TEASED: Lexus RX Hybrid Could Be The Most Powerful Yet
Posted On: May 20, 2022
The next-generation 2023 Lexus RX will debut at the end of the month, but that still leaves plenty of time for leaked information to trickle out ahead of the reveal. Just one day after Lexus posted the first teaser for the RX showing the front-end styling, what appears to be a leaked teaser of the rear end just popped up all over social media. Not only does this new image give us a pretty nice glimpse of the rear styling, but it also reveals the name of one of the upcoming models. Lexus made sure to photograph the new RX in low light so some of its closer details would remain a mystery, though we can easily see the NX-inspired connected taillight bar and "L-E-X-U-S" badging. With a bit of photoshop magic, we can also spot an "RX 500h" badge on the rear end, officially confirming the name for the new 2023 RX Hybrid. Lexus currently uses the 450h nomenclature for the RX Hybrid, so it makes sense that the next-generation model will get a larger number. This will put the RX in the same territory as the LS Hybrid, which also uses the 500h designation. We doubt Lexus would increase the badge number without increasing performance. The current RX 450h produces 308 horsepower from a 3.5-liter V6 and electric motor combination, so we wouldn't be shocked if the RX 500h inches closer to the 354 hp output of the LS 500h. Though it's still unconfirmed, we can almost certainly predict the RX and RX Hybrid will use the new 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine from the smaller NX, which produces 275 hp without any electrification. Adding a hybrid system should easily boost the output above 300 hp, while a plug-in hybrid RX 500+ model would introduce even more power and some all-electric driving range to the mix. The Lexus NX 450h+ produces over 300 hp with a normally aspirated four-cylinder, so just imagine what adding a turbocharger to the equation would do. All will be revealed on Tuesday, May 31, at 8 PM Eastern Time.

I have 66,000 on my 2008 Lexus GS 350. I have really only had one problem with my car, and that being the rear calipers froze. I have a certified pre-owned warranty that would cover this problem had I not taken my car to a personal mechanic for brake pads. He is the one who realized the calipers froze. It was towed to Lexus and it took me 3 weeks of fighting and speaking with the owner of the Lexus dealership to get it covered. Now 6 months later the headlight went out, When I looked and noticed there was condensation in the housing of the light. Again I still have a bumper to bumper warranty but again, this is not covered. The seal is broke and they state this is normal wear and tear. $1791.00 to replace, ARE YOU KIDDING ME. WHAT does the certified pre-owned warranty cover because at this point I have had two issues and neither of them are covered under this warranty. So with that said, and the fact that it took me 1 year and 2 months to get mats for my vehicle that were promised as part of the purchase deal from my salesman, and then they were not LEXUS mats. They were WALMART cheap mats... I AM ALL SET WITH BUYING ANOTHER LEXUS. SO NOT WHAT THEY PORTRAY THEMSELVES TO BE...

I found 3 design flaws with my 2012 LS460L none of which Lexus will fix. The 1st incident occurred in Novato, CA making a right turn from the Ignacio Blvd bridge over 101N to Nave Dr. after a rain the previous day. When the front of the car slid slightly, the skid control turned the wheels sharply to the left forcing the car into the lane to my left. Fortunately, there was no car in that lane or there would have been an accident. I was able to regain control but Lexus refuses to investigate this issue insisting it must be reproduced by a dealer for them to act. This is impossible as no dealer has facilities to do this. The 2nd incident occurred on a hill at the intersection of Willard & Parnassus in San Francisco on 3/14/14. I had made a U-Turn to enter a parking space on Willard and was facing downhill. When I put the car in reverse, it rapidly rolled forward which is not expected in an automatic. I submitted video evidence of this to Lexus and this problem was reproduced by Freeman Lexus in Santa Rosa which, however, has no way to fix the problem, and Lexus refuses to do so though this, too, could be a safety hazard. This 3rd incident occurred on 4/14/14 when, at Woodland Market in Ross, I put my car in reverse and the rear view camera did not come on. I put it back in park and then back into reverse and the camera still did not come on. I made a video of this and sent it to Lexus and went to Lexus of Marin to show them the problem. They would have to take the car but I could not give it to them and explained this would not occur again if the car was turned off and started again - which I showed them to be true. This also could be a hazard but Freeman Lexus cannot reproduce this and Lexus absolves itself of any responsibility. Lexus, in fact, tells me if the car works as designed based on what the dealer can find, they will not fix or investigate the issue even if safety is involved. This violates the Toyota DOJ agreement.

Do not bring your car tiki the Lexus of North Miami for service! Brought my car in to have the recalled dashboard replaced. When I picked my car up, while driving home, which is about 10-15 minutes away, I noticed my brake light was on and before I could get home my car cut off and would not start. I immediately called Lexus of North Miami and was told by the service advisor that they did nothing wrong and I would have to bring my car back to the shop. I told him how and that my battery was dead, car wont stay started. I asked if he could call roadside service to come and get my car. It didnt seem to matter to him as he said no and Id we find that the alternator and battery is dead, you will have to pay. I was in shock and disbelief bc I had just left there no more than 15 minutes ago.But what was more shocking was when I called back to speak with the Manager over Service, he had the same reaction, and seemed uninterested in the fact that I had just left the dealer and now my car wont start. Now Im upset and was in disbelief and highly disappointed that both service advisor and Manager of Service did not try to solve the problem and did not send roadside assistance to pick up my car. They showed no concern in the fact that my car was not working! And to make things worse, they said, When you bring your car in and were find its the alternator or the battery, you have to pay for it, were not liable. Oh my, could not believe this! This is suppose to be a upscale business that specializes in satisfying their customers. Well not only was I not satisfied, but I felt totally helpless. I will never bring my car back to the Lexus of North Miami ever again! Horrible customer satisfaction service!

Lexus is aware of frequent occurrences with RX 330 back door 1/4 window molding falling off. It happens for no other reason other than poor design. I had many vehicles in my life, but regardless of age of those vehicles, did not had a case of loosing not damaged body parts. When this happened to my Lexus RX 330, I vent to my Lexus dealership (where I purchased new this vehicle) and learned that Lexus will cover the window but not the labor for replacement as the vehicle is not under warranty. The tiny shiny molding which was not attached in proper way is not made as a spare part- the whole window has to be replaced???I did call the Lexus satisfaction line and a Case manager called me the next day to tell me the same thing - my vehicles body part falling off is not covered under warranty. I asked her what is the next that I will loose while driving. And I thought the LEXUS makes high quality vehicles and will be doing right thing to maintain its reputation. I have two Lexus vehicles, which I purchased new, but after this I dont think I will continue to be their customer.

I am very impressed with the Lexus extended warranty. Two years ago, while having my vehicle serviced, I was informed that my steering was defective and leaking. It would need to be replaced. The cost was over $4000.00. My extended warranty covered the entire cost with no copay required. This one repair more than tripled the cost of the seven year warranty. I have had extended warranties with other vehicles that I have had, but none as good as this.

When I bought my 2006 Lexus Hybrid at Vista Lexus in Woodland Hills, I purchased 100% money back extended service contract. In 6 years if there are no repairs, they said I would get back 2,025 dollars. I called Lexus and they said it was the dealership’s responsibility. I found out that Vista Lexus was sold and it is now called Woodland Hills Lexus and they dont keep records. It is funny because they have records that tell them to call me for service every 6 months and records that say my service contract is expired. I called the new owner of Lexus, Dede Anderson at **, and her attorney, Ms.Talara ** at **, called me. She said the insurance company that offered this contract is out of business but I could send my information anyway. But because it was past the 60 days for me to file for reimbursement, it is too late anyway. I was told by Lexus dealership when I purchased the contract that this was no brainer and I would get refund automatically, that Lexus was honest. I just want customers to be aware of fraud at all levels. Thank you.

I have a 2007 IS250. I bought the vehicle brand new. Ive had several issues with this vehicle, for starters the vehicle inside interior is POORLY crafted. The dash is melting, as well as the door panels. Ive had to replace both headlights. I also had minor engine problems which was covered under warranty. Lexus is rated as one of the top vehicles in the country. I would NEVER EXPECT a TOP RATED vehicle as Lexus to have this sort of issue (interior). I find this to be VERY UNFAIR to myself and other consumers who have purchased this vehicle and also experiencing this problem (interior). Lexus REFUSE to order a RECALL on this issue. If I had known the interior on this vehicle was SO POOR I would have never purchased it. If you are thinking on purchasing this model, the model itself is NICE, OTHERWISE, DO NOT PURCHASE. I just would think a company of the sort (Lexus) would do a MUCH BETTER JOB at listening and HANDLING consumers complaints and protecting LEXUS name. I am sure this complaint is not the only complaint on this particular model (IS250). All the other models Im certain DO NOT HAVE this issue so why not place a RECALL ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL, AT LEAST THE DASH? Unhappy Consumer. I rate this vehicle???

