2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Class EV

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Class EV marks a major evolution for the iconic G-Wagen, bringing full electrification to one of the most recognizable off-road vehicles in the world. Mercedes retains the classic boxy silhouette and rugged capabilities while introducing advanced electric powertrain technology and modern refinements inside and out.

The exterior of the 2025 G-Class EV maintains the same commanding, upright proportions that have defined the G-Wagen for decades. However, subtle changes signal its electric nature, including a more aerodynamic front fascia, optional closed-off grille design with illuminated elements, and refined LED lighting signatures. The squared body panels, exposed hinges, and prominent spare tire at the rear remain, preserving the vehicle’s unmistakable military-inspired aesthetic. Aerodynamic tweaks such as smoother wheel designs and underbody sealing help improve range efficiency without compromising the G-Class’s rugged stance.

Underneath, Mercedes engineers developed a specialized ladder-frame architecture adapted for electric propulsion. Unlike most EVs using a unibody setup, the G-Class EV keeps its traditional frame to maintain the model’s off-road durability and body rigidity. The battery pack is integrated within the frame for protection and weight balance, while four individual electric motors—one at each wheel—provide precise power delivery and independent control. This configuration allows for exceptional traction and control in challenging terrain, enabling features such as “G-Turn,” which lets the SUV rotate on its axis by spinning the wheels in opposite directions for tight off-road maneuvers.

Performance is expected to rival or exceed that of the gasoline-powered G550. Early estimates suggest the electric G-Class will produce over 580 horsepower and instant torque across all four wheels, resulting in brisk acceleration even with its substantial weight. The electric drivetrain delivers near-silent operation, a stark contrast to the traditional rumble of the AMG V8 models, though Mercedes has reportedly designed sound profiles that emulate mechanical feedback for drivers who prefer an auditory connection to the experience.

Range estimates for the 2025 G-Class EV are projected around 300 miles on a full charge, depending on configuration and wheel size. Fast-charging capability allows the battery to recover a significant portion of range in roughly 30 minutes using a high-speed DC charger. Mercedes also focused heavily on thermal management and protection systems to ensure consistent performance in extreme weather and rough terrain—crucial for a vehicle bearing the G-Class name.

The interior design reflects Mercedes’ latest luxury philosophy, blending high-end materials with cutting-edge technology. The cabin features a dual-screen setup incorporating a fully digital driver display and central infotainment system running the latest MBUX interface. Premium leather, metal accents, and ambient lighting create a refined atmosphere, while the upright seating position and expansive glass area maintain the commanding visibility the G-Wagen is known for. Practical touches such as durable floor materials and robust switchgear acknowledge the vehicle’s off-road heritage.

Comfort and connectivity are key themes, with features like adaptive air suspension, customizable driving modes, and a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems enhancing both on-road and off-road travel. Optional luxury upgrades include massaging seats, Burmester 3D surround sound, and customizable digital displays that allow drivers to monitor real-time off-road metrics such as torque vectoring, wheel articulation, and incline angles.

From a sustainability perspective, Mercedes emphasizes that the G-Class EV contributes to the brand’s broader goal of achieving a fully electric lineup in the coming decade. Materials used in its construction include recycled aluminum and interior components sourced from sustainable suppliers. Despite this eco-conscious approach, the vehicle does not sacrifice the tank-like build quality or capability that made the G-Class a status symbol and off-road legend.

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Class EV represents a rare convergence of tradition and innovation. It respects its iconic roots while adopting the latest electric technology, ensuring the G-Wagen remains relevant in a world moving toward zero emissions. The combination of classic design, electric power, and genuine off-road functionality positions it as one of the most anticipated electric luxury SUVs on the market. Pricing is expected to start in the upper six-figure range, aligning with its premium status and engineering sophistication.

Purchased a 2010 E550 Mercedes in August 2018. I have been having issues with an odor inside of the car and the air suspension going out when the car is sitting. Mercedes told me to contact the dealership for a diagnosis, which is $195. And to ask them to help me cover the costs. If the dealership does not - to contact Mercedes back. The car only has 85,000 miles on it.

I have been driving cars for 20 years now and this has been the worst experience ever. I owned Fords, Fiat, Honda and all these cars were decently reliable. I bought a new GLC 300 2020 in Jan 2020 and two weeks later the car started with weird behaviors; it was suddenly off or the battery was completely drained; the driving experience was good. Then 500 miles into the car and it got suddenly broken. The car wont even start so I had to towed it into the dealership. Now they have found some core issues with the electronics of the car and will take them weeks to get it fixed. Make yourself a favor and stay away from this brand.

With under 40,000 at the initial start of the check engine light coming on which no one else besides MB has ever serviced, I had to get the balance shaft replaced in the motor at my total expense. From reading reviews and information from this page and other pages they said it was best to take the car back to the dealer for this type of job. I tried other Mercedes dealerships in Cleveland: North Olmsted gave me a phone estimate of $10,000, Mercedes-Benz of Willoughby Leikin said they were too small to handle such a big job so I ended up taking the car back to Mercedes Benz of Bedford where I originally purchase it for a mere$7,036.51. I associate this cost with me being **, female, prior neg. post and phone calls. This was the worse purchase I have ever made in my life and I would NEVER buy another Mercedes. They do not stand behind their merchandise. I think they tossed a coin to see who was going to service me (after corporate calls, because Bedford where I originally purchased the car new, never called me back). My conclusion: once the car is out of warranty they really dont want your business, unless its to trade the car in on a new one and they resell your old one for a mint. I know people are in business to make money but when your product falls short of what it claims to be I feel you are obligated to provide some type of relief. Word of mouth is the best advertisement you can get. When the words of many mouths is a negative experience in the end you lose. By the way Mercedes USA was a waste of my time. They did absolutely nothing.

Since I had received my car Class B-150 in 2008. I am suffering from it because of many problems. Brakes: Its not up to the expected when needed (very weak). Makkar Agency has been informed of this problem and they made necessary maintenance (as assumed by them) till the expiry of the guarantee period. Then they asked for a complete adjustment for the whole brake system!!! After this incident, I moved to Katameya Maintenance Center. During 2011 another problem has been appeared which is vibration and weird voices in the motor. They defined the disrepair as a problem in the Belt Tensioner and they changed it in September 2011. The problem continued and they ignored our many complaints about it till the guarantee period of the Belt Tensioner has been expired. In April 2014, the problem has been aggravated and the car became slow and the vibrations are increased where I suspected the gear box oil. Car has been sent to the Mercedes Maintenance at Fom El Khalig and they reported that gear box oil is not the problem and it is in good condition and they have to change Belt Tensioner again (already has been changed when the car was reading 30,800 km). Three days after receiving the car, same problem appeared again. I re-sent it again to the same Maintenance Center (Fom al Khalig) where they reported that the car needs to change the main Control Board of the Gear Box!!! You will not believe that the car is reading now 47,011 km which is very weird and strange for Mercedes Benz with their GREAT HISTORY. From the above, Im not satisfied at all with the car regarding all many disrepairs which affected my job and I consider the above as waste of time and money. When I chose to buy Mercedes I chose Name, Reputation, Strength and durability. I work as Engineering Director at and Engineering Consultancy Company for Petroleum Companies (as Business Card attached) and Im sure that Mercedes Benz, with their large reputation in Egypt and Middle East and Internationally, cannot accept these many disrepairs for a car 47,000 km. I really was going to buy the new CLA but now after all these happenings, I will not and will not recommend Mercedes for any of my acquaintances. I expect free change of this spare part and rechecking of the many frequent breakdowns of the car. Appreciating your understanding and your time. N.B. my car is in Mercedes Agency at Fom Al Khalig since Saturday 3rd of May and no answer till now.

