I was driving home from Wal-Mart, which is about a 20 minute drive. I am not sure what happened, as I must have blacked out, or blocked it out, but I woke up flipping over and over, and found out it was in a field. Witnesses claimed the car flipped 12 times, before landing on the roof of the car. All the windows, besides one I believe, were knocked out, and there werent airbags. I have an artificial hip, due to another wreck, where I was a passenger. I was trying to get the seat belt off, as I was scared something else would happen if I didnt get out, but it was stuck. Finally, a gentleman showed up. He had to crawl down under me, to cut the belt, and get me out, without causing more problems. The first thing I heard the policeman say was the bags did not go off, then I heard the same thing next day, when I went to pick up whatever was left. A prescription was lost or stolen. We looked everywhere, and my Tom Tom, which was in the glove box was gone. I went by ambulance to the hospital. They took an x-ray of my chest and neck, and did some CT scans to check my back. As of now, I have bruises and abrasions, but I can barely walk without crutches. The same side of my hip was replaced in 1994. My back has a large bruise, and it hurts real bad to move, cough, etc. I did not have comp or collision, as I was told, when a car is over 20 years old, they dont need it.The car is completely totaled. The roof was crushed like a v right down the middle. The medic said if my head or the v had been an inch or so closer, I would not be here. If there are this many complaints, why hasnt Ford done something about it? I was shocked. I was supposed to be on federal jury tomorrow. I had to call and cancel that. Currently, all I can do is lay in bed or on the couch, with heating pads and pain medications. I may have to call my orthopedic doctor, if I dont get any better. But my husband has been out of work taking care of me. He went back today, and the my doctor is in Charleston, about 2 hours and some minutes from where we are. He cant afford to take off constantly.

On Oct 2010, my truck was parked and half hour later burst into flames. I have been run around by Ford for a year. I am now going to sue Ford after a year of being given the run around. It is clear it was caused by the cruise control switch. The truck is a 2002 Harley Davidson that was always maintained.

Id give zero stars if that was possible. Back story: never owned US made car. Drove just about every brand of Japanese car out there since 83, with no major complaints. I decided perhaps it was time to give a US company a try and my research suggested Ford the best of them. I got a new Explorer. Explorer seemed like a solid vehicle until at 20k miles it started to suffer some mysterious electrical problem, the worst of which manifests itself by hitting the gas pedal and nothing happens. The revs are there, its just nada between transmission and the engine. It can last a few seconds to a few minutes and when it does finally engage, the car leaps forward similar to what happens when you drop the clutch hard on a manual car.Other things are rear view cam coming on when going forward, cruise control shutting off for no reason etc. Worst, and potentially dangerous is the dead motor thing. Left me dead in the water in an intersection the other day. Brought it to Ford service three times now. First two times, being (apparently) an electrical issue, and an intermittent one at that, of course they couldnt reproduce the problem or fix it. Third time was the charm as I walked the tech out and it did it for him in person, so he confirmed it and said he thought it was electrical vs. a transmission issue. Once they got it in the shop, you guessed it, they could not reproduce it, and no fix.Now Im getting pissed. Many phone calls, etc. later to Ford corporate, them generally doing jack** to help me, etc., they then ask me to bring it in for a 4th time! I said I would, if they would at least tell me what they would happen after #4 visit and no fix: replace the car, let me out of the lease, etc. if after #4 if was not fixed. Their response was we will evaluate that afterward in a good faith review I responded, So if after #4 and nothing is fixed, we go onto #5? They ignored the Q. Seemed pretty reasonable request to me...Hence a total non answer and yet, I should bring it in for #4 with zero commitment from them, so at that point I declined knowing it was a waste of time and all they are doing is trying to wear me down and give up. I have 7 months left on the lease. So, it appears Im stuck with Ford until the lease run out (which is me paying for a defective car), pay the lease off and walk, which is me throwing $ in the toilet on a defective car. And Ford was supposed to be the most reliable of US brands. No wonder we continue to lose market share to the Japanese, etc.

As a leasee with Ford leasing, two vehicles, I am disappointed that Ford does not support account holders when trying to log on to their account... when submitting inquiries about early termination of a lease... converting a lease to purchase before an existing lease is up. Like other large corporations, Fords business model appears to basically be: For every customer lost, we get five new ones. Which follows the third world agricultural model of slash and burn... without sustainable crops planted. What we consumers need to do is collectively demand our sovereignty as consumers as written in Americas Free Market Bible written by Adam Smith... we.. the consumer decides fair treatment, not an overpaid executive core in the corporate board room.

My overall experience is very great with this Mercury Mariner. I live in the northeast and I havent gotten stuck with this car at all. It is used, but it hasnt given me a problem. This vehicle has a lot of features that made me choose it. It was the first vehicle I test drove. I loved the sunroof, heated leather seats. I also like that it is AWD all the time. I enjoy the stock CD and sound. But I dont like the mpg of this car. It is a v6. I would have liked to have a navigation screen, a backup camera, and an information center with displaying mpg to empty and warning messages.

This was in 2017, my 2016 Ford Transit Connect Sunroof curtain was jammed and will not close when my warranty mileage was still under 30k miles. When I called the Ford dealer in Hagerstown MD to look at it they told me to bring it in on their next available date which was almost 1 wk plus away. I told them that I was traveling out of state; anyway when I finally took the van to them they told me that my warranty was 1k 100 miles off to call Ford motors. When I called them they told me to call my branch dealer which I told that I have already did & they told me that they cant do anything about it. So now Im stucked with this defective curtain rail that will not close. Still Love my little Transit connect.

The 1998 Mercury Mountaineer is a durable reliable car and I was able to get a good deal. It was only $2000 and has over 150,000 miles on it. The color is dark green and I like how it has a sun roof and that it has all-wheel drive. We have owned this car for about two years and hasnt been expensive to keep up with maintenance. The car only gets about 12 miles to the gallon so I wish that the gas mileage could be improved and be like that of the Honda I used to own.

I purchased a used 2015 Ford Fusion. I understand that there are a few things I would need/want to do with the car to use the features available. The car came with one key, which has been set to the ‘MyKey’ feature. I asked to have it reset at dealership as it is the only key and I am limited on what I can do - I am locked out of some radio channels and while I might be locked down to a ‘Max Speed’, I haven’t hit it yet. Their answer - The only way YOU can do that is to buy another key - $300. (Great customer service to make me work instead of offering alternate solutions to assist me). The car does not have the owners manual, therefore I don’t have the code for the keyless entry. Their answer - Sure, $60. Never mind, thanks for trying to make me give you more money to be able to get into the car you made. There are other things I would like to do with the car, but I stopped asking afraid it would just cost too much. Very disappointing.

My Ford Edge is black with sparkle in the paint and 22 in wheels. It drives smooth and has remote start. It is all wheel drive and includes a backup camera. The car drives well in the snow which we get a lot of here. The size of the car is perfect and the accessories. It has every option that you can think of. The interior is all leather. And overall, its a nice car. However, the entire top is glass which is cold. The back does not hold very much without putting the seats down. Also, there is so many accessories that things can go wrong. Still, I love the car.

I wanted a Ford Edge for 8 years. Went through a terrible illness with husband that forced him to stop working. So when we finally could afford a vehicle I knew what I wanted. I love my Ford Edge and I think my husband does too. We have always had a bigger car. And the Edge is very roomy, extremely comfortable for traveling and have not had any problem. I also love the way it drives. My Edge has a lot of extras and I like the heated seats, reclining back seats, sunroof and color. Also, the only thing I dislike is the color of carpet. Its tan and thats too light. Darker carpet doesnt show any wear. But still, I will only buy Edges.

Due to past help with constructing the PeaceNet a small International Netwo
Due to past help with constructing the PeaceNet a small International Network; that ultimately turned into the Internet, I can do things most people cannot. The e-mail explains the problems I am having with a Ford Escape. It is a new car with less than a thousand miles on it that is viewed as a deathtrap. Even more problems have come up by research that make the situation even worse. Every time the word Ford comes down the Internet, I am sent the e-mail address. Other words in the e-mail such as purchase can be used to define the list. I have amassed the e-mails of thousands of people that are considering purchasing something from Ford. The Ford resolution department has tried to solve the problem by giving me the X-Plan pricing. The problem is that I would purchase a Ford Edge which is a much safer car and I can get my wife and family to ride in. I have not been able to make a deal on an Edge even though I have the reduced pricing on the Edge because I cannot get the zero percent 72 month financing like I have on the Escape. I am 75 years old, my wife and I live on Social Security and have a house that has expenses plus living expenses that happen even though the house is paid for. I have a credit rating of 815. I live as economically as possible; no extra anything and never go to restaurants or any kind of entertainment. However, a large car payment does not fit into the budget. 72 month or 84 month would be ideal. I have had the Escape repaired at the finest body shop around and carries a lifetime guarantee on the work. Everybody at Ford Resolution is telling me I have to go to Ford Finance for the longer terms. I am going to lose money on the trade in even though it has only three digit miles on it. I have tried to get Ford to take the car back and they will not. Their resolution is that they give me a low price on the purchase, but the dealers will not give me the same finance arrangement. So I am appealing to Ford Finance. There are dealers in the far North area of Chicago that have longer Zero percent financing. I dont know if they use Ford Financing or not. Purchasing a car at a dealer 80 miles away makes no sense. If I cannot make a deal at a price and financing, then I must do my e-mail campaign. I am ready to send thousands of e-mails everyday to people around the world telling them the five points that I have found, as an Engineer by trade, that makes this car dangerous and risky to drive. I go into great detail about this. I have nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. I would not let one of them ride in the rear area of this Ford Escape. The way that glass rear window just exploded after the accident is real scary. Glass came up into the front area like it was a bullet. It is my duty as a responsible citizen to do this.

