Land Rover Sport is a big vehicle but the MPG is lacking. This car can literally fit 8 people and room is not a problem. Lots of features. Rugged. Built to last. It comes with all the latest technology. Comes with bluetooth and cruise control. It has all the gadgets you need including GPS to get around. Also, I got bigger rims and all-season and weather tires because I live in a snow area of the United States.

The brakes wear warning came on at 27100 km. I drive mostly highway and I am very light on the brakes, so when I saw the warning I ignored and thought it is false alarm. A week later, light disappeared. Drove for another week, warning brake light came on again. Kept driving, but the light stayed on. By that time I had 28000 km, so I decided to take it to my local garage and let him check the brakes.I was told that the rear brake pads are completely gone and rotors were rusted, so I asked if this is normal and mechanic answer was NO WAY. He explained that the front brakes do most of the work and to have rear brakes completely worn out is extremely unusual. He went on to say that they must have been faulty brakes. I called the dealer which is Thornhill Land Rover and talked to the service manager Sandro who told me that this is normal and depends on my style of driving, in other words SOL.I called Land Rover Canada after spending 20 min on the phone with some dim light lady. She decided after consulting with someone else that it is wear and there is nothing they can do for me. So I am sorry to say that after driving BMW for 15 years switching to Land Rover Discovery 2016 was the biggest mistake. My previous BMW all of them I drove to 65000 km and never replaced or seen brake lights come on. For all of you who are thinking or considering buying this car save your money and headache and stay away. Its a lemon and neither the company nor the dealers care.

The variety of models is great. Land Rover lets you choose the car that right for you that fix your spending budget they have on the most perfect update models of the car. The features and appearance are one of the best things about a car, and the fact that you can get the possibility to design your own car is amazing and it seems pretty cool being able to upgrade your vehicle/car. It has space for the whole family but it would really depend how big the family is. It can fit in any normal family at 4-5 but not really a family of 8-9.

WHY I WOULD NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER RANGE ROVER SPORT. I have issue after issue with my problem Range Rover which I purchased new 2.5 years ago and has only traveled 52000 km. Including: Faulty Electronic Dash - This used to go blank so I had to stop the car, turn off, lock the doors so it would reset and the dash would come back on. Gearbox shuddered bad when turning. Electronic park brake lever come out of it socket so didnt work. Been into service department several times for faulty airbags. Rear passenger grab handle on the roof pulled out of the socket. Seems like small issue but could have taken an eye out. This should be a safety recall issue on all Range Rovers. All of the above items have been agreed to be repaired under warranty although the grab handle took several arguments with Land Rover as they said it was a wear issue and is still waiting to be repaired. The carpet has started splitting on the side wall off the drivers side console. Land Rover/Jaguar Australia and Bruce Lynton Southport have said this is wear and tear. The carpet is like brand new with NO WEAR just a TEAR. Land Rover/Jaguar Australia have refused to cover this under warranty. Currently the service symbol comes on when you first start the car. I told Chris from Bruce Lynton about this issue 3 weeks ago but still waiting for a call when they can fit me in. The quality of my Range Rover has been appalling. You would expect when you are paying a lot of money for a luxury car you would get quality but unfortunately not with my Range Rover. Being such a new Range Rover and having So Many Issues I shudder to think what else is going to fail in the future. PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH YOUR FRIENDS AS I AM SURE YOU WOULDNT WANT THEM HAVING SAME HEADACHES.

I had purchased Land Rover Freelander 2 2.2D in Jan, 2013 from Mumbai and registered vehicle at Nagpur (Maharashtra State) India. As on date: I have clocked only 20,500 km after passage of three years (the vehicle is almost idle most of the time), against an average clocking of say 100,000km for a premium vehicle like Freelander, it has run only 20% of its desired (?) run, and still giving message of Reduced Engine Performance! Is that all that a premium segment vehicle can endure or perform??? I am astonished at the timing for giving such message. Trouble started the very next month when the standard warranty expires! Am surprised, rather shocked to understand this fact. It is very hard to even digest, since the vehicle is being kept, maintained in such good shape, and one fine morning, am seeing that it starts beeping. It was conveyed to me that the vehicle has developed restriction in the air pathway of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve due to carbon deposits caused as a by-product of combustion of fuel. My very contention is how it could happen when the vehicle is idle for most of the time, and, it was serviced, earlier at say 13,000km and it developed this problem at 20,000km (a service does not guarantee such problem within 7000km run over a period of one year, or was it not checked at that time?). It is not understandable, if the vehicle has seldom run, it could develop any problem within three years of its purchase! And after I take it to the Dealer, am handed INR 160,000 (approx USD 2500) estimate! For what??? Hopeless Service, irresponsive I would say, am yet to hear back till date.

From my perspective, Ive had far too many issues with this $55K SUV. I purchased the car from Land Rover (Lake Bluff) as a lightly driven dealer demo (approximately 2,500 miles on the odometer). Current mileage is 15K. Since buying the car Ive had it into the dealer for several small issues - trim on driver seat popped off, driver seat squeaking and noise, car stalled during a rain store due to water getting into turbo charger intake, driver side headlight burned out, seal around back hatch was damaged due to design of hatch (not covered by LR), under carriage splash guard broke while driving on snowy/icy Chicago toll way (not covered by LR). Not very impressive for a car that still smells new.Prior to this, I owned an LR2 for (3) years. Great car but I had a ton of issues with the AWD system, car was at the dealer multiple times for the same issue. LR finally agreed to pay to replace the entire AWD on my 4th or 5th visit. Constant leaking problems from rear of car. Paid $35K for this car. My first LR was a 1999 4.6 HSE. Loved this car but it also had tons of issues. Electrical, leaks, air ride system failure, airbags, engine leaks, interior (head liner), exhaust system, computer issues (heating/cooling), etc. - $76K vehicle. LR gave me $1,200 for a trade w/ 80K on the odometer.

I really enjoy SUVs and thats why I went to Land Rover in the first place. To get a nice, big reliable SUV. My SUV is the color black and it has a very sleek color. It is quite large but not too large that it is difficult to park. It is also very boxy but not in an ugly way. Overall I think the car looks great. The SUV can fit 8 people and still has room for bags, suitcases, grocery and JUST more leg room in general which makes it more comfortable for the passenger.

Range Rover Evoque - Car lost power on the highway going uphill. The dealership said I had a blown turbo charger and the car had 57k miles on it so it was not under warranty. $4k later & two weeks in the shop I have the car back and am nervous to drive it. Ive also had both front headlights blow out during a nasty snow storm & dealership had no idea why. Good thing that happened under warranty or else I would have had to pay. The car is dangerous and there should be a suit against Land Rover.

Land Rovers Range Rover is classy looking, fun to drive and a gorgeous vehicle. There are top of the line options available and comes in several colors. I prefer the white, such an eye catcher. I am thrilled with the looks of this vehicle. They are also available in standard and upgraded models. The upgrades are well worth the extra expenses to add to this vehicle. I love the options of heated seats and temperature controllers. This vehicle has lots of legroom and can seat numerous passengers very comfortably. I love the way you dont feel like you are sitting jumbled together. Also, manufacturer is easy to work with during the sale and maintenance process. Its well worth the money it costs to purchase. I would highly recommend this manufacturer and vehicle to anyone looking for this type of sub vehicle.

My cars headlights is broken and I was trying to get an appointment to get fix. I was told that theyre busy and a service supervisor will call. I waited all weekend but never got a call from them. I called again but told me that the earliest appt they can give me is July 3 which is about 3 weeks. I explained it to them that I need it so badly because this is my only way to get to work but Jenny said that she cant do anything earlier than July 3. For just a headlight, I need to wait 3 weeks!!! My car is a lease and I dont want anyone to just fix it and will end up messed up. And besides, when they were doing the sales talk to convince me to get a car from them, the sales rep advise me that for any problem its better to bring it to them, that they have the best service. Freaking BIG LIE!!! Land Rover has the WORST SERVICE EVER. I use to have a BMW and this is the BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER to switch to Land Rover. I pay my lease on time and I dont deserve this kind of service. My safety is compromised and because of all this disappointments and frustration I ended up having the headache and triggered my hypertension. THIS IS REALLY NOT FAIR!!! So whoever reads this review, you better think million times before you get a car from Land Rover!

