Must agree with many reviewers who said that they dont like Suzuki customer service support. Customer service support is really nasty, they dont listen to you, they dont care about the problems you have, and they have an excuse to every problem you might have. They do everything to protect their profits, really not good business for the company. I even filed official report with the company about Suzuki dealers and I never received the status of the complaint. Really nasty people, they only care to sell you their garbage and keep your money without giving anything back!
I have had my Kizashi for 10 months. The car has been in the shop 8 out of 10 months with various issues - transmission, oil leaking, suspension, and alignment issues. The Kizashi is a really good car; the issue is bad service and incompetent mechanics. I have spent a lot of money out of my own pocket even while the car is under warranty. I would take the car to the dealer, and each time, they would tell me there is nothing wrong with the car. When I drive away, the issue has been resolved temporarily. I have taken my car to Suzuki a little over a dozen times, and each time, I am told they are unable to find an issue. It’s clear what the issues are, and still, they will look at you face to face and say there is no issue. The car only gets worse and never fixed. They don’t mind you coming in, but they intend to never replace parts and wait for the warranty to run out before they admit to issues because then it’s on you to pay.The issues with my car were all pretty minor. The problem is I would have to take it back over and over and to different dealers before the car is fixed. They do not have a good one-visit resolution. I feel foolish that I left Nissan after all these years to go to a company as bad as this one. I have contacted Suzuki Japan - no response. I often call Suzuki Corp in Berea Cali, and they are no help at all. I have been dealing with a regional rep each time, and his job is to make sure nothing is paid for. His word is the final call. As of today, my suspension is very poor and noticeable leaning on the driver’s side. They will not fix it. Suzuki failed in America, and I am sure stories like this are the reason why. No need to say don’t buy Suzuki. They filed for Chapter 11 and no longer selling cars in America.
Bought a brand new 2016 King Quad 400 ASI 4x4, put 20 miles on it and the brakes make a horrible noise because of trash being able to get onto rotors. Makes the vehicle slow down and a possible fire hazard if the brakes get too hot. Cycle City Powersports of Newnan, GA said it is the way the brake rotors are designed and they will not do anything about it. This needs to be recalled and new brake systems need to be put on these vehicles before it causes further damage or harm to anyone.
Dealership was fairly misleading on this bike. Missing a few parts, dirty air filter. One front fork compression adjuster is frozen, can’t adjust it. Missing the front fork reflectors, these are needed to pass inspection. Engine has a ticking noise as well. Will need to take it to a local dealership to check out all of these issues. Very unimpressed with this dealer. In my opinion, all of these issues should have been addressed before selling the bike. Will not purchase from them again
I discovered two days ago that there were a puddle of water in the rear of my vehicle under the mat at the rear door of my SUV. But no water leaking anywhere else in my my truck. The answer that I got from customer service was the warranty has run out. But this a defect issue because water should not be leaking into your vehicle if it is not a sunroof. I really not a happy customer.
This is about the failure of pressure sensor on front right passenger seat. It’s intermittent. PASS air bag disconnects when adult is sitting in seat.
Ive been having a couple of problems on my car since the day that I bought it. I have pointed out the problem during the 1st & 2nd service but until now, the problem exists. All the while, the servicemen from the Platinum Service Center thought that they fixed it, and the last response was unsatisfactory for me. So I raised the complaint to Suzuki Kuala Lumpur Customer Complaint Department, attended by a girl named by Herni. But up until now, no proper response was given to me.The 2 problems on my car is listed below. 1) The keyless go button was malfunctioning intermittently since Day 1.2) A burning smell goes inside the car while driving at a speed of 120 km/h.PS: The main reason I chose this car is it was designed in Japan and I believe that the service quality should be tip-top but now, I regret choosing this car.
2008 Firenza still has 100,000 drive train warranty - I bought a car for my daughter, she took it to Hawaii. Once there, the transmission started having problems so she took it to the only Suzuki dealer on the island. They said they would not honor the warranty because Suzuki would not let them have any 2008 models? What kind of garbage is this? Dont they have to honor warranty? Who are these criminals? Something needs to be done about this. My daughter can barely afford to live there, let alone pay for a new transmission. Please help.
I bought my vehicle less than one year ago, which is still under warranty. I took the vehicle in for a noise on the right front passenger, grinding all the time. It is now my third time at the dealership, requesting it to be fixed. The company has had me replace everything possible underneath in which has not been covered under warranty. The vehicle is still not fixed and they cannot tell me the problem but also feel and hear the noise.I am upset that my time off is limited without having a vehicle to get around for my errands on the days I do have because my car is sitting in the shop. I am contacting the news and putting a front page ad in the paper regarding this company if this does not get fixed. If they do not have the staff that knows how to fix the problem, then they should send it off and replace me with a spare car until they get it fixed. They are probably not going to be happy with me once Im finish with them, but I spent too much money and expect results from them also.
Suzuki Swift is practical little car. Being an automatic its great in traffic and easy to park. It has a spacious interior but this comes at the expense of a small boot. However, you can fold the rear seat forward if you have no passengers there and load your shopping if need be!
While driving my car down a city street at 30-40 mph on a clear sunny day, airbags on both sides deployed. I pulled over, and theres not a scratch anywhere on outside of my vehicle. I contacted Suzuki and Travelers immediately on the same day. Insurance estimate came in at $6200. Suzuki dragged their feet in getting an engineer to look at (little under one month). In the meantime, I researched airbag incidents for Suzuki online and found numerous incidents, all of which Suzuki claimed sensors said accident or rollover imminent. I could have told them that the sensors have to have a calculation error built in or be slight off on computations since they tell the airbags to deploy incorrectly.Suzuki not only had horrible Customer Service hours but also horrible service in general. Resulting response is We will not pay your insurance company back or reimburse you on your $1000.00 deductible and $222.00 rental. As a result, they in less than one month, destroyed 2.5 years in which they had been winning me over as a frequent buyer. Instead, I will never purchase another Suzuki and will warn everyone I know to stay away from doing business with this company. Everyone who has had the same experience, I hope will do the same. Vote with your voice and your bank account.
I was looking at buying a car a Suzuki Swift from Motorpoint at Derby, found a nice Suzuki Swift in red 2013 model looked ok. Gave it a test drive. First off, it felt like the gear stick was going to come out of the gear box but it was enough for me to say no. Are all Suzuki cars like that? Shame. My wife liked it.
I really like this little truck, is strong excellent 4WD system, but I have been having a problem. I have a 3 door 2.4 liter 2010 Grand Vitara for about 1.5 years. I bought it with 15,000 miles now it has around 25,000 miles. Now everything works fine, but this happens once a day, while driving, trying to overtake another car. I started hearing a rattling sound somewhere in the engine room and then white smoke started coming out the tailpipe. So I changed the oil and everything change, the air filter check, the spark plugs and the plugs were good no water vapor, no oil leaks no coolant leaks, no check engine lights, it idles nicely. It was scanned too, it only does it on my first acceleration of the day maybe twice, but when I press that pedal, the rattling starts and the smokes comes and it like it loses a little power then picks back up and then the smoke and noise stops, is the only brand and type of car from the ones I owned before that happens. I also tried different gas stations. I dont see any other cars in my city doing that. I am writing here because in my country Peru the service Derco wont give me an answer. Thank you.
Bought the Suzuki Df6AL motor new in 5/16. Took it out and got about 10 hrs of the break-in - completed. Took it to the river to complete the break-in and it would not start. Took it to Power source marine. Took several weeks as the Suzuki rep would not return their calls. They said I needed a new engine. The rep finally got back and agreed to replace the cylinder head only. His take was that I backed the boat down the ramp too fast. This took 2 more weeks. Picked up the engine and tried it again and ran about 20 minutes although it seemed very weak, stopped to fish a few minutes. Decided to move to another spot and had trouble pulling the cord as it would just stop after coming out about a foot, no amount of effort could get it to turn and I was afraid the rope would break.I let the cord back in and tried again. It started to turn over then the motor backfired, pulled the rope out of my hand and the handle hit me in the side. As I was a few miles from the ramp I tried again with the same result. I started only pulling out the cord about a foot and it finally caught. Then took it back to my dealer. It has been there another month trying to get Suzuki to return their calls. A year and not one good day on the water.
