Nissans New Self-Driving Tech Coming In 2030
Posted On: April 26, 2022
The number of major automakers working on their proprietary blend of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) has grown by one. In addition to brands like Tesla and Ford, Nissan has announced it is beginning the development of its own self-driving and driver assistance technologies. Nissan has partnered with Luminar, a global automotive technology company with ties to other automakers, like Volvo. Together, the brands have projected that Nissan's ADAS technology will be ready by 2030, with development finishing in "the mid-2020s." Right now at least, it appears the system is aimed squarely at accident prevention and supplementing already available driver assistance systems, and not at creating a Tesla Autopilot competitor. It's a huge step for Nissan, who up until now, was really only dipping its toe into driverless tech. Nissan calls the tech "Ground Truth Perception," and its list of capabilities should prove impressive if they make it to market. The tech can detect both the size and shape of distant objects in real-time, apparently with a very high degree of accuracy. Using that info, the test mule, an Infiniti Q50 (Nissan Skyline GT in Japan), can instantly analyze a given situation and automatically avoid potential collisions. Of course, object detection isn't the only aspect of autonomous tech, and Nissan says the system can also use the system to pick up on slowed traffic or obstacles and initiate a lane change automatically. To do so, the brand's ProPILOT tech uses a blend of seven radar sensors, ten cameras, and a LiDAR system. Nissan also says the system will be able to provide some kind of support to drivers in areas where "detailed map information is not available." We're not exactly sure what that means, or how exactly it'll help, as Nissan doesn't elaborate further. It's a bit of a stab in the dark, but perhaps the system will download maps in areas along a route with poor reception, and then use the car's autonomous technology to help direct the driver when the car's GPS can't. We'd imagine this would be particularly useful with electric cars like the Nissan Ariya, directing drivers to the nearest charger even when the GPS can't. The new ProPILOT system developed with Luminar falls under the brand's Nissan Ambition 2030 plan, which includes a run of 23 electrified models, and 50% electrification by 2030. As Nissan begins to pivot into a new era, it'll be interesting to see what direction the brand takes with further development of the ProPILOT software.

We bought a QX 56 in 2006. We have had numerous problems. On August 24, 2016 my brakes failed with my children in the car. It felt like air popping and my car jerked and shook a few times. The brakes went to the floor. The brake light did illuminate. After restarting the car everything was completely normal! Infiniti denies the 100s of brake failure complaints. Death trap. https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/

I had a helpful salesman and there were plenty of cars on the lot. However, they all looked the same which is not a bad thing but I just needed more variety. I wish they had some newer models also. My car is black with automatic windows. The Bluetooth is nice for playing music. The color is shiny and sleek, and I really enjoy how my color looks. It also fit five people which is standard for a car. That is all the room I really need since I am a single person, but I would not recommend for large families. There werent that many personalization options for my car which is okay because I do not need a lot of the expensive but cool upgrades.

We have a 2005 FX35 with the dashboard bubbling issue. We received no notification of an extended warranty with respect to the dashboard defect. We have lived at the same address with the same telephone number and email address that we provided Infiniti when we first took our car in for service in 2009. We purchased the 2005 from CarMax in Richmond, VA in 2009 and there were no dashboard issues. We were never notified of an extended warranty because of this material defect. When I googled the problem in 2014, I contacted Infiniti customer service and they said the extended warranty had expired 1 year earlier and there was nothing they could do. We open and read all of our mail each and every day before discarding and we never received an extended warranty. We contacted Jeb **, service manager, at Infiniti in Richmond, VA. He said there was nothing he could do. He also stated that he personally found that Infiniti was more willing to work with car owners to repair the dashboard even if it was passed the 8 year extended warranty if they were customer who took their vehicles to Infiniti for repairs (I guess because Infiniti makes money on these folks and are more willing to honor fixing this known defect on a high end expensive vehicle). We are just sick. We were told by YOU (ConsumerAffairs) that because we were calling 1 year later that you refuse to cover the cost of this dashboard which is well over $3000. I was appalled! We have babied and taken wonderful care of our car. It looks like it is 2 years old when it is, in fact, 11 years old. We were planning to purchase another Infiniti but will not if we know you dont honor your loyal customers. What can you do for us? I am writing you for the second time a year later because we have to drive in this car to work each day only to look at a disgusting dashboard that keeps getting worse. Wont you please help us! We dont take our cars for repairs to the local Infiniti dealer because we take it for all of its scheduled maintenance to the local Nissan dealer which is closer to our home. Arent you the same company? Why dont you honor this dashboard replacement when you know it is a known defect and nothing we have done to the car? (We even keep a shade screen up each and every day in our front window). Please do the right thing and replace our dashboard. We only have 80,000 miles on our car and are planning to keep it a long time. Please help!

I own a used 2003 Infiniti G35, unlike many of the other problems people have posted about the newer Infinitis breaking down, this ones a little different. I am truly sorry that so many people have had so many problems with this car company, I mean look at their rating. I am giving 2 stars ONLY because before this I really havent had many issues with the car besides for regular maintenance. About a week ago my car started to stall out on me, the steering wheel would lock up and my dash slip and VDC off lights would come on. It would also be a challenge to get it restarted, a few minutes setting did the trick. The first time it stalled was on the highway, which was extremely scary and luckily I was in the right-hand lane and able to pull over to the side of the road. The reason for this review is because I brought my car to my local mechanic as quick as I could, he checked it out and told me I needed both of my Camshaft sensors replaced. A whopping $792.60, mind you I am 23 years old, thats a lot of money to me. Its a lot of money to most people. I did some research and found out that The 2003-2008 Infiniti G35 models were SAFETY recalled for these exact sensors. So I thought to myself how great it was that I could bring it into an Infiniti shop to have it fixed for nothing, since it is a SAFETY recall, and there are no time limits on getting a car fixed for SAFETY recalls. Apparently I was informed that the sensors for my car were discontinued 5 years ago, which was 2010, meaning only 7 years later did they stop fixing this particular safety recall. I was told that they could not work on my car because they could not get the INFINITI sensors and they could not work on my car with the aftermarket sensors. That is ridiculous, what if someone rear-ended me at 70 mph on the highway and killed me because my car stalled and died? Have people been injured by this before? Do owners of Infinitis of certain ages not matter anymore? Do they only care about the people spending 40 and 50 grand on the 2014 and 15s? I have called and was told that my car is no longer under warranty, obviously, I knew that. But like I said earlier SAFETY RECALLS do not have expiration dates because they put peoples lives in danger. So I had to pay the $792.60 bill to my mechanic for something Infiniti couldve (shouldve) fixed for free. I have an open case for a call this Monday to see if they can reimburse me my almost 800 bucks for something which was out of my control. I was told it was highly unlikely because of my vehicles age. I would AT LEAST like to get reimbursed my 389 dollars for the parts. If I do not get reimbursed I am going to put a story about this into my local news station who specializes in things like these. Maybe theyll take interest and put Infiniti on blast to the world. How many people have they done this to? Have people been killed or injured because of them not fixing this SAFETY DEFECT? Not every 23-year old has $800 to fix their car and could take it from the mechanic without being fixed only to have it die again and may seriously injure them. This is completely irresponsible. Based on the companys rating on this site Im sure these complaints arent uncommon.

I purchased a 2014 Q50 at end of February. I have been experiencing a terrible odor, that smells like body odor and onions, coming from the car. I have brought the car in to service and they were not helpful in the least. I contacted Infiniti consumer affairs and they sent an inspector out from Tennessee to work on my car. Its been 4 days and I was told that my car would not be available to me for another 5 days. I was given a loaner car but its really not that helpful as they gave me another q50. This car smells too.Infiniti told me they really dont have a solution. They changed the drain hoses from the sun roof and now they are working on deodorizing it. I honestly dont think this is going to work but they asked me to give them a chance. At this point I really have no options. This is supposed to be a high end car, over $40,000. Im experiencing headaches, and feeling dizzy when in the car. The internet has shown many people having the same problems with their Q50. I just wanna enjoy my brand new car but unfortunately, all I wanna do is vomit when Im in it. Please, any help is truly appreciated.

