Teased: Mazda CX-60 Will Be Built For Those Who Love Driving
[BACK]

Posted On: March 1, 2022
Mazda has teased its upcoming CX-60 yet again, this time giving us a sneak peek at the elegantly styled exterior. Like the current range of offerings, which was recently extended with the new CX-50, the newcomer boasts an evolution of the brand's Kodo: Soul of Motion design language. Instantly recognizable as a Mazda, the SUV is seen through wood paneling, and, while it's still difficult to get a good look at the CX-60, the slim-looking LED headlights are visible and so too are the premium-looking alloy wheels. The rear appears notably bigger than the CX-5. The bigger body is placed upon Mazda's new rear-wheel-drive platform, which will be implemented in future sedan and SUV offerings, with inline-six engines and hybridization all part of the package. The CX-60 will also be the brand's first plug-in hybrid. This isn't the first time we've caught a glimpse of the CX-60. In the past month, the Japanese brand has released a short video previewing the tastefully appointed interior. Mazda says it will be unlike any other model before it, with a blend of interesting materials coming together to create a harmonious, welcoming experience. Maple wood, Nappa leather, and Japanese textiles work together to create a plush environment. We first got a preview of the CX-60 last year, when leaked images of the Audi Q5 fighter surfaced on Instagram. From the images pictured below, we could get a better glimpse of the front end, which also features a chrome-trimmed radiator grille and an uncluttered design overall. Along with the future CX-70 and CX-90 models, the CX-60 is likely part of Mazda's premium ambitions. The brand's UK boss said recently that the Japanese automaker has plans to take on Lexus in the luxury segment. The aforementioned plug-in hybrid model will gain motivation from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with an electric motor. This, says Mazda, will deliver over 300 horsepower. However, the brand has said its premium models will be powered by six-cylinder engines, which would pair well with the peaceful, effortless luxury Mazda is portraying with the CX-60. The straight-six Skyactiv-X powertrains will feature a mild-hybrid 48-volt system which will, most likely, provide smooth performance. It's not long now before Mazda unveils the CX-60, which is set to debut on March 8. It will enter the compact luxury segment against the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, but sadly won't be making it stateside.

Back in January, a pebble hit my windshield on my way to the airport. Needless to say, I had damage the size of a .50 cent piece. I called my insurance company and they use a TPA that replaces windshields for them. It took the company 6 weeks to install my new windshield, because every time the windshield was delivered it was cracked. Just Monday, April 25th, I am driving to work and another pebble hit my windshield. I did not think much of it, until then I saw a spider crack going up my windshield... Not again! Is there a defect with these windshields? Then, it takes 4-6 weeks for a replacement to be installed because Mazda is SO backed up from California and then they arrive broken. I would appreciate Mazda to respond and to fix this issue, as this is a serious defect! It is against the law to drive with a broken windshield. And then be told that there is a 6-8 week back order. One window replacement company told me 3 months... are you kidding me! Mazda - you need to look into a recall!!! If not, you will have class-action on your hands!

I have had to replace my brakes and rotors twice on my 2009 Mazda 6. The first time I replaced the brakes and rotors, the car had 23,180 miles. Mazda did not admit fault, but basically covered this up by good willing my rotors and only charging me an inflated price for the brake pads and rotors. I had to replace the brakes and rotors a second time at 68,012 miles (36,975 miles after the first time). I filed a formal complaint through Mazdas corporate headquarters and got nowhere. They say its normal. The mechanic who just replaced my brakes and rotors for the second time and has 20 years of experience completely disagrees. I have a string of emails between Mazdas corporate rep and myself that I can provide. Mazda is completely unwilling to do anything and refused to even pass my case along to a supervisor. I am concerned that I will have to continue to absorb the cost for a product defect that Mazda is not willing to admit it happening. I would like to pursue legal action.

Had many problems from the start, dealer service was no help. Things kept getting worse. When I got it tire psi was at 49 psi, should be at 29. Adjustment cams on control arms off zero so toe in front back out of alignment, wears out tires fast. When I locked car the gas door pops open. Tables constantly reboots when it’s driven in the rain or when it’s washed, there’s a terrible film on the windshield and it’s pitted. One mechanic says it looks like a new muffler was put on, the body sags about an inch left rear wheel and clanked until a friend fixed, still sags a little at 22,000 miles. Lose inside panel. Overheats when idling. Dealer service is horrible, been to 5. Refused to refund extended maintenance. Dealer cashed my refund from Warrantech, kept money. Warrantech sent me a second check and then the dealer wants me to give them that money so they can take their cut and send back to me. Mazda North America is no help. There are other problems. This is my third new Mazda lemon.

This is my 3rd Mazda and all have been completely reliable and cost effective without being “stodgy” looking. The 2019 CX-5 is fun to drive while still being economical, supremely comfortable and safe! It’s loaded with so much amazing technology that Mazda employs a tech person to explain it all!

The car itself is a cheaper version of a Toyota. Spend the few extra dollars for the Toyota and get a manufacture that stands by their cars. Mazda is having a big issue with the CMU chips failing for the entertainment screen. My car was 3 months past the warranty coverage and even knowing that they are having problems with these they refused to do anything. Even the replacement motherboards are failing. Without the CMU chip you can’t play the radio. This is not something that should fail after 3 1/2 years. I had to spend $1500 so I could listen to the radio. You get what you pay for. Beware of Mazda.

I have a 2008 Mazda CX-9 with 139,000 miles on it. I bought the car because Motor Trend gave it import SUV of the year and due to its positive reviews on maintenance. So far weve had pretty good luck with this SUV until now. From the research Ive done and from whats been confirmed by both Mazda USA customer service and a local dealer service the transfer case out of the factory is in fact faulty and did in fact ruin the transmission. Ive done extensive research on this and this is absolutely a known issue that the transfer case is ruining these transmissions. Ive also discovered that the Mazda dealerships in my area are selling upwards of 4 transfer cases per week and often out of stock due to this replacement of the faulty transfer case coming out of the factory. I cannot understand why Mazda hasnt sent out a bulletin to its valued customers regarding this. I can only imagine the lack of transparency on this is due to the large financial impact it may have. I am contacting you to request that you take this issue to whomever can help resolve my case and provide significant financial assistance towards the replacement of my transmission and faulty transfer case. Ive been told that Mazda apparently has a software update that would fix this issue--but I find it impossible to believe as I have never received any notification of this being an issue or any software update to fix this faulty transfer case. I find it hard to believe that a software upgrade is going to fix a mechanical issue and cannot find any evidence of this software update being legitimate.Mazda supposedly makes a quality product and supposedly cares about customer loyalty and service. I would say that not telling your customers about a faulty part (known issue on factory transfer case) that DESTROYS the transmission and causes SIGNIFICANT financial hardship is not fair or reasonable customer service.

I would like to know why I got rust spot on the side trim of the door on the back by the window between the back and front door of my 2004 Mazda3. I had it on both sides of my back doors. The body shop said he has never heard or seen that before on any door of any vehicle. It is under the trim and the only way to fix it is to replace the whole door. So, I would be disappointed that I have a car that is this nice and have something like this. This is why I would tell people not to buy because there is no excuse for this to happen.

I wanted to add my thoughts on the Mazda 2. At first I was excited about my brand new 63 plate Mazda 2. Having driven it for a couple of months with no problems I was just parking when the brakes stopped working. I pressed the brake pedal but it wouldnt budge. I ended up under a lorry as I was only parking. The damage to me and the car was minimal but I have lost all confidence in the car. I have taken it back to Mazda who have told me after carrying out tests there is nothing wrong with the brakes. I simply do not believe them and I will never drive this car again. I wonder if anyone else has had similar problems??

It has been good so far. It is good on gas and seems to be mostly reliable. Has a pretty big trunk for a little car. Runs pretty good. It is great for me and my daughter but has a good size back seat if we want to take others with us. It has some updated technology so that is nice, I can connect my phone and it is really easy to drive. It was the car I was able to get approved for so that is what I bought. However, the headlights have to be turned on and off manually, my old car had running lights so I didnt have to worry about the lights all the time. It is pretty low to the ground so it is a big change from an SUV.

I want to report that I have issues with my CX-5 and I believe there is a design flaw. In my first week of purchasing the vehicle, March; the windshield cracked (18+) from a rock chip. It was then replaced and nearly two months ago, Thanksgiving time, another rock chip caused the windshield to crack (18+) so it was then replaced. Then recently this past Friday, a rock chip also caused the windshield to crack (14+). This car is not even 1 year old & the windshield cracked 3 times. I believe there is a design flaw with the windshield, or the process for making the windshields is not correct. There are cars on the road for over 10 years old which get rock chips and do not crack. There is a problem here.

2009 Maxda 6S was designed with a security lockout module, but information regarding bypassing or disabling module, or repairing module is not made available to customers. The repair cost is estimated to be $1400.00 and only Mazda is authorized to perform the repair. Additionally, Ford & Mazda appears to control all flow of information regarding complex repairs. At one point there were several post on forums regarding this problem but now they have been removed. However, none of the post offered a viable solution which indicated to me that the manufacturer hires techs to post ridicules comments on the forum. Presently the car will not start ...

I purchased my vehicle 2 years ago and just recently got to 20,00 miles and had to have the rear disc brake pads replaced because they barely passed inspection. I called the customer service number and they said they would gladly replace them free of charge if I went back to the dealer immediately that day to get it done. I then learned that this is a flaw that some of the CX-5s have including the current models. I leased my vehicle so I will be returning it before the 40,000 miles when it will probably need them again. It is expensive to replace them every 20,000 miles when they should last at LEAST 40,000 miles. If I owned this vehicle who would have to keep replacing them when they wear sooner than they should, ME!!! That is an expense I can not afford.I also have an issue that when you open the back hatch there is not enough light to see what you are doing. I like the way the car handles in the snow, which is why I leased it to begin with, to see how well it did. I like the car and would love to buy another when my lease is up but I dont know if I will because of the expense of replacing the discs every 20,000 miles.