I bought a used 2008 Suzuki XL7 with approximately 132000 miles on it. I drove it for approximately a year and put just over 3k miles on it. The oil life gauge said it had 25% life left when it started to idle rough. I took it to a local mechanic, assuming it was the timing chains, it turned out to be a rusted camshaft. I attempted to get the BBB to help, they didnt help AT ALL, but the used auto dealer offers to replace the motor for only $600 plus the cost of the used motor. Why would they do it for $600 when it requires 14 or more hours to replace the motor? Now I am stuck with a parking lot paperweight.
Over the last decade I have had many bikes. I started it all off with a 2003 SV650. Some time later, and a few bikes in between, I went with a naked SV1000. Again, it's a beautiful sport bike that was user friendly to beginner and expert alike. Finally after all these years, I have decided my bucket list of bikes must include a SV650 (again). My naked '06 has it all, plenty of performance, very nice curb appeal, and reliability needed in today's tough economical climate. I have added everything possible with a emphasis on comfort (risers, lowering pegs and blocks, Laminar Lip, Alaska Leather seat cover and carbon fiber Yoshi exhaust, chin spoiler and hugger. I love the way she feels and looks. She's a keeper.
I just bought my car. For 2 months, I found that a leaking of water on the driver place. For the 1st time, I take it for service. But after the service, I still found the same thing happen. Then, I still go for the second time, but the service didn’t make a thing well. I’m angry with the person in-charge, who did not take responsible with it. I hope Suzuki will take action on it.
On September 13, 2004 at 10 am my Grand Vitara had a mechanical error causing the steering to lock towards the right. My car then drove me off Hwy 80, going airborne, and rolling 4 times. It took the Jaws Of Life 45 min to get me out and I was presumed dead. I fell into a coma 15 days. My entire face and skull were completely shattered and glass cut into my arms, went into my face and entire head (pretty sure its all out now). I lost my ability to walk, talk, see, speak, hear and was thrown into a life of constant trauma, struggle and pain. Suzuki will apparently not cope to their mistakes. After years of wondering why, working my ** off to get any sort of real life back, it has come to my realization that I need to blow them out of the water. I cant get the last 14 years back, Ill always be damaged, but they need to be held responsible.
My 2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara was yesterday diagnosed with a cracked head in the engine. Like others experience on this forum, there was no warning. The vehicle is on 111,000 km and was regularly serviced. There was a smell and a bit of black smelly steam coming from under the bonnet. I had it checked out immediately by the breakdown service mechanic and it was misdiagnosed as a problem in the water system.Later that day, a mechanic phoned with the bad news. We live in the country and have no other means of transport and are most disappointed. It seems from reading about all the other cracked engines that it must be a manufacturing fault. People need to know and Suzuki should provide compensation rather than deny. This leaves consumers out of pocket as insurance companies will not cover these faults. We were going to upgrade to a newer Suzuki Grand Vitara but with this news and now knowing it is not an uncommon complaint, I will be leaving Suzuki off the shopping list.
Yes sirs, my dad passed and I had the opportunity to buy the 2005 Suzuki Forenza from the finance co... The vehicle had 8,500 miles at that time. After owning it for 2 to 3 years, the emissions system has failed, not allowing me to register it. I am attempting to iron out the problems with difficulty and of course, the 5 year or 50,000 mile warranty has expired. I have no idea how much money it would take to fix it to be on the road legally. I have had insurance since I was 16... Please, what the heck can I do?
I have been trying to pass my State Inspection, but my check engine light has been coming back on regardless of what is becoming costly repairs. I had my mechanic call the dealership (Frank Suzuki) Fort Worth Texas, when I online that this is a problem for many owners. They were less than helpful and seem to have no interest in helping to isolate then eliminate the problem. As far as cars go, I was very happy with it, but if I cannot pass my State Inspection, I have a multi-thousand dollar piece of Junk that I worked hard to get for mine and family and friends needs. I just dont know what to do but I need help!!!
This is the worst car experience I have ever had. Unfortunately, it was my first car purchase at 19. The dealership was so sleazy it would have sold me the car without a co-signer. The Suzuki dealership in Tucson, AZ gave me a raw deal on my trade in. I traded in a perfectly used Honda for a new 2008 Suzuki. They didnt bother elaborating about the loan process, telling me I would have to pay for the Honda plus the Suzuki. The Suzuki was only $10,000 but with new car, it was $20,000. Needless to say, the dealership left after about a year. This Suzuki is not worth $20,000. Not to mention, I am a student who works part-time. The best they could do for me was refinance after I begged for two years. Before the refinance, I was $379/mo. Now Im paying $288/mo. It helps but then hard times hit. My wages were cut and I had to cut my hours for school so I fell behind four months. Even after paying $11,000 off, they want to repossess my car for $800. Are you kidding me?Then the customer service guy was smug and do not at all understand telling me, Well, it sounds like you cant afford your car, maam, as if thats all there is to it even after Ive invested $2,000 for repairs for the car. Like some customers, Ive had transmission issues which weren’t covered under the power train warranty because the defective was wear-n-tear. It cost me $500 and two months later, I had the same issue. This car is a nightmare and Suzuki is no help whatsoever. I would never recommend this company to anyone who needs a car. Its more trouble than its worth. They take your money without remorse and say, Oh well. Whats even more disheartening is that even if they repossess the car, they will still make me pay for it. I need help and I need to keep my car. Someone please help me. Im blasting this all over Facebook and Twitter so people will think twice before falling victim to Suzuki.
Bought a XL7 Suzuki and at 23,000 miles, I had to have the rack and pinion steering replaced due to excessive high-pitched whirring in the steering wheel. It was under warranty but a year and a few months later the whirring has returned. Suzuki wont cover the obvious defect because they say the warranty has lapsed, so they want $1100 to repair. Then at 42,000 miles, I had to have a new transmission replaced. It was under warranty. Their product is cheap, dangerous and pure crap.
Mine's a C50C I turned into a C50CT. I bought this bike in '07 new. I had carburated bikes before but this is my first bike with the combination I wanted - fuel injection, water cooled, shaft drive and Mag rims/tubeless tires. The only problem I have ever had is a small brake issue after swapping to a new set of rubber and turn signal lenses coming apart. Both are small issues barely mentionable. This bike has never failed to start, never stalled on downshift, nothing. I also purchased it with intentions of moving up in a couple of years and since decided it's all I will need. The aftermarket Mustang seat will make my butt numb after a while but I am used to it now. I will get a tingle in my feet and hands after a while at 80 mph. but I'm used to that, also. There's plenty of power for me 2-up and fuel economy in the mid 40's. I love this bike's fuel injection and would not have a bike without it now. I trust it enough to make a cross country trip on it soon and not think twice. It is a great bike for the price - I'm satisfied.
