I have had a number of expensive nuisance issues with my MDX that I paid handsomely for. From day 1 it has had a slow leak in the tire that they say there is nothing wrong with. The drivers side window whistles and they say it is not a known problem and nothing they can do about; and now most recently I was pulled over by the police for a tail light that was not working. I replaced the bulb myself, no avail. Acura says $500 for a new tail light assembly. What does it say about the quality of construction when an enclosed tail light assembly needs to be replaced??? I bought Acura looking for Honda/Acura quality. Very, very disappointed. I will be a returning customer. PS, additionally the Acura navigation system is the worst. Too hard to use; just use your phone.

I test drove the Sedan RLX and TLX which both have four doors, the Coupe ILX, two doors, the SUV MDX and the RDX. All of the vehicles were a very smooth drive and gas efficient. The ILX which is the compact sport car was a little small and the RLX was larger, but the TLX is the largest sedan and had quite a bit of room to maneuver in. The RDX SUV had more room than the MDX SUV, but all comparable to their competitors. You can upgrade seats, the navigation system and display. You can also upgrade the wheels with packages that are premium and a-spec. The ELS sound system is also an upgrade too.

I purchased a 2008 Acura TL new. The car was well maintained and garage stored. Within several years the perforated leather seats began to split. I had to have them replaced. The car was in great condition otherwise so I spent the money to replace them. A couple years later I noticed a crack on the right side of the dash. The crack grew and has expanded to multiple cracks. I have never experienced this with a car and would certainly not expect it from a brand known for quality and luxury yet when I did an internet search I discovered that it is a common problem with the Acura. Buyer beware.

Theres nothing on that I can see and when I looked online this was a very common problem with Acuras! If I would have know I would of never purchased. Very disappointed!! Took car to dealership and they couldnt find anything wrong and again they said thats all they see with these Acuras!!! And their unknown causes!!

I have a 2012 Acura RDX with technology package and only 24,000+ miles on the vehicle. I financed the vehicle in May of 2015 at the end of my 3 year lease and purchased Acura Care for over $2,000 should anything go wrong with vehicle to make sure it is still under warranty. Needless to say, the positive end of the battery cable became so eroded that the cable became loose and was very thin. I have kept up with the regular maintenance but for whatever reason, the battery terminal was never serviced by the technician. The car could not start and I thought the battery was dead. I purchased an after market battery and drove it to Acura dealership on Nostrand Ave in Brooklyn, NY so they could diagnose the problem. It was determined that the cables could have been eroded by environmental factors and the battery needed replacement. Acura replaced the battery since it was still under the 4 year or 50,000 miles original warranty but they stick me with the $400 replacement cost of the battery cable since it is not covered under the original warranty nor under Acura Care. I find this outrageous, since a premium vehicle should not have its cable corroded in less than 4 years. I told the Customer Service case manager that I also have a 2006 Toyota Rav 4 with under 47,000 miles and have never had any issue with the battery cable. They keep referring to environmental factors as a result of the corrosion and therefore not covered since that is not a defect in the cable itself. The car is driven in Brooklyn over 95% of the time with a few trips to CT and 2 trips to Montreal, Canada. The cost of a new premium car, Acura Care for $2000+ and now $400 for battery cable replacement for a vehicle that is not 4 years old yet. Please advise if anyone else has this issue with Acura. They should be held liable for inferior accessories.

The car vibrates at any speed. I have had it to the dealer three times due to the vibrations. All engine mounts were replaced as apparently the vibrations from the VCM (Variable Cylinder Management) are so excessive that hydraulic/electronic motor mounts had to be installed to mitigate the vibrations when the engine goes from 6 cylinders to 3. Even when the mounts were replaced there remains a distinct vibration in the steering wheel. Prior to the replacement passengers felt the vibration in their seat. Now its an annoying vibration in the steering wheel. One more time back to a dealer and if the ride doesnt improve, my only recourse seems to be the lemon law. If youre looking for a smooth driving sedan, stay far away from this thing.

I have a 2010 RDX that I bought certified pre-owned. Just had my first oil change. Price shocker... What oil change costs $200??? In looking at the bill, $147 is for labor. The service also included a tire rotation which still should not cost that much. In addition, I waited an 1 1/2 for the car. What oil change takes that long?? I contacted another Acura dealership and was quoted a lower price for the same service. So far, Acura is horrible. The car came back with more dirt than it had when I brought it in. I am current/original first owner of 2005 Acura TL. My car has dashboard cracked and airbag sign showed on screen. And Ive researched on web and found this is common issue/problem that many TL owners are experiencing. I recently went to Acura dealership for trade in my 05 TL for 2017 MDX and my vehicle appraised was $0.00. They said they couldnt buy it from me with dashboard cracked and sell it in their dealer. FYI my TL has about 148,000 miles and has good condition.I cannot believe Acura knows theres a problem with dashboard cracked on almost every TL they manufactured and not taking any action. What if theres airbag issue and not function it properly because of cracked dashboard? Is airbag going to function well? This is safety issue and Acura should make recall to check who has dashboard cracked. I dont think I am never going back to Acura again after experiencing this kind of bad service.

My family has been a loyal Honda customer for 30+ years and 6+ Honda cars.
My family has been a loyal Honda customer for 30+ years and 6+ Honda cars. Weve loved their reliability and dependability. That being said, it is unfortunate that I have had a negative experience with most my recent vehicle. I drive a certified pre-owned 2012 Acura TL Tech Package, which I purchased in 2014. Since the purchase, the car has driven very well, showing no indication of any issues. Though I purchased this vehicle in a metroplex, I live in a rural area. I drive 60 miles round-trip to and from work. Last Wednesday, while driving on a rural highway between offices, the car lost all power without any warning traveling at 75mph. The RPM dial went crazy, and then the check engine lights flickered (check charge system, check ABS, check VSA). Luckily, I was able to pull over to the shoulder. I let it run, hoping it would stay on until I could get assistance. After about 5 minutes, it shut down completely. I was stranded in between 2 small towns on a rural highway with spotty cell phone coverage plus the inconvenience of missing work. I could not restart the car—absolutely no lights came on. Thankfully, I was able to contact a tow service to tow the car back to my house (28 miles away). I assumed the battery was the issue and replaced it, which worked for 5 minutes before it was completely drained. I live 350 miles from the nearest Acura dealer, so I had to tow it there. When I got it to Acura on Saturday, they ran diagnostics on the car and determined it was a faulty alternator, covered by my extended warranty and fixed the problem. My main concern with this situation is that there was no warning whatsoever to alert me of a problem. Had I been alerted, I would have acted proactively to prevent this from occurring, especially since I live so far from a dealer. I can only imagine how much worse this could have been had it happened in the middle of the night in this rural area, or if this happened on a 5-lane highway in a big city during the morning or evening commute. When I mentioned the lack of warning to the Acura service guy, he said, “Sometimes there is no warning on these things.” That is a problem. There should always be some form of warning before a relatively new vehicle is malfunctioning. Acura needs to determine why their vehicles are not warning the drivers of potential repairs for the safety of its drivers and all other drivers.

