Nissan Armada will reportedly downsize to twin-turbo V-6 with redesign
Posted On: February 10, 2022
The Nissan Armada could ditch its V-8 engine in favor of a more fuel-efficient V-6 when it's redesigned, according to a new report. Citing a dealer source, Automotive News (subscription required) reported on Tuesday that a redesigned Armada is due in late 2023 and will feature a twin-turbocharged V-6 as opposed to the current model's 5.6-liter V-8. It's a move many of its rivals have already made, with the redesigned 2023 Toyota Sequoia being the most recent of the big SUVs to downsize to a V-6, albeit with hybrid technology as well. Although not mentioned in the report, any change planned for the Armada will also likely affect the Patrol, the nameplate the Armada uses outside the U.S. The current Armada was launched here in 2016 as a 2017 model, but it's been on sale elsewhere in Patrol guise since 2010, so a redesign soon isn't out of the ordinary. The report comes as Nissan prepares to scale back development of internal-combustion engines in some markets on the road to a full-electric lineup. The automaker this week confirmed that it will stop developing internal-combustion engines for the European market following the introduction of Euro 7 emissions standards, currently expected in 2025. Instead, Nissan will focus on EV investments. Nissan and its alliance partners Renault and Mitsubishi announced in January they will invest more than $25 billion on electrification over the next five years and launch a combined 35 EVs by 2030.

My brand new car (Nissan Sunny XL petrol), right after the second free service, the car started having problem like heating up of the engine and frequent shutdowns. When checked with the service center, it assured me nothing was wrong with the vehicle and in a perfect condition. I, with my little daughter, drove the car to our relatives next day. On the way, it broke down again while passing a dangerous valley. It stopped more than 20 times during the travel of 200km. When I contacted the service station in charge, he said that he cannot do anything. When asked what should be done next, his answer was, HE DOESNT KNOW ANYTHING.I then called Nissan Call Center. With much effort and persuasion, they connected me to the local technician who, after inspection, declared that the problem occurred because of the FAULTY FUEL PUMP and DUPLICATE COOLANT, which the service center used. More than 15 days has passed and in spite of sending a number of mails, no action has been taken until date.

My husband has a 2014 Nissan Sentra, hes made all payments on time. Recently he started getting calls about him not paying. Hes even showed his proof of each payment. All they said was yeah it shows you paid, but we didnt get any payment and told him to pay more. Obviously someone there is pocketing the money or some crap cause hes been paying. Last week they had his car repossessed for no payment... But he has been paying. Hes even told them that he wont ever get another Nissan and asked them if they scam all soldiers like this? they hung up on him. He has yet to get his car back and they still wont admit that theres something wrong in the whole payment thing. They said he hasnt paid in 4 months. I have a 2015 Sentra and Im thinking of selling mine so I dont go through this crap too. NMAC are nothing but scammers.

Great car to look at but dangerous in city driving due to transmission. Nissans transmission would have to be the worst on the market. It does not work well in city where it has to change a lot. Very dangerous at take off, motor revs a lot and you go nowhere (does not change up), seems to just slip.

I recently signed financing papers for a 2011 Nissan Cube at Girard Nissan.
I recently signed financing papers for a 2011 Nissan Cube at Girard Nissan. 425 Gold Star Hwy. Groton CT USA. Monday 6/22/15 I just happened to be driving by the dealership when I decided to see what they had in stock. I checked online to see what the reviews were. Whilst in the parking lot, they seemed ok. So I decided to check the items they had in stock. I noticed an older gentleman walking out the door to approach me. He introduced himself as **. He brought me in to the showroom before I even had a chance to look at any vehicles on the lot. He asked what kind of payment I was looking for. I explained what payment I could do. I also told him I would prefer to put $0 down. But could put $500 down if absolutely necessary. Three hours after I gave them the down payment, 3 hours of sitting and waiting in the waiting room, chasing my children around, they stated that they needed $200 more. Flash forward to today 6/26/15 when I went to the dealership to give them back the vehicle because I was refusing to keep it on the terms that they did not follow through with implied warranty and implied quality of the vehicle. When I asked the sales manager ** why did you have me sit around for 4 hours the first day was here? The manager told me that the credit union was not open so they had to wait until the following day. My initial thought was if the credit union wasnt open, how would they have known that they needed another $200 to secure the financing? Seems a bit shady, but whats even more shady ** showed me my credit score, to assert the point that he had to work to get the financing, only to see the real credit score on the financing application was 40 points higher than the one he showed me just minutes earlier to convince me that I was not going to be able to secure financing elsewhere. I kept both reports to confirm this. Before I ever signed to purchase the vehicle on 6/23/15 the dealership had me take the car home, stating that they were going to work on getting a better financing rate. But to get to the point where I was sent home with the car, I waited 4 hours for them to work on the financing whilst my 2 children were running a muck through out the dealership. This seemed to be a tactic to stress me out to the point where I would just sign the papers without reading them just to get out of there. Luckily my husband was here to help with the children, but it was undoubtedly a very stressful time indeed.I took the car home 6/22/15 and drove it down the highway and notices something very strange about how the transmission was shifting. When going down a steep hill, the engine would rev at 3000. When going approximate 55 mph the car would not shift and would start to redline so I decided to bring it to be checked out. My friend who is a mechanic explained to me that the transmission was slipping. It wouldnt shift into a higher gear when driving down the highway and would rev at six grand until the accelerator pedal was released and furthermore the car would also raise the idol on declining ground. He explained that these are the first symptoms of a transmission issue. When I went back to the dealership the next day 6/23/15 my spouse was unable to go with me because he was working, which was disheartening for me because he is the one who deals with all of the finances in the household. But the men at the dealership insisted that I come back at this time, on this day, as soon as I got out of work, knowing I would be alone to sign the papers. I explained to the people at the dealership that I was not satisfied with the vehicle at all. I told them explicitly that I didnt want the vehicle. I cited the following reasons as to why I didnt want the vehicle. First there was a severe smoke smell in the car. I told them that the smell made me sick. I am currently fighting a sinus issue due to this. I explained that I wanted a vehicle history report and they wouldnt give me one. I also explained that my mechanic told me that the transmission isnt working properly. ** the manager stated that they could do an extended warranty on it. He didnt introduce himself but he did offer a warranty to me. I explained that I still didnt want the vehicle. Another salesman stated that he would take the vehicle out for a ride to check it out. This man was in his early 30s had a small build. So when he returned from the test drive he confirmed that the idle was odd whilst going down a hill. This man stated that this was normal for a cvt transmission. He didnt check it on a highway to witness the lack of shifting, but he was only a sales person. I cant see how a sales person would have known more than a mechanic but anyhow. The sales manager ** explained that he worked really hard to get me the loan, and that I wouldnt have gotten a loan if he didnt do that work, and also explained if I didnt get a car from them I wouldnt get financing. I asked him what kind of interest rate he got and he said, what does it matter!? And refused to tell me, I kept it within the price range you asked for. He made it seem like I owed him for doing that work. I felt backed into a corner at this point. This is where he hands me the modified credit score, which was 40 points lower than the one on the financing application. I told the staff that there were vehicles posted for sale online through other dealerships with far lower miles, at the same price. No one seemed to care, but it is posted on their website that they guarantee competitive prices. This is false advertisement. The sales manager ** explained that he could sell me a different vehicle, but explained that it would cost me more, and I would have to wait another day to see if the financing would come through. He was rushing me along and explained that because of my credit I wouldnt be able to get financing anywhere else. He stated that he could offer me a 2012 leaf at 13000. I explained that if I was going to purchase a different vehicle I wanted to do some research. He wasnt having that he continued rushing me. The dealership was about to close. I later looked the leaf up on their website and noticed that it was listed for 11000, after the fact this really made me worry about the integrity of the men I was dealing with.I didnt want to purchase the cube with the mileage on the vehicle. I felt forced to sign the papers. The men at the dealership knew I didnt have a ride home otherwise. Since my husband wasnt there, the staff at Girard Nissan knew this, and took advantage of me. While I was in doing the paperwork, ** explained that I couldnt not have the all inclusive warranty but could only get the one that covered certain parts. Not only that but he informed me that they would not throw it in as the manager had originally mentioned, but I would have to pay $1599 for it. They told me to come back Friday for the registration and plates for the vehicle. I called Girard Nissan Wednesday. No one returned my call. I called Thursday multiple times finally the sales manager ** called me back around 6pm. He fought with me over the phone about the car, and explained that I should just come in Friday to go over the situation. On 6/26/15 I went to the dealership explained my extreme dissatisfaction to the sales manager **, but he explained to me that the vehicle was mine now, so I would have to take it up with the bank. I explained that I would speak to a lawyer to see what my rights were. He boastingly said go again you better get two of them, and explained that I would not accept the vehicle and left the keys on the counter. Is there anything that can be done about this? I signed the papers on Wednesday evening, and the sales manager tells me the vehicle is my problem now.