On July 25, 2015 my new 2016 CX-5 only two months old did not want to start. I checked the battery and it showed it had power but my car was as dead. I called my dealer at Lodi N.J. where I bought the car for advice and Rahsheed told me to call Mazda roadside assistance and I did. Spoke with a Mazda roadside assistant and told her what was going on with my car and she told me a flatbed tow truck will be at my location within a hour. One hour later comes the flatbed tow truck and I asked the driver if I could ride along and so I did. We get to Koeppel Mazda Queens NY. I tell the tow truck driver that I am going inside to let the manager know that we are dropping off my car. The manager Andrew ** steps outside with me and as the tow truck is backing up and bringing my new car down it scrapes and damaged my new Thule bike rack. Andrew the manager tells him to stop what he was doing and that the car needs to be lowered on the street. At this point the driver is getting frustrated and levels his flatbed truck in which he forgets to put the rear straps and chain hooks on the rear of my NEW CAR and also forgets to put my NEW Cx-5 off off of neutral and failed to put it in park and Failed to deploy the emergency parking brakes on my car. He then drives forwards, fast and slamming on his brakes causing my Brand New (Mazda CX-5 GT with Tech package) to shoot forwards and crashing into the back of his tow truck causing front end damage. Three Mazda certified workers seen the accident including the service department. Manager Andrew ** and I were all in shock on what just happened. Andrew and I took photos of the damaged SUV and Andrew told me that he would take care of the report. I advised Andrew that I don want my car back due to the loss of my resale value caused by Mazda. On 8/14/2015 I stopped by the repair shop that was fixing my car to get some things I left in the car. To my horror my car was in the back of the shop dirty with my whole SUV front end sitting on top of my cars roof, not to mention both my front windows was rolled down getting dust and dirt all over the place and not to mention there goes my new car smell and the body shop wasnt even certified Mazda repair shop. I know that when a new car rolls off the assembly line everything is calibrated, the transducer in the front of my Mazda emblem with the laser on my windshield work hand in hand so that my auto brake assist work properly. Now my new car will have a damage report on carfax that I did not cause, all Mazdas fault. Why did my new car did not want to start in the first place? It was only two months old with just 2000 miles on it. Mazda Roadside assistance contracted the tow truck company NYC Tire Auto Care Inc. The incident happened in front of multiple employees of Mazda (Manager: Andrew ** (Service department associate: Izzy ** and two others from Parts Department that will vouch what happened. I will now lose thousands of dollars on my trade in when I decide to trade inmy 2016 CX-5. I stated that I dont want my car back to every Mazda personnel I spoke with due to the fact that it was Mazdas fault. I just want a brand new CX-5 with everything I put in but sadly I am getting the runaround. Even my insurance company called in my behalf and they also getting the runaround.

I purchased a 2015 Mazda CX7 from Looms Ford in Fredericksburg Virginia June of 2015. At the time of purchase the vehicle had 37K. Looms Ford knew that the battery was going, told me when theres a problem, contact us. When the car wouldnt start about 6 weeks later, I called and they informed me, not their problem. The battery blew up under the hood, had it towed, mechanic said he never seen anything like it. Thats the first problem. Car made a whistle noise, come to find out its the turbo. Mind you this car has only 64K miles on it.Called Mazda, told them the turbo had failed. They want records of all maintenance. I can give them records of battery situation because the car was towed. But when it comes to changing oil or filters, I am quite capable. Now they wont fix turbo because I chose to change my own oil instead of paying someone else to do it. Mazda us nothing but a letdown. I wouldnt recommend a Mazda vehicle to my worst enemy. I will NEVER buy another Mazda.

First off these cars are priced well, very affordable. Bought a 2013 Mazda 5 van as my 1st new car. It got great gas mileage 22mpg city and 31 on highway. The 5 looked sporty and slick with pearl white paint. I was very gentle on the car to break in the drivetrain; I would start it and let it warm up for ~30secs. But after the 1st oil change at 2900 miles at the dealer of course the engine would shutter upon start. When putting the car in reverse the engine would rev up to 3000rpms without any input. When trying to pass on freeway the check engine light would appear. When the wife bumped a neighborhood street curb the van would drift to the right. Took it to the dealer and service manager was disrespectful and defensive. He literally pointed his finger at me and accused me of street racing!? Really guy in a van. He said the check engine light was due to WOT passes. Yeah right, tell me the code on scanner. No sir you would not understand. I informed him that I was a certified ASE tech and been working on cars for over 15 years. He later told me only techs he had specialized in Mazda. Now that I have brought in the van this early in ownership I could imagine the problems down the road. I dont know the driving routine in Japan but this brand is as fragile as an old Jaguar. So I traded it in for an Explorer and 0 problems yet.

I took my Mazda SUV for repair. The problem was the wheel bearing and the price to repair was $750.00 plus $135.00 for diagnostic totaling $885.82. I told the sales person, if you forgo the $135.00, I will have you fix it. To my surprise, she said no so I paid the $135.00 and left with my car. She did not only lose a job but she also lost a customer as well. This is not good customer service...

I purchased a 2008 CX9 certified pre-owned Mazda on 10/7/2011 and Maple Shade Mazda confirmed I had 80% left on the brakes. Six month later on March 27 2012, I had to take the car in because it was making a noise when I stopped. The dealer said I need new rotors and new brakes. I had driven the car 5000 miles since I bought the car. I felt the dealer made a false representation when they stated in writing I had 80% left on my brakes. Dealer refused to install the brakes at their expense which is what I believe they should have done. I dont believe I could have used 50 of the brakes in six months or 5,000 or 6,000 miles.

Mazda CX-7 2011: In June of 2014 I lost my first turbo, at 54,000 miles. After having the turbo replace it turned out that my fuel pump was also bad, had that replaced. In July of 2015 a weird noise began coming from the area of my turbo. Brought it to the Mazda dealership and was told it was probably a wrist pin. Brought my car to another dealership and it turned out a few bolts between the turbo and manifold had broke and the gap was causing the whistling noise. Had to pay for bolt replacement out of pocket (over $1000 because they also insisted on replacing the seals on the turbo). November of 2015 my second Turbo went. I was over the Warrantied mileage and warranty was denied. The turbo warranty from previous installation had also expired after 12 months. Replaced turbo at my own expense. January of 2016 the car flashed a check engine and oil light. Pulled over and immediately shut the car down. After having the car towed to a repair place it was discovered that the crankshaft bearing had gone bad and destroyed the motor. I basically have a worthless car with only 67 thousand miles on it.

In a previous post of about one month ago, I stated that the compressor had gone out on my new 2016 Mazda 6 GT. Can you imagine this, the dealer repaired it 4 weeks ago. Now its in the shop again for the same thing. Compressor/air conditioning system went out. This car has about 3000 miles on it. I contacted Mazda on all levels because I want a new car. I am still waiting to hear from the dealership. I currently have their loaner. Trust me. This is so very frustrating!

Bought a gorgeous lookin 2016 Mazda Miata, supposedly having undergone 150+ point inspection. After continuing to add air to the tires day after day and having a valve stem replaced, being informed the tires suffered from dry rot, not safe for extended use- replaced the tires ($800 setback). Texts and calls went ignored.

I would like to warn you people out there about this dealership, seems to be a common theme with Mazda. This link verifies that the entire Mazda corporation has a systemic problem with accountability and safety measures. A dealership that sells a vehicle to a senior citizen with dementia is an all time low, unless youre Midway Mazda which seems to be acceptable. You can get this information from the MVSA BC complaints and cases against this particular dealership under the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA). Actually you can see it online as well, because it did go to court.Furthermore, they have had at least 9 abandoned cases all in a row, dating back to 2008 courtesy of the MVSA (Motor Vehicle Sales Authority which is Non-Profit, meaning donations and taxpayer funded) in which the MVSA manager indicates they lost those files, updating the computer system. MVSA is no better than the slum dealership it represents. They talk their way out of any type of action. If youre thinking about filing a complaint against Mazda through MVSA, make sure you read the policies and know your rights. Funny thing is that the MVSA Manager didnt even know what his own policies were, and when I told him, he was in disbelief and denial. If its in writing then its legal, talk is cheap. I waited over 9 months just to get a meeting, because they kept blowing me off, and didnt even bother to tell me why? This dealership falsified the inspection reports and would not take care of any issues brought up that were safety hazards, or even non-safety issues that cost me money out of my pocket. Its simple, downright neglectful and deceitful. The entire process from start to end was absolutely ridiculous from non-service to the product. I have been dealing with this issue for just about 2 years. I have wrote reviews, and sent letters to every organization and governing body under the sun. I have all the proof in the world, and civil court is the only way to go now. I would think twice about this dealership and I will make sure everyone knows about it too. I also would not buy from the Nissan next to this dealership as it is the same owner. Make yourselves accountable, instead of hiding behind poor policy, excuses and lies, because in the end it will hit your wallet! Disappointed taxpayer/owner of a Mazda.

My Mother bought a brand new Mazda 626, this was a long time ago. SO long ago, that CNN news was just getting started. My mother was killed in this car while driving home from work, she hit a telephone pole at 45 mph. She was removed from the car and taken to the hospital where she died shortly thereafter. We were stymied as to what happened. No one knew, then we found out, way down the road, through CNN news that the car had a history of the ignition turning itself off if you had a heavy key ring. Of course there were accidents all over the US many fatal, some just injuries, etc. I found this out about this car, about a year or more after the accident. Recently I did a search on this Mazda 626, and I couldnt find a thing about it. Was all information removed about these cars, what happened, has Mazda fixed this problem? I hope so, as a year ago I bought a Mazda 5 which so far, has been a great little car. It took me 28 years to be able to buy a Mazda. BTW, Hasnt GM just spent a lot of time apologizing to its customers for the same problem? Wonder how many people died in the GM cars? Mazda didnt even apologize.

