Acura is the luxury and performance division of Honda Motor Company. The brand was launched in the United States and Canada on March 27, 1986, marketing luxury and performance automobiles.

The 2020 Acura MDX doesn't draw much attention on the street, but this three-row crossover is surprisingly fleet-footed. With seating for up to seven and the ability to tow up to 5000 pounds, the 2020 MDX is more than capable of ferrying families on whatever adventure they choose. While the third row is small for adults and the dual-touchscreen infotainment system can be frustrating to use, the Acura SUV has comfortable seats and desirable luxury features. It also comes with either a dutiful V-6 engine or an optional high-tech hybrid powertrain in the Sport Hybrid model. Both versions supplement the MDX's fun-to-drive character, but the Sport Hybrid is particularly refined and speedy. Although it's not as stylish or as sophisticated as the best crossovers and SUVs in its class, the Acura MDX is a unique and engaging alternative.

Product Reviews:

I loved the car and I was very happy with the interior. The stereo sounded great and the seats were comfortable. My two kids are comfortable enough in the backseat with all of their accessories. Three people could also sit back there. The trunk is roomy enough as well. However, anytime I go to buy a car from Acura the colors available are very limited. I'm not patient so I drive away with a bland color. Every time I tell myself going in that in nor selling for less than I want but I always do. My car also came with the basics, but I could have paid extra to get a remote starter and an alarm system.

After doing a lot of research and test-driving Lexus, Mercedes, Subaru, Nissan and others, I finally bought an Acura-RDX and realized immediately after buying the car that the famous Honda Company/Acura suppressed the fact that this RDX didn't have trunk/hatch release key inside the car. Unless I go near the car with key in-hand and open the trunk door. I called Acura customer service and a guy told that "Don't worry. We know that. Next year models will have the trunk release key inside the car. We can't do anything for you" and he hung up. I was totally disappointed with this elusive answer. Why Honda deliberately suppressed this fact? Deceiving the customer is not good at all. I never buy any Honda car or Acura car. Though expensive, I should have bought Lexus SUV with better options than Acura RDX or MDX.

Please be accurate with my statement? Absolutely. I purchased a 2005 Acura Rl, 4 recalls, the FAKE leather after 3 years had peeled and separated on the seats, arm rests on a $45,000 vehicle! The plastic door handles have broken causing for the whole door rest to be required to be replaced just to fix the handles. The cd radio hasn't worked since 2006. I also have a 2009 Acura rdx which also the radio doesn't work, just laughable $35,000 vehicle. You hear everything going on inside and outside of it, from screws to air. You hear it all. I'm so done with Acura. My feelings were already hurt when they took the Legend name plate away in the USA. I am so, so disappointed and Lexus will be my new friend.

The ILX is a nice small car with good electronic features. The TL, TLX and many other Acura models have very nice exterior and interior designs and it isn't too small or too big and has nice seats that aren't easily damaged. The cars work very well and have great helping technology. The upgrade options are very good just a little pricey, the upgrade includes extra things for the car to make it look and perform better which adds onto an already great car. Acuras are very good for family, you can fit 5 people in it which is a good size, there is enough space to take little road trips.

I leased a 2016 RDX in March. The first few days of driving I noticed a vibrating sound under the hood near the passenger side. I took my car back to the dealer in Santa Monica and was told it happens on these cars. It's the brake pump adjusting. The agent told me he tested other 2016 RDX's and he heard the noise. Well it continued. I took it back the following week and I drove around with a service agent and of course I could not replicate the noise. It only happens occasionally but it's very irritating! I was told unless they hear it when driving the car there is nothing they can do. I had a 2104 RDx I loved, I'm starting to hate this car.

I have driven Honda/Acura since 1993 mostly with success until this last Acura. Because of social media, Acura service departments and other local owners as well as my own experience I know my current model of TL had many issues. I unfortunately had several of the models issue GPS disc drive, splitting of the dashboard, Power Steering leaks all of which can be verified by a simple google search. Here is the issue from the social media. They said contact Acura customer representative. The answer I received is that "dashboards crack; but out of good faith we will fix yours for a $1000" which they claim is 50% of the cost. First, dashboards just do not crack. I do live in the south but I park in garages most of the time out of the sun. Second I had a recall on the Power Steering hose. They said it is fixed but I get a leak that I must fix. Confuses you? Yes, me too! They bottom line is there is no such thing as Acura customer support. They are rude and only out to help dealerships.