My wife and I awoke this morning around 0600 to the sound of a horn honking
My wife and I awoke this morning around 0600 to the sound of a horn honking right next to our bedroom window and bright lights outside. I figured someone was trying to pick up a friend to take to work and had the wrong house. When I looked out the window, I saw my 1999 F-150 with a 12-18 hole in the center of its hood with flames shooting up through it. The horn honking must have either been an emergency alarm or the wires crossed after the plastic melted off them. I ran outside while the fire was still relatively small and attempted to put it out with a small kitchen fire extinguisher - which only lasted 3 seconds and did nothing to stop the blaze. I quickly pulled out the important things I could reach from inside the cab and it went up in flames shortly thereafter. My wife had already contacted 911 and I tried to turn on the garden hose - which was right next to the truck - but it was frozen solid. I quickly hooked up an empty hose, but when I turned the water back on - I only got half power (there must have been a partial ice blockage) so I proceeded to hold a trickle of water over my aluminum truck bed tool box while the firefighters arrived and got their hose out - which only took about a minute. They blasted the truck with water and got most of the flames out, and then they blasted and showered several spots with foam. The cab was burnt to a crisp, but everything in my aluminum tool box in the truck bed was okay aside from a plastic tool box melting slightly to the inner wall of the aluminum box. A corner of our garage - which was almost directly over the rear drivers corner of the cab - had slight blistering to the paint, but its hardly noticeable. We were very fortunate that this happened at a time when we were both able to react to the emergency as it was unfolding, and we were very fortunate to have been able to remove almost everything of any value from the cab, and fortunate as well that the garage didnt ignite. It was below freezing out for sure, and my truck had sat there cold for about 36 hours before the fire started. From now on, Im going to park well away from our house and garage. Im also going to buy several types of fire extinguishers to keep in the house and in the next vehicle I get, as well as a designated emergency-hose to keep indoors to prevent it from freezing. And having read so many other stories here about spontaneous combustion in Ford vehicles, I dont think I can ever buy one again.

Very disappointed with Ford Motor Company. We purchased 2012 Ford Focus with 92,000 miles for my daughter in college. Good dependable vehicle - after 1.5 months the SYNC radio started to go in and out. After about a week of this - completely black screen. My daughter is at college and could not get back to dealer we purchased it from - they made repair of the SYNC module for $907. I then found that Ford had a warranty for this issue, regardless of miles - but limited to 5 years. So Ford says tough luck to me - while I find this terrible that with hands free and safety concerns that Ford would not stand behind this issue when they know they have one. My dad, My dads brother, My dads dad, My moms dad dad, 3 other uncles all retired from Ford Motor Company - some even drove test cars for Henry Ford 1st. I will never purchase another Ford product again after knowing that they know they have issue but refuse to address the issue when they know it was never fixed.Areal was the man who took my call at Ford and said that no one else would ever tell me different - it expired and Ford does not care that the hands free is not functional for phone in their car they manufacture. I WILL ONLY BUY GENERAL MOTOR VEHICLES FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE - this is terrible service FORD MOTOR COMPANY. Shame on you. Gerald **.

I am the owner of a 2012 Ford Focus which is known to have a bad clutch and transmission. While I was under warranty, I had two clutches replaced and multiple software flashes to try and fix the issue. I have only had my new clutch for about 19,000 miles but because I am now out of warranty, they are making me pay for a new one. The first service representative at Miller Ford advised that we have the old clutch and right after they put that into my vehicle, they came out with a new clutch that fixed the issues the old one is having. He explained that due to this, the new one should be covered. After they diagnosed my vehicle, they are now stating that since my vehicle has over 100,000 miles, I would have to pay for the new clutch, even though they know they put a clutch in my car with KNOWN ISSUES. My husband was active duty military and when the military tells you to move, they dont pay to transport your car so we were forced to drive across the country with our vehicle. Military families will ALWAYS have more miles on a vehicle than a family that doesnt have to move all over the country. I find Fords actions reprehensible since they know the clutch that is in my car is BAD and they JUST REPLACED it. They also advised me that when a clutch is replaced under warranty, the warranty on the part is a lot shorter than if I had paid for it. Ford knows that they came out with a clutch to fix the problems that the one that is in my car is having, but yet they are STILL MAKING ME PAY FOR IT. DO NOT BUY A FORD, THEY ARE THIEVES AND AN UNETHICAL COMPANY.

Ford sold me new Ford Transit 2020 van and after only 6k miles and only few month of gentle use vans transmission broke. The van was making noise, no sensors went out so I kept driving and waiting for appointment to the shop for about 2 weeks. When at the shop I was told that all the fluid leaked out from transmission. I was driving this vehicle without transmission coolant for a period of few weeks so in my opinion the transmission is done and only a matter of time when it completely goes. People at the shop replaced the faulty part and send me on my way. When I called Ford customer care department to complain and ask to at least give me extended warranty so I feel more confident in the vehicle, and to know if transmission breaks again at least it would be covered under warranty. Ford customer care representative (Kaytlyn **) offered me a free oil change, can you believe this? A free oil change? Which made me even more upset about the whole situation and ford customer service.P.S They sold me a vehicle which was manufactured in January and I bought it in November, the van was passed from dealership to dealership with some miles on it until it found me and was sold to me as a new vehicle, salesperson failed to disclose this information until after the purchase. My advice is think twice before you buy a Ford product!

I brought my 2001 Taurus wagon in to have snow tires installed on Nov. 23, 2011 and the mechanic said that I had a cracked left front coil spring but that it was part of a recall, so it wouldnt cost anything to replace. I scheduled an appointment and was told the offer expired on Sept. 29, 2011, which is 10 years from the purchase date of the vehicle. I called Ford to find out why they never told me of this and they claim they sent out notices, which they didnt, at least not to me. Im the only owner of the vehicle and live at the same address as I did when vehicle was purchased. Ford wouldnt budge on this. I also noticed I had a suspension/strut service done in Oct. 2005. Smooth ride, excellent handling, 4 wheel disc brakes provide superior breaking, whisper quiet smooth V8 with plenty of power. Comfortable and stylish as well. Part unavailable for my 2015 F-350. I purchased this truck in April of this year. It is a King Ranch. Shortly after picking up the truck a couple of warning lights came on. Took it back to the dealership and was told it needs a RCM Harness which was currently unavailable. The truck was still in warranty so I left it with the dealership awaiting a part. That was April 19, 2019. The truck is still there and there is no ETA on this part. Ford customer service has sent me an email regularly saying there is no idea when this will be available. In the meantime I have a brand new camper (5th wheel) and no way to use it. I have been told this is not uncommon for this model and I wonder why it is taking so long for a part to be available. I feel Ford as well as the dealership should offer some serious compensation for this as the previous owner traded it due to this problem (he told me) and the dealership did not disclose it however Ford has not addressed the issue.

This stinks, as this will now cost a pretty penny to get fixed.

My complaint is with Ford Motor Company. My vehicle was covered under the power train warranty and I noticed sluggish shifting and jarring in low gears. Because it was within 60k miles, I took it to their service center. They said they created ROI but couldnt do anything until a service light came on. It felt unsafe to drive but I did continue driving, the service light came on when it downshifted too far and red lined. I took video and picture of this within the vehicle, but the light shut off before I could get back to them. They claimed they couldnt recover the code, but they did have my picture proving light had been on. They also drove vehicle and confirmed the mechanical issue I experienced. This is all documented, but both the dealership and Ford is unwilling to service vehicle to satisfaction and now vehicle falls outside warranty mileage. I have all invoice documentation and pictures proving this, and Ford also said they cant fix vehicles without service light. This all took place over the course of 6 weeks or so, not years or even months. They are avoiding their warranty obligation.Shortly after, the service light came on and Ford confirmed what I already new, Transmission issues. Even though I reported the issue within warranty with ROI invoice created, Ford refuses to pay full cost of repair because light didnt stay on until just outside of warranty miles. This is definitely deceptive and probably illegal to not cover the repair, which is why Ford is offering to cover less than half. However, I would never recommend purchasing from Ford again as they dont back their warranties. Its unfortunate as Ive been a Ford owner of new vehicles for years, but I cant recommend anymore. Quality control and lack of Warranty consistency has hurt this once great American Brand.

