I discussed the problem with the Cadillac District Rep and he said its as good as it gets. The Nav system is a $2400+ add-on. My advice? Dont buy a Cadillac. Their customer service stinks. I am among millions whose tax money went to a GM bailout. The company should have heavy-hitter legal action against them.

It was pricier than other cars Ive owned but Ive never once regretted this purchase. This car has taken me amazing places and has been completely dependable and reliable. I love the sleek, modern look of my Cadillac CTS. This car’s interior features are what had me sold. This car contains a beautiful leather interior with heated seats and is extremely spacious inside. Cadillac SRX 2011 - The check engine light has come on 5x in the last 2 months. Each time the dealer says it is the same code some type of transmission sensor. Had it at the dealer Thursday & light came on Saturday. Rattle in front of car & dealer said cant find anything. This is the performance collection & sometimes it shifts like it is in the performance mode when it is not. First & last experience with a Cadillac. It only has 49,000 miles & I have had more issues with this car than any other car I have owned.

Cadillac offer many models to choose from, which are Seville, Deville, Allante. The Deville has been my choice because of its traditional styling and clean lines. It also performs amazingly well. The appearance of my Cadillac is just breathtaking, I get looks of approval from people everywhere. It has a beautiful finish that has held up well even under the worst weather conditions. The upgrade options are electric windows and individual front electric seats where both riders can adjust their desired seat positions. My Cadillac also has the deepest plush carpet which is very comfortable. Also, my Cadillac Deville has a large passenger capacity where 6 people can be very comfortable riding in it. The all leather seats are so soft. A babys butt couldnt be any softer than they. Overall, my car is a joy to own.

It also has ornaments and tattoos. It has auto-pilot and TVs inside of it. Its personalization options are unlimited as are all the other cars Ive purchased. Ive upgraded the engine and the tires for a more rounded car. I recommend Cadillacs to all of my family and friends. Its price however is a bit unreasonable. Furthermore, the passenger capacity is not very good. You can only fit 2 people in the car including the driver. Id much rather have a 4 seater car than a 2 seater car. But it was an enjoyable experience.

Its no big surprise that the 3.6 liter is one of the biggest turds in the industry. Another piece of European junk passed off as an American product. Ive been an auto tech for 20 years now and it hurts my heart to see what Cadillac has become. Im not the typical retiree caddy driver either, in fact Im not even 40 yet, but Ive loved Cadillac since I can remember. My dad had a 77 Eldorado when I was a kid and I absolutely loved that car. I know people like to crap on the Northstar, but Ive found that when taken care of, theyre incredibly reliable. I bought an 02 Deville back in 2012 when my son was born. It had 48k on it, and I drove it another 40k without any engine problems at all. Then a couple weeks ago some jerk decided to run a red light and total it out. During my 4 years, the only things I did were a couple wheel bearings, window regulators, a fuel level sensor and a intermediate steering shaft. That car was dead nuts reliable and never gave me a major problem. Now I will say that the 4.6 does not like to be overheated, and it does like to leak oil at the pan gasket. In one of GMs more head up the butt engineering feats, they ran the exhaust directly under the oil pan, so theres no way to drop the pan without engine removal...Brilliant. Now I would recommend the 2000-2005 Devilles because compared to other caddys, theyre inexpensive to fix. After 2005, forget it. Youre talking $1,200 headlight assemblies, bumper removal to change a headlight, cheap peanut brittle dashboard material, a fail prone drive-by-wire throttle system and a slew of TPM issues. Id never buy one. Id also never buy any GM vehicle with the Opel 3.6 liter. Its built in hell, by Satan and his minions. The Camaro also has it...Barf. Any of the newer caddys are electrical nightmares, and theres just something about a turbo charged, 4 banger in a Cadillac that doesnt sit well with me. Cadillacs need a big old V8. I cant justify over $80,000 for a motor thats also in all GMs rental car fodder. Cadillac is no longer the cadillac old timers remember. Theyre trying to compete with BMW and Mercedes, and now theyve succeeded because their products are just as crappy. As a final thought: I loved my Cadillac to death, BUT when I couldnt find another one that was clean enough and not beat to heck, I bought a 2000 Jag XJ8 Vanden Plas with 36k on the clock. What a difference, makes my Cadillacs interior look like and old 80s Mazda. I realized then that for a $60,000 luxury car, the interior was really built like garbage. But overall I did love that car, and I was sad to see her go. I feel for all of you experiencing hatefulness and bad luck with your 3.6s. I tell anyone thinking of buying one to just forget it.

I had to take my Cadillac in because the fuel gauge would not work properly. I simply washed my xt5 and somehow it caused the door locks to not work. It cost me $575 to get it fixed. I called the corporate office seeking a refund and give Cadillac a chance to stand by their product but they refused. So, if you want to take a chance and buy a Cadillac....good luck.