Murano SL model 2017.5 purchased 5/8/17. Failed Forward Emergency Braking. Returned to selling dealership which insisted the computer showed no error. The dealer refused to road test the vehicle. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs. They informed me they could NOT do anything to caused the dealership to honor the warranty. They would not help me find another dealership to help me. I located another dealership who found a computer error and debris on the camera repairing the problem. The car now operates properly. Nissan claims they have no control over their dealers so if the dealer wont honor the warranty the problem falls on the purchaser. The car had less than 6000 miles when this occurred.

Never ever will I buy another Nissan. Let me share my experience with you.
Never ever will I buy another Nissan. Let me share my experience with you. I was happy to lease my new Xterra last fall (8 months ago). However, they never sent me billing info or statements; yet, they began harassing phone calls immediately. I mean 8-10 calls per day and mostly from people that spoke very broken English. I would state that no payment book was ever sent nor any statement sent to my address. This was the case for the first three months. And yet, the harassing phone calls continued as well as late payment fees. I even drove to and spoke with the general manager at the Nissan dealership where I leased the vehicle. He stated that they had had many complaints about Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp from customers. My newest issue was this month when I moved into a new home and was also traveling for work (June 2012). Because so much was going on, I forgot to send out the payment the first of the month, and the harassing phone calls began immediately. Im not talking 3-4 weeks late. Im talking 7-10 days late and phone calls all day, every day, including weekends. I called Nissan to pay for this month and next and they told me that I have almost $500 in toll-booth violations I have to pay. This puts me over the edge. One, I use toll highways maybe once or twice a month. If that, two, I have EZ Pass and it comes right out of my account. After speaking to several reps who speak very limited English, I am put on hold for 20 minutes and am eventually disconnected. I called back and went through the entire experience again and finally got to speak with a supervisor. I tried to explain my situation after again giving all my info (which takes an eternity) and the supervisor begins talking over me from the very first moment, arguing and questioning everything I am saying. She will not listen to anything I say and tried to argue with me, basically calling me a liar. This continues until I can take no more and I snapped.Advice: regardless of how much you like the Nissan vehicle you are looking at purchasing, dont buy a Nissan. I have owned dozens of cars and have never ever had a negative experience like this from day one. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Most unprofessional people/organization I have ever had to deal with!

Purchased a Nissan Sentra new in 2011. The CVT Transmission has went out at 79000 miles. Nissan extended the warranty on these same transmissions through 2010. Because they were having major issues. Called Nissan and they informed me today that they would not help with the repair of the transmission because so far no one has had issues other than myself. So now I will have to spend $3800.00 to be repaired. But there is an issue concerning the CVT Transmission that has not been fixed for several years. If I had done my homework I would have not purchased any car with this transmission. Read the reviews please dont get stuck like I have.

Shame on Nissan! I am extremely disappointed by the way I was treated. My steering lock control unit went out and even though there was a petition to get this part recalled I had to pay for the part. It was past the warranty, but I was told that if I took my car to a dealership, I would get a fair review of my case by Megan, the regional consumer affairs specialist, in hopes of warranty assistance. She denied my claim in part because my 2009 Altima had not been to a dealership since 2011, implying that I was not a loyal customer. Why would I take my car to a dealership if there isnt any repairs that need to be done on it? I have owned FIVE , Nissans and bought 1 brand new car and 1 used car from Suntrup, not to mention personal recommendations. I have paid Nissan upwards of $40,000. If that isnt customer loyalty I dont know what is. Complaints have filed with the BBB, FTC, and NHTSA.

I took my vehicle in for an oil change and 60,000 mile tune up. For prevent measures the service technician advised me to have my transmission replaced. When i picked up the vehicle, I noticed within 5 miles a popping noise and hesitation during acceleration. The consequence was I had to take the vehicle back to Nissan and was told at that time that the Transfer Case had to be replaced, unneeded service and unneeded out of pocket expense. For both the corporation and myself.

After contracting for a 2016 Nissan NV200 in April, my husband was taken critically ill within two weeks prior to the vehicle being delivered. Although I know Bob Bell had no legal obligation to assist me, I contacted the GM and requested the deal be voided, as I no longer had the financial position to pay for the vehicle. I also contacted Nissan Motor Corporation. I received no consideration or assistance from either the dealer or Nissan Corporation. Although I was a repeat customer, and a member of the Baltimore, MD community - I was told the deal could not be reversed, even though I had not taken delivery of the van. I offered to have Bob Bell keep my trade in - which was for sale through their used car inventory with no refund to me - as my contribution to the situation, in addition to providing another $2,000.00 to avoid any dealer loss. Nothing. I can only assume I had so overpaid for the van that even before delivery, my trade in profit and an additional $2,000 was still too little for Bob Bell to make on a non-sale. Both Nissan Corporation and Bob Bell Nissan in Baltimore should rethink their commitment to the buying community that has made them successful.

I purchased the vehicle in 2010. I asked for a CARFAX report and received a CARFAX for another vehicle stating there is no accident or issue with the car. The vehicle was bought used with 36,000 miles. At 65,000 miles, my transmission started to give me problems and needed to be replaced. I got the transmission replaced. At about 75,000 miles, the transmission required replacement again and was fixed. Recently, at 84,000 miles, the transmission needed replacement again. My vehicle is covered under warranty till 120,000 miles. But this constant problem is a huge hindrance in my work and life. Ive contacted Nissan North America to have them only say they’re sorry for the issues and to try nothing. What am I supposed to do when the warranty is up and I can’t afford a $3,000 transmission repair? Im extremely upset by this and need actions to be taken to remedy the problem.

We WERE a Nissan family. 2012 Rouge on second transmission. First faulty transmission caught fire after Service Manager assured us the car was fine to drive. This left my 18 year old daughter on the side of a highway with a flaming car. 2015 Rouge CVT needed to be replaced. Sounded like the wheels were going to fall off. 2012 Versa transmission replaced the same week as the 2012 Rouge. Researched the Versa and it had air bags that were recalled and I was never notified. Called Corporate Nissan and spoke with two separate representatives that could have cared less that for safety or reliability. My daughters were both dismissed by service managers that told them their cars were fine. I am a single mom who has purchased 8 Nissans over the past 25 years. After speaking with Corporate Nissan three cars are going to be traded very quickly!!! BUY ELSEWHERE.

I purchased my Altima in 2011 from Newburgh Nissan, Harte Auto Group. Boy was I ripped off! I felt that I was bait & switched when it came to the deal and paperwork. Clearly, after I realized that I paid WAY too much for this vehicle, nobody wanted to hear about it. Not the dealership and not Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. My payment is way too high for what I can afford since DAY 1. NMAC will NOT work with me regarding possibly modifying the terms of my loan. They dont care. Representatives there are very nasty. No notes was ever noted when I call. I seem to explain my story over and over again. Now nearly sinking clearly into a state of bankruptcy - JUST FOR THIS LOAN/CAR - Im sick to my stomach. In this day and age, you would think auto creditors would WANT to work with you - have a little bit of understanding and compassion to try and make it work. Nissan does NOT. I will NEVER recommend or purchase another Nissan product as long as I breathe and walk this earth. Ive made mistakes in my life - but this one was by far, the worst Ive ever done. Once again, not the dealer or NMAC will even try to listen to me or work with me to make my situation a little easier. DONT BUY A NISSAN!!!

Bought my 2012 Nissan Juke brand new and have had top notch maintenance (ie required oil changes, transmission fluid change, filter changes, etc.) at the same and only licensed Nissan dealer. The recall in 2014 of the Nissan Juke timing chain prompted me to take it in and get it fixed (although I was having no problems) -- I had approximately 36,000 miles on it then. Now, 56,000 miles later, I am at 92,000 miles and have been hearing a noise coming from under the hood. Took it to the same dealer and lo and behold... Its the timing chain. Nissan consumer affairs feels like theyre doing me a favor by covering ONLY the parts for this ($485.00) and Im suppose to fork over the remaining $1200.00 for labor. Really Nissan? They say my car is out of warranty. This has absolutely nothing to do with warranty. First, my car has had top notch maintenance with documented proof at the dealership. Second, the elephant in the room is the fact that Nissan refuses to take responsibility that this is a premature failure of the timing chain they put in 56,000 miles ago. This will be the first and last Nissan I ever purchase. How sad, a multi-million dollar company cant afford to please a customer and do the right thing by standing behind their parts. Goodbye Nissan, youve lost me as a future buyer. Shame on you.