Ive never had a worse telemarketing experience in my *life*. I received a letter from Mercedes mbrace saying my complimentary trial period for mbrace secure service would convert to a billed service (as Id expected) and I could call them to cancel that, so I did. After some of the usual Q&A, I told the guy to cancel it. He told me how great it is. I told him to cancel it. He told me how great it is again. After this went on a few more times I started saying just cancel it while he was still selling. He said I needed to hear why it was so great (not his words). This went on a few more times and I switched to say I want to speak to your manager. We went around with this a few more times while he continued to sell and I continued request his manager. Finally I told him one more time to cancel it and hung up.Then I called the number again, talked to a different agent, told him I wanted to talk to his supervisor regarding the other, rude agent. After a while a supervisor came on the line, sounded nice, but then told me I cant cancel the account until within 30 days before the trial period lapsed. The letter I received said nothing about this, and after a bit the guy said he could do it today (apparently a favor) -- but only after he tried to sell me some more! Of course he didnt phrase the sales pitch that way, he called it a reading a disclaimer. I tried a few more times to instruct him to cancel the service without effect, so hung up again. I don’t think I’m under any obligation to hear a sales pitch after I’ve given clear instructions – many times! This is not what we expected when we bought a Mercedes.

Has been very good with no repairs in 4 years. It is good on fuel for such averaging about 20 miles to imperial gallon in town and 32 hwy. We will see how reliable it is in the future as the warranty is over and instead of getting the further 3 year warranty I decided to take a chance and see how the repair history will be. So far only oil changes, brakes, and gas. None of which would be covered under warranty.

I have owned Honda or Acura products for my entire life. I drive quite a lot but thought I would try something different this time. I really loved the look and feel of the CLA 250 and thought I would test drive it. I was hooked. I bought the car on the spot. Great sales and finance support. No issues there. However, after about 8000 miles, the car started to have issues with the brakes, electrical system and front end, which I am sorry to say, I was forced to document meticulously, wasting numerous hours. To make a long story short, I was treated so poorly it was staggering. And by a Mercedes dealership, which I really didnt expect. I have owned the car for a little over a year; it has been in the shop about two months out of that time and still is not driving correctly. The service manager and general manager are not only unhelpful, but downright rude. Stay away from these guys.

Ive just purchased a 2012 ML350. Though the ride and the overall quality of the vehicle is nice, the door lock on the passenger door came defective. Weve had to wait over a week to get the part to fix the problem, but the auto-lock function does not work. A company like MB cant even get a simple thing like the door lock. Its going to be serviced again, which my car will be in service more days then driven. This ruins the new car buying experience. I bought the car through Dez at Long Beach MB. I had the service done at House of Imports in Buena Park, CA. Not only I had to wait over ten days for the part to arrive, when it arrived some parts were missing, so I had to wait over the weekend and then some to get my car back. When everything is thought to be fixed, it wasnt. The consequence of this defective part and questionable workmanship is having the new car buying experience ruined and it ruined the image of MB. This is my third MB, and this is not something that happens to supposedly one of the most luxurious brands in the world. ML may not be their best car, but it may well be their most important vehicle this year. I cant understand how this could happen to a MB vehicle. Id understand if it was made in China like vehicles.

Do not buy a Mercedes!!! I’ve owned them since 1990, in the past I’ve really loved these cars. I got great service from them and was always treated like a king by the dealer and Mercedes Benz Corp. I have been dealing with an issue since Nov 2017 with my S-Class. The dealer can’t seem to fix the issue and MBUSA is protecting the dealer. I will never buy another Mercedes. There are so many premium brands out there. Why would you want to spend money for poor treatment.

2010 Mercedes gL 350 engine went into limp mode in 5/2012 with 37200 just 5 months after the 30000 mile servicing. They attempted to repair it in their shop while I drove their loaner but failed. The car would not even start after they were done. Mercedes customer retention negotiated a buyback but on the day of the transaction they changed the terms. I am still paying for a car today that doesnt run.

I was a loyal owner of Mercedes Benz (two cars in the past four years). My most recent purchase is the C350 Sport. It came down with a transmission breakdown last week, after three years and just 86,000 miles. I had the car towed to the Euromotors (Germantown, Maryland). I was told that I was to pay about $10,000 in repairs. I became a Mercedes Benz customer because of your craftsmanship and reputation. I never expected a power train issue so early in the life of such a great car. I love the car; I enjoy driving the car, and I expected to remain a loyal customer for a longtime. In fact, I was planning to trade my C350 for the new E350 Coupe next year. The dealership is not willing to do a courtesy repair on my car because my regular services had not been completed by them. I would like the Mercedes corporate office to intercede on my behalf, but when I contacted them (in not so many words), they told me that I was SOL (short on luck), and I was at the mercy of the dealer. I guess I made a big a mistake when I left BMW to become a Mercedes owner.

I have a huge issue with MB. I own a 2006 CLS 500. This was my dream car. I wanted this car so bad but when I bought it, it gave me nothing but problems. More than twice my brakes went completely out. I could not stop or slow my vehicle down, red light flashed on my dashboard saying stop reduce braking power. Do you know how scary that is to be driving on the freeway 65-70MPH & have a car cut you off & you cant stop or slow down because your breaks completely shut down, shut off. There was another couple times I was driving at 45-55mph on the street and Im coming up on a red light and I cant STOP my car at all, the breaks lock up. I feel so lucky me or my family riding in my car were not injured. Twice MB had to fix the recall SBC (Sensotronic Brake Control) on my car. Certain vehicles, the sensotronic brake control (SBC) system may prematurely shift to the hydraulic back-up function mode, due to deterioration of the wiring harness connection, or due to premature failure of the hydraulic pump.Twice they had to fix this problem. I dont feel safe in this car at all. But the icing on this cake is once I got my car out of the shop, I go to Costco & fill up my gas tank, come out from shopping and underneath the drivers side back, tire gas is leaking. Me & my family get in the car & it smells so bad of gas which isnt good for a toddler to breathe nor anyone to breathe in for that matter. So I take it right back to the dealership & they diagnosed the problem -- crack in my gas tank. So since Im catching on to all these car reviews online I do my research and come to find out that Im not the only one with this or these problems on my 2006 CLS 500. Mind you MB said the gas tank leak & replacement would cost me 3,000$ to fix. So Im doing my research and there is no recall, just complaint after complaint about this gas tank leak. MB insists if I dont fill up my gas tank all the way it wont leak. I couldnt afford 3,000$ for a problem I knew MB was responsible for. So Ive been driving around for 1yr & a half with a cracked gas tank.Dec 2015 Ive exhausted all my options. Now I cant register my car, the check engine light is on because of the crack in the gas tank. So I was recently doing more research and finally MB extended the warranty & is going to cover the gas tank problem after letting me drive around with a cracked gas tank for 1yr and a half -- doesnt sound very safe and reliable. Mercedes-Benz slogan is The Best or Nothing. I havent gotten the best customer service. Roadside is picking my car up today 12-8-15 & MB of Scottsdale AZ informed me since the gas tank is on back order 1-6 weeks and they can NOT give me a loaner car. But they are going to keep my car for 1-6 weeks till the part comes in & the service rep. informed me there is 13 people ahead of me waiting on gas tanks so really who knows how long this will take. I called customer service, they were of NO help. I called them a few more times explaining to them I will NOT have a car. How will I get to work?! They said borrow a friend or family members car (I live in AZ with no family here unfortunately). But how could this be my problem? MB service rep also suggested I can still drive my car till the gas tank comes in. But I explained Ive already used my extended registration from the MVD and I cant register my car without getting a smog and I wont pass smog because check engine light is on because of the Gas Tank Leak... MB customer service wont do anything to help. I asked them what would they suggest and they stay quiet!!! I NEED ANSWERS!! I cant afford to rent a car till when?! 1-6weeks?! They cant even give me a date it will be down, everything is just up in the air & Im ** out of luck.. I am NOT ok with the way Ive been treated dealing with MB. I thought it was The Best or Nothing. My problem still isnt solved. MB roadside is on their way to pick up my car & I still have no transportation. But my car needs to be at the shop so they can order the part. This is so ridiculous and absurd!!