I also put in a wheel cover plus it has turn signals on the rear-view mirror. Its most distinct appearance are the headlights and the body features. The Cadillac Escalade is very nice for traveling with a passenger capacity of 8 adults. I travel with my 3 adult brothers and their wives, my sister and myself and we all fit.

I purchased a 2006 Cadillac CTS November 2010. Prior to this, the vehicle was under my mothers ownership and care. She purchased the vehicle directly from the Cadillac dealership. While using the CTS I assured it received the required maintenance such as oil changes, etc. February 2015 I noticed one night the vehicle began driving a little sluggish. I decided once I got home I would call in the morning to schedule an appointment. The next day I started the car and it would not turn over. It was below zero degrees that day so I accounted the issue to the weather. A few days later when the temperatures improved, I started the vehicle again with negative results.I had the vehicle towed to the local Cadillac dealership. They conducted a diagnostic exam of the engine (taking it apart) which costs $500 just for the techs to examine it. They called advising me the timing chain jumped 5 teeth on primary gear at crankshaft and there was low pressure in cylinder #6. In other words, they told me I would require a new engine at $9000! That is the new engine price and labor costs. I said no thank you, so they put the parts back in and I had the car towed to my residence.After further investigation, I realized this issue is more common than I thought. Several Cadillacs that are a CTS and other models have experienced similar issues. When I spoke with auto technicians about the issue for a second and third opinion, they gave similar responses. One auto tech that teaches automotive at the local high school and a technical school stated there are a lot of problems with Cadillac engines, especially North Star engines. He didnt even want to get a used engine for me afraid that it would also have engine trouble eventually and waste my money. He said my year and model are commonly known to have this issue. If this is indeed a common issue, why is there not a recall or lemon law case introduced?The dealer and Cadillac Corp is refusing to fix it because they state the power train warranty is up. Of course its up around the timeframe the engines begin to fail. A guy once told me when he saw me with the car be careful because after 100,000 miles they go downhill. They dont make them and build them to last like the old schools. I chalked it up to him being bitter. His Cadillac DTS transmission had to be replaced. He sold the vehicle quickly after and now I see why. I should have listened to him and sold it then.

It has Chrome wheels, wood grain on the dash. It has a nice system, tinted windows, all leather heated seats, cd changers/regular radio. I got all the windows blacked out with tint. I put 2 12s for my system and thats was all on the upgrades. Also I got new carpet because I didnt like the color it came with. This car is very spaced. It had a huge trunk space and at the back you could fit about four people but in the front only 2 because there is only 2 seats.

Like a DeVille. For older people who still have some style. But honestly, the outside appearance isnt that different or distinctive anymore. It Looks like any other car on the road. Nice paint job and interior though. On star, leather everything, sound system, rims are offered as personalization options and Lots of paint colors and Lots of engine options, too. They all offer good legroom. With the suvs you can fit a small army in there. It has good headroom for very tall people though the 2 doors are kind of a pain to get out of the backseat.

After waiting for my Escalade for 4 months with a issue with the transmission, on the third time around picking my vehicle up the engine blew at 60000 miles 10 miles from the dealership and transmission still not fixed. Four months later vehicle was returned, after a new engine and still has transmission issues, touch screen is bad, cruise control not working and drivers assist warning on. I had to fight for a loaner for warranty work! Which was given a equinox, nowhere in comparison for 3.5 months. Was told by Cadillac was basically my problem to deal w the dealership and I could go rent a vehicle to meet my familys need of a 7 passenger vehicle but would only reimburse 42 dollars a day for a week only.I also was told by one of their customer car advisors that it was basically my problem and if they were to have the same issues she would be in the same shape. Total lie. Payment reimbursement was discussed then denied after I had to do all the grunt work to get the warranty work order and submit for which they had multiple contacts with the dealership and were well aware what was going on. Worst experience ever and will not own another Cadillac in my lifetime. Would highly not recommend buying a Cadillac. They are junk and way overpriced. Encountered multiple people with the same transmission issues along with GM has a class action lawsuit against them for the transmission problem my vehicle has/had. I got rid of it ASAP!

Fortunately, I complained to my dealer and told them I wouldn’t be back after my lease was up. The dealer intervened on my behalf with Cadillac and shockingly, they were successful where I had not been....I received a check for full reimbursement for the Continental tires I replaced the OEM Michelin tires with. According to the lady with the dealership that handles warranty issues, there should not have been an issue with Cadillac refusing my claim as there had been a Bulletin issued regarding the problem with the tires!! So...I have a decision to make....I’m happy with my dealer, but still unhappy with Cadillac! I will at least consider another Caddy, but not a slam dunk for me like it once was! I will also consider others as well! Remember when you bought a Cadillac knowing you were buying quality? Not so much anymore. One would think the manufacturer would figure that out. Regardless, I felt I should tell “the rest of the story”!