Was shopping for CX-5, and when you know how difficult and stressful it is to deal with dealership, you know how great it is to be taken care by a great sales person. For the first time I walked in, Mr. Jason **, took care of me with no pressure, taking the time to answer all my questions, printing me clear and detailed sales offers for financing and leasing, and for the first time in my experience, was trustworthy! Went several times to meet him for questions, until the time we were going to sign for lease. Provided him with all requested necessary documents and information the evening before. On May 30th, 2018, after 3 hours spent with him with all paperwork’s, we had to wait for his Financial Manager Nick, who was supposedly too busy in assisting other clients, when his office was empty. Jason could not even have an appointment schedule from this busy person. He asked me to pay half of the deposit to hold the car for me, and charged my credit card. Therefore, he asked me to come the next day, May 31st, in confirming that Nick would call me to set up an appointment, and to confirm me the credit approval and monthly payments amount. Waited until 1:40PM to contact Jason because I have not received any feedback from anyone. Around 2:00PM, Jason texted me back in apologizing that he was assisting clients, but no information regarding appointment, credit approval or anything related to the lease offer. Only because the Financial Manager is again too busy and so well organized that he cannot delivered. Explained to Jason, that if they are not interested by my potential account, it will force me to seek for another dealer offer in order to not lose the benefit of 0% interest financing/lease special May sales. At 3:00PM, just a quick text to let me know I was approved for the amount, but no appointment still... After many back and forth with several Mazda dealerships, I accepted another offer to get my car ready that evening at the last minute! Texted back to Jason to express my disappointment about his Financial Manager and the General Manager of this dealership, who both let him down and made him lose the sale. Also requested to be refunded of my deposit charged on my credit card.As of June 4th, no news about either my refund, or a call from any Manager to apologize or anything else. So, I called to speak with Mr. Mark ** who is registered on BBB as General Manager, but no one as his phone or can transfer my call... Called 4 times to be transferred on voicemail, so asked to General Manager to call me back, and left them all information needed to understand the situation. Mr. Chris **, General Manager called me back, but had no information about the situation. Expressed my disappointment about the way his dealership is operated, his Financial Manager who did not delivered, how it is a shame to not support and provide resources to his great sales persons to close sales, and claimed for my refund. He asked my credit card number again, because he claimed no one will have it and it is the only way I could receive my refund... wonder what they do with card receipts after you pay, and may be they do have a shoe box accounting records systems! He also told me not to be worry about his management style… Provided him with my card information, and he claimed I will be refunded same day. He told me that he would talk with his Financial Manager to understand the situation, but I advised him to talk with Mr. Jason ** who lost the sale because of Financial Manager.I feel very sorry for Jason because, from the beginning to the end of the process during my 4 visits, he offered me a great service and beyond expectations compared to all dealerships from several brands I went to for months for car shopping. He was a trustworthy sales persons (which is very rare) with a consultant approach, very patient with me in explaining in details all my questions, and professional. Even this dealership is 1 hour drive from where I live, I really wanted to close the sales with him. In summary, I would not recommend this dealership if you don’t have the time to be lied around, and have to wait for the Financial Manager to deign to do his job professionally. If you are not in hurry, well then asked for Mr. Jason ** who is the person I would recommend.

I bought a car here 6 months ago. I had some bad experience but my wife insisted on buying something, so I did. Paperwork included many extra charges. They sold a prepaid maintenance plan - charged us for premium plan but paperwork said basic plan. Took me a while to get the errors corrected. Recently my car had a recall. Called the dealer. Literally, the conversation with dimitry went like this:I: I heard there is a Mazda recall. Dmitry: Yea, dont worry, we will call you. I: this sounds bad. Whats the issue? Dmitry: hey, no one died. So dont worry. I: are you sure? You sound so casual about it. Dmitry: are you looking for a free loaner or some free things? I: what? You sound bad. Is there a manager I can talk to. Dmitry: this is as good as it gets. What else can I do for you.WOW! Called the manager later on. Sal. He was no better either. This dealership has NASTY scammers masquerading as salespeople and service folks. Try calling the service dept to talk to a service specialist. You will NOT be able to reach anyone, no matter how many times you try. I regret buying Mazda and especially from this dealer. I will not go back to this dealer.

2010 Mazda 3 - Another one bites the dust. I work from the house, do mainly highway driving and put about 100 miles a week if that on the car right now. I was driving on the highway and RPM started to rev up; I couldnt switch gears and clutch gave out from underneath me. Luckily, I was able to roll off the highway when I noticed the problem. Of course, one problem leads to another. The battery then died at the shop. I had to replace it as well. This comes not even a month after the rotors for brakes hit the fan. This has got to be one of the most problematic cars I have seen. A clutch dying in less than 3 years and the worst part is my car was due off its lease next month. I assume this to be a manufacturer defect, and maybe one day they will admit to a faulty clutch. As for customer service, its some of the worst I have ever seen. They review your concerns with an eraser or write with one. Horrible company and car!

I have a 2010 Mazda CX9 with approximately 23,000 miles on it. Last week, it was parked at the airport parking garage, and the power lift gate could not be closed, neither with the automatic button, nor manually, so I called the Mazda roadside assistance for help. Since the car was inside the parking garage, it was not possible to tow it. So, they connected me to some local dealership for some possible remote assistance, but the service center of the dealership was already closed. The only option I was left with, was to drive the car back home with the lift gate open (For sure, I didnt want to keep my car in the garage overnight with the lift gate open). Since the lift gate could not be closed due to malfunctioning, while coming out of the parking garage, it hit the concrete roof beam, and had severe damage.Mazda dealership found that the liftgate could not be closed due to malfunctioning of the motor. Since the car is within the warranty period, this will be fixed by them. But they denied to take the responsibility of the body damage, that was caused by this. Initially, they questioned why the roadside assistance was not called. When we gave them the details of my call to the roadside assistance, then they changed the statement to body damage is not covered under warranty. I understand that the body damage is normally not covered in warranty, but in this case, the damage occured because of the malfunctioning of the motor, which was under warranty. If the motor worked fine, then the body damage would not have occurred. So Mazda should take the responsibility of the damage that was caused by them. When asked what is the Mazda-recommended way to handle this situation, the zonal manager of Mazda told you could have left the car in the parking garage (with the liftgate completely open) and taken a rental car back home.

My wife has a 2007 Mazda CX-7 (rated in Consumer Reports as a Used Car to Avoid) that she purchased new in 2007. Over the past year, she has had instances where it begins to make a terrible noise around the front end and when she checks the tires, the lug nuts for the front drivers side tire are loose to almost falling off. She has had this looked at by multiple car repair and tire specialty shops and all have told her nothing is wrong with the studs or the nuts and they just werent tightened properly. The last time it was looked at (just a week ago!) the mechanic was planning to replace the studs and then notified her that there was just a build-up of rust/corrosion at the base of the studs that wasnt allowing the nuts to tighten all the way. She just called me a few minutes ago in tears because she once again heard the terrible noise, got out and checked the tire and four nuts were almost off! Would love to know if this is a problem other CX-7 or other Mazda model-owners have experienced. Very frustrating!

OK, the car drives and handles well so thats why it gets two stars but otherwise owning it has been awful. The computer needs to update? Reboots in the middle of driving. No kidding, literally on the road, using the navigation I spent several hundred dollars for, the cars computer reboots. Not once, twice. I take it to the dealership, the guy says yeah, the computer needs to be updated, no big deal. Then there is the computer not recognizing my phone 9 times out of 10, including when I wanted to dial 911 to report an accident. So useful! Even when it does recognize the phone, want to play Pandora? Better have the phone on and Pandora open or else nope. Open phone and turn on Pandora after the car decides it cant find them? Nope. Not going to recognize Pandora until you turn the car off and back on again. Want to use the iPod that is literally plugged into it? Maybe. We might let you. Unless we refuse to recognize it until you reboot the iPod and turn off and on the car. Then the drivers seat ripped within a few months of purchase. I took it in, it took weeks to replace the seat. Then the plastic piece that protects the electronics under the drivers seat broke. I took it in, got it fixed, that took weeks because the part had to be ordered. It broke again. I got it fixed again. It just broke this evening, and I just dont even know what to do. I deeply regret purchasing this vehicle.

Purchased a CX9 new in 2007. Drove it with a few problems like the Prox key losing its program forcing us to buy a new one at the cost of $300 plus $100 programing. But thats the short of it... At 59000 miles I walk into the dealer and have them doing some recall work on the car. I tell them its transmission is kind of slipping. Service guy says dont worry and recommends a trans service... I say ok... Come back a month later ask for trans service and he says, Its over drivetrain warranty now. Maybe the service will help. Sounds like the trans is shot. The part alone is $9000 and removal is another $3000. Has no record of my issue at prior visit. Says there is no warranty. Said you dont service your car here so we wont help you. I ended up spending another $3k out of pocket having a trans shop rebuild the trans. If youre thinking about it... RUN FROM MAZDA!

I purchased a new Mazda CX9 in 2008. It was delivered in June of that year. Since then, my husband who is a mechanic has performed the oil changes and tire rotations. We had our local garage perform the maintenance. My car, at just over 3 years, just crossed the 60,000 mile mark - 60,508 to be exact. The drive train failed. I do not understand how a car could be running fine one week and as soon as it crosses the magic number it can not run. My husband spoke with our dealership, and they wouldnt even discuss options that he could look into himself. Now I have an undriveable piece of metal sitting in the driveway, while I try and pull together the several thousand dollars necessary to make it run. I am very disappointed at the lack of assistance and customer service from Mazda. I would very strongly recommend not buying a new vehicle from Mazda ever. Any company that will promise you the world and then basically thumb their nose at you should not be allowed to operate.