We purchased a Ford Edge for the specific reason of towing it behind our RV. The dealership assured us the transmission was built to enable us to tow it four wheels down. This part is true, but what they neglected to tell us is that the car does not charge the battery unless it is idling or being driven, leaving us with a completely dead battery after even an hour! After talking with the customer service at the Ford Corp... thats it. Pretty much too bad. The manual tells you to start the car after 4-5 hours of towing, which is difficult since it is dead after one hour. Ford could not even give any assistance in what could be done as far as spark plugs, trickle charger, etc. Too bad... a $27,000 mistake. I wish I had my CRV back; no problems whatsoever!

2017 Escape SE, purchased brand new. We are not hard on our cars! Maintain them as required, had a 2010 Escape hybrid that we had for 11 years and loved it. Thats what prompted us to buy another. Any way 30,000 miles engine light comes on then goes out. Starts to idle rough. The next day when I started the car the engine light comes back on and stays on. Call Ford dealer, they said drive it in. I do, they tell me new engine is required. Lucky still under warranty. They said its okay to drive while they get the new engine, since we are in Hawaii everything takes a long time to get things anyway. So they tell me at least a month, but I am figuring on at least 2 months. Time will tell if the engine blows before I get the new one. FRUSTRATING!

Ford Motor Company dont want business from US citizens of Puerto Rico... On November 24, 2017 at the Central Florida International Auto Show I was enjoying a great Auto Show especially looking at the Pickup trucks inside the Orlando Convention Center. Ford, Nissan and Chevy pickups were my top pick for my next purchase, the only other thing that I needed to was to test drive them. So after spending all day at the show I went outside and test drove with Nissan, Dodge and others with my Puerto Rico drivers license with no issues. But when I stop at the Ford Test drive tent I show my Puerto Rico drivers license like I did with the other 3 locations and was notify that it was no good, only US driver license. I told the lady that Puerto Rico is part of the United States but she didnt care. Last time I check Ford has dealerships in the island of Puerto Rico. As a US citizen and a US service member, I felt disappointed, disrespect... Ford Motor Company lost a customer... and hopefully many more.

Current owner of 2 Ford vehicles. I have a 2019 Ford F150 and a 2016 Ford Edge. Both vehicles have ran awesome for the last several years we have had them. We have loved them since the day we got them. Well, 1 Day after Powertrain warranty expires on the Edge, the check engine light comes on. Odd, but we figure we better get it checked out ASAP. Take it into the shop the following day as that is when they could get us in. Codes P0303 and P0316 pop up for a cylinder 3 misfire. Turns out vehicle needs a TSB 19-2346 performed. For those of you that dont know, that is a whole Long block replacement (Needs a new motor because cylinder 3 burning up coolant). I am frustrated to say the least that ford will not take ownership of the issue, even though they have came out with a full service bulletin for this issue. Keep in mind the vehicle has a perfect service record and only 45,000 miles on it which is well below average. So now I am sitting here with a broke down car that Ford wants me to pay $6,200 to put a new motor in. This issue has got me thinking about switching completely to another brand because their customer service on this event has been horrible and no understanding from them. Just them telling me I am out of luck.

Ford Customer Service treats its customers like 2nd class citizens. They tell you one thing then do another. The settlement offer payment I sent in on 09/19/12 took almost 2 weeks to post. Now I was told that they are selling my vehicle at a private sale if I do not send in the balance plus repossession fee which I have already done. It was delivered at 8:57am on 10/09/12 and as of now it has not been posted to my account. I have sent the money both times and Ford has faltered on their end by not posting the payments in a timely manner. They have moved the vehicle from 100 miles to 200 miles away. Now I have to get someone to go with so that I can get my vehicle if Ford decided to post the payment. Do not worry that there will most likely be another post if I ended up losing my vehicle because of the way Ford does business. I would never recommend Ford or Ford Credit to even my worst enemy, much less a friend.

There is no way anyone could have known that the airbags would not deploy.

My 2014 Ford Explorer Limited had many issues, mostly small annoying problems that could be resolved quickly, however, Ford service is the worst on the planet, they will make you cry every time you come to see them, and I have tried 3 different dealerships here in California. So they always want to keep the car all day and almost always come back to me at around 4 pm to let me know that they are not able to duplicate the issue, even though in many cases I took a ride with their technician who verified the sound. Then they tell me that the sound I am hearing is normal. One time I lost 4 days dealing with them until they finally replaced the half shaft, now I am having same issue and same argument with them. I have now told so many people not to buy Ford and I am posting everywhere on the Internet about my experience.

On Saturday, November 14th, I came outside to start my car, the car would not turn and I had a notice to Service Power Steering Now. Just the day before the car drove fine no issues. I researched the issue and it is well known and also had a class action lawsuit against it. When speaking to Ford Motor Company, they had no desire to fix the issue because it was not recalled, although thousands of 2010 Ford Fusions have this issue. I spoke to the local Ford Dealership who has my car and the service tech said this is 99.9% not my fault and there is nothing I could have done to prevent this from happening because it is an Electrical System Failure. In trying to get the issue resolved for my American car, I spoke to several unpleasant representatives in the Philippines and they said there is nothing they can do and they can’t escalate my case.Ford stated that because my car is over $60k, it is not covered under warranty but this again is a well known issue. I would like for Ford to own up to their mistake while creating this vehicle and cover the expense. If you really think about it, Ive seen over 4k complaints in regards to this same issue, each one of us had to $1,800 to repair a part that was 99.9% not our fault. I need for James Hackett to consider recalling the 2010 Ford Fusion Power Steering for the safety of our children and families. What if my 9 year old daughter was in the car and it happened while I was driving. Ford is putting many lives at risk. And it is not fair that I have an American car and have to speak to someone in the Philippines regarding my vehicle. They dont care, they want a paycheck. The media needs to take on this situation, THIS IS SERIOUS.

I purchased a 2011 Ford edge. I was recently reading the different features and realized that Sync was now compatible with IOS phones and I could listen to texts messages. Well, here is where it all begins. I contact the sync service because after following the online instructions to try and use the text feature. I was unsuccessful. The person gets on the phone and I explain my issue. She has me go to my car and go into settings insisting that I find this particular setting that did not exist. After arguing with her for about 30 mins. She finally decided to get a supervisor involved. She then came back and realized I needed to do a update install. So I followed her instructions to go on the website. Again I was unsuccessful downloading the update. In the meantime I do a vehicle report. Something that comes with your son account. While still trying to figure out how to download the update. I see in red on the following. VIN: **. FSA Title: Sync with MyFord/MyLincoln touch - warranty extension covering accessory protocol interface module (APIM). Field Service Action Number: 12M02. VIN: **. FSA Title: Extended warranty coverage on brake booster. Field Service Action Number: **.Now I tried several times to do the install. So I call in and a lady comes on and I explain to her I am unable to get the install to work. I also tell her at the time I am using a mac computer and she tells me that is fine. So she begins walking me through the steps. One of the steps is to drag three folders over to the usb. I explain to her that there is like 17. She says there should only be three that I did something wrong. So she proceeds to tell me to go ahead and just drag the first 3 over and try that. So after several attempts and an hour goes by. She finally talks to her supervisor. She comes back on and says. I am really sorry but my supervisor just told me we are having issues with the install with people using MAC. (Wow you just figured that out?) So she tells me that I will have to use a windows system. So I do that and the items I need load on the USB. So again I follow the instructions to install the update. Now it says the update will take around 30 mins. I install the usb. It does a few things and the screen goes blank. It says this is normal. An hour later the screen still has not come on. So I call Sync services again. I explain the issue and so the lady walks me through some steps and nothing worked to bring my screen up... So then she says she wants to check something else out. She comes back and says I found that your car has an extended warranty on the APIM that there is issues with it. She proceeds to give me a code number and tells me to go to the dealer and they will repair it at no charge. I go to the dealer and the dealer also sees that there is an extended warranty. So I make my appoint drop my car off and I get a phone call from the dealer. Telling me the APIM is bad. However is not under warranty.I was angry at this point. Had I been warned that the install may cause this issue and was told it was not under warranty I would have considered leaving it alone and going about my business or consulted the local dealership on the cost which is approximately $800 for something that Ford admitted was an issue. So I spend the next hour trying to get someone to listen. Only to be told sorry that warranty was for only five years and it ran out last year. So there was a huge lack of customer service experience by several people that work for Ford. But also my vehicle report was inaccurate. How can say. We know something is wrong. But we are going put a cap on how much time you get to getting it repaired. It was bad to begin with so I suffer for your mistakes? Needless to say I got nowhere.