Our government should have gone after GM for allowing them to produce an engine that has leaked thousands of gallons of oil on our nations highways. This engine is an inferior design & GM should have been held responsible. This is a common problem with all GM Northstar oil leaking Engines and there was never a recall. GM never attempted to correct the oil leak problem. When it was new the sticker price on my 1996 Cadillac was approx $45,000. My 1997 Ford Explorer went for approx $23,000 & it doesnt leak a drop of oil. Shame on you General Motors!!!

Took the car in and they said it would have to be programmed, still no mention of extra charge for programming. Got the bill and the total was $447.74. Was not told the programming was extra!! $155.00 for programming. $35.00 for miscellaneous charge. We could have bought a fob off eBay for $32.00 and had it programmed for the $155.00 and been a whole lot cheaper! But since we thought Cadillac’s pricing included programming we didn’t go this route. I called the dealership the same day and vented my frustration, to no avail. On top of that they kept our old fob, which we were going to keep for the key. Not happy customers. We are in the market for a new vehicle, it will not be a Cadillac...

The radio is modern and I can use all of my wireless or Bluetooth devices with no problem. You can upgrade your truck to include many features like a better radio, side ramps and twenty four inch rims. You can also get an alarm package. I would also like to someday purchase the new Coup de Ville.

I love taking my car on road trips. Its the smoothest ride youll ever have! They have a large variety of colors, large variety of styles. Sleek, smooth, classy luxury. The backseat is huge! My family is more than comfortable and they can watch their devices comfortably with outlets back there. With cup holder too, but nothing compromises the roomy interior. Extra features make sure you are always comfortable. The seat adjustments and electronic features seem way ahead of time. I had the option for upgrades! My dashboard has really cool features, plus I can have roadside assistance if needed (which Ive not used yet). I highly recommend

Ive lovingly babied it, its literally been used only for trips as I work from home. 18 months later, the CUE is out at a cost of $1500 and something about some hub things that wear out in the front causing the car to sound like it is revving all the time. Total cost to get my barely 3 year old car with 37000 miles on it fixed? $2800. Im getting it fixed and going to trade it in on a Kia. Sorry Cadillac, my family has been GM for 4 generations, but Im done. I wish I had read the reviews on the CUEs and GMs lack of response to their failure before my purchase.

It was a decent car I brought and I pretty much like all of Cadillacs types of cars, although the one I brought broke down somehow. I am fixing it but I still am satisfied. It is one of the best cars out there. It was so shiny and new with a beige or tan color and a nice wood interior by the windows. It was just the perfect design for me. I havent gotten any upgrades yet but I could possibly upgrade the car or personalize it but I am satisfied with the upgrade options. I am happy about how much room the car offers wherein I could fit all three of my children in the car with a guest in the passengers seat without any worries.

They had everything from Ford to Buicks to BMWs. I ended up with the Cadillac CTS. They have different varieties of Caddys but the CTS was the one that was perfect for our family. It can seat up to five people which is a perfect capacity for my husband, my 3 kids and myself. It may look small from the outside but once inside it is huge. Even the trunk is huge. It has heated leather seats, a huge truck, adjustable car seats, satellite radio and even OnStar already available. Even down to the headlights, this car just screams beauty & class. Its not just the outside but the inside too. The beautiful leather interior, the sunroof, even the dashboard was just brilliant. The car started emitting smoke and the hood went in complete flames. Thank god we came out of the car on time and the FIRE DEPARTMENT broke the hood and put out the fire. We were told that the damage even got to the gas line since gas was leaking and the brakes also stopped working. If the fire wouldn’t have been put out in 2-3 minutes we would’ve all exploded and many tourists (innocent bystanders) would have died. Mechanics are saying that the cause was because of FAULTY manufacturing inside of the hood.The Cadillac dealership washed their hands and don’t want to accept responsibility. NOBODY WANTS TO TOUCH THE CAR and I don’t have comprehensive insurance so they are useless. My car is considered total loss even though it wasn’t my fault, I was sold a faulty car. Cadillac of Greenwich promised to honor my warranty till 100,000 miles and it was “luxury” which was a lie, I have it all on text messages. The guy RAJ pressured me into trading my old ATS and telling me the New car was luxury and it wasn’t. I confronted him after I found out (a week of having the car) and all he said “oh sorry I thought it was luxury.” Since first day of driving off the lot, I’ve been having issues with the car, I went MORE than 5 times back to the dealership to fix many issues especially something with engine and transmission because the car was jerking. They “tried” to fix it but said that there’s nothing they could do.They were pressuring me so much to buy the car because it seems like they wanted to get rid of it. I called Cadillac customer service and they are just delaying everything. I’m hiring a lawyer and to sue them. I suffered loss and I almost died!!!! I have proof please contact me for more info. I have spent the last year trying to get the engine light on my car corrected. To date Ive had the o2 sensor, timing solenoid, spark plugs, and ignition coils replaced. None of this solved the problem.On Monday 9/28/15 I took my car back into the dealership one more time for an oil change and diagnostic. This time they finally tell me that the timing chain needs to be replaced and that its going to cost me $2500. Disappointed and angry for being lied to for so long, I took it to another mechanic for a second opinion. This is when I learned that a recall was issued for the timing chain in 2014 and I was not notified. This is also when I learn that the recall is void when the car reaches 120000 miles. My car is now at 123000 and the dealership refuses to honor the recall.I was also told that I was not contacted about the warranty because since it isnt a safety recall, consumers were only made aware of the recall if their call showed signs of timing chain problems. In other words, Cadillac and Rancho Motors dont respect their customers. They knew in 2014 what was wrong with my car. There is no way they couldnt. Now my car is unsafe to drive and the timing chain and snap at any moment.