I, too, own a 2003 G-35 and have had the expense of $670 to change out the radio circuit board. The repair shop tried to go through Infiniti but my VIN was outside of the range of the recalled vehicles. I think it is ridiculous that with the volume of complaints, Infiniti only chooses to replace a few. The problem was not limited to this specific range of vehicles as can be seen in the many message boards that continue to be the voice of many dissatisfied consumers. I really want Infiniti to make it right with the people who purchased their product and now, have had to be out the expense of the repairs. I really loved this car and would have been an Infiniti customer for life but this is just too much for anyone to just accept. Stand by your products and reimburse people for the money they have had to spend to fix this problem in order to be able to operate their vehicles safely!

Love to drive it loaded. These cars are slick with all the bells and whistles, power doors, sunroof, heated seats and leather interior. Great vehicle line up. Cant go wrong. They have multiple upgrade like special rims, tires, accessories, OnStar satellite and tinted windows but most of the line up has it all. Theyre very roomy and have legroom to stretch and a lot of elbow room and storage capacity and big trunks. Very good car or van truck. You just gotta go with what your family needs. Whatever your style its here. Hard to decide what vehicle to choose. Fast cars, family cars. Even had multiple colors. You name it Infinitis got it covered.

Duped by Infiniti. I purchased a brand new QX80 from my Houston dealer. The car is fantastic. At the time of purchase I was clear that I was likely to move to the UAE after a year or so. They assured me that my vehicle was fit for export and that the UAE Infiniti dealer will take care of me. Lo and behold, I arrived this Jan with my QX80, and the local dealer washed their hands off me, claiming the vehicle electronics is completely and that they will be unable to service or diagnose any issues with the vehicle. I feel my $90k is down the drain. Really disappointed! To make things worse, I wrote to both Infiniti USA as well as Infiniti ME. The US palmed me off to the ME office, and the ME office was not at all responsive. I will ensure to continue using every opportunity to discourage anyone supporting the Nissan and Infiniti brand. Shameless thugs!

I recently bought a 2016 QX-70. I previously owned a 2003 FX-45. I was looking forward to having an integral Navigation system. To that end I paid some $160 for an upgrade that took over four hours to load. The system is useless. In the three weeks I have owned it I have had several instances where after putting in an address it says. Sorry no data available. My Garmin Nuvi and Google maps found all of those in a very short time. Infiniti needs to fire whoever does that mapping program and use Garmin or Google. Very disappointing in an expensive vehicle.

1 year ago, I noticed my dashboard sticky. I take it to Schumacher West Palm Beach Infiniti to look at it and service advisor says dash looks like it is rotting but cant be a defect because nobody else has had the problem, only in the FX model but has never seen it before in the G35. My car is 2007 and had at the time 45,000 miles approx but could be less because I have never had to clean my car because Infiniti would clean it after every service call. My car is practically garage kept, the service advisor contacts the infiniti consumer and they say they will only cover half of the $1200 to replace the dash. I refused feeling very slighted and moved on...Since then I have always had a problem with a haze on the inside windshield and was told its probably a toxic fume from the breakdown of the plastic in the dash. Now I am concerned for my health and have been very sick with allergies and pneumonia and feel dizzy and lightheaded every time I drive my car and have noticed more cracks around the air vents on the passenger side where the door and dash meet and is chipping away exposing the foam underlayment and this is why I have since contacted Infiniti consumer and they refuse to even look at my car (which they never did the first time year ago) because I refused the half compensation the first time, and told me if if I wanted to contact the Better Business Bureau I could. And I have, I have not heard anything yet. I feel a car of this caliber should maintain better when taken extreme care of, I have had American cars last much longer and feel totally ripped off by wasting twice as much money on my G35 than any other car. I really do like the car except this problem but will not waste my money on another Infiniti again but they dont seem to care about the small pittance of one customer, their customer loyalty and the dealership is less than desired.

2010 Infiniti G37x - The transmission was destroyed by the transmission radiator when it allowed coolant to flow into the transmission, flushing transmission fluid. (1) Sudden thump suggested an unseen road hazard. (2) After 2 hrs garaged and 2 miles: trans would slam into gear, surge forward 3 secs after full stop; shifting began clunking; trans would slip into N and engine rev; finally at ~30 miles engine light lit, and only 1st gear worked. Repair costs = estimated value of vehicle. Separate Review to be submitted on Jim Coleman Infiniti (Rockville, MD) and Infiniti USA.

Infiniti has any type of upgrade or personalization that you want. All you have to do is ask and they will do it for you. The company offers different variety of models so you can find one to fit your needs no matter what your priority is when buying a car at a worthy price for a great traveling vehicle. I wanted something safe to get me from one place to another and the car I got is very sleek and looks very fancy - like the bat mobile but safer and kids love it too! Theres a variety of colors available for inside and outside of the car and its easy to identify in a crowded parking lot. It fits about as much as most small cars - two in front including the driver and 3 in the back. When necessary it can fit more realistically.

Over the last 2 weeks I have developed several bubbles on the dash of my Infiniti FX35. I had previously noticed just a couple bubbles in a inconspicuous area of the dash, so I didnt think too much about it. Since over the weekend they spread like wildfire. I looked it up on the internet - it is a known defect of the adhesive. I promptly called Infiniti Consumer Affairs and they have refused to fix the problem or make right by it. They stated that my warranty was up in May of this year and stated lack of Customer Service Loyalty. Translation: I havent been to an Infinity dealer for service which would prove I am loyal, weak argument. I explained that is because the closest dealer is 40 miles away and I have a mechanic for routine maintenance. I also explained I never received notice of this known defect. It didnt matter to them. I will NEVER buy Infiniti again and STRONGLY recommend you dont either. Their poor customer service doesnt deserve anyones loyalty. Ill go back to Lexus!

I took my car in to the Plaza Infiniti dealership to have recall for airbag replaced which I was told would take 2-3 hours. I was provided a loaner car. Mechanic called 5 hours later requesting if I wanted additional work done on car. My flood light changed, and that they had completed the recall and just need to place the dashboard back on. I didnt receive a call back that day on Monday. I called, left advisor voicemail to see if car was ready. The next day on Tuesday no one called and I called several times and left voicemail. No one return my call. Wednesday around noon advisor called and advised that my dashboard had been damaged during replacing recall, and the dashboard was on back order and I would get a call when it comes in. I was like really, no one advised me this on Monday or Tuesday, these huge hole like the vents in dashboard.Consumer Affairs with infiniti has been no help. There are others waiting on dashboard replacements since back in March. Nowhere in the recall letter do the alert this could possibly happen to your vehicle. I am seeking justice because this is not right. I also called a dealership who advised that the dashboard for M35 has been discontinued. The part is not even in production so how are you promising consumers that this will be fixed.

I purchased a used 2007 FX35 in 2010. During the past year, I have replaced the battery, front brakes, tires, two taillights, had several pieces of plastic trim in the vehicle just pop off, short in the taillights, cam sensors went out, starter went out and it had a hollow noise in the engine under load that service could not identify. It was towed three times in a two week period, one during a vacation five hours from home. I had to pay two deductibles during that time and Fresno Infiniti overcharged me, stating they could not reach the warranty company on a business day during business hours. Convenient since I then had to pay out of pocket to get home and contact the company on my own. Customer Service was no help and the rep even stated she is her own boss and there is no one else above her to contact for resolution. It has 55,000 miles. My 2013 Infiniti JX35 has been at the dealer since May 30th. Twice as I was driving, the IBA (Intellect Brake Assist) engaged and stopped my car and pulled my seat belt tight. There were no cars coming toward me both times. If a car was driving too close behind me, they would have hit me with the kids in the car. It was the first car in the nation to do this, so technicians from Bosch and Infiniti have flown out several times to try and fix the problem. It happened to them too while driving it too. They said it was too much metal on the bridge I was on and the system thought it was another car about to hit me. They are now trying to update the software. Do I really want to rely on software to drive my car safely? Infiniti Consumer Affairs are the most rude, discourteous people I have come across. They said I would have an answer in 5-10 days. It took three weeks. They did not return one phone call. I had to beg an agent to put me through to a supervisor because my agent didnt call me back in a week. Ridiculous. Finally, yesterday after calling back again to see if there was an answer, I was declined. I wanted my full money back and to get back into a QX56 (what I owned previously). I called the BBB. Infiniti does not back up their cars.