I took my Acura MDX 2011 for its 1st service in Bellevue dealership. They checked and took the car into the service area. When they gave me the car back after service, there was a big windshield crack. When I asked, they said this commonly happens many times and my service manager will have to see and approve for the replacement. After 2 days, the service manager said that it happened before leaving the car for service. The guys said they did not notice it when leaving the car and noticed it after the car wash. This service manager is very rude - I cant replace it; it’s all your fault, he was asking me to claim insurance for this and saying thats what insurance is there for. When I said I will complain to the Acura Company, he said, Nothing is going to happen, do whatever you want. When I asked him to see the cameras, how it was before, he said, I dont have the time for all of this, and hung up the phone. I am thinking of going to a lawyer to handle this with that rude guy.

I leased a 2014 Acura RDX. The vehicle was recalled due to a faulty airbag. The parts will take two months to come in but we dont want to drive the car due to the safety risk. Acura, via my local dealer, provided a rental car that is far below the quality of the RDX. For example, no navigation. I complained to the dealer and to Acura Customer Affairs. Policy is that they only provide a vehicle - not an equivalent vehicle. At the same time, I am still paying the full lease for a car that I cant drive. Is this fair? Very poor job on the part of Acura.

Called Acura when I got flat tire this morning. It is now 3 hours later they just arrived. There was no spare in car. No Acura emergency service like other brands such as Mercedes and Lexus. Very little help for person who does not know how to handle the problem. We own three Acuras. Never again will I buy one. With Mercedes or Lexus you call and they come get you and car. They repair. None of this arguing for a tow truck. No need for a million explanations. They just lost my family’s business. What a shame.

My Acura MDX drives very smooth and has excellent gas mileage. It has wonderful features which assists in driving. The seats are super comfortable and have warmers or coolers in them. It has a great entertainment package which is great for my backseat passengers. It has great sound and I was worried I would have to replace the factory speakers, but it works and sounds great. But I wish there were more functions on the steering wheel to control everything, including volume, bluetooth functions, etc. The power windows could be a little faster when going down or up too.

I recently purchased a new 2019 Acura RDX a-spec and have been experiencing continuous issues and malfunctions with the infotainment system. Issues include system freezing, Calls not ending, unable to access navigation or apple car play, System remains on (sometimes all day) when car is shut off. System will shut off while driving and lock out of all functions. Loud screeching over speakers at random. Unable to adjust volume with steering wheel controls, etc. Several of these things I was able to document on video. I was instructed by the service manager to disconnect the battery and allow car to sit for 10-15 min before reconnecting. This sometimes resolves for a short period before the issues resurface again. Not to mention, a step that no owner of a brand new luxury brand vehicle should have to do. I recently took my car into Acura for service and they ended up keeping the car for 2 days to try and troubleshoot the issues. This is what the Service Rep sent me: Hey Tony, I got word back from my area rep that he has to cross reference the data with the field engineer to see if they feel like changing the infotainment system will address the concern or not. Some of the symptoms are known issues but have not had a fix developed yet, but we want to be sure we exhaust all options. After all that, they were unable to fix or replace anything. I was told that Acura is working on future software updates that they can push out to everyone, but for the time being, there is nothing that I can do. I feel like I bought a lemon that is probably dropping tremendously in value due to these ongoing issues. I would strongly avoid purchasing an Acura RDX and any other Acura with the same Infotainment platform. Acura RDX Owner Tony **

I purchased my MDX slightly used off dealer lot, it had about 6,000 miles. I have loved many things about the vehicle, however recently (once I had paid it off and warranty expired) my battery has died 4 times. Had alternator replaced around $700 min. Had new battery installed, but still died again. Now my navigation system says it is reconfiguring and if it isnt working in 10 minutes to take to dealer. Well, I cant afford to just run down to Acura every time there is an issue! The last time I brought it in, when I went to p/u my car wouldnt start! The side board was hanging off and remote key wouldnt work! They never offer loaner vehicles and overcharge everything. Now I have no navi. My check oil light is constantly coming on (oil is fine) and my key gets stuck in ignition!

Me and my family have roughly owned 20 Acuras in the last 15 years including buying 4 in the last 2 years. Had our ups and downs. The bad - losing my key. Running my Credit without my permission then making me pay for it to fix it... Messing up payments that were being taken out of my account (extra money). Lots of overcharges in any transactions. Whatever. I am over it. Everyone messes up. The good - great lease rates. Mostly reliable. Great looking car. So I bought another used Acura for a winter beater. There was apparently a recall for MDX active suspension struts. 5k repair up to 160 kms. I am sitting at 180. I called them and said hey I dont expect a full repair but some help would be great considering I am probably one of the best customers. I also own a body shop and obviously we pump parts from Acura. You know how the story goes. I was in talk with them for two weeks. They told me to beat it. We wont even look at it was the answer. I dont know if the people I am speaking with just also made an error but I am getting rid of all my Acuras after they are off lease and simply going to try something different and see how customer service treats me. I know grass is not greener on the other side but hey Mercedes makes some nice cars of all types.

Acura TSX 2004 (red, tan interior, v-tec engine) was that it was made with the starter near the engine. According to my trusted mechanic, he says that this cars positioning of the starter as being irregular. This causes the starter to malfunction more than other cars whose starter was not made in the same location. 2. A coil in the engine needed to be replaced. Other than that, I have had no other issues that were not issues related to normal wear and tear. I drive 100+ miles a day for work. This has been a very trusty car. After doing a lot of research and test-driving Lexus, Mercedes, Subaru, Nissan and others, I finally bought an Acura-RDX and realized immediately after buying the car that the famous Honda Company/Acura suppressed the fact that this RDX didnt have trunk/hatch release key inside the car. Unless I go near the car with key in-hand and open the trunk door. I called Acura customer service and a guy told that Dont worry. We know that. Next year models will have the trunk release key inside the car. We cant do anything for you and he hung up. I was totally disappointed with this elusive answer. Why Honda deliberately suppressed this fact? Deceiving the customer is not good at all. I never buy any Honda car or Acura car. Though expensive, I should have bought Lexus SUV with better options than Acura RDX or MDX.

