getting another estimate. There was a class-action suit for the visors in this vehicle and Honda extended the warranty for those to 7 years. Rather than improving on the design of the visor, they will replace it and after 7 years you are out of luck. I am pretty disgusted at this paint situation and even more so, since I see this is a prevalent problem with Honda - using poor paint and clear coat. I love my 2006 Honda Civic LX Coupe. It is a beautiful car and mechanically, it is fantastic. My friend just bought a 2012 Honda Civic EX. It is beautiful and I am reluctant to upgrade to a Honda because of this paint problem, unless I plan to repaint the car at a cost around $2,300 - $3,000. Honda, what is wrong with you guys? Please improve your paint and you will get rid of a lot of headaches! I want Honda to pay to have my car repainted with good quality paint. This car should last another five years, at least.

I am the original owner of a 2013 Honda Accord EX-L. This car has never had service anywhere other than Honda dealership. Even oil changes. A few weeks ago I took it to have oil change and the recall on the battery sensor. When I got into car prior to service it would not start. The dealership told me that because the battery was involved it would do that. The problem progressively got worse until actually would not start. I took back to dealership and they told me it would cost $700.00 to replace the starter. The car has around 50 K miles on it. After I googled the issue with the recall and bad starter it seems that many other Honda owners are having this problem. I called Honda and the rep said that she has heard of this happening and was surprised but her supervisor stated that it was unrelated to the recall and will do nothing about it. I will never buy another Honda again!!! Very disappointed.

Have been a Honda owner all of my life. The last two Hondas, a 2010 Hybrid Insight and a 2013 Civic, had batteries die at two years old with mileage under 20,000. I am very concerned. I feel their quality has gone down. Do not get me wrong, their service is outstanding. The batteries were replaced in both instances with no hassle and no cost because they were under warranty. However I am deeply concerned. Another month and I wouldve been stranded in ice and snow with no heater. Thank God it was caught when it was. Looking online I see I am not the only person with this complaint. I also feel the interiors are more plastic and not as lux as they used to be. After five Hondas, I think I am going to make a switch the next time I am ready to buy a car. Again service outstanding, quality of car has gone downhill.

Honda Customer Service is extremely disappointing. Items offered/described on their website imply suitability for all--not true. Example: Website describes Backup Sensors as Help yourself in or out of a tight spot while helping to protect your paint; Four Sensors emit audible beeps into the cabin while you back up, signaling objects as you approach them. Beeps quicken as your vehicle gets closer to objects. Note: Back-up sensor attachment is required for installation. ** Polished Metal Metallic; MSRP: $265.32. On the purchase of a 2011 CR-V, we had backup sensors installed for $857. Turns out that the emitted beeps are very high-frequency which my husband cannot hear. (According to The National Institute of Health (NIH) 15 percent (26 million) of Americans between the ages of 20-69 cannot hear high pitched tones because of military service (in my husbands case dating back to 1965), etc. ) We would not have requested this safety feature installed on our new CR-V, the third new Honda my husband has purchased since 1997, unless we considered it important. We are a retired couple on a fixed income, and we think long and hard prior to spending this amount of money on discretionary items. Honda personnel with whom we have dealt offered us one option--go to an after market auto shop and see if they could rig up flashing lights to supplement the (inaudible) sound. Are they serious? In backing up, we have to look forward to see flashing lights!!! What about the sides of the vehicles where the backup sensors are supposed to ensure protection?

This is a 2008 Honda CR-V with current miles of 39,271 which was delivered June 26, 2008 from White Plains Honda Westchester New York.It is with great concern that I am forced to express my disgust in realizing that the right front strut of the vehicle mentioned above has ceased to be functional, not withstanding that fact that this occurred right after the time of the warranty expiration and with the vehicle only achieving the miles stated above.I am hereby requesting that special consideration be given to the replacement of the defective strut as an act of good faith, bearing in mind that the vehicle has never been in an accident and is only driven from home to office, to the supermarket and occasionally to transport a family member to and from the airport. In addition, all the service schedules has been adhered to at the New Rochelle Honda Dealership that is closer to my home. I am happy with the performance of the vehicle otherwise, except at approximately 3,000 miles the entire steering assembly had to be replaced due to excessive power steering under steer (very stiff). The matter with the right front strut is unresolved and await your prompt and positive response in this important matter. Please allow me to quote an excerpt from one of your honda advertisement on the airways, After all this vehicle is a Honda

I recently took my 2012 Fit into the Honda dealership as the air conditioning wasnt working and it was making a hissing noise. It turns out that there is corrosion between the compressor and the hose that connects to it. It will cost me over $1,000 to repair. How does a 4 year old car that is kept in a garage at home and in covered parking in the day get corrosion under the hood? One of the reasons I bought a new car at the time of purchase was so I would not have costly repairs anytime soon. Now I am looking at a $1,000 repair for something that in my opinion shouldnt happen in a car of this age.