I own a Nissan Juke MY 2013, mileage of 67,000 km, ever since I purchased the car and I am complaining that it is not giving the full power even when I press on the pedal. I have missed the service for 10.000 km back in 2015 and when I visited them in December 2016 I asked them to do the major service and repair whatever is in the car. Everything went smooth, no issues in the car and I took it back. On July 19th 2016 I took the car there for a quick service and complained about the same issue. (Car doesnt give full power.) They got back to me with the fact that the CVT assembly have an internal defect and that my warranty will not cover it because of the missed service.I work for one of the biggest automotive companies as a Warranty specialist in the middle east office which means I know my rights and the customers right. This of course raised many questions: When I bought the car from Al Rostamani I was informed that the car comes with 5 years warranty / 100 km. Apparently the car comes with 3 years only and the other two years are insurance warranty. (Dubai insurance.) I did NOT receive or signed any legal; document which shows me the terms and conditions of this insurance warranty, only the terms and conditions in the service booklet which obviously doesnt say: Your warranty will be void if you missed a service.I asked the service advisor in Dubai: Did it fail due to low amount of transmission oil? NO. Did you find any metal particles in the transmission oil or the oil was burned? NO. And since they cannot disassemble the transmission, then how did they know that it was misused!!! The middle east office offered 75% coverage on the repair. And I do appreciate it but: legally speaking, is it fair to charge the customer for a product defect, the missed service have no direct impact on the damage, if it did then it would fail in December when I got the car there for a full check. I am completely disappointed in how they are marketing for these 5 years warranty just to increase their sales. I am definitely raising this to the consumer protection, as soon as I receive an official letter from the dealer in Dubai and Nissan middle east providing me with the T&C of my warranty and a valid reason on why the repair is not covered.

I know that this probably isnt relevant anymore, but I just wanted to provide my experience(s) with Nissan vehicles. When I got out of the Navy in 1979 and landed my first job. I bought my first new vehicle which was a Datsun King Cab (Nissan was the parent company of Datsun back then). This truck was wonderful, and everything you could hope for with reliability, great gas mileage, comfort and durability! So, in 1985 when it came time to replace this truck (Datsun had already changed their name to Nissan by then) I thought well heck, I had such great luck with my Datsun so there was no need to even shop around. That was a big mistake! I was young and impulsive then. Keep in mind that this is about vehicle that I bought brand new back in 1985. So, I plunked down my 18K for a new 2 wheel drive Nissan King Cab. The only option it had was air conditioning and thats it! It had no power steering and was difficult to drive at low speeds like in a parking lot. There was some black overspray under the hood that I cant imagine was supposed to be there since it looked like it didnt serve a purpose. The next things will astound you! When you drove the vehicle on the freeway at anything over 55 mph, you could not roll the windows completely up! Thats right, there was a vacuum created where the side windows actually pulled in and away from the window tracks just enough to not allow for the them to not close all the way. This was solved by reducing your speed below 55 mph. (I had good old fashioned hand cranks). Oh, it gets better. Since the front brake pads were metallic, the brakes had this loud metal on metal grinding sound that you could hear all the way down the block every time you approached a stop sign or light. People would actually look at you and stare! I went to the dealer about this and they said that since the pads were metallic that was normal and they just needed to break in. That sound never went away the whole year I owned the truck. Ok, next, The truck had several bolts missing here and there so I think it was a quality control issue at the factory. That didnt cause me any concern except that I thought what else was missing in areas that I couldnt see? Ok next, The air conditioner and heater worked very well (for 18K, in 1985 dollars it better have) except when it rained outside. The defroster simply could not keep up with any and all the condensation on the inner windshield. Even if you had the fan at full speed for long periods of time and tried different settings, nada. You had this foggy haze that would not go away on the inside of the windshield. I actually had to keep a squeegee on my dashboard and every so often reach for it and squeegee my interior windshield while driving. Nissan could at least provided me with a squeegee, enough said. Did I mention I paid 18 thousand dollars back in 1985 for this brand new truck? The plastic grille was held on with some cheap plastic fasteners that after a few months gave out so the grille would always vibrate loose. I think that was about it. I sold that truck private party for a loss for payoff. I dont know if Nissans quality control, engineering, and manufacturing had improved since then, but I vowed that I would NEVER NEVER NEVER buy another Nissan EVER again! This will crack you up. A year later, Nissan sends me this survey to complete and return. After I ripped them a new one, I never heard back from them ever again! Did I mention that I paid $18,000 in 1985 dollars for this truck? LOL. Their advertising campaign back then was Nissan, we are driven. What they didnt tell you was that they were driven to sell you an inferior overpriced vehicle. On a positive note, I think that all the Nissan engineers have long since retired and are laughing all the way to the bank unless of course, they purchased a Nissan.

Nissan of Duarte - I brought in my car to get my USB port checked and strange noises coming from under the car. When I went to pick up my car, I found a long crack in the windshield. I left the car for a week to get the windshield replaced. When I picked up my car the following week, I was really disappointed. There was a scratch on the windshield by the drivers side. The glass is not OEM glass, much cheaper glass. When I play the radio, the sounds dont resonate as well as before. The seals around the windshield dont look like as good as it should be. The glass looked very dirty/dusty like it was an old windshield lying around. They did some things they believed would make the strange sounds go away, like tightened the emergency brakes and tightened the steering wheel. I absolutely dont like the changes and plus, the strange sound didnt go away. Worst yet, I found out that my seat is broken. It was not broken when I left my car for the windshield replacement. Overall, my experience has been horrible with Nissan and Nissan cars.

The CVT Transmission failed in my 2012 Rogue with 86,000 mileage and Nissan is aware of this issue in other models and has never corrected the issue. Driving along and the gas pedal would not move the vehicle and this was very serious on the road. Someone could lose their life if this is not corrected! Nissan will not assist in the repairs even though they are aware of this issue because I had to take the vehicle to a local transmission garage and not a Nissan Dealership Service Center. I did contact them and they offered no assistance whatsoever. Pretty much told me I was out of luck. Never again will I purchase from Nissan.

The mileage is still terrible. Nissan is telling me the advertised mileage of 23-30 mpg is an estimate only so if Im getting ten mpg, they are not responsible and they will not help me in any way. I feel lied to, this is my last Nissan. I contacted the attorney general, so far no response.

I did tried calling the closest Nissan dealership which was several miles away but they were closed. I have been paying for an extended warranty mind you thousand of dollars and they told me even if the part was covered they wouldnt reimburse me because I took it to a garage other than Nissan. This is absolute bull. Theyd rather I do that vs go right across the street late at night stranded. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NISSAN AGAIN. Bought the used 2012 Nissan Sentra S in July and after starting to drive it, kept hearing a popping and clunking noise coming from the passenger side rear area. Pops and snaps when turning the wheel right and braking and straightening the steering. I have spoken with other owners of the Nissan Sentra and they have the same issues. Some customers have spent lots of money trying to resolve the issue but I think Nissan needs to step up and take the responsibility for a faulty design. Other Nissans owners are having the same issues. Scary to drive and seems difficult to diagnose, but may be coming from the steering or wheel area. Please help us to keep the reviews positive for Nissan here in Smyrna but at this point it is not a pleasant experience.

They have basically done nothing to help get this car back on the road.

The Rogue although slightly underpowered is a delight to drive. It feels so much larger than its compact size. AWD helps in winter driving plus a vast array of safety features add to driver safety. The best recommendation, its comfortable to drive. So much that I prefer it to our second vehicle a sport sedan costing considerably more.

