Listen To The Roar Of The V8-Powered Cadillac Escalade V

Cadillac has, in recent years, become a serious contender in the performance car sphere. Now far removed from the stodgy sedans and underpowered cruisers that saw the company's market share drop in the '80s and '90s, their V-Series vehicles can be mentioned in the same breath as BMW M cars and Mercedes-AMGs. The brand has never offered a full-fat performance version of the luxury Escalade SUV. For years, die-hard Cadillac fans have been begging for a ripsnorting Escalade, and Cadillac, ahead of going fully electric in 2030, is finally going to answer their prayers. Before it does so, development must progress, and thanks to this, we now have an idea of what the beefy brawler will sound like. In the above video, a heavily disguised Escalade is spotted with muscular-looking quad pipes positioned on each side of the rear bumper. Towards the end of the clip, the large luxury SUV is seen going down the road at full throttle, accompanied by a raucous V8 growl. Although there's no official commentary from General Motors, speculation dictates that the high-performance Escalade will gain its power from GM's LT4 powerplant, currently used in the CT5-V Blackwing. We're not sure how much performance the Escalade will kick out, but the 6.2-liter produces a healthy 668 horsepower in its sedan stablemate. The Camaro ZL1 makes use of the same powertrain, only with slightly less grunt at 650 hp - ample power to move the 5,550-pound Escalade around swiftly. While it's difficult to say due to design details being concealed, the prototype seen in the video appears to sit lower to the road, with a more ground-hugging stance. We're willing to guess the Escalade V will also wear a more aggressive body kit, with sportier-looking front and rear bumpers. A unique grille and some gloss black embellishments are also likely to appear, but whatever it looks like, it will certainly stand out amongst its less performance-oriented brethren. The current-generation Escalade will be the last combustion-engined full-sized SUV from the luxury brand. If that's the case, this performance variant will be a fitting send-off for the much-loved Escalade before it adopts battery power.

The Cadillac brand offers cars for cruzin game. It has a very unique look in which it can look like a luxury fancy car, very spacious on the inside and also has a sporty look with converts me features and makes it perfect for long drives and to go ride by the beach but still looking fabulous. There has been many upgrades in the Cadillac which first is their look. It has changed but you can definitely tell it is a Cadillac only by looking at the shape of the car is more square than others. The good thing about this car is that everyone fits in the car without having to be bumping shoulders with the person next to them.

I bought a 2005 Cadillac CTS. I was having to constantly put oil in it. I changed it every 3000 miles. I went to visit my dad in Iowa. During the first four hours, we had to add 4 quarts of oil to the car. Then 20 minutes from our destination, we hear a pop. The car engine dies. No brakes while driving 70 miles an hour. Thank God no one got hurt or died. We had it towed to the car repair shop. They said the engine is shot and I needed a new one. Upon researching we find out through numerous blogs that this is a constant problem with the CTS for this year, happened to numerous people and yet Cadillac does nothing to warn people or to repair the issues. What are they waiting for, people to die? Someone needs to do something about this. They should not be allowed to charge you a ton of money for their elite cars that have issues, get complaints, but yet do nothing about it.

I bought a 2009 CTS top of the line model in March of this year 500 miles after I left the dealership the check engine light came on. I put it in Levis Cadillac in Slidell, LA, for two weeks they had it and said that it was a problem with the coolant area of the car and that they had fixed it. Well in two weeks the light came on again, GUESS WHAT, the same problem. OK back to the shop I go, this time it was the end of April and they had the car for (three) weeks. I picked the car up in or on May 20th drove out the service dept. I went 25 miles, THE LIGHT CAME AGAIN !!! So I finished my business in New Orleans, LA and took it back to the Levis Cadillac. They said they would call Cadillac Technical for help. They told them to replace the same parts as before and it should be fixed. It has taken them and Cadillac until yesterday which was JUNE 25TH to so called fix the car. I picked it up at 10:30 - got on the Highway to go to the VA Hospital in New Orleans. NOW THIS IS THE PART I JUST CANT BELIEVE, THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN on my way to my doctors appointment. When I got done at the V A I drove straight back to the dealership service department and they said they would be happy to look at but its the same problem, OH MY GOD. Could someone help me out. I bought this Cadillac CTS and have only put 750 miles on it since. The car only has 46,058 miles on it! I feel like a total jerk. Ive owned 5 Cadillacs and I also own a 06 STS4, and I have had all kinds of problems with it. Well I think its time for me to reevaluate my GM LOYALTY. This sucks.......

I think the Cadillac is one of the most beautiful vehicles there is. They have a high class look and the interior is always immaculate. They are always one of the first to upgrade to the highest quality of merchandise and are always up to date. The technology is always high class and superb, and I am always happy with the newest gadgets they have. They offer a very good variety of cars and I was very happy when Cadillac started making bigger vehicles. I have a very big family and want to stay with the Cadillac brand but definitely needed the space. The only problem I had is my Cadillac caught on fire eight days after I had it.

I bought a car from our agency in Dubai Liberty. They sell GM Motors cars. I bought a Cadillac CTS 2011 V6. In the beginning, the car is great and without any problem. It’s the best car I ever drove in my life and I gave it as a gift for my wife. She was more than happy to have a CTS. She drove it till the first service. We took it to the service in Dubai (Garhood branch). After the service by 3 weeks, we were coming from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and driving at normal speed of 130 km/h, then suddenly the we heard a bomb sound and a smoke coming from the engine. Thank God we stopped and no one crashed us from back. The street was full of oil from the damaged engine. We called the street help and then we took the car to the service at Garhood branch in Dubai. And after a day they called us and said, “Sorry, the engine is damaged. We will send an approval to GM mother company to change the engine. But we don’t want to repair it because it wasn’t our mistake.” The car must be changed and they ignored me. Kindly support me in this.

I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS 3.6L engine with less than 87,000 miles on it. About 2 weeks ago, a screw had somehow backed itself out of one of the gears and caused major damage to my vehicle. The valve cover is shredded, cracked cylinder head and a piece broke off the cast iron timing chain cover. I reported it to Cadillac in hope of them standing by their product and customer loyalty and in turn they have said its not covered under the powertrain warranty. At Cadillacs request, I had the car towed to Don Massey Cadillac because they were supposed to have a reputation for good customer service. That is very wrong. They took almost 5 days to look at my car and give a diagnosis. Now the mechanic that is going to fix the car is on vacation and has three weeks of work before he could get to my car. If the dealership would have looked at the car in a timely manner the mechanic could have looked at it sooner and at least got the parts ordered. I am now going to be at least another month without my car because Cadillac wasted my time. I will NEVER buy another Cadillac or GM product. This car has never been abused or had modifications done to it. Every oil change has had synthetic oil put into it. I am very dissatisfied with the Cadillac brand of luxury. There is nothing luxury about how they treat their customers.

I purchased a brand new, off the showroom floor, 2017 Cadillac CT6 in February, 2017. On March 27, 2017 while driving in Rowland Hts., Ca. I was rear ended by a motorist who was not paying attention to the fact that everyone else but her had stopped. I had my vehicle towed to a Cadillac dealer for repair. 2 weeks later that Cadillac dealer contacted me and stated that they could not repair my car as they weren’t aluminum qualified. They found another shop in the area that was aluminum qualified but, in about 2 more weeks, I found out that this repair shop was not GM aluminum qualified. GM finally okayed a shop in North Hollywood that was qualified to repair my vehicle. My car was transported to this location but the vehicle could not be repaired at this time as there were no replacement parts available for my vehicle. Long story short: my vehicle is still in this shop and tomorrow will make it the 4th month that I have not been able to get my car back. In fairness, the Cadillac dealer that I originally took the car to has supplied me with a loaner car for the duration and they also assisted in getting GM to reimburse me for 2 months of payments on my car, but I have not seen my car for almost 4 months! Car is not totaled. My experience tells me that I will NEVER purchase another Cadillac as GM has truly dropped the ball in regard to supplying parts and a qualified repair shop. The shop that my car is still currently at is the only one in Southern California at this time so, again, I blame GM for really dropping the ball. My insurance company told me that I could take my car to any qualified repair show but by whose qualifications??? Again, I commend the dealership that has supported me during this time frame but I have lost all faith in GM.