My Honda car had a problem with Motor Assembly. I checked the company website, and placed an order underlying the companys suggestion. After more than one-month waiting, I received the product, but found it was not the right part and could not be used. I immediately asked to return and the product was not trying to install and in the same shipping box. But the company replied me Nothings wrong with our company; Honda has the right to say what they will and will not accept as a return. And motors and electrical items cannot be returned, whether or not theyre opened. We do make this clear on our Return Policies. I strongly recommend avoiding this type of company when you place an order online!

I had purchased 2011 Honda Accord EX-L V6 (non-navigation) at Norm Reeves Honda in Cerritos, CA. So far, I had problems ever since the purchase. A tire blew out a week after purchase (paid 200 for tire from dealer, 165 at Costco). A Variable Cylinder Management problem locked up the car this month on August 9th, 2011. And the A/C system leaked and no longer worked on August 27th, 2011. The car has only 27,000 miles on it. And the car is within warranty. A brake pad in the front right caliper was also cracked and replaced by another dealer.I am thoroughly disappointed with the workmanship of this 2011 vehicle or 8th generation series Accord. My past Honda Accord 2005 was purchased new, an EX-L V6 (non-navigation). It worked without problems or mechanical difficulties, with the exception after 135,000 miles for a software update for a fast idle relearn on the ECU. That car was sold with 212,000 miles without these problems as compared to the 2011 Honda Accord. The only difficulty observed was with the mechanical workmanship of a different dealership from Norm Reeves, where a replaced engine, mount from wear and tear, was not tightened down properly.

I bought 2018 Honda Accord about a month ago and it already had fuel injector problem! After I took it to a Honda dealership in Burnsville to fit it it stated to smell like gas in my vehicle after they fixed it. I took it back to them and they said, Keep driving it because we don’t see any leaks. That’s where I went to back to the Brookdale Luther dealership to try and change the car out but they said it past the 5 day grace period. So they connected me with the service people to try and fix the problem but they told me to go back to Burnsville dealership because theyre the ones who started the job and they have to finish it otherwise we going to have to charge just to look at it. I also got a extended warranty with Honda.

Ive enjoyed my 2003 Honda Odyssey as a family car and also to haul garden materials. The seats are comfy and the overall driving experience is good. My main complaint is twofold. First, it gets only about 16 miles to the gallon around town/18 on the freeway. This is pretty poor by any standards. And second, the clear coat on the dark green paint job has failed; this began within 8 years of purchase. Large portions of the horizontal surfaces have peeled off, leaving a white residue, while the vertical surfaces still look very nice. I see other Odysseys around town of the same vintage and they all have the same problem. And a quick look on the web shows that this is a massive problem. I am looking forward to buying a new car soon but will not be buying a Honda due to the paint problem. Its a shame really as the car has performed well.

My 2008 Honda Civic has an ongoing problem with peeling and flaking paint. The recall did cover the cost of repainting the trunk, roof and hood. However Honda will not cover the cost to repaint the passenger side of the car around the windows. This paint is the worst area on the car. My dealer said it is not covered by the recall and want me to pay part of the expense. I think Honda should be responsible for making the car whole without any cost to me.

While driving my car on I-10, both the passenger side curtain airbag and seat airbag deployed with no warning or reason! When I got home, I wanted to contact Honda; but a lawyer friend warned me to do my research first! I found several online complaints about the same issue. In each case, Honda claimed they must have run something over that caused airbags to deploy. In each case, driver was sure they didnt; but Honda refused to fix the car, and insurance also refused. I took proper steps to protect myself; and sure enough, Honda gave me the same response. I can’t believe nothing is being done about this! It is unfair and very dangerous to all drivers on the road! I recently purchased a $30 Honda shirt (Made in Taiwan) from the apparel store. After one wear, the material was easily altered (for better lack of term). I returned it, received an in store credit and immediately used the credit, added $30 to that, and purchased what I thought to be a Quality $60 Honda Jersey. At the time I did not realize it was also made in Taiwan! No tag, only a plastic Made in Taiwan stamp inside! Well customer service refused to accept the return because supposedly there was no manager in store. On my way out, the salesman & I talked and he was able to talk with someone who the cashiers could not talk to, and the salesman offered me a $25 in-store credit! I basically refused, and he was surprised because he said its usually not hard to give away $25! Without him realizing, I didnt want to give away $35 (the difference of what I paid)! I left the store, left the jersey in the parking lot and will never visit the store again! I purchased a $7K bike (cash), I purchased other apparel, accessories, gifts, helmets, even $149 boots a month ago. I felt good to be a loyal customer but too bad I didnt get the same loyalty! I was so mad I was in tears! Oh well, no more tears over Dreyer as I will shop elsewhere!