I had a beautiful WORKING 2011 Nissan Sentra. But after being flooded by a hurricane I ended up getting a 2013 Nissan Sentra. The car was great until 12k. It started to have all kinds of issues and after a long back and forth, I sold the car back to Nissan. (But here is the kicker, even though the brakes were faulty on it and would wear out too fast (I was not riding them), Nissan still refused to refund me. So I had to take a huge loss and look for a new car with already negative equity). The dealership I bought my 2013 Sentra with was willing to work with me and got me into a 2014 Nissan Altima. (Of course with payments being high and this was the only deal I could get.)A month of owning the car, I get a call from Nissan saying I did not make a payment for my 2013 Sentra and the car is in jeopardy of being repo. I told the guy that I sold the car and asked why that information was not in the computer. Thinking it was an honest mistake, I called the Nissan Dealership where I bought the Altima and they said, Oh yeah we sent that in, you should be fine. 2 months of owning the Altima I get another call asking about payments on the Sentra. Then 2 days after that, I get a letter stating that I was not approved for the loan on the Altima and needed to return it. I was confused because I had already made 2 payments towards the loan on the Altima. I called corporate Nissan and asked what was going on. They stated that when I applied for the loan, I was approved but then I got disapproved. WHAT??? I stated that I already made two payments for the Altima and was wondering where that money was going. They told me Oh that is going towards your loan. I asked what loan was that. The 2013 Nissan Sentra. I could not believe that I was paying for a car that was no longer in my possession. (It was even sold at the dealership.) I immediately called the Nissan Dealership and asked what was going on. They said not to worry. We will fix it. A month later I get the same letter. Repeating last month, I finally got the whole situation resolved. I took my car into its first oil change and then the problems started occurring. The radio and back up camera stopped working after a month. I took the car in to express my concerns about the radio. They updated it and said Everything is good to go. I didnt even leave the lot and I put the car into reverse, the camera flickers green and shuts off. Then the radio reset itself and shuts down. I went back in to tell them nothing was fixed. They replied Oh we will have to order a new radio. That will take about 2 weeks. I took the car home and waited 2 weeks for the radio to arrive. Once it came in, they replaced it and I tested out, everything seemed great and I drove off. 5 hours later it stops working again. (Keep in mind this radio is brand new.) I take it back in and they hold it for a week to find out the issue. Upon returning the car to me, they told me they replaced the back up camera and the radio.I have had the car for a day and now there is a very loud clicking and rattling noise coming from the engine. THE ENGINE! Now I am not a mechanic but I am pretty sure you do not need to access the engine when replacing a backup camera and a radio. I called the dealership where it was for the past week and there was no answer. (I called 5 times.) Then I tried a different Nissan dealership and was told, Well we dont want to touch what they have done and would need copies of all the paperwork. Also if we were to move forward, we would have to call that dealership to get permission from them to work on the car. WHAT?! Last I checked I am paying the monthly payments on my car, not the dealership. I tried contacting Nissan consumer affairs and they tell me Take it to your local dealer. It is my dealer that has caused this mess. I cant take it to a different dealership because they want permission, I cant get a hold of anyone from my current dealership, and I am stuck with this car because of the negative equity. This is my last Nissan. Their mechanics are terrible and their whole business is shady. I am done.

My Terrano 11s alternator went down and so I contacted my local garage who after ringing round said that the part would cost a massive £130-00 inc VAT. The part would take a couple of days as this was a Friday. I thought that I would also try to see if I could speed things up a little by contacting my local Nissan dealer, Nissan Bradford (Bristol St Motors), they also said that it would take a few days and the cost would be ONLY £1300-00, yes £1300-00. When I complained all I got was that Nissan set the cost and thats all there was to it. Is it that the warranty was different? NO. Both had 1 years warranty. Is the Nissan part made of Gold? No. It is in my opinion that They are BOTH profiteering.

I purchased a 2015 Nissan Rogue in January. This summer when I traveled a period of time (about 45 mins.) the a/c would stop cooling. After having it checked by my dealer/service I was told thats normal since it is how the car gets better mpg. The only way I can keep cool on long drives is to turn off the a/c when it stops cooling, wait a period of time and let the a/c reset then turn the a/c back on. Im on my second leased vehicle from Nissan, and until today, I have never had an issue with the vehicle and/or Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (NMAC). Last year, I decided to take a job out of state, and I brought the vehicle with me on a trailer. I called Nissan and informed of them my change of address as soon as I has settled in, so that the correct taxes were included on my monthly bill and any correspondence would be forwarded to my new address. I also inquired about early termination penalties since I knew I would be getting a company vehicle in 2016. I drove my Nissan for a few months, until my company car was available, and then it just sat in my garage. A couple of months after that, I decided I didnt want to keep paying insurance for a vehicle that I wasnt using, so I called NMAC and spoke to an agent about my options. This was sometime in February or March 2016 and my lease isnt up until December 2016. I was told by an agent (whose name I didnt write down) that I could return the vehicle after inspection and continue to make my automatic monthly payments until the end of my lease agreement. She arranged for AIM to come inspect the vehicle at my home and gave me instructions for the dealership. She was actually very helpful. Shortly after my inspection, I returned the vehicle to a nearby dealership and continued to make my monthly payments. However, on July 5, I received a letter from NMAC requesting the remaining balance on my account by July 16. I called the NMAC customer service number and was told by another agent that once I returned the vehicle to the dealership, my account was closed and my automatic payments were stopped. I offered to pay the 3 months of missed payments due to the oversight, and reinstate my automatic payments until the end of my lease agreement in December, but this apparently is not an option. The only option now is pay the remaining balance owed by July 16. If I do not make a payment by then (today is July 25), my account will be sent to collections. Had I known about this policy, believe me, I would not have returned my vehicle in April. I was provided incorrect information by the agent I spoke to in February or March of this year, and I am not being penalized for it. I didnt receive a letter informing me of the situation, prior to this one, because the letters were being sent to my old home address. However, my cell phone number (primary number on my account) has never changed. In the 5 years I have been leasing a vehicle from Nissan, I have never missed a payment, and now I am going to be sent to collections for trying to do the responsible thing. This is not how you treat a loyal customer. I find it ridiculous that a company would rather pay a collection agency to set up a monthly payment schedule with their customer, than work with them in the first place to come to an understanding. All I want to do is keep paying my bill responsibly, as I have been for the last 5 years I have leased a vehicle with Nissan. NMACs intransigent attitude is not good customer service. I for one, will never buy or lease a vehicle from Nissan again.

On May 1st 2015, my car would not start. I had to have it towed to a Nissan dealer. I found out it was a faulty steering column mechanism. This faulty part was recognized by Nissan and they extended the warranty. I filed a claim for reimbursement online and later received a call stating my claim would not be covered because it was out of the warranty time.....by 1 week!! This is Nissans problem because they knew the part was faulty. Online, I found a lot of unhappy people about this issue. That doesnt even include the people who wouldnt complain online.. I was hoping they would stand by their product, especially when they knew it was faulty.

I have a case # **. I have bought a lot of cars in the past, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi. I bought a Nissan Sentra because of their reputation. I am very dissatisfied. I do not believe I would be buying another Nissan in the future. I have taken the car back 6 times for the same problem, cracking noise in dashboard. They said they fix it and a week later, it starts again. This time, I am very upset, I took the car to Lake Nissan in Leesburg, FL. I am staying in Orlando for a while. They told me they replaced a broken clip. When I picked up the car, they put some kind of foam around front of dashboard. The foam is sticking out. It does not look very nice. They DID not put paper on floor to work on the car. This is the 6th time I take it to a dealer. I bought a new car not to have issues and this is awful. When I went to the dealership at Lake Nissan in Leesburg, they were trying to get me a new car and get rid of my car, but of course I would lose a lot of money. I was willing to do that if I would just lose $1,000.00 but not $4,000.00. They were very persistent to me leasing a car. I had two employees come and talk to me about it. I feel that they were upset, because like I mention before, they really DID not do a good job on the car. I contacted the state consumer affairs. I do not know what else to do. I am so dissatisfied with Nissan. Like I mentioned before, I would not buy another car from Nissan again.