I will try to sum this up. I purchased my car from a South Carolina dealer in 2007. By 2008, this dealership experienced a lawsuit and went out of business. I reside in Charlotte NC, and the theres only 1 Suzuki dealer in Charlotte.First, I had a knocking sound that seemed to be coming from the rear of the car within a year of purchase, and my lumbar support handle broke. They fixed that and changed out some struts.The knocking sound was still around after the strut repair in 2008 or 2009, so I took it in again and of course they couldnt find anything. In 2010, I had new set of tires put on my car and the tire guy referred me to Firestone to get a wheel alignment. Firestone advised I needed new struts. Of course, I took it back to the Planet Suzuki dealer because I remembered theyd replaced struts already. They kept my car most of the day and claimed they replaced my struts. By this time my warranty had just expired, but Perry advised hed doctor up some miles to get it covered under warranty. I didnt see why he would have had to do so if theyd fix the struts to begin with, but that was the verbal agreement and by that time, my car actually didnt have lots of miles on it because Ive always worked near my home. Well of course the knocking sound hasnt gone away, and he tried to tell me it was because of the gas I was putting in the car. He also tried to tell me the struts were like that because of the new tires, because I got the alternate size because the dealer is the only place to find this odd ** 15 tire size that are extremely overpriced. The tire guy and Firestone reps told me that the tire size I have is fine. So I told the Suzuki dealer to stop trying to put this on the tires and fix my car, as Ive brought it in numerous times for different things. Oh and I forgot to mention that one time, when I brought it in for the knocking, they actually tried to tell me it the was the license plate taped it down. How stupid is that, or should I say, how stupid they think I was. I truly feel that they were mishandling me because Im a woman. I emailed Perry after the supposed final repairs of the struts that they still felt like its the same, and he gave me a very nasty response. I also emailed Suzuki direct with no assistance, as they stated they wouldnt handle this matter, and I dont think thats fair.Not to mention the paint chipping from door handles, which Ive found numerous other review complaints on many different sites.I still have my car and I just want it fixed correctly. I feel like they were avoiding fixing my car correctly for some reason and I dont understand why. I feel I was being dealt with in a certain way because Im a woman. I also feel the representative from their company showed poor customer service with his email response, as he told me to go elsewhere if I didnt care for their service because I threatened to complain. Dealerships shouldnt be able to get away with that type of service or treatment. I just want my car repaired correctly!I hope this receives the attention it deserves so something can be done about this dealership.
I paid cash for a Suzuki Equator for my wife. It has less than 10,000 miles on it. After delivery, we noticed that Jeff Fields Suzuki had replaced the logo on the tailgate and left a drilled hole exposed. This has lead to water accumulating in the tailgate. Shortly after this, an area of approximately 8x4 in the bed of the truck had paint beginning to peel. We contacted the dealer and they stated they could do nothing without their regional representative seeing it. We have never been able to get to see the regional representative in order to get the solution. The dealership service department did send pictures. We have now relocated to Springfield, MO and contacted the local dealership. They told us we would be contacted by the regional representative from this area some months ago. We are still waiting. This is a great vehicle but customer follow-up is extremely poor. The warranty is running and I do not want to resort to judicial review of the matter. But Suzukis non-responsiveness may force me to do so.
My parents surprised me with my dream car back in 2012--a white Suzuki Swift. I had been driving it every day to work and to bring my daughter to and from school since then. Some of the issues I have encountered in a span of 4 years are a dead battery, and flat tires. If Im not mistaken, all four of my tires have already gotten flat and I just had them vulcanized. I noticed that they also quite easily lose air, but Im not certain if that has something to do with them having been flattened in the past. Another thing is that when I drive through a rough road, the car makes this sort of rattling sound, which leaves me to guess that it has something to do with the shock absorbers. Its just an ugly and unpleasant sound which I wish I dont have to deal with especially when I have other passengers with me. But overall, Im still happy with my Swifts performance, and I will do what I can to maintain it and make it last long.
I purchased Access 125, from Suzuki authorized dealer Sree Sai two wheelers pvt. Ltd (Location - Teen Hath Naka, Thane(W)) on 23/06/2011. I have given bike for first servicing on 27/08/2011 at its service center located at Louiswadi Thane(W). I have also asked them to check and repair the battery (Make -Exide) as same was causing problems during start. I received my bike after serving on 29/08/2011. Immediately I notified at service center that the battery problem has still not been corrected. So I had submitted battery at service center, however no receipt was handed over to me even after my insistence. They informed me that it was not necessary and asked to me call me on 10th Sept, 2011 for the status of battery. I checked for status twice after 10th Sept, 2011, but only got reply that they will call me as soon as they get the battery. I have still not received the repaired battery till date. This is really frustrating. After that, I had again given my bike for servicing on 12/11/2011, and again complained for non receipt of battery. Now they say that they need to check with Exide about the battery and asked me to call on 14/11/2011. Once again I called them on 14/11/2011 & 15/11/2011, but no response yet. I am getting no support from the service center and no status of the repaired battery. Please help.
Im putting in this complaint, so that anyone who reads it will avoid buying a Suzuki now or in the future. I bought an SX 4 with about 100,000km on it. Ive not enjoyed the car for a single day. From shock absorber issues to auto-emission control system problem, the car never seems to run smoothly. Finally, I took it to the Suzuki dealership in Nigeria. After charging a fee of about $2,000 and keeping the car for more than a week, theyve still not been able to resolve the problems Im experiencing. Apart from the fact that they have horrible customer service, they seem not to have any of the necessary parts to fix the vehicle. Ive decided to sell the vehicle in the next few weeks. For your own sake, avoid Suzukis! Go for known brands like Toyota or Honda. At least, the parts of these brands are readily available and they are friendlier at their service centers.
Dealing with this company is like getting your eye gouged out!!! Absolutely the worst company ever!!! I have been waiting over 2 months for fix or reply. Not one word from Suzuki!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY or you will be stuck like the rest of us!!!
2011 Kizashi. At 15000 km service technician replaced the cabin filter. The cost is $125.00 for a 8x8 paper filter. Suzuki Canada confirmed that is the MSRP for that part. This is a rip-off.
On December 26, 2011, I had noticed a loose plastic strip of molding on the passenger side of my 2009 Suzuki SX4. It could have been there awhile as I rarely notice that side. On 12/27/11, I called Crown Suzuki (727-527-7151) in St. Petersburg. Per Cliff, I was one day past my three-year bumper-to-bumper coverage and I should call Suzuki-Brea, CA (800-934-0934). I called Brea and got a recorded message that C/S is closed until January 3, 2012. I searched the web pages for email contacts and all I found was an email address that said Webmaster only. All others said, contact your local dealer which I had already done. I felt like I was getting the runaround!I had bought my SX4 in late 2008 at Firkins Suzuki, Bradenton, FL, four miles from my home. A year or so later, I learned that Firkins no longer did Suzuki, that I needed to deal with Boast Suzuki. A year or so after that I learned that Boast had ended its deal with Suzuki and my choice of dealers were both at least 25 miles from my home - a hardship for a 75 year-old with medical limitations.
The airbag/seat belt tensioner light came on my 2006 Grand Vitara. After checking the manual it said to take the car the nearest dealer immediately. The dealer said I must make appointment. Week later they said the cost would be $1300.00 to replace a bad part. I asked if they replace many of these, they said yes. I think this should be replaced free because of bad part. They told me the warranty had expired. So now I am driving an unsafe vehicle. No help from above Suzuki of Brea, California. Also, the dealer charged me $25.00 to find the problem.
Suzuki wont do anything about it. Seems to me this is a manufacturing problem.
My car is a Forenza Station Wagon 2006. In 2008, the dealer replaced my transmission. Now 4 years later, I need another one. I contacted the corporate office and they said they couldnt do anything for me. So, I am posting this on Facebook. There is no way a car should need 2 transmissions in 6 years. I will also contact six news with this.
So we have a 2009 Suzuki SX4. It has 140 miles. When we bought our car we were so excited to use it since it did great with snow and hills, and our environment all snow and hills. When newly bought it had about 60k miles on it but for a great price, $3500 to be exact. Everything looked great under the hood and it sounded great. But after two months our engine blew on the highway. A tick, tick, tick and then boom, then smoke under the hood. Took it to mechanic and they said the engine had a hole. Mechanic told us the car looks great other than engine, so we decided to buy the engine to replace it. Spent $1300 on new engine and $800 for them to install it. After that we thought never again any more engine problems.After about a year and a few months, my husband turned on his car as usual and to his surprise his car was making a knocking sound. Gratefully it was a Friday, so he went to work and back with that knocking sound, taking it to mechanic next day early morning. He drove it 5 minutes away to mechanic and thankfully again car made it there and back home. But guess what the problem was? Engine trouble once again! Mechanic said since this was our second engine trouble he really thinks the engine has a defect. I was just now researching and many people have the same car engine issue and all say dont buy cars below the 2010 year for this brand and model because the bad engines many people have been having. Something about the engine has bad bearings so its a defect in the engine that Suzuki doesnt care to recall since they dont make any more cars and they dont care about their consumers. Not sure who to go to for my woes with this car and wish it didnt have bad engine defects so we could continue using it. We also recently put in a new differential and it was running great, till just a week ago the clanking in my engine started occurring. After putting in lots of money in the car I feel like Suzuki owes me money for my engine troubles. If I would have known this model had a bad engine defect I would have never bought it. Letting people know cause its not fair that people dont know.