I have a 2017 Honda CRV Touring. Bought in Nov. of 2017. Has 11, 500 miles on it. Counting the original battery it is now on its 3rd one. As of July 5, 2019 I have had the 6th dead battery. Ive had every excuse under the sun for these. First one was that we had to keep the key fobs for electronic start more than 20 feet from the vehicle when not in use. Electrical components in them will drain the battery. Most recent excuse was we dont drive vehicle enough. Was told to take car out on the highway at least once a week, drive 10 miles at 50 MPH and then return 10 miles. This is necessary to keep the battery charged. Rarely does vehicle ever sit 1 day without being driven and driven every week multiple times over 20 miles at 50 MPH. Other people have had same complaints with identical vehicle. I am in process of filing claim under Pa. Lemon Law. My 2nd and last Honda.

2019 HRV Have been happy with it. Infotainment center has always given me a problem. When turning on right blinker Apple car play turns off. Using steering wheel to change display doesn’t work. Constantly lost signal in middle of driving for no reason. Brought in more than once to fix it and all they did was reset it which only made me have to reset stations. Now nothing works on the system. They have no idea how long it will take to get entire audio system back in stock. So now The car I bought to have Apple Car play and maps does nothing. Can’t use phone charger. Can’t use Bluetooth. Nothing but a blinking H for who knows how long. I feel like I have not a full car. Finally ready to go on road trip and the things I bought for safer trips and doesn’t work. Bought the touring for all the infotainment and now have nothing. Paid for infotainment and now have nothing with no end in sight. Would not buy again because of this. Would sell now but wouldn’t get moneys worth because of it. 2019 HRV not worth it if you want a working radio or car charger or map.

I am a very frustrated owner of Honda Accord 2.0 VTi-L, Full Spec, VTEC with plate no **, registered in Penang, Malaysia. Ive been maintaining my vehicle in your service center namely KAH Motor located in Sungai Pinang, Penang, Malaysia. Six months back, I had complained about sounds from the bottom of my car bonnet. The service engineer helped to check, but could not find the root cause of the sound. Id sent my car for checking for 3 times during the past 6 months, no results. Finally, a month back they told me they found the cause. But, the spare parts need to be ordered from others. They said theyd filed a complaint to Honda HQ and the warranty claim has been approved, spare part should be arriving within 1st week of Apr.12. Sadly, they did not update me even after 15/4/12. When I called up, they said the spare part had not arrived and they do not know when it is arriving. What an irresponsible answer?! They didnt even bother to highlight my problem to their top management and get my case solved. After all, Ive been waiting for 6 months to confirm the root cause of the sounds. And now, another infinity date to wait for the repairs?! This is totally unacceptable! I am a heavy user of this vehicle and I need to be safe on the road. I need this to be resolved.

2009 Honda Odyssey purchased out right. From the very first day this van pulled slightly to the left and would on regular occasions pop the steering wheel right out of my hands. I took it to the dealer so many times I lost count. I even had it reported to the general manager for doing a service test drive on the van. They’re claiming nothing was wrong. Yet this would happen out of the blue and catch me off guard. I felt very unsafe in this van and they would not trade it or swap it out. I now wonder if I had financed it if they would have paid better attention. The consequences were I got fed up with Saratoga Honda messing me around. The van spent more time there than in my possession, so I traded it for a Hyundai and have had zero issues. In fact the service department in Queensbury, NY is far better than Honda in Saratoga. More polite more knowledgeable of their product and they treat me like a human being not an empty-headed female which is the way I felt I was being treated in Saratoga. No more business from me. Perfect for a young driver. That being said, a word of caution: this is a small car. If in a high volume trucking area or high traffic area, you need to be aware of cars around you, as they may not see you. Ive had 2 accidents where people ran into me bc they didnt see my parked car. I phoned Honda America at 800/999-1009 to complain about poor treatment at a Honda dealership. A representative returned my call on 9/1/15, and basically said that I was not a Honda customer, that I was a customer of the dealership and not Honda. I guess thats true! Honda sells vehicles to its CUSTOMER, the dealerships, and thus cares only about its relationship with those entities, not the dealerships customers. Specifically, the sales manager played a shell game and jacked up the sales price to the same amount of the trade in value, which brought the sale price to the MSRP. This higher price vehicle was sold to an elderly disabled person. Shame on Honda! I compared Honda America to a national fast food chain, that if tainted food is purchased at an independently owned franchise then the national company has no liability with the poisoned food that left a bad taste in the customers mouth, so to speak. The Honda America said that was not a good comparison. I disagree. A national company makes money from the end user but accepts no liability? I made the recommendation that Honda America offer me a model year end sales incentive, since the 2016 CRV models have been delayed until the spring of 2016, presumably because of a well-documented issues with excessive engine vibration when the CRV models are idling at traffic lights. (Said one person, I didnt buy a CRV, I purchased a massage chair.) The Honda America rep repeated that I was not a Honda customer but one of the dealership. I strongly recommend that those seeking to purchase a vehicle not consider any Honda model, since Honda does not care about Hondas sold by dealerships. Thing is, Honda makes a profit whether individuals buy Hondas or not. Hondas customers (and thus its loyalty) are the dealerships. So why buy a Honda if no one cares about you?