2012 ML350 blue tech 38000 miles. Clicking noise sounding like a valve tap (non-mechanical description) but traced to the high pressure fuel pump. Selling dealer replaced the pump, noise disappeared for a month or so and has returned again. On visit to other than selling dealer, shop foreman listened to the vehicle and said he hears this noise all the time and dismissed it as a common occurrence. Find it rather surprising the MB hasnt come up for a fix for this very annoying noise. Any other solutions out there?

First off, Ive always been an advocate for Mercedes Benz having owned 2015 c class, but I have to say Im utterly disappointed with the recent service by Benz hence the 2 star which should be a 1. Im currently driving a 2019 A220 sedan which if it drives normally, is an absolute breeze. Unfortunately, Ive not had that pleasure of driving without a problem. From inherent breakdowns, to various warning lights turning on. There was a recent recall for this vehicle, mind you, but after the recall I’ve had countless visits to the MB repair shop, Im still having the same issues. My mileage is just 16,000. I am truly sad right now and feel let down by MB. I would surely reconsider my commitment to your brand.

On a recent road trip the check engine light lit up on my 2010 GLK 350. When I took the vehicle local dealer where they performed a quick test to reveal what they termed as a camshaft stretched timing chain. I had heard previously that Mercedes had been having this 350 engine problem with several models and years. I went online to discover that in fact that there have been numerous such problems with the 350 engine. My local dealer wants $2,600.00 to pull the engine and repair. Yes, the vehicle is out of warranty, but it seems to me that Mercedes knew well before the 2010 models were produced that they were having complaints about the 350 camshaft adjuster problem.

The bumper of my new 2017 E Class fell off after barely touching a parking bumper like you find in many parking lots. The bumper does not even have a scratch on it. The dealer says that this is common and they fall off all the time!!? Mercedes Corporate will only definitely understand how I feel. How can a force small enough to not even scratch the paint on a bumper make the bumper fall off?! I purchased my Mercedes SLK 350 new in 2005. The car currently has 49,000 miles on it. Within the last month while driving, my transmission has gone into neutral causing the car to lose forward motion and not allowing me to regain drive. This occurred on the freeway at 65mph, in traffic on a major boulevard and most recently on a one lane, steep downhill grade in Malibu Canyon. Each time I had to coast off the highway, turn off the motor and wait. Then I would restart the car and it would become drivable again. After the last incident, I took it to Silver Star Mercedes in Thousand Oaks where I have my SLK350 serviced and where I purchased it new in 2005 as a retirement gift to myself. After performing tests, they said it was a defective speed sensor and would cost $2,500 to replace. Even though the car only had 49,000 miles on it, they wouldnt repair it under warranty as the 5 year (50,000 mile) factory warranty had expired. Before authorizing the repair, I researched NHTSA to find out if there had been other reports of the same problem. While there are some reports of this on my model, there have been numerous problems with other Mercedes models speed sensors that have been repaired for Mercedes owners as a safety issue. Some of those repairs were directed by the NHTSA.Considering that the issue seems to be safety related and my Mercedes only had 49,000, well-maintained miles on it, I asked my service rep if he would mind contacting Mercedes about this issue and see if they would repair it or at the least, share in the cost of the sensor repair. Two days later, the dealer contacted me and said Mercedes wasnt interested. I am surprised and disappointed in Mercedes for their seeming lack of interest and Silver Star for not offering a cost adjustment in the absence of Mercedes not reaching out. It is my understanding that Mercedes has become more proactive in safety related issues and gives their dealers more flexibility in situations similar to mine. I have a genuine concern for my familys safety and the safety of other Mercedes owners and their families.

I am having a dispute with my dealers service. I had my r350 towed on a flat bed by a contracted towing service provided by Mercedes-Benz roadside assistance due to a flat tire that had recently been plugged. Luckily, the car was been driven in town at a slow speed and not at highway speeds with my children in the car!Extensive damage was caused to the under carriage and to the BlueTEC line because of this tow. I havent been with my vehicle or even an offer of a loaner vehicle, since Aug 31, 2011. Neither the dealer nor the towing company are taking any responsibility for the damage. I have finally directed the dealer to just repair the bare minimum so the vehicle may be driven. This experience has tainted my trust in Mercedes-Benz. I have every intention of disposing of both my wifes r350 BlueTEC as well as my E63 AMG. These two vehicles are my 5th and 6th purchases of Mercedes-Benz products. You can rest assured that they will be my last. If your are interested in salvaging a once loyal customer, I would be happy to discuss the details further.

Long story short, he did nothing but lose a customer for life. And now for peace of mind for me and wife, we are probably going to be spending another 3 to 4 grand on an extended warranty because we are concerned that we have purchased a lemon. I sure wish I would have read all the reviews before purchasing a MB.

I thought I was buying my pride and joy - a Mercedes GL350 Bluetec - from the Mercedes-Benz Melbourne showroom. I was dealing with a very charismatic sales agent who promised me free service for first 3 years and that this would be put in as a part of the deal. This promising agent left the dealership and I was palmed off to someone else who, apparently, was pretty green and almost botched up the documents to be sent to my bank on time. I managed to salvage that situation with the bank. Then again I was palmed off to someone else and eventually got my vehicle after a 4 month waiting period. And I never got my free service as it was missed by the dealership due to change of sales agent handling my deal and purely due to the unprofessional set up of the dealership customer service. What is the most disappointing part is the pure lack of service. Nobody from Mercedes was bothered to follow-up with me after the sale of a new vehicle ($150K) whether it was doing OK or if I had any issues. There was no correspondence from the dealership leading up to the service, not even a call, to inform and plan for a service. Guys - there is nothing wrong with the product. But I think its the brand name selling itself, not the M-B dealership in Melbourne. Its the worst I have ever seen, comparing with Mitsi and Toyota. Toyota are the benchmark as far as customer service is concerned and they cost fraction of the price for the vehicle and are a top drawer engineered too. Go anywhere BUT this Melbourne dealership. They suck.

I purchased a Mercedes 500 SL from Mercedes dealer in Wisconsin. The car was shipped to me to Houston, Texas. It was 2006, the car was still under factory warranty. The first month I bought it, the transmission went out so I took it to Green Bay Mercedes dealer. They put a brand new transmission. 2 years later, I shipped to Jordan, Amman. The transmission went out again, so I took it to a Mercedes dealer in Amman. I had to pay this time, $4700 to rebuild the new transmission. I am so disappointed with Mercedes Benz now. I feel like I just bought a lemon.