With 89000+ miles, I was told the timing cover gasket was leaking and to replace it would cost $3000+ because the engine must be pulled. I asked what type of gasket would be replaced. The service manager stated that a liquid gasket would be replaced and that Lexus does not use a fiber gasket. He also stated that the liquid gasket melts from the heat of the engine and causes the leak which happens quite often. When I checked Toyota I found the company uses a fiber gasket on their timing cover. This is a definite design flaw in the RX 350. No doubt the melting of the liquid gasket contaminates the oil. Because of the risk of the leak to happen again, as soon as I can afford it, the RX 350 will be traded for a Toyota. It proves that Lexus vehicles are high maintenance and too expensive to own.

I have a 2004 Lexus IS300 with interior in near mint condition. Years ago I started experiencing a problem with the dashboard. It was sticky and wiping it down stripped away the paint. I contacted Lexus customer service and they scheduled me an appointment with my local dealer (Tri-County Lexus of little falls New Jersey) for an inspection. The dealer took pictures and sent them to corporate. A week later I contacted Lexus customer service and to my surprise they refused to fix the problem. I argued with them and they offered me a $250.00 credit for the inconvenience. Till this day I have yet to use the credit. A year ago I contact my local dealer for a quote on my dashboard and they advised me to wait. They said that Lexus/Toyota is aware of the problem and they will be sending out recall notices. I waited but never got a notice. Later I realized that a recall was issued for the melting dash but it did not include the IS300. I recently contacted my local dealer again for a quote. I asked them what they recommend I do, either I have my dash pulled out and repainted or I buy a new dash. The service advisor did not recommend I have the dash repainted, saying that the paint will eventually come off - that Im better off buying a new dash. I asked What if I buy a new dash and I run into the same problem Im having now? He did not have a answer for me. Hes said that he will call me back. Till this day I have yet to receive a callback. Ive called several times and every time I call Im told that I will get a callback. I am very disappointed with Lexus/Toyota. I am unsatisfied with the service they provided. I feel that all of this could have been avoided if Lexus/Toyota had just included the IS300 in the recall. This experience will definitely influence my business with Lexus/Toyota in the future.

Different varieties of models and features that are actually nice and I would recommended that. Each model is unique in its own, but I prefer Lexus Los cause it offers hybrid and gasoline vehicles and they give you the ability to choose which one that you want. Lexus has many upgrades and personalization options that can be added onto the vehicle and that isnt added to the final bill of sale, which is excellent to me and I actually love that about them. Lexus is such a luxury vehicle and so affordable that anyone can afford them.

Full line of sedans, sporty coupes, hybrids and performance vehicles including the IS, GS, LS which are reliable. They look great whether youre going out of the town or to a business meeting and want to make a positive impression. For instance, the IS Turbo has a very aggressive engine that is responsive and sounds great. The seats hug you through the curves. Also, the vehicle comes with the basic amenities that you want in a sports car. You do not buy this vehicle for passenger occupancy but for its high performance and overall driving ability. With that said, I am a good sized man and I fit in the drivers seat comfortably. Overall, I do not have any issues with the vehicle and its been an awesome experience.

I recently purchased my 2019 GX 460 Lexus from Lexus of Pembroke Pines. I have returned it twice, with complaints that the Navigation is not working correctly. Each time I take it back they insist that It is functioning like the other vehicles that they have in stock. Which is unacceptable. The Navigation system gives the wrong directions. For example, If I am traveling and the expressway, it doesnt recognize that I am on the expressway and tells me that the expressway is approaching on the left, then 1 mile later, it will say the expressway is approaching in the right; when in fact, I am traveling on the expressway.Yesterday, it gave me the wrong directions and I ended up under a bridge, completely lost. This is very frustrating and is a safety concern. I have been advised by an attorney to take the vehicle back once more, and if the problem is not resolved, I will be forced to take legal action. I am certain that there are numerous consumers there with the same complaint.

The appearance is sports utility vehicle savvy and sleek with and a little style, bit of sexy in it. It fits my needs with style and is one of a kind. The inside is spacious and fits the whole family including a dog or two. It is very roomy and comfortable. Their technology package is out of this world. There is a wide variety available from Lexus, with each vehicle maintaining its dependable characteristics. There are sedan, SUV, mid-size, compact, and other models, so there is a wide selection with almost a guarantee to have at least a couple options that fit an individuals needs and wants in purchasing a car. The Lexus aesthetic features are that of a sleek body and exterior and distinct interior features like leather stitching. The vehicles have a smart key entry system, and many models have touchscreen controls and a navigation screen interface. There are tons of options available for upgrades and personalizations with Lexus. Upgrade options include performance-related ones like engine components and fuel systems, as well as aesthetic/personal interests like suspension systems and racing equipment. Passenger capacity for larger size sedans and SUV models are great. All models are comfortable for their individual capacities, and Lexus has a lot of models that can accommodate larger numbers of passengers while still allowing for cargo and extra things to haul in the vehicles.

2021 GX460 Luxury edition no longer has dual auto-dimming mirrors! They had them on the GX460 Premium/Luxury trim ever since their 2010 redesign and even after the 2020 facelift they kept this feature on the Luxury edition...only to be dropped on a 2021! Theyre saving $100 on a $70k vehicle! Every other Lexus vehicle has them standard or available in a package except for the GX460 now! Whats next Lexus??? Manual windows???I wrote to Lexus about this and earlier today spoke to their Case Manager regarding this issue. First she said that Lexus determines their vehicles features based on extensive research and consumer feedback! Really??? Who are those customers that complained about their passenger side auto-dimming mirror preventing them from being blinded by a semi or an F-250??? But then it gets even more bizarre: she said that it is not salesperson responsibility to inform customers about vehicle features... OK! Whos job is it?So according to her, it was my job to somehow suspect that Lexus would decide to drop this feature from a vehicle that had it on every MY starting from 2010-2013 (Premium) and then from 2014-2019 (Luxury) and it stayed on the 2020 redesign on the Luxury trim!!! I was supposed to suspect that it would be dropped for 2021... because..?? Im sorry, but this was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back. Good deal Lexus! You saved your nickel... Youve lost a loyal customer! If this is what you call pursuit of perfection count me out of that pursuit!

2007 Lexus RX 400h - So there is something wrong with the brake actuator in these models which will DEACTIVATE YOUR BRAKES AT ANYTIME SO BEWARE!!! I called Lexus in July 2016 to tell them that while driving on the freeway, my ABS VSC light went on, I heard a high pitched sound that went on continuously and I lost my brakes. I was with my 8 year old daughter. She was very frightened and thought we were gonna die. I called Lexus Jim Falk Beverly Hills service department and they said this was normal. They said to just turn off the engine and wait a few minutes because the ABS needs to reset. So after this incident, it happened to me 3 more times and I just did the normal procedure of turning the engine off and waiting 5 minutes. But just last week, I was driving my pregnant wife to the doctor and this thing happened again and we almost hit the car in front of us. So I brought it to Longo Lexus service department immediately and they told me that my brake actuator needed to be replaced and that would cost me $4,000 to fix!!! They also told me that this is a known issue with the Lexus RX 400h and that they had a campaign that replaced these for free in 2016 and this campaign had expired December 31, 2017. It is March 2018 already so obviously I cant avail of that free replacement. So I called Lexus corporate office and told them my story about losing my brakes, not knowing about the campaign, and Lexus telling me this was normal (They actually verified that phone call in their records). They said they would escalate this to the national manager which is the highest in Lexus. So now, they just got back to me saying that even with the record of that phone call to Lexus, there is NO PROOF that the car did lose its brakes because no one inspected it at that time it happened. Let me get this straight LEXUS, YOU WANT ME TO DRIVE A CAR WITH NO BRAKES TO A LEXUS DEALER WHICH IS 10 MILES AWAY??? All I could do at that time was call. And to tell me that this is a normal thing, I believed you, because YOU ARE LEXUS! So now you want me to spend $4,000 for your own mistake?? Gosh, I would never recommend a LEXUS because THEY DONT SEEM TO CARE ABOUT SAFETY AT ALL!

