Tesla FSD, Flawless Victory
We have a video from Chuck Cook in heavy traffic doing unprotected left hand turns across two sections of three lanes of traffic. This is an incredibly difficult turn, even for a human to do. Recent news of Tesla's acquisition of Lithium Corporation, a lithium mining company, turned out to be fake. It remains unknown who created it, but some of the miner's investors are the ones who really could benefit from it, as Lithium Corporation's stock price rose more than 250% in the [...]Teslas New Battery Pack Assembly Line Coming Together In Fremont
You can't produce electric cars without battery packs, and getting the cells and packs isn't necessarily easy across the industry. There's not enough mining or refining, and most cells and packs are produced by foreign companies, which isn't helpful for the new EV tax credit. We bought a 2021 Mercedes Sprinter RV and my one concern is that the cassis was Mercedes. About 8 months of owning this something is wrong with the turbo, dropped this off at Mercedes Melbourne FL after making an appointment 3 weeks out and this still has not been looked after 5 weeks now. Do your homework on service centers prior to buying, in Central FL there are only 3 service centers for sprinter. Go with a ford or Ram for an rv cassis they have hundreds of services centers!john of Blowing Rock, NC

I purchased a new 2017 Mercedes Benz Sprinter van and at approximately 5000 miles I started having transmission issues. I brought it to the dealer 3 times for the same issue. Every time they tried different things from updates to the control module, replacing the valve body to even swapping out the transmission control module all with no resolve. They even had a technical rep come out and after 3 weeks in the shop it’s still not working correctly. I’m convinced that their technicians are glorified part swappers and they have no clue what they're doing. This is my first experience with Mercedes Benz and it’s going to be my last because to date this issue has cost me over 25k in lost business from not having my van and Mercedes Benz could care less.George of Tyngsboro, MA

Has been very good with no repairs in 4 years. It is good on fuel for such averaging about 20 miles to imperial gallon in town and 32 hwy. We will see how reliable it is in the future as the warranty is over and instead of getting the further 3 year warranty I decided to take a chance and see how the repair history will be. So far only oil changes, brakes, and gas. None of which would be covered under warranty.Derek of Vancouver, British Columbia

The turbo of my B Class has failed for the second time in just more than a year. The clock is on 62,000 km. Both times, Mercedes has towed the car in but didn't even ask if I need a courtesy car. I have to travel 40 km to work and back. I had to collect my car myself in Pretoria, 100 km from where I stay. Mercedes gave me a reason why the turbo failed each time and each time their comment was that it never happened before with a B class. If that is the true, it means my car is a defected car and actually should be replaced. They only give the reasons and stopped at that. I'm not satisfied with just an answer from a company that is supposed to be one of the finest in the motor business. My husband bought me a Mercedes because it's one of the best, but my trust in my vehicle on the road is ruined and I am scared for the next time the turbo fails, the car lost power and had a lot of smoke coming from the exhaust. Fortunately, I was near the school where I'm teaching and could reach my destination. What if my car lets me down on a deserted road and I'm alone? I really want somebody to give me more than an excuse and with a practical solution to my problem.Heleen of Bela Bela, Other

This car is everything I ever thought. Reliable, dependable, smooth riding car, handles great on the freeway, strong engine load, great trunk space and beautiful sunroof. Beautiful body, great gas mileage and easier to handle grade on the road. Power windows, leather seats, heated seats season, 2 hand on the road, love to cruise control. Just love this luxury car. Will highly recommend it to others.Joyce of Philadelphia, PA

Living a relative short time with a 2001 E430 was a disaster. The troubles started at only 4,000 miles. Massive electrical issues such as A/C, window, seats, Bose stereo, instrument cluster digits going blank, numerous check engine lights, ABS failure, traction control failure, speed sensor failure and constant Hella headlight issues. Despite repairs made under warranty, I found myself at the dealer at least once a month. There were more than several mechanical issues as well such as engine mounts, V8 running on 4 cylinders only, and many many more. I sold the car at a loss, but I am very glad I did. If you pay $70,000 or less or more, you should expect quality. Mercedes Benz obviously isn't concerned about quality. Motor Werks dealer in Chicago is careless. This was my third nightmare with a Mercedes-Benz product, and the very LAST. I have gone onto Lexus with absolutely ZERO quality and reliability issues-ZERO. Lexus' customer service is impressive.Fred of Streamwood, IL