I just bought my 2004 Infiniti G35 with get this, only 4K miles on it. The elder lady who drove it before leased it and never drove it. So I have been super happy with the car. Its sexy, it runs great. It has all the bells and whistles brand new cars have coming out today. So cut to the chase, I walk to my car that is parked in front of my house to hop in and run errands. My neighbor is talking to me but I am in a hurry so I just start up the engine. It revved but didnt turn over. No problem, probably didnt hold it long enough. Nope, keeps revving but no turn over. I am thinking, I have gas in the car whats the problem? Maybe a little air in the line sure give it a little gas and it will start. I am telling the car took a 180 from hell and went from being the easily start right up smooth ride to the rev it up like its a freaking 1960 bug engine and then proceeded to smoke. Yay! So naturally I turn the car off immediately (mind you I just paid my car payment lol) and proceed to figure out how I am going to resolve this issue. I called the dealership and was put on hold for forever then It went to voice mail. Called again and a lady picked up. She seemed nice but ended up being a peon robot worker bee. I told her my situation and she said the next available appoint is August 14th. I said that is in 9 days! Can you make an exception, I have to go to work tomorrow and I would at least need a rental car. No sir, but would you like me to make you the appointment? Yeah, that robotic. So I got the manager on the phone and he gave me a couple farm out mechanics and I got on for the next day at 9 am. It is the night before so I got the tow set up and the rental car situation all worked out. I am going to have them look at everything and I am going to pick my next fuel pump, and have them look at my engine because I can tell me motor mounts are loose and my Transmission likes to jump out of first gear a lot as well. I saw that there was a recall for the fuel pump and called Infiniti affairs. The lady took over 30 minutes to find my car and proceeded to tell me that there is no recall and to talk to the dealer. Then she told me there actually IS an AIRBAG recall. Okay great, so glad I called in otherwise my airbags wouldnt be functioning and they said they didnt tell me because I was not linked to my car. So all of you out there reading this, make sure you called Infiniti affairs 1 (800) 662-6200 and make sure you are attached to your car so you will get the recalls. Most Infinitis have a recall of some sort. I will also get my dashboard looked at as I see there are a lot of complaints about that. I would also note to take your car to get serviced at an actual Infiniti dealer. You cannot trust anyone else. If anyone has any questions comments or any advice that would help me with my 2004 Infiniti G35 feel free to email me at **. Thanks for reading!

The Infiniti G series has always been one of my favorite designs. Its sleek and curvy and looks much more expensive than it is. The lakeshore blue color is a perfect combo of gray and blue. My vehicle came fully loaded, and even though the car is almost 9 years old, the features have held up quite well. They were ahead of their time. The car provides a super comfy ride for 5 with plenty of leg room, seat width, arm rests, and cup holders, plus dual temperature controls. Both the car and the dealership experience were excellent. But while I found the perfect car for me, I would have appreciated a greater selection of certified pre-owned vehicles that were low in mileage.

So I bought a 99 Infiniti G20 with only 80,000 miles on it. I knew it needed TLC however, I had no idea the manufacturers decided to no longer make important safety parts and the dealers offered no choices other than go to a junkyard. Any intelligent person knows some things you shouldnt ever purchase secondhand!!! I was going to buy a newer one when my son graduated HS however, I no longer want anything to do with this vehicle. I have found few and far aftermarket items. I cant believe an axle assy more specifically the kingpin bearing is nowhere to be found. I AM AT A LOSS FOR BOTH ME AND MY CUSTOMERS ATM!

I have a 2005 FX35 and it is out of warranty. There are bubbles that appeared within the last 6 month in my dashboard that look unsightly. I do not eat in my car and do not use any air freshener and do nothing else that could have caused this problem. My car is a luxury car. Corporate has called me back and told me that there is nothing they can do about this because it is out of warranty. I am rather upset because this part of my car should have held up better. As of now, I would never buy another Infiniti based on the response from this corporate representative.

I bought a 2000 Infiniti I30t on 9/6/2011 as is but within 2 days, the cars check engine light came on. I thought it was simple so I took it to a certified and well-known mechanic in the city. They cleared it and said the car is fine but a few days later the light came back on. The real problem with that is with the check engine light on the cars transmission behaves weird and the engine revs without the car moving after its been driven for a while. The mechanics did not want to charge for just driving the car for a few hours to replicate the issue so they gave it back and said if the light comes back then we have a bigger issue at hand. They told me to check out Consumer Affairs to see how I can go about handling this issue.

Today I was driving (fortunately only 20-25 mph) and when coming to a bend in the road before going uphill, my steering wheel locked and would not move at all! It caused me to go up onto the sidewalk and when the steering wheel finally went loose so I could turn it again (after wiggling it side to side as hard as I could it somehow released), but it was too late as I couldnt get the car turned fast enough so I crashed into an iron fence. There is significant damage to the fence and my car may be totaled. I am sharing my story because I dont ever want someone else to have this happen to them and end up getting hurt or hurting someone else. It was horrible to not have any control of the vehicle and not be able to do anything about it.

We purchased 2 Infiniti sedans at the same time last year. We were sold on the hassle free prepaid maintenance plan. It sounded like a great option. If you use it, you pay no additional charges, if you dont use it and decide to trade the car, youre able to get your money back...Sounded great and we purchased the plan with both vehicles. However we decided to trade in one of the cars at an alternate dealer about a year after purchase and we returned to Infiniti of Cool Springs to start the refund with John ** in Finance. The car in question was rarely driven and never even reached the first dealer free initial service mileage requirements, so I expected to get the full refund, however I was told its prorated based on time not use of the product, so I agreed to the prorated refund of a product never used. Needless to say, what was supposed to be a 30 day refund period has now rolled into the 6th month of working with John ** who became non responsive at the dealer level and I ultimately had to escalate to Infiniti Consumer Affairs. To date I have yet to receive a refund. Buyers beware of this prepaid maintenance plan if you remotely think youll trade the car prior to the plans full use.

We bought our 2008 G35X new. At 23K miles (mostly highway), we started getting warning lights for VDC off, slip and brakes. It was still under warranty, so I took it to the dealer (Dorschel Infiniti of Rochester) who said they had to charge me for the inspection if they couldnt find anything wrong. After inspecting, they said the only problems were that the rear pads had only 2mm left and the fronts 4mm. They strongly recommended a brake job for $379 per each axle. I was an automotive engineer for 20 years so I questioned this, but was told that 25K miles was normal for rear brakes and 27K miles normal for fronts. Given the long and horrible history weve had with this dealership, I was more than a little skeptical.I contacted Infiniti customer service, who told me that 30K miles was normal brake life and they werent going to do anything. She also said that she just had a similar complaint, so she recently checked into it. When I told them that they were about to lose a customer, the rep asked if there was anything they could do to keep us. When I said, Yes, replace my brakes, she said they wouldnt because brakes are wear items and arent covered by warranty at all.