It’s always in service at the Benz dealer. They say there’s nothing wrong with but when drive it you could feel my seat trembling bad. They say they keep changing parts but at this point I don’t believe them. I feel they just juicing the warranty I got because nothing has change. I hope you guys could help me. We had a 2012 GL450 which we loved. It drove like a dream and convinced us Mercedes would be our choice from that time on. The navi system and controls were the only negative issues. So with that in mind, we upgraded to a 2015 the next year. Totally different car. The headrests are a nightmare. They are big and chunky, and the second row rests bob continually. You have to use pressure to lean back, and it drives passengers insane. You cant leave the rests down with passengers because it is a hard rock in your back if you do. I could go on and on about these. They cant be removed and when we asked the dealer if we had a lemon, he said he checked, and some do it and some dont. So no satisfaction in that.Another change is the seat controls are up higher on the door and not down on the lower part of the seat. This is inconvenient to me. Hard to explain but you tend to look at it when adjusting rather than feeling and keeping your focus on driving. Also, there is restricted movement with the wheel. In the 2012, when you adjusted your seat you could then adjust the wheel to any position, ie up/down/in/out. Not so with this one. Depending on the position it will not give full range. So I cant customize it to fit my comfort. The 2015 does handle well and the navi system is better, but still is not equal to some of the other car companies. But the insane headrests are the deal breaker. We are ready to trade/sell and find another company other than Mercedes.

My 2006 Mercedes E-Class diesel has 156,000 miles on it; still gets 32-36 MPG on the highway when driving 68-74 MPH. Oil changes have been at 7,500 miles and it barely burns 1 qt. in 7500 miles. Weve had only one problem, and that was with a power window motor just past the 4 year warranty period. The technology is obviously old, but the navigation still works as new. No Bluetooth originally, so we added a portable unit that works OK, but not like the new stuff does. If/when this car ever dies, well look for the last year that MD made a diesel and buy one of those.

I have purchased about less than a year ago an E350 MB car, brand new from the local dealer in Windsor ON. I started to have water condensation in the right side head lamp. I took the car for its yearly service and advised the dealership of this problem. I showed them the water inside the lamp. There is no damage to the cover, which indicates clearly a break in the seal. Initially I received a response that this problem is not covered by the warranty as it is considered a wear and tear (after less than a year in a part that is not involved in any mechanical movement), then I was told that the problem is so small, it doesnt warrant repair!! Then I was asked to take photos and send them to the dealership and they will send them to MB Canada to convince them that the problem exist!! I found all these excuses outrageous. I am very dissatisfied. After all I am supposedly buying a luxury car, to have such a problem is not acceptable let alone being denied the repair and given lousy excuses.

In November of 2018 I purchased a 2016 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 from Mercedes Music City in Nashville, Tenn. It had 20,000 miles and several months left on the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. I live in Gainesville, Ga so flew there and drove it home. After driving it for 700 miles the check engine light came on and took it to RBM Mercedes of Roswell, GA. They found a few particles of something that was never identified residue in the fuel tank. I also found out the prior owner had check engine light issues also. RBM and Mercedes corporate determined it must be something I put in there and it contaminated the whole fuel system and now it needed $15,000 worth of repairs (whole fuel system needed replacement). I had driven it 700 miles and put 2 tanks of fuel in it. They refused to fix it. I did a lot of research on the internet. They charged me over $1,000 for cleaning out the tank and fuel lines and I left. I took it to an independent Diesel mechanic who tested the injector pump and said it wasnt putting out enough pressure. He replace it and the lift pump in the tank. Cost for repair was $2700. Pump was a warranty item. There was nothing in the old pump. It was just defective. Dealer and Mercedes misdiagnosed the problem and will not pay the repair. They insist they were right. The woman I spoke to at Mercedes was arrogant and didnt give a crap what I had to say or what I could prove. If you’re thinking of buying a Mercedes- dont. Buy a different Vehicle. This will be my last Mercedes.

Bought a 100k 2018 AMG E43. Wonderful car with a digital dash. Not one issue with the vehicle. Always have driven Mercedes...but...MBrace is absolutely the worst app ever designed, second only to Mbrace customer service which is even worse. The Mercedes Me app never works and just times out or tells me the sunroof is open when it’s closed. Customer service clowns just say, We are experiencing issues with the app, or, Delete and reload the app on your phone... Never anything helpful or useful. Calling them is a complete waste of time. $100k for a car that I cannot remote start. I love Mercedes but will consider BMW or Audi for my next car as the Mbrace experience is so darn maddening.

I have replaced 3 tires on my C350 in the past 2 years or so. A blow out at 100km/hr on the highway and 2 tires that have bulges on the inside of the tire that needed to be replaced. I am told by a local tire specialist Fountain tire that I need to replace both tires on the rear and having spend a small fortune I am not prepared to do that. I was advised with low profile tires and the winters in Alberta that this is something I need to get used to and keep paying for replacement every couple of years. I purchased my second Mercedes a 2013 GL450. In the less than year I have owned this, the check engine light has been a three-week issue to fix. Just after I passed the 50K on miles and just over the time of 4 years the check engine light came on again. $150 to diagnose. They required a compression test as the results was a cylinder losing compression. $400 to run compression test. After a few more days I receive a call that the #5 cylinder head is bad and will need replaced. Losing 60% compression, bleed off on idle. The cost for this repair was going to be $15,000.00. My question was what makes this happen to a car with only 53K miles on it? Manufacturer defect or a poor build job? No real answer other than it was going to be expensive due to the parts to replace, labor, machining that would need to be done and about 2 weeks to fix. Shy of an attorney at this point. I said this needs to be taken care of by Mercedes. Is this a common situation? If so then a new class action lawsuit needs to be filed. A few more days and Mercedes said they would split the cost with me. Now we are at $7500 if nothing else is wrong once they get into the engine. Still this should be on them for something this major with a car that has no more miles than this one has. $15K is 1/2 the price of the value of the car almost. Crazy. I have tried to get Mercedes to take care of this one. It should be on them for something this major with a low mileage engine issue. Still fighting trying to get this fixed. Any suggestions? I am open.

In July of 2011, I purchased a certified pre-owned Mercedes E350 with about 10,000 miles on it. Now, less than 3 months of owning this car, the air conditioning smells awful when I turn it on, I mean it literally smells like feces or sewage. I stopped by the Mercedes dealer today (8-October-2011) where I purchased it from only to be told that Mercedes is not warranting this problem. I was told he had 4 customers just this week reporting the exact same thing. It would be my responsibility to pay for what would be the amount of a temporary fix; replacing the cabin air-filter and spraying some Lysol-type disinfectant in the coil condensate box, costing around $180 to $200. This same scenario would need to be repeated at least yearly or more often. The service adviser himself even stated he did not agree with Mercedes not warranting this problem, and even stating that Mercedes does not believe it to be a problem. Well try driving my car with the A/C on with the smell that immediately begins to fill the car. It nearly makes you want to vomit so bad. My A/C is virtually unusable because of it. I have owned Mercedes cars since 2008 and not once have I had an issue, until now. And this is making me seriously contemplate selling the car (at a substantial loss because who wants to buy a car that smells like sewage) and buying something else. I had considered myself to be a lifelong Mercedes owner/driver, but if they refuse to stand by their product, then why should I remain loyal to them? It is an engineering and design defect that needs to be retrofitted and corrected. Come on Mercedes, do something about this, or I wont be the only Mercedes customer that youll lose to another manufacturer.

