Land Rover is a British brand of predominantly four-wheel drive, off-road capable vehicles, owned by multinational car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover, since 2008 a subsidiary of India's Tata Motors. JLR currently builds Land Rovers in Brazil, China, India, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom.

Over the course of the past five decades, the full-size 2019 Land Rover Range Rover has evolved from an off-road workhorse to a refined, ultra-luxury SUV. It has retained its off-road prowess—in fact, its high-tech rock-crawling gear would put the O.G. Range Rover to shame. Ritzy exterior styling makes the Range Rover one of the most flashy options on four wheels, especially when optioned up with one of the insane available paint jobs, one of which adds more than $14,000 to the price of the already eye-wateringly expensive long-wheelbase SV Autobiography model. The cabin of this status symbol is decked out in fine materials, filled with tons of technology, and provides spacious and eminently comfortable seating for up to five passengers.

Product Reviews:

Numerous problems with turbo not engaging. Several trips to dealership for "computer resets" etc. ** from the sales/service folks. Still left hanging in traffic with accelerator pressed, no response, then kick in and thrown back in seat. Most dangerous vehicle ever. Horns continuously blowing because I won't "go" at stop lights. Random overhead lights come on for no reason. If your brakes get close to 50% worn, you must replace the rotors! So I'm about $1k into brakes at 34000 miles. Pretty is all its got going for it. Place that sold it to me for 41k offered me 31k 10000 miles later. And it still won't accelerate! Waiting on recall or to invoke the Lemon Law. Land rover service is so far behind BMW as to be in another category altogether. The L for luxury actually stands for Lemon when it comes to Evoque! I want my $$$ back!

This is our fourth Range Rover purchase, and our last. At only five months old it has had three software patches applied (some of the patches have taken 4-6 hours to download, last time my car was in service for three days). Today, the electronic screen froze again, but never reset after turning off and on, which meant no Bluetooth, no radio, no back up cameras, no navigation, no climate, nothing, just a frozen screen). I was told that ALL models from Land Rover are having epic failures in this area and it will be at least two weeks before the new patch is released, and could take a day of service to download it and apply it and so many people will need to have this software update done. Why has Land Rover not been proactive in contacting owners to let them know about this problem? I’m sorry, but spending 120,000 for a car, even spending 20k, deserves far better communication from corporate. I asked the service manager if sales associates are now warning all new buyers of the complete failure of software electronics, he said they started this week. He also indicated he is receiving a half dozen calls a day about frozen screens, SIM card failures, etc and we just have to wait for the fourth update to be rolled out... hopefully in the next two weeks but they do not know when. Shame on Land Rover for the lack of communication or acknowledgment of an epic failure, which has been going on for a long while given the reviews in the past year. According to the service manager the Vevlars are a disaster.Their answer was the electronic control panel is not necessary. We backed up before without cameras, we can pull off on the side of the road to call someone, so you don’t need Bluetooth, and you don’t need the navigation system because you can use your phone, and you do not need your radio, or fine tune climate in the rear... all true points, but at over a 100,000 dollars for a luxury car you expect those things to be working on a regular basis. We were planning on ordering a ‘19 Range Rover as another car, but now we will not. This is our last Range Rover.

While driving home on a very cold night, the seat heater in our 2003 Discovery burned a hole in the driver's side heater. Research shows that this is not the first time that this has happened to Discovery owners. We bought the car new and I loved it until now. I called the Land Rover National Headquarters and was told that they would look into it.

Land Rover will help all of your daily needs and more. Trust me on this. I'm a proud owner of a Land Rover and so is my best friend. It has the best features like the heated seats. I'm very happy with the car.

I just bought a new 2011 Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE. And on the day I was supposed to pick up the vehicle, I was told that those vehicles do not come with floor mats. I have to buy one. I was shocked and asked the sales rep (very pleasant and helpful), how such an expensive vehicle come without floor mats. The cheapest Toyota offers that. After a while, I got a call that the manager will put complimentary cheap floor mats, not the original floor mats. Or I could get the original one at factory price. The problem is, in the invoice I got, it was not stated that the car comes without floor mats. And I do have to start the expenses before I enter the vehicle. Does such an expensive car really come without floor mats?

Range Rover, less than a year old, was broadsided by a red light runner (no injuries). Eleven months later, it's still in the shop being repaired due to delayed parts shipments, wrong parts sent, and complete lack of interest by Land Rover in any customer assistance.