I bought the car with 2,000 miles and they said is considered as new. I had the same problem as everyone here. During the past four years, I have taken it to the dealer 4 times for the transmission clutch. The last time they said there was another piece that needed to be replaced, so the transmission does not fail anymore but that piece was not cover by the warranty. I paid about $300. Looks like the warranty will be covered by piece. I dont understand. Right now is the fifth time my car is at the dealer and I hope they dont come with the same story. Quality and customer service are they a dinosaur of the past? It seems so.
Quality and customer service are they a dinosaur of the past? It seems so. We purchased a 2009 Ford Diesel truck in May of 2010 with the expectation that this truck with a diesel engine would last upwards in the 200,000-300,000 mileage range with proper maintenance and care, which is one of the major selling points of a diesel engine. The truck was paid off and in September of 2015 just one month out of warranty this truck had to have both turbochargers replaced at Henry Day Ford for a little over $5,000.00. The mileage was at 90,651. Just under the engine break in period as is normally advertised. We asked the service advisor at that time, what more can we do to prevent these costly repairs. The answer was nothing can be done, except regular oil changes at proper intervals. In May of this year we had what we thought to be the exact same problem and returned it to Henry Day Ford to get it repaired. We were told that it would be over $21,000.00 to repair the truck as the engine was beyond repair, two cylinders had low compression. The original price on the truck was just under $35,000.00 and adding in the costly repair in September we are now at $40,000 for a truck with 100,499 miles on it, and it is not running. My first question; what has happened to quality in a product? I remember in the past one of Fords main advertising statement was Quality is job one. Apparently in Fords case, quality is not a job at all. Do we as providers or manufacturers expect to deliver less than the best quality to our customers and consumers? Are we OK with the terrible quality of products and goods that we produce and pass along to the consumer or customer? The fact that we as providers do not put our foot down and say no, we will not sell an inferior product because we have to stand behind it. When it fails, and it will, we look bad too.I know at Tingey Plumbing & Heating we make that choice all the time. There are products that we will not carry from certain manufacturers because of the quality. What would happen if more companies would take that stand? My second question; does customer service even exist anymore? My answer is simple when dealing with Henry Day Ford. Not only no, but absolutely, without question no. We received one phone call from the service advisor to tell us the engine was gone, and when dissatisfaction was expressed, it was implied that it happens frequently. I have made the balance of the phone calls to try to resolve this massive financial disaster to our company with the service manager and he has never attempted to call me back, or give me a realistic resolution to solve the problem. Their answer was bringing the bill down from $21,000.00 to $16,000.00.In the meantime we had placed a call to Ford Motor Company to lodge a complaint and were given a confirmation number and were told someone from Ford Motor Company would call us back. We waited and waited and waited. Meanwhile we have a truck that is not on the road and a technician that does not have his truck to work out of. After a week we called Ford Motor Company back to be told we needed to call the service manager at Henry Day Ford. We took the truck to a different dealer to get a second opinion. We took it to Ken Garff (next door to Henry Day Ford), who has a Ford trained master mechanic that looked at the problem. At first inspection they thought it was a different problem and quoted us $6,300.00 dollars to repair it and when I asked if it was in fact the engine would they still charge us, I was told yes. This is where the huge difference in customer service comes in.Their mechanic decided to use a borescope and look at the cylinders to make sure their diagnosis was correct and he found out the truck had indeed lost two cylinders. Ken Garff then quoted after several calls to us to try to resolve the problem $13,999.00 to replace the engine. Great customer service from Ken Garff. When I called the service manager at Henry Day Ford in an attempt to get help from Ford Motor Company or Henry Day Ford, I was told by the service manager they do not build the trucks so do not take it out on them. He told me that they were not making any money on the engine replacement and that the other dealer could not possibly replace the engine for that price. I asked him if he had even called Ford Motor Company to see if they would do anything and he said no. He expressed over and over again how it would not be fair to him for me to write any bad reviews as they do not build the vehicle.I asked him to call Ford Motor Company and he said he could call the territorial manager and said he would get back to me... he never did. Its been over a week. It appears to me the customer service that Henry Day Ford gives, is to itself, they are more concerned about customers being fair to them than taking care of a serious defect in a diesel truck that is 6 years old with 100,499 miles on it. Yes Henry Day Ford, I know that you do not build the truck but you represent the company and honestly, I have had more customer service in the airport security line in LA, although the wait is about the same, deathly slow or non-existent. Which brings me to the question again, is customer service extinct? I know that in a majority of companies it is, but there are some that still believe that customer service is a top priority. I know that it makes a difference in our customers because they tell us that it does. Why should they settle for mediocrity? Why should any of us? I know that I will never buy another Ford product again; I will never go to Henry Day Ford again. I will not give money to a company that demonstrates a severe lack of quality in addition to an incredible lack of customer service. Can we make a difference? Yes we can if enough people cry out. You either listen to them and respond or you ignore them and hope they go away before you do. Eventually they go away because customer service sets you apart from others who provide the same product.

I have been a Ford truck for for many years. 7.3s 460s, etc. I have been told to stay away from 6.0 Fords. Since my background includes being a Master Auto and Truck Technician. I have been working mainly on customers vehicles. My personal experience started when I was in the market for a parts truck with a 6.0. I bought a theft recovery low miles 2006 F350 Lariat that was ransacked, stripped and ditched off road. I bought it for $2500. After feeling sorry for that poor thing, Ive decided to rebuild it with parts that was just sitting in my possession. After extensive repairing of chopped wiring harnesses, replacing of missing parts and having it recertified and then upgrading with EGR delete, programmer, cooling system low temp modifications, upgraded turbo and servicing with premium fluids. Adding 1 quart of ATF at every fillup. Fast forward 30k miles and 3 yrs of use. This is the best Ford I owned. It even runs better than my 05 Ram 3500 Cummins (48re transmission is nowhere close to the Fords 5r110).

I have had no serious issues with this truck since I bought it 10 years ago. Tonight, it burst into flames and I looked up on spontaneous combustion on Ford trucks on a whim and find this a pretty common occurrence. This car started off my dream car. I moved from Louisiana to California about 4 years ago and the troubles began. Apparently the car cannot handle the hills and inclines of San Diego. About a year after moving here I started having a slight thud after putting far in reverse. My husband said I just needed to let the motor wind down before putting in drive. It wasnt an everyday all the time problem. Just intermittent then last year it began to shut off on me going down the road. I would stop at a stop sign or red light and the car literally would crawl then hard bang and take off. The problems got more frequent and worse. I was involved in a frontal collision doing about 30 miles an hour, enough to send the other car that ran the red light into a 360 turn and not one air bag in the car went off. $13000.00 dollars worth of damage to the front end of my car and not one air bag inflated. Thank god we were all buckled up. After the accident I drove the car for about 2 weeks before the car literally sounded like it was grinding rocks, transmission slipping severely and I was afraid to drive it. I take it into the local Ford dealership and after having it for 2 days I get a call saying they cant figure it out. 10 minutes later they call and say its ready. I get there and Im told you need a new transmission. $5700 for a transmission that apparently has some defects from all of the other people Ive read complaining having the same issues! Ford should be ashamed for putting a transmission in a family car that is potentially unsafe and unreliable. Beware when buying one of these.

Well I think if you buy a 20,000 dollar or more vehicle from Ford you should at least be able to get a gas cap. I wont be buying another vehicle like this and I will let the thousand of people I work with know how Ford is too cheap to put a fuel cap on its trucks and they want everybody who buys a truck to buy their own cap. Something needs to be done about this. I will not purchase a fuel cap from Ford. It should have came with the truck. If something happens to my truck I will get an attorney and take this up the manufacturer. This is asinine. I have a 2012 Ford F350 with 59,300 miles on it. The first transmission service is due at 60,000 miles so I took it to Spradley Barr Ford in Colorado. They advised me that all I needed to do was flush the system and NOT drop the pan to change the filter, that is not needed until the next service at 120,000 miles according to them. I said I wanted the filter changed for an additional $ 120.00 or so. Good thing I did because they found a bunch of metal in the pan. They are covering it under warranty, however they have had my WORK truck for TWO MONTHS and four days now due to a back ordered part. They have told me THREE times that it will be in soon, what a bunch of crap. Ford has rebuilt transmissions in crates available but they just said Too bad. So sad for you. You can wait. Ford is useless and has no customer service in mind. Previously I had a 2002 Ford F350 diesel for fourteen years (2002-2016), I guess Ford loyalty is in the trash. The dealer even said Ford is not supporting the dealerships, WOW what a statement. If I EVER get my truck back it will be sold ASAP and off to Chevy I go. Furthermore I called their customer service line (a misnomer at best) and what does Ford do? They send you a questionnaire that asks if the call taker was polite, helpful etc... Nothing about what is going on, nor did I receive a call or Email about it - poof its just gone. Ford has lost all concept of customer service. Good riddance Ford.

My 2001 Mercury Sable LS had two broken coil springs in the rear and my wife was commuting with my daughter in the car. I noticed the sag and took it into the shop and told me that if I had waited any longer, she would have had an accident because the spring had corkscrewed a few inches from the inside sidewall! Ford would not cover it, even though it is a defect in metal and quality. It cost me $700 to replace rear suspension. Then my cars front tires were wearing unevenly, so I brought it to the tire shop to have it balanced and rotated. I asked the technician what he noticed and said the tires were wearing a little weird. I already knew I had a problem from there. I brought it to a reputable local front end shop and they found broken springs in the front! I called Ford to complain and they said that there was an extended customer courtesy on the front springs 10 years or 140K, but I did not qualify any longer - 80K on the car but a year too late. I said, “NHSTA says it’s a safety hazard, so I dont understand why you would not be interested in taking care of your customers and their families?” The rep. repeated the same speech and said the engineers often review these reports and could address this again in the future. So now, Im stuck with another suspension bill. This is why people leave the brand, a little help builds loyalty.

