Why Is My Car Overheating?
When it comes to vehicle temperature, your car is designed to run at high temperatures — somewhere between 195 and 220 degrees Fahrenheit, to be exact. And while this may seem hot to you, this is a relatively comfortable temperature range for your engine. After all, tiny explosions are known as “combustion” are responsible for making your car move!
A lot of heat can escape your engine around the cylinder heads at the top of the engine. If this heat isn't kept under control, it can build up and cause your engine to get way hotter than it's comfortable with! Especially if it's already a hot day. If you notice a spike on your vehicle's temperature gauge, it could be a symptom of a few different things.

How to Tell If Your Engine Is Overheating
A rising temperature gauge is usually a tell-tale sign that your car is overheating. However, it isn't always the most reliable signal of overheating. If you suspect things are getting a little too hot, you may notice some of these other symptoms.
A STRANGE SMELL: When your engine overheats, it can cause excessively high temperatures on parts that don't normally handle such intense heat, such as rubber hoses and gaskets, fluids, rubber seals, and more. These parts can start to heat up and emit a hot or very strong smell.
STEAM COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD: If your engine gets too hot, it can boil the coolant designed to keep it cool. This boiling coolant will turn to steam and leak out around the hood.

PROBLEMS WITH THE RADIATOR
Your radiator is responsible for pulling heat away from your engine. If any part of it is damaged or malfunctioning, the heat it would normally pull from the engine gets trapped under the hood, causing your temperature gauge to move into the danger zone.
Additionally, you may have radiator issues if your car is overheating when idle. When you drive, air naturally flows through the radiator, which can support engine cooling. But when you’re idling, issues such as a bad radiator fan clutch or belt can decrease cool airflow across your engine. That’s why it’s vital that you schedule an appointment for radiator service at a Nissan service center near you if you notice your vehicle overheats when idling.

A HOSE IS BLOCKED
The hoses in your cooling system carry coolant to the right parts. If one of the hoses is blocked or clogged, it has a much harder time circulating coolant through the system. And without the right amount of coolant, things can get hot fast.

ISSUES WITH THE WATER PUMP
Your cooling system has a water pump that helps push coolant through the system. If the water pump malfunctions, it will cause your engine to overheat. Common water pump problems include leaks, rust or corrosion buildup, a loose pulley, or a worn-out or missing drive belt.

ISSUES WITH THE COOLANT
Your car's coolant isn't just coolant. It's actually a blend of coolant and water. If this ratio is off or the wrong kind of coolant is in your vehicle, the cooling system can't perform its job properly.

A LEAK IN THE COOLING SYSTEM
Your vehicle's cooling system is designed to keep your engine from getting too hot. Coolant flows through your radiator to help pull heat away from and out of the engine. If there's a leak in the cooling system, then the coolant level may be too low to flow through the radiator and properly disperse the engine's heat.

Dealer: Leckner Nissan of Springfield, VA. Date and Time: 4th September, 2018. (1)KeyTag#**, Invoice#**, I took car in for oil change, when I was about to pick up the car, I was informed and also saw my car was damaged because the person pulling the car in the garage hit the left side of the drywall. It sounds like a horror movie! That will cost me time to come back to repair the left side door. (2) Also one of recommendations on the above mentioned invoice stated: Battery soon $194.00. So I went to Auto Advance to test its battery installed in my Nissan, Auto Advance ran two different tests: one is battery good: 583/600 and 595/600, and another result of running the car: good 583/600. So what did it mean on invoice?

I came across the mission of your company on your website. Since months I have serious and justified doubts on this mission. Let me explain: My Nissan Trail (1 year old - warranty) that I bought last year in January 2016 in Windhoek, Namibia has been under repair since 27 August 2016 until today (!) after an engine jamming. A long story of promises by the local Nissan dealer has been culminating in a statement by the dealer last Monday, 6 March 2017: We are sorry the engine has no compression and we have to bring it back to repair to the engine workshop. So I am waiting now for more than 7 months for my car with now not any prediction when it is going to be ready. And if it is could Nissan warrant that it is functioning? Engine repair is not standard anymore in Europe, but is overtaxed to customers in Africa. All this questions and more in detail I addressed in a written complaint to Nissan South Africa with not any answer so far. I hope you can address this mismatch between your mission and my experience as soon as possible. A frustrated customer.

I brought vehicle (90SX 240) in for service because there was a lifetime warranty on the seatbelt components, which I read included the motor. The motor pulls the chest restraint back when you close the doors of the vehicle. That was my number 1 concern. It wouldnt move! I was haggling with Nissan North Americas consumer affairs about its warranties and what it covered. My case# **, contact person, Richy **. They attempted to sell me a used motor for $600 and when I told them about a new motor for $98. After 15 days they gave me the vehicle back with the seatbelt repaired and a tampered frontend, which I didnt have when I trusted them with my vehicle.

I gave my car for the service which supposed to be under warranty. Initial phone from customer service asking for $300 and later on final bill more than $500!!! For flushing the fuel path!!! The labor rate was $135.0 per hour and calculated for 3 hours. Most of the service person I encounter as novice apprentice!!! And the topping was the annoying service manager (Mike) seems that he was hand picked from. I believe the Nissan business in North Vancouver is very dull and slow and the service manager wants to make money but its a rip off.

Nissan told me they will not pay the shop nor reimburse me. I have always been a Nissan customer. I have always told everyone Nissan was the way to go when buying a car. Now the hell with that. I own a 2003 350z Touring and the outside door handles are complete crap. I dont know if this is planned obsolescence, but the fact that they are made out of cheap plastic and break all the time is ridiculous. Ive been to many Nissan forums and EVERYONE with this model car has had the same issues. Why has there been no recall if its such a popular issue? The plastic on the inside of the handle that holds the spring in place constantly breaks into pieces from the pressure. Also, the window motors have both recently gone out. I had to crawl through the hatch to get in my car today and since the hydraulics went out on the hatch, that made it that much more of a hassle. All of this and I have only had the car for 6 months. What next? I have owned many cars but this is my first Nissan and Ive never felt like there was planned obsolescence like I have with this car. Does anyone know how something gets recalled?