Car was quality. Ranges from sporty to luxury with nearly unmatched quality. Acura is a dependable brand that offers great styles. I believe it is owned by Honda and has great motors that hold up well. You still see a lot of older models still on the road which validates that Acura is quality and very dependable. I like the integration, NSX and RSX models especially for their unique style and quality. The TL model is nice as well giving you the same look almost as a Lexus but I believe the Acura models are more appealing than Lexus personally. Acuras are easier to personalize or upgrade than most other cars. Almost all brands make parts for Acura which also helps with pricing because parts are so readily available. If you are into showing cars there are endless possibilities. Normal to average, models seat anywhere from 2 to 5 people. The RSX seats 4, the integration seats 4 and the NSX seats 2.

I got RDX 2018 model. I mainly tells what this lacks compare to other non-suv models. I expected decent options when I say word Acura or luxurious model. Rear passenger leg room is so small, my old Toyota Camry got much larger leg space. Acura provided two 12 v chargers. Guess what, they are cigarette lighting chargers. If any passenger want to charge their phone, they need to buy compatible charger. What a life! No power windows for passengers. No telescopic steering wheel, means no adjustments. Now, good things about this one, smooth transmission ride, power steering control, vehicle stability, and its sleek look and design suggestion, compare option from similar vehicle class and buy!

All the cars have leather seats that are very comfortable and superior handling. Most of the upgrades were nice to have options. Well it continued. I took it back the following week and I drove around with a service agent and of course I could not replicate the noise. It only happens occasionally but its very irritating! Their models are classically designed, and an old Acura looks just as contemporary as a new one. What I particularly appreciate is the fact that blind spots are minimized, reducing the need to stretch and crane your neck before changing lanes. Also, their upgrade and personalization options are comparable to those offered by other manufacturers of upscale automobiles. For example, on-board GPS, air conditioning, hands-off mobile phone, etc. The passenger capacity depends on the style and/or model of car selected. It also enables you to open your trunk as you approach the car, especially helpful when your arms are full of items. It has a sunroof which is always nice to have. The things that would improve the car are things available in todays cars, like a Bluetooth connection for your cell phone or a GPS that will give you directions. Heated seats would be nice and better speakers for the radio and CD player.

Bought the Acura RL used with @30K miles. Had some factory warranty remaining plus I bought an extended warranty from Acura dealer and had car serviced regularly at that dealership. At @50K miles, the car developed a malodorous odor of burning oil, especially strong when parked in enclosed garage after having been driven. I suspected an oil leak dripping onto hot exhaust component and complained to dealership on each of three or four service visits while warranty was in effect. Dealership claimed they could not smell the odor or find any leak. On the next service visit AFTER the warranty expired, I complained again and dealership said the engines rear main oil seal was dripping onto exhaust causing odor and wanted @$1000 to fix it. Appealed all the way to Honda headquarters but was not able to get Honda to fix the problem which had been present and had been reported during warranty period. Leak has now reached the point to where it puddles on garage floor. In addition, on the same visit, dealership said front shocks were bad. Additionally, had five repeat problems with SRS system, and the fuel pump relay failed and stranded me at the grocery store with a car load of groceries. The car looks good and drives good, but it is unreliable, prone to breakdown and definitely not worth its cost.

I love this car, new or used, they are great cars to own and enjoy. The Acura TSX Navi is a great family car. It has enough room for two car seats and another person in the back. It also has spacious legroom all around and expansive trunk space with enough room to haul two strollers and an army of baby items. Excellent gas mileage and beautiful colors make the Acura the perfect car for anyone. Heated seats and mirrors are fantastic in cold weather. The car was also upgraded to a moonroof. Sirius radio was also an added bonus along with navigation. From family models to sports models, Acura cars are fun to drive and luxurious enough to satisfy the pickiest person!

I have owed 8 Hondas/Acuras in the last 30 years. This time my 2011 MDX is burning oil so I called Acura. They said I was under the mileage needed to have to rings and engine rebuilt but my time had expired so TOO BAD. I asked how they contacted me about this problem as they knew about the other 7 cars I owned. They said, Oh we contacted you. I asked how since they had my email, phone number and home address. They could not verify they sent anything. They could not even tell me how they contacted me. So Im going to put on a sandwich board above my car saying I got screwed by Honda/Acura. Ask me how. If this is customer service I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone.

Super dependable car and have never let me down. The gas mileage is super good for long rides... love all of the different styles and brands this car have to offers. And very spacious. I would recommend this car if you have a large family of at least 5. Lots of storage and very comfortable seat to ride with joy and peace. The passenger cap of mines is up to six people to sit. And another great thing that I like about it is that there still leg room to move around. The car that I have is more like a crossover and thats the great thing that I like about it the most. Also it came fully loaded, with seat warmers and a 6 disc DVD players.

There are different type of brands, small, medium, big and a variety of colors and options. Everyone can find what they are looking for for a decent price. The car was white with a lot of features like ac, automatic, tinting on the window, leather seats, huge mirrors, reclinable seats. It was really easy to use and the manual helped with any issues. Its a very good car for a modest family with kids. The car seat were really comfortable, even for a long drive, lots of legroom for passengers and easy access with the 4 doors.

Acura has so many different varieties. There is really something here for everyone. I am picky, but it was easy for me to find something unique and luxurious. Love built in GPS, fresh acceleration and sleek design. The car seems luxurious but with reasonable price, very eye catching and I love the image that comes with it. Also has fantastic size for the whole family and the dogs. Perfect for my road trips and always really great to take hiking. It was very functional and realistic. However, my husband had way more options with his Lexus. I also had many more options with my Subaru. If there were more features I missed, I was not made aware of them.

The styles are one of a kind. There are many wonderful exterior colors and the interior comes in leather or your basic interior. You can upgrade your vehicle but it will cost. If you dont like the features on the inside of the car you can have it changed to fit your personal needs and style. This brand of car has plenty of room for family and friends. I know that is definitely a plus.