Nissan Corp. shipped to the dealer a rebuilt transmission. That transmission continued with the same identical problems as the original. Approximately 8 months later that transmission stopped working on a major freeway during rush hour. The dealer replaced that transmission. The car now has 50k miles on it and I continues to have the same shifting problems with the transmission. I am the original owner of a 2006 Nissan Xterra. On Oct. 25, 2017 I took my Xterra in to be serviced as a preventative measure since I was recently informed of a radiator/transmission problem with the Xterra, Pathfinder and Frontier models 2005-2010. After speaking with my neighbor who also has a 2006 Xterra and replaced his radiator; I decided to have my radiator replaced as well (even though I experienced no problems with it) just so I could prevent any infusion of coolant into the transmission.Much to my surprise Nick called me with the bad news that damage was already done & would cost $6,800 to replace the radiator, transmission and fluids. This also included labor costs. Being fearful of a potential problem I did not want to wait 2 weeks for both the arrival of a new transmission & the mechanics return from vacation; I chose to take the vehicle to another shop. At shop #2 the mechanic informed me there was nothing wrong with the transmission and could not see what the mechanic at Nissan (Greg) claimed to have found; e.g. leakage of coolant and lots of rust in the transmission and on the fluid stick. He did however, find a petroleum based substance in the radiator and was his opinion that oil was placed in the coolant.Upon having the radiator flushed & bypassed from the coolant entering the transmission, replacing the thermostat & radiator cap (due to damage of the rubber seals from the oil) the cost was $677.84 with labor included; an expense I should never have had to endure. On Nov. 8, 2017 I spoke with Jack **, MGR and shared the findings of the 2nd mechanic. In a nutshell he basically told me he could not help me and stood by his mechanic’s findings. He went on to say “Sorry for your loss” and “If the vehicle was running good at this time he recommended that I sell it”. I have always trusted Nissan to provide excellent care and stand by their products. I have had my vehicle serviced only with Nissan for the past 11 yrs; with Montrose Nissan for the past 7 years. I am sorry to say “they have certainly dropped the ball this time” and me being the loyal compliant customer will not be returning from this point on.

I purchased brand new Versa Note in August 2014, from the beginning the car was acting strangely - turning signal didnt work properly, the car was wavering on the road, made all weird cracking sounds and after every long ride, burning smell was coming out from left and rights tires. I brought it to Nissan services, but they couldnt determine the problem. I dont know anything about the cars, but can tell that eventually part of the axle was changed. Two weeks later I was driving back to Nissan with emergency lights on. Car was shaking so badly that I couldnt keep it in one lane. Once they took it on a test drive the wheel fell off!!! And they had to evacuate my car!! No one knows what was the problem, but they decided to replace the whole axle. Thanks God I didnt take a freeway that morning when I was bringing my car to a dealership! I am not satisfied!! I am pissed!! I am upset!! I purchased a new car, because I believed it would give me a sense of safety and security. But actually I got a lemon instead!! Mine and my kids life was put in danger! The car has a bit more than 5.000 miles on it, I am so caring with it, but it is bad. I am afraid to drive it now, even when it is being fixed, one week ago the wheel came off (which I doubt happens on a regular bases), how can I know that one week from now the roof will not be blown away or the car will not explode, or something else!!And another thing - when I cancelled some of my Christmas plans and was ready to go to pick up my car, Nissan representative called me and left a voice mail, saying: Oh, the car is not ready yet, I forgot to tell you that while we were fixing the axle we scratched the bumper... It sounded like they forgot to fill up the tank! I dont know if they are the one who responsible for the wheel falling off (because 2 weeks before it happened they were replacing the bolt) or Nissan just makes lemons, but I want this crap to be resolved! I have never heard or been in such a ridiculous and at the same time stupid and banal situation! I am going to talk to a lawyer. I want you to replace my car, return my money or other options. But I dont want to have any business with your company anymore. It is a big name, but a thin quality level.

He even suggested to me the findings of my vehicle, (which was a transmission problem) and if I had an extended warranty that could of fix it. Sorry to say for myself I didnt, so I am left with an 80,000 mileage 2015 vehicle with a transmission problem involving a transmission switch that needs to be replace and they refuse to touch it because it seals with the transmission and suggested that I either pay for a new transmission (4000 dollars) or have one rebuild. I am not happy with the findings cause I look at my vehicle as being a very durable vehicle under 100000 mileage and a transmission problem should not be in the mix. I have own a 1995 Toyota Camry with its mileage over 145000 and never had a transmission problem (probably would of still had it if someone did not hit into me on the road). To hear that Nissan vehicle is that unreliable make me question why my family supports them in the business. My cousins (4 of them), brother, myself, and other military friends and teachers have these vehicle made from Nissan and need to know; when the chips are down Nissan is not there for you to assist you in any way. They toss you aside like you are just another number to them. Their manufacture quality seems to be low and they dwell on customers paying extra for an extended warranty in order to fix their poor mechanical car issues. If I ever choose to get a car from them again it would be a while cause I have to make sure I am able to pay for their extended warranty.

On May 21, 2014 I purchased a 2014 Nissan Altima with 40 miles. When I was about to drive off I noticed a dent in the front bumper and I was written a promise letter stating that Nissan will replace to front bumper. Today is June 6, 2014 and my car has yet to be repaired. I am so freaking angry. The only thing Nissan do is give me excuse after excuse. I am so pissed off that Nissan would even give me a car with a dent. I have emailed Nissan my problem and I still have not been giving my promises. What should I do??????

Nissan received full payoff amount of my Rogue. It was sent express mail and received on May 3rd, 2012. Nissan lost my check and, as a result, I made 8 calls regarding this matter to no avail. Each time I explained the situation and, each time, I was told the matter would be handled and I would be called. Finally, after no calls from Nissan regarding the $21,314.57 lost check, I called on June 28th to no satisfaction and to be told I would have to pay a fee. This was certainly very irritating and very poor customer service. This was all unnecessary and the matter should have been handled properly by one individual.

I am so shocked as suddenly at the end of my term of financing with Nissan financing when I called them as a payment of 375.00 had not been taken from my account at christmas. I have had the lease/financing with them for over four years now. Then they suddenly mentioned in passing that I had maybe 7 or 8 NSF FEES on a past due account!! I said that I had never heard of this before and if so why had someone not/never contacted me by phone, email or letter to inform me of this. I have had no knowledge of this. Why did they not contact me prior. This is not reflected in my bank statements or monthly online statements. If it is a bank error I still require some proof or a letter or statement from them they will not give it. I have always received my mail from them before!! Now all I get is calls and threats form them BUT as I have asked repeatedly for a statement of bill or something on paper regards this. They say they sent it. I have received nothing and how can I pay fees. I have never been informed of fees, not missed payments. I have no missed payment except for the one they did not take out at christmas. I have written them and sent an express mail to them requesting the letter and Proof. I mean they could make up anything they want. I am really feeling pressured to pay as they mentioned they can come after my vehicle but I am not sure how to proceed. Can you please please advise me on this matter.

I recently traded in my leased Nissan Altima for a used Juke at Vaden Nissan in Bluffton SC. I gave them the payoff on my Altima (through Nissan Motor Acceptance), which they confirmed. The dealership also performed an inspection on my Altima. We discussed a new deal for a used Nissan Juke. They agreed to pay off my Nissan balance, and I financed the price that we agreed to. Four months later I get a bill saying that I owe Nissan Motor Acceptance $1273. I called Nissan Motor Acceptance, and they claimed there was excessive wear and tear on the vehicle, along with an early termination fee. This Altima was in very good shape when Vaden looked at it. It was my understanding when I drove my Juke out their dealership, that we agreed to a deal which had a commitment from both sides. Now they are telling me the charges are non-negotiable. I told both Nissan Motor Acceptance and Vaden Nissan that if I would have known that I owed another $1273, there is no way I would have completed this deal. Who does business like that??? I have NEVER had a problem with Subaru or Toyota coming back to me for charges after a lease. As far as I am concerned, when we agreed to certain numbers, then I shook hands with the salesman, and then drove off the lot, the deal should be over!!! Thanks for reading!

We originally filed for a refund of the cash value of the Vehicle Ext. Warranty and Maintenance Contracts on October 28, 2011 with the Bob Rohrman Nissan dealership. We were told 6-8 weeks before we would receive the credit. Dec. 15th, we contacted Nissan Customer Service and spoke with Cedric 1800-Nissan ext **. He stated that Nissan showed that they had never received anything from the dealer. He gave an address and a list of documentation that was needed to start the claim all over. Via certified letter mailed on 12/20/11, we sent him the original copy of Odometer Disclosure Statement from the dealer dated 10/14/11, copy of Wells Fargo statement showing the rogue being paid off posted on 10/21/11 and the original copy of Nissan Extended Services North America Dealer Cancellation Request from Bob Rohrman Nissan of Chesterton dated 10/28/11. The letter was signed for on 12/28/11.Chitana at ** received a similar complaint like this and responded in early January 2012. She then passed the case on to Jane ** at ext **. Jane does not remember conversations from one day to the next. She blames the dealership CFO for not getting back to her. She called and said she is waiting for a confirmation number from another department, which she had told me this now for over a month but she will be calling me back with days with the info then never calls. She told me she is contacting the dealer about the value of the maintenance contract, but now says there is no record of contradicting what Chitana told me. It has been 22 weeks since the claim was initiated. I am close to filing in small claims courts and hiring an attorney for the complaint. The claim will be for the initial credits, attorney fees, court costs and interest.