The car looked immaculate and had every option known to man so I tried to block out all that I had previously heard/read about maintenance problems with Cadillacs.On the first day of ownership, I noticed the coolant reservoir was dry so I filled it up. That quickly became a ritual. I now understand why reviews I read said their SRX spent more time in the shop than out. Within six months, Ive had to replace the power steering pump, alternator, battery, headlight, radiator, thermostat, brake pads, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold and emergency brake. As if all that wasnt bad enough, it was confirmed today that Ill need a head gasket or a another engine (which in some cases is cheaper). All this within 2,000 miles of driving!Well its game over for me. Ill take whatever I can get for this dog and NEVER buy a GM vehicle again. Bailing out GM was the last thing the government shouldve done! They dont care about their customers! And to think, my last car was a Mazda 3 that I drove for 10 years with $670 in total out-of-pocket maintenance costs. NEVER AGAIN...

Pretty much power everything - almost too much power I had to turn some of the stuff off such as the seat that moves back when you shut off the ignition. Picked up rugged ridge floor mats, upgrade the speakers which sucked and put on a hood protector. Do yourself a favor and get the fuses which light up when they go bad. Saves a lot of hunting around for the problem. Will fit 5 people in comfort for hundreds of miles at a time and also tow whatever you need to take to the countryside - truck is the best at doing this. Best truck I ever had.

I’ve been reading these complaint issues, and as much as feel for the people writing them, my car has been running perfectly. I’ve replaced the HUD light as soon as I bought knowing it needed. Later, I replaced the AC Fan motor with an OEM unit and a new battery again OEM just recently as the vehicle had remained in a car storage unit for a year here in Ft. Lauderdale.The car does have a vibration between 64 and 72 MPH and seems to perform best at 80 MPH including best MPG. I love my Cadillac and maintain it to like new showroom condition. I need to replace the turn signal flasher at the moment, but just consumable items. I also noticed the relay for the starter is somewhat discolored due to heat and will replace it before anything happens.

I have read numerous things about this car shutting off, starting on fire, extensive repairs OMG! It is currently under recall for an ignition switch that just shuts off, this disables, brakes, steering, oh yeah and the air bags! Great! Visited two different GM dealerships who showed no concern or offered anything but expensive diagnostic fees. Never mind that I might not love looking enough to make the appointment in the defective POS that Ive just saddled myself with! The car only has 56k miles on it. I paid 15 grand for it and have a large monthly payment. I own an import (German) with 157000 miles it and it runs like a top and I own it. Guess which car I drive! Thank you Audi for being everything GM is not. My advice finance companies and banks should stop providing financing for this entire GM line since once you are Dumb enough to own one you cant give it away. If no one can finance one people would still getting ripped off and maybe GM would start to build a quality product and back it! And the finance companies and banks would stop going out with a repo company and picking them up. That is where mine will end up going. No one can offer a solution on what is wrong! So it can sit and rot until they come get it and my credit will suck and the bank will lose money. In the end, the crooks at GM got paid so what do they care! Listen up banks - avoid GM car financing like the plague, especially the Cadillac CTS!

Cadillac may used to be Luxury and Client appreciation but not anymore. I would highly recommend another dealer who if there are any issues they will be there to help not push you aside.