I have two recalls on my 2013 Fusion. I asked the dealership and customer service if I would be provided a loaner car if the repair took more than four hours. I was told that Ford does not provide loaners for either recall. This is totally unacceptable. Ford has sold me a defective vehicle and now to add insult to injury, they are telling me it is my responsibility to provide transportation for myself due to this defective vehicle. I am paying a car note to drive a vehicle, now I will either have to pay for a rental or inconvenience someone else and pay them for their gas. How does Ford think I should be responsible for additional costs because they sold me a defective product? I have informed the dealership and customer service that I will never purchase another Ford product because of this.

First gas mileage, was told it would get 28-30 mpg, actual gas mileage was 22.8 mpg. The radiator fans went out at less than 10k miles, under warranty ford fixed the fan. I was in Houston and live 120 miles away, would not give a rental car. I own a chevrolet and the dealer in louisiana always provided a rental with warranty work. Now my door ajar light in on and they say the switch is bad. There are no recalls on it, but people are trying to get it recalled. It has happened so much. Now it has 44k miles and it will have to be fixed out of my pocket. I have extended warranty but it is 250 ded.

I am 62 years old and I have been driving Ford products for the last 40 years. I have purchased several new vehicles from Ford and not had any problems until I recently purchased a 2018 Ford F-150 with a 302 V-8 August 21, 2018 from Cook Ford in Texas City, Texas. The next day the ac went out. The front bumper was mounted crooked. It was almost 2 inches higher on one side than the other. The Texas edition emblem on the tailgate was installed crooked. The door dampener on the driver side pops when you open and close the door. The engine idles very rough. There is a slight knocking noise coming from the motor when idling in park. I have never purchased a new vehicle with this many problems. The 10 speed transmission does not shift smooth at all.I have just over 8000 miles on this truck and this is the worst experience I have ever had with a Ford vehicle. I have always encouraged my children to purchase Ford products until now. I have been thinking about getting rid of this vehicle and switching to another brand. It seems as if the quality control for Ford Motor Company does not exist like it was. Think twice before you purchase a Ford product.

The rear strut bracket has rusted off, this is a safety issue common to this model. Replacement fender was $200.34, two weeks later it was $800.00. Ford said individual dealer prices for parts and service will vary. Therefore, we are unable to assist you, it must be resolved between you and the dealership. This should be a factory safety recall.

I believe someone may have tried to break in my 2015 Explorer. I never realized that my door handle was plastic. All it took was a screwdriver to break it. Fortunately they were scared away. Otherwise they could have pried the lock and got into my vehicle. This handle is used on 2011 - 2017 models, part number 78218A14. This piece of plastic cost $68.50 plus tax. It is poorly made. They wanted a fortune to install it so we are taking it to a body shop who will install it for $30. Be aware that they change prices on you from one day to the next. We were quoted $68.50 on Friday and then on Tuesday they wanted $75. Ford used to be my favorite car manufacturer, but is not anymore. This vehicle has a lousy paint job that Ford would not stand behind, issues with the battery, and seat belt problems.

I own two Ford vehicles, a F350 Ford diesel King ranch 2016 and a 2018 Ford explorer Platinum two of Fords top of the line vehicles. The Ford explorer third row electric seat began having issues within the warranty period at 21k miles and within 1 month of the vehicle warranty expiration. Just a couple of weeks after the expiration of the 36th month warranty but well within the 36k mile warranty (25k miles on The vehicle) third row seat would no longer operate (only having been used a few times). One of the main reasons we purchased the vehicle was for the third row seat for our grandchildren. After several trips to two different dealerships it was determined that the wire harness would need to be replaced and in order to do that apparently much of the vehicle needs to be disassembled. A very significant effort and expense to repair. I felt surely Ford would stand behind me and rectified what was clearly a defective mechanism. After several months of back and forth and Ford stringing me along ultimately they would not provide ANY assistance. Worse multiple requests for them to provide that decision in writing were simply ignored. I have never been so appalled at a major corporations lack of professionalism in handling a customer service issue. My experience with them has left me realizing that FORD is a two-bit company not interested in customer service or standing behind their product. FORD NEVER AGAIN.

I have had over 5 Ford vehicles in my lifetime and owned 3 within the last
I have had over 5 Ford vehicles in my lifetime and owned 3 within the last 5 years. However, that will change after this ordeal. Summer of 2018 Ive purchased a 2018 Mustang GT. Very nice car, good performance, all that I needed, right? Wrong! Around 7K miles, shifting from one gear to another became difficult. So I took it over to dealership where I purchased at for them to honor the warranty. They did but it took nearly two months for them to complete due various reasons. So I contacted the Ford company itself to see if could help me in some way to compensate me for the loss of use as well as a form of guarantee that the vehicle could go on for many miles more and years to come.At first, the initial Ford rep was very responsive and willing to provide several solutions to my issue. Therefore, he escalated to the regional rep within Maryland. The Maryland rep was the total opposite, she was belligerent, refusing to offer even the least bit of assistance. She went on to make it appear the fault of someone hitting me in the back (Which was a minor accident) for which was not concluded to cause the transmission issue. The issue concerned an inferior part which had to be replaced. I graduated with a degree in Automotive Technology so I clearly understood that it was a failure in the shift fork which slide the release bearing back and forth on the input shaft, thus engaging of disengaging the clutch and flywheel connected to the pressure plate! It would have to be a severe accident which would have to somehow dislodge the engine and transmission bell housing to disturb that specific internal part!!Although, I have some unresolved issues with the dealership, they did a good job with the repair as far as I can tell so far. However, when one drops nearly $45k on a car they dont expect it to fail two months later in such a huge way which requires a complete teardown. So with all this said, Im going back to Chevy and Nissan for now on.

I bought a Ford Fiesta in October 2012. It was a 2013 model. At 7000 miles, my problems started. First, my transmission started to stick; my car was out of service for 9-10 days. A day or two later, it overheated, so I had to get it towed. After complaining to AutoNation, they were not forthcoming with a customer service number for me to call and complain. Finally, after emailing and calling around, I got the number to the corporate office customer service. They went to the dealership to make sure everything was being handled. I received a maintenance plan for my trouble. A few hundred miles later, my car overheated again. By this time, I moved to Orlando. I took my car into Greenway Ford. They had to order an oil cooler; it took Fri- Mon. So far, I have had this car in service for 15-16 days. So, I filed a complaint with BBB Auto Line. Consumer Affairs called and I told them what has been going on with this car and its not safe. I picked up my car from Greenway and attempted to drive to Miami. Halfway there, the warning light came on: ENGINE MALFUNCTION, SERVICE NOW! I was horrified. I pulled over and attempted to call Ford Consumer Affairs, with no luck. It went to voice mail and I left a message. I called Customer Service and they said they could not help me because my complaint is in Consumer Affairs. So, at this point, I have to take the car in to Metro Ford in the morning. God only knows whats wrong with that car.

During warranty, wheel nuts was damage in a year, but they said its not covered so end up paying $200 or so. Steering coating started peeling out but again it was under warranty so was covered. Now after 3 years, DVD player and Bluetooth stop working again. Dear says its not under warranty even though I explained them that issue was incurred within 2 years. Called Ford customer service head office but found they are useless. I strongly feel that their vehicle and customer services both are sucks.

They said it will be 120$ a hour to fix. What the hell. No thanks and then I got home later on on and without warning or light on the dash my coolant starts bubbling so hot the reservoir spews on my driveway... Second time it has done that almost and could easily start a fire, Im wondering is that what the recall is for? And what else can I do about it. Im pretty choked and think there should be more done about this? Anyways if anyone has any input or experience the same and has some experience to not happen again that be great. Thank you.

Before I retired we purchased a new 2014 Ford Edge. At 32,000 miles and 3 years old we had paint bubbling on the passenger side rear door where the door skin is crimped around the door shell. I took it to our local Ford dealership and it was scheduled in the body shop for a repair. Once completed it looked great. However, being a mechanic and building and painting street rods, I feared the corrosion would return. I voiced my concerns and was told the repair was guaranteed. At 39,000 miles and less than a year I returned to the dealership with more corrosion than ever. The dealership took photos and submitted them to Ford who denied any warranty. I contacted Ford and was told it had to have rust holes to be covered. Im so picky with my vehicles. I was furious. This was the first new Ford product I have purchased only because my wife wanted it. I am a 60 year old long time GM man. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER NEW FORD PRODUCT!!!