I had the check engine light come on, so I took the car back. They said, Its just low on oil. I was concerned because the oil had just been changed 2,400 miles earlier. Four thousand miles later, the engine spun a bearing, and I took it to them and said there was a problem prior to warranty expiring. They told me, Sorry. Sorry is what the quality of Infiniti cars and service is. I will never purchase another Nissan or Infiniti product ever again. The CD stopped working years ago, Ive replaced brakes a thousand times, it drinks oil like water, and worst of all, the interior must be made from the worst of all leather look-alikes. The passenger door panel is pulling away and the arm rest, and sides of front seats have all split. I weigh about 106lbs so its definitely not due to heavy pressure points. I have contacted Infiniti Consumer Affairs more than seven times. With today (11/18) have four repeated phone calls. In my attempts to discuss the recent $5,000 price drop on the G37x, both consumer affairs and IFS both refused to discuss the issue. However were very good at telling me that the other entity was responsible to address. Marco at extension ** in IFS is an idiot. The entire consumer affairs department has less acumen than Marco who isnt qualified to work at a fast food drive-thru.At the heart of this matter is the following. Within the last 60 days, Infiniti reduced the price of the G series by $5,000. That price reduction has sent the used car and wholesale value of prior model years down by an equal amount. In return, my 2012 has a lease residual value on 5/11/2015 at $24,000. However, the vehicle this morning appraises at $2,000 BELOW that amount now, thus creating $5,000 in negative equity without my agreement. Any current G series lease is now $5000 deeper into their lease. I spoke to the general sales manager at one of the Infiniti dealers here in Metro Detroit, and he chuckled and said they screwed you and everyone else. Never will I drive, lease or rent from Infiniti or Nissan again. This is fraud and theft as far as I see it.

I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan V6. The air system is stuck on auto and my audio (radio) and rear defroster no longer works. I have no control whatsoever on the entire air system. The problems started in 2009, as I lost control off, and on until about six months ago when everything went dead. I had recall work done on the audio circuit board in 2003 and now that Infiniti dealership in Guelph told me that it is the same part which is at fault. This diagnosis cost me 57 dollars. I called the Woodchester dealership in Mississauga that did the original warranty work and they told me that they no longer will back their work because the Voluntary Service Campaign Audio Finisher Circuit Board recall is over with. This is a total scam that Nissan has managed to sidestep even though they issued a recall. They replaced my part, all right, but this same part was again faulty and an obvious health and safety concern exists here. As far as I am concerned, they should once again replace this faulty part since they probably replaced it with a new one that again is faulty. How can I possibly drive this car when no front windshield air or rear defrost exists especially with winter fast approaching. The least they can do is pay for the part again since the dealership wants to charge me approximately 1700 dollars to replace both the circuit board and the radio. If I dont get satisfaction out of this I will never buy a Nissan vehicle again. There are so many people complaining about this. It is pretty laughable that no one from the government has forced the issue. I guess that will be my next step. Whats your move Nissan? Are you gonna take the responsibility for the vehicle you made or are you gonna wait till someone gets killed because they cant see the road while they are driving?

I purchased used Infiniti with 27k miles on it, and few days later noticed Vibration at highway speeds and during accelerations. I balanced and rotated tires multiple times with no improvement in vibration. Decided to take it to Infiniti dealership. There are 2 dealerships in the area. Both dealerships refusing to diagnose my car. All they do is balance tires and saying everything is fixed or just keep denying that there is vibration. They simply refuse to take car and diagnose it as it will require taking suspension apart and checking each part individually and can take time do.Since it is not 1 hour diagnosing job they just lie into my face that balancing fixed it or that they can’t feel anything. They will not even take it for normal test drive. My car under bumper to bumper warranty but dealership simply denying me service. I am forced to take car to independent mechanic to diagnose issue and then pay for repair myself. I buy cars every 3 years and will never bring my business to Infiniti again. I paid more money for the car because of warranty still active and just refuse to fix it. Service manager at the Infiniti of Novi is just rude and obnoxious. Infiniti is a scam and not a luxury brand. Stay away.

2015 Infiniti Q70 not well executed. Engine and Transmission do not perform with precision as the Q50 or other models do. Its sluggish and non responsive. Has stupid settings for Economy and Sport, which do nothing except either make the car jumpy or more sluggish. The Navigation system is very complex and cannot find Places (aka Points of Interest). E.g. it could not find of my bank locations (Chase) near me, even though there are 5 within a 4 miles radius. The nearest it found was 60 miles away. It could find the ATMs that my has. If you do not have an exact address, its almost impossible to find anything. It is as what in it is a primitive system. My portable GPS thats 10 years old has more accuracy. The answers I get from the dealer are all BS and they try to jawbone with a bunch of lame excuses. So, no satisfaction.

The overall smooth touch of this vehicle sticks out from any other model. There are many upgrades from having a sunroof added to having leather seats put in. You can also have a front or rear camera added if needed. The passenger capacity has enough room inside for luggage and passenger. You can even carry a pet if you like. The seats adjust just fine.

Infiniti FX35 2012 - Fantastic car, good stability and handling in inclement weather and windy conditions. The controls on the steering wheel are also easy to use. The cameras are helpful in tight spaces as well. The built-in map program works fairly well but you need to pay to update it annually. The car can go almost 500 miles on a single tank of gas for a road trip. The car is a mid-size SUV that handles a lot of items in the cargo area. It is easy to pack different types of items. The car travels well for tall individuals 64 or so in the front sears. The Bose sound system is fabulous too. However, the car does not have intuitive windshield wipers. The exterior mirrors are not heated and they freeze over when it is sleeting. The little gadget box where the lighter is has no purpose as well.

Ill have it FIXED again. Hmmm fixed...right.Updated on 07/16/2016: Well its been a couple of weeks update. I called 07/15/16 to tell them I had fixed the car. It cost me but I would pay them Aug 1 my July 1 bill. They said no. That if I didnt pay the full amount they would disable my starter. WELL...AN HOUR LATER I CHECKED AND YES ONCE AGAIN STRANDED WITHOUT TRANSPORTATION. I am a single 32 yr who has to not only figure out a way around but I have PTSD. Infiniti FX35 Dashboard bubbling - I got screwed by Infiniti. My dashboard started bubbling back in 2016 so I contacted Infiniti and told them about the problem only to be told that my car was out of warranty and that they could not do anything about it. But yesterday 10/23/17 I had my car serviced and was told by the dealership that the Bubbling was a recall issue. I was never told by Infiniti that this was a recall or an extended warranty was out for the bubbling issue. Im so disappointed in Infiniti because I never thought that they would leave their customers hanging on a expensive repair and not let us know in writing that this was an issue that they could repair. The fact that I contacted them back in Sept. of 2016 about this issue and their reply indicated that since I no longer had an warranty on the vehicle was why they could not fix it. They never mention that an extended warranty was out to fix this issue or when that extended warranty ended. So Im stuck with this ugly dash in a car that is suppose to be of luxury. Im hurt about the whole thing but at least now I know to never buy another one. Shame on you Infiniti! Look at all the repeat customers you could have had.

Consumer Affairs is a complete joke. My 2019 Q50 Red Sport has never drove straight which was bought with 49 miles on it and addressed 4 days later but was told its road crown then set up to drive this way then educated guess of bent strut and has had 3 sets of tires now. They dont acknowledge independent shops service records only the dealerships. They claim I was in a collision causing this damage however there is no evidence of it and they cant acknowledge defects. They said for months I had a bent strut when several of my own inspections said lower control arm has play.Dealership still tried claiming this part was fine and didnt see the grease seeping out of the bushing or the high pressure fuel lines leaking. Following day they magically acknowledge the lower control arm needs replaced due to the bushing. Exactly what my service records pointed to 7 months earlier. Dont trust Consumer Affairs or manufacturer dealerships. Wow guess my mechanics were right. So now they try blaming it on collision and road damage. Im paying for all repairs out of pocket and getting rid of the car that has too many problems. Dealerships cant diagnose issues properly but can break a engine cover lol.

This is what we sent Infiniti in Aug. after yet another repair in 2 years. My car is a lemon. Since purchasing it 2 years ago, it has been in to have the brakes looked at & repaired at least 7 times! We first had the dealership that we purchased it from look at them right after we bought it in 2011 & have since had the Infiniti dealership in town work on the brakes 6 times! 10/29/2011, 1/11/2012, 4/17/2012, 5/24/2012, 10/24/2012 & recently. We want OUT of this car! The brakes were not the only problem with this car. We had the dash replaced, the rear end was replaced due to a defect which has to be addressed every 40k miles, the windshield wipers do not last past a year, the cruise control doesnt work, the air conditioning was blowing hot air, the car would lose traction in the rain etc., etc., etc. The list is so long. We just heard back from Infiniti about getting out of this car and into a new one, since the dealership says that these problems are unusual and Infiniti said that they will not do anything about this car because it is out of warranty (It has 70k miles on it). We really anticipated them realizing this car is a lemon and should not be on the road since it is a safety issue having a faulty brake system. This is the worst experience we have ever had with a car and the local dealership (there is only 1 in town) and now Infiniti itself! The car is messing up again (the engine is dragging and the gas mileage has dropped which is usually the sign we get when the brakes are going again) and it was only in to get serviced 2 months ago. Hate that the only option here is a lawsuit!

