Nissan Motor Company is a Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Japan. The company sells its vehicles under the Nissan, Infiniti, and Datsun brands, with in-house performance tuning products labelled Nismo.

The Titan XD has the trappings of a heavy-duty pickup: a bulky body, a beefy frame, and a torquey diesel-engine option. But in reality, its middling capability and performance are hardly better than those of light-duty trucks. Since the regular Titan already handles that class, the XD is a perplexing, in-between proposition. Buyers will enjoy a better ride than in its rivals, and they'll appreciate supremely comfy seats and cool cargo-bed options. But in the end, the Titan XD is neither great as a light-duty nor convincing as a heavy-duty pickup.

Prior to receiving a Recall Notice from Nissan, my daughter was unable to move her foot from the accelerator to the brake to avoid a collision. The car was a total loss and my daughter suffered extreme neck pain. The recall notice states "Your Model Year 2014 Nissan Versa Note is involved in a safety recall because delayed braking may occur if your foot contacts the center console trim panel when transitioning from the accelerator to the brake pedal." Nissan refuses to stand behind the product and their recall by saying it is the owner's responsibility to make sure the car operates safely.

My car decelerates when I get on interstate and I took it to the Nissan dealership. And there's no codes showing up and she told me there's nothing that they can do about it until they have a code. So they rather for the car to kill me than to fix the problem. I will never buy another Nissan. You would think buying a new car you wouldn't have problems with the transmission.

Nissan lied to us about the extended service plan. Parts that were listed on the pamphlet they used to sell on the extended service plan were not actually covered under the plan. We have called Nissan Consumer Affairs, they don't care. Some of their representatives tell us the parts are covered, others tell us they aren't. One of their representatives told me he would accept that listed parts aren't covered, pay for them, and move on. That is what I suggest every Nissan owner should do. Move on to another car maker. Until you can get rid of your Nissan be honest when people ask if you would buy another, tell them no. Tell people you are not happy with Nissan. Explain and give examples to people of what Nissan does wrong. If Nissan won't listen, we must get everyone else to listen to us. Don't buy a Nissan.

New vehicle purchase. Nissan Motor Acceptance called a reference of mine a week later leaving a callback message after the purchase. I called back the next day and was informed it was a verification check. I felt embarrassed. Nissan Motor Acceptance didn't leave a message on my cell which is the first contact number. I believe references shouldn't be contacted unless a payment's missed, emergency, or to locate the whereabouts of the customer. Nissan Motor Acceptance is actually the billing department. My first payment isn't due for another 34 days! Nissan already sent a letter informing me of the billing department and online options to manage my account. My reference shouldn't have been contacted. A message should've been left on my phone allowing me time to contact them back. I'm posting this cause people need to know what they're getting into with Nissan. Just think if a payment's late how they'll respond!

I purchased a 2011 Nissan Rogue on mid August. I received the statement that my payment would be due on August 30th. On August 26th, I wanted to pay $6,000 online as my first payment. I had to call the finance company and they told me that they couldn't process the amount of $6,000 and that it could only be $2,000 at a time. Well, I had no choice so I split up the amount into three separate amounts online and to top it off, I was charged a $5 convenience fee for each transaction. Well on August 31st, I checked my bank account and to my surprise I had a charge of $12,000 plus six convenience charges. I called the finance company and advised them that I only wanted to make a payment of $6,000 not $12,000. I asked to speak with a manager several times and I held on the line forever. I was finally transferred to a manager, Rosey, and explained my situation. I asked for the convenience to be waived and they denied my request. This has been such an inconvenience at this point and very disappointing. Rosey explained that this same issue had happened to someone else earlier as well and they couldn't do anything for me. They advised me that they would reverse the additional $6,000 charge which they mistakenly charged me but that it would take seven to ten days to process. Now, this situation has made me to have to borrow money from someone else as I didn't have this amount in my bank account in the first place. I will never purchase a car from Nissan ever! Their finance company is irresponsible and the management are imbeciles.