I had purchased my $55,000 Acura RL from King just a couple of years before the high-end GPS unit went belly-up. It just quit working! I took it to King's service department and was told: "You must have bumped the unit when you were putting something in the trunk." (Say Whaaat?!?) "That's customer damage and not covered by the warranty. It's going to cost you NINE HUNDRED BUCKS and take about six weeks to get a replacement from California." Please know, the unit showed NO SIGN of being "bumped" while I was "...putting something in the trunk" but King Acura would not budge. Need I say, my RL will be remembered as my first and last foray into the sordid world of Acura.

I purchased 2018 Nissan Pathfinder (VIN Ending with XXXXXX) from Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ on Oct, 19, 2020. My Sales Rep was Luis. This vehicle had 62,009 miles when I purchased it and I was told on the day of purchase (Oct 19, 2020) that vehicle will have 1K Miles/30 days (whichever comes first) dealer warranty. On top of that I purchased Easy Care extended warranty. Everything was signed on Oct 19 and I took the vehicle home. After a few days, vehicle’s engine started making noises and it would release white smoke from exhaust. Assuming vehicle was covered under dealer warranty (1K miles/30 days), I brought it back to Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ. On Nov 2, 2020 Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ technician looked at the vehicle and after diagnostic and test drive said it seems ok so drive it as is and if problem persists, bring it back. Obviously, problem did persist and I had to bring the vehicle back on Nov 18, 2020 to Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ and they gave me a loaner to look bit deeper into the issue. Next day, Service dept manager Steve called me and said, I need to take the car to Nissan because they can diagnose it better plus since I have the extended warranty, it should be all covered. I didn’t agree given the fact dealer warranty was still good (1K/30 days) but they insisted they are an Acura dealership and they cannot diagnose Nissan vehicle. I took the vehicle from there to Nissan Dealership in Keyport, NJ. Once they looked at the vehicle and vehicle’s old records, they told me this vehicle was brought to 4 different dealerships for service since it had engine issue. They suggested I go back to the Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ and they should get it fixed since you are still under (1K/30 days) warranty. I came back to Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ again before Thanksgiving holidays and let them know what Nissan Service dept was telling me and Used Car Sales Manager “Freddy” came out to help me. After discussing for over an hour with other managers in the back area, he came back and shown me a car fax and basically said “you see when a car is brought to me, we run a car fax but if there is nothing in the car fax report about the engine issue. We can’t do much about it because we don’t know about it”. Really? Well, what exactly is the dealer warranty for then? Anyhow, “Freddy” told us what he can do is, he can take the car back and let me pick something else. Basically a “trade” which of course comes with its own complications. After Thanksgiving, I was notified by Nissan Service Dept at Keyport, NJ that my Extended Warranty adjuster denied the claim because car had this issue before I purchased it from Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ. I, once again stopped by at the Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ on Nov 30, 2020. I met with Use Car Sales Manager “Freddy” again and after spending more than 2 hours he looked through few vehicles that could possibly work with my budget. He found 2017 RDX but when we presented the numbers they were high. I asked “Freddy” I know trade is not worth for me but how come Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ is not taking responsibility that I was dealt a bad hand and they should simply get the vehicle fixed as per the contract. I didn’t get any response to that and instead I was getting lame excuses like I was “cursing”. Fact is, he didn’t want to deal with the issue, he didn’t want to acknowledge vehicle that was not certified/was sold and now it’s my headache to deal with it. I am writing this let you all know what goes on when you purchase a used vehicle and how these dealers can treat you. Be warned.

Acura has a lot of options depending on the size of the car that you are looking for. I would recommend that you try different ones. They also have a lot more of high tech options that are necessary in this age. Sports car SUV sedan has great stereo equipment and easy to learn how to work things. As with technology there are many options that you can gauge which ones are more important and fix those ones and personalize as to your comfort. Plus their cars are very roomy have plenty of room in the back of the car space for cargo and really good amount of leg room in front and back. Even with car seats can fit 3 in the back.

There are different models which suits the need of different people. Inexpensive maintenance cost and nice luxurious interior without the cost of an arm and leg. The Acura has a sleek design and available in many colors. There are many available features with a modern design and technology advanced. Also, there's an easy one push start up to warm up car in advance. Basic feature work fine although there are optimal advance upgraded features. Also, they have cheaper upgrades compared to other brands and the ability to customized based on one's needs. There is enough space for what I need. But would like more leg space without buying a bigger car. Passenger seating is close if sitting in center tier. Overall, worth the cost.
