Audi is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. As a subsidiary of its parent company, the Volkswagen Group, Audi produces vehicles in nine production facilities worldwide.

If the amazing Lamborghini Urus is too expensive or too flashy for you, the 2022 Audi RS Q8 offers a similar package and nearly identical performance. The reason for the similarities is the close mechanical ties between these two top-tier hyper-performance SUVs. Although the Audi's version of their shared twin-turbo V-8 makes 50 fewer horsepower, its acceleration virtually as breathtaking. Despite commanding a six-digit transaction price the Audi could and should be considered a performance bargain considering that it costs about half as much as the Lambo. Inside, the RS Q8 offers the same tech-forward cabin we've come to expect from modern Audis, with a dual touchscreen infotainment setup, an all-digital gauge cluster, and plenty of other gadgets. While we'll stop short of calling it the ultimate Audi—that title belongs to either the R8 sports car or the RS6 Avant station wagon—it's most definitely the ultimate Audi SUV.

Audi Q7 4.2 - I am extremely disappointed with this SUV. Every 24000 miles it needs new brakes and rotors that cost in excess of $1600. The last brake job, the car squeaks with brand new pads and rotors. Took back to Audi and they said it is brake dust. After 300 miles still have the issue and AUDI Customer Relations is not helping. This is the last Audi I would buy. I would stay away from this manufacturer.

I purchased an Audi W12 my first and I custom ordered the car. I had less that 5,000 miles on my Pirelli tires that were a special order. I got a flat tire in the seam of the tire. I was told by roadside service that I waited for over an hour to take it to the nearest tire facility. On Sunday nobody is open and the spare is a dingy. The drive home was 2 hours. The following morning I took the car to the nearest tire center per roadside assistance. Pirelli requested the tire center to ship the tire to Pirelli to evaluate the tire for the reason the tire went flat. After 3 months and to have Pirelli say they were short handed and it would be another month until they could evaluate the tire. I reached out to Audi North America as I purchased the tires and the car from them. AUDI gave me this response "we are not responsible for our vendors and the tires. We can not do anything." It is not their issue on any tire related problem, even though I purchased the $3,000 worth of tires from AUDI. I asked for a supervisor from Audi and was told BY THE AGENT THE BUCK STOPS with him and he will not do anything and it is not Audi issue. If you're going to sell a $135,000 car and tout about your customer service when this was my 2nd Audi and my last purchase. Thank God no one was hurt but I would think any company would stand behind their product and vendors.

I purchased a brand new 2010 A6 2.0 T in Oct. 2009. I have had the car since then and encountered some odd problems in the past 3 to 6 months. Initially, the car used to burn the engine oil faster than usual since I would have to top up the oil level almost every month, which I found really weird. A few months ago, the car started to basically shake when I would barely be driving at 80 km per hour. Upon taking the car to the service, I was informed that the solution would be to change the engine! After the engine was changed, the car was running OK until last week when I was driving. The steering wheel locked up and then the alternator fault light came on and it said battery not charged on the dashboard. I could have gotten into a terrible car accident and my life was put at risk but I was barely able to maneuver the car just in time to get it off the road. I am a very dissatisfied customer from Audi.

My family has owned 6 VWs and Audi's. The A4s were flawless, and the Tiguans worked well. The 2010 Q5 had mechanical and component issues and the new 2014 Q5 is getting gas mileage 10-20% below EPA sticker. Our overall mileage average is 10% below the city EPA value even though we live in the suburbs of Boston, and rarely drive into the city. I believe it is costing me $300-400 more per year in fuel. Audi says the car is operating within specification but I know what my mileage reading are. The Audi customer service people were professional when they delivered a finding I did not agree with. Otherwise the car works as promised. Have other readers had poor gas mileage???

At end of lease- told residual is approx 12K- you would think that's what you could buy it for? Not close- have to go thru their dealer and they tack on over 1k in fees and Audi adds another 300 or so - in theory no termination fee If you buy it but they call it something else- Want to sell it directly to someone else?- Don't even think it's going to happen then they charge what they call fmv- in my case 21k. Bottom line audi finance is a rip off - they tell you when you buy it that residual price is what you pay———NOT.