I purchased a used 2014 Cadillac SRX Premium in February 2016 from a non-Cadillac dealership. It was the first used vehicle I purchased since 1999. But it was a Cadillac so how could I go wrong! Roughly one year later I noticed what appeared to be a blemish on the touchscreen. At first I thought the glass had cracked but determined the blemish was behind the glass. Seeing that the screen is sealed I had no idea how the blemish occurred. Needless to say over the course of the next few months the blemish morphed into what now looks like webbing. I took my vehicle to a Cadillac Dealership and the minute the Service guy looked at it he said it was a common problem with the Cadillac. After checking he found that because Id exceeded 50k miles it was not covered under warranty. Although unsightly the touchscreen still worked. Upon doing research on various message boards including the Cadillac Forum I found I wasnt the only person experiencing the issue with the webbing but I also read that eventually the touchscreen would stop working. Needless to say in October 2017 the touchscreen stopped working. I contacted Cadillac Customer via email only to be told I had to take the vehicle to a Cadillac Dealership for a diagnostic. I respond that I had in fact done so in July and attached the receipt to show info screen is spider webbing from inside. Cause: Spider webbing on center stack. I received a response via email that I had to take my vehicle to a dealership within one month of notifying Cadillac. I was provided a Service Request Number **. So, I scheduled my vehicle again and provided the dealership with the reference number. Of course they found the issue was the same. I reached out to Cadillac with the information and received a response wanting me to inform Cadillac Customer Care what the dealership recommends should be done and I was also asked to provide my VIN. I respond asking what was the purpose of my providing a reference number to the dealership if Cadillac wasnt able to look up the information. I ended my email stating I would provide the information and that I also wanted the email address or phone number of their complaint department and or problem and resolution department. On November 8th I received an email from the Cadillac customer assistance team to state theyd verified with the dealership Id had a diagnostic done on my vehicle and that a Cadillac Senior Advisor would be contacting me within two days. I missed the first call on Nov ninth and the second call later that evening. The second caller was Jacob. Jacob left me a voice message to state he was calling on behalf of Ingrid and that Ingrid was out of the office for the evening and asked that Jacob give me a call. Since Jacob missed me as well he asked that I call Ingrid on Nov 10. I called Ingrid the morning of Nov 10th and left her a message. I also received an email from Cadillac Customer care wanting to know if my issue had been resolved in which I responded it had not but I hoped to connect with Ingrid sometime during Friday. At 3:08 pm I received a call from Sharae (not sure if I spelled her name correctly). Anyway I explained the issue after which she proceeded to tell me that unfortunately because I was over 30k miles pass 50k it was not under warranty and Cadillac would not be able to do anything to cover any of the cost. I explained that Id read different forums and it seemed to be a common problem and I referred to it as a defect. She commented on how people post things on the internet. I got the impression she didnt feel what people were saying carried any weight. She also went to tell me that my issue was cosmetic not mechanical. I explained it would be cosmetic if my screen had spider webbing and the touch screen still worked. However, since my touch screen was frozen thus unusable it was more than cosmetic. I also said that a Cadillac cost entirely too much money for this type of problem. She then asked if my vehicle had been purchased new or used which I answered used but still found her question offensive. I asked her who else could I speak to and she said that she was the highest level of customer care. She does report to a supervisor but that her supervisor would tell me the same information that Sharae had already told me. Since prior to our call shed informed me our call may be monitored I asked that she please email me a transcript of our call and she said she would. What I received was Dear Ms. **, Per your request, here is a summary of the final resolution for your 2014 Cadillac SRX CROSSOVER, case number **. Based on the age and miles on the vehicle and the concern being cosmetic we are unable to offer cost assistance on these repairs, this is the final decision. Cadillac does review each customer’s concern on an individual basis. All the facts in your situation were carefully considered, and we have determined that this decision is appropriate given the details of your case. Regards, Cadillac. Customer Assistance 1-800-458-8006. I still am researching to see if I can file a formal complaint on the Cadillac Cue to include the response from their highest level of what shed defined as Customer Care. It was more like dont care!

Hello. Just wanted to seek help from this frustrating issue Ive been having with my Cadillac 2013 SRX. I purchased my vehicle in 2016 from CARMAX a certified car dealer. I drove it for about a couple weeks to have the display QUEUE system to go completely black where the radio, navigation, heat and everything couldnt be accessed and my Liftgate trunk could not open!! Carmax was very helpful to reach out to Thornton Chevrolet in getting it taken care of which I had to wait awhile due to the Radio was on back order!! My frustration is that I was told that the Cadillacs sunroofs drainage tubes are draining in the area where the Liftgate module is housed causing the motherboard to burn up or fry once the water hit it!! I feel this should be a recall and have reached out to GM with no solution being its fried again and wont open with a musty damp smell!! I am allergic to mold and have respiratory issues and I pray this situation doesnt cause a flare!! All they quoted me is a price to reseal and change the Liftgate Module out again with no guarantee that it wont happen again and Im approaching the end of my warranty!!! I feel so sad and lost because I love my SRX. Just wish they could call a recall on these issues because theres so many negative reviews about these issues!! Last it wouldve been no different had I bought this vehicle from Cadillac vs Carmax so dont say this again please, yall made the dern vehicle!!!

I have owned my 2006 DTS for 3 years. I bought it used with 51,000 miles. It now has 142,000. The car is very comfortable to drive and ride in. I love all of the luxury features such as automatic high beams, memory seats, remote start, and XM radio. I had a roomy trunk and quiet interior. It gets between 21 and 23 mpg pretty consistently on regular unleaded. What I dont like about it is how often it needs repairs. Around 70,000 miles, I had to have the entire front suspension system essentially rebuilt, as tie rods, ball joints, and struts were worn out. I developed several oil leaks, and I have stopped trying to get those fixed. Changing front turn signal bulbs and headlights requires the front bumper be removed. Parts seem expensive. I plan to keep it for another couple of years. I doubt that I will be replacing it with another Cadillac.

I just got off the phone with Cadillac and I have to say that it was one of the worst experiences that Ive ever had with regards to a vehicle I own. I first called Cadillac on Monday, October 9, 2017 and I asked to speak to a manager but the representative told me that one was not available and that one would call me back within 24 hours. The next day (Tuesday) I called again and received the same response. I called again on Wednesday and the representative was going to tell me the same thing again but I decided to explain my situation to her. I told her that I was in need of a vehicle repair because of bad parts that Cadillac installed in my truck when manufactured. The proof is in the attached image of a service bulletin. She then told me that she would get back to me after she investigated what could be done.So today Thursday I received a call from the representative, Alicia, and she says that because it was a service bulletin and not a manufacturer recall that nothing can be done. I stated to her that for there to be a service bulletin, there had to be many customer complaints experiencing the same issue so thats why the service bulletin was created to let the mechanics know that there are bad parts in my vehicle. She stated that because the trend of complaints werent big enough, a recall was not made. So my response was, how do you define how great of a trend a mechanical problem has to be before it is considered a recall? In my eyes it appears that Cadillac does not want to fork the bill for repair so they deliberately classified this mechanical problem as a low trend of complaints not worthy of an official recall so that they can pass the expense to the consumer.I totally understand their stance but is this fair to the average consumer to have to come up with thousands of dollars for a transmission related repair even if Cadillac knew that there were bad parts in my specific year/model of my vehicle? This is not morally right in my eyes and probably in the eyes of consumers that have been forced to pay out of pocket for similar situations. She asked me if it was ok to record the call at the beginning of the call in which I agreed. However I also took it upon myself to record the call as well and it is available for you to scrutinize if needed. My Cadillac case number is **. I truly hope that Cadillac can do the right thing which is to pay for repairs. Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon.

