McLaren manufactures cars that owners have come to trust. Even a trustworthy autos require occasional maintenance or repair, however. If you’re in need of McLaren auto repair from experienced professionals, your local Auto Helper can help.

A Sputtering Engine
The engine runs best when air and fuel properly mix and burn in the combustion chamber. To efficiently complete this process, a series of fuel and ignition system components must work together. Though many moving parts help an engine run properly, engine sputtering or misfiring is one of the leading problems. To reduce engine misfiring or sputtering issues, make sure to replace fuel and ignition system components as recommended by your manufacturer.

Flat Tires
Flat tires happen when sharp objects puncture your tire, or your tires are tired from all the wear and tear of being driven over various terrains. They can also happen when tires lose air pressure due to continued use. To prevent flat tires, careful driving is always an idea. You also have to regularly check your tire’s air pressure, so it’s not over-or under-inflated, which can cause too much friction on your tires and rip its treads.

Dead Battery
Most car batteries should last about three years or 50,000 miles. A dead battery is usually caused by reduced amps – or electrical currents – which naturally decrease as the battery loses its ability to maintain a charge. A damaged alternator, battery temperature sensor, or other charging system components can expedite this issue. It’s best to replace your car battery every 50,000 miles or three years, even if it’s not showing signs of damage.

Radiator Leaks
If your air conditioning starts failing, and your car is leaving a trail of coolant on the street and driveway, then you have a radiator leak. A faulty radiator can mean that your engine will overheat and leave you stranded at the worst possible time. Just check all the connectors of your car to make sure that they’re in place. Replace immediately if there’s damage. Work out a coolant maintenance schedule by regularly flushing out coolant and replacing it.

Low Engine Oil Level
Low engine oil levels can cause your engine to underperform significantly. Something which is again caused due to delayed car service and aggressive driving. It is not at all healthy to make your car run at a low engine oil level as it causes severe wear and tear of many engine components. So in order to prevent any major damages to the engine, a timely engine oil top-up is a must.

Alternator Problems
The alternator keeps your battery in check and keeps it charged. If you have problems with your alternator, your car won’t be able to start or break down in the middle of the road. Signs of a failing alternator includes constant battery problem, unusual rattling from the engine, and electrical failure. The age might be one reason why your alternator is giving you problems, so keep track of how old is your alternator and have it replaced if it’s been in service for years. The signs above are what you need to look out for should you need to replace your alternator.

Broken Starter Motor
The starter motor is responsible for cranking your engine over, which begins the starting process. When this component fails, it’s usually because the electrical solenoid has been damaged, the starter motor breaks or another electrical fault occurs – like a starter relay, for example. While a starter can be replaced before it breaks, it’s difficult to predict when this will happen. It’s best to have a car-starting inspection to determine the problem before assuming it's the starter.

My partner and myself are car enthusiasts, and more specially supercar/high performance car enthusiasts. We have a 2020 Tesla Model S Dual Motor w/Ludicrous+ and we wanted to buy something with a more visceral/exhilarating feel to it (especially at higher speeds). As any other person in this market would do, we started renting super cars that we thought could be a promising prospect. We tried a Bentley Continental GT, Ferrari 488, Lamborghini Huracan , MB SLS and AMG GT, Audi R8, BMW i8, and McLaren 570 and 720s. The 720s blew our expectations of what a supercar should be, out of this world. It drives better than any other car, that we tried out, and then some. The interior in the luxury model is definitely superior to the other cars in the same market. The frunk is huge for a supercar, we fit the LEGO Disney castle box in it and it still had more to give! The infotainment system is also really good for a car at this level, though sometimes cuts out (though only probably 1 out of 100 drives). That is probably the only complaint that I have about the car, and even then, you just have to restart it and then everything is fine. The performance is above anything else we drove as well, besides the Model S 0-60, of course. But, beyond that, the McLaren puts it in the dust. We have driven this car at high speeds and it just wants to keep giving you more, even at 150+ mph, as if you were just going from 0. The car has suspension lift, which is amazing for driveways and speed bumps! Something that they don’t really show you, is how to really control this car and which options you should have active while driving (for instance, keeping the eco setting on during the winter when first starting the car to keep the engine heating and also driving in active mode for the best results). I highly recommend researching or asking plenty of questions if you are new to McLarens! The exterior, in my opinion, is so superior to any other car on the street. It’s very futuristic and has such beautiful curves to it. I’m constantly noticing admirers every time I drive, though it’s not as crazy as if I was in a Ferrari or Lamborghini (if you don’t want as much attention as those this is the car for you). This has become my ultimate favorite car and would highly recommend it to anyone who can afford to buy and maintain such a beautiful car! I definitely recommend buying used as these, sadly, don’t hold their value as well as the other options, partly because they are still quite a niche company. I highly recommend this car to anyone in the supercar market or anyone who has the opportunity to even just rent one.

The McLaren GT provided supercar thrills in a package that can be a daily driver. I have used the car to go to the grocery store, runs to the mall, and commuting to work. Minor things like is that it still is quite low but can get over most bumps and ramps okay and have to make sure long rear clears corners in parking lots. Finding a parking spot that you can be assured to get in and out with opening of dihedral doors takes more time and parking where you aren't at risk of a scrape or bump is always a worry. The rear compartment does get warm so can not keep anything there that is going to be temperature sensitive. A big head turner so often will stick out where ever you are out and about, which can be good or bad. I have gone on weekend rides with other McLarens like the 720s and it seems completely capable to stay on pace through curvy roads with it's brethren. Think of it as supercar with more convenient features that you can drive daily and not a GT like Bentley, Aston or Porsche (yawn).