I came across the mission of your company on your website. Since months I have serious and justified doubts on this mission. Let me explain: My Nissan Trail (1 year old - warranty) that I bought last year in January 2016 in Windhoek, Namibia has been under repair since 27 August 2016 until today (!) after an engine jamming. A long story of promises by the local Nissan dealer has been culminating in a statement by the dealer last Monday, 6 March 2017: We are sorry the engine has no compression and we have to bring it back to repair to the engine workshop. So I am waiting now for more than 7 months for my car with now not any prediction when it is going to be ready. And if it is could Nissan warrant that it is functioning? Engine repair is not standard anymore in Europe, but is overtaxed to customers in Africa. All this questions and more in detail I addressed in a written complaint to Nissan South Africa with not any answer so far. I hope you can address this mismatch between your mission and my experience as soon as possible. A frustrated customer.

I purchase the car new in 2012. Windshield cracked for no apparent reason: was told that it was due to the cold weather of winter. Out of pocket several hundred dollars since dealer and Nissan Canada refused to cover under warranty. Remote starter intermittent: sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt: Nissan says that cold weather can prevent it from working...geees! I live in Canada! What a useful gadget to work when it is cold outside. Surface rust on trunk: according to body shop, this is a common problem with Nissan. They covered it. Surface rust inside door: mileage at 59800 km but was 24 days after warranty: no warranty. Nissan called me recently to purchase new car: I told to forget me and put on their do not call list. I am going to sell the car this year (maybe trade-in) for a car manufacturer that has a better reputation.

I purchased a new Nissan pathfinder in 2005 and I did just had issues with it at 87k miles transmission broke and Nissan didnt want to take responsibilities for the repairs so I had to fix it myself. Exactly one year later the radiator broke and leaked coolant to the transmission and transmission broke again. This time Nissan said OK we are going to give you a free transmission, but we have to install it. I paid Nissan 4k dollars to install the transmission and 6 months later I had problems with the thermostat and I decide to exchange it and I promise to myself that I will never buy a Nissan vehicle in my life again. In the past I had purchased Nissan Sentra, Pathfinder 97, Armada, Nissan pickup hard-body and I just have Toyota and Chevrolet, and I am very happy with my vehicles.

I bought a 2012 Nissan Rouge new in 2012. Last week while driving on a busy street 285 in Atlanta the car lost power and I almost had a few accidents. I took the car to a Nissan dealer in Buford GA and they said the transmission was gone. I have 82,000 miles on the car. I asked how much to fix, they said around $5000.00. I explained that other places said $3500, they told me the reason its this high is Nissan will not put in a transmission without a blower to cool the transmission fluid thats what is causing the breakdowns. I asked why was this not on my car when I bought it, he just looked at me. I said is this a defect, he did not answer. The blower is an additional $1200 for just the blower. I talked to Nissan and asked them to cover the whole replacement. They offered $1,000 which does not even cover the blower. This should and I am sure will be a recall someday. I guess I will park the car till then. Lastly in talking to the lady in warranty she had no clue about the blower and said she does not know cars but thats her decision. Can someone help me with this.

Bought a new truck in June of 2020. Within the first few months it had 2 radiator leaks, showed signs of a/c leaking and possible injector leak at the 1 and 3 cylinders due to dirt build up around them. After passing by police radar on the side of the road at 40 mph on speedometer it showed 37, 36, so 4 mph off. When I took it in to the dealership with the radiator leaking fixed one leak completely a loose screw on the radiator switched radiator cap from radiator to overflow slowed the leak ordered new radiator cap. While their computer was reset to attempt to fix speedometer. After reset at low speed 40 mph radar showed 39 mph. After getting past left and right at highway speeds used GPS speedometer which showed me only doing 72 sometimes 73.To reach 75 mph on GPS speedometer must get to 78 or 79mph on my dash. This greatly increases the mileage on the vehicle and runs the warranty out sooner also greatly reduces resale value of the vehicle. The first time I towed a trailer weighing 2200 pounds and a 24 hp compact tractor weighing less than 2200lbs the receiver hitch cracked and Nissan has done nothing to replace it! The last two things that was in the initial list of issues the battery terminals were never coated with corrosion inhibitor and the bed wasnt mounted properly leaving roughly a 1 inch gap of alignment from the side of the bed from the cab. So if you are looking down the truck from the tailgate instead of the bed blending into the can you see it bend inwards from the outside of the bed towards the drivers side of the truck. Well I had also complained about squeaking noises from the front end and was blown off.I have been trying to get the truck repaired for over a year now to no avail. In May 2021 went to check fluids under then noticed that the headlight was cracked roughly 1 to 2 inches from mounting bolt under the hood, went to other side it was cracked as well. Shut hood got to looking center of hood aligns perfectly with grill but both the driver and passenger sides are off. Gaps between hood and fenders arent even. Its about the opposite of the gaps in the tailgate due to it being misaligned. This vehicle was never wrecked unless something happened to it before my purchase at 48 miles. Nissan doesnt want anything to do with me or the repairs that are warranty repairs. If you are thinking about buying a new Nissan save yourself the headache. Buy something better. Service after the sale is horrible. Nissan consumer affairs has promised to fix these issues since my first call. It now has been in the shop for over a month in total this visit 3 weeks and going and as of 4 days ago hadnt even been looked at. Beware of what you buy.

How can the government say rear end crashes will be helped by the very tech
How can the government say rear end crashes will be helped by the very technology that will cause them on the other end? Our 2018 Rogue suddenly started braking, with no reason!! We bought it just a month ago. Was driving 30 mph on a neighborhood road. The car made a loud grinding sound and suddenly stopped dead still. No cars in front or back. No metal plates in the road (I’ve heard things like that, or railroad tracks, even small birds, etc. will trigger the faulty sensor and cause the brakes to engage!). This is a known issue. And is very dangerous and could be deadly. The dealership says they have received no information on this from Nissan, although we have found bulletins issued several times and have printed them out. People will be killed because of this bad technology.

I am filling this out on my mothers behalf. I am sorry I do not have more information. I can get if I pressure her to give it up. But she has been victimized by this company and is giving up because she is mentally drained. Basically, what happened is that the car broke down while on a drive across country, out of state. The part (transmission) needed to fix the car took about a month to come in. We had to rent a car to complete the trip and get home on time. The $850.00 in rental fees are not going to be reimbursed by Nissan. This car already in its short life had a muffler break apart and disintegrate. Our trusted mechanic couldnt get a new muffler because Nissan hadnt made one yet. So, he had to fabricate one. He said that he never saw anything like this! The car is only a 2007!

I have recently had a terrible experience with my 2009 Nissan Rouge CVT transmission and working with the Nissan customer service you should know about. This issue is not new to Nissan. In fact Nissan extended the warranty to 10 years 120,000 miles. However, they never notified customers about this issue until they start to having a problem. Our problem came at 123,000 miles. If you go to Nissans website http://www.nissanassist.com/ProgramDetails.php?menu=2they state that they will provide financial assistance for those customers who may be beyond the warranty period. Nissan just called to tell me that they will not provide any assistance. What a crock. I came to find out that many people who own a 2009 -2013 Rouge or Murano will have issues with their CVT transmission. For those who own Rouge or Murano made between 2009-2013 have your transmission checked out before the warranty expires.

Three months after we bought our Nissan Versa, we got a call from a very snotty representative informing us that they had given us the incorrect title for our car and wanting us to bring it back (an hour and a half drive one way) so they could straighten it out. The fuel mileage was grossly misrepresented on the vehicle. The sticker said it was supposed to get 38 mpg, and I only get 30 at most - all highway driving by the way.The warranty is worthless - a piece of trim flew off the car roughly 5 months after we bought the car, and shortly thereafter, the plastic fog lens replacement piece fell off. The local dealership gave the run-around, canceling two appointments because they didnt want to have to waste their time with us. Just recently (33,000 miles), we realized that the tires needed to be replaced. We called the dealership where we had originally bought the car and were told that unless we had detailed records showing we had done the rotations exactly per their schedule, we were out of luck. The warranty was supposed to be 3 years/36,000 miles bumper to bumper. What a crock! We were told at the Nationally Recognized Chain store we took it to, that Nissan purposely toes-in the tires on their small cars to make the car seem to handle better than it really does. They had badly over-toed the tires on this car, hence the exxagerrated baldness on the tires.