We leased a new 2018 NX300 at the beginning of April 2018 in Kingston Ontario Canada this year and in August while driving to town my wife hit a deer taking out the grill and camera, etc. It is now November and its still not fixed. The reason: parts on backorder. How can a brand new vehicle have parts on backorder? First a fog light, then an electronic component for the lane departure. The list goes on. Four months to repair a vehicle due to parts on backorder. The local dealer wont answer my emails, wont answer my phone calls all because Im getting upset with how this is handled and the length of time it takes. Not to mention Im paying a lease on a vehicle we cant access. We made the mistake of leasing two Lexus vehicles but I promise this will be rectified when the lease concludes. My 2007 Lexus 350 right front headlight has had condensation since the time I purchased the vehicle for my wife in November. I am a used car dealer and have always had a preference for the Lexus line due to the quality and customer service. When I contacted our local Lexus dealer (Mcdermott, where I service my Lexus inventory and my personal es330) they indicated that the warranty had just expired in November but they felt Lexus would give me some compensation, if not honor the warranty. After I had the car inspected I was contacted by Lexus and they said, quite frankly, they denied the claim and that was it!! Do not bother to discuss the matter further, that was it. Now I am faced with a bill of $700+ for a problem that Lexus has acknowledged. Is this any way to be treated by a customer and a dealership which specialized in Lexus line?

They offer a wide variety from sports cars to SUVs... Id recommend any car Lexus has to offer. Ive owned a few!! They are also priced affordably!! And offer a variety of concept cars!! Lexus uses the best materials and supplies to construct their vehicles. They use the latest technology and are usually the first to use a lot of options and most options come standard!! Even though stock Lexus cars have more options than your usual car they also offer additional options that most cars do not even offer yet!!! This makes Lexus the best car out there!! Most Lexus cars can equip at least 5 passengers... Besides the 2 door sports cars every car rides at least five!! The bigger SUV rides 7 with extra room for luggage and whatnot!!

Lexus IS 350 model 2014 - I had an accident on the highway where the right side back tire was punctured and the car has rolled over 5 times. The car was rated as total damage after this accident. The strange thing that Air bag system has not activated as if there was no air bag system in the car. I think this is a major failure in the safety system in this expensive car that has to be known to everyone. For your info this car has run only 15000 kilometers. I have purchased this car from the Toyota dealer in Saudi Arabia on June 23rd, 2014.

After purchasing two Lexus’, I thought I would stick with the brand for a very long time. This will probably not be the case. After having a series of very negative experiences with my 17 RC350, I will most likely never buy another Lexus. A little while after purchasing the RC it started developing a tapping sound. This noise continued to get louder and I was able to hear it from inside the cabin of the vehicle. I was able to locate the noise coming from the mechanical fuel pump. I took it in to my local dealer for repair. They told me they were unable to duplicate the concern and the assistant service manager displayed no customer service skills whatsoever in any attempt to help me with my issue.I contacted the Service manager the next business day and was able to come in and work with him and the diagnostic tech to duplicate this noise. We spent an hour test driving and listening to another RC they had on the lot. I was told to make another appointment and they would take another look at it. While it was in this time, the dealer involved the regional field specialist and dug deeper. I was ultimately told that even though they were able to duplicate this concern, it was normal operation.I made a complaint with Lexus customer care and this complaint was escalated twice. Two of the three people I spoke to at Lexus were more interested in talking than actually listening to my concern and again showing any kind of customer service. This includes the last individual who was the highest executive level I could escalate this. They made it very apparent that they were not interested in assisting a repeat customer with a valid concern. They made it very clear that losing any further business was less important than repairing my fuel pump.Lexus advertises their luxury vehicles to be the quietest on the road, but when you bring them a valid noise complaint they don’t want to honor the bumper to bumper factory warranty. This is the opposite of what I expect when I invest in a luxury car company most of all Lexus. I did quite a bit of my own independent research and determined that fuel pumps are a bit of a sore spot with Lexus and a bit of an Achilles heel.My vehicle shares the same fuel pump as the IS and the GS. I was given a 2019 GS as a loaner vehicle and the fuel pump was at least 80% quieter. I was also able to determine that the fuel pump for all these cars has 4 successive part numbers. Lexus has obviously redesigned this part several times for important reasons. I am left to wonder if my generation was updated due to excessive noise. Ultimately the unwillingness of Lexus to take responsibility for their product and their customer service leaves me no other choice but to leave record of this and let others know what I have experienced.

Ive been trying to resolve this issue for about 2 years now. My car dashboard has become very sticky and when its very sunny outside, it is hard to see through the window because of the reflection from the dashboard. When I was living in South Florida, I mention this to Lexus of North Miami. They were no help and stated to me that I should be getting a letter in the mail, which never came. When I move down to Maryland, I also brought this matter to the attention of Lexus of Silver Spring and again, the individual helping me stated that I was not on the list which didnt make sense to me. I call the Lexus Customer Satisfaction number but the rep stated that I wasnt eligible. I dont understand why I wouldnt be eligible since I did purchase the car from a Certified Lexus dealership.

My mother bought a 2008 Lexus RX 350. At 88k miles, she began experiencing issues with her car while driving and brought it to the dealership for an inspection. They told her that there were massive problems with her engine which would cost over $5k to fix. This car isnt even at 100k miles yet so it was incredible that there would be any engine problems. For what its worth, my mother is a very safe, responsible driver and she has never skipped any maintenance on her car. We asked what our options were and they told us that we were past the warranty, so our only option would be to pay the $5k out of pocket. Obviously, we were upset so we called the consumer hotline that they provided us to voice our concerns, and we spoke with a representative named Carlos. He admitted that there were known engine issues with the RX models and said that he would call us back with a solution.A few days later, he called us and said that he would cover only 50% of the parts. He would absolutely not budge even though we told him that Lexus should cover 100% of the parts and labor as this was a known issue. I feel that Lexus sold us a car with a faulty engine and is now refusing any responsibility. At this point, I am seriously considering suing the company and will never buy a Lexus again.

There were three different models to choose from for this particular make. We decided to go with the second best model because it included the options that we wanted. The exterior is sleek with sharp lines and soft contours. The interior is also sleek. I like the sound system and the navigation system. With our particular model, we decided that we wanted to upgrade a couple of options, particularly the sound and navigation systems. We also decided on the premier leather seats. In addition, we are able to comfortably seat five adults. The capacity was one of our major concerns when purchasing a new car. This model definitely fits our needs.

Lexus needs a few more models as to distinguish itself from other luxury brands. Right now, Lexus has a staple of sedans and coupes for a sporty type of brand. I am not impressed with their SUV and perhaps they need a different type of crossover. I found too that Lexus did not offer as many upgrades as I had hoped to find from a luxury car company. I felt limited by the options available. Otherwise, Lexus has a very Alex and modern look which is supported by modern in-car features. Lexus does a good job of incorporate a more modern feel into a luxury car. The car also fits about 4 comfortably which is more than enough for me. I think it very average in that respect.

My teenage son was driving home late after work and the streets were empty. However there was one car that enticed my son to race. Little by little the cars exceeded the speed limit. The police told us the cars were going 85mph. My sons car hit a bump in the road, went airborne and when he came down, he didnt want to hit the other car that was racing him, so he overcorrected the other way, hit a curb and rolled the 2007 Lexus 350 6 times. The car was mangled. But my son was able to walk away from the accident with a small bruise on his shoulder where the seat belt was and a scratch on his shin. The police who saw the accident could not believe that my son crawled out of the lexus with out any injuries. A higher power is responsible along with the excellent frame of the lexus. The front drivers side and passenger side overheard and side frame was intact. The rest of the car looked like it went thru the blender. I wish I could post pictures. The lexus 350 has always been a smooth riding car. Even though it was a 2007 with 130,000 miles on it, it rode beautifully. Needless to say my sister who owned the 2007 lexus 350 decided to buy another lexus. With its safety features, there was no question as to what kind of car she would get. However since she had a choice my sister purchased an RX 350 SUV.