Engine Failure. My wifes car that we both really enjoyed until recently. I did a lot of research on this vehicle before we purchased it and the price was excellent with the Tech option. All was ok until a few weeks ago. Started noticing the smell of burnt oil in the cabin when we were stopped at an intersection. Came home, looked under the vehicle and didnt notice anything. This continued on each time we used it (we carpool so it doesnt get driven daily) and then eventually I noticed oil spots on our driveway. Thought it may be either dripping from the filter or the bolt so I decided to do an oil change which I noticed that there was an excessive amount of oil present on the underside of the chassis and also in the plastic shroud that must be removed to access the oil pan and filter. The bolt and filter were on tight so the oil was coming from another location.Drove the vehicle into work the following day and again the smell of burning oil (like oil that would get onto the exhaust) was present when the vehicle was running but at a stop. Parked in a spot where there were no oil spots and I went into work. Roughly 3 hours later I had a look at the vehicle and noticed a 5 round oil spot under the vehicle. Contacted the Mazda dealership and drove it in for an appointment that afternoon. They had the vehicle for 2 hours and I came there after work to check up on what they found. First words out of the technician were we ordered you a new engine as this one has a porous block. Not sure if the block was porous or cracked as one would think that after 31000kms it would have been evident sooner.Regardless, the dealership provided a replacement vehicle (Mazda 3) and have indicated that this will be repaired once they receive a new engine as they were on back order. Dealership also indicated that this is not the first 2.5L with this issue found on a 2018 CX5. Ive owned over 30 vehicles so far and this is the first time Ive had this type of failure. Needless to say, Im not too happy with the reliability demonstrated by a Japanese built vehicle.

Year and a half ago, I bought a CX-7 2008. At first it was great, loved that car! It was perfect for our family and loved the way it drove. A year later, things started majorly happening. I noticed that the tires were wearing down fast. I had it aligned and rotated when I needed to. I did everything on the right time line, but still the tires started going bald fast. Then I took it in for a routine oil change and was told that the oil cooler was leaking. When I bought the car from a dealer, that was an issue, and the dealer fixed it before I bought it. Now a year later, it was leaking again. So I took it to my mechanic and he checked it out. He found that not only was it leaking, but that the engine was going because there were metal parts in the oil. I had to buy a new engine! Now 6 months later, the oil cooler is leaking again!!!! I asked the Mazda dealership why? They didnt have any answers for me. Now Im backwards in this piece of junk!!! And I have to have a car to go to work. I have a limited income because Im a teacher and when talking to Mazda, there is nothing that can be done.

Thought just easy fix oil leak and when I went to fix it they want $429. Just for part and Mazda knows its a faulty product! They should do recall. Using oil and leaking terribly. Then makes you go through antifreeze to cool problem. Then makes engine light come on. They have known about this problem for a long time. How unfair to consumers! I will never want to buy another Mazda again!

Mazda CX5 2016 Transmission Failure at 57,500 miles. How do I create a class action lawsuit against Mazda for a transmission defect that the manufacturer supposedly knew at the time of assembly? I bought the car new. After 30 months, the transmission failed. I had to dump the car after the repair, at a loss. On the positive, the body style was great, handling superior, interior lay out convenient, poor quality interior craftsmanship on seats, but to have the transmission crap out was a real bummer.

My daughter brought her Mazda Tribute 2002 in for the 6712A Recall, which is something to do with the ABS Braking system. The dealer that did the work was very nice and courteous. She lives in North Dakota and had the work done in North Dakota. She was not having any trouble with the ABS braking system but thought she should have it done for safety reason per the notification she received in the mail. After the work was done, she drove away and a little ways down the road her ABS Light came on. So, she turned around and went back to the dealer that did the work. They checked it over and could not find why the light is coming on. She explained that the light has not coming on before and now after the recall, that is coming on and staying on. The dealer said that she was going to have to pay to do the diagnostic testing any further in order to fix it. They sent my daughter away with a questionable proper working braking system because Mazda didn’t want to pay for a recall procedure that more than likely is the cause of the problem. My daughter went home, parked the vehicle and called the Mazda Headquarters the next day (1-800-222-5500). “I recommend everyone that reads this, call and complain about the response I receive about this situation”. They said exactly the same thing; she would have to pay for any further diagnostic testing to find out the problem. At that point I called to hopefully clarify the ethical thing to do and for the important customer service we all hope to receive in any situation like this. I tried to emphasize to them the level of awareness to the liability issues in sending someone you love dearly home, with possible braking issues. But they stuck with their resolution that she needs to pay to fix it. Never mind the safety for their customers. They said that I may not have anything to do with the recall! Maybe it was just coincidental that the light came on now. They said that if the report comes back that it was caused by the recall they would reimburse her for the correction/diagnostics. Why would she have to pay first for something that was never wrong at the beginning? I told them to put it all back in the way it was. Mazda said they can’t do that due to Liability reasons. Wow! Go Figure. My point is that it’s not the money issue with this, it is the ethics and I would like to see some real customer support in something nowadays.

We own a 2002 Mazda Protege and are pleased with the service it has given us. However, we would not buy another simply because of the way the body is rusting and falling apart even with repair work and undercoating. Just look around at this make. Most of them are rusting away all around the wheel wells. We cant fix it any longer. Its like a cancer.

My husband bought me a 1998 Mazda 626 in June. In July I took to car to get a tune up and to see why the check engine light was on. When they hooked the car up to the machine they told me that the the first spark plug was misfiring and that it showed up that the threads from that spark plug was crossed. I took the car back to the dealership and they told me that someone had glued the spark plug and all my mechanic had to do was to wipe the glue off and the do the tune up. So I said okay and took the car back to Mekinee here in Raleigh. Well, they said they werent going to touch the car so I called up the dealership and they said for me to bring the car to them, I said okay. While Im on my way to take them the car, all of sudden the car broke down along the side of the highway. They came and towed the car, so the following day my husband who is in the military came home and we went down to check on the car and thats when they told us that the transmission was gone on the car. This car only has around 100,000 miles on it , now I dont know what to do and the dealership has completely stopped having contact with me and my husband.

I have a 2008 Mazda 6, 2.3 Sport with 68,000 miles on it. The engine receives regular oil changes and has never been low on oil. Recently the engine started making a knocking sound at about 2500 rpm. The sound got worse and it would appear that I need a new engine at a cost of around $6000. I dont see how this could happen on a product that is less than 4 years old that has received regular maintenance. Mazda is a joke but worse than that is the fact that I have recommended this brand to my father and friends (two of them now own one). I really dont want to invest any more money into this car but it isnt worth any money without being able to drive it.

This vehicle has been very dependable with no major repairs needed. Ive been a bit disappointed as to the fuel economy. The model I purchased was a 4-cylinder. Ive only been getting around 25 mpg on the highway, not as fuel efficient as other 4-cylinder pickups Ive owned in the past. The interior is a bit cramped, but then again, it is a small pickup. Overall, Ive been happy with it. I may opt for a 6-cylinder pickup next time around which will be a bit more powerful than a 4-cylinder and still economical to drive.

I bought a new Mazda CX-5 based on reviews in 2016. It is comfortable and peppy. This is first crossover vehicle I have owned and I like it. It sits higher than a car and has more space to haul things, yet is small enough to easily park in tight spaces. So far it is very reliable.

On multiple occasions, I have been told the wait time for my vehicle will be one hour or two hours, etc. I have been lied to by the service team. My vehicle usually takes twice as long as they tell me if not more. It is a great inconvenience for me waiting four hours for my car when I was told it would take one hour. This is not an exaggeration. I have been late for work and appointments because of the errors in judgement of this particular dealership.

Well, if you want to be mislead, lied to and taken advantage of then I suggest you come here. I went into Mazda back in March 2019 to test the CX-5, after driving it around and listening all the great features I started to become more and more interested in the vehicle. Zakou, my sales rep tried to get me the best deal. I explained to him I still had 3 more months left on my previous lease but he assured me it wouldnt be an issue because Mazda would take care of the remaining balance (which by the way, was written in the contract and stated in all the paperwork signed by them and myself).Well, to cut the story short, its been almost three months since I switched to Mazda, my previous lease hasnt been paid off yet although they took the vehicle from me, I have been CONSTANTLY reaching out to my sales rep, calling the store, asking for a manager, financial manager, ANYONE that could help me out and all I get is: I will find out what is going on and I will reach out to you but I never hear back from anyone, and the manager seems to never be available. The only person I was able to talk to was the manager for used cars who obviously had no idea what I was talking about and also promised to call back, but I am still waiting for that call - one week later-.I have sent copies of the letters from my previous car dealership regarding the missed payments and how this was reported to the credit bureaus damaging my credit and all Zakou (the sales rep) would say is that he passed it on to his managers. When I asked which manager so I could follow up he would say I could just call and ask for one and they would all know what I was talking about, which again, LIES, because not once was I able to get a hold of a manager, they seemed to NEVER be there, and when I would reach out to Zakou again, hed tell me the same thing making me even more upset at the fact that I was not getting any concrete answers. The last thing I was told by my sales rep was for me to pay the balance and bring them a cancelled check for a refund which at this point I refuse because that is not what I agreed on, and if I wouldve known that from the beginning I would have just waited out the three months so I wouldnt be stuck with two lease payments!! It is safe to say, this has been by FAR the worse experience with a dealership that has failed tremendously with their customer service. Their lack of attention or interest in my situation has made my experience so sour, if it wasnt for my contract I would have returned the vehicle already so I wouldnt have to deal with them.
NEVER BUY MAZDA. Auto friend, I need your help and your expertise are great
NEVER BUY MAZDA. Auto friend, I need your help and your expertise are greatly appreciated. I have a 2016 Mazda CX9. I am fed up with MAZDA. I began having issues with my car prior to the powertrain warranty going out at 60,000 miles. My car began to idle very badly as if I had bad gas. The dealership suggested that I put in the fuel injection cleaner which I did. No resolution. I wasted money by advice of Dolan Mazda and paid out-of-pocket for new spark plugs for my vehicle. The issue was not resolved. Dolan then stated that the fuel pump went out which was the reason why my engine was full of gas and the car lost power. The fuel pump was replaced and the issue was not resolved. My car was transported to California because Mazda Reno does NOT have certified Mazda techs. My injectors and fuel injection system was updated in California yet The issue was not resolved. My car lost power again and I returned it to Reno. They stated that the throttle body went out which would cost $650. They replaced the throttle body. The issue Is still not resolved. I clearly have a lemon. Now they are telling me that they have to call the tech line because they have no clue why my vehicle will not run. Now they’re telling me there could be another issue as a result of the fuel pump going out and messing up the fuel injection. They said it was a domino effect that affected other issues on the car which is going be very expensive to repair. I have been without my car going on two months now and I’ve been going back-and-forth to the dealerships as my car was at 50,000 miles. The first time that Dolan MAZDA took possession of my car, they put 63 miles on the car test driving it. When I receive my car back from California, an additional 372 miles was put on my car. This is ridiculous!! This car again is clearly a lemon and they cannot figure out what’s wrong with my car. Now MAZDA is saying since I am now out of warranty, I must pay for repairs. I was in warranty the first 3 times they attempted to fix my car.

