Nows The Perfect Time To Buy A Cadillac CT5

GM is no stranger to slashing the prices of its vehicles. In these challenging economic times, any discount is welcomed by the consumer, especially as greedy dealers place excessive markups on their inventory. Now the largest sedan offering in Cadillac's range, the CT5 takes the fight to the European competition, offering BMW 5 Series space for 3 Series money. With a starting price of $37,295 (excl. destination fee), it offers exceptional value. And yet, for the month of March, Cadillac is offering a rather lucrative deal on the executive express. Customers can look forward to a $500 cash allowance when opting for a cash purchase or finance deal. However, the real benefits are to be had for lessees. Those thinking of leasing a CT5 may want to act fast; 2021 models are privy to a $500 discount, available to currently qualified lessees. Both the '21 and '22 CT5 are eligible for a cash allowance of up to $2,500 in certain regions. The lease agreement stretches across 39 months, with a 2021 CT5 RWD Luxury priced at $399 p/m. A security deposit isn't required, but $3,609 is expected at signing for current lessees of a MY2017 or newer vehicle. This is tethered to an ultra low-mileage lease, limited to 10,000 miles per annum. As mentioned, those seeking to purchase in cash will receive a $500 discount, but there are also additional benefits for those opting to go the financing route. Cadillac's finance offer on both the 2021 and 2022 CT5 brings about 0% interest for three years, although the deal must be done through GM Financial. 2021 CT5s gain a $500 purchase allowance, something not afforded to 2022 models. Those looking to score a bargain on the '22 CT5-V Blackwing will be sorely disappointed; the range-topper is excluded from the deal. Cadillac does note that some customers may not qualify for this deal, which is set to expire on March 31, 2022. If you're a Costco member, now is the perfect time to purchase. Up until May 2, the retailer is offering members an exclusive offer of $1,500 off various models, including the CT5. This does not cancel any manufacturer incentives, meaning you're in for a real bargain. Sadly, those purchasing a 2022 model will have to live without Super Cruise. The brilliant technology has been omitted from the CT5's spec sheet, as the ongoing chip crisis forces manufacturers to delete tech and features from cars.

Bought a 2011. After 3 months one headlight went out. Had water condensation inside. 1500.00 to replace whole seal and light. Now I have had car 18 months the other headlight did the same. Call Cadillac Corporate. They acted like they had never heard of this. There 100s of complaints about this online. They were no help. No discount to help. Nothing. Dont buy a Cadillac. Seems like they are not the car they use to be!

Cadillac offers good and quite a few like vans, cars, suv and lots more. I like all of them. They are all great price and great design. I like the leather they use and the colors even like the textures. But they do need a few more updates, like cd updates. I am just ready for like video cd to play on the GPS too. But it was great experience. I really like big cars to fit more people. I need to fit at least 8 people and have space for more stuff on the back of my car trunk, big boxes too.

On October 26th, 2012, our 2009 Cadillac SRX was hit by a kicked-up rock on a local tollway. The cargo area window on the drivers side was completely shattered. This window also houses the antennae for the navigation system. The SRX model was redesigned beginning with the 2010 models so this window is no longer used. GM has had this window on backorder for months, if not years. It does not have a manufacturer for this window, and obviously has no plans to obtain a manufacturer. There is no ship date! I will never purchase another Cadillac or GM product and I will make it my mission to spread the word about the totally unsatisfactory experience Ive had with this brand.

I bought a 2010 Cadillac SRX June 2012 with 62,000 miles. Biggest mistake of my life. After paying almost $43,000 for a luxury car you expect getting your money’s worth. I should have taken the legacy deal being offered for my QX45 Nissan Infinity from the dealer across the street But my hubby convinced me to BUY American. One week later the hydraulic for my tailgate almost knock me unconscious. That was $150 out of pocket for it was a supposedly As is sale. Dealership had forgotten about the 10 point pre-inspection he had bragged about. They promised replacement for the scuffed wheel wells was also almost a no go. The salesman had developed an amnesia issue. That should have been an indication of future and my still on-going issues with my car. Alexander of Oxnard and GMC refusal to recognize my issues with this very expensive LEMON. Two years later my woes had begun. First, dealer’s insurance company was unable to locate my extended warranty to cover the issue. How convenient. After purchasing another 2- year of coverage, my warranty was found so now I had an overlap of 3 months, but with another contractor. Two different companies. I have lost count of the number of hours Ive spent taking in my car because of dropped phone calls, radio not working, incorrect direction by navigation system, or my car cutting off and refusing to restart. The constant failure of the navigation system which is link to the radio is usually an indication my car will fail to start in the next weeks. Now I am skittish about plugging my iPod into the car’s system. Navigation/phone systems refuse to save local addresses and phone #s. Alexander recommended replacing the navigation/radio system for a hefty $800. After much discussion it was reduced to $350. Im still refusing to pay out of pocket. Neither GM nor the dealership can explain why I should pay out of pocket for this much noted design flaw. Oh let me not forget to mention I cannot take my car through a car wash. It would be necessary to get a jump in order to leave the parking lot. I read where another SRX owner has the same issues. Now I am in the process of submitting documents to be reimbursed for towing fees, a new battery, and the initial labor cost for troubleshooting cars problem; problems stemming from design defect that GM was already aware of. I am still hoping GM will do the right thing and replace my radio and navigation system free of charge. This citizen will not ever buy GM again. Going back to Nissan.

Exhaust noise: I bought a new 2012 CTS. When I get on it a little bit just before it shifts gears, it makes a sound that sounds like all the baffles in the muffler or cat is going to fall out. I took it my dealer, and they hear it also. They took another 2012 CTS, and it does the same thing. I got a case number from GM. They told me there was nothing they could do. I have had 5-6 people tell me that the car sounds like it is falling apart when I step on it. The dealer hears, and GM knows about it and will not do anything. What do I need to do to get some results? I did not buy a new $45,000.00 car to have something that sounds like it is falling apart. I am not bad-mouthing the dealer, they have done everything they can at this time. Have you heard of this? According to GM, all CTSs might do this? Im trying to find anyone who can tell GM how to fix this. Thank you.

I bought a new 2017 Cadillac XT5. I had a problem with the cruise control. It took 4 visits to the maintenance department before they fixed the problem. I had to take my Cadillac in because the fuel gauge would not work properly. I simply washed my xt5 and somehow it caused the door locks to not work. It cost me $575 to get it fixed. I called the corporate office seeking a refund and give Cadillac a chance to stand by their product but they refused. So, if you want to take a chance and buy a Cadillac....good luck.

Cadillac has a great selection of models from mid-sized, full-sized and SUV vehicles to fit any need with top-notch quality. The current line-up can compete with the luxury vehicle offerings from domestic and foreign car manufacturers. The interiors are luxurious and the exterior has interesting styling with many modern concept cues. The higher-end models have spacious seating and cargo. The options that come standard are decent and the fit and finish is well worth the price paid. I would definitely recommend their offerings over competitors.

The XT4 is a great car. I bought my 2019 just recently and took a shake down trip to Dallas from Houston to see if there were any kinks in the car. It performed splendidly on the trip. I drove it 80 to 85 mph and it felt smooth and powerful. The only thing that happened and the reason for the low review score was that the car tried to kill me. I got some open road and floored the accelerator and to my surprise the pedal stuck to the floor. The turbo had kicked in and I was flying down the road. I shifted into neutral but the engine was revved all the way. Luckily I was able to take the side of my foot and manipulated the pedal back up to where its starting position. I said it must be a fluke so I did it again and I had the same outcome and same fix. I road on back into Houston with no other issues but I also wasnt going to floor the car again till I could look at the problem in day light. The next morning I found that the mud mats that came with the car was not installed in the two plastic holders and I initially thought the car was I had taken the car to had not popped them in properly but I discovered that Cadillac had left the carpeted floor mat in place under the mud mat. I didnt even know there was a mat under there. There is no way to get 2 mats to pop onto the two plastic holders so it was really Cadillac (the dealers) fault. This is a warning to anyone who has those hard mud mats to make sure they cant slide forward and interfere with the accelerator it could be disastrous.

I purchased a Cadillac ATS in April 2014. Within one month it developed an extreme odor from the ventilation system. Went to the dealer in July 2014. They minimized the odor, it returned with a vengeance. In July I had my 4th visited where they implemented a Service Bulletin for the odor. Apparently there are many people with stinky Cadillacs. Within 2 weeks the odor returned worse than ever. I called the dealer and they advised they would contact Cadillac Engineering. I wrote to Cadillac who sounded sympathetic, but no real response for a remedy to my extreme problem. The problem comes from mold forming in the ventilation system. I am concerned about potential health issues as the air is very bad. Has anyone else had the same problem where Cadillac made a successful repair?

There is also no need to update this SUV because it has everything you want in a SUV. There are lots of Cadillac models. However I was only shown large models and SUVs. There was a nice large car, a few Coupes and the Escalade, which is an SUV and what I choose. There were some models with wi-fi and rear mounted cameras so that a person can see whats behind them as they back up. There were some with GPS and SiriusXM satellite radio, leather interior and natural wood grain panels. Then I was able upgrade to get a more durable stitching so that the seats would last longer, a rear facing camera, wi-fi and an extra row of seats in the back that is removable. The original model was capable of seating 6 comfortably. I opted for the removable back row because I shop at Sams and usually need the extra room.

The 2015 Cadillac is nothing but a hot mess!! Ive dealt with headlights so dim I could not see to drive at night. After four tries, Cadillac Service finally figured out a fix. There were transmission issues: the car would hesitate when giving it the gas from a stopped or slowed position to the point it jerked you back in your seat. The battery completely died at 30,000 miles. The lift gate motor died at 32,000 miles because water from the sunroof drainage tubes literally soaked the motor, ($1800 fix). So, take my advice and just run as far away from this car as you can.