Ive been a LOYAL customer of Nissan for many many years purchasing over $100,000 worth of vehicles, over a period of time, but NO MORE. We purchased a 2011 Nissan Rogue from a dealership in MD, have taken the vehicle there for all services, except tires of course. Weve kept up the maintenance on the vehicle, as our record clearly shows and now that we have an issue, NISSAN Corporate bailed out on us.. YES, they sure did. I just want all Nissan owners and owners to be, know NISSAN should have a massive RECALL on their transmissions for the Rogue. When we started having an issue with the transmission, we of course took vehicle into dealership, which, they in turn, said transmission has been known to overheat, therefore, they installed an additional cooling device on the transmission. However, after having this installed, which was covered under the warranty, it worked for a little while, and guess what? You guessed it, it is now overheating again and of course out of warranty. Perfect timing Mmmmm?? My husband took vehicle back to the MD dealership, they tested and said the transmission is SHOT and may burn up at anytime. WOW, Big surprise, again. We were then directed to contact Nissan Corporate headquarters. We did, they set up a case, dealership submitted papers to Corporate and guess what? They told us to pound sand. Yep, what a wonderful Business Relations we have here! Ive been dealing with customers most of my adult life and to say the least, you would THINK that a major corporation like Nissan would at least work with their customers, but NO! We offered to pay half of repair cost, still NO! To say the least, Im truly disappointed by Nissans response I received today and would NOT recommend anyone buying one of their vehicles, which I have three of them at the moment, until the Rogue transmission cramps out completely. Sincerely, disappointed customer, but NO MORE! You will NEVER get my business, nor will I recommend NISSAN to anyone ever again.... Have a nice day!

With MUCH regret, my husband and I purchased a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder from Pinnacle Nissan in Scottsdale, AZ. I went to that dealership November 2018 thinking I was going to get a Black Friday special, but instead got ripped off. The salesperson stated the pearl color would be an extra charge and we agreed to pay the extra. When I came back to pick the vehicle up because they had to order that color they said, a pure white Nissan Pathfinder was waiting for me. I argued back and forth with the sales manager at that time, and he stated the vehicle I was receiving does not come in Pearl white. I mean they got their sale, so who cares about the color right? I wish to God, I would have just walked away, but I drove off in the white Nissan Pathfinder. In addition, we thought we were purchasing an extended warranty up to 100K miles the reason our payment was outrageous. We were ok with that knowing we would have coverage for a while. The finance guy also talked us into some paint package. I returned to Pinnacle about a year or so later (it should be in the records) to get the paint touch up coverage (not sure of the exact name). We were not given any instructions other than we have that coverage and weve never purchased it with any other vehicles. So, I pull up to the service dept at Pinnacle and was met by the rudest person Ive encountered in a while. He said your car is dirty! Theres a car wash down the street! Go and come back! Well, I was under the impression they would wash it at the dealership, and I was in a hurry on a Saturday with a lineup of errands. I did as he barked out for me to do and returned the vehicle. Pinnacle, please work on your customer service! Its important! I then visit ABC Nissan in Phoenix, AZ in 2021. The second row would not collapse, and we were told it was not covered by the warranty. What? A 2018 with coverage up to 100K miles? Well, guess what, we are NOT covered up to 100K miles. Not sure how we got swindled into paying an outrageous car payment with little to no warranty coverage? So, I call my nice “go to” service advisor Tyler at Coulter Nissan in Surprise, AZ immediately tried to help me and said he could do a one time goodwill coverage. I didn’t go to him in the first place because I was close to ABC Nissan at the time and somehow thought I would receive good service at any Nissan dealership! Tyler is SO awesome and is the ONLY one who represents Nissan well. Tyler said that ABC Nissan could also use the good will coverage so I wouldnt have to move my car from ABC to Coulter. The salesperson at ABC was horrible and kept quoting different pick-up times for when the vehicle would be ready. This was very important as I was traveling from Phoenix back home to California on tight time restrictions for work. The manager at ABC Nissan, Anthony **, finally intervened and tried to hurry the techs along as the salesperson shouldnt have called and said the vehicle was ready if it wasnt! I was in tears and extremely frustrated at this point as I was given 3 different times the vehicle would be ready. Anthony gave me money to go get lunch and to stall for the technicians to hurry and finish the job that was promised hours before my arrival. After several months, my daughter noticed a bolt sticking up in the seat and the seat belt would not work! We were not surprised there were more problems with this Nissan vehicle! I took the vehicle to Pedder Nissan in Hemet, CA. The technician/manager there stated the bolt was never put back properly by ABC Nissan! Whhaatt?? How dangerous?? ABC Nissan must have rushed to get the car out and carelessly did not put the bolt back properly. I should have taken pictures, but Im sure Pedder Nissan has some. The tech at Pedder was kind enough to fix the bolt at no charge. They provided good customer service as I showed up with no appointment and he got me in quickly.More problems with this new Nissan Pathfinder! Apparently, there is some known CVT issue with the Nissan Pathfinder. This issue/dash/radio would go in and out in my vehicle and was random when the dash/radio would work. I took the vehicle to Temecula Nissan where Alex Campagna assisted me. Apparently, Alex was not aware of the CVT issue? He told me they could not help me unless the dash/radio was actually not functioning at the time the vehicle was in their possession. Of course, when I took it to Temecula Nissan, the dash worked fine. I drove away from Temecula Nissan with no resolution! I go to visit in Phoenix again and I can ALWAYS rely on Tyler at Coulter Nissan. He knew exactly what I was talking about before I could even get it out good! He immediately helped me and was able to charge a minimum fee to fix it. Whenever Im at Coulter and dealing with Tyler, I always feel safe and do not worry about getting taken advantage of! Tyler is just a good person and a good representation of Nissan. I shouldn’t have to go to another state to hope for good customer service from a Nissan dealership! I wish I had purchased our recent vehicle from Coulter, but thought we were getting some special deal at Pinnacle. Worst mistake of our lives! Maybe some internal training is needed throughout Nissan for consistent customer service, complete/accurate work, and knowledge of recalls! I would love to have the Pearl Nissan Pathfinder I originally hoped for, but in the meantime, Tyler has helped make my regrets of dealing with Pinnacle Nissan, ABC Nissan, and Temecula Nissan a little better.

I am having a bad experience with the 2002 Altima 2.5 engine. I have read several complaints that has the same thing in common. The faulty part that Nissan will not replace is the pre catalytic converter that has caused damage to my engine. This is a very expensive fix. I would like to be reimbursed of my out-of-pocket payments that I had to spend to fix the engine, amounting to $2500. I bought the brand-new car. If I could rate Nissan a 0 I would. All around terrible service from the advisors up to management. Brought my vehicle into Pine Belt Nissan of Tomsriver NJ. I had what I believed to be a stress crack across my windshield. The advisor along with the service manager both looked at it, and clearly said they could NOT find any point of impact, obviously with that being said it would be a factory defect. They sent all my info along with photos to Nissan corporate. Who I went back and forth with to have it covered since the glass had NOT been hit. Anyway it had been denied all across the board. Not a single person could provide an explanation on why the glass broke, of course they only work there but know NOTHING. I even asked them if they could Pay half the cost. Again was told NO. I would of happily taken aftermarket glass didnt have to come from the factory. Im guessing Nissan knows nothing of “goodwill”. Customer service is TERRIBLE! They cant even do the right thing for their customers, they would much rather lose them instead. Nissan is pathetic. I would never ever lease or purchase anything from this awful awful company again! Everyone else tell your friends and family! All they could come up with was, Sorry car is not in warranty, spare me Nissan. I will never serve my car in any Nissan service center again. Nissan does not do the right thing and thats the bottom line! Poor product and terrible employees.