Recently purchased this as a new car from a local dealer who used it as a courtesy vehicle. It had only 2500 miles and had most of the factory warranty remaining. I am glad I did not pay the new car price and paid at a nearly 40% discount off sticker. This Cadillac defines why discerning luxury car buyers never cross shop Cadillac and laugh at the notion of Cadillac being a luxury brand. This car is rife with rattles, poor fit and finish, low quality materials, the failure that is CUE, clouding headlamps (at 4000 miles), constant headlight malfunction warnings, misfitting panels, steering that seems to have a mind of its own often failing to turn with input or causing the wheel to jerk without input. This is the sorriest excuse for a luxury automobile ever and explains why Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Volvo, Jaguar, and other traditional luxury brand owners will never cross shop a Cadillac.

I bought my Cadillac CTS almost exactly one year ago. I was driving home from work last week and I had numerous alarms go off. Only had 1st gear and no power at all. The display showed traction control malfunction, and I pulled over right away. The car went straight to the local GM dealership. The service writer told me it could be a number of things and he would have a tech look at it. Gave me a ride home, no loaners. He called back that afternoon and told me the problem was the transmission module and solenoid, pulled pan and replace parts, fluid, and filter. $1500.00! I couldnt believe it, I told him the car only has 82000 miles on it and the transmission was just serviced at 70000 miles, maintenance. I am going to ask for the old part back and somehow come up with the $1500.00.

Passenger capacity is good too. I dont have but one child and she loves the fact that she has all the backseat room to herself. The driver side is very comfortable and roomy as well. There are many differents upgrades and personal options which is the package I brought. The body model is great but I dont like the newer models body style.

There once was a time when Hyundais and Kias were the cars that would have folks stranded and broke from repair costs. Now do the research and see where Cadillacs/GMCs stand among consumers relative to them! Although I have exceeded 100,000 miles, I had no idea that a Cadillac product could ever be so very substandard in quality, craftsmanship, and durability. I paid a lot of money, and I only average about 15,000 miles per year. There are 8 major issues: 1. Failing paint on my hood. Its bubbling, and I did some research to discover that this problem is widespread, and is a well-known defect in the paint on the SRX. Every month, this bubbling gets a little wider and more unsightly.2. Drivers side headlight suddenly went out. I didnt realize it until I was stopped by the police near my neighborhood and given a ticket and repair order, which needed to be fulfilled in 30 days or my vehicles registration would be suspended. Unfortunately, unbelievably, and outrageously, I discovered from a Cadillac technician that I could not simply replace the burned-out bulb; that the real issue-- also a widespread issue among SRX models-- is that the seal around the entire headlight assembly had failed, thereby allowing moisture and condensation to seep through to cause the damage, and that it would cost $1,400 to fix.3. Catalytic converter has triggered the engine light, and when I had it checked, the Cadillac technician told me it was failing and could go out any moment, and that it would cost $1,800. Now I have been driving for 25 years and have owned 5 cars, and I have NEVER had a catalytic converter fail, and not in my wildest dreams had I ever thought it would happen under 120,000 miles.4. Passengers side headlight is now going in and out, perhaps for the same reasons of faulty SRX design that I experienced with the drivers side headlight barely a year ago. I see the same condensation and moisture building within the headlamp assembly as before. Once again, I will be expected to replace the entire assembly due to a manufacturers failure with the seal around the assembly, $1,400 again.5. When it rains, there is water from the storm finding its way into my cabin. A lot of water leaks onto the drivers side from under the dashboard and onto my shoes. This is also happening to the passengers side, and I have to place large bath towels on the left and right sides of my floors to catch the water-- when I expect rain. When I dont realize it will rain, water leaks in and drenches my floors, contributing to a mold and mildew issue.6. One day I tried to turn on my SRX radio, only to discover the sound system was mute. I did all I could to adjust the volume in my configuration settings, because I could not do OnStar, cannot place nor receive Bluetooth phone calls, cannot listen to AM/FM/XM or CDs, cannot hear my signals, cannot hear my door tones, cannot hear my navigation turn guides, and I cannot hear my rear camera indication warning tones. This is very frustrating and unnerving, because I have discovered that the SRX amplifier has failed, which prevents possibly life-sustaining and critical safety features!7. As I drive along with no sound, one headlight working, water leaking in on my designer shoes, mold and mildew building in my car, defective paint on my hood, and an engine that could stop working at anytime due to a shoddy catalytic converter-- the most frustrating recent development is that my engine is loud as heck. I am driving a Cadillac SRX4 but I sound like I am driving a lawnmower. It is an embarrassment as people, colleges, clients, and neighbors stare-- even deer-- while I am at stoplights, parking lots, and in my own driveway. The Cadillac dealer said this is most likely an exhaust system concern now!8. My trunk door sinks down after I open it but I dont close it. I have been caught in the trunk with the door pressing upon my back. Please do not be deceived by the sexy design of the Cadillacs. Its a BMW with nice big wheels, a good engine, runs 15 miles, has nice beautiful windows. Gas is good. It runs really fast with a high speed limit. It is the color red with some white in it. Red cars are the best. Has a nice big stereo. However, it will need a lot of work like nicer, better, big wheels, more windows, and a different color would be nice and a better stereo, long distance and more miles. The miles could be better with more room for a bigger family. But the capacity of this car is good. It was really good experience.

My family is more than comfortable and they can watch their devices comfortably with outlets back there. With cup holder too, but nothing compromises the roomy interior. Extra features make sure you are always comfortable. The seat adjustments and electronic features seem way ahead of time. I had the option for upgrades! My dashboard has really cool features, plus I can have roadside assistance if needed (which Ive not used yet). I highly recommend

Bought a 2015 Escalade in August 2014. Ever since then I have had nothing but problems. Had taken my car in for a vibration when I reached 70mph. Each time I had to pay out of pocket because they thought my tires needed to be balanced. The problem was still not fixed. The third time I complained and mentioned I do not feel comfortable driving the vehicle while we go out of state and demanded that they figure it out because its not the tires needing to be balanced. They fixed the problem but less than a week later, my vehicle is not blowing any cold air. I live in South Texas and it gets hot here and needless to say I also have a 2 year old who I will not put in that hot vehicle even with the windows rolled down. I brought my vehicle the day I notice the ac was out and they couldnt even look at it. Much less they didnt have any loaners to provide.I have had the worst experience with Cadillac and I will never buy another one. Also, not even having a vehicle to provide for the meantime is disappointing. I paid cash for this vehicle and they could care less if you dont have ac. I left a message to my service tech and havent received a callback. I will be trading my vehicle in for a more liable one, because not only is this an inconvenience, but I didnt pay 80k for my vehicle to give me these problems. Forgot to mention, I never even heard from the service manager or GM. If I knew a customer is having all these problems, I would make sure their needs were met. Thank you Cadillac. The only helpful person is my sales representative who doesnt have much say when it comes to service.

My car was Deville and it has the seat warmer, satellite radio, Bose music system. The car is shaped like a torpedo. It flow seamlessly down the road. It had a standard Northstar motor which provided excellent fuel savings. Its gas mileage was comparable to smaller cars. The paint job was Canadian Royal Blue in which some thought looked like deep purple. I am a pretty large guy, but never did I feel cramped or stuck in my Cadillac and it had room for 7 people. It also had a moon roof in which I really enjoyed opening day or night.

I love the Cadillac SRX car. It rides nice, is very luxurious and affordable. It has a touchscreen control display, leather interior and a panoramic sunroof. Its American made and uses flex fuel which is cheaper and better for the environment. It also has a great stereo. However, it doesnt have air conditioned seats and it doesnt get great gas mileage. Im not thrilled with the color choices and would prefer more choices. It doesnt have a built-in DVD player as well.