The problems with this vehicle started with fit and finish issues within days of driving the new Land Rover Discovery off the dealer lot, that included a squeaky rear seat that took at least four separate visits to fix. Then the problems migrated to the rear liftgate interior panel that continually detached from the body hatch and hug down from one side. I have been back at least six times to fix this problem over a two year period. And each time they fix it and each time it falls apart again. Still no remedy. The best problem, at least for the service providers, has been the non-recall camshaft defect that has been known to Land Rover for some time (not counting the axle bearing failure, that was thankfully caught under warranty). This cam issue totally stopped the car. I finally took the Discovery to an independent garage and am now faced with a $2400 repair bill. Wait, no scratch that; an $11,000 bill. They decided I need a new engine, explaining the cam controller shattered with metal fragments going into the engine.Needless to say, I would not recommend Land Rover vehicles in general. It seems that when these two brands Land Rover-Jaguar, were purchased by an Indian investment company, Tata Motors, the legendary quality and durability was lost. The decision was made to introduce a variety of snappy looking consumer market-class models and trash the historic world-class reliability tradition. Remember all the old movies and newsreels with Land Rover busting through the jungles and mountain passes. Don’t try this too far from town. Trapped in the Outback in a new Discovery would be life threatening. There is a new Defender model, though I wouldn’t hold out much hope for that either - same build, parts and management. Land Rover should have kept the name when they sold out to Tata.

I bought a 1999 HSE from a guy in NW Houston. He was only too happy to unload this ** on me for $3300. It drives great, it blows cold AC, but since Ive had it, Ive spent nearly twice what I paid for it. First, the key fob broke. It cost $700+ for them to send me this ancient looking control two weeks later. The sun roof track broke. They told me it would cost $2800 to replace the parts. Later, it was $2900 for brakes and shocks, and then, the last straw was $3000 for the catalytic converter. The back story: On one of my wallet siphoning trips to RR North Houston, I had a head lamp reflector lamp come off and a fuel issue that caused my check engine light to come on. I paid $1300 for that, but the week later, the reflector came off and the check engine light came back on. They told me the code was new on the check engine soon, and to bring the truck in so they can see if I had done something to the light which is really only a snap in.Wait, what?! They told me that I had to pay almost $300 for a whole light assembly, but what they really did was snapped in a reflector? Range Rover has a monopoly in the city because not many people can repair them. They treat you any kind of way because they know people almost have to rely on them for service. That really sucks. When I left today to get my reflector looked at, one guy told me it would be in on Monday, June 25. Then I got another call that said it would be in in a few weeks. Im going to do my best to trade this vehicle in and for as long as I live, I never ever want to have dealings with the lying, cheating, stealing Range Rover or their product again.

Ive owned a Land Rover Velar 2018 less than a month. After 2 weeks of ownership the computer infotainment system failed. I couldnt defrost my window, heat my car, defrost my window for 15 minutes of terrifying-driving. My husband is paralyzed and has a hard time regulating his temperature. This was horrible, as he was shivering all the way home. Just a horrible experience after just spending $67k. Im told by my service adviser that others just pull over, get out, lock the car, and let it sit for 20 mins. Some go shopping, run errands. Then it re-boots. That doesnt work for me if Im driving at night from my moms house where it is more rural, like I was when this happened. I like the car, but will absolutely not pay this price for a car when I only have 500 miles on this car, owned for 2 weeks and caused a horrible experience the first week. Its pretty scary when a lot of your controls are operated by this software where they dont have a fix?We researched the UK forum after this horrific experience and realized this an ongoing issue in the UK. Why wasnt this disclosed to us? Im so upset for spending the money on a car that has been sitting in the service department and they rented me a car that is not comparable at all. Im still paying on this car and put a huge down payment on this car. Very disappointed. I have owned at least 8 Range Rovers with my family and Im so disappointed with this experience. I have definitely contacted RR Corporate.

The variety of cars I browsed was overwhelming. There was so much to choose from, and they each were very affordable and tailored to my needs. I had a hard time choosing which to get. The Land Rover that I ended up buying was a very beautiful car. It was sleek, shiny and not too big but was well equipped in the passenger capacity. It could easily fit six grown adults very comfortably and it was guaranteed a safe choice. Also, Its features were all wonderful. It included a gps, radio and state of the art car alarm. It had features implemented so that I was able to add some of my electronic devices which include my iPod and satellite radio.

This is our fourth Range Rover purchase, and our last. At only five months old it has had three software patches applied (some of the patches have taken 4-6 hours to download, last time my car was in service for three days). Today, the electronic screen froze again, but never reset after turning off and on, which meant no Bluetooth, no radio, no back up cameras, no navigation, no climate, nothing, just a frozen screen). I was told that ALL models from Land Rover are having epic failures in this area and it will be at least two weeks before the new patch is released, and could take a day of service to download it and apply it and so many people will need to have this software update done. Why has Land Rover not been proactive in contacting owners to let them know about this problem? I’m sorry, but spending 120,000 for a car, even spending 20k, deserves far better communication from corporate. I asked the service manager if sales associates are now warning all new buyers of the complete failure of software electronics, he said they started this week. He also indicated he is receiving a half dozen calls a day about frozen screens, SIM card failures, etc and we just have to wait for the fourth update to be rolled out... hopefully in the next two weeks but they do not know when. Shame on Land Rover for the lack of communication or acknowledgment of an epic failure, which has been going on for a long while given the reviews in the past year. According to the service manager the Vevlars are a disaster.Their answer was the electronic control panel is not necessary. We backed up before without cameras, we can pull off on the side of the road to call someone, so you don’t need Bluetooth, and you don’t need the navigation system because you can use your phone, and you do not need your radio, or fine tune climate in the rear... all true points, but at over a 100,000 dollars for a luxury car you expect those things to be working on a regular basis. We were planning on ordering a ‘19 Range Rover as another car, but now we will not. This is our last Range Rover.

I bought the new Land Rover Disco in June 2018 and it has been at the dealership for more than half the time of my ownership. This is my first JLR vehicle and very disappointed. Issue with Diesel engine jerking and acts like it is stalling every morning after cold start for almost a minute - it will not let me accelerate. Big safety issue. Then there is the Infotainment system - it just hangs and the rearview camera is choppy initially - objects suddenly appear dangerously close when the camera refreshes.Dropped it off at dealer to get these issues checked - they took 1 month to supposedly resolve the issues - however they found the windshield to be leaking (on a 4 month old car). This took almost 1.5 months to arrive (heated windshield) from UK. After installing it, they found none of the electronics will power on - apparently water damage was found in both electronic controllers and they are currently replacing them. After 3.5 months I still did not get my vehicle back. With the water damage I am seriously concerned about mold and breathing it continuously through the AC system. Its a safety hazard. This is ridiculous and just bad quality control. Its a Safety and Health Hazard. JLR needs to ditch the buggy infotainment system - at some point a good business needs to realize when to cut the losses and switch to a different option.

I leased a new 2017 Range Rover sport dynamic. I absolutely love the vehicle!! I have owned many many cars, I have a lot to compare to. Expensive sports cars, luxury vehicles blah blah... I love this vehicle!! However, I will never lease or buy another one again. Unfortunately, I was in a collision not my fault but that doesn’t really matter. What matters is - It took 6 months for the dealer to repair my vehicle because Land Rover did not have the parts available. Can I remind everyone it’s a 2017 fairly new car. The parts should be readily available!! 6 months no vehicle is a long time. It was suggested to me to contact Land Rover directly with regard to the needed parts. I contacted them. They took all the info and passed it on to a claim agent.I was contacted for additional info and they let me know my parts are on back order. Weeks and weeks later I find out one of the parts - a wiring harness doesn’t exist and the factory has to make one!! That took 2 months. In the meantime calls not returned - no response to emails and when I received a response it was patronizing and totally unhelpful. Never in a million years would I have thought a company like Land Rover would not have parts available for their newer model vehicles. I’m extremely disappointed in the way they handled the situation. Reputable companies are all about customer service and customer satisfaction. They failed big time!

Luckily there was an opening in traffic for me to pull into the side of the road. The same thing happen last week when my wife was driving my son to the doctor and A SEMI TRUCK NARROWLY AVOIDED RUNNING INTO MY WIFE AND CHILD BECAUSE OF THE SAME ISSUE! My wife doesnt want this car, I dont want this car, I feel like my family is not safe in it anymore and I honestly dont know what path to take.I love(d) the Land Rover brand and weve owned an LR3, LR4, and a Range Rover Sport. We were excited to experience this vehicle and it has led to nothing but heartache. I believe Land Rover owes me a new, safe vehicle. Especially after being a loyal customer for the last 7 years.

After owning this 2022 Land Rover Defender I have problems. The camera have a red box around the screen and my backup sensors and front sensors do not work. I have to bring in to the dealership but I’m on vacation in Cabo San Lucas for 4 months and there’s the problem. Won’t reimburse me on trip protection because the car is drivable. The closest dealership is 1056 miles away 1 way. Also there are a lot of noises coming from the driver headliner by the grab handle. If you pull down the noise goes away. In the back also there was a noise and I put some tape on the problem area and so far the noise has not came back. You would think on a $91,000 car customer service would help you out better.