I was a loyal Nissan fan after switching from a Honda to Nissan in 2012. Recently the CVT transmission gave up on my 2014 Maxima and I contacted the dealer to then find out the warranty expired at 60,000 miles so I emailed a formal complaint with Nissan headquarters only to receive a templated reply within 12 hours stating their warranty bound goodwill assistance and reimbursement policy which basically came down to me having to cover the repairing costs of $3400 myself! Seeing the number of negative reviews with no intended solutions on Nissans behalf, Ive decided to Never ever purchase a vehicle from Nissan again or any of their affiliated brands! I had to have my 2009 370Z towed to the dealership twice. The dealership did not know the cause and the car just started after some testing. They released the car not knowing if it would do it again. 1-2 weeks later, on a Monday morning, the car did not start after my appointment with a client. The dealership, after weeks of review, could not test out or get the car started. In the meantime, I am working with a gal at consumer affairs. I told her what happened, and a week she called back stating they are not accepting the claim as if it were an owner maintenance issue and 3 months out of warranty. As we found, it was an electrical something in the steering column locking the car down as if it were being stolen. This is certainly not an owner maintenance issue and the car was only at about 32,000 miles. This little bit of time did not affect the outcome and certainly not the mileage. The problem is Nissan did not want to stand behind a known problem in other vehicles with the similar theft deterrent systems, but also because of the cost of replacing the whole steering columns - $1,200 plus. Welcome to my first Nissan experience. I will not buy another.

I have had a Nissan Leaf for about 18 months. From the beginning, I thought that the brakes were not right (they are computer-controlled brakes). They would slip for about 1/2 second when I pressed them or sometimes during use. About 12 days ago, the car would not start and the computer told me that my foot was not on the brake, but it was! The computer could not sense that my foot was trying to press the brake (remember that the brakes are computer assisted). I took the car into the dealership and they have had it for 12 days, and still they and Nissan USA have no idea what the problem is. They have tried rebooting the computer but it still does not work. Ive had a 2016 Nissan Titan XD for the almost a year now and have enjoyed the truck, however, I was recently in an accident and was in need for parts. I have been waiting on parts for over 2 months now with no promise of getting my part any time soon. Upon talking to Nissan I got some rehearsed spiel about the backorder and was given no information on where the part is, why its been backordered over 2 months or when I would get it. I have been paying rental car fees for the last month out of pocket because the insurance coverage of a rental expired so everyday Im out more money because they cant produce the part I need. Ive driven a Nissan for the last 20 years and have been satisfied until this problem arose. Not being able to get the necessary parts makes me not that interested in driving Nissans if Im going to have to deal with this kind of issue anytime, God forbid, I would be in a wreck or some other problem comes up. So if youre thinking of buying a Nissan just beware that this issue could also become your issue.

I bought a new 2014 Nissan Versa SV. The automatic transmission would not shift properly during accelerations. The accelerator pedal had to be goosed to force the transmission to shift to safe RPMS. I took the car back to the dealer and they informed me that Nissan does not repair transmissions. They will only replace with new transmissions. Nissan Corp. shipped to the dealer a rebuilt transmission. That transmission continued with the same identical problems as the original. I took the car back and the dealer and was told the transmission was low on fluid. The same problem continued. Approximately 8 months later that transmission stopped working on a major freeway during rush hour. The dealer replaced that transmission. The dealer and the Nissan Corporation informed me that the transmissions were not new but rebuilt ones. The car now has 50k miles on it and I continues to have the same shifting problems with the transmission. The Nissan consumer affairs division and the dealer began to show an attitude of frustration when dealing with me on this issue. They began to avoid me. I am too frustrated to chase these people down to get what I paid for. I feel I have been scammed out of18k I paid for piece of junk. I will never buy another Nissan product.

I bought a brand new 2013 Versa with my hard-earned money. Within the first month, I had to bring it back to the dealer because the lock on the trunk broke and I was locked out of my trunk for three weeks waiting for the right part. My car has already broken down twice due to engine troubles. Thank God, I have the extended warranty. Seven months old and my car is already breaking down!!! Now, I have a rattling sound coming from the engine. I take good care of my car and I change the oil on time. Nissan service dept has been great but at this point, I just want my car to work the way it should!!!

I purchased a Nissan Rogue in 2014. I absolutely loved my Rogue. Until one day I was driving and the rpms revved up and then started slowing down. My husband had to come follow me home so I didnt get slammed. My Rogue only had 90,000 miles. I called Nissan and was told, Oh you are out of warranty, sorry cant help you. I lost my job and then the bank took my vehicle. It has destroyed me financially. I was told that until people die because of these bad transmissions Nissan will never do anything about it. I will never be able to buy a car again because of this. I am 58 and always had good credit until now.

I recently purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue with 133,000 miles. Seemed to be just what I needed. However, just a few days after I purchased I noticed the engine would power down when taking off. I had it checked out and it was the transmission. I verified with the Nissan dealer and they confirmed it was the transmission. When calling to make the appointment and telling the problem that was experienced the service guy expected it to be the transmission. Seems that it is a common problem with the 2013 model. However, I have since found out that is a problem for 2010. Nissan needs to extend their warranty repair for this problem.

This is the beginning of my campaign against Nissan. They build crap cars and dont stand by their product. Do not buy a Nissan. You will regret it. There are ridiculous problems that you would not expect from a car built in the 21st century. They are common across the board. The door handles come off simply by opening the door. Water pools in the driver side floorboard. The airbags will go off for no reason. The airbags are the only thing theyll fix because they know its a liability.

I located another dealership who found a computer error and debris on the camera repairing the problem. The car now operates properly. Nissan claims they have no control over their dealers so if the dealer wont honor the warranty the problem falls on the purchaser. The car had less than 6000 miles when this occurred.