My beautiful car will not drive --possible drive chain problem that now has affected my cylinders. GM should repair this, they are the people who built this junker and if there is a problem with other 2004 SRXs with this, why is mine different? Im 69 and have kept my auto up. When new, my 2006 CTS with 3.6 liter V-6 used about 3 quarts of oil per 5000 miles. At 70,000 it was using 7 to 8 quarts per 5000 miles. At 93,000 it uses 9-10 quarts per 5000 miles. I bought an after market warranty for 8 years but kept getting the song and dance from the original service desk, and the next dealer did the same, after we moved across the country. The first dealer said oil usage was tolerable and should be ignored. Second dealer said the aluminum heads caused excessive oil use, not to worry. I told him my Toyota with well over 100,000 miles had an aluminum head and had never used a drop of oil. Then the service rep said bring it in after he was free from all these recalls and hed have a look. He said the engine would be drained and Mobil 1 synthetic oil would be put in the engine and Id have to return to the garage to get oil added so the system could be monitored. I told the service rep I had Mobil 1 five-quart jugs marked with mileage readings and I had been monitoring oil consumption since the car was new. The engine burned nothing but Mobil 1 oil. I told him repairing this engine was not an option, because it burned oil when new. It needed a different engine that would bolt in. I offered to buy an engine, but not the same 3.6 liter from Opel. He said I could schedule an appointment when the engine man came back. Had I been told the engine was from Opel, I would never have bought the car. I had to learn that on the internet. I thought Cadillac learned not to do this in the 1980s after they sold a low grade Cavalier with an Opel engine and called it a Cadillac. GM used to make good engines. Cadillac was a flagship product. What has happened? I dont blame GM, since the mistake was mine in buying a Cadillac. I recognized the decision was a big risk. But mostly Im just disappointed GM continues to market Cadillac heavily with glitz and sex appeal and make such a horrible product. How many American consumers must be duped?

Do not ever buy a Cadillac. I am on my second SRX, the first was totaled and was the standard model 2011. I upgraded to a 2015 and was excited about the luxury features. Heritage Cadillac in Cobb County sold me a vehicle with a frozen CUE screen and luckily I caught it and they replaced it immediately the day after I drove it off the lot. Then I slowly realized my headlights werent working properly over the following months. They seemed too dim but they were on. Finally after the second time somebody almost hit me at night I knew something was amiss. I googled and sure enough, lawsuits and complaints! I will never buy another GM car and I am beyond disgusted that a dealership would knowingly sell me a car with faulty parts without disclosing the information beforehand! I cannot WAIT to get in on this headlight class action lawsuit! Buyer Beware! Once GM agrees to pay for these lights Im getting them fixed and trading it in for a Mercedes!

I purchased the 2015 Cadillac Escalade SUV before it came out. I purchased it in Aug. of 2014. I was so happy to be one of the only people in my area to drive the new model Cadillac Escalade. Everything was going great until I noticed the transmission slipping when I hit the gas. I took it into the nearby Cadillac dealer in Burlingame CA. They are called PUTNAM Cadillac. I pulled up to the service line. After I told them I was having issues with transmission. They told me to wait. I waited 20-30 mins later ask what happened. They told me, You didnt buy your car from us so just keep quiet and wait until we are ready to help you. Wow this was a shock to me. I couldnt believe a big brand company would say something like this. They kept my care for a 1-2 weeks and told me the slipping is normal. I had no choice but to believe them. I am not a mechanic but Im sure I know when a transmission slips. Anyway I took off. Also the navigation was freezing and the steps were not working properly. They also replaced the electrical harness said it was bad. Then 1 month later the steering started clicking. Long story short after 4 visits to the same dealer. They ended up replacing the complete steering console. NOT SURE WHY THEY WOULD HAVE LET ME DRIVE. MY FAMILY AROUND ALL THIS TIME IF THEY KNOW THE PROBLEM COULDNT GET FIXED. I could have gotten in a accident and took my family with me.Since I purchased this car for the family. After all the problems I had to buy my wife a minivan (while still paying for the Cadillac payments) because she didnt feel safe in the Cadillac. She didnt even let me take the kids anywhere. So I ended up purchasing a truck so I could safely drive my kids around and not loss my marriage over the Cadillac. After they replaced the steering console the clicking went away but now the steering console is loose. Wow what the hell is going on here. If this is not a lemon vehicle then I dont know what is. I just got off the phone with Cadillacs rep. They said, What do you want?. I told them I want my money bad at the least (minus any wear and tear. Im a very fair person, but I dont want to be taken advantage of.). They said That is impossible, but we will forward your info to the higher ranked people in GM. So I will wait to hear from them and see what they say. I will keep this review updated every time I speak to them so everybody will know how it is to deal with a lemon vehicle with GM.

I own a 2002 Cadillac Deville. I have had continual problems with all of my automatic windows. Basically, all four windows have broken at least once in the three years I have owned this car. The windows go down, but they will not go up. I have had at least two or three of these windows fail at least two times. I have had one window fail 3 times. The cost of repairing these windows is approximately $300.00 to $400 a piece. I have come to learn (from the Frank ** Service Manager) that this particular is a well known design flaw with the Cadillac Deville. They have seen this issue with many customers on a repeated basis. I think this demonstrated a design problem with this car and has nothing to do with normal wear-and-tear. First, GM should be ashamed of not fixing this issue and having a recall. I would like to get a refund for my latest repair. I have no problem contacting my local FOX TV affiliate in Dallas/FW and make them aware of this issue. They have a reporter that handles issues such as these. I will send you my latest repair bill for $500.00 and then I will sell this car. What a disgrace of a product.

It has intelligent beam headlights and has some great features. It also has a phenomenal audio system and I upgraded to deluxe CD player system. I bought the last model year in 2011 and loved the 3.6 L V-6 engine. It has heated seats, heated steering wheel, easy to use cruise control, heated mirrors, rear seats which fold down, and the center armrest has a pass thru. It makes it easy to put fishing poles and/or skis in the trunk. The interior is roomy. It can easily accommodate five adult passengers or six if some are children. Theres enough legroom in the back so that no ones knees are hitting the back of the front seat, even when the driver has the seat back.

Later, I replaced the AC Fan motor with an OEM unit and a new battery again OEM just recently as the vehicle had remained in a car storage unit for a year here in Ft. I bought a 2014 Cadillac in early 2017, fresh off of a 2 year lease with just under 17,000 miles on it. It was my dream to own a Cadillac so I finally took the plunge. Ive lovingly babied it, its literally been used only for trips as I work from home. 18 months later, the CUE is out at a cost of $1500 and something about some hub things that wear out in the front causing the car to sound like it is revving all the time. Total cost to get my barely 3 year old car with 37000 miles on it fixed? $2800. Im getting it fixed and going to trade it in on a Kia. I acquired a 2004 SRX with the Northstar 4.6L engine six months ago with 131,000 miles on it. The car looked immaculate and had every option known to man so I tried to block out all that I had previously heard/read about maintenance problems with Cadillacs. On the first day of ownership, I noticed the coolant reservoir was dry so I filled it up. That quickly became a ritual. I now understand why reviews I read said their SRX spent more time in the shop than out. Within six months, Ive had to replace the power steering pump, alternator, battery, headlight, radiator, thermostat, brake pads, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold and emergency brake. As if all that wasnt bad enough, it was confirmed today that Ill need a head gasket or a another engine (which in some cases is cheaper). All this within 2,000 miles of driving!Well its game over for me. Ill take whatever I can get for this dog and NEVER buy a GM vehicle again. Bailing out GM was the last thing the government shouldve done! They dont care about their customers! And to think, my last car was a Mazda 3 that I drove for 10 years with $670 in total out-of-pocket maintenance costs. NEVER AGAIN...