One thing I have expectation is quality customer service. Cochran Infiniti has the idea that get them in get them dont pass on information that a customer could use or want. For instance I found that I was supposed to be enrolled in the portal. I wasnt. In fact the salesman was a yes man while you are there and screw you once you are gone. The Certified vehicle should not have been. I was told by the salesman things like the wheels would be fixed (rim scrapped). He lied the ashtray was going to be fixed and ready as well as the floor mats when I come in for my first service. The salesman lied, the object was to get me out the door, fast. In fact I pointed out the body punch also ignored. The culture at Cochran is not of quality but of getting sales at all cost. Tried to create an account on the customer portal after I found it existed. Unfortunately that was a waste of time. It refused to recognize my VIN and twice was rebuked by customer service. One person even told me I had to provide proof by uploading insurance documentation and registration as proof to the customer portal which I had to access to and wanted their help to create. They said not without proof. So Infiniti refused to recognize me as the owner of the Q50 of a vehicle bought at a dealer for new Infinitis which was supposed to be certified. Bought this vehicle in August. Its May 1. Infiniti has no chain of command and is not proactive and not quick to react if ever.

The television in the back keeps the kids occupied. Great sound system, too. I was able to get a moonroof and really like the comfortable seats. The third row is easy to use and comfortable for adults unlike most third rows for SUVs. It can fit at least six passengers and it has great room leg. The leather seats are soft but do not mess up. The ride is smooth and most people comment on the roominess without being overly big. They have great customer service and prompt reply when customers are dissatisfied. I would probably buy again.

Infiniti has sedans, SUVs, and huge SUVs. The sedans are a bit flashy, I loved the feel of them but they made me feel old! Haha! But I had loved the Infiniti QX4 for a long time before I bought one. I was having a new baby and I wanted a safe form of transportation. My QX4 had all the fun and luxury features I was looking for - heated seats, sun roof, and a nice look to it. I loved it. It was basically a suped up pathfinder, but the colors I just loved. I had a two toned QX4 and leather interior. It lasted me a long time. When I bought the truck it was as is, no immediate personalization. But I had a few things done to it, tinted the windows and changed the interior. My truck was good for a family of four, lots of storage and room. I probably would have liked a third back seat, but then I would lose storage space.

2008 FX-35 leather/vinyl tear on driver seat side front top. Replaced in November 2010 under warranty. About 15 months later the same tear in the same area again. Went back on March 1, 2013. Was told my warranty was expired on 03/05/12 and my extended warranty would not cover it. Also, if it happened under a year after if was repaired I could have it fixed at no charge. Around October 2011, both the driver and passenger seat bottom was replaced due to excess cracks and tears. Now 2 years later having the same problem. Poor quality in the leather/vinyl seating.

I have an Infiniti G25 and the steering lock unit failed. I took the car to Infiniti Lynnwood and Brian told me it would cost $2,263.53 to fix it. I did some checking and I saw that this part was recalled on some Nissan cars and that Infiniti refused to recall it even though they are the same just that Infiniti is the Luxury side of it. The scam is that the dealership is the only ones that can fix the problem so they charge outrageous prices so I am trying to put together a class action lawsuit against Infiniti. If anyone has had this problem you can email me.

Got this JX35 in November of 2013 and have had the following issues with less than 30k miles on the car. Door molding was falling off so it was replaced as the plastic was bowed. Both sun visors fell down and were replaced with new ones. Roof rail seals came out and when I asked the dealer to pop it back in, they told me the whole rail had to be replaced. The instrument cluster and dashboard shut down and restart while driving. And it is very noticeable at night or early morning as I have no gauges to follow in the dark. So the navigation computer was replaced but has not resolved the issue yet and the dealer doesnt know what to do with it. The transmission was very sluggish and when I asked the dealer to check I got a call that it has to be replaced and it was. Now, 5k miles later its doing it again. There have been a couple of recalls in the middle, with recalls on the recalls as the service adviser put it, so they have replaced a bunch of door latches on the car again and again. The latest one is my key. Neither key will work, so I cannot get in the car using the key-less feature and I have a very hard time starting the car even when I hold the key near the start button. The GM at the dealer claims they have informed Infiniti Corporation and I have been waiting for a response for 9 months now! In summation, if I can get in the car and get it started, I may get stuck on the road in the middle of the night with a broken transmission while not knowing where I am or which way to go because all of my instruments have stopped working. Other drivers wont help because the pieces falling off my car has damaged their car and they are angry. At this point, Infiniti is jeopardizing my life and life of others around me very frequently and without remorse. I guessing this will qualify as a lemon but have to check with a lawyer!

Im having an issue with your service department. I have tried since November to have a refund issue take care of and every time I am promised oh its going to be ok this time. However I have dealt with 3 different service advisors all promising the same yet I am still waiting to see any results. I was overcharged for a service that my pre paid maintenance covered. When I brought it up to the first advisor she basically said it wasnt her job to look it up but I can bring the paperwork in if I can prove it. When I finally got in with the paperwork guess what she no longer worked there. Astonishing. I was then sent to another advisor who promised me he would send this up. Didnt hear anything from him so in may I came into your dealership to find out whats going on and guess what he doesnt work there now either. Now on to my third interaction again let me make some copies and sent this up. Which leads me to today my call to find out whats going on to only be told by your associate there is nothing I can do over the phone let me send it up. I explained at this point that is unacceptable. I need assurances. The service advisor continued to talk over me and showed no empathy to how ridiculous this process has been for me and even decided to tell me there is nothing that he can do for me and hang up on me. I really hope those calls are recorded because this is not how you should treat your customer. Thoroughly disgusted. I bought a G37 IPL edition not because I like to have an 700 to 800 payment. It was because I thoroughly believed in the brand but after this I will never step foot on another Infiniti dealership ever again.

The Infiniti Q70 and Q70L are a line of mid-size luxury (executive) cars from Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance luxury division Infiniti. Its essentially an update to the Infiniti M series with minor cosmetic changes. This car is very good usable for me. I like the design of this car very much. It is flexible and very elegance. Price of this car was in my budget as well. This car is good at handling and nice throaty v-8. It has sensual exterior too. Getting in and getting out is very easy. Car has class and convenient instrumentation. Great Bluetooth and nav. Very comfortable and great styling too. It looks like one of a kind and its very reliable car. However, its hybrid lacks finesse and gas mileage could be better. The 2017 Infiniti Q70 is a viable alternative to American and German cars of the same ilk, but lacks their personalities.

They were sports cars so they didnt have much for seating. The most was a four-seater but very small. Most of them were just two-seaters which is what I would expect from a legit sports car. Ive never heard of a car company that likes to screw their customers as much as the Infiniti car company. Before buying any Infiniti thats before 2021, you should know that if you get one with a panoramic roof it doesnt open. Who invest money in a panoramic roof and doesnt allow it to open? You should also know that if you ever want to get Apple CarPlay, or whatever the Android version of that is, you cant. Infiniti decided to be the only car company that would not allow compatibility with any aftermarket product. If youre OK with all of that, then its a very beautiful car. If beauty is all you are looking for and not a car that actually makes sense or a company that likes their customers, then this is the car for you.

I just bought a new Infiniti 2015 Q50. The car is advertised to give me 19 mpg in city, 29 mpg highway and a combined 22mpg city-highway. This vehicle gives me a highway mpg of 12mpg. I drove the car for 1.5 hr just to test it and it did not improve. I took the car to the dealer I originally bought from and they say that the EPA reviews and that they are not responsible for that review. I believe that is unreal for a car to provide less than half mpg than what it suppose to. I called Infiniti and they said the same thing and only provided me with few tips on how to improve it.Also my front passenger seat makes a weird sound (something loose) when I head a pothole. The dealer said that all Q50 makes the same sound and there is nothing they can do in that case. Its a manufacturer problem. I have been with the car for just a month and I am not happy. I would not recommend purchasing this car. I am paying a lot of money to have this type of issue.