It has always been my dreams to one day own a Lexus. However, this is not what I intended or expected from such a prestigious and renowned luxury car dealership. Two weeks after purchasing my Pre Owned Certified Lexus ES 350 I have had nothing but major problems with this car, both mechanical and interior issues. The paint on the car is fading and very spotty, the armrest and the leather seats are tearing apart by the day. Typically I am the only one using the car, other than my husband who has his own car, and I do not have any children that would exacerbate the problem. Just recently there was a problem with my trunk latch that was making it almost impossible to close my trunk. I took it to the dealership, and thank goodness it was covered by the warranty.Once I received the car back, about a week later, I noticed the same thing started happening again with the latch, and I also noticed an echo sound when closing the trunk that was not there before they serviced the vehicle. Immediately I contacted their corporate office and told them my concerns, but to no avail. They offered me a voucher that could probably pay for one tire, and just wished me away. I really feel abandoned and betrayed by this dealership, and to some degree, heart broken because this was my dream car. I hope that they can get these current problems resolved without dragging me through a long and drawn out process, and not having to obtain a lawyer to get to the bottom of these issues. If anyone has any suggestions or comments that could help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

I bought my brand new 2012 Lexus RX 350 in 2011 and luckily I bought platinum service with it. In 2016, when I feel the pulsation in my ride, I brought my car in for a checkup. The salesperson Mitchell ** told me a bunch of issues with my car and told me that I need to pay for the extra services with came up to be roughly $1,500. Thats ridiculous when I have the platinum warranty. I told him to look at my coverage and only do the work that are covered. He then told me that I need to pay the $148.71 fee since they had the technician assessed my car. That was absurd since I already told them the issue and the technician jumped into the car and took a ride and agreed with that but I have to pay for his fee?I was like whatever, if I pay that fee then they will fix my issues. After I paid the fee, Mitchell then told me that he had to call Lexus warranty service to check on the coverage and it will take a couple of days. He says those parts will be cover but he still needs to get a confirmation with Lexus warranty. So I unhappily left the service center and totally forgot about it. When I remember about the issue after I got the oil change, I went home and pulled out the contract that I first bought the warranty and surprisingly. Its listed in black and white that the rear shocks and ball joints are covered. So I showed it to the new salesperson and hes happily helping me with that. Only to replace the leaking rear shock. But not the ball joints since they are now in perfect condition because I got new tires. How is it that when I first brought in my car, those were the issues that you made me pay and now since its covered under the warranty, they are fine now? Its the same old ball joints. Time does not fix mechanism issues on automobiles without replacement.

Lexus is generous enough to defer lease payments up to two months. This means of course that those payments will be due at the end of the lease. However if your lease ends 3 months from now that makes no sense. In this uncertain times where people are getting laid off or businesses have been closed it would be nice if Lexus would understand that. How hypocritical is it that they have a promo with no payments for 90 days on new lease or purchases only. So you have to commit to get in debt in order to get that benefit.

Lexus GX460 is a great vehicle, a true SUV. The only negative is poor gas mileage coupled with a small gas tank; so many gas stops on long trips. Nevertheless, perfect size for four adults. With 4 adults you do have enough cargo room for 2 adults and 2-3 children.

I contacted both Lexus and my local dealer in Orlando. No one was able to provide any information -- how long before being fixed, etc. I asked for a supervisor at Lexus and they said that it would be 48 hours before I would receive a call.At my local dealership, I was able to talk to a lady in charge of customer (un)relations and she was no help. I asked to speak to the General Manager and was denied. She said that she was as high as I could go. I do not know about you, but when companies deny you the opportunity to voice your concerns to higher management, I am extremely concerned about a business who operates in this manner. I like my car, but the service and lack of information from a supposedly Luxury car company is appalling. My last Lexus. This type of customer service is very short sighted and will cost Lexus millions of dollars -- not the way to keep repeat customers!!

This is my 2nd Lexus: my first one, ES 330 was a great car from mechanical to cosmetics! This 2nd, ES 350 is the poorest quality you can get! I was told by a service manager in N Miami, that the reason the interior materials (dash board, seats cover, cosmetically wood design, that all are falling apart), are made to disintegrate after a while! No kidding!!!? They actually do, I cannot even clean the interior because the board is jelly like, the seats covers are all broken after 2-3 years and the color will come off when you clean them, the wood design is flying up peeling as well everywhere, at 72 000 miles I had to replace the front direction and before, the steering wheel fell! And you would believe that for over $42000, you will buy a nice quality car! No, not anymore! I was back in forth with Lexus via emails, I went to the dealer to show what is happening to the car, they said that I have to pay if I don’t like the way it looks! I called to have at least the dash board replace since is melting, but two customer service from Lexus Corporate said that the offer expired on March 31 this year and they won’t extend it, although they never told me about it when I went to the dealer or on our exchanged emails! Think twice if you planning to get a Lexus at this time: it is not the same quality or customer service as they started! A shame!

I just leased a 2017 Lexus NX 200T and have been driving it for about 4 months. I am very unhappy with the Bluetooth system. Previously, I had a Ford Edge and the Bluetooth was far better than the Lexus. I never had any issues with it. When I place a call in the Lexus, I will say Please call John Smith. It then pulls up John Smith as well as several other people and asks me to select who I am trying to call from the list. If it doesnt do this, then the other thing it does is when I say Please call John Smith, it says are you sure you want to call the contact? It absolutely NEVER just allows me to call someone without taking me through these steps. I have been to two different Lexus dealers about this. One told me it would take my new car a while to recognize my voice... OK, it has been 4 months and I went through the voice recognition set up a while ago. The other dealer could not explain it. Had I known this is what it is going to be like just to place a call, I never would have leased this vehicle as I am stuck with it for the next several years.

Different dealerships offer different options, so you will have to check with your local dealership to see what they offer. The dashboard on my Lexus IS 250 model 2006 is literally melting. You put your hand on top and you can actually see your full hand print on the dashboard. During hot sunny day, the melting dashboard gives a shinning glare on the windscreen which actually shines in your eyes, blinding you while driving.During hot Florida summer days while driving with the windows up, the melting dashboard plastic is probably releasing toxins, who knows? The car has only 31,000 miles and the car is already in workshop to replace the GPS screen. Luckily, I had extended warranty which will cover the GPS, but not the dashboard. I talked to the company about the dashboard and they will only supply the parts but not cover the labor cost which is over $700. Its not the cost of labor that angers me but the fact that they agree that the product they used was faulty and still, not do the right thing to take full responsibility and cover the total cost.

I wanted a car with all leather seats and the Lexus salesperson and the Lexus V Spec sheet and the Lexus window sticker all said that it had leather seats. This was in error as the seats are trimmed leather with leather only on a smaller part of the seats. I didnt notice this until 2 days later and I immediately contacted the dealer. They didnt offer a solution and so I went to Lexus USA. The Window Sticker/Monroney sticker is a Federally mandated contract for what is on the car, therefore the data was wrong on this and after 3 weeks, after they tried to tell me it was all leather only to succumb later that it isnt, told me that they will not buy back the car and closed the case. I brought my wife’s 2002 in for regular service to Palm Beach Lexus. It needed tires and some maintenance, which I authorized. After doing the initial work that I had authorized for around $2,500 they sent me an estimate for approximately $8,500 for items they said also needed repair. One of the items they claimed was faulty, was the engine mounts. Since the car only had 66,000 miles on it, I found that hard to believe since they had replaced the engine mounts previously when the car had about 38,000 miles. My wife and I have been Palm Beach Lexus customers for around 20 years and we have purchased 4 Lexus SUVs from them. We have had good service up until 2-3 years ago when they changed service managers, since then the service has gone downhill. We then took the vehicle to an independent repair shop to see what additional service was actually needed. They came to the conclusion that 50% of the estimate that Palm Beach Lexus gave us, was not at all necessary. They claimed the engine mounts were in like new condition and many of the other items on the estimate were absolutely not necessary. I obviously was upset and called Lexus Guest Experience Center and spoke to Eric ** a case manager. He said that since the vehicle was out of warranty they couldnt and wouldn’t do anything to help and he did not seem at all concerned that the Lexus dealership was inflating estimates. He said since we were good Lexus customers he would give us a $1,500 three month Good Will Offer to purchase or lease another Lexus. I received and filed the Good Will email offer because I was planning on turning in my 2016 RX450H for a new vehicle. Two months later I started shopping for a new Lexus at a different dealership because I was not about to use Palm Beach Lexus. When I looked at the Good Will Offer the expiration date was dated the same date I spoke to the case manager (Eric **). I again called Lexus Guest Experience and ended up speaking with someone else. I told that person I was very disappointed that no one ever followed up on my original claim regarding the false estimate I was give from Palm Beach Lexus. And to make matters worse I was also given a Good Will Offer that expired in one day. That person told me I had to speak with Eric ** the original case manager and he would call me back. Eric ** called me back a few days later and seemed to have a bad attitude. I told him I was in the process of leasing or buying a new Lexus and would appreciate it if they could extend the offer. He said the Good Will Offer was only good for 3 months and he would not extend the offer. He said when the offer expires they would review it. Obviously, I was not very happy with his response. A few weeks later, I found a new 2019 Lexus RX450H at J M Lexus that I was planning to get, so I called Eric ** to get the Good Will Offer authorized. It took him a few days to get back to me and when he did he said he wouldn’t authorize the Good Will Offer until after I purchase the new vehicle. I told him that was unacceptable and I wanted to speak with someone else. He said he is the only one that makes that decision. I told him I was going to write a letter to Lexus Headquarters and he said go ahead, but it’s just going to come back to me. After all this I have no intention of ever purchasing another Lexus.