We purchased a 2014 Cadillac SRX and have been very delighted with its ride, performance and overall comfort. One year after we purchased it our rear power liftgate stopped working. I looked online for an answer to this issue and was very disappointed to see that the issue is an ongoing problem with MY 2010-2015 SRXs. I also discovered this issue is far more serious. Apparently there are drain tubes along the top on both sides inside the car. These tubes clog and cause water to instead run off back into the car soaking the front carpets, rear carpets and more importantly the control module for the rear power hatch which is located in the spare tire compartment. It was easy enough to open the rear hatch manually and also get to the module I understand, I can replace this, however the most disappointing issue overall is that Cadillac is aware of this issue from numerous complaints previously but refuses to step up and both recall and repair this issue. No wonder Cadillac has an overall satisfaction rating of 2 Stars. I would be very interested in joining a class action lawsuit with other SRX owners to force GM to fix this and cover all costs. It could be like the strut issue they are being sued for and someone may have to die before they decide to spend the money to do so! A month ago the tailgate started coming down on my girlfriend who was reaching in the back for something. Had she not noticed and got out of the path of the door this could have turned out a much worse story. I now realize this was the beginning of the circuit board deterioration as it quit just a month or so later. This issue obviously also hurts any resale value we had which was also an important part of our decision in purchasing the SRX. Anyone reading this that may have any info on a possible lawsuit please feel free to advise us so we may jump in. I am beginning to understand why American products are losing to our foreign competition. GM, the right thing to do is to step up for the Americans that you are supposed to represent and that put you on the map to start with, so admit this default, recall and repair this issue for us all at your expense and let us get on with our lives. Otherwise, I will never purchase another GM product again!

The brakes need to be pumped quickly to get any pressure to stop the vehicle. I have 2 SRXs, a 2010 and a 2012, both have exhibited the same problem intermittently. Took both vehicles to St. Claire Cadillac in Santa Clara, California and they cannot find anything wrong with the vehicles. Diagnostics and brake system examination shows no failure. In my 2012 SRX I rear ended another vehicle due to the brake failure. There are multiple failures reported on the web for this same issue, when will Cadillac/GM acknowledge this safety issue? If there are other unsatisfied customers who have experienced the same problem perhaps we can file a class action suit.

In February 2018, just 6 months later, I was on my way out of town. I pulled out from a stoplight, accelerated to 45 and all heck broke loose. I heard a bang and felt like I had run over something. Every light on the instrument panel turned on, I lost power steering, brakes, and the engine was knocking. I managed to steer it to a median where it completely died on me. I called OnStar, got it towed to the dealership, and waited to hear what was wrong. Four days later, I am told that it dropped a valve and I would need a whole new engine. It only has 54,000 miles!!! Is this the kind of shotty product that Cadillac is putting out now? I am beyond frustrated! If it wasnt for the additional warranty that I purchased, I would be without a car because I couldnt afford the cost of a new engine. I do not understand how a company that is supposed to have this great reputation is now putting out vehicles of such poor quality. The customer service with Cadillac is awful as well. You cant get anyone to answer a question in a straightforward way. This was my first and last Cadillac. I love the car, but I cannot have this stress or an unreliable vehicle transporting my family.

I heard a little ticking sound coming from the driver side part of the engine and had it looked at. The maintenance tech said it might have just needed an oil change so I had him do it. Which of course did not stop the problem. So I had spoke to a couple of friends and family members to ask them what they thought and of course no one really knew. I kept up on the oil changes and always checked my fluids since I drove this car a lot back and forth between my home and Columbus and the car never gave me a problem just had a light ticking sound. Well needless to say August 20th 2013 I was heading back to Columbus and my engine gave up and was done. It blew up at my half way point to Columbus so I had my car towed to Germain Cadillac and paid $260.00 in a tow fee and asked them to look at it while I called GM. I waited a month just to find out my car was not going to be covered even though my warranty ran out of time not mileage and now they are wanting $200.00 for the inspection they did. GM is saying that there was burnt oil and that my car threw a rod and a bearing through the block. I still owe on the car and have not had it long enough to have these kind of problems with it. This is crazy. I showed them where the car had maintenance done on it every time I traveled and that the oil was changed every 6,000 to 7,000 miles. I am now looking to go forward with a class action Lawsuit.

I love all of the luxury features such as automatic high beams, memory seats, remote start, and XM radio. I had a roomy trunk and quiet interior. It gets between 21 and 23 mpg pretty consistently on regular unleaded.What I dont like about it is how often it needs repairs. Around 70,000 miles, I had to have the entire front suspension system essentially rebuilt, as tie rods, ball joints, and struts were worn out. I developed several oil leaks, and I have stopped trying to get those fixed. Changing front turn signal bulbs and headlights requires the front bumper be removed. Parts seem expensive. I plan to keep it for another couple of years. I doubt that I will be replacing it with another Cadillac.