I own a 2011 Acura MDX and from past few months Ive been having issues with Bluetooth, stereo and leather is already tearing apart although being used very lightly (for just about 3 1/2 years). When I reached out to Acura client relations to see if they can be of any help as the vehicle was still under warranty, they showed deaf ears to me which is a big surprise to me. I wont mind if they dont want to replace my leather, but not listening to customers and not responding is a big RED FLAG. This is not the kind of customer care I expect for a luxury car brand. I owned Infiniti and BMW in the past and Ive always had nice experience with their customer care whenever Id to deal with them for any complaints/issues. This is my first and heck yeah my last ACURA for life.

The sleek lines and smooth new-car finish is just the beginning in your hunt for decisions and choices. The backing camera and individual temperature controls are a must. Color, features, accouterments, specifications - the wonderful decisions you get to make are just part of the incredible journey. Decisions like these are always fun! I’ve purchased a used 2005 Acura TL with 69K miles on it. At 96K miles the transmission blew out, it was a $4000 bill to rebuild the transmission. My AC compressor had to be changed. The tension pulley had to be changed. The battery dies if the car is not turned on daily or in cold winter months (I live in Houston, we don’t have severe weather). It has a new battery and the alternator is just fine, we never could establish what the battery issues were. The car will lock you out since it automatically locks, the mirrors shift while driving. The dashboard has cracks. I happily sold the car to a junkyard for $500, I just couldn’t wait to get rid of it. I maintain my cars regularly and only put less than 20 miles a day on it. I didn’t expect all these issues with less than 100k miles on it. Never getting an Acura again.

My husband bought a 2016 MDX from Acura Ramsey in Ramsey, NJ on June 27, 2015. One week after that he started having problems with the car. On Saturday we were out to dinner the car started giving weird noises and it said transmission problems. On Monday I tried to take the car to the dealer but all of a sudden the car stopped on RT 17. We had to tow the car to the dealer. When I was at the service I asked them what would happen with the car and they told me to talk to the sales manager Chuck **. When I went to his office he did not even told me to come in and I had to talk to him standing by the door. Actually first response I got from him was There is nothing to talk about. Go to the service and wait for your car. I asked him nicely what the procedure because it was a major problem with transmission. He again told to get out of his office and go to the service department and wait for the car. I did not understand why he was so mean and refused to talk to me and I asked him but he got worse. He kept saying Obviously you do not understand me again and again. I reminded him that I may not be a native speaker but I perfectly understand English and I am a US Citizen and I have the right to know what the procedure but he again treated me like an immigrant who did not understand anything. Unfortunately he was getting worse every time I opened my mouth. I did not understand why he was so rude and mean and why he was discriminating me saying that I did not understand him. I also have an MDX that I have bought from the same dealer in 2011 and I have been going to the same service since then. I have never ever been insulted and discriminated like this before. Actually I have never been treated like this in my life before. Brand new car stopped on a highway. I was totally traumatized and shocked. I did not know what to do. Instead of saying sorry he kept insulted me. He never ever not even once said he was sorry. I was so upset that I was shivering and crying but he seriously did not care about what happened or how I felt because of a car that we paid $60,000. This has been one of the worst days and treatment in my life. I like my car but I think Acura has the worst customer service and they do not think about doing anything about it since my husband also complaint about him via email a week ago and nobody responded his emails. I hope they will do something to improve their customer service and they do not hire these kind of people who do not know how to treat customer who has already bought two SUVs from them.

Our 2007 MDX was taken in for A/C evaluation. The A/C was repaired but then we were given a list of other items that needed attention: Drive Belt (glazing and cracking), Engine Coolant Dirty, Power Steering Leaking and required new pump, right front stabilizer Links needed replacing. Plus all fluids low and dirty including the transmission and brake fluid. After picking up the vehicle with just A/C service, I immediately drove it over to a reputable repair service that is AAA approved. The only item that would need to be replaced within the next 10K miles or so was the right front stabilizer Links. The mechanic showed us the power steering = no leak, the fluids = clean and full, and the drive belt was perfect. How do dealers get away with this?

I have been paying off my 2013 Acura Tsx since May of 2013. First of all, I put down $10k out of the total amount of 34k, which includes tax. I have been paying off $500 every month until it dropped to $477 a month. I may have missed a month here and there, but would make it up the next month. Now riddle me this, How do I still owe 18k? I have bank statements totaling up to 10k in payments. 10k monthly payments +10k down payment = 20k. 4.0 apr, results in what? About 2k so far? So if anything, I owe around 12k, considering my apr guesstimate is somewhat close. How in the world do I owe almost 19k? I know for a fact that 4.0 apr will not result in 7k after two years. Also, after missing my payment the second time, they canceled my online Acura financial account. Thats very smart of them to hinder my ability to make payments so that I have to pay through the phone with a surcharge fee. Im considering on lawsuit if they dont resolve my issue by 3/31/2015.

Vehicle Mileage: 17997. Description: I recently purchased (5/24/2017) a 2016 Acura ILX. Im very disappointed to say the least. This car is expensive and Doesnt even offer a satellite radio. Also when driving I cant access my phonebook to make calls. I have to pick up my phone to call a number. I can only use voice call to call 15 stored speed dial numbers instead of being able to say call whomever. Whats the purpose of hands free when this car doesnt offer that. Also the name doesnt appear when a call comes through. Even though the contacts are downloaded into the system. I had all of these options in my Elantra before trading it in on what I thought would be better for me. A mistake I made because clearly more money doesnt mean better. Could this please be fixed?? Im so upset about my purchase and wish I could trade a brand new ILX back in for an Elantra that offers better quality. The phone system needs to be fixed in the ILX. I wouldnt recommend this car to anyone. Thank you for your time. Ive actually reached out to the CEO and he forwarded me to a representative whom was NO HELP. I actually asked them if they could upgrade this data system in the car or buy back their overly priced basic car... Im still stuck with this Car for 3 years.