Bought a new truck in June of 2020. Within the first few months it had 2 radiator leaks, showed signs of a/c leaking and possible injector leak at the 1 and 3 cylinders due to dirt build up around them. After passing by police radar on the side of the road at 40 mph on speedometer it showed 37, 36, so 4 mph off. When I took it in to the dealership with the radiator leaking fixed one leak completely a loose screw on the radiator switched radiator cap from radiator to overflow slowed the leak ordered new radiator cap. While their computer was reset to attempt to fix speedometer. After reset at low speed 40 mph radar showed 39 mph. After getting past left and right at highway speeds used GPS speedometer which showed me only doing 72 sometimes 73.To reach 75 mph on GPS speedometer must get to 78 or 79mph on my dash. This greatly increases the mileage on the vehicle and runs the warranty out sooner also greatly reduces resale value of the vehicle. The first time I towed a trailer weighing 2200 pounds and a 24 hp compact tractor weighing less than 2200lbs the receiver hitch cracked and Nissan has done nothing to replace it! The last two things that was in the initial list of issues the battery terminals were never coated with corrosion inhibitor and the bed wasnt mounted properly leaving roughly a 1 inch gap of alignment from the side of the bed from the cab. So if you are looking down the truck from the tailgate instead of the bed blending into the can you see it bend inwards from the outside of the bed towards the drivers side of the truck. Well I had also complained about squeaking noises from the front end and was blown off.I have been trying to get the truck repaired for over a year now to no avail. In May 2021 went to check fluids under then noticed that the headlight was cracked roughly 1 to 2 inches from mounting bolt under the hood, went to other side it was cracked as well. Shut hood got to looking center of hood aligns perfectly with grill but both the driver and passenger sides are off. Gaps between hood and fenders arent even. Its about the opposite of the gaps in the tailgate due to it being misaligned. This vehicle was never wrecked unless something happened to it before my purchase at 48 miles. Nissan doesnt want anything to do with me or the repairs that are warranty repairs. If you are thinking about buying a new Nissan save yourself the headache. Buy something better. Service after the sale is horrible. Nissan consumer affairs has promised to fix these issues since my first call. It now has been in the shop for over a month in total this visit 3 weeks and going and as of 4 days ago hadnt even been looked at. Beware of what you buy.

Nissan extended their CVT transmission warranty from 60,000 miles to 120,00
Nissan extended their CVT transmission warranty from 60,000 miles to 120,000 miles on the Nissan Versa because they knew about the transmission failures. My Nissan Versa transmission died at 132,000 and Nissan said they wouldnt do anything about it. When they thought I was going to hire a lawyer they seemed very responsive. I didnt hire a lawyer unfortunately and Nissan didnt provide any support for the problem. I had to pay over $4,000 to put in a refurbished transmission. The cruise control and the tire light stopped working a long time ago also. They should have covered at least some of the cost of the transmission because they knew about the failures. My previous car which was a Nissan Quest didnt have any transmission problems so I expected similar results and was disappointed with the Versa.

At 113,000 needed new transmission. After 18,000 heard same high whining noise after driving for 30 minutes. Said was transmission - gave me a new one. Its been 5,000 miles - same thing - and now say I need a transmission cooler kit which isnt covered under my transmission warranty. Will cost $1800. My question is how come when I got 2 new transmissions, the noise went away. If this was the original noise, how come it goes away after new transmission? The dealer and corp cant answer that. I believe wrong diagnosis and it is the transmission. I wont add $1800 to a used car without knowing thats the problem for sure. It may be the problem. Like I said every time I got a new transmission, it never made any noise. Only later after certain miles put on it. I will never buy a Nissan again and my family who owns will not either.

Evolving Technology Poor Quality Systems - Purchased a 2017 Nissan Rogue S, the 5th Nissan in our family in the past decade. While Nissan has stepped up their game in designing overall more luxurious interiors, they are now using lackluster and lower end equipment for some important features. The 2017 Rogue S back up camera lacks clarity, is murky and grainy in even moderate light settings. And in some parking lot situations, all you get is a large ball of light reflection. Nissan sent a technician out from their Plant in TN, but to our avail, all the 2017 models not use the same poor quality cameras. As the owner of model years 2011 to current I have to say this my first negative review of Nissan. I have 4 other Nissans with beautiful backup cameras in any lighting condition. If Nissan is happy with this quality reduction, we will no longer support Nissan. Time to change . While no one should rely on a backup camera, it should be as functional as one found on a 2011 or older. Technology should improve not decline with age. If they do not care about this one feature, what else might be lacking on these cars. I dont think this is a company that deserves consideration, lackluster response, and lackluster technology.

First, to make a payment over the phone for a Nissan account, the consumer is charged a $12.00 service fee. That is outrageous! Second, BillMatrixs automated system is a headache to deal with. Compound that with having to talk to customer service reps in India just compounds the frustration of going through their customer service communication channels. All this adds up to make it a real headache to try and communicate with Nissan. Just the thought of having to pay $12.00 in order to pay your bill seems like a racket.

2013 Nissan Rogue CVT transmission, The vehicle loses power due to transmission overheating. Going at a rate of speed over 60 MPH on the interstate in heavy traffic and completely losing power is very dangerous. I have contacted Nissan consumer affairs with this complaint and after a review they are willing to cover 50% of the cost to place a cooler in the transmission. I did purchase the extended warranty for this vehicle but because this is not an original part the warranty will not cover the cooler. Nissan has had many many complaints with this same issue but still only willing to cover half the cost to repair. If Nissan requires this additional part on the vehicle in order for the valve cover to be replaced because of the overheating, then they should cover 100% of the cost!!! I am very dissatisfied with this vehicle and Nissan. This is a very dangerous problem with the vehicle. Its a problem Nissan should fix especially with all the complaints they are getting with this particular CVT transmission. I am very shocked and disappointed with Nissan for not fixing this problem.

The first young man that came out to help me was very polite and agreed that the air conditioner sounded bad but he told me he would have to let his manager look at it. His manager came out, never acknowledged me, got in the car, fooled with the switches and sat there! So I asked, What do you think is wrong with it? He said, You have LEAVES in it!!!! I said, Leaves? He said, Yes, I can hear them. So I said, So you when you get them out, everything will be ok? He said, Yes BUT thats not covered under warranty and its an hour and a half labor. When we break it down, we wont put it back together until you pay the bill! He was extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked him how the leaves could have gotten in there and he just turned the knob and said, Thru the intake? I said I had never heard of anything like that and asked if he could show me how to get to it and he said NO! I said, Well it sounds like a bad design so it should be covered under warranty because I eke this car under a carport. He just walked off so I told him I would call Nissan and file a complaint with them. He said I could do whatever I wanted to do! I got this car because Im disabled and on social security. I needed something reliable that I wouldnt have to put money into. Now I have a nasty dealership to deal with.

