Motorcycle Troubleshooting

Bad brakes
This could be due to a lot of reasons. Fortunately, maintaining your bike’s brakes is easy. If the brakes feel funny while in use, then you likely need to bleed them out. Find your bike’s brake levers and its bleed screws. Then use them to bleed your brakes out.
You can also inspect the brake pads. Check your bike’s manual to see if your brake pads are too thin. If they are, replace them. Easy enough.

Bad drive chain
If your drive chain feels off, it likely doesn’t have enough lube or it’s become too loose. It’s important to keep your chain lubricated because you’ll crash if it snaps. Additionally, routinely tightening the chains will help prevent them from snapping. Keep in mind that drive chains will naturally loosen with age, so you’ll have to replace them eventually.

Electrical problems
Electrical problems are seen in all types of motorcycles. These parts can be damaged by water, dust, mud, or even mice. Electrical panel problems are problems seen in things like engine, light, self start. If you have knowledge of electrical toxins, you can solve such problems at home. If not, take your motorcycle to a workshop or official service center. Also, as there is a battery in the electrical parts, its battery should be checked from time to time because a dead battery harms your bike.

Poor Throttle Response
Many drivers feel weak in the throttle response after driving a certain number of kilometers. This problem occurs in all types of motorcycles. In that case, you need to look at the motorcycle’s air filter, fuel filter, and spark plug.
You can clean it yourself at home. If all of these are in good condition then the next problem may be a problem with the throttle cable or clutch plate. If you know these things, you should check them yourself or take them to the service center.

Problems with starting a motorcycle
This problem usually occurs in the winter months. It appears on motorcycles with any brand of carburetor engine. Most of the motorcycles currently running have carburetor engines. The problem of not starting immediately is due to cold and low-quality fuel. So to avoid this, you have to clean the spark plug of the motorcycle. After cleaning the spark plug, the motorcycle can be started by pulling the choke. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person.

Great factory test rides here! Zero Motorcycles gives you the normal marketing talk along with some prep information about riding their electric motorcycles. It is all well presented. But the real gem of the experience is a cool 30 minute test ride in the surrounding area. It's a beautiful setting for a ride that allows you to get a real feel for Zero's line of motorcycles. Led well on great bikes. Thanks for the test ride!

Zero is making some really INCREDIBLE strides in producing some awesome electric motorcycles. I bought a Zero DS from SF Moto in San Fran and I couldn't be happier. I have had nothing but good experience when calling customer service at Zero. They have always answered my questions and even went so far as to help with tracking the shipment of my bike to the dealer.

Only Test Drove 2018 SR model with 14.4KWh. battery from Elk Grove Power Sports as Michael is great sale man that he really gone through 2018 ZERO SR model. I had drove it, this bike is very solid feeling. So far I haven't purchase this bike because it's not for everyone in lack of models to select. As of my red-flag: Handle bar is little too low plus seat isn't that comfortable plus no power saving LED. headlight. Zero rather use 100 watt Halogen for headlight that you lose more than 1 mile from your range per fully charge to 14.4KWh. battery. Don't get it wrong; overall it's great electric motorcycles but Zero needed to do even more to sell more motorcycles as the competition will rise up soon.

Have owned a Zero SR for about 3 years now, and have been very happy with the experience. I had a gas bike previously and grew tired of the maintenance as a regular rider (mostly commuting and short joy rides). Being able to plug into a basic wall outlet has been nice, and being able to control the levels of power output, regenerative breaking, and engine regen (similar to engine braking on a regular bike) through the app is a nice touch. As for the maintenance that I mentioned earlier, all that you really need to do, are check your air in your tires and the tension of your belt. The brakes last forever with the regenerative braking set to 100%, and obviously no oil changes, plugs, or tuning of the engine (not even an engine, just an electric motor). It's a perfect bike for people who commute around 100ish miles (I get around 130ish miles on back roads/city riding, and 80 or so miles per charge if riding on highways), and want to accelerate quickly at stop lights. If you love going for long rides and going over 100mph, this bike probably isn't for you (some fo the newer versions have faster charging and higher top speed, though). It's been a perfect bike for me. I do my ride and then plug it back in, when I get home...low hassle.

I brought my bike in for a crazy noise issue and got the Best customer service of my life. They were super nice and understanding on the phone and even helped me unload my bike from the trailer. They fixed the noise issues within 2 days and even replaced my cracked mirror and rusty kickstand spring for free. Better customer service than I could've ever hoped for, thanks zero .