These are very expensive to fix and Ive read on the internet that many customers have complained about this problem and Acura has done nothing to fix the problem. I know it’s a huge review but please read it before you make a decision to buy Acura ILX! Maybe it will help you to change your mind! Since the moment I bought a brand new Acura ILX 2020 as a pleasure car in July 2020, I have already visited Prime Acura Dealership 10 times. The main issue – is a loud clunking noise that coming from the front side of the vehicle so you can feel it in the floor when tapping the gas while cruising and also from the passenger’s side and also hesitation while driving. All these problems occurred when the mileage on the car was about 3500 miles. To solve the issues, the dealership made a decision to replace the right axel (twice) and the intermediate shaft. They unsuccessfully tried to resolve the issue with the noise two times. When I came back to the dealership with the same problem the 3rd time, they told me that the noise is actually a normal characteristic of the vehicle. When I asked them why it was considered abnormal before and now it became normal, the mechanic told me that he didn’t know this particular model very well at that point. When I tried to look for a help in the other dealerships, I had received the same answer – the noise is the normal characteristic and the car is acting as designed. When I came back to the dealership with the same problem (it was my 6th time) the mechanic with more than 20 years of experience at Acura, who did a test drive, told me that the main reason of the noise could be transmission defect and that, possibly, there is a transmission replacement required. But after couple days of working with my car, the manager of the dealership got back to me with the answer that the car is acting normal. I have a camera in my car that recording 24/7, and the moment where the mechanic mentioned the transmission defect was recorded. But when I came home and check my recordings, I found out that that particular piece is missing. I have never had any issues with my camera before! Unfortunately, nobody from the dealership was able to explain me how that happened. To my great luck, I forgot to switch my clock to winter time, and because of that I have all the videos that I thought have been deleted. I decided not to give up and made an appointment with the engineer at Prime Acura. I requested a joint test drive with him, but at the dealership they told me that this is impossible because of the COVID-19. It was weird to me, because they allowed joint test drives with the mechanics but no with the engineers. When I realized that nobody at Prime Acura wants to help me, I went to the independent licensed mechanics who confirmed that the problem exists –“ there are hesitation during acceleration and thumping noise during up shifts, problem is indicated as internal transmission or TCM programming issue”. It was exactly the same words that the mechanic at Acura said to me before they changed their minds. One day I couldn’t start my car, because the battery died (Brand new car!). I had to ask my husband to jump the car and rafter that I went to the Prime Acura right away. The mechanic performed the test and told me that the battery died because it was defective. They replaced the battery, but 3 weeks later I found out that my camera was not recording in the parking mode, although it was before the battery was replaced. The mechanics who installed the camera told me that the battery voltage falls below 12 volts and the camera stops the recording. I came back to Prime Acura to ask what battery they installed, because before the replacement there were no issues with the camera whatsoever. The answer that I received was the power capacity of the battery is small and the camera is too heavy for it. When I asked them why it never happened to my old battery they just tried to avoid to answer the question and only repeated that the battery is too small.I tried to look up the problem and found a few articles about the camera, stating that the camera can’t kill the battery. I sent those to the Prime Acura rep. I just wanted to get answers on my questions but instead I received very rude email from him where he says that he doesn’t want to continue the conversation. Bottom line, I haven’t seen worse customer service that was provided by Prime Acura. They haven’t fixed my problem, they haven’t shown any desire to help or at least sympathy and respect towards me as the client. I DO NOT RECOMMEND to buy Acura ILX! This 26k purchase only gave me a huge headache and a lot of stress, humiliation and prejudice of my customer and human rights. Acura doesn’t stand by their product or does the right thing by the customer! The actual quality doesn’t comply with stated, car warranty is nothing but a joke and the “premium class” is just a dial tone.

When driving on a highway in a snow storm my dash lights up like crazy telling me that the Collision Mitigation and adaptive cruise control has stopped working. The voice on the warning said to turn off the engine and restart it. If this didnt help see the dealer. When I went to Pauly Acura to find out about the problem I was told that was normal. When I called Acura directly I was told to check the owners manual and basically this is normal. We bought the car for its safety features. Wouldnt you want all features to work in bad weather? I asked what Acura was doing to correct the problem and was told nothing. I asked to talk to a supervisor and the lady I talked to would not connect me. My other car has the same type of system and works perfect in bad snow storms. This TLX 2015 with 3000 miles on it is not as good as our old 2001 or 2006. If I knew that this safety system had a problem I would of bought a different car. Who reads the owners manual before they buy a new car?

For a first time buyer I find it reliable and luxurious compared to other I tested drive. At first I must admit I was a bit hesitant on purchases because, originally my first two choices were BMW or a Chrysler. I test drive them both, the BMW was M3. Was enjoyable but it was missing something and Chrysler I thought would eat up a lot more gas and less comfortable. So when my last option I was hesitant but when I tested it. I felt right there this was it the one I would buy. Beautiful interior design but it could be a bit more glamorous. Its not as nice as a BMW but its great for a first time buyer. Somewhat roomy depending on size and weight of individual. I do unfortunately have a friend is a bit heavyset who seats in the passenger seat to have more room but even pushing back seat is not enough, so it would be nice to have more legroom for heavyset people. The stereo is wonderful and car floats as if I am flying. Very spacious whether going shopping or traveling out of town. Its very roomy for luggage or my purchases. Im also have many envious friends who want my car because of the comfort it has compare to theirs. The air conditioner and heater are wonderful. Not to mention the stereo to plug in your phone or MP3 are topnotch compared to other models. But one of the best would be GPS which is one best feature in the car.

After 2-3 days, dealer came back stating they cant fix the car. Acura rep. will come down and take a look. In the process, Acura rep damaged my car now it needs to go to a body shop.Acura assigned me case manager, and they never called me. After 10 times follow up there comes new case manager. Now the new case manager is no different, he would not solve the problem. After continuous follow-up and close a month of agony someone from corporate called me to say they will fix the car, but now they cant replace it and in turn they would pay me 2500$ for all the hardship that I been through. A brand new car lost its value as it been to a body shop and it will show up Carfax. Why the customer has to take a hit for Acura reps mistake. But Acura cares less. Never Buy an Acura unless you want to be a unhappy customer like me. I am selling out my car with loss of 2000$ after getting a new PORSCHE!!! AND I AM NOT GOING TO BUY ANOTHER ACURA NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE...