I own a 97 F150 ext cab 4x4 4.6. This truck has been very reliable for years; it had an engine replacement a few years back. Three and a half weeks ago, I traded in my other F150 truck that was a 2006 with a 5.4 (not too good on fuel). Now, having a more economic vehicle, I havent driven the 97 in at least three weeks. On Thursday evening, I started the truck, let it run for 20 minutes (just to ensure the battery stayed charged), shut it off, had dinner and then went to bed about 9:30 and the truck was good then. I had to be into work early on Friday morning. We have had a lot of rain in recent weeks and I thought I may have to work outside. I grabbed my rain jacket from the back seat of my 97 truck at 3 am. On my way to work, the truck seemed good at that time (no burning smells). At 5:30 am, my wife called me at work to tell me that my truck was on fire in the driveway and caught the garage and house on fire. Luckily too, our wonderful neighbor that happened to wake up and look out their window had seen the blazing fire and woke up my family and got them out of the home. The neighbor also called 911 at that time. The local fire dept. also needs recognition to quick response. Had they been 20 minutes later, I think I would have lost my home and all of my garage. The truck is a total loss with melted radiator, hood, plenum, and all aluminum parts. The truck had a lift, tonneau cover and $1800 in tire and wheels are all gone. All the glass and interior is completely gone as well. Of course, the truck is paid for. It only had liability insurance and home insurance doesnt cover the vehicle. Im not sure how to proceed. After reading all the other posting, it is evident that there is an issue and Ford is very aware and is turning a blind eye to the problem. I am having a fire investigator look at the fire. I guess we will see what their thoughts are about fire and Fords ongoing issue.

Timing chain issues. Quotes from 2500 to 3500 to repair. Very poor design for many year models. Ford should be ashamed for not taking care of such a major problem. I purchased my Ford F450 Platinum (6.7 diesel fuel system) new. I have had this truck serviced at great expense since it was new and usually ahead of schedule. If ford service said it needed something I did it. If Ford service said it might need something I did it. I am now at 87k miles and had my High Pressure Fuel system go out. Ford dealer is telling me 10K dollars. Telling me I have purchased bad fuel but when they took a fuel sample there was no water in the fuel. So now Ford wont stand good for their product, the insurance probably wont pay for it because there is no evidence of contamination, and that leaves one option. I am going to be out 10K dollars. I just traded it in thinking I would try a foreign car to take advantage of the mileage that they advertise so I traded it in for a 2017 Kia Optima. Ive had this car for less than 2 months and it has given me nothing but trouble (electrical/engine related). Its been in the shop for 2 weeks now and I havent heard any updates from the service manager as to when itll be fixed, or what the problems are with it. Ive dealt with the roadside assistance, the service center, the corporate office and of course the dealership and Ive been sorely disappointed with every aspect of Kias customer service. Ive been treated like a number and told that if Im unsatisfied with the vehicle that I should wrap it around a tree and get something else. Im never purchasing from Kia again... I bought the Ford Sport Trac new in MAY 2010. I had all the scheduled dealer maintenance completed as scheduled and the vehicle has never been off road. The four-wheel drive has been engaged twice, and the majority of the miles have been on the highway. Thirty miles from FT Leonard Wood the transmission began slipping. The vehicle was sluggish when accelerating from a stopped position causing a hazard in city driving or merging onto the interstate. The vibration increased on the highway at speeds above 50 MPH making it difficult to steer. When I arrived at my destination, I dropped it at the dealership the next day for service. The service representative called and informed 2 maintenance lights were on for engine and transmission service. I agreed to move forward with the scheduled maintenance. The dealership called later that day and informed me I needed a new transmission but could not explain what the codes meant or the cost of repair. I asked for clarification, but no one ever got back to me with an update. I received a text my truck was ready for pick up, but the staff could not explain the problem. I am now at day seven and after countless phone calls to the dealership and Ford customer service line. No one can explain the issue or offer assistance because the vehicle is not under warranty! My questions. Why is the transmission shot after only 37,000 miles? If it is replaced, what reassurance do I have this problem will not reoccur in another 37,000 miles? Is there assistance for a drive train component replacement that is supposed to last 100,000 miles and likely defective? Why is this a warranty issue and not a quality issue? The staff at the Ford customer service center try to keep bouncing back to the dealership and refuse to put me in contact with the regional manager or supervision staff. I finally got a call and they offered to replace the transmission for $5,000. Told me I could take it or leave it.

The car has 17250 miles on it, its 2014 Fiesta Titanium. I have been having transmission problems. Shuddering, shaking, jerking, jolting, sudden or delayed acceleration have all been problems. Low speeds seem to be an issue with it. It seems to shudder in between 1st and 2nd gears. I also have had it stall while in reverse. I have taken it to the Ford dealership, they are aware of the issue, have had multiple complaints, and said they would reprogram the software to make the shift changes more smooth. It is still exhibiting the same issues - harsh shuddering, gears slipping, clicking and noises. Its just a matter of time before this vehicle kills someone. I wasnt told that this car would operate any differently than any other car. The dealership says that all of these symptoms are normal for the kind of transmission that they sold me and that its still safe to drive. Even when I took it in to get reprogrammed for the shuddering, the technician said that its still going to do it. What?! It wasnt doing it before and now you want me to deal with a shuddering vehicle? And you say you still cant fix it? Thats terrible. Ive owned Fords all my life and this is my first new car and I feel like Ive made a terrible decision and its barely got 20,000 miles on it. More importantly, the safety. Ive had more than one close call with trying to accelerate and the transmission not responding in enough time to get out of the way. Operates unlike any other vehicle Ive owned and not in a good way.

I leased a Ford Fusion 2013 for my son and it had some damage to the front end. I took the car in to my body shop and completed the repairs. I turned in the vehicle on same day I picked up from the Body shop. Two weeks later Ford says I owe 1900 dollars for excess wear. I challenged their assertion by requesting to inspect the damage. Ford said that the car was not available for inspection. When I told them that I had it repaired prior to turning it in and would rather buy it than pay 2000.00 dollars they replied that its not an option but would give me credit for the repairs. My question to them was simple. Why could you give me credit for a repair that you claim I did not do. They are not able to answer this and honestly, Ill rely on my dealership statement that the outside company tries to collect as much as they can to validate their existence. I will pledge that Never again. I will never buy or lease a ford again. I have a 2010 XLT with the paint blistering down to bare metal on both sides of the truck. (pictures attached) I am seeing this on many of the trucks of this vintage in my town and they all look very similar. Ford wont do anything about this unless there is a perforation right through. This is clearly related to the paint not being prepped properly. I also had to have the bonnet on this truck painted after 6 months after buying it new because it was blistering behind the edge of the grill. I had a 1998 xlt with 300K on it and I drove it until 2010. The driving conditions were exactly the same and the paint had no issues. I had a guy at Ford tell me on the QT that some people are drilling holes in the problem area and letting it rust to get around Fords policy and fix it. I didnt want to do this so I talked to the dealer, contacted national reps from the US and Canada on this forum.... Big fat nothing.So... after 24 straight years of driving nothing but Ford trucks my new Ram will be here on Friday. IMO Fords quality has gone down and their policy on paint sucks. Sour grapes, you bet!!! Please reply if you have paint problems. I think this is a widespread problem Ford should be dealing with. Get out your drills boys if you want this fixed.

My 2019 F150 4X4 Supercrew has 1200 miles on it and was purchased July 1, 2018. The drivers side door makes a loud cracking noise when opened or closed. It started out of nowhere approx 2 days ago. I’ve only driven it about 15 times. I took it to the dealer, Pompano Ford, and 2 service techs and a body shop tech looked at. The 2 service techs said it might need to be lubricated, but the body shop tech said the black hinge was faulty and needed to be replaced. It’s difficult to tell if the noise is coming from the part of the hinge that’s connected to the door, or the part that is connected to the body. He said the door has to be taken off to replace it. I asked him if the door would be put back on the way it was new, he stated he couldn’t guarantee it would be exact, but may be slightly off after the repair. They did not have the part, but would contact me when the part arrived.

However, if you somehow get both keys set as MyKey, there is nothing undo feature that the customer can do, except take the car to the dealership, and pay between $150 and $300 dollars to have this reset. I called Ford consumer complaints and asked them to pay for this, since their faulty system caused the problem, and was told no, and there was no one else to talk to at Ford to get this done. It is way too easy to do this by mistake, and then you are locked out of your enjoyment and use of the car you purchased. Basically, a Ford customer is not worth $150 to keep them happy. My 17 Chevy Impala (and countless other cars I see driving by me) had no problem. So I call Ford Roadside Assistance at 11am. Yes, Im in the comfort of my home, not stranded on the side of the highway, but... I have ** to do! They said, No problem, busy day, but well have someone there within THREE hours. Ok. I get it. Lots of people in worse shape than me. Three hours comes and goes, no calls, no updates, and most importantly, no Roadside Assistance. I call again. The advisor says I see you called earlier, what can I help you with. I said, Its been three hours, no roadside assistance. He says we have no record that you called. Say what? You knew I called earlier... It wasnt to see how the weather was in ARIZONA! We will send someone, they will be there within THREE HOURS (its now 2pm). Ok. THREE hours later, nada, no calls, no updates, no Roadside Assistance. So I called the local dealership. Yep, they are really busy. Let me call them to see whats going on. Roger. He calls back someone cancelled the dispatch at 4:03pm. Say what? So, the first tow company, the one that never showed up, must have cancelled so it wouldnt show in the system that they would have been, like, FOUR hours late??? By this time (6pm, 7 hours after the initial call) we decided we needed to concentrate on one of our four activities of daily living, eating. After sitting in the driveway for 7 hours on a battery charger, the 6 month old baby decided to turn over. I called the towing company that the dealer dispatched and told them we had had enough for the night, and no longer needed a tow. Today, the day after, we received a call from Ford Roadside Assistance saying that a tow truck is on the way. We called back and said the tow is not necessary. They called again. And again, and again. And again. Five calls either telling us a tow truck is en route or asking if we needed a tow. Pretty disorganized that bunch!