I had been a Mercedes Benz user for the past decade since Mercedes Benz began its operation in India. I had bought my first Benz E240 in April 2002 through Trans Cars India Pvt. Ltd. The vehicle is extraordinary and has served to my expectation. It is in a pristine condition until today. Satisfied with the vehicle and quality of service here at Chennai, I had bought another Benz in February 2007 (S350K) through Trans Cars India Pvt. Ltd. for about Rs. 82 Lakhs. It had no major or minor problems until December 2010. I had a minor problem with the front wiper controls in 07 Dec 2010. The wiper starts to behave in a funny fashion even when the vehicle is parked and locked. This posed a huge problem. Even after the service on December 2010, the wiper problem was not rectified. It was resent back to the shop on 06 Jan 2011 and subsequently for the same problem on 12 Jan, 30 May and 29 Jun. Still, even after this much attention and care, the problem exists and I was not offered a complete or even a remotely satisfactory answer for the problem. Even more, I was charged for the same unsolved problem by your people again and again.I had mailed you regarding the same but with no clear opinion except a mail for the same. Yesterday, I had to drive the vehicle as my chauffeur was absent. Unexpectedly, there was rain. The wiper did not function in spite of repeated attempts. I had to park the vehicle in the highway and could only start when the rain stopped after an hour. My question is, when my old vehicle is reliable and has no problem, why should an advance model have problem? Why am I not explained of the problems in spite of multiple inquiries and services at your authorized center? Why was the problem not rectified during the service of the vehicle? Why was there no satisfactory answers/replies about the problem from your people at Chennai? If you want more details of the receipt and fees, I shall be able to send it.This failure on the highways could have caused an accident. It is pathetic that a reputed and time-tested concern should deal with a problem in this unconcerned manner in spite of strictly adhering to schedule for maintenance. I hope that my problem will get attended here amicably.

My vacuum pump and hydraulic system on the trunk locking mechanism has failed. Cannot open trunk with any of the three methods of design. The Dealer laughed at me and said it would cost me over three thousand dollars to fix everything and that was a guess. No help at all other than they said I had to drill out the key hole with tumblers and try to manually open it that way. So I drilled out the mechanism on a car that cost over 120,000 thousand dollars to get into my trunk. Now the problem is the dealer would not code my key to a used lock and said I had to buy one from them at over 500 dollars and they would key that one to my lock. Then I would still have to pay to fix the vacuum pump and hydraulic pump to use my trunk. Frustrated due to the fact of price gouging and poor design from the engineers to make a trunk that is very difficult to open. I cannot lock my car or trunk because it has a smart key that is extremely difficult to use. I will never buy another Mercedes-Benz car again. I will also encourage everyone I know not to buy one.

I bought my second GLA here in Brazil at a dealership called Itatiaia. When I picked up the vehicle on 21/oct/15, just as I was outside driving by the first block I noticed a noise coming from the front suspension. I drove back to the dealership and informed to the same person that delivered the car to me. He said it was probably a kind of dust that would disappear soon. After some days the noise was still there and I took the car to be service at another dealership EuropaMotors - that is situated just outside my home. I left the vehicle there on 29/oct/15 with 144km and it was appointed that the front left shock absorber was broken. They ordered a new part that took 3 long days to arrive.I bought a new car that came broken from the dealer. It is not a cheap car and Mercedes sold a car that was not even safe to go to the road!! (This part is essential to the security of the driver and passengers). I am very mad. After almost one week they returned me the car with the problem fixes, they said. Yesterday, the same noise appeared again. And now it is even louder!! I cant believe this is a serious company. I complained to the dealership and to the Mercedes Benz in Brazil. Nothing has been done to really solve the problem. I am now entering with an official complaint to the authorities and I hope to hear from Mercedes with a solution. I dont want to buy an expensive car and receive a broken cheap car as they are proposing to me.

As a result I have spent several thousand dollars replacing the suspension despite the fact that I never go off-roading with this car and also drive carefully to avoid the delicate suspension breaking down. My previous complaints to Daimler as well as their Middle East dealer have had NO RESPONSE! That suggests that not only is the car bad but also the support offered by the vendor is non-existent. I own a Mercedes Benz SL 500 (TRS680 GP). Earlier this year, the car went into your workshops ten (10) times before they were able to repair the distronic sensor. At 30,000 km, the car went for a service. Within 50 km after the service, the suspension collapsed and there was a complete failure of the brakes. Fortunately I was able to avoid an accident. The car was towed in to Mercedes-Benz Sandton (corner Rivonia & South) on Monday July 18, 2011. This morning (July 29, 2011), I went and enquired what was happening and I was told the parts for the suspension were due on the 4th of August.Only after the suspension was repaired could they establish why there was a total brake failure. If more parts are required, then I guess there will be a further 3- 4 weeks of wait without my car.The customer service center will not return my calls. (Lance)In summary, straight after the car was serviced, a serious safety problem arose – namely, the suspension and total brake failure occurred. Previous experience showed that repairs, namely the distronic, are not reliable and excessively slow. Please explain to me why I should not notify the relevant authorities on the apparent inability of your group to maintain vehicles in a safe and roadworthy condition.Your reply without delay would be appreciated.

While driving on last left lane Hwy 427 North, close to 409, I was advised to turn left! 2. While driving already on Lakeshore Blvd, East of Browns Line, was asked to turn left to get to Lakeshore! I do believe, that brand new car has to have the newest, actual map data and while the errors are serious, the update should be free of charge, like with any mechanical parts on warranty. The GPS is not even close to GARMIN, where the functions are very logical and easy to use and mine model under $200 had lifetime update plus touch screen.

Listen, if you think you can win, spend the money and file your complaint with the courts and then send the outcome to the New York Times. They love to hear about the fights of the little people versus the big bears. Youll be amazed how quickly the office of Ralph **, VP of Customer Care at Mercedes Benz USA in Montvale, NJ call you back. If he doesnt, hire a big rat and put them in front of their office. Rotor/breaks were changed after the car failed to stop on the highway. The car (Mercedes 2015 C300 4matic) has 2k miles. The vehicle didnt display any warning messages or lights indicating something was wrong with the car. This is the second time car has been returned to dealer. How I got here? When car was returned the first time, February 2015, the car had about 700 miles. My complain: It doesnt feel right driving the car. The worse is when I drive down in the parking garage in a deep decline as I am turning right I hear the cracking/squeaking noise. Dealer repaired exhaust; it was not mounted correctly from the factory. Also, I was told the car is new and rotor needs to be used - give the car some time. After I picked up the car, by the end of February 2015, I called and informed the service department that exhaust was not the problem. Car has the same issues. I called and followed up with the service department in several occasions, texted and even e-mailed a video of the problem to show in real time that the cracking squeaking noise has not been fixed and I as explained back then, it is getting worse. It felt driving in the wrong shift. Dealer said they will get back to me, but never did despite the fact I called several time. Car was not used March-April 2015 due to personal reasons. Early June 2015, brakes failed as I am driving on the highway @50 miles/hour. I live and drive in the city, usually about 10-30 miles/hour (rush hours). After the rotor/brake repair, I asked if this issue had to do with my prior complaints. I was told that there is nothing in the file to suggest that the cracking/squeaking noise was not fixed the first time car was returned, nor shows any calls or correspondence with the service department. I was told that I didnt complain about the brakes. I am not a mechanic, nor I pretend to be, I said to dealer. When I complained about the car, I expected the dealer to identify the problem. I even took a video as I was driving so they can see and listen to cracking squeaking sound of the car.Although dealer has replaced brake and rotor, I have not heard a word about the cracking squeaking sound. Also sometimes when I reverse the car it dials somehow SOS call center. Yes, a new 2015 C300, 2k miles, several issues including major safety concerns ones. Anyone is experiencing this issues? I am a woman, and the reason I have only purchased new cars is so I dont have to worry about things I dont understand. Instead, I feel trapped and scared. I have contacted MB-USA. Looking forward to hearing from them.