First of all, I was told they had no record of our payment for the windshield, which was paid on the 15th. I told them I have the record on my credit card. They said they still dont have record, they then located it after taking my car and finding the receipt in the center console.Anyway, here I am sitting at Honda, Concord, CA, 1.38 p.m., the service person came over approx. 1 hour ago, saying the car had GONE to the window place, and it will take almost all day. Okay, what happened to the window people coming here?!? Also, I have sat here for over 4 hours, unable to go to the bathroom, in case they happened to say it was ready. Also, we paid a large amount of money for a warranty, every time we come in, they cant find it on the computer, and they charge us!! Why dont they ask the financial department, as they have got it from there once before after a fuss from my husband. Now, my husband called, asking to speak to the General Manager of Honda Concord, and was told he wasnt allowed to speak to him. Was he asked to leave a message for the General Manager? No!!! He was told to leave a message for the Service Manager, who is apparently in a meeting and will call my husband back. Lets see how long that takes....

I am highly disappointed in the service I’ve received from Honda Customer Service. I leased a 2017 Honda Accord Sport and have had nothing but issues from day 1. The dealership has done an exceptional job trying to resolve the issues, where Honda Customer Service lacks the ability to serve their customers and document cases open accurately. I’ve had issues from the gas tank release being broken in the first week to a constant wind noise coming from the driver side window or door seal. In addition, I had to take my car in once again for a heavy vibration when breaking. I’ve made several trips to get these things resolved and Honda Customer Service has a very unsatisfied customer on their hands. I will definitely reconsider going with Honda in the future and I have two of them. Hopefully Honda executives realize the lack of quality support with their Customer service group.

0-10 miles = key fob not working. 10-70,000 = one key fob fell apart the other one put together by tape. 15,000 miles = console and arm rest replaced. 35000 miles = console and arm rest tearing. Not covered. 25,000 miles = loud clicking noise turning left. Honda did not cover this. Still an issue. 100,000 miles = recall on rubber bushings, confirmed damaged but they will not replace due to the fact that there is no leakage yet. Paid over $800 for tires and alignment and after I drove off I realized I had to force the wheel to the right for it to stay on the road. Then to test it I let go of the steering wheel multiple times and it immediately pulled to the left. I called the service department three times to speak with the man who oversaw my service, he didnt answer. So I made a u-turn and returned the vehicle. He did a test drive and came up with new terms to explain why its pulling and blamed it on the road. Three different men drove the car three different times on the main road including the technician and claimed nothing is wrong with the car. They refused to service it or even take a look at it. I told them not to drive out my gas and my mileage. They still took the car anyways and drove it around. The manager asked at first I said no then yes. He also did everything to try and keep the car on the road but still refused to service it or replace the gas in my car. As he was testing the car he was raising his voice at me saying its the road the car is pulling because of the road. I will never ever return to any Honda dealer to service or purchase a car. They are a bunch of criminals running a business.

March 2016, I received a safety recall notice from Honda advising me that the airbags in my 2008 Honda CR-V were defective and if deployed, could cause injury or death. The notice went on to say that the replacements parts to make the necessary repairs were not available and may not be available for months, but offered to provide a replacement vehicle if desired, at no cost to me.Now, since they had advised me that driving my car could result in my death, and offered free alternate transportation, I thought it would be foolish to continue to drive the car. So, I took my car to the dealer where I purchased the car from, Gillman Honda, in Schertz Texas. They had no cars available to loan, but offered to provide me with an Enterprise Rental. As there had been a major hailstorm in the Greater San Antonio area a couple of days before, Enterprise had no suitable vehicles. I was therefore advised to attempt to rent a vehicle on my own and I would be reimbursed up to $35 per day.I placed several calls and found a suitable vehicle at an Avis franchise operation. After a month, the car had to be returned in accordance with Avis policy, at which time, we rented another similar vehicle. About half a month into the second rental, I received a call from Gillman Honda telling me that they had made an agreement with Hertz to rent cars to Honda owners affected by the recall and needed alternate transportation. So, I turned in the rental car, and rented a vehicle from Hertz with Gillman Hondas approval for the remainder of the time Gillman was waiting on the necessary parts, which turned out to be in August. In all, I had 2 Hertz vehicles for about 2 months. (It is also necessary to return Hertz vehicles after a month for safety reasons.) After I received my repaired vehicle in August, I sent evidence of my out of pocket expenses (rental agreements) along with the Gillman invoice describing the repair. In September, I contacted Honda to make sure that they had received the documentation, to be told that my claim for reimbursement was denied because it couldnt be verified that I had actually paid the charges to Avis. I then sent copies of my American Express statements showing the charges and subsequent payments. I was told at that time by the case worker at Honda, that I would be reimbursed in 6 to 8 weeks. That was September 2016. After November, repeated calls have resulted in the same answer, Its under review. In December of 2016, I received a bill from Hertz saying that because Honda had not paid for the vehicle they had provided me, I was legally responsible all charges incurred. A phone call to Hertz revealed that Honda owed them MILLIONS of dollars and had not responded to repeated phone calls. It appears Honda does not intend to, or has been advised not to pay for charges incurred as a result of the Takata airbag recall. It is impossible to reach anyone other than the Its under review people who clearly cannot help. The parts are evidently available now, so you may not have to have alternate transportation for any length of time, but if you do, be careful of any financial exposure.