I bought my 2013 SRX in 2014 and it had 12000 miles on it. The transmission shifts so hard, GM says this is normal. I dont think so. They had a recall on it, but I cant tell a difference. My cue screen quit working at 61k miles. Just over factory warranty. Dealership told me it would be at least 1200.00 to fix it, I opted to go without. Fast forward 6 months. My front left tire will not hold air, its a brand new tire. Come to find out, my rim has corroded and will not seal to the tire. Eventually, this happened with all 4 tires. Meanwhile, my cue screen has started cracking on the inside. I dont even use the cue module because it doesnt work. Dealership said it cracked because of the heat. I end up with a flat tire at end of my driveway, I go to change it, no spare, no donut. Just a can of fix a flat type stuff. I call dealership, they tell me to call roadside assistance. Seriously? I find out from the internet that I can order the cue replacement screen on Amazon for 80 bucks. I did. Then I took it to a local mechanic and had them install it for me. Cost me 130 bucks to have it installed. Beats the hell out of the minimum of 1200 for Cadillac. They try telling you the whole unit needs replaced. They take it, slap a new screen on it and sell it as refurbished. Crooks! So after buying new rims and an aftermarket screen and dealing with a hard shifting car, Im at 91k miles at this point, I get in my car to leave work and the ac stopped working. Took it to my fave local mechanic. He tries to fix it but apparently it is a sensor that has to be fixed by a gm dealer so it can be reprogrammed. Of course it does! To sum it all up, the Cadillac looks nice, the electronics quality is definitely lacking, and Cadillac does not stand behind their product. I will never buy another gm product again. My money will go back to Nissan.

2000 Cadillac Deville Delegance - Purchased the car in 2005 with 67K miles on it. I wanted a big car to be comfortable sitting in traffic. The Car was a Florida car brought up to NYC for trade-in on a Toyota Avalon. The dealer indicated the car had all service records from the date of purchase, so i bought the car. It was a REALLY nice car to drive, big beautiful bench seats, lots of power and great on gas. I averaged 25MPG which in a cruiser was something unheard of at the time. But at about 75K miles, all the beauty was left behind. The car ended up with overheating issues, i brought it to Cadillac who indicated that this was a known issue on the Deville and DHS of those years, that the NorthStar had issues with the head studs sealing incorrectly and leaking. They told me that the engine would need to be replaced, because of the design flaw that caused the engine head to warp (Why no recall?). I ended up buying a NHRA approved Dragster Radiator and cooling fan and wired it up to a toggle switch, after checking with multiple forums, it turns out that this is NOT the case, it is a flaw in the cooling system, that if caught early enough can be corrected. This worked for the remainder of the life of the car, but in that time, I replaced: All power window motors with Toyota Camry motors, which lasted the length of the car, replaced the thermostat with a wide open version that would constantly circulate the coolant. Replaced the stereo, as it shorted out, due to water leaking into the car when it rained, which used to set the alarm off while driving in the rain. Replaced the Torque converter with a high performance one from an LT1 Vette. And for kicks after the exhaust rotted off put two flowmasters on it. While it was a nice looking car, it died at 103K miles with a fiery death due to an electrical fire from water leaking into the car from under the windshield onto the electronic instrument cluster. (Ironically after the fire my fans and radiator still worked) Guess I wire better than GM. My complaint with GM is why they cant build cars better? I have had Toyotas go 400K+ miles with only 1-2k dollars of actual maintenance needed for the life of the car. I cant understand why people keep buying them. I for one would buy another Cadillac Deville, but only as a weekend tinker project, or possibly a demo derby car, since fire typically gets the crowd roaring!

I purchased a 2012 Cadillac SRX with Navigation. It is a piece of trash. It doesnt place me within 1000 feet of my desired target and gives wrong messages as far as turning directions. I discussed the problem with the Cadillac District Rep and he said its as good as it gets. The Nav system is a $2400+ add-on. My advice? Dont buy a Cadillac. Their customer service stinks. I am among millions whose tax money went to a GM bailout. The company should have heavy-hitter legal action against them.

Escalade ESV is a great truck to own. It is great on gas. I dont like giving a lot of rides so I like the fact that it only sits four. I also love the paint job and the leather interior. The radio is modern and I can use all of my wireless or Bluetooth devices with no problem. You can upgrade your truck to include many features like a better radio, side ramps and twenty four inch rims. You can also get an alarm package. I would also like to someday purchase the new Coup de Ville.

I was a proud owner of a Cadillac SRX until I had to pay to repair a manufacturer flaw in the transmission. I know that Cadillac is aware of the problem because they made a part to fix it, but thought so little of their customers. They left us the bill to fix it. I will not purchase another car from a company that will leave their mistakes for customers to pay for. I feel I am owed a refund for the repair. Its Cadillacs responsibility to sell a car without defects.

Nothing hit it, it was cold, but in the 30s. Dont know why it happened and even though my car is still under warranty, the glass is not. So its $500+ out of my pocket. Very unhappy.

The car also comes with many great upgradable options like real leather interior as well as different add on options that make the car more functional like a whisper quiet. Also, it is plenty big to fit at least 7 passengers and more so theres room to store all your crap with plenty of space that you want to look at your other passengers.

Unfortunately the 2011 excellent DTS Cadillac we owned was in a head on with a loose horse and my husband was killed and me suffering injuries for 3 years. Needless to say that Cadillac was totaled. It was my mother’s day gift from my love. To top that in 2 months I lost my only grand daughter and her 3 year old girl in a horrific wreck roll over auto accident where they drowned in the bayou of Louisiana. It was so devastating to where all I wanted to do was die. Then 2 weeks later lost 3 very long time best friends in weird tragic ways.Rented a car for 3 months then found this incredible awesome 2013 Cadillac XTS 4. Only 6,000 miles from previous owner. I was happy to say the sales rep got me through to the purchase and it was my Miracle Car. I have loved it with all my heart and had more compliments than ever on an auto from young kids to people so old they could hardly walk with their canes or walkers. It is an absolute beauty.BUT now... along with so, so many I found online with exact same problem, most threatening, suggesting or planning to file a class action suit, I too am so distraught because the CUE SYSTEM is OUT! It began (like most others) at the bottom level, then in short time, maybe 2 weeks, the entire system went out. NO navigation, no radio, no Sirius XM, which Ive paid a year in advance for. No car phone, no emergency contact info. The car was purchased as a luxury with all of this in it, but now it is NOT working! I suggested to the big online group to let’s ask Cadillac to do a RECALL since so many have or will have this same problem, trying to talk them out of a class action suit.I do NOT want to make a bad name for Cadillac as I LOVE the dealership, the SERVICE representatives and mechanics and the dept. Their services are the BEST ever! The salesman who sold it to me was the BEST ever. Im 77 so Ive purchased a lot of cars and dealt with a lot of salesmen! Will you PLEASE, PLEASE help me to get this CUE Infotainment Center replaced? I was told by dealership it would be a minimum of $1,200 and others were told up to $1,900.We are appalled that our warranties and extended warranties do not cover replacement and there is no fix for it. Warranties state that the only classification is RADIO and radio is not covered. Thanks for your help. Hopefully to assist me in pulling out of this deep depression and downhill slide with this all now happening on top of everything else. This system is really the only companionship I had when traveling alone.

The vehicle owned was a Cadillac Seville. It was a great vehicle to drive around in. I really hated time caught up with it. It was a 1989 white vehicle. The ride of the vehicle was very smooth. The seats were leather and were red in color. The music system was great. It had a radio and cassette player. The tires were black with white walls. The carpet that come with the vehicle was replaced with new carpet of the same color which was red. The vehicle would seat 5 people comfortable. The seating would accommodate 3 large individuals and 2 medium size individuals with no problem. The vehicle was very personal in a sense that I owned it for so long it became part of me. One of the best vehicles.