I leased with Acura for two consecutive 3 year term and I initially thought it was a great vehicle (MDX) and great service until I decided to try another car company. I received an invoice for almost $3000 for excessive wear and tear. The report indicated that I had a poor repair and my car was NEVER in need of repair in the three years I had it! I was charged for two tires when only one didnt meet the spec requirements. Youre fine as long as you keep your money with Acura... They dont bill you unless you decide to leave. Fusion Auto Finance asked me to take the vehicle for inspection on Long Island and I live on Staten Island: it was a major inconvenience to me. The communication from Fusion Auto Finance initially billed me over $1600 because there was an error stating that my lease was overdue when it wasnt! The miscommunication to rectify that error was insane. Then, in dealing with Ms. Doreen ** and her supervisor Marissa **, the miscommunication continued in trying to ground my vehicle from another dealership. Overall, it was a nightmare that I never want to go through again. The corporate office (Drake ext. ** at Fusion Auto Finance) was rude and did not want to do anything else but collect my money. Its ABUSIVE and they (Drake of Fusion Auto Finance) made accusations of damages to the car and then accused me of lying when I said the vehicle was never in need of repair!! I will NEVER give my business to Acura again. They totally rip you off. There are so many other dealerships that offer better.

Acura has many different styles of which I chose one that was underrated and I was correct about the style being underrated. I was luckily judging by the quality. This car has a great design on the steering wheel as well as fast working brakes which lead to a safe drive and this makes me feel safer at night or plain daylight. The upgrade is as amazing as rescuing a cow from a trapped low quality fence. It is always an amazing thing to look forward towards when it comes to cars. Plus this vehicle can hold up to 5 people at once. It can hold more if squeezed in or even if little children were to be put in.

I purchased a new 2014 Acura RDX with all-wheel drive and technology package from Apple Tree Acura in July 2013. The dashboard has slowly warped where it meets the windshield and has a dip or sag about 6 inches long and inch deep. The Apple Tree service manager as well as the factory representative determined that the problem is a characteristic of the RDX, that there is no fix and they will not attempt to repair or replace under warranty. They have admitted that my dashboard is the worst they have seen, but all RDXs have this characteristic to some degree. I believe this is a flaw and it should be repaired under factory warranty. A $40,000 vehicle should not have a sagging dashboard as a normal characteristic. It certainly was not sagging when I purchased the car. When Apple Tree Acura sold me the RDX, they promised me a comprehensive warranty and exemplary customer service for 4 years or 50,000 miles. They now point to the factory representative’s decision as final and refuse to honor their commitment to me. I strongly urge buyers not purchase any vehicle from this dealership! They have absolutely zero integrity.

Please be accurate with my statement? Absolutely. I purchased a 2005 Acura Rl, 4 recalls, the FAKE leather after 3 years had peeled and separated on the seats, arm rests on a $45,000 vehicle! The plastic door handles have broken causing for the whole door rest to be required to be replaced just to fix the handles. The cd radio hasnt worked since 2006. I also have a 2009 Acura rdx which also the radio doesnt work, just laughable $35,000 vehicle. You hear everything going on inside and outside of it, from screws to air. You hear it all. Im so done with Acura. My feelings were already hurt when they took the Legend name plate away in the USA. I am so, so disappointed and Lexus will be my new friend.

I bought brand new Acura MDX in 2007. Since I bought I have had issues related to either Accelerator noise, Air conditioning leakage, or low brakes and cracks and scratches in seat leather. I have been taking my MDX to fix these issues at Bloomington Acura dealership where I bought it. I am very much disappointed with Acura manufacturer as these issues have arisen at baby miles. I am also very upset and disappointed with Bloomington Acura Service Dept. as far as finding the source and fixing issues at the first place. I always have to bring my Acura MDX twice or three times before they are able to diagnose the exact symptoms. In the past, I had to take my Acura MDX three times to the service dept to figure out the source of Air-conditioning leakage.Currently, I am having issues with low brakes. Few months ago, the brake pedal is almost to floor before I am able to stop the car, I took my Acura MDX to Bloomington Acura service dept. I was told initially that they will try to find any brake fluid leakage, if not then they will have to change the Master Cylinder part to fix the issue. I agreed, eventually they had to change Master Cylinder but when I drove the car I still didnt see much difference because the brake pedal was still almost to the floor when pressing the brake pedal. So, I took my Acura MDX again to the service dept and they said everything is fine and up to the coding standards. There is nothing else is remaining to be done by them. They suggested to drive the MDX for couple more months and see if it comes back. Within three weeks the issue came back and again the brake pedal is almost to the floor. I have taken an appointment with the service dept again and will find out if they come up with some different stories. I am really disappointed first of all with the quality of Acura MDX because I have not driven my car much and it has only around 43K miles and yet I have brake issues. Also, what drives me crazy is that the service dept cant fix the issue although they are so called Acura Specialist which they charge tons of money. I wish they have experienced and certified people to fix cars in the first visit.

Just leased a 2019 Acura MDX Sport hybrid Technology. I am in love with it. The Active Damper suspension works amazing. Had a 2018 RDX Advance and the ride was not smooth at all. This MDX Hybrid just rides wonderful. I am getting 26MPG regularly, and I am not a light footed driver. While the infotainment is outdated - it sounds like it works better than the new system in the RDX. There needs to be LESS road noise Acura, and the interior dash and other surfaces need to be more luxurious, but overall this SUV is GREAT.

I have driven Honda/Acura since 1993 mostly with success until this last Acura. Because of social media, Acura service departments and other local owners as well as my own experience I know my current model of TL had many issues. I unfortunately had several of the models issue GPS disc drive, splitting of the dashboard, Power Steering leaks all of which can be verified by a simple google search. Here is the issue from the social media. They said contact Acura customer representative. The answer I received is that dashboards crack; but out of good faith we will fix yours for a $1000 which they claim is 50% of the cost. First, dashboards just do not crack. I do live in the south but I park in garages most of the time out of the sun. Second I had a recall on the Power Steering hose. They said it is fixed but I get a leak that I must fix. Confuses you? Yes, me too! They bottom line is there is no such thing as Acura customer support. They are rude and only out to help dealerships.

You would think an auto maker, who endangered the well being of my 2 year old daughter, would be quick to correct the problem of a defect on one of their cars. I took my daughter to the park on a hot day. When we were about to leave, I unlocked all the car doors as usual by placing my hand through the door handle. I opened the back door, placed the bag with my keys on the floor, buckled my daughter in her car seat, closed the door, and went to open the drivers door. All the doors were mysteriously locked. All the doors were unlocked, how could they just lock themselves? Also, with the 2013 Acura RDX, you cannot lock the door with the key fob in the car. I of course began to panic and a maintenance man broke the small window on the side so I could get my daughter out. Upset, I drove to Center Acura even though it was late in the day. They told me it was too late to check my car, but could look at it next Saturday. I asked how this could have happened and nobody knew. It was almost like nobody believed me. This is a pretty serious defect and I at least thought they could help me out with the cost of the window. Nope, I received a quote for $708 ($228 for the window and $480 for the labor). I then called later to ask if they charge to diagnose the problem. It was $160 just to look at it. Called the Corporation and they basically said it was up to the dealer. I cannot worry about the safety of my children so I am looking elsewhere for a car. BTW, that same window will be fixed for $270.