First off, I would like to say I am pleased with the car (2011 Kizashi) overall, but I did not have this car a week when I noticed that the rims on the vehicle started showing black spots on them. After further inspection of the rims, I noticed it was the finish coming off. I reported this to the dealer where I bought the car, only for them to tell me that I had to take the car to another dealership because they did not do repairs or service at their dealership. I set up an appointment with this other dealership and let them take pictures of the rims. They told me that they could not make a decision on what to do and that the manufacturing company, Suzuki, had to make the final call on it and they would get back to me in 2 to 3 days.After waiting for over a week, I called them back myself, only to find out that no one was going to fix or replace my faulty rims, but if I wanted to pay half, then they would pay half. No way! I should not have to pay a dime for a factory default. I have pictures of the car the day I bought it and pictures of the car after less than a week when I noticed the discoloration and chipping. Now here it is 3 months later, and one rim is almost totally black while the others have black patches all over them. Im afraid to even wash the car thinking that it will make it even worse. Why should I have to pay half the cost of new rims on a brand new vehicle when it is obviously the manufacturers neglect? You can see bubbles and wet spots in the finish of the rims and that is exactly where the finish is coming off.I am not very pleased at all, and both the dealer where I bought the car from and the so-called service department from the other dealer outfit just keep sending me back and forth, both of them telling me they arent responsible and cant do anything. I will be filing papers with the Attorney Generals office on Monday morning.
I absolutely love my Suzuki Kizashi but Ive had issues with the paint peeling off my car which is very annoying. I take care of my car and to see it chipping off makes me mad. I took my car in for a second time as the front bumper is now peeling and to hear the service man say well its chipping because of rocks dinging the bumper. Uh whatever.
2010 Kizashi - The car is never to lock when the engine is running without the key in the car, but in January 2014, my car was running and I got out to brush the snow off and the doors locked behind me. The fob wouldnt open the doors and the emergency key would not work. I return to the dealership and they cleaned the cables and the locks and radio worked fine. But the problem has returned and the dealer has to remove the door and dash to find the real problem to keep it from happening again.
I bought a Suzuki sx4 in 2008. I regularly doing the service of the car each 5,000 km and over the past years, I only found the filter of the A/C one time. Imagine, three years getting a filter. Same case happened for the brakes. I was unable to find the Suzuki parts. Instead, they are using the Nissan spare parts as they are the same but there a continuous noise coming out of the brakes all these years. Result is that I rarely had the time to enjoy a smooth quiet vehicle.Finally in February the 28th, I had an accident and I need a spare part. As usual, this is not available and for over three weeks now. Nobody is following up and nobody cares about a customer.
I have had my 2000 Suzuki Vitara for 10 years and now it keeps cutting off while Im diving. I have taken to the mechanic several times and still same thing - he does not know. When it runs, it runs well - no other real issues. Does anyone have any solutions besides buying another car?
Well, I have read about this Recall on the input shaft gear on the CVT of my Motorcycle, (Sounds like a Diesel engine @ idle & running.) BUT, no one, Dealers Service Departments, seem to know anything about it. I am a consumer of this product and I feel that if this assembly came apart at 75 mph it could Lock Up and be unsafe... could cause an accident. But, I cant even get a hold on anyone in Consumer Affairs, at Suzuki Motors of America, who cares about a consumer, and their Safety Issue. If this is a Recall, it should be taken care of by a Suzuki, through one of its dealers. I have found an Updated Kit avail from Poland, that looks like it was an improvement to the gear with an extended shaft to support the Gear hub.
I have a Suzuki Swift Sports 2016. It’s done around 130,000kms and been very well looked after considering I bought it brand new! It has been serviced at Suzuki for years it was last serviced here in November 2021. 4 months later the transmission blows up whilst I was driving, no warning signs before hand nothing. Just blew up and would no longer drive forward! I called and spoke to GWS and explained the issue and stated that it was only serviced 4 months ago, asked why or how this wasn’t picked up or noted on the service book that the transmission fluid had been changed ect. They were not helpful at all! Now I’m left with a car with a blown transmission and I have been loyal to Suzuki for many years and they were not helpful at all!!! Now I’m up for 6k to replace the transmission! And someone at Suzuki quoted me 14k!!! I literally laughed at them 14k!!! It’s just a joke! a loyal paying customer and what do you get in return? absolutely nothing and no explanation!!! It’s actually disgusting. Will not buy a Suzuki again!!! Or for that matter take my car to people who rip you off and don’t do the job correctly.
Grand Vitra - I bought 60,000 mile tires and have had two of them replaced under 20,000. Now, they are all balled. My passenger airbag light is on and supposedly, they fixed it which I paid $120. It still is on. My headlights come on and go off at random. I have left messages several times with no return call. Im getting very angry, please help me. Oh, and I bought this car there also.
I went to go trade in my 2010 Suzuki Kizashi GTS 6-speed because I am unhappy about the car as a whole. The car has dropped 13,000 dollars in less than 2 years. If this car has this many awards and supposed to be so great, why is this happening to buyers? I also went to go replace my inner door card for the rear door and its a ridiculous 400 dollars for a door card. If the car is not worth it, the parts department needs to adjust their prices! Im stuck with this car now because I cant afford to pay the difference of what I owe, even though I have made all my payments on time!
Power Steering failure: I am writing this in hopes that no one else gets taken advantage of by Milford Chrysler/Suzuki in PA. I purchased a vehicle from these people about 8 months ago. It was a 2007 SX7 Suzuki. After having it for a couple of weeks, I noticed some minor issues with it. The tail light was cracked, the strut for the lift gate in the back was missing, and I also noticed that it made a noise when turning. I brought these to the attention of the dealer and we scheduled an appointment where he fixed all the minor issues for no charge. That is what you would expect since you just bought the car (all except the noise while turning). This noise they said was made by the power steering unit. Then, they wrote down on their invoice something that is a little strange. They said that the power steering pump was, and I quote, Operating as designed at this time. These statements seemed a little off to me since no car manufacturer designs an item to make noise as far as I know, but since Milford Suzuki of PA are the subject matter experts on cars. I believed them.6 months later, the same part that was operating as designed at this time was no longer operating as designed - unless, of course, as designed meant almost causing an accident due to power steering failure. I took the Suzuki SX7 back to Milford Suzuki of PA and told them that the power steering had failed. They took the car into the shop and found an internal fault in the power steering pump. I would have expected that since they found an internal fault, they could repair it and that would be it. No such luck.Milford Suzuki of PA recommended I change the power steering pump, the rack and flush the system. All told, total cost would be $1547. When I asked them about the fact that I had brought the car back to them right after purchasing it at Milford Suzuki of PA for a noise in the very unit that was now broken, I was told that was a different noise. To which I laughed and said of course it was. I asked them if they were going to repair it since even now it was only 6 months from when I bought it and there really is documentation that states the pump was making a noise from Milford Suzuki of PA. They said no way. I then called Suzuki’s customer relations in CA and explained what had happened. They in turn called the dealership. Suzuki customer relations told me Suzuki will not extend the warranty and that this part was not under warranty even when I bought it. They recommended I talk to Milford Suzuki of PA about what to do about this. I then find about by looking up Suzuki SX7 steering problems online that there are at least 40 other people with the same issue (power steering failure). It appears that there is a problem with the power steering in Suzukis that the corporation should know about since it can cause life threatening complications while driving. Neither Suzuki nor the Milford dealership has done anything to help me besides saying to give them $1500 to repair the car I bought from them 6 months ago for $16000. One would think that this issue would have been addressed by Suzuki, but nope. I warn everyone thinking about buying a Suzuki to read this and at least do research on the vehicle you’re buying. I highly recommend you do not go to Milford Chrysler/Suzuki and buy anything.