I currently own a 2006 SL500 with 41k miles on it. The vehicle is very well taken care of and barely looks used. I took the vehicle to the dealership and the valve body needs to be replaced at $2000.00. The bad thing is the part is not even at the dealership - it has to be ordered from Germany. I called the dealership to see if they would be willing to cover the repair even though it is out of warranty and they say call MBUSA. I called MBUSA and I got the response that we need to call the dealership and speak to them. She then proceeded to tell me that I was not a loyal customer and that they may not cover the repair of the vehicle. I said what do you consider a loyal customer, someone who has bought 3 Mercedes Benzes and is a member of the Mercedes Club or is it someone that does not own a Mercedes? The point is Mercedes Benz is not loyal to their customers and treat them rudely when it comes to getting things done. I probably will not buy another Mercedes.Raymond of Grapevine , TX

The finance rep called me on a vehicle that I no longer had to tell me that I owed state property tax on it for 2020. The amount was almost 8x what I ever paid one year that I had it which was crazy. I had the lease vehicle only 4 days in the year, 2020, that I turned it in then she said they would prorate it. The new cost was slightly higher than what I paid for one of the previous years. Of course during the call I was getting mad since the rep was obviously lying or incompetent. I pulled out all the previous year’s payments (2019, 2018) and receipts after I hung up on her then called back hoping to get another rep. I didn’t realize it was her and she didn’t realize it was me. I told her the brief situation about the taxes and cost in which she also said it didn’t sound right then she pulled up my account. She then realized I was the person she spoke to earlier and of course it was correct then. They sent me the tax bill saying it was late. What? It was late because the rep called to verify my address to send me the bill. My address hasn’t changed in over 20 years and they never had any issues sending me anything prior. Since you are no longer financing from them the service went down hill. I couldn’t trade that GS in since no one wanted it. Dealerships were willing to pay off my lease rather than take it. Poor customer service in finance department is all I can say.Amber of Austin, TX

This is an update. I called Fletcher Jones Mercedes Newport Beach today, January 17, 2012, because our 2011 E350 car stereo still does not work properly after having it in for an extended diagnostic evaluation from January 10, 2012 to January 14, 2012. They did finally watched and listened to the 5 YouTube videos that we filmed documenting the problem with the factory installed stereo. However, the service department is again denying that there is anything wrong with the stereo in our car.It was the second visit to Fletcher Jones for the same problem in two months and the sixth total visit in 8 months to a Mercedes dealership attempting to get warranty repair on the stereo speaker wiring. At one point today, we were hopeful that maybe the Fletcher Jones service department would actually do something about our issue when one of the Fletcher Jones employees, who had seen the videos, stated to us that she agrees that the audio is certainly clear enough to be able to hear the speakers are cutting in and out. However, it sounds as if her understanding of Mercedes corporate policy is that the Mercedes service technicians have to hear it themselves live in person as it is happening for Mercedes HQ to accept it as proof and allow the warranty repair. Our 5 videos are audio and visual proof. However, the service technicians continue to deny being able to hear the problem despite having our car at Mercedes dealers six times for the exactly the same problem that they say does not exist.Mercedes Benz warranties don't seem to be worth the paper they are printed on and it appears as if Fletcher Jones Mercedes Newport Beach only cares about selling more new cars. They are not at all concerned about service department issues.Clark of Huntington Beach, CA

My Mercedes S430 2005, has been repeatedly stalling. Had my mechanic put tester on it and showed crank shaft position sensor. Bought the first sensor from NAPA which was a different color from the original. Don't know if that makes a difference. Car continue to do the same thing. Bought second sensor from AutoZone same color but displayed same issue. I'm in the process of taking it to dealership. Very unhappy and don't have money to blow.Darryl of Bartlett, TN