We HAD (with emphasis) a 2018 Lexus GX 460 with only 27,000 miles on it when the alternator decided to completely fail. We live in a very remote area in the summer that is not close to a Lexus dealership so we had a local mechanic replace the alternator. When we returned to our main residence in Florida we took the vehicle to the dealership we purchased it from for a checkup and presented them the bill for replacing the alternator. The service representative said they would submit it to Lexus for reimbursement and we should get a check within a few weeks. Weeks passed and finally, we received a call from our rep saying we would have to deal directly with Lexus Corporation. The corporate office made us jump from hoop to hoop while knowing full well they had no intentions of reimbursing us because we didn’t use a “certified Lexus mechanic”. Lexus has always touted themselves as a “customer comes first” company. Clearly, these core values have gone by the wayside. Additionally, their quality control that they have always prided themselves in has totally gone down the tubes. After reading all these negative reviews I can see I’m not the only one who has issues with this company. We will not be buying any more Lexus vehicles in our lifetime and many of our friends who own a Lexus will hear our story. Sadly Lexus will be keeping OUR $921.97. They apparently will need it to keep their head above water from all of their problems.

I own a 2007 Lexus RX350 that was purchased in 2008. It has been a very reliable car with few mechanical issues over the last 11 years. In the last year, my dashboard began to crack and now is split in several places. I contacted my Lexus dealer who negated to even inform me there was a national recall on the dash itself. I had taken my vehicle in for routine service during that recall envelope and not one thing was mentioned! Park Place Lexus/DFW area practically blew off my concerns off and told me to call the Lexus 800 number. I was subsequently told the recall period had expired and their attitude stemmed around them informing me it was MY responsibility to check for recalls. What??? Now my paint is fading/peeling even though my car is perpetually garaged and I work overseas 18 days/month. It only has 67k miles! I really loved my Lexus but my experience with my dealer and Lexus HQ has all but convinced me its time to go with another brand. Lexus... youve lost my business!!! Buyers... We took the car to the local dealership in January, August and October asking for them to identify and repair the brake issue. Each time, the dealership told us that they could not find any problems with our brakes without even trying some random things to see if this would fix the issues. Lexus Corporate sent out an inspector to exam our car, but couldnt find anything. Lexus will not help us.On Sunday, November 17th, we were driving back in heavy traffic. The traffic came to a quick stop and my husband again had the same brake issue. Fortunately, he was able to swerve to the shoulder to miss the car in front of him. We are beyond frustrated, as the next time the result could be an accident resulting in an injury or worse. The dealer told us we have exhausted our options with them. Now we have a vehicle which is very scary to drive – especially in heavy traffic or anytime there could be an unforeseen quick stop. We have a very unsafe vehicle that Lexus has turned us away saying they have no more options. However, they didnt even try blowing out the brake lines, adjusting the brakes, reprogramming the ABS - nothing. At this point, I would never buy another Lexus. Good luck if you have any issues.

In February of 2013 I leased a 2013 RX350 from Lexus in Peoria, IL. I kept smelling an odor coming from the vents and took it back to the dealership to fix the problem. They sprayed disinfectant in the vents and brought it back. That was in August of 2013, I could still smell it so they picked up the car again, sprayed again and changed the cabin filter. Still the smell was there! I have called the corporate office and they wont do anything more about it. In September I had to go to doctors office, received 3 shots and my doctor sent me to emergency room, got more shots and they did some blood test. They think I had an allergic reaction, we think because of the mildew. When I told corporate about this they said it was because of my driving habits,???? I have tried everything I know to do. In February 2014 I had ANOTHER allergic reaction, was sent to doctors office and had to get a shot! Was in bed for the whole weekend again. I am only leasing this vehicle and they wont fix it!!

I recently bought a 2006 Lexus IS350, For some odd reason it was difficult for me to drive the vehicle due to visibility, turns out the vehicle has a worldwide issue with melting dashboards! Making it hard to drive as it reflects your visibility. The first thing I did was contact my nearest Lexus dealer and ask if they can fix this issue! GUESS WHAT! THEY CANT AND WONT! Turns out theyve extended the warranty already for 10 years, so for customers and drivers who have bought the car after the 10 year mark ARE OUT OF LUCK. THIS IS SHOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL AS IT DIMINISHES YOUR VISIBILITY! Other than this car I also own a 2008 Lexus RX350 WITH NO ISSUES, but Lexus has completely let me down on this. This shows they dont care about their product and customers, sadly this will be my last Lexus.

Lovely company. They really did help me out with all the bills and paper work. I bought all in cash so that I wont have to pay more in the future. The sales man were pretty cool. I thought theyd be a lil too much or too forceful. Also, interior was clean, looked brand new, no miles in the car. Oh man the outside was clean, no scratches nor dents. Badass car. This time they really did over the limit. Im one happy customer with my Lexus. Couldnt ask for more. I love the car. Best choose Ive ever done.

Because I could not afford a new or near new RX400H, I was treated as if I was a low life and the pretty words from an executive at Lexus headquarters who claimed to represent Mark Templin, the VP of Lexus. I have not even made my first payment on the vehicle I purchased and Lexus wants $2,400 for defective headlight switch and both left and right rear wheel bearings. I have had vehicles well over 200K miles that were SUVs and used off road; this vehicle I purchased never was and these parts have failed. I suggest you never contact Lexus.com because they will never assist you. This was my first and last Lexus product. I was treated as an uneducated fool who is wasting this executives time. I guess he had a golf game or had an appointment for a massage.

I have a 2008 Lexus is250, Im original owner - 36,000 miles on car & Navigation System stopped working? I have not been to the dealership yet because I wanted to do my research before talking with them. This has been talked about & an issue since 2010! Why has there been no recall? I found out that all dealerships can do a certain amount of free repairs at their discretion! With the low miles, the fact that its a known problem & I cant control my heater or air conditioner without it, making it hazardous if I need immediate window defrosting & that I will take all my info in front of a judge, hopefully they do us both a favor & just fix it for free! Has anyone else taken Lexus to small claims court? I guess I may be the first??? I can print out at least 500 complaints about issues with the Navigation System failing!!! Why hasnt Lexus done anything about this??? Theres a FB page dedicated to Why hasnt Lexus recalled their Nav System yet!!! Ill update as I move along in this process.

Lexus has a broad range of varieties to choose from. Personally I like the 430. Its very roomy, gets around to notice and stop it and its a beautiful vehicle. The interior is leather, has Bluetooth that Parks itself and the maintenance minimum XM Satellite Radio, heated seats, adjustable steering column and also GPS. And it also has a wonderful moon roof. The upgrades has hands-free parking, heated seats which are very important in the wintertime and cooled seats are very important in the summertime. Remote mirrors which are heated is very important in the winter time to keep the snow off. Passenger capacity is very good. It seats 5 comfortably, two in the front and 3 in the back with another leg room in the front to compensate. A 6-foot person can probably sit back there pretty much constantly in the back of the car.

The Lexus RX is the most luxurious car Ive ever driven. Im always complimented about it and the interior is just stunning. And for 40,000 dollars it was definitely a steal and completely worth it. Driving it is smooth and the ride is quiet. The acceleration in 5 seconds took me by surprise. The Lexus RXs can typically hold 6 people. It would be suitable for a small family. If you have a bigger family, Lexus can still hook you up with the GS and the LX etc. I got it in a nice silver color and I always get the urge to wash it (to preserve its beauty). The seats are in great shape, and I find it so amazing that minimal additions and changes could transform it that great. You can customize the interior, exterior and wheels. Its like picking the toppings to add on your perfectly nice fro-yo - its not necessary, but its better - and then you eat it (drive it) and feel content afterwards.