In June 2015 I ordered a brand-new Ford F-150 in a color that they charge extra for. OK fine. I took delivery of the vehicle, and a week later, while handwashing it, I noticed that it was a big glob of something on the roof, a giant swirl on the left front hood, and the tailgate is half shiny and half dull. iPhone the salesman, and he directed me to the dealers body shop. The body shop only addressed the roof, as they said the other two imperfections were not visible to their eyes. The customer is always right remember? Anyway, when I got the truck back I looked at it and it seemed fine. About an hour later a friend and I both climbed into the bed and looked at the roof because it had become very bright and sunny out. There were dozens of air bubble over the river. I called the body shop and brought it back in. It was at this time that a body shop manager told me the history of my new truck. He said that The paint sprayers at the Ford Dearborn truck plant had malfunctioned at the time my truck was being painted. He went on to say, that the truck was tag and set aside for repaint, but someone removed the tag and shipped it. Ford KNOWINGLY SHIPPED my truck with DEFECTIVE paint!!! I WAS LIVID!!! After my truck was given back to me, I drove away in tears. Again I waited for it to be very sunny, and I looked at it again. Only this time my roof which should be one sheet shiny paint, had buff marks which resembled sandpaper being used all over the roof. I was sick and furious!!! I went back a third time and was met by the body shop manager and another man. I spoke up again about my outrage at the plant knowingly shipped my truck with the fact of paint. The body shop manager said to me, I probably shouldnt of told you that, and the other man nodded his head in agreement. They stood on stool and looked at my roof. It had rained that morning, so there was dust on my roof. The unnamed man said he couldnt see a problem, so I gently with my finger and started wiping off some of the dirt. He said, it cant be that noticeable if you have to let your finger to see it. He left, and I stayed to speak to the body shop manager. I asked him who that rude man was so belittled me, and he said, The dealership owner. That man didnt even have the courtesy of introducing himself. Yes I purchased a $45,000 truck from him. Seriously? I offered to have my truck shipped back to the plant to have it factory-painted like I ordered and paid for. I am now stuck making payments for the next six years on a brand-new F-150 with a ** paint job. This is not what I ordered, and paid for. My truck was to have factory paint.

In 2005 my husband I purchased a 2000 Ford Windstar with 95,000 miles on it. Keep good upkeep on it. Blew a head gasket, as did two friends who owned Windstars. Owned a 1989 Areostar, motor blew. Bought 1999 Aerostar, lots of issues. Bought a 2005 Ford Taurus this past Nov. Rear suspension problems, left rear body was rubbing the tire. Had the struts replaced on both rear, but the left is still rubbing the tire on even small bumps so, I guess we will be replacing the springs. Any time I slow down on the highway, I cant get back to speed fast all all. It bogs down. If I press more on the gas it chugs like it going to die. Have to gradually pick up speed then I feel it kick in and go, then its fine til I have to slow down again. In town it sputters and chugs, surges. I bought this car thinking it would be safer than the 99 Aerostar...but I am scared in both vehicles now. Throwing money into them left and right. I know old cars are gonna have problems but this is unreal. I am still paying the 05 Taurus off. I keep saying each time we go get a new vehicle, I am not ever buying another Ford, I want a Chevy. But it is hard to find lower priced Chevys used because people seem to keep them forever. Fords are everywhere, so I keep buying other peoples headaches. Now I must replace all the springs on the 05, in fear of killing my grandson that is only 4 years old. I have finally established credit with my bank on this one and as soon as its paid off, Im getting a loan for a Chevy that I know I can trust and getting rid of this headache. Never a Ford again! Its pretty sad that I have a 96 Old Cutlass that I hit a big pregnant black angus at night at 65 miles per hour and still runs and drives better than any of the others.

My overall experience with my Mercury Mariner is really good. I havent had any problems with it and I bought it used one year ago. Its a 2006 and I love it. Its dependable and its easy to drive. I like all the features it comes with too! I like the sunroof, the radio/cd player and it allows you to place several CDs in it at one time. It has automatic windows and theyre tinted which is also a plus. I also like that it has good working air conditioning and the heat works good as well. The front seats have a button to heat them which is very nice to have on extra cold days. I would like it to have a GPS system but it doesnt. I could always add one but other than that, I dont have anything that I dislike about it. I would like it if the window tint was a little bit darker but I can always get that done.

ETA on repairing their FACTORY-WARRANTIED transmission is 2+ months. Why? Because the parts they need are backordered throughout the world. THATS how bad this problem is! The kicker? THEY REFUSE TO EVEN GIVE ME A LOANER. I have called every Ford number, every person, every dealer, complained (respectfully, never belligerent) as high as I can possibly go. They refuse to help. I was asleep and my husband took our son to school which is a mile away. He gets home and starts to get ready for work and someone came to our door to tell us his truck was on fire. He went outside, turned on hose and called 911. We had to evacuate our kids and animals to the backyard. My brother’s motorcycle which was parked next to the truck also caught fire. Melted our garage door and luckily firemen got here before it hit our house. This is insane and Ford should take responsibility for this as it could have killed someone or caught our home on fire.

Purchased a 2018 Mustang GT. 6 speed, manual. I noticed transmission failure about 6,000 to 7000 miles. Took it to two different Ford dealers because the first Ford dealer tried to charge me. The second Ford dealer did the work and did it under warranty but advised me but if it happened again it would be coming out of my pocket regardless of my warranties. Very nice car but warning you will be spending more money on it even though you have a warranty and it is a brand new car. Good luck.

While shopping for a vehicle at Viva Ford North Desert Blvd, El Paso TX, I
While shopping for a vehicle at Viva Ford North Desert Blvd, El Paso TX, I experienced a total lack of integrity by a salesman and management. The salesman I corresponded with was nice at first as we discussed my purchasing a used vehicle. The vehicle had a knocking noise in the rear but the salesman said the shop mechanics would find out what it was and let me know. I then agreed to purchase the vehicle for $11K contingent on the noise being fixed. They wrote up the deal with all the costs. I explained I would be out of town for a week and wanted to put money down to lock in the sale. The salesman said management would not allow me to put money down on the vehicle until they fixed the noise, but assured me the vehicle is yours and that they would keep it off the sales lot. After continuing to refuse to take a down payment they would only allow me to take picture of the write up, all while assuring me they would not sell the vehicle and that we had a deal. During the week that I was out of town the salesman called to let me know the noise was fixed. I asked him how much I could put down on the vehicle, to which he responded he had to ask his manager, but would call me back. After two days went by with no return call, I called the salesman with no answer so I left a voicemail asking him to return my call. He never returned this call either. After returning to town I went directly to the dealership from the plane to pick up the vehicle. The salesman informed me that he was called out of town for a family emergency and the vehicle was sold. I responded with we had a deal written on paper and that he assured me the vehicle was mine and no longer on the sales lot! The salesman said some other buyer paid $13K ($2K more than my deal) so they sold the vehicle. Then the salesman had the nerve to say, well I have other vehicles available. This location obviously deceived me and is more interested in making money than being honest with their customers.

I own a 2006 Ford LCF truck purchased May 2007 cost $32,000.00. But after 7 years and 46000 miles, the repair and tow cost me over $17,000.00. Nov. 2009, mileage 19419 - replace starter and belt tensioner $1,600.00. Dec 2011, mileage 34983 - replace 2 fuel injector, main computer, cam sensor, crank sensor, $2,772.45. After talked to customer service the bill is $5,400.00. Dec 2013, mileage 46000 - replace all (6) fuel injector, $3,31.37 and oil pump $1,956.10. The truck still not fixed right. Then I brought the truck to a Ford dealer in **. They said there is another repair needs to be done. The fuel tank and whole fuel system is contaminate - will cost me $3,500.00 because the lining of the tank is contaminated and Ford Corp knows about this defect parts and doing nothing. I talked the person in charge of the commercial truck department. They said it is true about the tank, but they also say it is the oil company.