The colors are great, especially white pearl. The leather seats and wood on the dashboard are beautiful. The wheels are unique too. There are engine upgrades as well as stereo, heating/air conditioning, lighting, GPS and display upgrades. They offer satellite radio and cameras and parking sensors. Ive had some engine issues, I love the smooth ride though. The standard amount of people can fit in the vehicles. My car is roomy, no one has ever complained. There is good leg room as well. I was driving on the freeway at about 60 MPH, keeping up with morning traffic on US101N, when my ACURA MDX 2011 suddenly stalled. I was pressing my foot on the accelerator but it would not go faster; in fact, it started slowing down. I was able to coast off to an exit, luckily, and then the car completely stalled, and would not start back up again. The dealership, Acura of Marin happened to be right there, and I had bought the car from them, Certified used, just 5 months prior. Although the service department was really great, and my car was under warranty, I sold the car back to them at a loss. Turned out it was a faulty/defective fuel pump. They called it bad; I call it defective. I was lucky that neither my children and I who were in the car, nor anyone else got hurt at the time of incident. No warning lights ever came on. Would not buy another Acura again.

I have a 2015 Acura MDX that I purchased brand new and it has been garage kept ever since. The paint on the roof started to peel and slough off right above the front windshield between the windshield and the sunroof. I contacted the dealership that I bought the car from, and I was informed that this was a factory defect on this model and make car that they were aware of and they had extended the paint warranty. They did tell me that they would repair the defective area and this would take about 7 to 10 day. I asked for a rental or a loaner car but they said that their policy regarding extended warranties did not cover loaners or rentals. Due to this policy, I knew I would have to fork out several hundred dollar to pay for a rental car. Ok, I agreed to bring my car in to have the defect repaired and pay for my own rental. Three weeks later, when I went to drop my car off at Acura, I was informed by the service manager that there was a possibility that my windshield would break because it would have to be removed to properly fix the defective area. He did tell me that, if the windshield broke, it would be my responsibility and he recommended that in the event that this happened, I should file a claim with my insurance company. They did give me the option to have it painted without removing the windshield but that would void any further warranty on the paint job. My windshield was in good condition when I brought my car in to be painted. It had two small stars on it that had been previously repaired. The windshield did break during the repair and I was then forced to make a claim with my insurance and paid the $1000 deductible. In the end, I have had to pay my insurance deductible and the cost of a rental car for a week due to a defective paint job by Acura. I am now hoping my insurance company does not penalize me with higher rates.

Transmission problem at 101,*** miles - bought the car (2002 Acura MDX) used with 55k. Car was reliable until I saw my temp sensor trigger while driving on the freeway. I live in the desert so extremely hot temperatures are common. From what Ive read from former Acura mdx buyers is that transmission failures are common and inevitable. I made sure that the scheduled maintenance was performed to prevent the transmission failure. Im disappointed that even though my transmission had the oil jet kit that supposed to help lubricate gears inside I still have the transmission problem. Acura quoted me 4k dollars to fix it and my transmission specialist wants 3k. I feel like Acura should have these transmission replaced for free especially if you do your scheduled maintenance with them. Im going back to Toyota/Lexus.

Not only will the cars appearance draw attention, the inside was designed to provide the customer with a sense of pride for owning a Acura. Dealership totaled my car while in for repair and tried to hide it, they tried to pay me off not to leave reviews. 9/5/17 I received a call from the service department saying my car was involved in an incident at the shop that they had found that morning. I was told that they were unsure the extent of the damage at that time. I sent my mom down to get important papers out of my glove box as I was unable to get there. When she arrived, she found someone still working on the car and she opened the glove box to it full of water rushing out like a fish tank being dumped over. The next day I went down to the dealership to see my car myself and speak to management. We met with George who promised to bend over backwards to help me.I was continually pushed aside and treated like I was a nuisance. Once their insurance finally claimed it a total loss (over a week later) I then was left to do all the work, I had to fight for 104 days to get my car paid off. This was daily calls and emails and hundreds of hours of work. When it came time to get me into a new vehicle I was shuttled back and forth between salesmen (who were all friendly but couldnt help) and the 2012 that was comparable to my MDX was sold before I could get there to see it the next morning. I was hopeful theyd cut me a great deal on a replacement vehicle for all Id been through but alas all I got was a lousy $1000 off the price (something anyone could haggle down) and still paid over blue book, and 15% off floor mats and I had to pay for moldings to be put on to cover all the scratches on the passenger side. To get the $1000 off I had to fight for $250 of it and was told by Gene **, Fine if its a fight over $250 Ill do it just to get you done and out of here. He was incredibly rude to me and honestly I shouldnt have proceeded with the purchase of the new car especially since the only viable option was a 2015 MDX that now costs me an extra $150 per month and I had to start payments all over again.Once my car was paid I reached out to the dealership to try to work out some compensation for my time and losses like new tags, paying double insurance while I fought to get my car paid off, and interest accrued during that time. I sent a certified letter to George, and Gene called me in return, I asked to hear from George who refused to contact me and I never heard from again. I then put a complaint in with the BBB because I was receiving no response. George blank told the BBB they bent over backwards to help me and there was nothing more they could do.I then contacted Acura corporate directly (who were wonderful by the way) and they couldnt believe how I had been treated and they tried to help me. They arranged a call with the dealership which was between me, Acura and Gene. Gene again was not very friendly in his tone and took no responsibility for what had happened. His apology is, We are sorry this happened, and that WEVE had to deal with this. He finally offered me some compensation for my loses. $1000 with the stipulation that I leave no negative reviews and do not discuss the dealership negatively. And 3 years free oil changes (no way would I bring my car back to them).I refused his offer because I believe people need to know that while I was fighting the insurance I found out from their own tech and from their incident report I had to collect, MY CAR WAS ACTUALLY TOTALED 4 DAYS PRIOR TO THEM CONTACTING ME AND THEY TRIED TO HIDE IT!! Ive collected thorough documentation on all the events that occurred, and it is now my mission to warn people about this dealerships poor business practices. There are good people that work there that if they could have would have helped me more; these people are Bob **, Chris ** and Matt in sales.