The best brands that the car dealership has. They have different models in color and the colors are different from any other brand. It is good for the car. The appearance is good enough to show off to friends and family. The upgrade of this car is better if you only like to pay more for the car and it has better quality in the car. The brand has enough room for a whole family and for friends too.

Last year, when I decided to buy a new car, I was in a dilemma, but my choice was Disco LR4. I watched a lot of models, among other things I considered the new Mercedes GLC, however, the new LR4 is love at first sight. I choose version with a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine with 180 hp, as well as a nine-speed ZF automatic transmission. When it comes to the fuel economy Im very satisfied, but when it comes to the acceleration Im not so satisfied. We can not say that this is sports car, although it has a label Sport. But for me speed isnt the primary, so I cant take this as a major objection to the model. All in all, this model has my recommendation, so if you are looking for a roomy SUV with robust design then this is the right choice for you, and for me this is definitely the number one SUV on the market. It seems to me that Land Rover has never faster announced a successor of some model. I read that a new LR5 will be presented by the end of this year. I do not know what to think, except that this is not confirmed rumors, because I cant see what can they improve with new version, except some more powerful powertrain options. I have been a lease holder with the Larchmont, New Rochelle Land Rover Deal
I have been a lease holder with the Larchmont, New Rochelle Land Rover Dealership since 2003. The first lease I had was a 2003 Freelander which I returned in 2006. In March 2006, I leased a used 2005 LR3. Although this vehicle is considered to be of great prestige, I have had nothing but problems with this particular model. The first fault that I noticed with this vehicle occurred after the first four months. The vehicle stalled on me while driving it at 70 miles an hour. If I would not have known to place the gear shift lever in neutral and then turn the engine back on, I cannot imagine what could have happened to me and my family. The car stalled a second time soon after and I decided to bring it in for service at Larchmont, New Rochelle and I was informed that it was a problem with the suspension module. Although the problem was resolved, these incidents left me doubtful while driving the LR3. Once again, the vehicle stalled on the highway and again I was left to move the gear shift lever to neutral to turn the engine on. I called Land Rover of Larchmont and I was asked to bring the vehicle in and I was told that the module was defected and had to be replaced again. The vehicle is at the beginning of its life with only 18900 miles. I have experienced other problems such as, an electrical problem which prevented me from opening the vehicle using the key remotes, apparently due to electrical wiring becoming wet from water entering the vehicle. The week after again another problem, the air conditioner was not working. The driver side was blowing out cool air and the passenger side was blowing out hot air. As you can read from the numerous incidents I have listed above, I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle. I am asking for a resolution to my ongoing problems with this particular vehicle such as a replacement truck with minimal problems and or an early termination of the lease. I have been a good customer to Land Rover, always keeping my lease agreement and I have never missing a payment in return I expect Land Rover to accommodate me with a quality product for the price I am paying.

I purchased my Discovery Sport 5 years ago and the moment payments were complete and warranty was up the timing chain broke, damaged the valves and failed the engine entirely. This incident happened a few days ago on the highway (clearly safety issues here!) and I was lucky enough that I could pull over and stay in one piece. Vehicle was towed and dealership first told me in order to replace the valves and fix everything it costs 10,000 $. They then called again and said they dont even feel comfortable with that because it can fail again so the entire engine needs to be rebuild therefore cost will come to 20,000$!!Now to be clear, I have serviced this car year every year (64000 miles currently aka well below 100k miles) since purchase and have completed all the recommended replacements and services with the dealership asked me to do since 2015. In fact the question now is why at each service visit multiple parts had to be replaced (costing anywhere from 500-4000) and now at 5 year mark the entire engine fails!!! Do your research. I looked this up and there is a lawsuit in 2018, same incident right after the 5 mark warranty. The customers car shut down when the customer was driving (in NJ).Company should be paying 100% for this repair or simply buy this junk back from me and give me a new car. I am in a back and forth situation with the dealership. I called the company and they opened the claim for me but the person on the phone had the audacity to ask me well I am not sure what you want us to do here. They also havent bothered following up. No one made any comment about the safety either!! As of now it is clear to me the company does not back their own products and they failed to inform the customers about the issue or recalling it when they knew very well timing chain has ongoing issues. More importantly safety is not their concerns at all!!! This matter will be escalated on my part! Dont buy their product!!! Choose wisely and do your research. I will be happy to spread the word on every social media platform so customers are aware and know their safety is at risk!

Land Rover Discovery Sport. Where do I start? Ill start by saying that that this is a comparatively inexpensive vehicle built by a luxury car company (mine was $50k compared to $80K) and the TATA company just cant do it. The 4 cylinder turbo is zippy once it gets going and the car is fun to drive, holding like glue in the inclement weather. But thats where the joy stops. The car has experienced problems since 150 miles on the clock. At the time of this writing Ive owned the car for 6 months (4500 miles) and its been in for repair, literally more than 3 of those months, 12+ weeks. Im going on my 9th straight week in the shop it right now. Multiple check engine lights (that was the first), transmission electronically leaving the gear (unable to duplicate), seat quality/fit problems, screen and radio malfunctions (reported software updates) brake wear warning, more rattles than my 1997 British convertible sports car coming from everywhere. This car even has a rattle mod that requires disassembly of the interior down to the sheet metal, cutting and re-welding body panels. My out the door price for the car was $52,500 in November. The dealer has offered my $45,000 in mid May and to get away from the total aggravation, Im taking the $7500 hit and NEVER going back to Jaguar/Land Rover again. A $1250 loss for every month Ive owned it and a $2500 per month cost for the time I was able to operate it, and Im happy to get away. Had I looked into the internet user groups, I would have seen all the problems owners are having worldwide. Do your research before jumping into this. The badge means nothing. This is not the Land Rover of the Queen.

I was driving my 2013 Range Rover Evoque earlier today and the steering failed and it started to makes a screeching noise. Fortunately no one was hurt but I was very disturbed by feedback I have received from x3 Land Rover garages. Each from my description of the fault has diagnosed it as a steering rack failure. One mechanic confirmed that this is a common fault and Land Rover recalled 2012 models to rectify this. I have been advised that there is a 3-4 week lead-time to fix due to a backlog in parts indicating that there is a high failure rate and the cost will be approximately £3,000 for a car that has only done 45,000 miles and 6 months out of warranty. I am in the process of ordering the parts but wondered if anyone else has seen this issue as I think it is highly dangerous and should be investigated. I have filed a complaint to the Driving Standards Agency, curious to see if anyone else has experienced this problem.

The fact that they are endangering me and fiancée’s life by letting me drives a car that is seriously defective. Causes me to question the intentions of the companies risk management practices and their exposure in the event of an accident. I have made several telephone complaints throughout the years and have taken the vehicle in for various repairs but more importantly it is the engine/turbocharger issue that endangers my fiancée’s life when the vehicle is not operating properly. It will not accelerate and I will have to turn off the engine and restart the car. This is very unsafe and has been in the shop for over 44 days over a 24 months period. This was a brand new Range Rover Evoque -2013.As stated in the Motor Vehicle Warranty and Lemon Law we notified Land Rover of our intentions to have them buy back the car. Case Number #**. We began the request for a repurchase from Land Rover for the purchase or buyback for our 2013 Range Rover Evoque under the California Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. They feel that they be didn’t have enough attempts that make the value of safety of car worthy of this act. They did offer a goodwill gesture of $1500 however by offering the money; they are acknowledging that there are numerous issues with this 2013 Range Rover Evoque. After being in the shop numerous times for Turbo Charger/Engine issues, we again took it in for service again in February 12, 2015, we didnt get it back until February 20th, 2015 and it will still need to go back to the shop. Mile 29924 (7 Days). The check engine light is on again, and it’s lacking power, and is red lining at 6000 RPM before it shifts gears. Joe went on test drive with the technician and the service writer to show them what he means. The technicians stated to Joe with the service writer in the car that something wasnt right with the turbocharger and that the engine was working too hard which is why it was causing it to shift at such a high RPM, however the Land Rover agent, is trying to say it’s something else. In reviewing the most recent paperwork, I don’t see why it would take 7 days to fix a bulb, which is how the latest service repair reads, nothing about Joe going on the test drive, and showing the red lining of the RPMs before it shift. They stated in the service contract that it was the thermostat regulator is not performing, they needed to do an update. There is no documentation that was witnessed by the Service Writer and the Technician that Joe went on the test drive and showed them it was red lining in the report or the notes. Which leads me to questions how truthful and forthcoming they have been with writing all the other service reports in Land Rovers favor. In Summation - THE LEMON LAW AND WHAT IS A REASONABLE NUMBER OF REPAIR ATTEMPTSAccording The Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (beginning with Civil Code section 1790) we qualify for the lemon law and protection for a newly leased vehicle, when a dealer is unable to meet the terms express written warranty after a reasonable number of repair attempts, the manufacture is required to promptly replace the vehicle or return the purchase price of the lessee or buyer.SECTION (B-1) This is an UNSAFE vehicle and in the event I cannot accelerate through traffic or end up in an accident because of the poor quality of the engine and number of attempts to replace the turbo engine/charger is now going on its third repair. And it is currently back in for service repair again (February 12, 2015 5 days and counting) with the check engine light on. According to the mechanic that did a ride along with Joe **, it’s back in the shop because the engines is working overtime, and redline shifts at 6000 RPM, again making it unsafe to drive. The dealership since then knowingly put me back into a car that had numerous Turbocharger and engine problems and therefore doesn’t consider my life and safety to be a concern for them with this many engine attempts to fix a bad Engine/Turbocharger issue. If I get into an accident because of the lack of power/engine/turbocharger, and get T-boned by on-coming traffic and end up in the hospital, only then they would consider purchasing back the car? Or by then I could be dead, so then I guess they would win because they wouldnt have to buy back the car and just have a lawsuit on their hands for wrongful death.SECTION (B -2) within the first 18,000 miles or 18 months these problems are still happening and the same problem like engine/turbocharger issues where I cannot accelerate to move out of oncoming traffic can cause death or serious bodily injury, and has been subject to repair two or more times by the manufacturer! Are they waiting for me to get in a horrible accident and then I would qualify for the LIFE THREATENING incident?SECTION (B-3) The vehicle is out of service because of the number of repairs and problems this 2013 Range Rover Evoque is having and although the manufacturer has made a number of attempts, the car is still very problematic. This vehicle has a cumulative total of more than 30 days since the delivery of the vehicle; it is actually now going on 44 days and counting. Despite repeated attempts at repair by Land Rover Service, the 2013 Range Rover Evoque still remains defective and therefore there has been a failure and refusal to conform the product to its express warranty under the law.In closing, and just a personal question to whoever is reading this…in looking over the services records, would you let your 16 year old son or daughter drive this vehicle? Would you be comfortable buying this car from me knowing the service/repair history I have attached. Can you honestly say you would feel comfortable driving this car yourself?