Re: 2014 Infiniti QX60 – MILEAGE 21213. Let me begin by saying I am a loyal Infiniti owner. I purchased a 2013 JX35 from Infiniti of Lynbrook and every experience with them was professional and delightful. Their customer service was exceptional. The only reason why I went to Infiniti of Manhasset is because Infiniti of Lynbrook didn’t have the vehicle that I was interested in purchasing. I assumed that I would receive the same great service at Infiniti of Manhasset so I took a chance with them. I am sorry I took a chance with Infiniti of Manhasset and regret purchasing my vehicle with them.On December 5, 2016 I visited Infiniti of Manhasset interested in seeing and test driving the above referenced vehicle. I was introduced to Michael ** the Used Car Manager and I explained that I was approved by my credit union and I had an Infiniti JX35 before so I was interested in a QX60. He introduced me to the Sales Consultant Benjamin **. Benjamin ** accompanied me on a test drive and we walked around the vehicle to check for dents, scratches and any other issues the vehicle might have had. It was approximately 8pm at that time and dark outside making it impossible to see all the issues the vehicle might have had.I told Benjamin ** that I was interested in purchasing the vehicle and the negotiating began. Michael ** explained that there was an $850 “Dealership Fee” and was insisting that I allow him to run my credit through his banks. I explained that I was approved and had no reason to run my credit again. Furthermore, I was unwilling to pay the $850 “Dealership Fee” and I wanted to know why he was so adamant in wanting to run my credit through the banks. Michael **s tone changed to an aggressive manner and he started explaining to me that he wasn’t making any money off of me! He said that he had many hits online for this vehicle and didn’t need my sale. I could take it or leave it. He was going to sell that car. He said the $850 is his commission and the Banks give him a kickback with every inquiry. I told him that I was in the process of purchasing a home and that I didn’t want my credit run again and that I wanted to negotiate the car price based on the listed online price $33,489. In the end $33,249 was agreed upon in addition Benjamin ** and I noticed the vehicle had a small dent and chipped paint in two areas and it was told to me that that would be fixed by Thursday December 8, 2016 when I pick up the vehicle at 11am.Moving forward to Thursday December 8, 2016 I arrive at approximately 2:30pm with my husband Marcus **. We take a look at the vehicle and there is dried gum on the back passenger side of the vehicle, the cup holders were filthy with a blue sticky paste and it was apparent that the car was NOT detailed it had been washed but no special attention was taken to present this car to its new owner. A careful review of the vehicle in the daytime revealed that the rims on the vehicle are scratched and dented. I did not notice this discrepancy on Monday December 5, 2016 when I originally saw the vehicle. I explained that I was unhappy with the rims on the vehicle and my husband asked if they could take clean rims off of another vehicle and switch my rims. Michael ** explained that he could not do that and back in the aggressive, condescending, rude tone he had on Monday said that fixing the rim would cost him money and he wasn’t doing that. He said that he would have the rim detailed the same day that he would have the chipped paint fixed. But he wasn’t spending any money to fix the rims because that wasn’t discussed on Monday. I told him that Benjamin and I didn’t see the rims because it was dark in the parking lot and that shouldn’t matter. My husband explained that he could lose the deal over a rim and again Michael ** went on to explain, continuously mentioning that he could sell this vehicle to someone who was not present in the dealership with a check ready to purchase. Michael ** repeatedly expressing how someone else could purchase this vehicle made me feel as if my money was not wanted or needed in your dealership. I was not applying for a loan I walked in with money to purchase this vehicle outright. Your Used Car Manager made me feel as if my business wasn’t wanted. Could it be because I am **? Was he speaking to me in a rude condescending manner because he could care less about his customers? It is unprofessional to tell a customer that you are not making any money off of them! I believe he made no effort to correct the paint job prior to pick up, I believe he didn’t ensure the vehicle was detailed prior to the 11am pick up time, I believe he saw the rims were scratched and dented but could care less because I am a ** Woman. I am sure if I were a ** Woman he would have never spoken to me in the manner in which he did.Michael ** made me feel like he could care less about my bank check. That I wasn’t important because if I was he would have walked through that vehicle himself to make sure that it was at Infiniti of Manhasset’s standard! His condescending tone made me very uncomfortable and I spent the entire evening regretting my purchase and wishing I went back to Infiniti of Lynbrook where I had purchased my 2013 JX35 two years prior. No one should be left to feel like they are less than or unimportant. When Michael ** left Benjamin **s office we heard him telling the other Infiniti employees that we were complaining about the dented rims and that he wasn’t going to fix or change any rims laughing about it like if we were a joke. This infuriated me! He could have at least waited until we left before he chose to talk about us. The Sales Consultant Benjamin ** was very helpful. He test drove the vehicle with me. He went through all of the vehicles features and he explained that he would handle scheduling my future maintenance appointments. I will never purchase another vehicle from Infiniti Manhasset. As a Correction Officer I fully intend on expressing my horrible experience with this dealership to my co-workers to ensure none of our over 9,000 Officers never have to deal with this type of disrespect. I fully intend on communicating with Infiniti’s corporate office and consumer affairs about my experience with Infiniti of Manhasset.

I usually never leave reviews but have been compelled by the terrible service by Infiniti and awful product that I hope to save just one person from what we have had to deal with. We bought our QX60 and shortly after started having problems (shuttering, ceiling fabric coming off, constant rattling from the moon roof and door, plastic in the back was faded and the splashguards painted kept peeling along with other issues). Infinitis basic response from numerous visits to the dealership to fix was basically its your problem to deal with and now that I look at their reviews that seems to be the companys motto. We have had so many problems with our 2013 JX35 and are so disappointed in the quality of this car. It started with airbag problems and being told by the service department that it was operating normally. We took pictures and videos of the way it was operating and still we were told it was working as it was designed to. Finally looked up recalls myself and found where a recall had indeed been issued. I called our service advisor and he was totally unaware of this. Sad that a customer has to bring such an important matter to the people we trust with servicing our cars. When Infiniti of Gwinnett obtained the new part, it was installed but we continued to experience the same problem. We took the car in again and they said they had made an adjustment and we should have no more issues with it. Nope, problem was still there. Again we took videos and pictures for them. We were informed that everything had been checked and it was working as it should. Frustrated, we bypassed the dealership and reported it directly to Infiniti. Infiniti did send a company engineer to look at it. When I met him at the dealership, he immediately started lecturing me as to the dangers of airbag deployment, how it was the last resort in a collision, etc. He even showed me a 5-minute video describing the danger. I again stated that I knew the airbag wasnt operating correctly because it would go on and off intermittently. He said it could be from the way we were sitting in the seat. Sounded a little ridiculous to me, as if they were just trying to make a different argument every time they were challenged. I said I would not drive the car unless it was fixed. He did some calibrations and we have had no problems since. Other issues with the car includes leak above drivers door (tube running down from sunroof was not connected at the factory). Rubber on passenger side roof line came out (also done improperly at the factory), entire piece of the side where it was coming out had to be replaced and repainted. Have a continuous rattle coming from around the sunroof. We have had it in the shop no less than five times and is currently there again. We are being told that the magnets between the cross bars and the sunroof are too small and they are going to have to replace them. This last time a representative came and rode with me so they could verify the rattle. It was noted by her and taken to the dealership. They called three days later and said it had been fixed. She was on her way to drop it off when she heard the rattle so she turned around and took it back. Currently, I have not had my car for over a week. Also while they were trying to locate the problem, they found a loose bolt in the console (again something not done properly at the factory). It speaks to the amount of time that my car has been in the shop when they are coming to me to pick up the car for repairs. This last time they brought me the QX60 as a loaner car. I noticed immediately that the transmission is much smoother on it. My JX acts like it is always searching for the right gear the tach revs up and drops quickly and revs again. I talked to them about the significant difference and the mantra was Its operating as it should. They stated maybe the CVT may have been tweaked some on the newer cars. Its very obvious to me that this car is a lemon. Dealer said they could do nothing for us as far as replacement. The General Sales Manager said they could possibly give us the trade in value and sell us a vehicle (if the salesman agreed) at dealer cost. He stated that was as much as they could do so therefore, I am going to file paperwork under the Georgia Lemon Law. Bottom line, I strongly suggest that the Infiniti JX35 not be purchased. It is also worth noting that they have replaced the JX35 (after only one year) with the QX60. Rebranding maybe? Could it be due to problems with the JX35? Just very odd, dont you agree?