My case was open in November 2019. My vehicle under warranty needs repair. More than 3 months has passed. Repair has not been authorized. I purchased a NV3500 in 2017. It has 5 year warranty. I found very serious rust problem on the roof and took the van to local dealer for diagnostic examination. The case was open in November 2019. The local dealer sent the report to General Nissan Consumer Affair on Dec 30, 2020, waiting for instruction to do the repair. However since then, we have been waiting and waiting.Every time I try to call the specialist in General Nissan Consumer Affairs who is in charge of my case, he wont pick up my phone call. When he calls back, he left message without information I missed your call, please call me back, my phone number is **. The worst thing is, there are three times I happened to pick up his call, but he hung up right after I picked up the call. I requested to communicate with email, but I only received the initial email when the case was open in November 2019. Basically he avoids talking to me and purposely delay the response to my case. I dropped my van in local dealer which is 60 miles away from my home in November 2019 waiting for the repair. In the meantime I requested a rental car to use, but the local dealer doesnt have one. I have other vehicles like Toyota and have never had problem to contact the consumer service or the dealer. I have never thought that Nissan has so bad consumer service and hope Nissan can solve this complaint after my case has been filed for almost 3 three months, still waiting, no car to use.

I want to warn everyone to stay away from Jenkins Nissan in Lakeland Florida. As my previous post stated my wife bought a brand new 2018 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner. After only 1060 miles the motor blew up after the catalytic converter malfunctioned and parts got sucked into the engine. We have spoke to Nissan headquarters and now theyve stopped responding to us. This is what the truck looked like when we went to pick it up. The drive shaft is covered in rust and so is where the exhaust bolts to the engine. Dealership says it normal wear and tear. Theyre not replacing the driveshaft. They said the rust depends on where the truck was manufactured. Its normal. I went around their lot. No rust under any of the other trucks there. My 2014 Titan and our sons 2014 Frontier has no rust. Not a drop. Heres photos of how it looked with the brand new engine. Thats Nissan. @Jenkins Nissan @Nissan. Share this please. Everything under the hood filthy and thanks for the 2 scratches on the front bumper!! Sad thing is thats the 4th vehicle our family has purchased from Jenkins. Way to lose customers. #JenkinsNissan, #Nissan Bonnie **. Next chapter. So as you all know, my wifes new Nissan Desert Runner after having only 1060 miles on it. Had the motor blow up after the catalytic converter mess up. They replaced the motor and converter in 28 days. She picked it up and has driven 51 miles since. Now warning lights are coming on and off for no reason. The brake light, battery light, and a white one in the middle keep coming on. We explained we want the truck replaced. They refused and its just one problem after another. Contacting The Better Business Bureau and Department of Agriculture tomorrow. My brother in law owns a repair shop in Jacksonville. He said they have jurisdiction over the laws concerning these type issues. Thanks #JenkinsNissan and #NissanCorporate.

After seeing my check engine light came on the following week and went to take my Vehicle to Nissan South @ Morrow, GA. The attendant was cool and help me out the best that he can. He even suggested to me the findings of my vehicle, (which was a transmission problem) and if I had an extended warranty that could of fix it. Sorry to say for myself I didnt, so I am left with an 80,000 mileage 2015 vehicle with a transmission problem involving a transmission switch that needs to be replace and they refuse to touch it because it seals with the transmission and suggested that I either pay for a new transmission (4000 dollars) or have one rebuild. I am not happy with the findings cause I look at my vehicle as being a very durable vehicle under 100000 mileage and a transmission problem should not be in the mix. I have own a 1995 Toyota Camry with its mileage over 145000 and never had a transmission problem (probably would of still had it if someone did not hit into me on the road). To hear that Nissan vehicle is that unreliable make me question why my family supports them in the business. My cousins (4 of them), brother, myself, and other military friends and teachers have these vehicle made from Nissan and need to know; when the chips are down Nissan is not there for you to assist you in any way. They toss you aside like you are just another number to them. Their manufacture quality seems to be low and they dwell on customers paying extra for an extended warranty in order to fix their poor mechanical car issues. If I ever choose to get a car from them again it would be a while cause I have to make sure I am able to pay for their extended warranty.

Come February 2020 and the vehicle literally stopped in the middle of the highway, very dangerous but I turned the engine off, restarted and moved to the shoulder. Took it to a dealership and was quoted $4890 for repairs. The vehicle has been sitting at Sterling McCall Nissan waiting to be repaired. I follow up every day with the service department and they claim Nissan North America has not shipped the part. I drive for Uber and for a month now I havent worked a day losing income, time and causing psychological damage. Our car is in the dealership for a transmission replacement. Not the first one, but the third in 2010 Nissan Cube (the first replacement occurring a little over a year ago in 01/2015). Unfortunately, my boyfriend drove from San Diego to our local dealership in Orange County, putting him 100 miles past the 12,000 mile transmission warranty. Well Nissan would surely see rationale and honor a good will repair... We received a phone call letting us know that the claim had been rejected. Being the fairness seeking person I am, I decided to call and follow up. Thankfully, the case was escalated and re-reviewed. We received the phone call the next day from Nissan Consumer Affairs expressing their apologies and informing us that the costs of the repair would be covered. I thought it was peculiar that we didnt hear anything from Nissan or the dealership for the rest of the day. After several phone calls and several messages to consumer affairs, I finally reached out to the dealership the following day and they informed me that Nissan wasnt covering the charges. No one from Nissan decided to call and let us know. So, the manic phone calls began. No one returned my calls or even confirmed that they received my messages until after 5:00 pm. Basically, they chalked it up to miscommunication... and told me to send my information to legal. I asked the supervisor to review the recordings and he proceeded to inform me that they were used for training purposes, and that I was welcome to send him my recording if I have to prove my statement (I obviously did not record the conversation). Therefore, we are without a car and it has been in the shop since before December 25th, 2015.

I recently brought my vehicle in to be serviced due to some noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. After looking at the vehicle I am told that the rear end pinion bearings have gone bad, and that the pinion seal is also leaking and is described as a nonreplaceable part - as such, the rear end assembly needs to be replaced for a cost of close to $4000. Note, I do not have a trailer hitch, and do not tow anything. This seems like a very extreme repair for a truck with mileage in the 80k range - and would seem to be a reflection of the poor quality and craftsmanship when it was built. Ive regularly taken this vehicle to the same dealer service department for previous repairs, oil changes, etc.- there were no previous signs or indications that this would be an issue.

I sign for my daughter to have a new car for college. My daughter had a flat. I told her to take it to Kia, we bought the Gap Ins. The service dept told her that it was not covered so I told them just to put the spare on. Come to find out there was no spare or kit in the new vehicle. Well I was very upset about that. I should have been told that. Anyway, I call Consumer Affairs to report it, I talk to Bruce and he told me to email him my receipt and he would refund me for a new tire or kit. I emailed Bruce on July 29, 2014 and I have been getting the runaround ever since. Well they just lost a customer for a $106.00 dollars and now Bruce, I will be too busy telling everyone about how Great your customer Service Skills are.