Unfortunately, since the time I bought this car (end of September 2018) I had many issues with my new Land Rover Velar 2019. First issues were mostly electrical (screen not working, error messages while being stopped at a red light, back camera not working, etc.). I took the car in two opportunities and they explained these cars usually need software updates. I thought I should not waste my time taking the car to the dealer but did it…. I also had a weird noise with the brakes. They had to change them. Then I had to take the car for the Annual Service. They checked everything and in less than a month, my engine light was on! Took the car AGAIN and they said it was another engine software (not sure why no one update this when I took the car for my annual service?). But after taking the car 2 times, in less than a month my engine light went on AGAIN!! I was so upset and frustrated. The dealer suggested me that I contact Land Rover Customer Service for a Re-Purchase, as it’s obvious to me I have a defective car… After talking to someone for 38 minutes, she asked me many questions about my car, even if I have already paid for the car which we did, she simply said my case didn’t apply for re-purchase. She didn’t explain why or what was the criteria. Her only “solution” was for me to keep taking my car to the dealer. What type of solution is this? I asked to talk to her supervisor. She said he would call in the next 5 hours which he didn’t. He called passed the 5 hours and left a message saying I should follow this with the customer service representative, like ignoring my request of talking to him….I’m EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH LAND ROVER CUSTOMER SERVICE. My advice is: if you want a car that works and is reliable, PLEASE don’t buy this car. It’s gorgeous but it’s not reliable and customer service will not help you at all. They will just send you to the dealer and you will waste your time and money taking the car for service many times.

My Range Rover sport 2013 was the best until I had to do maintenance and there is when the nightmare starts. A car with only 40.000 miles on. The car is now 60.000 miles and the coolant problem still not solved. After spent so much money to get scammed by these people I still need to put coolant at least once a week, ignore the coolant light on because it can never be fixed. These cars are popular for having coolant leaking problems but doesn’t matter how much they charge and you are willing to pay you will only get scammed. They will not fix your car or admit that they are basically taking your money for the same thing over and over again. Took my car to 5 times to get this problem solved, spent thousands of dollars for absolutely nothing. Just stress. And they have the audacity to call you next day to say: Are you happy with our services? Oh no, I’m sorry for all the trouble we may cause to you. Maybe we can fix this issue with a new car!!! No. Thanks! Every time I took my car to get “fixed” they loan me a newer model and all drive like cheap cars. I should listened to friends who deal with the same problems with their brand new Land Rovers and should never ignore all the bad reviews they have. Now I’m absolutely ready to sell it and get far far away from any type of Land Rover or Jaguar brand cars. I absolutely don’t recommend Land Rover cars. Horrible experience!

I got my first new Land Rover, a Freelander 2 TD4 manual, in 2011. I’ve read the stories, I know about the unreliability. Consequently, I was a bit surprised that it took 18 months and 50,000 miles before an engine warning light came on. Land Rover were out within half an hour, diagnosed it as a faulty sensor and got it fixed right away. At just over 2 year and about 75,000 miles, it came up with a message that there was a rear diff ECU fault which was quickly fixed under warranty. At 90,000 miles I passed it to a colleague who has taken it over 165,000 miles and counting and he’s needed a new rear diff and it’s first clutch. He’s still running it and has no plans to replace it. I don’t think that’s at all bad; perhaps all those who write one star reviews might see it differently?I then moved on to a 12,000 mile and one year old version of the same thing. Over the next year and 35,000 miles, it went about its business with just one odd fault - every week or so, the car would stutter for half a moment under power; nothing dangerous, or even annoying, just a characteristic really. I complained about it anyway and when Land Rover admitted that they had no fix, they made a generous offer to subsidise a swap for another FL2, but a top of the range SD4 automatic this time. That car was a complete gem and loved it to bits, without a single fault over the following 12 months/35,000 miles. However, I had a complete rush of blood to the head and stupidly traded in for a brand new Discover 4. Surely, this money pit had to be my undoing? Nope. The nicest car I’d has to date, with the only “fault” being squeaky rear brakes that were easily fixed. Unfortunately, Land Rover then introduced the nasty new Discovery 5 and I panicked. I had wanted to keep the Discovery 4 for a while, but decided to buy one of the last new D4’s before it was too late. Unfortunately, it was already too late. But, I did manage to trade my 1 year (and, you’ve guessed it) 35,000 mile old D4 in for a beautiful green 12,000 mile old D4 HSE Luxury...Which was very nice. However, after adding another 20-25,000 miles or so, it broke down. This time it was off the road for a month while they had to diagnose and replace a, very dead, high pressure fuel pump. It’s a big, body off, job to replace. Very expensive and very time consuming, no doubt, but why should I care? It was all done under warranty and they kept me in nice loaners too. When I spoke to Land Rover about the amount of time it took, they completely blew me away! They asked me what my dream Land Rover was and they then subsidised an extraordinarily large amount of money to make a top of the range Range Rover vaguely affordable and weapons grade “man maths” bridged the remaining gap!8 Months and 24,000 miles later, I’m chuffed to bits with my Range Rover SDV8 and wouldn’t part with it for any other car in the world. All being well, I’d like to hang on the this until well past 250,000 miles. In conclusion, the cars have been brilliant, the build quality has been superb and the reliability has been well up to the mark. Where things have gone wrong, Land Rover have been first rate and have gone above and beyond in restoring my faith in them. I have no wish to go elsewhere.

I bought a Range Rover Sport several months ago. 24 hours after my purchase while on a family trip, I started experiencing software issues. The radio, internet, several areas of the dashboard went blank and no Bluetooth connectivity. The answer was to do a software update at the dealership once I returned. The local dealership has been very nice and supportive applying these updates now monthly, but now we have given up. Since these updates would correct the problem for about 24 hours, it was not worth the time or effort. It is a product issue. My issues are now daily and extremely frustrating. The dealership helped me as much as they could and had to refer me to their Customer Support folks out of NJ. I hope you NEVER have to interact with the team out of NJ. The Range Rover team out of NJ are the worst support team that I have ever experienced. They denied further assisting me and basically stated by email that I need to wait for a new update to resolve my issue. There is no ETA on this issue being resolved. No call back to discuss this over the phone. I have multiple emails and calls into my rep. trying to further discuss my issues over the phone. I have been very patient and nice, but now I am done and now sharing this experience with others PRIOR to their purchase or support others out there with the same situation.