There is an ignition switch recall - Same make, Same model, Same year as my Honda Civic, but they will not repair my ignition switch because my VIN doesnt match the recalled VINs, even though they have the diagnostic from the Honda tech saying that it IS, in fact, faulty and needs to be changed to avoid further DYING in the middle of a busy intersection or interstate! When I contacted American Honda, they told me that it was just Coincidental and even DENIED that that was the case until I had PAPERS showing that it was from their very own technicians! Jerks.

On 03/12/2015 while travelling from Ernakulam to Kollam on official trip along with 3 other colleagues, halfway thru the right side quarter panel glass (glass pcs between back door and the dicky door) automatically shattered. When we checked with the service centres they said they have never come across such instance before and this can be claimed only under insurance. We are not ready to accept this. This should be a product defect since there was no other reason we could see. Has anybody else faced such a issue?

Steering locking up for a while then no power steering and blown fuse. Took to Honda dealer. He replaced fuse. Rode it for a while like 5 min., said it was alright. Got home, rode about 1/2 mile, it did the same. This is three weeks ago. Still no ATV to ride. Now I find out that there might be a recall on it. The dealer says he knows nothing, that it may not have a recall on this one. It is 2008 Foreman. What is wrong with this picture? The steering locked up twice. I dont know if I could put trust in Honda again after this. This is the third Honda in 12 years.

I bought a Galaxy Gray Honda Civic LX Sedan new on Memorial Day weekend in 2008. In 2014, I noticed that the paint on the roof was fading (it looked like it had been rubbed really hard in some areas and just came off). A 6-year old car with fading paint? That made no sense, so I checked and found there was a Honda bulletin issued addressing the paint issues and that they would repaint the affected areas. I took it to the dealer where I bought it, they kept it for two weeks and didnt offer me a loaner. They acted like they were doing me this huge favor by repainting it for free. They had a body shop repaint the roof, hood, and front fenders. I thought that was the end of it. Well, at about 7.5 years of age, the paint started coming off the trunk. I went back to the dealer and was told sorry, its out of warranty. We cant do anything for you. Now the car is 9 years old and the paint is coming off two of the doors as well as the trunk. Also, the rubber stripping along both sides of the windshield cracked and broke off, and the rubber trim along two of the windows has done the same. Im very disappointed. This is my third Honda Civic; I previously had an 89 and a 98 and had no problems like this. My car only has 87,000 miles on it, so it should last me at least another 9 years; its just going to look like crap unless I spend $$$ to repaint it. Why didnt Honda just repaint the entire car when they had it? The quotes Im getting to repaint the affected areas range from $1500 to $2100. I trusted Honda due to my previous experiences, but this will be my last Honda. When Consumer Reports asked me if I would buy this car again, I had to answer No. When I hear or see those Helpful SoCal Honda Dealer commercials, I turn the channel. Theyll help complete strangers with things, but they wont help their own customers! Their quality has really gone downhill and they just dont seem to care.