This space would never be enough to write all the issues we have had with our car. Its the worst deal, the worst customer service, the worst corporation, the worst car, the worst company. That company has stole the money from us. I had never thought was going to be that bad. The car has gave us lot problems, consumes the amount of gas that 3 cars all together will do from other brands. The doors got stuck and had to take it to dealer to open them stupid tickets. Can not appeal to the clerk. I really hate this company. They are such a stealers not dealers, stealers... I will never recommend it to no one.

My 2015 Nissan NV200 Van just hit 105k miles and transmission failed. I go to the dealership and thats when I find out how Nissan has a CVT transmission issue. I hear theres class action lawsuits and all. Well little did I know when I purchased. So the dealership said it will cost me $4300 to replace the transmission so I called Nissan Corporation Consumer Affairs and they said Im out of luck. They only warranty 100k miles Im 5000 miles over. What a piece of garbage company that puts out a bad product. No one expects a transmission to fail right around the 100k miles mark. That is unacceptable. Im like can you all cover some of the repairs but now they only care about their bottom line smh.

The mileage is still terrible. Nissan is telling me the advertised mileage of 23-30 mpg is an estimate only so if Im getting ten mpg, they are not responsible and they will not help me in any way. I purchased a 2012 Nissan Sentra 2 years ago and I didnt mind the high interest rate and payments because I thought Nissan made reliable vehicles. WRONG. My transmission now needs to be replaced at 85k miles! Not okay! Id chalk it up to bad luck if it were just me having this issue but Ive found countless reviews complaining of the same issue with the CVT transmissions in all Nissan models. Nissan doubled the warranty on the older models due to a lawsuit for their cheap faulty transmission, you think theyd resolve the issue but NOPE! The repairs are going to cost me $3400 and Nissan refuses to help. Awful cars and awful service. If its not too late, do NOT buy Nissan. Look into Hondas or Toyotas. Ill never buy another Nissan again.

Ive also had the chance to drive other car brands, but I just dont get the same feeling as when I drive a Nissan. Ive been driving for 12 years and I hope that when I can finally afford to buy my own car, therell be an awesome Nissan car waiting for me to buy it. BTW - that Nissan Juke advertisement with the typo was genius. Kudos to Nissan for thinking of something brilliant to promote their SUV. Cant wait to see what they have to offer next!

2 problems I am having with this car....1.) I will be driving down a freeway for about 20 minutes.... Go to get off freeway and stop at a light.... Wait for light to change and car will not go over 2-3 mph for about 30-45 seconds then all of a sudden jumps up to 15 mph from my foot being on the gas pedal which has almost caused a few car accidents. 2.) I recently moved to California from Arizona and on my trips back and forth, the car after an hour of driving will all of a sudden slow down from 80 mph to 35-45 mph in a 75 mph speed zone. Happens going up hills even the slightest incline in the road and once you go down hill it will slowly start to speed up.I drive around with 2 children in the car ages 4 and 5.... This is so beyond dangerous and blows my mind that Nissan will not do ** about it. I have taken it to Nissan dealerships, mechanics and everyone says... I dont know what it is. I even took my iPad in showing a YouTube video of a gentleman that was driving having the same problem!!! And they still said, I dont know. I am beyond pissed and want a class action lawsuit against Nissan for having defaulted vehicles out there and not doing anything about it. Go online and its page after page of people having the same issue. Nissan get off your lazy ass and fix this problem!!

I have complained to Nissan Customer Service Malaysia about the occurrence of a small crack line at the center of my Nissan Sylphy dashboard. They replied that the crack line was due to external impact and therefore not claimable. I requested for a detailed explanation of what sort of external impact that has caused the crack line. This is because they have taken photos of my car both externally and internally. They did not give me a satisfactory reply but instead requested me to pay some USD1000 for the repair.Sir, the only impact on my car is a small dent on the lower left door of my car that has happened more than a year ago. My mechanic can testify to that. But, the crack occurred just one month ago. So there is no relationship between the dent and the crack. It really hurts when I received such response from Customer Service Nissan Malaysia as I have been a strong supporter of Nissan cars in the last 15 years. I have owned a Nissan Serena (1997), Nissan Sentra (2005) and now a Nissan Sylph (2009). Your kind intervention is much appreciated.

I just bought a Nissan on April 13th and wanted to inquire about the payoff amount. NMAC informed me that my contract (i.e., purchase date of the vehicle) was March 29th. NMAC then informed me that I have been accruing interest on a vehicle I did not own for two weeks racking up nearly $200 in interest for this timeframe. I was told to contact the dealer to adjust this. Dealer told me to go ** myself speaking with the financing manager. I tried contacting the general manager only to be blown off. Sales manager has been negligent as well. Nissans objective is to sell a vehicle then screw the customer. If I had known this, I would have never bought a Nissan. Now, I am told I am SOL by both the dealer and NMAC. This is flat out fraud. In this economy, customer service is more important than ever. I wonder why Hyundai, a once inferior product, is gaining traction where Nissan is losing traction and value. Nissan and NMAC are prime contributors. We were looking at replacement for the wifes old Mazda and was thinking an Altima. There was no way in ** Id buy another Nissan now.

I bought a Nissan 370Z convertible 15 months ago with very low mileage. Just beyond the 36,000 mile mark, my convertible top experienced issues which needed to be addressed right away. I brought the car into the shop, they diagnosed the problem, and ordered the part which took 30 days to arrive and install. It was discovered that a second part was also faulty and needed fixing. Five weeks later, I am out $1,750 and still have no working part as we are waiting for the second part to arrive and be installed. The mechanic who was put in numerous hours trying to navigate through the issues flat out told me on three separate occasions to get rid of my Nissan vehicle as the craftsmanship is very poor and the electrical system is backwards (he was referring to Nissan in general). He also says working with Nissan Japan when ordering parts is a pretty painful experience as well - parts take forever. I can attest to this. So in short, I paid $12,000 more for a vehicle with a convertible top that barely made it past its warranty. This is the second Nissan convertible I have owned, and both had expensive electrical and convertible top issues. I can comfortably say that Nissan is the Walmart of the automotive industry. I look forward to turning away as many potential Nissan customers as possible in the future since so many ask me about my car.