The tire had a nail in it. A normal tire could have been repaired, however this tire had to be replaced at over $200 for a 17 tire with only 6000 miles on it. Imagine if I got stuck out in the desert going to California with no cell service and no cell service to call roadside service. At least if the cars come with run flat tires, all should come with a spare and a jack. Nothing at all is unacceptable and dangerous.

I bought a 20k mile C Class Mercedes from a main dealer in Brighton. Within 2 months of ownership, the brakes and discs all needed replacing. Mercedes UK claimed the parts were consumables and are therefore not covered under the warranty even though the car only had done 20k miles. The dealership finally replaced the fronts after 5 months of complaining but has refused to replace the rear. I also had issues over the alleged mileage on the car and the claimed servicing on the vehicle. Mercedes UK behaves like a back street dealer and refused to help. Jeremy ** claimed that Mercedes had improved their after sales, I strongly disagree.

While it is well known as STAR brand and top luxury, comparing MB product support (goodwill) is way bad compared to BMW and Audi. Audi provides up to 12 years power train goodwill. MB with an engine less than 100K with well maintained vehicle failed to offer reasonable consideration for their engine. Their Customer support offered me 1K sales incentive on new vehicle (I have a 86K value vehicle, 1K is 1.17% of the vehicle). Upon returning from being at Church all day Sunday February 16, 2020 730 am to 730pm. I parked the car in my garage, an hour or so later I realized I forgot something in the car. Hearing a crackling noise I began to look at the golf cart charger and the only other thing in my garage, the car. The rear window had completely shattered! it appears as though the sealant is missing from the upper left and right corners of the rear of the vehicle. MICHAEL G OF Mercedes tells me there is nothing they can do since there arent any open recalls. I have never seen such a thing! **

I purchased a new E-320, brand new, fully loaded. Hand washed from day one to this day. Driven only 14 miles/day! It has only 40k miles. I babied this vehicle and it is in mint condition. Looks like a museum piece! At around 30k miles the leather sit seams came apart! (???) Note that I have the massage package so you would expect a top quality leather. Dealer did me a favor and replaced it. Later I found out that MB *knew* about the upholsterys low quality they used. Now, at 40k miles the left side of the driver seat is peeling off!! Went to the dealer - horrible dealer btw - (MB of Nanuet RT 304 Nanuet, NY) and the service manager, without even looking at it said, Oh! Wear and tear not covered, sorry. Are you kidding me??? 40k miles? I weight 180 pounds, tall and slim. My neighbor has a BMW with over 80k miles, he weights probably 350 pounds and the seat look like new! Do yourself a favor. MB has the reputation but the quality parts they use - at least the leather - is horrible. Never ever again!! And also stay away form that horrible dealer. I plan to put a sign in my vehicle and drive around with a picture of the peeling leather and the name of the dealer who refuses to take care of it. That, based on the mint condition of the vehicle most likely will raise eyebrows. Shame on you Mercedes Benz!

I was driving on the highway, the car stopped accelerating and smoke went out of the back. The check engine light never came on. I was informed that it needs a new turbo and a water pump, $4700, and there “might” be engine damage. Both have been replaced and the check engine light is now on and the car has been in the shop for two weeks. The mechanic does not seem to know what’s going on or when I will get my car back. I had wonderful service whilst deciding whether to purchase an ML 250 BLUETEC AMG with premium pack model or replace my BMW with another BMW X5. I was contacted almost daily and looked after well with a good offer. I asked if the car had DAB radio (never expecting to be told that NO Mercedes cars come with DAB radio)! All cars have DAB radio, even basic starter cars!!! This was my main complaint all through my purchase, but was told I could connect my iPhone and listen to DAB. I was not overly happy but having liked the car and fancying a change from BMW purchased the car.My disappointment came when first using the car and finding that the equipment provided in the car was not compatible with my iPhone 6! I had to buy a converter!!!! Then, because of this the connection was not good and of course the connectivity keeps failing due to signal fall out!! I have never been so frustrated and nearly crashed the car fiddling with the equipment! I was unaware DAB was an optional extra AT 2,000!!!! Which I have since been told it will cost me. Customer service were not helpful, just telling me it was an option at purchase? I would happily exchange my Mercedes for a BMW given the chance. It has been a 6 weeks since I took delivery of the car and it looks like I will have to pay to have a conversation? Its a joke!!

As a first time lease owner of my fist Mercedes C-class this was a huge disappointment. Prepaid for 2 services at the beginning of the lease just to find out that they expire 2 years after and not by the end of the lease how they made me think. Was only less than a month after my expiration that I took car for service B and now on top of my already paid $500 I must pay again. This is beyond dishonest and most terrible customer treatment Ive ever encountered. Called the office and spoke to Juan who was only able to get a partial credit for the service I now have to pay for the second time. How would you like paying for service twice? Also, on the phone with Mercedes customer service I was blackmailed by Juan (phone number: **) not to write my honest review about this situation or they would take away even the partial credit they just gave me that only partially covers my second charge for the same service I already paid for when I signed up for the lease! It was so unprofessional and disgusting to be blackmailed to stay away from writing this honest review that made me even more compelled to do so because I want to warn all future unsuspected new customers of how they will be treated as well. I will not be buying my future vehicles from them and so is my family. I only want to give my business to places that truly appreciate their customers and with lots of great competitors out there it will be easy to do. You dont want to be tricked, lied to, especially as a first time customer into something that will screw you later and they wont even care about it. Everyone should know before becoming a customer of theirs that they treat their customers in the worst possible manner without any care and with great amount of unprofessionalism by blackmailing them to speak the truth. Did not expect this coming from this car maker of this magnitude but be warned and stay away.

Mercedes Benz refused to repair and I had to pay over R30000 for replacing it. At 150000 km the hydraulic pump collapsed. I had to pay R9000 for a replacement. One month later, it collapsed again!! They replaced it on guarantee. One month after, same problem with the pump happened again. They replaced it and said that if it happens again, it is my problem and they will not look at it again!! Now the car has 170000 km and it does not change gears. I have to stop the car in the middle of the road to switch the engine off to reset the computer and start it again. It happened a couple of times during the day. The central locking is not working either. The suspension is making a terrible noise when I go over bumps. This is the ** car I ever had!! I purchased a 2015 Mercedes GL-350 in May 2017 with less than 20K Miles on it. I was told that it was still have full factory warranty on it until 4 years or 40K miles. About 6 months after purchased the vehicle; We started to experience an intermittent problem with the rear view camera and 360 view cameras; once in a while when we put the car into reverse, the screen would continuously flipping between rear view and 360 view. I recorded the issue on camera and brought it to the dealer. The mechanic at the dealer looked at the video and drove the car around for 5 minutes then came back and said that he does not see the problem at the moment so there is nothing they can do. About 8 months before the warranty expired, we began to have another intermittent problem with the transmission, every couple of months, the reverse gear does not work. You can put the transmission into reverse, feel the gear engage but the car wont move; we can rev up the engine to 3000 rpm and the car wouldnt move. The only way to get out of that problem is to drive forward for about 1/4 miles, then after that the reverse gear work again until the next time. We brought the car to the dealer, they test drove the car and did not see the issue, so they again told us, there is nothing they can do. Kept having both of these problems every few months, so we recorded the problem with the transmission on video where the dashboard show the gear in reversed, engine rev up and the car did not move (can tell thru the windshield). We bought it to the dealer and show them the problem. They again drove the car around for a few minutes and came back to tell us that there is nothing they can do because the problem does not happen at that time. When the warranty about to expire on this vehicle, I called Mercedes USA (talked to Erik). He told me I should bring the vehicle back to the dealer if the problem comes back, but I will be responsible for all cost of diagnostic and any cost associated with fixing the transmission. I told him I have detail dealer record/video of the problem existed well before warranty expired and it is Mercedes that could not fix the problem. He kept repeating the warranty policy of 4 years/40K miles and owner responsible for all cost afterward, and that was how the call ended. We spent twice the money on this luxury brand and this is how they treated their customers. I will never purchase another Mercedes or any of their franchise brand and I will make sure I tell this story every chance I get.