I own a Mazda CX7. I received the Mazda notice concerning the timing chain quite a few months back. I actually went to have the car checked due to the notice, and I found that there was a problem with mine. This is no lie, what I am about to tell you. On the way back from the shop, my timing chain broke! This caused an enormous amount of damage, and thereby I have incurred a huge bill to have this fixed. I contacted Mazda Corp and explained that I had no way to indicate that I have had all the oil changes done due to the fact that my husband changes our oil on all our cars. They said to me that I have no recourse and there are no loopholes for my situation. They will not honor the situation.I am extremely disappointed in the service and the behavior of Mazda Corp. I have recently learned that others have experienced this same problem. Even though Mazda knew that there was a problem and thereby sent the notice in the first place, they are still unwilling to fix the problem or take care of the monetary damages. I am asking everyone who reads this and has had a problem with Mazda concerning this situation to contact me because I am going to file a Civil Suit against Mazda, but we must join forces in order to do this. Thank you.

Mazda CX5 2015 is A PIECE of crap. I bought this car from Browning Mazda two months ago. It is about 6000 mileage. I always have long distances travel. Two days ago, this car suddenly cant be reversed in the freeway. It kept going straight. Later on it became normal again. I drove very slowly to Browning Mazda to have examination on my car. They checked it. They told me everything is fine. They couldnt find any code related to my problem. I trusted them. I took my car back. But during my last trip, same problem happened again in the freeway. I almost lost my life. So, called Mazda to toll my car back to them. They only paid for 18 miles. I paid 208 dollars to tolling company. It has been three days. They still kept my car. They said they need to have engineer to come to check my car. I dont have a car to use for three days already. They dont offer any solution. Pieces of **. Please dont risk your life to buy Mazda car. There are a lot of bad reviews for this brand.

A few days ago I jumped in the Mazda 2016 CX-5 and the console keep rebooting. The Mazda logo came up but then I never went to the home screen. Have no navigation, no hands free phone and the radio is stuck on just one station, the last station I had on before the system went down. Called Mazda and they told me they dont know whats causing the problem so I shouldnt bother bringing it down for service. I have about 47K miles on it. I did purchase an extended warranty. So now what? Wait for Mazda to contact me? They told me that they are receiving a lot of calls on this problem right now. But it looks like its been going on for a while now.

2007 Mazda Miata MX-5 manual transmission - I am in the market for a more practical car so I have been reading reviews of the brands I am considering. Every brand seems to have issues and I just wanted to share my experiences with the Miata. I bought the car new in December 2006 and have been the sole driver since. It now has 110,000 miles and still going strong. The only mechanical repair I have had was needing to replace the thermostat around 80,000 miles. I just now had to get new brakes for the first time. The paint still looks brand new and I am constantly being asked if it is a new car. The only thing that has not held up well is the cloth upholstery on the drivers front seat but the aftermarket leather seat covers look fabulous. I LOVE THIS CAR! I have loved it since I drove off the dealership lot. I lament having to part with it for a larger car that is better in the snow and after reading the reviews, I am even more hesitant to replace it. If you are considering a Miata from the 2006-2015 generation, I can highly recommend one.

When we were shopping for a new vehicle we wanted something that could carry six or more passengers. We had purchased a used car for our daughter from a local dealer. It was a good car that we were all happy with. We went in in August and the salesman just got in the new CX9 signature edition (2016). It was a great looking SUV with great technology and a fine trim level that included leather and wood trim. Complete the deal was 45,800 out the door. Considering the trim level and options that was a fair price. After one year we made the choice to lower our payments and down size to a less expensive car. The CX9 with 10,500 miles. The Trade in value of 31000 dollars. A loss of 33% of the value in one year. Stay away from any Mazda. Any car that loses that much value in one year should be taken off the market. I will never buy another Mazda in my lifetime.

I had purchased a 2000 Mazda V6 from an independent dealer. He sold the car with no warranties. I purchased my car on 3/5/12 and less than five hours after I had the car, my engine blew. The owner does not want to fix my engine nor refund me the amount that it will cost for me to put another one in the vehicle. The car was $2,700 total. After weeks of trying to get the situation fixed, he said that he will put $350 towards another engine and I have to pay the rest. That is not fair to me as a consumer because I didnt have the car long enough to blow the engine and I feel like I should not have to pay out of my pocket to replace it.

The fuel rail leaked fuel last March on my CX9, three months after I made my last payment. It was 8000 miles out of warranty. The cost was over $1000. Town North Mazda in Richardson and Mazda USA refused to help me with repair costs, even though this is not a wear and tear part. They did offer to sell me a new car though. I believe it was defective. I wrote several appeals for help, but to no avail. 6 months later, the front-wheel bearing went bad, fusing to the hub despite having the car checked at a dealership when I first heard the noise. $500! Now the AC switch is not working. Hopefully only a relay, but it may turn out to be a blower-motor. Probably another $1000 in repairs. This car has seen the shop more in the last 8 months than my previous Ford 156,000 miles in 10 years. No more Mazdas in my garage. Reading this site is disturbing. It is not necessarily the list of complaints about reliability, but Mazdas apparent lack of concern for its customers. Or should I say suckers. Now I know why Mazda has such a great track record with recalls. There arent any. I am dumping this CX9. Any readers should follow my advice and do the same. Expensive lesson learned.

My husband just got me a CX-5 2014 a month ago and is already in the dealer. Yes, in the dealer; no one believed me. Check engine on, bad leak valve, drained battery for no reason; and the bad thing is I don’t use that truck. I just use it to take my kids to school. It’s a shame. This is the number where my truck is. No one can believe a brand new Mazda 2014 the year is not even here, and the truck is already giving me headaches - Faulkner Mazda, 4437 Street Rd. I bought my cx5 last jan 2014 here in the Philippines. I am already having trouble with my thermostat, with the aircon, with the bluetooth. They have poor after sales service. They want to tow my car without any replacement. I only have one car. I cant complain to anybody. Here they will make you feel its your fault you have flaky unit. They want to charge for the repairs. The is less than one year old. Still without warranty. I tried calling mazda Japan but they dont have contact number. Cant complaint to anybody. I should have bought German made car. POOR after sales. Not reliable. Have a back up car because mazda will break down anytime.

I loved my Mazda from day one. In July 2007, I leased my CX-7, AWD, Touring. In July 2010, because I loved it so much, after test driving several other cars in the same class, I financed the rest and kept it. I have proof of all my oil changes and maintenance to the vehicle. I paid it off nearly one year early with some of my retirement savings so I could enjoy not having a monthly payment for the first time in my life. I also put brand new tires on and another $3,000 of maintenance, replacing the cracked transfer case, leaking oil cooler and loose ball joint (as recommended by Mazda). I responded promptly to all recalls by bringing it right to the dealership I leased and purchased it from. In January 2015, my family was in the car on the way to the mall. The check engine light came on. My husband and I argued for 20 seconds about how he felt there were always problems with the car (I still disagree to this day with the always part). 10 seconds later....the engine shut off, he was barely able to steer the car down an exit ramp off the highway when the car completely stopped. Black smoke came pouring out of the hood. We grabbed our two toddlers out of the their car seats and I stood with them in the freezing rain while flames shot out of the bottom and sides of the car and my husband called 911. Ill never forget how I stood there with tears streaming down my face, shivering and trying to hold my babies while my Mazda that I trusted for almost 8 years, burned beyond recognition in front of me. Thank God nobody was hurt. We dont know what caused it since no warning lights were on prior to that and nothing was reported to me by Mazda service when it was in the shop not even 6 weeks earlier. The insurance money is barely covering what I put in to this car in the last 5 months. I wont buy a Mazda ever again, and I suggest you dont either.

The Mazda CX 5 handles really well, especially in the winter. It is really comfortable to drive and has good fuel economy, and enough room for other people and all of their stuff. It is not too large and easy for me to handle. It was a really good deal compared to what you would pay for other cars in this price and category. However, the center console and screen is a little too small, and it is difficult to use while I am driving. You cant just glance at it and flip the channel. And I would make the seats move a little more, for someone with shorter legs it is hard to reach the pedals.

I have a 2010 Mazda 5 with 23,200 miles which I owned for just under two years. I had a rear tire blow and brought the vehicle to the dealership. The tire was worn on the shoulder down to the steel belt but the rest of the tread was fine. The dealer contacted Mazda but because I could not prove that I rotated the tires (I do them myself and I check tire pressure bi-weekly) and because I did not have an alignment done at 12 months/12,000 miles I was not covered under warranty. This is completely unacceptable for a car that is less than two years old to have that kind of tire wear. I took the car in for an alignment to a third party and was told that both rear cambers are out of spec but they cannot be adjusted once they leave the factory. I believe I purchased a defective vehicle but Mazda will not replace it and it appears there is no fix to prevent it from happening again. The cost of the alignment and four tires was $582.

Sold my 1990 Mazda 626 with roughly 225,000 miles on it back in 2005. The car was great, replaced master cylinder for the clutch and alternator in the 50,000 miles I had the car. The RX8 had no issues, it is a car that needs its oil checked often due to the design of the engine, and you have to drive it hard to clear the carbon off the tips. I took it to 9k almost everyday for 2 years with no issues on the car whatsoever. People that complain about engine failures are mostly idiots that shouldnt be driving a rotary to begin with. Mazda was nice enough due to the large amount of idiots blowing engines that they extended the warranty for all owners to 10 yrs 100k miles on the powertrain. The speed 3 I had for a few years as well, no problems besides a rear side window that had a slight imperfection upon delivery which was replaced by Mazda. Now I have a Mazda 6 2014. I have about 25k miles on it averaging about 30mpg. No issues whatsoever. I have seen the advertised 40mpg or above when going 60mph or less, but that never happens with me. In short Mazda is an amazing company with awesome products at an affordable price. People with cars that are almost 10 yrs old or older should not be able to leave comments about parts breaking, THE CARS 10 yrs OLD!! Step it up and get something newer or stop complaining.