I bought a brand new Cadillac CT6 in 2017. After 2 years of use, I noticed the wheels had some spots that resulted to be paint peeling off of the wheels. It took multiple visits to the dealership to open a report and get the warranty claim started since service technicians did not know how to properly open a warranty claim. After more than 2 months of continuous visits to the dealership, GM finally answered that they would not replace the wheels due to warranty expiration. Poor warranty support on a car of more than $50k tag price. Not buying Cadillac again.

Beware of obstacle to knees, causing personal injury upon entering and exiting the driver seat of an XTS. I have injured my knees twice and it is a bad painful abrasion. There is a protrusion above the speaker on the door liner where it integrates with the dashboard once door is closed. The injury is complicated by the dynamic force in which you enter and exit a car. Cadillac should clear the space allowing for swiveling leg rotation. Cadillac needs to protect its drivers and correct this design flaw. Yours truly, sore knees

I have a 2013 ATS with 85k miles. 2.0 L turbo engine blew. Worked with Cadillac customer cares for three weeks to try to get something covered. Assigned an advisor “Shaneva”. I called several times over a three week period, escalating to a supervisor twice without so much as a return call. Finally after 3.5 weeks Saneva called me back to tell me I have to pay 3.2k for a replacement engine. This is a premium vehicle only 5 years driven and barely paid off that needs a new engine and the company will not cover. Poor customer service (no return calls sent to voicemail multiple times, escalated to supervisor 3 times without return call); shoddy product (multiple TSBs on blown 2.0 L engines, known defect); even though a known defect they still don’t stand behind their product. I was once an engineer for GM, both parents retired from GM, and I have purchased or leased a dozen GM vehicles but this ATS is the last. I will now be paying the 3.1k, drive it a while and go look at Mercedes and BMW.

Two criminals broke into my garage and stole my locked Cadillac CTS with ease. My wallet, purse, license, more than ten credit cards, and many other items of value were in the car, and still, havent been recovered. I called the police and was told that the car would stop in about a half mile. That was not the case. They stopped to get snacks and completely trashed the car, before going on a joyride in circles across town. The police ended up finding the car, one of the criminals was found, the other took off with my purse, which contained once again, my wallet (which contained more than two hundred dollars.), around ten credit cards, both my drivers and military license, and many others valuables. They also found meth in the car. Wonderful. When we spoke to the police about the incident, they had no words. They told us to go straight to the manufacturers about this, as they were clueless how this occurred. How my Cadillac CTS was able to drive OVER fifty miles without keys! When we spoke with the man who broke into the car, he didnt even know how it worked. Meaning that the car drove without any help. He was charged with theft, breaking and entering, and possession of narcotics. he dropped his partner off somewhere before he was caught, we told him we would drop some of the charges if he gave her, and the money up, but he wouldnt budge. His partner is STILL missing with all of my belongings. I would NEVER recommend this to friends or family, or anyone really. After doing research, I have found that this is not the first time that a Cadillac CTS has driven without keys, allowing criminals to get away with thousands of dollars, and other important items. Another customer lost, Cadillac. I will be going to the media and sharing this, to ensure nothing similar to this happens again.

I bought my 2007 Cadillac for my birthday in 2013. Its been a nightmare since. To be fair, I dont place my blame solely on Cadillac, but also on Rancho Motor Company in Victorville, California. I have spent the last year trying to get the engine light on my car corrected. To date Ive had the o2 sensor, timing solenoid, spark plugs, and ignition coils replaced. None of this solved the problem. On Monday 9/28/15 I took my car back into the dealership one more time for an oil change and diagnostic. This time they finally tell me that the timing chain needs to be replaced and that its going to cost me $2500. Disappointed and angry for being lied to for so long, I took it to another mechanic for a second opinion. This is when I learned that a recall was issued for the timing chain in 2014 and I was not notified. This is also when I learn that the recall is void when the car reaches 120000 miles. My car is now at 123000 and the dealership refuses to honor the recall.I was also told that I was not contacted about the warranty because since it isnt a safety recall, consumers were only made aware of the recall if their call showed signs of timing chain problems. In other words, Cadillac and Rancho Motors dont respect their customers. They knew in 2014 what was wrong with my car. There is no way they couldnt. Now my car is unsafe to drive and the timing chain and snap at any moment.

Earnhardt Cadillac, Scottsdale LIES AND COVERS UP, WHAT A CUSTOMER SERVICE
Earnhardt Cadillac, Scottsdale LIES AND COVERS UP, WHAT A CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARE! In January of 2011, I purchased a 2008 Cadillac STS in excellent condition, with less than 20,000 miles 20,000 ARIZONA MILES! That means no snow exposure and little, if any at all, rain exposure. With such low mileage and the excellent condition of the car, I was looking forward to several years of enjoying it.Cadillac vehicles have been a constant in my family for as long as I can remember. My grandfather bought a new one every 12-18 months and my father has ALWAYS had a Cadillac - a new one every 2 years. I was excited to continue this family tradition. I took extra special care of the cars I do all my cars. I purchased the extended warranty and serviced the car, oil changes and ALL other service, ONLY at Legends Cadillac, which became Earnhardt. In the early part of 2014, my car began making an unusual noise only upon the first cold start in the morning. Of course, I took the car to Earnhardt for a diagnosis. I was told that the service department was unable to replicate the noise and thus could not provide a diagnosis, but that the car seemed to check out and be running just fine. There were no concerns. The power train warranty expired at the end of June, while the car was still well below 70,000 miles. In August of this year, while driving with my 2 young children, I received a message stating OIL LOW, TURN OFF CAR. I was able to drive to the dealership for service. This appointment revealed only, according to JD our service manager, that an oil pressure sensor wire had come loose causing the alert message. I asked if this could be related to the noise that they had been unable to diagnose, which had significantly worsened over time. JD told me no, stated that the car was running fine and sent me on my way.A couple of weeks ago, with the noise now EXTREMELY loud and a noticeable hesitation on acceleration, my wife contacted JD and told him that there was definitely a problem and demanded to drop the car off at service. Two days later, I received a call from JD stating that there was a major problem, oil pressure related, that had caused extensive damage to the engine and would cost $4,800.00 to repair! Oil pump issue. I ended the conversation knowing that I did not have $4,800.00 laying around and available, to fix the car. I also stated that a Cadillac that has been babied, with less than 70,000 miles, should absolutely not have repair issue of this magnitude.I then received a call from JD, much later the same day, stating that he had taken it upon himself and spent several hours on the phone with Cadillac, going to bat for me, to have the repair costs reduced. He then revealed a reduced repair cost of $1,800.00, and acted as though I should be forever grateful for this good deed on behalf of himself and Cadillac?? This good deed, if anything, indicates to me a sense of guilt or responsibility. I responded stating that this was still an enormous amount of money and a problem that should not exist at less than 70,000 miles. Additionally, I reminded him that I had brought the car in to service, prior to the expiration of the Power Train warranty, for this issue AND that the car had been in service for an OIL PRESSURE ISSUE in August. Again, he mentioned the good deed offer that Cadillac was willing to extend. My wife went to the dealership to pick up the car. She requested full service records and was told by JD, that he was unable to print them, and that he could only see them on his computer screen. He blamed this issue on the Legends/Earnhardt transition. My wife insisted on obtaining the service records, even if it meant that she would need to take pictures of his computer screen showing the records. JD replied saying that he would try. He then returned 10 minutes later with printed service records. My wife noticed that the most recent records were missing and asked JD about them. He acted surprised and said that he would check again. He returned with the service record from August 2014. My wife proceeded to ask about the record for when the car was brought to service for the unidentifiable noise, PRIOR TO THE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY EXPIRATION. She was told, by JD, that because there was no service completed, there was no official record of the visit?!?!?In summation, neither Earnhardt nor GM/Cadillac, has made any attempt to follow up with me regarding the situation, even though I have pursued an answer on a management level. They have clearly demonstrated that the loyalty in this relationship was one sided, on my part, and that they clearly do not value my business. Do yourself a favor, STEER CLEAR OF EARNHARDT CADILLAC IN SCOTTSDALE, AND CADILLAC IN GENERAL!

General Motors has extremely horrible cars. Now that I am reading their reviews, I am appalled and disgusted. I have a 2006 Cadillac CTS, my car has just reached 70,000 miles and now the timing chain needs to be replaced. I admit my car has been in an accident but I spoken to many professional mechanics, even ASE certified mechanics. And they stated even with the kind of accident the car had, it would not affect the timing chain. If the timing chain is worn, it is because the manufacturer. They stated to try to see if the manufacturer will try to give you a goodwill warranty because they are noticing a big trend of Cadillac CTS coming in with timing chain issues with low mileage. I called General Motors to see if they could do anything to help, and they said they will call the Cadillac dealership in my area. After basically harassing the dealership, calling them a million times, I finally went up there. The service advisor stated that GM will not do anything because my car has a salvaged title because it has been in a car accident. Thats a dumb ** reason and a pretty bad cover up if you ask me. So they told me to repair my car would be close to $3,000... Why on earth should I or would I pay that. General Motors is getting over on their customers and stealing their money and personally, I am not going to take this from them. I will be contacting a lawyer for them to conduct an investigation with General Motors because I know there are others with this same issue. They want to get people out of thousands of dollars. If I have to continually fight with General Motors for them to get a recall, I will spend several hours a day calling, emailing, and contacting whoever it is I need to contact. If they are going to continue to put out garbage cars, then they should go bankrupt. I believe if enough people come forward with their garbage GM made cars we can file a CIVIL case, and I wont stop until something is done. Either GM make a recall for timing chains in all Cadillac CTSs ... or they can face a lawsuit and end up in bankruptcy. Either way I will not stop until something is done. I would not recommend anyone buy a Cadillac or for that matter any GM car... let them go bankrupt and out of business. Save people their money. I will be consulting a lawyer no matter what the cost. General Motors is a get rich scheme and they will be stopped. Everyone involved and that has invested in General Motors will take a loss since their customers have to.