Also the CUE in dash screen began to crack internally around 74,000 miles. Both are very expensive items to replace. Cadillac only offered to pay for 40% of my differential repairs even though the differential began to go out under warranty. Also the CUE screen is no longer under warranty. I purchased my SRX 1.5 years ago with 49,000 miles on it. I also purchased a 10 year/ 100,000 mile extended warranty. This car I knew I would have a long time as it had low miles, good car fax, and the extended warranty. The transfer case rear out put shaft seal went out. I was told that I was placed on a national back order list and they did not know when I would get the part, that was 5 months ago. I then called corporate in September to see what they could do.I received a call back from corporate yesterday stating that they no longer make the part and that I am out of luck. I asked if they would cut me a break on trading mine in for a newer one and they stated no and that there was nothing they could do for. I need help!! I have a car payment that I pay every month for this car and cannot even get it fixed. I work every day and have 5 children that I support. What the heck am I suppose to do?! Ive called dismantlers, authorized dealers, regular dealers, searched the net (all placed orders canceled) all over a $15 seal.

New run flat tires installed on 2016 Cadillac. If they get a flat you must buy and install a new tire at a cost of $300.00 plus they cannot be repaired and this is not considered a road hazard defect under warranty description. This is not made known to the buyer as a fact until you get a flat that should cost about $30.00 to repair on all older type tires. The sad part is if you get another flat tire by a nail or anything else you would have to buy another new tire. The car does not come with a spare or tools to change your tire.

The model is also equipped with a digital read outs that check condition of the car. The DTS has leather interior it makes the ride extremely nice. The car comes with a large trunk which makes it easy to carry luggage and other items as well. One of our favorite upgrades are the seats, they have the option to make them hotter or colder. We also love the digital readout of tire, and engine conditions, as well as the temperature read out of the outside and inside of the car. The car can hold up to three passengers in the front and back with bench seats up front. There is plenty of leg room for passengers as well.

Purchased Cadillac SRX, March 15, 2014 from Valley Cadillac; 3100 Winton Ro
Purchased Cadillac SRX, March 15, 2014 from Valley Cadillac; 3100 Winton Road South, Rochester NY 14623. We took possession of the Cadillac SRX March 17, 2014 from Valley Cadillac. Problems start at 3.5 months of ownership: End of June 2014/Beginning of July 2014 rattle noises heard from the back of the car when going over any uneven pavement, potholes, turns, entering and exiting the driveway. Depending on speed and the amount the vehicle flexes determines how soft or loud the noise is. Its not always consistent either. Thought it was the storage cover took out noises still heard. Sat in the back seat while partner drove and thought maybe it was the plastic around the glass tailgate since it looked broken at the seam. After a few weeks of listening to the noise, I decided to bring into the dealership. July 17th: After hours drop at Valley Cadillac.July 18th: I left a note for the Service Rep to look at the plastic around the glass of the lift gate since it appeared broken to me and to drive the car to listen for the noise. Maybe it was the broken plastic making the noise (?) July 18th: Service Rep called that afternoon and told me I could pick up the car. Service Rep explained the problem was the liftgate wedges making the noise. They tried to lubricate and adjust the wedges but it didnt work so they replaced the tailgate/liftgate wedges and test drove the car. They said it was fixed. The minute I drove out of the parking spot at the dealership I heard the noise. I went into talk with the Service Rep and he had the mechanic that worked on the car come out to talk with me. Since the wedges didnt appear to fix the problem, I asked if he looked at the plastic around the liftgate window. He said no. I climbed into the back and showed him the broken piece and wondered if that was the problem. He wasnt sure since the wedges are known to be the culprit. I scheduled another service visit the following week.July 22nd: After hours drop at Valley Cadillac. July 23rd: They kept the car till July 25th. They said a plastic part of the tailgate had not been delivered and would it be ok for them to keep another day. I agreed. July 25th: They said they fixed the problem. They replaced the plastic on the liftgate. They replaced the liftgate actuator since it was leaking hydraulic fluid. Replaced a lift gate strut since they said the trunk support was leaking and was weak. I picked the car up. On my drive home, the car started making the noise again. When I got home, I opened the tailgate and found that the plastic that was broken around the liftgate window was secured together as if glued (This must have been the plastic piece they fixed). The interior fabric header on the left and right side was frayed away from the tailgate rubber gasket and the interior left side plastic panel wasnt attached to the metal frame. I called the Service Rep and told him the noise was a little better but not fixed. I told him about the frayed fabric and plastic piece not attached. He was very sorry as he did not inspect the car before I picked it up since the Service Rep was busy with another customer when I arrived. Not an issue. I asked the Service Rep to have a loaner car brought to my house and they can take the SRX and I can drive them around in the SRX to hear the noise and show them the interior parts not attached. Service Rep agreed. July 29th: Mechanic came to my home with the loaner car. I showed him the interior pieces that were not attached and he explained that he had to take various pieces apart to make the last repairs and had difficulty putting them back together. We rode around in the car and the Mechanic heard the noise coming from the back of the car. He said there were 10 other vehicles in the shop with the same problem. He was working with another Mechanic to try and fix the problem since GM didnt have a recommended fix. Mechanic left with my car to take back to the dealership. July 30th: Get a call from the Service Rep asking if I ever had a problem with the front passenger window not going up. I said no. He said they are unable to get the window up and will have to fix it. July 31st: The Mechanic dropped the SRX off at my home and explained what they did. He explained that the front passenger window had been adjusted and was working properly. He opened the lift gate and showed me that all the interior plastic pieces and the fabric header were repaired. The wedges and liftgate striker were shimmed and re-adjusted. I pushed the button to lower the liftgate and just as it was about to close and lock, it popped open on its own. The Mechanic said he had opened and closed the liftgate 20 times at the shop without a problem. We were able to get the liftgate shut by holding the liftgate down so it would open up on its own. We drove around the neighborhood and I thought it was better but as soon as I turned up my drive, it made a noise. I called the Service Rep and told him it wasnt fixed. I had to keep the SRX as we were going away and needed to use the car. August 1st: On a weekend trip. Had to drive to Maryland and listen to the music pretty loud since the noise in the back is unbelievably annoying. We reached our destination and dropped bags at hotel lobby. My partner pushed the liftgate close button from the driver door and started to drive away. I forgot to tell him the gate might not shut and sure enough it opened on him. He tried several times to get it shut and finally it closed by pushing down on it. (What is the point of having an auto liftgate if you have to hold it down to get it to close). August 5th: Dropped the SRX off at Valley Cadillac in an attempt to fix the noise problem again and liftgate not staying shut. A GM representative was at Valley Cadillac and our Service Rep showed him the car and explained what was going on. The GM rep said that the tailgate/liftgate noise was a known problem with the Cadillac SRX. That its a design flaw and there is no fix for it since it doesnt happen on every SRX. Valley Cadillac had a case number generated with GM since this was an apparent problem. The liftgate close switch was replaced maybe due to corrosion in the switch that made the tailgate go up on its own. I also had them do an oil change and tire rotation since we were leaving to go out of town for the week. August 6th: The car was ready to be picked up but I didnt pick up till the 7th since we didnt have time to get it until then. August 7th: I met with the Service Manager who told me he would elevate the issue to the District Manager and that the District Manager would call me. The Service Manager explained it is a problem with the SRX and that there is another individual that is having the same issues. Others that have had the issue had been fixed or have chosen to ignore it.August 8th: On my way to work the Engine light came on. I called our Service Rep. The Service Rep said to bring it in since I was leaving to go out of town at 12 noon that day. I went to the dealership. I waited for the car and the Service Rep told me it was an actuator in the emissions that had gone bad but it was replaceable. Upon leaving the Service Rep told me that the actuator wasnt broke but that it was a hose that was disconnected, probably from when the car was manufactured. At this time, I told the Service Rep that I had been patient but that I was losing my patience. He told me that he understands the car makes noises and that a luxury car such as this should not make them. He also stated that most people can ignore the noise but understands I am more sensitive to it, as he would be too. Seriously??? The car is a $47,000.00 piece of junk.August 9th: Upon arriving at our vacation destination, the front passenger side window would not go up. I called the dealership but service was closed. I called our sales rep and left a not so nice message on his voice mail. He did call us back and suggested we take the car to the nearest dealership (which was 1.5 hours away) we explained we were on vacation so we had the car towed to the dealership. We couldnt pick the car up until that Thursday 8/14 so we didnt have a car for 4 days while on vacation. August 15th: I called the Service Manager to tell him the District Manager never called me. August 18th: The District Manager finally called and I explained to him what I wanted. I want my down payment back and you take this car and cancel my lease.August 21st: Our sales rep calls and tells us we can come to the dealership and pick out any new Cadillac. I told him I didnt want another Cadillac. If I wanted another Cadillac sedan, I would have bought one in the first place and I dont trust the SRX enough to want to ever drive another one. August 22nd: I spoke with the District Manager and told him I was very unsatisfied. I explained again what I wanted. He acted like I never told him that. August 25th: The District Manager said he escalated this matter to his Regional Manager. I asked for his name and contact information and I was told the Regional Manager doesnt deal with the customer. At this point, I called the Executive branch at GM and a case number was generated with one of the customer service reps. September 5th we take a weekend trip to visit friends in PA. We arrived at their house, close the tailgate and it pops open again! 3 times! So I call the customer service rep at the executive branch so she can make a note of it in the case file. It has been 6 weeks since this issue was escalated to the District Manager and 4 weeks since it was escalated to the Executive Branch and no one has been able to give me any decision. We leave the car in the garage and dont drive it unless we have too. At this point we are wasting money on a car with known problems and problems that just appear out of nowhere. Valley Cadillac has written this off as GMs problem and GM is doing nothing to make this car go away. We need help! In Summary: Tailgate/Liftgate makes noises that sound as if the gate is not shut or the vehicle is not structurally sound. GM knows of the problem but wont fix it and tells us we just have to live with it. In for service 4 times for the same issue. Tailgate /Liftgate doesnt always shut automatically without having to hold it shut. Front Passenger Winder is fixed??? Will it break again?? The dealership has shoddy at best workmanship. Poor vehicle quality = poor resale. I would never be able to get rid of this vehicle on my own. GM does not care that every day they dont make a decision to take this vehicle back its costing me money. All we want is our down payment of $2800.00, return the vehicle and rip up the lease. It has been 6 weeks since this issue was escalated to the District Manager and 4 weeks since it was escalated to the Executive Branch and no one has been able to give me any decision.