I have commanded other cruise bikes but the happiness and satisfaction that I got from the CB1100EX were unparalleled. The riding posture is straight up. We purchased a 2011 Honda Civic from a private owner over 4 years ago (2014). Would you believe WE JUST got the title clear and in our name??? (2018) Granted we started the process a year an a half ago when we tried to register it in a different state only to learn that Honda had some kind of hold on it. We kept getting someone from their customer service telling us they had fixed everything and would send out the title. Only to wait for weeks and never receive it. We couldnt register it until we held a title. They kept telling us they couldnt talk to us about why they couldnt release it??? WHAT? WE WERE THE OWNERS! This went on for months back and forth with a new person saying they were sending the title and going through the whole cycle again! Omgosh, so frustrating! I had to track the original owners down to help us, who had since MOVED OUT OF THE COUNTRY, and guess what? They (Honda) said that they had to be in a US OFFICE to sign some paper! We waited for them to come back for a visit to the U.S. and then thought everything was squared away, guess what? STILL DIDNT SEND THE TITLE. We ended up having to get an attorney and we used to be HUGE Honda fans.Never again will we buy a Honda. The customer service reps were always incredibly rude and disrespectful even hanging up on the original owner. Very, very, very disappointed in Honda to say the least. Customer service is a reflection of the company, I feel very strongly about that. I dont want to support a company that doesnt honor and serve their customers.

Please make sure you like the customers service from the Corporate Office. Let me give you the real tea on Honda Corporate. This place dont give a hoot nanny about customer service nor your car. I want everyone know that Ive had some great cars and however when I purchased my Acura 2014 RLX used still under Honda warranty at 47,000 and 27,000 miles. Nothing but trouble, and bigger trouble. Ive been working with the NCDS after I called the Honda Corp 3 times and couldnt get anywhere. I mean I was told I was assign a case manager by the name of Bryan and this guy call me 1 time when I called him 10 times. I also ask to speak with a manager and never got a call from, so I ask who was the district manager and I was told that was Michael and he would call me on a Monday from my call to them on Thursday and I never received his call. What a joke and at this point I give Honda customers service a Big F and the rating of the car a D-... I think they just show up to get a check and not to help people. So NCDS is helping me thank GOD only to now get a letter from Honda Corp stating that the noise is a normal sound from the car and after a Massive email went out that states they are aware that the RLX has a compressor issue that brings loud noises and its not normal. And today I received a letter from Leticia saying thats its a normal sound. What a great lie. And put the blame on Automax of ATLANTA where I purchased the car. Whatever its still under warranty. Please do your research and leave Honda alone. Some of the Honda cars may look great and some may get you to point A to point B however it a poor choice of a car... Real talk... When I purchase my car I had to go out of NC to find the RLX with the Advance package and the Kell Sound system and the nearest one what I was looking for was in Georgia outside of Atlanta. And it was called Automax of Atlanta...I purchased the car and had it delivered to my home in Charlotte and was so happy. Thats until 1 week after having the car it wouldnt start for several days. I TOOK IT TO THE ONLY ACURA DEALERSHIP WE HAVE AND THATS HENDRICK ACURA. They replace the battery under warranty and got it back and had it for 3 days and still wouldnt start some days. Took it back, they put a new starter in it under warranty and explained to them I still had some concerns and it was My AC AND HEAT noise along with loud noises from the rear end of the car. I took my car into service at least 6 times in 2 months. And the 1st time they didnt hear anything and the 3rd time they heard the noise in the ac compressor and replace the ac coolant line and told me that coolant was leaking and flowing out... Still dont hear the rear end car noise though.Got the car back and the noise was still there but not as loud. Took the car back and finally was told they can not fix it and Honda is working on it. I even have it on paper saying theres no fix and I received this letter. I hope that NCDS makes them repurchase all RLX and all Honda with compressor issue or whoever can authorize it. This just shows you arent nothing to these Honda makers.

I recently used the Honda roadside service and wanted to file a complaint. The driver was extremely unprofessional and gives Honda a negative reputation. The driver picked up my vehicle and me. He then proceeds to carry out personal errands while a customer is in the vehicle with him. This included picking up his two kids from summer school and having them sit in the front seat with me and himself and then waiting at his home for his wife to show up and look after them while I am in the tow truck. We finally left for the destination one hour and a half later. I am absolutely appalled by the lack of professionalism from the autoshop and especially from Honda for working with this shop and will be following up on this. Disgusting service from this company.

