2025 Rolls-Royce Ghost

The 2025 Rolls-Royce Ghost is a full-size luxury sedan that blends the marque’s signature craftsmanship, exclusivity and refinement with modern performance, technology and usability. As a four-door chauffeur-capable vehicle, it prioritises comfort and elegance while still offering drivers an engaging and capable experience.

Powertrain & Performance

The Ghost is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre V12 engine delivering approximately 563 horsepower and 627 lb-ft (≈850 Nm) of torque.

A high-performance “Black Badge” variant boosts power further (to about 592 hp in some reports) along with more aggressive tuning.

An eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system come standard, ensuring smooth, confident power delivery.

Performance is strong for its class: 0-60 mph is claimed in around 4.6 seconds.

Fuel economy is modest, as expected for a luxury V12 sedan, with estimates of around 12 mpg city / 19 mpg highway (U.S. figures).

Despite its size and luxury orientation, the Ghost features advanced chassis tech such as all-wheel steering and an adaptive air-suspension system that includes road-surface scanning to anticipate bumps — contributing to “magic carpet” ride quality.

Interior, Features & Practicality

The cabin is exquisitely appointed: deeply crafted leather, fine wood veneers, metal accents and optionally a star-filled “Starlight Headliner”. Rear-seat comfort is a priority, with generous leg- and head-room, and available features such as massaging rear seats, extending footrests, and bespoke refrigeration or champagne coolers.

Technology is upscale: a large digital instrument cluster, premium infotainment system, connectivity features and Rolls-Royce-specific details such as the illuminated “Pantheon” grille ahead of the driver and the hallmark “Spirit of Ecstasy” hood ornament.

Although the Ghost is a luxury performance sedan, it remains practical: the four-door layout makes access easy; the refined chassis supports both chauffeur and owner-driven use; and though not a supercar, it supports dynamic driving when desired.

Customisation is extensive: Rolls-Royce offers a vast palette of exterior colours, two-tone finishes, interior trims and bespoke options, making each car highly individual.

Strengths

Supreme luxury and refinement: Few cars match the Ghost for cabin ambience, build quality and attention to detail.

Excellent blend of usability and exclusivity: You get the usability of a modern luxury sedan, plus the cachet and bespoke nature of Rolls-Royce.

Strong performance for the segment: The V12 and chassis technologies give credible dynamic capability alongside the comfort focus.

Bespoke personalisation: The Ghost is highly configurable and appeals to owners for whom exclusivity and individuality matter.

Considerations & Things to Keep in Mind

Premium cost: Both the initial purchase price and running costs (maintenance, tyres, fuel, insurance) are high.

Size and weight: As a full-size luxury sedan, parking, manoeuvring and convenience in tighter urban settings may be more challenging than smaller luxury cars.

Utility trade-offs: While spacious and comfortable, the Ghost is still a luxury sedan—not a large SUV—so if cargo capacity, third-row seating or rugged usage are priorities, different vehicle types may serve better.

Efficiency: The focus is on luxury and performance rather than fuel economy or efficiency; owners should expect modest economy in typical use.

Customisation complexity: With so many bespoke options, cost can escalate quickly—buyers should be clear on their specification and budget.

Ideal Buyer Profile

The 2025 Ghost is well-suited for someone who:

Values ultimate luxury, craftsmanship, exclusivity and marque prestige.

Wants a sedan form that offers both refined chauffeur-level comfort and the capacity to enjoy the drive themselves.

Is comfortable investing in the highest tier of luxury automotive and appreciates the bespoke nature of Rolls-Royce.

Does not need vast cargo space, rugged off-road capability or third-row seating—but instead prioritises elegance, presence and driving refinement.

I have owned this car for a few months and I have loved every moment in it. It looks absolutely amazing and I love it so much. The performance is what you would expect from a 5,000 pound car.

I have had a 2019 phantom since the beginning of April and the car has been in the shop at least 3 times because of vibrations coming from the wheels and tires. The last time it was in the shop for 3 weeks! Other than that I really like the car. I think that the customer service of rolls royce is not that great.