A few days later I noticed that my Stability Control sensor repeatedly appeared on my dash, warning me of an issue. After doing my research online in regard to the issue, I noticed that this is a constant pattern for the 2004 SRX and many thousands of owners have complained with no resolution. This is a driving hazard because the car veers out of control and the breaks lock up at speeds over 50 mph.The forum discussion also mentioned a family that was killed as a result of this issue. They also mentioned numerous accidents and near accidents as well. I also know that GM is aware of this issue because they monitor the forum site and have responded with canny and inconsiderate responses to some of the comments made. The sad thing is that this vehicle has never been recalled for this issue.Essentially, I am not blaming the car dealership in regard to this issue. However, I am holding GM responsible for not correcting this highly dangerous defect years ago. I am surprised that this car is still on the road after reading all the horror stories. Thank you for your time and I hope this can be resolved before another innocent person is killed behind a companys irresponsible behavior.

The second regulator ($319.23) failed in 2012 - different dealership service advisor said known problem for the vehicle. In 2012 I emailed Cadillac to see if they would cover these repairs. Escalated in GM several levels but ultimately they denied there was a problem - the parts not defective, the failure because they were beyond expected life cycle. Today the third regulator failed. This vehicle has 51000 miles and the rear windows were rarely used if ever. I have 3 other GM vehicles (92 Cadillac Allante, 1994 Saturn, 1998 Cad Deville) - no regulator problems.

I drove it for about a couple weeks to have the display QUEUE system to go completely black where the radio, navigation, heat and everything couldnt be accessed and my Liftgate trunk could not open!! Carmax was very helpful to reach out to Thornton Chevrolet in getting it taken care of which I had to wait awhile due to the Radio was on back order!! My frustration is that I was told that the Cadillacs sunroofs drainage tubes are draining in the area where the Liftgate module is housed causing the motherboard to burn up or fry once the water hit it!! I feel this should be a recall and have reached out to GM with no solution being its fried again and wont open with a musty damp smell!! I am allergic to mold and have respiratory issues and I pray this situation doesnt cause a flare!! All they quoted me is a price to reseal and change the Liftgate Module out again with no guarantee that it wont happen again and Im approaching the end of my warranty!!! I feel so sad and lost because I love my SRX. Just wish they could call a recall on these issues because theres so many negative reviews about these issues!! Last it wouldve been no different had I bought this vehicle from Cadillac vs Carmax so dont say this again please, yall made the dern vehicle!!!

The XT4 is a great car. I bought my 2019 just recently and took a shake down trip to Dallas from Houston to see if there were any kinks in the car. It performed splendidly on the trip. I drove it 80 to 85 mph and it felt smooth and powerful. The only thing that happened and the reason for the low review score was that the car tried to kill me. I got some open road and floored the accelerator and to my surprise the pedal stuck to the floor. The turbo had kicked in and I was flying down the road. I shifted into neutral but the engine was revved all the way. Luckily I was able to take the side of my foot and manipulated the pedal back up to where its starting position. I said it must be a fluke so I did it again and I had the same outcome and same fix. I road on back into Houston with no other issues but I also wasnt going to floor the car again till I could look at the problem in day light. The next morning I found that the mud mats that came with the car was not installed in the two plastic holders and I initially thought the car was I had taken the car to had not popped them in properly but I discovered that Cadillac had left the carpeted floor mat in place under the mud mat. I didnt even know there was a mat under there. There is no way to get 2 mats to pop onto the two plastic holders so it was really Cadillac (the dealers) fault. This is a warning to anyone who has those hard mud mats to make sure they cant slide forward and interfere with the accelerator it could be disastrous.

Now water damage has shorted out, ruined fuel injection, plus whatever is controlled by module under front seat... GM knew the sunroof failure was a possibility but did not send any warning to customer so the roof could be checked occasionally. This failure of roof hoses, which Cadillac knew was possible has cost me, up to 6/24/17, over $3000. The dealer should have checked all areas that could have water damage the first time the car was in for sunroof repair. Anyway, I feel GM has mislead or failed to inform the SRX owners about a HUGE possible problem. WARNING TO CADILLAC OWNERS WITH SUNROOFS... CHECK FOR LEAKS OR CHANCE THE SERIOUS DAMAGE CAUSED BY WATER SILENTLY ENTERING YOUR CAR.

If youre in the market for a luxury vehicle without the luxury price tag, Cadillac is the car for you. The Cadillac I purchased came with all the bells and whistles. Theres an out of this world sound system that will blow you away. They have automatic heated seats for your comfort. I was able to upgrade to the features I wanted without a hefty price tag. The sound system and navigation have to be the best in any automobile. Upgrading to automatic everything was well worth it. Since we purchased a Sedan we did miss out on the extra room an SUV would afford. However since were a family of four and the room is just enough to be comfortable.

Long story short, it took over 30 days of it being in the shop to then finally get the rear differential replaced. I did online research and found some 1000 rear differential were faulty. The guy at the service department really didnt care. GM never recalled or made it public even after they knew. Then the horrible Pirelli tires started losing air pressure. Had 2 of them replaced, fast forward 1 1/2 years, I just replaced 3 of them replaced. The cherry on top is now the AC doesnt function properly.I have taken the car in several times and after several attempts they only replaced the compressor. The issue is still there and they are telling me theres nothing they can do. I am in Florida and cant afford a car without AC which cost well over 50k. Bottom line it has been issue after issue. I have gotten to the point where I want to trade it in and get a different brand. To GM: you really dropped the ball on the quality of parts you assemble Cadillac with.