It's flat out amazing. The s and r series are awesome. They are of high quality and design. Also recommend the a series as they have back up rear cameras, automatic breaks and wifi. Outstanding. Every single detail is beyond perfect. The leather throws in luxurious class combined with state of the art tech. Also the paint finishes, tinted windows and turbo are grey. I got a wheel drive and traction emergency roadside assistance, first aid kit, concealed storage, gps tracking, beats audio system, and hyper LED headlamps. Also, most Rovers have a enough room for a small family of 5. It's roomy and comfortable for all to enjoy perfect for road trips and family outings.

Omg omg omg... I'll be honest with everyone, they are nice looking cars but whatever you do... DON'T and I mean don't waste your money on a Range Rover. I bought one and took care of it like it was one of my child. These cars are horrible, the maintenance on them is non-stop. I mean these cars are garbage and the service fees are wow, I mean you can spend almost the cost of the car in two years of maintenance. My truck was worth almost 20,000 dollars and in the end I took it to the dealer and handed them the keys after it broke down and I swear to you I told them "this is my car abs, this is the keys to it and this is the title" and gave it to them and walked out.As much as it hurted letting it go cause of the money I spend but in the end it was a relief, Range Rover is a piece of **. Excuse my language but please think twice before buying a Range Rover, the car will put you in big debt. Oh Lord I can tell you so much about my truck it will take me days explaining it, and I swear to you it's not just me. I have a family member and also a friend that are crying worse than me. Please please whatever you do... DON'T BUY A RANGE ROVER.

Many reviews on this site of problems with the infotainment system. This is a known problem with Range Rover and Velar. I have had very weak digital radio signal in my 2017 Evoque, considerable interference on FM radio, phone drops, and forget about getting reliable service between the phone/USB/Bluetooth and playing music. Press a song in the playlist and another appears! Crackling speakers during robust music and album artwork all mixed up between artists. Frozen screeching screen! All fine on the phone when connecting to other cars! There is a disconnect between the touchscreen and the IMC (the computer under your seat). All software updates have failed to fix the problem. How is Range Rover getting away with not doing a recall? AVOID until they sort it!

For everyone who owns a Land Rover, listen up! We all know that Land Rovers are high maintenance! It doesn't matter if you have a 1990 Defender or a 2015 LR4. It will eventually fail in some way, shape or form! With that said, you have to treat them like gold. If you're one of those Soccer moms - with all due respect, that needs to jump in the car four or five times a day to run errands with the A/C blasting in the middle of the summer, then maybe this isn't the vehicle for you. Land Rovers are like Ferraris. You have to constantly be on top of them, know when the vehicle breaks before it does! Keep money in savings and always be prepared! With that said I recently purchased a 2001 Discovery 2 in mint condition! Only 111k on the OD. First thing I did was look under the carriage - Hmm, no leaks. Looked under the hood - no leaks. Everything was nice, clean and looked new! Checked the oil - it was so clean you could drink it! I thought what's the catch? Took it for a test drive. Ran perfect except for every stop I could hear the airbag compressor blowing air! Ok ,no biggie. I bought it. Next day drove it to work. Halfway to work, bam. Yep the three amigos come on! ABS,TC, and Downhill Assist. Ok, I'll check it after work! Kept driving about a mile - engine makes big noise. Check engine light comes on! Only for a sec then off. Hmm... That's weird. Go about another mile - bang again. What the... Go about another mile, then vehicle just dies while driving on a heavy street doin' 55 in a 45. Quickly, I pulled safely off the road into a CVS Pharmacy. Now late for work, I let it sit for a minute. Started right up - was able to get to work! Next day, took it to my mechanic who is really familiar with Euro cars. He happens to own a Jag! After computer reads 6 possible causes, we found a short in the crank shaft solenoid! $350.00 US later, vehicle ran fine! If I would have taken it to a dealer or Land Rover, it would have been about $1600.00 US and they probably would have fixed the wrong thing! I have recently put new rear airbags. Bought them online for less than $200.00 and had my cousin installed them. Now the vehicle drives like a Cadillac with no lights on! Now I know not everyone has a cousin that is a master mechanic especially owning three Toyota Land Cruisers and a lifted Samuri! But do your homework. Land Rovers are notorious for having electrical problems! If anything gets wet, corroded, dirty, do the best you can - always keep it clean, free of mud, dirt, snow etc... And I have learned if one little thing goes, it makes ten others go as well, so find out for sure if you can exactly what the issue is and then the others will probably disappear as well! Land Rover dealers especially will ** you for your money! And probably never fix what's really wrong! Good Luck and God bless!! Hope this helps.