Purchased a 2014 Mazda CX-5. It has issue with the shifter, which affects the vehicle sensors. This results, in the vehicle sometimes not moving forward whenever it is put into drive. The vehicle instead rolls backwards and it is a safety issue. It also continuously has issue turning off when the vehicle is put into park. They performed service on my vehicle and charged me to change the shifter, which was a faulty shifter that came with the vehicle. I am still having issues to turn the vehicle off and it also continuously drains the battery. The vehicle has safety issues and there are multiple complaints of the issue. Mazda refuses to do a recall. Mazda also refuses to provide its customers with detail report of the safety issues. They conceal information to save themselves from lawsuits, but I have reporting them to NHTSA. And I will be filing another complaint because they refuse to provide detail paperwork for the supposedly repair they did. It will be my first and last Mazda!!

Had the passenger side window motor replaced about a year ago. Now replacing the driver side motor. I asked the service rep if this wouldnt be viewed as a Quality issue and his response was that he understood my frustration. Lol. Facts are not frustration, but this issue alone is enough to cause us to consider vehicles other than Mazda for our next purchase. When there are multiple failures of the same part, I believe reasonable people would consider it a quality issue.

I bought my 2008 Mazda CX-9 in 2010 with about 23,000 miles from a local dealer. I loved the vehicle until the past few months. My car is now 5 years old with 78,000. I have had regular oil changes and have done all scheduled maintenance since Ive owned it. I had issues with the tie rods (scary story as well) that needed replacing. I expect brakes, tires, batteries, etc. will need replacing. I even expect that at some point the water pump will require replacing. What I did not know, is that the water pump, which of course failed a month before Christmas, is in the middle of the engine. In order to replace this $159 part, the entire engine had to be removed. I was without my car for 4 days and the total bill was over $1700. $159 in parts and $1500 in labor ($105 per hour). I am of course out of warranty but the dealer said to call the customer service number, they will likely help. NOPE, not a dime. What I have discovered about Mazda is that MAZDA DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I will NEVER buy another Mazda and I will be telling the world for the rest of my life. Mazda just doesnt care about their customers so think of that before you make such an expensive purchase.

Bad valve body??? I am not a happy consumer! I have owned the car for 45 days. I paid $31,000 for a loaded CX-5 Grand Touring. I broke down on the highway today. The dealership that I had the car towed to just informed me that it was a bad valve body. Maybe not a big deal to him, but driving a brand new vehicle with 4,000 miles and breaking down on a major highway on a 90-day waiting for a tow truck to arrive is a VERY big deal to me!!

The Mazda CX 5 is a great looking SUV. The after sales service sucks. I have determined that the Electronic Park Brake is a design flaw. This must be the only front wheel drive vehicle that wears out its rear brake pads and tyres before the front. Mazda with TSB 004-05/15 replaces the brake calipers when the actual problem is the sensor which controls the EPB. Like a person who hates constructive critique. I am not surprised that they are suffering in the market.

After less than a year of ownership my MX-5 convertible was developing holes in the soft top from rubbing on the frame. I researched the problem and found several instances of this including a long term test done by Motor Trend that showed photos of the top wearing in the same exact spots as mine. Their top and others I saw were fixed by replacing the frame with a newer design that doesn’t rub and the cloth soft top. For some reason on mine they will only replace the cloth top. That will not solve the problem. The service department agrees with me and so did The person at Mazda I talked to on the phone but Mazda still won’t approve the frame replacement. This will be my first and last Mazda purchase! I have owned several new cars and have never experienced anything as bad as this. It’s a shame because I really do like the car otherwise. But if they won’t fix an obvious problem I’m not going to take a chance that I’ll have a worse problem later. Trading it in for another car before this new top starts getting holes in it!

Over the past month both my husband and I have been shopping for a new vehicle. Since we both have very different needs, it has given us the opportunity to visit multiple dealerships including Volkswagen, Hyundai, Jeep, Honda, Subaru and Mazda. Driving a variety of vehicles. The Volkswagen, Hyundai, Jeep, Honda, Subaru experiences were all pleasant. WITHOUT exception each of the sales people followed up with us with either a thank you email or phone call and WITHOUT exception each of those dealerships offered us water or soda while we were looking at the vehicles - particularly nice given the heat-wave weve been having. Now to the Mazda dealerships. Please note I use the plural. That is because my husband truly was interested in a Mazda 6. We have visited three dealerships in two states and have encountered the same outdated sales practices in all three places. I am not a mathematician but it seems statistically improbable that these practices largely abandoned in the industry would be independently retained by three separate individuals. It seems more likely that the corporation itself still encourages these practices - salespeople accompanying test drives? Sales managers insisting on speaking with you before you leave? Continuing to try and sell you a car youve expressly said you do not want? Frankly, I am doing whatever I can to encourage my husband to buy the Accord Coupe 6 cylinder. I love the car, the salesman has been wonderful to deal with and I dont have to dread what comes next even if we were able to buy the car.

My 2008 Mazda CX-7 starts leaking oil. I am told that it needs a new Engine Oil Cooler and it is not covered under power train warranty. However, this model has had problems so the new one has been improved to prevent this. You would think if they had to improve it because of this problem it would be a recall item. I went through every Mazda dealer in Arizona and they all told me the same thing. Yep, its a problem but not a recall.

I own a 2005 RX 8. Kept up with the oil change and maintenance of the car, I seen that Mazda was doing a recall on the motor and wanted to know how could I get my car into the program to get a new engine. I love my car and will never part from it. Ive found water in oil stick and even though it hasnt ran hot would it be a problem to have a new engine in my car? Please email me at ** for more info on this issue. Thank you.

The day before Christmas Eve 2014, as we drove out of a parking lot, our well-maintained 2006 Mazda3 started feeling bumpy. We stopped on the street, and my husband looked under the hood: the engine had fallen out of place! There was no warning. Our Christmas week involved tow-trucks, car rental, and inability to find anyone who could work on the car before the following week. We found out the motor mounts had failed, which seemed to be a common problem on Mazdas. Worst of all, as we saw online, it often happened again and again.Six months before, wed had the motor mounts replaced. Our mechanic found a crack in one of them and suggested replacing them all, with Mazda parts. Wed had no trouble with the car since then, and had only gone another 7000 miles. I spoke to the service manager at the Mazda dealer, who said hed never seen an engine fallout in the years hed been there. He said Id have to contact Mazdas corporate office; they made all decisions, and maybe theyd help with repairs. The corporate woman I spoke with wasnt overly encouraging. She only said wed have to have the car towed to them so their service dept could check it out.Merry Christmas? Customer service? Online comments made us doubtful that Mazda would ever help us, and I shuddered to think where wed be if the engine had fallen while we were on the freeway. We finally decided, instead of spending too much time and money on a car we could never really trust again, to buy a new car--NOT a Mazda. A photo of our good-looking Mazda3 convinced the dealer to take it as a trade-in, and have it towed to them. We only got 107,000 miles out of our Mazda3, the least weve ever had on a car. Needless to say, it will be the last Mazda well buy. Warning to other Mazda3 owners: every time you have your car serviced, have them check the motor mounts. It could save you all kinds of grief, and maybe your life.

I bought a 2005 Mazda RX8 and Ive had nothing but problems with it ever since. Ive had to replace the fuel pump, the clutch, the catalytic converter, both O2 sensors, the crankshaft positioning sensor, the mass airflow sensor and now the engine is smoking. It is nothing but a lemon and I am still paying on the stupid car.

I was driving to the city and suddenly I start hearing a faint tapping/knocking sound at low revolution per minute (rpm). I continued to drive to the city and took care of my business, and then came back home at the end of the day with no problems besides the fact that there was always that faint knocking sound at low rpm.The next day, I brought it to my local mechanic. He said the car is drivable, but I should bring it to Mazda because it is under warranty, and they should take care of it. I had the car towed to them because I didnt have the time to drive there, and I had free towing from Mazda since my vehicle is still under warranty.I called them every day until the third day they told me that there is a hole in my engine and oil was leaking out, and they wanted to see my oil change receipts. When I heard them tell me that, I said immediately that they must have the wrong car because my car came in running with no problems that they stated. There was no oil on the floor. I had checked the oil before it came to them, and it was perfect. My car was drivable. I obliged to their request because Mazda is a big corporation that must surely work honestly with their customers. I also figured that they were exaggerating when they said all of this. I sent them the information. After calling them repeatedly, they finally told me a week later that my receipts looked sketchy” and that Mazda Corporation wouldnt cover the warranty. I proceeded to tell them that their claim is totally false and impossible. I had the oil changed every 3-4 months, approximately 2500 miles (I drive locally and take the train to school). Then they proceeded to send it again to Mazda Corporation after I told them that there is a problem on their part. Again, they denied the warranty work. So, I went down to pick up the car after three weeks because I need my car. When I turned on the car, it sounded like a tractor and then would die on its own. I tried to start it up again and give it some gas, and the rpm fluctuated, then it dies. It was clearly not the condition that it was when I brought to them. The check engine light was on, and they said that I told them that it was knocking. My car was not drivable; it was in significantly worse shape and value than when I brought it to them. They gave me the runaround the whole time I was trying to correspond with them. The assistant manager, Jim, had a regular advisor deal with the situation, which is naive and lacking in responsibility on his part. This advisor just started two weeks prior and clearly didnt know anything. I asked him how this was possible. He kept on saying that he simply started two weeks ago, and he couldnt answer my questions. So, I said to him, “Can you get me someone who can get answers because you clearly cant help me.” He then raised his voice and made threats; so, I did the same. Then the manager came in and took over partially. He told me to call Mazda customer service, which I did right then and there. The customer service representative told me that I needed to deal with the dealership. After going back and forth between the dealership and the customer service, I left without my car because I didnt anticipate having to tow my car.The following week, I paid for a towing service to bring my vehicle to my local mechanic. I brought it to my mechanic locally, and after looking it over it, it looked like they drained the oil, and ran the engine at high rpm until the problem got worse enough for them to tell what the problem was. They obviously have done this many times and are professionals at this. They know exactly what to say, and what story to stick by. They also put a dent on my car that I know for a fact wasnt there when I gave it to them. I took pictures of it.