I recently had the experience of being denied repairs of my Lexus (VIN 2T2B
I recently had the experience of being denied repairs of my Lexus (VIN 2T2BK1BA7AC015824). A known problem exists in the steering column of my particular model, a 2010-2011 Lexus RX350. So, this parts failing falls under the following: (1) a known problem by Lexus and (2) a very new car still under warranty. The only caveat to this situation is that I travel for work, and I spend some of my time in Minsk. I have a Lexus sedan here in the United States, and only just recently took the RX 350 to be my car in Minsk. There, I began to discover the steering noise issue. I understand that the standard procedure for Lexus would be to only cover warranty issues within the United States.I personally feel that this is a special case; I will have to have the vehicle repaired in Europe, so I am prepared to pay for the labor through a Lexus dealer, but I strongly feel that the $1700, plus part I had to order to replace an existing flaw in my Lexus, should not be paid by me. As mentioned, I purchased this Lexus in the United States, I still own another Lexus in the United States, and one day, I will return this Lexus to the United States. My request to have this part paid for has been denied. I find this very hard to believe. The trend with many large companies is a disregard towards customer service that will build brand loyalty. I did not think Lexus was one of these companies, and I am deeply disappointed. It has been my understanding that Lexus leads the industry in retaining the highest percentage of vehicle owners. Neal Oddes, director of product research at J.D. Power and Associates said that, By satisfying its customers on many different levels, Lexus consistently enjoys high-retention rates and “customer retention is extremely valuable in the auto industry because it costs manufacturers less to keep existing customers than to attract new ones, and strong retention fosters favorable word of mouth. Why now would Lexus want to risk its word of mouth reputation in my case? I have a friend who has been at war with GM over the poorest of customer relations efforts and vehicle issues; I personally found it comforting in owning a Lexus. I do not have to deal with such customer disregard, and would readily make this known. Now, I no longer have comfort in owning a Lexus. Where is the world class customer service that creates retention? Maybe you should all take a moment and read the following article on customer service. I understand that this issue is falling under what might be considered special circumstances; however, I had believed Lexus would treat me as a loyal customer, not as an invaluable statistic. This is all very unfortunate, and on principle alone, I am not going to stop pursuing a resolve to this situation. I know there has to be someone in the Lexus organization who cares enough to spend $1700 of Lexus money in order to preserve a reputation that has likely taken years and billions of dollars to build.A colleague of mine recently shared a negative experience he had with a large Canadian airline. He had purchased a ticket to return home last year for the Christmas holiday but was unable to do so because of medical reasons. It was his understanding that the value of the ticket would be honored for one year from the scheduled date of travel. However, the airlines policy was actually to credit the value of the ticket for one year from the purchase date. This information wasnt printed on his ticket, and when he contacted the airline, he spoke with four members of its customer service department, including a senior manager, and received four different explanations of the airlines policy and his possible remedies.During a time following the horrific events of September 2001, my colleague thought this airline, now more than ever (especially after requesting government relief due to lost revenue), would bend over backward to satisfy him, and keep him as a regular customer. Airlines were slashing fares as much as 50 percent to entice fearful passengers to once again take to the skies. He was utterly shocked and appalled. However, he experienced the lengths to which this airline went in the opposite direction. Each of the four representatives gave four greatly varied definitions of the airlines refund and rescheduling policy. Each apologized for his inconvenience yet repeatedly told him what they could not - and would not - do for him. In the short term, the immediate savings by the airline were $400, the value of the unused ticket. The net loss over the long term, however, will be much, much greater. Not only will he and his family never use this airline (they spend about $3,000 annually) they are so furious that theyve told many friends about this experience. Not surprisingly, everyone theyve told has been shocked and appalled, also, saying they, too, will never fly with this carrier in the future.Understanding that the customer is the source of a companys revenue, it logically follows that every customer must be made as happy as possible, especially so during an industry-wide crisis of historic magnitude. Seeing as its not the owner of a company that routinely interacts with customers, but rather the sales staff, operators, customer service representatives and et cetera have direct contact. It must be a clearly understood rule that the customer must always feel right. The customer has to be treated in a way that sets a company apart from competitors. If a company successfully merges this philosophy with a superior product or service, it can earn customer loyalty and in turn, become profitable. Case in point: Nordstrom. A Nordstrom customers experience provides a perfect counter to the aforementioned airlines woeful customer service practices. For years, the story has circulated about a man who had returned tires to a Nordstrom store, and it provides an excellent example of how to exercise a customer-first approach to business. The story is true. Nordstrom built a store in Alaska at a location that had previously included a tire store. A man, failing to realize the tire store no longer existed, brought car tires into Nordstrom, and asked for a refund. Despite the companys position as a clothier (seemingly everyone knows the only rubber Nordstroms sells is on the bottom of sneakers), the sales associate nonetheless issued some type of refund or store credit, thus satisfying the customer. When people talk about this story, many cant remember if it was a man or a woman, a young or old person, but they always remember that it was Nordstrom who put its customer first.Although this example is extreme, and I dont suggest that a company make a habit of issuing refunds, for merchandise it doesnt sell, the underlying principle stands: For long-term prosperity and patron loyalty, a customer must always feel right, even when shes wrong. Even if a company such as the airline in question doesnt want to adhere to this same level of customer service, or more likely, doesnt believe it can afford to, the only question I would ask its top brass is, Can you afford not to? Word of mouth is by far the single most important marketing vehicle a company can hope for. Think of what the word of the mouth may do for this airlines long-term outlook. Not only has the airline lost loyal customers and likely many more once this story spreads, but more importantly, the employees who initially offered the incorrect information to a loyal customer and then blamed the customer himself for acting on the information he received, are still employed. How much more inaccurate information these employees are going to disperse, and what will be the resulting net loss?Follow Nordstroms lead, not the woeful path cut by the airline. Before the next customer crisis arises at your company, I urge you to ask yourself the following questions, so you are prepared to handle the situation appropriately: How does your company resolve customer disputes, concerns, questions or problems? Do your people automatically go on the defensive, citing policies, procedures and counting warranty periods to the day? Is there a mission statement or customer policy in place that governs all aspects of customer service, including conflict resolution? You cant put the onus on your customers to get it right every time. Too many companies focus on the reasons why they cant help a customer, rather than offering solutions to help fix his problem. The reality is, problems will arise. The problems are not the challenge. The challenge is responding to these problems effectively; these responses help determine a companys ultimate success or failure.

Updated on 09/04/2019: Lexus has refused responsibility for the poor design of the 10 speaker sound system in this vehicle. No fix. In a arbitration hearing an arbitrator referenced that the design of the sound system is such that it will not operate property (two regular speakers in the back cabin are simply overwhelmed and stated that this is how Lexus designed the speakers) but still denied claim - what a joke and a waste of time. My last Lexus!!!Original review: Rear speakers are worthless. Will only work if you fade completely to the rear (no sound then from front) and increase volume to at least 45 level. Lexus will not respond other than to say that is normal for this model - a manufacturing problem. Class action?

A little over a year ago we purchased a 1995 Lexus RX330. We purchased the vehicle as our first luxury vehicle with the hopes that the money would be well spent on luxury and quality of the vehicle. But after having the vehicle for almost 1 year we noticed that the dash started cracking along the front edge and then after picking my wife up from work one day a large chunk of the dash right above the radio broke off and fell to the floor. We immediately called Lexus and asked about having the dash repaired they informed us that there was a recall on the dash and to call Lexus about having the dash repaired. We called Lexus and notified them of the cracked Dash and they informed us that there is indeed a recall for the cracked Dash but they told us the date for the recall expired the day before we called. But that they would look into it and see if there was something they could do.We took the time to take the vehicle to the local Lexus dealer to have pictures taken. Have it inspected and sent to Lexus so that they can review it only for them to call us and tell us they were denying the repairs on the vehicle. So now we are stuck with a vehicle in which the resale value has plummeted due to the crack Dash. Im very disappointed with Lexus that they do not stand behind their vehicle or even offered to pay a portion of the dash to be repaired. If this is how Lexus treats their customers I no longer want this vehicle and will be trading it in as soon as possible. My wife and I were also considering buying another new Lexus because we did like the vehicle until we see that Lexus does not stand behind their vehicle quality at all!!!