I purchased a Suzuki Alto from Suzuki Defence Motors on the month of August 2008. Unfortunately, it has fallen short of my expectations. All the four doors were corroding rapidly in less than two years. And the Suzuki Defence Motors did not repair it free of cost as they were supposed to.Anyway, I got the four doors repaired by them by paying Rs. 11000 and they assured me that time they will use epoxy paint on the inner base. Invoice no. 10/03843, invoice date 31/08/2010.The doors are again corroding rapidly. I visited the Suzuki Defence Motors Karachi four times for my grievance but no positive response. First time they took the photograph and said they will contact me. It was almost two weeks since my first visit and still no answer from them.The supervisor and work manager think I am a joker that every time I visited, they told the same--that they will contact me after consulting the high-ups.Furthermore, please note that the repair work was not done honestly and with responsibility as I noticed when I had to open the door for power window repair, some welding particles accumulated from repairs and are still inside and the paint work was done without having it cleaned perfectly. When I bought this car to the same Suzuki Defence Motors, I also paid extra to have the underside of the car bottom plate painted as it was advised by them. Now tell me, who cares more for perfection?The bottom line is, Suzuki Motors have poor quality work and service.
After 4 yrs of owning my Grand Vitara from new, I am on my third set of tires. Had to replace headlight bulbs, which I have learnt are quite common early wear and tear issues. But the most devastating is without any warning, lights or indications besides a slight burning smell. My poor little engine with only 70000 kms on it is finished!! With a major crack in the engine block, I am without a car. The mechanic advises a whole new motor and of course the warranty has conveniently expired. I did opt for an extended warranty which states expiration in 2015. However, I have never been able to use Suzuki for servicing as there was no service to get me home again or to work for the day, whilst they had my vehicle. So it has had all log book services with a local mechanic, thus technically voiding this extended warranty. I am hoping to gather evidence of other circumstances where this has happened so I have information when I walk into Suzuki to speak with a manager. I’m absolutely heartbroken, and the service from Suzuki so far has been disgusting. I cannot get the car to a service center, so they wipe their hands of me?? If anyone else has had this engine block crack issue, please let me know.
I am the owner of a 2007 Suzuki Forenza with known issues with the transmission range switch. I am under 100,000 miles power train warranty, which the dealer claims is not covered. I have had this problem diagnosed numerous times, and part replaced twice, starting a year and a half after purchasing the car brand new off the lot, with 34 miles. So far, the dealer wont fix it. In fact, my dealer no longer exists, and I have to attempt to bring it to another dealer. I have done research, and found that many people have experienced this same issue. I have less than $4,000 left to pay on this car yet, I am spending hundreds monthly in repairs. Currently, there is no resolution.
I purchased a new Suzuki SX4, 6 Speed Manual Transmission vehicle approximately 1 year ago, from Bobb Suzuki, in Columbus, Ohio. My vehicle has been in for service 4 separate times, all within 16,400 miles for the same issue. It will not go into reverse. The dealership has attempted to fix the matter every time, and also put in a new transmission at approximately 6000 miles, but to no avail. I do not feel safe in this vehicle, and it has caused me to take days off work to take the vehicle in for repairs.I feel that due to the fact that my vehicle fits all of the guidelines for the Ohio Revised Code that pertains to the Lemon Law, I would like to pursue this matter further. I feel unsafe in this vehicle, and do not want to drive it long distances because of it. I would like to get final restitution with my vehicle, whether they purchase it back or I purchase another vehicle. Thank you.
The 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a small SUV with enough power to get out of the way of traffic so the 6 cylinder is great. I have had no issues with this vehicle and I have owned it for over 3 years. It is comfortable on long trips, good on gas in town and on the open road. I like that it is 4x4, it is a SUV so I have plenty of space. It also has more room inside than it looks like and it handles really good.
I bought a new car sx4, newly launched model in Feb 2013, sx4 DDSI DUAL TURBO ENGINE. I bought it on 16 April and the very next day there was an abnormal sound from the shockers of car!! No showroom or mechanic in HIMACHAL PRADESH was able to find the fault. Finally the car was taken to Delhi by me and got the repairs done! After another 25 days its turbo malfunctioned while on a journey from Dharamshala to Chandigarh!! No road side assistance provided! Even the mechanic was asking more money to just come and check car on scene! The car was towed and left at Maruti service center in Chandigarh! All towing expense were paid by me! As said by the service center the car was rectified and new turbo charger was installed in warranty! The car ran good for another month and finally the engine got seized while driving! Same story repeats, no assistance and towing charges borne by me. But this time in Noida Maruti service center assured that the car will be returned in a week but they took 25 days to find the fault and repair!I was doing some job related courses at that time in Noida and my course were finished but the car was still under repairs! I went back home and filed a case in consumer court in August end! It is almost a year now but no positive results!! My lawyer is saying that the case is in last stage and will finish next month! Consumer court has ordered to appoint a surveyor/automobile engineer who will inspect the car and report about its present condition! But at the moment I am not able to find any reputed surveyor who has a good background history that he cannot be bribed! I have put a lot of my money in this car and the case. But every month I get the same news that Maruti is not replying for any queries!! Any suggestions will matter!! Plz.
Suzuki Auto customer service is non existent. Fuel pump went on a Saturday 145 miles from an authorized Suzuki repair shop. During the first three phone calls they would not even verify my Vin number. Kept saying it was an incorrect number. On the fourth phone call they say take the old fuel pump to the Suzuki dealer and a copy of the invoice and other documents then MAYBE we will consider reimbursement. Never purchase a Suzuki vehicle, they suck! I will never purchase anything Suzuki.
I have a Suzuki Reno since 2006. I took it to the dealership because the motor makes a wear noise, but since the noise comes and goes (it doesnt happen all the time) they wont inspect the car. So I guess until an accident does happen, they wont do customer service. Do not buy Suzuki. The lack of customer service is horrible. Long live to Toyota!

The car is pretty good and its strong and I got a new car for Suzuki but now I changed my opinion of Suzuki in Saudi Arabia because my own car is out of service and some parts I cant find it in Saudi Arabia, like the buckler of the switch and I went to buy it but the company told me your order will be reached after 1 month. I hope to improve your company in Saudi Arabia and accept customer.
Took delivery of auto, brand new off showroom floor in July 2012. Never advised company in bankruptcy and that servicing and/or repairing would be non-existent. Once I learned of pending doom, I took auto back to dealer in hopes of trading for another brand but was only offered 50% of purchase price of Suzuki. This was their top of the line vehicle. I cannot find their new service centers nor able to repair vehicle in a reasonable amount of time. An example of this crap was when I was rear ended. A highly recommended repair center took (31) thirty-one days to fix the car. Reasons given were that parts could not be found. Finally, any and all collection activity comes via phone from the Philippines, as they are no longer in the United States. Please help if you can. I have no intentions to pay for a car I cannot service nor repair that is presently under a warranty. What the heck happens when thats gone as well.