My current 2017 Ridgeline came with a toxic odor in the in-bed trunk. Every time you open the trunk, the smell comes pouring out. Anything you put in the trunk comes out smelling of the chemical. I have tried cleaning it out numerous times and even brought it to the dealership, where they tried to get rid of the smell three times. Nothing works. When I called American Honda, they stated that all of the 2017 Honda Ridgelines have the smell - the smell is from an epoxy they use to seal the trunk and there is nothing you can do to get rid of it, other than waiting for it to fade away. I went to a Honda dealer local in Jefferson City, MO on Monday, April 29th, in the evening to look at new Honda Accords. We could not come up with an agreement for $16,000 that was offered for my 2012 Accord from a local Kia car dealer. I asked for the keys to my used 2012 Accord back from the used car manager. He refused to hand the keys back over to me. At this point, I was very loud and demanded my keys back stating I could not deal with him on a new 2013 new Accord and wanted to leave. He asked me to sit down. I refused then he kept badgering me till I finally signed paperwork on a new 2013 Accord. By this time, 8:45 pm, almost an hour after the dealership already closed, I signed paperwork for a new car. I did not even drive the new car off the lot of the dealership. I slept very poorly that evening! I went to the Honda dealership as soon as they opened that morning, Tuesday April 30th, and tried my very best to explain that I felt that I was rushed/forced to buy that car that night and wanted to pay for any and all paperwork cost that was created on my behalf. The used car manager then proceeded to tell me that it was a done deal and I had already bought the new Accord keeping in mind I never even had time or a chance to drive the car. I offered $500 or whatever it took to reverse the paperwork. The manager stated all the paperwork was already turned in and I now owned the car and there was nothing I can do about it. The new car still sits at the dealer. I told them not to pre-deliver it or install any of the options that were wanted. They refused to comply so then I contacted my attorney to ask for legal help in the matter. Please note this is the 5th new car I have bought from this dealer so I have been a loyal Honda customer to Honda and the Honda dealership. Right now, I am worried about my near perfect credit score as a result from this mess. I am very angry at the high pressure sales and lack of cooperation from this dealership even when I never drove the new car and I am willing to pay for any and all inconvenience. This has been a very bad experience and I would highly recommend going to another dealership.

We have a 2010 Honda Odyssey with less than 60,000 miles on it. For the first few years, we had our servicing on the vehicle done at the local Honda dealer. After a few years spending several hours at each visit, we were told by multiple people in our small town about a local mechanic in town who is honest and fair. We switched to this mechanic to support local businesses and it is much more convenient and way less expensive. At our last check up for the car, the mechanic found a leak in the steering rack. It is quite a pricey item to fix and the mechanic stated that a car with our age/mileage should not be experiencing this issue and suggested we call Honda to see if they would do right by us. We promptly called Honda and were instructed to contact our local Honda dealer, have the car inspected and call them back. Apparently, there is a warranty extension on the steering pump (not the steering rack). When we called the dealer, we were informed that they would charge $134 to inspect the vehicle and if it was the steering pump, we would get our money back. Otherwise, it is $134 out of our pocket. As we attempted to make an appointment, the gentleman we spoke with took no information, didnt give us a time and actually laughed (this was from Joyce Honda in Denville, NJ). We called Honda customer service back and asked to have the $134 waived as we were certain that the problem was with the rack, not the pump, and since we are looking at a costly repair, we arent willing to waste an additional $134. We were told that all dealers are independently owned and the fee cant be waived. We were also told that they cant help us without having one of their independently owned dealers see the car. They also instructed us that after paying the $134, our case would go to a group who would look at our loyalty to Honda; how often we used their dealers to service our cars and how often we have bought a Honda. Our issue is this; clearly there is a faulty part here and yet Honda is not willing to fix the issue easily. We arent willing to front any cost here especially since we arent confident we are loyal customers since we have our servicing done elsewhere. This is our second and we have to say LAST Honda that we will ever own. Our local mechanic will get our business and we are confident he will fix the problem and all will be well, however, we should not have to cover the cost of a faulty part. Very wrong.

I have a new 2012 Honda Jazz Hybrid in my ownership. Overall, I am very satisfied with the car. But after the maintenance at 15,000 kilometers, the oil in the engine was replaced in one authorized Honda Israel service. After oil replacement, I just haven’t recognized my car responses. Also, the fuel consumption has increased a bit. In the service manual, it is suggested to use Honda Green Oil for all hybrid cars. The C/N is 0282P99S4LHE. Instead of this oil, they put inside C/N 0282P99G4LHE and they claimed that Honda approved this replacement. That’s the same answer I got from a local customer service agent. My request to put Green Oil wasnt successful. They told me that there is no Green Oil in stock and I have to order it 4 weeks before the next service on 30,000 kilometers. I recently received a recall notice for a new Honda SXS we purchased. The recall was for a safety issue related to the steering joint assembly. They say they will repair it free of charge. Keep in mind, upon receipt of this notice it is no longer safe to operate the vehicle until an inspection/repair is performed. Thus, rendering the vehicle unusable. The local dealer wants to charge to come pickup the unit or the owner must bring the unit to the dealer for the inspection/repair. Due to COVID-19 we decided to go with the first option. However, thats an additional $100-$150 charge from the dealer for a problem that Honda created! Asked American Honda is they would reimburse and they decided to recite the warranty which exempts them from paying for the transportation. Under normal circumstances this would be acceptable, however, due to COVID one would think they would make an exception and do the right thing for a lifelong customer. NOPE! There are simply too many choices out there when it comes to vehicles and too many other companies willing to do the right thing. Honda will never see my business again and I would recommend anyone looking for a Honda to reconsider and go with a more customer oriented organization that would be more deserving of your business.