Then the tires went bald at 5,000. Then the gym service manager Mark ** says the cars drivetrain can’t handle potholes and these types of problems are common with Mercedes Benz. Their insurance recommendation also refuses to cover this car. It’s been a nightmare as I also ran over the neighbors child as the car suddenly accelerated. Was told to leave the car running for 2 minutes before driving which obviously made no difference. The only excuse is they cannot replicate so they cannot help.Their insurance company says it makes no difference whether they can replicate the issue and should pull the unsafe vehicle from use. But instead they sent this email notifying me that they won’t help or resolve or even respond to the safety concerns “no guarantee that assistance will be provided.” Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is currently reviewing your request concerning the 2016 GLA250W4 bearing vehicle identification number **. We want to set a clear expectation that there is no guarantee that assistance will be provided. In Nov 2014 I notice the paint on my car was cloudy. I took it to the dealership and there was a recall. I have and do own other high end cars and have never had a bad experience with them as I have with Mercedes. The dealership offered me to trade it in on a 2015 after I already have around $36000 in this car that only has 16,000 miles on it. How in my right mind would I EVER BUY OR LEASE ANOTHER MERCEDES. I am writing this letter to state my displeasure with having to replace the front rotors on my 2011 Mercedes E350 Blutec with only 30,584 miles. This is our fifth Mercedes starting in 2007 with an E320, a C320, E320 CDI, CLK350 and the current E350 Blutec. Each car was driven about 15,000 miles per year by both drivers, averaging 70% highway, 30% local. We have never had any problem with brakes, rotors or anything in that area. Our current Mercedes E350 Blutec has the sport package. On September 12, 2012, we had the front right tire replaced because we hit a pot hole that ruptured the sidewall of the tire. The tire was replaced by Quirk Mercedes of Bangor Maine, mileage 26,375.A summary of the succeeded maintenance By Brumos Mercedes of Jacksonville, FL follows: Service on October 17, 2012, car mileage 29339, for regular Flex A Diesel special. Right rear tire found to be worn bald. We ended up putting 3 new tires on the car. Total bill is $1,156.45. Service on November 12, 2012, car mileage 30,584. Incoming customer complaint: Very noticeable heavy vibration appears at most highway speeds. Service checked balance on all tires. The 3 that Brumos replaced checked okay. The RF tire that was replaced on September 14, 2012 by Quirk Mercedes of Bangor Maine needed to be rebalanced. Post service comment: There is a brake vibration at highway speeds coming from the front rotors. A cost estimate to replace both front brake rotors (brakes pulsate when applied) of $535.90. Total bill is $24.88. We now have a time period when we did not drive the Mercedes very much. Service on March 8, 2013, mileage 31,569. Note from last service visit: We discovered a noticeable vibration that appears when the brakes are applied at 35MPH and higher speeds. Customer has felt the same condition in the steering and in the drivers seat. The tech stated it needed front rotors. Service note 31580 found front brake rotors with excessive rotor run out causing a vibration when braking. The tech then replaced the front rotors, front pads and new sensor. Road checked okay. Bill total is $556.16. Our service advisor, who we like very much, informed us that the run out or warping is most likely caused by overheated brakes that cool unevenly such as keeping the brakes applied in the same spot after stopping or running through water with hot brakes. Nowhere in the Mercedes manual is this discussed.I would think that the excellence of German engineering would design rotors that would stand up to these conditions. I hesitate to declare a design flaw, but perhaps the design margins have been compromised for some other consideration. In any event, I really do not want to face another rotor replacement in another 30,000 miles.

I bought a 2003 Mercedes E500 in early 2015. Thought I was getting a good deal on a used luxury car with less than a 100k miles. In less than a year I have spent a little over 3 thousand dollars in repairs. And that is going somewhere other than the actual dealership which would of cost me 3X as much! One of the main reasons I bought a Mercedes was because I thought they were supposed to be reliable cars. The only thing I have been able to rely on is that I will be in the shop every other month. On a positive note I took it in to the dealership for a fuel system problem that Mercedes were covering under an extended warranty and the service was great. They treated me very well, fed me and made me comfortable. And the car is a dream to drive when its working but I have a problem with the esp and some brake sensor now that is gonna cost me 2 grand bringing up the cost of repairs to near what I paid for the car in the first place in less than a year. There is no reason for anyone to buy a used Mercedes. The only people who can afford the repair costs of a Mercedes are the people who can afford a new Mercedes and if you can afford the repairs on a used Mercedes you should just buy a new Mercedes. Used Mercedes should just go straight to the junkyard so poor people like me dont get tricked into buying these money pits.

Ive owned 5 Mercedes over my car buying experience and I can tell you I will never buy another one. I have a ML 350 BlueTEC (diesel) that has known problems with the vehicle. I just found out on the oil leaking near the rear main seal. I called Mercedes to ask why in the world would a car with 57k miles have a problem like this when Mercedes brags about how great an engineered car they make. I have spent over a week on the problem the dealer fixed the supposed problem to break another problem. Now they want me to pay for what they broke. CROOKS WOULD BE THE WORD I WOULD USE. Ive had several Lexus and no problems. Mercedes does not stand by their name and overcharges for everything. The customer service people just lie to you, point blank. DONT BUY A MERCEDES, BUY A LEXUS. CROOK, CROOKS, AND CROOKS.

I recently bought Mercedes 2018 GLC SUV and really liked the car and upgraded the speakers to Burmester. Thought it would give me a good feel in the car with the music but I am totally disappointed with the audio system and I would rate 1 STAR for the speakers and 4 STAR for the car.

2017 Mercedes GLC300 GPS is horrible and dangerous. It tells you, Prepare to turn left/right, but doesnt say when, or what street, or what lane. It gives the street or off ramp 500. I advance only. So when I went into right lane & its a right turn only lane so I have to turn but thats not where I was to go! This happens constantly. When I was in HOV lane of freeway GPS said, Exit freeway, but cant from HOV lane. Also on freeway it says, Prepare to exit right, so I go into right lane but the correct lane was 3rd from right lane. THIS GPS WILL CAUSE ACCIDENTS!Additionally to input request you have to go through multiple steps. The MB service staff says its cumbersome & they dont use it on their cars. It also says some roads are not mapped. IF YOU BUY A MB GLC300, DONT PAY EXTRA FOR THE GPS. I now have a Garmin on my dash after spending 2-3K on the MB GPS. The wire is 00Pl Lo. Ugly & it partially blocks my vision but at least it gets me where I want to go safely.