On April 23, 2007, we purchased a 2007 Suzuki SX 4 from Johnnys Suzuki in Summerville, SC. Until early July 2010, we had no complaints. Then, there was knocking side in engine, which turned out to be the lifter and rocker arms went out on the engine. The engine was replaced under warranty. Late July 2010, the cooling system went out and we had to pay $680.00 to have it repaired in order to have air conditioning in Charleston, SC heat. August 2010, the airbag sensor went out in the passenger seat. The dealership wanted ton of money to fix that. I said a few choice words and left. I called NTSB, then Suzuki Corp. in Brea, CA and demanded it be fixed as it was a safety issue and they did, at no charge. The steering system was replaced as goodwill gesture from the dealership. On October 23, 2011, the airbag sensor light came on for the drivers side airbag. I contacted the dealership and for $75.00, they can look at it. I said no. I contacted NTSB for this issue and Suzuki Corp. in Brea, CA. The CSR told me that there was nothing they could do for me since I had no intention of owning another Suzuki. Also, they told me that I should not drive the vehicle as the airbag may not work. Im currently exploring all options and telling everyone I know not to ever buy a Suzuki a.k.a POS.
I bought my 2006 Suzuki Forenza brand new in Oct. of 2006. Within the first few weeks of owning it, several lights would flicker and dim. Also the sensor for the passenger air bag was never accurate. Within a few months, the car stopped shifting. Had it towed to the dealer to find out they closed and now the closest dealer was over and hour away at like 70 miles. It the car to the dealer to find out they had to replace something with the transmission and the alternator. Still after this, the sensor on the airbag in the passenger seats does not work after being looked at and fixed. In 2010, it was in the shop again for the same transmission problem except this time it wasnt covered by warranty and was claimed to be some censor out side of the power train, so $450 later, I had the lemon back. Since then, I now have a car that started misfiring and blowing white smoke out the tail pipe out of no where (blow head gasket) really Im not even to 70K miles yet and all this has gone wrong. Plus the car has was made so cheaply that the inside door handles constantly snap off and the middle console latch broke and the drive window regulator broke and that was when it was still fairly new. Oh did I mention when I bought this car in late 2006 it was driven much the first year. So its not like this car has been driven to death. I will never by a product from Suzuki again!
At 70,000 km of normal driving and maintenance, the timing chain decided to go on my XL.7. This is not a part that is inexpensive or easy to get to, so the estimate is several thousand dollars of parts and labor. This has still not been fixed... There is a back order situation with the timing chain, in the neighborhood of three weeks. A car rental may have to be added to the overall cost.It seems odd to me that a part that should not have any issues not only needs replacement, but there are clearly many many people waiting for the same part. This is my fifth Suzuki, and I have maintained it like all the others. This all points to a substandard part. I cannot get a satisfactory answer from Suzuki - just getting a form of runaround that does not help at all.
I bought a Suzuki car, second hand, it was just a nightmare. Went to the dealers today, asked for a wheel stud. They said, that is a car made in Japan. I was thrown off balance for a minute, pointed to the cars in the showroom, & said, where do you think they were made? She said they come from Manila, PH. Just burnt out, this was at a Suzuki dealer. And they dont know where to buy a wheel stud. Yeah right, burnt out.
The 2007 Forenza Wagon was bought new in 2008. The dealership constantly mentioned the 100,000-mile drive train warranty, but they never mentioned to me the 36,000-mile warranty. I did not see this on the display info on the window. I also never received any info from the manufacturer or dealer about any recalls and there have been several. This car was always garage-kept and there is rust starting on the roof! The paint is of low quality looks like crap. I am angry about that as well. While going home from the store the other evening, the engine light came on with no warning and the gear display light had a square with an angle line through it and was flashing. I immediately pulled over onto a side street that was a slight hill. It also had lost all power, shifting into gears and producing loud banging.Upon having it towed and analysis done, it’s about the code for the transmission sensor and two other very expensive sensors. Naturally, those are not covered by warranty. Had I known this, I’d never had bought this car. What kind of warranty doesn’t cover select parts of a transmission? This warranty is useless. There is also oil leaking from the valve cover already. Now, the part they fixed worked for 200 feet and then it lost reverse and it was driven back on the rack. I’m sick to my stomach. The car isn’t even paid for yet and I paid too much for it to begin with. This car is a piece of crap and GM put their name all over it along with Daewoo. I won’t be buying anymore foreign cars and these warranties that these auto companies are offering are pathetic. They need to lower the price by half if they are going to build junk. I’d like to drive this car through Suzuki’s showroom window.
We bought our 16 yr. old daughter her 1st vehicle a 2006 Suzuki Reno July 2016 from Luxury motors in Oregon. Within 3 months the drivers seatbelt wasnt working, will not latch and the airbags light is always on. I thought there might be a recall on one or the other and looked on internet and there were 4 of them and these 2 were included. I made a service call for inspection but they would not honor the recall! 3 days ago both low beam headlights went out at the same time and dashboard light out too, it was dark so put on high beams. This also happened to be one of their recalls and its a traffic hazard waiting to happen, called them yesterday and they wont honor this one either and in the meantime my light while driving go on and off periodically. What can we do? Please help. This should not have to come from our pocket!
We had purchased an extended warranty Platinum Protection Plan. When we needed a repair done, my wife had to call the warranty company to get the authorization number. The warranty company could not believe that she had to do this as the service department was under the terms of the contract and were obliged to do this. The service representative told my wife he did not want to get involved with the insurance company and we were lucky to get 100,000 km out of our Vitara, then told my son thats why he drives a Toyota. He also refused to make the arrangement to have a hire car sent to the dealership for my wife because thats up to you, I dont want anything to do with that either. We like the vehicle but due to the customer service shown by this dealer, we will not buy another Suzuki.
I purchased my Suzuki SX4 in April 2008 from a dealer here in Plattsburgh, NY. The car seemed to be well made for the price. And the car had a decent safety rating, had good gas mileage, and was AWD. It seemed like everything we needed in a car. The dealer sold a good story. I wish I would have done some research on Suzuki before I made this purchase. After completing the paperwork, I drove the car home with a smile. This was the first brand new car I have ever owned and was looking forward to driving it. I parked the car that night with 30 miles on it. The next morning, I woke up to find my mirrors had shorted and caused them to split. I called the dealer first thing in the morning. They told me to drop it off and they would fix it, no problem. I did and they had the car back to me that day. Then next morning, the heated mirrors did not work. But I figured that it was not a big deal since I had dealt with worse in my previous cars, so I did not mention it. The car drove well for all of 2008 and 2009. But then in 2010, when I went to get the car inspected, I was informed that the wheel barring in the driver side rear needed to be replaced. And because the wheel barring had gone bad, it caused one tire to wear more than the other. So, my tires would need to be replaced. I ended up paying for 2 rear tires and they fixed the wheel baring. The bearing had to be ordered so I was out a car for 2 days. I asked for a rental car and was told no. I was pretty unhappy, but I let it slide because they were fixing the bearing. Then, not 2 weeks later, we started to hear a really weird noise coming from the front end of the car. So, I brought it back in and it turned out that the CV joint had fallen apart. So, that needed to be replaced. Again, I was without my car for 2 days and they would not pay for a rental. Then about 6 months later, I started hearing a really weird clanking noise in the center of the car. So, I brought it back in and it turned out that the whole drive shaft needed to be replaced. This was going to be a week without my car. I asked for a rental and was told no. At this point, I was furious. I called Suzuki Direct and got quite possibly the worst customer service in my life. The lady I spoke to was horribly rude. She said that basically I was out of luck, because I had a payment on my car and there was nothing they could do for me other than fix the car. I have worked for a call center for 8 years and I have been trained by my customers on how a CSR is supposed to act. This lady was rude and mean. So, I told her that Suzuki cars were a piece of junk and that I would never buy another one. It turned out that may have gotten someone’s attention because the next day, I got a call from the dealer offering me a rental for the week. Things seemed to be going good until I just recently had to get the car inspected again. Guess what? It needs a new wheel bearing and a tie rod. They will replace the wheel bearing at no cost but they want $300.00 to replace the tie rod. I told them that they could keep the tie rod and I would get the car fixed somewhere else. I called Suzuki Direct and told them that if I did not get some kind of compensation, then I would be posting all over the internet about what a horrible car they make. I was told that it was my choice and that I was out of luck. I have had it with the customer service that this company offers. They have no business, even making cars. They are cheap to buy but expensive to own. Their customer service is the worst and must not want a repeat customer. Please stay away and think twice about purchasing their products.