Several months after that apparently NMAC decide there was a balance due of $127 and never contacted me (email, phone, postal mail). Since I was unaware of the situation the amount went past due and I got a 30 day late notice on my otherwise perfect (770+) credit rating. I have a 2010 Nissan Versa sedan. I have had the service engine light on almost the entire time Ive had the car, or at least since the warranty ran out. The diagnostic code indicates a fuel system leak, which has already been recalled on other models but not mine. I am also experiencing fuel pressure regulator problems, which was also a technical service bulletin for other Nissan Versas just not my VIN number. Im furious that known problems arent being evaluated properly for all years and/or models. Ive had my car in the shop several times because it wont start, FPR issues. Im spending my money on rental cars and inspections of my vehicle while Im still paying off my Nissan Versa and Nissan isnt doing anything about a problem that is known because they are limiting which VIN numbers to provide service to. However, the dealer who has provided service for other recalls on my vehicle keeps calling me trying to get me to buy another Nissan. I feel they are aware of the problem and instead of offering service they want me to buy another Nissan. Im disgusted with the lack of service for known problems. I feel these issues need to be expanded to other year makes outside of the bulletin as it is tight now.

We purchased a certified pre-owned Nissan Pathfinder 8/2010 from the local
We purchased a certified pre-owned Nissan Pathfinder 8/2010 from the local Nissan dealer, Central Valley Nissan. The vehicle had 76,000 miles on it at the time of purchase, and now has 89,000 miles on it. We recently noticed an issue with the cars transmission. When we are driving, the car will knock when shifting gears and it also makes this rumbling or shaking vibration feeling. We researched the issue and found that Nissan had defective radiators installed in the 2005/2006 models that caused fluid from the radiator to leak into the transmission, causing transmission failure and necessary transmission replacement. We took our car to the transmission shop to confirm that this was the issue, and it was. The owner of that shop called the dealer we purchased the car from, where it was confirmed the defective radiators were installed on this model and several others. Nissan didnt issue a recall, but instead extended their warranty to 80,000 miles. Since our vehicle was at 89,000 miles, the dealer instructed us to call the Nissan Consumer Affairs dept. to explain the problem and try to get them to cover the cost of the repair. I contacted them, reported the issue, got a file number (#**) and was told I need to take the vehicle to a certified Nissan repair shop and get a diagnostic report sent over to them. We took the car to Central Valley Nissan. They were aware of the defective radiator problem and agreed that we should have been informed of this problem at the time of purchase, especially since it was so close to the warranty cut off. They put us in a rental telling us we cannot drive this car in its current condition and said they will deal with corporate. We were just notified after 2 days that corporate has denied our claim, stating that our mileage is past the warranty cut off. They instructed me to call Nissan Consumer Affairs again and talk to a supervisor about my case. I tried to speak with a supervisor but was told by Layla (Customer Support Rep) that there were no supervisors available and I would need to wait for a call back for 4-6 hours. She refused to transfer me, or even give me the name of the person who would be calling me. I am so extremely disappointed in the way this is being handled. Nissan installed defective parts in thousands and thousands of vehicles but instead of recalling the parts they just extended a warranty but then didnt notify any of the customers. In every single report I have read from other customers with this same issue, they only found out about the defective radiator after it caused a problem with their transmission. Nissan had a responsibility to their consumers to notify them of this defect and to provide them with information on how to get it repaired/replaced. This is 100% Nissans fault, and I cannot believe the run-around I am getting. What I find equally amazing, is that in most reports the radiator didnt start causing problems until after 80,000 miles, and that is where Nissan stopped the coverage. This is a pathetic move by this company. I was happy with my Nissan, very happy, but because of this issue now I will never purchase another Nissan vehicle again. This defect is going to cost us thousands of dollars in repairs, and I have no choice but to repair the vehicle because we still have 3 years left on our loan. I am truly saddened, and extremely angry with the way Nissan handled this.

First time purchase of a loan/lease. Signed a lease with loan prices ($337 month). Total purchase price 2015 Rogue $34,000. Error was noticed by purchaser same day at dealership. When brought to attention of dealer, more or less too bad. All they had to do was tear up the lease form and attach correct monthly price to a lease $134 month. $14,000 to purchase at end of lease or the proper monthly payment, $337 month with the last payment, vehicle is mine... maybe 10 mins of their time on paperwork. I am writing to voice my complaint about my current Nissan experience with my 2011 Nissan Altima that was purchased in December of 2016. The car is currently only 6 years old and I have experienced a total loss to the value of the car. I have recently had all the locks in my car go out... ALL AT ONCE. When contacting Nissan about my options of what to do; I was recommend to replace my key fob battery and if not that do a test to see what the problem is. After having the test done Friday, August 18th, I was told that I needed to replace all four actuators on my Altima. The price range for this is estimated to be around $1350. After talking to family members and family members employed with Nissan we feel that the information given to me is accurate and that there is a bigger issue with the car other than this. We believe replacing these the problem will continue to be there due to there being a wiring or system malfunction with my Altima. I am just really upset and not understanding how a car that is 6 years old already have every actuator go out and all at once. This is a total inconvenience and just see so much to spend on a car that I dont even have paid off yet. This experience has honestly made me not want to buy another Nissan in the future. I never expected to have this happen but I have to say it is a huge disappoint and not convenient when you have a push start car.

I recently traded in my leased Nissan Altima for a used Juke at Vaden Nissan in Bluffton SC. I gave them the payoff on my Altima (through Nissan Motor Acceptance), which they confirmed. The dealership also performed an inspection on my Altima. We discussed a new deal for a used Nissan Juke. They agreed to pay off my Nissan balance, and I financed the price that we agreed to. Four months later I get a bill saying that I owe Nissan Motor Acceptance $1273. I called Nissan Motor Acceptance, and they claimed there was excessive wear and tear on the vehicle, along with an early termination fee. This Altima was in very good shape when Vaden looked at it. It was my understanding when I drove my Juke out their dealership, that we agreed to a deal which had a commitment from both sides. Now they are telling me the charges are non-negotiable. I told both Nissan Motor Acceptance and Vaden Nissan that if I would have known that I owed another $1273, there is no way I would have completed this deal. Who does business like that??? I have NEVER had a problem with Subaru or Toyota coming back to me for charges after a lease. As far as I am concerned, when we agreed to certain numbers, then I shook hands with the salesman, and then drove off the lot, the deal should be over!!! Thanks for reading!