BEWARE TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT GETTING A MERCEDES GLE! On November 30, 201
BEWARE TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT GETTING A MERCEDES GLE! On November 30, 2016, I leased a Mercedes GLE from Keyes Mercedes in Van Nuys, California. Only a month later, the coolant light came on. We fixed the issue. And then about two months later, two other error signs kept lighting up: (1) Inoperative, See Operators Manual and (2) Active Brake Assist, Functions Limited, See Operators Manual. I was very concerned because the accelerator felt odd when the error signs came on, and the car did not feel safe to drive. We brought the car in for service. The service department addressed the issue, and I received my car back. Since then, the error lights have come on again and again. At this point, my car has gone in FOUR TIMES to the service department to address these error signs that keep coming on! I soon will reach ONE MONTH of being in a loaner car.Keyes Mercedes Service Department has been great in trying to repair the car, but the car is a lemon and it doesnt look like it can be fixed. Mercedes headquarters has been absolutely terrible. Back in March, I reached out to Mercedes headquarters at 800 367 6372, and spoke to an Executive Referral Manager by the name of Kyla. She would not provide her last name. All she would say is it would take 4-6 weeks to determine what can be done, if anything. She would not escalate the situation further, and she would not put me in touch with the regional manager. When I tried to reach out to her when I kept having to bring the car back in for service, she did not respond. When I finally heard back, Kyla said there is nothing that could be done and, shortly afterwards, she relayed that she is changing roles. After several attempts to find a new contact at Mercedes headquarters, I received a call from someone named Brian today. He, too, would not provide his last name. All he could say is it would take another 4-6 weeks to determine what can be done, if anything! THIS IS LUDICROUS! Weve had the car for only 5 1/2 months. It is completely unreasonable for us to have experienced this many error signs. In fact, we should not have experienced any during this short time. What is more unreasonable is Mercedes headquarters will not do a thing about it. Ive never encountered such terrible customer service! I have a feeling that Ill be stuck in a loaner car for many months to come at this rate! It looks like MERCEDES GAVE ME A LEMON!

I recently leased a GLC 300 2020. From the first day of driving this vehicle a humming noise from the center console started up after approximately 20 minutes of driving. I was advised by my dealership to bring it in to the service dept as this is an issue. The service dept. told me that it is the new MBUX system that has been installed in these new GLC cars that gets too hot so a fan comes on to cool it down. They informed me that because the MBUX is so close to the engine that it gets hot quickly and that the fan has 3 speeds and automatically kicks in at the 3rd fan speech. Additionally, they told me this issue will only get worse in the summer and that everyone with this vehicle will be experiencing the same issue that as soon as they go into their cars this fan will start up right away due to the hot weather. Although the service department acknowledges that this is an issue for the consumer and that this box could be placed somewhere else in the car, I am told that at the moment there are no solutions and that Mercedes is saying this is normal. I contacted Mercedes Benz USA customer service where I spoke with a women named Kiara/Chiara and she was no help at all. In fact I had to chase her to down and call numerous times about this issue. She informed me that there was nothing that could be done on Mercedes Benz end and that the service department would have to provide me with any necessary documentation that I would need to take action. I was completely brushed off by customer service at MBUSA. This is a car company who does not stand by the vehicles that they are selling/leasing and will do nothing of any sort to resolve defective vehicles. Mercedes is supposed to be a Luxury vehicle but this vehicle is far from a luxury vehicle. The service dept. has informed me that others have come in with the same issue as me and from researching online I can see others are starting to report the same issue. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company as they will do nothing to fix defects and just claim its normal. A humming noise coming from the center console is far from normal.

E500 2005 40k miles. Routine check up as MB suggested! Problem: oil/fluid leaked on garage floor with a big spot (a lot of fluid). 4/19/2016 drop off the car for MB dealer service. 4/22/2016 they sent me a report about the leaking oil/fluid. Reason: The fluid leak appears to be coming from the transmission pan/13 electrical connector. The repair would be similar to a transmission service. Open transmission pan, replace filter, gasket, electrical connector and torque and clean area of leak. $758 VIP discount = $658 + tax.I called and emailed MB customer service to help about this situation. I believe they stand behind their products. They called me back to let me know that it is out of warranty even the car is 40k and take a good care. They can not do anything. I found out she never talked to the service dealer to find the issues of the car. Bad customer service, irresponsible! She needs to understand the issues before she talked to me but Nope! This really bad customer service and bad products too. I hope MB get this message and talk to her about how to solve the problem!!! My car is still at Fletcher Jones of Fremont 5760 Cushing Parkway, Fremont Ca 94538.

2009 SL550 37K miles. Close to $10K replacing pumps and parts for hydraulic suspension system within last 25 months. Known to have high rate of failure with MB. 2 weeks ago: Total brake failure at intersection. No warning, car hanging out on 40mph road. Alarms, car engine running but with no control. Could not depress brakes per message on dash hard enough to engage gears. Jumped on them and after several near miss t-bones was able to reverse but not stop reverse due to brake failure. Mercedes Benz SBC design flaw and I was lucky. Someone may not be so lucky someday. Will never drive that car or any other MB again. This is another dangerous and documented flaw. MB did not nothing but replace that part. I think I was supposed to be happy. Asked them for fair market value buy back for my car. I was given all the reasons I had no recourse from. They dont take where the car ended up with the brake failure into consideration to expired lemon law period. Better customer service for our Tahoe. More than disappointed.

I own a Mercedes C300 2015 and I have maintained my car with regular services as per Mercedes. All of a sudden my car starts shaking to the point is unsafe to drive on freeways. Somehow I took it to Mercedes Benz of San Jose and I was told that piston and connecting rod need to be replaced and gave me a quote of 11K and mentioned, We are not sure if problem is limited to piston, it can be the whole block but we can’t say until we tear apart your engine. This car is being serviced at the dealer and they never mentioned that early C300 have wrist pin issues in their engines and they have a service bulletin for the same. Mercedes denies to take responsibility for this issue. On top of that my AC smells like dead rat. Again my dealer never mentions anything about lawsuit against Benz. To all reading my post if your car AC smells like dirty sock/rat there is a lawsuit against MERCEDES and they will have to fix it. For all owners of C300 take your car to dealer and have them inspect your car for POTENTIAL PISTON FAILURES and have that written in your JOB SHEET for FUTURE. Mercedes has been the worst unreliable and they are lying regarding their known issues and then not taking any responsibility for inferior quality of their parts.

Our 2005 ML350 spontaneously caught fire recently and was completely destroyed. It was recently serviced and our insurance has opened a cause and effect investigation to rule out any service related fire. Thankfully no one was hurt, and no other cars or structures were damaged by the fire. We are stunned and angered. Hopefully they will find out the cause.

I just found out about an issue that I am having with my car. It is a 2007 ML 350. I had the check engine light researched today. The light has been on for about 4 years. It came back that I had a balance shaft issue. MB settled out of court with this issue. I have owned this car for 8 years. They had my address on file for all eight years and never sent me an message that I had a issue with my car. What a class company. I am trying to speak to a manager right now and have been on hold for over 35 mins. Clearly they believe in good customer support. Going forward based on the way I have been treated. Dont plan on buying any MB in the future and will be selling all of the MB that I own today which is 3. You learn about a company in tough time and MB failed the test.

Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of owning my first Mercedes Benz. That was one of the big purchases that I wanted complete, once I finished college. 3 years ago I accomplished that goal and it was an exciting moment. Unfortunately, the experience of owning a Mercedes Benz quickly faded away after 3 years. My 2010 C300 doesnt even have $75,000 miles on the car yet and I have had to complete 3 expensive repairs on the car. Those dont included the repairs that had to be done before my warranty expired. 4/19/16 - Steering Lock Replacement ($1130 cost for repair), 10/10/14 - Blower Motor Replacement ($616 cost for repair), 10/10/14 Driver seat MB-Tex Replacement ($580 cost for repair). The reason for the letter is to vent my disappointment in the Mercedes Benz quality for my first car. Your slogan is, Mercedes Benz, The Best or Nothing, but unfortunately my experience has not lived up to that.