First off, I LOVE my 2006 RX 330! I have no complaints about the performance of my car. I have been having issues with the paint. Several years ago, I had the paint redone on one of my outside mirrors. Now the clear coat is coming off of both mirrors and all of the handles. Its also beginning to peel from the hood of the car. I have also noticed rust under a couple of the handles. I bought my Lexus at Butler South Atlanta. On the very first day, July 3rd 2017, that I received my new Lexus, there a major problem by the time it was driven 152 miles (very first day of having my car). The car went into limp mode, not being able to exceed 25MPH. This was alarming to me since this was suppose to be a new car. I was shocked to know a check engine light came on and the car would not go past 25 MPH. When it was taken into the dealership, the mechanic cleared the codes and said it was suppose to be fine. A few days later, I noticed a very loud knocking sound (Clack, Clack, Clack) coming from the engine. It sounded terrible, much like an old truck that has several hundred thousand miles on it. The sound even began growing in intensity. When I took it to the dealership (2nd visit in less than 15 days), I was told by the service advisor that this was normal. I was shocked to hear this diagnostic. I left but each day the sound kept growing louder. Eventually, I took it back. 2 weeks later (3rd visit in about 30 days), this time I requested that someone else looked at the car so a supervisor came out. He immediately said that the car needed to be taken in. I was very frustrated since I had not been able to enjoy my new car which is suppose to be a reliable brand. At the dealership, the engine of the car was stripped to get to the problem. After 9 days of having my car at Lexus, I was told that the work was completed. I was informed that there was damage to the cylinders and a block assembly was replaced. The cost of this repair was more than $10,000. Here was a new car with less than 700 miles with damage to it costing more than $10,000. This repair, however, was covered under the existing warranty. When I contacted Lexus customer satisfaction about the issue, I was told that there was nothing they could do since they already honored the warranty by repairing the car. The case manager, Amie, was hostile to me, and further offered no solution or attempt to please a dissatisfied customer. I requested to speak to her supervisor who called me two days later and demonstrated a poor ability to listen, always demanding that he be listened to. I am shocked that Lexus employs people for customer satisfaction who treat customers in such a pejorative manner. These people are giving Lexus and Peggy Turner a poor brand image. The supervisor, Mike, told me all they could do is offer me a two-time credit for services. Really? A new car with problems from the very first day of ownership and which has caused me much distress and frustration. From the moment I saw the $10,000 cost of repair for this new car, I was immediately troubled and wanted a mutually agreeable solution. To date, Lexus has refused to offer me a reasonable solution for a Lemon car that I bought. On July 3 when I got my car, I was planning an out of town trip with my family for July 4th but the trip was cancelled because of problem with the lemon RX350. This experience especially having to deal with a non-customer satisfaction office, has left me with nothing but a nightmare and a car that I dont know what is the next problem that will occur. Ill post pics of the car and the $10,000 plus bill to social media to sensitize people so they can make a determination whether they really want to purchase a car from a brand that is insensitive to customer needs. PS. Two weeks ago I sent an email to the GM at the dealership from where I bought the Lexus and he refused to display the common courtesy of giving me a response.

However, it had become a nightmare to me... In addition to the time, inconvenience caused, I basically STUCK WITH IT!!! I CANNOT SELL IT BECAUSE OF OIL LEAK NUISANCE (NO ONE WILL BUY THIS CAR ONCE DISCLOSE OF SUBJECT ISSUE!!!).Additionally, it caused UNSECURE, NON-RELIABLE and MENTAL BURDEN every time driving this car, as I simply tensed and afraid of when this will happen again!!! I purchased my Lexus 2009 RX 350 USE from a Lexus Dealership with Mileage around 35,000/-. Three weeks back when my wife was Driving car to work in the Morning after 10 min of Drive VSC light came up, and after a mile or so Check Engine Light Came up. By the time she stopped the car to Safe place, Car interior area started smelling like burning rubber. She stopped the car and get it towed to nearest local mechanic place. I gave call to Nearest Lexus dealership and asked them about the Issue and if that would be covered by Lexus Warranty. To my total surprised, they declined covering under the warranty because Powertrain warranty expired on Bases of Time of First Sell (72 Months or 70000 Miles). They argued that even though car mileage is still under Warranty period, Since Warranty Expired Four months ago, they would not cover it. Dealership asked me to take this to Lexus Customer Care.I called Lexus customer care and explain them the potential safety concern about sudden water pump failure without any prior indication and asked them if they would cover due to the fact Mileage is still under the warranty limit and close proximity to warranty expiry time limit. I was asked to get vehicle to safe place and wait for Manager to get back to me within three days (By Friday, Incident happened on Tuesday). I waited for call from Lexus but no one returned call till Friday end of business day. I called back and asked to Speak to Manager over there. First of all when she (Vicky) came on call, she had no Idea what issue I was referring to, because she started talking about some Oil pipe failure etc. I had to repeat entire story again, which shows that they didnt even look at my case even though I was told that someone review it and get back to me.Talking to Manager (Vicky) I tried to explain since its part of powertrain and problem existed even Under the warranty period and I dont have direct control over its failure, its clearly indication of bad quality of engine and parts. The most important part is safety hazard of car catching fire due to overheating. Lexus Customer Service stick to the three months over the powertrain warranty and refuse to take any accountability. I was asked to tow the vehicle to nearest Lexus dealership which is 30 miles away from where car is stalled. I asked Lexus about some level of assurance on warranty coverage but they keep on saying We cannot give you assurance of any help at this point. They will talk to Lexus dealership and then only consider this for help. I called nearest Lexus Dealership and asked for the estimation of water pump replacement, they quote me $1200+. Considering towing expense (about $300), hefty dealership cost and absolutely no assurance from Lexus Customer Service, I decided to get water pump replaced at the Local mechanic place where car was pulled over for diagnostics. I paid complete expense out of pocket and filed reimbursement claim with all receipt and documentation. To my total surprise, they declined the claim based on the fact that it wasnt replaced at Lexus Dealership. I swallowed this poisons pill and decided to move on. After three days of driving around (all together less than 100 miles), check engine light came on with VSC light. Took it to same mechanic who replaced water pump and he said its nothing to do with water pump. Now engine is misfiring and heating up. Since it sounded like major problem, I called Lexus Customer service and ask for help in this. I was again asked for to take it to Dealership which I did. Primary diagnostic from Lexus dealership pointed to structural damage to Engine due to premature water pump failure and advise me to replace whole engine, which is huge expense. My bases for taking this to claim is : Water pump is part of Powertrain and has no influence by driving pattern. Failure of water pump at 61000 miles is very premature and indicate toward inherent problem with engine and related components. Safety Issue: There was no sign of water pump failure until last moment when it actually gave up all of sudden. There was very little time before Check Engine lights came on and further damage due to overheating. If it was ignored for couple of miles car would have caught into fire. Powertrain warranty is 70000 Miles or 72 Months, whereas cars mileage is 61000 and time since first usage is 75 months (just 3 months over the warranty). Considering close proximity to warranty expiration, Lexus should consider this for warranty extension. This Engine series is infamous for cooling system issues and several service bulletins have been issued regarding it. Several complaints have been filed about the similar problem, where water pump failure and subsequent engine damage.

I am the original owner of a 2008 GS350. I bought a Lexus because they had a reputation for high reliability. My car certainly has not lived up to that reputation. I have had tons of little problems but with only 62,000 miles on my car the engine blew up while on the freeway and 12 miles from any service. I had a headlight that wasnt working and it cost me $2200 to repair it because my ballast was faulty and they require you to replace the whole light assembly (lenses, plastic parts, etc.). What an insane expense and an environmental disaster. Lexus Customer Satisfaction (lack of satisfaction?) basically did nothing to compensate me or fix the problem. I will NEVER buy another Lexus. I highly recommend that you also stay away from any Lexus. They are certainly not the company they used to be.

Lexus was very reliable, smooth and sleek, and I couldnt ask for a better car. It was great, beautiful and it had all kinds of features that made it one of a kind type of vehicle. I could not see myself driving nothing else and I literally thought it was one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen or driven. It would literally turn heads when I drove by. It would fit up to 6 people comfortably and still handled perfectly. I enjoy every minute of every day driving this car. A friend recommended it to me and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a top of the line, classy, gorgeous vehicle.

I have a 2008 Lexus Rx350 with a cracked and melted dashboard and Lexus refuses to help in any way even though thousands of cars had this same issue. Lexus is substandard and their customer service is below par. I do not recommend anyone to buy a Lexus. You will be sorry because they do not stand behind their vehicles. I was never notified about this dashboard issue so by them saying I didnt react in time is a stupid reason not to help with a product they they know... has been an issue all along.

I love Lexus line of models, mainly the cars but would really like to see a sportier van or SUV option for us moms on the go, maybe have some options for electronic device storage for all the passengers. I would love to see a wine bottle storage compartment added in as an option when us adults want to go on a night camping trip too. Keep the luxury, keep the excellent quality but amp up the capacity and horsepower. The sleek lines on the exterior set it apart, but what I love most is how the inside fits so well. The features are very high end and the designers and developers obviously put a lot of work into how convenient everything would be to reach. The auto locking of the doors that can be customized by the driver is an amazing feature too, it keeps my children from trying to unlock or open the doors. I can set how long the interior lights stay on, change my exterior signal flash, the brightness of my dash lights, among many other amazing features. The passenger capacity is huge, luxurious and keeps the kids from annoying each other.