It has intelligent beam headlights and has some great features. It also has a phenomenal audio system and I upgraded to deluxe CD player system. I bought the last model year in 2011 and loved the 3.6 L V-6 engine. It has heated seats, heated steering wheel, easy to use cruise control, heated mirrors, rear seats which fold down, and the center armrest has a pass thru. It makes it easy to put fishing poles and/or skis in the trunk. The interior is roomy. It can easily accommodate five adult passengers or six if some are children. Theres enough legroom in the back so that no ones knees are hitting the back of the front seat, even when the driver has the seat back.

Everywhere I went people gave me compliments (I had to swag it out a bit :) ). I loved the way this car looked - it definitely stands out from the rest. However, this car was a love hate relationship - starting from the 1st week. The car spent more time in repair shop than I actually drove it. Im a bit smarter now. Purchasing a car close to 100k is a bad idea. You just might as well buy a newer car. The repairs went into the thousands easily. Everything was breaking down and needed to be replaced. I was afraid to even drive the car after while, because the car can just shut down if there is a problem (youre unaware of)/I wouldve like some type of warning sign. Long story short - I ended up parking the car for a while until I was able to buy a new car (foreign). I still love they way they look but I would never buy one again. These cars are all over Craigslist now for pretty cheap which should tell you a lot.

Brought the car under warranty still to the dealer who recognize that the screen is freeze (not working) in the lower center part of the screen and they said it might take 3 weeks to get the part... its 2 month later without any answers and specific date for the part to show up?! I contact GM customer service and end up with nothing but same words and promises like the dealer. Im driving without navigation for 2 month already and who knows how long until this part will show up. My car is 2013 SRX with 50k mileage (been at the dealer before the warranty expire for that issue). Im in the point where Im looking for a new car as I usually does every 3 years and if for a minute I was considering Cadillac then after that hell NO. My cue screen quit working at 61k miles. Just over factory warranty. Dealership told me it would be at least 1200.00 to fix it, I opted to go without. Fast forward 6 months. My front left tire will not hold air, its a brand new tire. Come to find out, my rim has corroded and will not seal to the tire. Eventually, this happened with all 4 tires. Meanwhile, my cue screen has started cracking on the inside. I dont even use the cue module because it doesnt work. Dealership said it cracked because of the heat. I end up with a flat tire at end of my driveway, I go to change it, no spare, no donut. Just a can of fix a flat type stuff. I call dealership, they tell me to call roadside assistance. Seriously? I find out from the internet that I can order the cue replacement screen on Amazon for 80 bucks. I did. Then I took it to a local mechanic and had them install it for me. Cost me 130 bucks to have it installed. Beats the hell out of the minimum of 1200 for Cadillac. They try telling you the whole unit needs replaced. They take it, slap a new screen on it and sell it as refurbished. Crooks! So after buying new rims and an aftermarket screen and dealing with a hard shifting car, Im at 91k miles at this point, I get in my car to leave work and the ac stopped working. Took it to my fave local mechanic. He tries to fix it but apparently it is a sensor that has to be fixed by a gm dealer so it can be reprogrammed. Of course it does! To sum it all up, the Cadillac looks nice, the electronics quality is definitely lacking, and Cadillac does not stand behind their product. I will never buy another gm product again. My money will go back to Nissan.

When it was delivered the paint was messed up and it took so long to repair I made my first payment before I received the vehicle (paint still not perfect). It was so bad a cadillac rep had to come view it. My car since day one has occasionally shook when being crunk. The check engine light would immediately pop on, but when car was restarted it would go away. I was told several times by the dealership that they could only fix it if the check engine light stayed on.There were other issues as well, We were told by the General Manager not to worry. Cadillac would do a buyback and gives us 10% off of msrp of a new Cadillac. The dealership has since closed, getting Cadillac to do the right thing seems to be a nightmare! We have been dedicated Cadillac owners and never had a prior issue, this is extremely disappointing!

Its luxurious. The seats are really to the point to where you can fall asleep. It also has seat warmers so when its cold out your back will be warm. It also has a Bose radio so sound is really good. It has a large trunk and great for carrying Christmas trees. The color is a warm beige and has gloss on it. However, the headrests dont hit me right. My head hits the metal part. Also, the air conditioner has broken down already.

