Product Reviews:
I bought a car from our agency in Dubai Liberty. They sell GM Motors cars. I bought a Cadillac CTS 2011 V6. In the beginning, the car is great and without any problem. It’s the best car I ever drove in my life and I gave it as a gift for my wife. She was more than happy to have a CTS. She drove it till the first service. We took it to the service in Dubai (Garhood branch). After the service by 3 weeks, we were coming from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and driving at normal speed of 130 km/h, then suddenly the we heard a bomb sound and a smoke coming from the engine. Thank God we stopped and no one crashed us from back. The street was full of oil from the damaged engine. We called the street help and then we took the car to the service at Garhood branch in Dubai. And after a day they called us and said, “Sorry, the engine is damaged. We will send an approval to GM mother company to change the engine. But we don’t want to repair it because it wasn’t our mistake.” The car must be changed and they ignored me. Kindly support me in this.Budoor of Dubai, Other

I purchased my SRX 1.5 years ago with 49,000 miles on it. I also purchased a 10 year/ 100,000 mile extended warranty. This car I knew I would have a long time as it had low miles, good car fax, and the extended warranty. The transfer case rear out put shaft seal went out. I was told that I was placed on a national back order list and they did not know when I would get the part, that was 5 months ago. I then called corporate in September to see what they could do.I received a call back from corporate yesterday stating that they no longer make the part and that I am out of luck. I asked if they would cut me a break on trading mine in for a newer one and they stated no and that there was nothing they could do for. I need help!! I have a car payment that I pay every month for this car and cannot even get it fixed. I work every day and have 5 children that I support. What the heck am I suppose to do?! I've called dismantlers, authorized dealers, regular dealers, searched the net (all placed orders canceled) all over a $15 seal.Ashley of Rio Linda, CA

For a top end luxury car, this vehicle had numerous problems, including drivetrain, cosmetics, and more. Additionally, value decreased rapidly. A positive, Cadillac did repair everything, no questions asked, while under warranty.Michael of Parkton, NC

I bought a 2007 Cadillac CTS in January 2013. It was a one owner garage kept gem. I thought. It wasn't a few months later that we had it in the shop for a catalytic converter replacement. With only 55,000 miles on it! Then we discovered that the trunk was full of water below the spare tire! What the heck? This is a Cadillac! Not an economy car! My family has had Cadillacs for generations and never had any problems. I thought it may just be my luck but when I went online I found out that I wasn't alone. Cadillac is losing a lot of customers and I'm one. Today we took it to the shop to have a flickering headlight checked and we were told it would cost over $500 to have it fixed! This isn't the Cadillac I grew up around and I PROMISE it's getting traded off soon and I'll NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER GM PRODUCT AGAIN. DISGUSTING!Jeffery of Nacogdoches, TX

The Cadillac de Ville has a quiet motor sound while riding, it’s the best. I added snow tires and upgraded the seat covers to protect my leather. I also put in a wheel cover plus it has turn signals on the rear-view mirror. Its most distinct appearance are the headlights and the body features. The Cadillac Escalade is very nice for traveling with a passenger capacity of 8 adults. I travel with my 3 adult brothers and their wives, my sister and myself and we all fit.Susan of Greenwood, IN

I am a owner of a 2012 Cadillac SRX. My husband and I had started to notice our low beam lights getting dim to the point that driving at night is next to impossible without the high beams and we were trying to figure out how to come up with the money to get our vehicle’s lights repaired thinking it was just something that happened over time. Recently 02/24/20 we received a letter in the mail that GM was offering to reimburse customers up to 800.00 per headlight who had spent money out of pocket to get the issue corrected. Well my first thought was great we don’t have to worry about how we are going come up with the money because GM is acknowledging that this is an issue on their end and we could just take our vehicle to the dealership show them the letter and they would fix our lights. WRONG! When I called the dealership we were told GM would NOT pay upfront for our repairs although they are AWARE of the issues with the SRX’s headlights. They are only willing to reimburse after repairs are done which could cost the customer up to 1,600.00. So my question next was what if the customer cannot afford the expense upfront? GM’s answer was, "SORRY WE CANNOT HELP YOU...."I cannot explain how taken advantage of I felt, Shame on you GM. You acknowledge upfront the problem is moisture related issues causing headlights that you placed in these vehicle to fail but you will only reimburse those who can afford to have them fixed first on their own if then.... During research I read reviews where some people have been waiting months to get their money back. I am not sure what is going to happen in my case but for anyone reading this review please beware. It is unacceptable how GM treats its customers and their their regard for customer safety. I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from them!Tereasa of Burlington, NC