I purchased two CPO Acuras. A 2014 RDX with 8000 miles on it and a 2015 TLX with 5,000 miles. Since then have performed all maintenance as specified through a dealer. I have had issues with both vehicles as described below. With under 50,000 miles on the RDX a check emissions light came on and I replaced a front rocker arm oil sensor switch. One month later the light came back on and I was told the the vehicle needed to have a software upgrade for the engine and transmission for $200. 3 days later the light came back on and now the Im told the rear oil sensor switch needs to be replaced for another $300.With TLX I experienced something I had never seen. Approximately 3 or 4 months after replacing the battery at the dealer the car shut down completely at an intersection with no power on to anything not even the emergency flashers. I was forced to call the police and a tow truck to get me to the dealer $400 later the dealer informed me that the replacement battery had failed. Of course they replaced the battery at no charge but no compensation for the cost of the tow or my time (I was on my way to a client). I would seriously advise anyone looking at spending the money on an luxury brand to be advised to careful consider not only the vehicle but how youll be treated afterwards.

Its an SUV, but its boxy squared off looking. Its more rounded and soft looking like a car. I have mine in a burgundy red. Inside is like a camel tan color leather seats. It has very tinted windows. The built in navigation is really nice. The navigation screen and radio screen is huge and very easy to operate. I like that I can control the radio with the buttons on the steering wheel. There is a third row that folds down. I keep it permanently folded down because we only have two kids. It is easy to fit in two car seats in the second row and would be easy to fit three. On the rare occasion that we do have the third row up it has sat three full sized adults in the third row comfortably. There is also a ton of room in the trunk. When I had to have my car serviced last month we got a loaner car. They gave us the Acura RDX. Its nice, but not quite as nice as the MDX and feels really cramped in comparison inside.

We purchased a new Bellanova White 2015 Acura TLX in June. We noticed that there were runs and pits or dimples in the paint in several areas of the car. After contacting the dealer, they took the car in to repair the paint run. The service manager took pictures and sent them to the Regional Rep who approved repainting the runs, but since a camera could not pick up the pits, the Rep said that he would have to personally inspect the vehicle. The service manager told us that his staff would inspect the entire vehicle and he sent it out to have the runs and pits repainted. After having our car for about 2 months, the pits in the paint are still not fixed by the dealer. The regional rep, who was scheduled to personally inspect our car on Oct 20, 2015 cancelled the viewing and to our knowledge has never seen the vehicle. We have contacted the Acura corporate office and they notified us that Acura will not take any responsibility for the pitting/dimples in the paint and they dont consider it a defect. BUYER BEWARE!!! Our only option at this time is to report this matter to the State Attorney General and apply for a solution through the states Lemon Law. My wife and I have owned 8 Hondas/Acuras since the 80s including 1 new RSX and 3 new TLs/TLX. This is the most disappointing new car, or used car purchase either of us have ever experienced. As I said earlier, BUYER BEWARE!

Acura has cars and SUVs. The cars range from sporty to convenient. My husband and I both drive Acura. My Integra is very spacious and comfortable. I have fit 4 people and a car seat in my Integra, and everyone had enough room to move around. There was wiggle room, enough leg space which is very important especially when traveling. I love all the features the car has. I also love how safe I feel in the car, considering I have a newborn child. My Integra is very personal. With it being a new car, I can set my phone up through Bluetooth and answer calls in the car, through the speakers, which is very important to me, be wise of work, but also safer.

I have been giving business to Acura since 2010 and I bought one TL, leased
I have been giving business to Acura since 2010 and I bought one TL, leased TL/RLX. You could say that I was a loyal Acura customer. Least as I had expected, Acura stole my money and screws me up. When I was leasing the 2014 RXL I signed out auto-payment via my checking account; for fear of continuing charges from my checking account. I asked my bank (Citibank) to stop the auto payment in November, 2015 and I had been sending checks every month since until I traded the 2014 RXL to 2016 RLX in May, 2016 in Acura of Westchester and as usual, the dealer pays off the remain value and I signed a new lease with Westchester Acura. So I thought, and you will think as well, that the 2014 RLX car is left behind me. Lo and behold, in July 2018, I received a letter both from Acura Financial services and collection agency charging me $1651.98. When I first called Acura Financial service, a man with British accent told me that I did not pay the last month payment (which is strange, even it were true that I did not pay the last payment, it would only be $825.99, not $1651.98). When I called them back again from my vocation on 07/31/18, Acura financial told me a totally different story -- Because Acura overcharged me 3 months (twice of $825.99), I called my bank and the bank reversed the overcharge. Now Acura wants me to pay extra money, when in fact that the dealer had already bought off the older car and I am under new lease over 2 years! Acura had overcharged me more than 3 months and only month even charged me 3 TIMES! That is stealing because by contract, I only authorized Acura to charge me once a month! Not only that Acura lying to me by saying that they had been trying to contact me during the past 2 years, which is the biggest lie in the world -- because I have never received any mail/call regarding the 2014 RLX until July, 2018 and I have been paying the monthly payment of the 2016 RLX every month. I called Westchester Acura and spoke with the General Manager who was angry as well and states that he will contact Acura Financial Services in the morning. Regardless what outcome it will be, I have lost trust and confidence towards Acura and would like to share this experience with you guys, especially the potential buyers -- stay away from Acura unless you want to be screwed up and potentially have your credit scores affected negatively and being bullied and discriminated like this! I plan to go to court if this matter is not resolved. Watch out giving business to Acura! Watch your wallet because Acura may steal from you like what they did to me!

I am very happy with the variety of cars Acura had to offer. Lots of good choice and models to suit my buying needs. I would definitely buy another car from them in the future. You can choose the color of the paint on the exterior as well as the color of the leather that resides on the inside of the vehicle. Supremely awesome!!! They have heating, power steering, anti-lock brakes, Sirius CM, good windshield wipers, heated seats, stick shift or manual transmission. I can also fit my Wifey in the passenger seat and my 13 year old in the 2nd row as well as my 10 year old in the /he row as well as a whole bunch of luggage in the trunk.