I was able to get a rep by hitting the airbag option, who told me they knew nothing and called the dealer. A call to the dealer yielded no information as they knew nothing either. The dealer said, We got a letter too but dont know any more information.. The trouble is I dont want to be at the end of a list with 50k other cars on it to get this problem fixed. Land Rover has a variety of styles to meet everyones needs. They bring a more rugged 4x4 type feel to a stylish innovative vehicle and you no longer have to sacrifice style to drive a 4x4. Excellent stereo systems come standard and the air shocks that were on the car provide a awesome ride. Theres a leather interior, and plenty of plug-in ports for phones etc. And the sun roof/moon roof is great. There are plenty of options for everyone from the businessman/businesswoman to the avid 4x4 enthusiast. There are also options from stereo to heated seats. I have twins and a 9-year-old so I had to have plenty of room! This was the best vehicle! Can handle the double stroller and all the football/baseball equipment from my oldest.

I sent LR videos of the issues with this vehicle as well, but they have not responded. I am considering delivering this vehicle back to the nearest dealership and walking away from the problems.

Our Range Rover Sport 2015 with 47,000kms under 3 years old goes into limp mode and JLR service says it needs a new engine. Although still under warranty they refuse to replace the engine, firstly they say we put the wrong oil in it...this is tested and proven incorrect. Next they say warranty is refused because you cannot supply the entire service history (we purchased vehicle from an auction). We finally track down the original owner and provide the entire service history which is in the perimeters of warranty terms. Still JLR press on for statutory declarations and proof of genuine parts. This goes on for 8 months while JLR try their hardest to squirm their way out of honouring the Warranty. After 8 long months without our vehicle and being treated with distain by JLR Customer Support we finally got a new engine which we were always entitled to. In summary nice comfortable car to drive but will Never buy another Range Rover or product from JLR...Pick up your game JLR, build vehicles that last and have a really good look at your customer service practices.

I bought a Range Rover that was pre certified with factory warranty and within just 8 months the Letters on the front and back of the car, as well as the hood vent and one light grill started flaking off, fading and turning different colors. I identified that this has been covered in the past from other dealerships but the dealer (South Bay Land Rover) and the Executive Liaison Peter **, were not helpful at all. I asked numerous times to speak with the CEO Ralf Speth to resolve this minor issue but Peter was unable to make that happen, as apparently customers are not important enough for him (the CEO) to call back. I did not want to go to Social Media but our experience has to be known to all so you can judge what company you want to do work with.Buyer beware when thinking about a vehicle from Land Rover as that are not good for their word (they werent for me) and they treat people differently. At the dealership and Company level I have been discriminated against and the dealership has a used car situation which this experience I will be posting soon on Social Media as well. This was such a minor issue for them and easily to fix but they chose to treat me differently than others have been treated and I just want to share my experience with you all. Think before you buy as the relationships with dealerships and companies make all the difference. Best of luck to you.

Since 2014 my Land Rover not only has caused me serious bodily injury, has been in service more than 10 x to present. 3 or more for the same issue. I have made multiple cases to corporate and several lemon law suits. I am at wits end. My kids and I are so scared to drive in the car because it continues to break down. They have done 10 or more updates, put in a new transmission, starter and the list goes on. It lunges forward, pops out of gear, shakes, vibrates, etc. The car is a safety hazard. The dealership agrees with me that the car has major problems and has not worked right since the beginning. All I want is to get my money back and give the car back. Corporate has not worked with me in any way.

Purchased Land Rover Discover 4 brand new with 8km on the clock. Attempted to drive home. Only made it 6km along the highway when the transmission failed. Land Rover were horrendous to deal with. Firstly asking if it could be driver error (it is an automatic!) then insisting on replacing the entire transmission against our wishes. Two weeks after the day of purchase and all along we refused in writing to accept the vehicle, yet Land Rover drove it to my place of employment and left it there. I had just signed up for a 5 year Lease so couldn’t get out of the contract without great financial penalty. So we were stuck with this lemon for 5 years and it has been so unreliable, the best it ever performed was when sitting on the back of a flat top tow truck. Suspension cracks, constant oil leaks, shudders at speed (really, really shudders!) breakdowns and clunking noises are all part of this heap of rubbish. Never again!

Many reviews on this site of problems with the infotainment system. This is a known problem with Range Rover and Velar. I have had very weak digital radio signal in my 2017 Evoque, considerable interference on FM radio, phone drops, and forget about getting reliable service between the phone/USB/Bluetooth and playing music. Press a song in the playlist and another appears! Crackling speakers during robust music and album artwork all mixed up between artists. Frozen screeching screen! All fine on the phone when connecting to other cars! There is a disconnect between the touchscreen and the IMC (the computer under your seat). All software updates have failed to fix the problem. How is Range Rover getting away with not doing a recall? AVOID until they sort it!

The built in tv in the headrest for my kids is perfect. Love how sleek and clean the look of this brand is. Theres always enough room for the kids as well as the groceries. The electrical system and suspension bags goes off while driving. This includes all electrical indicators (low coolant, HDC fault, cruise control, parking brake, fog lamp, check engine, seat belts, oil pressure, battery, air bags deploy, high beam indicator, and emergency flasher, suspension bags inflate and deflate). Brought it to Land Rover January 2014 and service advisor said everything was fine. Took it back on February 2014 with the same problem and when he turned on the ignition, the problems above occurred. We have been in contact almost on a weekly basis for an update. To date, they still have the car. He thinks it might be the instrumental panel on the dash board but is only 70% sure. To replace that, it would cost us $1,400.00. If the problem continues, then bring it back for another diagnostic evaluation. It is unfair for us to pay for something that they are not certain will fix the problem and will not be refunded if the same problem occur but said if it does, then to bring it back for another diagnostic evaluation. At our expense? Is this fair? Is this a defective item on the 2006 LR3?

Land Rover LR3 Defective Suspension Compressor - Diagnostics showed original part was redesigned and suggested replacement. Contacted Land Rover. They would not replace as it was out of warranty. I told them it was not a defective part, it was a part they engineered wrong which is why the diagnostic showed that part was to be replaced with updated part. After writing, calling, etc I gave up. So I had to have local repair shop replace as the closest LR dealer was 3.5 hrs away, so 7 hrs round trip, plus two nights hotel as they said they needed 2 days. Local repair shop cost was $1,300.00 using Land Rovers updated part (dealer wanted $1,600). Land Rover does not stand by their product. Yes, vehicle was out of warranty, however, I have since learned that others have had the same problem. When I spoke with their dealer, they stated, yes they have had to replace many of these. So if you buy a Land Rover, and they have a known part that will fail eventually due to their poor engineering, you better hope it fails in warranty period.

After spending time deciding on an upgraded SUV, I was compelled to the Land Rover Discovery Sport. I felt that the brand name would mean quality and high technology. I was very very wrong. The 2019 model still does not even support Apple Car Play - this feature has been available in much lesser quality vehicles for many years. The website leads you to believe that 2017 models onwards were equipped.... this is incorrect. After leaving the dealership, I learned that my vehicle was having a technology issue as the incontrol element would not work and I could not start my vehicle remotely. After 1.5 months, after bouncing me around from person to person - they finally updated tele-metrics. I was told this would update the system and Car Play would be uploaded. They even asked me the brand of my phone for the update. They sent me home with the phone still not connected and said to call customer service. Which after again being bounced around - 2 weeks later they have told me 3 times that car play update needs to be completed and 4 times that my car is not eligible. I am blown away at the lack of support, lack of knowledge of their own product, lack of follow up and incredibly outdated technology for a $48,000 2019 car. I would suggest avoiding Land Rover as they are clearly a mess. The vehicle itself is incredibly sluggish and very basic in terms of finished and quality. I regret my decision to leave the big 3 in search of quality and new technology as Land Rover is clearly behind the times. Let’s face it - if Land Rover employees don’t even know what the brand offers and websites are misleading, clearly the vehicle quality matches.