I purchased a 2015 SRX with $13,000 miles on it. Within the last six months, the CUE screen won't work on the bottom, the wiper fluid motor stopped working, had to replace a fuel injector and just yesterday the motor on my right passenger side window went out. I drove to work in the pouring rain with my window partially down. I have had several vehicles in my lifetime, but this is by far THE WORST! These cars are not cheap but they sure have all kinds of things go wrong with them. I will NEVER buy another Cadillac!LeAnn of New Market, TN

There are many variations of Cadillac and all of them are premier cars. They are very comfortable to ride in. The car that we own is bright red and it has several added options such as heated seats in the front and the back, a heated steering wheel and back-up sensors. It has a sun roof and a CD player. It has the ability to save the settings for the seat and the pedals for up to two people. Also it has push button start. It has a large interior and has room for two people in the front and three people in the backseat with enough room to be comfortable.Rhonda of Des Moines, IA

I have a 2011, CTS, premium edition. At 30,000 miles, I had to have timing chains replaced! Never heard of a timing chain(s) going out that fast! Date of replacement was 10/7/2016. Glad I had purchased an extended warranty!! Over $1200.00 for the work!! And yes, it is a 3.6 engine. Acted like the battery was low for quite a while before I took it in for repair. As I had a new battery, I thought it was starter trouble. Overall, the car is very dependable, I have had it for three + years now. First repair done.john of Marrero, LA

We leased a Cadillac CTS V Sport in October of 2017. 42 month lease with available miles of 53K. We now have 11 months left on the lease. For the past 7 months the car has been in the service department 190 Days. That's 6.2 months. It started out with somewhat minor issues. In April 24 thru May 3 of 2019 with 6449 miles on it (we had planned on buying the lease out so tried to keep the miles low) the Cue system needed replaced, all 4 tires needed replaced because of an alignment issue, rear tail assembly needed replaced, Internal failure of rear body structure stop lamp replaced. Then on November 25 2019 with 11629 miles it went back into the service department. Car needed a whole new engine, new turbo, fuel injectors plus so much more. Car just stopped. It was in the service dept for 68 days. Got it back January 31 2020. Went back into the shop February 24 2020 for 11 more days. Air conditioner went out of it. Got the car back March 5. On March 16th back into the shop for 75 more days. Had to rework the whole engine, replace both turbos this time plus so much more. Got the car back May 29 2020. Car went back into service June 5 2020 and is still there 20 days later. Needs 2 new tires and a new steering box because it's showing aligned but it is shredding the tires. We have had a case open with Cadillac for quite some time. Asked them to take the car back in November 2019 when it needed a new engine. They said no. Asked again in March 2020 when it need the new engine reworked for 75 days. They said no. The car has now been in the service dept for 190 days in the last 7 months. We have had to continue making our monthly lease payments even though we have not had the car. We have 11 months left on the lease. Cadillac as of yesterday June 23 2020 still says we have to keep paying on the lease. They won't take the car back. Even though it obviously is a LEMON!Fair warning. DO NOT BUY CADILLAC. THEIR QUALITY IS TERRIBLE AND THEY WON'T BACK THEIR PRODUCT! I have every invoice showing the repairs needed on a car that had 11600 miles on it. I would be happy to supply them. NEVER AGAIN! It's obvious by their actions that they do not care about anyone as a customer. They will milk us for the rest on this lease and then they will resale the car to someone when the car will have no warranty. They just care about the money!Brad of Dickinson, TX