My 2016 Cadillac ATS is presently at the dealership being tested for a jerky transmission ride--they apparently cant find anything wrong with it! When placed in Drive, it is not a smooth transmission but when I disengage the stop-engine feature it is a little better but not much. Ironically you have to DISENGAGE the stop engine feature on the car since the default is always ON! Ive driven GM cars, including Cadillac for 50 years and this is the most disconcerting ride of any car Ive owned. Curious if others are experiencing this same difficulty?

I purchased a brand new Cadillac SRX in 2012. I have just a little over 50,000 miles and already I need an alternator which is costing me a little over $600. Someone should be responsible other than myself. Theres always a recall on these cars. I think as much as they cost the warranty should be longer and your parts should not go out as quickly as they do. A brand new car that has only been driven 52000 miles and your alternator is going out. GM should be responsible all the maker of the alternator.

I own a 2011 SRX and at 77,000 Km. I noticed a humming noise coming from the rear of the car. It sounded like an exhaust leak as it varied with acceleration. I took it to my dealer and it was found to be a worn left wheel bearing. It was replaced at no cost to me. The same noise started to appear again at 88,000 km. I returned to the dealer with the same complaint and this time it was deemed to be the right rear wheel bearing. But this time since the vehicle was past the 80,000 km warranty it was going to cost me about $500 to repair. I argued that it should have been replaced with the original complaint and ended up paying for labor only $200. Is this normal for both wheel bearings to wear out with this mileage?

I purchased a brand new, off the showroom floor, 2017 Cadillac CT6 in February, 2017. On March 27, 2017 while driving in Rowland Hts., Ca. I was rear ended by a motorist who was not paying attention to the fact that everyone else but her had stopped. I had my vehicle towed to a Cadillac dealer for repair. 2 weeks later that Cadillac dealer contacted me and stated that they could not repair my car as they weren’t aluminum qualified. They found another shop in the area that was aluminum qualified but, in about 2 more weeks, I found out that this repair shop was not GM aluminum qualified. GM finally okayed a shop in North Hollywood that was qualified to repair my vehicle. My car was transported to this location but the vehicle could not be repaired at this time as there were no replacement parts available for my vehicle. Long story short: my vehicle is still in this shop and tomorrow will make it the 4th month that I have not been able to get my car back. In fairness, the Cadillac dealer that I originally took the car to has supplied me with a loaner car for the duration and they also assisted in getting GM to reimburse me for 2 months of payments on my car, but I have not seen my car for almost 4 months! Car is not totaled. My experience tells me that I will NEVER purchase another Cadillac as GM has truly dropped the ball in regard to supplying parts and a qualified repair shop. The shop that my car is still currently at is the only one in Southern California at this time so, again, I blame GM for really dropping the ball. My insurance company told me that I could take my car to any qualified repair show but by whose qualifications??? Again, I commend the dealership that has supported me during this time frame but I have lost all faith in GM.

Security safety and technology included the very latest developments plus it has a great interior and maximum comfort on luxury with high quality materials and premium appearance. I have a 2006 Cadillac SRX. Its been a bottomless pit for ongoing repairs... Purchased with under 40K miles ... problems started immediately Within a month, CD player started not functioning properly (has Nav). Brought to the dealer. Repair: R + R head unit... cost $2500 + labor $2500...? You can buy a hell of a home stereo for a lot less!! All it needed was to have the laser aligned and it was replaced with some other unit from Cadillac (remember R & R no actual fixing here) so someone else has my used $2500 player that probably took about 2 minutes to realign the laser... What was I expecting for $2500?Very quickly found that the car uses a quart of oil about every 1000... Do you want to hear what the Cadillac tech told me when I asked him what should I do? He said, I recommend keeping a case of oil in the back - nice. The cars original sticker was $55K. The steering rack at 40K started to leak... R & R 1000 bucks later... brought home. Next morning, the AC Delco unit they put in leaked worse. They replaced it... Does that mean it was free?At 60K, the right front wheel bearings at $450. I cant tell you how many times Ive had to replace the right front directional at $125. Now I use my fist with a good glove and bash the directional and at least for a while it comes back on (Cadillac glove) - saves a few $100 every year. About 80K, the left front wheel bearing replaced... another $450 repair. Did you know some places on the road get almost $10 for a quart of synthetic Mobil One? Is that synthetic or pathetic? I lost track of how many quarts Ive added in 4 years...I actually had a pretty good stretch for awhile until last week... just turned 100k... Seems the timing chain loosened up, slipped a couple of teeth, valve spring broke, bent a valve and put a hole in the valve cover. $55K and the motor cant go 100K without detonating... As I write, the motor is apart waiting for GM parts (Please...cant we use some aftermarket parts instead?) This bill ought to be a whopper! Ive spent more money on this car for maintenance than the last 10 cars I have owned. Buy American? Buy GM? NEVER AGAIN.

We purchased a new 2016 Cadillac XTS4 in September 2015 from Cadillac Deale
We purchased a new 2016 Cadillac XTS4 in September 2015 from Cadillac Dealer Taylor Automotive in Toledo, OH. My wife is the primary driver and she drives only 4,000 to 5,000 miles per year. A few months after the purchase the battery was dead after not being driven for only 7 days. The salesman then advised us that the amount of electronic devices in the vehicle will drain the battery in a week or less. Even though he was aware of my wifes minimal driving, no mention of the inadequate battery support system in the vehicle was made until our first dead battery experience. It has occurred 5 times since it was purchased. This means that we must carry a jump start battery pack inside the car (not the trunk) and a tool to remove the key lock cover from the drivers door just to get access to the interior to pop the hood in order to do the jump start. When leaving the vehicle at an airport for a one week or longer trip, you can be assured that the car will require a jump start. How could General Motors have done such a poor, incomplete, inadequate engineering job on what they classify as a luxury vehicle for which we paid over $50,000.00? We are looking into the Lemon Laws in OH and we will pursue Legal Action if General Motors fails to correct this problem which is certainly causing many Cadillac owners the same problem. There are many other true Luxury vehicles on the market that do not have this problem because the engineering departments of those car companies figured a way to cut current drain while the vehicle is not being driven or they provided a battery electrical system that is designed to support normal vehicle operation without starting the vehicle every few days just to keep the battery charged. This problem should not exist in any automobile, much less one that represents General Motors top line brand and in this case the largest and most expensive sedan vehicle. I would caution anyone considering the purchase of any new Cadillac vehicle to question the dealer extensively and make sure the car you purchase or lease doesnt have this inherit problem. Even if you are a long term Cadillac driver you should look seriously at other Luxury Vehicle options.

I purchased 2004 Cadillac SRX and thought it was a nice car. That has turned out to be the complete opposite. As of this writing, the car has only 90000 miles, the engine has been replaced, and for what my dealer said was a dropped valve. The radiator has been replaced, the transmission and/or its parts, and so many other problems that are too numerous to mention here. The car was towed in again last night with a bad water pump. The dealer said it is still under warranty and will cost me nothing, thus, being the good news. The bad news is the transfer case chain is slipping and is going to be 1,700.00 dollars. I thought, how much have I spent on that car? I called Matt, the service manager and he only said its a ridiculous amount of money. I suppose the bills on this car is well over what I spent buying the car 2-fold. I want to mention the $400.00 headlight and the $1000.00 plus radiator that got broken while fixing the engine, that I paid for. I have owned several Cadillacs and that my friend is about to change. I wish this to be over.

The Cadillac brand offers a variety of vehicles. I went with the SRS & I absolutely love it. They have a range from sports car to large SUV. If youre in the market for a luxury vehicle without the luxury price tag, Cadillac is the car for you. The Cadillac I purchased came with all the bells and whistles. Theres an out of this world sound system that will blow you away. They have automatic heated seats for your comfort. I was able to upgrade to the features I wanted without a hefty price tag. The sound system and navigation have to be the best in any automobile. Upgrading to automatic everything was well worth it. Since we purchased a Sedan we did miss out on the extra room an SUV would afford. However since were a family of four and the room is just enough to be comfortable.

I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS 3.6L engine with less than 87,000 miles on it. About 2 weeks ago, a screw had somehow backed itself out of one of the gears and caused major damage to my vehicle. The valve cover is shredded, cracked cylinder head and a piece broke off the cast iron timing chain cover. I reported it to Cadillac in hope of them standing by their product and customer loyalty and in turn they have said its not covered under the powertrain warranty. At Cadillacs request, I had the car towed to Don Massey Cadillac because they were supposed to have a reputation for good customer service. That is very wrong. They took almost 5 days to look at my car and give a diagnosis. Now the mechanic that is going to fix the car is on vacation and has three weeks of work before he could get to my car. If the dealership would have looked at the car in a timely manner the mechanic could have looked at it sooner and at least got the parts ordered. I am now going to be at least another month without my car because Cadillac wasted my time. I will NEVER buy another Cadillac or GM product. This car has never been abused or had modifications done to it. Every oil change has had synthetic oil put into it. I am very dissatisfied with the Cadillac brand of luxury. There is nothing luxury about how they treat their customers.

They stated basically that we were out of luck. Earlier this year they offered $200 towards a $1200 repair bill to replace both headlight assemblies. We cant see with the headlights on low beam and have to place them on high beam. In checking with Cadillac today they are standing by their offer. We will not buy another Cadillac and will be telling anyone we encounter that is looking to purchase a luxury car to stay away from Cadillac because of their lack of support. I have had much better success from Lexus and Ford with issues like this. I will stay with these brands.