My address should have been updated in their system since I frequent the Infiniti Dealer for regular maintenance. I was also surprised that this was never brought to my attention by the Dealership. For Infiniti to be luxury automotive dealer, they dont value the relationships of their customers. I was never notified of this cosmetic issue and did not receive adequate details on why. This had really upset me.

I recently purchased my 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe with only 66,000 miles on it, thinking Ive got a great deal. Well since day one of the purchase of this car, I have had problems with the radio and the air controls, as I see everyone else has with these cars. At first, my radio would not work at all and the air is stuck on auto 75. Now day to day, its a surprise every time I get in my car, whether the radio is going to work or not. When it does come on, however, I can only control the volume from my controls on my steering wheel. This now seems to have gone into a further problem which i have read also from another persons statement about the battery. It has now since 2 days ago, it started hesitating on starting as if the battery were going dead. All my lights come on in my dash and I have to restart my car to get them to go off. This seems to be a very big problem with these cars and under warranty or not, I think this issue should be addressed and corrected by Infiniti. With so much going on, I honestly dont even feel safe driving this car because from the other statements, it seems to start just as mine has and goes into something even worse. So what will it take for Infiniti to correct this problem? I am very disappointed.

There have been many different styles that I have gotten over the years and I appreciate all the variety they offer in the line of cars. Every new car has a wide variety of updates and the options to personalize make it very easy to use the many options the car has as well as making the driving experience more enjoyable. The car gives plenty of room for passengers in the front and the back without anyone feeling cramped in as well as ample arm rests and cup holders. Nice features on the car such as sun roof and other nice things like a back up camera lots of new updates with each car that comes out very sleek modern look.

I recently purchased a 2008 Infiniti G35. It was in great condition all around except for some interior paint that was coming off on the inside door handles and on the steering wheel. I figured this was from normal wear and tear and I can live with it. I could possibly fix it up later down the road. Well after having the car for about a month, I noticed that I had paint coming off in my hands when I drove to and from work. I work about 11 miles from my home, only about a 15 min drive. Not far. The paint on the inside door handles and on the steering wheel was a rubber type of back paint, and it was literally coming off in my hands most of the time when I drove. Not normal wear and tear. I did a little research on this problem and it turns out this is a known problem with 07 and 08 and it was fixed in late 08 and 09 models. Great, Ill take it in since Im still under warranty and have them fix it. Before I take it in, I called Infiniti USA, their customer service number, and talked to a lady on the phone and told her about my issue. She told me that she has seen this before. It is a known defect, and to just take it into my local dealership and they will replace the parts. I read about this online and it was the answer I was expecting so I said thanks. The next day, I drove to Tim Dahle Infiniti in Salt Lake City. When I got there, I am told that this is wear and tear and is not covered. I explained that this is not normal wear and tear and is a known defect. He says he can no longer cover this issue, and when Infiniti has done it in the past, it was under a goodwill clause where they do it only for people that have had a long history with Infiniti. The service manager recommends that I contact Infiniti USA to see if they can approve it to be done. Well, I explained that I had already contacted them and they said to just bring it in. We gave them a call again. I get a different story this time, and have to file a request to have a specialist get back to me about this issue. About a week later, I get a call saying this will not be honored or covered under the manufacturers warranty. I specifically came from an Acura TL that I had previously owned to Infiniti because of this lightly better engine specs and on the recommendation of several friends and family members that have Infiniti, but I never had an issue like this with Acura. For a $40,000 car, you would expect a car dealer to honor the warranty that they put on the car, especially for an issue that is well known and documented. They even changed the interior paint in newer models so this problem doesnt happen anymore. With plenty of records online of people having this taken care of under warranty, I find it hard to believe they can do it for some cars and not for all. I am extremely unhappy with how this had turned out. I am hoping Infiniti learns from this and will cover it eventually but well see. For now, I will not recommend Infiniti to anyone again. If anyone knows of a way to convince them to cover this, or any other advice, I would love to hear about it.

I purchased a 2016 QX80 from the Infiniti dealership in Manhasset NY in 2016. Roughly 12 months after our purchase we noticed various paint chips that have occurred in random places around the car in places that cannot be explained by wear and tear or debris impact e.g. inside the door jamb in all 4 doors and the back of the trunk. We brought the car top Infiniti and were denied warranty coverage for the paint chips. We since brought the car to several pain places that all immediately recognized the issue of a sloppy or poorly dried paint job. Now almost a year later, there are many more paint chips and many of existing chips have begun to rust. Nissan/Infiniti is denying our claim.

I love my Infiniti. There is plenty of easy access to great seat belts and tinted windows. The car has a very long life for its battery. You receive a couple year warranty. The car lives up to all internal an external expectations. The quality of each accessory of the car and its internal parts speak very high of the car industry in general. You can fit 2-6 people in this car comfortably. Lots and lots of leg room and each seat is heated when its cold and cool to the touch when its hot out. The safety features rank 1 in the future car industry. Lexus, Audi, Buick cars that I felt would live up to my expectations of cars in the future didnt make or meet my approval.

The model we own and have for sixteen years is Q45. It is the best car we have ever owned with never a mechanical problem. It is a beautiful car as is all their models. Being an older model, it doesnt have the modern technologies as newer models, but what it does have is sufficient for us. We bought the car right out of the showroom without adding any upgrades. I am sure if we wanted to wait, we could have added upgrades but it was fine as is. Our model is a five passenger and gives us plenty of room. Now that we have grandchildren the car seats fit very well and the kids are very comfortable.

I leased a QX50 2019. July 16. 4 days in I got a flat. Infiniti towed my car to Kelly Infiniti. I went in for a surgery and in hospital-I had trust, they said my car had a scratch they would repair, I was home in bed not able to drive for 3-4 weeks. A single BC woman. They had my car for 25 days. My car came back with the whole drivers side repainted and horribly! This is ongoing since July, no one is owning up to this shoddy paint job and saying I bought the car that way I guess. Kelly Infiniti did it...Herb Chambers I bought the car from says they are with me...but Im on my own. No one wants to help me. Infiniti affairs cannot do much more for me because No one is admitting a horrible thing. I have a loaner and they say the car is mechanically good. But I take the hit for a terrible paint job??? They will not take the car back and its going to cost me money although I had nothing to do with this. DO NOT BUY AN INFINITI... I am heartbroken. They will pass the buck and not help you. It is so sad...

My EX 35 has 55k miles. Steering makes groaning/thumping sound when turning right and going over bumps. Took it to dealership (Lupient in Minneapolis) and was told this is due to problem with steering box and will have to be replaced at cost of $2,100. Asked about warranty and was told steering was out of warranty at 50 k miles and that existing drivetrain warranty (6 years or 70k miles) would not cover. Was told to contact Infiniti consumer affairs. Did so with same result. Steering is most critical system on a car (as wings are to airplanes); this car has not been abused and Ive never encountered such a problem in any of the ten cars Ive owned (4 of which have been Nissan/Infinitis). Ive found internet references to this problem with this car - this must be a manufacturer defect. Is Infiniti copying the GM strategy of rebuffing serious safety complaints until serious problems occur? I would like for infiniti to make good on this issue and help me repair this problem.