I purchased Q7 4.2 2007 in 2006. It was one of the first 1000 made worldwide and I received complimentary maintenance service up to 50K miles. Zoltan ** at Seattle University Audi was very good. So good, we bought another car from him later. :-) I have now (2014) 86K miles on it. I have had some small issues like broken window screen on the left side and stuck screen on the right (so far I have not fixed any). Cracked and eventually separated air filter housing intake (I have used Gorilla tape for that). I have changed brake pads, spark plugs, battery, some light bulbs. All by myself. No major issues. This car is very well made and I am very happy with it. It's heavy on gas, but I already knew that when I bought it. All fluids are done on time, most of the time at Audi dealer. It burns oil, but that's nothing new. Considering mileage, I have not had any serious problems. I am going to keep driving it and see how much longer it will last. Hoping for 300K.

My 2012 Audi a7 has been in 5 times since February to repair the air conditioning which has been blowing hot air. Audi has still not been able to fix the problem and refuses to replace the system. Their excuse is they need to find exactly which part is failing. They have fixed a leak - twice and repaired the pressure switch - twice... Nothing has corrected the problem and they still refuse to replace the system. The car is still under the original manufacturer guarantee. Audi just blows hot air!

I bought a A4 Quattro, manual transmission, new in January of 2012 from Hiley Audi in Huntsville, Alabama. The vehicle has had the water pump and one injector replaced under warranty and the PCV valve, various modules and gaskets O rings and other items replaced at my expense as well as the shocks that were leaking more oil than the EXXON Valdez. All of this occurred after the car was barely out of warranty. The service department has actually been quite good at diagnosing the problems associated with the vehicle however the expense of having those issues rectified is prohibitive. Now with a little over 100k miles on the car, it's burning a quart of oil every 600 miles. No one at Audi notified me about the class action suit on these engines for excessive oil consumption however they did notify me of the extended warranty on the cam chain tensioner which after requesting the replacement they refused to repair even while the car was still under warranty! In short, I'm stuck with $6K repair bill for replacing this dog of an engine. The people that work at Audi can only be as good as the management team and in short, the management team at Hiley as well as Audi of America are terrible. On a side note, I have an ACURA RSX that I bought new in 2003 with 200k miles on the odometer that doesn't use a drop of oil and a 1997 BMW 318is with a 168K on the clock that doesn't use any oil either. Basically Audi sells cars that are throwaways after 100,000 miles. In short, if you expect Hiley or Audi of America to stand behind their products, you will be sorely disappointed.

My Audi experience has been a nightmare. My wife and I bought a 2011 Q5 on April 4, 2011. When the car had 28000 miles on it, the low oil light came on. We were told it was from a defective hood latch, which the dealer replaced. The light came on again in several thousand miles and we were told this time it was a pressure regulating valve, which was replaced. The light came on a third time and we were told an oil consumption test needed to be initiated. I know it's hard to believe, but the oil light came on a 4th time. Day Audi of Monroeville advised me that VW/Audi had a known defect with their 2.0 turbo engines and I would need the pistons and rings replaced in the vehicle. First they needed to send the oil consumption results to the Audi Corporation and get the work approved. Audi advised the dealer that my Audi, which only has 40,000 miles on it, was consuming a normal amount of oil, and no further repairs were needed. The dealer advised the oil light would continue top come on, just bring it in and get it topped off when it does. They also offered to buy my vehicle back at a lowball auction price. Audi is a joke of a corporation that could care less about their customers. I would never recommend a Volkswagen or Audi to anyone as a result of being treated in this manner.

I have a 3 three-year-old Audi a4 with 50k kilometers. Brought car back to garage at 35k for rear suspension noise and was told problem was solved. Car was purchased new. Noise came back into rear suspension and when I brought car back it was out of warranty. I was then told I would have to pay 130 euro per hour for car to be looked at and they didn't know how many hours it would take. I was scared off after being told there was a car in for a noise and already they had clocked up 38 hours and the problem was still not solved. I will never buy one of these cars again. I have had BMW and Merc and Opal and these cars are just not up there with these other brands. My experience was I paid quality price but did not get the quality car.