I grudgingly moved from a Jeep to my Madza CX-5....and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! The space is a little tighter than my Grand Cherokee but I haven’t really noticed. It’s very reliable and you can’t lock yourself out of the car, which is a huge bonus! It’s been a great car and I ask a lot of it! Oh, one other thing ~ I occasionally drive for Uber and a lot of times people will get in and ask me what car this is, as they are really impressed.

Mazda 5 has suspension problems - I have had shocks redone 3 times in 7 years. I am a single woman not carrying passengers all the time!! Others have the same issues - otherwise a good car. Great car all around but they are discontinuing it - maybe because of the suspension problems. Gas mileage is good if you stay below 110. :)

I had brought my car in for a check-up and oil change, and the check engine light was on. They did their check and gave me the car back but the check engine light was still on. I was told that they never reset it because I did not tell them that it was on, although they said that they checked all lights in the car. The car engine was making a noise as well, but nothing was ever said. This check-up was done just before my 160,000 km engine guarantee was up.At 162,000 km, my engine blows. I contact Mazda Canada and they say, Too bad. Your guarantee is up, and say that I missed an oil change. I heard that there are lots of cases like this and that there may be a class action lawsuit against Mazda concerning these 2.3L Mazda engines. I would appreciate information if you have any.

2013 M3 6-speed manual purchased at 27,500 miles in April 2015 with transmission problems since purchase. I only have to put gas in it twice a month, but the savings over the years will soon be eaten up by a necessary total transmission replacement including master and slave cylinders, entire clutch assembly, and probably the gearbox as well. Not surprisingly, after 2 years of complaints, Mazda techs were finally able to duplicate the shifting problem (stemming from a known issue and current class action suit) on a service visit just outside of warranty, and they blamed it on user error and normal wear and tear. All the reviews youre reading are true... Mazda does not stand behind their products after purchase. Skyactiv-Gs are ridiculously frugal on gas, though! 34+ mpg in mixed driving over 72,000 miles! My issue has been overall shifting crunchiness worst in temps below 50F and failure to shift into first gear multiple times per day since day 1 no matter the weather. Just buy a Honda or Toyota...the Mazda zoom-zoom feeling wears off the moment you drive away from the dealer and the depreciation is ridiculous, so youll be stuck with it until its paid off because no one wants to work on Skyactiv-Gs except Mazda despite being nearly a decade old technology.

My car front control arm had a total failure in which the ring holding the ball joint on the front passenger side snapped the approximately 1 inch solid metal, This happened while driving. My car slammed to a halt, my tire disconnected and rotated 90 degrees. I have owned many older Classic Vehicles, and this is the first time I have seen this without a full side on collision. I called Mazda Canada, and got told the Car was out of warranty. As a result of there not being a recall on this part I am on my own. Damaged caused was Control Arm, Ball Joint, Front and Rear Bushings as well as a new axle need. You have to love being taken advantage of. This was my first Mazda purchase, and my last.

Two rear speakers in the car are hardly working. You can only hear sound when you open the trunk of the car. Those speakers are called tweedlers. Ive been to Mazda several times and they have given me various excuses to why they produce little sound. I decided to take the car to an independent audio dealer and they notice via a metered reading that those two rear speakers were not getting enough power therefore they would not change the speakers. I told a picture of the meter reading. When I returned to Mazda, after an hour I was told that, Thats how the system was set up. So I contacted Bose and they said, That is how Mazda set up their speakers. Could someone please help me solve this problem? Many, many thanks.

I bought my CX7 new in September 2007. I love the vehicle except for its very poor reliability. It has cost me in excess of $2000 a year to maintain this vehicle. Most parts that fail are notorious for failing but Mazda either wont cover the cost or their extended warranty is so meager it doesnt apply to my vehicle because of the mileage e.g. AC compressor; Oxy Sensor. I just discovered that my engine bay high pressure fuel pump is not working properly. I replaced the one in fuel tank 8 months ago and if it fails, it can wreck the engine. Mazda wants $1400 for the part! A better quality aftermarket part is available for less than half this price. Also, the Oxygen sensor on the Cat Converter has to be replaced at huge cost. I replaced the other one eight months ago. Together my current repair bill will be about $2000 including labor. You can find lots of stories just like mine on the internet (e.g. Edmunds).

I purchased a black 2001 Mazda 626 LX on August 13, 2012. Within one week, the alarm would randomly go off and not stop. We took the car back to Harris Auto Group. They sent the car to Bordentown Auto. The car sat over in their parking lot for 4 days. We kept calling and asking if it was fixed. After all, we are now making payments on this car and do not have access to drive it now for 4 days. The next repair came two weeks later when we started hearing a squealing noise. We brought the car back to Harris for repair. Their mechanic said it was the alternator belt and replaced it the same day. Two weeks later, the car started making noises and going backwards while in drive. I took the car back to Harris Auto Group, and they sent us to A-1 Economy Transmissions for a transmission repair. The car stayed at A-1 for repairs from Monday, 10/1, to Friday, 10/5/12, but it would be under warranty. We would only have to make a $100 deductible payment. Mind you, we are still supposed to continue to make our regular car payments during all of these repairs. We picked up the car on Friday, October 5, 2012. We paid $187.50, our deductible, plus sales tax. On Saturday, October 6, 2012, we decided to ride to Burlington from Bordentown to get some Chinese food. Well, we never made it back home. The car’s alternator belt broke, and the car overheated and shut off. Well, we called Harris Auto Group and asked about a tow and repairs. We were told “Sorry, I can’t authorize a tow.” What the hell? Well, now we have to spend money for a tow back to Bordentown. On Monday, October 8, 2012, I paid $130 for replacement belts only for the mechanic to tell me the water pump is about to go. WTH! What more can go wrong with this stupid car?!

Deceiving with its looks! Dont be tricked by poor quality product and expensive after service fixing. Feel bad for the body designer, talent wasted on rotten interiors. 2014 Mazda 6, replace batteries every 8-10months. Inside plastics falling off. Exterior plastic bumper covers falls off 3 times, forced to glue on. BT audio problems, and now... Transmission failure! With every single service encounter, service folk says its normal to have battery replaced every year and a half and then changes story to a Year and now. Under a year... Poor customer attitude. Service folk highly unprofessional. Biggest regret to trust this brand. Stick with Toyota or Honda. Want nice looks, wait and save for better.

Its my fault that Mazda use Bose speakers that corrode in the doors and stop working. So not covered under the warranty. Definitely not Mazdas or Boses fault. The brand / image that Mazda portrays is not reflected in the after sales service and warranty team. Buyer beware!

Add me to the woes of Mazda owners (Mazda 2004 MPV) with coil packs and fans that wont shut off. Replaced the fan switch last month when it continued to run after shutting off the vehicle. Replacing the third coil pack at 93,000. Three down, three to go. Would also like to know why there is no class action lawsuit yet. No fan of super torts, but I am pretty angry. Theres no recall/fix from Mazda.

This Mazda CX-5 had replaced one that I really enjoyed. But it does fulfill my needs but its not the type of car I would normally pick out. I like the fact that is all wheel drive. I like the pep in the engine and the gas mileage. I do like the fact that every Mazda has a GPS in it and I like the heated seats. However, the CX-5 is just a lower class model than I was used to previously. The CX-5 is a fine car but I wish that the radio system had XM or Sirius radio.

This Mazda3 is a 2014, used and the S Grand Touring is the top of the line, loaded with electronics that Im still getting used to. That aside it has the 2.5L engine. Not a drag racer but enough power and handling to make you feel comfortable and secure plus good mileage. The ride is firm but not rough and it handles well. Im 511 tall and the seating is comfortable and all controls are readily accessible and dont see any reason this car would be any less comfortable on a long trip than any of the larger cars Ive owned prior.

I bought a 1998 626 LX 4 Cylinder with 76,000, and as I was driving off the lot, the fuel pump went out. Luckily, the dealer replaced it at no cost even though I bought as is, but then 3 days later it went bad again. Two months later, the alternator belt snapped and to replace, you have to remove the wheel well and loosen the alternator to get on. It took about 6 hours only to have it snap again after 50 miles. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the belt again, but over torque the tension rod so now every about 1500 miles, I have to tighten it up or it loosens, squeals and smokes, and chunks of the belt come out. The transmission slips and shifts hard frequently. And now the coolant system is leaking and while I was attempting to isolate the leak, the window popped out of its roller. I understand every car has its problems, but I’ve only had this junk heap for a few years and am blown away by the frequency of problems. It would seem that all post Ford buyout Mazdas are lemons and I recommend avoiding them.

I took my 2006 Mazda Tribute into the dealership for an oil change, after three days, the car had broken down. I found out that there were no fluids in the car, so the engine was cracked. I left it at the dealership for resolution. After 8 weeks of no response, we had the car towed back to the house. We called the Mazda Corporate Office but to no avail. Im disgusted with it all. I also purchased a Mazda 2005 RX8 the same day as this one, spent over $30,000 for that car, had to have 3 new engines within a year (what a joke).