I didn’t want for it to come to this l, but I feel like others should be warned. In Aug 2016 I leased a 2016 Q50 from Infiniti on Camelback. I love my car and planned to purchase it after the lease, up until these last couple months. In the beginning of October 2018, it started running hot and overheating, on October 24th took it into Infiniti of Scottsdale for an inspection and they gave me the all clear saying they couldn’t replicate the issue and nothing was wrong with my car after having it for 2 days. The service tech told me if it continues to call them back and bring it up.On my way home from the dealership, my car was running hot but not overheating and when I looked in the coolant reservoir, it was pretty much empty after just being filled at the dealership. I called and the service tech said to email him the photos which I did and never received a call back (it was the weekend). I continued to drive my car just adding 1/4 quart coolant, if not more, a day until the “low oil pressure, stop vehicle” light came about 8 days later (800 miles). I then had my car towed to Infiniti on Camelback where I purchased the car and had them look at it for the same issue. I was told that there was sludge in my engine and I had “lack of maintenance.”Before even being asked to provide all my receipt of oil changes, they noted on my car that there was lack of maintenance. They changed the oil at Infiniti on Camelback, still couldnt replicate the losing coolant and overheating issue and once again sent me on my way and told me to continue driving the car. Fast forward to Thanksgiving Day (4 days after getting my car back), we are driving to our families in Surprise Arizona from Chandler Arizona and about 45 minutes into the drive, I try accelerating and it doesn’t do anything. I pull into the suicide lane as I couldn’t do anything else and once the car finally hit about 20 mph the motor seized and started knocking. As it being Thanksgiving, Infiniti on Camelback is closed, we called the Infiniti towing line so they could tow the car in and we would have someone just come get us so we could still enjoy Thanksgiving. We were only quoted 90 minutes for the tow, but sat on the I10 for almost 4 and a half hour. I called Camelback the next day and spoke to the service manager. They refused to give me a loaner, and said that I would need to purchase a battery for $250 and $759 to break my car apart, before they could start the diagnostic on my car. That is ridiculously high for a battery for 1 and why am I being charged labour for something that should be under warranty?I purchase a battery from Infiniti of Peoria for $150 and self installed it. They still refused to do any diagnostic unless I paid them the $750 to break my car down. As my car in the last month had been given the all clear, and now they were saying I never did oil changes and it was my fault the motor and turbos blew. The service manager was VERY rude to me and just kept repeating “your lack of maintenance,” refusing to listen to anything else I had to say or look at any of my maintenance reports.I didn’t feel comfortable moving forward with them so I transferred my car to Infiniti of Coulter AFTER speaking with a service technician who said he “doesn’t see why warranty wouldn’t approve it because it been checked 2 times in the last month and I have all my oil records. It sound like the coolant is mixing with the oil.” He told me at first if warranty didn’t approve it, but he didn’t see why they would. It would be $350 to pay, easy, told him to go ahead. I still mind you have not had a loaner vehicle. They did the inspection and to my understand they had all my service records and submitted the claim, the claim came back asking for my photo of the top of my engine which brought the charge up to $1400. I asked him what he thought was going to happen and he said he wasn’t sure but he still didn’t feel like it would be denied. After thinking about it, I really didn’t have any other choice and said go ahead.About a week passed and I heard nothing, I called asking if I would be able to get a loaner and he said yeah I should have something Thursday [on Monday]. I said okay and we left it at that. On Thursday I called to see when the loaner would be ready and he said my claim came back denied so I wouldn’t be able to get a loaner and the price on a used engine and turbo would be $14,000 or he could find a new motor but it would be about $14000 plus my $1,400 I already owe them. I’ve called consumer affairs numerous time and escalated it due to the fact they denied it “due to the sludge being in the engine it an automatic denial for lack of maintenance of the vehicle.” Well come to find out the claim was submitted with 2 service records. Of course they would deny it! I asked the service tech to attach the records so they can reevaluate and was told “no amount of service records can change their decision.”Well come back to this week after waiting since the 23rd or December for a call back from a regional supervisor in consumer affairs, I get the call telling me there will be no other communication and that I am not only responsible for a new motor but continue to pay the lease [done on Nov 1 2019] and any damaged that will be due after turning the lease in. So after paying almost $40,000 for the car, I now will have to pay an additional $20,000 for a motor and $470 a month till November. Not only that, I’ve made 3 payment on a car that’s been sitting at Infiniti with no loaner provided, lost out on not only Thanksgiving but Christmas and New Years with my family because I had no transportation to get there. Not only that but I’ve been having to rely on rides to work or paying for Lyfts. I’ve never in my life had such a bad experience with a company. I’ve personally purchased 2 vehicles from Infiniti and in the last 3 years my dad has purchase almost 6. I was a very loyal Infiniti customer but now I will never be back to any Infiniti or Nissan dealership. I’ve spoked with 3 master techs, without even telling them what’s happened to the car just showed them the videos and photos, ever since one of them have said, “there is a leak in my head gasket and coolant is mixed with my oil.” Sludge take thousands of miles to build in an engine, not only was it taken 800 miles prior and given the all clear AT AN INFINITI DEALERSHIP but the oil was changed 3,000 miles prior, and we still have the oil from that change. Not only did this happen to my car but is now happening to multiple other Infiniti’s and has (to my knowledge in Arizona only) happened to at least 6 others who have had their motor replaced already, through warranty or paying for it themselves. Mind you, I also paid for the 3 years or 45000 miles maintenance package for $499 that Infiniti on Camelback never attached to my lease.

For those of you that have the dreaded bubbling dash there is good news. Infiniti issued a recall on the dash problem to be repaired at no expense to the owner. I had an 07 fx35 and the dash bubbled in 2010. Had it replaced and received a warranty for 85000 miles or 8 years. The drivers seat tearing is another issue. They will not fix that, nor will they fix the power seat gear issue.

Brought my car in for regular maintenance, was told airbag switch (OCS) needs replacing - $4,100. Airbags will not function. Told the entire front passenger seat would be replaced. No other means of repair. NHTSA issued recall 7/8/08 for this exact item. My cars make, model and year ARE listed on the NHSTA website as being covered. Infiniti Corp tells me it is NOT covered. Issue elevated to Eric ** in Infiniti Consumer Affairs Dep’t who refused any kind of assistance because car is out of warranty - ignoring the NHTSA campaign entirely. Mr. ** refuses to even discuss why NHTSA would include my car in the campaign but Infiniti does not. They will not do the repair at cost, or at a reduced price, or give it any further consideration whatsoever. Car has been meticulously maintained and all required services completed throughout life of my 2008 EX35 Journey. Took four days for Infiniti Consumer Affairs to make a decision, while dealership hassled me to return loaner car before the matter was handled by Corporate. Worst Customer Service Ever.

I am the sole owner of my 2005 Infiniti G35, bought in new September 2005 and only serviced by the dealer up until recently when I realized they are ripping me off. Since I have had it I must say it is by far the worse vehicle I have owned. It has an oil consumption issue in which the dealer has pretended to know nothing about or that they have never seen before. Every 1000 miles I have to put oil in it. I have replaced the cockpit because of a fuel gauge issue, which they have claimed to never have seen before (but first they replaced the sensors in the fuel tank). I have replaced the rack & pinon steering, and did I mentioned the only thing they could do is refer me to a salesperson to purchase a new vehicle. I will never buy another Infiniti. I wish there was an advocate out there for people like me when manufacturer does nothing.

My 2007 FX35, which only has 50K miles on it, has several cracks on the vinyl part. Per Infiniti dealer, it’s a wear and tear problem. How would a luxury car seat wear just around 40-50K miles on it! I noticed online that it’s a common problem and mainly for the brick color. They need to recall this cheap vinyl, and replace it regardless of warranty.

I was concerned that it may be a chemical reaction and possibly not safe to breathe or would compromise the integrity of the dashboard. After my local dealer told me it was out of warranty, I contacted Consumer Affairs at Infiniti. Boy, they were no help. I do not understand why my vehicle that was serviced at my local Infiniti dealer since it was new - never bothered to fix this issue with the previous owner. I thought Volkswagens customer service was bad - but Infiniti not fixing such a blatant issue with their luxury vehicles is just bad for PR and repeat customers.