This is not in my character to post negative comments online about something that I like (I absolutely love my 2013 Range Rover Evoque) but I was advised by a manager at a retailer that this was probably my best bet to get some sort of explanation for the recent sub-par treatment I have been experiencing from Land Rover, in particular the Huntington, NY location. On 12/15, my fiancé and I were driving when a message on the dashboard flashed and said that the front left tire needed air. So my fiancé went ahead and attempted to put air in the tire. When he unscrewed the air valve, it broke, causing the tire to become flat. We ended up putting the spare on, which caused another message to pop up saying that there was a fault in the tire sensor system and because this happened at 2300, we decided to call the dealer the next morning. On 12/16, we called the Huntington dealership where we bought the car and were told that the next appointment would not be available until next week. We called several other dealerships that day and even explained the urgency of the problem being that we work 40mi away and did not feel safe driving on the spare. We were told that there was nothing Land Rover can do for us. My fiancé explained that we are being forced to look into other options to get the original tire repaired because we cannot wait a week, and again we were told theres nothing they can do, but give us the next available appointment. We ended up getting the original tire put back on, but the dashboard kept reading that there was a fault in the tire sensor system. My fiancé then drove the car for the scheduled appointment, and waited for the problem to be fixed. However, when the service men told him that it was ready, the dashboard kept flashing the same message. He told them that message was still there and the mechanic impolitely told him to just drive the car 5 miles and the message would go away. After driving for 10mi, the message stayed the same and he drove the car back to the dealership where they decided to give us a loaner and further look into the vehicle. Now today 1/4/17, Land Rover Huntington calls my fiancé to tell him that the service that they provided is not under warranty and we have to pay $400. I called Land Rovers customer service, and spoke to a representative that told me that tires are not included in the warranty, and that because of the recent holiday season there was limited availability for service. Two things wrong here: 1. it is something wrong with the sensory system not the tire and 2. there is no need to justify unsatisfactory customer service. Im very aware that we just celebrated a recent holiday season not to mention my birthday on 12/16, when I had to initially deal with this nonsense.Unfortunately, I am nowhere near my vehicle to look at the specifics of the warranty, but I will say this: this has been one of the most insulting and dismissive customer service experiences I have ever had. I was really looking forward to stay in Land Rover family and eventually upgrade to a vehicle for a growing family, but this service is absolutely deplorable. My mother who is the owner of a Mercedes Benz has never heard of such treatment with her company and here I am being subjected to this level of service, for what is known to be a luxury vehicle.

Its my second Land Rover since 2006 from LR Encino. The first experience was not bad. This time around its just unbelievable disappointing. My LR4 is handsome, black on black with a nice trim, wheels, etc. I have only had it for 2 years and whenever I take it into the dealership for diagnostic testing and service-they always have a list of issues with the truck, quoting thousands of dollars. For an expensive auto brand at 2 y.o. it is equivalent to an older car that needs a lot of repairs. It completely died recently. Why am I paying premium again just so I can shell out more money unnecessarily? I was sold a pre-paid service package at signing which is a waste of money! The dealer wants me to upgrade the nav system out of pocket, but its a lease! Maintenance is not included in the package, btw. Just not what I expect from Land Rover. Please make quality automobiles like you used to! STOP upselling and cross-selling nonsense!

I purchased a NEW 2018 Range Rover Sport in October 2018. Right out of the gate I noticed the throttle response was delayed. When I press the gas there is a 1-2 second delay before the truck moves. When you have the wheel turned its an even longer delay and then the truck bucks and goes. According to Land Rover White Plains and Land Rover Freeport its normal. Entering the highway is playing a game of chicken. I have to time the passing cars and hit the gas early to merge and pray I dont hit someone. In November 2018 (1 month of ownership) my truck wouldnt drive. The car was on and everything was running but the transmission and gears wouldnt work. The dash said HDC FAULT, STABILITY CONTROL FAULT, TRANSMISSION FAULT & GEAR SHIFTER FAULT. I towed it to LR Freeport and they didnt have any loaner cars to give me so I had to rent a car from Hertz. Dealer said I would be reimbursed for the rental. Now LR is giving me a hard time about reimbursing me for the rental when according to my warranty and contract Im due a loaner when I bring it to service at no cost to me!! Im still fighting for reimbursement! After picking up the truck they said it needed an update. Its crazy how a little update can affect so much. Now the truck is fixed but the throttle is still horrible. The 2 center screens are delayed before turning on (1-2 minutes). The maps in the infotainment odometer doesnt turn on. The rear view camera is delayed and choppy. My sunroof makes a whistling noise (according to LR thats normal). My park distance control works when it wants and when its cold out I have to run the truck for 15-20 minutes before I can drive it otherwise the transmission bucks and revs but truck doesnt move. How can you sell something for so much money and its nothing but problems and unreliable?? The internet is FULL of bad reviews and complaints for LR.THE WORST $90k Ive ever spent!!! I feel like I was robbed! I pray someone steals it so I can rid myself of this headache!! HOW DARE LR SELL THESE EXPENSIVE CARS THAT HAVE NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!! So unreliable! Get a BMW or Mercedes, save yourself the headaches! Oh and my father has a 2018 Discovery for 2 months and has had it in for service 9 times!! Looking into local lemon laws for him.

Dealership had my car for four months and returned it with numerous issues just to get their loaner back and shove the car out the door. Came back with a busted windshield, door handle, tire pressure and balance issues as well as a filthy interior. They likely broke the windshield when they removed it to replace the front harness but say it was a poorly repaired recall item from the past. They told me to bring back their loaner and go rent a car and pay for it out of pocket. They offered first to pay my lodging since the delayed parts derailed my travel, then rescinded the offer. The owner even said that I must have done something to it to cause a 2016 Evoque with only 30K miles to completely fail. I assure you, my use of the vehicle has been quite tame, even outright boring compared with the shenanigans you see on the Land Rover Commercials.Land Rover has lost what would have been a customer for life. I fell in love with this beautiful car but its beauty belied the many problems under the surface. Land Rover cares zero for their customers or their brand and youre best off to bring your money to another dealer who cares about their brand and their customers. I spent many years in customer service and can say I have never been treated so poorly.

I have written a review before on this site but this time after 6 years of being in court with Land Rover. I can now tell you everything what has happened. First I have owned 6 Range Rovers and up to the last one I bought from Lloyds Land Rover in Carlisle UK dealer. I had little or no problems with the cars. But then I bought a new sport HSE with the new Jaguar engine 3 litre. From the start this car was a lemon. After only driving less than 200 miles I had a fault when I was driving along it would pull up for no reason. The dash would light up with all kinds of failed components such as hill decent fail brake assist fail engine management fail gearbox fail just about everything.I would then ring Lloyds of Carlisle up and complain that the car has stopped again. This happened several times. I was getting sick. I had just bought this car at a cost of over 65 thousand pound of my very hard earned money. At that price you would think you would have no trouble. This was not the case.I told the garage that I wanted the car fixed so I was asked by Lloyds of Carlisle to take the car in and could I leave it for 3 days. I agreed to this. On the third day Lloyds rang me up and told me that the car was fixed and I would have no more bother with it again. This was on the Friday around 5:30 that weekend we used my wifes car as my new Range Rover had let us down so many times before. On the Monday morning I got into the Range Rover 30th November 2009. I was going to a site meeting at Lochmaben. This was the first phase of 30 houses we started for DGHP possible 5 thousand houses that was getting upgraded and I had a chance of that work. When I was driving the car just out of Lloyds of Carlisle I reached a speed of between 60 - 70 MPH. All of a sudden without warning the cars brakes activated and I came to an abrupt stop. I hit my head on the headrest. Also my left hand was pushed into the steering wheel. I did not know what had happened at all. It was so fast. At first I did think something hit me from the rear but when I gained composure nothing had hit me. The only way I could describe what happened was it was like an emergency stop. I was very angry. I rang the garage from the car and told them what had happened that I was rejecting the car. I did not want it anymore. When I got to the garage I told ** all about it. By this time my neck was hurting a bit also my left hand. Lloyds gave me a loan car and I was told that somebody would ring me later that day. I drove home rang the site gave my apologies told them what had happened that I would not be on site that day. As the day went on my neck got worse so I decided not to go in that week. I struggled on for about 8 week until my wife forced me to go to the doctors from that day. The rest was history. I was x-rayed and I was told that I had shattered my neck after 3 operations on my spine. I am now in a wheelchair and never worked from that day.I had to pay off my workers and close my company down. I lost out in a big way a contract worth tens of thousands of pounds. I tried to sort it out with Land Rover but it was a joke. I was offered 20 thousand pounds plus replacement car at no charge. To me I accepted the car but when that was delivered after about 25 miles it developed the same problem. I was so angry but when I phoned up Lloyds of Carlisle I was told that the problem had been found and had been recalled. It went in. I was told it had sensors replaced and software upgrade had been done. I sold the car soon after but that car before it had done 20 thousand miles the engine had blown up. I did not know about all the problems Jaguar Land Rover had with their cars. If I did I would not be in the condition I am today as I could not sort out some sort of compensation with them and decided to take them to court after the biggest cover up by Land Rover in court. They lied in court to win committed perjury. The judge also said to me that I was trying to besmirch the good name of a first class company. He was under the impression that nothing like I said went wrong with their product dont know if he got a new car out of it or not.All I know is that after six year it was a farce. The only problem is I dont have the money to take them to the high court in London. If there is anyone out there has similar faults with their Range Rovers give me a call or email me as if something is not done to sort out this company. Someone will be killed because of the cars they make. According to Land Rover nothing ever goes wrong with their cars? Email is ** phone is **. Feel free to call or email me. It would help. Thanks.

Im having problems without my car and it would be nice of you if you could do it at the earliest possible. Thank you!