We are in our late 50s, first time ever purchasing a foreign made car and a new one at that. Trusted the salesman Uncle Dave after previously purchasing three other vehicles from him. During the test drive, I mentioned that there seemed to be a lot of road noise in the back. So he turns the radio up! This car was supposed to get 38 mpg. I do get 29, but that is still ways from 38. Uncle Dave never mentioned that Suzuki was pulling out of the US market. Surely no one knew that, not even the dealers. We recently thought about trading for something bigger but after trying to make a deal with another dealership, they would only give us less than half for the car with only 24,000 miles on it. Now my paint is flaking off the car and wheels. Took it in two weeks ago to have it looked at and I had to call them back to find out what the verdict was. Was told that they thought they received word back that they couldnt (or wouldnt) do anything about it. It was suggested that I call Suzuki customer service. Ive got a little over 30,000 on the car now and the warranty only goes to 36,000. Yeah, so Im stuck with this car. Sad thing about it is that my husband traded his mint Harley Davidson Ultra-Glide in on it.
The headlights on my 2006 Grand Vitara constantly burn out. I have had the vehicle for almost two years and have had the front headlights replace five times. I took it back to the dealer the second time they burned out and they said they resolved the problems. Now they say it’s unfortunate that my vehicle lights does burn out often. It is dangerous to drive at night. You dont know when the lights are going to burn out on you. The lights have been costly.
I needed a new car in 2008, so I visited a Suzuki dealership to see what was offered. They had several 2007 Reno Luxury units and I selected one for $14,500.Brand new, with only 35 miles. So far, so good. Then the paint peeled off the door handles. Next, the transmission range switch required replacing. Next, the interior trim started deteriorating. The sunroof ceased sliding open. When washing the car, my young daughter barely leaned on the hood and caused a dent. Flimsy! Next, half of the sound system illumination went out. The tires that came with the car, Kumho, had to be replaced 10,000-15,000 miles due to bulges on the sidewalls. The cigarette lighter fuse went out constantly. Gas mileage was just 22MPG and engine performance was such that one would not take the chance of passing; better to stay in the right-most lane.When I was in an encounter that resulted in my car being deemed a total loss, the air bags did not deploy. Thankfully my daughters were not in the car at the time of impact. In summary, read all the information at hand prior to making a decision - internet and other sources. Hopefully you will have a far better experience than I had!
My father purchased a brand new 2015 King Quad ATV from Suzuki about 8 months ago at the end of October/beginning of November. It was driven around 75 miles before it was placed in the garage for the winter. It was kept from the elements and well taken care of. When it was taken out of the garage around 2 months ago to use in the warmer weather, it was still in brand new, immaculate condition. Within less than a week of it being used, it was driven a mile from our house to check a hunting trail cam.It was parked in a clear area as my dad went 20 feet into the woods, four wheeler still in sight. In less than 2 minutes, a fire ignited under the gas tank. My dad ran to try to smother the flames with dirt for several minutes, but was unable to get the flames under control. Obviously, a mile from his home, in a field, he was unable to do anything more. The fire grew until he took cover and the fuel tank exploded. He had to stand by and watch it burn to the ground. Not minor cosmetic damage, not minor motor damage, literally burn to nothing but frame. Thousands of dollars literally up in smoke.My dad contacted a Suzuki rep. in California at their American headquarters. They treated him like a liar, like his situation didnt matter and like him even contacting them in reference to it was ridiculous. Eventually after he sent pictures to the company, they advised they would send someone to investigate. It took weeks for someone to come to our home. When this person finally arrived, he was rude, passive and very elusive with my dad about what was going on. My dad had no questions answered and ultimately knew, in his gut, that no matter what actually happened, he was going to end up eating thousands of dollars for an ATV he got to drive just over 100 miles. He was correct.After multiple attempts, unanswered calls, unanswered message, he was finally able to get a hold of this company for resolve in what was going on. Keep in mind, he was WELL within his warranty. He was told that it couldnt be proved that what happened was their fault. Surprise there! I bet it was easy to come to that judgment as the piece of crap had burned to the frame. PLEASE tell me, how an immaculately cared for ATV with just over 100 miles on it can spontaneously burst into flames, explode and eventually end up as nothing but a frame. What if he had been driving on it when it exploded? What if one of my children had been on it with me? What if it had been in the garage and caught our entire garage on fire? Im sure we wouldve received the same treatment.Ive done a lot of research on good old Suzuki. They have lists of recalls for FIRE HAZARDOUS issues with ATVS, motorcycles, cars... you name it. One recall spanned over several years of their King Quad models in reference to a gas tank issue, leading to fires... hmm. What a coincidence! Ive read MULTIPLE personal accounts from people who have had to watch their new Suzuki King Quads burn to the ground, same as my father. But its nothing to do with their crap quality products, right?Im sure the pages and pages of complaints against this company and the death traps they put on the road show absolutely nothing about their quality of work. With all that said, Im completely surprised they no longer sell cars in the USA and why theyre filing for bankruptcy! Sense my sarcasm? We are pursuing this wrongful treatment, ignorance of the warranty and will be meeting with an attorney. No one should be treated like this over something they couldnt control.
On 10/04/2011, I was traveling with my pregnant sister and a friend in my 2008 Suzuki XL-7, when I made a left turn and my steering wheel stuck and would not return to center and caused us to make an unintended U- turn striking a utility pole causing extensive damage to the vehicle. To our astonishment there were no airbags deployments to protect us from injury. My dad is an ASE master technician with 35yrs experience and he stated that it appeared to him that the steering gear had stuck in position causing the accident and due to the area and extent of the damage, the airbag system should have deployed to protect the occupants. We are contacting a lawyer for product liability suit.
The best bike I ever traded a car for, it's a 2006 stock Suzuki S40 650 Blvd. I'm 50 years old and I've been riding since I was four years old. This bike - it's fast and cool looking. People ask me about this bike all the time. I even let a Harley fanatic ride it and he loved it and he's always asking me to go riding with his bike club. I'm the only Japanese bike in the group and everyone who has ridden my bike who owns Harleys love it. I can't say anyhing bad about it. It's awesome and I can lose the group in the corners. They can't keep up with me at all.
I purchased two brand new 2008 vehicles in December 2007. One of the vehicles broke down. The dealer I bought the car from is now out of business, as well as the other local dealer in my area. The one dealer is located 45 minutes away and I cant see my vehicle for at least 2 months. I called Suzuki and they want me to tow the vehicle to a dealership in NJ, CT or PA which means another $300-$500 in towing on top of the $200 I already paid. To see if it is an issue covered under the warranty, I have tried calling their corporate office and they just keep routing me back to the same customer service person to tell me how sorry they are, and there is nothing more they can do.I am now paying to have the car fixed out of pocket at a cost of $1200.00 for an issue the dealer supposedly fixed (replacing timing chain) in 09/10. The extended warranty might as well be toilet paper. I will never recommend this brand to anyone! Worst part, I still have another Suzuki vehicle that, God forbid, if it breaks down, will also have a worthless warranty. I spent over $55000.00 between the two vehicles and extended warranties, and for what?
2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara Luxury - My only issue with Suzuki is since they declared bankruptcy, I cannot find OEM parts. I perform all of my own repairs and prefer to use OEM components. Suzuki promised to keep parts in stock - but I didnt trust them and bought about $1200.00 in extra parts. Just recently I installed their 55200-65J23 front brake pads from the spares I had in stock. Then, I tried to find another pair to put back into my stock - I cannot find any Genuine Suzuki Parts. So, I think they lied when they said they would stock parts for several more years. Other than that, I have had a perfect vehicle.