I have a brand new Nissan Rogue. I live in Colorado and sometimes have to park under trees during the day for work. Other than that, the vehicle is kept in a garage and is washed frequently as I use the car to pick up business clients at the airport sometimes and want a good professional impression. Last week during a few days that seemed like spring here, a group of robins in a tree above my car managed to use my car for target practice. When I got in the car at about 6:00 p.m., I noticed the droppings and took it to a professional car wash the next morning at 8:00 a.m. on my way to work; only the droppings didnt wash off. The bird droppings damaged the seal coat and now I have dull smears all over my shiny new car. We hand washed, tried wax, took it to an auto body shop for their advice and then to the Nissan car dealer we bought it from. They said that they had seen this before from bird droppings and the only way to get it right was to repaint. This is a $27K car. Seriously, I cant drive anywhere where birds exist from now on or I need a new paint job? So here is where we are. Even if they do manage to fix the spots that exist on the car now, throughout ownership of this car, I will have to protect it constantly or expect to drastically reduce value every time a bird flies over! This is ridiculous to expect that paint on a vehicle can get totally ruined within 24 hours by bird droppings. Needless to say, this has and will greatly reduce the value of the vehicle. I am going to file an official complaint with Nissan and if they do not give any results, I will pursue this all the way up the ladder. Anyone else having this problem with new Nissan products?

Horrible service and no accurate response to sudden failing brakes and light coming on. My car has been in government storage for over four years. My front driver and passenger side window rolls down but not up, the brake light comes on, and a grinding metal to metal sound is made, and sounds and feels like a spring is loose with no breaking control. Almost ran into a car the other day. I am in the military, this would not be good and this does not appear right. Next time it happens, will be taking it on base to see what the issue is. What I noticed is if you put the car in park, turn it off and restart it, it resets itself as if nothing ever happened. So, my plan is the next time it happens, to not reset it, record it, and drive all the way to the base to have them look at it, this could possibly if not, be a legal issue since the dealerships seem to think there is no issue and dont see a problem. Standby...for my next comments.

This is a reliable vehicle. It is small and has a sporty feel but still feels safe. It handles well & acceleration. The trunk area is quite small but I can fit a surprising amount of stuff in the car with the seats down. One of the most important features I was looking for this time around was a vehicle with AWD. I found my previous car slip-sliding around in the big rainstorms we had over the last few years and I wanted to solve that problem for a safer, less-stressful commute. The Nissan Juke has good gas mileage, comfortable seats and good power uphill (my commute home includes a long trek into the foothills). My major complaint is the small gas tank! I have to refuel multiple times a week for commute. Stil, I would recommend this car.

I have had the same problem twice now with the radiator failing causing the coolant to flow in transmission, cause 2 defective radiators and now transmission has to be replaced a second time and the radiator has to be replaced a third time. Nissan has known about these defects for years. They cost me around $8000 fixing this piece of ** and like most people on here, Im still paying over $300 a month on a truck that I cant drive. They need to recall all Nissan trucks with this problem and fix or reimburse people the total cost. This is wrong for all of the complainants on here to suffer like this. Someone, please help. I dont know where to turn to now!

I experienced lie upon lie when I purchased my 2020 Nissan Altima at Thruway Nissan in Newburgh NY. Now, a year later, I’ve noticed my FM reception is on occasions full of static. Initially, upon a service appointment, I was advised all was fixed with a computer update. Not so! The problem continues as my car made a repeat trip to the dealer only to be told that there is no problem with the antenna or connections. They refuse to replace the radio even though it’s under warranty with less than 10k miles! Buyer beware! Buy elsewhere.

I bought a used Nissan Note automatic just over a year ago. The mileage was 8100. My daughter uses the car to go to and from work. The car now has 12,500 miles on it. I had a gearbox problem and took the car to Nissan authorized dealer. The dealer said that the automatic gearbox needs replacing and it will cost £8545.00. I believe that there must be factory defect since the gearbox should not give problems at 12,500 miles. Nissan is not accepting responsibility. The car is 4 years old. The warranty expired 6 months ago. What can I do? How do I take Nissan to court on the grounds that this is a manufacturing fault?

Your dealer cheated us very well and I am willing to complain in the BBB and TV. I bought a Nissan Rogue on July 2011 from Power Nissan Tempe for $23,500. The finance manager was Larry, who does not inform the buyer of what type of contract is the deal. I paid $10,000 cash and was happy that I owe only $13,500. After I received my statement from Chase Bank, I got shocked because they charged me for $31,000. When I called the dealer, he said I signed the contract. The charge was for extended warranty, lowjack and other things which did make no sense to me or my husband. On September 15, I went to the dealers store and talked to the general manager Mr. Randy **. After explaining the situation, he agreed to reduce some nonsense charge. We signed the reduction paper and handed to Larry, the finance manager. He promised me to take care of the problem within 6 weeks. Today, 2 months passed and nothing has changed. I called a couple of times today, nobody answered. I look like a jock to them. They play games with people. I would like to send a letter to my governor and call all the news.

Dont take it! Bad customer service, broken web, incompetent employees, managers that are quitting and credit department with its own world. LIARS AND RUDE TO CUSTOMERS. I had a car loan with Nissan going directly from the bank. (Draft) 2012-2017. In the year 2015 Nissan changed the rules that the last payment must be paid hard check not directly from the bank as draft. Nissan never informed existing customers about it (me being one of them) and this is common knowledge when you call Nissan customer service - they know they did not tell existing customers. Nissan did not contact me until the payment was already 30 days late. Manager at the time swore up and down this will not be sent to creditors as it was not my mistake and because they did not contact me - they had issues with new web that was put in place in 2015 (also known to all of them). That manager left a note in my account, as that I did not know my last payment must be done by physical check. However, Nissan still reported me to creditors as they dont read managers notes and dont care that this is their mistake. I was never late in my life. My credit score dropped from 850 to 698. There is nothing else bad on my credit, I paid for the report. Nissan credit services refuse to send a note to creditors, but when managers answer the phone, they tell me it will be ok and they stand by their mistakes. Because of their disconnect with credit department my life is ruined. I have never made a mistake in my life. I lived by the rules for 22 years building my credit score and perfect history. None of the higher ups offered to fix this mistake for me. It takes one letter to creditors to get my life back.

Having owned Lexuses for years, I recently purchased a New 2013 Nissan Altima S, with 18 miles on it for my daughter to take to college. She drove the car home when the MIL light went on. I notified Carriage Nissan in Gainesville Georgia and was told it must be a loose gas cap. I was told to continue to drive the car. After 1 week and 700 miles, I took the car in for service and was told I need a new transmission.I contacted Nissan Consumer affairs and stated my displeasure and asked specifically that the car be replaced. After about 15 days, I was notified by Nissan that they would extend the car warranty to 8 years/120k miles with a gold preferred package and Oil/ Gas/Tire rotation service package for 2 years. It was more or less a take it or leave it proposition. I took the package and will pay $50 to transfer it to a new owner since I will be putting the car up for sale.I will never recommend or purchase another Nissan product again