Between Range and Land Rovers, theres a ton of options. Theres the Sport, Discover, and Evoque which are all different prices. They are very nice and easily customizable. You can customize almost anything. A popular route is the blacked out Range Rover, which looks very sleek. You can also choose from the basics - just color of leather and outside. The car is beautiful inside and beautiful outside! I love the look and feel of the cars. Great colors for leather and outside. It has very distinct look and you can tell they are Rovers. A lot of the cars have a 7 person capacity, but the back seats can be small and crammed. The front seats are full and luxurious, though, and could comfortably seat two petite people (not while driving though!). Its overall a great car and would recommend it.

I purchased a Land Rover Discovery TD5 new from Lance **, Ferntree Gully in October 2004. On or around 13 March 2013 Lance ** replaced the fuel pump in the vehicle, which involved removing and replacing the fuel tank. Following this work, the fuel gauge was not seated correctly (showing incorrect fuel levels) and the fuel tank was removed and the gauge reseated. In June 2016 fuel started leaking from above the fuel tank when the motor was running. The fuel tank was removed to find damaged fuel lines because they had not been correctly sighted when the fuel tank was replaced in 2013.On or around 26 September 2013 Lance ** replaced the battery in my vehicle. Following this work I was unable to turn the motor off, the cruise control kept disengaging, and the electric trailer brakes were not working. I had to return the vehicle to have these matters rectified, but paid for a new electric brake console myself. On or around 16 September 2014 Lance ** completed a service and failed to notify me, or carry out mechanical work on a water leak. At this same service I had asked that a light in the dashboard be replaced, but I was informed they were unable to obtain a globe. I think you will agree that the events described above are unacceptable. I had been taking the vehicle to Lance ** believing I would receive an excellent standard of service, but I have been grossly let down and incurred considerable financial costs.

Ranger rover evoque 2014 - Just got this vehicle few months back. Dealership at Flatiron tried to sell us with extra tags... but thats another story which was the start of the poor customer service. So vehicle was working perfectly until we took it back to the center for some updates they called us for with a letter. We get the car back, door floor lights stopped lighting and after one day car wont start altogether. Wed call the same service center and he tells he doesnt have time and I will have to wait 7 days for them to see the issue. (This is the place we got the car and they did the update.) We called another service center, they were ready to see the car. So now we are responsible to get the car at the service station. Called roadside assistance and they were not able to find a towing company. Spoke with them several times. No use. 3 days I am sitting home with car standing on the side of the road outside my house. No assistance, no spare car offered. Just scared what if I was stuck at on a highway or middle of nowhere. Highly disappointed. Rethinking my decision to buy Land Rover. Really questioning the premier tag on Land Rover... is it true?

My 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged V8 was a wonderful car to drive, beautiful interior, looked amazing from the outside as well. I didnt have any complaints with it other than it was expensive to repair when things came up, and they did. But I knew what I was getting into and when you buy an expensive, luxury vehicle you expect this. What I didnt expect was a timing chain failure that destroyed the engine at 77,000 miles. What made this worse were a couple things.I apparently was wrong about the extended warranty I purchased. The dealer played the extended warranty as a way to buy extra coverage once the manufacturers warranty ended. This would have given me coverage for another year and or up to 80k mileage, which is what I thought I bought. Apparently Rovers dont get that type of coverage offered to customers because insurance companies know the issues are common in Rovers so they only offer extended warrantys that coincide with the manufacturers. Tells you something about their track record. I obviously didnt read the fine print on the warranty I bought and missed it covering this tragedy by 3k miles and 3 months. To fix the engine on this vehicle you have to replace it with a used one (about $12k) if you can find it or a new one ($30k). When I started digging into this I found out that Land Rovers V8 supercharged engines (also in Jaguar) have this timing chain failure happen all the time. I called a mechanic who specialized in Jag and Land Rovers and I began telling him my problem. He took over the conversation and began asking me questions like (is it a 2010-16?, is it the V8 supercharged? was it a timing chain failure? Did it have around 80k miles on it?). I was blown away as if he was a mind reader or something. Turns out, this happens so often and he repairs them so frequently that he knew exactly the situation I was in. He said its typically a $7-8k service call. That it happens all the time. I was really pissed off as you can imagine. My dealer was downplaying it like I was just some unfortunate person, like one in a million that this happens to. As I went online and started searching for information on this I realized that this is flaw in Land Rover/Jaguars v8 supercharged engines across their entire line. They know it. They deny it. And my guess is because buyers of these vehicles like myself have money, they just chalk it up as darn this must be my bad luck, oh well and dont say anything or make a big deal about it.Im not either other than writing this review I guess but my valued at $30k rover I had to salvage for $7k while I still owed $16k on the loan. I lost $23k in value because of a common engine component failure. Will I buy this great looking, good handling, awesome car ever again... no. So for all of you out there who want to own or do own one of these Jag/Land Rover V8s... Be very aware of this problem. It could cost you a bundle.

Since I bought my Land Rover I have been happy. Its very durable and Im glad I had no problem with anything breaking. That show me its tough and can handle my everyday driving. I really like the inside of my car. The interior is amazing. It is very easy to clean and if I take it and have it done it doesnt cost much. I also like how many people my car holds. I can go on a family road trip and have everyone because how roomy my car is. It makes me so happy to have everyone on a vacation instead of taking separate cars. Its a great quality vehicle. I have seen some upgrades that I would like to do to personalize my vehicle. It would be fine to do, its minor not to void my warranty.

I have been in love with my 2013 Evoque up until about 65K miles when a belt had to be replaced for $2,000. I let it slide. Now at 70,000 miles, I need a whole new engine. The fourth cylinder no longer has compression, so it is only running on three cylinders and cannot be driven. I have kept up with all regular service and have taken very good care of this vehicle. The dealership is unable to offer any sort of explanation or concern as to why this would happen to an engine with only 70K miles on it. A new motor is estimated at $15 to $20K. As much as I loved driving this vehicle, I thought I would be a Range Rover customer for life. Never again.

I just purchased my 3rd Range Rover and after 3 weeks (1.5 of which it was in the shop), I am getting rid of it. I have been driving for many years and am a competent, confident driver. Or at least I used to be confident. This car stalls WHILE DRIVING, stalls while stopped at lights, the doors open while driving! This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a car, Ive had nightmares and Im scared of my family using it to drive anywhere. Oh yeah, and when it stalls, it stalls in DRIVE and then the cheap knob/gear shifter sticks and there is NOTHING you can do to put it in park to restart the car. So there you are, in the middle of the road/highway/busy intersection with your high end car looking like an idiot and fearing for your life. Ive been a RR gal for 20 years. Theyve lost me now and Im going to warn anyone and everyone. I cant believe there arent any class action lawsuits over this.

It hold a lot of people, seven person capacity. Beautiful design and some of the finest interiors Ive ever seen. Baseball leather and things like heated and cooled seat. Also side seating on some model amazing brand. It very customizable and can be made to suit your needs. It really is usable for anything without a single upgrade though.

I purchased a 2008 Range Rover HSE. Car started making loud rapping sound from engine compartment. No warning or service lights are on. Had car towed to where all service had been done, Land Rover of North Hills in Pittsburgh. Was told that no oil registered on dipstick and that low oil light was now on but no service reminder light is on. Check of records shows last oil service was done there 40,000 miles/16 mo. ago. Inspection of car at dealer shows oil full 10,000 mi/5 mo ago. Advised to get new engine at my expense. I feel dealer/manufacturer bear some responsibility because service light/low oil light never came on and argue that most customers have several cars and rely on these lights to keep track of service intervals. Dealer and Land Rover International feel you cannot rely on the lights and have to keep track of service intervals and oil level yourself.

Purchased a 2013 RR Evoque on 4/12/2016. Absolutely loved my vehicle. The fuel pump went out weeks after purchased. Still under warranty, fixed, no problems. Took care of my car. Had it serviced before even needed. Purchased extended warranty (5000.00). I kept calling the in control ownership and could not get it registered. It was locked on topix. At the dealership they told me nobody does that anymore. Which made no sense. Coz it tells you too. Well thats when things got weird. I brought my car in for an insurance estimate on the meridian system on 12/03/2018. They called and told me I needed a new starter and rear axle and differential. I never had a problem with either.9 weeks later Im told its ready for 13,000 dollars. They did not turn it in to warranty. Told me I have to. So he walks me out to a parking lot to my car (weird Coz they have valet at a luxury dealership). I get in the vehicle and its not mine. This was some salvaged vehicle obviously a flood vehicle. Steve ** walks out to me with a car fax report (how did he know who I was or what I was going to say). I said, where is my vehicle? He said, this is your vehicle. And told me, what you going to do about it? The police say its a civil matter but theres no contract. If that was me I would be in jail for motor vehicle theft. I have been on a year long pursuit to find my vehicle. He has wiped all my service records and the 5000.00 warranty doesnt exist. Motor vehicle has 15 entitle changes with 4 vehicle Ids. I went to level 123 inspections to find out its under investigations. Attorney General never even looked at the paper of evidence and took 6 months for a response from the dealer that altered all entitles. No response from corporate. I recently discovered that car was from copart salvage auction. Steve ** was pulled over for taking flood damaged cars. So beware of and Land Rover vehicle. And do not consider car fax. They have changed the vehicles origin, service and mileage 3 times. In the meantime I continue my search for my vehicle so this Corp. can be sold for their business tactics. The vehicle was for sale in California at fast track auto while I was the owner. Its called cloning.