I was told the pulley kit needed to be changed. The following week the suv would not turn on,once it was on the engine light came on. I took the truck to Nissan of Queens , left the truck there for 2 weeks till the transmission came in. When i got my vehicle back i saw my push bar was dented on the passenger side. I took the vehicle back on Monday because it was picked it up while they were closing up so rushing it was not noticed until i got home. The manager Ravi said they were not responsible for the dent. ( My vehicle is always parked in a private driveway and did not have any dents on it) . I called another manager there Sando about 6 times left messages till now i never got a call back. I took my truck back the following week Sept 6th for jerking issues and i saw now they take pictures of each vehicle that goes in for service. They told me they cannot find anything wrong so i contacted consumer affairs. After calling them 3 times i finally got an appt for 10/4/17 . I met with the consumer affairs and as i sat down with him he told me he was only there to discuss the truck. I then realized that the manager Ravi had briefed him on the dent on my truck which occurred on Nissan premises. He told me he would take the truck for a test drive and will let me know what the issues are once he returned. He came back and said he did not experience any issues and he couldnt do anything. I explained to him i spent over $50 K(paid off in 14 mths) on this truck which i only have 3 years now and i was having all the same issues as before. He then told me he would check the fluids after 45 mins he came back and said he found debris in the pan and he would need to order a new transmission. They gave me back my truck 10/4/17 with all the same issues. I left numerous messages for consumer affairs but have not gotten a call back as to when my transmission will be replaced. Now 10/17/17 my daughter got into a accident because when coming to a stop the truck started jerking and hit the vehicle in front of her. I left another message for consumer affairs and awaiting a call back. I am still driving a faulty vehicle and a accident occurred because the the cvt transmission jerking. I purchased a Nissan Rogue 2015 from Koeppel Nissan, Queens NY. It has been in their service department several times for different issues but the main Issue is a Broken Transmission within 6 months of having this car. I had a Nissan Versa 2012 and traded in for this Rogue 2015 and I really regret have done that. Nissan Koeppel has been really unprofessional with me. I found out that they were claiming repairs for my car when my car was not even near their service department. I think that because my car has been IN so many times, they thought that they could claim repairs any time they wanted even when my car was not around.I tried to get in touch with Nissan Consumer Affairs and asked them for support, but they have done anything for me. So I had to contact the BBB and open a complaint. My car still has issues that hasnt been repaired, make noises, the transmission still has issues, the engine is weak, the MPG is only 15 in the city when is supposed to be at least 28, I feel like Im driving a Non-fuel Economy car, Im having issues with my entry Key, the car wont turn on sometimes and the list goes on... And the fact that this dealer in Queens New York was faking some repairs which I confronted on Sep 18th, and because of that I was asked to leave and never come back because I found out that they were lying about my car repairs, at this point, I dont know if they actually fixed my car when my car was actually in their service department.I dont feel safe with this car, I dont believe that they have done anything to my car and Im really disappointed with the service of Koeppel Nissan and Nissan Consumer Affairs. I believe this Nissan Rogue 2015 is a faulty car!!! And I dont want anyone to go through what Im going through, especially as a single mother. I was able to get a meeting with Nissan North America and BBB this month and hopefully they can replace this car or give me back my Nissan Versa. I will keep you posted!

Music and satnav repeatedly keep freezing and als system reboot - I have noticed over the last few months my juke sound and navigation console has been doing the above quite frequently and this is very annoying. I have not added any aux items and was hoping Nissan would have come out with a patch / updated software to fix this glitch, but although there are literally in the hundreds on media including social media, Nissan have not mentioned this or say they have got a patch or even working on it, pray tell me why.

The fuel pump went out on my 2011 Nissan Versa. This is really not supposed to happen to a new car. I was out two tows and a nights stay at a hotel. The folks at the Nissan dealership in Victoria, TX were super great to work with and they assured me I would be reimbursed. Flash forward to a month with no return emails or calls from the regional customer service office. Not as much as a single update. My husband is going to contact them now and if that does the trick, there really are no words. I hope that this stereotype is proven so that I get my money, but I hope for Nissans sake it is not as that is obvious discrimination.

2005 Nissan Xterra, low miles (less than 60,000). Oil in radiator (Listed on mechanics repair summary). Engine replacement cost $6,000. Submitted claim to Nissan as part of Class Action. Received settlement of $190. Should have been obvious that: 1) Engine shouldnt fail at 60,000 miles (Nissan mechanics have told me that engine is bullet-proof), 2) engine oil in radiator indicates some level of engine failure.

Brought 2013 Altima in for OCS recall in 2016. After performing reprogram per recall OCS failed again. They charged me $502.69 to fix the OCS problem. The recall was supposed to address. Even after charging me and making the repair the OCS is STILL broken. Contacted Nissan and was told a supervisor would get back to me the next day over a week later and the supervisor still has not gotten in touch with me. Today the first person Id contacted told me they wouldnt help me. NHTSA has record of nearly 8,000 similar complaints.

Called Nissan customer affairs talked to a Trey. No help... Asked to talked to his supervisor then talked to a Alica (not sure on name). Voiced my disconcern with my customer service at a dealership. Asked for Alica for a email with her name and my case number. Said she would. Well she had Trey call me back then he said he would. Keep in mind they dont have employee ID numbers and cant use last names. They work in your Tennessee office. Neither one of Nissan customer affair case workers could send me a simple email. All they wanted to do was close the case which I had to call and have re-opened 1st time. Basically its waste of time to complain to them. Almost sure nothing was done or will be done. Best they could with all their experience suggest a I get a second opinion... I felt like the dealership was being shady.

I cant tell you how disappointed I am with Nissan Consumer Affairs regarding a problem we have experienced with our 2005 Nissan Murano. Im referring to Case ** in which they told us that our car needed a transfer case replacement. Although the Murano is 9 years old it only has 24,900 miles on it. Nissan has quoted me $3,200 to fix this problem. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs (a gentleman named Will) because I did not feel a transfer case should go out after only 24,900 miles on it, even though it may be 9 years old. He claims they looked into this issue and offered to pay a token $500 towards the $3,200 repair bill. This seems extremely low, and that Nissan feels no responsibility for the mechanical failure of their cars. When I asked what would cause a transfer case to go out, Will told me he did not know and maybe we did not drive it enough, which seemed ridiculous. He then told me I had 30 days to either use the $500 or lose it. I told him I really did not see any option here since the car can not be driven. He however said I did, we could just walk away from it and that some people with 180,000 to 200,000 mile choose to walk away versus pay for an expensive repair bill. I told him our car with 24,500 miles versus 200,000 was a big difference. He said it was his job to relay this statement. We have had several Nissan vehicles and until now I have been very happy with them, however after this experience, we will be hard pressed to say a good word about Nissan and any responsibility towards the reliability towards their cars. This is a faulty mechanical equipment problem, not a time issue. Its obvious No one at Nissan Consumer Affairs cares but after this experience, I will never purchase another Nissan vehicle, nor will I probably ever use their Service Dept again. Extremely disappointed in Nissan!!!

Very reliable but has an occasional issue. I think that the Nissan performs well. There is an issue with the aux input. Plus there are times when the radio display goes blank when on. I thought that it would have better gas mileage as well. Overall Im very pleased.

I bought a 2006 Nissan Titan in 2009 with 45K miles on it. I loved the truck up until 80K miles (go figure, right when the warranty expires. Coincidence?). Just after 80K, I started having significant trouble with the front end of the vehicle shaking when I would come to a stop. I replaced the rotors and 3K miles later same problem. At 90K miles, I went to have my oil changed and tires rotated and found out I had both rear axle seals leaking very badly, a common problem amongst Titans ($600 to repair). Now, heres the big one. I started noticing a high pitched ticking sound from the exhaust. Come to find out, I had two cracked exhaust manifolds. This caused an inspection to fail, decreased horsepower, decreased fuel mileage and exhaust fumes to enter inside the cab of the truck! Cost to repair is $3,000. I did my research and it looks like everyone who owns an 04 - 07 Titan has the exact same problem. Nissan will not issue a recall for this problem and refuses to pay for the repair, even though I drive to work every day with headaches, dry eyes and nauseated from the carbon monoxide. They could care less. Funny thing is they changed the exhaust system in the 08 Titans so obviously they knew there was a problem, but still refused to fix it. Now, Im stuck with a truck that I cant get rid of because of the exhaust leak. Im trading the Titan in for a Tundra. Toyota takes care of their customers. They just wrote a check to my brother for over $9,000 because his 99 Tacoma had a rusted frame. This trucks blue book value was $5,500. I will never, I repeat, never buy another Nissan product and I will continue to bash them to everyone I know who is in the market for another vehicle. Nissans are a joke! Learn how to take care of your customers or you will pay for it in the long run! I seriously hope Nissan goes bankrupt. And with the customer service they have, its not a far stretch!