I turned in a 3 year leased 2015 Nissan and purchased a 2017 Nissan Altima on November 30, 2017. I only had one car in my possession. My automatic payment from my bank did not get stopped in time for two payments which both went to the leased car, which I had turned in. When I found out what happened in January (when I would normally make my first car payment on a new car) I went straight to the dealership and we both called numerous times about the over-payment. On January 22, 2018 I decided to make a second payment to protect my good credit. All they had to do was to transfer my funds to the new car. They said they would but they did not. I had an executive lease on the car (I highly recommend this) so I did not owe anything for any damage to the lease. I received a letter from Nissan Motor Acceptance telling me not to make a payment in February (because they were holding $1047) so I did not make February's payment, In March I made my regular payment for the new 2017 Nissan and realized they never transferred the funds to the right car in February! So, on March 7th I made two more car payments, again to protect my good credit (did I mention I received a letter that threatened to take back the car during this fiasco?). So, I paid March on time and did not pay February's payment because they said they would transfer the funds, but they did not. Late in March I received a check for over all the money they owed me. That was three months of my wasted time and after all that, they still ruined my I credit saying I was 30 days late in February and 60 days late in March!! Worst of all I contacted the 3 credit bureaus with the letter from Nissan saying not to pay in February and the check for over $1047 with an apology letter in March, but Nissan is refusing to allow my credit to be restored!! I've lost out on a 0 interest credit card and have been denied credit due to this and my credit score has dropped from 733 to 705. It is now ten months later and I am still working on repairing the damage they have done!!

Dropped off my 2013 Nissan Versa for the CVT recall. After I left and got onto the 101 freeway my car went from 60 MPH to about 10 right in front of a Big Rig truck. We crawled toward the nearest exit and went back to the dealer. They said it needed a new transmission and would be 4000 dollars. At 51,000 my warranty was up since it had been a few months over 5 years. They said it was still driveable since I didnt have the cash to fork over so we left and almost got hit as the car stopped on La Brea and Fountain. As I was in extreme distress and by the grace of God we were able to pull into an urgent care lot and the ladies said we could park the car there until we got a tow truck. This was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me and now I am unable to go anywhere as I have no car. Nissan... SHAME ON YOU!!!

I bought my 2000 Nissan Maxima new and just after the three-year mark and at about 27,000 miles I got an SES light. I took it to the dealer and they told me all 6 ignition coils needed to be replaced. I was in shock. How can all 6 be bad on a car with only 27,000 miles. I asked if there was a recall or if the parts were defective. All they said was to call Corporate Nissan! When I did I got blown off. They said since my car was past the warranty period they were not responsible for anything. I was out of luck. I said maybe they could make an exception because this was not something that normally happens. They would not budge. I was stuck and what made me really angry was that these parts had to be ordered through the dealer and they were on back order. I tried AutoZone and online but no luck. The parts took about 5 weeks to come in since there was a shortage of these parts. This was very common for this year and model car. I had to rent a car for this period and ended up spending a total of $1600 including the rental car. This was a nightmare I will never forget. A very good example of very poor customer service. Leave your customer stuck and say we can't do anything for because we do not have to. Excellent way to make your customer say I will never buy another Nissan product again. I actually had to call the customer rep because she did not return my call. I left her a message saying thanks for nothing and calling me back like you said you would. It was not her fault but she could have returned my car with courtesy and respect even though there was nothing Nissan would do for me. I really felt that there should have been a recall but they took the cheap way out. Better to lose a few customers than to shell out bucks to help customers with a manufacturer defect. The sad part is that after all that I went through, I still have this car today. It has 172,600 miles and is still running good. Still will not buy another Nissan because of this bad experience. I had to replace 3 O2 sensors, MAF sensor, radiator, alternator, starter, thermostat, front axle, dimmer switch, front struts.

Purchased new 2017 Altima July transmission had a loose bolt repaired. Two months later again transmission had to be replaced, still under warranty which will expire in another 3 thousand miles. Nissan will not replace or refinance. No explanation given - just no. I requested for them to extend warranty no response. Will never purchase another Nissan again... For $611.00 per month never again. Next car will be a Honda. Always good car!!!

I leased a car in July of 2006. I received a property tax bill to pay in January. I got a signed and notarized affidavit stating that this vehicle was used for personal use only and that I did not live in the county where the property tax was being applied. In addition, the county where I purchased the vehicle and also reside does not charge property taxes. The first year was fine. I received another bill the second year and I submitted the same paperwork. NMAC claimed they never received it and that I owed them for taxes. I did not pay for it. The following year, I received another bill. When I submitted the forms again, I was told they could not accept them because I had not paid the previous year's taxes. I just recently tried to refinance my home and my credit report is damaged because of this. I have tried calling to clear this mess up and was told rudely that this will not go away until it is paid. I submitted everything the company told me to do exactly and yet, this is still on my credit report. They have been extremely rude and have even hung up on me. I will never lease a vehicle again and I will never deal with Nissan again.