I recently emailed Lexus Brand Experience about the horrible service I have received with my new Lexus ES350 FSport. This was on 12/29 and I have yet to hear back. Just another testament to why I will never buy a Lexus again. It all started from the salesperson telling us that we had 2 free oil changes that come to find out is not true. Then after bringing my car home, noticing it has a very small chip on the gas cap & the salesperson telling us Oh well, you took it home, nothing we can do. Each time Ive taken my car in for service it has not gone smoothly. The 2nd time taking it in they rotated my tires & since then my car has not driven the same. Took it in for the 3rd time and when I bring this up, the service writer proceeds to tell me that they could balance them for $90 & had I brought it in immediately after that they would have fixed it. Im trading in my car and will never recommend Lexus to anyone!

I have a Lexus IS250 2008. Always park my car in my driveway, lived in the same place for 3 years and had my car for 3 years too. One night, came home, locked my car like every time. Next day woke up, getting ready to go to work, open my car and for my surprise my airbag was stolen - my whole entire system. They took the most expensive items from the car. They did not cut alarm wires or broke into the car. Made a police report, gave them evidence of what we found. We found what they call is a ghost key. This type of keys open any coded car without getting the alarm to go on. I contacted the dealer customer service and I ask how safe and secured is their car and they told me that it was the best car in security system. When I told them what had happened to my car they didnt know what to say and didnt want to help. My insurance told me that my car was a total loss. I was mad and disappointed with the Lexus company. I had a BMW before and it is a better secured car than the Lexus.

2003 ES Lexus - I bought the car used in 2005, it had 10,000 miles on it. I paid $30,000 for it. After I had it for a couple of months, I started seeing a blue smoke coming out of the exhaust. I called Lexus and was told there was nothing they could do about it. I called a friend at Spritzer where I bought it and was told they were having an oil sludge problem in some of Lexus older model cars, so he called someone he knew at North Hills Lexus and they admitted they were having some problems with sludge engines and they would repair it free. I was very happy. That was at 20,000 miles. At about 40,000 it started smoking a little again. I just let it go thinking it wasnt that bad. Big mistake. Now I have a car that when I start it up, the car looks like its on fire. This engine has 80,000 miles on it so I talked to Lexus USA. They told me to take it to a dealer and run a test on it. I took it to Rohrich Lexus in Pittsburgh - very nice people, very helpful. The service manager was excellent. He ran tests and found that there was oil sludge building up in the engine again. So, I called Lexus USA to see what they wanted me to do. I was told their man Jimmy would contact me. Well after several days went by and repeated calls, he called and said his regional manager would be by and determine what would happen.Well to get to the point, he said that since I didnt have it serviced at Lexus, theres nothing they can do about it. My son-in-law owns a garage so he did the oil changes for me. They didnt want to hear it. So now Im stuck with a Lexus that isnt worth ** with an engine that only has 80,000 miles on it. They wont help me at all. Thanks Jimmy, you were of no help at all. I called you 10 times, you called me back twice. Good luck with your cars.

Looks like this services is completely broken. Sadly enough this feature was one of major reasons why I decide to buy this specific car (as opposed to 3 other choices). I leased NX 200t 2 weeks ago. Since then I must have spent 3-4 hours on the phone with Lexus support. Still no resolution. I received no call backs nor a response of any kind. While on call I felt I was simply being placated by Lexus reps. Apparently I am not the only one who experience this issue. This is a systematic problem which impacts many new owners of Lexus who are trying to use their Enform services. I dont know about others but Lexus is going have to work very hard to convince to buy another car from them.

The calipers on the Lexus are really low end. They corrode and seize onto the rotor. Very much a safety issue and there should be a recall. I am having to eat the cost to change both seized rear calipers. They were so badly seized that I had to undo them from the brake line and try to work the slide pins out and even used a torch to heat them to no avail. I ordered 2 new aftermarket calipers and will put them on this week. Also, A/C drain gets clogged from inferior packing and leaks water all over the carpet which can produce harmful mold. Lexus wants $2,000 to unclog the drain and add new improved packing. Requires unbolting tranny and manifold. I am going to try and get my arm up on there where the firewall meets the bell housing and pull the grommet out. This car has had fuel rail recalls, valve recall, piston ring recall and several visits for squeaky brakes. All these problems are really unacceptable for what is supposed to be a well built car.

2008 Lexus RX 350 Water pump was leaking out the shaft of the pump. To change this water pump, they tell me they have to pull or lift the motor. It will cost over $2k. For 60 dollar pump, I going to have to pay them $2k. I had to have my car towed to my house one night only to find out I cannot afford to fix the car. The bearing went bad in the water pump. I think it should be something they fix for part price only because it not my fault you put a car together that you have to pull the engine to get the water pump installed.

I have a 2008 ES 350 with 111,000 miles. (Mostly highway.) I left my house and drove about 8 miles on the highway. Suddenly every warning light came on all at once. I quickly got to an exit ramp when the engine just stopped. It was towed to the dealer where they told me the water pump had failed and the engine burned up. Again, there were no warning lights until right before the engine seized. Repairs were estimated at 7500 dollars for a used engine that was not even a Lexus engine. Dealer offered me $3000 for the car or $3700 if I traded it in for another Lexus. Needless to say, I do not want another Lexus.

I visited JM Lexus where I leased my NX200. I had a accident about 4 weeks before lease end. I spoke to a manager about the procedure of returning the vehicle if it was damaged. he went into the computer, and stated to me that I had the excess wear and tear plan, and I was covered at $2000.00 per incident up to $7500.00. I explained to him that I was going to take it to my insurance company, and pay a $500.00 deductible, and have the vehicle repaired. He assured me that the plan would cover the damage, and just return the vehicle. I did what he told me to do, and my new vehicle arrived about two weeks later. The night before, I got a invoice from Lexus for $6500.00. I forwarded this information to the salesperson, and he said the damaged should have been covered. After speaking with his manager, it wasnt covered. Problem is now the vehicle was sold at auction, and I cannot put in a claim with my insurance company. I spoke to the Manager at the dealership, and he told me that when the car was turned in the salesman was supposed to inspect it, and he would have told me there was too much damage. That never happened. I told this guy from the get go there was a lot of damage, but he was sure it would be covered. Now Lexus is trying to put me on the hook for the damage, because somebody there dropped the ball. It is just aggravating to me that I was going to put the claim in to my insurance company, and this whole thing would have only cost me $500.00, and I listened to the Lexus representative instead. Looks as though to me the Wear and Tear plan is a scam.

This year I purchased my 3rd Lexus at McDermott in East Haven. I must admit that my purchasing experiences have all been fine but there was something unique and special about Charlie ** as the Client Advisor. Immediately, I found Charlie to be welcoming and eager to help me find the perfect car with the correct color that fits into my small 1929 garage. He was totally accommodating to my weekend requests for appointments and was a man who listened and remembered my requests. He could do a dissertation on Lexus history which I found fascinating plus there is no match for his wonderful sense of humor. In addition, it’s not over with the signing of the contract. Charlie has said that I can call him anytime I have a question about the car! This has been validated and is such a great pleasure to have this option. In addition to Charlie, there is an excellent Service Dept with Tanya and co-workers. And, there is Ryan M., A certified Lexus Technology Specialist to navigate buyers thru the technology maze and Crystal, Business Manager to help clients thru the paper maze!! Thank you Mr. McDermott for have such an exemplary team!!

Lexus cars are comfortable. I like the features and the easy accessibility of the car. The leather seats are easy to clean which makes my job a lot easier. The butt warmers are nice and help to keep us all warm during the winter months of the years. Our model specifically can only hold up to five people. However I believe that Lexus makes other models that can hold more people than that. This car suits my family well as there are five of us and we are all able to fit comfortably in the car. The car has a small built and our model is black and sleek. The paint has stayed nice and sharp throughout the course of many years and I believe that it will continue to do so over the next couple until we decide to go to either donate the car or purchase a new one. We are interested in a car with seats that are not leather as the smell bothers my family and the seats always seem to be super hot or cold.

Took my RX330 into Pohanka Lexus in Chantilly, VA for a state inspection on 9/14/13. My car was rejected due to the passenger side mirror. In order to not drive around with a rejection sticker, I inquired about how much the mirror itself would cost. John informed me that the mirror would be about $450 plus $65 for labor plus a replacement bulb was needed above the license plate giving me a grand total for a side mirror and inspection $600.44.A front mirror doesnt even cost that much. When I asked why was it so much, the reply was because its motorized. I had visited another Lexus dealership 3 months prior for tires and nothing about the side mirror was mentioned. I feel like I was taken advantage of and that Pohanka Lexus overcharged to replace only the mirror for my car to pass inspection.