My wife and I traded our Yukon Denali in on a new Cadillac XT5 on 2/21/2018. Four months after our trade, we got a correspondence from a Seattle detective indicating that our former Denali had just been involved in a criminal activity and wanted to question us about it since it was our vehicle. Turns out Larson Cadillac had not removed our license plates from the Denali and the detective thought we were the criminals. Last month we started receiving toll charges by mail related to our former Denali. Larson did take the proper, common actions to remove us from the Denali when we traded it in, and now say that its up to use to clean up the mess. I have extremely frustrated and disappointed with my 2013 Cadillac SRX. We purchased with 28,000 miles and one previous owner. Around 42,000 miles the CUE system stopped working on the bottom (radio) buttons. I called the local dealership and brought it in to have it looked at and they said they could not detect a problem. Around 51,000 miles the entire CUE screen stopped responding. I called the dealership again and they told me to bring the car in. I did and they told me that the whole CUE system will need to be replaced. The cost would be $1,400+ for parts and labor. Since my warranty expired at 50,000 miles they said it would not be covered under the warranty. I asked about a warranty if I were to replace the part and they told me it was 12,000 miles/12 months.I contacted Cadillac directly after speaking to the dealership to see if there was anything they could do since the problem initially started before my warranty expired, they said there was nothing else they could do and that I would have to pay to replace the CUE. I am not willing to spend $1,400+ to replace an item that Cadillac will not take responsibility for and fix. I will just have to replace the CUE system again in another 40-50,000. This is very upsetting that Cadillac was not willing to make this situation right or fix the ongoing issues with the CUE system. I am extremely disappointed in the money I spent on this car and the lack of customer service.

Mid 2014, begin to have problem with key getting stuck in the ignition and could not remove it. If I turned on and off several, would eventually come out. Had to be careful to make sure everything was turned off (radio, heater) or battery would be drained if left very long. Gas gauge would register empty. Received a recall in September 2014. Took in and they could not do anything because the key was stuck in the ignition and they could not get it out. Took in the next week and something was done the keys. The following week, the key again stuck after returning from grocery. Forgot to go back out and try to get out. The next morning, battery was drained, called for jump start. Could not jump. New battery purchased in November 2014. Had to have car towed to GM dealer on Friday. Had to call on Monday to see what status was. Nothing had been done. Electronic control module was replaced as no communication could be made with the car. Cost, $693.00. Was advised that there could be other issues that occur after this. It had major issues with door actuators and ignition key jamming. Cadillac of Troy charged my dad big money to fix. It never got fixed. I remember the ignition key jamming a week before we sold that car after dad passed away. Our mom had a 1998 Cadillac Eldorado STS 2 door coupe. She hated that car and sold it. Said it was a piece of junk. So after both our parents pass away, what do I do??? I buy me a 2010 Cadillac SRX Performance Edition AWD. A week after I bought it, it rained real hard. I had swimming pools in the driver’s side and passengers side. I bought it used BTW. Researched roof leaks to find out 300,000 of these had the same issuer and there was an ongoing class action suit by people vs the state of California. Didnt help me, I am in Michigan. After I hollered lemon law, the used car dealer finally goes ahead and fixes the roof leak. Took them two months. I get the vehicle back and check engine light goes on. I have a P0017 code, possible bad timing chain. Finally after crying for 4 months, I get the warranty people (GWC Warranty) to finally fix my timing chain. WoooHhhooo!!! Dont get your hopes up too soon, for a week later, I have a P2135 code. Cadillac forums tells me I have a bad TPS sensor, but its better to replace the throttle body for its all built in. I do that.Three days after new throttle body I get a P0442 code. Possible bad purge valve solenoid sensor. Replaced that too. Did it myself. Got the parts online from BOSCH. Didnt feel like renting another car for a week while the warranty people Fixed my Cadillac. A week later I have a P0455 code, EVAP large leak detected. Now I have an appointment with Suburban Cadillac of Ann Arbor tomorrow 11/15/18 for them to run a smoke test to pinpoint what exactly is wrong with my Cadillac. Not fixing it. Mind you just the test, hopefully I go from there. Praying the good Lord shines luck my wait and the darn thing runs trouble and worry free for 1 year. For paying $13,999 USD with a service warranty putting it at $16,000 I was hoping for better reliability than this.

My 2015 CTS had the Que radio go out 6 months ago. It went out again 2 weeks ago. Today they (it was on back order) replaced the radio. To my dismay as I leave the dealership and start driving I notice the display went out again. I called the service advisor and he’s trying to tell me that something is interfering w/ the power of the car. He says it had to be my radar detector. What a bunch of crap. He also said bring it in but if the radio is out again they will not replace it. What kinda crap is that.

This is all about the Cadillac CUE system. You will never realize just how integrated into the CUE system these vehicles are until you lose complete use of the CUE system. I purchased a 2015 Cadillac SRX and to be honest it was the only vehicle Id ever sat in and felt like it was meant to be. I was living in NY State at the time and had a Jeep that I drove most often so the Cadillac get too many miles on it or lots of drive time. However, when driving the Cadillac the CUE system would often lag like a slow computer. I did not drive it often enough to see it as a huge issue and just dealt with it which I now regret. Flash forward three years and Im moving back to California and I decide I can get rid of my Jeep as I will no longer need said all Terrain vehicle and was excited to be able to drive my Cadillac regularly. I decided to drive my Cadillac from NY to CA and not long into my cross-country trip did I start to worry about the way the vehicle was functioning. On day number two of my drive the CUE system became unresponsive. I lost the use of navigation and all features linked to the CUE. In doing so I realized just how many of the luxury features we pay for are integrated into said CUE system. In any case my vehicle was under warranty so I made an appointment to have the CUE system repaired. Id taken my vehicle in before to have the oil change and the customer service was unmatched. Taking my vehicle in to have the CUE was also an amazing experience and the CUE was replaced. I was nearing the mileage allowed before the warranty expired but I spoke with my Cadillac representative about the issues Id had with the CUE and explained my concern that my warranty was nearing expiration and wanted to know if this recent CUE replacement had a guarantee or warranty if it happens again. I was told as long as it is within a reasonable amount of time. Flash forward to four months after the CUE system in my Cadillac was replaced and my warranty has expired. The CUE goes black and is stuck on a reboot cycle with the screen constantly trying to turn on. The temperature controls for the vents and seats are controlled through the CUE with a host of other things. Temperature control stability is kind of important in the winter along with the cameras and again a host of other features safety and technology alike. So I called the closest dealership (45 mins.) and made an appointment for the CUE. I spent the next eight days calling and leaving messages trying to speak with ANY service advisor. Four messages, an online email and no less than 10 calls I could not get a return call. I drove the 45 minutes to my appointment after taking the day off of work because Cadillac does not do service appoints on the weekends and drop offs before 4 pm. I tried to speak with my service advisor but was just told Id have to pay for it to be fixed or at least be liable for the $180 diagnostic fee. I guess four months was not a reasonable amount of time for Cadillac to guarantee the work done in replacing my CUE system now that I am no longer a valued customer. I actually had to tweet Cadillac from the dealership just to get a call and was able to open a case for this now recurring issue with who I now know is the customer support warranty group. In any case I sat at the dealership for five hours when my service rep told me that my CUE became non functional due to an update by Cadillac which corrupted my data. I was told that Id need to bring my car back again because the 45-minute update was taking too long and Id still be responsible for any work done since I am out of warranty. I asked how it is that I am liable for an update that I did not initiate and how I could prevent Cadillac from pushing future updates to my vehicle that may corrupt my vehicle. I was told that my vehicle is out of warranty and there was nothing I could have done to prevent the update. So, there I was a day off work and five hours at the dealership still with no resolve. I called and spoke with my case manager and explained that I did not want to take my vehicle back to the same dealership, how I felt that I was no longer a Cadillac customer simply because my warranty expired and my concern that my CUE system was just replaced four months prior by a certified Cadillac service department, and I was concerned that Cadillac will continue to push data to my vehicle that subsequently makes the car features inaccessible forcing me to pay again to have it fixed. The case manager was very nice and understanding after I explained my situation and how after now taking three days off from work over a four-month period to address car issues is becoming excessive. I let her know which dealership Id like to take my car to which is 1.5 hours away and was told that shed work between both dealerships and get me into a loaner vehicle if necessary as Id already taken three days off for a recurring issue. This was on a Thursday and she said shed call me on Monday to follow up with me in regards to my new appointment at a different Cadillac location. Flash forward to Wednesday and I have not heard from my Cadillac case manager so I followed up with a voicemail. Still, no call back so on Thursday (today) just one day before my new appoint I call the dealership and find they were never contacted by anyone. I call Cadillac to try and reach my Cadillac case manager and cannot get through again. An hour later I get a call from Cadillac and am told my case manager no longer works there, no notes or anything but my name, vehicle make/model and a case number. I get a new case manager and have to go over it all again. In a nutshell my only option at this point as I am told is to take another day off, drop my vehicle off and if they need to keep it overnight Ill need to get my own rental and I will be responsible for the charges. I paid a lot of money for my vehicle and had no idea that Id only be able to retain the expensive features I paid for only for the duration of the lease. I had no idea that once a Cadillac lease expires you are no longer considered a customer and Cadillac certified work is not guaranteed. Id recommend getting an extended warranty or trading the vehicle in once the warranty expires. My Cadillac is the most expensive vehicle Ive owned to date and has been the most problematic. Unfortunately it looks like I will be stuck doing with costly repairs on my Cadillac every few months until I can get rid of this 2015 40K mile Cadillac Lemon. I would be too afraid to buy another Cadillac because when you spend this kind of money youd never expect to have so many problems with a relatively young vehicle. Buyers be aware.