My boyfriend and I bought a 2012 Suzuki SX4 LE back in June and life was good up until about a week ago. Without any warning lights or sensors coming on the engine seized and smoke started billowing out. Mechanic says the engine is shot due to water pump failure but the car has only 45,000 miles on. Of course our warranty is expired and Suzuki refuses to stand by their product. Will not be buying from Suzuki again.
I purchased a 2008 SX4 new. I had good luck with it, no problems except brakes only would last 25-30K miles. Everything was good until my car was broadsided and the air bags did not deploy. This contributed to very severe whiplash. They have had numerous air bag problems, but I never received a recall notice. Would not recommend Suzuki.
I have always brought my car to the Suzuki Dealership in Sulfur,La. or Houston to get it fixed. I am having trouble with them to fix my car. They will not honor their warranty. I have always taken care of my car and I want Suzuki to fix my vehicle and stop giving me the run around.

I have the following problems in my car:After visiting the work shop Modern Motors Egypt in Alexandria 3 times complaining of weird loud sounds in the unpaved roads , they admitted that the part called (in Arabic) Skatra is bad and needs to be fixed. As of my little experience, I told them it wont solve my problem and it has to be the whole part removed but they again refused to change it. And of course, the sounds were never gone and the problem still occurs. Then, finally they agreed to change the whole bad parts as I said from the beginning, but I, the consumer, had to pay the part of price and Modern Motors pays the rest which I refused it totally and angrily complained to Modern Motors Cairo, main head office. Finally, I got an approval that I wont bear anything which is within my rights because my car is still in guarantee as I explained before.Finally they ordered the spare parts from Japan. Do you know what?! That was in September 2011! And up till now, my car is not good; Im suffering very bad conditions, wondering if they really ordered these spare parts? When? Why is there delay?I have a problem at the driver seat. Its not attached properly and shaky. I think the problem is in the 2 passages attached on the cars floor which the seat goes forward and backwards through them, and again they claimed that nothing is wrong and Im just imagining it!I have problems at the fuel tank. When I brake, I can hear and feel the fuel shaking in tank. Is that normal? Besides, when I fully load the tank, the pointer takes about 30 minutes to point at the F mark and that is not normal.The cigarette lighter is not working.I didnt go yet to the work shop about the last two complaints but I know that they will negatively react and I have to complain to Cairo head office then, and that shall take a month! Im quite busy since I work in a multinational petroleum co. Elab in the marketing dept. Im really astonished at that kind of service since I work in the marketing field, and that definitely is not helping Suzuki, since the Egyptians adore the Japanese products/cars.Note that the reception staff of Modern Motors Alexandria are really, really, really unprofessional employees, in addition to the head manager. He treats the customers in a very bad way!
Just before lockdown purchased the vehicle and due to sudden lockdown came to home town and not sure when Ill return to Bangalore. Since Im not using the Vehicle and unable to give for service. So, requested for Free services extension but they didnt agree for that and havent provided any resolution.

While driving around corner, transmission range sensor failed. These cars need recalled or a class action lawsuit should be filed. Peoples life are at risk when they failed. I went off the road because of a safety issue in the 2006 Forenza. Sad to think it was built in America. Why is Suzuki not being held responsible?
I have a SUZUKI Grand Vitara 2010 with 29,000 miles on it. The car run good up to now but I do heard a noise at the front end. Any one around this world has this kind a problem. Tell me please, I do 75% of my maintenance got me crazy. Looks like a something loose or bad shock maybe.
I have sent my wifes Suzuki Grand Vitara for a meter fault about 2 weeks ago, that takes a week to rectify the problem. My town that is 250 KM away from Kuala Lumpur but it took a week to send the parts, that also they sent a wrong model part. Today I was told again they need a few weeks to get a new one from Japan. Can someone tell me how to get this settled faster as I am losing my patience? I have no confidence in Suzuki service.
2012 SX4 less than 35,000 miles blew up smoke coming from everywhere. Call Suzuki and they told me that the dealer closed down and the nearest one near me was 100 miles away and they would only pay for 35 miles. I ask why am I having to pay, I didnt move your dealer closed down. Then on top of that they said that I was still under warranty but I have to prove that I did nothing wrong and then they would fix my car. I have owned 2 cars made by them one from 2002 and now this 2012 and I have never had any problems till now. I hate to see how they really treat their customers. All my friends that went to buy their cars will soon be trading them in after this matter. I hope that I never have to deal with these people again.
Access 125 - Battery failed in just 13 months & forced to replace. I purchased a Suzuki Access 125 in June 2012 from Shiv Autoriders (P) Ltd., Pune and did the servicing as per given schedule. After second day of the 7th servicing (paid), it is not getting self-started. So, I handed it over to the above vendor. Now, they called me saying the battery is not working and you need to buy a new battery at Rs. 1350/-. The main thing here is that the battery was working before giving the bike for servicing. Secondly, if they have checked the battery during servicing and claimed that it was in good condition, how is it possible that it will get damaged in one day automatically? And that too is in just 13 months. Request you to please help me resolve the issue. Thank you.
We purchased a new 2008 Suzuki SX-4 Hatchback in fall of 2008. The car was maintained with regular oil changes approximately every 5,000 miles although I failed to keep documentation. The engine suffered a failure of the connecting rod bearings in August 2013 at 81,000 miles, with no indication of low oil levels. Suzuki refused to honor the powertrain warranty and the resultant repair is estimated to cost $5,650. The replacement engine will only have a 2-year/19,000 mile warranty. Online postings indicate that this engine is prone to connecting rod bearing failures at low mileages. Perhaps this is why Suzuki America is in bankruptcy.
My family has a Campion 542 Explorer and he put a 150 on it and all you hear when you drive is the drive shaft whining. It’s like a bravo 3 on a 5.0mpi at 3200 rpm except like 10 time louder. Please fix this on your next motors Suzuki because theyre trash.
I just bought a Suzuki XL7 last year September 2020. In just six months rust are developing inside the glove box and outside of the door handle, drivers side in particular. I already informed my dealership regarding this matter but they just told us that they will call upon the approval of repair from Suzuki PH. This was not just an isolated case, it was a clear flaws of this Suzuki brand. This is not an isolated case because many of us (Suzuki XL7 PH owner) had the same problem and in the same spot of problem. Hope Suzuki had a time to read this complain and hope they will give us a better solution on this issues. This may give a bad impression on the integrity of how this car was built. The engine performance and the overall appearance was great but the rust problem will give you a headache. I will give you an update if they come up for a better solution on this.
Bought a 2013 kizashi gts and it has been a nightmare. It will not stay aligned and ate a set of tires at 10,000 miles. They put new tires but still will not stay aligned. Stayed at dealer for almost two months waiting on suzuki rep. When a guy was able to meet with us he said with them being bankrupt nothing could be done. He told us nothing wrong and wished he could do something to make it better. After getting car home we looked under car and they had put new parts under it and raised it up!!!! They lied flat out!!!!! 13,500 miles on car and still has an alignment issue. Tires have 3500 miles and wear already showing. Now engine makes a moaning noise and has smelled of antifreeze since we got it!!! Went to try and trade and left just sick. The value has plummeted so much it is not worth much and we owe lots more!!!!! We got taken advantage of not having internet and not knowing about the real deal with suzuki. Will probably have to let car be repossessed and it just stinks. We do not feel a csr jumping all over road is safe for our children to be in.
All the positive reviews you've read on this bike are for a reason. It's simply a great bike! No matter what situation you put it in, it shines. It's really light and flickable. This bike loves tight technical and canyon roads. that's not to say it lacks everything else, although I would recommend a seat upgrade for long trips. Compared equally, this bike really outperforms everything else out there for the money. Sure you could buy a better bike but for what you will pay, it can't be beat! I'm just over 200 lbs. and when I first got the SV, I got razzed by my riding buddies about it, but as soon as we got into the canyons all the teasing stopped! Trust me you will not be disappointed with the purchase of an SV!