When I narrowed it down a bit, I still had trouble deciding other features of the car which were also varying. I got a sleek, classy DeVille in a dark blue color that isnt too flashy but still retains the prestige of a cadillac. It has a tan leather interior with heated seats as well as settings that can stored for up to 2 drivers. Its passenger capacity is up to 5 people with a driver, passenger seat, and 3 people in the back, although it might be a bit of tight squeeze, but that has not been an issue. The actual specs and parts of the car were not really a great concern of mine considering I wanted to keep the car the way it is for a while.

As soon as I drove it off from the parking lot I was able to hear the annoying noise.Before I was able to get my car back, I told the service staff I will come back at seven, but she already left with other staffs by the time I called at 6:30. I was able to find a sales staff and he told me to come back in the morning but I already drove an hour. He found a key later on and I was able to get my car back after begging three twice. This car is rife with rattles, poor fit and finish, low quality materials, the failure that is CUE, clouding headlamps (at 4000 miles), constant headlight malfunction warnings, misfitting panels, steering that seems to have a mind of its own often failing to turn with input or causing the wheel to jerk without input. This is the sorriest excuse for a luxury automobile ever and explains why Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Volvo, Jaguar, and other traditional luxury brand owners will never cross shop a Cadillac.

I looked them up on the computer technical description system too lean (bank2) po171 & po174. Very similar auto zone description, said too much oxygen in exhaust so I change two O2 upstream sensor light, still on then po174 mean mass air sensor light still coming on & off. I had the dealer here in Merrillville in. They had my car all day and told me I needed to replace all 6 injector $2500. I told them to close my hood and I was picking my car up. I do all my work myself so everyone having check engine light I started to check myself. The problem was replace. The evaporative emissions purge control valve price $ 41.47 when I installed the light went out. That valve will make your car run bad, make your trans shift funny on my car. The purge valve is right behind the throttle body. I hope this will help someone having check engine. If someone need help email me. PS I purchase my SRX new in Aug 2011. I only got 65000 miles and I service my car regular and the dealer said I needed new injector. I knew that was a lie. The dealer are out to rip you off.

2003 Cadillac CTS - The plastic covering fell off without my knowledge, I didnt know when or where. When inquiring about repair at the dealer, I was told it would cost $900.00. I know this is a widespread problem especially with the older Cadillac CTS, as I have read other complaints and been told by mechanics this is a design flaw. We presently own 2 Cadillacs and have purchased 5 within the last 10 years. As a loyal GM customer for 20 years, we are dissatisfied that there does not seem to be a practical solution to this seemingly widespread problem for CTS owners, other than replacing part of the trunk. Why cant GM or my dealer (Labadie) make the plastic covering available so anybody can just glue it back in position? Its not rocket science, its just a piece of plastic that was glued on.

I got my 2013 Cadillac SRX back in March and have put several miles on it since I got it. I am at almost 54,000 miles now. Started hearing a weird sound and found out that it was my left rear wheel bearing. My warranty ran out at 50,000 so the dealership would not fix at no cost. Took it to my local garage and they fixed it at the tune of $350.00. I have never had a wheel bearing go out on any of my past cars. It is just disappointing that a car with this few miles would have an issue like this. I asked the guy at the garage what made this happen and he said usually it is from age, but that a car that is only a few years old should not have this issue. Said it was probably a defect in the bearing. If that is the case I believe that Cadillac should have repaired it at no cost to me. Love my Cadillac. It is just disappointing after only having this car for a few months. I hope other 2013 Cadillac SRX owners dont have the same problem.

Weve owned 3 CTSs in the last 10 years. Why so many? Well, we like to change for the sake of change. And in between noir Cads weve had Lexus, M-B, and BMW. THEY ALL HAVE THEIR PLUSES AND MINUSES. Its personal choice, but our used CTS was affordable to buy and is affordable to own (have you ever replaced brakes or suspension in a Beemer?). It seats 5, although rear seating can be cramped for long legs. Features are nicely appointed, and the body is good, with good trunk space. Our 13 has sunroof with electric retracting shade; good enough for even hot Arizona days. Never had even a pickup with our 3.0 V-6, which provides more power than needed for everything except burnouts!

I was a proud owner of a Cadillac SRX until I had to pay to repair a manufacturer flaw in the transmission. I know that Cadillac is aware of the problem because they made a part to fix it, but thought so little of their customers. They left us the bill to fix it. I will not purchase another car from a company that will leave their mistakes for customers to pay for. I feel I am owed a refund for the repair. Its Cadillacs responsibility to sell a car without defects.

I find them to be beautiful, functional cars with good looks and good usage. The interior is comfortable and the exterior is nice to look at. Also, its hold 5 people comfortably. In the past other cars I have had have struggled to fit my friends inside, but the Cadillac is awesome. It also makes me feel good to look at it and looks definitely play a role in my purchasing. They have lots of upgrades available, lots of personalization options. I was very pleased with the cup holder and stereo. Overall I was very impressed.