Its a BMW with nice big wheels, a good engine, runs 15 miles, has nice beautiful windows. Gas is good. It runs really fast with a high speed limit. It is the color red with some white in it. Red cars are the best. Has a nice big stereo. However, it will need a lot of work like nicer, better, big wheels, more windows, and a different color would be nice and a better stereo, long distance and more miles. The miles could be better with more room for a bigger family. But the capacity of this car is good. It was really good experience.

Bought my 2013 SRX off the showroom floor. Love it, my wife drives it to work and it is garage keep. After 30,000 had to have a new battery. When the warranty ran out in July 2017, the next month the CUE system locked up and the dealer wanted 1400.00 to replace it. Then I argue and beg that I am only two months out of warranty, then they replace it for 325.00. So I did some research and found the company that makes the CUE system (Infotainment) and contacted customer service who gave me a additional warranty on the system til 2022 or 123,000 miles. Now my heated seats do not work, I am a retired GM employee of 36 years and getting disgusted with this car. I drive a 2000 Cadillac STS 97,000 miles six CD changer still works along with the radio and the heated seats are hot. All four.Updated on 01/09/2018: As stated in my previous review, I purchased this 2013 SRX off the showroom floor. And now after 50,322 miles, garage kept it is falling apart. At 30,000 new battery, 48,000 replace CUE system and now the heated seats do not work.at 50,322 miles. The Cadillac dealer wants 900.00 dollars to fix. The passenger side worked the night before I took it to the dealer (Delaware Cadillac) and now neither works. Initially the service advisor told me 1600.00, but after discussing the problem with GM, they decided to pay 50%. If they are having a problem with the heated seats it should be fully covered. I am not happy as being a GM employee of 36 years. Maybe time for a change.

Defects in car that I bought that was not disclosed to me - I’m speaking with you about a 2001 Cadillac at Naperville Auto and Cycle Outlet (NAC Outlet) at 1560 W. Ogden Ave, Suite #300 (Highway 34) in Naperville, IL, 60540-3998, phone number 847-329-0021, Dealer # 2698. On Monday August 6, 2012, my wife and I were told by the salesman that the 2001 Cadillac was one of their Certified Cars. He said that not all of their cars were certified. ** told us that meant that their mechanics had gone over the car and determined that it was in excellent mechanical condition. While test-driving the car, an indicator on the instrument panel displayed that the oil was at 87%. When brought to his attention, ** promised to have the oil changed and told my wife and I that they used only synthetic oil in the Cadillac (it was later proven not to be synthetic oil); and that if we had any more problems with the car, to let him know and he would take care of it. ** (the salesman) also told us that the car had Bluetooth, which I later discovered it does not have. ** also told us that the car had an active OnStar system. I later discovered that cars made before 2005 have an analog system, which means that I would have to purchase a $1,700.00 digital upgrade in order for the OnStar system to function. On our trip back to Fayetteville, TN, after stopping at the 3rd Toll station in IL, the indicator on the instrument panel came on again displaying 87% oil. This time the indicator went off as soon as we started moving and did not come back on again during the rest of the trip home. A few days later, I flew out to Phoenix, AZ to volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America for 8 days. I had only driven the car a few days after that 13-hour drive back home from Naperville, IL. I returned home August 27, 2012. My wife told me that the oil light was illuminated again, as well as the check coolant light has displayed in the instrument panel, and that she had noticed a puddle under the Car.I immediately took the car to the Express Oil Change, where I have all my oil change. The cars oil indicator was at 87% oil and the check coolant indicator had come up on the instrument panel - after only 1,200 miles of driving the car, most of which was from the drive home from Naperville, IL to Fayetteville, TN. I asked the Express Oil Change mechanic to check the oil and coolant. They told me that the oil stick was dry and that the car had only 3 quarts of oil in it (the car takes 7 quarts). The mechanic told me that the engine was burning up. He then recommended that I park the car and not drive it. He told me that the car was dangerous and that I was lucky that it had not blown up. They captured the 3 quarts of oil and told me it was regular oil and not synthetic oil as I was told by the salesman, ** at the NAC Outlet. I then called the dealership and spoke to **. He told me to take the car to a mechanic and have their mechanic talk to his mechanic, so they could talk technical terms because it was all Greek to him because he was not a mechanic. I took the car that day to the local GM dealer, Carriage Chevrolet. They put the car on the rack and saw that there was an extreme amount of oil leaking from both head gasket covers, the oil pan and the oil sensor, as well as coolant leaking. A puddle of coolant had leaked onto the ground after only 4 to 5 minutes on the rack. After an exterior check of the engine, the GM mechanic stated that this was an ongoing problem because the coolant as well as the oil had turned to a thick grease type material. I was also informed of a 10-page bulletin that GM had put out on the 2001 Cadillac SLS, with the Northstar engines on August 27, 2004, where the motor was required to be pulled and numerous gaskets, seals, bolts, cylinders, bushing, plates, alignment pins, spark plug tube seals, main seal, flywheel bolts, both head gaskets, rod bolts, and many more items needed to be replaced.I called ** at NAC Outlet and let him talk to the GM mechanic, as requested. The mechanic explained the problems they saw externally and informed ** of the 10-page bulletin that GM had put out on the 2001 Cadillac SLS, with the Northstar engines. ** got very angry with the mechanic and me, and hung up the phone on us. I called ** back on August 28, 2012. ** said this was out of his hands and I would have to talk to the sales manager. He said he would have ** call me. I called to talk with ** on August 30, 2012 at 3:00 pm (the time ** told me ** would be in) and was told ** was not there.I called back on August 31, 2012, and again was told ** was not there. I finally talked to ** at about 5:00 pm that afternoon. ** told me to call him back on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. When I did, I was told again that ** was not there. At that point (September 4, 2012), I called the Illinois State Attorney General’s office. They told me they would send me a form to file a complaint against the NAC Outlet, which I later received. I called NAC Outlet again on September 6, 2012, at 5:45 pm and was told that ** was at the regional headquarters of GM and having a meeting with his buddy about my problems with the 2001 Cadillac SLS that I had purchased from NAC Outlet. On September 7, 2012, ** told me to call Jennie in GM’s Customer Service at (678) 240-9885 on Friday (September 8, 2012). When I did, I spoke to Araba in Public Relations, who told me that Jennie had never worked in Customer Service, but that she was her assistant and would give the information to the Customer Care Department and I would hear from them by Monday, September 10, 2012. I received an email on September 10, 2012 from Wes, GM Southeast Customer Activities Manager, stating that unfortunately, they could not help me with this issues since the vehicle was purchased from a non-GM dealer and that GM would review my service concerns if I would provide them with the Cadillac vehicle number and a list of issues. I responded that same day and have yet to hear anything back from the GM regional headquarters in Naperville, IL.I again called ** at NAC Outlet on September 11. He said he was scheduled to have a meeting with the NAC Outlet owners at 3:00 pm on September 13, 2012, and for me to call him back at 4:45-5:00 pm that afternoon, and he would have a resolution for me, and that he did not lie! I phoned back at 5:15 pm per **’s request. ** told me that he had completely forgotten to talk to them, but that one of the NAC Outlet owners would be in at 10:00 am the next morning (September 14, 2012), and he would get him in his office as soon as he came in, and to call him at 10:15 am. I called back per **’s request at 10:15 am on September 14, 2012 and was told ** was outside and to call back in 5 minutes. I called back at 10:30 am and was told ** was in the bathroom and to give him a few minutes. I called back at 10:45 and talked with **. He said that it was a total surprise to the one owner, about my problems with the car. I asked to speak with the owner who was there. ** said he would turn the baton over to the owner and have him call me right back. After not hearing from either of them 2 hours later, I called back at 12:45 pm. **, the salesman, told me that ** and both of the NAC Outlet owners were in a meeting with both doors closed, a barrier up, the shades drawn, and had asked not to be disturbed. I called back at 2:50 pm. ** told me that ** had gone to a nearby town, an hour away, and would be back by 5:00 or 5:30 pm. I called back at 5:52 pm giving ** plenty of time to get back and was told by ** that ** had stopped for a glass of ice tea and had called him to say he would be about 25-30 minutes late. ** also told me that ** had put a note on his desk to call me as soon as he returned to the dealership. I called back at 6:46 pm and was told by the evening guy that ** had gone home for the day. He told me that there was a note on **’s desk to call me when he returned to the dealership (September 14, 2012), but ** was gone for the day, and that he had no way to get hold of **. I explained to him what had happened that day, and he told me that ** was scheduled to be in from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm the next day. I called back the next day (September 15, 2012) at 10:49 am and spoke to ** who told me that ** had not come in yet. I called back at 1:22 pm and was told by ** that **’s car was there, so he checked and said ** would call me back in 10 minutes. I called back at 1:45 pm and ** told me that ** was in his office. ** went to tell ** I was on the phone and came back and said that ** was mad and that ** said that he was trying to work the problem out with the owners. ** told me that ** had cursed him out and told him to tell me that he did not know he was on a stopwatch, and if I pushed him about this, he wasn’t going to do nothing about the car. ** then assured me that ** would call me back and ** did not call.

I purchased a new 2013 Cadillac CTS Coupe in July 2013. A week after purchasing the car, I noticed a popping sound when I put the car in reverse and turned the wheels. The dealership determined that the rear differential must be replaced. They replaced rear differential and 2 month later, the right rear differential seals were leaking fluid. Car returned to dealer for this repair. I have since contacted an attorney to pursue a buyback from Cadillac under the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. The right side weather stripping/molding had to be replaced as it would not seal completely and water would enter my vehicle when it rains or when at the car wash. Cadillac says this does not qualify as a defect therefore they are only willing to grant a minimal goodwill cash offer. Cadillac/General Motors is pathetic.

I liked how many models there was for me and my wife. We decided for the midsize LS. It has a shiny black exterior paint and grey interior, with a nice navigational system. The car can seat up to 5 people, enough room for me and my family.