This is in response to the gentleman who had to replace the rear brakes on his wifes Accord. There was a class action suit filed in which Honda agreed to pay. I had the same thing happened on my ‘09 model and they reimbursed me for the full amount of the repairs after I submitted the receipts. I believe it was up to $150. The payoff does not come from Honda—it must be done thru the administrator of the suit.I have just purchased my second Accord EX-L and couldnt be happier! I had the first for three years and I just picked up the second one last night. I have been very pleased with the quality of the car. I had absolutely no issues with the ‘09 model and I am hoping my luck holds out with the 2012!

The car suddenly started using 1 quart of oil every 750 miles. Then it just died in the middle of nowhere. After an expensive towing bill, the dealer replaced the spark plugs. But the car still consumes too much oil and will die out in the middle of nowhere again, so I dont drive the lemon.

In May 2008, I purchased a 2003 Honda Accord from the dealership in Leesburg, Florida. Supposedly, it had a certified inspection (I have a sticker anyway). I paid for an extended warranty on the electrical system. Within a week the TCS icon lit up on the dash. I called the said dealership and they told me to bring the car in, which I did. The warning light went off en route. I was told by a service person that they could only check into the problem when the light was on. When I had had enough and demanded they at least try to look into the problem, they informed me that the warranty had expired. I went to Pep Boys and guess what? They identified the problem without the icon being illuminated. So, I had to pay $1,800 out of pocket. I chose Pep Boys to get my business rather than the dealership. Recently, my A/C died. Simultaneously, my CD and radio stopped working and the audio unit’s lights went dark. It turns out a $1,200 part, a faulty electrical board that needs replacing. Again, I appealed to the staff at the dealership. The general manager was rude. He said they didnt have to notify me of service bulletins and that Honda was responsible for notifying me of any recalls. I have since found out that this make and model also has transmission problems, so Im just waiting for that shoe to drop. Never ever trust a company because of its word-of-mouth reputation. Honda has put out some clunkers and their Leesburg dealership - boy, I want to name names - doesnt give a damn. P.S.: I maintain my vehicle regularly and it has fewer than 62,000 miles on it.

I am having intermittent electrical and electronic issues with both of my 2017 Hondas. I use to think Honda was a smart purchase but at this point I would never buy another Honda and I will also include Acura as the electronics are likely similar. Really disappointed with these two cars, thank god I leased them. Can’t wait to send them back. The dealers seem like they are so overwhelmed with complaints they will say anything to make you go away. Well guess what? After the lease I have.

I received this notice from Honda with this warning on my 2009 Accord V6. They said the parts will be available in late Summer/Fall 2016. They have an advisory to avoid having a passenger sit in the front passengers seat until the recall repair has been performed. However, they make no mention of the drivers side airbag. I am sure the warning applies to both but they dont mention that. One, they should be honest about driving the car until it is repaired and two, they should also do it as soon as possible, and three, make arrangements for the owners to have a safe car to drive until it can be repaired.

I have a Honda CBR250R bought before 5 or 6 months and I’m in Chennai, India. Now I’ve done 6000 km in it and the engine noise is too high and before 800 km I finished regular company service, but engine is different and too high. When the sound started changing the pick up of the bike was dramatically decreased and the top speed of the bike would be 135km/hour. This is a shame.

I called them several times. The pressure on the wand built up and my husband could not get it to release. They told us to take it to a repair shop. I told them it is a safety issue, if someone was around when that pressure released, it would hurt anyone close by and I did not want to load it and haul it for that reason. It was a commercial heavy duty washer, which we thought would last longer, it is about 3 yrs. old. It is used maybe twice a month, and just for personal use at home.Needless to say it is just sitting out our way so when it blows hopefully no one will get hurt. If they do, I told Dewalt they will be responsible as they have been told and chose to do nothing about it.

When I bought my 05 Honda Accord Hybrid, I was told the hybrid battery would last to 150,000 to 200,000 miles. At 81,000, just after the warranty expired, the check engine & IMA (hybrid battery) light came on. I paid $300 for a software upgrade at the time & was assured by Honda Customer Service that they would stand by their product. Over the next couple of years, the lights came on periodically and Ive had to pay for additional software upgrades. The last time it happened, the lights came on again less than 30 days later. Now Honda is saying the battery is bad and needs to be replaced, at my expense. I have called several dealers and gotten estimates ranging from $2,700 to $5,700 (for parts only). When I purchased this car, I was told the battery would cost $2,000 or less. Now Im stuck with a car that will not pass a state safety inspection without paying several thousand dollars for a replacement battery. On top of it, the car has NEVER gotten the mileage Honda claimed it would get. In fact, it gets WORSE mileage than my last Honda Accord.