I learned there is a recall on my transmission that went out 3 months after I purchased the car. I called Nissan North America and they told me I could not get any assistance in getting my transmission fixed. They said because I had a salvage title and non Nissan parts on my car. That was a lie. Then they told me it was because I am out of the mile range. I have documentation when I was in mileage range of the replacement that there was nothing wrong but needed a flush. Went and got one and then they documented that it needed a new one.Their store told me call them. They should help me replace it. I called and they said Sorry you are over miles. Cant do anything? The worst possible customer service ever. I would never purchase another Nissan again. Horrible!!! Nissan is so great and backs their products up. Well I surely am not seen it. There are many complaints about this and theyre doing nothing. It should be illegal! I guess it is going to take someone getting seriously hurt or killed in one of these cars for them to want to do anything. Very disappointed in Nissan!!

Went to the local dealership twice for assistance in obtaining a nav update
Went to the local dealership twice for assistance in obtaining a nav update for my 2013 Pathfinder. Got bounced between the Head of Service and Parts multiple times and was finally told I guess you have to go online. Well after searching for about two hours I came across a Nissan page with a map update promising to be the latest and guaranteed to work on my vehicle. I placed that order. This was on a Friday morning. As I checked out and finalized the order I was redirected to none other than the main site for Nissan Nav updates that I had been searching for on the web for hours. Unfortunately, running my nav and vin showed that the order just placed was a three year old update. Finally found the correct update, ordered it and placed a call to customer service to cancel the first order. Sat on hold for an hour and got cut off. So I sent an email to customer service explaining the problem. No luck speaking to anyone Saturday when they stated they were open just another hour on hold, Monday evening sat on hold for an hour till someone picked up. Was helpful and said hed put me on hold for a few minutes and text instructions to return the first order on their dime when it arrived, and oh, by the way he said that one would NOT work in my vehicle. After about 3 minutes I got a fast busy, then a long squeal and then sat on hold in silence for another 45 minutes till I gave up. Now another email to customer service - their response was when it arrives call customer service - thanks but no thanks - Ive filed a complaint with Paypal which I used to pay the first order. Will try again tomorrow. I know for a FACT Toyota, Chevy, Ford, even Hyundai and Kia have customer service that is FAR superior to Nissan, this was the last thing I expected, God help me if I ever have a real problem. This will be my last Nissan. It is back to Toyota, Chevy or Ford for this man, Ive had them all, plus Hyundai and Kia all have better service and run just as good and have just as few, likely less problems and the body integrity on all of them is much better.

In March of 2012, I purchased a new 2012 Nissan Versa sedan. I paid cash for it. In September 2012, I struck a deer while driving. My insurance company and body shop determined just over $7,000 in damage, not totaling the car. Within two weeks, the body shop had completed all repairs except replacing the backseat, which had been ordered from Nissan shortly after the accident. The body shop and I have been in constant contact with Nissan trying to get an estimated date of arrival on the seat. Nissan has no information except that the seat has been ordered. It has now been almost 8 weeks that I have been without my vehicle. The insurance only covered the expense of a rental car for 30 days. I was told by Nissan to contact Consumer Affairs regarding this matter.

I attempted to make two payments to NMAC through my banks bill pay service.
I attempted to make two payments to NMAC through my banks bill pay service. The first time, I entered the account number from my statement by hand. The second time, I entered my account number through copy and paste from my statement on NMAC’s website. Both payments were returned for invalid account number. I contacted NMAC’s customer service to inquire and they could not explain why the ACH payments from my bank were returned. I then mailed a check to NMAC for my payment. I prefer to pay my payments in an electronic fashion so I dont have to worry about my check being lost in the mail or a delay with the postal system. I then signed up for recurring payments on NMAC; their only option is to pay once monthly. I prefer to pay specific amounts each check to reduce my interest costs to myself. I guess with Nissan, its their way or the highway. In addition, when I purchased my vehicle from Sheehy of Manassas, I was told my GAP insurance was free. When I reviewed my sales contract, the GAP insurance is included in the contract and the balance reflects my loan with NMAC. How is the GAP free if Im paying for it? The first contract on the vehicle was at 4.99% interest. I was called back and told I dont qualify for that rate. So if I purchase the Sheehy VIP care maintenance service and lockout service, then I can receive 2.09% but lose one of my rebates, which made my payments go up $3 per month. What kind of math classes did Nissan take in college?

My SUV was diagnosed with a manufacturing defective transmission and now has issues with the transmission cooler pipes splitting causing cross contamination between the radiator coolant & transmission fluid. Which resulted in a failure to the automatic transmission. The cross contamination had to have a new transmission, transmission cooler hoses & radiator replaced. I called Nissan Corp and they are refusing to take responsibility. I told them that they are putting families in a dangerous situation. I also explained to them when I purchased my vehicle they were well aware of the situation but concealed that information from me and I let them know that I was pregnant at the time with our 4th child and needed the 3rd row thats why we traded, so I did not appreciate that information being concealed from me and putting my children in a unsafe vehicle. Nissan has caused me to almost wreck 3 times. This has caused so much stress on me and my family. I have reached out to Nissan Corp several times with they refused to fix it or return it and give me my money back. And also I delivered my baby 10 days later after I purchased the Pathfinder and the Pathfinder had about 70,000 miles on it already so the transmission could had easily went out at any time since it had known problems that were concealed from me and caused a very dangerous situation for me and my baby because when I bought the vehicle they concealed the information knowing that it could happen at any time and refused to let me know even though my husband and I both asked if anything was wrong with the vehicle and they told us no they check the vehicles before they sell them by their mechanics. Something needs to be done before someone gets killed. My Pathfinder only has 123,000 miles on it.

I came in to speak with someone about the paint peeling off my car. My car is a 2003 Nissan Sentra. I was told my complaint was denied due to it being 7 years old. Roof and trunk are peeling off. Car is well maintained, waxed 2 times a year. I feel that Nissan should at least fix this problem. This is my first new car, and I am disgusted with the way it know looks. 2007 Nissan Titan, 4 months out of warranty, mileage is within warranty by 10K miles. Customer service advocate decided to deny assistance without ever learning the merits of our request. We are a family of Nissan owners. We currently own 3 Nissans and have had as many as 5 within the last ten years. Federal emissions warranty is for 8 years/80,000 miles. We purchased 02/27/2007, thus time element of warranty is out by four months. Cost of repair is over $2200 for the catalytic converter exhaust repair. Customer advocate advised that they were unwilling to assist because we hadnt visited the dealership for service. If they had bothered to call and discuss anything with us, they would realize we live over an hour away from the dealership and service visits by a retired individual that far away dont make economic sense. We ask for assistance and without any conversation with us, a decision was made. I cannot understand how this would ever be considered a customer service department when they chose not to communicate with their customer.

This vehicle has been the best model that we have ever purchased. It is a 2003 model, but we have never had to have any major work done. The dealership had a reputation of honesty. The vehicle had a good look and when we test drove it, it drove so smoothly. We took it on back roads to try how it handled on curves and small potholes. The only thing I dislike is that the passenger side seatbelt locks as soon as the vehicle starts, with much discomfort until I release it and put it back on.

Nissan has known their transmissions were faulty and yet did not make the consumers aware. When our transmission had to be replaced, their response was for us to join the class action lawsuit. We paid $3500 for the replacement to Nissan and they couldnt offer to pay at least half. Only offered us lip service. We are very good car owners and usually keep our cars a long time without major repairs. Never Nissan again. We are not unique, hence the reason of the class action suit.

I purchased a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder in September 2013. In the first months two rear seals went bad. Shortly after that, the left rear wheel bearing went out. A few months later, the two motors in the passenger door window (which never gets used) went bad. Then about a month ago my right rear wheel bearing went out. Two weeks ago there was a loud bang in the rear end and the left rear shock absorber broke. REALLY NISSAN??? I would be ashamed beyond belief to have a product of this poor quality and not stand behind it. Your free advertising started after the two seals went bad in the first months of ownership of this vehicle. Then, I read just recently that the Nissan Pathfinder is in the top 10 worst vehicles to purchase right now. My son in law was about to purchase a Nissan Armada, but that will not happen now. Never again Nissan. Poor quality product with big corporation not standing behind their product.

We went back the next morning to take the car back and to talk to the Mgr he said forget yesterday, I didn’t want to forget the day before cause I lost money. He said pick something else.