My wife and I recently rented a 2017 Cadillac XTS. We wanted to try it out before we bought one. Immediately after starting out we tried to use the CUE system and discovered that it is dangerous to use as it is totally distracting and takes your eyes off the road. It is very difficult to use the controls and activate them. I tried to plug my iPod in and it immediately froze up the system. It was extremely difficult to activate the A/C, heating and radio, stereo controls. This system is a complete failure and a deathtrap as it is dangerous to use. I hear as well that they are very prone to failure and not covered under the radio type warranty. What a failure for a car like a Cadillac where a person lays out high multi thousands of dollars. Cadillac needs to dump this system and replace it with one that this car should have. How disappointing. The car itself had adequate power but rode no better, braked no better or did it handle on curves and straight a ways any better than my 2010 Terrain. The seats were hard and uncomfortable on a long trip. As well the transmission did not do anything better than my 2010 Terrain. I expected a lot lot more from a Cadillac especially for the asking price but the car and the company did not deliver. Cadillac is asking way to much for this car and it does not deliver In conclusion we will not be buying any Cadillac of any kind and have decided to go with an Audi. We DO NOT recommend a Cadillac of any kind to any one.

I purchased a preowned 2006 Cadillac CTS 1 week ago and two days later with my new expensive car, the car barely accelerated from a stop. I was almost t-boned 3 times already. My gas mileage is terrible due to the car not shifting out of 4th gear. No 5th. I have to floor the pedal just to creep up to speed, then the car wont shift so it runs high RPMs burning gas. I have read numerous things about this car shutting off, starting on fire, extensive repairs OMG! It is currently under recall for an ignition switch that just shuts off, this disables, brakes, steering, oh yeah and the air bags! Great! Visited two different GM dealerships who showed no concern or offered anything but expensive diagnostic fees. Never mind that I might not love looking enough to make the appointment in the defective POS that Ive just saddled myself with! The car only has 56k miles on it. I paid 15 grand for it and have a large monthly payment. I own an import (German) with 157000 miles it and it runs like a top and I own it. Guess which car I drive! Thank you Audi for being everything GM is not. My advice finance companies and banks should stop providing financing for this entire GM line since once you are Dumb enough to own one you cant give it away. If no one can finance one people would still getting ripped off and maybe GM would start to build a quality product and back it! And the finance companies and banks would stop going out with a repo company and picking them up. That is where mine will end up going. No one can offer a solution on what is wrong! So it can sit and rot until they come get it and my credit will suck and the bank will lose money. In the end, the crooks at GM got paid so what do they care! Listen up banks - avoid GM car financing like the plague, especially the Cadillac CTS!

It has a sleek design and quality craftsmanship, stylish and super sport. The style of a Cadillac and its components are second to none. Also, it has quality driving controls and interior design and has many choices for upgrade, including 4x4 and leather and sport trims. Cadillacs are the brand of many centuries, with lots of power, stability, accommodation, etc. Cadillac has so many models I cant even name, but they have great cars (selections) to choose from. Various upgrades of the Cadillac brands vary from which make and model you choose to drive, or maybe even just test drive, cause when you step foot into one, then the adrenaline rush varies by what you would want in any brand of this great, longtime brand, with lots of media speculation. The brands passenger capacity has the most capacity in the great Cadillac Escalade, so it all varies with the model you would ask for, you have to know what you want in this great company of cars, so the choice is yours, SUV or regular. The distinct appearance of a Cadillac goes to show you quality arithmetic, in every make and model of a Cadillac, especially Cadillac CTSs, in which I believe is 2015s best model on Cadillacs behalf... so there you have it--integrity with just about any Cadillac model, new or old. So go out and buy a new or used model today.

Bought a 2015 Escalade in August 2014. Ever since then I have had nothing but problems. Had taken my car in for a vibration when I reached 70mph. Each time I had to pay out of pocket because they thought my tires needed to be balanced. The problem was still not fixed. The third time I complained and mentioned I do not feel comfortable driving the vehicle while we go out of state and demanded that they figure it out because its not the tires needing to be balanced. They fixed the problem but less than a week later, my vehicle is not blowing any cold air. I live in South Texas and it gets hot here and needless to say I also have a 2 year old who I will not put in that hot vehicle even with the windows rolled down. I brought my vehicle the day I notice the ac was out and they couldnt even look at it. Much less they didnt have any loaners to provide.I have had the worst experience with Cadillac and I will never buy another one. Also, not even having a vehicle to provide for the meantime is disappointing. I paid cash for this vehicle and they could care less if you dont have ac. I left a message to my service tech and havent received a callback. I will be trading my vehicle in for a more liable one, because not only is this an inconvenience, but I didnt pay 80k for my vehicle to give me these problems. Forgot to mention, I never even heard from the service manager or GM. If I knew a customer is having all these problems, I would make sure their needs were met. Thank you Cadillac. The only helpful person is my sales representative who doesnt have much say when it comes to service.

The worst, the dealer doesnt help unless you pay for them to diagnose what is so loud and clear. GM needs to get their crap together. Cadillac vehicles are beautiful, but will become ugly to an owner that has to spend so much money on an issue that is obviously from the maker. How do you expect to compete with BMW?

Over 2 weeks ago, the brakes on my 2007 Cadillac DTS suddenly felt soft as I was going down a hill. This was immediately followed by the following warning signs lighting up on the dash: Check Brake System, Check Brake Assist, Check Traction Control. I managed to get the car down the hill without going over the edge and took it to the GM dealer in town for repair. They advised me that 3 of the brakes needed to be replaced but that there was one part they did not have in stock. After a week of them being unable to locate a dealer in Kentucky that had this part, they were allowed to access GMs system where GM locates and arranges for shipment of the needed part. More than 2 weeks have now passed and no part has been forthcoming, nor do I have any idea when (if???) the part will arrive. So meantime, I and the dealership are a captive audience to this. I would trade the damn thing in but not for another GM product; except, of course, I cant move it as it has no brakes. It is just stuck there in the dealers service department while GM has failed to find and provide the needed part. What happened to the law that says auto manufacturers must make and retain parts for every vehicle they make within a ten-year period? I am not sure how to proceed from here as to if it would do any good to complain to the federal government with regards to lack of available parts or whether to go see a lawyer.

I bought a 2007 Cadillac CTS in January 2013. It was a one owner garage kept gem. I thought. It wasnt a few months later that we had it in the shop for a catalytic converter replacement. With only 55,000 miles on it! Then we discovered that the trunk was full of water below the spare tire! What the heck? This is a Cadillac! Not an economy car! My family has had Cadillacs for generations and never had any problems. I thought it may just be my luck but when I went online I found out that I wasnt alone. Cadillac is losing a lot of customers and Im one. Today we took it to the shop to have a flickering headlight checked and we were told it would cost over $500 to have it fixed! This isnt the Cadillac I grew up around and I PROMISE its getting traded off soon and Ill NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER GM PRODUCT AGAIN. DISGUSTING!

I bought my 2013 SRX in 2014 and it had 12000 miles on it. The transmission shifts so hard, GM says this is normal. I dont think so. They had a recall on it, but I cant tell a difference. My cue screen quit working at 61k miles. Just over factory warranty. Dealership told me it would be at least 1200.00 to fix it, I opted to go without. Fast forward 6 months. My front left tire will not hold air, its a brand new tire. Come to find out, my rim has corroded and will not seal to the tire. Eventually, this happened with all 4 tires. Meanwhile, my cue screen has started cracking on the inside. I dont even use the cue module because it doesnt work. Dealership said it cracked because of the heat. I end up with a flat tire at end of my driveway, I go to change it, no spare, no donut. Just a can of fix a flat type stuff. I call dealership, they tell me to call roadside assistance. Seriously? I find out from the internet that I can order the cue replacement screen on Amazon for 80 bucks. I did. Then I took it to a local mechanic and had them install it for me. Cost me 130 bucks to have it installed. Beats the hell out of the minimum of 1200 for Cadillac. They try telling you the whole unit needs replaced. They take it, slap a new screen on it and sell it as refurbished. Crooks! So after buying new rims and an aftermarket screen and dealing with a hard shifting car, Im at 91k miles at this point, I get in my car to leave work and the ac stopped working. Took it to my fave local mechanic. He tries to fix it but apparently it is a sensor that has to be fixed by a gm dealer so it can be reprogrammed. Of course it does! To sum it all up, the Cadillac looks nice, the electronics quality is definitely lacking, and Cadillac does not stand behind their product. I will never buy another gm product again. My money will go back to Nissan.

We have a 2014 Cadillac SRX... One of the key fobs went bad. Called our Cadillac dealership (Sunset Cadillac) and was told the cost was $200+.. Took the car in and they said it would have to be programmed, still no mention of extra charge for programming. Got the bill and the total was $447.74. Was not told the programming was extra!! $155.00 for programming. $35.00 for miscellaneous charge. We could have bought a fob off eBay for $32.00 and had it programmed for the $155.00 and been a whole lot cheaper! But since we thought Cadillac’s pricing included programming we didn’t go this route. I called the dealership the same day and vented my frustration, to no avail. On top of that they kept our old fob, which we were going to keep for the key. Not happy customers. We are in the market for a new vehicle, it will not be a Cadillac...