I went to the Ford Credit website on January 9th to make January payment due January 7. After making payment, I checked the box to extract payments automatically on the due date heretofore, thinking that this would start in February. Apparently by checking that box, my payment was not applied to January. There is no smart feature on that site that applies the funds to the last payment due and no payment was made until February 7, skipping January. I did not notice this and on March 2, I received a robo-call stating that my account was seriously delinquent and to call Ford Credit ASAP. This came as a total surprise to me.I spoke to a very helpful rep named Windy, who read the situation clearly, but also told me that my account was reported delinquent to the credit bureaus. She understood what happened and it was obvious that I didnt check in on January 9 for any reason other than to make payment. She referred it to a supervisor. Over the next week, I spoke to 3 more reps and 2 supervisors. They told me that I should give it 30 days. Today Im at 30 days and dealt with two people this morning who were completely unsympathetic to my issue and kept reading me the rules. My contention that the system should be programmed to apply payment to the last payment due was met with deaf ears and was told that even after submitting written complaints electronically, that they must be written in pen and ink to be considered for reversal.I have invested at least 8 hours with this company to resolve an issue that was triggered by software that is programmed by them. Hence an internal Ford issue. This can easily be resolved by a company that actually values its customers. I had a similar technical issue with BMW a few years back and it was resolved efficiently and with great courtesy. Within 3 days I received a letter of reversal from them and all three credit bureaus were notified. Ford apparently has a banking arm that is way behind virtually every other I have dealt with regard to treating its customers fairly. I will continue this pursuit to clear my credit. I will never buy another Ford product again.

I am very upset to the point where I am in the midst of contacting the Better Business Bureau and posting a blog online regarding your company lack of integrity and manner of doing business. In November, my 2010 Ford Edge which is currently financed through your company caught on fire due to an ABS issue. I bought the vehicle as a used vehicle in 2013. I contacted my local dealership to report the problem. It took them 7 days before someone contacted me regarding a diagnosis of the problem. The car was towed but someone failed to address the issue. I was initially told it was my issue. Coincidentally, I went online and found out that that there was an issue and there was a recall at which point someone decided that they will look into the matter. The service department decided that they would begin repair on the vehicle. I was given a rental while the repair were to be done.First, the service repair advisor was incompetent as I had been calling everyday to get a status of the vehicle and each time I was told that they are working on it or the parts was not in. Your record would also reflect every time I made a phone call and spoke to someone, even calls made to your corporate headquarters. I was even assured that because of the situation everything would be handled. What I fail to understand that why it took almost 5 weeks for a part to come in. Its a Ford vehicle part, should be readily accessible. It is not an older model vehicle so what was the issue here? Here is where I am really pissed off with this whole situation. My mom went in today to get her vehicle oil changed. Note, hers is 2014 Edge as well. I relayed my concern to her and she decided to find out exactly what was going on. Ironically, what my mom was told that is the they can pick the car up today. How coincidental? She asked about the rental and was told that they were only covered for 10 days. Well, that is not acceptable or reasonable. We had no control on how long it would have taken to repair the vehicle. Why should we be penalized with a $1500.00 bill when nothing that occurred was within our control. Ford Motor Company was in total control of this situation from beginning to end and we are now receiving the ** end of this situation by being held hostage to pay a $1500.00 rental bill which I dont have especially this time of the year.Your local dealership was less than accommodating and did nothing within their power to expedite the repair of the vehicle. This was I believe the company did in order to recoup the cost of repairing the vehicle. They held on to the vehicle for as long as they could. The prolonged the process, which increased the cost of the rental, which was deceitful and as unprofessional. Your company is not a small mom and pop repair shop. You are a major company and should have pride and integrity in the way you do business. My mom has been a valued Ford customer for over 20 years. Every vehicle she has ever owned was a Ford vehicle. This has left us and her very dissatisfied with your company and your business practice. I still feels that we can come to some amicable agreement. As I said before, I am between a rock and a hard place as I have no other choice because I will need my vehicle especially since I am one vehicle home currently since I also I have another Ford vehicle that is also down because of needed repairs.I close with this statement - I am a very unhappy and dissatisfied customer. I am also not going to roll over and let this slide. Based on how this turns on it is my intent to take further action on this matter. I do intend to post pictures on the Internet of the vehicle. It may cost me $1500.00 but in the long run when I am done it will cost the company more based on reviews I will post online and providing feedback and reviews for this vehicle and your company as a whole. Looking forward to hearing from you. I would rate lower than a 1 star. Unfortunately it does not go lower than a 1.

The car rolls backwards, shakes, doesnt want to accelerate and more. Ford wont stand behind the customers because all they are focused on is capital. Eventually ford will end themselves with poor quality vehicles and exceptionally terrible service. Never in my life would I have thought a company would be capable of both. Get it together please. I bought a 2016 F-150 and absolutely loved it! My issue is not with the truck itself, but with the lack of customer service from the dealer all the way to Ford Credit. I would have Ford do the regular maintenance on the truck and with that regular maintenance came regular frustration. When told that it would be ready at a certain time they never delivered. When you call to ask when it would be ready, no one had an answer. Due to financial situation and wanting to help my parents out, I sold my truck. Not because I wanted to, but because it had to be done. When trying to process the paper work at local Ford deal, they were more worried about eating chips and salsa in the manager’s office instead of getting things finalized and me out the door. After 2 hours they finally had me sign the little amount of paperwork I needed and I was out the door. I was told that the reimbursement check for the over pay would be in my mail in 3-4 weeks. After numerous conversations with Ford Credit CS, and 7 week of waiting, theyve decided to stop payment and reissue the check. Did they offer to expedite it, or send it with a tracking number? No... I loved my truck… It reminded me of the summers I got to spend with my grandfather riding around in his. However, I believe the price you pay for a product should represent the quality of their customer service as well. Ford, your customer service in all departments needs to be improved. You put a high price on your vehicles, your customer service should be better equipped, better trained, and better ready to serve the people that buy your vehicles. Based on my CS experience with Ford, I doubt I will be back to get another one in my future, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

2011 Crown Victoria - At 40K miles the vent control module stopped working. At the same time the cigarette lighter and 12 volt accessory plug started experiencing intermittent power failures. I had the dealer check out both problems and they said it would cost $1000 to replace the vent control module (plenum) and air box. They could not find any electrical problems with the cigarette lighter and accessory plug.I had my mechanic replace the plenum and air box for $850. Parts were $350 and the Ford dealer had 20 plenums and air boxes in stock. Seems Ford knows there is a problem with these units and they keep plenty in stock. Its a quick money maker for them it seems. Electrical problem - I tested the cigarette lighter and found that there was a problem with the ground wire. I removed the drink tray to get to the wiring and discovered that ground wires had been connected using a flat wire connector. Over time the wires were so flattened by the connector that they had broken off. I removed the flat connector and re-connected the wires using a standard round crimp connector. Problem solved. The Crown Victorias have been produced by Ford for over 10 years and you would assume that most problems would have been resolved during that time. Unfortunately, it seems that Ford keeps using cheap parts in their vehicles and the owners of these vehicles will constantly be on the hook for repairs. No wonder ford sales continue to decline.

My husband & I were Ford truck believers for many years until 2016! From our past experience, we expected our 2008 F450 diesel (with the 6.4L engine), would take us into retirement and beyond until the engine blew up this year, with just over 100,000 miles! $18455.66 later, and a lousy 2 year warranty on the new (same, defective engine), we found out that this engine is expected to fail around 100,000 miles making it the worst engine in the Ford truck line. (Our 1999 F350 is still on the road at 250,000+ miles!)I tried to contact Fords Customer Service (which is really their Customer Dis-service as the one answering the phone only has a first name and no boss to appeal to). My expectation was to get a reasonable 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty on the new engine instead of a crappy 2 year warranty (which is equivalent to a 30,000 mile warranty). The mechanics told us they could bulletproof the replacement engine, after the 2 year warranty expired, for about $8000! My question is, why isnt the replacement engine bulletproofed already? What was once a great company with integrity has been replaced by fraud and failure. I am embarrassed to be driving a Ford after my humble retirement account has been robbed of $20,000.

Last night, I spent the night at my boyfriends. I was awakened to the sound of an alarm and people screaming. I looked out the window and his Ford 1995 F150 was blazing. There were flames and black smoke and the smell of rubber. He was working and so, after calling the fire department, I called him. The truck had been sitting in the parking lot for three days and this night was the coldest night of the week and it was raining. I was thinking that someone set the truck on fire but, after reading the information on this site, I am shocked and amazed. My mom bought this truck from a dealership about ten years ago and it was well maintained. Apparently, that means nothing and filing any paperwork with Ford would be useless. This really sucks. We will never buy another Ford ever!

38 days ago my new 2015 Ford F150 broke down with 8000 miles on it. A part in the transmission is defective. It has now been 38 days and I still do not have an ETA on the repair of this vehicle. Parts are not available for this truck. Ford has been completely uncooperative and unsupportive. While a rental car has been provided, they expect me to pay the difference between what they pay and the baseline price of the lowest level rental provided by the rental company. At this point they state that they will ship an entirely new transmission, however they have no ETA on this and it could be up to two more weeks until this is resolved. When I escalated this to Ford customer service the only resolution is to keep waiting. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I will be escalating this to legal means.