Mazda Corporation in Canada has a huge problem that seems to be growing week over week. I purchased a new Mazda CX5 10 months ago. The vehicle drives fantastic. It just needs a lot of TLC. Paint is not evenly distributed leaving visible color distortions. Front bumper is not, absolutely not, suitable for winter driving in Canada. I went through a spray - car was to get the salt and grime off the car and the bumper just cracked. Dealer is telling me I hit something... No scuff marks, no other damage than a crack that starts exactly where there is a cut out in the bumper. This is a flaw in the plastic material that the bumper is made of. I will eventually replace the bumper but at $ 1,000.00 it simply is not feasible right now. The infotainment system is cause for long debates with the dealer and on the phone with Mazda Canada customer support. I have also put in a claim at the MTO (Ministry of Transportation in Ontario) to see if they are willing to see the point of a defective infotainment unit that requires constant attention during driving. USB drives simply crash, Bluetooth becomes grayed out. Needs a complete disconnect from the battery to resolve (plus reprogramming). Dealer states that they did a firmware upgrade but only tested for the GPS system and, since I keep that up to date (I had to purchase maps to be updated quarterly), it showed on the bill that the firmware already was up to date. That is not the firmware!! The infotainment also has a firmware that can be checked by pressing radio on/off and audio at the same time. Since the dealer made a statement that the firmware is up to date, Mazda Canada does not want to respond to any flaws or changes that need to be made. Music volume is just unacceptable. I had to crank the sound to 30 before I can even hear the speakers and there is a constant hiss at lower music levels. Dont even think of driving with the roof open. You will have to crank it all the way up to 45 or 50 (65 is the max). I purchased the GS model for this. The sunroof is a much welcome tool in keeping the temps in the car at bay in the summer. The OEM tires will not last for more than 40,000 KM by the way. Last but not least: the dealer will only work on any TSB (technical service bulletin) when the customer insist. It is not done voluntarily. Mazda Canada still claims there are no TSBs for the car - if asked why they are so secretive about this, they claim that all works as it was meant to be. The car, in their eyes, is perfect. In my opinion, the many test reports are flawed and I have also contacted these sites and producers of the shows with the facts. Also the Dealers insist you take the rust proofing and if you do the car will be ready in 4 days. I refused ant it took 2 weeks with the 3M protection film still missing. These tricks will be pressed upon the buyer when I thought I was done with the purchase. I have deep regrets I purchased the car. I will zoom-zoom for a little longer but this car will not last the full 10 years my (t)rusty Ford Taurus did. I do not recommend anyone to purchase a Mazda CX5 if peace of mind is important.
Mazda CX-7 manufacturing failure - When it comes to their advanced designs,
Mazda CX-7 manufacturing failure - When it comes to their advanced designs, meticulous craftsmanship, and quality factory parts, all Mazdas are created equal. In March of 2011, my now wife and I were in the market for a new vehicle. With the thought of a family not too far off in the distance, we decided that it was time to sell her 2002 Ford F-150 that she had owned since college and look for a pre-owned crossover SUV. After doing some general searching, she found that she liked the Mazda CX-7s. We did some exhaustive searching online and found a reasonably priced CX-7 being sold by a private seller in San Antonio. We received a pre-approval for financing through my employer. So that weekend, they made contact, worked out a place to meet, and on March 18, 2011, we became the owners of a 2007 Mazda CX-7 Sport. And that is where the honeymoon ended. After six months, we began to have mechanical issues with the vehicle. A diesel-sounding chug coming from the engine seemed off for an unleaded four-cylinder SUV. The vehicle had less than 60,000 miles when we purchased it and by the time we began to notice the issues, the drive train warranty had expired. I began to do some in-depth research into this year/make/model and the results I unearthed were astounding. The 2007 CX-7 has been plagued with poor craftsmanship direct from the factory. The horror stories about this vehicle are anywhere and everywhere. I even saw one to where the consumer experienced full engine failure before 30,000 miles. The common issue seemed to be a part called a VVT actuator. No recalls or service advisories had been issued for engine parts at this time. However, in January 2012, an entire half-decade after the vehicle rolled off the assembly line, we received a Variable Valve Timing Noise and Timing Chain Noise Warranty Extension notice by mail from Mazda.A month or so after we received the notice, the vehicle began leaking oil. We took our vehicle into a Roger Beasley Mazda Center and had it examined. The oil cooler on the vehicle was beginning to fail. We explained the notice that we received in the mail and they were already well aware of these issues. We were told the engine had engine sludge and with it being a second-owner vehicle, we did not have the documentation to prove that regular oil changes had been performed. Instead, all repairs and replacements would come from our own pockets. The result ended up being a need to replace the VVT actuator, the timing chain, the oil cooler, and replacing all of the gaskets. The technician showed us a side-by-side of the current timing chain and the new replacement, the used chain had literally stretched to be about half an inch longer than the replacement. We drove off the lot and hoped that the problems had been solved.Within two months of the repairs, the engine began making a high-pitched whining noise. My wife contacted the dealership that day while at work and they said to bring it in. On the way to the dealership, which is less than 10 miles away, the vehicle died on the freeway. This ended up being the result of a blown turbocharger. Again, we had to take money from our nest egg to replace yet another part on this vehicle. Mazda Corporate has been overwhelming uncooperative with patrons regarding this matter and has repeatedly declined to take ownership of their poor engineering of this particular model and instead, continuously places the blame on the purchasers of their vehicles, claiming poor maintenance has resulted in the failure of its parts. We are now hoping we can sell the vehicle to avoid the fate of so many other CX-7 owners - that of owning a giant paperweight with a $300 per month payment. This experience will lead us to never purchase a Mazda ever again and to encourage those around us to do the same.

Hi! I am a new owner of Mazda 2. I was shopping for a small car and it just happened that Mazda Scarborough is on my way, so I drop in and check what they have and I like what I see on their display, so I closed the deal on a Mazda 2 DS yesterday. I got the car the next day, so I was amazed with the service, I have know nothing about the car, so I search about it and I am very disappointed when I saw the promo.Financed Pricing for new 2011 Mazda2 GX (B5XB51AA00) is $15,595 financed at 0.9% over 84 months equals bi-weekly payments of $88 with $0 down payment, cost of borrowing is $499 with a total obligation of $16,094. As shown, Offered Pricing for 2011 Mazda2 GS (B5SB51AA00) is $19,895 financed at 0.9% over 84 months and equaling bi-weekly payments of $113 with $0 down payment, the cost of borrowing is $637 with a total obligation of $20,532. Estimated fuel economy based on Natural Resources Canada Fuel Consumption Guide. Actual fuel consumption may vary.I felt Ive been robbed by this sales people. Im so disappointed because what they make me pay is $162.00 a month and that is with 3,000 down payment, so thats about $32,484 which is the ads said that the obligation is on $20,532 so thats a difference of 11,952. I dont think the tax and the extended warranty will cost that much. Until now, I dont know what to do. I just hope this thing doesnt happen to someone else. I meant the promotion is there why this people never mention it to their costumer because we are the costumer that will be coming back for service and more now I dont even know if I still go there for service. I just hope you guy could help me and can give me some answers. Thanks by the way, the manager I dealt with is Michael **.

I purchased a used 1996 Mazda 626, 4 cylinder, automatic and shortly after the purchase, the transmission started slipping and eventually failed. I had my trusted mechanic install a rebuilt transmission at a cost of about $1200.00. Around 2,000 miles later, the transmission started slipping again. I have done research and I found that the CD4E transmission is a known lemon. I originally paid $2800 for this car and have put in more than that in repairs. I will never buy another Mazda product.

Driving home three weeks ago, the check oil light came on in my car. As I was trying to exit to a safe location (I was on the highway), the check engine light came on and then the battery light came on. The engine was shot. I purchased the car last July. Mazda claims it was a faulty oil change and they will not cover the cost of the new engine. The car cost me $18,000. I purchased it last year after I got hit in an automobile accident that left my previous car totaled. I paid for the Mazda 2 in full. Now Continental Mazda in Naperville, IL is stating I need to spend another $5300 on a new engine due to a faulty oil change. Im devastated. They will not help me out nor will the $20 oil change company (obviously). Mazda needs to make this wrong situation right again.

I bought my Mazda 3 hatchback 3.5 months ago. I live in the Chicagoland area and on a recent freezing day I came out to the car after work to find that the rear drivers side window had shattered completely. Thankfully the car is under warranty and my dealer made it very easy to fix but I dont think this should happen.

We bought new a 2011 Mazda and everything with it is great except for the air condition always being clogged. So far to date, it seems that its been clogged 5 times and each time, its costing me money to get it unclogged. They told me that there is NO RECALL for it nor a repair except of the CONSTANT UNCLOGGING of the AC. I love my Mazda but I know this is a deal breaker for me to constantly get it repaired for the same problem over and over again. I just dont understand to why Mazda have designed this so poorly! We had a Toyota Corolla, a Mazda Accord and a Pontiac and we have never had any problem with their AC being clogged. This is so frustrating!

While riding on the freeway with my daughter, our engine knocked and started to go slow, super slow like 10-20 miles per hour. I slowly pulled off and called my husband. He towed the car to Mazda and their excuse was because of vehicle maintenance, they would not replace the engine. They said there was sludge in the engine. Mazda has denied our warranty claim because of sludge in the engine, however this issue is caused by Mazdas faulty design in the turbo engine/timing chain which cooks the engine oil. Our car is only 2 years old and has only 50K miles and they are saying the sludge is caused by the owner. Ive had several vehicles and even if we never got an oil change an engine doesnt die like that from oil changes. Mazda will not provide us with any pictures or a copy of the denial report to verify this issue. Our warranty claim is denied and they will not even talk to us about this issue. Terrible product and customer service. To get this problem resolved, we must report this very unsafe issue to the Government, Better Business Bureau, and all other outlets. Everyone please complete a report so we can get some justice! God forbid someone could have run into the back of my car with my child in it!The best avenue to make us aware of an issue is to file a formal complaint with us, the NHTSA National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Please click on the following link or paste the web address into your browser to file a complaint. **. In the filing the complaint, please have your VIN handy and please include as much detail as possible regarding your incident / experience with the issue.I am still waiting on some type of resolve on this issue. The fact recalls Mazda is currently putting out have nothing to do with the real issue for this car. Please help CX7 owners who are out 10s of thousands of dollars purchasing this paper weight!