Purchased Cadillac SRX, March 15, 2014 from Valley Cadillac; 3100 Winton Ro
Purchased Cadillac SRX, March 15, 2014 from Valley Cadillac; 3100 Winton Road South, Rochester NY 14623. We took possession of the Cadillac SRX March 17, 2014 from Valley Cadillac. Problems start at 3.5 months of ownership: End of June 2014/Beginning of July 2014 rattle noises heard from the back of the car when going over any uneven pavement, potholes, turns, entering and exiting the driveway. Depending on speed and the amount the vehicle flexes determines how soft or loud the noise is. Its not always consistent either. Thought it was the storage cover took out noises still heard. Sat in the back seat while partner drove and thought maybe it was the plastic around the glass tailgate since it looked broken at the seam. After a few weeks of listening to the noise, I decided to bring into the dealership. July 17th: After hours drop at Valley Cadillac.July 18th: I left a note for the Service Rep to look at the plastic around the glass of the lift gate since it appeared broken to me and to drive the car to listen for the noise. Maybe it was the broken plastic making the noise (?) July 18th: Service Rep called that afternoon and told me I could pick up the car. Service Rep explained the problem was the liftgate wedges making the noise. They tried to lubricate and adjust the wedges but it didnt work so they replaced the tailgate/liftgate wedges and test drove the car. They said it was fixed. The minute I drove out of the parking spot at the dealership I heard the noise. I went into talk with the Service Rep and he had the mechanic that worked on the car come out to talk with me. Since the wedges didnt appear to fix the problem, I asked if he looked at the plastic around the liftgate window. He said no. I climbed into the back and showed him the broken piece and wondered if that was the problem. He wasnt sure since the wedges are known to be the culprit. I scheduled another service visit the following week.July 22nd: After hours drop at Valley Cadillac. July 23rd: They kept the car till July 25th. They said a plastic part of the tailgate had not been delivered and would it be ok for them to keep another day. I agreed. July 25th: They said they fixed the problem. They replaced the plastic on the liftgate. They replaced the liftgate actuator since it was leaking hydraulic fluid. Replaced a lift gate strut since they said the trunk support was leaking and was weak. I picked the car up. On my drive home, the car started making the noise again. When I got home, I opened the tailgate and found that the plastic that was broken around the liftgate window was secured together as if glued (This must have been the plastic piece they fixed). The interior fabric header on the left and right side was frayed away from the tailgate rubber gasket and the interior left side plastic panel wasnt attached to the metal frame. I called the Service Rep and told him the noise was a little better but not fixed. I told him about the frayed fabric and plastic piece not attached. He was very sorry as he did not inspect the car before I picked it up since the Service Rep was busy with another customer when I arrived. Not an issue. I asked the Service Rep to have a loaner car brought to my house and they can take the SRX and I can drive them around in the SRX to hear the noise and show them the interior parts not attached. Service Rep agreed. July 29th: Mechanic came to my home with the loaner car. I showed him the interior pieces that were not attached and he explained that he had to take various pieces apart to make the last repairs and had difficulty putting them back together. We rode around in the car and the Mechanic heard the noise coming from the back of the car. He said there were 10 other vehicles in the shop with the same problem. He was working with another Mechanic to try and fix the problem since GM didnt have a recommended fix. Mechanic left with my car to take back to the dealership. July 30th: Get a call from the Service Rep asking if I ever had a problem with the front passenger window not going up. I said no. He said they are unable to get the window up and will have to fix it. July 31st: The Mechanic dropped the SRX off at my home and explained what they did. He explained that the front passenger window had been adjusted and was working properly. He opened the lift gate and showed me that all the interior plastic pieces and the fabric header were repaired. The wedges and liftgate striker were shimmed and re-adjusted. I pushed the button to lower the liftgate and just as it was about to close and lock, it popped open on its own. The Mechanic said he had opened and closed the liftgate 20 times at the shop without a problem. We were able to get the liftgate shut by holding the liftgate down so it would open up on its own. We drove around the neighborhood and I thought it was better but as soon as I turned up my drive, it made a noise. I called the Service Rep and told him it wasnt fixed. I had to keep the SRX as we were going away and needed to use the car. August 1st: On a weekend trip. Had to drive to Maryland and listen to the music pretty loud since the noise in the back is unbelievably annoying. We reached our destination and dropped bags at hotel lobby. My partner pushed the liftgate close button from the driver door and started to drive away. I forgot to tell him the gate might not shut and sure enough it opened on him. He tried several times to get it shut and finally it closed by pushing down on it. (What is the point of having an auto liftgate if you have to hold it down to get it to close). August 5th: Dropped the SRX off at Valley Cadillac in an attempt to fix the noise problem again and liftgate not staying shut. A GM representative was at Valley Cadillac and our Service Rep showed him the car and explained what was going on. The GM rep said that the tailgate/liftgate noise was a known problem with the Cadillac SRX. That its a design flaw and there is no fix for it since it doesnt happen on every SRX. Valley Cadillac had a case number generated with GM since this was an apparent problem. The liftgate close switch was replaced maybe due to corrosion in the switch that made the tailgate go up on its own. I also had them do an oil change and tire rotation since we were leaving to go out of town for the week. August 6th: The car was ready to be picked up but I didnt pick up till the 7th since we didnt have time to get it until then. August 7th: I met with the Service Manager who told me he would elevate the issue to the District Manager and that the District Manager would call me. The Service Manager explained it is a problem with the SRX and that there is another individual that is having the same issues. Others that have had the issue had been fixed or have chosen to ignore it.August 8th: On my way to work the Engine light came on. I called our Service Rep. The Service Rep said to bring it in since I was leaving to go out of town at 12 noon that day. I went to the dealership. I waited for the car and the Service Rep told me it was an actuator in the emissions that had gone bad but it was replaceable. Upon leaving the Service Rep told me that the actuator wasnt broke but that it was a hose that was disconnected, probably from when the car was manufactured. At this time, I told the Service Rep that I had been patient but that I was losing my patience. He told me that he understands the car makes noises and that a luxury car such as this should not make them. He also stated that most people can ignore the noise but understands I am more sensitive to it, as he would be too. Seriously??? The car is a $47,000.00 piece of junk.August 9th: Upon arriving at our vacation destination, the front passenger side window would not go up. I called the dealership but service was closed. I called our sales rep and left a not so nice message on his voice mail. He did call us back and suggested we take the car to the nearest dealership (which was 1.5 hours away) we explained we were on vacation so we had the car towed to the dealership. We couldnt pick the car up until that Thursday 8/14 so we didnt have a car for 4 days while on vacation. August 15th: I called the Service Manager to tell him the District Manager never called me. August 18th: The District Manager finally called and I explained to him what I wanted. I want my down payment back and you take this car and cancel my lease.August 21st: Our sales rep calls and tells us we can come to the dealership and pick out any new Cadillac. I told him I didnt want another Cadillac. If I wanted another Cadillac sedan, I would have bought one in the first place and I dont trust the SRX enough to want to ever drive another one. August 22nd: I spoke with the District Manager and told him I was very unsatisfied. I explained again what I wanted. He acted like I never told him that. August 25th: The District Manager said he escalated this matter to his Regional Manager. I asked for his name and contact information and I was told the Regional Manager doesnt deal with the customer. At this point, I called the Executive branch at GM and a case number was generated with one of the customer service reps. September 5th we take a weekend trip to visit friends in PA. We arrived at their house, close the tailgate and it pops open again! 3 times! So I call the customer service rep at the executive branch so she can make a note of it in the case file. It has been 6 weeks since this issue was escalated to the District Manager and 4 weeks since it was escalated to the Executive Branch and no one has been able to give me any decision. We leave the car in the garage and dont drive it unless we have too. At this point we are wasting money on a car with known problems and problems that just appear out of nowhere. Valley Cadillac has written this off as GMs problem and GM is doing nothing to make this car go away. We need help! In Summary: Tailgate/Liftgate makes noises that sound as if the gate is not shut or the vehicle is not structurally sound. GM knows of the problem but wont fix it and tells us we just have to live with it. In for service 4 times for the same issue. Tailgate /Liftgate doesnt always shut automatically without having to hold it shut. Front Passenger Winder is fixed??? Will it break again?? The dealership has shoddy at best workmanship. Poor vehicle quality = poor resale. I would never be able to get rid of this vehicle on my own. GM does not care that every day they dont make a decision to take this vehicle back its costing me money. All we want is our down payment of $2800.00, return the vehicle and rip up the lease. It has been 6 weeks since this issue was escalated to the District Manager and 4 weeks since it was escalated to the Executive Branch and no one has been able to give me any decision.

I have a 2015 Cadillac CTS and it’s been nothing but problems once I passed 65,000. The rear differential began to go out around this time. Also the CUE in dash screen began to crack internally around 74,000 miles. Both are very expensive items to replace. Cadillac only offered to pay for 40% of my differential repairs even though the differential began to go out under warranty. Also the CUE screen is no longer under warranty. This is my first car where I need to have 2 major repairs and the car is under 100,000 miles. SMH.

My husband and I have done research and read about many issues other consumers have had with the lights. I am very worried something could happen while driving at night. When I contacted Cadillac for help (because they manufactured and sold a defective car) the Corporate employee told me I am responsible for Cadillacs manufacturing issue and DECLINED any further escalation from me. I cant believe they treat their customers this way. Bad car & even worse customer service!

I purchased brand new Cadillac Xts in 2016, after being a proud cadillac owner if several prior vehicles. From day one, this car has been a nightmare! When it was delivered the paint was messed up and it took so long to repair I made my first payment before I received the vehicle (paint still not perfect). It was so bad a cadillac rep had to come view it. My car since day one has occasionally shook when being crunk. The check engine light would immediately pop on, but when car was restarted it would go away. I was told several times by the dealership that they could only fix it if the check engine light stayed on.There were other issues as well, We were told by the General Manager not to worry. Cadillac would do a buyback and gives us 10% off of msrp of a new Cadillac. The dealership has since closed, getting Cadillac to do the right thing seems to be a nightmare! We have been dedicated Cadillac owners and never had a prior issue, this is extremely disappointing!