My wife and I traded our Yukon Denali in on a new Cadillac XT5 on 2/21/2018. Four months after our trade, we got a correspondence from a Seattle detective indicating that our former Denali had just been involved in a criminal activity and wanted to question us about it since it was our vehicle. Turns out Larson Cadillac had not removed our license plates from the Denali and the detective thought we were the criminals. Last month we started receiving toll charges by mail related to our former Denali. Larson did take the proper, common actions to remove us from the Denali when we traded it in, and now say that its up to use to clean up the mess. Very disappointed in their lack of professionalism as we havent had that same experience with any other dealer we have ever done business with?

My car has all kinds of annoying rattling sound coming from the interior panels. I left the car the whole day today at the second dealership I went and they diagnosed they couldn’t duplicate just like the other dealership that I visited for the same issues five times. As soon as I drove it off from the parking lot I was able to hear the annoying noise. Before I was able to get my car back, I told the service staff I will come back at seven, but she already left with other staffs by the time I called at 6:30. I was able to find a sales staff and he told me to come back in the morning but I already drove an hour. He found a key later on and I was able to get my car back after begging three twice. 2011 Cadillac SRX Luxury Collection Delegance - Anyone who buys this year/model car should beware of the issues. I was fortunate enough to unload this car and I couldnt be happier that I am rid of it. It was in the shop at least once a month after the warranty was over. I could not afford to keep taking it to the mechanic for one thing after another and there are no decent warranties available to cover it over 60k. I drive a lot (obviously its a 2011 and it had over 70k when I got rid of it). Cadillac should offer a much longer warranty if they are going to sell a crossover or any other vehicle that needs repairing as much as this. There is no piece of mind with this car. The navigation was always broken and the pop up screen is a joke. The starter was fixed twice, the water pump was bad, the belts were bad, it overheated constantly, it was making thumping noises toward the end so I knew the transmission was about to go. If Cadillac considers elegance as waiting for another tow truck, then they did a good job. I couldnt wait to get my new Land Rover but I dont think I will ever get out from under that Cadillac.

2003 cadillac deville - This car is a lemon. I have this car in the auto shop so much they know my name. I have replaced windows, ignition, alternator, etc...... Now my dilemma is whether or not to rebuild the transmission 2200 and something else is wrong for 800 total of 3000 dollars. While I am making my decision I am driving my kids and I around in a 1996 Toyota Camry around. I will never buy a Cadillac again. They look good on the outside but are the ugliest things on the inside. I have not even had this car for 4 years.

I really love it. It has a great deal of variety. Appearance is very cool and the painting is very shiny and sparkly. I love the leather seats and stuff. It has a good feel to it. The passenger capacity is very large depending how you put down. You choose it to be up eight cars seats for many. The upgrades on the car is very nice too and you can get upgrade at a local store. I also really like the motor.

Earnhardt Cadillac, Scottsdale LIES AND COVERS UP, WHAT A CUSTOMER SERVICE
Earnhardt Cadillac, Scottsdale LIES AND COVERS UP, WHAT A CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARE! In January of 2011, I purchased a 2008 Cadillac STS in excellent condition, with less than 20,000 miles 20,000 ARIZONA MILES! That means no snow exposure and little, if any at all, rain exposure. With such low mileage and the excellent condition of the car, I was looking forward to several years of enjoying it.Cadillac vehicles have been a constant in my family for as long as I can remember. My grandfather bought a new one every 12-18 months and my father has ALWAYS had a Cadillac - a new one every 2 years. I was excited to continue this family tradition. I took extra special care of the cars I do all my cars. I purchased the extended warranty and serviced the car, oil changes and ALL other service, ONLY at Legends Cadillac, which became Earnhardt. In the early part of 2014, my car began making an unusual noise only upon the first cold start in the morning. Of course, I took the car to Earnhardt for a diagnosis. I was told that the service department was unable to replicate the noise and thus could not provide a diagnosis, but that the car seemed to check out and be running just fine. There were no concerns. The power train warranty expired at the end of June, while the car was still well below 70,000 miles. In August of this year, while driving with my 2 young children, I received a message stating OIL LOW, TURN OFF CAR. I was able to drive to the dealership for service. This appointment revealed only, according to JD our service manager, that an oil pressure sensor wire had come loose causing the alert message. I asked if this could be related to the noise that they had been unable to diagnose, which had significantly worsened over time. JD told me no, stated that the car was running fine and sent me on my way.A couple of weeks ago, with the noise now EXTREMELY loud and a noticeable hesitation on acceleration, my wife contacted JD and told him that there was definitely a problem and demanded to drop the car off at service. Two days later, I received a call from JD stating that there was a major problem, oil pressure related, that had caused extensive damage to the engine and would cost $4,800.00 to repair! Oil pump issue. I ended the conversation knowing that I did not have $4,800.00 laying around and available, to fix the car. I also stated that a Cadillac that has been babied, with less than 70,000 miles, should absolutely not have repair issue of this magnitude.I then received a call from JD, much later the same day, stating that he had taken it upon himself and spent several hours on the phone with Cadillac, going to bat for me, to have the repair costs reduced. He then revealed a reduced repair cost of $1,800.00, and acted as though I should be forever grateful for this good deed on behalf of himself and Cadillac?? This good deed, if anything, indicates to me a sense of guilt or responsibility. I responded stating that this was still an enormous amount of money and a problem that should not exist at less than 70,000 miles. Additionally, I reminded him that I had brought the car in to service, prior to the expiration of the Power Train warranty, for this issue AND that the car had been in service for an OIL PRESSURE ISSUE in August. Again, he mentioned the good deed offer that Cadillac was willing to extend. My wife went to the dealership to pick up the car. She requested full service records and was told by JD, that he was unable to print them, and that he could only see them on his computer screen. He blamed this issue on the Legends/Earnhardt transition. My wife insisted on obtaining the service records, even if it meant that she would need to take pictures of his computer screen showing the records. JD replied saying that he would try. He then returned 10 minutes later with printed service records. My wife noticed that the most recent records were missing and asked JD about them. He acted surprised and said that he would check again. He returned with the service record from August 2014. My wife proceeded to ask about the record for when the car was brought to service for the unidentifiable noise, PRIOR TO THE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY EXPIRATION. She was told, by JD, that because there was no service completed, there was no official record of the visit?!?!?In summation, neither Earnhardt nor GM/Cadillac, has made any attempt to follow up with me regarding the situation, even though I have pursued an answer on a management level. They have clearly demonstrated that the loyalty in this relationship was one sided, on my part, and that they clearly do not value my business. Do yourself a favor, STEER CLEAR OF EARNHARDT CADILLAC IN SCOTTSDALE, AND CADILLAC IN GENERAL!