One of the display screens started to blind on and off constantly and the other two screens were scramble. I also was receiving a message saying intelligent brake system not available. The service department performed a software update and changed a part. The day I pick up my vehicle from the service department the same problems started again maybe 3 hours later. A few days later while waiting in the valet parking line the truck just turned off while I was still in drive. This happen twice. Another visits to the service department for a software update again and I was told my battery was dead; so they charged my battery. As of 1/6.2020 my vehicle is back in shop again waiting for anther display and a part because now Im receiving a message say Forward alert not available. The dealer refused to give me another vehicle and land rover customer service has not return any of my phone calls. I was given a case number and told it can take a few months for land rover to decide if they want to purchase the vehicle back.

I bought a 2004 Range Rover on 5/12/12 from this dealership (Vision Custom Car). Three days after having the vehicle, the car shut off on me. I called Mr. ** and advised what happened. He stated maybe the car needed service. I took the car to be checked out by two different licensed Range Rover professionals and they stated he sold me a lemon. This vehicle need over 5,000 dollars of work; it had engine problems and all kinds of oil leakage in 4 different spots. I contacted Eric in regards to whats going on. He never will take my calls and finally, I got in contact with him and he stated I cannot give the car back and he is not paying to repair it. I paid $13,000 for the car and over $5,000 to have it repaired. In Mr. **s report of the car (Carfax), the car was in very good condition, had no mechanical problems and no engine problems. Well, that was wrong. I am upset at how he handled business and he should not be a licensed dealership selling cars that are lemons. I want reimbursement of the extra $5,000 I had to put into this car and it has only been 1 month.

Hi. I purchased the Land Rover Discovery Sports at California and within 1000-1200 miles of driving I had a check engine light. I was driving the car on highway with my family and all of a sudden car lost power of the car and after those few seconds the check engine light came ON. I took the car to dealership. They said they checked the car and was unable to find the proper error with the computer, and they did a hard battery reset - I think it means disconnect the main power and restart it. Trust me I was really amazed to see that one of the costliest and computerized car in the world works on battery reset and not on technicalities.Later, I faced the same problem couple of times more and had requested Land Rover to replace my car but they Denied and said these exact line:- From consumer affairs division regarding your case. At this time, they are declining to repurchase/replace your vehicle as there have not been an unreasonable number of repair attempts for any one particular issue. Also, there are no documented repair orders detailing hesitation issues. I dont understand. What do you mean by unreasonable repair attempts. Personally I love Land Rover, my brother and family also owns other other model of cars and I am still fighting my case and I want my car to replaced.

Words cannot describe my frustration with the service I have received from the various Land Rover dealerships here in DE and PA. Anything from not receiving a call back at all, selling me rims with chipped powder coating that they could not remedy, shop foreman telling me that my car does not have keyless entry when it did (and he was not able to get it working), to waiting almost 3 hours in the service department with nothing done on my car only to learn that the staff was out to lunch for most of that time... The list goes on and on. *By far the most unprofessional & disorganized bunch of meatheads I have ever met -- consistently bad experience between the below dealerships: Wilmington, DE, Willow Grove, PA, West Chester, PA.Im left to believe that this is just business as usual for Land Rover, which only reinforces the thought that I should have never left Mercedes and BMW (West Chester, PA). Those dealership service departments were PHENOMENAL!!! Going to ride out the remaining 1 year warranty then get back to a car that I know, can provide better service. I love my car, just hate the service Ive received to date. Good luck consumers.

The car has 50,000 miles on it and I have had to replace the power steering shaft at a cost of $1,600. The horn button broke off and they do not sell just the button, they make you replace the entire horn. Most recently, my check engine light is reporting miss fires and they are recommending replacing all wires and spark plugs at a cost of $1,100. All of this within a 3 month period - awesome. I will never buy a Land Rover product ever again, and I am currently trying to sell mine. Dont put yourself through this. Omg omg omg... Ill be honest with everyone, they are nice looking cars but whatever you do... DONT and I mean dont waste your money on a Range Rover. I bought one and took care of it like it was one of my child. These cars are horrible, the maintenance on them is non-stop. I mean these cars are garbage and the service fees are wow, I mean you can spend almost the cost of the car in two years of maintenance. My truck was worth almost 20,000 dollars and in the end I took it to the dealer and handed them the keys after it broke down and I swear to you I told them this is my car abs, this is the keys to it and this is the title and gave it to them and walked out.As much as it hurted letting it go cause of the money I spend but in the end it was a relief, Range Rover is a piece of **. Excuse my language but please think twice before buying a Range Rover, the car will put you in big debt. Oh Lord I can tell you so much about my truck it will take me days explaining it, and I swear to you its not just me. I have a family member and also a friend that are crying worse than me. Please please whatever you do... DONT BUY A RANGE ROVER.

I was always told that these are good vehicles. Just very costly to fix. I went ahead and purchased the Rover anyway, and took a chance. It ran good for 5 months, engine light came on, had it looked at and it would come on randomly. Never could get it repaired correctly. I then was driving in a mountain area here in Colorado, when I heard a heavy thumping from underneath the Rover. Got out in the snow and ice and realized my front drive shaft broke at the u-joint which are machined on by a press. When it was flopping around it hit the transmission housing and cracked the pumpkin. So when the front drive shaft went, it also took out the transmission. IM now driving a Volkswagen jetta that I couldnt be happier with while the Land Rover is sitting out back collecting weeds and dirt wondering if I should even fix the damn thing. IM very disappointed with the Land Rover title.

In all the vehicles I have purchased both personally and professionally I c
In all the vehicles I have purchased both personally and professionally I can only report exceptionally delightful experiences with both the dealership and the sales rep - until I purchased a Range Rover from Hennessy Jaguar Land Rover Gwinnett. My previous experience in purchasing vehicles was, in fact, so delightful that when I have purchased my company vehicles at one dealership I have typically used for this purpose that I have sent the dealership staff and sales reps gifts after closing and written glowing reviews and completed surveys indicating satisfaction above and beyond the norm. This is my first negative experience with a dealership and it’s been one I don’t care to remember, but would rather forget. From the assistant manager Mr. David ** developing convenient memory loss as to his promises made as part of the transaction later, after the purchase, to the questionable ethics and practices of Mr. Ricky ** in the finance department. Having previously heard woeful tales from others about their experiences with car dealerships, I could never relate. It has now become my unfortunate reality. After experiencing multiple issues with the vehicle purchased at the dealership less than a month into ownership and only having possession of the vehicle for 18 days of that month long period of time due to the time the dealership had it for the initial repairs it became clear this Range Rover is a lemon. It broke down not but a few miles from the dealership on the date of purchase. The battery light came on even though the dealership said the issue was a fuel sensor which was repaired. They told me that the repair addressed the issue and it wouldnt occur again. Did I mention it died in the middle of Interstate 85? Slight safety issue if you ask me, but neither the dealership nor Land Rover seemed terribly concerned. I mean, I could have been hit by a driver doing 80 mph on the interstate, but perhaps the Range Rover makes for a better coffin than mode of transportation. Then the driver from the dealership that was driving my company car damaged the tires and front bumper on his way back to my home driving the vehicle. Then the check engine light began coming on and going off seemingly randomly. Not yet having a permanent tag for the vehicle while experiencing multiple issues in less than a month clearly points to this being a problem vehicle.Through all of this unfortunate experience I did my best to be patient and understanding. Yet it became clear that approach doesn’t work with this dealership or manufacturer. The dealership will lie to you, make promises they wont keep, mislead you and then claim they never made any commitment of the sort. Please save yourself, do not consider purchasing a Land Rover vehicle.I now have possession, only part time since its in the shop half the time, of a very beautiful and expensive piece of junk that sits in my garage when I do have part time custody because Im too afraid to be left stranded the next time it dies while Im driving it. I mean Land Rover does have Roadside Assistance, but thats right, theyre only open and available during business hours Monday-Friday so if I am left stranded, Im on my own. Lets hope I have a signal on my mobile device so I can make contact with someone who cares - apparently thats not Land Rover. DO NOT buy a Land Rover product... That is unless you want to add stress and frustration to your life and a hunk of junk in your garage.