I was a proud owner of a Cadillac SRX until I had to pay to repair a manufacturer flaw in the transmission. I know that Cadillac is aware of the problem because they made a part to fix it, but thought so little of their customers. They left us the bill to fix it. I will not purchase another car from a company that will leave their mistakes for customers to pay for. I feel I am owed a refund for the repair. I have a 2015 XTS and the crackling in the left and right corners of the Cue screen is the least of the problem, now my radio is selecting its own stations, is flipping from media to radio on its own, as well as all of the station data is racing across the screen to the left continuously. Today, the local Dale Earnhardt GM Dealer said that it was becoming a common problem, the unit was on back-order until the end of September (it is now the middle of August) and will cost $1,475.12 to replace. This is my third and last Cadillac nor will I recommend that any of my friends buy Cadillac. The manufacturer should not place sub-par components in a $60K vehicle.

I replaced everything but the traction control sensor and Im still having the same problem! It has a rough idle from time to time where the motor will say reduced engine power and the car will rough idle and cut off so then I would have to put it in neutral or stop or park and turn the car off and turn it back on. Traffic control Would go off all but the check engine light will still be on. Sometime to check engine light will stay off and a run just fine but then when Im traveling down the road both lights Would come on and the car Would shut off. Really really really dangerous. I contacted the Cadillac dealer and they verified the problem. The dealer ordered a new navigation disk but the same errors occurred. The dealer tested the navigation system on other SRXs on the lot and all had the same problem. The dealer contacted the Cadillac representative who said that nothing would be done until the 2014 model year. I noted that the navigation system instructs the driver to make wrong turns which could result in a fatality if the driver was to enter the wrong way on a one-way street. When new, my 2006 CTS with 3.6 liter V-6 used about 3 quarts of oil per 5000 miles. At 70,000 it was using 7 to 8 quarts per 5000 miles. At 93,000 it uses 9-10 quarts per 5000 miles. I bought an after market warranty for 8 years but kept getting the song and dance from the original service desk, and the next dealer did the same, after we moved across the country. The first dealer said oil usage was tolerable and should be ignored. Second dealer said the aluminum heads caused excessive oil use, not to worry. I told him my Toyota with well over 100,000 miles had an aluminum head and had never used a drop of oil. Then the service rep said bring it in after he was free from all these recalls and hed have a look. He said the engine would be drained and Mobil 1 synthetic oil would be put in the engine and Id have to return to the garage to get oil added so the system could be monitored. I told the service rep I had Mobil 1 five-quart jugs marked with mileage readings and I had been monitoring oil consumption since the car was new. The engine burned nothing but Mobil 1 oil. I told him repairing this engine was not an option, because it burned oil when new. It needed a different engine that would bolt in. I offered to buy an engine, but not the same 3.6 liter from Opel. He said I could schedule an appointment when the engine man came back. Had I been told the engine was from Opel, I would never have bought the car. I had to learn that on the internet. I thought Cadillac learned not to do this in the 1980s after they sold a low grade Cavalier with an Opel engine and called it a Cadillac. GM used to make good engines. Cadillac was a flagship product. What has happened? I dont blame GM, since the mistake was mine in buying a Cadillac. I recognized the decision was a big risk. But mostly Im just disappointed GM continues to market Cadillac heavily with glitz and sex appeal and make such a horrible product. How many American consumers must be duped?

I bought a 2016 Cadillac CTS in JULY 2018 at CADILLAC OF GREENWICH. THIS WAS CAUGHT ON VIDEO (DASH CAM, WITNESSES) was driving with my wife and my brother in a very TOURISTIC part of NYC (59th st and 5th Avenue). The car started emitting smoke and the hood went in complete flames. Thank god we came out of the car on time and the FIRE DEPARTMENT broke the hood and put out the fire. We were told that the damage even got to the gas line since gas was leaking and the brakes also stopped working. If the fire wouldn’t have been put out in 2-3 minutes we would’ve all exploded and many tourists (innocent bystanders) would have died. Mechanics are saying that the cause was because of FAULTY manufacturing inside of the hood. The Cadillac dealership washed their hands and don’t want to accept responsibility. NOBODY WANTS TO TOUCH THE CAR and I don’t have comprehensive insurance so they are useless. My car is considered total loss even though it wasn’t my fault, I was sold a faulty car. Cadillac of Greenwich promised to honor my warranty till 100,000 miles and it was “luxury” which was a lie, I have it all on text messages. The guy RAJ pressured me into trading my old ATS and telling me the New car was luxury and it wasn’t. I confronted him after I found out (a week of having the car) and all he said “oh sorry I thought it was luxury.” Since first day of driving off the lot, I’ve been having issues with the car, I went MORE than 5 times back to the dealership to fix many issues especially something with engine and transmission because the car was jerking. They “tried” to fix it but said that there’s nothing they could do.They were pressuring me so much to buy the car because it seems like they wanted to get rid of it. I called Cadillac customer service and they are just delaying everything. I’m hiring a lawyer and to sue them. I suffered loss and I almost died!!!! I have proof please contact me for more info. I have messages, Pictures, Videos, Witnesses. DONT EVER BUY FROM CADILLAC.

On June 11th, I visited the Cadillac dealership and informed the repair rep. Marissa the issues I was having with my vehicle. These included my speedometer, my fog lights, and lastly my radio. When I picked up my vehicle after spending $1,100 ($400 in labor alone), it still was not functioning properly. I promptly informed Marissa that my speedometer was not working and she said to return, which I did. She left me with the impression there was no extra charge since it was not correctly repaired originally. How was this missed since it was placed on diagnostics? Nevertheless, I was charged an extra $100 in labor, inconvenienced and dissatisfied with the outcome and decided to meet with service manager, Mr. **, for a better result in regards to the labor. The only thing he could provide me was a provision for the future but nothing for now. He even informed me that the speedometer was a recall issue that I never received and he could not or would not rectify this either. I am a long time customer of this dealership and am insulted by the way I was treated.

I was into the Escalade but eventually realized that truck is just overkill and just a bigger version of a Chevy so I got a XT5. Its black with the sport package, wood trim, automatic transmission, and sweet moonroof. It can seat one person extra. I also love the OnStar.

I bought a used 2003 Cadillac CTS that had very low miles on it. I owned it for 20 months. $735 for the oil sending unit and valve cover gaskets, $180 crank sensor 6 days after I bought it, $700 for the third brake light, $600 for a thermostat, $1200 oil cooling unit which put oil in the cooling system and $115 for a radiator flush. Down the road, that car will need a new water pump and all new water hoses within a year after the oil incident. That may run another $1000. The car also has under 70K miles. Never again will I buy a Cadillac. Even if they address the quality issues, I will not own something that has $700 brake lights. If I fixed everything on it before I got rid of it, I would have spent a total of $4530 or $226.50/month in repairs. This is not counting everything I spent running premium fuel in it. I cannot believe the poor quality from Cadillac, the second oldest American car brand.

Love my car but hate the radio or cue system. From the first year we bought this car the screen on the radio would freeze up. But after a day or so it would be ok again. Not sure why it would work again but happy it was working. Then this past month it froze up and we have tried everything to fix it. Just called the local Cadillac dealer and they said it is common but my warranty is out and it could cost anywhere between 1500.00-2200.00, yikes!!! There should be a recall on this radio system because I have read many reviews this past month while trying to figure out why mine wasnt working.

Buying a Cadillac SRX was a HUGE MISTAKE. I bought a used Cadillac SRX in January of 2019 and it was the worst mistake. I have had to spend over $4000 in repairs within the first year and Cadillac has been of NO HELP at all. In fact, they gave me overinflated prices for the repairs and incorrect assessment of the issue.Firstly, my rear bearing went. Nothing to be done about that except to fix it. Repairs were just under $800. Next month, my lift gate failed and dropped right on my head. After moving out of the way and letting the lift gate fall closed, it refused to open again. Not manually and not with any of the power buttons. We brought it into a dealership and after a $70 inspection, they said it was fused shut and they didn’t know why. They quoted my $450 to break open the rear lock. On top of that $450 price tag would be a new diagnostic to see what the root problem was. The mechanic said it could be the module, the struts, the shocks or even the motor. With all that, I would then need to reprogram the module for another $150. As I was deliberating what to do next, the Cue system (the touchscreen where everything relies on) stopped working. I had no central control over heating, music, navigation or anything else, on top of no trunk. I took my car to a mechanic who boasted previous work for Cadillac to see what his prices were. He charged me $0 to open my trunk! He used the manual release hidden behind the tail light. Why wouldn’t Cadillac do that?? Instead they tried to charge me $450 for a whole new lock system. After that, he told me that there was a problem that plagued a lot of SRXs. The moon roof drainage lines, when backed up, leak into the trunk of the SRX (under the spare tire area). So, we checked and yes indeed, there were 2-3 gallons of water in my trunk. The lift gate module and the motor were both submerged. So, in the end I had to pay for the 2 new struts, new motor and new module. I now have to go back to Cadillac to have the module reprogrammed (as only Cadillac can do it). They are charging me $150 for that, and offer NO help at all. Unfortunately, there will be a real chance of it happening again, as there was no way to fix the drainage problem. To fix my Cue system, Cadillac quoted me $1400. This mechanic I went to and replaced it while I waited and only charged me $400. That’s a $1000 difference in this one aspect alone. My car is only a 2014. It has 86,000 km which is just outside their warranty period. Cadillac boast their comfort, their quality and their care for their drivers. Well I say BULL. When I bought a Cadillac, I thought I would have a quality vehicle that would last, while providing a comfort that my children and I would love. That did not happen. At all. Buying a Cadillac was the worst car decision I have ever made and it has cost me thousands of dollars and dozens of hours in repair time. I will not buy a Cadillac again and I highly discourage anyone buying a SRX. It is not worth it. Sure, its pretty but mine is the sourest of all LEMONS.