I have a 2002 Cadillac Escalade that has been covered and babied since new. This past week, we were driving on freeway and my paint started peeling off the hood and off the roof top. I went home to wash and when I started spraying, it just kept peeling off like a big bubble underneath paint. My wifes car has been well taken cared of and has very low miles which still looks like its brand new until this paint started peeling. My wifes brother works for GM for 40 years and he said that his was an Elpol discrepancy and GM needs to re-paint. Please let me know what my next step should be.

The Cadillac SUV is the biggest on the market, and the room is outstanding for a large family or if you have to ride with a team or group. There is also no need to update this SUV because it has everything you want in a SUV. It is great on and off the road, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes big trucks .For the price, you cant beat it. It is the best for the money. And for resale, it is the best you can have.

I bought a 2007 Cadillac CTS about 3 years ago and the car only have 51,000 miles right now and is in the dealer getting a major repair because half of the motor has no compression. The car had no oil but the engine light never turned on to let me know. And once the car stopped running, that was when the engine light finally turned on. I really dont know what good is to complain if I am not going to get the repair for free but, it would be nice if all these complaints about Cadillac go public on national television. The government bailed out GM with the tax payer money and they are still screwing up. That car was my dream car and now, its my nightmare car. I will never buy a Cadillac again.

All the modern conveniences are great but present a lot of learning plus trail and error. The comfort, power and prestige are all great but come at a cost.

I have a 2011, CTS, premium edition. At 30,000 miles, I had to have timing chains replaced! Never heard of a timing chain(s) going out that fast! Date of replacement was 10/7/2016. Glad I had purchased an extended warranty!! Over $1200.00 for the work!! And yes, it is a 3.6 engine. Acted like the battery was low for quite a while before I took it in for repair. As I had a new battery, I thought it was starter trouble. Overall, the car is very dependable, I have had it for three + years now. First repair done.

Our government should have gone after GM for allowing them to produce an engine that has leaked thousands of gallons of oil on our nations highways. This engine is an inferior design & GM should have been held responsible. This is a common problem with all GM Northstar oil leaking Engines and there was never a recall. GM never attempted to correct the oil leak problem. When it was new the sticker price on my 1996 Cadillac was approx $45,000. My 1997 Ford Explorer went for approx $23,000 & it doesnt leak a drop of oil. Shame on you General Motors!!!

I bought a brand new Cadillac CT6 in 2017. After 2 years of use, I noticed the wheels had some spots that resulted to be paint peeling off of the wheels. It took multiple visits to the dealership to open a report and get the warranty claim started since service technicians did not know how to properly open a warranty claim. After more than 2 months of continuous visits to the dealership, GM finally answered that they would not replace the wheels due to warranty expiration. Poor warranty support on a car of more than $50k tag price. Not buying Cadillac again.

It has been issue after issue with this car. The day I bought it the service engine light came on. Took it to the dealer and they just reset the computer. Long story short, it took over 30 days of it being in the shop to then finally get the rear differential replaced. I did online research and found some 1000 rear differential were faulty. The guy at the service department really didnt care. GM never recalled or made it public even after they knew. Then the horrible Pirelli tires started losing air pressure. Had 2 of them replaced, fast forward 1 1/2 years, I just replaced 3 of them replaced. The cherry on top is now the AC doesnt function properly.I have taken the car in several times and after several attempts they only replaced the compressor. The issue is still there and they are telling me theres nothing they can do. I am in Florida and cant afford a car without AC which cost well over 50k. Bottom line it has been issue after issue. I have gotten to the point where I want to trade it in and get a different brand. To GM: you really dropped the ball on the quality of parts you assemble Cadillac with.

I purchased a 2006 Cadillac CTS in May 2010. Since the purchase, I have had several car repairs resulting in thousands of dollars. I make sure that I receive regular oil changes and follow recommendations for Mobil 1 oil only. I have to purchase approximately 6 to 8 quarts of the oil to add to my engine between oil changes. I had my mechanic assess the vehicle and there are no leaks. The car simply drinks oil. This is quite an expense since an oil change is approximately $100 and a quart of Mobil 1 oil is $10 a quart. This is simply unacceptable. I have read many complaints where people have lost their engines over oil consumption. Its simply not fair to the consumer to have to bear this expense for a product that is supposed to be trusted. In addition to this, I am putting brakes on my vehicle (front and back) twice a year. This is unheard of. There needs to be some accountability and responsibility for the makers of this vehicle.

I bought a 2007 CTS in March 2010. Early 2013, the engine light kept coming on. So, in April 2013, on Monday morning I went for an oil change. Two days later on Wednesday, I changed spark plugs and gaskets. Two days later on Friday, I was driving on the highway and noticed the car had no power. I stopped the car and the transmission had completely blown. The radiator fluid mixed with the transmission fluid. I had to replace both the transmission and the radiator. In total, this has already cost me over $4,000.00 (four thousand). If this wasnt bad enough...I went for an oil change in July 2013 and the mechanic showed me that the main frame holding the car together has completely rusted through on the bottom. I pushed on it and my finger went through the rust. This of course is extremely dangerous and will cost me a lot of money to fix. I cant believe a car with the reputation and price tag as high as a Cadillac can make their vehicles so badly. My vehicle is only 7 years old and has already cost me an extreme amount of money. I still owe money on the car, so Im stuck paying for the repairs. I am not sure who to turn to for help. Can anyone help me...or am I stuck with a LEMON?

During the last 18 months, I have had to replace all four (4) of the window regulators on my 2004 DeVille. The one on the driver’s rear was replaced on 6/17/10; that on the passenger front on 9/30/2010; the driver front window regulator was replaced on 12/31/10; and the passenger rear’s regulator was also replaced on 1/22/12. This would almost be funny if it wasnt so sad. This is fundamentally a quality issue with a supplier or a product specification issue with Cadillac. Either way, to have something like this happen to a Cadillac and 3 of the 4 within 6 months, makes me question Cadillacs commitment to overall product quality. To make matters worse, when I called Cadillac and opened a case requesting some recompense, they simply offered the canned response: “off warranty, too old and too many miles for us to be concerned with.” Well, they may have gotten the benefit of the parts sales thru the dealer (this was almost $600/regulator), but I will not buy another Cadillac. Too bad, this was my 3rd.

I like the sub while my grandma enjoys the Eldorado. I have driven both and its a good car experience. The appearance is one of the best qualities of these cars. I mostly drive one because of brand recognition. Mine is an older model that is holding up well on the road. Sometimes I wish they got better mileage though. But I am very happy with this brands passenger capacity. I went to swim practice and picked up 8 kids. I never upgraded anything on my car. I think the factory installed parts are satisfactory. However, I would like to take a reciprocating saw and cut a new moonroof in the car of mine but it seems like too much work. I wish moonroofs were standard.
